Starting point is 00:00:00 We interrupt this program. Previously, critics had brailed against the duo as crude, dumb, ugly, thoughtless, sexist, self-destructive, and foolish. They are not part of the legitimate business world. What they do is they celebrate underachievement. And all candor, I would tell you it's outrageous, Phil. And if I could find some way constitutionally to do away with it, I would. Chili! Chili.
Starting point is 00:00:52 That was a shocker walking on my front door this morning. It was at 2 o'clock in the morning and wake up and go, go, oh. Really? That I left everything open. 36 in Utica, 41 Syracuse. It was chilly going to bed, but I was like, nah, it would be fine. Turned out the heaters from my family when they woke up this morning because it was crisp in the house. I've been using that stationary one I have.
Starting point is 00:01:19 Your little stand-alone heater? even nights during the summer where it would just get like a little bit chilly and I'd be like throw that on it cares this has to be the lowest temperature we've had in a while we're down in the 30s man got to be hopefully you brought in your vegetables and such if need be 57 is only our high today so you're in it guys we're in it we're in it we're in it I put on pants how was Monday night football last night. Any good? It was actually the game itself wasn't very good, but there was like
Starting point is 00:01:51 fun plays and stuff, and that's going to be a blowout, which the Falcons have turned a little bit of a corner. I at least want there to be fun plays. Good. And there were. But Falcons gave him the business. We'll get into all this stuff as another
Starting point is 00:02:07 roof assisted out in the playoffs last night. They keep hitting that roof. Have you been following that? In Tampa? Yeah. I didn't see it, but it has happened. Two nights ago, I saw the ball. It might have been the Padres game that hit the roof. So the Padres got a home run stolen from them.
Starting point is 00:02:29 And then last night, the Yankees lost one to the roof. We got some roof interference. But I guess they all agree to it. They know the rules. That and these guys all now are monsters of humans. They're hitting the roof, man. So we really can't. What are you going to build it a mile tall?
Starting point is 00:02:48 Yeah. It's part of it. It's so much you can do. There's only so much you can do. But yeah. Yeah, Katie says with good baseball last night. For the second time during the current MLB playoffs, the ball hit an indoor stadium's roof and was caught for an out.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Here, this is the playoff. We'll talk more about this later. Spencer Jones, a towering fly ball to center. Oh, Spencer. That's a big dude. We saw him. And no, he hit one of the rings. Hit the ring.
Starting point is 00:03:14 I think it's playable here. It's a live ball. It's a lot. I think it hit the B ring up there. It did. Yep. Oh, I hate going to the ball hit my B ring. When you come into Tropicana Field, it is quirky.
Starting point is 00:03:27 It's been a long time. The top two rings, the A and the B. After a two confronts, it's determined that the ball did fall down. The batter is out. Yeah, two nights ago. You can see the clip. The Padres, one, I don't know players, but the Padres guy, it would have been a home run. But it hit the roof.
Starting point is 00:03:44 I feel their. Caught in milk. In milk hockey. Yep, so the raise won. Five to two, they lead two nothing in that series. That'll be it then. Yankees got to win three in a row. So, you know, we got a lot going on.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Friends, here on a Tuesday, we will get into your high strangeness. Oh, funny. Of course, twitch.tv slash the show or the show. Dot FM. If you want to find all their links and locations, yeah, that's crazy, right? Oh, that's a good run for a TV dunes. Nine years ago. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:04:13 That is pretty good. Dune's and Chewens. saying her TV just turned itself off last night. They don't make them like they used to these televisions. It said, go to bed. Go to bed. Go to bed. I kill myself now.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Goodbye. Go to bed. And then I want to tell you, it makes it go back. Okay. I thought, and I'm in, good morning. This is K. Rock, by the way, all the words. I thought, and again, as someone who's in this industry, I thought we were done with Aerosmith.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Like, didn't, like, bad. First of all, don't Joe Perry and Stephen Tyler hate each other? Isn't that a thing? I always thought they did. I got to get Rick D. O'Leal on the fine. I'm going to wake him up at 6.15 in the morning. And I thought he was on trial for being gross and taking an underage girl from her house and go on, like, tour with him. I thought we were, I thought we had said, you know what, Aerosmith, take care because they're coming back, apparently.
Starting point is 00:05:03 I didn't have a problem with them. I just, once that came out, it's like, pro. Yeah, same. Like in the, back in the 1900s, I was like, DeResmith's fine. And then you start to learn he's like, you know, a predator and stuff. Yeah, if I'm going to be impartial to you, can't sway me the other way by being a piece of garbage. I mean, the things I did to myself to Aerosmith music videos will be studied forever. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:26 Apparently they announced yesterday they're coming back at the Hollywood Bowl. Do you even know how to spell Aerosmith? It's Anne Friends, Ross. Aerosmith and Friends. That looks great. Don't you misperforming? Of all the things I ever missed, I miss my mind the most. That's Stephen Tyler.
Starting point is 00:05:49 The dates are the October 29th and November 1st. They're coming back to the Hollywood Bowl, Aerosmith and Friends. That's weird. Okay. I was just always kind of indifferent to Aerosmith, you know? Like, they didn't really... I liked them in that Armageddon soundtrack, but... Can I...
Starting point is 00:06:11 Go ahead. used to confuse the hell out of me. It was something my mind just won't ever accept. What? That, that Dream On song is him. I know. It doesn't sound like him, right?
Starting point is 00:06:24 It's not. It's not him. It's not him. He changed his singing style after that. Yeah, it's just very confusing to me when I hear. And I'm like, that's, well, I know he does a little bit of it in that, but it's not him. Yeah. Early Aerosmith sounds different than later Aerosmith.
Starting point is 00:06:41 Yeah. He just changed his sound. I was always just like, that's not the same. You guys got fooled. There's so many great Stephen Tyler memes. Like, he dresses like the mom that'll let you drink as long as it stays at her house. Yep, you got to drink here. Got to stay here, guys.
Starting point is 00:06:56 You can have Zimas, but you got to stay here. Yep. Always has cigarettes in the center console over car. They posted all will be revealed 7 a.m. Pacific time. So I guess, like 10 o'clock, 10. day we find out. Is that after he drops his girlfriend off at high school? She's got to, yeah, she's got to go to class.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Oh, okay. He's going to announce. I don't know. I was indifferent to him in the 1990. I thought we had signed off and said, thank you, Aerosmith. Thank you for your years of service. We are moving on. Yeah, I could have sworn he was going to be on trial.
Starting point is 00:07:30 And that aside, I thought they hated each other. Like, one of those bands. I'm going to call Rick B. The sexual assault lawsuit against him does not have a current active trial date because the judge is too big of a fan recused herself. Is that just saying goodbye? I don't want to do this right now. She might have a, she might have said, you know what I have.
Starting point is 00:07:52 But that doesn't mean that it's over. I'm a big Aerosmith fan, so I've got to recuse myself of this. Oh, gotcha, gotcha. But yeah, that doesn't mean it's over. And how do they sound? Like all these older bands, guys. Come on. Yeah. Shout out to Metallica. They still sound great somehow. The guys, James will smoke a full ass cigar, before going on stage.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Right. Still sounds great. But you catch like Motley Crew or even Axel Rose. Yeah. No, I thought that he had some throat thing so he couldn't sing anymore. Wasn't that also a thing years ago in the last like 15 years? I don't know. Enjoy Aerosmith and Friends.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Who's the friends? And who are the friends? The who? Who? I don't even know who they'd bring out. Yeah, I don't know. Ed Shearing. I don't even know who they know.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Yep. They're setting out. to find the Amelia Earhart playing, Cody. Yeah, it's interesting, I guess. Did you see this already? No, I just knew that they thought they knew where it was, right, from that little thing they've shown on, like, the Today Show a thousand times. And I guess no one ever went to check it.
Starting point is 00:08:58 Like, all we've seen is, like, satellite imagery. Yeah. And we're like, that's probably it. But then somebody's a thing that could be a tree, though. So they're like, fine. We'll go look at it. Right. You might as well go see, which I mean, at the very least, don't you get to go to, like, a nice tropical island?
Starting point is 00:09:17 Kirabiti or Kiribati? I don't know to say it. I have no idea where she crashed. A 17-person team has departed Tarawa Kiribati. I don't know what that means. Heading toward Nika Mororo Island. No. Nope.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Yeah, these are all very remote places. But where does that even meet? Like, where is? I don't know no geography. know that about me. I don't know what that is. You're asking me to find Nika Ramomo. I don't know where Idaho is.
Starting point is 00:09:45 So, good luck there. I can barely find New Hampshire. I'm just a couple hundred miles from it. What's the thing? Karaoke Islands? Hey, can find me. Terawa, Kiribati, K-I-R-I-B-A-T-I. That's where they're leaving.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Oceania? What the? You got to remember she was trying to circumvent the globe in a plane. But she was going to be out there. But not to say that anybody's dumb, but I'm smarter than this. What, what happened? I don't know where any of these places are. Yeah, dude.
Starting point is 00:10:27 You can tell me this is... This world is very vast and large. And once you get out in the ocean, bro. All right, North Pacific Ocean. So like... Japan? Oh, wait, wait on there. Okay, I see it.
Starting point is 00:10:39 In between. Okay. Is it in between Japan and Hawaii? Yeah. Oh, well, let's see. Where's Hawaii? Hawaii's like the furthest part of our country had it towards, really?
Starting point is 00:10:50 So, but yes, but lower. The Atlantic Ocean or the Pacific Ocean? North Pacific. North Pacific Ocean. Yeah, so it's like she saw Hawaii like, oh, look, here's all the islands. She was like, oh, what if I go a billion miles that way instead? All right. Even, like, as much as I can fly over the ocean, my wife really wants to go to Hawaii at some point in our lives.
Starting point is 00:11:07 And I don't even know if I can handle that flight. because like in my brain I've grown up with maps that just show Hawaii right there in Alaska right there but then when you put it on like a real globe it's way out there man yeah it
Starting point is 00:11:21 way out there some of the views and pictures and videos you see from some of these places almost get me what do you mean like I really want to go to like a Bahamas Jamaica type stuff
Starting point is 00:11:36 you know what I mean like all those I love it It looks so much fun. Here's the irony, though. The crippling anxiety that even thinking about flying over the water gives me a four. You could depart New Jersey on a cruise ship and get there. No, no, no, no. But that's almost worse than a plane, isn't it? Yeah, I think I'd rather fly.
Starting point is 00:11:54 I'd rather fly. Because you'd be, there's like, there's at sea days where you're just on this boat. Thrown up. Seeing nothing, seeing nothing but water. Yeah. Remember years ago when I sent you that video from. nighttime on the ocean. Yep.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Or it was just nothingness. Even I hated that. That is just for... You don't see a light. No, forever. It's just dark. For forever. And you're just surrounded by whales and sharks, probably.
Starting point is 00:12:20 Praying to God this giant thing you're on just doesn't sink. And I just picture all of those predators looking up at the boats, like circling. I'm just waiting just all day. Yeah. Someone's going to fall over this. So they're headed out to investigate a mysterious shape spotted in satellite. images. It looks like a plane. They said that's probably her plane.
Starting point is 00:12:42 I think it looks like a plane. But it could be a tree. Purdue University is funding this. They plan to arrive on October 13th using sonar, magnometers, magnetometers, the things. You know what I'm saying. Water powered probe. Researchers will examine the
Starting point is 00:13:02 so-called terra. Guys, I'm sorry there's so many big words in this. It's a lot. Terria object. The thing. It's the object. The plane. The plane.
Starting point is 00:13:14 A circular shape with extending lines. Some believe could be her lockied Electra. Earnhardt navigator Fred Noonan vanished in July 1937 while searching for Howland Island in the Pacific. Previous investigations uncovered castaway evidence, vintage shoe parts matching her brand. And unidentified bones. Some experts believe that it's just simply a tree we're seeing. So she's not alive? No, even if she had survived that,
Starting point is 00:13:51 I think she'd be dead by natural causes by now. I mean, she'd be, well, how old would she have been? Amelia Earhart. Poured some out for her. She was born in. Rest in peace. 1897, so she'd be real dead by now, bud, by natural causes. So they're heading out, they're spending $500,000 to finally put this to rest.
Starting point is 00:14:19 Yeah, and again, worst case scenario, they get to go fly around in the warm waters of the North Pacific oceans. And you get out there and you spend $500,000 in all this time, and what if it is just a tree? That's what I mean. That's a tree. Then, you know what, though? Now we know. Mystery gets to continue. Oh, some say she's still flying to this day.
Starting point is 00:14:41 Oh. That's what I like to believe. Those people are idiots. Rob's a Jupiter in her head. Is that what that is out there? Good morning. This is K. Rock. I thought we were going to play some train.
Starting point is 00:14:57 I don't know. What can I? I don't know. Like there's something by the moon. People were posting photos all night out by the moon. What planet is by the moon right now? I say planet, I don't know. Jupiter and Mars are positioned very close to the moon.
Starting point is 00:15:12 You can see it. All right. It doesn't help anything. I don't know. I think it might be Jupiter. There's someone smarter, though. Well, good morning, everybody. Happy Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:15:22 What I think it is, for sure. Uranus. Yeah. I can check, though, if you want. Getting ready for the open crack market. Yeah, it's Jupiter, text line of saying. Cool. Was it like especially bright last night or something?
Starting point is 00:15:32 Is that why we could see it? It was really bright when it was darker. Yeah. I wish I remembered when I first got here. Because I saw it this morning and I was like, yo, that's an alien. Yeah, Jupiter is disappearing behind the moon this morning. So you'll see the moon and then either above it or beneath it. You see what appears to be a bright star.
Starting point is 00:15:55 The waning crescent moon is making an exceptionally close approach to Jupiter overnight. Look at you guys. That sounds crazy. Well, they caught them. They caught the crossword bandit, Cody. I know you were worried about this. I had enough every time I'd get my Sunday paper. All of a sudden, I'd flip to my favorite section.
Starting point is 00:16:13 Boom. Puzzle would be done. He had a, I mean, I don't like stealing. Please don't steal from restaurants or businesses, but he had a move where he'd go to a bar and he'd order a beer, and he would drink a beer. But he would leave half of a filled crossword puzzle on the counter to give the illusion like he just went to the,
Starting point is 00:16:35 the bathroom and he's going to obviously come back and finish his crossword and he never came back. Pretty smart. Don't you dare do it. But that's a good gimmick. Pretty smart. That's not bad. That's a jerk. He's heading to the restroom and never saw him again.
Starting point is 00:16:50 But there is his crossword puzzle book that he always leaves at the bar. He looked over and he goes, oh my God, that's the guy. And he's sitting right over here. And I was like, oh my God, it is him. Like, that's so crazy. Left half the beer. So I kept thinking, well, he's coming back. That's why I didn't look for him for a good amount of time
Starting point is 00:17:08 Because I was like, oh, he's in the bathroom where he's outside I was like, oh, good part of the scam. Restaurants across this part of Florida say he's done this all over town. That's, in one case he ordered $47 worth of beer. All right. Got up, left his crossword puzzle there and never came back. That's he usually, though, I mean, unless he's at like a table or something. Usually though, you're going to do that.
Starting point is 00:17:33 If you give like a credit card or something. I usually always give like a, open a tab. Well, it's Florida. Things are different on in Florida. Nothing really makes sense down there. No. The report says that, so deputies made contact with the guy. What's his name?
Starting point is 00:17:49 Walditch. Waldich? Waldich. Waldich. Ronald. Big Ron. Come on, Big Ronnie. Russ report says they were called there after employees saw him trying to pull the scam,
Starting point is 00:18:00 like he just heard in that audio. Yeah. He was reportedly seen leaving the restaurant, getting on, a bicycle and riding off. He's got a bike. I mean, he's a loser who doesn't pay for beers, so he's got, yeah, he's riding his bike off. Yeah, you're staying in the same area. Eventually, it's going to catch up to you, bud. Mm-hmm. And Kelly's right, $47, there's only three beers. It's not very many beers. He had a sip of something. That'd be like going around here in Armory Square and just going to the different bars and trying to act like, and be shocked when
Starting point is 00:18:29 somebody catches you from whiskey coop at crooked cattle. I don't go to bars very often, but Anytime I have, it's one or two. You have two options. They give you the beer and you pay right then. Or you give them your car and you say leave it open. You want to open a tab and then you give that. So that's what I mean. So how did you get away would just keep order?
Starting point is 00:18:49 Like there was. That's what I'm saying. Maybe things are different down there. But you have to, you're not going to keep getting beers unless you're paying. Or unless he was at a table. It was like, I'm going to order at least at table for one. I got friends coming. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:04 Or just, no, I'm going to go to Tully's. And I'm going to sit and watch football. I'm going to order food eventually. We're going to make a couple beers first. And then you're out, 99 cents for a crossword buck, I guess. Yeah. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:19:27 What? Alex. Alex just called you? Alex just called you? Call you? I don't know if something was going on. Are we good? Something wrong?
Starting point is 00:19:35 I don't know. Everything all right? Okay. Are we not on? I don't know what's going on. I don't know. Sorry. All right.
Starting point is 00:19:43 Ahoy, hoi, everybody. Happy Tuesday. get into your high strangeness. And this one, this one is, oh yeah, well, you can get a little high, but this one I think is more silly, in my opinion. Okay, I'm ready. It's the Dover Demon. Probably should inhale.
Starting point is 00:20:02 It's the Dover Demon. Because. That couple nicknames. It is accrupted. And it is from Dover, Massachusetts. And I'll play you the news article about the Dover Demon. but part of me feels like in the 70s
Starting point is 00:20:22 a couple teenagers made up a thing and now they got to kind of lean into it oh-o-dokey. Because they're the only ones who have ever seen the Dover Demon there's Alex right there. Oh. I don't know what's going on.
Starting point is 00:20:33 I don't know what's going on. I don't know if she's going to let him in. The Dover Demon is a watermelon head three-foot-tall creature that's 17-year-old Bill Bartlett. So it's Stewie? saw on Farm Street back in 1977.
Starting point is 00:20:57 He's kind of the only one who's ever seen it. A couple other teens, maybe his buddies were like, yeah. Yeah, we saw it too. But then no one else has ever seen it but him. I was going to say, so it sounds like did he maybe break a window playing baseball and said, no. No, the Dover Demon did it. The Dover Demon did it? The Dover Demon done did it?
Starting point is 00:21:18 Yeah. First saw. On April 21st, 1977, 17-year-old Bill Bartlett was driving on Farm Street. That's where I drive. When he spotted a small hairless creature crouching on a stone wall, he claimed it had glowing eyes that reflected his headlights. And then two other groups of teenagers reported seeing it too. And then no one's ever seen it.
Starting point is 00:21:49 So it was just like a little naked guy crouching on a little thing. I would love for the Dover Demon to be, like, yeah, sounds like Bill had fun on 420. Good call, Jojo. It was April 21st. So. Was it Stewie? They're going to interview him in this clip. I think that maybe Bill told a tall tale.
Starting point is 00:22:06 And now he just got to kind of stick with it. And he's got to go with it because, like, somebody told the news. Yeah, and this is the news. And the news is like, hey, Mr. Bartlett. This is an article that this is a new story that came out like a week ago because it's been, they're like celebrating the internet. anniversary of the Dover demon and they found Bill and Bill did an interview. He's got to still pretend that Dover demon was a thing.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Today it's a peaceful place. Dover is a very small town. We have 6,200 residents. We have a Dunkin' Donuts. Oh. That's pretty big. But in April 1977, that all briefly changed thanks to a series of mysterious reported sightings. Some people called it a demon, the younger ones,
Starting point is 00:22:51 labeled it the creature. And no one knows why it chose Dover one of the wealthiest towns in the state to make a landing. That's the original newscast. Our high school students reported spotting something alarming in the woods on three separate occasions. The Dover Demon, it's quite popular in cryptozoology circles. It's such an interesting part of Dover.
Starting point is 00:23:10 Yeah, yeah. But they're not watching. What is on this T-shirt? I don't know to describe that. So Bill goes home that night and tells his family about it, and he draws a picture of the Dover demon. That's what he drew? That's what he drew.
Starting point is 00:23:25 Looks like a Dr. Seuss character. And I'm not trying to discredit you, Bill. I hope you did see a demon, but this is the only ever drawing that exists of the Dover demon. Okay. They're putting it on merch. This woman is yes, saying it's popular in crypto psychology or whatever, but come on. There was questions about did it really happen.
Starting point is 00:23:45 Did it not really happen? It was the talk of the town at the time. So the reaction was very mixed. Everybody thought, you know, maybe these kids were playing a prank. At the center was 17-year-old high school junior, Bill Bartlett. Here's Bill! I saw a really strange looking... Now, look at Bill.
Starting point is 00:24:03 Again, not to sully your name, Bill, but I didn't realize it was a day after 420, and it looks like maybe you dabbled a little bit. That's all of our dads back then. That's everyone's dad. Look at our dad's hair. In 1977. That's our dad's hairs. Right there.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Creature type thing. Sort of looked like a monkey that had been shaved without any nose. nose or any mouth or anything like that or any tail. The orange eyes, it kind of glowed like cat's eyes when the headlights hit it. I saw it and the other people saw it and we've all verified it. And I'd swear to it that I saw it. 50 years later, Bartlett is him changing his... This is Bill now.
Starting point is 00:24:38 He's still alive. He's doing well. He ain't giving up the Dover Demon Tail. He's wearing apparently the same size shorts. Yeah, Bill. Let's go size up on those shorts. For those you're just listening, Bill's in a chair. He's got these little tiny shorts on.
Starting point is 00:24:51 You got a lot of package. I can see what religion year are. Yeah. Dory, take me back to April 21st, 1977. What happened on that evening? I'm driving down Farm Street, and I saw something in the distance on a stone wall. And as I got closer, I saw this thing climbing over the wall. It was probably maybe 75 feet away.
Starting point is 00:25:12 I recognize that this isn't something normal. Went home that night and did a drawing of it. That's the drawing that I told you. He drew that on a rock. I saw this creature. It's got a big fat watermelon head, a little tiny skinny body. Ain't got no mouth to eat nothing, though. It got no mouth.
Starting point is 00:25:28 Good call. It and showed my parents. Still, plenty of questions remain. You're 17 years old. You're with your buddies. Yeah. Was there anything going on prior to hanging out that maybe would have given you a false image of anything? No drinking, no drugs.
Starting point is 00:25:47 No mushrooms. No. No. No. No. No. Okay. There was nothing going on.
Starting point is 00:25:52 Except for two more sightings that week reported by classmates with whom Bill wasn't especially close. Word spread piquing the interest of others in nearby towns. Somebody told me I should go and talk with these guys and there's a guy named Lauren Coleman. And he is a cryptozoologist and he'd like to talk to you. I've been interested in crypto zoology since 1960. I got involved when I saw a science fiction movie, went to my teachers and said, What is this?
Starting point is 00:26:25 Coleman spoke to us from the International Cryptozoology Museum in Bangor, Maine. If you're just tuning in, this is the story of the Dover Demon, Dover, Massachusetts, 1977. Mm-hmm. Your high strangeness, they saw a watermelon head, skinny little figure with orange eyes. Bill saw it, told his parents. Turned out this guy also saw.
Starting point is 00:26:47 It looks like if Groot was wearing a costume the whole time. Good point. And Groot took it off and now that's what he looks like. This guy apparently also saw it and he swears he didn't know Bill. She found it. It has an entire display dedicated to the Dover Demon, a name Coleman says he coined. One of the things that was most remarkable about these eyewitnesses is that they were very credible. Especially, says Coleman, Bill Bowman.
Starting point is 00:27:17 I found him extremely credible later in life. He became more and more artistic in terms of sharing what he'd done and it really just was unbroken line from the time he was a young man. He was able to remember exactly what he wanted to draw and he drew it. Bartlett's photographic memory which led to this iconic image was both a blessing and a curse. So that moment really changed your life. I became something of a little novelty, and it was annoying because people were saying horrible things about me.
Starting point is 00:27:53 I was making it up. I was on some drugs. It's just annoying when people who don't know who I am or what I'm about will say things that are negative about me. I'm sorry, Bill. We've now fallen into that category as well as we see your bulge. Bulgey, Bill. I just, I'm saying that it is not, maybe you, I hope you did see it, Bill.
Starting point is 00:28:11 I hope you saw the Dover demon. I like that line of what makes him credible is that he remembered what he wanted to draw, then he drew it. I think... There's no holes in that theory. No, that's it. That's extremely credible because there's no way that, no matter what he would have drawn on that picture on that page.
Starting point is 00:28:30 That's enough evidence for me. That would have been it. Yeah. No matter what. My sketches of the Pennville Pine Monster are all the evidence you need, friend. They guys like, yeah, it's exactly what it looks like. He's right. In the decades that followed, Bartlett, who claims he never profited off the demon,
Starting point is 00:28:44 turned his talent into a career as a fine artist. But as they said, the internet never forgets. And Bartlett says half the messages he gets on his professional page are about the creature he said he spotted 50 years ago. Do you regret speaking out about it and wish you kept it to yourself? Not really, no. It is what it is. And all I want, everybody knows, I definitely saw something.
Starting point is 00:29:11 I have no idea what it was. I didn't make it up. But just what was it? This is one of the few cases that I would say, I don't know. I couldn't say that there was definitely a creature out there, that there was definitely some unknown animal that people were chasing around, but it was unknown what they saw. Over the years, theories have ranged from a foal to an owl,
Starting point is 00:29:36 with some stretching the imagination. Monsters, a Martian. Martian? An out there theory, or is it? It turns out that the night before the first sighting, there was a UFO report in Medfield. I guess you can draw your own conclusions. Meanwhile, Dover has embraced its so-called demon, which has become a cultural phenomenon. This is what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:29:59 Comic books, card games, so many different podcast books. Do you see why I'm unironically leaning into the Pen of a Pine Monster? There is money to be made, my friend. Think profit. Articles that people have written on their. blogs, it's taking off. Fifty years later nearly that they're still embracing this story, how does that make you
Starting point is 00:30:20 feel? Well, I think that it's great that it gives kids something to go out and check out, and I love kids, and I want people to have fun and enjoy life. I'm going to try and catch it or something if I see it. That's his old clip right there. So I'm going to look for it
Starting point is 00:30:36 and try and catch it or something. Get it, Bill. There he is. Grubbly grooves over demon or two. Do you see what I'm saying? You pitch yourself a little demon story. You start putting out merch. You start writing books, all right? Right.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Twitch.tv slash the show or the show.fm. How do you make a name as the city's most compelling compact crossover? Well, the Lexus UX started with a refined suspension tuned for the streets. Then added a palette of distinctive, vibrant exterior colors, and kept it going with an available 12.3.3. 3-inch touchscreen using our intuitive Lexus interface. The Lexus UX, engineered to fit in, designed to stand out. See Burdick Lexus and Cicero.
Starting point is 00:31:26 Talking to Twitch about the Adirondacks is Whiteface Mountain already got some snowflakes. Oh, nice. This is K Rock. It's peak leaf changing time up there. They just show the graphic up there. I'm going up on Saturday to do the rail bike ride with my family. That'll be fun. I've never done that before.
Starting point is 00:31:42 It's going to look nice. Just dress appropriately. Oh yeah, we'll dress appropriately. I don't want anybody catching cold. And I was worried that it was going to be hard to do, but Sarah and chat says she did it. It's not very hard to do. No, once you imagine it, as soon as you get moving even the littlest bit,
Starting point is 00:31:57 you're rolling. You're on the rail. Should I bring some bear spray? Should I get bear spray? Nah. No? No. They, if you do see a bear, the second they see you, they're probably going to turn around.
Starting point is 00:32:08 They're going to be like, oh, my God. They don't want them to do with that stuff. Sarah says it was a lot of fun. my 15-year-old and her friend had a lot of fun. We loved it. Good. I hope my children can enjoy this with us as well. A little family fun, fall day.
Starting point is 00:32:19 Fall, family fun day. Yeah. And am I going to be near those trolls everyone's talking about? Where are those? I don't know where you are exactly, but isn't, aren't they way up north? And then they're going to be, there's going to put one down there for now. And then I'm assuming more and more. But I think it's up north further.
Starting point is 00:32:39 I'm in Sendara, New York, Sendara. Oh. Those are in Tupper Lake? Yeah. I don't know where you are as far as Tupper Lake is. I don't either. I don't know where Fendora is. I don't know where things are.
Starting point is 00:32:52 No. I put everything in just in that little tiny little circle. So, I mean, you're not right at the Candy Cottage. What's this even near? Oh, it is right outside of Old Forge, but they're saying it's Tupper Lake is. Okay, so I'm like an hour and a half. I think it's where I'm thinking that if it's before Old Forge. Kids?
Starting point is 00:33:13 Yeah, it's right before old. It's an Aronag Railbike is right before you get the old Ford Duff 28 there. Oh, you're going to... Kids, we're pedaling the Tapper Lake. That's like my favorite drive. What? Route 28? Well, the back, you do all the back ones.
Starting point is 00:33:28 Do all the back roads. Give me the best route to take then. Just nothing. I mean, those highways are, you know, are fine, but like any way that's just not, like, see where you are, you could cut straight across. From Fulton? Yeah. I don't know how to explain it. You go up 81 a little bit. Okay, 81, then through Lowville?
Starting point is 00:33:48 And then you just go down like, what's the road? Adam Center? Like Black Moose River Road or something. Because I remember when I went up and closed, or rode the, if you didn't know, last person to ride to Kilimanjaro. Yes, he was. But I did that and then immediately got in my car and drove to Southwick Beach on Lake Ontario. And it took me in a weird direction.
Starting point is 00:34:11 And it had me drive like straight across. You know that bridge that you go over in, when you're leaving Old Forge later on where it's the real nice creek underneath you and all that? If you take like a right, like right after that and just go straight almost forever. So I don't know. I kind of see what you're saying, but it does do like an ups and down. Yeah. It wants to take me.
Starting point is 00:34:34 There's a bunch of routes. It wants to take me down to Syracuse and then over to Rome and then from Rome up to Boonville and then over. That's usually the ease. easier one. But what I drive up there, I almost feel like I take a different route every single time. Yeah, you're all sending me different directions to take. I'm looking forward to a nice fall drive. Yeah, there's just so many roads and they're all going to be nice fall.
Starting point is 00:34:56 It's going to be a nice fall day to take a drive up to Adirondacks up there in Old Forge. You can just listen to the Vince Corraldi, great pumpkin soundtrack on a loop if you want. Is that what you do on your drive? Can. Is that what you do, though? Yes. Yes, it is. Okay.
Starting point is 00:35:14 Happy National Taco Day to those of you who celebrates. I would. You can. You can. Yes, I can. You absolutely can. Taco Day is October 6th. That is today.
Starting point is 00:35:26 Wow. Used to be October 4th. And then why do we change it? The libs got over there. The lives gone and changed it. I don't know. Okay. And we got lots of deals today.
Starting point is 00:35:37 I'm going to go through. Oh, okay. For a taco day. Sidemark question. And this is not me asking trying to get, you know, trying to bash Trump. I'm just asking, are we good on ground beef? Do we know where our ground beef is coming from? I do.
Starting point is 00:35:51 Remember, we didn't know where it was and then we bought a bunch of ground beef? I know. So if I'm celebrating Taco Day, am I good? Am I good or not good? Or if I just cook it, I'm good? I don't know. Wink. I haven't heard anything about the ground beef thing, so I don't know what I'm doing with tacos.
Starting point is 00:36:04 Yeah. But Taco Bell is going beyond National Taco Day in deeming today. Togo Tacco Day through a partnership with Duo Lingo, Duo Lingo. They got different duo spices. They have the Duo Habanero sauce today, limited edition, spicy sauce inspired by their green owl mascot. Yeah, I was going to say, is that not a T-Chiu language app?
Starting point is 00:36:35 Yeah, that's why they partner with it. Just a weird. They want you to party. They want you to enjoy the treat. Okay, that makes sense. They have a duo plushy as well. Oh, boy. You can score some deals.
Starting point is 00:36:49 DoorDash is offering deals to talk about. I'm anti-Dore-Dash, though. I'm very anti-Dore-Dash after some things I've learned, Cody. I don't like it. October 6th, Chewis, we don't have a Chewys around here, do we? No, I don't know what that is. The deal customers? No, C-H-U-Y-S.
Starting point is 00:37:07 Oh. All right, Moes. Customers can. purchase up to three tacos for $2 each at participating locations. Members can take advantage of the deal for even longer and purchase $2 tacos until October 11th. Okay. Do we have Del Taco? Is that a...
Starting point is 00:37:26 No, isn't that... Was that Buffalo? Was that what I'm thinking... Yeah. No, I was thinking a Mighty Taco. I don't think we have a Del Taco around here. I've never had Del Taco. Um, you want to win free tacos for a year?
Starting point is 00:37:39 We don't have this place because Margie. Margaritas is like a local thing here, but it is a chain. Yeah, there's a different one. This is not that. This is ours. Let me see if I could do this. Okay. From 3 to 6 p.m. today, if you live near a margaritas, again, not the one in Armory Square.
Starting point is 00:37:55 This is a chain. So if you're listening in Central New York, we don't have this. They're bringing back their Taco Giganta challenge. Participants will have to eat a taco stuffed with four different. meats like your mothers. Cheese, salsa, refritos, lettuce, and rice, topped with queso and sauces. Damn.
Starting point is 00:38:20 There is no time limit, but if you eat the whole taco, you get like a t-shirt and potentially tacos for a year. It weighs about two pounds. Could I do that? Yes. I could do that. Yes. I'm thinking about a Ponchito's burrito.
Starting point is 00:38:36 That's two pounds. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I bet. Yes. Yes. I could do that. Every time I see those memes, you're the name that I think of first.
Starting point is 00:38:47 Could so-and-so do this? If you had blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, you pick one person. Could you do this? And I'm like, yes, he could do it alone. And I'm just there to slowly snack. Yeah. If you complete this, you can get a free taco every week for the year. Eh.
Starting point is 00:39:02 And if you do the ultra-spicy challenge, which I don't want to do spicy. No. You get a T-shirt. Technically, I could get a free taco every week for a year, too. I have so many of those Taco Bell. Yes, you do. Coupons. Yes, you do.
Starting point is 00:39:14 Speedway's in 7-Elevens. We got those around here. What am I getting from there? Fans stopping at these locations today can take advantage of multiple deals. Buy one, get one, get one potato and egg tacos. Buy one, get one chicken fajita tacos. Excuse me? Chicken fajita tacos.
Starting point is 00:39:32 Yeah. From where? Speedway 7-Eleven. Okay. They're the same thing, I guess. All right. They're on that, like, roller thing, you think? No, those are your takitos.
Starting point is 00:39:42 These are tacos. So how do they... I don't know. I don't know. I was going to say that they got like a little kitchen like some of these other places? I don't know what they're doing. And then I got a bunch of places that we definitely don't have. Oh, yo, these, lacos, torches tacos.
Starting point is 00:39:57 No. So, take, hey, hey, get your tacos today. All right? Taco Tuesday. National Taco Day. Be listening to Khan. He's got Greta von Fleet tickets this week. I see he's doing a text word thing, so I'll be listening in the afternoons.
Starting point is 00:40:13 And people say, hey. Get your texts in and you can win some tickets, Cody. As we are in fall chilly morning, 32 in Utica, 37 in Syracuse right now. Is it still? It's getting colder. Well, now is that fun time where it's the coldest it'll be all day. That weird, only fact I know about whatever science or whatever that is. Right before the sun comes up or whatever?
Starting point is 00:40:35 It does something to the layer. No, it's that time of the year where it's like, The days are hot and then the nights are freezing. So you leave work, you put the AC on in your car. Yep. You get up for work, you got to put the heat on in your car. It's very weird. It is.
Starting point is 00:40:50 But it is fall. Although I noticed up by me it's already trying to do that thing. Was it windy everywhere else? Dude, it was the windiest ever yesterday. Okay, because up by me. Everything was whipping off my porch. I don't get a lot of wind up there. It's not very windy.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Until the leaves are gorty. And then all of a sudden, it's the windiest. It's ever been in the history of the world and rips them all off in a day or two. It happens every year. Yeah. It's very weird. But I was like, oh, you're trying now. Now you're little early.
Starting point is 00:41:22 What's the matter? The leads are too pretty. They were so pretty good enough in up it. But it'll get it in like another two or three weeks. It was whipping around yesterday. All right. I don't know if it was just up by me. Well, this is a kid up in Vancouver.
Starting point is 00:41:33 16-year-old kid and went for a hike. Uh-oh. There's a lot of things up there. Well, he asked AI to give him a good hike route. AI don't know no hike routes. You see, that's the thing, like just going like Google Maps, go like this, and then be like, oh, okay, I'm going to go there and just go walking around. A 16-year-old hiker had to be rescued from a cliff on Saturday after an AI-generated route
Starting point is 00:41:56 led him to a dangerous area. The teen departed Grouse Mountain at 8 a.m., followed a route that AI suggested through a gully, directed him onto a steep rock climbing terrain where he became trapped. What is it? Well, he doesn't... What?
Starting point is 00:42:15 No, that's a lake. Don't turn right. No, it's exactly that scene. No! Stop walking towards the cliff, bud. No, it's a cliff. But the computer says I gotta go this way. It says I have to climb this giant mountain.
Starting point is 00:42:28 But two helicopter technicians had to be lowered to the teen to then airlift him. That's going to cost you a lot of money. Uh-oh. Took about three hours to get the kid out of there.
Starting point is 00:42:42 The boy was very scared and feared for his life. Okay. Yes, I get it. You're 16, bud. You're 16, bud. I get it. I got a 15 and a 17-year-old. I know.
Starting point is 00:42:53 But also, A, why were you by yourself out there hiking around? B, why did you let the computer tell you where to go? Yeah, you can't just be like, oh, this is it. It said this, no other way. And once it starts to get dangerous, stop going in that direction. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:14 Again, you could see it coming, I would imagine. The search manager, Paul Markey, cautioned against relying on AI for navigation. Quote, it put him into a situation which was beyond his abilities so things could have gone sideways
Starting point is 00:43:29 pretty quick. Yep. I mean, not everything needs to be AI, guys. No. Just normal directions around a mountain. Use your normal... Find a map.
Starting point is 00:43:42 Follow the trails. Or just, again, once you realize you have come out of the gully and you see a cliff and all that and the terrain and you're going up a mountain or just whatever
Starting point is 00:43:56 and you see that the directions are telling you to go up that cliff. Yeah. Maybe don't. Yeah, don't do that. Maybe don't. Summoner says, I'm laughing. Kids can't think today. Adults can't think either. There's a lot of just stupid people that exist.
Starting point is 00:44:09 I don't think it's a kid's thing. I think there's plenty of dumb adults as well. No, because we all went from the whole, you're not going to have a computer in your pocket. To having all of the most computers. To people being like, I'm not going to look up from my handheld computer while I'm hiking up a cliff. We went from not going to have a computer in your pocket to having a computer more powerful than any computer I ever had growing up in my body. in my bogg it. Or if you're going to get lost, like me, just stay on level ground.
Starting point is 00:44:38 Yeah. And pray that the water don't run out or maybe you find someone's bird bath. You can drink. We're very blessed. We're very spoiled. Yep. Yeah. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:44:48 That's so good. Ladies and gentlemen, please meet Lauren from Pepinos. Good morning, Lauren. Good morning, guys. Lauren brought us down some breakfast pizzas because we're spoiled and little boys. And first of all, I didn't even know Pepinos was doing. breakfast pizza. They are. You're doing breakfast pizzas. We have been for a while now. Yeah, it's, you know, it's a hot commodity and a lot of people don't know about it. And when they get the
Starting point is 00:45:10 she has to try that slice, we kind of found a forever customer at that point. Yeah, and you kind of change the rules because you open at eight, but you were telling me that if somebody needs an order at 630, you'll accommodate. Absolutely. Absolutely. So what do they do? They get in touch with you and say, hey, tomorrow I need these pies and you make it happen? Yep. So I'm one of the caterers. We can do, I mean, I pushed out 20 breakfast pizzas one day for somebody. They needed the order by 745. Wow. Yeah, so our cooks, they come in as early as we need them. They work very diligently, and we get, you know, the best product out that we can as early as we can for anybody that needs it.
Starting point is 00:45:42 And right now, if you're over by Grant, what's your exact address? I have it right in front of me right here. How about? Oh, I thought I had it quick. I don't know. No, the Internet's not working. I don't know. Now the Internet's going wicked slow.
Starting point is 00:45:53 I'm right on the website. Pavinos, yeah, go ahead and look it out because I want people to know they can stop in. Stupid Internet. Has you're over. We are at 1849 Grant Boulevard. Yes, and they're open right now at 8 a.m. And you can stop in and get slices, breakfast slices. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:11 Tell me what you brought us today because I never thought about this combo, Lauren. So I brought you guys a gourmet breakfast pizza. Our gourmet breakfast pizza is on our aged crust, which we ferment, and it's actually more digestible at that point. It's one of our secrets to the way we make our crust. And we pour our egg directly on it and bake it rather than scrambling it prior. So it's baked right into the crust. So it gives it that really nice flavor so the eggs aren't dry.
Starting point is 00:46:33 But this one is our gourmet and it has the egg, cheese, sausage, bacon, and a maple syrup drizzle over the top. Wow, it's the maple syrup. You don't even think about putting maple syrup on breakfast pizza. It just smells so good. I was showing everybody in our audience here on Twitch and the show.com. It's a great looking pie. Yes. It smells.
Starting point is 00:46:53 You can't smell the maple if we're just watching us, but it smells like maple. It smells like a maple candle in here. It does. I love it. Yes, it does. What's the other pie? So the other one I customized for you guys. It's got tomatoes, onion, and spinach on it.
Starting point is 00:47:06 And if you want to add a protein, if you want to add ham, if you want to add bacon, sausages, you can do chicken pepperoni. It doesn't matter whatever you're feeling this early in the morning. We can accommodate it. What I do love is that Pepinos is going. I didn't even know there was like a world championship of pizza. And how do I get there? Yeah, can I be a judge?
Starting point is 00:47:24 So what is this? Do you go to like the world pizza conference or something? Yeah. So John actually go, he went to Vegas. and this year they're doing it in Ohio. So he's actually leaving this weekend to go. And I don't know what the special pie is, but hopefully it'll be on that line for you guys to grab a slice soon.
Starting point is 00:47:42 But the PPP is one of the ones they won in Vegas. What is that? So that one is a cupping char pepperoni, and it's got like a pommodoro sauce on it and some parmesan. It's delicious. It's absolutely delicious. I mean, I guess I'm glad that you're here, Lauren, because I just don't think, I mean, I know Pinos has pizza,
Starting point is 00:47:58 but I've never thought of all these, like, crazy pies you're coming up with. Yeah, absolutely. A lot of people just think pizza. They're like, oh, cheese, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom. No, we have it all. No, I'm like, I'm leading your Sicilian is thick. It's on an airy crust. All these, you got the Detroit style over there?
Starting point is 00:48:13 Delicious. Baked in a blue steel pan, does that make the difference for Detroit style pizza? What is a Detroit style pizza? So it's a thicker crust. It's an airier and fluffier crust, too. So it's almost like a tomato pie, if you, if you will. So, I mean, but it's got those special toppings on it. The cheese, the pepper.
Starting point is 00:48:30 And not just a tomato base. And you do gluten-free as well. We do. We also do gluten-free to accommodate anybody with any dietary issues. Oh, my goodness. You can substitute vodka sauce? Oh, yeah. We have a vodka vortex one.
Starting point is 00:48:44 It's got vodka sauce and a pesto drizzle. Guys. And a first place, calzone? Yeah, that was, yeah. Calzone, stromboli. I like a calzone. Tell me about your wings, though. How your wings doing over there.
Starting point is 00:48:55 We didn't even talk about wings. What kind of wings you got? Oh, big wing. So we have an everything sauce. I don't even know what goes into it. It's just delicious, everything. You know, so it's so good. That one's a fan favorite for sure.
Starting point is 00:49:06 But we do char-grilled wings as well. We do the regular deep fried wings, and they are delicious. You're doing subs. You're doing entrees. Guys, we've been sleeping on Pepinos. What are we doing? They got everything over there, Grand Boulevard. They're open right now, open at 8 a.m. every day.
Starting point is 00:49:21 Yep. And we close. We close at 11. 11. Never. And you can just go get a slice right now or order a hat or cater and Lorna will bring it. right now and then go get it on the way. Guys, get over there and see Papinos.
Starting point is 00:49:34 Anything else you want to plug? No, I think that's about, I mean, come see us. Come see us on Grant, guys. We're ready. Go see Papinos. Don't sleep on Papinos. Thank you for stopping by this. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 00:49:43 Of course, guys, enjoy. Goat. Yeah, let that. Oh, they're done. Just to be full transparency. I added that song because I wanted to eat another piece of breakfast pizza. To be completely honest and transparent with you guys. Now that I've tried it, which probably would have helped during the segment,
Starting point is 00:50:00 but a, uh, I was afraid it's too hot. Yeah. I've never had breakfast pizza like these before. The eggs cooking into the crust thing peaked my interest. Yeah. And I, I see what Lauren met by that. It makes a huge difference in that frittata one, top notch. And I feel like, I feel like I was giving peppinos a bad shake.
Starting point is 00:50:20 Because when you'd get a peppino's, you would just get like a pepperoni pizza. Like if it came to work or something. That's, yeah. You'd get like a pepperoni and a cheese. And I was like, Oh, yeah, I guess Pupino just does... Pizza and wings. Or a pizza wings plate.
Starting point is 00:50:33 Nothing special. They are something special, and I had no idea. I feel like I do that with a lot of places. I didn't give them a fair shake. Nope. And that was incredible. Thank you, Lauren, stopping by. It used to be...
Starting point is 00:50:43 I'd get exactly what you just said, because they were right around the corner. Right down here, yeah. And especially when I worked... Yeah. Right around the other corner. Yeah. It was so easy to just be like, there's a slice and a... Let me get...
Starting point is 00:50:57 Order of wings. I don't even think I even glanced at that. No, I was just so used to, for some reason, a lot of the places, like the radio stations I've worked at would get peppinoes for lunch and it would be pepperoni cheese and maybe some ZD or maybe like never wings that I can think of. And I just, I, being open early like that, because a lot of places, and, you know, they can get a breakfast pizza, but they open at 1130. Yeah, no. Or something. No, I want. They're open now?
Starting point is 00:51:22 I can go over there and Michael says they got great subs. Wild. Pudgy says they got great pumpkin canoles. I forgot because the internet was being whatever over here. I started to get grumpy. But the desserts, there's a, I already remember, I don't even have to look for it still not loading. They had a set of a Nutella brownie with Nutella running right,
Starting point is 00:51:39 said right straight through the middle of the brownie. Stacey on the text line says, I got catering two days in a row from Lauren. She's the best. I got a brownie too. Get a brownie. All right. Do it.
Starting point is 00:51:47 I will. I will, Stacy. Well, congratulations. To the barethroated bellbird. I told you. Did never call me that on air. I said in confidence. It trusted you.
Starting point is 00:52:03 It's the world's loudest animal. I'm coming in at 122 decibels. Matching the volume of jackhammers and chainsaws. The St. Stadium yesterday in that video game we were playing, their decibel level got up to 126. Yeah. This bird is almost as loud as that. Do you have it?
Starting point is 00:52:20 I do. Yeah, yeah. I don't know if you can tell the loudness of it. Play it mad loud. But you'll hear like it, you'll hear it's so loud. It's reverberating off things around it. This is the band. A air throated bellbird.
Starting point is 00:52:32 Oh, yeah. You can tell the... Give it a second. The echo it does. Because it's like a siren. Yeah. Listen to that bird. Let's know it bounce off of everything around it.
Starting point is 00:52:52 Oh my God. That's crazy. Imagine that outside of your window, 4.30 in the morning. I'm sure it is. My aviary of an apartment complex. They can eat. even exceed the sound of elephants, lions, wolves, and bison.
Starting point is 00:53:09 I don't know they were the loud animals. I'm not that loud, but when I need to get things done, I do. I'm Joe Bison. They recorded 123 different bird species in an effort to find, essentially the loudest animal. That's it. Also, the red-legged Ceramia, a similar bird, can get as loud, but I don't have any audio of that.
Starting point is 00:53:32 I don't know. The giant woodpecker that, oh, I have a video I can show you. that lives in the tree on the property is pretty damn loud. Those things are a little ridiculous. It has a long trachea and vocal organs called syrinx. Wider beaks and large throats allow them to generate such a loud volume. Goodness. Where are they around?
Starting point is 00:53:58 I can look where they're from. I've never seen one. I've never even heard of that bird before. Oh, Brazil. Oh, man. Brazil. Brazil. Congratulations.
Starting point is 00:54:06 I know they're listening. A lot of barethroated bellbirds. Congratulations. The birds are Brazil. The birds and Brazilians and birds. Tell you what, we are in Halloween season. Yeah. And this is going to sound like it's a to be commercial,
Starting point is 00:54:18 but it's just to let you guys know where you can watch some free movies. Oh, okay. As they put together a list of some of the places you can find horror movies to watch this month. I watched Ghostbusters yesterday. Which one? First one. Like the original? The original.
Starting point is 00:54:33 Which? Oh, no. Is it the same? second one. I can't remember which one, but the second one and the one with the women, they're taking off of Netflix. Because, of course, it might even be the first Ghostbusters. Why? Who knows? I don't know what channel is, but they're doing the 31 days of Halloween on free form, maybe. Yeah, I think that's usually it. And I'll just put that on during the day as a background channel. They're always running stuff. And they were playing Ghostbusters yesterday. So,
Starting point is 00:55:00 yep. Do I have Toby? Do I have Tooby? How do I get Tube? I think it's one of those you just have to download the app for free. But it's free? Yeah. All right. Some of the movies you can get on Tooby. Sleepy Hollow's on Tooby. Good.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Underrated. Is that Johnny Depp? Yep. Johnny DeW. It's really not bad. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the original one, 1974? I don't know if I've seen that or one of the remakes from later on. The remake was good, too.
Starting point is 00:55:24 Not recent remake, but like 20 years ago remake. Our oldest favorite, I think it's their favorite horror movies is Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Yeah. So we've seen all the iterations of that. And we got the video game for a minute that didn't really play. And the creepiest best ones are the ones like, Jason doesn't really scare me. Freddie Kruger doesn't really scare me.
Starting point is 00:55:45 They're not real. Yeah. That was real. Yeah, it was based on a guy. That happened. Yeah. He really took your face and put it on him's face. And it was like, that's my face.
Starting point is 00:55:54 Yes, he did. Yeah, Everjow says, Tobey is my favorite way to watch movies with commercials, but it's free. Oh, God. I love a commercial. I love that. Gives he a second to take a movie. break. We don't got to rush through this. We can make a
Starting point is 00:56:08 one hour movie, two and a half hours. Three hours. Thank you. Adams family, one and two. Okay. Both on Tooby. They do what they want to do. Say what they want to say. Live how they want to live. Play how they want to play. Dance how they want to dance. Kick and they slap a friend. The Adam's Family. The mummy is on there. Is that? Brendan Fraser. The mommy, it's a horror movie? That's a Halloween movie? It's like, what would it be called? Like, not horror action.
Starting point is 00:56:35 Yeah, thriller. Thriller? Thriller. I don't think you've ever seen the mummy. You ever. That's actually really good. Is it? It is really, really good.
Starting point is 00:56:43 It's a very good movie. Hellraiser, 1987, that's on Tubi. I don't think you've ever seen that because the problem I have with these movies, just call that movie Pinhead. Oh, you don't like when they do that? Because the guy's not Hellraiser. You'd want Candyman to be B-Mouth? Be B-B-Mouth.
Starting point is 00:57:01 B, you know what I mean? He's not wrong. At least Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I know exactly what I'm getting. You know, where it's taking place, what the weapon's going to be, and it's going to be a bloodshed. Be like, oh, look, I like Hellraiser. Look at him. He's scary.
Starting point is 00:57:14 His name's not Halraiser. Then why call him that? What was teeth from 2007? Was that the vagina with the teeth in it? Was that teeth? I think so. When they did the vagina with the teeth? I don't think we need that movie.
Starting point is 00:57:26 A little pillow pants. Son of Dracula in 1943. If you want to go way back? Mama Mac likes all those old. Bobby Zombie, Halloween 2. They used to watch all those old ones. Your mom likes the old ones. And my brother, they used to watch all those like
Starting point is 00:57:39 the creature from the Black Lagoon. Yeah. It was, I don't know, for me. Your mom texting me yesterday. I'm like one of her children at this point. Oh, yeah. She said that she also did not like obsession. The movie obsession.
Starting point is 00:57:51 Oh, I could have told her she wasn't going to probably like that. She says, I guess I'm in the minority, but I did not like obsession. He was a dork and I just felt sorry for her. Yeah. And that, I mean, I do feel, I feel sorry for her because he ruins her life. He is a dork. I didn't, I didn't see it.
Starting point is 00:58:11 But there's sometimes I can see a preview. The middle part is the only good part. And be like, no, you're not going to like that. And then she said, I think that Chris should appreciate me more now. And I said, well, he too will someday meet the tragic end of the Black Widow. Doesn't matter. Yeah. His days are numbered.
Starting point is 00:58:23 It's on the calendar somewhere. Like curse of Frankenstein, Deb would watch, 1957. Yep. Why does she like the old ones? Wow. That's probably what they grew up with. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And the black and white televisions.
Starting point is 00:58:36 Back in the turn of the century. The olden times. The olden times. Yep. That's a good amount of free stuff. Although, you know what? I pick on your mom, but literally both of my children have asked if we had color TV. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:49 Like, they've been like, did your show, were they in color or black and white? And we're like, we're not. We had color. There were a very few shows that were black and white. Yep, we were at the very tail end, but we had colored TV. We did have color TV in the 1980s in the 80s. I do remember, because I remember throwing it out, there was an old black and white that I remember that my dad had
Starting point is 00:59:15 that he said that was bounced around or whatever, but it was a black and white. It didn't work. Jojo says I love the old black and white movies. The Body Statress from 1945, I will say, Twilight Zone is one of my favorite TV show. and I like that it's in black and white. I don't want it in color.
Starting point is 00:59:32 When Jordan Peel tried to do it, I don't want the rehash. I like the old one. That spider noir thing with Dick this Cage, you can pick before you watch it. That's pretty smart. It's shot. In color.
Starting point is 00:59:45 Like how you're supposed to watch it with the black and white. That's interesting. Kind of old-timey look to it. I just, I obviously am like, Spent all this money for this TV. We're putting it in color, Nick Cage. No, because you know what they can do? They can hide it.
Starting point is 01:00:00 a lot of the effects with black and white. Like with a color HD movie, you got to really, like Twilight Zone, the makeup doesn't need to be that great. No, you can just. Don't need to be that great. Yep, you're good. Just a couple colors.
Starting point is 01:00:11 It's all we got. Yeah. What are your favorite horror movies? What are you guys watching? We listen to Khan in the afternoons. Because he's got your tickets. To regret him on fleets all week long, baby. How?
Starting point is 01:00:23 How? Shia! So I wonder how this is going to shake out what you guys are going to think. I see it as an honest mistake, but some people are dragging this guy. As a dude was giving his vows during his wedding, he's an Australia. Oh, rah.
Starting point is 01:00:42 And when he went to say his soon-to-be wife's name, he accidentally said her sister's name. You can't do that. That's not the right lady. Different late, definitely lady. And that was my initial reaction. Yeah. But then I love it.
Starting point is 01:01:00 Is she's standing right next to her? Well, her name, his, so the bride to be is named Emma. Yeah. Her sister's name is Emily. I'll play it. I'll play it. You tell me. Take thee.
Starting point is 01:01:14 Take thee. Emily, grace, confu. Emma. Emma grows comfrey. And then they move on. Is that the, was that the wife that goes, Emma? Emma. Take thee.
Starting point is 01:01:28 Your best friend. Emily, Grace, Pumfoo. Emma. Emma, gross Pumfrey. Oh, boy. I don't know. I cut him some slack because I feel like those are close names. But it was just said to you.
Starting point is 01:01:41 Yeah, and also, that's going to be a later on thing. A discussion later? No, just she's going to now have that. Like that. Remember that time you called me my sister's name? Yep, like he said, Emily, she grabbed that and went back pocket that for later for when needed, for when remember you call. me my sister's name at the altar of our marriage vows. Jojo's got a good point.
Starting point is 01:02:05 Who the F names their kids, Emma and Emily? All parents. Yeah. All you weirdos have to make all of us the same close names. Yeah, I don't know why. You guys do that and you can't figure out how to separate us. But then you still call them the switch. So I think it's just a parent thing.
Starting point is 01:02:23 We were Josh Joey Jetta. Exactly. You guys are nuts, Cody and Casey. Cody Casey. But she still calls me, Casey, and Cody, or Casey Cody. Damn it. And Casey's in Canada. Cody's in here.
Starting point is 01:02:39 No, Tam Tam was always, I've told you a million times. Joe, Josh. No, Jen? No. That one. She never got it. She never got it. Yep.
Starting point is 01:02:49 Even with my kids. Very different names. No. It's just how it works. I think it's just a parent thing. Still get them wrong. Still get them wrong. Cade and Jaden.
Starting point is 01:02:58 Jalen, Brayland, Brayland, Jailen, Brayland. Amy says, my mom will go through all of our names. Yeah, he just do. No. Too many names. You, that one, come here. It would just be like, nope, that's not me. Emma notes that in this situation, they moved on pretty quickly.
Starting point is 01:03:13 Emma. Even at the time. Emma. She notes the wedding happened actually a few years ago. The clip is just going viral. She's also defending the guy saying that the nerves were intense at the time, and if she would have held it against them, she would have missed that on the best day ever.
Starting point is 01:03:30 That's a very mature thought. Plus, I was remembering the time I bagged your sister. Mm-hmm. Or I reminded myself when I got your sister. So I've done both Emily and Emma with my winking. Uncle Stinky says one time my dad called me Dan Bill Jim Bruce. Bruce was our dog. Okay.
Starting point is 01:03:48 Oh, yeah. I'm... Fred, I don't remember the situation, but I would bet most of every monies that I has that my mom is called either my sister or my brother or myself my dog's name. Somebody. Somebody else's name. Yeah. Somebody else's name.
Starting point is 01:04:07 Yeah. It's tough. You got parent brain and I'm experiencing it. Your brain just deteriorates over time. That's it. You don't know what's going on most of the day. You're just hoping to get through it. Just hope to wake up.
Starting point is 01:04:20 Where is it? Where do you got to go? What are we doing? I'll drop you. Okay. You got a ride? Okay. And you need money?
Starting point is 01:04:26 All right. Did I eat today? Did you eat? Did this one eat? Did the other one eat? You ate. Did you eat? You had a cheese sandwich.
Starting point is 01:04:34 You don't want a cheese sandwich. You want chicken fries. Do you want chicken fries? You're not one of my kids. Where'd you come from? Are you a friend? Before we get into your 90s and I, in a little gaming stream,
Starting point is 01:04:47 we got some arrests in the New Hampshire cooking oil fats. I didn't do it. I didn't do it. Why are we still doing this? Because of the biodiesel thing? Yeah. That's why people are stealing it? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:56 Three dudes in New Hampshire were arrested for going around and stealing cooking oil from restaurants in the area. Bet they weren't from New Hampshire. Bet they came from the city. And then you convert it to biodiesels? Yep. That's where all the douchebags that are stealing it from our fine restaurants and places around here are coming from. Dumb question. And this doesn't absolve these gentlemen of their crimes.
Starting point is 01:05:18 But as a restaurant owner, wouldn't I just be thankful that it's gone? No, because they all do it. They all have people that. Oh, okay. I mean, some instances, I want to. They got contracts. I would imagine, but a lot of them have people that do it for them or they're doing that themselves to sell it off because of how you can turn it into that stuff.
Starting point is 01:05:35 Here's some of the owners discussing this. The guy that usually changes my grease strap came in and asked me, did you change companies? I said, no, why? Your drums are empty. I pulled my cameras up. And lo and behold, the day prior, I had people that came onto my property about an hour or two before business hours and they drained my containers. I had multiple businesses reach out to me and say, hey,
Starting point is 01:05:56 Our business got hit a couple of weeks ago, even though it's just fry oil. This pays for my grease trap to get clean. This is a lot. Interesting. It just goes to show you there's crimes I'm not even aware of out there. And it just shows that they act like they don't know what they're doing or whatever. It's, okay, then why were you there? Why couldn't you just go under business hours?
Starting point is 01:06:16 Say, hey, free, we'll take your oil. What do you mean? I don't know what you're saying? They went in, all of these people get their oil taken by people that go there two hours before there. Or at nighttime. So the people doing it know they're doing something wrong or else they would just go in like normal people. Yeah, you're right.
Starting point is 01:06:33 Say, hey, I'll take your oil for you or whatever. Nope, they all rent trucks from somewhere downstate and then drive them up here, rip people off, drive them back down, flip the oil, dump the truck off to wherever they're supposed to. And they can sell it for a profit? Yeah. There's just so many crimes I don't know of. Again, it's like the underpants and home, step one, the step two,
Starting point is 01:06:54 no idea, step three. profit. But that's like you heard her say, it pays for her grease strap to be clean. So that person that does it probably might even pay her. Because they benefit. Yeah. I'll give you a hundred bucks. People make money using stealing use cooking oil because the global push for renewable energy has turned restaurant waste into liquid gold. Yeah. Driven by energy incentives. People steal it overnight. Once stolen, the oil is transported across state lines to clandestine warehouses or rogue recycling depots,
Starting point is 01:07:27 it is there where illicit brokers will purchase the grease, paying cash with no questions asked. Then they launder it somehow to obscure its illegal origins. Brokers blend the stolen grease, the legitimate grease. It's how you're going to know. It's kind of like scrapyards. They'll just be like, I'll give you money for that catalytic converter.
Starting point is 01:07:47 Yep. Yep. And then the laundered oil is sold to commercial refineries for about $3 per gallon. Wow. And you got to think those just at the place that I'm thinking of my buddy's pizza place, their tank is
Starting point is 01:08:03 from me to you wide. Huge. You know, this fall out. Yeah. And goes up to like my neck. That's, I mean, that's crazy.
Starting point is 01:08:13 Yeah, it's nuts. It's nuts. And again, they know they're doing something wrong because they get there in the middle of the night or when they're closed. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:21 Our buddy who works at the Midway gets paid for their used oil. They'll get between 80 cents on $1.25 per gallon. Yeah. And you're like saying it's a ton of, it's a lot of oil. Interesting. So then they just learn. That seems to be a thing lately where people are getting busted for that. So if you go to,
Starting point is 01:08:36 it's stealing. Don't steal. It's not yours. And it's also that I think a lot of people just to get away with it because it's kind of like what you said. There are a bunch of places that are just like, oh, they cleaned it out for me, whatever. Yeah, my guy must have came overnight.
Starting point is 01:08:51 I didn't know. Or they're not selling it anyway, so they're like, I don't care if someone takes it. And they don't ever report it. Because that is also what was happening to my buddy's place. The place next door was a Chinese food place. And they were just like, we don't care, whatever. Who cares? As long as it's like, no, report it.
Starting point is 01:09:05 Yeah. Because it's a crime. Interesting. I can't even imagine how many places are like, well, whatever. We will jump into your 90s at 9 with a little garbage. And then Coco and I. Play a little golf for your gaming stream on a sunny fall Tuesday. Oh, I hit it into the water already.
Starting point is 01:09:20 Quicks.TV slash the show or head to the show.com for all of our links. I'm only happy when it's...
