Come into the ring of verse.
This is, of course, the ring is Nexus podcast feed for all things fandom.
We are.
Oh, baby Chuck.
24-kiric closing.
It might be closing time for him.
Closing time for me.
Yeah, it might be closing time.
Jomey, the explainer.
A dinner on, you've got questions.
He's got answers.
And Steve,
Almond, Joy, the Cudley Summer Lover Bear.
Together, we are known as a Midnight, Boys.
Programming reminders.
Okay, this Friday, the House of R
will be giving you their deep dive
into the Miss Marvel season finale.
They got a lot to say about it.
You guys got to watch.
Now, I've been watching the bear.
Yeah.
Hey, cousin.
Yes, chef.
Yes, chef.
Did you finish it or no?
Behind.
Not yet.
Not behind.
Corner.
Not behind. Corner.
I've been watching the bear.
So I watch everything through the lens of the bear now.
I've got a bear-filled world.
Okay.
I wish we were talking about the bear today.
Shut up.
Next Wednesday, the Midnight Boys will return.
We don't know what we're going to do.
We might give you a midnight court.
We might give you a draft.
Okay.
We're not sure what it is that we're going to do.
We might give you a whole podcast that's a nerd topical
because there are a lot of different topics.
in nerd spaces that we could talk about.
If we're going to give them a topic,
what's a topic that each of you
will want to talk about?
I know what I want to talk about.
I need y'all to tap into RRR, RR, the movie on Netflix.
Come on.
I've seen about a third of that movie on TikTok,
and it's insane.
No, you guys got it.
It's one of the best action movies
I've ever seen.
I don't even know what that is.
It's on Netflix.
It is just, I can't explain it to you.
It is sublime.
It is,
remember the first time you watched
John Wick, you know?
First time you saw The Raid.
The Raid?
It's like that level for me.
I love RR.
R. Don't let the runtime get you down.
How long is it?
Three hours.
Oh, no, fuck all that.
No, three hours of beauty.
I can't.
Three hours of me.
What are you talking about you?
How many times have you rewatch end game?
Yeah.
But here's the thing about rewatching in game.
You sleep.
You get a chance to take a nap.
And then by the time you wake up,
back to me. Can you trust me? Can you trust me? Can you just watch a little?
Yeah, maybe in shifts, though. Maybe the next flight. Oh, I had to watch it in three days. It was an hour.
Yeah. Yeah. Today's show, we're going to take a look at the season finale of Miss Marvel. Very special.
And we're also going to take a look at the recent controversy surrounding Disney Marvel and VXF artists. This is, this couldn't be more of a joyous,
conversation for Chuck Wagon.
He manifested this.
I didn't manifest it.
Yes, you did.
I wouldn't be surprised if this entire thing
was the agenda of
Big Chuck.
Big Chuck? I don't know. I think he might be a Reddit
Warrior and he's orchestrating this whole thing.
Look, so you guys, I reached out.
So check this out real quick. Before you move on
to this Marvel, I reached out to
one of the guys that put this up.
This is kind of what happened.
So I reached out to one of the guys that was talking about
this on Twitter. I was like, yo, can you come on our podcast?
He goes, unfortunately, I can't do to other reasons,
but thanks anyway for asking.
I replied, your loss,
we pay our guests in kilos
of uncut cocaine.
No response.
It's just, no.
Wait, wait, hold on.
No response. You guys think I'm
bullshitting. Look.
No.
Like, no response. No.
Ha, ha, ha. Hey, it's funny.
Like, zero response.
So I thought that maybe I should go, hey, that was a joke.
But then I said, you know what?
Fuck it.
Let it ride.
You just see, it was just the weirdest.
Maybe he thinks that we actually do that.
So I'm like, let it right.
I'm not going to normally I would come in.
Hey, that was just playing around.
Ha, ha, no, no response.
You don't laugh at my shit.
Fuck it.
Wait, can also before we get into everything midnight manifests,
I have to bring something to the table.
Jomey.
What's up?
What's going on in Vegas?
You out here.
Oh, my God.
You're out here.
Your socials are crazy.
You have way too much fun.
Listen.
Listen, we had a good time in Los Vegas.
That's all I'm going to say.
That's all I'm legally allowed to say, all right?
However, I do want to shout out all the fans that came through.
Steve, not, see, you try to get me in trouble.
No, listen, it was a good time.
How many little Jommies are on the way?
Oh, please.
Nah, it wasn't even like that.
Can be honest with you, Jomey?
I'm going to be real with you, bro.
up. I'm starting to get sick of it, bro. You got too many secrets, though.
For real. You got a, you're building a wall. One time we're going to say where you do
Deep Shout Protocol and I just, and I'm just going to forget to edit it. Put the shit in the
podcast. You got too many secrets. The rest of us are sharing. We got fucking Maria
walking through the back of shots. Charles is sitting like all kinds of takes. You got me
talking about guys that I tried to sell cocaine to on. I'm trying to get to the content. I'm just trying to
Steve telling us how he's a sactivist in his free time.
How he's a sativist?
We're sharing with the audience, bro, Jomi, you're too secretive.
Are you the Nick Fury of the Midnight Boys?
We can't trust you.
Your secrets have secrets.
Yeah, he's stingy as hell with the secrets.
Listen, all, listen, at a great time, it was awesome.
Dude, I was out there for NBA Summer League covering hoops.
And I was getting approached by all types of Ringiverse fans out there in Vegas.
It was, dude, it was awesome.
Shout out to JD.
Shout out to Billy.
Shout out to Francis.
Shout out to everybody who came through
and said,
what's up.
We appreciate you guys.
It was so awesome.
Again,
thanks for listening.
But yeah,
man,
Vegas was cool.
You got the win.
He got so many hikis on your neck,
Jomey?
First of all,
that's not true.
I still got the wind brace it on.
Well,
I got to keep it on
for the recording
real ones tomorrow.
And I got to tell a story
about that.
So I got to keep that on.
All right.
Tell your secrets on real ones.
Let's get to the big,
I'm done with you.
Jomey, get the hell out of here.
All right, you guys, we're about
to talk about Ms. Marvel. You're here for that.
And we know that you are.
You know that you are. But we still have to
walk you through this. We got a baby you guys because that's
the internet culture today. Run spoiler warning.
We're getting ready to talk about
Miss Marvel. You're listening
to a reaction
podcast.
The spoilers are coming.
Of course,
We have to put you guys in the know
for Ms. Marvel's the season finale,
and there's only one way for us to do that.
We don't know shit.
The only person who knows it all is Chuck Wacken.
He's going to make you an expert on
Miss Marvel season finale with the Midnight Manifest.
Guys, this is the Midnight Manifest
for the last episode of Miss Marvel
Season 1, directed by Adela
and Willall teleplay by Will Dunn
and A.C. Radley and Matthew Chauncey,
story by Will Dunn.
We start. Kamala announces to her family
that she's nightlight, but her mom already spilled the beans.
During the chat, Nakia calls Kamala to tell her that the circle queue exploded.
Before Kamala goes to save the day, her mom gifts her with a new superhero suit.
Meanwhile, damage control is hunting down Kamran and Bruno.
They go to the mosque, but end up at the high school.
Kamala meets them there, calls Kareem, and Kareem says that he can get Kamran out of the states if he can get, if they can get him to the harbor.
Kamala, Bruno, Kamran, Nakia, Zoe, and Amir devives a home-alone-esque plan to distract damage control and buy enough time for Kamran to escape.
Eventually, Kamran learns that his mother and the rest of the clandestine died and freaks out.
Kamala saves a day and Kamran while embarrassing damage control.
Kamran makes it safely to Pakistan and in a flash forward, Kamala finally gets an idea for her superhero name after a very sweet and touching conversation with her father.
Bruno is preparing to go to Caltech but reveals that after studying Kamala's DNA that she might be a mutant.
And then in a stinger, Kamala's Bengal transports her somewhere else.
and in her place is a very confused Carol Danvers,
and that is your last midnight manifest for Miss Marvel.
Instant reactions wagon, go.
Before I start, the instant reactions,
I want to come to you as a brother,
someone I know Van is very eloquent
when it comes to talking about race and culture
before I give my instant reaction,
because I've been thinking about this for a while,
and it connects to Miss Marvel.
I feel like I've been struggling lately
to be honest about some of my feelings about the Marvel Fair
because I get the power of representation in a vacuum.
I get the power of seeing somebody like you on screen
and what it can mean to a people.
And that's why, like, I love what they're doing
with a show like Miss Marvel or what they're doing with movies like Shang Chi.
But do you ever feel like it's hard to be honest about these shows
because you don't want to go against the culture
and you don't want to reign on people's parade
because they're seeing things on screen
that they've never gotten the chance to see.
But also that other feeling of like,
sometimes you're held hostage by the representation
where it's like, I don't want to agree
with all of the racists out there.
I don't want to like, you know,
I don't want to ruin the party,
but I'm struggling.
I've been struggling for a while
to kind of get my thoughts in order.
So,
14 minutes in
Charles basically tells us
he's sick of the woke bullshit.
I'm not sick of the woke bullshit.
I'm just joking.
All right, so look,
this is why it was important for me
to be honest about my
opinion about Black Panther.
Now, so
I'm glad you brought this up
before we get into Miss Marvel.
So I liked Black Panther
as a movie.
Didn't love it.
Didn't love it.
Just didn't love it.
and I think that a lot of people probably didn't love it.
But let me tell you where the other part of the love comes into,
because it doesn't just happen in comic book movies.
This happens in movies like all the time, right?
To where you see things that you know that relate to you,
that resonate with you on the screen,
and you can't help but to be drawn into them.
You can't help but to be like, hey, I see me, I see us.
I understand that joke.
I get that reference.
I'm enthralled by seeing it,
it's the best thing I ever saw. It happens.
It doesn't just happen to
people that are
minorities in America
or the people that would continue to be
diverse in America.
It happens to everyone. And it's important
that people are able to see the content
and see themselves
represented with the content. And it's important
that they get to have that bias.
It's important that people get to say
this is the best thing ever because it
represents who I am. This is the best thing ever because it represents where I'm from.
This is the best thing ever because it represents an understanding of my culture that people
haven't had. I think for us sometimes when we're looking at other stuff, the reason why I first
loved Seinfeld was because it was just pure laughs. And I knew that it was funny because
I didn't even get what they were talking about. But the only language I understood it in was
the language of laughter.
I got, it was just funny, so I laughed.
And so to me, it had to be really fucking funny.
So to your point,
I think it's okay to acknowledge that,
but it's also okay to say that,
yo, there are certain things that we look for in the content,
and if it's not there, then it's not there.
And I think what we have to do is,
I heard the guys over on another podcast say something,
It's not, it wasn't a neuroculture podcast.
It was a political podcast.
And they said that when we're talking about the Democrats,
we have to be, they have to be specific in their messaging,
but we have to be specific in our criticism.
So I think it helps sometimes to talk about these shows.
And I just cast a wide net over whether or not they're trash or mid or whatever funny
words that we want to use to say we didn't.
like something or didn't connect to it, and talk about specifically what it is that we didn't get.
Because I'm going to be honest with you, I'm not the biggest fan of Miss Marvel.
I'll just say it right now.
This episode, I'll start with the instant reactions as I get hyper verbose as I tend to do.
I did not enjoy this last episode of, I did not enjoy this series that much.
It was okay.
This episode was a good episode of television.
The series was okay.
The things that I did enjoy about the series, though, was all of the,
cultural stuff.
Learning about her life,
learning about what was going on in Jersey,
seeing her family.
I love her father.
I think it's an amazing,
one of the best portrayals of fatherhood
for the time that he got on television
that I've seen in recent years.
But overall, the fare that I come to,
the comic book fair,
I didn't, it wasn't for me overall.
It wasn't whack.
It was just okay.
Moon Night was just okay.
That that have to do with the fact
that Moon Night was set in a different part of the world
that traditionally doesn't get superheroes?
No.
Not to me.
So I think that what we're going to do here on the Midnight Boys,
and it's very important that we say this,
is I don't know if people thought this about us before,
but we're going to stop fucking around.
I'm being serious.
Like, we're going to stop fucking around.
Like, we like different things.
We're into different things.
But in my opinion, a lot of this stuff is being rushed
and thrown together.
And it doesn't do a great service to the comic book characters that are out there.
I think that a lot of the source material for some of these new heroes isn't as strong as the other source material.
And because of that, more care needs to be taken of them when you put them on the screen because the failure of some of these characters and their stories is going to be used against the telling of diverse stories.
I think that Marvel needs to be concerned about that.
I think the fear that's always kind of impacting these conversation is like, you have to think
about it. It only benefits the company when we're like positive about this shit because what ends up
happening is if it doesn't get as many viewers as they want, enough time spent, enough money.
It's like, so you guys didn't want this. But what I think is actually happening because we're
not honest about what we want and we're not specific to your point, Van, is that like a white hero
can get thousands of movies. We've seen a thousand, one.
superhero movies. And if that shit is made
Morbius, like, we don't, it's
fine, you're going to get another. I think the fear
is sometimes we're afraid that we're not going to get
another Shang-Chi. We're not going to get another
Miss Marvel. We're not going to get another Black Panther.
And that's sometimes where we're like,
we have to be overtly
positive to show that we want to support
this. But if I'm giving my instant reaction
to this show, I did
not like this series as a whole.
I was really, really enthralled with the first
episode. And I mean,
I agree with Van where
the best parts of this show
were the slice of life stuff
with Kamala being a young Pakistani teenager
in Jersey City,
her dealing with her parents,
getting closer to her parents,
her family,
juggling her family with their friends,
with this community,
with the mosque.
All of that stuff was beautiful.
I think when it got bigger in scope,
when it got more superhero in scope,
that's where it fell off the rails.
And for this season finale,
I was so happy they were back in Jersey City,
but I felt like so many things were rushed.
I was like, when her family's like,
oh yeah, it's cool that you're just Miss Marvel.
I'm like, I wish I would have gotten to see her father
realized that she was nightlight.
Like I wanted that scene.
I wanted more scenes of like, whoa, whoa, slow down.
Show me more of her family.
Show me more of her friends.
And yeah, it was just not a bad series,
just something where I think that it had so much potential
and it didn't get there.
yo, Jomey, I need you to weigh in and give us a little bit more positivity, though.
I mean, if we're talking about just this episode alone, I had a lot of fun.
It was a return to form that I think we missed a lot in the last two episodes, and especially
in episode five, the, them coming together in the house and having the whole family there,
which is awesome, first of all, because as an Nigerian, right?
So when they come in, you see that they're like, oh, they're showing up clothes and they're handing out clothes that they got from Pakistan.
And the exact same thing happens when my parents come back from Nigeria.
They're like, oh, we got you clothes.
You made you clothes.
Here's this thing that we sold for you.
Here's this thing.
And I was like, ah, I love that.
Like, I understand exactly what's happening.
And like you guys said, seeing Kamala interact with their family, whether it's her mom, her brother, her dad.
all of that is the pinnacle of the show, right?
So for that to start there was just an excellent leading off point.
And the rest of the stuff in the episode I enjoyed,
we'll talk about it later.
But I was really, really happy that the show got back to what works in the finale,
to at least for now and on a high note.
For sure, I agree with you, Jomey.
I think that maybe the past two episodes or so,
I'd say maybe just the last, the second to last episode was a bit of a major stumble.
It landed the plane for sure
But I think there were parts when I think the pilot kind of stepped out from the cockpit and started to just like you know
Hang out with the crew and then the big season finale light came on and then he's like okay let me lay in the plane real quick
I think that was kind of the mood that I got from the rest of the
The series as a whole because again the strengths of this are really good those first two episodes I was enamored with this show and I think that
the biggest stumbling blocks came in in the middle of it.
And, you know, as much as we can say about the finale, it did deliver.
And I was happy that it did.
It did deliver?
Okay, hold on for a second.
Let me rescue this podcast because we sound like we're at a fucking funeral right now.
So, we're going to be honest.
We have our like serious assholes.
We like trying to be really respectful.
No, no, no.
We maybe should have saved Charles' preamble from maybe the end.
I just brought it down a little bit.
I know, because here's like, yes, but also I can read the comments right now.
They're like, Charles hates women.
He hates Pakistan.
He hates Muslims because he didn't like Ms. Marble.
I'm like, guys, I'm trying to be like, guys, I'm trying to be respectful.
I mean, let's look.
Well, let me ask you a question.
How many Muslim Pakistani friends do you have?
So the reality is they might have a point.
You treat me like Steve.
You treat me like Steve.
you. I don't know. Steve, Steve, Steve, Steve Bannon.
Steve Bannon, Chuck Wack.
Oh, right.
You know, how come I have to hit you with the Steve Bannon yet?
I don't know. I don't know. I don't know why you don't call me the insurrectionist bear.
I don't know.
Why would you say that?
Why would you give yourself that?
Steve.
What the fuck is going on?
Steve.
I'm just going to the world and I miss that.
The insurrectionist bear?
Wow.
I can even see you as a bear at the insurrection.
Jesus Christ
God.
I didn't do anything for you, man.
God, guns, and country.
That's Steve.
Wait, can I also,
man, I want to ask you this.
Also, to be fair,
to Miss Marbles,
season finale,
I don't know about y'all.
I turned this on,
and I was still feeling
like secondhand exhaustion
from Thor, Love, and Thunder.
And, like, I was just like,
all right, man.
I just got to tap.
I was like,
I got to tap in for an hour,
but when I was looking,
I'd been joking about it on Twitter,
when I realized
I wasn't going to have to watch
any MCU for a month.
month, I was overjoyed.
I'm like, I just need a break.
We're going to talk about that later on.
You know.
Yeah.
But let's talk about that.
Let's talk about how the, this is an instant reaction.
But in a way, it's not.
And it's not fair to Miss Marvel.
Okay.
It's not fair to Miss Marvel.
Put it to you like this.
What we're seeing on Twitter right now is Marvel.
Really.
Let's be honest.
reeling. A lot of you guys are going to downplay this.
A lot of you guys are going to say that we're making too much of a big deal about it,
but Marvel is reeling right now.
This finale could not have come out at a worse time for the show.
Because right now,
there's not a tremendous amount of excitement around Marvel and NMCEU properties.
That has to be taken into consideration.
When you're looking at this finale, I watched the finale.
It was fine.
It was good.
I thought it was cool.
There are a couple of things about the finale that I'll say that I'm sick of seeing.
I'm sick of seeing plucky, plucky teenage kids, fucking outdued government agencies with high-tech shit.
I mean, let's just call it what it is, home alone shit.
That's not even like that whole dynamic, I'm sick of that.
Like, it was cool when Ned hacked into Stark Tech and all of that stuff.
I'm just sick.
I know 15, 16.
year old kids.
No,
nigga.
You know what I mean?
I know them.
They're really good on TikTok.
They're really good on TikTok.
I know these are smart kids.
Kids are going to MIT and shit like that.
These are the best of the best.
They're really good on TikTok.
But let's be honest, man.
The shit that they're doing to get into MIT,
you know, they build it little,
I don't know, they're building little programs and shit.
They're not, like to me,
I don't know.
You know?
Oh, I mean, when they were throwing softballs at the government agents,
I'm like, come on.
Like, what are we doing?
Like, what are we doing here right now?
Damage control is out of sorts.
They've got to be absolutely sick that they...
Yeah.
But look, she came into her own this time.
I liked Cameron's character a lot.
And I thought we got a lot of resolution to his character in this episode.
And I enjoyed watching her triumph.
I, more than anything, I love...
love that character.
I love Kamala Khan.
She is brave.
She is cute.
She is strong.
She is an easy character to root for.
An absolutely easy character to root for.
I'm looking forward to rooting for her in the future of Marvel.
But overall, this show, there were things that were off.
I'm old, man, I'm 42 years old.
Maybe it's just too young for me.
I don't know.
I highly doubt the TikTok teens is like, you know,
hitting right now, Miss Marvel.
But I will say, too, I love
this character, and there were so many
scenes in this where I was just like, oh, that should
have been the penultimate episode. I want to
see her mom getting inspiration
for the costume and realizing that
she needs to make this
superhero costume for her daughter. That's beautiful.
I want to see her dad
coming to grips with the fact that, like, he's
not raising, like, a young girl anymore.
She's like a woman in the world that's going to
save people. I want to see her
in Nakia. Like, Nakia is like
was such an interesting character,
and they gave her like five seconds to be like,
yeah,
I don't fuck with superheroes,
but I love you.
And I'm like,
no,
this is interesting.
I want that scene to breathe.
There was so much in this episode
where I was like,
it was the classic Disney plus MCU problem
where I'm like,
you guys have so many things that are beautiful
and you're cramming it into the last hour of this.
Y'all some haters for real,
bro.
No,
I'm just playing.
There is,
I agree with,
I agree with the sum of the stuff you're saying.
I'm not mad at the,
at the home alone stuff.
I thought that was kind of fun like them.
You know, they're all wearing like the same outfit,
trying to outsmart the Dems Co agents.
We should have been there in the first place, mind you.
But I don't, that does not ruin the thing for me.
But to Charles's point, like, I kind of wish like this episode was like maybe the last two episodes.
You know, we got a lot more time to be with New Jersey City.
You know, we mentioned it, I think,
the last time we went to the spot, but like the people in Jersey City, that whole thing just
feels, it just feels different.
Like when they went to Pakistan, it was just a different energy to the show that, like,
while I didn't like totally mind it in episode four, it fell flat in episode five.
And I just, yeah, I just wish we had more of it.
And if this episode was maybe like the last two episodes or something like that,
I think we're having a different conversation about how we feel about this show.
Can I do my first quarter flip?
Quarter flip, go ahead.
My first quarter flip.
No damn sense.
I don't know what
Muniva did in a previous life.
I don't know if she was on Project Runway.
But my Black brothers are going outside
because they had fucking Sam
looking like a Power Ranger
and fucking in the Winter Soldier.
And the suit that Muniva
makes for her daughter, I'm just like,
this is a really good superhero.
He's an incredible suit.
Like what is happening?
The suit looked at me.
Her mom did a better job than the Wakandas because they did that on purpose.
The suit, the suit, the suit looked amazing.
And every time I saw it in the suit, you know what I said to myself?
Now there's a superhero.
Yeah.
Like I looked at, I'm like, now there's a superhero.
It's one of the better superhero suits that I've seen from a debut character in a while.
Like, there's a superhero.
She looked like a superhero.
Not only did she look like a superhero, but I have to like.
Cabala, you've got to do a better job with the mask.
Like, she was taking off that mask.
Everybody's like, oh, Kamala, it's you.
And I'm like, yo, Kamala, you have not been to superhero for five seconds.
And half of Jersey City knows your, knows your secret identity.
We got to work on.
Yeah.
She probably will.
I mean, we've all got, let's be honest.
We've all gotten tired of secret identity situation.
We know it's you.
You know, she wants people to know us her.
That mask isn't hiding much.
Yeah, we know, we know issue.
Jambi, what did you think of the suit?
I thought it was awesome.
Like, you know, you know,
You said it looked picture perfect, almost like it just popped off a comic book.
And what are the better suits we've seen in Disney Plus?
I know we talked about Falcon and how disgusting his suit was.
But even like Moon Nights had like certain like, like, you know, like CGI-ness to it.
We're like, is it real?
Da-da-da-da-da.
Wait, out of what to it?
Trump?
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
You know?
But this one, it looked like it came straight off the printing press, which was.

Bruno and Comeron team up for escape.
It's very interesting that Bruno finally kind of gets his respect from Conron.
What did you guys think about this?
Yeah, going back to your point, it's rough out here for damage control.
How are you going to like?
Here's the thing.
watching Bruno and Comron.
I'm like, y'all really ain't hiding that well.
And I love how they're just like, where should we go?
Where should we go?
They're like, the mosque.
And I'm like, how is this boy going to Caltech?
And his first strategic thought of where to hide Comeron is at the mosque.
I'm like, dude, like, even when they get to the mosque, everybody's like, what are you guys doing here?
Book smart doesn't mean street smart, but man, it's a tough one.
It was a tough look.
It was like, Bruno was making a lot of decisions where I'm like strategically, you might need to
stay in the lab because like out in these streets,
you're not really doing much to protect anyone.
It was,
it was extremely silly. I mean,
damage goes on their tail the whole time. No matter where they went,
damage school found them. I mean, I don't know how, but I assume
because those guys couldn't play a game of hide and seek correctly.
You know what I mean? Like, it was just bad news bears for those boys.
But seeing them like, I don't know,
air quotes work together was kind of nice, you know,
because at the end of the last episode,
Kamron comes to Bruno's like,
hey, Brian, you're literally the only person
that I know I could trust out here.
And Bruno could have been like,
nah, I'm good, bro, I see how you be doing Kamala.
You can go dying the street.
I'm straight.
But to be like that kind of, you know, good human being
to be like, hey, you know,
we've had our differences, but I'm a rock with you
because I'm that nice guy.
And, you know, for Bruno to, you know,
be running around the streets with the,
Fugitive. That's pretty good for Bruno.
So shout out to him.
It was tough for Bruno later on when he
catches, when he catches
Cameron and Kamala
about the kiss.
It's Pac-watch. It was tough.
He got to get up out of there, bro.
Like at that point, like when you see that,
you know what I'm saying?
That's, that, listen, I'm not going to
say I'm speaking from experience.
But when you
see the girl of your dreams,
with another man
and you just got to be like, yeah, I lost.
Like, I lost.
Like, it's over.
Well, here's the deal.
So what does he have to do when you say he has to get away?
What do you mean he has to get away?
I mean, he's going to Caltech, right?
That means you don't come back to Jersey.
But the reality of guys, it's okay, right?
Because he shouldn't define his relationship with her
based upon his affection, right?
He should be able to, Joe, me, why would he run away?
Jomi, why would he leave it?
and want to get far away for her.
You are a little.
Jomey, why would he leave?
Wait a minute.
No, that's what y'all said.
Wait, wait, that's what y'all said.
Jolie, why would he want to get away from the situation?
Why would he not want to be like, why would he, he shouldn't, the fact that he likes her
and she's just, and he's just her friend, that shouldn't affect him at all.
Like, right?
Because we got to be woke about the situation.
The fact that he had to watch her literally about to kiss the next man.
What is that?
Why would he want to get away?
Exactly.
Shut the fuck out.
Now.
Marvellous performance, man.
Marvelous performance, man.
Right.
Okay.
They get to the school.
We talked about this a little bit.
Hyjinks at the school.
Charles is so...
It's great.
It's great.
It's great.
It's awesome.
It's awesome.
The one thing I will say, though,
I need the quarter-flips sound.
I need to, I need the,
quarter flips down.
Damn sense.
I really did good with that one.
I like that.
I really love how Zoe just
showed up out of nowhere.
Right?
She's just like, I was in the theater
doing my TikTok.
Zoe just an apparition.
She was gone for three episodes.
Oh.
And I was like, oh, what's going on?
Hey, Kamaulah, what's?
Year night, like, that's cool.
I'm here to help.
And I was like, where are lighting?
Did you just doing TikToks in the theater?
No, it's not just a period.
Did you just a period?
out of three thin air?
I was like, what?
It's not even just that Zoe showed up
when she's just like,
I know how I can help with the plan
and I'm like, please don't tell me
they're going to do this shit.
And she's like, I'm going to go live
on TikTok. I'm going to go live on IG
and get everybody in Jersey City
to come help us. And I'm like,
if we don't stop this Powerpuff girl's ass shit,
bro. Like, come on.
Wait, but going on for Starlight
worked in the boys and she went live
a couple of times. Like, what's the difference?
She went live.
That's what she does.
Because literally then we end the episode,
which this happens.
This is just not a Miss Marvel problem.
This is every single teen show where it's just like they do a super montage of social media.
And they're just like, yo, I'm here live with nightlight.
Oh my gosh.
Did y'all see what happened at the high school?
And I'm like, yo, did this video do you have you watched a TikTok video before?
Parents are torturing their kids saying, yo, we got to go fight at Target.
Nobody's showing up.
Hey, hey.
Oh, God.
Y'all are fucked up.
Doing all of this shit to your kids, man.
Yo, on God.
Yo, man.
Pouring water on your kids, putting their facing cake,
snatching pancakes from them,
taping this shit and put it, y'all, man, it's over, bro.
We polishing you in the brass on the Titanic.
The whole fucking thing is going down.
Like, bro, I'm other, bro.
I hate that fucking.
and let's go fight shit.
I hate that shit, man.
Touch the nerve.
Sorry, go ahead.
Y'all suck, man.
Y'all suck.
No, the kids aren't going to be okay.
Like, I've just, I've just,
y'all have inherited a dying planet
with multiple government factions
that are taking away all your rights.
And when you go home, your parents torture you
for online content.
So, yeah, this stuff.
So there was, the whole cast of the show
was involved in the final show.
showdown. Everybody.
Wait, but be real, Van. I need you to, like,
I need you to be old man, old man, van
about this. Can't help.
The whole, the whole hijing shit
was kind of why.
I tell you guys, I don't like that. I've
said this before, though. Like,
I like my superheroes with a little pluck.
I love her because she's, she's
plucky and she's so bright-eyed.
She's the only one.
I need plucky in danger.
And then you overcome.
Everybody got, first of all,
I'm going to be real with you, man.
Number one, this was one of the better
finalities that they've had.
I'm going to be honest with you.
It was better when it's compared.
But still, though, if I'm talking about things
that I didn't liking it,
I don't like the idea that you become a superhero
and you're about to go put your life.
What does it mean in the MCU to be a superhero?
Like, seriously, Stark die.
Romanov died.
Like, what does it mean in the MCU to be a superhero, right?
Does it, are there,
does that have any meaning anymore
with the way they're putting things out,
like, in the MCU?
because she goes to be a superhero and no one goes,
I mean, the father briefly touches on it,
but people who need to, no one was like,
hey, you're going to be putting your life on the line.
Yeah.
Like you might die doing this.
You know what I'm saying?
So like, to see everybody rally around,
I know the point of the shows that it takes a community to be heroic
and I still, it kind of didn't work for me.
That particular part kind of didn't work for me.
But here's the thing, too.
we've seen this scene
in another Marvel movie
the first Spider-Man
with Tom Holland
that shit is scary
when they show up
at the high school
like they're punching
fucking buses
you're like
will Peter survive
will like
if this villain
goes into the school
everyone's done
like
I wanted a little bit
more of that tension
where I'm just like
yo
I want to see
Miss Marvel
really be a superhero
and instead
we just kind of
got them like
doing some home alone pranks, which fine, cool.
What did you think of the final?
I definitely want to hit from the midboys on this too.
What did you guys think about the final confrontation with Conron?
What did you guys think?
I greatly enjoyed that, actually.
I think, given everything that we've seen from the past few episodes with him and his family
and his, like, it's that, like, it reminded me a little bit of Akira a little bit,
where, like, your friend also has these powers,
and they don't really know what to do with them
and all of this confusion about being a kid
and your responsibilities that you have with them.
When you have a friend or something that you rely on
to kind of help you through that,
even though it's very tumultuous and, like, you know, scary,
they can kind of set that path right.
Obviously, it ends up rather different in Akira.
But with this, like, she writes the ship.
And I think that that was really good.
And it speaks to how effective the finale was.
I think that was the thing that it needed to,
land home and Kamala did it. I enjoyed it as well.
The one thing that I thought that like set out to me was so Kamala here per,
you know, pun intended big thing is to go in big and, you know, she'll in the in the comic
books, you know, get big using her stretchy powers. Uh, they just said it in this episode
and she got big and I was like, oh, I see what you did there. Uh, I, I,
I don't really know how you got that, but it's still like, okay, we're just doing that.
All right, for sure.
I'm rocking with it.
You know what I'm saying?
At that point, I was like, I was already on the waves, but, you know, thinking about it for a second, I was like, how did we get too and big from there?
But, you know, not the worst thing, not the craziest thing.
How would we like the portrayal of her powers when she really got into her back, Charles?
The end of optimism.
I'm going to pass on this question.
No.
No.
No.
It is the middle of July.
is uh wait do you really guys do you really want me to be real
shit the fuck up and do the podcast
I'm about to kick you in the face
this is doing that last fight
come on come on the last fight looked bad
the last fight looked bad like we
we can admit it they're like
it was rough there were there was a lot of moments
where I kind of laughed at myself
Jomey's in Biggin point
like I got what they were trying to do
but when she tries
to embiggin herself.
I was just like,
wait,
what am I looking at
right now?
Like,
what is happening
on the screen
with,
like,
Comron's powers
when they go into
the little cocoon.
I'm like,
what is,
what is happening?
What am I watching?
What am I supposed to feel?
It doesn't look great.
It doesn't look great.
It's rough.
I get what they're doing,
but like,
it,
it looks rough.
It does.
It does.
Okay.
So let's,
so let's talk about progress then.
All right.
It looks rough.
how should it look?
Like what, tell me,
tell me how you guys feel like it should have come off.
Well, here's the thing.
And I think this ties in to the mutant problem of it all.
I felt nothing at the end of this episode
when Bruno reveals that she might be a mutant.
Because at this point,
these Disney Plus shows have been way too cute with that shit.
It's like they had the Wanda Vision moment with Quicks over.
They had the Matroport moment
in Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
At this point,
I just never want to hear
about the mutants
until I'm in the seat
watching the first
MCU X-Men movie
and bring that up
to be like,
what am I supposed to feel
about her powers?
Because you wait until
the last episode
to be like,
also, she might be a mutant.
Who knows?
We've gotten all of this shit
about the gin,
which was probably
the worst part
of this entire series.
So I don't even know
how this is supposed to look
because I have
no emotional
attachment to her powers.
I don't even understand them still.
Like, I don't get what her powers are.
Like, she's supposed to be this creative person.
We are told from the beginning of the show,
Kamala is so creative.
She thinks she daydreams of all of this wild shit.
That first episode,
with she's going past and the murals are changing,
some of the most just fun stuff
I've seen on screen all year.
And you're telling me, after six episodes,
the only thing that Kamala Khan can do with their powers
is make this little platforms that she can walk on
and barriers.
Really?
This is like this is, what?
She can also make herself big, Charles.
We just talked about it.
She can do different stuff.
She can do so much different stuff.
Both, though.
What are we doing?
Wow.
Wow.
the waggle the wagons.
She can't make a little baby small
to help them fly away.
She can't do, like, what are we doing here?
You know what we're going to do?
We're going to invent,
this is a thermometer.
That's how you know I had COVID not too long ago.
Like, we're going to invent,
I would like to give Charles his own clear-out segment
called Circle the Wagons.
Truck wagons, circle the wagons.
So what we're going to do is,
rather than fight against
Charles's negativity,
we're going to embrace it.
Wait, is it negativity?
Or am I just being real?
I'm not, it's not negativity.
You're being real.
I feel you.
But what I'm saying is some people would say it.
So what we're going to do is,
you know, I got your back.
Like, so some people, some people,
so what we're going to do is on the show
going forward when we do these shows,
we're just going to give Charles.
It's called Circle the Wagons
where you can just go.
Even if we love it, even if it's a 12 out of 12, I want to hear you in your shit.
You know what I'm saying?
Say wild shit, too.
Like, I like this show, but it was too many white people.
Like, you know what I mean?
I feel about most of us.
Like, say wild shit too.
Wait, all right, but like, let's be real, though.
Guys, when the mutant shit happens, I was about to be like, I'm done.
Like, I'm tapped out.
Like, y'all pushed the buddy.
It didn't mean very much to me.
I'd be lying if I said.
I mean, it's cool.
Like, it was a,
this is what I'd say.
I think that Marvel has,
I think the ship has sailed on that type of fan servicing.
It had absolutely zero weight.
Like, I'm sick of it.
Like, we've done more fan servicing.
Like, we put Reed Richards in the movie.
Like, we've done more than they've done in terms of that.
So there's nothing, that little tidbit is not going to,
going to work. Literally
a nigga Wolverine as
played by the dude from the bear
would have had to jump into the screen
and go, come on, Bub,
we need you at the mansion.
That day, like,
it would have to have been that level.
You know, Steve, but what were you saying?
Well, it just made me felt like, again,
this is that weird, like,
juxtaposition of coming off right after Love
and Thunder where we're kind of getting a little
worn down and we don't really know what
all of these, like, post credits,
and, you know, far-flung promises of the future
actually mean for us because we don't know
what ends up getting paid off for that.
We know that there's a mutant thing coming.
We know that there's Secret Wars coming.
There's all of these things that we're going to be likely promised,
but like things are so far out to the margins
that they're just kind of like winking and having fun with it
for us to not even really feel any investment at all.
So at this point, it's become more annoying than anything else.
Da-da-na-na-na-na-na-na-na.
Y'all ain't like that?
Come on.
Come on. I was thinking it all night.
Here's the thing, right?
And I understand what you guys are saying,
but I took a different thing away from this.
We're done with the inhumans.
That's cooked finito over out of here.
No, it's not.
No, no, no, no, no.
It's God's not.
They just had it in a human.
No, it's not.
They just had it in a human in Dr. Strange.
Then why not make Kamala a human?
Because they don't want to make her in human
because she's going to be too important,
but that will be in humans.
No, that's done.
That's for sure done.
Pack watch for the humans.
For sure done.
And that's great because the show was like top five
worst things I've ever seen in my entire life.
But that also bodes bad for my age as a shield agenda.
If they're going to kick the humans to the curb like that,
you know, she'll is looking, it's looking grim.
We might have to start putting flowers and putting dirt on the grave.
It's tough.
Man, Jomi, let that shit go.
I would never let it go.
Why would I let it go?
I gave seven years of my life to this thing.
Why would I just give it up?
Seven years.
I'm not going to lie, Jomey.
Sometimes you'd be talking about your life and like, I get really sad.
Like, like, we just like loss over some shit.
Like, Jomi's like,
Jomey in this episode literally said he devoted seven years of his life to Ais of the Shield.
And then he's like, yeah, you know, have you ever been like Bruno when you see the girl of your dreams with another man?
I'm like, Jomey.
Like, I watched A's as a Shield and I got no.
hos. I'm just like a lot of people, dog.
What do you want?
Jomey, I was defending you, but fuck
if you didn't just make Charles this point.
It's getting harder to defend you, Joe.
Yeah, I don't know if you're out for me, though.
You know, you're the thing.
Y'all say I'm too secretive.
Look at me. I'll be the honest. It's a problem. Come on,
that. Yeah. This is why I have, like, faith
in Jomey because you know it's a slutty boy summer.
With Jomey out here, like, posting photos of the dinner,
he can make you on Twitter.
We know the truth about Jomey.
We know that Jomey,
see, that's the difference between us and everybody else.
We know what Jomey does.
For real.
We know what Jomey does in the streets of us.
We know what Jomey does.
You know what I mean?
You know what I mean? Like, we know what Jomey does.
Like, we know what Joe.
And eventually that whole thing changed around anyway
because you was just trying to,
you invited a girl over to Wage.
You know what?
We can have a whole conversation about Jomi's profile
in terms of the way Jomey does his thing.
Jomey acts like he's super unassuming,
but he's like a killer, low-key.
Like, he's a killer.
This whole raison d'etra.
What's the act?
It's a act.
No, no, stop being cute about it because I'm getting mad.
You acting like your boys are idiots.
Like, we don't see J.
We're not stupid.
We know who you're, but Jomey, we know.
We know.
I don't know, man.
I don't know, man.
Let's talk more about what Kamala being the first mutant,
to be honest,
and the history of the MCU actually means.
Steve's point is a good point,
but the reality of the situation is we don't know what's happening.
what does the revelation
that Kamala Khan is a mutant mean for the
MCU beyond the end of the
inhumans? So I
think the thing that they didn't call her
a mutant, Bruno says that he saw
a mutation. So
it's not confirmed that she's a mutant. She still
might be an inhuman. I don't know.
I just think that this was
a very... Like the X-Men theme, though.
Yeah, the X-Men theme
is that old nail, that's a nail on the copy.
True, you guys are right. You guys are right. So she's a mutant.
I guess the thing, so
Actually, just cut that out of the pod.
I'll restart.
Honestly, the thing that's confusing about making Kamala a mutant for me is twofold.
First, what does this mean for her powers?
Are her powers gin-based, and she can use them because she's a mutant,
which that would make our first mutant power very, very hyper-specific,
where it's just like your mutant power is you can control gin powers.
Like, I don't know what to do with that.
my second thing is,
if there are mutants in the MCU now,
when is this set?
Because did you guys see in the beginning of this
that there wasn't any
Captain America shield on the Statue of Liberty?
Yeah, yeah.
Very true.
Well, this still could have been post
No Way Home where that fell.
Okay, so it's either post when it fell
or it's before.
So does that mean mutants are popping up?
Because we know from mutants
that you get your mutant gene
from
it's activated
when you're a teenager
but you get it from birth.
Well,
they could just as easily
change that logic then.
If they change it,
I'm done.
I'm done.
Why?
Well,
they would have,
I mean,
what do you talk about?
What difference is that made?
Yeah,
like,
why?
Because it's just,
they've changed so much already.
I'm just like,
just make them.
Well, it's the thing, though,
it's all very nebulous.
Like,
yeah,
it's like,
it's like she's,
number one,
how old is,
she's 17, right?
So that would mean that there's,
she's not out of her adolescence yet.
Like, I mean, there still could be things that, you know what I mean, that pop up?
I mean, typically, you're a mutant, it comes a little earlier, but what difference does that make?
Because here's the thing.
They need to explain these rules very quickly because it can get very confusing because if she's had her mutant Jean since birth, that means there's been mutants in the MCUs for 17 years.
So that means there was mutants this whole time.
So either she got her mutant gene somewhere around the No Way Home timeline or,
there have been 17 years of mutants.
And the reason I think that is because Namor is probably going to be, quote, unquote, the first mutant, and he's coming in Black Panther.
Right.
So my thing is this, it's like, when I said the first mutant in the MCU, I didn't mean the first mutant ever.
I meant the first mutant we've seen in MCU.
And I guess for me, there's going to have to, we already know there's going to have to be some explanation.
As fans, let's do this.
As fans, let's understand the actual moving parts.
that exist in making these films and this content.
And let's give a tabit of grace.
And let me tell you what I mean by that.
We know that there's no good reason
why there haven't been any mutants.
Like, we know that.
Like, we know why they're mutants in the MCU now.
It has nothing to do with any story.
It has to do with the fact that Disney Baugh-Fox.
That's why they're amused in the MCU yet.
So do they have to have, come?
up with a clever
explanation as to why they're mutants in MCU?
Yes. Yes.
Of course they do. Of course they do.
But we also have to be a little bit forgiving
in the fact that we want mutants in the MCU
so whatever reason they give us is not going to make
very much sense. And secondly,
you know, we talk about Thor and Love and Thunder. You know what the stupidest part
of Thor and Love and Thunder is?
The stupidest part is actually the fact that
they didn't just go to eternity
and ask eternity to wish all the people
back that Thanos snapped away.
If Stormbreaker can take you straight to it,
if Stormbreaker can take you straight to eternity
and then you can get to eternity and you can make a wish,
why would you invent a time machine
that could take you back in time and get all of the stones
and do all of that when you can take Stormbreaker,
teleport to the bifrost, and just wish on eternity
and wish everybody back.
So what I'm saying is, so what I'm saying is,
No, my pause isn't because you're wrong.
Your pause is making me be like,
is Thorloff and Thunderworth?
So what I'm saying is,
if we start like dissecting things at that level,
you know what I'm seeing?
If we start,
then a lot of this shit is going to really,
it's going to fall flat.
Because I'm leaving the theater and I'm thinking,
huh,
is there any limits to the wish that you can ask for eternity?
If Eternity was going to kill all the gods,
then eternity can certainly bring back
all the people that Thanos snapped away.
I mean, and we're going that far.
Thanos could have literally taken Stormbreaker.
It just gone to eternity.
Had his wish.
He could have had two wishes.
He could have the Infinity's own wish and another wish.
Yeah.
He could have figured out.
I mean, there was Stormbreaker didn't exist,
but you just needed the buy for us.
I mean, Stormbreaker existed in Infinity War.
existed in Infinity War
but it was so new
maybe he didn't know what
Thorrick was.
Maybe Thor doesn't know
what the Bifrost is
or how it really works.
I doubt that,
but maybe
but I know Thor knows.
So I'm not saying
Thor is the smartest guy,
but it's like,
hey man,
this is one thing
that's being in the galaxy,
you can go to
he'll grant you a wish.
Anyway,
so I'm making that point
just to say
that I don't,
we,
we're kicking Marvel in the
That's a lot.
I'm being an asshole about it.
I'm being an asshole about it.
No, no, no, no, you're not.
I'm just saying with the, with the mutant thing,
unless they give us a completely dumb reason why the mutants exist,
let's give a little grace there because we know why they really exist.
Okay.
Let's give a little grace there.
Okay.
I just want to mention, like, I know that it's been a long time coming.
We're like, hey, the mutants, but they were also like,
ah, man, it means like, bro, like, you know, who cares at this point?
I don't know.
I think we should give, we should give some.
patience to see where this goes.
You know, we're hopefully in a couple of weeks
going to get the,
Hall H. Kevin Fagie, talk about X-Men 97,
and how that would tie into the MCU.
But just as a general, like, you know,
I know that we're like,
ah, they're staying off all this stuff and there's no payoff.
Da-da-da.
Let's like, let's hold off and see what happens.
Like, if we look back and go, oh, that was useless
in a couple years after we've seen some X-Men stuff,
they're not going to stand it.
But in the moment, you know,
not that we should,
that we should all be excited and all,
like love it,
but like,
let's give some grace in terms of,
let's see where this goes before we,
you know,
be like,
Joe me,
it's been six movies
and seven TV shows.
Like,
yeah,
we've been given a bit for a while.
I am talking specifically
about the X-Men thing.
I got no more grace to give.
I'm saying the specific.
So,
so the next thing has to have X-Men.
You're like,
oh, man,
what was the point of that?
No,
You can't break, don't bring up X-Men.
Just don't bring up X-Met anymore.
You're being too cute.
Don't, like, don't keep teasing.
Just don't, like, come on.
Just show me the thing or don't.
I mean, like, I do understand what you're saying,
but at the same time, like,
if they came in and rushed this thing,
you would be upset, like, the same way, right?
So there's got to be some middle ground
where you're like, they got to set these things up
so they can knock them down eventually later.
You're right, you're right, John.
All right.

Hello Bree
She comes through
New suit
We're leading into the Marvels
What does this mean
Who wants to explain this to the people
The explainer?
Okay
So this is something that we touched on
When we're talking about
Kamala's Bengal
But the relationship between that
And the Ten Rings
The last time we saw
Captain Marvel
Before this was in Shang Chi
When they were asking
Like hey
What do you know about these
these rings what's going on.
And so maybe this is an extension of that
and that's how she discovers Kamala.
But there could be numerous other things.
We have no idea why the Bengals started glowing
and then they switched places.
That's nuts, you know?
But do you have any thoughts about that, Jemey?
I think it was an interesting way to bring her into the show.
Like we were talking about it, Steve, Joe, Mal,
and Arjuna and I, but we were talking about it
and we were like, man,
Do you think, like, we'll get Miss Marvel?
And I think the consensus was, like, if there's a small cameo,
like, it'll be, like, a post-credits and we'll definitely get Bree.
But if it was something bigger, we'd probably get a photon from WandaVision.
But to see, like, Bree actually there show up and, you know,
and the Captain Marvel get up, it was cool.
It was like, all right, we show.
We really fin it.
We really fit this thing, you know?
Oh, my goodness.
Come on.
What?
Yeah.
What?
Anytime a stop the cap is requested, it must be played.
What's the problem?
Man, we gotta keep it funky about that.
After Marvel movie.
Like, I saw her pop up.
I'm like, what am I supposed to feel?
Like, what am I supposed to feel, y'all?
Like, for real.
This is funny.
It was cool to see her, bro.
It was cool.
It was cool.
Listen, I'm, I'm...
Dog!
It's been a note that Cabbala card is at the Marvel.
movie. Of course she's going to be in that shit.
At what am I supposed to feel?
But she couldn't have. I'm the chief guy who's like these,
the movies and the shows.
Charles was one of my best friends. I love this
fucking kid, man. This kid is nuts.
I don't understand. Like, I'm the chief guy who's like the shows of the
movies. They don't connect. Da-da-da-da-da.
And even I thought it was like, hey, look at that.
Like, they got, kept them offling here.
Horrible. Horrible tape.
I'm right, but it's fine. We don't have to relitigate it.
But I was like, this is still cool.
You know what I mean?
Like, when you watch the show, you're like, boom.
I know how they found it.
I know how they connected.
I think that's still a cool thing for people to see.
I don't know why you're hating, bro.
It's going to be tough in the movie if you, you know,
you didn't see it.
Except when they explain it to you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
How they're going to explain to you who the person is when she debuted on TV.
Hey, man, that's, that's, you know Kamala Khan.
She got the bangle.
That's crazy.
Can we give this a midnight meter ranky, y'all?
No, we have to do something before we do that.
Oh, shit.
Oh, shit.
Steve, give me my music.
Charles.
It's your big brother, Van.
It's your friend.
Okay.
It's your Midnight Boy's partner.
It's your advocate for you, ally of you, your partner in crime.
I want to know.
Seriously.
Are you okay?
Am I okay?
Are you okay, Charles?
This is an intervention from all of us Midnight Boys.
The other three boys want to know.
We heard you on the Big Pick.
We heard you saying that you're burned out.
You don't want any more Marvel for a little while.
We hear you effusively praising the bear and getting some R&R,
whatever that movie is.
We want to know if you're okay.
just answer that question. This is a Midnight Boys intervention. This is an MBI for Charles.
You know what? I am okay. I am okay. I will say this though. For everybody thinking that like
doubting my love for the Midnight Boys never. Y'all, we came up together. I love you guys. This is the
peak, the peak of my week every single week talking to everyone. But I'm not going to lie, the Marvel,
the MCU of it all, it's been grinding on me. It's been, it's been, it's been, it's
been, it's been weighing heavy on my soul.
You know when a black man says that he's about to say some bullshit.
It's been made.
It's been made.
Don't.
I burnt the fuck out on like, not on the ring of verse,
specifically on MCU shit.
Like, people will like act like I, like,
I see the comments.
Everybody's like, Charles, Charles,
y'all went too easy on Thor,
love and thunder.
Where you disappeared?
Where was the hate?
And I'm like, guys, man, I can't,
I can't do this with y'all anymore.
I've been saying this shit for months
and I've been attacked.
I'm almost a scare down.
I'm afraid to be my honest, true,
authentic self.
You know what I mean?
I don't want to let y'all down,
but also at a certain point,
dog,
Faggy cut the check.
He's like, I need you to shut the fuck up
about the CGI, bro.
He's just like...
Oh, no, we're about talking about you.
No, worry about that.
No, but I really like to be clear
before we move off this.
Guys, I love the Midnight Boy so much.
favorite podcast to do. This is my favorite point
of the week. But let's be real. The three
of y'all, you're not a little bit
exhausted by all this Marvel shit.
Exhaustin would be a different word to use. I think that if I
was exhilarated, if I was exhilarated by what I was seeing,
it would be easy to just say that. I don't know
what the word is. I think I'm just kind of
in a weird stage of
blah. But here's the thing.
I wasn't saying this shit for the
boys or Obi-Wan. I was
Like, the boys, I was excited.
Like, I was just like, let's talk about good TV.
You know?
I'm like, yeah, boys love it.
Obi-Wan, not as good as the boys.
But still, like, cool.
Let's talk about some Star Wars.
MCU of it all.
I'm like, yeah, my.
I'll ask you this, man.
Did you leave Miss Marvel excited for Shield?
No.
That's a problem.
I used to leave.
I didn't leave Moon Night excited for, like, no, I don't know.
But think back to phase one, phase two, phase three.
I always left those theaters being like,
I want to see the next one.
I'm pumped to see the next one.
I think we think that now,
but I wonder how excited anybody was to like see Ant Man in the theater.
Like we all saw it,
but we're like, we excited about it.
I think the first Marvel movie I was super excited to see
that Arjuna says, let's see what Arjuna says.
Arjuna says there was also way more time between releases, Charles.
What do you say to Arjuna?
he is absolutely right
I was seeing a graph
there was this graph
that IGM put out
showing like when you add
the TV shows and movies up
in these phases
how long has it been
phase four has been
something ridiculous
like hundreds of hours
of content
where I'm like yo
I would be less mean
on these TV shows
less critical of them
if we got two of them a year
the fact that
how many have we gotten
so far this year alone
so seven
moon night
uh
Miss Marvel
Miss Marvel
and I think that's it
Hawkeye right
yeah well Hawkeye was last year
we're talking about like
shows this year
it's only been two
but in terms of phase four
there have been seven TV shows
that's a lot
like that's a lot
to be excited about
it's just
it's too much
when I complain
it's like I'm not complaining
about all the other shit
we talk about
talking about seven
MCU shows
in a year and a half times
too much
I
go ahead Jomi
nah I was gonna
that was my thing
like it was different
way back
when
When you just watched a movie and it came out in May and then there was one in November and you were like, man, I can't wait until April again or May to see the next Marvel movie.
And the next Marvel Project period.
And now we've got what coming out.
Like it seems like at least one every two months.
I can't believe I'm listening to the nerds complain that there's too much content.
It's not, listen, here's the thing.
I thought I could tell you all wasn't in the trenches in the 90s.
I can tell y'all wasn't in the trenches in the 90s
when you were reading the back of a wizard book
and it was like Spider-Man the movies
coming out in eight years.
Like, y'all weren't in the trenches in the 90s, man.
When the X-Man anime series came out,
remember the fucking movie they had,
like X-Man rise to the X-Man
or the Battle of the X-Men?
Remember it's the X-Man versus the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants?
Watch that bitch 19 times.
Like, when are they going to make something else?
had to wake up 6 a.m. in the morning and catch it.
I mean, it would help if all this shit wasn't mid, Van.
That's true.
I'm just saying.
Yeah, I think a steady dot of it, you don't, you forget how rare it used to be.
And now where, you know, you take it, even if it, even if it is mid, right, you take, you're not really, it's not really special anymore.
Regardless, mid or not.
What I'm saying is, it's not necessarily that we should be asking for less content.
We should be asking for better content.
because if everything was hitting
if everything was kicking
like Bruce Lee I don't know if we'd have these same
situations okay I understand what you're saying
no Jones I get you
I kind of feel like we
would power like we'd be more
excited to power through right we'd be like
man that was that was a lot of stuff
yeah we'd be more lenient in like our
you know our energy but I still
feel like either way we would
we would still be like God dang there's so much coming out
Jomi Midnight meter
Miss Marvel it's time for the midnight
Meador. Time for
to rank this season of Miss Marvel.
On the easier to understand Midnight Meter.
Shout out to Midnight Meter on Twitter.
We love what you're doing.
For those unfamiliar, the Midnight Meter is where the
Midnight Boys rank the film on the scale of 1 to 12.
Okay.
I've seen out there that there's some confusion about the midnight meter.
Listen, I'm not doing this with y'all again.
Okay.
Y'all know how to work the internet.
So I assume that there's at least a little bit of
comprehension and understanding.
The midnight meter is a one to ten scale like any other scale, except for the fact that because
we are the midnight boys, we reserve the right to rank something in 11 if it's a mini iconic
and a 12 if it's an all-timer.
Yep.
Okay.
That is the midnight meter.
If you guys want to know what the 12s are, we've said that the dark night is a 12.
All right.
We've said, I think that when are soldiers.
12.
I argue that Infinity War is an 11 and in game is a 12, but
like Infinity War could be a 12.
I just,
it's the moments, baby.
So this is what we're, this is, this is what we're talking
about. Also, I would say that the original Iron Man
is a 12, but the Midnight Boys
sometimes disagree. I would agree. Okay.
No, I would not agree on that. I would agree.
It's a good movie. It's a good movie. It's not a 12.
Yeah, of course you don't. You probably think, I don't know.
You're different, Charles.
you're different.
Van, you can't, Van, you are my biggest
hater because you will be on the phone
be like, yo, you got to be yourself.
I'm always going to back you, which you do.
But on the pod, you just like,
you're such a hater, man.
Like, of course you do.
Look at you.
I just disagree.
Anyway.
Okay.
That being said, I'm going to start with Jemey.
Jomey.
The series had its highs.
The series had its lows.
At its best, it was an enjoyable
slice of life drama about a team
coming into her own.
Just get to the score, bro.
Give me the score, nigga.
I was trying to do a thing.
I'm trying to be like Charles.
I'm trying to get on.
I'm trying to go on a big pick, you know what I'm saying?
I know Sean listening.
Sean's one of our biggest fans, you know what I'm saying?
I'm trying to get that call up.
You know what I'm saying?
And all, all that said, got to give it a seven.
Okay.
Cool.
Sixes.
Six.
Steve?
I will give this a six as well.
It is a six.
God.
Oh, my God.
It is.
Why you, why you press?
Jomey, why you press?
It's the six.
Why do you, why do I?
Six is the perfect number.
I'm not going to lie.
I wake up and I'm like, you know what?
I'm going to, I'm going to come up.
I'm, you know, I'm going to brush my teeth.
I'm going to take a shower.
You know, I'm going to, I'm going to teeth.
You're acting like your job as you're a stockbroker in the 80s.
You're just too stressed or something.
Like, what are you talking about?
I'm coming downstairs, excited to come and chat to y'all,
about a show I enjoyed.
I'm like,
I know these guys,
I know that they enjoyed it
too to a certain extent.
You know what I'm saying?
And then I show him,
I'm like, man,
this is a,
like,
like, throw a love and then.
I was like,
it's a nine,
y'all,
it's a seven.
A nine.
It's a nine.
And I stand by it.
A nine.
And I stand by it.
A nine.
We enjoyed the show
to the extent of a six.
A six.
Six.
Yeah.
It's fine.
A six is good.
Oh, man.
Six is not bad at all.
I mean, out of 10, it's a 60.
You can pass with a D, but like your GPA is, you know what I mean?
This is an algebra, okay?
This is a show.
Six out of ten.
Two whole episodes.
So, at a great first episode, second episode is cool, third episode was good.
Two whole episodes were trash.
Okay.
So two whole episodes are trash.
And then you get the six one, the six one was good.
So what you have there is a show that really is bad at around 50%.
that I gave it
is more like 60
60%
at least half of the show
let's be clear
at least half of the show
was not good
so that like
to advance point
so we're actually
being generous
by giving it a 60
you know what I mean
like
I don't
nah
maybe
maybe Joe again
I'm the
I'm the positivity
I bring the sunshine
I bring the flowers
I bring the nice
cool breeze
on a hot summer's day
that's your job
bro
you like the
you like the
Ecto Kula with Xanax in it.
You know what I mean?
All right.
That's a second.
You definitely like that episode.
Oh, that was a great episode.
The only thing about the show is it makes me want a beef sandwich.
I don't just be around eating a fucking beef sandwich.
Go to Al's Italian beef back home.
Yeah.
Man, I understand every single reference that's happening right now.
Shut up.
You don't watch the bear, Jomey.
You haven't seen the bear?
I've only seen two episodes.
I'm loving it.
Tap in, Joe.
Berm.
I'm having a good time.
Tap in, Joe.
Tap in.
Bear,
bear's great.
Okay,
Nerd News Minute.
Let's go.
Quick.
Look, we got to get Nate Moore
back on this podcast.
I need Nate Moore
on the podcast immediately.
So whoever made that happen
the last time,
I need Nate Moore
back on this podcast immediately.
We got some shit to talk about
Nate Moore.
Nate Moore is the guy.
We love Nate Moore.
He's a great interview.
But not just the current
the current state of MCU films themselves
from television shows,
but also what's going on in the VFX community, you guys.
The VXF community is fucking pissed at Marvel.
They say that Marvel is running them rampant.
There have been numerous claims by people who work in that community
saying that Marvel is the toughest client to work with.
Somebody said that Marvel causes stress on marriages.
Like, can you imagine losing your wife because you got to put Thor helmet on?
That's fucking nuts.
Bro, come on, man.
Like, they're saying that Marvel has unrealistic timelines, that the workload is unrealistic.
That they're becoming the biggest player in the VFX industry.
That's to be understood.
But they are the least, the least fun to work with.
We're going to start with you, Charles.
Someone that's been critical of Marvel's CGI for a while now.
Your thoughts when you heard.
I don't know if this will clear legal, but, you know,
got to put the Dynasty intro.
Maybe Nas Ether below me right now.
Yeah, we'll see how well we clear that.
Y'all niggas call me a mad man.
They say you a hater.
Why are you so obsessed with the CGI, bro?
Chill, bro.
It's fine.
TV, man, they don't got the budget.
They don't got this. They don't got that.
Whoopty-woop. And I'm like, all right, cool, cool, cool, cool.
You all stay over there, right?
Man, when this shit hit, it was like Christmas Day.
Tyco Watiti.
Tessa Thompson out here, crazy.
Tessa Thompson looked like Coke baby Tessa.
She pointed to her own movie.
She like, this shit looks fake.
I'm like, Tessa, speak on it.
Speak on it.
Tyca, like, damn, this shit, dude kind of like.
I'm like, speak on it.
Then the VFX, they like, damn, we should unionize because Tyka talking shit about us.
I'm like, all right, the revolution will be televised, okay?
The CGI revolution will be fucking televised.
Y'all call me a madden.
And I'm just saying, it's Christmas for me, all right?
Jolly St. Nick, okay?
Prancer, dancer, tipsy, all at my fucking house right now.
But I will say this to get very serious.
I believe in artists.
I will always advocate for artists.
And every single time that I was talking about the CGI, I was always quick to say, like, hey,
there are people behind the scenes that are working hard.
There are people behind the scenes that are doing their best.
But when you have an entire industry, not just Disney Plus, Netflix, HBO, constantly
cranking out so much content, people will suffer.
And the people that are suffering are generally at the bottom and they're generally getting underpaid.
And this is the history of comic book medium, starting from the people creating the
actual superheroes to now. And what I want is for all of us to support these artists,
to hear these artists, because this is more important than TV shows now. This is just like,
what type of world do we want? I know that we want this nerd content. We want all of this shit,
but there are people behind this. There are people behind the things that we consume. And we always
have to be like, yo, is this an equitable industry? Is this a healthy industry? What are we
willing to pay to support these people.
And all I keep reading, and I've
read articles that go beyond this
with people complaining, not just about Marvel,
but the entire movie and TV industry.
And I'm just saying that it's okay
if we're like this doesn't look good.
But the second thing we need to say is,
why are we allowing this to happen?
I see the floor.
Wow. You know what?
Coke,
Coke, Baby Chuck,
we're going to leave it right there.
That was, I,
really like that.
You know what, bro?
You have the sensibility of a lawyer.
Maybe you should have been that.
It's not too late.
Like, you know what I mean?
You should have.
Maybe you should have been that.
Better call Charles.
Better call Charles.
That's another great segment idea.
I'm coming up with the segment ideas.
I want to, I want to come up with some segment ideas.
And I want to run these by the audience.
Better call Charles is a good one when we need Charles to do some lawyer stuff.
Better call Charles, public defendant.
Jombie's bright spot.
the next time we have a movie that's universally reviled,
what I need is Jomey's Bright Spot.
All right.
Jomi's Bright Spot.
Maybe we can find a better name for that.
Maybe we'll workshop it.
We'll workshop it.
We'll find a better name of it.
Jomi's Bright Spot.
On the bright side with Jomi, whatever.
Sunny Side Up with your favorite stepdad, Jomey.
Like whatever it is.
And then Steve's back in sack,
he just gives us more tales of being.
Back in the sack.
Back in the sack with Steve.
Back in the sack with Steve.
Whenever someone on one of these shows does something toxic and desperate for loving,
Steve has to run it down.
Wow.
Okay.
All right, guys.
It's going to be touchy out there the way people react to this podcast about Miss Marvel.
Oh, they're going to fuck me up.
It's all right.
It's fine.
I want to say something right now.
You guys know in your hearts that the MCU is really.
You know it.
I'm not, for anybody that goes, hey, our expectations are too high the content?
Maybe you're right.
And maybe phase four is needed, if not for anything, then to readjust lofty expectations
about content that these creators can't possibly meet.
Maybe that's important, you know, maybe that's important.
However, there's going to be some criticism if people are.
aren't really enjoying what we're getting.
And you guys, we're coming off, Dr. Strange, Thorloving Thunder, Miss Marvel,
all highly, highly, highly, highly, highly discussed, sometimes in a negative way,
MCU properties, okay?
So we haven't had a time in the MCU
where we've gone this much time
without a time to just gush over something.
I can't think of it.
And if I'm wrong, give me a period.
Maybe somebody might say it's Thor,
Captain America, but then, you know, Avengers comes.
It's tough, man.
It's rough out here.
Like, let's not, here's the thing.
No, I, I, this is seriously.
Like, people are like, Charles just hang it up.
don't let the MCU anymore. I'm like, no, it's because I love the MCU so much that I want better for it.
So, like, it's rough to talk about Ms. Marvel like this. It's rough to talk about Thor, Dr. Strange.
So y'all, y'all know we've been in the wilderness, and you know we're looking for a light out.
But it's tough. We're starting to eat each other. We're starting to become cannibal.
Shout out to Yellow Jackets. All right? We just eating each other in the fandom, when we should be
throwing down the power structures of the society and raising up a more equitable place where we
claim the means of production
from the... I'm just joking.
Jesus Christ. That's enough, Charles.
Comrade Charles over here.
Power to the people.
I understand.
No, I mean,
like, Charles Lennon.
So, when we look, not to do
all this is we listen here, but when we look back at the
path in the MCU, you know,
after Avengers, Avengers,
Avengers comes out May
2012, right?
We get Iron Man 3.
person like Iron Man 3. People weren't really rocking with it. People weren't really rocking
with it at the time, right? The next film is Thor the Dark World. The other film Van
likes that most people would say is terrible, right? And then we get Winter Soldier in
2014, right? So we go a whole year between Avengers and Winter Soldier, right? From 2012 to
2014, where we didn't get jackal in terms of man. No, no, no, no. I have.
Hey, can I make my point, my brother?
We're only saying this because of the amount of content.
If we were getting two movies a year, right?
No shows, none of this.
And we would be like, wow, this is not, I don't think the films are great,
but we'd be like, we still be excited for the upcoming stuff, right?
I think when we look back at phase four, we'll be like, man,
they had too much dip on the chip.
They tried a lot.
they missed a lot
but what we're
gonna realize this
and this again
this is predicated on the fact
that they land
the plane at the end
that this was a phase
of transition
right
and a lot of the stuff
while in
you know
especially in phase three
we're building to
you know
Thanos we're building to
end game
they don't have this
in phase four
they don't have
a load start
that they're pointing to
and that's kind of
the problem right
to Steve's point,
when are we going to pay this off?
When are you going to play that off?
The films are doing a lot
that we don't know
exactly where it's headed to, you know?
And I'm not saying we should cut us some slack,
but I'm saying like, right now
it feels bad, but in the future,
we'll just be like, oh man, remember phase four and how that?
Man, that was nuts, man.
That was crazy.
You know, we've done this before, right?
It just didn't feel the same
because there wasn't 4,000 stuff
coming out at one time.
It's all I'm saying.
We'll be all right.
Long story short, we'll be okay.
You're selling a lot of kitchen eyes, bro.
That didn't make a lot of sense.
Yeah.
Are you like,
like,
I'll be,
we've been through a period
to being in a phase two.
You did.
You listed two movies?
You listen two movies?
And then you're like,
Winter Soldier.
So,
Winter Soldier.
Well,
that's what I'm saying.
It's different.
It's different when it's two movies
versus six movies
and seven shows.
Well,
what I'm telling you.
you is the amount of projects that have come out.
And that's what I'm saying.
And there's been no winter soldier.
I don't know what you're talking about.
And I'm saying it's coming.
It's coming.
Jomey, you're talking about a drought.
We're talking about acid rain.
I'm saying like it was different back then because we didn't have the amount of content.
If the content was.
Well, I'm telling you, I'm telling you that in this situation, there still needs to be.
The amount of content to me only.
increases the need to have solid,
really great movies that people can love at some point.
If you're going to put out more content,
it doesn't mean that it doesn't need to be as good.
Actually, to be honest with you,
I think it needs to be more consistent
if you're going to give more,
because if not,
that people are just going to get burnt out.
All I'm saying is, right,
I'm not counting 2020 because nothing came out in 2020.
Right?
So for the two years that MCU films
and all these stuff have been coming out,
we haven't really gotten, you know,
the things that we're looking for.
And I'm saying it's like, again,
from 2012 to 2014,
we got two Cheeks movies.
And we were like,
wow, that kind of sucked.
All right.
Well, let's get ready.
And then we got the Winter Soldier,
which, you know,
we got Winter Soldier and Garza Galaxy of that same year,
right, which clear.
We were like, wow, this is fantastic.
I'm saying is, yes, two,
I remember, I got mine, come on now.
Classics.
Classics, two heaters.
You understand what I'm saying?
And so it's just,
it's a lot of content.
coming out in a short period of time.
We're just, again, like, we're fed up.
I understand, but I'm saying, like, we had the patience then, right?
Let's, I must, like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, let's, like, let's relax.
All right?
Like, I get your problem.
Kevin Feigey, making you work for your money.
We get that, Joe.
We're acting like we've never done this before.
Like, this is the first time empty MCU's been mid.
That's not true.
The check is, that's not true.
John, Jomi, let me see your text right now.
Let me, let me see your text right now, because I'm telling you, Fahygiegie on
the other end of the text.
Got them.
Get them.
Get them.
You know what I mean?
Like, Jami, Jami.
Jami, Jami, you were in Vegas doing all of this stuff.
Pay for you to get out there, Jami.
Oh, my God.
Who paid for me?
Did you ride on the back?
Did you ride on the wings of a mouse to Vegas?
Do you understand?
Oh, my God.
I did my expense report last night.
Yeah, sure you did.
You know how much I spent in Uber's, dog?
Bro, Uber is kicking my fucking ass.
Dog.
I'm going to all of these different cities.
I want to go see the different stuff.
stuff as Uber is kick.
Hey man, shout out to Uber, bro.
Y'all win it in this bitch.
All right.
That's a wrap, guys.
Friday, the House of Our
will be giving you their deep dive
into Miss Marvel.
Friday, they're going to give you a deep dive
into Miss Marvel.
You want more formulated thoughts? Go there.
We're speaking from our feelings.
Okay, Wednesday.
The Midnight Boys are going to be back.
We're going to be back next Wednesday.
And we don't really know what we're going to do.
We might do a draft.
We might do a generation of discussion.
You know what we might do?
We might do a Midnight Boys special report.
Is the MCU in trouble?
And we might put that together with different guests and different interviews.
We might try to get Nate Moore.
We might try to get a bunch of people.
We might talk about the current state of the MCU on the Midnight Boys.
get as many people on as we can to see if we can do it.
We might not do it, but we might do that.
We're going to come up with something to do
because we know y'all like it when we get loose.
Right.
Producer credits.
Steve Almond Joy, the proud boy interruptionist bear.

We know it.
Yeah, it's the only one you can name this.
That's right.
That's me in the corner.
That's me in the spot.
Like, he had to pause because he was so in his back.
Yes.
Like Mike Stipe was so in his back.
He had to pause.
That's me in the spot.
Right.
You guys will never know where I got that R&.
song from. Chicken Little.
Jesus Christ. That's
jump me on social media. An additional production from
Arjuna, Ram Gapal.
Charles, take us out.
The VFX artists
are in revolt.
The MCU
might be reeling.
But I got a feeling
that I don't have to watch
the MCU. That I don't
have to watch the MCU.
That I don't.
Have to watch the FECD.
You is I got a feeling.
Oh, whoa.
Oh, wow.
Oh, God.
Pugh-poo, we out.
The suit looked great.
The suit looked absolutely.
Can't wait to see it more.
I'm telling you guys, the Wakandans were fucking with us.
Br, bro, I keep trying to tell y'all.
I keep trying to tell y'all.
The Wakandans don't like us.
like that.
They don't like African Americans like that.
Oh, my gosh.
Well, wait, no, they fuck with Bucky like that.
They gave him the arm.
They gave him the arm.
They gave him the arm, but guess what they did?
I have five touch,
exploding heart technique.
Give me that arm.
You know what I mean?
And even that,
let's go back to Bucky being in Waconda.
Think about that.
I want you guys to think about this.
Bucky is in Waconda, right?
One of the most technologically
amazing places in the entire world.
Beautiful place everywhere.
They put that motherfucker
in a hut with some goats.
They was like, you don't come near us, bro.
I mean, Bucky kind of probably wanted that.
He wanted a peaceful life.
Yeah.
I'm sure he wanted a piece.
If he could have a hotel suite?
I'm sure he wanted a peaceful life.
I'm also sure he's a city life.
I'm sure he wanted some fries.
What the hell are you talking about?
He's not a city boy.
He's from New York.
Yeah.
But he's born like 1875.
Like that's an old man, dog.
Bro.
He just trying to chill.
He just trying to live in peace on the country side.
He's just trying to live in peace on the country side.
But they kept Bucky out there the whole time.
They're not, the Wakandans aren't really
fucking with us like this.
Y'all I'm trying to tell you.
You're reaching.
Every time the Wakandans, every time
Mr. Fantastic reach right here.
Bro, every time the Wakandans,
every time something's brought up,
they turn their nose up.
They're not fucking with us.
Like, they don't really like us like that.
When I say us, I don't just mean black Americans.
I mean, it's like America, period.
They're sick of the bullshit.
They like, they like their,
look, we go there.
Okay, let me ask you a question.
When Black Panther took Shuri to Oakland,
around a bunch of black people in Oakland,
what was Shuri's response?
She thought they were going to Disneyland.
I thought we were going to Disneyland.
I'm not here to fuck with these niggas like that.
Oh, my God.
Black people don't go to Disneyland?
Bro, bro.
Jomi, you're deflecting because you know I've hit a nerve.
What do you mean hit a nerve?
You're reaching.
They bring, dog, they brought Shuri to,
they brought Shuri to Oakland.
And Shuri wasn't fucking with Oakland.
Wait, wait, wait, can I be real?
And this is like no disrespect to anybody living in Oakland.
But I'm sorry if I'm sherry.
And like my brother after this big battle that almost destroys my home,
he's like, all right, I'm going to take you out on a vacation.
And I touched down in Oakland, no, we're going to have a fight.
Like it's going to be a problem.
Nah, man, I love Oakland.
Shout out to Oakland.
Shout out to Emeryville.
Shout out to the Bay, bro.
Shout out.
I love Oakland.
What I'm telling y'all right now is they were like, hey, make a suit for Sam.
We need a suit for Sam to be Captain America.
And they were like, all right.
He bought to add this nigga looking fucking tough.
Before we move, do you think if EF already comes on,
do you think Shuri's like, shut that shit off?
Yeah, Shuri not fucking with that hyphy shit.
Shuri is not fucking with that hyphy shit, bro.
You walk into Shuri shit is Wiz kid,
is Burn a boy, it's Tim's.
She don't want to hear that hyphy shit.
Do you know what's funny, though?
I was talking to one of the interns.
shout to Kai Grady.
I know you're listening.
And he was like,
he was like, I hate E-40.
I was like, are you on God?
He was like, yeah, I can't do.
It's like, I can't do it.
I was like, bro.
That's embarrassing.
So he's telling me you go out,
they turn on that, that base.
And you just like,
no, I'm good off that, bro.
I don't even know he-for-old.
That's not-not-like the type of niggas.
Kyle looked like the type of nigger
that don't like E-40.
Yeah.
Yo!
God, don't you want me.
Yeah.
Fight back, God.
Fight back.
I'll fuck with Kahn.
Kai looks like, you know what I'm saying?
Kai looks like, like, Kai is like...
No, you ain't doing my man.
Guy like that.
You ain't doing my man, Kyle.
Do you know Kai, bro?
Yeah, I'm about to talk to him.
We ain't doing him.
No, bro.
Kai, I can see that from Kai.
All right.
So, back to Kam LaCon.
What's the difference between butter and butter made from real California dairy?
It's the real California.
of farm families behind it. Real people. Real care. Real intention. Why? Because real matters.
So whether you're pouring milk, melting cheese, or just grabbing one more spoonful of yogurt,
keep it real. Look for the seal. Real California milk by real California farm families.
