The Russell Brunson Show - The One Comma Club Challenge: Day 5 of 5 - Making Success Inevitable | #Marketing - Ep. 111
Episode Date: February 4, 2026In this episode of The Russell Brunson Show, everything clicks into place. This is the moment where belief turns into inevitability. After a week of learning funnels, sales, leverage, and speed, today...’s focus is on what actually determines whether this time will be different - and why so many smart, capable people get stuck right before the breakthrough. This session isn’t about tactics alone; it’s about identity, commitment, and making the shift from “trying” to deciding. McCall, Kathryn, and I walk you through the six missing keys that stop people from ever reaching their first One Comma Club milestone - and how to remove each one for good. From choosing the right long-term path, to becoming resourceful instead of resource-limited, to selling quietly when you need camouflage, this episode is designed to remove every remaining excuse. We also dive deep into courage - those critical 20 seconds that separate people who talk about success from people who create it - and why community is the final force that makes momentum unstoppable. Key Highlights: ◼️The three paths to scaling your funnel skills - and how to choose the one that fits your life and goals ◼️Why resourcefulness, not resources, is the real unlock to funding your next move ◼️How to sell and land clients privately through DMs when you need discretion or confidence ◼️The power of “20 seconds of insane courage” and why hesitation is more dangerous than failure ◼️How commitment and community turn belief into inevitable results This episode is where everything gets cemented. You’re no longer wondering if funnels, selling, or business can work for you - you’re deciding that they will. When the compass is clear, the excuses are gone, and the courage is activated, momentum becomes unavoidable. This is the point where success stops being a hope and starts becoming a process you can’t unsee. ◼️https://onecommaclub.com ◼️If you’ve got a product, offer, service… or idea… I’ll show you how to sell it (the RIGHT way) Register for my next event → https://sellingonline.com/podcast ◼️Still don’t have a funnel? Do you have a funnel, but it's not converting?
The problem 99.9% of the time is that your funnel is good, but you suck at selling.
If you want to learn how to sell so your funnels will actually convert, then get a ticket to my next selling online event by going to sellingonline.com slash podcast.
That's selling online.com slash podcast.
This is the Russell Brunson show.
What's up?
Funnel hackers.
Welcome back to the one comic club challenge.
So excited to be hanging out with you guys.
This morning, I woke up and open my Facebook group.
I don't know if you can see it's on here, but I started looking, I started scrolling through,
and every single post is like, oh, some with their contracts, some of their contracts,
some of their contract.
Like, this is the most exciting thing in the world that my entire feed is filled with you guys,
committing to change your lives and change the world.
And what a great feeling this morning.
So congratulations for everybody.
I want to officially welcome you guys back.
We have such a fun day plan for you guys today.
I'm not going to lie, we had a direction, and then we shifted the direction, and it's so much better.
And today's going to be insane.
and really excited to be hanging out with you guys.
First off, again, throw my slides up real quick.
Welcome back officially and what's up funnel hackers.
I saw pictures you guys.
Buddy has actually got your funnel swag already, which is amazing.
If you haven't yet, go get some swag.
Go to onecombe.com slash merch.
She doesn't look like us.
Listen, hold on.
We got a bully.
Wait, Russell really fast.
Something's wrong.
Friends match.
Friends match.
Here, kill the slut.
One of these things is not like the other.
Russell.
I got the other.
Figure out, do it.
Friends match.
Friends match.
Matching Funnel Hacker shirt.
Let's go.
Okay.
All right.
We're going back to that one of the old G funnel hacker shirts.
I mean,
five friends match.
How many guys are going to go buy this shirt now?
Friends match.
Friends now we're all that's together.
That was close.
I feel like this whole day was going to be off.
If you had to figure that out.
What the heck?
That was close.
That was a close call.
Okay.
Now we're talking.
Now we can officially start.
Friends match.
Thank you so much.
Well, that was, there we go.
Wardrobe change.
Live in front of thousands.
of people. You love, you love us, Russell, right? We're all friends in match. All right. So hopefully
all you guys, now we're all friends here. We're funnel hackers. You guys are all funnel hackers with
me. I get your merch that we can wear this stuff loud and proud. I saw some of you already
got it, which is crazy. I don't know how fast they shipped them, but some of you guys already got them.
So anyway, we can all match together. Here we all right. So we'll ship back in. So this week,
as you guys know, it's been completely insane. Dana Boy, we introduced you this new opportunity.
I saw during the break. Someone called me like, I came thinking I was going to build a
funnel and I'm leaving with an entire business. So yes, we're hoping to blow your minds and
look like it happened. You guys now know this backdoor to the Onecoma Club, which is actually
building funnels for other people's businesses. It's one skill set that you master. It's the
most profitable skill set on the planet, as you guys already know. Number two, we talked about
how to actually do the skill set. You learn how to borrow from the best. You learn design hacking
from Catherine. You guys were actually in click funnels, building funnels. It was insane. You're like,
oh my gosh, I can actually do this. But then some of you guys are nervous like, but I don't
actually sell. So McCall came in and showed us how to get clients without closing and walk you through
the entire process. You learned how to not get hit by bus, but to use that as a tool to get people to beg you to do
their projects for them. And it's insane. It works so well, so good. Then yesterday was our AI
Shorika Day. How many guys enjoyed AI day yesterday? If you didn't type in AI in the comments,
Todd, it was here and blowing people's minds. Some of you guys told me afterwards you like Todd more than me now.
Kind of my feelings, but I get it.
He's got the cool beard, and, like, he's just, he's awesome.
So, uh, AI stuff was really fun.
And today we're talking about building your empire going from one comma to two,
plus a whole bunch of other really cool things, uh, that we're going to be talking
as about today.
So that's what today's plan is.
As you guys know, today, uh, this afternoon or just right now.
Yeah.
We're going to be working on the money by the weekend sprint.
We want you guys getting your one common club before the weekends out.
Um, so that's game plans, money by the weekend.
We're going to show you exactly what to do, how to do it.
We're going to be scripts, ideas, a whole bunch of stuff to make this process fun and easy and
exciting this weekend.
which would be awesome.
And then Monday, we're going to do some show and tell and kind of walk through.
Yeah, so Monday will come back and celebrate, have a big party and it'll be, it'll be amazing.
So that is what's happening.
As you guys know, this offers by the most insane offer in the history of the internet
and the history, maybe of the world.
And so, but it's still going to get better.
If you notice, there's still two things that are unlocked or that are locked on here.
So don't miss this today.
Unlocking two more bonuses.
Each of these is probably worth the cost of investment and you get them for free.
And we accidentally on purpose added another one.
Remember how we bullied Russell into giving you his brain?
We actually added one more thing.
In love, in love, but we added one more thing.
So you think there's two.
There's actually three.
But wait, there's more.
He's literally like, he just said he's like, you guys got to get out of here.
I can't take these 4 a.m. messages anymore.
I'm not hired.
But we're pumped.
This is awesome.
So good.
So, today's mission, well, actually, I'm going to pass it over to McCall.
I'm going to hear of run yesterday with the plan for mission to say because it's going to be amazing.
Okay, friends.
So, so far, it feels like we have been slowly changing your identity.
If that makes sense.
And if that's something that you guys feel, I want you to write new me in the chat.
New me.
Our entire point of this challenge was not only to give you skills, but truly, truly to change your identity.
Right.
A lot of you came day one thinking, I don't know if I can do this.
I don't know if I can start a business.
I have been trying to maybe make my first thousand dollars online for a while.
Maybe you've tried several things and they just didn't work out for you.
But you were brave and you came to day one thinking like, okay, maybe I'll give this a shot.
By the end of day one, you had posted a message and committed to actually being a curious student.
And that was the first identity shift.
Yeah.
If you posted on day one, I want you to write, I did it.
in the chat. I did it. Oh yeah, look at, look at those. Jack did it. It's beautiful.
He really did it. Mary did it. Earl did it. That was your first identity shift, right? The
identity shift of an action taker, right? All of the sudden we said, we do what Russell says,
and we're willing to move, right? Day two, we came and we said, okay, now we're going to learn some
skills, right? Before that, maybe you thought, I don't know if I could ever build a funnel. And maybe even
more importantly, I don't know if I could ever build a funnel quickly. I don't know if I could ever build a funnel
quickly. I don't know if I could master a skill that I could possibly make money by the weekend.
Once again, maybe some things you had tried before, like didn't really work out. So you were
hesitant, right? Maybe you had that identity and you have like, maybe I could do this, but I'd do it
really slow. Or maybe I'm not talented enough or skilled enough or creative enough to really
make this happen. But by the end of day two, you had another identity shift. Yeah, if you felt
that identity shift and when you actually created that first funnel, you recreated that one,
all of a sudden you blew your own mind.
I want you to write day two, let's go.
Day two, let's go.
Day two.
All of a sudden, you once again made this identity shift, right?
You started to shift the way that you actually are.
Then day three came and by the end of day two, you probably thought to yourself, you know,
okay, I can build a skill.
I can do this.
I could build a funnel, but nobody's ever going to see my funnels.
And I may never make any money doing funnels because selling is really, really hard.
Right?
you accepted some identity of yourself before day three because maybe you had tried some things that
didn't work out.
Maybe you had tried to sell before and you got really awkward or you felt like you were
being aggressive or something, right?
You were like, oh man, I am not good at selling.
And maybe you had that identity when you showed up for day three, but hopefully by the time
all of us did not get hit by buses, but we survived the buses.
Hopefully by day three, all of a sudden you also shifted your identity where you're like,
oh, sales can be easy for me.
Yeah, if all of a sudden you saw that it could be a possibility for you that maybe you
had never even experienced that before where you're like, oh, sales are hard.
But now I see how they could be easy.
I want you to write, sales are easy in the chat.
Sales are easy.
I love it.
Somebody just said, juke the bus.
Yeah, juke the bus.
Sales are easy, right?
All of a sudden, you're like, okay, even though I've seen maybe a little bit of this
evidence that I tried before, it failed, it didn't work out, you've seen.
slowly started to shift that identity of, hmm, maybe I can do this.
Right?
Day four, all of a sudden you were like, okay, this feels like it's getting easier and easier,
but I don't know if them all the way there yet.
And yesterday, we walked through all of these different AI tools, things that can make it go faster.
And suddenly the money by the weekend thing started a ping in your brain of like, whoa, maybe I could do this in a day.
Maybe I could do this in two days.
Maybe we could do this an hour.
because all of a sudden the identity of like, I do things quickly, started to creep up on you.
Yeah, if you felt that, if all of a sudden yesterday gave you the possibility of like, wait,
I can see money by the weekend, like actually in my mind and I see it's within my grasp.
I want you to write money by the weekend in the chat.
Money by the weekend.
Mm-hmm.
Right?
Before day four, maybe you had tried to make money quickly, but it didn't really work out for you,
but slowly it started to shift.
Yeah.
Now, I want to point out the main identity that you've actually been adopting this
entire time and the one that we want to cement today, this one thought and this one emotion,
I want you to think it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over today.
This time will be different.
I want you to just write in the chat, this time will be different.
Because I promise you every single thing that you have tried and every emotion that you have felt up into this point has been valid.
right? Your brain has actually found evidence. It's found evidence. It hasn't been like you were
giving up or you weren't even, you know, depressed or sad or whatever, but your brain was finding
evidence. So every time you thought, I can do this, your brain would go back to those times where it was
actually evidence. Or you said, well, I can do this, but, no, remember that one time you failed?
I can do this, but remember that other time you failed, right? Your brain was collecting evidence,
which just means that your brain is smart. But up until this point, every time you've tried,
you've tried to fight evidence with just convincing of like, nah, uh, right, where you're like,
oh, man, I think I can do it.
And your brain went, nah, you remember that one time?
Nah, I remember that one time you failed?
And you haven't had evidence to counteract it.
To actually cement this identity of this time will be different.
But I have really amazing news.
This week, you have found counter evidence.
That when your brain says, oh my gosh, I don't think I can do this.
Now your brain says, wait a minute.
It's not, I think I can do this, it's I've already done it.
Day one, I changed my identity.
I posted, I got a lead.
When before I was like, you'll never get leads.
Remember that one time you didn't get leads?
No, now you replace that and you say, no, I know I can get leads.
I got one on Monday.
The time that you felt like, oh, man, I don't know if I have the skills.
Because remember that one time I tried to be creative and I tried to paint a picture
of a lady and it turned out looking like a pig?
Like, I don't know.
I don't know if I can do this.
I'm not creative.
I'm not artistic.
Where all of a sudden your brain can replace that and say, no, no, no, no, no.
I have evidence.
I recreated a funnel on Tuesday in like 25 minutes.
I have evidence that this time is different.
Day three, when you were like, oh, man, I don't know if I can sell.
And by the end of it, you were like, all I got to do is get hit by bus and then juke the bus.
I could do this.
All of a sudden, your brain had evidence where you're like, wow, this could actually be easy.
It gave you evidence with this AI.
It gave you evidence even just by showing up today.
So this time will be different can actually be real.
Yeah, I want you to change it just a little bit in the chat of this time is different.
This time is different, right? Because evidence is really the only thing that mattered.
So today, our theme of this time will be different. I want to tell you, you really have only been
missing the things that we're going to give you today. Because we've given you a lot of skills,
we've given you a lot of tools. But today we're going to cement this and we're going to make
sure that you feel like your success is inevitable. Yeah, that's our goal. That by the end of today,
you think, this time will be different by success is inevitable. Now, today we're going to reveal,
but I'm not going to tell you what they are before we give them to you.
Yeah.
Are you guys with me?
I want you to say, with you in the chat.
Woo-hoo.
If this makes sense, just with me in the chat.
Oh, yeah, look at our people.
Look at our people.
They're locked in.
Let's go.
We're going to crush this today.
So today we have six Cs to show you.
And each one of these Cs is going to show you why this time is going to be different.
These are the only six things that you have been missing in order to actually make this work.
So to bring us our first C, I'm going to pass it over to Russell.
Oh, man.
And C number one is called your lack of compass, okay?
For a lot of you, this has been the thing that's holding you back.
In the VIP session, I talked a lot about having a definite purpose and knowing exactly
where you're going.
Like, where is the compass directing you towards?
And so what I want to spend a few minutes today going through is just hoping you has to understand,
again, the path from going from a one common club to a two common club.
Because one common club, again, the most important thing for me is the belief it gives you
is going to work, right?
But it's not the end goal, right?
Like, I think about when I started my business back into them.
My very first product I ever had was how to make a potato gun.
It was a DVD-T-shed to make a potato gun.
It was so cool.
And guess what?
It didn't make me that much money.
But it gave me belief.
Somebody bought it.
I was like, oh, my gosh.
But after I knew that, it's like, well, how do I have the skills that I just learned to be able to do this thing?
How can I turn that into more money, right?
And because I had done the hard work on the very first thing, now I just had to take that
framework, the skill set and leveraging it bigger and bigger and better and better.
Okay.
And so that's kind of one walk you guys through.
There's three different paths in my mind to go from one comma to two commas.
So this is kind of what happens when this challenge is over.
So again, there's a lot of things.
The very first one I'm talking about is a lot of you guys are here in this business
because you want to create what I call a lifestyle business.
How many guys want to have a lifestyle business?
That means like you work your own hours, you travel, you can do things wherever you're at.
But that's kind of the type of like your end goal is like, I want to create a lifestyle
business where I got freedom, okay?
A lot of my people who are obsessed with freedom.
Like this is the kind of thing you want.
You want freedom.
You want to get really good at this.
You want to be able to do it working, work whenever.
you want, wherever you want, not be bound by time or your location or your office or anything,
just have freedom.
Okay, we got a lot of people who are free.
That's awesome.
Hey, you picked the right one first.
I love it.
And this is great, by the way.
For me, this was, my motivation was ever a lifestyle business, but my friends like Stu
McClare and obsessed with life.
He's like, I'm building this around my life.
I make it perfect.
And he's built an insanely cool business.
And so the thing about a lifestyle business is the way you make more money in a lifestyle
business, right?
Because you don't want necessarily more clients and you don't necessarily want more things
to do.
You don't want staff and resources and like all that stuff.
Like to make more money, to go from one comma to two comma in a lifestyle business, the key,
the biggest secret is called skill acquisition.
You have to learn how to increase your skill set.
The better you get at something, the more money you can make.
Okay.
And that's the big secret.
And so a lot of what the certification program is you move from like bronze to gold to
no, that's the order of bronze, to silver to gold.
As you move to diamond, as you move through there, it's like increasing your skill set,
getting you better, getting more talented, right?
Because the very first time I built a funnel, I remember, okay, so my very first funnel was the product called Zip Brander, and then I'm a potato gun one about the same time.
And then I remember afterwards, like I created this thing called Article Spider and I launched it.
And I remember it made, I think like 500 bucks.
And I was just like, I make funnels to make $500.
Then my next one was the product I created called Forum Fortunes.
It doesn't matter.
I don't sell these anymore.
It's 20 years ago.
But I put that one up there and I launched it.
And I remember it made $1,000.
I was like, when I make funnels, I make $1,000.
and then the next one, and they kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
And over time, it got spot where it's like my skills thing got so good that I know how to
create a million dollar funnel.
I know how to create a $10 million funnel.
Like I know the things that go into it.
And so I'm able to execute it over and over and over again because I've increased my skill
set, right?
And so I can have a lifestyle business and I can go from one comma to two commas and beyond.
But the key is you, like skill acquisition, getting better all the things we're talking about,
right?
Learning the tools, learning the things, like learning how to get better copy,
learning like and so it comes down to you just getting really really good okay which I think is fun
because honestly I think happiness and joy in life um fulfillment in life a lot of times it ties back
to skill acquisition that's one of the main reasons why I think we're here on the search is like what
skills can we acquire while we're here and so I love this because for all you guys who want freedom
cool now just get really good at this game to keep playing and plug in understand this stuff
learn it master it and the better you get the more money you're going to make okay all right
number two way is those guys who want to build an agency business right this is those who
probably a little more like me. You're like, I want to have a team, want to have people around me.
Like, I want to, I want some leverage here. So I don't necessarily have to have to
all the skills, but maybe I hire three or four or five people where I partner with them and each of
them have really good skills, right? And they're each increasing their skills. And because of the leverage,
we can grow even bigger. How many guys are like, I want to start an agency. That sounds awesome now.
Some of you guys are like, wait, now I want agency too. I want a freestyle. And honestly,
you can do that. Like an agency business, you can structure where you and your team has more like
a lifestyle business, but the way you grow in an agency is you grow by having more clients
and usually do that by having a team, right?
So you start building a team and for a lot of people, usually it's them initially and then
they're like, I don't like doing all these things and like I don't like doing the copy or
whatever it's then you hire one or two people to do the other parts, right?
And you start building a team.
And we've got people in the certification program in the ClickFunnels world who have agencies
of one or two people.
We have people of agencies like 50 or 60 people.
So you literally can grow this from one comma club, a two comma club to three comments.
and beyond by actually building out an agency and building teams and having a lot of people
doing stuff. You have a whole team just going out there and selling and getting clients for you.
Then a whole team that's just doing the onboarding, like doing the hit by a bus call.
Right. You have a team that's going to like doing the initial funnel build. A team that's doing
copying. So like you can grow and you can scale this, right? But that growth comes from team building.
Okay. It's a little different skill set than just increasing skills. It's building a team and then
making sure your team is increasing those skills. Okay. So that's kind of the second path.
All right, those two passed right now.
I'm curious which one's most intriguing is number one lifestyle.
Number two,
type in one or two.
I'm curious where they're coming at.
1-1-1-1-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-1.
Okay, interesting.
Some of you want to build teams.
Some guys want to just get the skill set and be able to work when you want to work.
And can I say like for those you've been like, oh my gosh, I want to do agency?
Awesome.
Everything from gold to diamond is agency.
Everything is agency.
So kind of from start to that first gold is all about increasing your skills, increase your skills,
increase your skills, increase your skills, increase your skills.
If that's all you ever did, you have a lifestyle business.
When you're ready for an agency business, you're like, oh, I want to play this game,
what you can do is we talk about it at the beginning.
It's like you get to pick your path.
Do you just kind of still want to play your own game?
Cool.
Here's how you can go from gold to diamond by yourself or are there parts of the business that
you don't like to do?
Awesome.
Let us show you how to build underneath you and go from there.
So for those are you saying, one, I see a lot of people saying,
I want to do one first and then two.
That's literally how the program is design.
So it's perfect.
So you're right on track.
You're the perfect people for this path.
And the reality is before you hire a team, it's, it's essential for you to learn how to do skill set first, right?
Like for me, it's like I only hire people on my team when I've already mastered the skill sets.
And that way I can train them, I can teach them.
I can make sure up to up to my standard, my part, you know, up to par with that I believe in.
But versus just hiring random people like, hopefully you know what you're doing because I don't, like,
learning the skill set first is essential.
So either way, there's the path to the first two.
Okay, now I got the third path.
And this is one.
It's interesting.
I saw a lot of people, I think it was on day three when I first made the offer.
And they're like, oh, that's cool, but I don't really want to build funnels for other people.
And then by day four, they're like, I bought it anyway because the offer's so good.
So the day, the third way is like is using, like leveraging the skill set you learn to create your own guru business, right?
Where you are the expert or maybe you do this with somebody who's a partner who's an expert, right?
And so the key with this is like you're leveraging the frameworks that you're learning.
Okay.
It's interesting.
I've seen this happen a lot of times,
but the person I was the closest to that I'd know his story the most was Steve Larson, right?
Steve Larson, he always wanted to build a guru business, but he didn't have a product or anything yet, right?
And so instead, he's like, well, I'm learning the skill.
It's fun.
I love it.
Let me get paid to learn this long the way, right?
So he was getting paid.
And so I think I told you guys a story.
He wanted to come to first funnel Hiking Live and he couldn't afford a ticket for $1,000
bucks. And so he went and he emailed a bunch of his friends, kind of like a Stephanie Blake
indecent proposal. Like, hey, I'll build you a funnel for a thousand bucks. I need a thousand
dollars to go to this event. And so somebody gave him a thousand bucks and he bought a ticket. And then
he's like, oh, crap, I should ask for more because I don't have flights. So, email a couple more
people, some more indecent proposals. And I was like, hey, I'll, you know, I need a flight.
It's going to cost me, whatever. I'll build a funnel. So he got that one and then
hotel. So he ended up selling three funnels to pay for his flights, hotels, and tickets.
And he got there, right? Learn the skills that came back, built those people things and got paid to
learn. And then he came and started working for me and he both follows with me and for me for
me for two or three years and he got better and better and better. And then when he was like,
all right, I'm ready to go out of my own. I want to be a guru. I want to share my expertise and
my ideas. He didn't have to go figure it out. He's like, wait, all I have a skill set. This is
great. And he put it together and launched it. And he was up off the race, was making money
almost instantly. Whereas if he would start the guru business, you know, four years earlier,
he would have been like, I don't have money for ads. I don't know what I'm doing. Like my funnel is not
converting, it doesn't even work very well, like all those things. It would have been like three or four
years of trial and error. Instead, he went to the whole process and got paid the whole way on other
people's dimes. He was learning it and understanding and mastering it. And then when he was ready to step in
the limelight, he had all the skillsets he needed to be able to do that and do it fast. And so that's kind of
the third piece. And so I know a lot of you guys, it's like, you're not really sure what you want
to do long term. And that's okay. But I still think the path is the path. Start the very beginning.
Increase your business, increase your skills. Learn that skill set. And if you're like, I want to go
an agency, cool, go down that path, go down the agency route. If not, if you're like,
now I know the skill sets, I want to plug in my course, my book, my product, my thing,
then leverage these frameworks to your understanding and mastering, you're getting paid to learn
along the way. And then from there, now you can launch your business very, very quickly.
So now the really cool thing, too, is for all of you who are wanting to be gurus,
the great thing about the certification program is one of the bonuses that's included is offer
secrets, right? And that's literally where we suggest that every single guru start is with your
offer with this amazing course that I have a couple of videos in too. I know it's very,
very good. It's the best product, right? So you can be building your offer and kind of take your
time with that, right? You can really perfect your offer while you're getting paid, right? While you're
getting paid. So that's also included, right? If you're wanting to do a lifestyle business,
it's included in the path, right? If you're wanting to do the agency business, it's included
in a certification program. If you're wanting to do a guru business, Russell's already given you
the exact place to start with that too, which is so cool. Well, and if I could add maybe my experience
as well, when I started a certification program, I actually had no idea what I wanted to do,
whatsoever. All I knew is that I wanted to make, I was, I was still 10 years away from finding my
husband and 12 years away from having kids. But in my heart, I was like, I knew I wanted to be a mother
and I knew I wanted to take over the world. Like, I knew those two things exist.
And so when I came across, when I learned about funnels, I was like, oh my gosh, if I'm not an idiot about this, maybe I could build this in a certain way.
So then the certification program came up and I was like, and I'll talk about this labor.
I was like, I got to do this.
Like I have to do this.
And I'm so grateful that I did because all I had at that point, I didn't have words.
I had like yearnings and feelings where I was like, oh, I know I'm more than this.
I know, but I don't know what I'm doing.
I just know I got to make money and I got to have experience.
I'm taking over the world.
What does that mean?
No idea, but I'm doing it, you know?
And I'm going to have kids.
I'm going to figure out how to do it both and once.
And the most beautiful thing about being in the certification program and building other people's funnels is I got to open up.
Like I got to get like a backstage pass to so many different people's businesses.
And I remember when I first started, I was like, you know what I'm going to do?
I'm going to build a book empire.
I'm going to just write like seven to 10 books a year.
I'm going to put them on Amazon books, Kindle.
You know, it's going to be amazing, blah, blah.
And I even actually wrote a book.
And I was like, okay.
But then I went and I actually built a funnel for someone.
who had one of those and I was like, oh, actually this is terrible.
This is actually not fun business.
I was like, I don't like working on it.
And I was so grateful because I got to taste it without any expense to myself.
In fact, I made money because of that.
And same thing, I just got to look behind so many people's backdoor businesses.
And interestingly enough, I almost kind of giggle.
Like, how did I become the funnel design girl?
I didn't even know what that was.
I didn't know design.
I didn't know funnels.
But because I continued along the path, what I was able to do was identify where is a gap.
where is a gap? What do people keep asking for help with? And it was only because I had done it in so
many different people's businesses that, again, what's my strength is patterns? I could start to hear
the patterns like, what is everybody wanting? And I think a lot of you will do the same too.
You can use it as a chance to get paid to do research on what you want to do to take over the world.
And I was just so grateful that I had that opportunity because if somebody would ask me in college
or two years later or even two years into my entrepreneur journey, Catherine, what do you want to do?
take over the world.
If somebody would have said the phrase,
funnel design to me, it would have been,
you know, Mandarin. I don't, I don't know.
It would have been, I wouldn't even know what they were saying,
but because I was able to experiment,
that's how I found my way to the guru path.
And if I'm honest, I actually play both games still.
I play, I can do a dabble in all three of them.
But it's great because I'm like,
I have the skills so I can do it on my own.
And I have a team that can help me in certain parts.
And if I find a client that I really love and I want to serve,
great I play with them you know what I mean it's like it's so awesome it's so great so for those of
you're like I don't know which one I didn't either but it provided it's almost like you get paid
to go to school to figure out what you want to do so yeah and now she is a mom and took over the
world yeah we did it um so cool all right so there is the the compass right step number one is knowing
where you're actually going having absolute certainty that the path you're on is the right
path, you know you're going to go the right way. It's not like, should I go here or go here? And
like, that's where so many people get stuck is this constant, just like not knowing what to do.
The uncertainty, they're trying this, testing that. And so number one is the compass, okay?
Number two now is the cash. And this is one that I know a lot of people who did get started or
freaking out because I don't know if I have this much cash or this is all the cash I had.
Some people who haven't got started yet because I don't have the cash. And so I want to step back
and because I remember this vividly. I know it was a while ago for me, but I remember when
when I, the very first time I had the opportunity to make an investment.
I just gotten married.
So I, I'm 22 years old, right?
My wife is about five and a half years older than me.
So she was supporting us, but she was making $9.50 an hour.
So that was like, that was what we were living on.
I was a college athlete.
I was wrestling.
I had no job, no skills, other than wrestling.
I had skills there, but nothing else, right?
And so she's supporting me.
So we're like, we don't have any money.
And I remember the very first time I got offered an opportunity, right?
And it was, Mark Joyner was the first guy.
He's selling a course.
And I remember it was $1,000.
And I was just like, oh, I don't have a thousand.
We don't have a thousand dollars in credit.
Like, I don't have the ability to buy this.
And I remember just being sad because I was like, I want this.
I can't afford it.
And I remember, I remember that about the time it was like, it was like Novemberous or something.
And I was in this little house that we had, we were renting.
And I remember looking out the window.
And there was this huge oak tree.
And I lived in it was a duplex.
So we were in one half.
And then the guy who owned the duplex lived in the other half.
And there was a huge oak tree.
And there was just tons of leaps all over the ground.
And I remember first looking at it.
And I was kind of annoyed like, dude, I'm paying you rent.
You should get cleaning this stuff up, right?
And then I looked at it a little longer.
And I was like, huh.
I was like, I wonder if there's an opportunity here.
And so I walked over to the cross the little pathway to the other door and knock the door.
And he opens the door.
I was like, hey, Mike, how's it going?
And he's like, good, how you doing?
I'm like, hey, I don't have nothing happening today.
It's Saturday.
I need a extra money.
Can I, will you pay me to break up these lease?
And he's like, oh, that'd be amazing.
He's like, I don't know.
What's the worth?
He's like, if I hire some probably cost me at $200 or something, I'm like, done.
I'll do $200.
He's like, really?
I'm like, yeah.
He's like, okay, he gives me $200.
I'm like, oh, so I have $200, but I don't have a rake.
So then I go, I take the $200.
I drive to Home Depot.
I buy a rake and I buy a tarp because I'm like,
where am I gonna put all these leaves, right?
So I come back down.
One of my friends had a truck, I borrowed his truck.
We come over and we rake it up and put it on this tarp.
We throw in the back to the truck and we go drive it,
summer dump button.
You do that back and forth and back and forth.
And when all of a sudden down, I have like $175 left.
I'm like, that was awesome.
And now I got a rake and I got a tarp
and I have an empty truck.
So we go to some other houses, big old trees,
you're like, hey, can we rake your leaves?
And like, yeah, it'd be awesome.
How much, like, $200?
Like, yeah.
And we did that one and we did next one.
And within five houses, I had the $1,000 to go and actually invest in this course.
And that course is the thing that changed my life.
And so whenever I think about that, I always think about like people like, I don't have the money.
And it's not like a, it always comes back to like it being a resource for money.
I don't have the resources.
I don't have the resources.
You have to understand that entrepreneurs are never successful because they have the resources.
Okay.
Entrepreneurs are successful because they're resourceful.
Sounds the same, but it's not.
Resources are the things you have.
Resourcefulness is who you are.
right that's the big difference okay um if you've read the book rich dad poor dad um one of my favorite
books of all time but robert kees talking this book he has a rich dad and a poor dad right and so his
whole life he's he's going between these two different people that have different mindsets and different
things and he said that whenever my my poor dad look at something he would see this opportunity
he's like oh i can't afford that and he just knows over time is every time an opportunity
came to his dad i can't afford that and then when an opportunity came to his dad his dad is rich dad
say huh how can i afford that now it's almost the same words like look at the words like
They're just like in a little bit of order of instead, I can't afford that's how can I afford that?
It was crazy.
When as soon as you ask the right question, your brain, give you the right answers.
Okay.
If you tell your brand, I can't afford that, your brain's like, sweet, I don't have to work.
I don't worry about this.
We're good.
We can't afford it.
You stop.
Like, how can I afford this?
Then your brain's like, well, hey, there's leafs outslide.
You can go rake them.
Oh, you can go, you know, whatever.
And also the opportunity, the idea is start showing up.
I think for so many guys, in fact, Wednesday, before we made the offer, I saw three or four people in the comments in the chats,
We're like, I can't afford this.
I'm like, you haven't even seen the price.
This could be 25 cents.
You don't even know, right?
And I was just like, oh, like, it's the broke mindset.
It's like you got to start looking at things differently, right?
If you want to become successful, you want to like for Robert Keystock,
you wanted to be like his rich dad.
Well, how does my rich dad think?
Okay.
Do you think I had the money to build click funnels?
When we were building click funnels, guess who I has competing against?
There's a company called Lead Pages.
It's a company called Infusion Soft had just taken on $110 million in funding.
And there's me and Todd.
My credit card had a $1,000 limit on it.
It was halfway maxed out.
Okay?
So we had 500 bucks.
Do we have the resources to win?
No.
What did we have?
We're very resourceful, right?
You have to be resourceful.
Okay, that's how you win this game.
Yeah, understanding the money, okay?
So like every single time now that I come to a situation,
it's like the thing he's like, how can I afford that?
How can I afford that?
How can I afford that?
Okay.
I had a vision a couple years ago.
I've supposed to build this event center and this museum and these books.
And so, and like, this journey is,
been one of the hardest things in the world phase. It's like, it's like stretching my imagination
on how to do it. And I cannot afford to do this thing. But at every step along with, how can
afford it? How can I afford it? How can I afford it? Right? It's crazy because like we're in the
process of breaking ground. Everything's happening now. It all came on the backside of this with like me
not saying, I can't afford that. It's me having a dream and say, okay, how can I afford that? What's it
going to take? What I got to do? What I got to create? Who do I got to serve? Who can I talk to?
who can I leverage? Like, what does that look like? Okay. The difference of people win and people
are those who understand, like, it's all about the questions you ask yourself. You ask the right
questions, you get the right answers. So I want you just thinking about this, like, how can I afford
that? What is, what do I have to be able to do it? To be leveraging so I can actually be successful
in this thing. When you switch from being, not having the resources to being resourceful,
that's when your life will change dramatically. Okay. All right. Next up is...
Well, and so I would love to tell my story, if that's okay, specifically in regard to the
certification program. Because what I...
What happened for me, and if you see this slide here, this was, this was 2017, Little Catherine.
And I had kind of, you know, I'm on this quest.
I'm like, how do I make money and have kids at the same time?
Like, I was just like, I don't, I just have to figure this out.
So you were amazing and you found me, you know, on the internet somehow, an ad or whatever.
And all of a sudden I see this certification program and I watch your webinar that you did.
And it gets to the end and it's $10,000.
And I was like, who's $10,000?
in their young 20s.
I'm like, I don't know, maybe people do, but I was like, I didn't have $20,000.
I was like, dang it.
But I knew, like, I just, I knew somehow.
I was like, and what's so crazy, I talked about, like, I didn't know what I want to do,
but I knew I wanted to take over the world.
Like, again, all that happened for me, it was like the next step was illuminated.
Whereas, like, I don't know everything I need to do, but I know I need to be in that program.
And I just like, I knew that I had to.
I didn't have the money.
So I'm trying to figure out how do I get the money, right?
And I'm like, crap.
I don't have $10,000 with a credit either.
one of my young trainees, I was like, I don't know, I can't do this. So I had this idea. I had a full-time
job at the time, and I decided that I'd asked my boss a little bit, a little bit different than
Stephanie, but I just went straight to the source, right? And rather than posing it of like,
hey, like, can you, can you help me start a side hustle? Because that's not going to work, right?
I said, what if I use these skills to help the business? And so it was an investment into their
employee. So I want to show you, I couldn't find the email, but I want to show you, I rewrote it
what it was. And so this was essentially what the thing was. So I sent my boss's email. We got on the
phone, blah, blah. But I said, hey, I can help your company make more money. And I just said,
hey, I said, I want to run something by you. I've been looking into Russell Brunson's funnel builder
certification course. And he knew about you because when I read your book, I lost my mind. I told him.
Yes. I was like, you got to write that book. It was amazing. So anyway, and at the time,
it was $10,000 for me. And I said, I think it could be a really smart investment for us,
us, the company, right? This course teaches how to build high converting sales funnels. And I
did immediately apply everything I learned to our business. My goal would be to generate way more
than I said $10,000 back in new leads and sales. I'm fully committed to making this pay off for you.
Basically, you'd have an in-house funnel expert without the cost of hiring an agency.
I really think this can move the needle for us. What do you think? I'd love to chat about it
whenever you have a few minutes. And you want to know what's so awesome.
As that my boss was like, wait, that's amazing. And he's like, do you think I could do it too?
I was like, sure. He's like, this just sounds so fun. Let's do it together. And he goes, he's like,
I don't want to be the builder, but I want to understand the strategy.
And he's like, so maybe we could both do it together.
And so we actually called your team and we're like, can we do like a double?
Anyways, you guys, anyway, so it was awesome.
So you said, no, but you don't have to buy two full.
In fact, that was really funny.
You're like, you don't have to buy full two spots, but you got to buy more than one spots.
It was funny.
So I figured I deal with your team.
But all to say that it was actually like such a gift to my boss because he was like,
I see the future is online and he's like, I don't have time to do it, but I want to know how to think like it.
And he's like, so I'll just like watch the videos.
and then we can speak the same language,
and then you actually go and build it.
And I was like, I was like, this is even better, you know?
I was like, awesome, blah, blah, so we could like talk the same language.
But for him, it was no problem.
I mean, like, he wrote his more than $10,000 check and just like,
it was amazing.
And he said, and what he said, he's like, yeah, just send me the link.
So we like mess to 14.
They're like, yeah, sure, blah, blah.
We'll figure it on the back end, sent the league signed up.
And there it was.
And so, and like, if you guys don't think, this is the only picture.
I have. So this was another, like, certified partner person there. Anyway, I don't even have a picture of Russell. I think I told him. I was too afraid to go say hi to him. I was just like, I was so afraid to go say hi to him. I was just like, I was so afraid to go, I was like, I was just like, I was so nervous. I was like, I knew. And the certification program, we used to fly here. It was like, oh, this whole thing. But I, I just like, when I learned all the program, I didn't know the whole picture, but I knew the next step. And I knew that that was the next step. And I knew that that was the next.
step and I was like, I've got to figure out how to do it. And so really, in my resourcefulness,
I thought, who do I know that has the money to invest in this? Like, who would it be no problem
for, for them to write the check? That, and I think the second important thing was, and that
it could actually benefit them, too. It's not like, oh, I'm doing you a favor. And he was
thrilled to write the check for me. He was like, that's such a great idea rather than like,
fine, I'm doing a favor, blah, and because I positioned it that way, and it was great.
We built amazing funnels inside there. I started building funnels on the side, and it was this
amazing thing because I almost got like double practice if that makes sense. I got practice
inside of that inside the place I was working. I got practice outside. So by the time I actually
left, I had the skills sufficient and I had the money sufficient because I was getting paid full time
and I was making money on the side. I was like, oh, I can do, I can do this. Like, I really can do this.
And so that's how it worked. I would make funnels during the week. And at night, I try to find clients.
And then on Saturdays, I would just, I would sell often funnels. I would just like try and do as many
$500 opt-in funnels as I could on the weekends. And then start again at the next day week and I'd work full-time,
Find clients at night Saturdays, and that's just like how I played the game.
You guys catch that.
It was really cool.
She was charging $500 for a lead funnel.
And so she spent all week during her off time selling them.
And then on Saturday she comes, you tell me two nights ago you told me,
you tell me, like some Saturdays that have one, some Saturdays that had 10.
You just bust them out.
And every Saturdays your work day and the rest of the week you were selling.
And you're going to learn a little bit later.
Anyway, a little bit more to that story and how you guys can kind of figure out that same thing.
But I just want to, we want to just paint pictures for you in terms of what resourcefulness
can look like and and how it can still be a really responsible I think I think a lot of times like I
know for me I'm like I want to be responsible like like even right now like I have two children I want to
make sure that they're taking care of like I don't want to be reckless but there's a difference between
recklessness where it's like I'm going to put my family at risk and resourcefulness and what you
did with the leaves didn't put you in collette at risk what I did with asking my boss didn't put I
I wasn't you know what I mean like I wasn't going to be on the streets um and and and it's
again, I'm not here to decide what reckless is for you or what that is. And that's not what we're
trying to convey at all. But there are ways to be resourceful in a way where you can still take
care of the things in the stewardship that you have and move forward on the path that you feel called
to move forward on, if that makes sense. I want to add one other real quick thing because right now
one or two things has happened. She just mentioned that. I was like, that's awesome for her,
but I don't have a boss that I know we're like. And so you do this to the same thing. I can't
afford that instead of stop saying hey I don't have a boss but who else do I know who has a
business oh I have a chiropractor like oh I go to the dentist oh there's a guy that church with me
he's got a whatever and he needs a funnel oh my gosh like I walked down the street there's
eight other people like like maybe your boss is in it but don't say I can't do it because I don't
have a boss that could do it's like coming back to like how can I make this work like who else
do I know who this would benefit them okay the reality is every single business needs a funnel
So do you know any other business owners that go to church with you that go to the gym with you?
Is it the owner of your gym?
Is it personal trainer?
Personal trainers need funnels.
Like start being resource.
Like who do I know who this would also benefit?
Who has the resources that I could do this for them and it's going to be a win-win, right?
And that opens up the door to tons of ideas, right?
So how can I afford to start thinking differently?
And I think to that resource, just like you said, it's a difference between an amazing entrepreneur and an entrepreneur that eventually gives up.
and the skill of resourcefulness is just that it's a skill.
And the more resourceful you could be,
you just talked about this.
Like,
you needed to be resourceful when you needed to make $1,000.
And now you're needing to be resourceful, right?
Where you're like, I need to make this.
Yeah, well, you're like, I need to build a library.
And it's like, it's not on the budget, right?
But the skill of resourcefulness is what allows you to leverage,
I think, other assets that God and your circumstances
I've been put into your life to help you guys all along the same path.
So anyway, so yeah, I just want to,
point out, I think how amazing is that if we train our eyes, it's a skill. If we train our eyes to
see what's available to us, the whole world changes. Our whole opportunities change. And we are
able to go from this and depressed and I'm alone and I'm isolated to being able to look at everything
with such different eyes. It's a way, a lighter way to live when it's, I can't afford this
too. What does God put in my path? What opportunities have been given to me?
to allow me to afford this.
And that state of gratitude, that state of open-mindedness, that state of high-frequency,
that changes everything.
And what's crazy is that nothing around us changed.
It was just the glasses that we decided to put on.
I love that.
So friends, we want to check in with you really fast as we move to our next C, just of this
identity shift, if this time will be different, if you feel like you are resourceful,
and this time, even if in the past you've been like, oh, maybe I was a little bit scared.
I should have been more resourceful there.
Does it feel like this time will be different so far?
If so I want to write yes in the chat.
Yes.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Okay, so we're starting to fill in these things that maybe you have had a lack of,
but now we are helping give these things to you so that you can move forward.
Our next C that has been holding you back that we want to give you access to is you've had the lack of camouflage.
So I want to talk to all the people who when Catherine said, I went to my boss.
You had a panic attack.
You were like, my boss can literally not know him at this event.
Or maybe you're sitting at your full-time job with this in your headphones.
And you're like, nodding to people as they walk by.
I will get fired if anyone finds out I'm on this.
Literally, yes.
Like hiding your computer.
And that might be you, right?
You may think nobody can know.
Nobody can know.
And on Wednesday, I taught you how to juke the bus, not get hit by a bus.
But we taught you how to find clients on social.
media, right? It might have even been on day one. Maybe you were one of the people who didn't post
the curious student post because you were like, if somebody sees that I am in another training,
something bad will happen, right? And there's two different reasons why my guess is those of you
who didn't post didn't do it. Yeah, so we did teach you to find clients on social media.
But what if you didn't have to? What if we could give you some camouflage?
to make you feel a little bit more confident.
Yeah, if that sounds like, I need that, I want to write camo in the chat.
Give me some camo.
Give me the camo.
Now, there's usually two reasons why people need this camouflage.
Yeah, and you're still going to be able to use all of the skills that we talked about on Wednesday.
So first we're going to talk about why would you not post?
Yeah, the first one is, my boss literally cannot know.
I'll get fired.
Yeah, if you're thinking to yourself, oh my gosh, I can't get leads because I can't get fired.
You are a lot like a friend that I have who we were literally going through and saying like,
you got to do this.
You got to do this certification program.
This is several years ago.
And every single piece of it, he was down for until we got to that you have to go get clients.
And he was so afraid that he was going to get fired.
He was like, listen, like, this is my livelihood.
Like, yes, I want to be a funnel builder.
I think this is so fantastic.
I want to be a funnel builder, but I can't lose my current income in my transition phase.
Yeah, my goal is to replace my income and not only have a BSI hustle, like, I want to go all in on this, but I'm feeling really nervous in the transition, right?
If this is you, if maybe you have felt this, right, in the chat, right?
He was like, I don't know.
It's just too scary.
It's just too scary.
I can't lose my job.
So he was fearful to even start.
Right?
And what I thought is, I'm like, oh, well, if he had.
a little bit of camouflage where he didn't have to worry about going and posting on social media
or his boss ever finding out, he could actually move forward without that risk. Yeah, so we are
going to teach you something today to give you a little bit of camouflage from your boss. Yeah,
if that sounds good, I want you to write, hey, in the chat. Yay. Now, there's a second reason why
you wouldn't post where, yes, my boss can't know I might get fired. There's another reason.
you may be a little bit embarrassed and you may be thinking I don't want people to think we need money
you may be thinking no one can know now I have a friend who her and her husband had just moved into
this giant new house in this white picket fence neighborhood and they really felt like they had
things figured out that their dreams were coming true you know their three kids were in soccer
dance and they felt like they had really kind of hit their stride. And then her husband lost her job,
or lost his job. And they looked at each other and they were like, okay, I think we can hold our
breath. Got a new mortgage, got soccer bills, got all these things. But I think we can hold our
breath for a couple months while you start to get a new job, right? She was a stay-at-home mom.
And three months, turned to six months, turned to seven months, turned to ten months. And
where they had thought like, we can just tighten our belts a little bit, hold our breath a little bit, and we'll be fine.
All of a sudden, that, like, tightened belt started to suffocate him, where they were like, we literally can't breathe.
We can't live without income.
And they're looking at all these activities that their kids had just joined, right?
They looked at this big, expensive mortgage they just had, and they were like, oh, my gosh, like, we don't want to pull our kids out of these activities.
We don't want to lose our house.
What are we going to do?
Right.
And he had been working really hard to try to find a job.
So she decides she's like, okay, I am going to go and I'm going to get my real estate license.
So she did.
She went and she got a real estate license.
But very quickly, she was introduced to something she didn't know that she had felt about herself.
And what she realized is that real estate agents, like every industry, in order to get clients, you have to let them know that you're open for business.
You have to let them know that you have started this new career.
And she really didn't like that.
The first thing she didn't want to happen is she didn't want to embarrass her husband.
who had been trying to get this job for so long of being like,
hey, I'm taken over.
And she didn't want people to think that they needed the money,
which is normal, which is totally fine.
So she did get a real estate license,
but then she started telling people any friends or family
or the people who she could have closed, you know,
immediately and helped out,
she started doing it for free because she didn't want people
to think that she needed the money.
Now, this,
I'm going to tell you, like, the story, they didn't lose their house, right?
They had to cancel or they had to pull their kids out of a couple of activities.
Eventually, her husband did get a job.
But the devastating thing is she actually loved it.
She actually was so good at it.
And she felt like she couldn't love it and do it and go all in because she was embarrassed of
needing to start something new.
And if I would have told her in this moment,
you know, I can look at it and be like, man, you just be brave. Just be brave. Like, who cares what everybody
thinks? That's absolutely one way to approach it, but these feelings are valid and these feelings are real, right? And if she
would have heard this curious student and then get hit by a bus, she would have stopped to the curious
student and she wouldn't have followed through. So I thought in this moment, if I truly wanted to
help my friend, instead of trying to be like, no, just do it. I thought, what if we gave her some
resources, right? What would have happened had I given her a little bit of camouflage, right?
If I would have told her, listen, nobody has to know. Nobody has to know that you are making
this money that you need this money. What if we could teach you instead of closing publicly,
if we could teach you how to close in the DMs. Yeah, so if you are down for closing in the DMs,
I want you to write DMs in the chat. DMs. Now, to close in the DMs, we're going to do a couple
things. Yeah, to close in the DMs, we have to actually find people that we can DM. We do have to do that. And I
promise you're going to be able to use the skills from hit by a bus, right? That process is still going to be
the same, but nobody's going to know. Yeah, we're like doing it in the dark. Yeah, so the very first thing
that we're going to do is we are going to look for people. Now, we're not going to look for just a lot of
random people. We are going to actually find clients in groups. And I'm going to show you how
you guys already intuitively know how to do this. Do we remember good man's last?
6364.
We love Goodman's Live 6364.
Hope we can meet him someday.
I know.
We got to get that kind of voice.
He is an inspiration.
I wanted you to see what he did.
I don't actually know.
Oh, he did post it on his personal page.
But let's say Good Man's Life, 6364, which I want to point out is not a first and last
name, right?
Goodman's Life, 6364.
Let's say he didn't post on his personal page, right?
But there are 45 business pages that he's a member of right now.
He wouldn't necessarily have had to post in those groups.
And I'm going to show you what I mean in order to find these same clients.
Yeah, and he had 12 people message him and he got on two Zoom calls.
Yeah, so people who want the same things, they gather together.
Yeah, they gather together.
So they gather in Facebook groups, in LinkedIn, in school, in WAP, and Reddit,
in so many different places.
Yeah, so what we have to do is we don't have to ask for clients the way that we do with
the curious student.
This time we're going to find them.
Yeah?
So there are some people who are really, really obvious.
They are actually posting, I am looking for what you do.
Right.
This is a really obvious example.
Hey, everyone, we're looking for a skilled click funnel designer.
Right?
You are looking for them.
You are finding them.
And then with what we're going to teach you in just a second with the scripts, you're
going to DM them.
Yeah, they are literally posting, hey, can you help me do this very specific thing?
You go to that group where they're gathered and you say, that's a person I'm in a DM.
Yeah, if this makes sense so far, I just want you to write yes in the chat.
Yes. It should feel very simple.
Okay. Next, you see this again. I'm looking for a funnel audit for someone who has experience with real estate agents, right? For Mary Ann, Marianne, who was day one, who she came and spoke. She said, I used to be a real estate agent. And now the first thing I did was I built funnels for real estate agents. She has experience with real estate agents because she used to be one and she knows had to build a funnel. So if she saw Tom posting in this group, she could go find Tom and she would DM.
him right now some people don't post hey I'm looking for a funnel or I'm looking for this specific
thing instead they're hiding in plain sight right so I want you to see what they're doing is they're
posting about being in pain they're posting that like I need one of the three things that we talked
about I need more leads I need more sales or I need more appointments yeah if they use any of these phrases
sell appointments leads anything like that then you know they are already primed and asking for
somebody to help them, somebody with your skill set. Yeah, it says, hi, this, is this the expert temple
funnel right for me? I just started OFA. I want to sell women in my low ticket fitness membership.
If you just saw, I want to sell women, right, in my this, in my low ticket membership, you would know
that this person would need help. Yeah, now, the next thing that we're going to do is we are going to
comment and slide into the DMs. Yeah, if this makes sense, I want you to write, I got it in the chat.
I got it. Because we're going to start to give you some actual
scripts to do this. Yeah, now, what you're going to do is you're going to say, hey, Julie,
the funnel you need is called a sales funnel, which you know, I'd love to walk you through it and
make sure that you get all set up. I'm sending you a DM now to get connected. Yeah, so this is
your comment. This is your comment. Now, the reason why we comment before we slide into the DMs
is so they know that it's coming so that if you go to their requested folder, if you're not
friends of them on Facebook or not connected to them in LinkedIn, that they are aware of it.
Yeah, they're aware of it.
Maybe you haven't friended them yet.
You comment, you can friend them and then send them a DM.
Yeah, if this makes sense, I want to try comment in the chat.
Comment.
So first, we comment so that it doesn't go ignore it in the DMs.
Next, we're going to actually send this script.
It says, I'm going through this crazy intensive training right now on building sales
funnels.
I'm actually getting pretty good at it.
But I need to practice on real businesses, not just fake ones.
So I'm looking for two to three people who'd let me build their first page of their funnel for free.
You said you need more sales.
I'll build you a sales funnel.
No catch.
I just want the experience and a testimonial way.
If you love it, can I get started on yours?
Should sound very familiar.
You may have seen this message before on day one.
Right?
But now, because Julie asked for something very specific, instead of saying you need sales, you need leads, you need this, you just change it to, you need a sales funnel.
I'll build you a sales funnel.
Yeah.
So we comment.
We pull up a DM.
And instead of posting it our own wall or in a group, we've actually messaged these people.
There's about a dozen people who keep asking what a DM is.
Just you guys don't get stuck there.
DM is a direct message.
So on Facebook, you would go, you see the post.
You would comment in there, just like you're a normal post.
And then you go up to Messenger or you actually click on the person's name and there's
things as a messenger or send a message.
And that's a direct message.
And that's a direct message.
You're like, hey, I just posted it.
I just post the thing over here.
Boom.
And then that way you can talk directly one-on-one with them hidden in camouflage behind the
scenes.
So your boss, your friends, nobody sees it.
It's all happening to the DM.
DMs to the only people that will ever see that direct message. Like if you and I direct message,
only you and me would ever see that chat. Yeah. You also, I mean, any sort of personal message,
you can use this tactic. You could use it in a text message. Yeah. Right. You could literally
find somebody and say, send me your phone number or here's my phone number and I will text you. Right.
You could go into a business, right? If you didn't want to comment and you wanted to close them in a
text message or get a business phone number and you could text them this message. Right. Remember,
the most important part is the camouflage part where we say you don't have to,
publicly say, I am trying to become a freelancer or I need money or any of these things,
right? You can actually send a personal message that is private, that's hidden that camouflage
behind just the privacy of a message back and forth. The different platforms that have a
messaging feature, Facebook does, you can message back and forth, you can send an individual
message. Instagram does. You can message back and forth. LinkedIn does, absolutely.
School does, right? There's a lot of different platforms. Most social media platforms have a
messenger part to it.
Yeah.
So you guys at the end of today, too, can go and just look and be like, oh, that's where I
send a message.
That's where I send a message.
Yeah, if this makes sense.
Yeah, if you know what a DM is now, right?
DM in the chat.
Let's go.
Money in the DMs.
Money in the DMs.
Awesome.
So, do you want to keep going?
Yep.
Oh.
Yeah.
Let's keep going.
I love it.
Anyway, so that's what you're going to send again.
You're going to send the comment and then you'll go ahead and follow up with the message.
Okay.
So if you're going to close in the DMs,
okay. The purpose being I either don't want people to know that I need money like your friend
whose husband had a hard time finding a job or I don't want my boss to fire me. I need to do this,
but I can't let people know that I'm doing this. That's when you're going to tweak the initial
strategy rather than saying, hey, I'm posting on my personal stuff. Everybody see. We're instead
looking for people in pain, looking for people who ask for help, comment and then continue on
with just about the same message inside of that direct message. So the only step that you're tweaking,
We're like, find a lead, give them a free sample, hit by a bus.
The only part that's tweaked of the plan is how we go about finding those potential clients.
Yep.
Which is nice.
A lot of people, I posted nobody responded back to me.
It's like, now you have a proactive way to go get people.
You're just waiting for them to come to you.
And that makes sense, too, right?
Like some people might post on their personal page.
And the only people that they're friends with are people that don't have businesses, right?
So how awesome is this?
They're literally thousands and thousands of pre-gathered groups of people that do have businesses.
You guys want a secret?
This is really simple.
You go to Facebook and, well, there, you go to Facebook and you can search by, you search,
and then you can search by pages, whatever, and you search for groups, and then type in
photography business groups.
And I'll show, here's all the photography business groups.
Chiropractor.
You know, like, fungal building, life coaches, like, dentists.
There's millions of groups.
Like, there's no, you know, and like, good man, blah, blah, blah.
Yeah, three fours.
He's in 45 groups.
Like, go join 45 different groups.
get in there, start asking what, and in those groups, you can also post like, hey, I'm taking this funnel
to fillable certification. I just made a first lead funnel. Check this out. And people start messaging.
And that's not on your personal profiles. It's in this group that's only people in the group to get
a seat. But then you start getting leads like there's so many ways, so many ways to do it.
Totally. Something that's so cool as well is like if you remember Marianne at the very first day,
she had expertise in real estate and now she has the funnel builder skills. So like if you have a skill,
If you are an artist, if you are a CPA, if you, like, if your full-time job has given you
any sort of expertise or skill, one thing you can do is you can say like, oh, I know how to
combine me.
So I'm a funnel builder with an expertise or emphasis in real estate.
And all of a sudden you have a leg up now.
Someone might call that.
Someone might call that resourcefulness.
And interesting enough, you can actually charge more when you're a funnel builder
for real estate agents, funnel builder for a specific market.
You become a specialist and you can charge more.
Yeah, it's awesome.
Love it.
Okay.
So if we go back.
If we look at this slide here, if we go back to the overarching process, if we don't want to
close people, if we don't want to find clients publicly, can you get this slide up here?
Perfect.
What we're going to do, if we don't want anyone to know, then we're going to go find clients and groups,
we're going to comment, then we're going to slide into their DMs with the exact same thing
we were saying before.
You're going to give them the free sample, hit by the bus, bada bing, bada boom.
If you guys understand, say, I understand.
Actually, this is what I want you to do, say, will this time be different?
If this time's going to be different, will you put different in the chat?
That's what I want.
Let's go.
Different, different, different.
With this information alone, could the trajectory of this time be different?
Good.
We're just getting started.
Just let's get started, okay?
Okay, because now what might happen is you say, okay, I got the compass.
I understand like the long term plan.
I understand this is going to work for me in the long run.
Cash.
Okay.
I have resource for this good.
I can go rake leaves.
I can go get a scholarship.
I can go figure out what happens.
Okay, cash.
Not a problem.
Okay.
Camoufl.
I can't let anybody know.
No problem.
I'm not going to sell publicly.
I'm going to sell in my DM.
So you're like, okay, that makes sense.
I can't worry about compass.
No problem.
They took care of it.
Can't worry about cash?
No problem.
I don't have to do this so people can see.
Took care of it.
But now you might say, I am going to lose my mind.
I am so afraid.
I'm shaking in my boots.
I literally going to throw up right now.
I am so afraid.
Sometimes when the path is so clear, it's almost more scary because you run out of
excuses. You can't be like, oh, that path's not going to work. Oh, that's a little dangerous. It's like,
no, that is the path. And the only problem, yes, I'm scared. The only problem is I'm the one that
has to take a step. And I'm going to, I'm so afraid. I'm petrified. And I know we've all
experienced that to different duties. Is anybody in that where you're like, crap, I think I believe
them about this whole path thing. I think I believe them. It's, I just, I got to be brave.
If anyone's terrified, we've been terrified in the chat. I want to see. I want to see where my people are.
Be honest. Yes, I want to see where my people are. If you're a little afraid still.
Good.
It is sometimes, I actually experienced this.
You don't know when I met my husband, well, he was my boyfriend at the time.
Also, I remember, I literally remember the day when I thought, I'm going to marry him.
And I was so excited and it was immediately followed by, I am so scared because I, like, it was just such a, it was a change.
It meant so much.
It meant so much.
I was so invested.
And it was crazy.
I was like, I'm excited.
Boom.
Fear.
Like it was immediate.
I literally remember where it was.
I could tell you my address of the apartment.
that I was. I was standing in my garage because I just said goodbye to him. And I was like,
it's over, it's happening. And I literally, it's so crazy. I was so excited. And then I was so
afraid because I knew, I knew that if I took any other path, I'd be not denying my true self.
I knew, like, there was no other excuses for me. Like, there was not like, oh, I'm worried about
this. I'm worried about this. Or maybe he's not the one for this. Or it was like, no, it is
Travis. It is Travis. And if I do anything else, I'm selling myself short on the life that I
hope I can have. And so I was like, crap. And so I had to overcome these fears, right, of like,
what does it mean to tie your life to somebody and merge dreams together? And what does this look?
I was so afraid. So some of you might be having that moment, too, where you're like, I'm so excited,
this is it, right? He drops the offer. What? Free? It's AI free. Free everything I want. And then you're
like, crap. I think maybe I have to do this, which is I got to look some demons in the face, right?
So if any of you're like this, you might have a lack of courage. And we want to talk to you about this concept
of 20 seconds of insane courage.
So I kind of want to pick up on the story if it's okay.
So I finished the program.
So I got my boss to pay for it.
I finished the program.
I'm a nerd, right?
So I'm a very dedicated student.
I'm like, you know,
no assignment left untouched.
I'm like,
I'm going to learn,
you know,
everything.
And I kind of tricked myself into thinking,
oh,
I'm becoming like an expert funnel butter.
And really, I was like,
I'm just going to,
I'm going to make sure I go through everything
and go through everything again,
and go through everything again,
before I actually go try to find clients on my own.
I was like,
oh, sure,
I can make funnels for my boss.
no problem, right? But going out and like doing it on my own, oh my gosh, I was so afraid. So,
guys, I stalled. I like, I can't, I cannot tell you. I'm going to tell you all the steps I
take. And there's more. I just couldn't find pictures of them, okay? I was like, you know what? Before
I go find clients on my own, I should probably like have a good, I should probably have like a good
like Facebook cover photo. So like I'm going to take some. So this picture you see right here,
I bought a huge white background. I bought a selfie stick. Why don't I just use a real camera,
ask them to take a picture of me because I was too embarrassed, right?
I like buy this huge selfie stick.
I buy this white background.
I'm like,
then I'm like,
then I'm like,
then I went and I bought lights.
And then I'm like,
it was like this whole thing.
I spent like $500 on like trying to get a picture of myself.
I'm like,
if I just would have hired a professional person.
And also in the same way,
what are you doing?
Like nowhere in the plan of find a client,
give them a free sample,
hit by a bus does it say,
go get professional pictures taken.
Like nowhere in that.
But I was like,
I got to do this.
That's not until the diamond badge.
For sure.
But then I was like,
that's not going to work.
So I'm like, you know, I am going to get a professional picture taken.
Actually, McCall took this picture.
I took that if I want to know.
So I was brave and I was tell one person.
So McCall, she like does my hair.
She does my makeup.
Wait, like, we're sisters-in-law if you didn't know that.
Like, we've known each other.
She married my brother.
So if you're worried like, what?
We've known each other for a long time.
Anyway, but I was like, I got to have professional.
I cannot ask for a client because people think I'm an idiot, right?
Like, I got to look good, right?
That's blonde Catherine.
So I was like, I was like, okay, maybe it's time.
And I was like, you know, I actually should practice some more.
So this is literally a screenshot of me.
This is me FaceTiming.
And I'm, this is like, this is me.
Prec, can you see me in the editor?
Like, this is me building a phone.
I'm like, I'm not ready.
I should probably do some more practice ones, right?
So I'm like, oh my gosh.
Then, because I'm a lunatic, I'm like, you know what?
I don't like those pictures.
I don't feel like.
I'm a terrible photographer.
I was like, I don't feel like I look like myself.
Oh my gosh.
So I was like, I am actually going to go higher.
I'll do respect.
Do you do great.
I'm going to go hire a real photographer to go get more pictures taken so that my Facebook
profile can be immaculate.
Then I was like, you want to know what?
Do you see my click funnel shirt?
I'm not kidding.
Like, this is real.
Then I was like, you want to know, I should probably train for a marathon.
I think that that's where I should spend my time right now.
Guys, I'm insane.
I am insane.
But you won't know what is actually more true.
I was petrified.
I was petrified.
that of so many things, I was afraid people would say no to me.
I was afraid maybe I wouldn't do a good job.
I was afraid that maybe the whole thing wouldn't work out.
I felt there were so much stakes on it, right?
I was just like, this could be the path of me and money and future and children and taking
over the world.
Like, this could be in.
I don't want to screw it up.
So I got to make sure I'm all the way ready and blah, blah, right?
People are like, what?
You're OCD?
We talked about that yesterday?
Yeah, there it is, right?
Like, I, like, I just, like, I couldn't get myself to go.
I couldn't get myself to go.
So I'm coming up with a hundred other things that I,
could do and making myself believe that, well, I can't get clients because X, Y, Z, I can't get
because I took pictures three times. I mean, this is getting crazy, right? Okay. So then in my, like,
effort to be like, I'm not quite ready yet. I told you this yesterday. Like, I literally went through
the certification program and I found all the people that were winning. And I was like, I got to pick
all their brains to make sure I do it right, you know? So I was on the call, her name with this woman.
Her name was Arlene, okay? She was probably in her 60s. She was just this, like, baddie woman who had
like short pixie cut and she was a biker and like like she had like this Harley and she was so
scary she was so cool but she was so scary and she was just this no nonsense lady but she was making
i'll show you a picture you probably will remember her she was thinking a lot of money inside the
program and i was like i got to talk to her and so i asked i remember being brave enough to ask her
to get on a call and i was like i'm just going to like see you know because i got a you know
i've talked to everybody so i get on the call and i'm like asking her questions blah blah blah
She cuts me off in the middle of my, you know, trying to be charming thing.
And she says, can I just ask you a question?
I said, yeah.
And she goes, how much money have you made?
And I said, what?
She was, fun of building.
How much money have you made?
And I, so, you know, I said, I was like, well, I can answer that question.
Just the answer is zero, right?
Outside of my boss, right?
But that wasn't real to me.
I was like, I made $0.
But I didn't say that because I was too embarrassed.
I was like, well, you want to, okay, so I got a plan.
I'm doing this.
I'm doing her about.
I'm getting my pictures.
It's about to get done.
I'm doing all these different things.
I call this blah blah.
And she's like, Kevin, answer the question.
How much money have you made?
And I was like, uh, she, she's this where she goes, answer the dang question.
And I was like, zero dollars.
She's like, you've made zero dollars?
And I said, yeah.
And she goes, how long have you been in this program?
And I said, over a year.
And she looked at me and she goes, Catherine, I don't know, where's the cameras?
I can tell you.
She looks at this guys, was the scariest ever happened to me.
It was Catherine, you can't bleeping make money if you don't bleeping ask people for
money. And I was like, why are you swearing on me? I'm so afraid. And she said, do you hear me? And I'm like,
yes. She goes, repeat it. And I'm like, I don't want to swear. But I was like, I can't make money
if I don't ask people for money. She's like, yeah. So what are you doing on this call? Are you going to
ask me for money right now? Because if you're not, then get off the call. And I was like, okay, bye.
But I was like, oh my gosh. But I am so grateful for dear Arlene who scared the living daylights out of me,
Because she was able to take these, like, I need pictures.
I need this, I need this, I need this, and just be like, what are you doing?
Are you pursuing the path you actually want?
Or are you trying to make it look cute?
Like, are you pretending that you're pursuing the path?
So I was like, oh my gosh.
Well, here's the thing.
You think that that would have been enough.
But instead, I was just like, I turned inward.
I was almost like so ashamed that I was like, I just started like be, I'm like, I'm such an idiot.
It's been a whole year.
Why not I asked anybody for money?
I'm so dumb.
Like, I should have done this.
And like, my boss was wasting all this.
time like, you're an idiot, Casson.
We've worked a lot on my mindset since.
But I just like, instead of being like, oh, I can do this, I was just like,
Casson, you're such a fool.
You're such a fool.
Like, what if you've been wasting all this time, you know?
So then, God bless Matt Damon.
You did not see that transition coming.
But God bless Matt Damon because I, this movie came out like years earlier, but somehow this
was the first time I saw.
Has anybody seen the movie called We Bought a Zoo?
Has anybody seen that?
Type in Zoo in the comments.
Okay.
I had, um, I had not seen.
this movie and um uh but somehow like it just came up like i was with friends in college and it was
just like what was playing so i watched it and in this movie i want to show you the clip of it you're
going to love it in this movie matt damon is talking to his son and his son is just in love with this
girl that he grew up with he's in love with her and she just thinks they're best friends and he's like
i i i just like i i have to tell i'm losing i have to tell her and he's like but i can't do it and
all these different things. And so our dear Matt Damon, he gives some really amazing fatherly advice
to his son. So it's all about courage. So I want you guys, you guys down to see Matt Damon.
You did not know you're watching Matt Damon Day, but how awesome is that? Okay. If you're down to
see the clip, will you put Matt in the comments? Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt. Okay, awesome.
Video team, whenever you're ready, let's play it.
What happened with you and Lily?
I don't know. I guess I didn't listen to something.
she told me or something.
I mean, I liked her.
It's like you embarrass yourself if you say something.
You embarrass yourself if you don't.
You know, sometimes all you need is 20 seconds of insane courage.
Just literally 20 seconds of just embarrassing bravery.
And I promise you, something great will come over.
So I see this. There I am. My college friends, oh, my college friends, they see me. I'm like crying. They're like, what's wrong? I'm like, I gotta go have 20 seconds. It's safe courage. I've been screamed out today. Matt Damon's making me cry. It's been crazy, right? So this is what I did. If we can get back to the slides, I was like, I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. And there was a woman who I knew needed help. I talked to her before. And she was like, like, asked for help. And I had, what's crazy is I already said that I would help her in some degree, but I hadn't like, we hadn't talked about the details, you know?
And I was planning on just helping her for free.
And I said, Catherine, be a capital W woman.
Like, step up to the plate.
And you guys, I just, I just did it.
I literally remember being like, 20 seconds and second and care of 20 seconds and
I was like, I'll just ask her for 500 bucks.
And I was like, Catherine, you've been practicing this for a year.
You know you're good at this.
Like, go ask her for what you're worth.
And so I was like, okay.
So I literally was like, I'd love to help you with your funnel.
I charged, it was a terrible sales tactic.
I literally sent her just like a DM.
So McCall would have not been proud of that.
But I just got to do her.
I'll love to help you.
I church $5,000.
And then do you want to know what happened, you guys?
Dot, dot, dot.
Time will only tell.
Okay.
Actually, I'll tell you what happened.
No, I'm going to wait.
I'm going to wait.
Is that okay?
I want to wait because I actually want to ask before I tell you the end of this story.
Like, Russell, like, have you had a moment of like 20 second insane courage?
Yeah.
Don't me tell mine right now?
Yeah, tell yours.
So I'll tell you my story.
Again, everyone has this happened at different levels.
It doesn't matter which level, if you're at the very beginning level, there's going to be fear that hit you.
At a high level, there's fear that hits you.
I told you guys earlier today about I had this vision for this thing I wanted to build, right?
And, you know, when I'll send out, I don't know what's going to end, probably $30, $40 million
to build this thing, right?
I remember going to a bank, like, I got a loan.
I was paying back.
I asked the bank.
I'm like, I want to build an event center, a library and museum.
It's going to be insane.
We have old books there and statues of Atlas holding the way the world on our shoulders,
and it's going to be awesome.
And the bank looked at me like, you're insane.
I was like, I just need like $30 million and I can build it.
Like, what?
No, we'll give you $0.
I'm like, they won't give you anything.
Like, no. And so every bank asked like, no. And I'm like, dang it. So banks don't give it to me. So I
figure out how to make this money myself. Right. Now, what would a normal person say? I can't afford
that. And it would stop with the crazy dream, but the dream kept pulling me and that pull me. And so
there was a time where I had also used 20 minutes, 20 seconds of insane courage, because I thought,
I figured out how to create an offer. So I created this offer. It was going to be a million
dollar offer. I'd say, I'd say, I'd get 30 people to give a million dollars. And it'll be great.
So like when the comfort of my home before I'm in front of everybody, I'm like, this makes total sense.
I put together this offer.
I figure out it's going to be amazing.
And then I'm doing this event in Mexico with my top clients and students, like inner circle.
There's two CCXs.
They're like, all these people are there.
I think we had a bunch of certified funnel builders.
It was like all my best people in one spot in Mexico.
And I told my friend Eileen, if you know, Aline Wilder, I was like, I'm going to do a million dollar
pitch tomorrow.
It's going to be amazed.
She's like, well, this is so insane.
So we're so excited.
And then then I'd go to bed.
And I'm like, I'm going to ask you people for a minute.
million dollar like this is insane and I'm like duh and starts getting scared I get nervous and
then I can't sleep that whole night next morning I wake up I'm sick to my stomach and and
and as we're getting closer and closer I'm like I'm not going to do this stupid no one like uh
like just everything started coming back where I'm like I'm not going to do I'm not going to do it
and finally I got spot I'm like I'm not going to do it I felt so calm and comfortable like sweet
I'm not going to do it no stress this is going to be awesome and I'm sitting back and I'm sitting
behind this little table and there's probably 10 minutes 15 minutes before I'm supposed to go up on
stage and then I see like I lean walk past and she's like are you
doing the pitch right now? I was like, no, I decided not to. She's like, what? She said,
Russell, you told me you were going to do it. Like, you tell us all the time that we have to go
and do things that we're uncomfortable. And this is something for you that's uncomfortable. You need
to do this. And I was like, I don't want to do it anymore. Like, I'm scared. What if they say,
no, my dream is shattered and I can't build the thing. And then it all falls apart. And
like, the calling that I feel like I have is not going to happen. And like, uh,
and she sits down. She's like, show me the offer. And I was like, ah, so this is a little
pad of paper. We sketched out. Here's the offer. Here's what looks like and everything.
And she's like, Russell, go do it.
And all of a sudden they're like, up, sticks on stage is Russell Brunson.
And I was like, huh.
And so I jump, I don't have slides or anything.
I jump up, I run around the thing, go back to the curtain, and I come out of stage.
And even I'm walking on stage, I'm just like, I can't do it.
I can't do it.
I can't do it.
And I walk out there, look at there.
I can't do it.
I see Eileen smiling at me.
I was like, if I don't do it, she's going to mock me for the rest of my life.
And so the first time of my life ever, I created and, like, pitched a million dollar offer to my top-end people.
And again, so scary.
But I just did it.
I took the leap of faith, did it.
And when the dust was settled, everything went through, that after the session was done,
everyone broke to lunch, everything.
I went back to see what it was.
And guess how much money we raised you guys?
Am I allowed to say yet?
Or is it?
Yes.
$14 million.
Not this is not everything, but $14 million now.
And I almost didn't do it.
And I almost didn't do it.
But because I took 20 seconds of courage and luckily I had a friend,
Eileen yelling at me, somebody yelling you, someone pushing you, I took that courage.
and it changed everything.
And now we're building this dream,
this vision that's supposed to be true
because I was willing to take a leap of faith
and do 20 seconds of insane courage.
McCall, you got a story?
I love that, Russell.
I love that too.
So my 20 seconds of insane courage
actually involves both Catherine and Russell.
So in 2020,
Catherine gets asked to speak at Funnel Hacking Live.
So Catherine had started her business.
She was crushing it.
And from what I understood,
I'm going to be honest.
Now I look back and I was like, was I a bad friend?
I didn't fully understand that she had made a design course for like a website builder.
I didn't get it.
But I knew she was really, really excited about it.
And we believe that you show up for people in their big moments in their lives.
So at the time, I was teaching voice lessons and acting lessons to kids and performers,
teaching them how to be on stage and kind of how to be more of themselves.
So Catherine gets asked to speak at Funnel Hiking Live.
My husband and I know it's $1,000 a ticket, but we're like, we have to be there.
So we decide to go and support her.
and I'm not going to lie, I was expecting it to be like a conference room, but I knew she was buying a sparkly jacket.
And I was like, cool, what a vibe.
We go to Funnel Hiking Live and I walk in and there's like fog and faces and like all this stuff.
And we're led in a little bit early with friends and family.
And I happen to sit next to this woman who's, I like to make friends.
It's my favorite thing.
So I'm like, tell me about you and tell me about your business and tell me about all the things.
And she starts telling me about how she had this thing called a webinar that I didn't know what it was.
and that she was really, really discouraged because she had just spent, you know, $25,000 with
this agency to help her with her webinar.
And she's like, nobody is buying in my webinar.
And I was like, man, okay, what's a webinar?
And she was like, well, I get on video.
I talk to him and then I sell something.
And I was like, oh, man, you can't get anybody to buy?
And she's like, no.
And I was like, well, what do you think is happening?
Dang it.
That sucks.
And she's like, well, you know, really cool in person.
And I was like, yeah, you are.
And she's like, but I'm so awkward on video.
She's like, I'm so awkward on video and I can't get them to buy.
And in this moment, I'm like, I've been teaching 12-year-olds how to not be awkward on stage for a while.
I think maybe I could give her some tips.
I think maybe I could help her.
But at the same time, I'm like, who am I?
What am I going to do?
I'm like, let me coach you, lady, at this business conference that I know nothing about.
So I decided to sit on my hands and I'm like, I'm not going to say anything to her.
And about 12 minutes later, funnel hacking life starts.
The fog.
everything happens and this dude named Russell Brunson, he gets on stage for the very first speech,
the very first day. He stands up and he says, if you have something that's going to change someone's
life, it's your moral responsibility to give it to them. And I feel like I am struck by lightning.
All of a sudden I'm like, he is speaking right to me. This is crazy. And I started thinking about
this woman who had just spent her last $25,000 to make this dream of hers come true. And I thought
of all the things that I thought, wow, I think maybe I can help her. And I was like, okay,
so before the break, I reach over to this woman and I go, I think I can help you. And she's like,
Sh, Russell's speaking. And I'm like, cool, cool, cool. So the break comes and Russell throughout a speech
told me, you got to do it for free, right? If something is going to change people's lives,
it's your more responsibility to give it to them, you got to do the first one for free. So I said,
okay, I went, I told the woman, I would coach her, I would help her the most, or the best I could,
and I would do it for free. I will do it for free. She agreed. I registered my domain name that night,
charisma hacking.com. I literally started my business the day one of funnel hacking live. I spent all
the funnel hacking live learning how to do this business that I just created and how to serve this
client that I just got that I had no idea how to serve her. And I want to show you what happened
because of those 20 seconds of insane courage. So we are at the end of funnel hacking live,
We're snorting the Krui!
This is big!
I have all of my business plans.
I have my frayworks.
I am ready to go.
This is officially day one.
Well, day something, because I bought the domain and the Instagram handle and all of that a couple days ago.
But officially day one of Prisma Hacking.
I've been told to document this for my origin story.
So I'm pumped and see you on that stage next year.
It's hard.
You're welcome to the stage.
McColl Jones!
Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow.
Okay, now, I want to show you. Pause. Is she not the coolest girl you've ever met in your life? She literally came because she was like, I don't know, this girl's nerd, but she's my sister-in-law will go support her. Day one, 12 minutes in. She's like, I'm doing this one year later. She's on a stage that most people, like, I can't tell you how hard it is to get on that stage. And within a year, not only did Russell know,
who she was, she had a business big enough and qualified enough that Russell was like, you need
to talk to my entire audience, including the people that pay me a quarter million dollars a year
because they need to know what you have to say.
She's a nice to me.
Talk about 20 seconds of courage.
Let's go.
I want to show you what happened in between, though, because yes, I had 20 seconds of insane
courage.
I grab Brooks arm and I'm like, I can help you, I promise this is great.
I'm going to get home and I have to actually build the business.
So there's 20 seconds of insane courage.
You may have had 20 seconds of insane courage before, but I got to show you, you got to have it again, right?
You were able to see the beginning and the end because sometimes you got to push through your 20 seconds of insane courage, right?
You got to have it.
You got to have it again.
You got to have it again.
And I want to see the magical things that can happen.
So you're not at the beginning and the end of the story.
I want to show you the middle of the story.
I am a snail of despair.
We're only not even all the way through
Values secret number two
Value ladder
But my value ladder
Otherwise I can't get into secret number three
So many things I think
I think
Am I a coach of coaches
My money
Not even Slingyonga visits
Oh
Dramatic
I have never seen that
I love the air corin
I was told to document my journey
Doc about what's happening to you
So I have to tell you
You have to move through the snail of despair
to get to the stage.
I am a snail.
But guys, you have to move through the snail of despair to get to the stage.
I want you to write, move through the snail.
Move through the snail.
Move through the snail.
Move through the snail.
All right, Catherine, I want to hear what happened with the rest of your story.
All right, you guys, mine is just sad at this point because you want to know what happens.
What happens for me is I message that girl and I'm like, hey, listen, I can do this.
You want to know what happens?
She ghosts me.
That's what happens, you guys.
I feel like I just mustered.
up every ounce of gumption I have ever had. I watch Matt Damon. I'm like, follow Matt to the end.
I'm like, I can do this. I ask this woman, it's been three days. She has read the message and she has
ghosted me. I feel like an idiot. And all sudden, my crazy brain starts telling me that not only has
she now responded, no one will ever respond. And I will never be successful. And this dream that I
how I'm dumb for even thinking anything like that and on and on and on.
You guys, what is crazy is all of a sudden it's 11 o'clock at 9.
I'm like, oh, I don't feel so good.
My stomach kind of hurts.
And then all of a sudden it's 1130 and it gets worse.
And then it gets to be midnight and I think something might be wrong with me.
So I do the thing that every 25 year old dad, I call my mom at midnight.
Like, mom.
Is this normal?
She's like, go to the hospital.
Go to the hospital. My sister comes and picks me up. And this is me, this is me walking into the,
I can't even walk. Like, I'm just like walking into the hospital. And I'm like, I told you the other
day, I just got admitted and I just kept thinking, I have no idea I'm going to pay for this.
And at first they were like, did her appendix burst? Like, what's going on? I'm just like,
I can't have surgery. Like, oh my gosh, like, she's so stressful. Anyway, I get on morphine, great
experience my first time. I've started to feel better. But I'm just in the hospital with this
ulcer and um and while i'm in the hospital you guys again i'm thinking how am i ever going to pay for
this but then i think i i just i have to attribute this to god because all sudden like amidst the just
so loud crazy voice in my head which is your dumb your failure i can't believe you've even tried
i i like i had this moment where i i realized like this pain that you're experiencing right now
is failure leaving your body.
That's what's happening.
Failure is leaving your body.
Failure doesn't fit in you.
It doesn't match.
You and failure, you don't match.
Failure is leaving your body.
You're done.
You did your courage.
What actually happened is not that you failed.
What actually happened is you proved that you would try.
And you try again and you try again.
And that started the process.
And I wish it didn't include a hospital bill.
But that started the process of failure ripping itself from my body.
I was not a failure.
I was a woman of courage.
That's what switched for me.
And you want to know what's crazy?
This sweet little girl myself would wait one more day.
That girl responded and she said, yes, I'd love for you to build my funnel for $5,000.
Where can I send you the money?
But I believe that God needed me to understand.
that my loud voice and this identity that I had chosen to accept of a failure was just actually
inaccurate.
It was a puzzle piece that didn't fit inside me.
I am not a failure.
I am not a being.
I'm not a soul.
I am not a creature that can't accept that.
It doesn't fit.
It doesn't fit.
And whenever you rip something from you or cut the fat or make something go away, it's always
going to hold on for your dear life.
resistance will always try and get in the way.
And so it's going to hurt when it pulls away.
And you might end up with an ulcer.
You might end up with a hard conversation.
Chances are you might cry sometime in the next little bit.
Like, it's going to be hard.
But it is worth the pain to remove the falseness out of your body so you can live in integrity
with who you actually are.
So I hate that I got an ulcer.
And it was the actual best thing that ever happened to me because it was a
moment for me where I realized failure and Catherine do not exist in the same sentence.
In fact, failure doesn't even fit me.
It doesn't fit inside me.
So when I run into roadblocks, which we still do, when something happens, I'm not a failure.
I'm not dumb.
That doesn't even fit inside me.
That's not even how I can't.
It's impossible.
I'm Catherine.
I am this person who is capable of changing the world, right?
Failure's not a part of me.
So I booked a client.
Thank goodness.
But here's what I think is so exciting.
You might be like, well, Russell didn't, and I didn't.
I hope you might be looking at me a little bit less.
You were a snail despair, but I ended up in the hospital.
You might be like, I don't know.
This girl is crazy.
But what I wanted to point out to you is that you're not crazy if you think like this.
You're not crazy if you're like, I don't know if I can do this.
You're not crazy if right now you're like, I'm going to throw up.
I think this is the right thing to do.
You're not crazy if you tried before and fail.
And yet you're like, I'm going to bet on myself.
again, you're not crazy. Because as a human being, you're not designed to fail. Failure doesn't
fit in you either. If you think it does, you've just actually adopted the wrong mindset.
Failure does not fit in you either, okay? And I want to prove it to you. So we, I just want you to
show, I used to tell people, it's kind of like this thing where I'd be like, hey, just be brave, right?
Not 20 seconds. I gave them a little bit longer, 12 minutes. I call it the 12 minute challenge.
I'm like, just go see if you can get a client in 12 minutes. Just like go see. Just turn your brain off,
set your phone timer for 12 minutes and see what happens.
Just ask for a client or call somebody up in your phone just for 12 minutes.
Just turn your brain off and do the right things you're supposed to do.
And so people would do it.
And I love this, right?
Like, I just got off the first phone call with my 12 minute challenge.
She would turn to 20 seconds of courage to start the phone call within the 12 minutes.
She booked her client, right?
Like, I love this one, Michael.
I did it.
I completed the 12 minute challenge in about 35 minutes.
What I accept?
She was the first half of 12 minutes was easy.
But then I was so nervous to actually send the message out.
She was drafted the message, right?
A swimmer's sent out.
It took me a while to talk myself into it, but it's done now.
And now to see what the response will be and to get the nerve to reach out to more
clients.
You're not crazy.
You're not alone.
All you've been lacking is courage.
Failure does not fit inside of you, okay?
And then even this, right?
Like, this was a girl who, it took a little bit longer than 12 minutes, but I got it done,
first paid website.
All because they decided 20 minutes, 20 seconds of courage to start.
They turned their brain off and they did the thing.
They turned off the negative talk in their life.
And they did the thing that they actually wanted to do.
So, this is what I want you guys to do is, this is a little bit crazy.
Is this right?
Do you think we should do it?
I'm excited.
I don't know what you're going to say.
Okay, great.
Here's what I want you guys to do.
We're just going to take 20 seconds right now.
Just take 20 seconds.
You can do a little check, a little gut check with yourself.
It's a 20 seconds moment of silence.
And all I want you to do in those 20 seconds is decide what's my next move.
It can be anything.
What's my next move?
But be quiet and be brave.
And in 20 seconds, I want you to be brave and figure that out.
Does you got you guys down for the 20 seconds?
The 20 seconds of insane courage.
20 seconds?
What is my next courageous move?
Ready?
I got a stopwatch.
Here we go.
I got a stopwatch.
Go.
20.
Okay, you want to know what's crazy?
Is what's crazy about 20 seconds is that you actually knew probably in the first two
what you're supposed to do.
You actually, 20 seconds, is more than,
enough time to do exactly the thing you need to do. You know what to do? Get the text. You know what to do. Make the
call. You know what to do. Go to the website. You know what to do. 20 seconds is actually enough time to make
the steps that you know that you need to do. So you might be lacking courage, but I hope what you're
learning today is that it actually really, 20 seconds is so short. No, you just experience it. 20 seconds of
courage is all it takes to get you from where you are to where you want to be. So cool. I love it.
All right, you guys, we keep on going.
We got compass, cash, camouflage, courage, and next is commitment, okay?
Making the commitment.
You've probably heard this quote before.
First time I heard this, I was a Tony Robbins event, and he was talking about changing
our lives.
And he told the story about, I think it was Normandy or something, the soldiers are coming up
and they looked at like this thing they have to do.
I could have the history story wrong, but the concept's the same, right?
We need to conquer the island.
And the general was like, the only way to conquer the island is to burn the boats.
It's like, what do you mean?
Like, well, if you have this thing where, like, you can go back and you can jump back on the boats,
you're going to start going, going by like, you always know the back head.
Like, I've got a way to get out of this.
And so you're try, try it.
And then as soon as it gets a little hard, you're going to bounce.
I see this all the time that people get into business and funnel building into doing something
where it's like, I'm going to commit all the way, except for I'm going to keep my boats back here.
It's the worst case scenario I can jump back out if I'm not going to be successful.
And they don't burn the boats.
And so because of that, they can't capture the island.
Okay.
You can't be successful in something when you go halfway in or most of the way in, right?
That's what people do when they dabble here, they dabble there, and they never actually see success.
The people who have success are those who burn the boats, okay?
It's the reality.
I think I told the story in VIP, but I'll tell it really quick.
How many guys are Batman fans?
You know, the greatest movie of all time, literally is the Dark Night, but then that's part two, the Batman trilogy.
But part three, there's a story with Batman and Bain.
It's not my favorite movie, but there's one scene that's insane, okay?
So if you've seen it before, Bain goes and breaks Batman's back, right?
and then throws him in this huge pit.
He's down the bottom of this pit.
And he's trying to figure out of, first off, I heal my back magically in like two days.
So he heals his back, but he's like, I'm going to get out of this pit.
And there's this huge pit.
You look at the top.
And the very top, if you get out of it, then you're able to be free.
And that's the only thing holding you in is like your ability to get out of it.
And so Batman decides, I'm going to try to figure out of his pit.
So he goes and he starts climbing up the pit, climbs up the pit.
He's got a rope around his waist, and there's this one jump you have to make.
And he's got to make this jump.
So he goes and he jumps the very first time and he misses it.
But luckily the rope catches him, right?
He's like, okay, I'll try to get tomorrow.
So he tries it again and again and again.
And after like months of him trying, he's like, there's no way I can do this.
And then the old guy who's in jail with Batman looks at him, he's like,
there's one person who actually jumped and made it.
He's like, what was the secret?
What did he do different?
He said, he jumped without the rope.
He's like, if I jumped out the rope and I miss, I die.
He's like, yeah, but because you have a rope, you don't go all in because you've got a backup plan.
You didn't burn the boats.
You can't take the island.
So Batman's like, all right.
this time it's not like, I hope I make this.
It's like, I will make this or I will die.
So he takes the rope off.
He climbs up, gets at the spot, and he's got to make that jump.
And this time, though, he's not going to jump most of the way.
He's like, my life depends on me jumping and catching this ledge.
And so he runs and he jumps.
And this time he catches the ledge.
And he gets up and he escapes, right?
So many times, we're going to go mostly.
I'm pretty much going to try.
I'm going to put force an effort.
It's like, no, that's not how you win.
You win when you burn.
when you burn the boats, when you're not jumping with the rope, when you're going all in.
Okay?
Again, coming back to this quote, if you want to take the island, you've got to burn the boats.
If you guys want to do this, you have to commit.
This is your future.
This is your career.
This is the path.
If you want to be successful, you've got to dive into it.
Okay?
That's what committing is all about.
Okay?
So we've got compass, cash, camouflage, courage, commitment.
And then the last thing is community, right?
You're not doing this alone.
And this is why it's going to be different today than any other time in the past.
This is not like a community.
Like you log into a school group, they never messaged back, right?
Like we joked about that on the promo videos for this.
Like, this is an actual community of people who actually care and want you to be successful.
This morning when I got in, McCall and Catherine had an idea.
They wanted to add a new bonus to this thing.
In fact, you guys want to talk about the bonus because this was their idea.
I think it's amazing and exciting.
And I think it's going to be another piece that's going to help you guys,
especially over this weekend.
100%.
So after we came together and we were like, okay,
it only takes 20 seconds of courage.
We thought,
what could we give our people that we feel like
this is the thing that they've been missing, right?
It's one of these six Cs.
How could we make sure that they felt like
their success was inevitable?
Right.
A lot of times when we feel like we have to do something on our own,
it gets really scary, right?
Even where we're like, go watch the video and do the thing.
You're like, okay, but maybe the last time I tried to do this,
I didn't even watch the first video of the course.
right? We wanted to make sure that that didn't happen. So we decided to add something we're calling
a courage call. Now what the courage call is is it's happening tomorrow. Yeah. And there's this
concept where when you get together with a group of people and you're all doing the same thing,
you do the thing, right? And you can feel the community. What we want you guys to do with this
courage call is you're going to show up live to this call and you're going to actually watch and
complete one of the challenges together. Yeah. Now, the challenge that you guys haven't completed
yet that comes right before hit by the bus, if you're going to actually do that call with people,
is creating that custom funnel. You've recreated a funnel before, but you need to create a custom
funnel. That free sample. That free sample that you're going to actually present on your
hit by a bus call, right? We want you to be able to have that call before Monday, right? We want you to
be able to make money by the weekend. And now we want you to make sure that you don't feel like you have to
do it alone. So you guys are all going to show up, right? All you got to do is put down your deposit
and you're able to get this courage call tomorrow where you can actually kick off this money by the
weekend together by creating this custom funnel, this free sample together so that you guys can succeed.
Yeah, does that sound okay? Do you feel like it would make you more successful and you feel like your success would
be inevitable if you could actually do it together? If you showed up on a Zoom and you said,
I got no choice now.
I got a bunch of friends
doing the exact same thing with me.
Yeah, if this made your success inevitable,
I want you to write inevitable in the chat.
Kind of hard.
That's a hard one to spell.
Be your best.
Do you your best.
Certain.
Say certain in the chat.
Does this make you more certain of your success?
Right?
Because we want you guys to feel certain.
Because we're certain of your success, right?
We feel, we believe in you.
We believe in you.
We just, we have certainty in the program.
Right?
We feel like this program is,
is a spectacular place for you.
Can I tell you why we want to put you in this room, specifically, this online room?
Whenever, I made a rule for myself.
So you saw how much I procrastinated.
One of the steps along there was buy as many other online courses as I can before I go.
So I have just this huge Google sheet thing of like, this is the course, here's my login, here's my password.
I mean, like, so many online courses that I've taken.
And most of them are not good.
Most of them are not good.
And the reason why they're not good is because they focus on information rather than results.
Information rather than results.
I'm like, I don't care in all this.
Just like, let me do the thing you told me I'm going to do.
So when we joined forces and we trimmed the fat, right, I said, okay, how do we get them from here to their one common club as quickly as possible?
Then one common club to bronze, bronze, the silver, silver, gold, gold, to diamond.
But this is the exercise that I always put myself through whenever I craft a new program.
And it's what is the result that I want them to get?
And so for this, I was thinking, what's the first thing?
And I was like, I want them to get their one comic clip award.
Then this is the exercise that I put myself through.
I say, okay, here's the game.
It's you and my person going through the program.
I'm sitting in a room with them.
Here's the stipulations.
You and them, you're not allowed to leave.
You're not allowed to go to the bathroom.
You're not allowed to eat and you're not allowed to sleep.
Until they get this.
What are you going to have them do?
And let me tell you what, when all of a sudden I'm not allowed to eat,
I'm not allowed to go to the bathroom,
I'm not allowed to sleep and I'll have to see my kids.
I'm not allowed to talk to buddy and tell whoever I'm sitting with in the chair gets their freaking one comic club.
I'll tell you what, you cut out a lot of crap because it's like, you get this or we actually will eventually die.
There's only so much time before we could go without food and water and sleep.
So what do we got to do?
That's how the program was designed.
So with this courage call, it's as close as I can get to putting you into the room.
Bring us all the Boiseo.
all hang out together.
Exactly.
I will be gone together.
Just get a dug.
But this courage call is as close as I can get to actually getting you into that room,
getting you into that simulation where it's like,
listen,
we do this or we die.
We burn the boats.
What does this look like?
And so much,
all it takes is having somebody to say,
or pushing the start button together.
So what we'll do in this courage call is you'll literally go through the training in the
course with everybody that joins,
and then you'll do the challenge in the course with everybody that joins.
And we'll have a timer for it should take.
take you about this long? Great. So you can see it. Okay, I got 20 minutes to do this part. Great.
Then we're going to watch the next video. Okay. I got 20, 30 minutes to do this part. Great.
And then if you have questions, you can go to the Facebook group and ask questions in the group and make sure.
But what we want to do is we want to start you on that path. I want to lock you in the room because it's already been created as if you were.
And if I can just get your brain into that room and get you in the minds of to say, I'm having 20 seconds of courage.
And each step, cats are going to tell me exactly what to do. If I can just sit, if I can just sit you down and get you to do it.
then I feel confident in saying this time will be different.
Yep.
If I can get you in the room, that's how the whole program was designed.
The only thing that's missing is you actually in the room and this is as close as I can get us.
And I want to have you in the room because I am certain that with all these things,
can we put this slide back up with all these things that Russell and us are giving you,
this time can be different.
The only thing lacking is you having the 20 seconds to start, the 20 seconds of courage,
to actually push go.
And if you show up for that courage called tomorrow,
the pass starts.
The game starts.
And I can be there with you.
Sound good?
So we want to include this.
Russell said, he said yes.
We're like, look, Russell, let's say yes.
I said, we got to get him in a room.
We got to get him in a room.
But the only way that you can get access to this room
is two things.
Number one, you need to have your deposit in by tonight.
If you put in in tomorrow, you miss the room.
This room, the call starts tomorrow.
So if you don't get it in before tonight, you just don't get the link.
So this is for the people that right now you're looking at those seas and you're like,
okay, I have the compass.
I understand.
I understand where this is going.
I can figure out how to get the cash.
Great.
I'll rake the leaves.
I'll get the scholarship.
Great.
I have the camouflage.
Nobody has to see me do this.
I have the courage.
I have the 20 seconds.
I have the commitment, right?
Like, I am all in.
And now I have the community.
Like, I get it, I see it.
I might still be terrified.
But I know that if I can just have those 20 seconds, if I can get in the room, then we're going to play.
So if you guys want to be a part of this, if you want to be able to join the courage call tomorrow to become a part of the Funnel Builder Certification Program and to actually start tomorrow with us, make sure that you join the deposit tonight before midnight.
Very cool.
Someone asked, Neerl asked, those already joined.
Can we do this as well?
Of course you can.
Oh, of course.
You'll be getting the email.
Even our certified partner bills have been there for a long time.
A lot of them are going to be coming hanging out, being part of this as well.
So do not miss that.
It'll be awesome.
It's awesome.
And it'll be great.
And you'll get, again, you'll get an email with the link, but you got a hit in before midnight tonight.
Yeah, very cool.
