And so, um, uh, we do have live stream tickets available as well. So, uh, I'll get you the link for that as well. Perfect. Perfect. Yeah. So if you're listening to this, you want to be there, you're in Southern California, you're in California. I don't care if you're in New York and you want to be, I don't care. Right. You want to meet some of these names. I mean, Ed, my let and a rod. I don't care if you're in New York and you want to be, right. You want to meet some of these names. I mean, Ed, my let and a rod. I mean, these are people that are just a rod specifically, obviously being the keynote. I mean, that's, that's huge. So, uh, brother,
Starting point is 00:03:14 kudos to you. Good on you, man. Your message is outstanding. Let's talk a little bit about, you know, everyone knows my story and all the shit I ate and all the, you know, hard times and sleeping on couches and all the hot dogs and top ramen. They get my story, brother. But let's talk about your story and where this work ethic came from, where the motivation came from. And then let's kind of transition to life now. You and I were just talking about how everyone wants things now, but they don't realize the patience and the work ethic and everything has to be developed. So let's start by just your story and then we'll take it from there. Yeah. First off, before I say a word, you know, guys, if you're listening, my hope for this is that your life is changed by this
Starting point is 00:03:53 conversation. Um, and whenever I do stuff like this, you know, I've got a deep, deep passion to help people to break through. And I, and I do that because, you know, we, we, we live in, we live in a society right now where everyone is strolling through Instagram or Facebook or YouTube, and everyone now sees that success is possible. I think we all fundamentally understand success is possible. I think we all fundamentally understand that we can become wealthy, we can build our dream home, we can travel the world. And yet, I honestly believe, Justin, for, you know, 85% of the population, something is missing, right? Something is missing between like, I'm sitting here and I see other people do it and, and me doing it myself. And so
Starting point is 00:04:39 that's my passion is to help connect those dots for people because I was able to do it for myself, man. Real quick, my story starts when I was really 16 years old, 13 years old. My parents got divorced. My mother decided to leave my father. She grabbed myself and my two younger brothers and moved us out here to Southern California. I was the oldest at the time. We got here and my mom was used to public transportation in New York City. So she did not know how to drive. And I knew we needed a car. So at 13 years old, I convinced her to buy a Hyundai XL for $2,500. I'll never forget that. Never forget that, right? We were living smack in the middle of the hood. We were living in the ghetto. So, you know, live that whole thing. Here was one problem I didn't realize. And this is kind of my wiring and I want you all to catch this. Sometimes I don't want to pay attention to the
Starting point is 00:05:34 details of things, right? So I'm just like, go and we'll figure it out later. Right? Totally. You know, and I'm sure you've got some of that as well. I'm the same way, bro. I'm not detail-oriented. I just go and blow, dude. Right, right. And by the way, by the way, for those of you that are detail-oriented, don't let your ego think, oh, well, then I'm not going to be successful. No, because quite frankly, those of you that are detail-oriented have a gifting to put together systems that you can leverage.
Starting point is 00:06:00 So we can all win. We can all win. So I missed one small detail, and the detail was that it was a stick shift. And so, and so, you know, my poor mom didn't know how to drive, let alone a stick shift, let alone the fact that she was this four foot two, really nervous energy Hispanic lady. Right. So, so if, if, if, if we were driving like this, she was good. If we ever were at a stop sign where it was like this, all hell would break loose because the clutch would kick in and she gets nervous. And then we're worried about cops and getting pulled over and forget about it. So it ended up happening, man, as crazy as this sounds that I stepped up and became the leader of my family at age 13, I started to drive us around illegally, basically, because we have no other we have no other options. Yeah, I'm a big
Starting point is 00:06:52 believer. And one of the reasons why we don't succeed is because we have options. And if you could learn to force yourself to be in a position where your options are eliminated, damn it, you're either going to step up or you're going to lose, you know? And luckily for me, I was forced into that position at an early age. By the age of 17, I opened my first business. It was a tortilla delivery business. I was making at the time, a couple hundred bucks a week, close to four grand a month. And I was saving up money because I was sick and tired of living in the ghetto. You know, Justin, I always just had this fire inside of me. I remember watching Beverly Hills 90210. And I remember thinking like, those kids like even nice houses, man, they, they were nice clothes, They drive nice cars. And here I am living in a
Starting point is 00:07:47 shithole. You know what I mean? Yeah. And, and I, and honestly, Justin, man, like I saw no way out. I saw like, my mom wasn't going to do it. Right. My little, my little brothers weren't going to do it. My dad ain't around. No one in my family owned a home back then. We only had one aunt who owned a home and she was the evil aunt because she had money, right? And the Hispanic, you know, just kind of weird like that, right? And so I thought to myself, California, in the worst area you could live in. And we're only here because of the fact that my mom can't afford anything better. And so I put that pressure on myself, dude. I was just like, look, I don't know how I'm going to do this. But by the time I'm 21 years old, I will buy us a house. And I started to write it down. And I just started to write it down. And I started to envision it. And where did I get that? I got that from wrestling. As a wrestler in high school, I put a poster on my closet, and I would keep track of my wins and
Starting point is 00:08:57 losses. And I would sit there like a maniac and just envision WWW, WWW. Sure enough enough that year I won league I went to CIF I just missed masters qualifying for masters and I had only been wrestling for two years just by aligning my mindset with what I wanted for my life you know absolutely and uh sure enough by the time I was 21 I saved up enough money I went online by the time I'm in real estate already. That's what got me into real estate. The desire to buy my mama house. I went online, I saw a house, the price was $84,000, but I knew the area and I knew it was worth about $120,000. I bought the house without seeing it. I didn't even see it. I didn't care what the hell it looked like. It didn't matter to me. I knew it was in the best area in town. I knew I was making
Starting point is 00:09:45 30 something thousand dollars the day I moved in. I clicked the button. I sent the offer. Matter of fact, I didn't even go see it because it was a hud house. I didn't go see it till the very next day when I got the bid accepted. I got the bid accepted. I sent my deposit and then I went and saw it and I saw and I go all right some paint some carpet other than that this thing is beautiful surprised my mom and well dude there's a whole nother subject in what you just talked about you know how you were raised and your mentality about saving so you can buy a house that in and of itself people understanding financing and understand finances right gaining how to save money how to make money is important. But then, as you and I both know, the more money you make, the more money you spend.
Starting point is 00:10:28 How to actually understand finances so that you can save money, so that you can put money away. That's a whole subject. We can do three or four podcasts on that alone. We can. We can. Yeah, it's funny you said that, Justin, because day three of the event is wealth building day. And I'm sorry, man. Problem number one is people know that they can create wealth, but they don't understand how to connect the dots. Problem number two and 30, honest to God, was I buying real estate? Sure. Was I flipping real estate? Yeah. Did I own properties? Yeah. Did I create a net worth of over a million dollars by the time I'm 27? Sure. I did that stuff. But the money would come in, man, and then, so then, you know, I I'm all about psychology. So then I went back and I had to look at why, like, why did that happen? And I realized, man, I was still
Starting point is 00:11:31 living as that little boy who didn't have anything, who wanted to prove to the world that I was worth something. Sure. So I was driving a seven series BMW by the time I was like 25. I mean, I just want you to think of that. Like I had a Beamer, a Harley Davidson, a house and, and, and did I, you know, was I a net worth millionaire? Yeah, I was, but I had to go through some serious pain in order to truly understand that the key to create wealth is to make a shit ton of money, but not need it. No doubt. I don't, I don't, I have money coming in. I don't mean to say this. I got you. You're not trying to brag. No, no, no. I'm not at all, but I'm just trying to help people to understand what's possible.
Starting point is 00:12:17 We've got money coming in from six to seven different sources right now. And I don't touch 90% of it. Right. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I do. It's something that, first of all, you always want multiple streams of income, right? Everyone from Warren Buffett to any expert finance guy says, but I would say the same thing. My two biggest revenue streams, we have seven revenue streams and I'm working on an eight. I'm currently acquiring two companies. So all those type of moves I'm able to make now. But to your point, I don't even cut a paycheck out of all but one. One company out of the seven I have cuts my paycheck and that's it. That's exactly how I do it too.
Starting point is 00:13:07 That's exactly how I do it too. Building, investing, reinvesting. So that is, again, like I said, we could even spend this entire thing into that. But I want people to really understand you cause I think you have a message. So I love this. You buy your home, you're 25 years old, right? You buy your mom a home, your family family a home, you get into real estate. When did you get that spin to realize like, this can be something beyond just, I now have my license, I have, you know, the ability to buy real estate. Where did that switch happen that I could really create something here? Yeah, so it was my first year in the business. So I know real estate, I know sales, I know
Starting point is 00:13:47 investing like the back of my hand. This is like now second nature to me because I've been doing it so long and it's more than doing it so long. This is what your people have got to understand. It's doing it at a high level for so long. Right. Because the more you do, the more you learn. Yeah. So for example, my first year in sales, I closed 28 transactions. Right. First year. First year in sales. I know people, oh, you know, real estate. So, you know, yeah, I know people who have been doing this 20 damn years who don't close 20 transactions. Right. And it's, you know, and it's for a lot of different reasons. But then what that did to me is at
Starting point is 00:14:25 that age, my split wasn't anything with my broker, but I, in my first year of business, brought home more money than anyone in my family had ever brought home. How did you do that? That's everyone's question right now is how were you able to go do that? What was your secret sauce? Okay. So I explained it in my book, step-by-step, and that's it in my book, Step by Step. And that's not a book promo, do what you want with that. But it's not, see, everybody thinks, what did you do? It's never what did you do, is who were you throughout the process?
Starting point is 00:14:59 Okay. Because if you can identify with who you were, the doing part is a reflection of who you are, right? So first and foremost, in my heart, man, I was a provider for my family, right? I knew that I wanted more than everybody else. I knew that I didn't want to struggle. I knew I wanted to be number one in my office. I knew I was willing to fucking cut my arm off,
Starting point is 00:15:26 if that's what it meant, and pour blood, sweat, and tears into making that happen. I knew I wanted to buy my mother a house, right? I knew that we were destined to go on the greatest vacations. I wanted to get all my family together once a year and take them on vacation and pay for it. Like I just thought and expected different things as a result of that being choice. I knew I couldn't do what everybody else did. Yeah. So what did everybody else do? Shit, man. They show up at the office at nine 30, 10 o'clock. I can't do that. Yeah. I can't do that. And then what else do they do? They kind of meander around with their computer until 12. I can't, I can't do that if I want all that. Right. I can't do that. And then 12 o'clock comes. So guess what that means? It's lunchtime. So then they leave for lunch and they
Starting point is 00:16:14 don't take a one hour lunch. They take an hour and a half lunch because they're independent contractors. I can't do that. Not if I want all that, I can't do that. Right. Right. And then they come back and check more email and then it's time to go pick up the kids and then they're gone. Justin, I know that sounds funny, but I want all of you listening to me to check yourselves real fast, because in some way, shape or form, if you are not succeeding at the level you want to be succeeding, it's because that's how you live your life. Amen. It's who you are. Exactly. Exactly. And I'm telling you right now, man, you're never going to break through. It'll never happen. Stop kidding yourselves until you go hard for three years. It takes three years of grind, right? I'm not the Gary V type. I don't want to
Starting point is 00:16:59 grind the rest of my life. I want to grind, establish the foundation and then leverage that foundation. I want my cake and I want to eat it too. I don't work Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I haven't in years because that's just not what I want to do. And so I'll tell you how did I do it. I first identified with what I wanted and I got deeply connected with the fact that it was possible. And I got deeply connected with the price that I needed to pay to achieve it. No doubt. And then I went out and I executed. And Justin, I worked seven days a week for three years, basically.
Starting point is 00:17:36 Yeah. No, I think to simplify, I mean, you have such a great message with the passion. I simplify this. I did a video. So I did come in this entire weekend. Part of the reason why I make those sacrifices is because I video. So I did come in this entire weekend. Part of the reason why I make those sacrifices is because I'm like you, but I live an incredible lifestyle. I mean, I am constantly traveling. I'm constantly doing cool shit. I'm constantly going. And so I
Starting point is 00:17:54 say, you know what, if I'm going to live this lifestyle, there still has to be sacrifice. Sure. I don't get this lifestyle because I get this lifestyle. So my sacrifice, my work ethic says, you know what? I'm working both Saturday and Sunday. I also made a post yesterday. Everyone wants to be on social media looking great. The reality is we don't always look so good. We go through shit. Sometimes life is tough and you have to eat some more shit.
Starting point is 00:18:23 And you got to pay the price. That's this. Absolutely. Bro. And so what you are saying, I simplify it. It's going to be about your work ethic and who do you ultimately want to be? And if ultimately doesn't want to be,
Starting point is 00:18:36 doesn't resonate within you enough to your point, you'll never get going to do. You ain't going to eat. Cause this shit's hard, right? To be an entrepreneur, to put that shit on your shoulders and to carry your business, to carry your partners, to carry your family, your mom, your wife, your kid. That ain't easy to then say.
Starting point is 00:18:54 There's no one you can point at. There's no boss. There's no, well, he didn't give me the promotion. He didn't. It's all on your shoulders. There's no one you can blame. No. There's no one you can blame, man.
Starting point is 00:19:03 And, you know, I've got 400 realtors in the company. I've got close to 40 staff members. Like, if they mess up, it's my fault. I shouldn't have hired them. Right. It's my fault. There is no one you can blame, right? And that's the true beauty of entrepreneurship is that it's all on you. And you know, that goes back to being that
Starting point is 00:19:26 kid at 13 who told his mom to buy a car and didn't realize it was a stick shift. Guess what? In that moment, it was on me to figure it out. And so I'm very comfortable with pressure. And for all of you out there, listen to me, you've been coddled too much. You've been babied too much, whether it's by people around you or by yourself. And it's time for you to man or woman up and understand you need to get comfortable with pressure. Pressure is what's going to make you. I know it's uncomfortable. I know it's scary. I, I know what it's like to, to beg God because I didn't have gas money to go drive to my appointment to somehow please bring me gas money and find $1.50 on the floor and put $1.50 in gas to get me home. I know
Starting point is 00:20:14 what that's like. No doubt. I know what it's like to not have food and to be at the swap meet with my little pictures of my houses and my stomach is rumbling and to ask God, please send me food. And next thing you know, the little Mexican guy next to me brings out a little, a little electric grill and starts making tacos. And I get one little taco to put them. I know what that's like, man. I know what it's like to walk into AM PM and steal a hamburger and put it in my pocket. Cause I just, I didn't have any other choice and then come back through integrity come back and play five times and give that money to the cash register and have them look at me and go what's this for I go look just take it trust me I know what that's like man
Starting point is 00:20:56 but I was willing to go through all of that because of the vision that I had in my heart and soul of the man I wanted to become of the, of what I wanted to give my family, you know? Yeah. The more, the more you resonate with where you want to go and trust me, I, and I would, I'm not going to speak for you, but I'm willing to bet you're going to say yes to this. I'm still not where I know I can be. And I'm still not where I know where I want to be going. Now I've accomplished a lot in my life and I have been blessed with so many incredible friends and mentors and people that have affected me. But man, I have so much further I can go and I want it. So guess what?
Starting point is 00:21:30 I am going to work the Saturdays. I am going to work the Sundays. I am going to work when no one else is because I want something very few people in this life have. Sure. I'm going to have to do what very few people in this life are willing to do. Sure. And that means I have to do what very few people in this life are willing to do. Sure. And that means I have to eat more shit than you. That means I have to work harder than you.
Starting point is 00:21:50 That means I have to make more mistakes than you. And that means I have to make and win more than you at the same time. I'm just willing to do that where 99.9% of the people are not. And they're not truthful to themselves About what they will do versus what they won't do sure It's so funny you sound like I haven't arrived like I have a list every morning that I look at of where I'm going in life, yeah, and they are ridiculously large goals yeah, and as a result of that number one
Starting point is 00:22:23 You start to when you get comfortable with pressure when you get comfortable with understanding that you literally can manifest anything that you want in life, like those are all already accomplished. You know, they're all already accomplished. Now it's just time for it all to manifest. And what I do every morning is I remind myself and I think of it to help speed the process up, to help me feel it, to help me envision it. I've been doing that since I was that wrestler, uh, 16 years old in high school. So you talk about visualization. You've, you've now talked about this several times. There's a great book that doesn't go super in depth of visualization, but it's called organized, um, tomorrow. Great book. I would refer that to anybody,
Starting point is 00:23:06 especially someone like yourself, bro. It's incredible. If you could just text that over to me. Yeah, I will. I'll shoot you a text. So Organize Tomorrow Today talks a lot about entrepreneurship winning, but there's a big component of that, which is the visualization and the importance of visualization, right? And you're, you were an athlete, I was an athlete, I still try to say I'm an athlete, right as a joke. But a lot of that in, you know, I posted a video yesterday of CrossFit, I love CrossFit now, primarily, because I was an athlete, I played football, baseball and basketball. And I love the camaraderie. I love each other. I love talking shit to each other.
Starting point is 00:23:46 I love that thing. Now, I'm 37. I'm not going to be the guy who lifts the most weight. I'm not going to be the guy who is the speed racer. Yeah. But being around that and being around that environment is so powerful to me. But when I am doing something that is going to be challenging, so, for example, snatches is a workout that are challenging. I visual, I literally visualize, I'm grabbing the bar and I close my eyes for two or three seconds and I visualize the movement from the bottom all the way up.
Starting point is 00:24:16 And I promise you, I went from being able to snatch 95 pounds to well over about 200 pounds, just not because I'm stronger, but because I visualize the right movement. I see my technique, right? The technique of it, visualization, not just in sports, but in business and visualizing where you want to be and what you have to do and be able to put yourself in the first person role. So like I don't play video games, but I understand first person role. So like, I don't play video games, but I understand first person video games where all you do is you see the gun and the other people you don't see yourself. That's the first person and the emotion when you visualize, put yourself in the emotion of winning and succeeding what you're trying. And if you do those two things, man, it is unstoppable. Your confidence
Starting point is 00:25:04 goes up. You believe more than you've ever been able to believe before. So I love that you've mentioned this visualization, right? You talked about these massive goals. They're done in your head. Now you just have to put in the work and the timing has to be right for it to be achieved, right? It's already done. It's not even a question. The universe has that done for you. You know what I mean? Absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. That's huge, bro. That is absolutely massive. Listen, you know, if you could give, you know, I have 10,000 people download these episodes a week and they range from someone who's just starting to someone who is multimillionaire already and needs a new
Starting point is 00:25:41 kick in the pants. Give someone maybe the newbies a word of advice. Now I'm an investor. I am no longer a realtor as you and I've talked. That wasn't my world, but I respect the shit out of people who do it like yourself. I have another friend, Brett Tanner. He is a monster in the game, right? With Keller Williams. So give a newbie, a new entrepreneur, whether you want to talk about business, being a realtor, the value of it, however you want. What would be your first, you know, what would you say to them? Yeah, that's a great question. I would say it all starts with the foundation of it all and a decision that you as a man or woman must make. And it's a black and white decision.
Starting point is 00:26:28 There is no gray. There can't be. You have to decide step number one, if you are going to live your life by faith or by fear. That's it. Amen. That's it. Cut and dry. Simple as that. Because I the relationships that they keep. Fear guides the decisions that they make. And fear is the driving force behind who they are, what they do, what they don't do. You can literally see it on people's faces. Right? Versus if you decide to live your life by faith, which quite frankly, it's tougher. But if you decide to live your life by faith, then that is the power and that drives what you do. I mean, how else can you explain a 13-year-old that said, all right, well, I'll just learn how to drive and I'll drive us around. Fucking need to do it.
Starting point is 00:27:37 It's faith. Yes. Right? How else can you describe an 18-year-old that says, by the time I'm 21, I'm going to get us out of here and buy us a house. Right. When no one else around. Dude, at 21, 22, people thought I was like an alien. Like, I couldn't hang with anybody my age.
Starting point is 00:27:54 Right, right. Nobody my age was thinking the way I was thinking. I was hanging with 40-year-olds. And quite frankly, I was out earning all the 40-year-olds back then. No doubt. You know what I'm saying? But it's because I was thinking different than them, you know? So I say step number one for all of our listeners right now is you have got to make that decision. And you got to just like, like draw the line in the sand and say like, from this point forward, fear no longer dictates my
Starting point is 00:28:20 life. From this point forward, I'm going to live by faith in the smallest decisions, in the smallest relationships, even in the biggest ones. If they're not faith driven people, then I'm going to slowly back them away because I don't want that energy influencing me. So I would say that's step number one. Step number two, you have to decide what you want. You got to get very, very clear. I'm going to say it again. There is no gray. It is either black or white. Either you will move your mom into a house by the time you're 21 or you won't.
Starting point is 00:28:58 Either one is fine. That's a decision you must make. Either you will continue living in your shithole apartment or you won't. Either you will continue driving that putt-putt that you're driving or you won't. Either you will continue not having money in the bank or you won't. Either you will continue getting stuck at $150,000 a year or you won't. Either you will become a millionaire by a year, or you won't. Either you will become a millionaire by certain date, or you won't.
Starting point is 00:29:28 I don't know. That's up to you. Yeah. That's up to you. I mean, we can help you. We can coach you. We can show you what has helped us. But at the end of the day, if you live by faith,
Starting point is 00:29:39 listen to me very carefully, everybody. If you live by faith, then what's the next natural step? Decide what you want. And if you're living by faith, just throw it out there. Yep. Just throw it out there. Look, I have here, I will be a national host in that note of a nationally broadcasted television show, like Oprah status.
Starting point is 00:29:58 That's dope. I don't know the first thing about television. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've never, I don't know, but it's okay. I already know what's going to happen. Yeah. I didn't know the first thing about television. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've never, I don't know, but it's okay. I already know what's going to happen. Yeah. I didn't know the first thing about hosting the event. How the hell do I have A-Rod and Rob Dyrdek and M.I. Letta? You just, you got to live by faith, right? I hear you. Step number three, you have to make a plan. You got to make a plan, okay? And I mean a detailed attack plan. And by the way, I'm going
Starting point is 00:30:25 to say something to your listeners here. If you're listening, stop waiting for someone to tell you what to do. Listen to me very carefully. The only reason you do not know what to do is because you live by fear and you're not clear with what you want. The minute you get clear that you're going to live your life by faith and you understand exactly what you want. Think of those two forces. Faith. I know exactly what I want. Guess what naturally happens. All right. Yeah. I know what to do. Yeah. Even if it's not perfect, even if it's not the most efficient way, guess what? You will figure some stuff. I need a better schedule. I need to learn how to speak better. I need to learn how to communicate better. I need to learn how to become a better salesperson. You will figure it out. I need to pick up the phone. I need to go door knock and I need to whatever the case may be. And those are, I think the first
Starting point is 00:31:15 three things that people need to do. They happen to be literally the first three chapters in the book. And that's why I designed it that way is because I really believe it's a roadmap to success. Amen. I would say this, I'm going to add one little thing that I'm just such a big component of because I agree with everything you just said. With faith needs to come action. Hold on, hold on. Don't even say another word. Chapter four, take massive inspired action. That was the only thing that I'm like, because I agree 100% with your first four. Anytime I say anything, you have to believe it before you see it. Yep.
Starting point is 00:31:52 And you have to have a direction and a plan. But that doesn't do anybody any good if they sit around thinking about those books. And I love these books. And I've read all of the books. The Power of Now, The Power of Positive Thinking. I've read all of them. I love them. and I've read all the books the power of now the power of positive thinking I've read all of them I love them and I believe them the component that I really try to enforce when I'm talking to somebody you need that but right alongside is the actions that you are going to take to achieve them because you can't sit in my desk and say I'm gonna go make a million
Starting point is 00:32:23 dollars here I know it. I believe it. It just, that is not what they, that's not what you're talking about. That is not what the authors are talking about. You have to take your four strategies. And the fourth to me is as important as anything. Sure. Take, cause done is better than perfect.
Starting point is 00:32:40 Too often. I work with clients all over the world, right? All over the, well, let's say all over the country. I'm not quite international, but from New York to San Diego, I have clients, private clients that I work with. And what I really enforce with them is done is better and perfect. Take the actions to get it done. Don't worry about making your actions perfect. Just get the damn thing done. Start moving forward because then you can pivot. You can change to your point. You just added Rob Dyrdek to your schedule. That wasn't done two weeks ago or when you thought of this. You pivoted. You made something better. You changed. Done is better than perfect no matter
