The Russell Brunson Show - Come Hang Out Backstage! My New Platform (and the First-Ever Q&A) | #Marketing - Ep. 136

Episode Date: July 13, 2026

I have millions of followers across every platform… and when I go live, maybe 150 people actually see it. Back in the Periscope days, I’d hit “go live” and five or six thousand people would sh...ow up instantly, and we’d just hang out — that’s how I really built this community. Then the algorithms changed and quietly took that away. So I built my own way around it. I’m recording this from Bear Lake on our family reunion, and I want to pull back the curtain on something new I built called Backstage Pass — a platform where you follow me, and the second I go live you get pinged and we hang out, no algorithm in the middle. To show you what it’s like, I’m sharing the very first Backstage Pass Q&A, where I answered real questions from real people about offers, pricing, high-ticket, and AI. Think of it as coming backstage after the show to just ask me anything. Key Highlights: ◼️How to pick an offer when you’re scared to commit — why your offer isn’t “till death do us part,” and how to test one that won’t handcuff you (plus Eileen Wilder’s brilliant two-day-event model) ◼️Why you should put out offers even when they might bomb — I’ve had several flop this year and you’d never know, because nobody is watching as closely as you think ◼️The real difference between low, mid, and high ticket — it’s not new frameworks, it’s the experience (the airplane-seat analogy), with Brooke Castillo’s “Model” as the case study: one idea sold as a free podcast, a $300-a-month membership, and an $18K certification ◼️The introvert’s secret to “introducing yourself” online — stop walking up to people; do such cool work that they come to you ◼️Straight answers on what’s next — Overskill, AI Secrets, the Offer Secrets book, and why Funnel Hacking Live AI is the last time we’ll ever do anything like it Here’s the bigger idea underneath all of this: the platforms you rent attention on can change the rules any time they want — and most creators just accept it. The move is to build a direct line to your own people, the thousand true fans who actually want to hear from you. That’s exactly why I built Backstage Pass. And it’s the same question I’d put to you about your own business: if the algorithm shut you off tomorrow, could you still reach the people who matter most… or are you building on land you don’t own? ◼️BACKSTAGE PASS: Russell built his own live platform so he can hang out with his audience without fighting the algorithm — follow him, keep notifications on, and the moment he goes live for a Q&A, you’re in the room. Starting point is 00:00:00 Do you have a funnel, but it's not converting? The problem 99.9% of the time is that your funnel is good, but you suck at selling. If you want to learn how to sell so your funnels will actually convert, then get a ticket to my next selling online event by going to sellingonline.com slash podcast. That's selling online.com slash podcast. This is the Russell Brunson show. What's up, everybody? This is Russell. And if you are watching this on Spotify or any video platforms, you can see that right now, I'm not at home.
Starting point is 00:00:30 I'm not at the office and it's some beautiful place. This is a place we go to every year called Bear Lake. That's part of a family reunion. And we come up here and we serve for me, have fun. And it's amazing. So anyway, I want to drop you a quick message because before I left for this trip, I did something really cool.
Starting point is 00:00:45 And you probably missed it. And you probably don't know that it's a thing or how to get involved with it. And I want you to be part of this. So I'm working on trying to solve a problem. I feel like we have it in the market right now, which is getting access to our customers. been able to go live to them.
Starting point is 00:01:01 You know, back in the day, I would click live on, um, on Facebook or on Periscope. And instantly five or six thousand people would show up and we have these fun conversations. And I loved it. So I'd go live, man, three or four times a week. And I think that's how I really built such a strong connection with our community. And then fast forward to later, Facebook and all these places change algorithms. And now I go live and, you know, 150, 200 people will show up despite the fact that I have literally millions of people following me.
Starting point is 00:01:28 So it's kind of crazy. kind of drives me crazy. And so we're trying to solve that problem. I'm building a platform called Backstage Pass, which is really cool. And it's not live right now, so you can't sign up no matter what, but I'm using it as a way to connect with you, my audience, and my friends. And so, yeah, I started testing this week. So right before I left on this trip, I went live, and everyone who subscribed to it,
Starting point is 00:01:50 who's downloaded the app, they got a notification, and two minutes later, we were up there live and I did Q&A for like, I don't know, 30, 40 minutes. And it was so much fun and so, I just missed that. I miss that a lot. So I'm gonna start doing these like at least once or twice a week. I'm not sure at date and time yet. I'm pretty soon to formalize this. It's always happening every week at the same time.
Starting point is 00:02:06 But it's a chance for me and you to hang out in a very informal setting and ask questions. Just like if you were to come my house and hang out, that's what we're called the backstage pass. It's like coming backstage behind, you know, at one of the events, you see me on stage, you know, doing these presentations, but then come backstage and we can hang out and ask questions. And it's going to be really special.
Starting point is 00:02:21 So I'm excited for it. Anyway, in the future, I'm not going to be sharing these any other platform besides the backstage pass. But I thought, you know, for a lot of you guys who don't even know about it yet or don't even know what exists. Maybe I'll share a couple of these just to get you excited and make you want to come hang out in the future. So what you do, all you do is after this episode,
Starting point is 00:02:39 go to backstagepass.com slash Russell Brunson. And it's just like a social network, you're going to follow me there. Go follow me, boom. And I've downloaded the app. And that way in the future, every time I go live, also you'll get a notification and you'll show up and we'll hang out. And it'll be special. It'll be a kind of really cool spot for us to get to know each other
Starting point is 00:02:55 and get your questions answered live and hopefully serve you guys. And yeah, I'm looking forward to it. So that's game plan. So all you do, go to Backstagepass.com slash Russell Brunson. And with that said, I'm going to load up the first ever QA show from Backstage Pass.
Starting point is 00:03:09 And hopefully, hopefully you guys enjoy it. You get some ideas. And if you want me to answer your questions, just go ahead and over to Backstagepass.com slash Russell Brunson. All right, that said, hope you guys enjoy this episode. As you guys know, we worked on this really cool platform
Starting point is 00:03:23 called Backstates Pass for the last little bit. And we thought, you know, to make this legit, based on what I envisioned this originally, it's all about going live a lot with your audience, with your people, with your 1,000 true fans, backstage, hanging out with them. And so that's kind of what's happening here.
Starting point is 00:03:40 I still can't see comments. My team's working on all the things. Hopefully here in a second, we'll be able to flip around. I'll have a chance to be able to see everybody. But I'm excited to be here at the eyes. Basically what we're going to be doing is, again, this is like just hanging out. Backstage.
Starting point is 00:03:54 A lot of you guys submitted questions, which is kind of cool. So I printed out all the questions you guys have, We'll probably also do some Q&A here if we have some time live as well. At least I'm hoping so. So they're still trying to get the thing working so I can see all your guys' comments. But you know how it works. We test things a million times and you go live the first time. It's close to perfect but not quite.
Starting point is 00:04:13 So anyway, I'm excited to hang out with you guys for the backstage pass live. The game plan is to start doing these consistently, and I'm curious based on what's like best time for you guys if I if I oh I see a comment we just like flip the screen maybe then I can just see that way okay it says chat's open for everyone now can you guys if you see if you can chat now say what's up in the comments all right this is good okay congratulations I can see some stuff okay very very cool okay all right
Starting point is 00:04:46 we're we're in countless is officially live now what's going on everybody so how many guys have interacted on backstage past so far I know that we ran it for the back the back end of some of the challenges we've done for a couple of the things, but we really haven't used it yet for what the game plan was. The game plan was, you know, right now you think about social media, like, I'm on probably like you guys, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, threads, all the different things and kind of our ability to communicate is based on the algorithm, which is frustrating because I've got millions of followers and I click a button to go live and the only
Starting point is 00:05:18 people that I go live to are the people the algorithm decides to notify it, which is very frustrating. And so I thought it'd be more fun to build a platform where if you want to hang out with a creator or me, maybe just come back here. And then when I go live, we can hang out. And so this is the backstage past in my social world. And so this is less Russell scripted and more just like us hanging out, doing Q&As and things like that. You guys are already asking me to speak slower? Come on now. We're just get, I am talking slow. It's going to get a lot faster from here. I apologize in advance. Can you guys see my face? Someone said that it's a black screen. I want to make sure you guys can. Yeah, Lucy said it is.
Starting point is 00:05:56 slower. Okay, cool, you guys can see me. All right. Well, yeah, so I'm excited. My goal and my job with, uh, not my job, but my goal with the backstage pass is just to be able to build, you know, a closer bond with you guys. Back when we first built click funnels a decade ago, there was a little app called, um, not perplexity. What was it called Periscope? And I would click live on periscope, but instantly it'd be three or four thousand people would jump on. I would talk to people and, and, uh, it was so much fun. and we communicate and there's games we play and like it was the coolest thing and nowadays I go live and you get you know hardly anyone shows up and so My goal is to build this over time and get more of you guys coming and I'm gonna try to figure out some set times right now
Starting point is 00:06:38 This summer my life's kind of crazy this summer so we have family vacations and stuff so I'm not picking a set time soon Yeah, but my plan is picking like a set time where twice a week or something we're going live and hanging out and this is time to connect to you guys and answer your questions and just stuff like that so that's kind of the that's kind of the game plan I hope you guys enjoy it and hopefully please show up and you keep your notifications on next time it goes and know that you're going to be hanging out with the real Russell, the live Russell. This is not AI Russell. This is the actual, this is me. I'm real.
Starting point is 00:07:07 Okay. So that sounds fun. Oh, the Ozzy said this is a good time for them. So that's good. End of my day, beginning of your day. Very cool. So first time I was I'm going to go and I'm going to answer some of the comments, the questions you guys asked on the notification because that'll reward those who did that and then we'll
Starting point is 00:07:24 do some live questions here as well. It'll be kind of the game plan and I don't know we'll go for 30 minutes 40 minutes. I don't even know we'll go for a little while and see what happens. It'll be kind of fun. So all right and my I'm sure with these questions sometimes you guys have some questions that jumped into you as well and you know they you'll hear a question of someone else like oh I needed that today. So hopefully as I'm answering these questions, it'll unlock things for you as well. So all right, first question I got here is from Evan Kaye says, how do I choose what offer path to commit to when I don't want to offer anything unless I know I can get people a good result? I tend to downplay, I tend to downplay the value of my experience. I don't want to get stuck doing something I'm good at, but don't enjoy.
Starting point is 00:08:05 So Evan, that's a great question. How many guys have some version of that as well, where you're like, ah, that makes me nervous to to offer something's well I'm not good at it what if it sucks or what they don't like it or what if what if I offer and then I I hate it I don't want to do it okay yeah a lot of you guys okay this is a good one so I think a couple things I would think through is number one is an offer's not forever you can make an offer and then if you hate you're like I've never doing that again I had a friend she had a really cool event here in Boise and I remember we helped her
Starting point is 00:08:36 craft out her pitch and her offer and she launched it and I remember at the end of the event she came back and She was so excited. She'd killed it. I think it was a $5,000 offer. And she sold a whole bunch of people into it. And then a year later, I was talking to her. And she was like, this was the worst thing about.
Starting point is 00:08:50 I was so happy then, because we made a bunch of money and people bought. And it was so horrible because the offer was so hard. And like, it sucked my life out of me and drained me. And she's like, I'm never making that offer again. And then after that, she just made offers that were easier. They weren't so bad that didn't have like this long time period. If you guys know, Eileen Wilder,
Starting point is 00:09:07 Eileen's awesome. And one thing that I noticed about her, it's probably smarter than what I do. Usually I saw a coaching, it's like, it's a 12 month coaching program or it's, you know, whatever it is. With Eileen, she's like, it's a two-day event. When the event's done, it's over. And there's no like long-term commitments. People come in, they do the event, and they leave, and then she's done.
Starting point is 00:09:23 And it's just like, ah. So she didn't like that event. She's like, I never have to do that one again. And she'd like it and then like, I'll offer that again next time, right? Versus like, you sell something. You're like, now I'm stuck to this for a year. So if you're not quite sure yet, I would first off just, just test an offer. But test an offer that's not going to be like handcuffs, like tell death do his part.
Starting point is 00:09:39 Test an offer like hey, I'll do this one thing for you and we'll see how it goes So be the first thing second thing is like it's just is this testing out like building willing to building being willing to put out offers Like a lot of people struggle with this makes them nervous of just like what if I put an offer someone says no or in the rallies nobody knows what's happening behind the scenes I put out multiple offers this year that bombed my guess is most of you guys probably don't even know that And so just knowing that's like okay like it doesn't really matter for bombs because nobody was there anywhere, right? And so the key is this putting out offers. There was a guy, uh, Andrew O'Brien, uh, back in the day at the very beginning of click phone. So this is like probably man, nine, 10 years ago. I remember on his Facebook every like three or four days,
Starting point is 00:10:23 he put out new offer like, oh, I'm doing this offer guys. I'm doing blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And he posted out there. And then, uh, and people comments and stuff back forth, then a few days later, he had post another offer. And it was like, they were similar offers. He was doing PR stuff at times. There's similar offers that's kind of like different. And he would add this and he changes and he kept just putting these different offers out there. And I remember watching him, I was like, man, this guy puts out a lot of offers. And then one of the first hit where like the way he structured differently, how he said it, and he got a whole bunch of clients from it. And then that became his offer moving forward
Starting point is 00:10:51 afterwards. And it was just fascinating to me because I was like, he probably failed on eight of those offers before one of whom worked and nobody knew. I was just like, wow, that's a cool offer. That's another cool offer. Like he's got all sorts of cool offers. I was helping people. In the reality, he was just testing stuff. He was testing the waters until he found traction where people start taking it. It's like, okay, I'm going to go deeper on that one. And so I I think just feeling willing to kind of play with those things. So, um, noel said my first offer was 12 masterclasses, six certifications over a year so much.
Starting point is 00:11:18 Yeah, usually we have that promise, like over, I'm gonna over deliver. I'm gonna give you my, my kidney and my, and then actually, you know, like, why did I do this? It wasn't worth it. Okay, great question from Evan Ken. All right, next question from Kimberly C. How do I know if my offers more than enough for the price I'm charging? Oh, good question.
Starting point is 00:11:38 I think we broke these down into offer questions, AI questions and things like that. So that's why these are offer based, which is kind of funny because I may be working on a book right now. The book's not called dot com secrets or expert secrets or traffic secrets. It's called something else, something else secrets.
Starting point is 00:11:53 Any of them have an idea what that thing is? Yeah, offer secret. Yeah, some of you guys know, we're gonna offer secrets. Okay, so how do I know if my offer is more than enough for the price I'm charging? So usually what happens is like when you put out an offer the very first time, you put something out there and And if people say yes really fast, like, dang it, I should have charged more right and then you like charge a little more So I remember Hermosey back and there was in the inner circle and he just shut down doing doing
Starting point is 00:12:23 He'd flat and launched people's gyms and he'd just shut it down and so what he did is he decided he was he was calling a guy to cancel the The cancel the thing they were about to do like we were gonna fly out your gym and launch it we're gonna cancel so we called the guy to cancel and the guy's like wait I want you to come he's like sorry I'm not doing anymore And the guy's like, well, what should I do? And he's like, well, Alex, I have this training. I could put it in a membership site and, you know, I'll license it to you for 8K. And the guy's like, done. And he's like, oh, okay. So he hangs up, calls the other guys that I cancel with.
Starting point is 00:12:48 And the guy's same thing, like, wait, what are you talking about? He's like, I'll do it for AK. And the guy's like, huh, two people who else said AK. So he calls the next guy and the guy's like, how much would it cost? He's like 10,000. The guy's like, okay. Next guy's like, it's 12,000. Guys, like, done.
Starting point is 00:13:01 The next guy just keeps calling it. And each one keeps raising the price to eventually end the price of like $36,000 is where it kind of people stopped saying yes to it. And it was harder to get people to say, say yes. So a lot of it's just like put out an offer. Like when I first started coaching people, it was like a thousand bucks and then some people bought.
Starting point is 00:13:16 And then I was like, I think I'm worth more now. Let's try $5,000. I tried to $5,000 offer and some people bought. And then I went up from there. So it's like, it's like starting where you feel comfortable and then stretching your boundaries. Okay, most of you guys are going to undervalue your time. That's what I found.
Starting point is 00:13:31 people who join in some of my coaching programs, they'll tell me like, yeah, I have a high ticket. I'm much high ticket price. They're like, they're like, $497. And I'm like, what? That's not a high ticket. That's a front end. I was like, you should double your price.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Like if I double my price, half the people will leave. I'm like, if you double the price and half people leave, guess what just happened? You have half as much headaches and the same amount of money. Like that'd be the greatest thing in the world. And so double your price. And then usually what happens, they double it and they lose nobody.
Starting point is 00:13:57 And they double again and they start getting more people because that seems more premium. And then, you know, Yeah, so it's just starting where comfortable and then always push that edge quickly. It's not a slow thing. It's not like every year raise it by 2%. It's just like raising it quickly.
Starting point is 00:14:09 Every time you get four or five people saying yes very easily, it's like, okay, let's raise the price. Okay, it's raise the price. And just keep kind of moving things up like that. So, all right, next up, Nathan, with a purely commission based business, how do you create an offer that lets me charge upfront and build a break-even webinar or VSL funnel?
Starting point is 00:14:25 So purely commission based business. So I don't know Nathan exactly what your business is, but I could guess. So maybe let's say it's the network marketing business is purely commission-based, or it's a, you're selling insurance, which is purely commission-based, right? So I'd be doing is trying to figure out,
Starting point is 00:14:38 somebody's gonna be buying my network marketing product or my insurance or my, the thing that are trying to buy over here, I'd be trying to reverse engineer that and say, what else does that person buy, right? Like for example, when I was selling this thing called ClickFunnels, which was a service, the software that builds funnels, I was like, if that's the thing I'm really trying to sell,
Starting point is 00:14:56 well, something I can sell on the front end that it will create the kind of customer I need, to get people into this other thing, right? And so obviously I'm selling my own product, but I could do this as an affiliate. You know, we paid out, I think, $175 million in affiliate commissions, and people were building entire front-end businesses just promoting ClickFunnels.
Starting point is 00:15:15 Okay, like some of our top affiliates, like if you know, Kala Kani, he was one of our top affiliates, and he had a $100 challenge called a Business Breakthrough Challenge, I think, and you signed for the $100 challenge, and you go in there, and then it's teach you out to build a business. It was like, step one, though, you gotta get a ClickFunnels account.
Starting point is 00:15:30 And so he sent tons of affiliates to us. We were paying a huge affiliate commission checks. And so we had this challenge to teach people to build a business and they happen to need the tool. So if I was, let's say I was in network marketing, I was selling a health product. In fact, let's say this is my drink, it's not my drink update.
Starting point is 00:15:45 Kim Kardashian got the sponsorship deal, I didn't, which I'm still bitter about, but updates were my favorite drinks. So imagine if I was trying to sell that. So I wouldn't just sell this because there's no margin in me selling, you know, 15% on a drink, right? But let's say I was gonna sell, if I wanna sell this,
Starting point is 00:16:00 Like people are gonna buy this, what are they into? Okay, well this is an energy drink with no caffeine. It's got paraxathene instead, which is like the biohacking version of caffeine. And so I'd like, okay, the market's gonna be biohackers. I'm gonna do a biohacking challenge. And we're gonna go through seven ways to increase your energy and decrease your whatever, blah, blah, you know, make some kind of challenge or front end event or ebook or course or something, right? And then in that, I'm teaching people, here's the six steps to be healthy.
Starting point is 00:16:25 And like step number three would be, drink and update or sign it for, uh, you know, My Dotaura, oh, this is a good one for me. I just got back from Lake Powell. I think sunscreen is the devil, just so you guys know. I don't use sunscreen, it scares me to death. Unless it's the mineral kind, not the one to go down a whole rabbit hole. But if you just want me to go, who wants me to go down a rabbit hole? I think the sunscreen is what causes cancer.
Starting point is 00:16:49 There's enough proof and evidence is that like, you look at like where cancer rates started growing. It wasn't when the sun got hotter. So we started rubbing on pesticides on our bodies and then baking it on the, anyway. So there's my long story. I don't use sun tan lotion. I was in Lake Powell for a week, didn't get burnt. I have used the shade, I go in and out, but I do, I will use like the mineral, the zinc oxide. Look at this, my team. You guys are all like my nerds with me on anti-s sunscreen. And then the other, some of the other guys are like, wait a minute, what are you talking about, Russell?
Starting point is 00:17:18 Sunscreens bad for me, like, yeah, you're putting chemicals on your skin and baking in the sun. Like that is the... Anyway, I have to be careful because my wife and my kids still use sunscreen about how hard I try to convince them. try to convince them because the other kind, the mineral kind, makes your face look all pasty, and they'd rather not look pasty than not die of skin cancer, apparently. So this is the argument I have with my wife all the time. Anyway, so I can't make fun of it.
Starting point is 00:17:41 But if I was gonna be like how to biohack your health during summer so you don't die of skin cancer, I'd be like step number one, stay in the shade sometimes. Step number two, put on a t-shirt. You can take it off like 15 minutes time and put your t-shirt back on, right? Step number three, use Dotera's. And doteras is my favorite brand.
Starting point is 00:17:56 Dotaura, which is a network marketing program. I'm not a distributor. should be though and they have a zinc oxide spray on and a face one it's amazing it's one that goes best in your skin and then you and then you don't get cancer and you're not bait it's it's amazing so that's how I would sell that so so shan just got back from Lakefowl too okay so hopefully that helps you guys there was a long rabble yeah these are supposed to be 15 or 30 minute Q&A's one question two and I went down a rabbit hole on sunscreen this is gonna be bad
Starting point is 00:18:24 but anyone wants to join my Dota downline let me know I'm just kidding But if you look at like zinc oxide or zinc, sun tan lotion, there's a lot of them in there. A lot of them are trash. The Dotaire one is amazing. Find a notary rep and just ask them to sell you something. But if I'm selling something purely commission base, that's the game I'm playing. What's the framework or the system I'm teaching where the commission based thing is just one step in it, right?
Starting point is 00:18:48 If I was selling insurance, I'd be like the seven ways to retire as a millionaire. And step three would be you need to buy insurance. And I push people over there, but I'd be running the front end off, off of the framework I'd be teaching to bring people in based on desire and I can sell them the need inside the framework. So yeah. All right. Question number, whatever we're on.
Starting point is 00:19:08 How many people are on? I can't even tell how many people are on right now? Where's my team? But this is our first time doing this. So I'm just curious, like 190 on live? Sick. Congratulations, guys. We're going to build this up to point we're getting like 20,000 people live.
Starting point is 00:19:19 You guys are the very beginning of this whole party. So, very cool. Rick Hartley said he came from ClickFunnels through K-Alice funnel. Yeah, Kayala, thank you for sending Rick to our world. Okay, Jill, I think my offer may be too all-inclusive and people feel like they have to pay for things that they won't use. Should I just deconstructing separate solutions where they can pick which fits their problem or get better value by choosing all three?
Starting point is 00:19:45 We sold several packages previously, so it's a verified offer, but conversions low. Oh, Jill, I love this question. This is one of the mistakes people make, okay, because we create something and we're amazing. We put all these things into it. We're so proud of them, we're so everything they're going to get when they buy from us because if they saw the amount of value we were giving them they would have to say yes right unfortunately that's not true okay one of the times I found this out with click funnels we launched click funnels I do the webinar I do a webinar and in the
Starting point is 00:20:11 webinar I had a seven-minute demo me showing click funnels it's basically I open a click funnels build a funnel open a page drag and drop moves and stuff around I'm like oh it's so simple and people freaked out and they bought click funnels okay we ran that for a year end of year we're doing like 10 million dollar MRR cliff phones are growing like crazy and then um Then we added in a new, we added two new features called Action Nets and Backpack, which is the affiliate platform and then our email marketing and text messaging system. So I was really proud of it.
Starting point is 00:20:38 So I read the webinar and I made the demo go from seven minutes to 14 minutes. So I could demo all the cool things. I'm like, here's the phone mobile. Plus you run affiliate program and here's how you do this. And I was showing all their features. I was like so excited. I'm like, we're going to close 100% of the people on this call. And guess what happened?
Starting point is 00:20:54 Almost nobody bought. Conversions dropped to almost nothing. I was like, what? Don't they know what I'm giving them? And so I went back in time, went back to the seven minute demo and it crushed again. And I realized that people come to you for a very specific problem that you were trying to solve for them, where you were creating desire in something. And your job is to find the problem and create a desire. And that's what gets somebody to say yes to buy something.
Starting point is 00:21:19 And then when they log in, they can find out all the other things you have, right? But if you try to get, you try to get somebody more than one thing at any sales proposition or sales pitch, the conversion is all. always go down. So what I would do if I was you, if you have an offer with a whole bunch of cool stuff and it, amazing. Make one webinar or one VSL video sales letter
Starting point is 00:21:35 or something featuring one feature, talk about that and sell people into them, like, oh, and by the way, you get all these other things as the bonus, right? And then do a different VsL for a separate one. And third, some of you guys, how many guys were on the AI Secrets Challenge? If you were on AI Secrets, type in AI Secrets in the chat,
Starting point is 00:21:51 type it and type it in AI Secrets. Yeah, you guys are on there. So AI Secrets, I showed a demo, I talked about multiple front VsLs right and so I showed you like for marketing speakers now we have three we have a friend and challenge and two front of VsLs right each VsL and each thing is focused on a different feature of this software and it sells that one feature creates the desire for it and it's like oh by the way you get
Starting point is 00:22:14 these other things as a bonus but we don't even it's kind of briefly touch over them but I'm focusing on the one core thing that I've created the desire for it solves a very specific problem for them so yeah that's how it works all right I'm gonna go a little faster we're 20 minutes in and I'm having a good time though I kind of miss doing this. If we do this more often, how many guys will commit to come hang out with me if we do this? Because I want to do this, but I want to get, I want every time I go live at 10,000 people show up.
Starting point is 00:22:39 That's my, like back in the good old days. All right, you guys are committed. Thank you. Okay, we'll keep going then. Bum-b-b-b-b-bom. By the way, if you need to like, how do you find this in the future? If you go to backstage-past.com slash Russell Brunson, that's where you go. If you want to create your own backstage pass and just do this with your audience, there's
Starting point is 00:22:56 a waiting list right now in backstagepast. call and go sign for the waiting list and then uh yeah so okay uh true care cream said i joined funnel bill certification programs my offers to help businesses and funnel needs how should I think about shaping that offer cool so cream if I was you and you're doing funnels for the people I would first figure out like what is the market that I want to serve right so I like I would pick like do I want to build funnels for for chiropractors or for dentists or for coaches or for authors or for network market, I would pick a market that's very specific and hopefully an underserved
Starting point is 00:23:29 market because yeah, most people let me know about funnels still to the state, right? That'd be the first step and then I would just figure out like what's an offer I create for them. Like I would go and if it was me I would just go build their funnel for them and I would go in there and do like hey I am really good at building funnels and I will build this funnel for you normally I charge $10,000. I'll bill it for free on one criteria is you've got to buy some ads to this funnel and if they convert I just want a percentage of each lead that comes in. So let's say it's a dentist and they're getting paid.
Starting point is 00:23:58 I don't know. A thousand bucks of cleaning? I don't know. I want $100 for every single person who comes through this funnel. Okay, but I'll build a funnel for free. You gotta buy the ads. I get $100 for every person that comes through. So the dentist is just free money.
Starting point is 00:24:11 It's just like new business they didn't have prior. You could come and do something like that. So for me that's what I would do. I would figure out a market that I want to serve, figure out what kind of funnel they wanted and I would try to figure out some kind of revshare plan or something like that. Or I would just go to them and say, hey, this is a really cool funnel that you need in your business.
Starting point is 00:24:25 Let me show you how it works. And then I can build this for you. Just let me know if you want me to. Okay. Eric Gale, what should I do for a higher ticket offer? Okay, one thing that people I think higher ticket offers are something completely different than a low ticket offer.
Starting point is 00:24:42 But the offers are the same. I have a concept I teach sometimes. It's called people will spend the same, or spend more money for the same frame framework packaged in a different way. Can I say again? People spend more money for the same framework packaged in a different way. Okay?
Starting point is 00:25:03 The example I used to share with this is like when I first got Thinking Grow Rich, I bought the book for $10 off Amazon. And I didn't read it for like months, right? But eventually I bought the CDs off of eBay for $100. And I did listen to those, right? And I was like, what's the difference between thinking and grow rich the audio book and think and grow rich? The CD set. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:25:19 They're literally word forward to the same thing. But I spent 10 times more money for the CDs than I did for the book, right? People spend more money for the same thing. content packages in a different way. So if you look at my business, I obviously sell books, right? I have a book called dot com secrets that teaches people I use funnels. Then I have software called ClickFunnels that people pay $97 a month for that helps them to build those funnels.
Starting point is 00:25:38 Then we have like funnel hacking live. By the way, if you don't have your tickets yet, go to funnel hacking live.com. We're doing funnel hacking live, a one-time AI Encore event in like a couple, like two months or now. Anyway, if you remember your ticket check, go get it. But I have a funnel hacking live, $4,000. come and then we talk about funnels, right? And then from there, I have my two CCX coaching program
Starting point is 00:25:59 for $25,000. We help people to build funnels. And then from there, I have my inner circle at $50,000 where I help people mastermind about the funnels. And there, I got my $250,000 category king group where we help people to build funnels. So the things I talk about the category king group
Starting point is 00:26:13 for $250,000, same thing I talk about in the dot com seekers book, okay? It's the same thing to talk about funnels. The difference is how we deliver the experience, right? And so you think about that, someone will pay $10 to read something, They'll spend $97 a month to be able to have a tool to help them build it. They'll spend $1,000 to come for three days in a room to be around other people.
Starting point is 00:26:31 It's been 25,000 dollars to be in a year-long program. And they'll spend $250,000 to be a mastermind and $250,000 to be a mastermind with the very small, certain group of people. So creating a high ticket is no, it's not like, I gotta figure out something new to teach. It's just, it's changing the experience, right? It's like when people come to a plane, everyone's flying on the same plane, right? There's people who are in the back of the plane and they're paying less money than people in the middle of the plane. plane who are paying less money than people in the front of the plane. We're all going to the same location, right?
Starting point is 00:26:59 But I'm willing to spend a lot more to sit in front than I'm sitting in the back. Right? Like I got a fly to Dubai in September and we just booked our flights today. And my flights, I got business class where you get the bed where you sit and you lay down and you can like watch TV and read books. And it's like the most amazing experience ever. Okay. I'm going to the exact same destination as everybody else on the plane, but I spent probably three times more money. Maybe more. I don't even know, uh, because I want a different experience. And so when you're going from low ticket to mid ticket to high ticket, It's not changing your frameworks. It's changing how you deliver. It's the experience that comes with it.
Starting point is 00:27:29 That's the big difference. I think one of my best favorite case studies is Brooke is Brooke with Life Coach School. She's a podcast. Brooke has one core framework she teaches called the model. It's really powerful. I had a really cool experience where we were camping with this camp out thing with her.
Starting point is 00:27:44 And she did the model on me, which was so crazy and insane, one of the coolest things in my life. So she does this thing. And you guys know Brooke? Causeio, right? Brooke in the comments if you know Brooke. She's amazing. Anyway, so Brooke is doing her model on me and then I was like learning about her business and she teaches that
Starting point is 00:27:58 So he's a podcast and every single episode podcast she shows how you can use the model with smoking How you use the model to do this and like she just teaches it for free and then she and I think she recently shut her business down or changed I don't know what it looks like now But when when she was involved in my programs I had a closer eye on it So there was that then she had a three hundred dollar month membership site that people pay to we're gonna go and you could have her her Her certified coaches and training do the model on you. So you learn the model to do it yourself, or now you pay 300 bucks a month and people could do the model on you. And then she had a certification for $18,000 where you could be certified on how to do the model. Right? So her whole business from free podcast to $300
Starting point is 00:28:37 month continuity program to $18,000 certification programs all based on one framework and one framework alone. But she delivered different ways. One's on your own. When you get a coach to coach you. When you get certified, she can turn it into a business and run it through other people. So, yeah, I hope that's helpful. Okay, let's do this. Who's got a question? Give me, drop me a question in the comments. I don't see if any of you guys who are live with me hanging out.
Starting point is 00:29:02 If you got something burning desire, they'll be awesome. Now's gonna be like 500 to come in. Amriya Megan says, we wanna keep it more intimate, fill and seeing 10,000 people. Well, good news for the next, who knows, year, it'll be just us hanging out. And then hopefully eventually it'll grow from there. When is the offer seekers book coming out?
Starting point is 00:29:18 Great question. I don't know, not too soon. We did an event two weeks ago with my inner circle. and two CCX members teaching it, but I'm still in the process of writing. And then I'm going through, Hey House. So that's something that finished it. It's like a year before it goes live. So it's going to be long, but we are going to do some really cool things this time along
Starting point is 00:29:35 the way as we're waiting for the rollout, so it'll be really cool. I'd ask some questions about Overskill. That's exciting. We're actually doing an Overskill event the next two days here in Boisey. We're building their apps. We have 35 people coming in town. We're just building out Overskill apps with people. So Overskill is a new.
Starting point is 00:29:53 new business that we are launching, if you doesn't know about it. If you go to overskill.com, you can go get on the waiting list. But it's an app builder that builds apps, but not like, there's a lot of them out there that are just kind of lame. Like, I mean, there's some are okay, but what's cool about this one is it does everything. It builds your member management, it builds your logins, it builds your payments. It's like every, it's not like you have to like learn how to connect together to 50 things.
Starting point is 00:30:13 You're just talking to be like, hey, build me an app, this and just does the whole thing for you. It's insane. So, um, very cool. What's next AAS Secrets? Well, everyone signed up. There's like a thousand things happening a day inside AI secrets.
Starting point is 00:30:26 So you in there? Carlos, if you didn't sign up, dude, that's why. Are the parties happening inside? Everyone who got started. There's a whole crew of people in there, building stuff and creating things. There's live trainings happening,
Starting point is 00:30:35 and open office hours have that. There's a lot of stuff happening in there. So yeah, yeah. Yes, so there's two comic cup awards. Yes, we're still doing two comical awards. We're gonna be doing it a little differently at this year's FHL and moving forward, but they are still there.
Starting point is 00:30:51 It's still a word goal to run towards. I think a lot more people now when they start using overskilling click funnels together are going to hit a lot faster too, which is really, really cool. Scotty, oh, Scott, a good news if you said, I built my app, but still need to know how to sell it. We're working on an overskill contest where you build an app and then we do a 90 day showing you how to get MR on how to sell it. So I'm putting that together actually. I was mapping out last night, so it's going to be insanely cool. So don't worry, I got something specifically coming for you in the near future that's going to blow your mind.
Starting point is 00:31:23 So it's gonna be really, really good. I'm gonna talk about real quick. Those of you don't know about Funnel Hocking Live. So Funnel Hiking Live is an event we did every year for 10, technically 11 years, so we did an international one. So we did 11 times and then two years ago we shut it down. I decided to take a break from Funnel Hocking Live. And after all, this AI stuff went crazy in January and everything shifted
Starting point is 00:31:47 and like the whole world got flipped upside down. And we started leveraging AI and doing some crazy things. I was like, we should do some crazy things. I feel bad, like the last FHL was so powerful, but also was like, we didn't talk about AI at all. Like it wasn't really a thing yet. And so we're doing a one time only encore events called Funnel Hacking Live AI.
Starting point is 00:32:04 And we're going deep into AI. And if you have any interest in learning how to scale and grow and blow up a business AI, like be at that event. It's in Las Vegas. It's September, what's the date? September 21st, 22, 23rd, I think. It's Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:32:20 It's different than normal Funnel Heshoe FinalLike Live back in day was, it was four days plus travel and there's 5,000 people jammed in a room. This one's gonna be a lot more intimate. The room only holds, I think, 2,300 people, and it's in a theater, so it's like, it's like there's the floor seats which are all sold out, and then there's like three tiers, but everything's, everything's close because like I stood on the stage, like, I feel like everyone's on top of me. It's gonna be so much fun, and the whole thing's just AI. Like we have this AI after dark sessions are gonna be so cool, like it's gonna be the, cutting edge of the cutting edge and it's gonna be amazing right now we're not planning and doing virtually we want to get people in the room and so all you got to do is go to funnel hacking night dot com to get your seats again normally FHA on the past we sold 5,000 plus tickets this one were capped we have to sell it through
Starting point is 00:33:06 ticket master because they sell the tickets and so like you have to go pick your seat and then when it's gone they're gone there's no extra tickets there's no like I can't bring in an extra row or bench like I think there's like yeah there's not that many tickets left things like a thousand tickets left Maybe under anyway, I don't know what it is, but if you don't have your ticket shit, highly recommend going and getting those to come and be part of it because it's going to be it's going to be special For most of you guys if you haven't been in funnel hacking live like this is where you'll meet your future business partners Your vendors you're in work with like your your peer group your friends like it's the most powerful thing we do and this is probably last time we'll ever do any version of this Which is really really cool
Starting point is 00:33:43 So make sure you come. Okay, let's see Okay, we'll do a couple more questions. I can see a couple of these now One of the questions right here, what is the easiest way to introduce yourself on social platforms? You've never really used them. So I don't use social platform for our platforms really to extra engage with people.
Starting point is 00:34:05 What I do is like, as I try to make it, and this is maybe this is the introvert Russell, okay? Like if I walk into room, I never go walk up, something like, hi, how you doing? Like that causes so much fear and anxiety in my heart and in my soul, even in groups where I know people, I'm like, I just don't want to talk to them. So this is what introverts do.
Starting point is 00:34:21 This is a secret, okay, is we try to do really, really cool things so people will come to us. That's the secret, okay? I'm just trying to show off all the time so that I've ever been in a room that you guys will come in and say hi to me because I will do not dare to come to you. Like it's just, it's the truth. And so that's kind of the game plan. And so what I do is social media is I post cool things on social media. So people see it, they're like, oh, I saw your thing.
Starting point is 00:34:45 That was really, really cool. I'm trying to create things where people want to come to me. Okay. Dan Kenny calls it magnetic marketing. Like you do magnetic things to polarize people to bring them towards you and so social media's like start posting Grab a little microphone get your phone out there and start posting five rules a day every single day like learning your voice Finding these out there like just practicing practicing practicing getting better and better and Excuse me try to put out unique interesting things and by doing that people are gonna find you and they'll be attracted to you and then you can open up conversations then you can talk to him
Starting point is 00:35:15 So yeah kids I don't believe you're introvert ask anybody who meets me in public or pride. Yeah, it's weird. Someone says, this really the last monocular. I've used to the last time, Russell. So, yes, some of you guys know, we are building an event center next door to here. Events that are next door holds 300 people. So we're shifting from 5,000 people event to eventually 300 people events. So I'll still do events, but much more intimate, small, probably very more expensive, a lot more expensive. Just because in my, this time my career, that's kind of what I'm leaning towards. And so FHL, this is probably the last big mega event, unless something crazy happens,
Starting point is 00:35:53 but we don't have anything planned. There's no next venue booked for after this one. This is just like, I felt like we needed to do this because AI and because I didn't want to leave our funnel hackers behind in the most insane transition that's ever happened in human history, especially when we're doing so many cool things with it. And yeah, so that's kind of why we're doing it.
Starting point is 00:36:15 So let's see. We're not some virtual tickets right now. I don't think we're planning on doing that. So just come, just come to, or come to Las Vegas. It'll be so much fun. Okay, well guys, I have to get home because my team I told me we've done by 5.30, we're already six minutes over.
Starting point is 00:36:33 And this was the first test. So how did you guys enjoy this? Let me know. What did you like about this? What would you wish I would do more of, what do you wish I would do less of them? I want to create this experience. This is backstage hanging out at my house.
Starting point is 00:36:45 What would you guys like different? Like, let me know. What's cool about backstage pass? This is something we added, because if you were going to live on live, on YouTube and you do this thing, all these comments is amazing. And then YouTube, the video ends and it deletes all the engagement. And they have this video and there's no comments on it.
Starting point is 00:36:59 And it's just like, blah. So I like how, so what we did is like backstage pass when you're done, it, it, the video is going to render in like an hour for now. It'll be live. You can go back and watch the replay at backstagepass.com slash Russell Brunson. But it pulls all the comments in. So all the comments he has are dropping will be there, which is nice. So I can go back and actually read these slowed down, which would be really cool. So spontaneous info is great.
Starting point is 00:37:19 Oh, that's cool. We get heard. I love it. Very, very cool. I submitted questions early, but they weren't answered, so why do that? But great, I can't answer every question. Maybe we'll try to like curate them into like, you know, a lot of questions are very similar to you. So we'll keep working on that. I love this one so much Russell. It feels like you're really my mentor teacher. Want to make you proud. Oh, that's awesome, Irene. Very cool. Yeah, this is like in this, when we're building ClickFunnels, I had a chance to go live all the time. It's crazy
Starting point is 00:37:48 because like when ClickFun's 2.0 came out, I wanted to go live to people, but all the live platforms had killed reach. And I was like, I didn't have the ability to talk to people and to share and just like do stuff like this very often. And so we literally built backstage pass for that purpose, for that reason,
Starting point is 00:38:02 so that I can click live and we show up. And obviously here I'm at the office, but I wanna be able to do this when I'm a vacation when I'm in some weird spot or whatever it is. Like take you guys behind the, again backstage past, take you guys behind the scenes. Like I'm flying to Dubai. We're doing a crazy event.
Starting point is 00:38:14 They're trying to get 2.5 million people to register for this event that we're doing in Dubai. And like, this is where, yes, fix my, I didn't have a cough. I just started coughing because I didn't, haven't been drinking while I've been talking, I think. So, anyway, but yeah, take you guys behind the scenes, like backstage past, like, here's what's happening at this event, like, here's what we're doing and why we're doing it, why
Starting point is 00:38:34 it's so crazy, you know, FHL will probably do a live stream behind the scenes and the game is just take you guys behind the scenes here and make this feel like a backstage pass, you know? Obviously socially, you see like the performer, Russell, and emails and webinars and challenges and this is us just kind of hang out. So anyway, I love it. All right, well, that means make sure you've all downloaded the backstage pass app.
Starting point is 00:38:56 You got notifications turned on. That way you don't miss these in the future when we go. I'm gonna be gone. We've got a family thing next week, but hopefully week after we'll go live again and keep playing this game and some of that. David Williams said, are you still in your Mormon's podcast? Yes, we just built the studio on the other side
Starting point is 00:39:12 of the room over here, so that'll be coming soon to a podcast near you. Very cool. Okay, all right you guys. I appreciate you all. Thanks for hanging out and have a great night and we'll talk to you on the next live stream If you don't even take it yet to funnel hacking live go to funnel hacking live.com and go and get it. All right. Thanks everybody. Talk to you soon. Bye
