Mirosov closer?
Yeah.
The German striker, he played forward Cups for Germany, 2002, 2006, 2010, and 2014.
He finished third twice, second once, and won his last one in 2014.
He broke the record.
But he won the World Cup with Germany.
Yes.
And he won, he scored, he broke the record against Brazil in that famous 7-1 game.
And so that's like, personally, my soccer goat.
It's your soccer goat.
Let me ask you a question here, the soccer situation here.
So this whole messy Ronaldo thing, I mean, it's not really a thing, right?
It's not, I mean, it's not.
People online will tell you that it is.
But it's really not a competition.
Nancy's just kicking his fucking ass.
You know what I mean?
Ronaldo, you're a little nigga.
Okay, well, I want to know that far.
But hold on for a saying, this is my camera right here.
Everyone is talking about Ronaldo.
This is the type of shit, it looks.
It's all looks with you.
It's all eyebrows.
Take your terrible statue.
It's like, it's all looks with you.
Messi didn't got you, bro.
You're like, you're a little nigger.
You're messy little nigger.
I want you to watch this.
I want you to think about that.
You got son, dog.
What is this energy?
No, I like this.
I like this.
This is a great social content.
Let's click that.
That's facts.
That's facts.
Is it a little bit of a piece of shit too?
Oh, see, now I didn't even know this part.
Fuck you.
Wait, Joe, me, am I wrong?
Why I said fuck the man?
He's like, he's like a terrible person.
Oh, you don't want to get into this.
I mean, it's allegations.
You know what I'm saying?
Ronaldo got a weird case?
He got a weird case.
No, he got a weird case.
He got a weird case.
On top of, you know, the incest stuff.
Oh, dog, let's get the fuck off.
What?
See, can't say something?
Wait, am I wrong?
I don't know about the ins.
I know about the weird case.
Hold on.
That's why he's playing in Saudi Arabia.
Okay, wait a minute.
Civil lawsuit.
Well, no, no, no, gosh, you know what?
Can we can I say something?
This is the reason why I don't want to get into this because I was having a fun jovial
situation.
And now he made it weird.
Wait, I'm not.
Wait, there was not a time on the internet where motherfuckers was like, dog,
why is his sister all up on him?
This is weird.
Am I wrong?
Is this a wrong guy?
That I haven't seen.
Do you know who I heard about Ronaldo dating?
Do you guys remember Cassie Davis?
No.
No.
You don't remember her?
Was she a big thing outside of the celebrity watching era that I was in?
Cassie Davis.
You guys remember her?
Cassie Davis.
No, I don't know.
Cassie Davis.
A white girl from Miami?
Oh, that's not who I Googled just now.
Okay.
Who did you say, did she pop up?
No.
Jomi.
Let me.
Cassie Davis, an American actress best known for Tyler Perry movies.
That's not the same person.
No, I can imagine.
Can't imagine.
Hold on.
Let me, let me introduce Jomey to Cassie Davis.
Hold on.
Okay.
Jomey, you're going to like this.
Hold on for a second.
I want to introduce Jomey to Cassie Davis.
Look, not following, but who might be following that we know?
Let's see, anyone.
Frasier.
Freaky ass.
Shout out to Frasier Tharp.
Look, this is Cassie.
Oh.
Okay.
This is Cassie Davis, right?
there.
Right.
What are your thoughts,
Jeremy?
Why is there
soap there?
It looks like she's
doing Cassie Davis
soap line.
Is that,
that's a,
that's a hundred and seventy-eight
likes?
Yeah,
but I mean,
it's on the soap,
okay?
Right.
So, I mean,
there's other likes,
obviously,
this is going to get more.
Yeah.
But when I was at TMZ,
she was hanging out
with Rinaldo one time.
That's what I remember
about,
like,
that's the only thing I remember
with Rinaldo.
There's a lot of
bullet points on the
Rinaldo allegations
Wiki.
Look.
I'm saying,
That's all I'm saying.
That's the last.
So that's the only time, look, nine years ago, I was still at TMZ.
They, she was hanging out.
Look, I might actually be on this.
I mean, I might have been wrong about the incest stuff.
Sorry, Renalto.
Sorry, you are.
My bad.
My bad on that.
We just had House of the Dragon.
Hold on for a second.
Why did they have Dax doing TMZ sports stuff back in the day?
That's crazy.
That's you, man.
You were the one that was there.
They're lucky.
I didn't see that.
Shout out Dax, but why would Dax be doing a sports hit?
No, that's fucking me and Evan and Mike.
Nine years ago?
Yeah, nine years ago.
Like, nine years ago, I was at TMZ Sports.
I was a senior producer at TMZ Sports.
Like, why would Dax be doing a fucking sports hit or the fucking sports desk?
I don't know back to Harvey.
Are you going to go back to Harvey?
Everybody thinks I hate Mike Babcock.
I don't hate Mike Babcock and me, we're talking not too long.
You're going to go back to Harvey?
You're like, hey, man, this is crazy.
I should bring it up.
I could bring it up right now.
I should text Harvey right now.
You should call him right now.
Whatever.
Let's get to it.

I did a baseball podcast.

Okay.
Phenomenal.
Yeah, the baseball podcast with Ben Lindberg
was a lot of fun.
We talked about all kinds of stuff.
You talked about Shohey O'Hautony winning MVP?
I didn't know that he was going to win it.
You say that he's going to win.
You say he's a lot.
He's like, it's God willing,
he stays healthy in the whole season.
It's a lot.

On today's show, the Midnight Boys are back in Westrose.
Guys, this is a big fucking deal.
This is why the vibes are so high right now.
Because after a long, motherfucking hiatus,
we are back in Westero's house of the dragon.
I mean, we were in Westero's.
January.
That is true.
We did unleash the dragon now.
We got dragons now.
We got dragons now.
Was there a dragon?
There was a dragon.
There was no dragon.
There was a puppet.
And a guy who called himself.
Oh, because that's post-dragon era.
Post-Dragons.
So we're back.
And I don't want to be disrespectful to Tonight in Seven Kingdoms
because that was a lot of fun.
Yes.
But this is the big bad,
the big boss man of Game of Thrones right now.
It's the house of the dragon.
Oh, no.
Duncan Egg might have the corner still.
I think so.
I think it might.
We'll see.
We'll see.
We'll see.
We'll see.
We'll see.
We'll see.
I don't know how you watch.
episode without that, but by all means, by all means, you guys are entitled to your opinion.
So after watching this episode, we're going, you know what, let's do a Dunkin'A
comparison later because I'm kind of, yeah, I'm tripping on it, but you know, I'm into this.
Okay, look, you guys, we're going to be spoiling and talking about all kinds of Game of Thrones
stuff. Jomi read the books. So he's read a lot of the books. Steve's read the books.
All right. So we're going to be spoiling some stuff here. So if you don't want to know,
who killed Danzo McCracken in Western Rose
One of my favorite Game of Thrones characters.
Like, if you don't want to go to Mr. Cracken, don't listen to this.
Okay, shout out to McCracken.
Well, we're not going to spoil anything.
Give it up to McCracken real quick.
Go to the homie McCracken.
Appreciate you.
We're not going to spell anything
that is, that will come forward.
So everything up to this point.
Up to this point.
So nothing that happens in fire and blood
beyond what you've seen on HBO will be spoiled.
Steve runs a spoiler warning.
We're getting ready to talk about
Howse of the Dragon.
You're listening to a reaction podcast.
The spoilers are coming.
Okay, to begin our reactions,
we once again bring you the Midnight Manifest,
taking you through the need to know
of this particular episode.
The only person that can do that is Chuck Wagon.
Chuck Tuck, take it away.
All right, there's your Midnight Manifest
for the premiere of House of Dragon,
in Season 3, directed by Ryan Condal, written by Lonnie Perester.
Reneer struggles to convince Chase that Allison can be trusted and that our olive branch of
peace is real.
Unfortunately, when Alicent returns to King's Landing, her planning is undone when she realizes
Amon is on the throne.
Agon has escaped with Laris, leaving the Iron Throne vacant, so Alicin convinces her son to fly
to Heron Hall and draw Damon out, and Amon returns his mother's wisdom with an incestuous kiss.
Soon after this, the Battle of the Gullet begins.
Corliss and Allen ready their ships to take on the triarchy, but the fleet is outnumbered.
Lacks the queen in her room and convinces Baila to fly with their dragons to save Corlis and his ships.
After successfully claiming sheepstealer, Rana joins to help the battle, but she can't control the dragon.
Sheepstaler attacks Jace and Bela while also bathing ships in fire indiscriminately.
By battles end, it's unclear who truly won.
Both fleets are torched.
The sea snake is missing and Jace plus his dragon are dead.
That has been your midnight manifest for the House of the Dragon season three.
So before we get into instant reactions for this show,
wanted to rewind because in the last season, if people remember, I think that was a letdown in terms
of just like, this was the battle that they were saving. We all were just like, oh, we're waiting
for a season two, Csies, too. And it was just like, nope, you got to wait. So do you guys,
how do you guys think this show kind of set the table for that? Because to me, it almost basically
just put us back in the world. There wasn't really a lot. They were just like, this almost seemed like,
a straight continuation of where we're at in season two.
I'm like, oh shit, we are.
We're doing this.
Okay.
I really enjoyed that because to your point, we finished season or season two episode
eight and we're like, all right, what's next?
Yeah.
They're like, you got to wait two years.
You know, we've talked ad nauseum about, you know, HBO cutting the season short,
the writer strikes, the whole thing that affected season two.
But I feel like, and that's why I enjoyed the episode so much because it didn't baby us.
It didn't like, hey, we'd be gone for two years, here's the, da, da, da.
They're like, no, we're back, baby.
This is basically season two, episode nine.
Here you go, right there.
And I just love being back in that world just like in general, but also they didn't
play, they didn't try to play with me.
They didn't try to like, hey, guys, remember this?
They're like, no, we're back.
I'm very interested to see what the previously on package that we're going to get on HBO
when this actually, like, when the premiere happens, what everybody's going to see
for five minutes of like to bring everybody up speed.
Because it was quite jarring and be like, oh, wait a minute, I need to go back and see
this finale.
I'm like,
wait a minute,
where are we now?
Who is this?
Yes,
yes, yes.
It was brilliant because it was nothing but plot.
There was nothing but plot happening in this episode.
And it was thrilling to see.
I think my main sort of like vibe check on where the show's at right now is that this is operating like we know that we are barreling towards a finality.
I don't know how it like what the vibe is for the show to convey that feeling.
But everything is operating in least in this episode.
of like, we are pointing towards an ending.
And all of the meandering that we were getting criticized for in the second season, gone.
Yeah, the show in the narrative of the show, they can't backpedal for you guys.
Like, I mean, for for the audience watching, the show can't go back and go, oh, remember this stuff that happened?
No, right.
That would be like, that would be regressive exposition.
Right.
Exactly.
Oh, no, that's not what I'm advocating for.
I just there, because there's been such a long game.
with the show when I sat down for this episode,
it did take me like 15 or 20 minutes
to kind of like situate where all the characters were
and kind of remembering like, okay,
because like even it was funny
when I saw like Damon on the screen,
I was like, oh, okay, like Damon's finally doing stuff now.
He is fighting.
I was like, wait, what's he fighting for again?
Because in the second season, it was just like,
he was talking to the jury.
So I was like, oh, they are, it was kind of...
They just have to assume that you know.
Yeah.
In order to tell their story,
they have to assume that you're watching the show.
So all of that stuff will probably be in one of those.
And I will say this, though.
I watched the episode twice.
And I did go back after the first time I watched it
and watch some YouTube recaps,
hey, this is everything you need to know leading up
to the first episode of House of Dragon season three.
I will say this, though.
I did that more to supplement certain elements of the pilot.
Certain things in a pilot need absolutely zero context.
Like how fucking dumb Jace is.
Glad he's dead.
Come down.
Like how, come on, come on.
Like how fucking dumb he is.
That needs you, that is a part of this particular episode
that you don't really need very much table setting for.
All you need to know is that she was going to go out
and ride the dragon in this battle where the sea snake is.
and a plucky kid got fucked up.
Right.
And got involved in the conclusion.
You don't, there's no value
in trying to protect his mother?
No.
Okay.
Your mom is the queen.
Yeah.
Right?
I'll say something else.
That would not have happened if it was a king.
Of course, not.
If that were a king.
Yeah, of course, of course.
If that were Damon or a king that was in that situation,
he would have never usurped that regents
authority by
you're right you're right
you would have never ever done that
so not only was it dumb
but it was sexes by Jace
he got shot up by a bunch of arrows
I was pleased you're not incorrect but however
they wouldn't even be in the situation if it was a game
well whatever
it's okay
that's neither here nor there
but their entire
claims to the throne
claims to the throne could be a thing
with men right it was all robbers
rebellion sure we're literally doing that now
if Fraynira dies, their whole thing is done.
You know, the whole thing's over.
I know, let's stay on that.
That is what-
That's true.
Confuse me, because, like, we just did the Game of Thrones draft.
And I think what we all responded to
and when we were talking about those earlier seasons
is your Tyns and your Tynens and all your little fingers
and all these different characters that were so smart.
And whether it was wisdom, whether it was strategy,
you could understand their plans,
whether they worked or not.
From the beginning when Reneer is like,
first when she's like,
yeah, I believe Allison, too.
All right, I'm a ride out on my dragon.
I'm like, Reneer, you are the fucking leader
of this entire fucking revolt.
Why would you fly out there?
The minute you get got,
this thing falls apart.
Everyone dies.
It's a house of cars.
I did not understand that.
I can understand people having a problem
with somebody going out there and fighting.
I'll tell you guys
something else, Kings fight.
By the way, the way that this entire thing
happened in Westrose, that was
three rulers that were riding on
Dragonback, burning shit up.
The guy and his two fucking sisters that he was having
sex with. So that is pretty much
customary. Kings
fight. True. All right? They get
a sword and they fight. Oh, oh my God.
Rally around the king. It is the king.
Now, if the king is old as piss, maybe not.
But other than that, kings fight.
She wanted to go fight. You got to let her
fight. It happens.
Whoa.
Isn't this the entire reason that the dragon seeds are there?
Like, you just have populated your army with way more dragons than the other side.
Before you're just like, all right, I'll handle this myself.
Should you be like, you know what?
Let's send some of the rookies out.
You know, like, let's send some of the left.
What's off doing right now?
Yeah, exactly.
Here's the situation.
In this particular case, the rookie is her son.
She's already lost the son.
she is the ruler
and she gets to decide
who does the fighting
you don't lock her in the closet
and keep her there
with one of the Queens guard
playing fucking uh
accomplice to that
and then take your ass out there
that is usurping
the ruler of the bench.
I'm not disagree with that
but also when
the characters on this show are so dumb
but this is like
but I got to trust Alice
I'm like
you do not need to trust Alice
this is why okay so
We'll get back to Jason's death a little bit later.
Let's go through the episode.
Chuck, take us through it.
All right.
So, like, maybe let's start with, like, the big story moment.
Who do we want to start with first?
Do we want to start with Roneira or do we want to start with everything that happens in Kings Landing?
Because in the beginning of that episode, Amin fucking furious.
Right.
What was the charge?
He's been to kill that.
He's been to kill that member of the city of me.
He ain't got all that, bro.
That black man was just, what did I do that?
Oh, shit.
That was nasty word.
I felt like Amon in this episode, at this particular time in the narrative,
Amon is a little aimless.
He's a little pussy because he's not really trying to go out there
and get in the middle of shit because he knows Damon is out there, right?
He doesn't want to really run into Damon.
At the same time, he's trying to, his brother's gone.
And so since his brother is gone, his brother's fucking lost his goddamn mind.
This is very compelling to watch.
Right.
Since his brother's gone, it seems as if he's trying to take whatever authority that is in his near vicinity.
Whatever's close to him.
He doesn't want to go out and get it.
He doesn't want to go other places because there's danger out there.
He's trying to take the authority close to him to kind of rally the troops around his kids.
But it's this weird stalemate that he actually kind of finds himself in because of the fact that Agon and Laris have absconded is because, oh, this is actually the closest that I could actually be to lock.
in some sort of power if I actually stayed put and he doesn't want to stay put.
He doesn't want to go anywhere or he doesn't, he wants to fight.
He wants to fight.
He doesn't want to stay put is what I'm saying.
Oh, I don't know if that's the case.
You think that he wants to.
I don't think he wants to die.
No, I think he is scared.
Like, I think Allison reads him for filth immediately, which is just like, hey, yo, when
you got Vagar and you got the biggest dragon in the world, hey, you're not afraid of anything.
the minute Reneira gets all of these dragons,
it puts him into a like,
oh, now I gotta fight Damon and Reneira and her dragons.
They can't do.
You can't do all that.
He can't do all of it.
And it, like, shows that, like,
to me, that was what was interesting about this episode
was, like, Amon having a big swinging dick
when, like, the score is up.
And then when he's back is against the wall,
is like, who are you real?
Frontrunner.
True cowardice.
the truest form of cowardice is front running.
Yep.
That is in everything.
If you are a frontrunner,
that is the truest form of cowardice you have.
If your bravery is only manifested in you
when you're up and you got everything,
if you can't find any bravery when the-
What's that, Michael Jay?
It's easy to talk when you were.
Now you talk when it's zero-zero-zero now.
Right.
That's the truth.
So kind of that's what he's dealing with.
And that's why his character in this particular episode seemed to me, like, almost
specially evil.
He seemed like he was not evil.
He seemed specially sinister because he was down.
He was taken down a bit of him.
But also, it was interesting because in previous seasons, they had very much teased and not
even teased that Aeman has in Edipus Complex.
Oh, boy.
I mean, let me...
And that scene, I gotta give it up to both performers.
Oh, my God.
Was...
Allison's face.
Alice's your face, she was like, oh, all right.
I have made a huge mistake.
Okay, it's happening.
All right?
You know how you watch, you be watching TV,
and you be like, hey, they face a little too close.
I'm not really...
Why are you getting closer?
Yeah, why are you getting closer?
Hey, chill.
Hey, I like, pause the TV.
I was like...
I paused and I walked away.
I was like...
I paused us.
We're not doing this.
You're a freak-ass nigg.
We're not...
You're pausing on that part?
I paused it because I was in...
Hold on for a second, bro.
I'm not allowed to be a comfortable.
So you're uncomfortable so you wanted to stay longer.
Not that you were uncomfortable.
I was hoping.
Because I went past it.
I was hoping I was like this can be.
Playback speed at 0.5.
When he was kissing his mom, listen, gosh.
Dog, man.
I did rewind it and started laughing because her Allison's face is horrifying.
When he started kissing her, I paused it again.
You know, and her eyes are like wide open.
She's just like studying.
They know that Game of Thrones has groomed us to where it's brother and sister, one thing.
It is, what, unto cousin?
Whatever, where are Danny?
Yeah, yeah.
It's uncle.
An uncle.
Like, aunt nephew.
But what Game of Thrones has never done is had us have a mom watch us, have us watch the mom raise the son.
Oh, my God.
Like, raise the son.
And then put us in the situation.
where the son kiss the mom,
I feel like it was too much.
I couldn't fucking deal with it,
but I'll fast for you,
you,
dog.
We had the hallucination
that Damien had at
Haran Hall about his own mom
where it was like that hallucination dream
about like,
that was gross.
Yeah.
But that was like,
trippy and weird
and he was like possessed.
And we also don't,
we didn't see,
you know,
him and his mom
her giving him lessons and stuff like that.
So we know it's his mom,
but still it's kind of.
But it's so funny because it was like,
All right.
I'll do what you want.
I'll go to hair hall and I'll make you a feast.
I'm like, nigga, get out of here.
And then Allison's got to be like, okay.
Allison is in the dirt this entire.
Oh, my.
Oh, man.
Allison, this whole episode, bro.
I would say Allison, but she couldn't even handle it.
Allison is in the dirt.
This whole episode.
Really, both of our lead ladies are in this journey.
What Allison's, what's the daughter's name?
Helena, bro.
Oh, Helaideot, that was funny.
Yo, no, no, no.
It's not only that.
When she's writing the letter and then she asks Helena, do you know where,
where Eman went?
I'm like, why would you ask Helena?
She don't know.
Yeah.
She don't know nothing.
She out there living her best life, minding her business.
That is a crazy question to ask her.
You are cooked if you got to ask Helena for help.
It's over.
Yeah.
Although as the show continues, Helena seems like her senselessness is the only sense
that actually can matter.
I mean, crazy like a fox is what she is.
100%.
The only person with any, again, to your point,
any type of mental clarity at all.
Allison just is in deep water here.
Everything she's tried to do,
it seems like it's like just not turning out
the way that she thought that it was.
Well, when she got back and she sees Amon on the Iron Throne,
she's like, hey man, what you're not supposed to be here.
And then he's like, yeah, well, I'm not going
because I got to defend King's Land.
And so Hare and how you can see the life drain from her eyes because that means the plan that her and
nearer concocted is cold.
But once again, I circle back where it's like Jace is as annoying as this annoying shit.
We don't have a whole corner where we can talk about Jace.
The only time he was talking that real shit where I was like, hey, yo, Reneira, you know Allison
don't got the maneuvers.
Don't got the bank on her playing.
Otto is nowhere inside, bro.
she fucking cashed
She's your bestie
And you wanted to work out
Yeah
You thought it was an easy out
It seemed like an easy way
To get this whole thing finished
Yeah
But it was just
There's no easy
And then um
What you're gonna call it
Agon bruh
Lair said Agon
I was just like
That was comedy to me
That was so great
Was he spit in that dude's face
I'm like all right
He's like hey so yeah
This is the king
And he's like
No it's not
No he sold him out crazy
I mean there's got to be
I had to be like a plan B
because the way he immediately went like, all right,
bet that's the king
in Ray near his lands, by the way.
They wanted to swear filthy
to her. I loved how calm he was
the whole time. A incredible performance.
I loved how calmly was the whole time.
It was like, before you kill us,
there's a reason why this guy's
not bowing, this guy's
King Aga. And they're like, whatever. He's like,
there's this crown, they're blonde hair
to hold on. All right, we're going to kill you anyway.
Okay, before you kill us,
Let you know.
Get some real bread.
It's like, get some real bread for us if you bring us in a live.
You got the king.
It's a big deal.
You can demand your own price.
Yeah.
What about these guys?
You know, when he brings out the crowd, can you imagine that happened today?
You got like, fucking pieces.
He's like, I got the Rockefeller chain.
He's like, oh.
All right.
Okay.
You're like, you're home.
Back at Jay Z.
What totems would matter?
So the Rockefeller chain would matter.
The OVO, the OVO chain matter?
The OVO chain would matter.
Cash money.
But see, yeah.
So all of those would matter.
But actually, no, because there was a lot of things.
There's too much.
There's too many of them.
Honestly, the G-U-Nit spinner.
When the G-U-Nits spinner was out.
Because, like, there was a time where you could go to Mr.
Goldman and Baton Rouge and buy the No Limit Tank.
You just have faith taste off.
You got to have a...
You got to be out of...
I know, but I got to say...
There was one time.
I'll give you a time in life that I truly, like, I bitched out.
Not that I was getting pressed, but I should have said something.
It's a guy I knew.
It's a friend.
Not in the crew.
This would have never happened in the player proof-proof.
Okay.
The guy I knew, though.
Doing pretty well used to hang out with him.
So going somewhere.
He had a brand new chain.
He pulled the chain out, and it's a no-limit tank on that bitch.
Now look.
Now, look, guys.
Was there any way that he could have even been associated with the limit?
That's the thing, because you never knew at that point.
Maybe he was a cousin in A and R.
Well, there was.
so much stuff going on, right?
Like, my mom one time had all these t-shirts,
and it was because my mother was a loan officer,
and she was going to work for, like,
no-limit realty at some point, right?
So, Tresta Scott, like, P had every,
it was no limit everything.
Right.
P had no limit everything, right?
So you never knew.
And you also didn't know if he would have actually
maybe got signed to no limit.
You had no clue about whether or not.
Can I ask what year this was?
It's like 2001,
or 2000.
So this is like at the peak
sort of coming down of it.
But like Baton Rouge
Peel lives in the country club.
This is a full no limit situation.
So no limit is as big as it's gonna get.
Uh-huh.
So he had to tank.
He was wearing the tank around his neck.
We drove for a little while.
I was like, oh, you got some new shit, huh?
He's like, yeah, man.
You know, we'll some, some, some.
I'm like,
so you know, you fucking with P?
And he was like,
What you mean?
I'm like, that's the
That's the no limit shit
And you fucking with Pee, he was like
Nah, you know
I might see a nigga on the basketball court
or something like, but you know, not too much
Not too much
It's just like, you know
That's our shit
This is our shit
This our shit
For where we from
And I'm like
Well, first of all
These niggas from New Orleans
That's the first thing
It's Bat Rouge
And secondly like
Can you
Can you?
Can you?
Appropriate.
Can you claim that?
Can you do?
Can you put, can you?
Is that?
And he was like, what you mean?
And the way he said what you mean
indicated to me that he hadn't even considered
the level of Dick Rodden that he was participating in.
When he said what you mean.
Oh, like the hope was draining from his soul.
Because when he said what you mean, I was like,
oh shit my nigga a little slow
like you know what I'm saying okay I don't know about that
it had to be
like when he said when he said it like I was like
oh he don't know what's waiting out in these streets for him
he don't know what's going on he
even as a friend wasn't like
I couldn't do it brough stuff
yeah man you had to say something we was passing by
Mary Lee Donuts I was like
man let's go get some donuts I actually
bought this nigga a donut because that's how bad I felt because like he was an unwitting
dick rider and and that's the worst kind that's the worst kind that's the worst kind of dick riding
that don't know that we got into this man that don't know that they dick riding if he'd have been
like yeah you know I'm I'm hoping he's see this and I didn't put the drive on them and the whole thing
it would have been cool but I never could let that he he wore that bitch for like five years
oh five years right in the 2006 that chain I went home I
I was longer than five years.
I moved to Los Angeles,
came back home,
this nigga still had the no limit chain.
One of my other home boys was like,
Hey, bro.
Because he wasn't a friend of the hook was like,
tell your man he got to take the no limit chain off, dog.
He can't fuck what else.
That's an old chain,
too.
He can't come around here with the don't of the chain.
He's like, tell your man, tell your man,
tell your man he got to take the no limit chain.
One of my other homeboys was calling them silk to shocker.
It's like, dog!
Not silk, bro.
My folk with silk.
All right.
Okay.
So all of those different totems, and he had the chat, he had the hat, the crown.
The crown?
Yeah.
The crown, I guess you're not going to reproduce the crown.
No.
I mean, yeah.
No, you could feel the weight of it.
You know what I'm saying?
When you got the fake jewelry on you, like, you're like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Like this made of that real shit.
Westeroz-Diamond.
But also- When you see blonde, you kind of let him slide, right?
You got to have you.
I will say this is the problem with being in West Rose where he was like, all right, we take
these two, get the rest of them.
I would have looked at Agon like, you just had to keep your mouth shut, bro.
Yeah.
Now I'm losing my life because you want to get on.
To be fair to Agon though, hey man, would you, you in the streets, they're like,
hey, yo, bend the knee to your number one out.
You know what I'm saying?
How much pride do you have?
I get that he wouldn't do it.
Let's take it to the high seas.
The sea snake and his son, it seems like they were able to kind of figure their whole shit out.
Not really.
Not really.
I was getting pissed at Allen a little bit.
Alan, it seemed like a little bit.
They were able to figure that shit out.
No, Corliss brings him in.
He's like, hey, son, I'm popping the real, like, the special shit for you.
I'm sorry.
It's all my part.
Luxuries are wasted on me.
He's like, fuck your drink.
I'm like, motherfucker, you can't be wearing, being on his boat.
wearing all his shit, still trying to boss up on him.
Like, drink the drink, little nigger.
All you want is your daddy to hug you.
I will say this.
He was talking about his mom like a little crazy
where he's like, I was fond of your mother.
And then like he just kind of looks off.
That was, that.
Is there a non-crazy way to do it, though?
I appreciated that.
No, you don't need to remember the night, man.
Let me tell you why I appreciated that.
I appreciated him going, you know, I liked your mom.
Right?
Because, no, he had it with his little smirk.
He's like, I was fond of your mother.
No, because what he was really was saying that.
What he was really saying, I was like, damn, your mama had a fat ass.
He had something on it.
But why is he supposed to say the mom, like he's, he wasn't just that I was passing through port to port and I found somebody.
I actually liked her.
I can't say that I loved her.
I liked it for real time.
Why don't give me the name?
What?
You liked enough to smash, but you didn't like enough to give me your name.
I don't know if I like you yet.
Hold on.
I'm trying to build a life for you, he said.
So here's the part, I think, and this is like an overall thought.
Because in that room, there's consternation, obviously, they're not quite jelling.
But once they hit the siege, man, once you start, the battle started, and they started, like, connecting.
They was like.
That was awesome.
Parts of the episode, because the coolest was just like, hey, yo, get off.
Get off the wheel.
And he started with him doing yourself.
I was like, damn, my dad really does.
To the point where he almost, he's like lost in the water.
And then he's like, oh, I got to go kill.
I got to go kill the triarchy leader because she, she killed my dad.
I got to go make it happen.
Is there still, is there black solidarity?
Because we don't know how race works in Game of Thrones.
But where Alist saw the white woman trying to go at his dad, he's like, I can hate him.
You can't.
And I was like, hmm, okay.
So we still got that.
Is House of Dragon, you know, doing?
their business in these woke streets where I was just like, you know what, seeing
brothers control the seas.
They always saying, we can't swim, we can't that.
And they like, no, Corlis is leading his brothers and being like, no, this is our domain.
Yeah.
We like, we, we, we, we, the boat captains.
We sell the shit through shallow, like, the white women that's coming behind us.
That's how much that white woman was chasing that black man.
That's like one of those girls in the NFL text where she was trying to, that's how she was.
That's what she was doing.
You remember the NFL text?
And he was navigating the teeth.
Yeah, he was like, that she was chasing him through the shallow water.
I did not like how she immediately did this shit herself.
I was like, that was kind of because when he did it, it made it seem like he was just that nigger to be able to navigate through.
And then she did it right away.
Well, to be fair, all she needed to do was following.
Right.
And she's a great sailor.
She's a great sailor, but it seemed like he had some expertise in doing it.
that was based on his experience.
I know she's a great sailor too.
And they lost like, what,
two or three ships that were following him?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And you could see the other ones fucking up.
Right, right, right, right, right.
So can, if we pivot,
because we'll get back to the end of the Battle of the Gullet,
but why don't we go to Raina and Sheep Steeler?
Because
Sheep Steeler,
I took one look at him and I was just like, yeah,
I don't know, no, I love sheepsteer.
What do you mean?
No, that's one, that's one more.
you can't really invite it to the park.
Sheep Steeler is the cause of everything that went wrong.
Yeah, I know.
I know that.
What the fuck you mean was wrong with Sheep's?
Sheepseller is the cause.
He's like a dog that's so ugly that he's cute.
I could make an argument that sheepstealer is responsible for Jason's death.
Yes.
Because Sheep Steeler came in and was persecuting the other dragons.
He wasn't really picking.
He was shooting out of everybody.
Yeah.
And so, like, they was getting out of the way of him and it was allowed to get got.
Right.
I will say I will always defend dogs.
Sheepstealer is the dog where y'all always like, don't worry.
He don't bite.
He don't bite.
And he's like, you like, a dog walk, and he's like, er, and I was like, come on, man.
You know what sheep stealers?
It's a pit bull.
I know everybody's out there.
No, no, we're not doing this with pit bulls.
We are not doing this with pit bulls.
Apologize people right now.
Apologize.
I'm not doing this to pit bulls.
No.
I know too many.
That's not.
I'm sure that you do.
Let's not do it.
Let's not damn a whole breed for what humans do to them.
I'm sure that you do.
That's crazy, man.
But Pit Bulls...
This is fucked up.
I'm telling you.
And you're the dog lover.
Yeah, you're the dog.
This is fucked up.
Those are the cops killed the next dog.
I never, that's...
Don't do that.
Wow.
That made me thinking dark thoughts.
Jesus, Louise.
I'm gonna be for real.
No, Pit Bulls is like
niggas from Glen Oaks.
You can meet the best
nigger from Glen Oaks.
Like, Glen Oaks in Louisiana.
You can meet the
cool as they. I just don't trust them.
You don't trust Pipples?
I don't trust.
I've met so many.
I don't trust.
I'm not dog racist.
I'm saying clearly.
You are dog racist.
Let's do the top five pit bull ahead.
Wait, would you, is it racist or breedest?
Breedest probably.
Breedest, you're breedest.
That's crazy.
Let's look at, oh, that's cute.
Top five pit bull songs.
Pipples are just love bugs.
Salat.
Let's do Pit bull news.
Pit bull.
All right.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Pit bull news.
I just went to
spin the narrative.
No, I'm not spinning a narrative.
I'm just saying,
I'm old enough to keep it real.
Pit bull news.
Officials reviewing how mountain rocky dog attacks a young person.
Pit bull.
Longtime partner.
Mall to death by Pit bull.
Partner of woman killed in dog attack.
Pit bulls.
Just saying.
And this is going on.
This is all I'm going to say.
You're saying a lot about pit bulls like this, right?
When the real evil breed, if we being 100% is them German Shepherds,
and that's all I'll say about that.
It is true.
Like, you don't have that smoke for, we never have that smoke for German Shepherds.
That's true.
That's true.
It is the German Shepherds.
They are fucking damn.
Okay, so the PR is nasty, though, because you go to the news on a pit bull, and it's like, nasty.
Yeah, bad PR.
The pit bulls all kinds of them.
German Shepard.
What we owe to the dogs we call family.
Hold on.
Two multi-million
settlements totaled $17 million have closed
a wrongful thing.
We are not a pit bull-a-dust.
No, I'm not doing this.
I've never said that I hated pit bulls.
We're not doing it.
Adorably sensitive German Shepherd's response
to new puppy is peak only child energy.
I love that.
This is crazy PR.
This is definitely.
Jerry Depperts have the craziest PR
for being honest.
I'm saying, look, to a pit bull community out there,
I know y'all love y'all pit bulls.
I see pit bulls playing with little girls
and all that stuff.
I'm just saying,
never know.
I will say to my brothers out there because, like, what about cousins when I was young?
He got a pit bull.
You got to stop naming him these names.
He's like, yo, his name's Blade.
I'm like, can you get him?
That's another thing.
You are so right.
Can you give him a better name?
Bro, you are so right, right, bro.
Like chopper or some shit like that.
Like you, like you, like you.
They're a cheeseburger or something fun.
But she's stealer.
She's stealer to me.
like was getting on my
fucking nerve so bad. First of all
she's, this girl got bruises
all over her face trying to fuck with sheepstealer.
She is imploring sheepstealer.
Right. She's imploring sheepstealer when they're on the ground
when they're in the air. She's like, sheep stealer
please listen to me. Sheepstiller
accepts her
as it's rider
but still
wants to run the show.
I mean, it's the first ride, right?
So you don't like, you have a bond, but it's not like
all the way tired.
there's time.
How many rides does it take for you to
for you to
bond with your with your rider, Jomi?
How many rides?
Three sometimes four?
Anyway.
Joe,
Joe, you can't placate that.
It's a yes-a.
I got a yes-and.
You can't Lies and back.
Hell yeah.
I'm trying to be a good podcaster.
But the sheep's other thing, the reason why
I'm not going to turn on sheepseeler
is because they have the first flight,
they go to that spot,
and then you go,
flies off. You're like, where'd he go? And he brings back
some sheep. And he's like, hey, man,
you hungry. We got, we got stuff we got to do, man. He brought back
the lamb swarmer. You know what I'm saying? Hey, here you go.
No salt, no pepper, no hot sauce, no nothing. However,
she was hungry. He was cooked.
He knew that. And he got us
food. You're not going to tell me that he's not the homie.
Now, what he did in the Battle of Gullet. Hey, that's what you're
and got. You know what I mean? He was burning all types of ships.
Yeah. Do we also blame
Raina for, like, being too desperate to just
flying a more or less untrained dragon
into a battle.
Yeah, you got to understand, like, that's not really for you.
This is literally your, what, second ride on a home?
Yeah.
You got to, you got to, you got to know.
But they were in trouble by the time she...
I get it, but...
Okay, but...
By the time she goes out, she's like, she's still, help them out.
Like, they're...
How'd that work out?
It didn't work out well.
It ended up getting fucked, right?
She still ended up, like, exacerbating the whole situation.
If we go to a larger context,
I think some of my issues with this show is like they have never been able to get
Chase, Baylor, Raina, that type of generation of character, right?
Where it's like they some CW teens on my Game of Thrones show.
Okay.
I can't take them seriously.
You speak in my language now.
I continuously bring this up and you guys continuously look at me as if this criticism
comes out of no place or that it is dumb or.
that I'm being the old nigger.
These decisions are putrid,
and I understand that this is coming from the book,
but this shit really blows me, man.
Like, I'm watching this shit,
watching these fucking kids fuck up in a battle
where lives are on the line, it's tough.
So what's the different story?
By the way, getting a dragon killed?
I don't know why.
For some reason, to me,
the dragons on these shows are like little puppies,
the doggies.
Except sheep's stealer.
Well, whatever.
That's a pit bull.
Sheepstiller.
Sheepstiller with love and time could be a good boy dragon.
So watching a dragon get killed in the show kind of fucks with me a little bit.
These are endangered animals.
This is like riding a panda.
It's like getting a panda killed.
You're like.
Charles.
Now you made it fucking worse.
Are you nuts?
I'm going to see that every time I watch the motherfucking show.
There's only so many.
So you're just like, to me, I'm like, it should be outlawed to rise a dragon.
What?
I don't want to think of them as pandas, bro.
They basically are.
They are.
They are, though.
I don't want to think of them as pandas.
How many dragons are at us?
There's only like seven.
Show's over.
Show's over.
I'm not looking at it anymore.
Because I just made him think of PAS.
Every time I see, I'm going to see them on the back of a panda.
Panda fucking eating it.
Why does the panda eat the bamboo and then fall over?
Love you.
Every little thing.
Like the panda, like people trying to come to say.
The panda doesn't know he's in danger.
Yeah.
The panda's like, what the fuck are y'all?
Why are you so invested in me having sex?
Yeah.
The panda's like, what the fuck y' y'all are having a great time?
But I can't look at him as people.
Pandas, bro.
I can't imagine.
What's it was Jason's dragon?
Imagine the phander in the water.
Oh, that was so sad.
Calm down.
You're on time out.
That's crazy.
Let's talk about it.
What's Jason's Betroth's name?
What's her?
Baylor.
Baylor.
Why do you think in the original Game of Thrones,
we were more able to accept the younger characters?
Like, which one?
Like, Jar.
All these characters were around the same age.
These were teenagers.
sometimes early 20s.
And in that show,
we were more able to accept them
in this world versus now.
I'll answer this.
I'll be quick because I know Jummy wants to jump in.
So for me, the Rob thing was
John was a loner.
Yeah.
So John was litigating a lot of questions
that were just about him, right?
He was on the Spider-Man Peter Parker journey.
Right.
Rob was a king.
So sometimes when I was,
when you're there's nobody there's no authority figure over rob that he's getting counsel he's not
being told what to do yeah so since he's getting counsel there are times where he was counseled this is so
fun i love this fucking shit like like there are times when he's getting counseled and he should
have gone with that counsel right but it's not as if he was rebuking someone directly that he had no
fucking business rebuking because he was the fucking king right so he was and that's the case with
lot of the kids in Game of Thrones in the first run, they were really turned loose.
Some of them weren't, right?
Like Rams, not Ramsey, with Joffrey, some of the other kids did pluckish, dumbass shit.
But most of the kids that we're talking about, at least early on, they were kind of turned
loose.
They were on their own journeys.
And because of that, they had their own agency.
So some people have the authority to fuck up like this.
Well, no.
What I'm saying is, it really bothers me.
And I'm consistent with this.
It really bothers me more in this situation
when you fucking up the rest of the Avengers.
When you're getting out of your lane as a fucking kid
when there's a bunch of other shit.
I know this is a part of the story
because kids do this in real life, right?
But like what I'm saying is,
that's when it really blows me.
Because here's the thing, Peter Parker in Civil War
wasn't fucking up.
He put numbers on the board.
Doing his fucking thing.
So even if he was a little plucky,
and he's like, hey, yo, I got rid of Bucky Falcon.
But when did it start to get on my nerves?
It started to get on my nerves.
Actually, in Homecoming, when he was being told not to do certain shit,
and he did it anyway, and guess who else it bothered?
Stark.
So why did it work with Ari and the Hound?
Well, it worked with Ari and the Hound just because I don't know.
That's lone wolf and cub.
Kind of a lone wolf and cub a little bit,
maybe more of like a kind of symbiotic relationship.
The stakes aren't that big.
But in this situation here, this guy,
this fucking kid is fucking out of his mind.
What the fuck you think you are?
You lock the queen in her room
with the help of the worst member
of the king's guard ever.
He has leapfrogged Jamie Lannister
who actually killed the king.
To me, this is terrible, right?
I can't really.
Killing the king is worst thing you do.
And then you go out there
and you fight when you not like that.
You not like that on the dragon.
So who else was supposed to go out there?
She could have gone because she's a better rider to him.
That's like full stop.
She can't go out there.
She can't be out there.
Brunierre can't be out there.
No, no, no.
strategically she cannot be out there.
You're a sexist ass niggas.
It's not sexism.
It's not sexism.
It is.
Brug, kings fight in these battles all of the time.
And if they die, their sons go.
Their sons go and like, I'm the king now.
Bruner's claim to the throne in terms of just Westrose is already shaky as hell.
She got some bastard kids that are like, you don't even got the fucking hair.
Like, her claim is so shaky.
She got to send out the utter dragons.
I understand it.
No, you don't.
I do.
When a king starts putting the armor on, when a queen, if this was a king,
y'all wouldn't be doing this.
If a king starts putting his armor on, I'm going to go out there.
Everybody loves that.
Everybody loves when that happened.
Didn't that happen in, what was the other shit that y'all be watching?
The Lord of the Rings?
Yeah.
Didn't Ergonne like the king of the elves?
What is he the king of?
He's definitely
Ergord?
King of men.
He's the king of men, right?
He's the king of men, right? He's the return of the king of men.
He's the king.
And what do he do?
Got busy for three movies.
Cutting up everybody.
The kings fight sometimes.
So let me ask you this.
When fucking John, what's the whole thing with Battle of the Bastards?
We're always like, John is a fucking idiot.
John, you are the commander of all these men.
Why are you running out here?
You are the most important person here.
Even if you're going to get busy,
send out the other people first, see how it goes.
Reneira, if it got super bad, then she could bring out the dragon.
Reneer, you got like what?
How many dragons does she have on her side at this point?
She has, what?
One, two, three, at least six.
I think we're arguing past each other.
I'm not arguing that it was a good decision.
I'm arguing that she gets the opportunity to make it
because she is their ruler.
No, I agree with that.
She has the right to do this.
So I'm not saying that it was tactically the right decision.
Like at the Trident, you know what happened at the Trident?
What's the name, Rhaegar?
Targaryen?
Oh, yeah, okay.
He died.
And after he died, hammering the chest.
After he died, they was like, man, we can't do this no more, bro.
It demoralized him.
Like, after he died, like, Baratting and hit him in the, he fall well.
But after he died, Baratting, hit him in the chest.
Jewels went everywhere
and everybody went
Oh my prince
And that was it
So I get it
It's a risk
He was a bad motherfucker
It was a risk
But in this situation
You can't
With your little ass
You ain't done shit
You ain't won no battles
I agree with this
You just got here
We could barely see
Your Adam's apple
You so young
You haven't done nothing
You and then
You're gonna bring
Other people
Into your dumb shit
Him asking Bella
I was like
Bella
Yeah
And then Bayla
And then Bayla
And then Bella
Bala looked
and she was caught up on the Timothy
Chalamay shit.
She didn't tell her no because she was like
She was love.
She's love.
Yeah, same team.
They won.
Again, this is like bad ball knowledge by you.
You win it if, let's say,
let's like one of the worst insults
you could give somebody.
Because I'm serious.
Imagine if like the Lakers are playing
somebody and somebody want to fight,
they want to fight Luca.
You're going to send Luke out there to go fight
or you're going to let yo,
yo, Jerry Vedibail.
That's not the question.
The question.
Like, who do you, you can't lose Luka, real?
The question is if Luca wants to go fight.
If Luka wants to go fight.
You're going to let him get suspended?
No, I might hold.
The whole dynasty crumbles.
Crumbles.
It does not work if she dies.
When we want it, after the finals, if he's like, man, I'm going out there.
I'm getting my leg with, people are like, no, no, you don't.
Now, I will say, I will say that you're like, do you're in Fox.
I will say that you do kind of have me in a figure-in-for-leg-lock with the sports
NBA analogy because there's really no way out of it because you don't want that, right?
But in this situation, like, Luca is the most important Laker, but he's not the king of the Lakers.
And so all I'm saying is to disrespect a ruler, the only reason why they did,
would have never done that to his dad.
No.
To disrespect a ruler by locking them in their chambers and getting the Queens Guard to be a party to it,
The reason, and then, then on top of that, so we don't even talk about this, it doesn't work.
So now what?
She locked in her fucking shit.
She gets her son's body back.
She didn't even get a chance as the ruler to make the decision whether or not to kill her son.
Because you can send your son out to fight.
And then you can at least live with the fact that your prince, you thought he was ready to fight.
You gave him the need and the fucking shit to fight.
All of that stuff.
He's, you ready.
You have, she didn't get a chance or any agency in the death of her son.
Everybody helped kill her son, including him.
So, gutting.
I don't know how it happens in the books.
I do agree with you that that storytelling decision to me made no sense.
Because everybody looks like some slap dicks.
Reneer being trapped in her bedroom was almost comical.
her like, get me the dress.
And her stab it at the dress and cutting it,
I was like, no, the whole thing from the first season of House of the Dragon,
the subtext, but the actual text of the show is this kingdom Westeros
would rather destroy itself than see a woman rule.
That's always going to be in the show.
Why does Reneira have to be trapped in her bedroom to make it possible?
It almost, it felt sitcom to me.
It didn't feel like.
A bit of a hat on hat.
Yeah.
And to Van's point, I'm like, it's more of a tragedy if she sends Jace out there to do it.
And then all of the men in the room, once Jace dies, look at her, be like, exactly, that's why we can't trust women.
Obviously, they're being biggest in the wrong.
But then it gives some type of tension versus you take the, you take the choice out of her hand.
Now everybody just looks like it is.
That scene, that's seen, and this is something that Game of Thrones is able to do better than anyone.
I actually talked to Joe a little bit about that
and it's the sound design on those scenes
Like in the red wedding
When Cat cuts the throat of the lady
It's very matter of fact
It's a huge thing that happens
Because cat's throat gets cut
But it's played quietly
He turns around
It puts you
When people
And I don't mean to trigger anyone
When people die on battle
builds, there are no trumpets.
No.
There aren't any, nobody's, there's no John
Williams score.
It's, there's, there's the sound of
the carnage and the water
and a figure that you never saw.
Yeah.
That's exactly how it happens.
Was chilling.
Like he gets hit.
I'm like, oh shit.
He gets hit again and then
he turns around and faces his death.
And then the character's gone.
Fucking well done.
Yeah.
But, like, hard to watch.
Oh, I laughed.
I was just like, I was like, hell no.
That's tough, man.
Why don't you laugh, man?
That's not funny, man.
Because if I'm going to be real, there was not one time on this show where he did anything where I'm like, damn, I feel for my boy Jace.
I'm like, no, he was annoying as hell.
He was plucky as hell.
I mean, if I'm going to be real, I am judging Renier a little bit.
Why are you judging Renierre?
A.
two of your sons dead now.
Right.
What is we doing?
So I imagine the reason why she wanted to go out there instead of him was so he could live, right?
But not that the executive decision was his to make.
Right.
But if somebody had to die in that situation, if you want to see Rainira upon the Iron Throne, it would be him rather than her.
Now, to your earlier point about like the sitcom nature of like her being locked in the room or,
whatever, like, I don't, I don't disagree, like, with that because it is a little silly.
It's like, hey, you're the, you're the, you're the queen's guard.
Guard your queen.
Okay, Prince.
Sure.
Why not, like, it is a little.
Why would, why would the queen's, the legal, the queen's guard listening to, I was just like,
what is happening?
She goes, open the door.
She goes, open this fucking door.
How the fuck you're not going to open the door?
Right.
It's the queen.
This is why the shit is fucked up.
By the way, this is a very important part of the narrative of the show.
because, in my opinion,
because she is the queen,
but they all kind of know that she's not, right?
And it's like...
Well, they act like she's not.
What I mean to say is that...
It's tense.
It's tense, and there is...
You can't be queen from Dragonstone.
Right.
You can be queen from one place,
which was another thing about Game of Thrones.
It was, the original Game of Thrones.
It was almost...
Stanis was the king.
Ridley was the king.
king.
Rob was the king. Everybody was the king.
Well, really the whole thing, but they were fighting to
actually be the king. They're calling
themselves king in lieu of
actually being the king. If you're
in Westeros and you have a king's guard,
unless there's this huge
rebellion and then Jamie does whatever
he does, like there are
direct penalties
and structures that have lasted for a long
time for you
usurping the authority of a
regent like that. In this
situation, they believe emotionally that she is the queen and they have a loyalty to her as such,
but the structure isn't there yet because they're not there yet, and that is how shit like
this happens.
Right.
But like, correct.
However, like, to my point, like, it is a little silly, but there's no chance in hell that
she would ever send Chase out there to fight because of what happened to Luceris.
Yeah, never.
She would never do that.
So the narrative has to like kind of like concoct a situation where she cannot make the decision and he just goes and flies off like on his own.
Because after losing a son in Dragon Battle, she would she would rather die than have that happen.
So you kind of need to fudge it to where.
But to Van's point on the original Game of Thrones, why I feel like it worked for DeNaris is that DeNaris is going through the same things that Reneer is, which is.
this is a misogynistic society.
They don't think that women can rule.
And how Danny gets her power isn't, it is the dragons.
But before that, it is her ability to get other people to her cause, whether it's freeing the
unsullied.
Like, she is step by step, you are like, by the end of that, you're like, oh, she can rule
because she's been the person this entire time who has been showing step by step by step
what it means to get people to rally behind your cause
Renewan hasn't really done that.
Not at all.
And the folly of, my bad, my bad.
No, you're good.
I mean, it could be twofold, though.
It could be that and it could be a reflection of that
misogynistic society to be like,
okay, well, we're only backing who we think we could win
and not really what we believe in.
See, here's a deal.
Interesting.
The folly of the Danny character to me
always has been the fact that she didn't realize
that she built her own kingdom.
Yeah.
That she actually didn't need the Iron Throne anymore.
What ended up happened was the Iron Throne became an obsession,
and it became an obsession that was oriented around the family line
and her belief in herself, not as Danny,
not as the breaker of chains, but as a Targaryen.
And she became a Targaryen at the end,
one of the bad Targaryens,
when she decided that no matter what, Kings Landing, Westeros, was hers,
and it was her right
and it was her family's right.
The friends she made along the way
was actually an entire kingdom.
She built a kingdom.
She had people.
She had an army.
She had a navy.
She had people that loved her.
She had people that would die for her.
People that she had freed.
She had a culture that she had become a part of
and a culture that she had
kind of ruled.
And she had done all of that.
She could have ruled somewhere else.
She could have built something better
than what they had in Kingsland.
It's something freer.
Something.
But, but,
her she
couldn't lose sight
of what and who she was which is a
Targaryen so if you are a Targaryen
you think this place belongs to me
this is mine it's been mine
ever since my ancestor took
three dragons burned everybody up
and made everybody into my subjects
this is mine in this situation right
here
we're not even
we Reneer doesn't even have
that I don't feel like people even feel
that she actually hasn't
really done anything for them
other than to put them at war, right?
The belief is all oriented around succession
and who should be next
and what is fair and what is not fair
and that's very difficult to be loyal to.
You have to completely get on somebody else's side
to be like, hey, you've been done wrong,
I'm gonna put my life on the line for it.
And so to me, when I saw this,
obviously I was like,
I was like, the Jay thing was terrible
and all of that, but it also told me
it was great storytelling from the
in my opinion
from the standpoint of this is what's wrong with her kingdom
what's wrong with her kingdom is
the things that you need to have a kingdom
don't exist there
like they don't exist there
and I'll say again
that is another to me commentary
on the fact that she's a woman
sure no of course
and the fact that she's a woman means
they respect her a little bit less than they would
if that would dammit no fucking
way they're locking Damon
in that room. No fucking way
because he's going to come out and kill everybody.
But no fucking way
they're doing that. They're not doing that.
But has the show? Because I don't know if
the show, the thing that I'm
constantly confused by is
is Reneira supposed to be a good ruler?
And what I mean by that is like
we see
Sonsa or
Rob or John
or all of these other people
we see the things that make them
great candidates for the throne
and then terrible candidates.
And you can kind of situate
I don't know over this
and now we're in the third season
over those first two but now
I'm like I don't even know what
Reniro wants to roll over
I don't know what are her feats
what are the things that she's done
that would make that's the thing
that would make people want to follow
but that's the thing she's operating purely
on the fact that this is her birthright
yeah it doesn't matter about what her
Like she deserves the opportunity to do so.
But is she wise?
Like, at what point in,
to this world it doesn't matter.
Is she a tactical genius?
Like, most of the time,
she's just making decisions where I'm just like,
you're just as bad.
And all of Kings Landing has operated on the fact that like they've had
benevolent kings.
They've had asshole kings.
Yeah.
She's never been,
and she's been denied the chance to be herself.
Right.
At every turn.
I mean,
everybody's depicted a lot worse in the books, frankly.
And Rainierra in the books,
supposed to be like a fat,
Jummy book check.
She's supposed to be like fat,
fat, angry,
like they,
the way they position her,
yes.
So does he what?
Fat, angry, sad.
You don't say that like that.
That's what they,
in the books.
That's the propaganda that's out there.
Yeah,
but you know,
you don't say that.
Wait,
so in the books,
is it situated?
Is this the propaganda
that the other side?
You say that Renera,
things would have been different,
Rennaro's on GLP ones?
Okay.
So,
yeah,
in the books,
it's like,
she's angry,
she's sad.
That's funny.
She is,
like,
she they just,
like,
position her as just,
like,
To your point, like only just obsessed with the throne,
just obsessed with being...
Why? What's her? What's her?
Because of... Because of...
I'm fired blood.
Because of Asrhus. What am I doing?
Vassar's like, hey, she should be king,
or she should be the next ruler,
doesn't happen, and then she becomes obsessed
to the point where her sons die.
She gets really sad, but it doesn't really matter.
It's all about sin on the throne.
That's what happens. That's what happens to a Targaryen
that's obsessed with Targaryenness and ruling.
It's a part of their bloodline
to subjugate
and be obsessed with being the ruler.
Exactly.
And so, like, yeah, that's like kind of
everybody's, I mean, it's everybody's downfall,
which makes me my second point,
which is like a bigger thing about the story,
which is like, you know,
we're having a lot of fun arguing about,
like, the dumb things
that these people are doing, whatever.
This story is about the fall,
not really like the fall of House Arcarian,
but the loss of the dragons.
The beginning of the end.
The beginning of the end.
Yeah, right?
in order to do that, you're going to have to do some dumb stuff.
You have like a, what, a 15-0 lead on dragons, right?
How could you mess that up?
This whole thing is dumb.
The whole thing is dumb.
You're right.
Because somebody got somebody's game right.
It's going to be.
This whole thing is dumb.
And like, there's a little bit like, you know, some writing stuff and whatever.
But like the decisions these characters make are all going to be stupid because when we're
when it's all said done, I don't know if this is a huge spoiler, but there's going to be no dragons left.
I mean, I'm sitting there like, how the hell did this happen?
So, no, I agree with you, but if we go to another HBO show that does this very well, Succession,
where it is like, succession goes out of its way to show you like, oh, no, the Roy kids are idiots,
but they each possess something that does make them equipped.
Like, you can tell, like, hey, yo, Kendall has no interpersonal skills, but when it comes to thinking about the business,
he knows more than his siblings.
You can tell that like, oh, what you're going to call it?
Roman Chiff?
Huh?
Roman.
Like Roman, you're just like, oh, Roman has that thing where when he's with, like, powerful
people, he can schmooze.
He knows how to, like, be there.
And I'm like, the thing that I'm missing in House of the Dragon is I'm like,
well, these kids are a lot younger than the Roi kids are.
But also.
The Roar kids are also in this situation.
What I will say about that, that's an interesting comparison.
They're a really interesting comparison.
but the Roy kids were, they do have jobs in the business.
So like they, they, like they are.
They run something.
They run something.
Like so they, like they, so they have been, um, I do love the comparison now.
I, I'm just wondering for Ro Nero, what, what, what is the thing that her father saw?
But, but.
Oh.
Well, you know what I mean?
This is what I, this is what I push back on slightly just for the comparison of succession is because
those qualities are good for leveling up to run a business.
this and it's something that 9 of the 7 kingdoms highlights so well
is that the only thing that really you need to be accessible to power
is for somebody above you to say you deserve this
and it doesn't matter what you how good of a person you are
it doesn't matter how qualified you are if you are born of a certain way
if you look a certain way if you have the right armor if you have the right things to say
that's all you need so then that's how much of air trying to buck that exactly well
he was trying to buck it
he was trying to book
okay so what did he see in Reniro
do we know that is there something special
inside of her that made him
or did he just think that it shouldn't skip her
because there's
an argument to be made about
qualification versus entitlement
you can be benevolent in this situation
by just saying hey you should not have to lose
your birthright because you are a woman
that doesn't make you specifically
guys please you know
all right
qualified
unless you know
yeah yeah
doesn't make you
specifically qualified
what is trying to
what is not
not all kings
and princes are qualified
most of them
as we see this story
you go to the story longer
yeah definitely not
most of them are not
but what I guess he was trying to say
is her being a woman
isn't a demerit
that makes her
inherently unqualified
to rule and I'm gonna
buck that I'm going to buck that
I'm going to buck
the idea that because she is
a lady, that I have to wait
for somebody else. Also,
there is the situation of her
parentage and how the queen
might feel about his
queen and about like
that. Now you have a new family
and that family is more
oriented around the lines of politics
and stuff like that, who you had to marry
to have the heir. I don't want to do all of that.
I loved this woman.
This is our progeny. I want
that love to rule even more than I
want this person to rule.
And I don't want the kids of the lady that I had to marry, like, after everybody had
passed away.
That's not how I feel about that.
That's not the thing.
But none of this stuff is earned.
Like, none of this stuff, the succession story is about kids who are actually in the business
and they can't earn it.
Like, the real thing that happened in all of this is there was a weak king.
And if there was a weak king and he should have stuck to his guns, but he couldn't.
He couldn't stick to his guns.
And so a weak king ended up being the thing that ejected so much dysfunctioning to this entire deal.
Because if you're going to have a monarchy, it demands strong kings.
The French Revolution, in part, happened because they had a kid on the throne.
You know what I mean?
I don't know how we got to the French Revolution.
We were talking about this earlier because obviously this is the flagship Game of Thrones property right now.
and for HBO, this is something that they're obviously betting a lot on.
But it's interesting this third season coming out in a post Night of the Seven Kingdoms World
because I was like, oh, there is a mark, there is a difference when you are basing something off of
something that George R. Martin wrote versus having to fill in a lot of the gaps.
And I could feel it in this episode where I was just like, oh, the characters aren't as strong.
like the dial
and everything there's just it's not as
I mean I might now
do that on this episode in particular
because this is a very like
front loaded plot heavy
not necessarily acting light
but it's it's certainly acting lesser
than say the prior episodes
I think that
if I were to judge it based on that
I would probably have to wait for like a more
I guess dialogue heavy episode
if that makes sense
because I don't think that like
This is an episode that proves to me that they're kind of like losing the ball when it comes to character development.
Is that what I'm saying?
I don't think they've ever had the ball on character development in House of the Dragon.
I think it's been a very spotty.
I think it's been, I think the big characters get it.
Like, Renera, the Damans, the Alicence, when it comes to that, to the lower ones, the Jases, the Baylas, the Rainas, that's where I'm like, oh, I can see what happens when there's not as much text.
Yeah.
When you have to almost create characters.
Yeah, but I would say that some of those fabrications and liberties that this show is taken were kind of genius sometimes.
Like they're meeting in the Sept in season two.
A lot of stuff that really works.
Yeah, a lot of stuff that really works that weren't in the books.
And yes, there's still like conjecture and things because it's like an, you know, unreliable narrator type of situation.
It's one book.
Yeah, it's one book.
And it's not written by the people that are in it.
But he's right.
There's like less adventures.
Yeah.
and like all
it's less adventures
all the all the adventures
like all the adventures uh
like matter in building characters
especially for TV.
Yeah.
It's it's less adventures.
But I do think that the writers have done
I actually tend to agree with Steve
based upon the source material.
I think you're both right.
Not that it matters.
There is a level of
because to your point like the jases,
the balas, the reynas,
like those second level characters.
There's just like maybe like a paragraph about like, oh, they do this.
And then it's just like, Jace did this, Jace did that.
Jace went here.
Jace died.
Yeah, that's it.
That's it.
And then, but in fucking the other books, man, these niggas then gone off.
And like, had holes.
You know what I'm saying?
They didn't become wizards and they didn't become assassins.
And like all the kids have a lot more.
It was totally this.
Dense high fantasy.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
There's actual like characterization to pull
from the books.
And so, like,
I'm sure you're talking about,
like,
Nine of Seven Kingdoms
and Game of Thrones
at the same time,
but, like,
you can,
you can take Aria's story
and do the whole thing.
Sonsa,
John, Rob,
the whole thing,
even for Dunkin A,
right?
I'm sure,
like,
and it's only the first novella,
but there's so much
about those people
in that novella
that you know what Dunk
should sound like.
You know what Dunk should look like.
You know what Dunk should feel like
on screen,
same with Egg.
for these characters, brother.
Does it take you out of it?
What I noticed more is I'm like
when it's a character,
like a Damon or an Allison or a
Reneer, I'm in the show.
I'm loving the show.
When it dips to all the other
kind of ancillary characters,
I would be like.
It's probably like when somebody's on a beach
and then a woman shows up and they're like,
who are you? And she just says, I'm a witch.
And then the scene moves on.
I'm like, oh, okay, yeah, this is not...
I get it.
But, like, you can only spend so many places.
The way it happens where I'm like, oh, the dragon seeds,
like, they don't know what to do with those characters yet.
And, like, they're going to be important, but there is a...
I'm just like, oh, you guys are juggling so fucking much.
You got to keep them around, keep them on ice until you deploy.
Yeah, whereas with, like, Game of Thrones,
what it was really great at doing is, like,
they introduced a lot of characters,
but as someone who didn't read the books,
I didn't know who was important,
but the characterization was so great.
And they were so two-dimensional.
Until they ran out of book.
Exactly.
You know what I mean?
Like,
and,
you know,
so I get what you're saying,
though.
It's like,
no,
this wasn't a bad episode at all.
Oh,
this was a phenomenal episode.
There were just moments
in the episode where I was like,
which,
what were those moments?
Okay,
so this was a dragon seed,
we're putting a pin in the dragon seeds,
for sure.
They were barely in the episode.
Yeah.
That wasn't great.
I think the Jace Bailey,
Raina,
Dragon shit
was dumbest fuck.
It was annoying,
but it was thrilling,
though.
Like,
it was gutting
emotionally to watch
but that,
that was good TV,
no?
The battle,
no?
You don't think
the battle of the goals?
When the second season
ended and all of the book
readers were just like,
y'all don't know what's coming.
Y'all don't know what's coming.
Like the next episode
is gonna be blah, blah, blah.
I'll be honest,
the most thrilling parts of this episode
weren't actually like,
the battle to me.
Okay.
Which I, like,
I think says something about the show.
Like, it wasn't, like,
them flying over the ships or whatever was kind of like,
whatever.
That's never the,
those are,
to be honest with you,
those are never my favorite parts of Game of Thrones show.
It's like,
never,
like,
there's some really awesome battles,
but like,
you know,
that's nothing you can't get from,
like,
brave heart,
you know what I mean?
Like, there's,
I wanted to spin master and commander.
Like,
when we're talking about Battle of the Bastards.
It's a great battle.
But,
but why that works.
Stakes, though.
Is the stakes, we understand the stakes so much.
We understand why people are making the decisions, where it's like with Jace, for this battle
to work and for it to come off as this supreme tragedy, I have to understand Jace so
fundamentally well to really understand Renera Spain and all of this other stuff.
And it's kind of like, I don't.
Well, the reason why it resonated for me so much is because, number one, she's already lost
the son. So now
what you start to get
in this
show is the ultimate
question, which is like legitimately
what is she willing to sacrifice
for this? Because it's going
into the realm of it costing
you everything. Everything.
Like it's costing you
all the dragons. It's costing you
all your family. It's costing
it's costing you everything.
And what I do like that
the show is done is it's
raised the stakes of that incrementally
throughout the shows. At first
it was just going to cost a friendship.
That was the first thing. So Renair and
Allison's friendship. Oh, now they're enemies.
That's very sad. Then it was like,
I don't know, man. There are all of these
other unresolved things that exist
that are peripheral to
this central story that people already
have problems with. And
those things are going
to be kind of caught up
in all of this. And the cost
keeps rising.
Now you're getting to a point to where the other houses are affected.
Everything's being burnt up.
Everyone is in disrepair.
Nothing is going right.
Is this all worth it?
And the way that you can really get to the heart of that is through individual characters.
You bury two kids.
It had better been worth it.
And for her, in this situation, not only did she bury two kids, one of them died trying to, on her behalf, right?
Yeah.
One of them died defying her all from a situation that she created.
So before we wrap up, we didn't talk about this scene, but it was one of my favorite scenes from the episode.
And it's what I hope the show will start leaning into is like Sir Kristen Cole in that whole scene where he's basically like he's still in shock because he is a character now that is realizing.
what he has signed up for.
He's going too far.
Where he's just like, what does this world mean
when we have nukes dropping on our head?
What does it mean about like civility and knighthood
and everything that I understood about the society?
And I was like, okay, that's interesting
because that is what you think about war.
That is what the best war movies books are all about,
which is just like, to your point,
what are we actually fighting for
and what are we willing to sacrifice?
how many kids and women and men
have to burn to the ground
and what does it like what does it mean to be a night
and a perfect counter to that is
only if we abandon our principles
do we become those
those peace yeah yeah um
I thought it was I thought we're off to a bang up season
I hate pluck shit you guys know it
I hate fuck shit I hate pluck shit you know
saw the Starks
Starks were there
Stark show up at the
battle over
Hey, man, we had to come out away from the north.
You know, it's a long trip.
But they got one of the Lanister twins.
Yep.
I don't know which one that was.
It's Jason and the other one.
But they actually, they both died, actually.
Yeah, because one drowned.
One got his head cut off and they kicked the other one off the boat.
Do we know that he drowned?
I'm good.
I mean, nobody's no crime.
You got shot in the back, yeah?
No, no, no, no, no.
He just got kicked off the back.
Because she told him, she told him before.
Right.
That you're going to want to take your armor off.
Is that how much do you weigh in that?
Yeah, in case you fall in the drink.
But I don't, I'm assuming he died
I will, there's a chance that he like
ends up on a rock somewhere
that and he was able to figure it out
or something like that.
There's a chance because we saw,
do we see him,
we saw him drown,
but I don't know if we saw him drown
and then his body go limper.
Also, if a sea snake is alive,
I felt so bad when you look at his castle
and he's like, damn, she got my money.
She didn't get the money.
That's tough.
And his son stepped up.
Hey, Alan got busy.
Alan got busy.
Alan the man.
That's a wrap.
On Tuesday,
Budmash gives you their Star Fox.
What is a new Star Fox game?
Technically, no.
They just remade the first one.
Like, they keep doing.
On Friday,
the Midnight Boys and the House of Ar cover Supergirl.
Supergirl.
We have thoughts.
Excited.
Hope it's really fun.
Moro's Lobo.
I'm worried.
Oh, he's worried.
I'm worried.
A lot of Superman in them trailers.
Yeah.
Well, I mean,
they want to get the juice.
You can tell sometimes when a movie's coming out, when the hype's not there for it.
Because they start dropping the extra shit, they're like, yo, guys, remember.
Superman's in it.
Real quick.
Real quick.
This is a little quick bike.
What's more important that this movie is good or that this movie is financially successful?
That it's...
Would you...
Do you think that D.C. would count it at Supergirl.
Superman, different situation.
It has to be both, right?
But for Supergirl, which is a property that hasn't been as clearly established in film and TV as Superman, there's been shows.
It was actually a pretty decent show that came on not too long ago.
Murat Show.
Oh, yeah, yeah, the CW.
Yeah, yeah.
Mikai is a good show, right?
But for this, though, for this, would D.C. be happier, with James going to be happier with a movie that had a soft box office, but like everybody's like, this is like, this is for.
fucking great.
Like 97% on
Rod Tomatoes,
91%
this is great.
Or a movie
that
flexes the muscle
of the character
on screen,
but people are just like
okay on it
or don't like it.
I'm going to be
honest,
this movie has to be
financially successful
because where we
are at with
superhero media,
I don't think it's,
it's not enough
for people to just
love it
and for it to be good.
people kind of like the Mandalorian and Grogu,
and it kind of did what it needed to do,
and still the mark on that movie is going to be,
hey, it's the lowest, financially it's the lowest Star Wars movie,
and y'all got the breaks beat off you
by two kids making horror movies for a fraction of what it made to make this one.
I think with Supergirl,
James Gunn's original plan, to me from the outside looking in,
was we're going to actually run the MCU playbook
of we are going to take characters
that you guys think can't anchor movies
and we're going to build entire worlds around them.
And if you can't do it with Supergirl
and if the first Superman was like a success
but wasn't a roaring success,
I'm starting to wonder with the merger and everything,
do people still want these movies
and can we still make movies for
200, 250, 300 with these characters
when they are not Batman, Spider-Man,
the X-Men, the Avengers?
Superman came in at 618 box office worldwide,
which, you know, for another property,
would you be like, bending over backwards,
hitting back for us?
Yeah, rousing success.
For Superman, you know, you want to get,
you want to be closer to a billion dollars.
That's like a Batman-begins type number.
Batman begins and even make that.
But like, for Superman, you want to get a bigger number than it.
No, I think the movie has to be financially successful.
Because, I mean, we talk about what?
The ass was what was, you think that's more important than
that's more valuable.
Yeah, because, I mean, everybody loved.
Thunderbolts, but it made dirt at the box office.
And so, like, who knows when we'll see those characters again?
I guess we know eventually.
We're about to see him.
Because here's the thing.
I think being critically acclaimed is nice.
Being financially successful gets you more at bats.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm wondering with the whole DC thing where I'm like, how much longer are they going to
be like, it makes sense throwing this amount of-
They're saying it through to the end, Charles.
Wait, what?
They're saying it through to the end.
They've had these characters for 100 years.
Right.
They're saying it through to him.
They're letting him do whatever the fuck he wants to do to the end.
Every character, I know what you mean, but every single character here is, think of these
characters as not as actual creative.
Think of them as stocks.
Right, yeah.
You've held since like 1975.
The stocks go up.
The stocks go down.
But you have to invest in the only day that you can really cash out is box off.
Yeah.
He's like James Gunn is investing in the characters that are not.
He's trying to, basically, if we're being honest, D.C. is the universe of Batman.
Yeah.
They are going to make a Batman movie every five years.
Like, they honestly would probably want it to be even more than that.
Besides Batman, who are the bankable characters from D.C.?
I mean, forever it's been Superman.
Yeah.
I mean, forever.
A woman, probably.
Forever, forever it's been Superman.
Forever it's been Superman.
When's the last time a Superman movie was like capital S successful?
Well, I mean, capital S successful depends on what you mean.
Like, right?
The reason why I ask the question is if you looked at like the original Man of Steel movie,
let's see here, box office on this movie is in that,
because that's the reason why I asked a question.
And box office, why did it take me to
Zach's, Zach's not as Justice League?
Box office on that movie is, that's
670. So you're not wrong.
So, like, that's...
The singer, Superman didn't perform well.
No, it did not.
Batman versus Superman.
That's a massive hit. That was a huge hit.
That had Batman. But it got better.
But Justice League
didn't really do what it need to do. Superman.
Successful, but not.
So what I'm wondering is,
I'm like, besides Batman in the D.C. stable, who are the characters that you're going to keep throwing money at?
And that the audience really is just like, and I'm not talking about the nerds.
I'm talking about the general audience cares about.
I thought it was going to be Wonder Woman and it was not.
Well, you got to remember.
Batman v. Superman 874.
And first Wonder Woman made like a billion.
And what about the second Wonder Woman?
I mean, that was a cold woman.
So what I'm saying is, is that like, you know, Superman notwithstanding.
you have a point there.
These characters,
and also, you guys,
that was the time
during the superhero boom.
These characters are going to be
represented, not,
maybe not Aquaman,
these characters are going to be represented.
They're going to be represented.
They're going to be represented.
That's,
take the,
and I didn't want to spend too much time on this,
but we're in it now.
So just as you do.
So 874 on Batman versus Superman, right?
So that's a successful movie.
Oh, yeah.
However, the reputation of the movie
isn't Sterling.
So the question,
I was asking is, would you rather
have Supergirl come out and do
400,
right, 450
and be a really awesome movie
that everyone loved? Or
do A-74 and people go, they know,
we didn't like that. I don't do A-704.
Okay. I feel like in a post-Snyder
like, release the Snyder cut, like
toxic internet environment,
I think that they only value success
financially. I mean, like,
I don't know if that's true.
And you're asking me, I don't think they value.
I don't know if that's true.
I think they value the most is what I'm asking me personally, though, I am at a point
where I want this universe.
I'm talking about DC, Marvel, and Star Wars, the big ones, to prove to me that they have
something to say on the big screen.
Yeah.
That they can empower creators.
And it is like, because right now from all of the trailers I've seen a Supergirl,
they are not bad trailers.
But I'm like, this does seem like a movie that is stuck in the 2010s.
This does seem like James Gunn almost recreating what he helped popularize around the Guardians of the Galaxy era.
And I'm like, but I want to see something new.
I want to see that you guys can still like wow me in a theater.
And that doesn't mean what spectacle a lot of times.
That means what story.
I really hope that Clayface does that.
I really think that's the swing that they can make for a lower budget swing.
that could be it.
Hey, you guys are going to get
the Jimmy Olson
Gorilla Gras show.
I'm watching that bitch.
I think that's a,
you know,
you guys say what the first
you want to say
we're all jaded
and stuff like that.
I think that's a really
interesting way
to get more out of that.
Shut up, Charles.
All right.
