Hey, what's up everybody? It is Devin Burr, aka Mr. Burr. Wanted to actually come to you
guys. It is Wednesday. I've been on vacation. I am back and I'm feeling amazing because
mainly there's one thing that I do very consistently that I think is huge. And a lot of people
neglect to do this and it is setting your goals and then reviewing those goals on a
regular basis. So I wanted to actually talk to you guys today about that process and what I go
through in order to do that and how it keeps me focused on what I'm trying to do keeps me intentional in my life. So basically what I do is every morning
I have a routine. I get up in the morning very early. Actually, I get up at three 30 in the
morning and I go meditate. So I get my mind clear. I get my mind in a great space about 10 minutes.
I just focus on my breathing. And I focused on just
being if that makes sense, not worrying about, you know, what's going to happen in the day,
not worrying about what happened the day before, just literally focus on being present and being,
you know, focusing on my breath, breathe in, breathe out. So that's step one. I do that
every morning. And then once I've done that for about five, 10 minutes, then what I do is I write
down my goals and I write them down as if I've already achieved them. So a lot of people, when
they write their goals down, they say, I want this, I want that.
But if you do it that way, it makes it to where it's always something that you're wanting,
not something that you have. And you have to set your goals in a way to where your mind,
you start believing that it's already there. And if, if you can really visualize something in your mind
as being real, it's just a matter of time before it actually is real in your life. So example would
be, I have a goal right now of getting to $50,000 a month in passive income. So instead of writing down the goal of, I want to get to $50,000 a month
in passive income, I write it down as if it's already achieved. So I say, I have, very important,
I have $50,000 a month in passive income from my rental portfolio. So again, I'm writing it down as if it's already achieved.
Another goal that I have is I have paid off all of my debt. I have X amount of dollars in the bank.
I have X, Y, Z, right? So you always want to write down your goals as if they are
already achieved. And you want to do that for your financial goals. You want to do that for
your spiritual goals, for your family goals, whatever it may be. So always frame them as if
they have already been achieved. That's step one. And then you want to do them consistently.
A lot of people, New Year's resolution comes around and they're like, you know, I'm going to
do this. I'm going to do that. Here's my goals. They write them down once and then they're easily
forgotten. You got to do it every day. So if you are writing them down as if they are already
achieved and you're doing that on a daily basis, you are
basically programming your mind to believe they are already in your life. And if that's what your
belief is, and your constant thoughts are geared around that, they're going to become reality.
It's just a matter of time. So basically what you want to do is write down your goals every day,
write them down as if they're already achieved and preferably do this first thing in the morning,
because it is scientifically proven that your mind is the most impressionable first thing in the morning. So instead of waiting
till the end of the day or the middle of the day, when you've got so many things going on,
your focus is off, focus on them in the morning. That's why I do it first thing I meditate.
And then I get to my goals. So by meditating, I clear my mind. I am perfectly present in the
moment. And then I write my goals down as if those goals are already attained. Do it on a daily basis.
And this is actually very powerful stuff, guys. I was like, holy moly, like I'm doing this and everything
that I've been writing down is actually becoming real. And I remember that because I told my wife
that I was like, this is insane. Let me read these goals off to you that I've been writing down
every day. And I was reading them off and i'm like that is literally my life right now
Those are the things that i'm i've already achieved
And their goals I had been writing down as if they were already achieved, but they actually became reality
So guys, it's very powerful stuff
Write them down consistently
Write them down as if they're already achieved
And have it in every aspect of your life,
not just financially.
Have it spiritually.
Have it with your family, family goals.
You want to have a balance.
So you don't want to go try to make all the money in the world
and the rest of your life is just horrible.
Have health goals.
So I write those down every day as well.
I write down, I am in incredible health. I am incredibly lean and in shape. Those kinds of things are important
just as much as financial goals. So I hope this helps you guys. Again, this is structuring your
goals as if they're already achieved, do it on a regular basis instead of just once, do it every day. And then another thing you can do, keep them visual.
So a place that you see a lot,
keep those goals around
so you constantly see them throughout the day.
So I hope this helps you guys.
Until next time, I love y'all.
Peace.
