Starting point is 00:00:00 We interrupt this program. Previously, critics had brailed against the duo as crude, dumb, ugly, thoughtless, sexist, self-destructive, and foolish. They are not part of the legitimate business world. What they do is they celebrate underachievement. And all candor, I would tell you it's outrageous, Phil. And if I could find some way constitutionally to do away with it, I would. Who's out there? Shall I have.
Starting point is 00:00:34 Oh, all right. I mean, she may want to. Go on in there. Yep. Go on in there. Yeah. Yo, you don't know. Ahoy, ho.
Starting point is 00:00:45 You beautiful dumb-dums, happy Tuesday. Nice. How's it going? How's everyone's Monday? Back to work. Yes. Good? Not bad.
Starting point is 00:00:57 Not bad. Butter sculpture reveal today. Oh, is it? Nice. Nice. I'm never, I'm, every year I'm shocked by the amount of people that like to be surprised. I didn't know that was a thing. Even I do, and I don't even care.
Starting point is 00:01:11 But for some reason, I like the... I can't understand that. I can't understand that. I've never been excited about what they reveal. Under the comments of all the stories that are like butter sculpture revealed today. It's like I like to be surprised. Oh, they don't...
Starting point is 00:01:28 Oh, it's a fair. No, they don't want to see on TV. I like this. Like the TV has to put on spoiler alerts. There's only been... Because there's human beings who want to see with their eyes at the fair the first time. There's been a couple years I got to experience that.
Starting point is 00:01:42 See, Micah, I don't like to know until I get there. There's been a couple years. I don't know what, I don't know what that, I guess. It's fun. That and I, I know, butter sculptor people. Right. I like the sand sculpture more. I do too.
Starting point is 00:01:58 I do too. The only thing I don't like about the sand sculpture is that it takes the whole goddamn fair. Is that they're doing it like in a week from now. You're like, guys. we're already, we only have four days left. Yeah, the butter sculpture. Ooh, sister already knows the butter sculptor!
Starting point is 00:02:14 Sneaky Pete. Oh my God. She sneaky peated. Um, yeah, the butter sculpture, you'll get day one. The sand sculpture, you get day 12. Yeah. Because you're like, you're like, oh, let's go to the center of progress. Or wherever they do it now.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Do they do it in center progress? Oh, the sand. Oh, the sand, yeah. And then there was that. And you're like, like, you said, I go on Thursday and I'm like, oh. It's a pile of sand, I guess. And then you're, you know. There was that one, like, year or two when laser pointers were huge,
Starting point is 00:02:41 where those poor bastards couldn't get a damn thing done. Oh, why? People were pointing lasers. Oh, you don't remember that? Yeah, it was just, it was just endless laser pointers at them. Stop, guys, guys. Guys, can you please stop shining? Guys?
Starting point is 00:02:53 Can you please stop shining laser pointers? Yep. At the sand sculptors. Please. They're using sand. Or you'd get there and you'd see, like, Justin Bieber's face kind of crumbled and apart. Yeah, when it falls apart, I get sad, too, because they work so hard on that. Yeah. I mean, it works so hard with a breeder.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Our butter sculpture was the best ever. What's Nicholas saying about Iowa does a butter sculpture? It's always just a cow, lame-ass cow, yeah. Look at this. They got their, they're ish together this year. Wow, they started it early. All right. Sister, well, and I apologize for the slander.
Starting point is 00:03:32 All right, well, see what I can do with a laser pointer. I got ready to roll. Because I always wondered what that life was like. To be the sand sculptor. Like, clearly you have a talent. You have a sculpting talent. Yeah. And you've been hired by the Great New York State Fair
Starting point is 00:03:43 to spend 13 days in a building doing sand sculpting. Oh. And then I would watch those shows on like travel or whatever where they would follow the sand sculptor people around and there's competitions and there's showcases and all that stuff. It looks fun. Yeah. I honestly, if I was in a situation where say I was at like a, what's a good spot for? Like a Green Lakes.
Starting point is 00:04:07 Sylvan Beach, something like that. I'd make a sand castle. Yeah. Nothing better than digging a moat. I don't dig a moat. I'm not a sand castle guy. I'm a sand pit guy. Like dig a big pit.
Starting point is 00:04:18 But then I mean, I'm maybe a couple, it depends on what I have. If there's a random bucket around somewhere, maybe there's a couple towers or such. You know what I don't like, I don't like beaches, as you know. They gross me out. They just look like giant litter boxes.
Starting point is 00:04:33 I pooping them. I know. And, but I do like, I do, hold on, I think that's my friend, hold on. Let's see if that's my friend. My friend is on TV. No, I, I, I don't even mean, instead of making a whole contraption 30 yards up the beach,
Starting point is 00:04:52 why not just take like a little hole? The water comes rushing out too and put your feet right there. When we were in Oceanside, the only beach I've ever liked, I like to just sit at the edge of the waves. Okay. And have the water hit me. Are you a chair where your butt almost hits the ground guy? I'm a chair where my butt's in the water.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Okay. Well, that's what I was going to say. And then you move your chair like a foot into the water. Yeah, but then my family laughs at me because a rogue wave will happen and it wipes me out. It happens. And they should laugh at me. I'm a miserable prick. But I did the same.
Starting point is 00:05:30 That's a move I do up in Verona. What? You take a wave over me. You take a chair out there. Mm-hmm. Yep. No, the only problem is that the chair I have isn't a, like, beach chair for that. I like the low riders.
Starting point is 00:05:43 It starts to, like, I'll be sitting in it, right? And then it just slowly sinks in. Sinks into the sand. Yeah, and he's gone. And then it's just. Because once I couldn't get it out, I was like, what the hell do I do? Dude, you ever watched those videos. You ever watch those videos of stupid kids getting stuck in the sand and they got a call for help?
Starting point is 00:06:02 Yes. It's scary as hell. Like, it is literally. quicksand. Yep. It's packed you in like a concrete. Yeah, you gotta be careful of that. Anyway,
Starting point is 00:06:10 it is relaxing. We are here live. A butter sculpture gets revealed today. Turns out sand sculpture coming along real well. No. Also at a center. The show. Dot FM for all of our links and locations.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Live streams and podcasts right there at the show. Dot FM. So I have been a long time proponent of legal prostitution. It's the world's oldest profession. Yeah. If it's consensual. Who cares? Why can't a puck public people just squish parts together?
Starting point is 00:06:38 Why does it matter? Now, I recognize that there's a lot of trafficking that happens in that industry. Yes. I'm saying, let's regulate it. Let's keep it above board. Yeah. And let's save people like Jet York from getting arrested. Oh, I saw that.
Starting point is 00:06:52 Trying to get a little sex in an Ohio trailer park. Yeah, that's a little weird. For how many places you can just go and easily get stuff? Maybe he thought he was doing that. Here's what's interesting about this. And let me get people caught up. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. I didn't know who Jed York was before I read this story yesterday.
Starting point is 00:07:16 He owns one of the owners or the owner of the 49ers? The 9ers. I'm not real sure. One of the. His family owns them. Either way, he's an owner. His family is worth $8.5 billion with a beat. A.5 billion dollars.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Yep. Did you see how much he was trying to play for sex? No. So he was getting a prostitute. Yeah. And you'd think somebody was worth $8.5 billion getting a high-end escort. Yeah. Like remember those back in the day Manhattan escorts?
Starting point is 00:07:45 They're all still available. Who wasn't Ashley Dupree? Oh, yeah. In Vegas, I'm sure in New York City, but they're all still available. So how much do you think this billionaire was going to pay for sex? Oh, man. Now that you're saying it in this manner. $500.
Starting point is 00:08:00 $140. Bro. $140. $3. They're in an Ohio trailer park. That's not even a rate for, for things in this area. Like that I have heard. Massages, quote unquote.
Starting point is 00:08:17 Yeah. What are the rates for that? But just like, remember I, we saw that that board on Instagram of they were just straight up advertising like, remember it was like, God about that. It was like, um, bedroom experience. Yeah. What was that? an hour, $300.
Starting point is 00:08:33 Oh, was it that girl a file? I can't remember. I think it was just, I think it might have just been the place itself. Badroom experience. Yeah, and that was $300 for either half an hour or an hour. Yeah. And I've had friends be offered that say it's like at least a hundred for even hand stuff.
Starting point is 00:08:53 So, geez. I don't know how this gentleman got where he did. I don't know how he was at. The Columbia County. That's what I mean. Like, bro, you don't have any connections where this is, and again, it's not better, but maybe a little more. Oh my God, you can easily get escorts that will not say a word. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:15 And this pisses me off because it was an undercover cop. You know, it's like he was, I'm kind of sat up here, guys. Which sounds like were there some dirty things going on with that one? And now I'm glad that that one got busted if they were doing dirty things, which again, there's some that aren't so shady. Go there. But he's probably got to go where it's the most low profile because he's a billionaire. Yeah, my buddy on the text line says you can't even get into Paradise Found for $140. You're spending more than $140 at a strip club.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Yeah. So here's the story, all right? $8.5 billion, Jed York was arrested on Sunday for trying to pay $140 for sex in an Ohio trailer park. Jed York is one of the owners of the San Francisco 49ers. He responded to an advertisement on Sunday. Oh, that's what, dude, an Ohio advertisement? This had to be his first time. Because they were in, were they in Cleveland?
Starting point is 00:10:08 Was it Niners Browns? Was that the game? I don't know. Does everybody know why he would have been there? It was Bills. It was Bills Browns. So who, yeah, who know? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:10:17 He responded to an advertisement and, quote, arranged to have sexual activity with a female in exchange for $140. Now, I'm a proponent of that. If everything is consensual, and this woman is there on her, Own free will and wants to give up a vagina for $140. And this gentleman would like to give exchange for goods and they go off and no one, everyone's safe and protected and no children are around. Go for it. It's in the Bible, bud. You can do whatever you want to do.
Starting point is 00:10:44 Yeah, I don't care. However, when York was on his way to the meeting, who he thought was a sex worker in East Palestine, East Palestine, Ohio. I don't know what a little bit of a town is. Weird name, Tom. The agent from the human trafficking task force at Ocustrator to sting operation. Uh-oh. So do they suspect it? Maybe.
Starting point is 00:11:05 I don't know. And if you suspect it, then that's no good. I don't even want there to be a whiff of anything shady going on if I'm taking my wiener out. So he had in his possession his cellular device, which was used to arrange the act. The trailer park, Wheat Hill, mobile home park, claimed that he was a restaurant. arrested there. Documents show that York was booked into the county jail on two separate charges, one of engaging in prostitution and one of count of possessing criminal tools.
Starting point is 00:11:38 I guess because his phone was used to get prostitutes, and that's now a criminal tool. Lame. He was released on $5,000 bond, pled no contest. He was in prison for an hour. They said that's time served. Yeah. Oh, okay. They're like, you're good.
Starting point is 00:11:53 Get out of here. Like, but did they? He was sentenced to one day in jail, had to pay $1,150 in fines. And the 49ers are like, this is a legal manner. We've settled out no questions. Did they stop any human trafficking? I don't know. Sounds like they caught a billionaire trying to have sex in a trailer park.
Starting point is 00:12:11 Yeah, nothing else. And the reason I think it was his first time, it's because he responded to an ad. Yeah. The guy probably caught a buzz, and he's either scroll, like he's, I don't know why he'd be in a while. I don't know why anybody'd be in a while. But he's in Ohio and he sees like a back page or a paper or a Craigslist thing or whatever.
Starting point is 00:12:31 And he goes, you know what? I'm a little horny. Maybe I'll pay $140 for this. And he gets himself into a predicament. That's just crazy. With how, I don't know. It was at 9 a.m. Betty says.
Starting point is 00:12:43 An Ohio trailer park just does not seem to be the spot I would be going. No. And she's right. Ohio is for lovers. She's right. No matter the time. So 9 a.m. You're probably up all night.
Starting point is 00:12:59 Does this guy have like a substance thing going on? I don't know. I have no idea. But again, billionaire. Billionaire, dude. Billionaire, so who knows? You could have the most secretive prostitute in all of the land. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Manhattan level top. Like, okay, maybe not Manhattan. Maybe you Cleveland level. I don't know. Top here. Something that's not responding to an ad that takes you to an Ohio trailer. The second, the woman and the, the quote, woman on your tax is, meet me at this mobile home. You go, I'm out of here.
Starting point is 00:13:31 You're like, no. I'm bad. No. You meet me at this five-star hotel where I'm currently staying. Yeah, how about I'm a billionaire? You come to me. You come to my billionaire's hotel. For 140 bucks, you get what you pay for, Coco.
Starting point is 00:13:44 That's true. Today's show brought to you by $140 prostitutes. Okay. Stop by your local trailer park. Today. Jet York. You got Robert Kraft getting handos in Florida. I know.
Starting point is 00:13:59 All these owners. It's just billionaires are weird. You got to be weird to become a billionaire, so you're going to be into weird stuff. Not that I think handos and prostitution is weird. I just think that doing it the way these dummies do it. They all go about everything. Yeah, the way they, I mean, you know, come on. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Try harder, guys. Oh, man. A Brazilian woman, and I feel like I'm living a lot of deja vu right now. Because we just made a strut. joke and then we played the struts and I forgot that I knew like this was this is the struts like I feel like we've talked about the stress recently and I feel like this story was a Netflix doc that we just watched like a year ago what a Brazilian woman in her late 30s has been convicted of fraud after posing as a 12 year old foster child hmm I know there's
Starting point is 00:14:54 been stories of this because there was that documentary about the little tiny woman that pretended to be a child? It was that weird show on like Fax that had the guy from the league in it, where she came from Russia. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, so that's different than this. Yeah. Yeah, was it Natalie or something?
Starting point is 00:15:13 My family had watched it. Regardless, this is another story then. But these cases are peculiar. Amanda Marie Susa de Olivier was found, that's a lot of words, was found guilty on Thursday, of fraud and using a false. identity. She allegedly put on a high-pitched voice
Starting point is 00:15:33 to appear younger and told the foster family she was autistic. Her family paid for housing, food, and medication throughout. How long? 14 months, over a year. Authorities alleged
Starting point is 00:15:49 schemes like this occurred throughout Brazil. Really? She was sentenced 18 months in prison, blah, blah, blah, blah. Here? No, it was in Brazil. Okay, okay, okay. I I know if she came here with a family or whatever. No, this one stayed down in Brazil, but it's still like, I ain't good with much. But I feel like I could tell the difference between a 30-something-year-old and a 12-year-old.
Starting point is 00:16:14 I wasn't even, I had to kind of be like, would they even that documentary that they did with the guy from the league? Natalie Grace. So, yeah. So maybe they could fool me. Sure, yeah. I bet they could fool me. You are right. If you're in like...
Starting point is 00:16:29 I don't know. Like, but then again, if this kid already fooled somebody and then that person told you and then you're going to like sponsor the person, would you... Well, she looks a little older. Yeah, you're gonna be...
Starting point is 00:16:46 If they're like, we have a 12 year old that needs a house, you kind of come off as a dick if you're like, Dad, she ain't 12. She ain't look special. Stop, she's autistic. Yeah. Oh, uh-uh. Uh-uh.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Oh, they'll do something. Get out of here. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, you kind of look like a heartless bastard. So, I mean... It's like those people who are on TikTok who are always like a woman in her 50s who everyone thinks is 30. And you're like, they don't. No.
Starting point is 00:17:14 Now they don't. There's this guy who's like... Where is she? Show us. There's this guy who's like 36-year-old man who was a 17-year-old model and he don't look 17. The cool moves so he can see him. Is he in the way? Are you in the way of him?
Starting point is 00:17:27 Yeah, none of them looked that way. You're like, nah, man, you're pretty much so you're in your fifties. You imagine that, though? You show up to adopt or whatever, this child, and you're skeptical, but you can't say anything. You can't say anything. I don't. This face the whole time. Hun, can I talk to you for a second?
Starting point is 00:17:46 I want to obviously foster this child and give them a home. Yeah. But I feel like, like, she's not a kid. I don't say, I'm not saying it out loud, I just look at her. She drove here. She drove here. I'm not saying anything. I'm just saying she drove here.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Put on her cigarette. I know she says she's 12 years old, but she drove, she dropped her kid off and then came over here to tell us she's 12. I don't know. She has a cigar. I don't know what happened. I'm not causing a scene. I'm just saying. I don't know why they're believing her, though.
Starting point is 00:18:23 So we just take her in? All right. Am I going on with you? You, now with you, mom and dad. That's going to be Cody's move to get him in a house. You'd be like, no, I'm a teen boy. Yeah, I got. I'll take the basement.
Starting point is 00:18:34 I got some type of Benjamin Button's thing. I got a thing anyways. It's a beard. Me and my dog are going to live in your house now. I'm 11. Cody's cup, it runneth over. Spilleth over with thy cheese. Over with cheese.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Yellow. Yellow cheese. He was telling our stream this morning that he had a dream and he never remembers his dreams. No. He was filling up a notch cheese. Like you would be doing at one of your events? Yeah, it was at some event.
Starting point is 00:19:00 And it was like getting down to crunch time. Yep, yep. And I was, I had a nacho cheese for some reason. And I was filling cups up. And I can't remember like the context of it. But this one, and it was like a time crunch or something going on. So to fill it up that much. Perhaps you feel like your life.
Starting point is 00:19:19 So I wonder. Maybe your life is full. Maybe you're overwhelmed. You're feeling overwhelmed by things? No. Not really? No. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:25 Pretty good. We're about to get very busy come fall and wintertime, so maybe that's that. I like that, though. About to have some long days, but you like long days. I do. I like when it makes you feel like you're doing stuff and like you're going to be doing stuff, bud. Like it's meaningful. Oh, it's going to be meaningful.
Starting point is 00:19:42 That's what I mean. Like, I like that. So that doesn't bother me. We're doing a thing that I can't wait to tell everybody about. We've been keeping a naughty secret for so long, but soon. Soon you all will know. I want to tell you guys something that you might not. No.
Starting point is 00:19:56 And that's that hit clips are back. Nah. Dude, they're so back and they're in my house. I don't need them. I have. I still have my NSYNC, Back's your boys, Britney Spears, Christina Gallera.
Starting point is 00:20:07 You don't know what hit clips are. Let me remind you of hit clips. Hell yeah. Right between the years is hit clips. Music. He gets you gluten. Hit clips is a slick micro music system. This type package is small,
Starting point is 00:20:20 but pumps out monster sound. The break down like this. We clip, clip, clip, and sample songs. Just only the groove there. Oh, hey. We're O'Down. Hit Clips. We're O'Down. Hit Clips.
Starting point is 00:20:35 Don't make me plow. Hit Clips. Micromic System. You can collect them all. Each sold separately. So hit clips back. Does not play full song, it says, in the bottom right corner. This is what I'm pointing out.
Starting point is 00:20:46 Hit Clips is back. And if you don't know hip clips or maybe you weren't, I never own hip clips, but I knew what they were. Yeah, that was out of our. You had a little, it was pre-MP3. It was like right before it. It was between CDs and MP3 players. I think my brother maybe had a couple. I didn't know who they were for because you don't get the whole song.
Starting point is 00:21:08 No, but it was that like to cut out pictures of boy bands from a magazine and put them on your wall. Yeah. People. You know what I mean? Yeah. That. So you would get a little clip of like O-Town. Yep.
Starting point is 00:21:24 Or. Yep. Backstreet Boys or I know Britney Spears and that kind of stuff. Yep. And then you would listen to just one minute of the song. Not the whole song. Nope. Just one minute.
Starting point is 00:21:35 And you just keep going through. Well, it's back. And it's in my house. I'm going to tell you what it is. So the newest collectible in my home that my oldest and my wife are having fun with. Is the mini brand's vinyl play set? Let me tell you what this is. Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:54 It's exactly hit clips. Yeah. And I'm going to explain it to you in a nerdy way. But it sounds different. So it's, if you look up mini brands vinyl playset, it's a little mini record player, and you can go and buy these mini brands vinyl, like... That's funny.
Starting point is 00:22:15 They're like, what are they, like a mystery vinyl. Yeah, no, that's funny. So my oldest... I don't problem with these. And my wife has started their mini vinyl collection. Hit clips were, I mean, back then they were great, but hit clips are dumb. This is, this is funny. And it's the same thing.
Starting point is 00:22:30 So, like, last night. This is neat. They were at Walmart and they got, like, they like to, they like to get their vinyl and then sit at the counter and see what they have because there's a whole piece of paper they print out of all the mini vinals that you can collect. Now, see, I like that. And they have little mini. It is the same, though. You can build a little mini crate to put your mini vials in.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Oh, I see that. I see that. You can build a little mini shelf to put your mini vinals in. All right. That's just cool, though. And it works. exactly like hit clips did back in the day where you take the little mini record out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:00 And in a nerdy way, I'm going to tell you how it works. There's probably like a little RF chip or something in there that tells the player to play this clip. So last night, my oldest got a Kiss record. They got a Benson Boone record. That's wicked cool. They've got, there was a Taylor Swift one at some point and it just plays a minute of the song. Not even a minute, honestly. like 30 seconds.
Starting point is 00:23:24 That's funny. Of like the hook. Let's see. Is there... What? Trying to see if there's like, um... Of course there's not. Like a radio station play set.
Starting point is 00:23:35 No, I wish. You could buy... Oh. Oh. You could... I don't know. That's the damn stranger things. Play set because they had the radio station the last season.
Starting point is 00:23:46 I'm trying to find it. Because that would be cool. All the albums you, okay. You can get the mini. If you collect them all. Yeah. It's worth like $500 If you collect all these
Starting point is 00:23:57 You go to eBay Where do you get said Walmart Target It's just it's like a plastic ball That says mini brands And you don't know what the vinyl is And you get it It's those
Starting point is 00:24:08 Yes Like when they did like Corn And Little Microwaves And here's a little cake Right
Starting point is 00:24:18 Yes Yeah yeah yeah Here's a little hot dog When you said corn I thought you're talking Like Yeah No num num num num num num num num
Starting point is 00:24:23 My old is, like, my oldest, when they were little, had a mini brand grocery store. So that's how we knew about mini brands. Okay. Is you have a little mini brand and you stock the shelves. Yeah. So now. They'll just normal size from my hands. I know, but they got Sting if I ever lose my, if I ever.
Starting point is 00:24:41 Who in my head? Whatever that song is. Okay. Got that one last night. Shania Twain. Should this be something I'm looking out for? Are they a rarity? They're not rare.
Starting point is 00:24:51 It's just like a, it's like a fun little thing to do right now. Yeah. But I was watching them open them last night, and I go, this is just hit clips. Yeah. They brought back hit clips 25 years later. How many are in each ball? Great question. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:25:04 I don't know how many balls they bought versus, I think, be like a couple. Because you don't know what you got. Yeah. And you open it and you're like, did I get a new one? I got a new one. It's cute. It's fun. That's a big deal.
Starting point is 00:25:14 I was doing that for a little bit with like, they had some NFL figures, like just the little ones that got me for a little bit. The WWE ones got. for a little bit. It's fun. That's fun. It's fun. And it's silly, like, how everything is miniature.
Starting point is 00:25:29 And they have a little mini rack for your vinyl. A little mini shelf for your vinyl. A little mini record player. The little little box is fine. So if you're looking for collectibles or you want to relive your hit clips days, that mini brands vinyl is very popular in my house. Tuesdays are for the unexplained, the unknown. And you're going to want to hit that real good, bud.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Because today's high strength. It's quite literally a high strangeness. What, what did I do? No, I was like, what happened? It started, it went down and it was huge. Maybe I don't need that. You're going to want to be nice and high for today's high strangeness, as it's literally about drugs, Cody.
Starting point is 00:26:11 Yeah, dude, dude. So, I like to see what all the smart people are up to, so I follow just a lot of scientific journals. Yeah. I don't understand anything. Big science mag reader. Yep. I do like science.
Starting point is 00:26:25 stuff. I don't understand any of it. The whole time in the Yankees game, he was reading a science magazine. Thank you. I was. But I like to know what the smarts are up to, okay? And I follow it, and I do my best to understand it. And thanks to Claude, I'm able to
Starting point is 00:26:41 summarize things I don't understand. Like, I'll put a whole scientific paper into Claude. Yeah. And say, could you dumb this down for me? Yeah, I like Cody AI. And to have it explain it to you? It's really tailoring to my weird way of asking things.
Starting point is 00:26:58 So I see a scientific paper end of last week and I start to read it and it kind of makes sense and then I have Claude summarize it for me and then I start to watch YouTube videos on it and I go, this is a high strangeness because this is very, very strange.
Starting point is 00:27:18 As scientists are now going to study what's going on with DMT, Now, you probably think, yeah, it's a hallucinogenic drug, blah, blah, blah. Okay, okay. Okay. Let me tell you what scientists are looking into. A little more, yeah, there's other uses.
Starting point is 00:27:39 I'm above my skis on this. I don't, I don't predict myself ever trying DMT. I don't know if there will be a reason for me to do it. No, same. No desire to really do it. Same. But this paper asks. It's interesting.
Starting point is 00:27:53 It's interesting, because this paper asks, When people get a high dose of the psychedelic drug DMT, they often report meeting bizarre, intelligent beings in an entirely different reality. And scientists are asking, could these beings be real in some sense rather than just the brain's imagination running wild? Now, you're like, what do you mean? Are they real? Like, what are scientists trying to understand?
Starting point is 00:28:24 We have a Marvel multiverse? Oh, yeah. The scientists who are looking into this start from an idea where physicists and philosophers have proposed something called conscious realism, Cody. Which says that what we normally think of real in the physical world is actually a simplified video game display in our minds. used for survival. I used to do that all the time as a kid. Through evolution. What?
Starting point is 00:28:58 That we were just a video game being played by somebody. So, like, I'd be on my bike and be like, and he hits a B because I just did a jump. Oh, that's fun. Sad, lonely, very sad. What wasn't the fake video game? What wasn't my only friend? The video game play always got my only friend.
Starting point is 00:29:17 You're my best friend. He's my best friend. No, what they're saying, and you got to really open your minds for this guys, is that around us right now are things that our brain is filtering out. There's things happening in this realm right now that our brain is filtering out because of evolution. We've adapted in a way where it's like, okay,
Starting point is 00:29:40 I don't need that information right now. And what DMT is doing is removing those filters, essentially, and showing you the reality around you. Now, I know. This is a hard explanation. No, no, I get. it because when you hear people talk about taking these substances, it's always like a encouraging thing.
Starting point is 00:30:00 It opens up my eyes above or like the whole ayahuasca. All that stuff. Thing, man, that's what it's supposed to do is break down the things that, you know, you're met to be blocked by the world. And this opens your eyes to the reality that it is. Yeah. The author's theory is that DMT might act like a temporary upgrade to our percentage. that lets some of these normally visible entities become briefly visible,
Starting point is 00:30:28 which could explain why DMT visions are so bizarre, coherent, and consistent across different universes, instead of looking like random dreams. Meaning, and I have a clip for you here, there's a specific mushroom in Asia that this guy's going to talk about. Okay. And whenever people take this mushroom, they see little people all around them, all around them. Interacting with the world. So these little people would be climbing on this keyboard, on this board.
Starting point is 00:30:59 The guy's going to talk about a guy that recounts a soup incident. And you're like, all right, that's the one. I told you, I told you this is wild. And this guy, the scientist from, I think like the University of Utah or whatever. Okay. Is like, you know what? That would be one thing if it was just this guy's hallucination. But he found multiple accounts.
Starting point is 00:31:21 from different cultures of when this specific mushroom is introduced to your body, you see little people, okay? Wild man. And the little people are revealed. So here's the guy, here's the guy talking about that mushroom, the DMT. You let me get this real quick. And the little people. For the past four years, I've been studying this new type of hallucinogenic mushroom.
Starting point is 00:31:45 In talking with people who have experienced this effect firsthand, And they've described the effects as first seeing several hundred, if not thousands, of little people embedded in their environment. They're often reported as interacting with the real world, jumping on chairs and tables. One person told me, as they were eating soup, the little people were jumping off their spoon into the bowl of soup, swimming around. And as they scoop their spoon to eat them, the little people reneeded in their mouth. 90% of people actually see little elves or clowns or other fairy-like figures. Many people are familiar with the depiction of this effect through Gulliver's Travels, where he lands on an island called Lilaput, which is of course the namesake.
Starting point is 00:32:33 Reports of this actually first comes from the early missionaries embarking into Papua New Guinea. Decades later, in the 1990s, reports of a very similar sort of mushroom, began emerging in southern China. Not until recently in the past summer, did it come to my attention that a remote culture in the Northern Philippines had been also reporting this sort of Lillipusian hallucination
Starting point is 00:33:02 from a locally collective wild mushroom. I actually ventured there last summer to perform fieldwork and found out that's actually the exact same species that was previously known only from China. So the fact now that we have three independent cultures reporting the exact same phenomenon, and in two of them we've been able to verify it's the exact same species, because it's very high confidence that there is some sort of chemical inherent within this mushroom.
Starting point is 00:33:33 So we're really hopeful in potentially discovering a compound in this mushroom that can reliably elicit this effect to potentially open a window and shed some light on this otherwise mysterious and bizarre. serious and bizarre neurological condition. What? You just eat that whole mushroom, man? I know this is a heavy-duty high strangeness. No, it's just that this, this mushroom produces tiny little people. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:02 It's Gulliver's Travel, Gulliver's Travels. That's a weird book and weird movie. It's all weird. But is there some legitimacy to it? That's what High Stranges is for. It's talking about stuff like this. Yeah. Scientists aren't saying, yes, this is proven, but they're saying we need to study this.
Starting point is 00:34:20 Because if all, if people across different cultures, islands in the Philippines, China, all over the place, use these specific mushrooms and they see the little people. Yeah. Why are they all seeing the same thing? I mean, I know there's probably more that goes into it, but I think it's just as simple as that's a side effect of this wild ass mushroom. They are openly say the boring. Mainstream explanation is still likely it's probably just an elaborate hallucination. Right. But we do need to run experiments where scientists can see if, and I know, follow me here.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Yeah. If these entities are among us right now and we just can't see them because our brain has evolved in a way to filter them out. Okay? I don't know. Okay. I love it. That'd be great that if I took some DMT, all with some. sudden, you know, like flying spaghetti monster would be up in the sky being like,
Starting point is 00:35:19 all right, Cody, can you see me now? I feel like, I can't spaghetti monster. I feel like it'd be irresponsible of me. Watch out for me, ball man. To do this high strangeness and only promote the positive parts of DMT. So, I'm going to leave you with a clip from Snoop Dog's podcast where he recounts his experience with DMT. Oh boy.
Starting point is 00:35:43 So that you can see both sides of the coin. You'd think Snoop Dog is very experienced with drugs. He'd be all about DMT. No. No, no. Snoop Dog did not enjoy his DMT experience. They gave me some new shit called DMT. Nope. You've been, you been f***ed that?
Starting point is 00:36:02 I hit it one time. How was that? That shit was like a guy and was dead and then came back and looked at itself dead. It was like, okay, I didn't see death. I'm cool. That's what everyone says. Yeah. Do you believe that you're like seeing God when you see DMT?
Starting point is 00:36:14 Not God, I said death. Oh, look, it felt like, I was like, He's sinking down his chair. Yeah, he's scared. He didn't like it. Looking at myself dying, like, man, what the fuck is you doing? Don't let that, do not hit that one more time. Wow. You want another one?
Starting point is 00:36:29 Mm-mm. Bitch, I'm done. Wait, you said you saw your own body? Yes. Like you like. I stepped, yep, I stepped out of my body and looked down at myself for like about 25 seconds. Then when I come out of it, I was like, my fingers and, and it was like, and I was like,
Starting point is 00:36:44 uh, whoa, this is not for me. Not for Snoop Dog. Wow. So again, not for everybody. I ain't for Snoop Dog.
Starting point is 00:36:54 That's crazy. I didn't, that's, yeah, no, I get it. Some stuff, that's like that Salvia,
Starting point is 00:36:59 mm-hmm, where you've heard of people having like whole existences. Yeah. They live a whole other life and then come out of that and it's been two minutes. Like,
Starting point is 00:37:10 I just live the whole life inside of this. You also, You also hear stories of just natural human brain chemistry doing that. Yeah. Like falling asleep and thinking that you've lived 100 years when it was just a nighttime dream. Your brain is crazy. Everything is just connecting different, you know, things in your brain that aren't connected or haven't been connected or supposed to be connected.
Starting point is 00:37:32 And a lot of these drugs act as like, you know, a jumper cable. And all of a sudden, something that, you know, was in your brain is now visible. and it's you know some people messes them up man yeah joe is saying salvia's crazy and it's real short real intense and real short big bank says my dad smoked at once and thought the wallpaper was attacking him in the car yeah no thanks yeah our brains are extremely powerful and i think drugs like dmt can do something now why it's showing different people the same little people i don't know science is going to look into that just an interesting side effect of those weird ass mushrooms
Starting point is 00:38:09 It's just parts of our brains that we can't understand. But if they help people in certain ways with mental health. And that's the other thing is I know plenty of people were like microdosing DMT or microdosing ketamine or all those things. Does wondrousful of them. Again. No, it's because I don't know. I'm not smart enough, but I've read.
Starting point is 00:38:27 Me either. I try to read and watch little like clips about all that because, you know, because I even had Cote AI said, explain this to me like I'm a five-year-old. Same. Yeah, I know that. Yeah. I do it all the time. And it was basically that, you know, for things like depression and crap like that,
Starting point is 00:38:45 you've got something missing where here's this side and here's this side and you're missing something in the middle. And that's causing some type of whatever and then some type of mushroom or whatever as a low dose connects those two and puts things kind of where they're supposed to be in your brain and that interests the hell out of me. Same. Same. It can help a lot of people.
Starting point is 00:39:06 It's not just me like, oh, I want to trip. I have no interest. in tripping balls. But I have interest in that of feeling good. Yes, I have people in my life who came out of the military with severe PTSD, extreme PTSD. And they said they did microdosing of these things. And it feels like you said, it just reconnected the wires. Their wires were all afraid and they're the being in war and all that.
Starting point is 00:39:31 They came back and just plugged them all back together. I don't know if it's true or not for other people to try. Man, yeah, I definitely. Trickish as I did mushroom once and it felt like I was. third person GTA. Like you're walking behind yourself. That's pretty cool. Yikes.
Starting point is 00:39:44 Anyways. I've never had that. We'll see what science figures out when it comes to the little people. The Gulliver's travels, little tiny fragles walking around. Right. To design the Lexus ES, all we had to do was listen. Your ears said exactly where to put the speakers. Your eyes told us where to put the available head-up display.
Starting point is 00:40:10 Hey, Lexus, find me an alternate route. Even your right foot helped out. It let us know you'd enjoy it. a little more torque. Turns out, you had a lot to tell us. We certainly heard you. The Lexus E.S. Not just for you.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Buy you. See Burdick Lexus and Cicero. To the show.fm. For all of our streams, podcasts, links, social medias, and so much more. That's where it keeps me like a genie when we're not on. I do.
Starting point is 00:40:38 I put them in a little box. Mm-hmm. And it's just his head. A little blue hat float in there. I'm like jombie. Maca, like, hi, Maca, let me go. A lot of drug talk happening in that chat right now. So if you've, uh, we're chatting.
Starting point is 00:40:54 We're chatting up about all the meds that we're on, meds we should be on, meds our wives want us to be on, lots of stuff. So, yeah, it's just, uh, as Katie said, I like to just, thank you, be high on Jesus. Yeah. The best drug, the highest I get is our, is our Lord. Is when I'm high on the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, when I'm high on the Bible. Oh, you want to take a hit?
Starting point is 00:41:14 I like take a hit, too. when I pull out the Bible and read a verse or two. Yeah, thank you. There's a couple hits that I take of the B word Bible. Yeah. Y'all are hitting your bongs. I'm hitting the good book. Yeah, I'm hitting the good book.
Starting point is 00:41:27 Thank you. You're hitting that good good, we're hitting that good book. Thank you. Sinners. We're going to hell. Mm-hmm. Going right now. No, my mom's not going to let me go to hell.
Starting point is 00:41:39 Oh, don't we just have to like. She prays for me. Right before the end, be like, Pimton prays for me. She bus. I love you. Yeah, we can do that, but I feel like I got the work in early. There you go. And I feel like generally we're good people.
Starting point is 00:41:51 Like, I'm not out here doing bad people stuff. No, I've only ever probably... I'm trying to help people, so I think we've earned some points. I've probably only broken a few of the commandments. Yeah, but I don't feel... I've never murdered. The commandments are just guidelines. That's what I mean.
Starting point is 00:42:05 Yeah. Yeah, I've never done any type of murdering. I mean, there's parts of the Bible we don't follow. We're out here mixing fabrics. We'll put, you know, different food. together we're not supposed to. Well, all right. That's why you guys think it's because I'm weird.
Starting point is 00:42:22 I don't let my foods touch. Oh, it's a religious thing, yeah. It's a religious thing, so the ridicule can stop right now, or else I'm going to have you arrested for a hate crime. No, I think that we're doing the good work. And like I said, I front-loaded my life with all the Lord. I got my reps in, dude. I really did.
Starting point is 00:42:40 From like birth... Some people backloaded the Lord. Exactly right. You front-loaded the Lord. I'm the opposite, dude. I got it out of the way. Some people stretch out the Lord all their love. There's all these born-again's that are commenting at the end of their life.
Starting point is 00:42:54 They're preaching and blah, blah, blah. Uh-uh. Your boy did it first, born. I was born. And Tam-Tam had me in Sunday school. Boom. Religious camps. We're going to Casasco for different retreats.
Starting point is 00:43:08 Going to church. Boom. Loaded it up. You're going to the basement of church and doing things. Boom. I'm doing Sunday school. I'm doing teen nights. Luckily, my...
Starting point is 00:43:17 I'm going caroling? You got caroled? Dude. Yeah, I think it cancels out one murder, matter of fact. So... I think that cancels out one murder. I youth grouped it, bro. I did it all.
Starting point is 00:43:30 I did the Bible, vacation Bible school. So when I get to them pearly gates, they're going to let me look at your record. Oh, my theory is he, she, whatever's up there. Yeah. I'm going to look at my record and go, let me see... And then the star starts out to the title. Wow. I have no reason.
Starting point is 00:43:44 to go on from here. Well, the, but you're just gonna, you're hoping that he's not gonna go, let's just jump to the end. Why'd we peter out here? Oh. Hmm. Or, oh, yeah, you better hope
Starting point is 00:43:55 you're not in late that day. What do you mean? Early because the later you get in, he's gonna be tired and he's gonna just skip to the end and to see. Oh, I hope he doesn't do that. All right, let's just see what we got.
Starting point is 00:44:06 All right. Well, honestly, dude. He just starts flipping back a little from there and there's nothing. He's gonna be like, well. Mm-mm. No, no, no, no. I front-load it.
Starting point is 00:44:14 I froloaded. No! Yeah. And we don't know. I mean, I'm hopefully not going to, we're not dying today. So maybe at the back end of my life I do. Oh. Not too. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:44:24 Maybe on the back end of my life I do find the Lord again. So maybe he, it's just this middle part I don't want him looking at. I want me to. I don't. I'll stop. No, I won't. I won't. I won't be.
Starting point is 00:44:35 In the next out for many years, you start. If I can't, one day, you just kind of shoot me a text. A serious question. Uh-huh. But look, serious, though. why don't you go to church? And honestly, I front-loaded it. I'm good.
Starting point is 00:44:47 And my Christian beliefs are very religious. I mean, they're very extreme. I have extremely, extremely dangerous religious views. Things like feeding the hungry, speaking up for the voiceless, you know, outlandish things that the Bible taught me. Yes. I'm out here walking around preaching. Here he goes. I'm always trying to not covet thy neighbor.
Starting point is 00:45:13 But also, I know Tam Tam's out there working. She's working the backside. Yeah, I think our moms pray for our sinning souls as much as not so much, you know, getting down on their knees and at the end of the end of the day and going, Dear Lord, please help. But, you know, just casual times throughout the day. God help these kids. What did my mom tell me last week? Hold on. What did she say about heaven that we talked about last week?
Starting point is 00:45:36 Remember because Nanny who was visiting me and. Well, following you around, you mean. She was following me around. I forget. Yeah, she said something. Point, poignant. God says the Bible, in the Bible, that my house has many mansions. I think that his many planes are dimensions and whatever it is.
Starting point is 00:45:57 And when we get there by believing in him and faith, it's all there, Josh. Okay. So she says, you need to believe. This is my whole life, by the way, Tam, Tam trying to get me to believe. And I will. Yeah. I will. But I also know she's preaching for me.
Starting point is 00:46:12 Now, luckily, I was never forced on me, but just through life and stuff. Again, I formed my own. We were both raised in Christian homes that had radical beliefs like be a good person and take care of others and the less fortunate. Yeah. It's crazy. It was pretty wild. It's crazy. How often it was stressed to be a good person.
Starting point is 00:46:37 Yep, it was wild. And then we failed. Other side of this. phrases that if you're still saying, you're considered a little old I'll give you a quick example before we go to break I'm going to video that
Starting point is 00:46:53 I'm going to videotape that show I'm going to I'm going to videotape that all the time I just said it dude I just said it and the weird thing is is I didn't videotape things as a kid we didn't have a video recorder
Starting point is 00:47:07 Oh you didn't? No so I never videotape but I still say yeah I'm going to videotape that show so I can watch it later. I just said it because I wasn't, I almost just said it now. I wasn't videoing the Little League World Series. And I was like, oh, I didn't video this. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:47:39 I'm going to tape that. I taped it. Oh, I do say tape too. I didn't tape this. I'm going to tape that. So I think it's maybe a version of it. Get the show on demand. Remember you get your favorite podcast, whole thing boiled up, cooked down. What are they saying? I don't know. Just go get it. The show.com. F.m. For all the links. Boiled down. Boiled down. Boiled down. Cooked down. Because I don't cooked. Cook. You're cooked.
Starting point is 00:47:49 I cooked a lasagna last night. And I have something I want to say. I'm something I want to say. Legzagny? Well, then today is it for dinner or was it for Yatli? Oh, bro. No, it's last night's dinner. Gotcha.
Starting point is 00:47:59 Which is fine. No, that's a seven out of ten. Yeah. Today's lunch will be a ten out of ten. Yeah. It's going to be a day old an anion. Somehow, just all the thing is all molding together today. But I want to say something.
Starting point is 00:48:10 to the pasta manufacturers. A pasta. Whatever you think you did or you solved with these oven-ready lasagna noodles, you didn't do it. They don't work. They're too crunchy. They don't bake right. You know what I'm talking about?
Starting point is 00:48:25 So let me tell you my process of baking a lasagna. It's one of my specialty dishes. Okay. There's a couple things I make real good. Yeah. Thanks to my Italian nanny teaching me different things. I can make a great lasagna. I can do a great chicken parm.
Starting point is 00:48:38 Chicken pan. I do have a new, my wife found a great fatuccini Alfredo, but whatever. I do a good lasagna. I like to go cheese heavy over meat sauce. So it's a little cheesier, but then I do a side saddle of sauce. So if you like a sauce, you can then sauce it up. Yeah, yeah. Saucy, I add a little sugar, add a little salt and pepper.
Starting point is 00:48:58 You kind of bring down the acidity. Yeah, I have to do that for my mind. I use a meat loaf, yeah. I use a meatloaf mix for my meat, so it's the lamb, veal, and beef. But these last couple of times, I got tricked. Uh-oh. Yeah, I don't think I've ever used these. The noodles.
Starting point is 00:49:15 The lasagna section has the lasagna noodles. And for my whole life, you boil the noodles. And then you slap her down. And then you use them. These last couple of times, I've been tricked by the noodles that is say oven ready, meaning you put hard noodles in the pan that you don't boil them. They're supposed to. Cook with the lasagna.
Starting point is 00:49:38 Okay. And they do fine on the lower levels, but the closer it gets to the surface, they don't. Yeah. Like that crunch. Yeah. And then that's pasta's not supposed to have crunch.
Starting point is 00:49:50 No. So the top layer is always like harder on, inedible. It makes me mad. I'm not doing oven ready anymore. Angie says they work great for her. I have not had a good experience. Are the middle ones better than, than regular? What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:50:05 Like the lower ones. You said they're okay. They're those are exactly the same. Oh, they don't taste any better. It's not better and not worse. You could just make a couple for the top layer. I mean, it's next to step. If I'm going to do it, I'll just do it.
Starting point is 00:50:16 Just get the, yeah, I'll do it the way I always have. Then you got some delicious pasta water to drink for later. If it worked, you know, I like a nice mug of pasta water. If they weren't great for you, good. But oven-ready lasagna noodles have not been my jam. I'm not a fan. Yeah, you need to sauce them a lot. Maybe it could be me.
Starting point is 00:50:33 Susan is right. That's true. You're not having enough sauce on there. Maybe if I sauce them harder. I lean more your way. I do a little more sauce, but I'm the same because I don't want mine to, I hate when you go to, like, cut it, and it just all goes landslide. I hate that.
Starting point is 00:50:52 That's why second day lasagna is better. The worst, a sloppy noodle and a lasagna is one of my least favorite foods. Because it's like the texture and stuff. That texture almost ruins the whole meal for me, I can't. I can't. It's just, I don't know, there's something about that texture of a noodle, but you get a good one. Ooh.
Starting point is 00:51:14 I love it. I'm ready to eat a big old plate of lasagna right now. I'll be eating one by 10.30 this morning. Lazzania is good for breakfast. Love it. The pasta is fine for breakfast. It's my favorite combination of an Italian dish because I love a ricotta. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:25 Right here. Yeah. There you go. That's a ricotta. I love a meaty sauce. I go very meat. I go very meat heavy on my sauce. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:32 A lot of you like more of saucy saucey sauce. I like saucy, but I also like a little meat. And I don't like those. I like when there's sausage in it, but I don't like those Like bigger sausage chunks I know what you're saying Not a fan of that Sarah can't stand the texture of lasagna you does either
Starting point is 00:51:45 You know what I like and you're gonna hate it Turkey A little turkey lasagna A little turkey lasagna turkey sausage and lasagna I would throw a whole pan of lasagna Of lasagna. It's not I've used not even
Starting point is 00:51:59 Not even Turkey sausage I've used just like brown turkey And just So it's just a straight turkey lasagna I like the other one better But I wanted to see So I like a lot of things
Starting point is 00:52:12 Sorry to announce it today's the last show That we do together Because that's disgusting Turkeys on ya Ground turkey Not even turkey sausage It's a ground turkey Straight old thing of ground turkey
Starting point is 00:52:26 He also likes turkey bacon though So that Tric bacon's fun Just set Just set your expectations I like the other ones too Regular animals I like to eat.
Starting point is 00:52:36 Just a turkey. That stupid bird is delicious. I know. You're a big turkey proponent. I get that. And I'm not going to lie. What? Like Donkey said,
Starting point is 00:52:43 vegetable lasagna is pretty good too. All of you are insane! I don't even like vegetables that much. What's the vegetables? What are you putting in there? Spinach. Is it like a spinach? Is it like when you do a...
Starting point is 00:52:56 Spinach is Italian. Like they use it a lot. We use a lot. Like in a stuffed shells with some regat and spinach. Mm-hmm. But see, I like all of them. I know. Cody is not, he's not leaving anybody out of the party.
Starting point is 00:53:11 No, I like if, so like I go over your Italian house. You're like, ah, we're eating healthy today. We do a turkey. I'm like, fine with me. First of all, you're never going to walk into an Italian house where they say we're eating. We all just had heart attacks. Yeah, we're all on our third heart attack, so we got to eat a little healthier today. So our lasagna is going to be turkey.
Starting point is 00:53:29 Yeah, anyways, help yourself to a stuffed pepper and a giant meatball while you're here. Oh, stuffed pepper. Um, so the things you say, oh my God, box car says seafood lasagna. That I've never even tried because I don't. Not a chance. Can't. I can't do it. I flip the table if you put a seafood lasagna.
Starting point is 00:53:48 What is it? Shrimps? Scrimps? Probably. Put scrimps in it? Probably. Or calamari? Do you have a calamari in there or something?
Starting point is 00:53:54 I don't know. I don't know. Those cup screen. Some of the things that we say as, as olds that make a sound old, we gave you the example. before the break here, videotaping or taping. I'm going to tape that. I'm going to video that. I'm more record now.
Starting point is 00:54:13 Like early 2000s? Is that one like TiVo came out? Yeah. Is that one the switch kind of? Definitely was because I knew people with TiVos at the end of my college run. I never owned a TiVo. No, we just had. But it was cool concept.
Starting point is 00:54:25 We were one of those people. We went off campus to Spectrum. We got a box. Oh, nice. We were like, nah, cable, bro. You didn't have cable in your room? We had cable. Yeah, but we want.
Starting point is 00:54:37 You want the cable. We had all the sports. Yeah, we were those. No, we just had whatever the campus cable was. Yep. Pound sign instead of hashtag. That's what it is. It is a pound sign.
Starting point is 00:54:53 It's not a hashtag. It was a pound sign. That's still confusing me sometimes. I wouldn't say, you know, like the video I just posted on K Rock is the anniversary of our buttercody. And it says hashtag buttercody. I wouldn't say pound town buttercote or pound sign. I would pound town. Poundtown buttercote.
Starting point is 00:55:09 Hey, let's hashtag pound town. Yeah. Oh, I mean. But no, I get it because I'm not that old. You want to like right when Twitter started, it took a second to learn it because you would hear older people. Pound sign, whatever. Yeah. You're like, aha, grandma doesn't know.
Starting point is 00:55:27 But when Twitter and all it started, because that's where I learned hashtags was Twitter. I didn't know this was something you say that's old and this is why my kids never understand me when you say phrases like half past or quarter till when saying the time it's about quarter to eight right now about half past seven right now just tell me that it's 7.15.
Starting point is 00:55:48 You don't like those things? 745. Do you say those? No. No. But I mean I can see where people wouldn't and be like what? Half past 7? It's quarter eight, Josh. I'm assuming they don't teach that stuff in schools. Pocket book.
Starting point is 00:56:03 a purse. Oh, your pocket book. My nanny never said purse. It was always pocketbook. Get my pocketbook. Gosh, get my pocketbook. I got a scratch off in there for you. Nice. Slacks instead of pants. Oh, nice pair of slacks. Nice, sensible pair of slacks. Oh, I am they not slacks. I found in the back of my closet and I completely forgot about them. Now summer's over my Panama Jack pants. You have linen pants and you're not wearing them? I forgot why. What are you talking about? I think they might have been Chris's. I want linen pants so bad. Yeah, I got Panama Jacks.
Starting point is 00:56:35 What are you doing? I was wearing them. I definitely wore them last summer a couple times and they were the most comfortable things you've ever put on. Yeah. I get it. I get it. You're out of your mind. You're not wearing them. I wanted to be a linen pants guy. I look very soon. Russell Brand ruined those for me. Yeah. It just comes off as like douchey guru
Starting point is 00:56:53 now. Well, now I just got to get the white shirt and I'll have a big old watch and I got my white team costume for Halloween. You're going to a white man wedding right there. Yeah. And then I say this one as well. Supper instead of dinner. Oh, sometimes.
Starting point is 00:57:08 Come over for supper. Supp. Supp. Supp. Yes, Sarah. Dungarees. What were those? My grandfather used say dungarees.
Starting point is 00:57:16 That on a pants? Jeans. Oh, is jeans? Right. Dunger. Yeah. Dungerese. Yeah, because it was, um, was it Lees?
Starting point is 00:57:26 Lee jeans. Lee Dungarees. Dungarees are why are they called Dungerese? Dungarees. Dungarees comes from Dungary, a historic port in India? What? I don't know why. Lee Dungarees is what they were?
Starting point is 00:57:40 Yeah, and I think so. You got your Dungarees? What was the slang for Dungarees? Oh, well, not that. But my code, no, Cody A, I'll figure it out for me. Sarah Smiles. That's why I don't, yeah, yeah. They're like trousers, bibs, overalls.
Starting point is 00:57:52 I don't even have to, I can just kind of say what I'm asking and Cody E.I. It's figured it out now. Pretty good. Supper is before five, dinner is after five, chat saying, okay. Really? Yeah. See, for real? Is that a real, like, old-timey?
Starting point is 00:58:07 I trust everything Jojo says. So she, yeah. That's what I mean? Yeah, it's like a, oh, so-oh. So you eat, your ass eat supper a lot then. You're a supper eater. I'm a supper boy. You're a supper leader.
Starting point is 00:58:17 Oh, this guy, old supper read. Remember those? You're saying that, and it sounds familiar. What was it? I don't know. It was like. What was a supper club? Ask Cody.
Starting point is 00:58:26 Yeah. Here we go. We're learning today. What was the supper club? The traditional dining establin or social gathering, around a leisurely community-focused meal rather than a quick bite. So, like, everybody would show up. Like a Ponderosa or Ground Round Round was a supper club.
Starting point is 00:58:43 Like a buffet. So we wanted to chat. So, yeah, the whole town is kind of like hanging out. Okay. Head down to the supper club. Oh, supper club. Community Center supper club. I'm Larry Pendleton here in my thrifted home in Rahobahoeh Beach.
Starting point is 00:58:58 Supper club. Tonight, Tom and I are heading to the supper club. I could see Grandma's going to a supper club, senior citizens. Yeah, grandma would love a supper club We go down to the community center We all have a dinner I think I well Besides the having to be social part
Starting point is 00:59:12 I might like a supper club Well it's it's a dinner at four It's a pancake breakfast Mm-hmm Fish fry dinner Yeah Well no not a barbecue Chicken barbecue
Starting point is 00:59:22 A couple of them coming up I'm starting to see signs around me A chicken barbecue? For like the churches Oh we had a We had a I don't know if the Granby fire department had one
Starting point is 00:59:32 But they got these signs with this like firefighting chicken. And every time those go out, it's like... I love them. At the Walmart, at the Granby City Center, which is apparently by Walmart or something. I don't know. It's like the Grandby City Center,
Starting point is 00:59:45 chicken barbecue. And it's the chicken and the fire. It's my favorite. I see those go up. I go to... There hasn't been one yet this summer. I usually, yeah, it's more like the start end of the summer, start of the fall.
Starting point is 00:59:55 I go to a couple. Phoenix American Legion will have chickens over there. They're so worth it. Yeah, dude. There's just big fat pieces of chicken and sides for like 15 bucks. Angie, I'm with you. Angie says in chat,
Starting point is 01:00:07 I love old people dinner time. 3.30 to 4.30 is perfect. It really is. I love it. I can't. I tried a little bit with, so I don't eat dinner so late. So really like heartburn and all that.
Starting point is 01:00:21 I found that I'm eating more like seven-ish. Oh, no, no. All of a sudden I'm like. Don't want that. Starving. So I went, dude. That's how you put on those pounds. I tried dinner.
Starting point is 01:00:34 I'm like, I'm going to eat at 3.30. I'm hungry. Now, I'm going to start making dinner now. What's the point of snacking a little? And then eating dinner in two hours, I'm just going to do it now.
Starting point is 01:00:46 And at seven, I was just, get some ice cream. And then after the ice cream, and I was like, I'm still a little peckish. And I went, oh,
Starting point is 01:00:52 see, this isn't going to work. That's how you put on those pounds, bud, you've worked so hard to get rid of them. You don't want to pound them back on. Yeah, I don't want to be eating dinner. I mean,
Starting point is 01:00:59 I would just because, you know, again, What? What do you just see? Same thing! What? That guy! He was vomiting on himself again?
Starting point is 01:01:12 Yeah, sorry, bud. I'm gonna punch him. I was trying to punch him? I wanted to talk about food, but now we've been... No, I'm fine. I was prepared. I already saw his... Same guy vomiting on himself, yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:22 No, I'm telling you, after 5.30, if you're hungry after 530, this is diet advice for me. No, but you've also lost... an ass ton. I've lost 40 pounds and here's my tip to you. If it's after 5.30, that's my time. And you want to eat. Grab a carrot, a little baby carrot. Or grab a cucumber.
Starting point is 01:01:43 Ooh, little cucumber. Or no, cucumber. Or no cucumber. Or if you want to get crazy, maybe you've got those, like, if you're on my house and you got the little mini chocolate chips with cookies from like Wegmans. Yep. You do two and you walk away. Yep.
Starting point is 01:01:55 You do two. After 530, it's moderation. I've been doing these, the no calorie, no sheds. sugar, the squeeys. So I get my electrolytes, but I put it in water and I'll do that. And this one's not the best because there's still some sugar in it. I take my coconut water. Good.
Starting point is 01:02:12 And I squeeze a little chocolate syrup into it. Yeah. All of a sudden you got yourself kind of like a chocolate milk. And it takes away that need, like, oh, I need so much sugar. I'm telling you, you want to fill your belly a big old glass of water, fill your belly right up. Yeah. The same techniques I used when I was broke in my 20s.
Starting point is 01:02:29 We're having sleep for dinner. Yep. Use them now. You just slug a big old glass of water. Sleep for dinner. Add you're full. I'm full. I'm full. I've got it. They had a couple crackers in there to like absorb things all of a sudden. Boom, we're not hungry no more. Fill it right in, man. Anyways, I don't know where this segment went, but we're old. We're just old. I'm having supper at four. I'm having a snack at 5.36 o'clock. What are these phrases that? Yeah, things you say if you're old. Well, and supper, they got us off on a tangent, which probably don't use either. Text chat says supper is a very Italian thing.
Starting point is 01:03:03 We've just always probably heard supper. Again, my nanny always said supper. Come over for supper. Hey, you're going to have a little supper. What are you doing? I was having a weird thought last night. I don't know if maybe I'm just noticing it now, or because maybe we have like, we're healthier now as a people.
Starting point is 01:03:22 Okay. But I feel like we have a lot more hot parents now than we did back when I was growing up. Like people might be probably younger than me now. They're all going to the gym. They're all in shape. They're all, they're runners. They're like, they're like hot parents.
Starting point is 01:03:37 A lot of people let themselves go or trying to get back into shape they were at one point. Like I see all these moms in their bikinis and all these dads like running marathons with their shirts off. Did we have hot parents in the 80s and 90s? Did they just look different? And I can't remember them. Um, yeah, they always kind of look different. It was just like a weird, like my dad was fit as out. He was?
Starting point is 01:04:02 Oh my God, yeah. Hot Frank? Yeah, he was very fit. All right. So. All right. I just, I'm like, I'll just be scrolling to Instagram and people who are my age are very fit.
Starting point is 01:04:12 Yeah. And they're very healthy and they're going on their hikes and they're going to their gyms. And we also didn't see, like growing up we saw what, five, six, seven, eight parents, maybe. True. And they didn't. Just in, you know, whatever group we were in. You didn't really see them in certain situations now with.
Starting point is 01:04:31 With social media, you see everybody jogging around and you see everybody this vacation where they're at the beach and their shirts are off and stuff like that. And maybe it was the clothing back in the 80s and 90s, too. It wasn't hot clothing. Also the same because in the same sentence that I say that, you know, Frank was, you know, fit as crazy. He also had a big mullet ponytail and a giant mustache and, you know, this type of chest hair, but more and, you know, this type of chest hair. but more and black. So they looked hot for 1989. Yes.
Starting point is 01:05:05 Not necessarily. Okay. I see what you're saying. Yeah. So we probably look at that and we're like, oh, which I mean now, that's like the thing again. But you know what I mean? As opposed to, you know, well, we shave everything and we're sleek and we got abs. We got these hunky dads with their mustache and their thigh meats.
Starting point is 01:05:20 We got these moms with their leg, like their tight leggings and their belly shirts on. Right. I'm like, we just got hot parents now. I'm not a hot parent. No. But I see them out there doing. their activities. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:32 And I'm just like, I don't remember this. I don't remember parents looking like this. And it's just, I mean, it's the hot people we grew up with having kids. They're still hot. Yeah, you're right. Athletic people we grew up with, they're just still athletic. Yeah, they're just randomly at. Look at the hot wives from the Yankee game.
Starting point is 01:05:54 Oh, true. There's three kids running around with them. Good example of hot parents. So, I mean, it's just. I guess there would have been hot. people back then too. But we didn't, but we just didn't see them as much.
Starting point is 01:06:04 Now we see them more because they're on Instagram. I got you. That's a good point. But I can definitely think of a couple hot moms. Yeah, there's a lot of them. From. And hot dads. No, from like when we were growing up. Oh, really? I can't think of a single one. Oh, I can think of a couple of moms.
Starting point is 01:06:18 Oh, yeah. I can't think of a single parent in my friend group. I'm racking my brain. None of them were Stacy's mom has got it going on. None of them. In a respective way, your mom was a hot mom? Oh, she was. Tam-Tam. It's just you don't think of it. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:06:36 She was a hottie. She was young, she was blonde. We had hot young moms. Yeah, your mom was probably hot too. Your mom's still hot. What up, Deb? What it is, Deb? So, I mean, there was probably a bunch. We just didn't know it. They weren't all over the Facebook. Didn't know it. And I wasn't developed enough to consider them hot back then.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Yeah. I just think we're more, the parents now are more athletic than they were back then. You, Frank was an outlier to be a guy who went to the gym back then. Yeah. And like, That was an outlier. Well, it was then because, you know, they all saw that Arnold Schwarzenegger video. Sure.
Starting point is 01:07:07 And everyone wanted to do that. Sure. Good for y'all. Good for y'all. Good for y'all. We're all hot. Our friend Lindsay's back from the Marriott, Syracuse, downtown. Good morning, Lindsay. Good morning, my friends. How are you? So here we are. I'm out a week and a half out.
Starting point is 01:07:22 I don't know how we got here. Week zero Saturday. Week zero. It slipped away. It did. It slipped away. Fair kicks off. But we're not talking fair. We're talking. tailgates as the Marriott Syracuse downtown does a fantastic tailgate even if it's just
Starting point is 01:07:36 are we still doing the shuttle oh we are even if it's just still for the parking yeah so tell people what your tailgates look like when you come down to the Marriott so tailgates wristband is $12. Whoa! I know and what you're getting with that $12 is a beer hot dog game day snacks so if it's a morning game we got you we'll put breakfast stuff out right and if it's afternoon we'll do afternoon goodies you get a free shuttle or included shuttle to and from the dome and parking in the Marriac garage. Yeah, that's what I'm saying about that parking. It's the best move.
Starting point is 01:08:05 Because obviously, listen, we all know what it's like to go to and come out of a game. Sometimes it's tricky. You can park in the Marriott lot. Take that shuttle right up the hill. Yeah. And you're right there. You don't go to mess with skytop. You don't go to mess with street parking.
Starting point is 01:08:19 Boom, right there. And you've done this. Yes, it's a cheaper option with everything you're getting. You're not having to deal with having to find a spot up in the, up there to park. First of all, because then you're in the parking garage or God knows where. Yeah, and it's a great vibe because you're out on the street. It is, and we have live entertainment. We're kicking it off on Saturday, September 5th with the barn dogs.
Starting point is 01:08:42 Barn dogs. But we also have a little kickback this year that we're rolling out that's new. So if you come back after the game to continue partying and having a good time watching football, you get 15% off your food and beverage purchases. Where you're going to be brought back to anyway. Right. Yeah. So just hop in and have some lunch or a snack or some drinks.
Starting point is 01:09:01 Thanks, right? Now, I think it's usually a sign that we're not very good when we get those noon games or those early games. But think of the day you can make out of it. You get there early, you have your snacks, you go. And then you come back and finish it up and watch some more sports on TV. We're kicking it off next Friday, though. Tell me about that. We are.
Starting point is 01:09:18 So our annual tradition since we opened 10 years ago. Whoa. Painting of the orange stripe down South Warren. It's a free event to the community. And Otto will be there for some photo app. But our whole team paints the stripe in anybody. who comes to visit is welcome to try it as well. It's going to be a fun event.
Starting point is 01:09:34 So you got two days of events next week. Friday and Saturday over at the Marriott, Syracuse downtown, and I don't even want to put this phrase out there yet, but it might not be too early to start thinking New Year's Eve, right? It might not. And I will be dropping the theme mid-September on the radio. And let me tell you it's a good one. Oh, I can't wait.
Starting point is 01:09:58 I almost want to spoil it now, but I won't do it. I know. I hate having secrets. Don't you hate having secrets? I know. It's too much. I got to share it. It's very specific. It's Tarzan Jungle Fees.
Starting point is 01:10:07 Is it? But it's Brendan Frazier Tarzan? Yes. Brendan Fraser Tarzan. Oh, last. No, guys, I know it's August. And we're talking New Year's Eve.
Starting point is 01:10:17 Look how fast summer went. It's because look how fast summer went. And because the Marriott Syracuse downtown does the biggest New Year's Eve party and it sells out. And I want you guys to get in there and have all that fun stuff. All right. Yes. In October is the early bird special. And that's the best discount you're going to see.
Starting point is 01:10:30 So we'll see you next month for that announcement. Oh, you will. Heck you can I wait. All right. Lindsay, always good to see you. You too, guys. Thank you so much. Painting the line next Friday.
Starting point is 01:10:38 Tailgates next Saturday. Get down there and enjoy the festivities. Oh my God. I love when Anthony LaGrelli stops by. I had a makeup for last time. Not bringing you guys food. These are so good. I love a beef rib, dude.
Starting point is 01:10:55 Anthony brought us in some beef ribs. My first time cooking. First time doing beef ribs? First time I'm doing big bread. So what was the process for these? I just saw a pepper again and put them in the smoker for like 10 hours. You said they were huge, like Flintstone style huge. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:09 I just want to run around and hit people with it. That's what I want to do. Bam-Bah. Like, do you have any use for the bones after you do all that? Do you have any dogs? I do have dogs and I ask my father-in-law, we could eat them. But I guess they can. They are hollow, but they can still, any bone can splinter.
Starting point is 01:11:24 Yeah. I don't think we end up giving it to the dogs. We just got a puppy. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, we just got a puppy, and we don't want it. Especially once you want you want. cook them. They start.
Starting point is 01:11:32 They're a little more fragile. Yeah, you don't want to injure the dog. Yeah, that'd be sad. Anyways. So, it would be so much fun to eat. So 10 hours you made these on the smoker. Yeah, yeah, just smoked them. Didn't do anything.
Starting point is 01:11:42 Salt pepper and a seasoning you forgot the name of, right? Yeah. I like that you're not a complicated seasoner. I like that. No, no, just nice and simple. Yep, I like that. I saw a guy on TikTok recently boil his ribs before smoking them. Have you ever seen that?
Starting point is 01:11:55 I've seen that. I've seen that. I've never done it. It just seems like a lot of work. I like simple. Yeah, I don't know. I didn't know if it made a difference. I can see what they're doing with it, but...
Starting point is 01:12:05 I think you can boil them, and they just cook a little faster. I think that's really the big thing. Okay. I think it just breaks down the fat. Because I know some people boil chicken, like they're fried chicken, or some kind of chicken they'll boil prior to cooking it. Yeah. But I don't know.
Starting point is 01:12:20 There's just a lot of work. Technically, we found out, but boiling beef is the way to go. Oh, we do that with our ground beef. I know. I actually copied you guys. That was the way to go. I can't believe it. I can't believe it.
Starting point is 01:12:31 Yeah. It's crazy how good it makes it like a simmered taco beef is really, really good. Yeah, it's crazy because you just assume you're doing it right. But those recipes and those instructions. Follow them. Exactly. We have like a mac and cheese recipe. Well, I don't know what it is anymore because my grandmother passed away.
Starting point is 01:12:48 We never got passed down. Oh, no. But it was just on the back of a mac and cheese box in like the 60s. Yeah. And it was like had tomatoes in there. It was delicious. And now it's gone forever. Now it's gone forever.
Starting point is 01:12:58 Yeah. Yeah. And don't lose it. them. No. And write down what you do, because that's my problem. I never remember. Same, same, bro. Same. Absolutely. Same. I like to make sweet tea at home, and I, and I dialed in my sweet tea recipe, and I wrote it on a big piece of paper and taped it inside my cabinet, so I always know my exact combo of sugar to tea bags, to water. It's a good move. Do you got a picture of it, too? Do you ever, like, in the cloud? I've done that. I've done that. In case my house burns down.
Starting point is 01:13:24 You never know. No, I don't want it to burn down. I take a picture. So what happened? The kids are cleaning, and they rip it down. Oh, good point. Anything can happen. Good point. Anthony Ligwili is here. Obviously, meets are his passion. Yes. But he's really good at construction as well. L.CNY.com, Legwilly Construction. Summer winding down. I'm still busy? Still busy. We're looking for work for the winter.
Starting point is 01:13:48 Okay. Getting more inside works that I bring my exterior crew inside. Okay. So we're looking for that kind of work. Bathrooms, kitchens, remodels. Yep, basements. We're looking for stuff for the spring. Okay. We're always thinking ahead.
Starting point is 01:13:58 Right now we're like two to three months out But we do have a crew that kind of floats around for like emergencies if we have to deal with something Okay But yeah we're It's a lot better than last year we're like six months out so I want to be in that little Good enough little play so you're not running out of work and finding that balance Also coming up and I'm taking part in this a little bit Coco maybe you want to come down Do you're some disc golfing
Starting point is 01:14:22 The 10th man discolving tournament happening on October 10th and 11th LaGwillie is a sponsor. Are you playing in this? I'm playing in. I'm not good. I've never tried. I've never tried. So come. You want to come? I be on my team. Can you explain what this means four layouts, four rounds? Yes. So Sullivan, they have, every hole has two throwing
Starting point is 01:14:44 platforms. Okay, like tea boxes? Yeah, T-boxes. Yeah, so that two T-boxes and two baskets. So you can play them in four combinations. So you got your short and you along so it changes the game when you're going into a different basket. So you're going to play every way that course is able to be played.
Starting point is 01:15:01 So it's going to be two full days of this golf, and we have cash prizes. Yeah, listen to this, Cody. It's October 10th and 11th, Saturday and Sunday, four layouts, two rounds each, $1,000 added cash for the pro divisions. Damn. AM divisions, one-of-a-kind custom trophy,
Starting point is 01:15:18 food and lunch provided, not by you, or you're not cooking it. No, I'm not cooking it, but I think I don't want to spoil it, but we have a really good restaurant, I believe, is catering, because one of the other sponsors, they painted their house, so then they're helping us with that. Nice. And then I'm not sure what's going on in a second.
Starting point is 01:15:33 But it's not confirmed. I think it's confirmed, but I'm not going to say it. Okay. Well, listen. People can still sign up for this, right? Absolutely, yeah, yeah. I was texting one of our longtime show bros, Andy Maxfield. He's a big disc golf guy.
Starting point is 01:15:44 It's like his life. He's already there. So I message him. He's there now. I message him and I go, hey, we're going to be doing a LaGuilly disc golf tournament on October 11th. He goes, oh, I'm already doing a tournament that day. I open the poster.
Starting point is 01:15:58 It's the same. tournament. So he's already signed up for this tournament. And he said, it's a great crew of guys and gals that are playing. It's a great crew. Like, the whole community of this golf is really fun. Have you been able to play a bunch of this summer? I've been playing a lot more this summer. Then often I'll pick up my friend, him and I
Starting point is 01:16:12 would go play. I went out to Rochester. I played a little about there. So I played a lot more this year. I actually started to get a little bit better. I still suck. But I'm getting better. So I got a basket in my front yard, and my kids and I, we play, we put, and we just practice. They're popping up everywhere, those courses.
Starting point is 01:16:28 There's a great way to get outside. Yeah. I think it's the fastest-grown sport. That's what I've heard. Because it's people that can't golf anymore, they can throw a disc. Yeah. And it's usually it's free to play in a lot of places or it's like a $10. And when you're golfing, it's so much more expensive.
Starting point is 01:16:45 I'm terrible at golf, so I like this better than golf. And it's all season, really. You can play. I've seen people play in the winter because if you can deal with the cold, you're just throwing a frisbee. Yeah. And we do it at nighttime. I thought it. They were going to do a golf tournament.
Starting point is 01:16:56 I know. It's so much fun. The first time I did it. It was my first tournament ever playing, and it's the one, because we're doing, I think we're raising money for Alzheimer's as well. And that's another tournament after that. And they do a night tournament. I chucked it as hard as I could, right into a tree, my hand.
Starting point is 01:17:13 Oh, you can't see it. I'm going to be a little bit more cautious. You punch your tree, essentially. I fell out of one. Had to diskgolfseen.com and search Tinman. Discgolfseen.com. Search Tinman if you want to sign up for that. A lot of great stuff going on.
Starting point is 01:17:30 With that, of course, construction-wise, you want to get on the schedule, L-C-N-Y.com. I'll be out there on Sunday. That's not a sanction tournament, so you don't need a, their P, whatever the pro member number. Anybody can play? Anyone can play in it? Okay. Yeah, so I'm going to be in, like, the amateur division because I don't play that much
Starting point is 01:17:49 and I'm not that good. So just come out and have fun. And if you only want to play one day, just play one day. We have, like, we're giving out those gifts. Okay. So every player's pack comes to things. And it would just be fun just to support something and try it out. Yeah, it's going to be fun.
Starting point is 01:18:02 It's going to be fun. We'll give you more information as that gets closer. The link is in the chat. Of course, Anthony, thank you for the food. Thank you for something. Bye. Robbie Zombie will be in town. Well, Dary and Lake coming up on Sunday if you're headed out to that show,
Starting point is 01:18:17 along with Mary Lamson, the Who and Orgy. Go ride some roller coasters and go see Rob Zombie out there at Daryon Lake. You take the right people with you have your cell phone orgy. Do you? I didn't hear you talk about it. Do you win any money on Sunday on the big match? Put your bets on the big... You didn't have any money on this?
Starting point is 01:18:40 Barveria's 65th annual German finger wrestling championships. You didn't have any bets on that? I didn't see you putting that in your draft games? I tried. I don't think I saw that in the list of live events. Sidebar question. Sidebar question. Cody had in my hat and my son had on the way down to our Yankees game.
Starting point is 01:18:58 And I know you degenerates can answer this. Oh my God. We are not allowed to bet on Syracuse University because we live in the state of New York. Correct. If we drive to Pennsylvania, which we did. Which we did. And open our draft kings app. Yep.
Starting point is 01:19:15 Can we then bet on Syracuse University? And then return. And then come back and collect prizes. If we win? Because we were having this conversation because we were trying to put money on Dimmery. elements. As soon as we crossed into PA, they had a whole bunch of different rules or whatever.
Starting point is 01:19:32 You just had to verify, yes, you were in these states. So we had to wait until we get back into New York. So a lot of you're saying no. How would it know? What if I was in Pennsylvania? But then when you cross back over, it's going to say when you come to collect that you were in New York and your bet is void, I bet, or something.
Starting point is 01:19:51 Or because it's linked to your address. It knows your address. So it knows you're just trying to trick it. It might be. What if I drove to a casino in Pennsylvania, went to their sports book, got a little printed piece of paper. Then? Then can I? I would imagine you'd be fine, right?
Starting point is 01:20:07 Anyways, it's not the topic I'm getting into here. We were curious about this over the weekend. I think just the issue would be is that you would then have to drive back to Pennsylvania's casino to collect. Sure. Okay. But if I happen to be visiting family in Pennsylvania on a Saturday when Syracuse is playing and I'm just sitting there watching the game, then I can play it, right? I don't think you... Or because I'm a New York resident, I'm not allowed to collect.
Starting point is 01:20:30 Yeah, I don't think because you're a New York resident, I don't think they're going to let you collect. Because that would circumvent the rules. Yeah. Alleged, I could easily tell a player to throw the game here at Syracuse and then just drive down to PA and that would circumvent the rules and that's not allowed. Probably they're thinking something along those lines. All right, got you.
Starting point is 01:20:48 Gotcha. All right. So back to the real sports, not football and baseball. I mean, the German finger wrestling. Finger wrestling championship. where what it does is it takes two opponents. I'm going to show you video. Fear not.
Starting point is 01:21:01 You'll see video in Twitch, YouTube, the show. at FM. You link your middle fingers through a leather loop and competitors attempt to drag you across the table to their side. Oh, I... That sounds so dangerous and painful. It really does. Also, I've been teaching a health class for the last couple months.
Starting point is 01:21:23 This is what I've been telling my students, coitus is. Oh, the finger wrestling championships and you interlock your middle fingers. Middle fingers through these leather contraptions and you drag each other around the room. Uh-oh. Competitors attempt. You're going to pull all your fingers out of joint. Like I like that when I crack my knuckles. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:44 Because I do that all the time. I do like cracking my knuckles. It's also it. I do it because I like it. But it's also an anxiety thing. Like if I get anxious, I will also start relentlessly trying to crack anything that. Yeah. can't be cracked anymore.
Starting point is 01:21:57 I pick out my eyebrows. It's a problem. I pull out my eyebrow hairs or my beard hairs. Well, it's working for you because your eyebrows look magnificent. Oh, no. If you could have seen me in high school, dude, my eyebrows are almost non-existent. Oh, look like that trend that the girls did where it was just nothing. I would just anxiously pick out my eyebrows.
Starting point is 01:22:12 I do that sometimes, but now I do it with my beard hair. At least you didn't. At least you don't eat it. No way. All right. Let's go to the screens. Oh, we got video of the finger wrestling? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:22 Oh, I absolutely do. Here's how it works. I got antlers. Oh. Now it's German, so... I was going to say, where are they? They look like prime... Look at this.
Starting point is 01:22:37 So basically... Athletic individuals right here. So for those of you are not watching, I know what you're thinking when it says it ties your middle fingers together. Oh! Oh! You're right? Imagine... Like, see how they're doing it? It's not like you're...
Starting point is 01:22:51 No, you're just holding a loop. You're holding a loop. He says the pain in your fingers is... excruciating. This was from the penultimate battle. And his fingers all cut up. It's like a huge gross blister. And it's all dies in like their 60s and 70s. I'm Dots champion.
Starting point is 01:23:10 It's brutal. It's brutal. Other sports are brutal too. It's unnecessarily brutal. Look at this. Put a thing on. This is absolutely something that originated in a beer hall. Well, yeah, that's what they are. They are at a beer hall.
Starting point is 01:23:23 I bet I can pull you across table. I bet you I can pull you. No, you can't pull to me. pull you and they get a leather loop and just start pulling at each other. Oh, that one kid's like putting his foot up on the table. Bouts only last a few seconds, as you're seeing. If you're foot down, you old bastard. That's name's Hans.
Starting point is 01:23:39 Of course it is. That's awful. John says he could win this. I'm not competing with any of you over this because this looks very painful. I used to be really good at mercy. What's that? Where you hit each other's knuckles? No.
Starting point is 01:23:54 Remember this? That's a p-nuckle. This, where you grab. Like you interlock your fingers with my fingers, and then you bend back. Oh, I don't like that. I don't like that. Because my wrists, like, look it. Look it.
Starting point is 01:24:07 I can. Oh, I don't like that. Yeah, my wrist go. So I would always really get at mercy. Look like my fingers can. I was always, and this is not me challenging you, man. So I'm going to say this. Yeah, challenge.
Starting point is 01:24:20 I'm trying. No, because there will suddenly be a need for people listening to challenge me. I am. I'm saying, step up. I had a strange ability in high school and college. Yeah. To win arm wrestling matches. And he'll whoop your ass now.
Starting point is 01:24:34 No, you won't. If you challenge him in public, no matter who you think you are. Tough guys. You pussies! Bring it down here to the studio. What about that? You see him out in public. Because I see how you professional arm wrestlers do it.
Starting point is 01:24:48 I saw you at wrestlecuse. I'm not arm wrestling any of you. I'm just saying I won many arm wrestling contests in high school and college. for silly fun. Off air, before when he mentioned this, he was saying that he would like to see somebody like our buddy Big E, the photographer friend,
Starting point is 01:25:08 come on down. He will whoop your ass in arm wrestling. Oh, Eric? Oh, I could kick his ass in arm wrestling. He knows that. He's listening right now. He knows that. He's afraid of me. He wakes up in cold sweats. That's what I heard. Scared of my big muscles. That's what I heard. Shut up, eyeball. You can't beat me.
Starting point is 01:25:24 Other side of this. I wonder. No, I couldn't. because you'd rip my shoulder out. Yeah, I'm not going to know that. My shoulder would pop out a socket the second that I put any pressure. Look, I can almost. The theory we had is that I have, I have, don't do that. Don't do, he just popped his shoulder out.
Starting point is 01:25:42 Hate it. He's like a circus freak over here. Stop! I don't want to see it. Stop it. Oh, I can't get it back in. Oh my God. That's so disturbing.
Starting point is 01:25:53 Oh, there. Hold on. The reason I think I won is the same reason. And the same reason I walk very fast and played basketball. I have long appendages. Yes, you do. My arms and legs are very long. So I think it was purely some kind of fulcrum situation where I was able to win.
Starting point is 01:26:11 I was able to win. I think it was some kind of angle that allowed me to win with my long bird-like arms. All right. I love it. So come on down. Challenges are open. Oh, you bitches can't beat me. We will hand you off to the 90s.
Starting point is 01:26:27 nine. A little Arlady Peace. What? But I'm like Friday, though. Oh, no, it's not till next. No, no, no, no, no. What were your thought? Football.
