guys all had a great July 4th weekend, but I did a lot of reading this weekend. And one of the books
that I've read already and I reread this weekend and just finished was the four
agreements by Paulo Coelho and one of the chapters talks about being true to
yourself and not worrying about other people's perception of you and what he
talks about in this chapter really is that people get so caught up with how people
perceive them that they start losing themselves in their day-to-day actions, in what makes
them happy.
And so they stop focusing on what makes them happy and they start worrying more about how
are people perceiving what they are doing.
How do they perceive the job that they have. How do they perceive the job that they
have? How do they perceive the clothes that they're wearing? So on and so forth. And really
what happens is a little piece of you starts dying inside each and every day because you're
so concerned with what other people think and what other people are perceiving of you that you lose
the happiness that is within you and what you care about and what you want to
wear, what job you want to get or possibly become an entrepreneur like myself and give things to
the world. So the chapter really hit home with me and I wanted to share it with you here on
the Motivational Monday because too often do people care about what other people think and they lose track about what
really matters to them.
And it really is detrimental to the person and also to the world because the person who's
unhappy about what's going on can't share the joy that is really meant to be shared
in the world.
So, you know, my tip for today and my motivational Monday is all about be true to yourself.
Stop caring about what people think of you or the perception of you.
Do what makes you happy.
That's the most important thing, guys.
That's my motivational Monday.
The book is called The Four Agreements by Paulo Coelho, an unbelievable book.
Today's motivational Monday is just about a little section about people's perception of you and your own happiness and how it's more important to focus on what really makes you happy inside and not what people think you should be doing or should be wearing or whatever other circumstances there are.
So that's what I got today for Motivational Monday, guys.
I'm Justin Colby and I look forward to seeing you guys next week on our Motivational Monday.
