Today we begin praying five mysteries, our final step of building up the decades before we move to the full rosary. As we walk through each set of mysteries, we use our now-strengthened meditation muscles, moving from one mystery to the next, following the story of Jesus’ childhood and Mary’s fiat. And so this is our last step of the building up of the decades. The next phase will be adding the prayers at the front and the end in praying the whole rosary. But today we'll begin praying each of the mysteries of the joyful mysteries, all five decades. Let us begin in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The first joyful mystery is the enunciation. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallow be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, amen.
