Renira sends Reneas and Malesse to ambush Cole at Rook's rest, unwittingly falling into the trap, Colin Eamon set for her, which includes a sleepy Vagar waiting to take a chunk of. out of Rainis's dragon. Brooding at the castle and ineffectual Agon decides to ambush the battle at Rook's rest and drunkenly arrives on Sunfire.

Happy to let his brother fly to his death. Police fucks up some troops in Sunfire until Amon jumps in and quote accidentally charred Egan to a crisp. Vagar dispatches of Raynees and her dragon with Cole waking up to find Amin. Almost ready to kill his brother, question mark. And that has been your midnight manifest

or the Red Dragon and the Gold. Chuck? you know this episode a lot of what you don't like to see in a community dragon on dragon violence targaryens potential animal abusers uh all of that out of the way this is what we've been waiting for man you know what i'm saying finally after seasons the seasons of being like dog these dragons are going to dance they're going to dance finally we did and honestly shout out my man vagar. Well, when he meets Alice Rivers in that interaction. She's kind of giving a lot of lore as far as, like, the, like, story of Heron Hall and, like, this place is haunted as fuck. And, like, there's blood in the, in the mortars. And, like, it's built out of these haunted trees that are, like, growing out of, like, things that are in your bed frame and stuff like that. And I'm willing to believe her.

And it very much kind of seems to be, like, this is his moment of weird inward reflection by way of which hallucinations. Do you think Alice is doing this thing? him or is the castles doing it to him? Well, maybe column A, column B kind of thing. But I think it's fascinating to know that he's having this sort of like conflict of heart with, you know,

he's beefing with his wife and he kind of wants his own claim to the throne or at least like we can see that he's thinking that. And it's an interesting and quite honestly like awesome way to show this. Is this a way to just nerve him? Because if he's involved in any of these battles

directly, he is so dangerous. that he would tip the scales? It's possible. I mean, if they would have listened to his original plan from episode one, the blacks wouldn't be down a dragon. That's all I'm going to say, so potentially, yes. You mean that original plan where he killed a baby

and then kick this whole thing? Where he was just like, yo, we should go jump vagar, two dragons, one. It's going to be great. Maybe. They didn't do that shit. I think part of it is, and this is a crazy say, but like it's growth from Damon,

like they're trying to, you know, make him less like a crazy baby killer. and more like somebody who like looks at the bigger picture because again like he was the one who was like bro forget all these dream stuff I don't believe in none of this the dragons made us kings the dragons made us rulers and now he's having those visions kind of like

whoa whoa what's what's going on I don't I don't subscribe to all this but it's continuously happening to me how do I then move past that so I think this is an attempt the show's attempt to you know have Damon get some growth grow a little bit Is this a real death for him?

Because the witch, I, it was either the previous episode or the other episode where she's like, you're going to basically die here. It's the last episode, yeah. Yeah. I have not read the book. So I'm wondering, I'm like, is he actually supposed to get got at Harenhall? Or is this more of a like, like an ego death?

Well, well, that's interesting that you bring that up because we're not going to talk about that. Because that, my friend, would be a classic book spoiler. Like, listen, Charles, book. Spoiler Holmes. I didn't read the books. What are we more for me? I'm in- I know.

I know you didn't read the books. But now you're asking us to talk about something that's spoiled in the books. Why are you antagonizing people this morning? Are you feeling mischievous this Monday morning? Oh, man. Yeah.

the solo mission that he's on to Jomey's point, there's something he's supposed to discover about himself while he's there. What is it? It seems to be like whether or not he's having this kind of like conflict of interest between possibly wanting to stake a claim for the throne himself, which feels insane to think that he would, like mass up like the brackens and the, uh,

or the, just the brackens to take up arms for his cause and just hold up in, uh, Aaron Hall until maybe this conflict is over. I don't know. But he clearly has a lot on his mind that he needs to get off his chest and with the help of, I don't know, this ayahuasca retreat that he's going on right now is,

uh, probably going to be the thing that does it. You call him Damon Rogers. Yeah. I mean, I also think the show is doing an interesting thing. because one of the visions he basically sees Aman or at least it's Matt with an eye patch on

and I'm like, oh, it's very interesting in this episode where like Damon is struggling with the thought of like, should this be my claim? Why am I following this person? And he's struggling with this. And then Aiman on the other side basically gets the chance to be like, why am I following this idiot?

I'm going to burn him to a crisp and potentially get him out of here. And it's interesting that these two characters that are very much a mirror of each other in this episode are both going through their own journeys of why should I be following this ruler? Why shouldn't it be me? I'm the biggest badass here who's going to stop me.

They feel like they're the most capable. And if it was the laws of nature on each side, they would be running things. both characters are struggling with honor, allegiance, and, like, dedication to family in a situation where they know they could be doing more. Okay. Before I even continue to do this, I want to know who brought one of these today. I've got mine. It's over there. Okay. Are you using yours?

I'm not. I'm using... Charles, you're not using yours. I'm not going to put coffee in my new water, my... Yeah, that's a fucking... can cop out. So let's do this. So Van is honoring my mom. Yeah, thank you. Shut up. Before I left today, I literally, I was a little late coming in today. You guys, would you guys like to know why? I drove down the street, stopped, turned around, and came back for this. And let me tell you why. Mama Steve, what was your name?

Marianne. Mary Ann. Mary Ann. Why are you doing that? Marianne went through all the trouble of making these beautiful, beautiful water container bottles for us with our faces on them. And papyrus font. And the very next week, Jomey, Steve, and her own son. Steve has his. I got mine. It's over there. Steve, what's going to tell the people why? What good?

Does the goddamn water bottle do over there? When Mary Ann made the water bottles force. What good does it do over there? It's tough to get rid of the default one, but the show bottle does mean to take care. Oh, my, thank you. It's tough to get rid of the default one. You know what? Pandering, you chose the black one. Like, that's a, that's a pandering in the first

degree. Man, so, Damon saw Lena. Can we get back to the show? We will. I'm just saying, I just, I didn't think this was the thing. Damon saw another one of his ex-wives, Lena and there after the trip, which, like, by the way, how long was Damon out, right? He takes the sip from

the Alice River's concoction. That had to be at least like 10 hours. And then he sits down and it's daytime and he's at the desk. I got some of those. That's a good night. Were you just time travel? It seems like in this entire thing, time is, and by the way, I just want to the sequence is insanely well done.

Yeah. It's insanely well done. Because there's one point where he wakes up and it looks like he has blood on his hands and I'm like, oh shit. from the dream and he's like, and he looks and then it cuts again and he doesn't. Like he legitimately doesn't know what's real and what's not. And you get all the way to that point to where we know that he's back in reality

when he's doing what he's always likes to do, which is to be mean to children. So like when the kid comes up there and when Damon because I'm like, this kid doesn't know, he's going to, he's around the fucking grinch of the entire West Rose universe. You should kill your grandfather. Kill your grandfather.

The kid's like, I'm six. I love my grandfather. Like, the little poor little telly. Like, I love my grandfather. I was agreeing with David.

I'm like, Damon is making some valid words. Oh, Jesus, of course he is to you. Damon's like, are you not going to kill your grandfather? You are no use to me.

Yeah, he's wasted Damon's time, bro. Also, I got to be real, like, of everything that's happening on House of the Dragon,

like, this is my least favorite shit, bro. Damon, like, why is he on the bench? Like, he needs to get active. I'm tired of him

being high in the fucking castle. You can't, contain. He's their, he's their Hulk. They, like, they have him sideline till it's time to bring. We all know, but you can't say this isn't interesting. You guys just say it. It is an interesting side mission. Yeah, I like it. The only thing about these side missions

that ever bothers me, and I think Alice is a good new character. The only thing about these side missions that ever bothers me is when they're not interesting. Right. You know, like, this is a very interesting side mission. And to see how he's going to come out of this after. This is the last episode. If he's still in that castle,

getting fucked up. I'm gonna be crazy if none of this was real that like Lord Heron Hall isn't there and it's just him and the witch just, oh no, no,

I can't have a butcher, another butcher situation. I can only deal with so many, like, these motherfuckers are not here before. I'm like, all right, time out.

Let's cut all the, I think the witch, is the witch real? Yeah, I think she seems real. I think she's real. Yeah, she's real.

And she, right away, is a character that we really haven't, because we haven't really checked in with the bastards. The bastards, in this world always have a very unique perspective because they're always out to choose their own adventure.

So because they have a 360 degree view of the world, the way they see things is always a little different. They don't quite have the obligations or on the other side of it, they're trying to prove themselves in a way that sort of hardens their perspective on things. So the way she was looking at everything at the same time, it makes sense that she was a river's speaking of bastards i want to bring up one scene that i was just

like at first i was confused about and i started laughing when rabis goes up to the homie who saved corlis and she like touches him on the cheek and she's just like your mother was beautiful i'm like is she trying to fuck this boy and then stop guys at first i was like because then corlis like walks up like and you're doing with my son oh that's his bastard I was like oh that's his bastard I was like, oh, that makes sense. But for the first couple seconds, I was like, the only thing that scene was missing was, I checked in here to a hotel in L.A.

Oh, my goodness. Yeah, I was like, is there going to be a black to a guy? And y'all know what that's from? I checked into a hotel in L.A. and I saw the matri-D looking at me. My husband hadn't got there yet. That's the only thing that scene was missing. Y'all can't say, man.

Jomey, you know that when she was doing that, I was like, oh, damn. I'm actually one of the D. They've alluded to him being, like, more than just his shiphand or whatever. Yeah, but she could have said, she could have just said that shit. She was like... You know, the thing is, cool. It wasn't that big of a deal.

Let your girl come to the Ring of Earth's Live show. And then she sees somebody. Let's say she see Sean Fennessee. And she walks. You're going to look over as you hold your medillo. You're going to be like, the fuck is going on with me. And no else she said because she knows he's going to go to war and it's bad. Okay.

Yeah This was a This was an episode where I really fell for Agan he's crashing out pretty bad yeah he's a wait a little you felt for who for agon man this was an agon crash out episode disaster class

they led him to the crash absolutely like everybody fucked over in this episode no no and it I don't I don't reserve a lot of empathy for somebody like him I don't but he sucks he's terrible but there's this there's this great interesting conflict that he has when his brother like just clowns him

in front of the small council in High Valerian and he doesn't understand it and it very much informs the former conversation with him and Allison where he's just like to know that you are of no use to what is happening right now and to know that anything that you can contribute

is either useless or ill-advised and you fucked up this bad now you're just permanently benched and all you need to do is just sit there and be king because now the adults are talking and we you have to go to war for you.

That's it. I mean, frankly, completely silly work from Allison. You can't do that. You can't do that. Can't do what? I mean, she was honest with them, right? She wasn't wrong. But imagine the position that she's also in now because like...

worst possible person because to your point there's no decorum. At least he could act like the history books were important to him. At least he could act like the way his father ruled was important. And to him he's just like, I want to get on my dragon and burn and everything to the ground. And she's like, can you please just relax? I mean, it's that conversation plus the conversation he had with Otto and episode two.

And then you countering the fact that both Amund and Chris Cole were like, yeah, we're just going, we got a whole thing going on.
