feeling.
A one year old.
One years old.
Oh my God.
I actually can't believe
how much that scared me.
Like if you,
when you look back on this,
I actually really fucking fucking shit myself.
Oh my God.
I actually think I just pulled up.
I'm watching me like it was a podcast.
No, I don't know.
I was like this or something and then oh my God.
At least it popped.
Yeah, I was worried it might not pop and it's our only one.
But yeah.
Can you believe?
I'm so glad that we posted the first episode.
on Liam's birthday so that we can really remember when our first anniversary is.
Yes.
So, yeah, happy 31st, 35th birthday to Liam, but first birthday to us.
Yay.
God, can you believe it's been a whole year?
Yes, a whole year.
I can't.
It feels like a couple of months.
Yeah.
And then obviously thinking about what we've done in that time.
Yeah.
I'm amazed.
I am amazed, obviously.
But I'm not because I know what we're like.
Yeah.
and what you're like, but also like, yeah, just how much we have done in that time.
Yeah.
And that it's just, that's it.
It's a year.
A year has passed.
It just goes to show.
Like if we'd have fannied about.
Yeah.
Then we would have just nowhere, been nowhere near where we are now.
But the fact we literally like, you want to do a podcast?
Yeah.
Great.
Right. Equipments arriving.
Yeah.
Let's go.
Yeah.
We'll figure it out along the way.
I mean, Liam's obviously figured out the majority of it with all the bits of bobs.
But yeah, no, I feel like we found our feet
and even I was preparing a game for later
and just actually looking back at all the clips and the episodes.
Like, there's so much.
We've done loads.
Like you say, because we've been consistent
and I think, you know, with how busy lives are,
we've done really well to do like practically,
I think apart from maybe once or twice,
we've done a weekly episode.
We have.
And we've touched a lot of topics that are generally.
usually just rants because that's just how it works with our chats and whatever.
But also obviously things that have picked out whether that's because it's, you know,
in the news or what's going on or, you know, just high, high, you know,
society's on it at the minute, you know.
But also we've got so much more that we can and want to talk about as well,
as well as our community growing.
Yeah.
Like I say it, that kind of came out of this, really.
I don't think I necessarily had envisioned, I think at some point in my career I envisioned like, you know, doing events and workshops and retreats and, you know, on stage and stuff.
But I didn't really envision it to happen with this so quickly and build a community in that sense.
So that's been a nice, like, surprise.
Me too.
I didn't expect that either.
I mean, you didn't even really know what a podcast was because you don't even watch them.
So for me is a bit different because doing a lot of driving like I used to do for work less now.
But back then, I would listen to podcasts all the time.
So I was more of an audio listener than I was visually.
Whereas now I'm at home a bit more.
I do watch more of them on YouTube.
Yeah.
But yeah, you didn't even really know what one was.
No, I didn't.
And it's funny you said that actually because I had, well, a friend who was in the clinic the other day who said with her job, she's driving around a lot.
you know, six to eight to nine hours a day.
So for her, podcasts are just the way forward.
Yay.
Podcasts are the way forward for her, you know,
listening to different ones that she says she listens to
and the same with ours.
Yeah.
And I said before, like with even my brother catching up on what he listens to
and our content as well.
Yeah.
Because he used to do these drives.
But that's changed because he now doesn't drive.
But visually watches and listens.
and so it's nice to hear how different how people listen or watch or you know whatever um but
i've also learned a lot because i'm um yeah like i say i didn't have a clue about podcasting or
anything posting even yeah exactly never really post online at all every week now is like post these
clips so it's so that that's been that's been good that's been nice it's always good to learn something
knew.
And but most of all, which again, like I said, we both wasn't expecting was the community
that's come from it and the ever-growing community that's coming from that as well.
Yeah. We've even had guests that from that. So that's been great because that's been
lovely for us and them and anyone who has been listening as well. So yeah, so yeah, a year.
That's just a year. From literally you saying, right, let's do it. Let's start.
But this is our first time to press record and post kind of thing to now.
How far we have actually come because we're not pros.
Do you know what I mean?
Like I say, nothing's scripted.
We literally turn up and go, right, it's our first.
It's our first birthday.
Let's talk.
That's literally it.
So, yeah, I'm glad it's worked.
I've really enjoyed it.
I'm still enjoying it.
Yeah.
You know, it's not like.
I don't feel like, oh, when is it going to come to an end?
Yeah.
It's not that at all.
Still feels quite new, doesn't it?
I'm actually excited to push it and push us and push the community and, you know what I mean?
And everything about that that comes with that.
So, yeah, I'm happy and proud.
Yeah, no.
And thank you.
Yeah, of course, like, thanks to everyone that does listen and tunes in and likes and
subscribes.
Yes.
Like you say, it means a lot.
And it's, yeah, it's just kind of a fun passion project that's kind of like, say, grown and grown.
And yeah, I'm really proud of where it's kind of got to.
And like I say, we're only one year in.
Exactly.
We're only a baby.
Exactly.
Exactly.
And you did mention it is, we know the date for sure because it is Liam's birthday too.
So happy birthday to him, obviously, as we just said.
But thank you because I definitely, well, we even, you've even said a clip the other day.
One thing went wrong.
or we didn't know what we were doing.
And that was only recorded last week.
A year down the line and we're still like, oh my God, what's going on?
Thank you.
Because not only does he do all the tech stuff and all the social stuff and whatever that also takes,
but he also pushes us and give us that confidence that sometimes we don't have.
Well, I don't think we would have done the community event without him kind of in the background.
You really should, you really should.
Yeah, we will, we will, we will.
but like, no, you really should.
And he's like when then?
Yeah.
It's more of a like, he's really like that.
So, yeah, thank you.
And his job takes a lot longer than ours does.
Yeah.
And a lot, I think a lot more difficult too.
Oh, yeah.
This is easy, like sitting and clipping and lining up the audio with the video
and figuring out when the audio is not worked properly and then putting it all together.
And although that's his thing, and obviously he does enjoy it, still every week or in the week.
Yeah, it's done a lot.
whatever time it is, do you know what I mean?
And the same with the kids, yours and mine,
because whether mine are here and it's him looking after them or Mitch.
So all of it that comes with that.
Well done all of us.
Exactly.
So yeah.
It's a team effort.
It certainly is.
So yeah, moving, moving onwards and upward.
Yes.
What is your proudest moment of the last year?
Oh, I think proudest moment.
I think the event, I think, because I just, because of that community sense for me.
Yeah.
Seeing how women turned up not knowing what to expect.
And put their trust in us.
Put in their trust in us.
And also then seeing it pay off in what our vision was.
Yeah.
it felt bloody good.
Yeah.
You know?
So that for me.
What about you?
That would have been the first thing I would have gone to, would have been the event.
But I think outside of the event, actually just posting and putting yourself out there.
Like, I remember the first few times I posted like on my work page or I'd accidentally posted on my personal Instagram stuff for this.
and I'm like, oh no, quick delete, deli-de-l-l-l-la, like keep it separate.
And then as like gradually just getting used to like, just putting yourself out there.
This is me.
Whatever I've said, however I look, like just putting it out there, not care,
learning to not care about other people's opinions and being consistent.
I think, you know, with just our lives, it's hard work to do this regularly.
Yeah, it is.
And that's what I mean.
So, like you say that this is.
me in terms of what we listen to and watch and be inspired from wouldn't happen if those
people didn't put it out there. Yeah. You know, so if we or others from our community and so
on don't do that. Yeah. How can others like and enjoy and be inspired? Yeah. And da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
Yeah. So it's that, you know. So yeah, that's a good point actually because it's something that,
I probably wouldn't have really thought of.
Yeah.
But I should be and we should be.
Yeah.
You know, because it isn't.
And I was even at dinner last night with one of the ladies that I work with who came to our event.
And we were just saying, you know, how great it is when you're around women that you're similar to that are on that, you know, wavelength that are inspiring that, you know, want more just that interesting conversation.
like it just like motivates you so much.
It drives you a bit more.
Really you feel so much more empowered and driven and excited.
And excited for like the next step and confident and all those things.
And it's like I wanted that and obviously it doesn't exist here.
So we created it.
So yeah, hats off that we've created that space and everyone can like have that feeling.
Yeah.
And already we have such a good.
group of women in in the community and I just know that it's going to grow and grow and
we are all going to benefit from that yeah you know we are all going to benefit from anything
and everything that comes with it because there are so many things yeah that come from from that
community so yeah it's exciting what's been your or the biggest challenge you felt doing the
podcast oh challenge i wouldn't say
Do you know what?
You struggled with or...
Nothing really.
I thought it would be talking.
Because, again, I don't even post a selfie or video of anything just because I just don't.
I don't know.
I just don't even have my phone.
So just feeling awkward and not being able to...
But I didn't actually.
It's so weird how comfortable I am because it's so how I just ignore everything and just
it's you and it's us and it's the other women.
I don't know.
I feel like they're there or with us or we agree.
It's weird, isn't it?
When we're talking like this, yeah.
So, and again, I thought it would be having, I don't mean it like that, you know,
having to do it, be consistent with it.
Because at the end of the day, we have to be.
Like we said, we've done so well in doing it.
It is every week thing and sometimes more.
Yeah.
And not just that.
When events happen, it's other things as well, you know.
So, and I thought it would be that.
Yeah.
You know, like we've always said that, you know, if there's ever a time,
we're not going to make us feel like, oh, or, you know, oh, we've got to go and do this
or, you know, it's taking us away from anything else.
And it hasn't.
Yeah.
It hasn't felt like that.
No.
It's, I don't know, to be honest.
It's a hard.
They have all the things that I thought would struggle with.
Yeah.
But it hasn't been a struggle.
Yeah.
You know, sometimes there's a bit of, you know,
more organising
because whether we've got to do an extra day
just because that's just light.
So it's not
yeah yeah yeah but I wouldn't say it's a struggle
no do you know what I mean?
No like when we first spoke about it
and we were like right so are we going to do it weekly
like right okay yeah we'll do it weekly
yeah I didn't think that would be able to stay
I did think especially like coming up to it
I think I even said like should we
we have to do a year
or we have to do like 50 episodes to like
you know really give it a go
And yeah, no, I thought the same thing.
I thought, like, after a while it's going to be like really difficult
and really feel like, oh, I'm just not in the mood today.
And sometimes it has been that and we've done it anyway.
And we've told you all that's how we feel.
And I feel great after.
Yeah, that's what I mean.
Actually, a lot of the time when you know, whether it's your due on
or you've got loads going on or just had a shit day at work or whatever it is.
And sometimes we do come in like, oh, just feeling it today.
Yeah.
By the time you walk out, it's actually like, I don't want it's when it's went, really.
I feel loads better.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I literally today, I said to you, didn't I?
I was just like, oh, come on.
And now, as soon as now I know I'm on, and now I get all the pains, weird, isn't it?
Like, it just appears, like, oh, you know, because you know.
Yeah.
I was like, oh, I feel really sorry for myself, my belly's hurting.
And don't get me wrong, it is now, but I don't know how I just feel better.
Must be the WKD.
Yeah.
But yeah, no, it is.
So in terms of the struggle, I don't know, is there anything that you feel like you've struggled?
Because at the end of the day, let's get it real.
In terms of a lot of, you know, the detailed stuff, Billy is more, you know.
So I don't know if is there anything in that way that you've struggled.
No, like you say, the odd time just trying to line up calendars and squeeze it in
and sometimes it is late in the evening and, you know, we're running into like Kinners dinners dinners.
Dinner and stuff like that.
So sometimes it's not the most convenient time.
But that's not, like I say, that's the odd time.
And generally we were able to line up quite well.
So yeah, not really.
I think every now and then sometimes like topics to pick
because we want to keep it fresh, we want to keep it interesting.
And real.
And so sometimes it, you know, can pull a blank for what should we talk about.
But most of the time, like I say, it's pretty good.
So there's not really actually been anything that's been a real,
struggle.
Yeah, no.
No, no.
Not like, oh, it's a struggle.
But I think we've definitely got better at it.
Yeah, we have.
We have.
Even a friend of ours was like, oh yeah, like after a couple of months like, yeah,
you're so much more relaxed than it now.
And actually going back preparing for this game, I was like, yeah, the first few
episodes were a little bit stiff.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, this is what I mean.
I think we've just really, I just think we've really done well, to be honest.
I think it is a moment of patting on the back.
Yeah, I think, like I said, the consistency, like, doing guests, like, doing events, like, there's just so much, like, and like you say, it does take, because even my friend yesterday was like, how many hours a week do you actually, like, have to spend to do it all?
And it's like, it does add up a little bit.
When you put it together, then yeah.
But it's not, it's something that you enjoy doing.
It is, it is different.
It's not a chore.
And, yeah, like you say, sometimes it's like, oh, right, right, okay, I could, I would prefer just to be.
be here and do this today and get this done. But no, I'm going to do this. And that feels good because
I've got that done. And when I'm there, it's exciting, you know, and it's not, I wouldn't say
it's a struggle. Yeah. You know what I mean? I think because, you know, for maybe a bit of advice,
for anyone that works with their friends, I think just respecting each other's kind of time and, you know,
what they've got going on. Because there are days where it's like, you know, I'll come if you need me to
come, but today's really not that great. Yeah. Fine. No problem. Or like, we'll do a couple of
or, you know, if we really have to miss a week, you know, we'll miss a week.
But we're not going to do it to the point where it does become a chore.
But now I think, I think enjoying it still a year later is really good.
Yeah, that is something to be proud of too.
And again, I'm just, I am really excited for what else is to come.
We do you want to hear some audience questions?
Yes.
I think I asked a little poll earlier the other day and we've got a couple of questions.
So I'll read a couple.
Have you had fun?
Most definitely.
Yeah.
I didn't, like again, when I said the things that I thought I'd struggle with,
you know, that don't make it fun, does it?
But obviously I haven't.
And there's so many times when we've obviously either spoke about past
or whether it's my old life, old life, you know, young, you know, history,
even whatever and yours or together.
and then memories that come up, that's going to laugh or bloopers, obviously.
Yeah.
And just, again, the just the general excitement of coming in and talking and doing what we do
and how it all comes together, I suppose.
I must admit, I got like lost in preparing this game just because I was watching
and just remembering like all the memories that we were talking about.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's been really good stuff that stories that I probably would never even tell you in our life together just because they don't come up.
Yeah.
But like by doing this and like the conversation going one way or the other, it unveils, yeah, reveals things that you wouldn't normally tell each other.
Exactly. Even that, like even all the years we've known each other. And also as well as that, like you say, new to this year, we're having guests.
So it's, that's fun as well.
Yeah.
Hearing about their stories and their visions for what they want to do and, you know, opinions and experiences.
That's fun and it's, it's exciting to, no, obviously we want more of that too.
You know, it's just all fun.
I think it's all fun.
Even coming here with the kids, mine, that Lexi would get the right on if she can't come.
Do you know what I mean?
And it's all to do with this really, you know?
So, yeah.
It has been a lot of fun.
I think it's actually been more fun than what I thought.
I thought it was going to be something that would be really nice to look back on.
You know, nice memories kind of archived and it would be...
Or feel like a job.
Yeah.
You know, like, oh, we have to do like...
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A little bit...
Not that we were super serious.
But yeah, I thought it would be a little bit more of like a job in.
kind of serious, whereas actually I feel like it's been a lot more fun than what I thought it was going to be.
So, yeah, we have had fun.
Thanks for asking.
Next question.
Are you having more guests on the show?
And if so, what type of people are you looking for?
How weird did you said that?
Because I just said about it.
Yeah.
I would hope so.
Yes.
The plan is to, ideally, I'd like to have a guest every month.
Yes.
You know, if more people, you know, contact us.
us and we get more than one a month and we'll post more than one.
But yeah, I think we're definitely going to do more ghosts.
Guests.
Bell don't.
Sorry.
More guests alongside us.
So that just means more content and stuff.
People only say things like that for a reason.
It's come out for a reason.
So, yeah, more guests for sure.
I definitely want more guests.
So anyone that is interested, all you have to do is DM,
DM Charlotte, DM me, DM the Rising 1111, and contact us and we will, yeah, talk about it.
But in terms of what type of guests we're looking for, women with something to say,
I don't think there's a specific one type of women that I want every month.
I think that would be boring.
I think women that, you know, do find it easy talking on camera.
It obviously helps.
We want it to be natural.
People that are willing to open up, share their personal struggles, their personal stories.
Be real, be honest.
Yeah, real and honest women.
And, yeah, people that have got something going on,
you know, whether you're a mum, whether you have a career,
whether you have both, you know, there's no, you don't have to be a mum,
you don't have to be, you know, a corporate woman.
But just someone who's got stuff going on has dreams, has plans,
is, you know, making things happen or, you know, wants to make things happen.
Yeah.
Or has gone through stuff.
I was going to say, or has had, you know, this big experience
or from that, this huge,
life change.
Yeah.
You know, I want to hear about it.
So I'm sure it is.
And what did, you know, and what did you do from that?
And da-da-da-da-da.
So if you've got something that you've gone through that other women, you know, might be going through that would help them, then fantastic.
Life, home, business, relationships, yeah.
Anything, you know?
So, yeah, I, the answer to that is, yeah, I would love to have more guests.
Yeah.
Love, love to.
So I'd like to hear from you guys.
Yeah.
I'd love to.
Get in touch, ladies.
So.
And don't be shy because just as, just when you said about,
if someone said, when you said about being comfortable in the, in front of the camera,
obviously I would have listened to that first off, not done it before.
I'd be like, okay, that's not the way.
Yeah.
But if not, just even just think about it and even just come and try because actually,
once you are here, my voice is going.
It's the ghost.
Once you are here, well, I tell you saying,
for someone who doesn't take pictures of record selves,
you never like that, you forget.
Once you're chatting, you literally forget.
Honestly, it is true.
You forget that you're on camera.
Yes, you do.
Yes, you do.
No, you're right.
Like, you don't have to be confident in doing it and have experience,
but just be able to open up and talk.
Yes.
Like, knowing that it's going to be,
be nervous.
It's going to be out there.
You know, the guests that we've had so far have been nervous, but they've loved it.
They did.
And they were great.
Yeah.
They were so great.
And that, I'm proud of that too and them.
So, yeah, that I'd love, I would love to have more guests.
I'd love to have more of the ladies.
Especially the ones from the community.
If you are supporting us there and you've been to the workshops and you're coming to
the future ones and, you know, you comment, you like, you subscribe, you're supporting us.
Then, you know, we want to return the favour.
have you on. Yeah. And I know actually that all of you have got something to offer. Yeah.
To chat about here. So that's, that's a, that's a definite to, to all the ladies at the
event who haven't been here already. Yeah. And for, for, for, for for a guest podcast that,
that that actually is to you especially because we know for sure that you've got, um, loads to
offer, loads to chat about. And it's, you know, everyone would love to listen to it.
What we were talking about with the last guest, whose episode will be at Sue, saying, you know, there are women out there that don't support each other.
And a lot of the time you can see your friends just scrolling straight past your business and not support it.
Like, we want to encourage women to support each other.
And they're the kind of women that we want.
So, yeah, if you are a supporter of ours and, you know, you're out there, high-fiving women and what is it, fixing their crowns.
Exactly.
Then they're the type of women that we want on.
So sure.
We're not in the playground now people.
Let's do the game.
Oh, game time.
I like this.
We haven't done game for ages.
I know.
We started with games.
I feel like it's nice that we're doing it now.
Yeah.
Our anniversary.
Because we did, we did used to do games on.
We did.
We did.
So I took like a sentence from one of our previous episodes.
Like, well, about 50% of our previous episodes.
And then all you have to do is.
tell me if I said it or you said it.
Okay.
Some of these are obvious and I just have to put them in there for like the memory.
Okay.
But some of them you might not know.
Okay.
I really want to do good.
We're not boycott in Valentine's Day.
You?
Yes.
I don't think I'd use that word.
I was like, where's my bike?
Me!
Yeah.
I got my bike rod.
Porn is not real life.
Don't expect that from a girl.
Me.
I stand.
buy that to you little fuckers who said I was playing or whatever you fucking said.
You went viral on our TikTok.
Yeah, you can fuck off, you're lonely little pricks.
You want to see me.
I ain't plain.
Sorry, babe.
I'm really cheap and easy, aren't I?
Oh, I'm really cheap and easy, aren't I?
I feel like I could have said that, but I feel like it was you?
No, it was you.
Was it me?
Oh, it's something I would say about you said it.
It's because we were talking, I think, about Valentine's Day or first days and stuff.
And you were like, yeah, just, you know, just, I don't need a fancy dinner or a hotel.
Like, yeah, I'm cheap and easy.
Oh, I love this day.
I nearly killed myself doing an Easter hunt.
I don't think I have.
I'm going to say, it's you.
Yeah.
Yeah, that was this year when I broke my toe and scraped myself up from head to turn.
That's just about this.
Do you know why?
Because I was, is that the one where, where Liam, what?
watched you on the camera.
No.
No, but I saw that.
That was when we had strong winds after one of the kids' birthdays.
It might have even been after the Easter,
and I was trying to hold the canopy down,
and he's watching me put it in case into bed,
like nearly getting blown out of the garden.
No, this was probably around the same time
because it was windy in the grass.
Yeah, I went flying.
I was absolutely battered a bruise.
Oh, God, yeah, you was it going.
Sometimes it can open your eyes to how,
selfish, your close ones are.
Ooh, I'm going to say that was me.
Was I on a me?
Yeah, it was going to.
Zina ran that day.
I think we were talking about weddings, actually.
Oh, okay.
And people getting involved with their opinions.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Mom, I'm rich. I've got Bitcoin.
You?
Two guesses who I was talking about.
Mine wouldn't even know what it is.
I have to kick off with a confession.
Oh, you.
Yeah, that was me.
What was your confession?
I can't remember now.
Oh, no.
I can't remember.
Oh, no, I do remember.
That was when we done the wedding episode
and I completely forgot about my mum cutting her dress up.
Yeah.
Yeah, so that was a confession.
I really love this game.
I really love it.
It took me hours just to pick me back because I was just watching all the video.
It's like going for old photos.
It was, that proper reminiscing.
I looked down and I see a cloth inside of the car door.
Oh, my God.
That's me.
My driving test.
If you haven't watched that episode, go back and find it
because Charlotte makes a complete tit of herself.
God.
I feel like I need to find that.
And it's hilarious.
And I only know that story from this podcast.
You've never told me that before.
That exactly.
Like you said, I feel like I need just to find that driving director
because I just feel like, how?
How did you sit there and just keep me straight face?
I would have been crazy.
I would have been out to breathe.
I would have been like, ooh.
I bet he still tells that story to friends.
I hope so because I do because, oh my goodness me.
Yeah, that was me. That was me.
Micro habits and micro commitments are what change your life.
Billy, for sure.
Yeah, that's a neat quote.
That's a devil.
That's like a tattoo billy.
I said nice.
What do you mean nice?
That's not a compliment.
Well, actually, Liam said the word nice, but that came from Billy.
Yeah, that was me talking about that.
I love how that whole conversation.
That whole thing came into my house.
That whole thing came into so many people's households.
Do you know that?
Nice?
You've just used nice?
Yeah, I bet loads of women have gone home now and now that's...
Drop the mic.
When I've finished yet, wait.
What's next?
Oh my God, I love gel pens.
Do you all smell?
That's me.
I love to...
Is it me?
Yeah.
Okay, it's me.
I do.
If it's not, I love them too.
Yeah, no, you said it about Lexi's.
And then Lexi was like, what do you mean, do they smell?
Yeah.
They don't smell anymore.
Like, that was the best bit about gel pens.
I felt like I'm going to.
I feel like I need to tell the story, but obviously we've already told the story.
You know, because I had gel pens and my favourite one was the bumblegun one.
And my niece used it one time and coloured in a whole picture.
Oh, and used all the ink.
Yeah.
Right, let me make sure this is back on before Leon moans at me.
There we go.
Yeah.
I've always got a shandy in the fridge.
You?
Definitely.
Yeah, I think I've known.
If you didn't, I'd have the um.
This is why when you opened it.
I was like, oh, I've already told him herself.
And she literally just came up to be like this.
Is this mate you a birthday?
Yeah.
Actually, that word.
Happy birthday.
Exactly.
It's not a WKD.
It's definitely a shardy.
So you need to be sponsored by Schmidt and I need to be sponsored by Radlitz.
Yes.
Even Hayden knows now.
He looks for him when I come in.
Yeah.
Where's the shaky thing?
My hand's clamped up.
I think I'm having a stroke.
That's you actually having a panic attack.
Yeah.
In the bank.
Yeah.
In the bank.
Exactly.
And again, I wouldn't have known that story.
Yeah, see, I thought I would have said that.
And I know that inside out now.
Because of me, though.
It's so, not because of me.
Obviously, you didn't have a penny that because of me.
No.
The thought of you initially thinking you were, your appendix was first in.
It was for me.
That's because you told me that story.
So I started watching tennis.
Me.
Oh, I forgot about that.
And Lexington called you pathetic.
She did.
Pathetic.
Oh, do you know what?
Tennis is, well, I enjoyed it.
Last year anyway, who knows.
We'll see if you're into it, but you've got them to time.
God, you must be getting old.
I know, but it was good.
Once you get into it, it was quite, okay, it's a bit like that.
And long, some of them can be so long.
I didn't realize how long tennis was.
No, but yeah, I enjoyed it.
I did.
She's like Chandler from Friends.
Nobody knows her job.
Billy, for sure.
You are a friend's geek.
It definitely wouldn't be me.
I think I was actually talking about Shawnee said to her friend,
A friend asked her what I do for work and she was like, yeah, nobody actually knows what she does.
That actually initiated you explaining it, I think.
Yeah, I think you actually asked me on one of the podcasts.
What is your job?
Can you just, for me too?
Can you just explain what you do?
It's not the destination, it's the journey.
Billy, for sure.
That is a definite tattoo.
That's a me quote.
I've got a wine.
Dad's babysitting their own children.
Oh, I feel like you said it.
You said it, but we had the conversation about it.
Yeah, I said that and then we went on and spoke about it.
Yeah, because then I was like, baby sitting.
Yeah, exactly.
I'm sick to death of things not being in the shop.
Me and I still am.
Yeah, you're definitely on a round like that.
I still am.
Bloody sin.
I have to order it in the shop to even touch it and look at it.
Goodness.
me why there's so many cues when there's nothing in there um they go mom i love you and you just
want to go oh fuck off i said it but i don't think i actually said it i think i was quoting somebody
else although i probably have said it no it's like when you're like thinking to yourself oh just
fuck off and leave me alone yeah just go away please oh you changed that that was very polite of you
Um, I'm always watching.
That was you.
And now, now, Kason.
Yeah, Kaysen says that all the time now.
And they still do, trust me.
Yeah, they don't always think they're not.
I know.
I actually, before our kids thought you were just exaggerating that they are always watching.
But no, it's true.
Yeah, people think I am paranoid.
I am, I have now one adult child.
That doesn't make sense.
But you know what I mean?
Yeah.
And yes, they, they, they, they, they, they,
and yeah the worst is when they grass you up in front of people yeah you have to be like
your eyes could pop out your head yeah yeah um when do we ever celebrate people starting businesses
you yeah i said that and it's true yeah we were talking about like we have baby showers
we have birthdays and anniversaries and we celebrate a lot like valentine's day
Galentine's Day, loads of extra things, but we never have business.
No, which is our daily things.
Which is something that we all need to, you know, live in one respect to another.
And we put so much into, too.
Yeah.
We do.
That's the hardest bit.
It is.
I get a birthday every year.
Like, Valentine's Day comes around every year.
Like, but when you start in a business, that's when you need the support.
Yeah, I do. I agree, yeah.
The 100 hour rule, 18 minutes a day and you will be 95% better than the way.
world. Billy.
You sure?
A million percent sure.
Yeah.
It's a good info quote.
Yeah.
I love that one actually.
I love that one too because it actually...
18 minutes a day.
Yeah. Yeah. It is nothing.
It is nothing.
Do you know how many times I do this to myself when there's like...
You know, like, okay, I've got a dishwasher, but you know like stuff that you've actually
got to wash up.
And it just piles up and I'm just like, oh, God, psych.
And literally, I think once I tined myself in doing it or like, looked at the clockboard
before I've done that before.
And it was like...
And it was nothing.
Enting and reloading the dishwasher.
That is the one thing that I hate doing is unloading and then reloading the dishwasher.
It literally takes no more than 10 minutes to do both.
Exactly.
So, yes.
Anything, I mean, that's just, that's just stupid things.
We have to do them.
I mean, the things that, you know, will really help you grow.
I mean, you've got to wash your dishes, people.
Yeah.
But, you know, like other stuff.
It just shows, doesn't it?
18 minutes.
Little push to.
one thing every day.
And can be consistent with it.
And 95% better.
So, like, that's it.
If you want to be good at something,
I think...
Look how quick this last year's gone.
Well, yeah, exactly.
I think that.
I think I'm going to...
I'm going to put it into the universe.
I wasn't going to say it.
If I don't say, I don't have to do it.
I have said it a few times at home.
I want to learn a language now.
I'm going to...
Because that's maybe something...
Really?
Yeah.
That's different for you.
Yeah.
But I think I can.
I think I can do it because it's like an app thing, isn't it now?
Yeah.
So, yeah, I think that's what I'm going to try and do.
What language?
Russian.
Because I work with a lot of Russian.
So I'm already familiar with the language and work there coming up three years.
No, you are.
Yes.
No, you have not.
I have been self-employed for, yeah, three years in April.
I would have said a year and a half max.
Same.
Oh, my God.
Three years.
I know.
That's crazy.
I can only say hello and goodbye.
I'm Russian.
I can say a bit more now
but yeah
like
yeah so that was
you know when something
really frustrates you
yeah
I can you know when you see
with certain older people over here
with the Spanish
and I don't get it
because I speak it
it's so weird
is that I don't think we realise
I say how lucky we are
but in a way yeah
because we just kind of
yeah
picked it up to me
and and yeah
so I get really frustrated
when I can't communicate
with my patients
and I have to get someone to translate
it really frustrates me
yeah
So, yeah, why not start there?
Wow, I love it.
Yeah.
Love the New Year's resolution.
We're still in January.
Yeah, I've got five.
Just.
First of February tomorrow.
Waits on November.
I'll just get started.
I'm only joking.
18 minutes a day, Shire.
I know what I mean.
That's why I said it.
That's why, yes.
It'll take 18 minutes a day.
Yeah, exactly.
I don't have patience for these kids right now.
Oh, I'm going to go you because you've got younger ones.
That was being.
I'd text that to Liam once when he left to go to work.
Yeah, we have all been there.
And don't feel guilty.
Yeah.
Don't feel guilty.
Don't feel guilty.
Just don't feel guilty.
Just go lock yourself away.
Just take yourself away from everyone and everything.
I've actually seen that on like Instagram and Facebook.
You know, like the kids play pens that you like put like small kids in so they can't get out.
Like put yourself in it and leave the kids outside and then they can't get to you and touch you.
Like this is actually what it's for is to lock yourself away.
This is it.
Exactly.
I'm pooing myself.
Yay, me.
That was me.
That was definitely me.
I'm sure there's a lot of you out there who have done that too.
If you know the story, okay?
That just sounds like I'm just shit myself.
Which I didn't, by the way.
I was giving birth.
Yeah, that was me.
That was me.
You'll have to go and watch the episode, right?
All the things we've spoke about on this pod, yeah.
You guys really need to go about there.
There's some real good stuff.
stuff in here.
Last one.
He's not your real dad.
Oh, you?
I was thinking, what the fuck?
God, that took you a while.
I know, because I was like, what?
I was really trying to work it out.
That was another classic.
That was another classic story.
That was, was that not the lie?
No, what was that?
That was when my mum made up a whole lie and then her friend called her and she forgot
to tell me that she told me a lie and I went to school the next day.
That was it.
That was it?
Why?
Because you know why?
Because it's just sort of like, he's stenders or thing.
All that.
He started your own dad.
I'm your mother.
You're not my mother.
Yes, I am.
Oh, God.
So, no, that was great.
I loved that.
I loved that.
Hopefully you've enjoyed recapping a year's worth of episodes with us.
Yeah, thank you for joining us and sticking with us for the year.
So what does year two have?
Oh, I think more rants.
More inspiring quotes.
Yeah, there's always going to be more quotes.
There's always going to be more rants.
Definitely more like memories of like things that have happened.
Those stories are so funny.
Stories coming out, definitely.

and probably a few surprises.
Yeah.
I like that.
More gross.
More growth.
Yeah.
That's what it's all about.
Which will bring surprises along the way.
Trust me.
