Welcome back guys.
Hey, welcome back.
It is still me, but we're nearly jet black hair.
You don't have a new co-host.
I think I'm on my like third hair colour.
It's not even actually been a year yet.
Yeah, I never change.
No.
I never change anything at all.
You might maybe go a little bit blonder, a little bit darker,
but like very close variations of the same thing.
Usually that's just if the sun's out or not out.
Yeah, and like in terms of the length of your hair, no fringe, no,
You're like you don't change up at all.
Do you ever get that urge to?
No.
No.
Not at all.
I know I won't like it.
You could suit every colour.
Yeah, but you could, but you're just too, you're just not brave enough to try.
No, I'd rather not.
I'd rather not try it.
I'm fine, I know I'm happy like that.
There is nothing worse than getting your hair done and then not being happy with it.
Yeah, exactly.
I mean, not going to lie, this is very dark.
I wanted it like dark chocolate brown because my hair washes out quite a lot.
Yeah.
So I was like, yeah, go really dark because it will wash out and it and it
lighten up.
And there was quite still a lot of like gingery in it.
It's still quite a lot of blonde in it.
So I was like, get all the call out.
But my hair, I don't know if my hair's taken to it very, very well or because this is actually
jet black.
Well, if you look at your top.
Yeah.
If you look at some bits of it and in the light, I can see some chocolate brown in it,
but there's a lot of jet black.
I like it.
But then I like your hair any colour.
Yeah.
See, Liam says he really likes it.
I'm still in the shock moment at like, like,
I feel a bit like a vampire, you know?
Like, I feel like this washed me out a little bit
because it's like only the day after or two days after.
But it was very faded and washed out and boring.
So I like walking out the hairdresser, it's different.
I like the change.
I would like, yeah, no, actually, no, I wouldn't.
And then I cut my fringe back in.
But yeah, so I'm just, I'm still getting used to it.
But it's darker than I planned.
Yeah.
It's darker than I planned.
It's still you.
under there. Yeah. But like I say
I just yeah just kind of get over it
and yeah. But your hair grows
very quick as well. Yes. So any
kind of, do you know what I mean? And I'm just like
no my hair. Well this is definitely the longest my hair's
ever been. Yeah but mine's very thin
it's just not worth messing with it. Just leave it as it is.
Yeah, because it might take you a long time to get it back
if you didn't like it. If I just start
messing with it changing colours I'm
do I mean it's just not going to help my hair.
It's not much to
it's not much to colour.
Yeah, my hair does grow quite quick
So there's quite a few times
I've had it cut above my shoulders
In like a bob
And yeah
And then it's that's it
Yeah
Yeah
This is my use
This is my length since I've ever known anyone
The longest you've probably had it actually
And I want to just have it
Trim just to keep that healthiness side of it
But otherwise
That's what I do like going dark for
It's like the gloss
And like it feels good
It was starting to feel a little bit
Dry
With the bits of like
Blondy bits I had in it
So yeah
nice um low maintenance yeah nice just let it wash out a little bit lighten up a little bit
or just get used to it a little bit more no it's nice it's nice but yeah it's still you yes and uh luckily
my hairdresser squeezed me in because i had an afternoon appointment um and then we decided we were
going to do something different for for mine slash your sister-in-law's birthday yeah um so she squeezed
me in early that morning so i literally went at like 8.45 i thought you were there well early
Yeah, I think she squeezed me in before her first client.
Wow, bless her.
So, yeah, thanks for that.
So I was able to get my hair done and then still carry on with the plans to go.
Otherwise, I probably would have had to cancel my hair and still have washed out hair.
Yeah, and you wouldn't have felt.
No, I wouldn't have felt good.
So I haven't had much done in ages.
And I've got my nails done, I've got pedicure, I've got my hair done, I've got my brows done.
Wow.
So, yeah, I'm like feeling all like ready.
Well, done you.
And it wasn't even actually for my, wow, it's kind of for my birthday, because it's all kind of falling in.
my birthday's in a couple of days.
But it was mainly because I'm going to England for work and Christmas parties.
So I was like, it'd be nice to have my nails done and refresh my eyebrows and like, yeah,
my hair was overdue.
So yeah, I kind of all got it done, but it ended up most of it being done in time for my birthday as well.
Well, I tried to do that.
Looking after myself, I was like to start again, booking your facial, Charlotte,
you know, that sort of thing.
Facials, lashes, nails, all different appointments and people and whatever.
And just because I have that luck,
Um, that week, the, the place where I get my facials is closed that I needed. Um, my lash a,
lash a point had to cancel and rearrange. And my now point, I'm cancelled. So I was, oh, I tried.
Tried. Yeah, I'm not very consistent with those things. So even like, I hadn't had my nails done
since August when I went to a wedding. And then when they grew up and I picked them off,
I hadn't had them done since then. It was more that, I think, because you push, it was more
because I'd push to try and do it. Yeah. Do I mean? I was like, I was like,
And then I was like, oh, that's why I don't bother.
Well, it's a little bit like me trying to organise dinner for my birthday on Tuesday.
I've tried four different restaurants.
And for whatever reason, like, why is it so hard?
Like, the first place I wanted to go to is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and it's a Tuesday.
Of course it is.
The next place I tried is also closed on Tuesdays.
Then the next place is closed for a week's holiday over that week.
Yep.
So, yeah.
And now it was yesterday, obviously, Saturday.
Today's Sunday, so I can't contact many places today
because some of them are closed on Sundays and Mondays.
So we're literally just going to have to rock up somewhere on Tuesday.
Yeah.
Eight of us.
Yeah.
So I will figure out.
It should have been an easy thing, but...
Well, it's winter.
Yeah.
But, yeah.
It's just typical.
That's why I thought it is.
Yeah.
The one time I actually want to book, because I don't even reserve when we go out.
The one time I want to reserve and the first four places,
my first four choices.
That would happen to me and Mitch, to be fair,
if we don't really go out much
or, you know, like that sort of thing.
And if it was a time, like on a random,
like, on a random, right, let's go,
and let's go to, for example,
let's go and let's go to this place
that we said we're going to go to
and we haven't got the kids.
And that day, I don't know, it's closed
or it doesn't open until, I don't know,
half eight, when it's like,
quarter seven or something like that.
And you're just like, this is why we don't bother.
This is why we don't bother.
It's like Liam always says,
fancy spuds.
on a Monday
and they're closed on Monday
but any time he mentions it
and any other time we need
like something to do
and we can't think of anywhere
I never remember there
but the only time he remembers
and fancies one is when they're closed
oh I love a good spuds
yeah curry chips and cheese
anything anything to be fair I'd like that
we might just end up at the pub
that'll do
like Paddy's Point or stray sod
or something pub food
pub pub pub grab
could rock up there maybe
pub grub and a good quiz
do you know how funny
how funny you said that
because there was one place that I looked at
I think it was Derby's and it said quiz on Tuesdays.
I was like, I fancy a quiz.
I'd happy to do that.
It was half two in the afternoon.
I was like, oh, where does a quiz during the week?
I bet there's somewhere.
That's after like work hours.
Yeah, like seven o'clock quiz or something.
Cheers my actually.
Yeah.
But somewhere I'd quite fancy little quiz.
That'd be quite a laugh at it.
That's one thing that me and Liam do on the cruise ships.
Whenever we go cruising, I look through like the itinerary
and we always pick out the game show.
and we go to the quizzes.
Then we'll just change what we're looking for
because we've been looking for maybe
to have I mean more dinnerish I suppose
isn't it? Yeah.
Well yeah because I thought in my head like
I'd be nice to like dress up a little bit
not loads but dress up a little bit
and go somewhere like pretty
I don't want to sit in McDonald's
just somewhere that's like pretty
Yeah.
Now they're closed.
Everywhere's closed on a Tuesday
I've heard of restaurants being closed on Mondays
because obviously they do the weekend
and they close on a Monday
but quite a few places.
on Tuesday.
I'm like, oh, for goodness sake
and I can't change it.
So don't leave and go see you next Tuesday.
There is true to see you next Tuesday.
But talking of your birthday
and doing different and da-da-da-da-da-da.
You saying that you'd done something
with my sister and all, yeah,
you wanted to do something different
because it is always, whether it's mine,
either friends or whatever.
Dinner and drinks.
Gene's in a nice top.
It is.
It's literally up every time.
But it is.
It ends up just being dinner and drinks,
doesn't it?
And so, yeah, we...
Which is nice to catch up.
It's lovely.
But I think we'd already had the conversation.
I fancy doing something a bit different.
Not that it's a big birthday, but I suppose it is.
35 is like halfway to 40, as my sister keeps reminding me.
Yeah, but I think as you get older, you don't really make it special.
I just think, not even getting older, I just think, sorry, as parents, we seem to do, you know,
when we're on our own, we go for dinner with the partner or your friends.
You go and, you know, you don't do anything.
Any time you have a gap, it's like, oh, we'll go for dinner.
Yeah, it's never just anything that you are interested or, you know, anything fun or, you know what I mean.
You never really think of hobbies, do you?
Or activities as an adult when you have time, it's, oh, we'll go for dinner.
Yeah.
It is, it's just that natural thing of going for food.
It was like when we did the pottery, not class, but the pottery painting.
Yeah.
That was so good.
Yeah.
And more enjoyable than just going for dinner and drinks.
Yeah.
Lunch and drinks.
Yeah.
Do you know what I mean?
I think it was just.
It was, it was lovely.
So you decided to...
Well, we'd had that conversation
and then I spoke to your sister or not
and she was totally on the same page
of wanting to do something a bit different
and somewhere a bit different.
We always go to the same bloomin' places
and the same restaurants.
So, yeah, we ended up agreeing on Alacanti.
So it's a good hour drive for most of us.
And an escape room.
Yeah.
It's a nice city location, an activity.
Somewhere we really don't go on.
often. I mean, I'll be lucky if I go to Alicante a couple times a year. I don't.
As much as we should, I suppose. Yeah. And there's a lot of different, it's just a different vibe,
in different places and stuff. So yeah, we did an escape room. That was the plan. That's really
the only plan we had. And then we're like, we'll moot you about, we'll have some drinks,
we'll get food, whatever. But the escape room was really funny. I've done maybe two escape
rooms, I think, before. See, I've never done an escape room. So although I didn't, I'm more or less
know what they are, I've only ever done something in, um, down southway,
uh, was like, um, I'm trying to think what it was, prison island it was called, but it was
very like Crystal Maisie. Yeah. Whereas it was sort of similar, but this was obviously, you've got
to escape to get to the next next section, isn't it? That's what an escape room more or less is.
Do you know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. In terms of, um, you know, things, if you got to get to
similar. Yeah. Yeah, I get what you mean. There's, slight, slight different. So that's the only thing I
had of what more or less it would be.
Obviously, it was a bit like, oh, okay, it's excited.
I've never done it before, obviously.
But what was funny is that we walked in and he went, come on, okay, in.
And we were like, no explanation, no backstory.
Well, I suppose they actually, to be fair to this place,
they sent a video the day before, like a short video.
So they sent a video saying, send this to all your crew members.
Yeah.
And it was a woman, wasn't it?
Bit of a background story of like what's happened.
Yeah.
What was it, AIs?
Yeah.
Robots are taking over and we need your hands.
help and that kind of thing.
Yeah, so that was, I suppose, the prep talk, but in a way it was more...
Probably health and safety talk I was looking for.
But the only thing he said was, there's a big red button.
Only pressed the big red button in an emergency.
That's all we got.
That was all we got.
And there was like, it was almost like a stand-up coffin in each corner of the room.
And I've never done...
But it wasn't as in this chat.
It wasn't as a coffin.
No, it was one of those like a spaceship...
where you've got like a window
but you stand in it and there's
it's probably as big as this
so I had space to move my hands but it was quite tight
so that's all he said and then he's literally
separated us, nearly nearly pushed us into
and shut the door and I didn't expect to be separated
we didn't even get to say goodbye we didn't even get to
nothing no no explanation
get in the room and shut the door wasn't it
and then that was it it wasn't like when you get in there
you will see this and you will have to do this
that was it we just got in there and shut the door
and that was that then someone started
speaking through the speaker, didn't they?
Yeah, yeah.
They played like the video and started to get you into it
and stuff like that.
I wasn't actually, three seconds in,
I wasn't actually listening to this person
through the speaker because all I was thinking was,
I don't actually think I can do this.
So I shouted out, because I get a bit panicky
in them kind of spaces.
And I was like, girls, I don't think I can do this.
No one replied to me.
Nobody answered.
I could hear your voice talking, but...
Not what I was saying.
I didn't know what you were saying.
I was literally, so no one answered
and then I was like, right, he said,
I only press this big red button in an emergency
and I'm looking up at it and I'm like,
this is an emergency, bang, and I just stood out
and he just looked to me like, what the fuck are you doing?
You've been in there, 0.3 seconds.
I just shut the door and I was like,
I'm really, really sorry, I'm just very, very radical.
It was like, look, you can go in there
and just leave the door open a little bit.
And I still put my foot there
because I was thinking he's going to shut it on me.
He's going to shut it on me.
I knew it though.
The minute I stood in there, I went, oh,
yeah, this is a bit tight.
It was a lot.
Cosophobic.
Yeah.
And then, yeah, I thought you would.
Very, very quickly.
I didn't think you'd actually push the emergency and get out in three seconds.
Yeah, no, I couldn't.
But I did think of you in that space.
And then, then I was fine.
After that, I was, well, I was fine in the room.
I wasn't fine with anything we had to do.
God, didn't you feel stupid?
Very, very.
I don't know if just because he threw it in there quick,
it threw all our common sense out of the window.
Well, afterwards, we all said, like, we're moms.
Between us, we have three, three,
three, two and two, ten children.
God, slow.
Ten children between us.
Don't all be in a number.
We're always like on the ball
and keeping all these humans alive,
but it's like, take the kids away from you.
Yeah, I get that.
And it's like, yeah, I'm very like that.
You just like all of a sudden, like,
yeah.
You lose your common sense.
Yeah, it was very much like that.
Yeah.
It was, so then we're in there
and then the first thing was all these papers
started flying around, wasn't it?
Yeah, which as in the middle of it,
one flew up and I could see that had writing on.
So I grabbed it, I looked at it,
it made no sense because it was part of obviously a sequence.
I looked around because it said activates.
I was like, look and I was like, nah, and I threw it.
Yeah.
Well, I thought it was like a game of, you know,
like in the American games and they catch all the money.
Yeah.
So I thought it was like that.
So this is how different we're all thinking.
I know.
So I've just caught all these papers and put them in my pocket as I'm getting them,
so I'm not losing any.
And then...
And you actually stole it.
them because you walked out with them so the poor
man's now doesn't have props for his thing. I didn't
mean to. It was only like, I was like, oh look
got all the props in my pocket.
So then I'm then
getting them out one by one and counting
how many because I'm thinking maybe we just need to count them.
I know how much money. It's not money. And he's going through the
speaker trying to help us at every point.
Teamwork is key.
And I'm like, what does that even mean?
What is it all doing? It's saying opposite. So I'm counting
these piece of paper that's got no, I shouldn't
be. And then obviously the other
girls have found...
And it said part one, part two, so we knew that we had to read it out.
But I couldn't find that bit of paper, could I?
I definitely don't have piece paper, girls.
Yeah.
Definitely don't.
So I think because my door was open a bit, that suction had changed the way it all
flew around.
And this bit of paper, anyway, got stuck, I found it.
Anyway, that bit we managed to get through.
That was just the first, very, very, very, very, very first thing that happened.
Which should have been very obvious because you get one piece of paper.
Yeah.
It says part one.
You know there's other people in the room.
It's obvious that you have to read it in a single.
It's just what I'm saying, how your brain thinks.
It's one of those things, yeah, because then we went into like three different rooms
in the end.
But every time we went into a room, it was like, oh, what about this?
Oh, what about that?
We're all seeing different things.
Yeah, and working out things.
Like, we wasn't all working out.
And like the pipe thing, me and Ashley got quickly.
And then you and Kelly like, I can't move it.
Mine don't connect.
Mine's not working.
It's like, it does, girls.
It will just connect them in one line.
Imagine water flowing.
It can't have a gap.
It can't go.
they can't come down and we're just like,
it's not,
it's not,
and me and Ashley realized
that ours had the same pattern,
like, so it wasn't like all different.
Yeah, like, it's the same.
To explain.
So then we're trying to explain the shape
and she's like,
it's an upside down capital A
and I'm like, it's a cup, half full.
It's just funny,
our brains work so different.
And then there was another,
this is why we're still in this pod one,
this one, these one, these examples.
There was, and I even heard,
so while we're doing,
doing all different things because when you get in there you do you look around and what
thing you to try because you like you say you don't even know what you're looking at.
You have to find things to then solve it.
Yeah, that's it because not all the time that they're speaking and giving you much, you know,
to go off you have to find it. Yeah. So then I knew there was this panel here and at one point
I did hear a big bang but the whole time I'm thinking is my door still open a little
bit. Obviously that was my main focus for a lot of it. And and then all these sounds started
coming through like a dog or a bird or a plane or I don't know, whatever it was right? So
you'd hear whof, woof, and then I thought that you had to just shout it and be like,
oh, we were all shouting it, weren't we?
Well, yeah, it's a dog.
Yeah.
And then you, it's a dog, got it.
I was going, a dog, got it.
Because that's what it is.
It's a dog.
Because she's saying it out loud and she's thinking she's doing it.
You know, they were recognising that I was saying a dog.
But no, you missed.
Got it.
I missed the whole thing that this panel had dropped.
The whole front thing had dropped.
And there were all these buttons with different pictures.
So if you had that, if I had a dog, I had to push that button and go, got it.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
So that whoever's room has got that noise and whatever.
So that one, I, whoever was in charge of that place and looking through the cameras, obviously,
because they have, like, must have been pissing himself laughing.
I did say to you, didn't I.
She fully thought she was involved.
Yeah, I fully thought I was getting it right.
So I was saying, ding, ding, I thought, I got it.
Somebody else pushing their button.
That was someone else actually getting it.
Yeah.
You know when you're really adamant, you're doing something right though.
And then it was.
But I didn't even realize into the second bit of the activity.
I went, oh, girls, then buttons are on the wall now.
They were like, yes, Charlie, you were supposed to press them
when it was like a dog going to burn.
What were you doing?
I always just stood there saying it out loud.
So when you actually realise them things,
I would have loved to see the video.
Like if they've recorded the security that's watching you all doing it
in the different pods, each room we've got to go in,
I would have loved to actually buy it
and watch it back because it would have been hilarious.
It was.
And that was just in the pod.
Yeah, so like I say,
we went into about three or four different rooms.
Yeah, because it only lets you out.
So when we did it and we were let out of the pod.
Yeah.
And then you're still in like a little room.
Yeah, literally like a little room.
It might say if it was like a spaceship,
it'd be like the hallway, saying.
Yeah.
Do you get what I'm trying to say that,
that sort of thing, isn't it?
Yeah.
And we had to get into like the control room area.
That was it.
Yeah, yeah.
So there was all these different things that you had to get through.
There was no way of going forward without going,
getting past that bit, wasn't it?
Yeah.
There was a bit with,
um,
the,
there was a robot
that was obviously,
there was actually dressed up,
obviously.
The man in a robot soup,
bless him.
So at that time he couldn't even help us
through the speakers.
No, I was thinking that
because it only looked like he was there.
That's like, who's gonna help us now?
No, no, that's what we were saying he helped us.
So there was this,
there was this, this man dressed as a robot.
It looked really cool and everything.
And then there was,
it was like a decoder basically, wasn't it?
Yeah, it would say like hello equals and then like a made up word.
Yeah.
And like, yeah, it was like stop, grab.
Yeah, but for example, let's say it was like shut the drawer.
Shut the draw or shut the drawer, it would be.
Yeah.
Shut the drawer and you'd have to put them together.
That would be Macca and that would be Renner.
Yeah, so it would work out.
Maca Renna and I don't.
And actually real like, woo, because it would be a bit like that.
But the problem we had was turning the thing on.
We was like, hey, let's say it was.
Like hello.
So we're like, hello.
Yeah.
Move.
Stop.
Start.
Whatever it was.
And it wasn't moving at all.
And then one of our friends went,
Girls, maybe we should initiate the robot.
Hey, hey, or whatever it was that we had to do.
And then all of us and he was like, finally.
Yeah, this poor man stood there for five minutes
without saying every other command on the list,
skipping over the one that says initiate.
The first one was hello.
The one after, I think, might have even been it.
So we actually like read the whole list.
tried everything,
apart from the one thing that turns him on.
Yeah, if you'd turn on,
it would have been a little bit easy.
Maybe it would just sit initiate.
But like you say, you just feel stupid
because they're like,
uh,
obviously.
There's so many things we were doing, wasn't it?
So many things.
Crazy.
Like even some of the things,
then when he was speaking through the speaker
to obviously help us a little bit,
we were laughing at,
like, like, lying, drop into the floor,
laughing because of how stupid.
Obviously.
Yeah, you know, like, oh my God.
Like, I know,
where he was looking, I felt like looking at her, like,
we are really not usually being stupid.
Yeah, like, what on earth?
And that made it funnier, I think.
It did make it funny. If we'd got it, it would have been
not as funny. And that was without, we were planning
on going for cocktails and everything before, but because
we left late, we just went straight there. Can you imagine
if we'd had a cocktail or
something that really would have made us?
But we had a shandy in the car and then it was your,
wow, we stopped at a shop. That was after.
That was hard, I was going to say, we didn't drink before.
No, we drank shandy on the way there. That was it.
Well, we didn't.
Well, we did, sort of.
Yeah.
But no, I was thinking of that
Buzzball, yeah.
Which was 13% or whatever it was.
Yeah.
Nasty.
Well, we shared it.
I was gonna get a couple of things.
I know, you're like, we should have one each.
Yeah.
It was very, at least I opened it, I was like,
yeah.
That's pure, like.
It was strong, but what got me was like,
it had a hint of, like, Malibu-y taste,
and that just, I couldn't.
That's what wasn't nice.
It was strong, but I could have drank it that strong,
even though it was like,
Yeah, I know what you mean.
The flavour of it I didn't like.
Yeah, it's just very, yeah, I know what you mean.
But yeah, no, that was, that, that was hilarious.
So that was this great skate, there was loads more to it,
loads loads more to it, but it was such a good choice of thing to do.
And do you know what, there's, we didn't realise, obviously, well, I didn't.
There's so many more different escape.
That was just obviously one company.
Even that place, just that one place, had so many other type escape escape room to do.
Yeah, so this one was like a side.
robot AI kind of like theme.
Yeah, like the spaceship and stuff.
But then they had like a Trump one and they like crime one.
Yeah. They've even got some like scary ones with like zombies and stuff like that.
And I think there's kids ones as well.
Yeah, there's a fantasy land one because I was looking through at which ones to pick.
Yeah.
And I was like, oh, that picture looks quite good.
And then it said infantile.
I was like, oh, okay.
Maybe we should have gone to that.
We should have gone to the infantile.
But I just thought it was brilliant.
You can do that.
Friends, family, couples.
I did it with work.
The only other two I've done, I'm pretty sure I did with work.
I just thought it was brilliant, so I definitely recommend it.
And a great laugh, like you say, it's fun while you do it.
And we had no plan and no time.
So as we come out of there, it was very, so when we'd gone in, it was obviously like, you know, early afternoon sort of thing.
Four o'clock.
Yeah, you know, like with the Spanish, right?
And then we came out and again, we just a little stroll around, didn't we?
All the Christmas lights were coming on, it was getting dark.
That was it.
It was all changing over.
and obviously because it's very cityish
and it was a lot, very,
everything's like kind of decorated a lot more.
And then there was this huge nativity
that apparently is one of the biggest in Europe or the world.
I think she said it's the biggest statues in the world.
Well, I would get that because they are huge.
It's like Mary Joseph, Three Kings, Nativity.
Nativity scene.
But they're as tall as the apartment blocks that they stand in front of.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, I wouldn't like to be in them apartments.
No, I'm a bit freaky.
Having someone's face look through, like Jesus staring at you.
or the Three Kings, the babies, Jesus, obviously.
The Three Kings, Mary Joseph,
staring at you through the window
while you're trying to watch TV in the living room.
Exactly that.
I'd forget though, do you know, like forget.
Like, yeah, go through wee and the night.
Oh my God!
Yeah.
Sweet Jesus, Mary Joseph.
But no, it's nice.
It was nice city vibes.
And then we just stopped at some tapas bar.
We were getting all different like tapas brought to us,
which was nice.
That was good, because.
I wouldn't usually do that so much.
Liam don't eat any of that,
so I'm happy to eat those things.
So it was a nice difference
and I didn't want to get bogged down
and sit and have a proper heavy meal.
So it was actually perfect.
Heavy meal, but we ate basically a baguette between them.
Yeah, we did.
We ate a lot.
Because obviously tapas, mostly a lot of things
just come on a bread.
Everything in that place came on a slice of bread.
To the point I was actually leaving the bread
at the end because we had so much of it.
Which was fun.
And then I remembered that
last time I was in Alacanti with work actually a couple of years ago we went to a
karaoke bar so I was like oh yeah let's go to karaoke bar everyone was on the vibe to do that
because also we'd gone up with a theme of dressing denim and diamonds which is obviously the
birthday girls request yeah so it was supposed to be denim and diamonds kind of a bit westerny
kind of cowgirl theme but the outfit most of us had planned the day the day of it was windy
and the temperatures dropped by like 5 degrees.
So we all kind of scrapped.
Yeah, the outfits did go with the way that.
But we still stuck to denim and diamonds.
So we all had jeans and diamonds.
And you had diamonds in your hair.
I had a big diamond choker.
Your sister-in-law had diamond jeans.
Yeah, we were full-on diamond up.
It was cool.
But it was comfy because we had trainers on and jeans.
And we were like warm, which was the main thing, comfy.
So yeah, we ended up karaoke.
We did.
We went into a karaoke bar, didn't we?
like a fun of karaoke.
It had like a proper stage and all the seats
to set up to like watch.
It was like, yeah.
And when we got there was only just one big table
that had apparently reserved.
And Carrieaki started 10 minutes later.
Yeah.
We got there.
But it was really quiet first, wasn't it?
Yeah.
And but by the time we left it was packed.
I think most tables were taken.
It was busy.
It was obviously like one of those places.
But yeah, so we got in and well,
my sister-in-law is a singer.
So she got up, started us off.
She kicked us off.
Even the man wanted to do a duet with her,
the man who ran the karaoke.
Yeah, so they actually did actually literally stand behind her, didn't he, with the mic,
while the song was singing.
I was like, you sing this now?
It was good because like you and her can sing,
so you two done songs together.
She done a song, you done a song.
All of us got up and we sung Bewitched.
Yeah, and Spice Girl.
It was just really fun.
And because it was a karaoke bar and like I say,
it wasn't busy at the beginning,
it just, like I wouldn't really do that where we live.
No.
I don't know why.
It's just completely different vibes.
And it's not even like,
oh, I don't know people here,
which helps.
But it's just the vibe of the place.
I know, it was just...
And other people couldn't sing that we're getting up as well.
That is what karaoke is about.
It's just obviously...
Yeah.
Well, especially in these areas, people take that so seriously
that, you know, that it becomes not so fun,
which is obviously what karaoke is about, isn't it?
Not all the time, but sometimes, you know?
Yeah.
And like you say, it just made you feel like you could just try.
Yeah.
You know the songs that you kind of...
wish, actually I want to try one of these one day,
but you never would.
That was like that.
Like you,
oh God, yeah.
Bill decided to get up and sing, well, not sing.
I think I...
Yeah, rap.
Yeah, Rapp, Eminem, lose yourself.
Yes.
Yeah, well, I can't sing,
but it was, to be fair, it was a dare.
Oh, I didn't realize it was a dare.
So, um, me and Ashley went to the bar to get the next round of drinks.
And there was a girl there who actually went to the karaoke bar by herself.
Yes.
And she kept getting up singing songs.
And she wasn't the best singer.
No problem there.
But she was giving it some.
She was feeling herself.
Like Shakira, shaking, trying to body pop
in the middle of the song.
Which, you know, go for it.
Do you know what it reminded me of?
This is the best way of explaining it
because I'm sure a lot of people have seen this video.
You know the video with the girl who does a dance for like a nan?
She goes, happy birthday to you.
Like, it's actually interrupting your voice.
Like, how much you're moving,
you can't actually sing because you're dancing so much.
But anyway, she's, like, singing all these, like,
they're Spanish songs, so I don't even really know them,
but one of them was the Shakira song.
And I said to Ashley at the bar, I was like,
oh, you know, all these, like, girls and other people
singing all these, like, sexy songs,
like, it'd be funny if I just got up and wrapped Eminem.
Yeah.
She went, I dare you.
And at that point, the bar wasn't very busy.
Yeah.
And I was like, well, I'm pretty.
sure I know the first first to lose yourself, I'll do it.
And then, yeah, when they actually called my name out, I was a bit like,
why did I say that?
But she owned it.
When I mean she owned it, like the beginning, but you can see as she got.
It's on for getting, where it broke down, the whole crowd.
Oh, so loud.
The yoke in just now, but the world's won't come out.
We're choking now.
Everybody's choking now.
The locks run out.
Tom is up.
Oh, so you're so mad, but you won't get a lot.
It's on the stage.
you can see, she's gonna,
fucking God,
what am I doing,
sort of thing.
And then,
and then,
and then,
and then I,
you can see what she's singing.
I've,
even some people are thinking,
fucking I,
she's gonna wrap,
lose yourself,
kind of thing,
because you can sing what song.
Eminem.
Yeah.
And then literally,
as soon as the beats comes on,
she starts going like this.
And then she wrapped it.
You want to get one shot.
One opportunity.
It was, it was good.
I actually admit,
it was really,
really, really good.
I did quite impress myself just with how much.
Because with a song, sometimes you don't know all the words.
Like even one or two of the like Spice Girl songs,
I was like, it says that.
Yeah, I never knew that.
Chicks to the front.
Yeah, we are.
I thought it was chikin to the front.
Exactly.
But with a song, it's slow enough that you can like still sing it in the,
if you know the word and you know that beat of it flowing.
Rap is fast.
Yes.
Eminem speaks fast.
Yes.
So to try and read, read words you don't know.
Yeah.
But yeah, I knew the first
and I actually knew quite a lot of the third verse.
The middle bit was a little bit.
I think you did very well.
But I got well out of breath.
Like, oh my God.
Bill, me, the three people who were literally watching you
would literally like this and we wasn't even on the stage.
Like we was, honestly, it was funny.
It was amazing.
It was so good.
Liam's definitely going to ask me to put a clip of that in this now, for sure.
You've got who, you've got who, Bill.
Maybe without sound.
Did you do the, at least the start bit?
Because honestly, it was funny.
She was so good.
If you're going to do it, we said this even before.
Like, you don't have to be good at karaoke, but you have to commit.
I think that's why I was trying to put songs down like,
spice girls.
Well, even Ashley said, like, she doesn't have for work,
but she was picking songs that she enjoys singing that she doesn't normally do at work.
Exactly.
And that's what it is about.
It is about.
So it was really, really fun.
I'd love to do it again.
Yeah.
Love to do it again.
They did have a section in that.
place of like the voice.
The voice in one of the boxes
with seats with the button.
So it must be more of a virtual game of it.
Well, on the outside it says you can record,
play, sing, dance.
So again, I'm not 100% sure we didn't get to look into it, did we?
Because we...
Well, I thought, to be fair,
I thought we went in at like five, six o'clock,
but we clearly didn't because the DJ or whatever is.
We got there just before eight
because it was like 7.45 and she was like,
we're not even open or something.
Bear in mind, we were like,
yeah, we'll be home around like eight or nine.
Yeah, so I full on said to Liam,
I'll be back by about nineish and even he went,
oh, that's a bit late if you're going up at,
we left at like one, two.
And I was like, yeah, but by the time you get there for like,
by the time you get there for three,
have a drink before, then escape room for an hour or two,
then dinner, then a drink and then home.
But no, we went to this carriac by eight,
we left at half 11.
Yeah.
So we didn't get home till half 12, one.
Yeah, but it was good.
It was, it was so much.
fun and them three, four hours went.
And I would happily literally go again tomorrow.
I mean, not on a school night sort of thing,
but, you know, like with couples and do the same thing,
or with the girls, or...
Or with the kids.
With the kids, I don't know if the kids are allowed, but...
genuinely going, but, you know, just that relaxed thing of,
you know, with the kids, it's a bit more...
Not to be selfish, everything's always about them, isn't it?
You know what I mean?
Everything we do, oh, the kids are like this, everything.
We make it for them.
And I'm like, no, no.
When there's actually something that we enjoy,
we should keep that for ourselves.
It was definitely similar.
I'd go, yeah, I'd go back to that next week again.
Do you know what I mean?
Because the escape rooms you can do differently
and there's so much you could do in...
Well, we all said while we were there,
we're doing it again in the next couple months at least
and we're going to do a skate room.
We're going to do karaoke and we're going to come back with the guys.
Definitely. Definitely. I'd definitely do it again.
Yeah.
Maybe not wrap 8-mile.
It was funny because I was messaging Liam at the same time.
And I was like, I'm about to get up and wrap 8-mile.
It's not even 8-mile. Lose yourself.
I'm about to get up and wrap Eminem.
And he went, classic, brilliant.
And then afterwards, I sent him a video and I went,
because we're in this loud place.
I couldn't even hear myself.
And obviously I blacked out on stage.
I don't even know how good it went.
And then I sent him the video and I went,
I haven't even listened to this.
I hope I don't give you the ick.
But no, he was like, that was amazing.
No, how we get home.
Yeah, touch one.
Can wrap eight miles.
Yeah, so, no, it was hilarious.
And like you say, who cares?
I can't sing.
but it's fun.
It was fun.
That's exactly what it was.
It was funny.
It was really, really fun.
And yeah, it was good.
It was good.
I mean, I was sick on the way home.
Nothing to do with drinking or anything like that.
It was just motion sickness.
Yeah, well, you didn't feel great on the way up there.
No.
And then it like went as soon as we got there.
Yeah.
And then, yeah, you weren't feeling great the whole way home.
And we made it to San Miguel.
We made it five minutes from home.
But I just couldn't.
It just, you know, when you get that feeling of it just...
The wave of coming up.
I was nearly half out of the window trying for it not to obviously go on my friend's new car.
The window was at your belly.
You were half out of the car.
They were all worried that I was going to whack my head on a pose.
She didn't even know.
She said, should I pull over and looked round and you were half out of the car?
She's like, oh crap.
But that was so, I knew her car was new.
I was thinking, oh God, I can't be sick all over it.
Do you know what I mean?
Well, when we did pull over and I just looked, I was like,
you didn't realize how much.
When she dropped me home, I had a little bit of water left.
So I tried to kind of wash it down and it just didn't move.
And I was like, oh my God.
But, yeah, she, I busied him to her a car wash.
And her husband and son had to do it.
Sorry.
But like I say, it's much easier to clean that on the outside.
Yeah, true.
That is true.
Because if it had done it inside, that would have been.
On the way up there, because you were in where her son is.
So the car had car locks.
So I should have to get out and, like, touch the handle.
Yeah, no.
But on the way up there, you had to ask her to unlock the windows.
Again, you have a never panic.
Yeah, because you're like, can I have the windows open?
It's freezing outside, but open the window.
So you had to ask her to unlock the windows on the way there because they were locked.
So obviously, like, luckily, because you waited till the last minute.
I did literally just.
If that window had been locked, her whole car would have been full up was sick.
And then I would, she would never have been my friend again.
But, um.
It was good.
It was a brilliant.
It was good.
But saying that, I was sick the weekend before.
And we thought it might have been food poisoning,
but I reckon it was a bug.
Yeah, like a 24-hour, 48-hour thing.
Well, I literally only threw up for the space of a couple of hours,
like three, four times and then just felt, you know, ill for a couple of days.
Like weak.
But I felt nauseous even on the way up there.
So like that lingering nausea, like that morning sickness feeling.
Well, I didn't know if it was, I still think, again, I'm not 100%,
but the motion of it that the hybrids give,
I think it's that.
Well, you said, the minute she said it was hybrid,
you're like, yep, electric cars.
Yeah.
Do it, like I make you feel sick.
Yeah, it had it in England with the Ubers and that.
But that's the only thing I can think of that it could have been.
It must have been.
I mean, I knew why I felt nausea.
Because I like travelling in cars.
That's the best bit on a long journey.
Yeah.
Just to get all comfy and relax and chat.
Your music or your chat or your sleep,
wherever you are in your journey.
Do you what I mean?
I love that bit.
Yeah.
So, yeah, yeah, no, but it was brilliant.
Yeah, absolutely brilliant.
I really enjoyed it.
It was good, really fun.
Good.
And I'm glad, like, say, we made the thing to do something different.
And it did mean that a couple of friends couldn't come.
Yeah, which was a bit of a shame, but unfortunately, sometimes you can't, if, otherwise we would never have done it.
Otherwise, I would have done the same thing that we do all the time for other people when actually I wanted to do something different for my birthday.
So, yeah, sometimes you just have to be a little bit selfish.
Yeah.
Yeah, but like I say, on my actual birthday,
I'm doing a meal somewhere dinner and drinks locally at some restaurant.
It's going to be a surprise on the day.
Yeah.
But yeah, so there's still a chance to see friends and stuff on my birthday.
But no, I'm glad you made the effort to push to do it.
Yeah.
And I'm really glad we did it.
Because like you say, as adults, you just don't do activities very much.
No.
Maybe on like a holiday or something.
Not for yourself.
But very rarely do we go, oh yeah, that sounds like a bit of fun.
We'll do that.
And I do advise to push to do that more because,
Yeah.
It's just good for you and it's what you should be doing.
You know what I mean?
We're still, even no matter what age you are anyway.
Yeah.
You should do it anyway.
Yeah.
So yeah, Defo.
Defo, good day out, that was.
Good day out.
It was indeed.
And I definitely want to do a quick Mercia alacanti trick while it's Christmasy.
I don't know if this is true that Richard Gears turning the lights on for Mercia.
Some random thing.
Maybe that's not that.
Maybe that's not true then.
I thought I'd read or heard.
Probably dreamt it.
why because I wouldn't even know who Richard
Gear is like
He's an actor right? I know but
that name wouldn't come into my head.
He's more of like an old school like
American actor so he's probably in a lot of films
or it could be fake news you know what it's like but
if you just said like Tom Jones I'm going to have been like maybe
because he's done a few concerts in Mercia yeah but Richard
Gear seems like another level yeah I don't know never know
watch this face then you'll go oh she's not so crazy
read it somewhere
yeah I'm sure I have
But yeah, I'd definitely like to go out there while it's all Christmas.
It's nice and pretty and that.
Cool.
So, right.
Oh, no.
Got my book clip.
Oh, no.
I think we'll do one or two questions to finish us off.
Nice.
Let's do a couple of quick fun ones.
Okay.
What's your tea and coffee order?
Oh, God.
So I drink coffee in the morning and then if I was to have a cup of tea, usually more winter.
It'd be on the night time.
But it has to be with a packet of biscuits.
So you don't have tea if you don't have biscuits.
No, no. Mitch asked last night, do you want, is her biscuit?
He said, no, I said, well, no, then.
And you like a bourbon, don't you?
I like, not one bourbon, Bill.
Of course not.
The pack.
Of course.
So I would genuinely eat the pack.
It depends how big the pack is, but I would like a lot of biscuits.
So my favourite's a bourbon.
Yeah.
That's a good question, actually.
What's your favourite different biscuit?
Bourbon, custard creams.
Yes.
I like a ginger nut.
They're probably my mains.
Yeah.
If I was just to go to.
But my coffee, oh God, I have to say.
Do you have tea with milk?
Yes, I have.
Yeah, I have just...
I have one sugar.
I don't know why, because I only use it to dunk.
You don't drink it.
I do, I do drink it, but I don't...
You probably get enough sugar from the biscuits.
Yeah, that's what I mean, I don't know why I need to put the sugar in it.
I don't know.
I have one sugar in my tea.
And with milk, just a normal tea, like, what would we call it?
A black tea?
Breakfast tea.
Breakfast tea.
But it's not a breakfast tea, because the breakfast tea.
because the breakfast tea of the twinings is awful.
Okay, so like...
Have you ever tried that?
No.
It's, I don't like it, it's minging.
So I just like a...
Is it an old grace?
No, that's even worse.
Okay, I'm just saying things I've heard of.
Yeah.
A PG tips or a tequila or whatever you drink.
Yeah, exactly.
That kind of tea.
So, yeah, that tea with milk.
Yeah.
And actually, I just want to ask another question of this.
It's quite a complete question.
I'm trying to afford.
You're making it so much hard.
That's why I'm thinking of loads of things.
How do you make your tea?
So Liam tends to make me a cup of tea.
So me,
me personally, I would put the tea bag and the sugar in.
I would add the hot water.
I'd then like swirl it, squeeze out the tobacco and then I'd put the milk in.
That's exactly how I would do it.
We made tea together as kids.
There's no other way we'd be able to do it.
But Liam tends to put the milk in.
What?
Yeah.
Because apparently,
I've heard, I've heard this because...
Wait, wait, milk with the tea bag?
Yeah.
But with the tea bag dry?
Yeah.
So he puts the milk in first, which I've heard a couple people say,
because I remember I worked with a guy who did this, and I was like, why?
And it's like, because...
People do, I know they do.
It burns the tea leaves and it makes it taste funny.
I'm like, you don't even drink tea, so...
It doesn't...
You don't know if it burns, it makes it taste funny, and I don't know it's any difference.
That's a lie, because actually, real tea like that should be made in a teapot.
And you put hot water with the tea bag in the teapot without the milk.
And then you pour the tea...
So that's how I make it, but I think Liam makes it a little bit different.
And some people, I don't know, I think this is Mitch, how Mitch does it.
I think, I don't know, I've never watched him because I'm saying, he's making it.
I'm normally on the sofa or a bed.
That's why he's making it me.
But I think, I think, I think he does, like we do it, but instead of taking the tea bag out and then putting the milk in, he leaves it in.
He puts it in, in case he puts too much milk.
Yeah.
Because you make, you can't get the tea bag out if you put too much milk.
I get the reasoning. I get the reasoning.
Yeah.
I get the reasoning.
but I just, I find that weird.
Yeah, it's good planning the heads.
I actually couldn't.
Yeah, I couldn't.
Yeah, I know how I like it.
Yeah, no, that's a bit weird.
But yeah, how do you have your tea?
Yeah, how do you have your tea?
How do you make it?
How'd you like it in the morning?
Yeah, yeah, don't ask that question.
Or the evening.
Yeah, so then, so then that's that.
Why are you long enough your coffee?
I know, it's just black.
It's black.
No, it's black coffee with three sugars.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's why I have.
But no biscuits, no milk.
And one a day.
Well, at a push two a day.
Yeah.
So I'm the same in terms of one a day.
I can't handle any more than one coffee.
It gives me...
Same.
And it makes me race.
Yeah.
But I have a cup of tea first thing in the morning.
Maybe even two later on in the morning.
Especially if I've gone into my office.
It's a bit cold.
Yeah.
Then I'll have like one to warm up.
Yeah.
Or I'll have the odd one in the evening.
Yeah.
Sometimes if I fancy a warm drink, but it's too late for coffee sometimes.
Then I might have a tea.
But I don't tend to.
But how do you have it?
So I have, I used to have milky with free sugars.
Wow, did you?
Yeah, when we were kids I'd have free sugars in my tea.
I remember when you made it with salt.
At your house, I even asked you, I said, is this sugar?
Yes, Bill.
So three lumps of salt I put in my cup of tea, mixed it around.
It was that salty.
It tasted like it was freezing.
Yeah, if no one's ever done that before, when you had it, it's.
taste cold. It's such a weird thing.
You drink something hot and it tastes
cold because it's that fucking salty.
So, yeah.
You have your three, you used to have it. I've actually worked
my way down to one sugar now.
Wow, that is a good jump. Yeah.
That is a really good jump. So I think as soon as
I got into like my 20s, I went to two sugars.
Yeah. But yeah, recently I only have one now.
So I'm down to one sugar, quite milky.
Well, my three sugars have less heaped in my coffee,
if that helps. To like flat ones.
Yeah. They used to be like proper like mounters.
Goops. More like six.
Yeah.
Well, I like a sugary coffee.
So I will have two to three,
depending how strong the coffee is.
Like with the pods that I have on my machine at home,
I can get away with two.
But if I go to like a Spanish place
and they have quite a strong coffee
and I always ask for Cordo de Café.
Yeah.
I used to ask for much leche.
And then he just went, Corto de Caffe.
And I was like, yeah, it sounds easy actually to ask for a little coffee.
Then, yeah, I'd need to.
to have like three sugars in that.
See, I can't have machine,
I don't like machine coffee,
I don't like the,
the pod coffees,
I just like instant.
The actual granules, instant, yeah.
Yeah.
So I like, I'm not fussed,
I like either one really.
My dad makes a really nice one,
but he gets like coffee mate and stuff.
Oh yeah.
And yeah, he makes a really good coffee.
That's like a milk powder, isn't it?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, so that, they're really nice.
But, yeah, so in coffee,
I'll have like one, early afternoon,
tends to be about three, four o'clock,
that final push through the day.
Yeah, so.
And how would you have your coffee?
With two sugars, at least.
At least.
Milky.
So even the milk coffee pods that I get, I put in a bit of extra milk.
Yeah, because they come with, some come with it already milked.
But I do like a nice coffee.
Oh, no.
So the first time I tasted it, I didn't like it.
You have to get it right.
I do like milk.
I love milk.
But I don't like milk in coffee.
Yeah, so yeah.
It's just not the same.
You can't have cold black coffee that'd be gross.
I mean, black coffee's gross.
But I like an iced caramel latte, which is weird because I don't like caramel.
No, you're not a bit of a...
I'm not very caramel-y kind of person.
Like, toffee and all of that.
Don't like any of that.
But the caramel in it, it kind of makes up for the sugar and it gives that kind of...
It's that sweetness.
See, so with that, when I'm trying not to drink coffees and stuff with the sugar,
obviously, because I know I have a lot of sugar.
I know I only have one a day, but I'm quite aware of that with my job.
and I drink a lot of natural honey and lemon.
I went through a stage of doing that.
You couldn't keep that, that could you?
No, you could give me the natural honey?
Keep buying it, you're like, oh, thanks!
I still got the other jar!
So the natural honey and lemon, I love that.
I could drink that over and over.
I actually really enjoy it, but in the morning...
You like your tea?
I like my cup of tea.
It's really hard for me to substitute that.
It's just habit for me.
so I could have that all the time.
But it's just if I haven't got a lemon
or I can't both go and get one of the next door to the tree,
I'm just like, I enjoy drinking it,
but it's not one of those that like, oh yeah, I fancy that.
And I used to, it's just tried to,
it's tried to shift me from having a packet of biscuits with a tea.
Because these two drinks I drink,
and they're not very healthy.
I love a custard cream from the freezer.
Yes, I remember you introducing this to my lot.
Yeah, so Liam's always put biscuits in the fridge,
but they've now escalated to the freezer.
So we've done that for a while now.
Mitch puts jelly sweets in the freezer,
but when Mitch heard about the custard cream.
Yeah, yeah.
So Liam's for a long time,
put sweets and stuff as well.
But yeah, tell him to put his biscuits in the freezer.
No, no, they're my biscuits.
You can have a couple.
So custard creams are pretty much a constant in our house.
When I was pregnant with Kaysen,
I would do a whole packet of milk digestive.
So I don't mind a milk digestive.
Yeah, I like that too.
Custre cream is my go-to.
It's a nice biscuit to dip.
Yes.
Especially frozen because they don't break as easy.
Well, this is, well.
But I don't like biscuits and coffee because Liam will sometimes make me a coffee and be like,
you want a biscuit?
I'm like, no.
No.
I wouldn't be, mine wouldn't do it anyway because there's no milk in it, but do anything.
It'd just be like, yeah.
Like whatever, but yeah, no, I like.
And I was going to say, trying to come away from it with the honey and lemon,
I like a good fruit one, like a fruit tea.
I've tasted one and it was rank.
But I put in honey and lemon in it.
Yeah.
So it's that.
just with a bit of a fruit one.
So when I worked at the estate agency,
like within 20 minutes, half an hour of arriving in the morning,
they would do like a drink order at the bar across the road.
So we'd all get our coffee or whatever.
And at that point, I'd already have my tea,
so I'd have a coffee, like mid-morning.
And my two bosses changed to green tea,
and that's what they would have, like, in the morning and the afternoons.
Yeah, but that is Mingin.
I think that's me personally.
I think that's the one I tasted.
I don't think I tried a fruit one.
I think I tried the, is it Manthenia or what?
That's even worse.
Yeah, so I tasted that.
That's good for digestion.
Which is great for me.
I should really do.
Yeah, and the green tea.
But I just, and I used to have a lavender one to be able to relax to go to sleep.
Yeah.
Instead of having a tea full of caffeine.
Yeah.
Do you get what I'm trying to say?
Because obviously then you're not.
I haven't lived that to me this morning because Hayden is a tea snatcher.
I cannot drink a cup of tea without that child.
I love that.
Back washing half my tea.
So even the other day, Leah made me a second one because he was like I didn't really get my first one.
But he went to me earlier.
like, you know there's caffeine in tea?
I'm like, you try telling him no.
Yeah.
Well, I grew up on tea.
Yeah.
In a stupid cup.
We would even drink it that young, it would be in a bottle.
My brother would have it in a bottle.
Kaysen would have it.
It's funny because for ages my mum
Mention brought up that Kaysen was drinking tea at her house.
And I went, excuse me what?
Not like it was bad, but I was like,
he's never asked me for tea.
But that's how they are.
At my house and he's been drinking tea at hers for months.
So I would try to have a fruit one to change,
but otherwise they would be my orders
and to be honest,
I'd only ever really probably order a tea out
because of I don't like machine coffee.
If anything, I'd order a bum bomb.
Oh, you do order a bum bomb while out.
So I can drink that, but obviously, can you mention...
What's that?
Condensed meal and then coffee,
and then you obviously mix it up,
but it's quite sweet.
Yeah.
So it kind of represents my black coffee in a way.
But it's literally like a shot.
So it doesn't last long.
So if you're sitting and have a coffee,
you've drank your coffee,
and then that's it.
One friend of ours always is.
orders a cup of tea while we're out and I find it really strange. A cup of tea. Yeah.
If we go out for breakfast and for like things like that then yeah order a cup of tea but
we'll be out for like even sometimes later in the day and it's like cup of tea but she's
she loves cup of tea. But that's it and also at the same time there's people who don't drink tea
or coffee we've got friends who don't drink you something and we say so what so when someone
what do you want a squash? Yeah what can I offer you because it's tea or coffee time.
What do you drink when you get up in the morning? A squash.
But that's just
Because we used to have in the hot drinks either
There you go
And when he's ill
He likes a hot black current
Wow
So squash but a hot one
He says it sorts him right out
He can feel really rough
And he'll have a hot black current
And feel so much better
It's probably just the hot drink
To be fair
Yeah
But it's probably that
Yeah
Well I didn't expect that to take up
That long
Answer of a question
But you know what?
Taking coffee is quite a broad
Especially in our houses
When we've got so many different varieties
through English and Spanish habits.
And then, because I was conscious of the caffeine I was drinking
and I was always getting iced coffees when I was out like in the afternoons,
I was with someone because that's what,
you've got to be with someone to try theirs
because you're not just going to order these things out.
True.
You know, so a batcher and iced matcher, the green one.
I've never tried it hot.
Some people drink it hot like a coffee but I've never had a hot one.
So I tried an iced matcher, which was really nice.
Was it?
Yeah.
But it's got vanilla in it.
So I think that's the difference, because I've tried somebody else's,
and it was rank because it tasted literally like mud and grass.
But with vanilla, very different.
Right, well, that took up nearly like probably the whole episode.
Sorry, just ask one more question then.
Just one more question.
All right.
Oh, but a straightforward question leads to a long answer.
Right, okay, quick one.
Have you ever had a girl's holiday?
So, yeah, I've had one with you guys.
I and Apper when we were 18.
And Charm ruined it because she got pregnant just before we went.
Oh yeah, shit.
She did, yeah.
And it was funny, do you remember?
We'd be walking down the street at night, like club hopping
and she'd be throwing up on the street looking like a right, like wrong and drunk.
And she's like, I'm pregnant.
Yeah.
Everyone's looking at like she's a mess.
Yeah.
So you're pregnant and drunk.
That's probably what they thought when she said that.
So I've, yeah, I've done that.
I have done that.
I did Zanty.
Yeah, so you did that.
Was it just before my, yeah, it was before I got married.
And then I was just like, I'm not.
I'm not in the headspace to come.
I've done
I've done other little girls' trips.
I did Essex as a girl's trip.
I met you in Essex once.
I met you there in Essex, yeah.
I've done Magaloof.
Yeah.
The Magaloof.
I've done quite a few actually, actually now,
thinking about it.
Oh, before I had a bag of my chicken,
I already had my children.
Making up for all the holidays you didn't do.
Yeah, so I have had a couple, but the norm.
So I went I beef for my 21st, but with Mitch.
Yeah.
And then I did meet my sister and that over there.
And then the others were like the norms,
like your Magalu, she's aunties, your Ionappas,
the good old, like, you know, back in the day.
Yeah.
Iron Apple was great though.
It was only three of us.
Yeah, it was amazing.
It was meant to be more.
We couldn't get everyone to time.
But so was that and there was three of us.
Yeah, exactly.
Honestly, it was amazing.
It was really good.
It was the frog place, right?
Not fat frog, was it?
No, that's the cocktail.
Senor frog.
Senor frogs.
Send your frogs.
And they had like a zip line, didn't they?
From one...
They had poles in there.
They had poles in there.
They were at the time.
I think I'd done a few pole classes with my auntie because she teaches pole.
So I had a couple moves up my sleeve.
And then I think we were trying to even swing in it on the same time, which I'd never good when you've had a drink.
No.
But yeah, we went there, I think a couple times because it was just nice vibes.
It was just a proper good fun place to go and have a drink and have some fun on holiday,
wasn't it really?
Yeah.
Looking back at the photos
though we look young.
I was just about to say that.
How old were we?
Oh, we went to our friends,
I don't know,
if it was her dad's place or something
or a bar in London anyway before,
the day before we went
because we stayed at her
and got, I got...
We didn't, you got smashed.
I got so drunk
the night before we were leaving.
The whole trip to the airport
was trying not to throw up
in a brother-in-law's car
or whoever drove us to the airport.
And then in there, I was like, I just need a burger.
Yeah, Bill had a holiday before she...
I had a holiday before I had a holiday.
I was like, I just need a cheeseburger
because that's the like, one of the only things I can eat on a hangover is a cheeseburger.
And then we got to the airport, but it was still breakfast and I hate McDonald's breakfast.
And it all smelled very breakfast.
And...
Yeah, so I literally couldn't even eat anything to like take it away.
And the wheel on my suitcase broke.
So it's like, I'm way too hung over to be dragging this case through the airport.
Like, I actually can't function right now.
It was a bit like a film.
you know like what's gonna happen that's probably up there of like top five hangovers like oh that was that was a good good girls trip so yeah
i've done a few i probably think i've done more but are the only ones i can think of at the top of my head they're the
the iron up ones the only one that comes to mind we've done our hendos and things as well love so we've got quite a few of yeah that that yeah that's
yeah they're the only ones marbaia yeah that i can that aren't for a reason that was just a girls holiday
Girls holiday.
We did say we want to book more of those.
We do.
But we did,
the escape room was a good,
it's a good day out.
We're not supposed to go for a couple of hours
and it would be like an 11 hour day.
It was literally like a 4, 11 hour day, yeah.
So it's all right, it was good, worth it.
Yeah.
Love it.
So, yeah, comment below how you drink your tea,
how you make it.
We'll do a little pole, shall we?
Yeah.
Do it, yes.
Let's do a pole.
Do you add the milk before or after?
Mm-hmm.
And the tea bag and the water.
Exactly that, isn't it?
We'll do a little running pole.
Do you do it like us or do you do it differently?
Yeah.
And who puts their biscuits in the freezer?
Yeah.
I think anyone uses a teapot nowadays.
My dad.
Oh, bless.
My dad has to have it.
I love it.
My dad has a little teapot.
My nan, even till recently, I think, uses the one on the stove that whistles.
Yeah, yeah.
I think that's a kettle, though.
I think he has that too.
Yeah.
Like a proper wistly one.
Yeah.
On a gas hob.
Yeah.
And his teapot.
It doesn't take, apparently doesn't taste the same by putting.
in the tea bag in the...
This is shows, isn't it?
What we get used to.
Yeah.
Anyway.
Yeah.
Right, guys.
We'll see you next week.
We will have fun.
Bye.
