Starting point is 00:00:01 What's up everybody this is Devin Burr aka Mr. Burr. Hope everyone is doing fantastic. I just got off of a podcast interview with one of my homies and just feel great, feel grateful. I wanted to jump on here and just you know spread that love, spread that energy to you guys. So I hope whoever is listening that this helps you in some way if you're having a bad day, bad week, bad month, if you've had a bad year, whatever it may be, just to always be grateful. There's so much to be grateful for if you start really looking for those things. So, for instance, let's say you don't have much. You've got some financial struggles. Things have been tough, and it seems like nothing goes your way. Really think about it. You can be grateful for the fact that you have two hands. You can be grateful for the fact you have two arms, two legs, two eyes, the fact you can talk, the fact that you can bring value to other people by your energy. If you've got a wife, kids, there's always something to be grateful for. And if you focus on those things, what tends to happen is you get more things to be grateful for. And if you focus on those things, what tends to happen is you get more things to be grateful
Starting point is 00:01:28 for. Like gratitude is one of the most powerful things. And a lot of people just don't tap into it. They focus on things that they don't want, the things that they don't like, the things that bring them grief, sorrow, anxiety. They focus on those things. So obviously, if you focus on those things, what's going to happen is you're going to get more of that in your life. It's going to show up more in your life. However, if you focus on the things you're grateful for, you're going to get more of those things, more things to be grateful for. And not only that, you're going to have a better energy about yourself. You're going to get more of those things, more things to be grateful for. And not only that, you're going to have a better energy about yourself. You're going to attract people that are on that same wavelength. If you are always in a state of gratitude,
Starting point is 00:02:15 think about the people you're attracting into your life. If you're always in a state of woe is me, think about the people you're attracting into your life. Misery loves company. So if you're constantly miserable, if you're constantly in a bad state of mind, all you're doing is inviting more of that into your life and more people of like, like that in your life. And it's just going to perpetuate. It's going to just keep growing and just become more of the same. So I urge you guys to actually focus your energy on
Starting point is 00:02:46 gratitude, focus your energy on what you can control, which is your mindset and how you view things. Everything in life is happening for you, not to you. Okay. So great, great example is my car was stolen a few days ago. The car that I love was stolen a few days ago from my garage. And I was a little bummed, absolutely. Like really bummed actually. And I could have viewed that as like, gosh, why me? Like my life is this, my life is that. But I took a step back and thought, my life is amazing.
Starting point is 00:03:23 I've got all these great things. My car got stolen. It's a material thing. My family is safe. They didn't break into my house. So my wife is safe. My daughter is safe. My dogs are safe. They stole a car. It sucks, but it happened. Nothing I can do but learn from it. So what did I learn? Be more careful. There's now a camera in my garage. I no longer leave my keys in the garage for the cars. I take them inside. I lock the cars. And by the way, the car is back. The police recovered it. So again, though, it all comes down to your mindset. And if you look at things as a learning opportunity and you're grateful for that opportunity, you're gonna get more things to be grateful for.
Starting point is 00:04:10 I'm gonna leave you guys with this because I don't want this to run too long. But one thing that I do is I keep something in my pocket every day so that when I reach into my pocket and I pull it out, I'm reminded to be grateful. And it's this, I've got this chapstick. I reach into there. I feel the chapstick. And I think, what can I be grateful for? And I think about those things. And that way I'm always grateful because how often do you stick your hands in your pockets?
Starting point is 00:04:39 Quite often, right? So I hope this helps somebody. I love you guys i hope everyone is fantastic and having a great day if not before you're having one now so stay tuned guys i'm going to be bringing more of this as i feel compelled to share how i'm feeling so i love you guys we'll see you later peace
