Starting point is 00:00:00 We interrupt this program. Previously, critics had brailed against the duo as crude, dumb, ugly, thoughtless, sexist, self-destructive, and foolish. They are not part of the legitimate business world. What they do is they celebrate underachievement. And all candor, I would tell you it's outrageous, Phil. And if I could find some way constitutionally to do away with it, I would. Art goes the mud. The mud.
Starting point is 00:00:49 Good morning. everybody, happy Thursday, September 24th. Smack goes the ass. 39 degrees outside of our Utica studio. 43 in Syracuse. Right. Chili. Yeah, dude.
Starting point is 00:01:05 36 up in Pond, 27 in Sarnak Lake right now. Woo! Gonna snow soon. Shut up there. Shut up your hooker mouth. Shut up. Shut up there. Shut up.
Starting point is 00:01:16 E! Shut up. Shut up. Shut. your mouth. Yeh. Yeah, it's chilly. It's chilly, man.
Starting point is 00:01:24 Ugh. I'm begging the youngest. He's going to this concert tonight. Please bring a sweatshirt. Please, you don't got to look cool. Or, you know what? You can do only so much. You can only do so much.
Starting point is 00:01:37 And then, like, dude. When you inevitably, he tries to lie when he gets home and you see his face to know that yes. You're cold? Yeah. No. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:01:48 You sit in a cold. I said up in freezing cold for three hours? No. You can go, uh-huh. Uh-huh. Next time you'll... Oh, dad. I'm going to put him in the car when I bring him and say,
Starting point is 00:01:59 you want him on. Or just be like, how about a compromise? Wear your fun little outfit that you kids wear with your thigh meat shorts and your sweater. Yeah. Swear sweater, at least. Well, because he's going to be going right from golf to the concert tonight, so he'll be in golf shorts and a polo and then...
Starting point is 00:02:18 It's fun. I'll be a parent. I'll be the one trying to get him to put out a sweatshirt, but you know how that goes. It's fine. It's not even... It's not even that cold. Good.
Starting point is 00:02:28 I'm only going to be standing by the lake in the dark. Yeah, I don't know how much I spent on my furnace last night because I woke up and the furnace was on, but I also had some windows cracked, so I was probably heating the outside all night. That's going to suck. Yeah, it keeps the house at least a little warm, you know what I mean? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:44 A little warm. How's everybody doing? I've been using the... Just that little mini fake fireplace. Nice. I love that still working for you. Was that the first dumpster find? Well, I used a different one that I got for Christmas. But, yes, that also still works.
Starting point is 00:03:00 And I think it was. I think that's the first gift that the dumpsters gave you. Lamps. Oh, okay. I had a plethora of some lamps almost immediately. All right. Like first day, I think, someone was throwing out lamps. And I was like, can I just have that?
Starting point is 00:03:17 I have no light. Yeah, lamps, but then I think the first, the one that you really debated, you were like, I found this thing by the dumpster, can I take this? Yeah. And then you did, and it's been. Then it was off. It's been off and running. Well, I was. The dumpsters are your loop crates.
Starting point is 00:03:32 I did a funny, like, rip over to the side yesterday coming back because there was a box laying in front of the dumpsters for like a 78-inch TV. so I could see it and when I saw it I just there was no one so I slammed on the brakes and pulled over real fast I was like is there an old 78 inch TV around here somewhere and I started just like a little squirrel looking in between every one of the dumpsters where is it? Is there out here somewhere? And then sadly going, oh, is it in the dumpster? No. Would you go in for a 78 inch TV? It depends. You're going to start diving?
Starting point is 00:04:12 Did you put it in the, throw it in the recycling one? Is it laying out of doily like George's declare? Because probably not. No. Because I just can't. And the sex torso. Mickey's right. You did find that sex torso in the dumpsters.
Starting point is 00:04:24 Her name is Melinda. Sorry, you and Melinda are very happy together. Thank you. Your living housemate Melinda. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. No, it's the loot crates.
Starting point is 00:04:34 The dumpsters are, they continue to give. I still have never thrown away that other shoe. Mine's sitting right there. I don't know what to do with it. The Super Nintendo Nike Jordan. I have to do with it. Well, ahoy, ho, ho, everybody. We are here on a Thursday live on a Thursday.
Starting point is 00:04:47 busy Thursday morning. We got a lot of stuff behind the scenes. We've got to do later today as well. Oh, but we'll hang with you. Keep your company this morning. Of course, Twitch.tv slash the show today. And then tonight, 7 o'clock Coco's back for a Cocoa Puffs. How do you do?
Starting point is 00:05:01 Tell you about that. Oh, my God. The amount of products you could show off, dude, I don't think. Yeah, right. I think I'm going to... I think you're pretty busy for the next several cocoa puffs. Right. Breaking into little categories or something.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Holy cow. The show.com for our links and live streams. Tonight, 7 o'clock. Cody goes live with so many weed products to show you from our Irmergur. Recent trips last Friday and then this past Tuesday, Monday night, Tuesday. I don't even know. All the days are blurring to do.
Starting point is 00:05:28 Lots to show you tonight, Cocoa Plus, 7 o'clock presented by Joe's Buds on Andagga Boulevard. And I was telling chat during the song there, if you were an alien and you landed in Syracuse, you would think we have a lot more championships for our basketball team than we actually do. You really would. You would think, wow, this is. Yeah. You guys must go to the fun.
Starting point is 00:05:46 on a four every year. Yep. Like how many? How many rings do you guys have? As apparently we're having our third S.U basketball mural go up. I mean. And I'm not taking anything to this guy's very talented. Chris B. Murray, very talented.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Look, cool. But we do other things. I got zero suggestions for you. I got no suggestions, but I'm sure we can put together a committee. Yeah, we'll put together committee. As we have in 2022, the legendary Syracuse first mural. went up on the six-story Monroe building, 333 East on Adaga Street. That's the one that has Brianna Stewart, Earl Lloyd, Jr., Dolfs, and Manny Breeland.
Starting point is 00:06:25 Okay. In 2025, this same artist, Chris B. Murie put Beheim. Yep, right behind us kind of. On West Fayette, 215 West Fayette Street to honor a longtime Syracuse University men's coach. And also features the JMA Wireless Dome. And then right now, Chris B. Murray is. putting up a mural on West Genesee and Clinton next to glaze and confuse called the SU goats.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Okay. It's a goat. It's a goat. Containing portraits of 25 to 30 legendary Syracuse men's and women's players, including Carmelo Anthony and Jerry McNamara. Love all of that. They're not bad. I think we're good on SU basketball murals for the town, okay?
Starting point is 00:07:14 Yeah. I think we've maxed out. I think we're all sad. We're good. We're good. Because when Flynn painted over his building, he put out that there was going to be an S-U-something mural on that wall. Yeah, there's something bigger and better. So we've got a fourth one coming.
Starting point is 00:07:27 Yeah. If we have a fourth S-U basketball mural coming. Right. Yeah, no, that one. Ooh! Wow. Wow. Listen, I know I sound like a curmudgeon, but I think we're good.
Starting point is 00:07:41 Just paint the side of this building to look like the court. Just keep, yeah. Just paint the cord on there. Wow, we have arrived in Syracuse. Your basketball team must be one of the best in the country. Actually, uh, well, you must at least be in the tournament every year. Without fail. Without fail. Actually, no.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Oh, you at least go and probably win the NIT then on the reg. Well, about that. You get great NBA stars all of the times. Ah, well, as a matter of fact, honestly, I'm shocked. There's not a whitesman mural. I'm honestly shocked by that. Well, a little bit. Wait for it.
Starting point is 00:08:18 Wait for it. Wait for it. Your town must love and support the team always. Actually. If they lose one game, we hate him so much. Yeah, you should, we got this football coach that this town already is just waiting. They turn on them, yeah. They're waiting for this Yukon game.
Starting point is 00:08:34 You must be so supportive of all your coaches. No, we love Jerry McNamara, but if he loses like two games, they're going to want him fired immediately, and they are mad about it. Oh. We're going to go right back. to where's Mike Hopkins? We're never happy. Yeah, we need a Ralphie mural, Cousin'J.
Starting point is 00:08:51 Now Cousin Jay's talking. All that makes sense. Now Cousin J's talking. I like that a lot better. A Ralphie mural, I love that. Italian flag draped on him. Or a mural of all the Central, like the Syracuse area legends. I'm not as plugged in as most, but I'm sure a committee could put together.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Right. People who have done things like who's the, I'm just going to say names. There's a guy that does that bike drive over at the fair guns. It's all those bikes for the kids. Right. There's that woman that does the backpack. driver every year. Like put together all these community people.
Starting point is 00:09:19 You could slap on there the guy that played the guitar downtown for all those years. Oh, yeah, yep, guitar. I mean, there's a bunch of random things. Why is his name about escaping? I don't remember any of their names. I don't remember anybody's names. Nah. Oh, I like Sugar's idea. What? Us. Yeah, put us in something.
Starting point is 00:09:36 Put us on a damn wall. So Mary Nelson, so Mary Nelson, she does the backpacks, guy that does the bikes over the fairgrounds. Put her picture on something. The, uh, John, who does me, in my father's kitchen going around and helping the unhoused. But this picture on something. And then Ralphie, obviously, I mean,
Starting point is 00:09:51 I'm sorry, it's a me. It's a me, Ralph. I'm saying, I'm sure you get a community together. You got a mural. You got a mural right there. You got any big, huge rocks we can chisel away to our own, like, Mount Rushmore? Ooh, and you want us on it?
Starting point is 00:10:07 Well, I mean, get Ralphie on there. Like, joking aside, Ted and Amy would deserve to be in a mural. They've been on the year for 35 goddamn years. Put them in the mural. Yeah, put them on a mural. Hmm. Okay. What about a fourth basketball mural, though? Let me tell you this.
Starting point is 00:10:23 Oh, now you're talking. Now you're talking. To design the Lexus ES, all we had to do was listen. Your ears said exactly where to put the speakers. Your eyes told us where to put the available head-up display. Hey, Lexus, find me an alternate route. Even your right foot helped out. It let us know you'd enjoy a little more torque. Turns out, you had a lot to tell us.
Starting point is 00:10:46 we certainly heard you the Lexus E.S. Not just for you, by you. See Burdick Lexus and Cicero Good morning everybody. E. Thir. You know how to play this on guitar?
Starting point is 00:11:16 Because you should. I should learn it. I should learn it. Same to style and everything. You got to make it sound like that. Longness is It's the extended version Good Beepip bit
Starting point is 00:11:33 Beet be a bit Beep beep beep beep beep beep Beep Beep I bring that up Because there is home There is home improvement news As Jonathan Taylor Thomas
Starting point is 00:11:47 Was arrested for obstruction of justice And public intoxication No JTT Following a traffic stop In which he was the passenger He was a passenger Oh no So who's
Starting point is 00:11:58 The only good one left is the youngest who just got all gothathi, right? Yeah, I don't know what that kid's been up to. Listen, not that I'm canceling JTT for a little booze in. Little booze in. He just got a little grumpy. He felt maybe, you was in Malibu. He shouldn't have been hassling him.
Starting point is 00:12:17 Jonathan Daler Thomas was arrested during a traffic stop in Malibu around 2.30 a.m. Cops approached a car that was blocking traffic because it had stopped at a greenlight. I'm just waiting for it, man. he began a Dewee investigation. JTT in the passenger seat was quote uncooperative. So what? I mean, JTT's from them streets.
Starting point is 00:12:40 That's the police. You know what I'm saying? He grew up. He grew up in the streets. In the hard streets of Detroit. He was at Detroit. Going to blinds games. Police say he ignored their instructions by getting out of the car and repeatedly approaching them.
Starting point is 00:12:54 That's how you get shot, JTT. When they tried to detain him, he kicked the deputy in the street. stomach. Oh. Jesus. JTT. Why?
Starting point is 00:13:03 I wonder what the issue was. I don't know. Is he, do you think he walked around being like a, do you know who I am? No, because he disappeared for forever. I thought that that was what we were doing, right?
Starting point is 00:13:14 Yeah, so I think it was like the opposite with him. So I don't know. Maybe he just had a bad night. Because Zachary Ty Bryan has also had several run-ins with the law and is currently behind bars for violating probation
Starting point is 00:13:28 on a domestic abuse case. Yeah. That you can't do. Boys. Can't kick a guy either. How you go to jail? What's like... Thought Tim and...
Starting point is 00:13:40 I thought Tim and... What's their nuts? Jill? Jail, yeah. Wait till Jail gets home, you guys. Wait till Jill gets home. Or the neighbor. Is Mr. Wilson the neighbor?
Starting point is 00:13:51 He's dead, though. I know. He is that Earl Hendeman. Yeah. But, I mean, now you have all... Give me all of your devices. Because now no more power. Oh, I get it.
Starting point is 00:14:03 There's more power. No more power. Their bedroom was so dope. Remember there one that one bedroom where it was like you went up a platform to get into your bed? Yeah, it was crazy. Sitcom bedrooms were so dope. Yeah. They don't exist in real life like that.
Starting point is 00:14:16 No. No. Not at all. Cousin Jay had a dope sitcom bedroom for a minute where like it was two rooms and you go up the stairs and it was like he had like a gaming area and then a bedroom area. Yeah, it's pretty dope. I mean, I had a dope bedroom, too, growing up, but I mean, like... Yeah, I had my own... Just Wilson, not Mr. Just Wilson.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Yeah, Wilson, yeah, just Wilson. Yeah. Yeah. Mr. Wilson is, uh... Mr. Wilson. Yeah, Dennis de Manus. Again, we don't remember things anymore, guys. Our brains have completely beat.
Starting point is 00:14:44 We help. Right there. We work each other through it. Team. Uh-huh. That show inspires me to work on some of my projects I do today, cousin Jay. Absolutely right. Who is the best sitcom bedroom?
Starting point is 00:14:55 Like, kids' bedroom. Chris explains it all had a great bedroom But it wasn't big It was just a normal bedroom Yeah, it was just cool But Sam could come through the window That was cool Hey Arnold's that a cool
Starting point is 00:15:04 He had a cool skylight Yeah That was dope There's one right on the tip of my tongue I didn't watch I Carley But wasn't her bedroom really cool I don't remember She had like a couch and stuff in there
Starting point is 00:15:18 Silver Spoons I didn't watch that either Silver Spoons had a train Had a train in there Oh oh no mind I was thinking like their bedroom was on a train, like the show was set on a train. I mean, like, in full house, he wasn't like a kid's room, but Uncle Jesse had the whole attic, and that was pretty dope.
Starting point is 00:15:37 That was. Like him and Rebecca had the whole top floor. They were kids. And they were young ones raising their little twins up there. They shoved a lot of people in that damn house. Yeah. Now I'm blanking, because there's definitely one I'm thinking of that was like, okay, that's a cool room. I mean, the girls' rooms in full house were, or not.
Starting point is 00:15:55 They were cool rooms. They were nice rooms. Just themselves. I don't think, do we ever see the family matters bedrooms? I don't remember them. I can't remember. I'm sure, but not. And if we can't remember them,
Starting point is 00:16:05 they weren't that oppressive. Yeah. I just remember when you're that age watching sitcoms and you see like a Zachry Ty Bryan's bedroom. Right. Darlene's room and Roseanne was huge. That was a huge room, remember? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:18 No, that I remember that. I forgot. Yep. That's true. Oh, punky Brewster at the treehouse, right? You've got a treehouse. Yeah, punky. You can live on a tree.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Don't live outdoors, punky. Get out of my house, you often. I'll adopt you, but you're going to be eating. What are some of the best sitcom bedrooms? Yeah, what are we missing? Sabrina the teenage witch. Do I remember that one? That was a good one.
Starting point is 00:16:42 Because, well, she could do magic in it. Yeah, since she was very magic. Yep. All right, here we go. BuzzFeed did an article on this. Okay. Morty Smith's bedroom from Rick and Morty? Well, just a normal junkie bedroom.
Starting point is 00:16:54 Yeah, but it's. I mean, again, there's magic involved, so I mean, anything could go down. So that one doesn't really count either. High school musical, I don't know. Riverdale? Do you watch Riverdale? My kid watches Riverdale. I do not. Bella Swan's bedroom and Twilight.
Starting point is 00:17:13 That's a movie. Yeah, I don't know that one either. Peter Parker's room and Spider-Man? Okay. All right, yeah. Yeah, any- Where are we getting into movies? Yeah, those are movies.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Any room where they took over? an attic. Yeah. Or in the basement. Tina Belcher's bedroom from Bob's Burgers? Pretty standard bedroom, but they also... Regular... Have fun up there.
Starting point is 00:17:36 I was going to say, uh, Louise's is just funnier because it's a closet. Regina George's bedroom and Mean Girls was a pretty dull bedroom because she was rich. My name is Regina George. Sounds exactly like her. Yeah, this is the list. Yeah, these aren't, these aren't, nothing's beaten the JTT bedroom. That's, yeah, that one really is like the best that I can think of. That one where they had the, like you were saying, the two beds,
Starting point is 00:18:02 either was that in the, was that in the basement? Where? The home improvement? No, because they'd go upstairs and then you'd walk in and you take a turn. Because I love that bedroom. Because the basement was cool too. Who was in the basement? They moved them down there.
Starting point is 00:18:17 I don't remember that bedroom. Because they wanted to get away from a, you know, because they had the three boys. Yeah, Regina George made her parents give her the big bedroom. And my name is Regina George. And my wife is saying what you're all saying too, Silver Spoons. I don't remember Silver. But they were rich. That's why.
Starting point is 00:18:32 Yeah. They were wide. I don't know, dairy girls. Oh, I do. That was a good show. Do you know this show? Zoe 101? I was too old for that.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Is that a Disney one? She has a good room, according to this list. A lot. Disney, yeah. Oh, um, uh, say by the bell. Whose? Like, they all had kind of cool rooms, right? Those are neat rooms.
Starting point is 00:18:55 Okay, good one. I'll give you that. Like, Zach had a kind of cool room, right? I Carly made the list, because if you don't know, I Carly, they had like multiple levels. No, I don't know that. Oh, okay. Kat Stratford's bedroom and ten things I hate about you. Hers was very brooding, very punk rock, a lot of posters.
Starting point is 00:19:12 All right. That's so Raven's bedroom. Oh, having a bedroom like that, dude, it's so Raven. That's so Raven. It really was. Did you see that drama about her and her wife? Her wife's kind of a bitch Oh really?
Starting point is 00:19:26 Her wife, I guess, did something So her wife's just trying to do that move Where she's like, no, I didn't know Who Raven Simone was before I met her And everyone's like, you didn't know Who Raven Simone is from the Cosby show From every single aspect of her life being on TV And then every time they do an interview
Starting point is 00:19:43 Like her wife kind of gets mad That they're acting like Raven is a bigger celebrity than she is Who is? Oh, she's... She's no one. Nobody. But she did something on kids' TV back in the day. So everyone's like, A, you were
Starting point is 00:19:59 in children's programming and you didn't know who Raven Simone was. B, you think you're a bigger star than Raven Simone. Shut up. Get out of here. Sorry. Bitchy wife. It's so rave. That's so raving. Anyways, hey Arnold was number two. It's just like the Ninja Turtles just count because I mean.
Starting point is 00:20:16 They're teenagers. That was pretty dope. Right? They are the teenage Ninja Turtles. Dr. And Josh, I don't know that well. We're talking bedrooms. Teenager bedrooms. The ones where they had to split. I love a teenager's bedroom. We're always pretty wild because they had to be big because, you know, we got all the five kids in these things.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Fresh prints, off-road says, on the chat room. Mm-hmm. What was his room? I can't remind. Why am I not budgeting it? I'm thinking of when Will moved out to the pool house. Oh, forget about it. That's the best one. He's right. I forgot that Will moved out to the pool house. He moved out to the pool house. That was the best teenager room because he was still in.
Starting point is 00:20:53 high school, right? Yeah. Did Carlton move out with him? They both live out there? I think, didn't they for a little while? Fresh French wins. They wanted to make it seem like. Offroad with a good call on that.
Starting point is 00:21:03 Yeah. When he had his own guest house. Oh my God. Boom. Winner. Absolute winner. Yeah. That's it.
Starting point is 00:21:14 7 o'clock on Twitch.tv slash the show or the show. Dot FM. The show too dangerous for radio because it's about cannabis. Oh, further. Further went off. Oh, we got the lights up. Closest is the last remaining one. We're watching the new lights.
Starting point is 00:21:27 They installed new lights across the studio. They're as bright as the surface of the sun, but they were very helpful this morning. And now they're all turning themselves off. Yes, I have a charcutory board of products this evening. Oh, it's going to be busy. You got weeks of content out of that last couple trips. So we're in second place.
Starting point is 00:21:48 And... Well, actually... Third place, guys. What are we even doing? The States with the best school lunches. Oh. That's pretty impressive. Now, there's a, I don't want to, I feel like I'm going to blow up a lot of, a lot of spots right now for kids.
Starting point is 00:22:08 Because I just watched my sister and brother-in-law learn this. My little nephew started, I think, kindergarten. Okay. And they were packing him a lunch or they were giving him money. And every day the lunch was coming home. And they're like, why? And he's like, I'm eating lunch at school. And they're like, well, but your lunch is here?
Starting point is 00:22:27 And you go, no, but you eat at school. New York State gives free lunches and breakfasts. Okay. You don't need to buy it anymore. Gotcha. That's pretty cool. I like that. Stupid damn libs want to feed kids with my money?
Starting point is 00:22:38 It's crazy. Uh-uh, Hulke, let him starve. This little out of pocket. So every year. Because we were, we fell for it too. Like my wife would put money on my kid's card. Yeah. And he was eating a lunch and then like buying chips and you're like,
Starting point is 00:22:53 oh yeah, we do free breakfast and lunch. in New York State. You're a little rascal. So, sorry to any kids that have been pocketing that money. You're not telling your parents we got free lunches. Right, there's a couple of the in the backseat of school being like, dude, shut off this radio show. What do you do it?
Starting point is 00:23:08 This radio show, kind of was fucking stupid. He should turn it off. My radio sock turned it off. He's a liar. He's a liar. Put back someone talking about the... That's every school. Not my school, though.
Starting point is 00:23:19 Put that podcast talking about Dunstan, Jason. You still got to give me $5 a day because that's a liar. Because my school don't do that. I don't give up for some stov. Vermont has been named the national leader when it comes to the best school lunch programs. Oh, cage-free farm fresh eggs, Vermont. Well, I would think everybody gets a pint of Ben and Jerry's up there, right? That'd be lunch.
Starting point is 00:23:40 That'd be awesome. You're telling me I could sit down and have a little cookie dough ice cream? They sponsor a couple schools, so they got a couple of those little sliding things at the end of every lunch line. Like, I'm having myself, a little Ben and Jerry. No, Ben and Jerry's got bought by private equity, and now they're fighting to get their name back. Do you ever follow any of that story? No. They got bought by one of the big ice cream brands.
Starting point is 00:24:01 Oh, no. And, of course, they're doing big corporation ice cream stuff, so the original Ben and Jerry are like, this sucks. We want to buy our company back. So maybe new current Ben and Jerry's might not do that. Well, maybe they shouldn't have seen the green color of greed. Now, our lunch is, our school lunch is still giving out cigarettes. Can you get a cigarette to finish up your lunch?
Starting point is 00:24:23 Like we used to in the 80s and 90s, you finish up your lunch and you head out to Park Street and rip a heater real quick. Bag of milk, cigarette. Carry your bag of milk out there. Wash down the cigarette when you're done. Vermont came in number one. Number two, New Mexico. What? Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:49 And then number three, New York. I like that. We did have good, I mean, I don't. We had good lunches. There was always good stuff that I kind of remember. I can't, I really can't remember that much. I mean, other than Mexican pizza, I got no recollection of school lunch. No, because what would-
Starting point is 00:25:07 Chicken patty maybe I would get? We got to a certain point where I brought lunch a lot. Like for a couple of years. I just liked being able to bring whatever a lot. My lunch was $1.10, and I remember that because every day, Bob would put $1.10 on the kitchen counter for me and my brother. I'd have $1.10 in my pocket to go buy lunch. That probably was the worst thing he had to do.
Starting point is 00:25:34 You might, you know what? I wonder how he felt about that. Every day. Because he's the cheapest human you're ever going to meet. Not that he didn't care about you guys. Not because, oh, these kids lunch lunch, not just because. My stupid mom probably made him. $1.10.
Starting point is 00:25:47 My mom may be, and then you add that up over a course of a week. Damn kids. That's $5.50. Yeah. Right? No, so that's $5.50 per kids. Oh, wow. Yeah. $11. He could be not putting towards anything.
Starting point is 00:26:00 $11 a week I got to pay to feed these stupid kids. Yep. And who knows that my brother was buying with that money? I was saving it up. Yeah, dime bags or whatever. Yep. I remember $1.10 on the kitchen counter. And then it made me up to $1.25, which I don't know, but $1.10 every day.
Starting point is 00:26:19 And then you go wait in line, you'd wheel and deal. Yep. I don't remember either. I just remember the little parts like that, but not like the food itself. Ken was poor enough to qualify for 25-cent lunches. Nice. Yeah. I remember those were you going to get breakfast.
Starting point is 00:26:35 Yeah, that used to be like a shame thing. Yeah, that's what happened. You're like, oh my God, he's so poor. Yeah. And that sucked. Yeah, I got called that several times. For having to get free breakfast? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:45 But I didn't. I'm glad they made it free across the board. Back then, that was one of those where it was like, I'm sitting in school eating some delicious breakfast food right now. What are you doing? Standing in the hallway. Yeah. Enjoy yourself.
Starting point is 00:26:57 Yeah, I'm getting a delicious breakfast right now. Kelly says my mom works in the kitchen at school I went to. In middle school, I'd get a free lunch because she would give me her free lunch. Ah, nice. That she would get for the day. Nice. That's a nice hustle. Which is a little crazy.
Starting point is 00:27:11 Mm-hmm. That, well, no, your kid can, even though they're right here in front of you. Don't be giving them free lunch. No. Feed the kids. Lottie, what do you mean Cooperstown opted out of free lunch two years ago? They opted out? I mean, I know it's by a district by district thing,
Starting point is 00:27:29 but how do you justify that? Are you out of money? Right, or, yeah, it's just, I don't know. They just said, no, we don't want to feed the kids. Was it a vote? Was it like a vote? Did it go to the polls? Right.
Starting point is 00:27:43 And the people of Cooperstown were like on their school balance. You want to feed the poor kids? No. No. Their parents, they're just right next to it. Boot. Absolutely not. Boot straps.
Starting point is 00:28:03 Suck it up, kids. Next Saturday. Because let's not forget, October is a week away from today. A week from today is October 1st. You know, bro. Next Saturday, we will be at Frightmare Farms up in Palermo, up in Oswega County. I'm so excited because it's my favorite thing we do
Starting point is 00:28:24 probably all year long. And you're not limping around. And I'm not loud. Don't say that. I have a whole week to wreck my ankles. You're not going. If you do something to hurt your ankle. I'll be walking extra careful.
Starting point is 00:28:36 Say, I'm putting you. You're going to, all right, then Nicole finds us the thing where he's in a coffin because we're not going to let him walk them. I got to do that. I just,
Starting point is 00:28:43 yep. That was my first haunt story back when I worked at Chingarian's. Oh, you were in a coffin? No, I was in a hay wagon. So the haunted hay ride would come around. This was when I was still in high school. Yeah. And it was a three-peat.
Starting point is 00:28:58 So it was my buddy. Colton was the stop before me. Okay. So I'd listen for Colton. Got you. And when the people would scream at Colton stop, I'd lay down in the hay wagon. And then the hay ride would come up. And right when it was by me, I would sit up really fast.
Starting point is 00:29:13 And I'd go, bring us your dad. And then the hay wagon would. And I would just follow the air wagon. I like it. And then the next stop. I'm scared now. I'm scared now. Who is it the next stop?
Starting point is 00:29:31 Vampire AJ. AJ dressed as a vampire. And he wasn't supposed to be, but he refused to take off his vampire costume. We were just listening to it. I was going to say, he was just wearing it from listening to that. I'm following you up to Vampire AJ where then he. Gotcha. I don't know what he did.
Starting point is 00:29:47 I think he had like a torch or something. Fire. We play with fire. I think a lot. Okay. So, by the way, I'm saying my haunting experience goes back to the 1900. I'm doing this since the turn of the century. Yeah, I'm trying to...
Starting point is 00:29:57 And next Saturday, we're back at Frightmare Farms. They open this weekend. Yes. Their big opening is on Saturday, the 26th. They're opening a little early because, you know, why not? Get it in there. So we'll be out there next Saturday. Get your tickets now.
Starting point is 00:30:09 Frightmare Farms online. I don't know what I want to do. I don't... I don't wear that same mask, which is fine. It's a good mask for me, but... I want to wait and see what, like, the themes are. and such and if she's gotten any ideas. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:26 You like going full makeup. Whatever they want to do. I like it just because I don't get that opportunity. So you want to cover me in blood and such. But my problem is that I get sweaty. So you got to be careful what you put on me. Because you sweat it off. Because if it's a mask that's going to be full sweat.
Starting point is 00:30:46 If it's makeup, it better be something that can, you know, stand the sweat. And yeah, if we're inside, you might. be sweatier in there. That's what I mean. So we'll see. Because I like the one of a ride. I like it too, but we've done it last three years. And that, that I like that little, like when we were there that one time, it was like a
Starting point is 00:31:04 Corridor of the house. Mexican village or something. Remember that? On the hayride still. It was either before us or after. I remember the cabin. Oh, yeah, I do. Everything's real close.
Starting point is 00:31:13 Like something there might be, but. Hayride doesn't, it's harder to. Oh. Oh. Boss lady asked me last night. She goes, even though I don't work anymore. Can I come out with you guys a fridaymer? Oh, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:31:25 You can hang on this a fright mare. You know, yeah, because it is nice to have, like, somebody help. The bad news, and your guys aren't going to like this story, I'm not going to attempt to live stream it this year. It never works. It's always a headache. It doesn't.
Starting point is 00:31:37 It doesn't work. I'm stressed about it all night, so you just got to come see us in person. I'm not going to live stream. It just doesn't do. I feel like it's a waste of their time sometimes. Yeah, like you're not really seeing anything. It's dark.
Starting point is 00:31:50 When the time the sun goes down, he can't go down. If some reason, you know, ahead of time, she's like, you're going to be in a really cool room with lights. But as of right now, I'm not planning on live stream. Just come see us live. Or just I'll bring that one camera.
Starting point is 00:32:06 Yeah, the one in your house. I have. Connect to me, Bo. Set it up. You're done. Oh, it doesn't work. Nope, that's it. Yeah, we'll see.
Starting point is 00:32:12 So I'll let you know. But anyways, it's scarier if you come. Disney and Hulu raised their prices again. That's what she said. I don't know how much longer we're going to put up with this. Because I'm getting over it. Well, it's, you can't do it every other month. You're raising your, like, I'm not doing this anymore.
Starting point is 00:32:32 And just be like, well, you know, fees. What? Then stop it. What are you doing? It's self-inflicted these companies. You're the one in charge. All right. Here's how a budget works, Disney, from the idiot on the morning radio show.
Starting point is 00:32:48 You have this much. money to spend on shows. That correlates with how much money you're bringing in. And then you have a little bit of profit on top. If you're spending more money to make these shows, then you're bringing in, maybe you're making too many shows. Yeah. Maybe you've got to look at what you're making.
Starting point is 00:33:07 Because this is, you're right, it's getting ridiculous, especially where you've got ones that are failing, upping their prices, like ESPN with their unlimited thing with the whole deal with the WWE. that is a failure. Why? Everyone hates it. They do. They like the peacock better? It's just how much you have to spend on everything. We had a good system.
Starting point is 00:33:29 You had your fans loyal and average and sometimes all subscribing because it cost originally like 10 bucks to get everything. And you had a bejillion people doing it so you're making money. So the CSPN one being, you know, every single people. pay-per-view is what it is, and, oh, you got to pay more for this, and nobody was watching it, and their numbers on went down, and ESPN wasn't happy, and T-K-A was unhappy, and W-D-W-E's like, we don't know what the answer to that was a month ago,
Starting point is 00:34:01 raise them prices. Raise the prices up. Raise them prices. Well, the bundle of Disney Plus Premium and Hulu Premium went up by $2 from 1999 to $21.99 per month. Unreal. Or you can watch it with ads for just $12.99 a month, I guess. Which, it's not bad, but an episode of Monday Night Raw, if it's like a two-hour, two-and-a-half-hour thing, has anywhere from nine to 12 ad stops. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:34:33 No joke. Whoa. Nine to 12 times. Wow. They'll stop. And how they'll make up for it is, well, we're still on. We're just, whoops, a little smaller for a little bit. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:34:45 And I get it. We're in a business that you got to something. ads. We get it. Totally get it. Got to sell ads. But something's unbalanced. If you've got to like Cody said every other month, once a year I'll give you a pass. If you sat down and went, eyeballs.
Starting point is 00:35:00 But it's like every month I get an email, we're raining I'm rice. YouTube TV does it. Hulu and Disney do. Everybody does it. And again, especially the ones that are failing. Like Peacock, you lose things on the regular. No one of the B stuff. You lost all. I mean, they have the paper use for now, or the
Starting point is 00:35:16 old stuff. But like you can't do all of that and then go Yo, we're going to raise that prices. Yeah, exactly. Tert and chat. I remember when I can get 10 bans or 10 bucks. Not anymore. You can't. Not anymore.
Starting point is 00:35:26 Netflix is still the most expensive, though, coming in at $26.99 a month. More than $4 more than the HBO Max to here. Wow. I have HBO Max because it comes with my cell phone. So AT&T gives me HBO Max. I have Apple TV because it comes with my Apple storage. And then I happily pay for Netflix
Starting point is 00:35:46 because I do feel like Netflix puts out pretty good stuff. They like comedy specials. There's good comedy specials. They're pretty good. They seem pretty consistent. I mean, that's a little ridiculous. I don't know what am I going to do with Paramount? Worst one.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Worst one. Same. Disney and Hulu. I think I have Disney for like some ESPN games, but I'm not going to keep paying for it. Every once in a while, I'll find something on Hulu where I'm like, oh yeah. Okay. But, I mean, again, it's this and it's this. and this or what, or
Starting point is 00:36:17 you find something, you're like, ah, canceled. Mm-hmm. You bet you did one season of it. Cousin Jay knows a friend that just bought three devices that gives you all the channels for much lower price, Sunday ticket, red zone, MLB, all the shows, all pay-per-view, all movies, and so much more. This friend is very excited.
Starting point is 00:36:33 Oh, is the best thing that everyone uses? Yeah, weren't they hawking those at the fair? Oh, really? Yeah, you'd go, like, the booth, like the fair was some. Those are all over the place now. Oh. It's, I mean. This is what you've done. Well, don't be mad at us for pirating things when you've driven us to do it. But you know what that means, don't you?
Starting point is 00:36:48 What? That means that it's coming. If they're already doing it on the pirate level, then you know that the bigger companies are also working on it. We've been saying it for a decade. That's what I mean. We're going to repackage cable and tell us to us. It was our, like our, as me and you here on the show.
Starting point is 00:37:05 It's our most thing that when I first start here that we started talking about, and we're like, don't worry in about 10 years, you're going to be like, wait a minute. minute. I don't know if this was like... And they're gonna. I don't know if this was like the billionaires plan all along. To trick us in this long-term work, they've been working on us. I wouldn't be surprised. All right, our numbers, what can we do?
Starting point is 00:37:29 What we do? What if? And they had probably had it all on a big old storyboard like a movie. All right, we just split up all of us. We'll keep making the money. We'll circle back. Because what we're going to do is we're going to make everybody pay for us individually. And then they'll get comfortable.
Starting point is 00:37:44 But little by little, Pay in 200 a month for all their subscription fees And then we'll just say, hey, for 175 a month Because they won't even Resell them the package They won't even notice that will Every once in a while, like hey, hey, Bill, I know that your network is lesser.
Starting point is 00:38:00 You're going to be with me. Yeah, right. You won't even tell anybody, but don't worry, stars. You're going to be on our. Yeah. I only pay for corn cob TV. It's all I care about. That's your problem.
Starting point is 00:38:11 Is you're spending your viewing time watching stuff from your childhood I know. Instead of getting new shows lined up. Some of those in your house papers were so good. The first one ever I was at. It took place here in Syracuse. Whoa, that's right.
Starting point is 00:38:22 That's the Bradhart moment, though. When he didn't give you the glasses? When he looked, looked right at me, as far as I know, he's wearing the glasses, looked right at me, walked right up to me. And then the kid right next to me. Right. The little bastard kid. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:38 So if you're the kid that got the Brett Hart glasses in 1994 or what about it? 1996, May. or is it 95, 96, May, whatever, it was Mother's Day. And you're listening? It was the infamous snowed on Mother's Day. That was that one. So if you're that kid, Cody hates you to this day, just so you know you're a grown adult by now. It's probably the reason I have like four pairs of this signed someplace.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Yeah, I want to meet you. I want to put you and Cody in the room together. Put the working. I'm going to put working on it. Got to put in work today. I'll be in solitary. No, they don't just put you in solitary. That's not how that works.
Starting point is 00:39:09 You've got to do something to get in there. And then you're asking if I watched a Willie Wonka game show in chat. I have it, but I will watch that. I do, I do too. I want to watch it too. But you won't. This is what I'm arguing with him about it. He's got a log of shows that he needs to watch.
Starting point is 00:39:24 Yeah, but Halloween Havoc, WCW. But then, yeah, at the end of the day. They put all of those on their YouTube channel. At the end of the day, when he could just sit down and watch one of these new things, he inevitably chooses a money in the bank from 1998 or something. They didn't have it then. Oh, all right. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:39:41 Sorry. God. He will. No, I like doing that. whatever season it is for whatever pay-per-view is coming up. I like to watch some of the old ones. I know you do. And I can't be mad at you because I'll do that too.
Starting point is 00:39:53 Sometimes you just want a comfort thing in your brain. Yeah. And that's just comforting. Yep. I like put like the, the WWE YouTube channel has a 24-hour live stream of all that. Like I don't need to seek anything on. Just bring it up.
Starting point is 00:40:05 Yep. And it'll have something on. Because I'll put that on the YouTube TV's got a random channel where there's just old like TNA and that. type crap where I'm just like, I don't know, I didn't watch as much of this. Or WWW rivals. Right, let me just put this on. I didn't, I didn't catch a lot of this. Just have it on in the background or whatever.
Starting point is 00:40:22 And I find myself catching a lot of, like, oh, I forgot that I liked this match so much. Let's see. Let's see what's running. Oh, right now on the WW network. What is that? On the WWI live stream. One Sammy Zane and a huge crush landing at staring at. Best of Sammy Zane is running right now. This is a smackdown.
Starting point is 00:40:45 Him and Mello don't miss. This is pretty recent. Yeah, this is what they do. I like that. So just put random content on their YouTube channel if you're into that stuff. That's cool. That's cool. That's also true.
Starting point is 00:41:01 I'll be able to watch more stuff soon because it'll be getting chillier and it won't be as much adventuring. I think it's a decision paralysis thing too because you're not having to make a decision. If you make no decision and just watch something you've done, already seen. Boom, it's right there. Then I have no guilt to feel. Yep. Well, this has to change the nickname I was going to give you, I guess.
Starting point is 00:41:22 Uh-oh. A routine hospital trip became an unexpected fast food delivery for one couple. When they gave birth to their son Cody in the passenger seat. That's my name. While pulling into a KFC parking lot. Yo! Because of the birth location, they have nicknamed him Colonel Cody. Uh-huh. They call the emergency.
Starting point is 00:41:43 services spotted a nearby KFC pulled over just in time to catch the baby himself. Oh, geez. It pooped it out right there. Because Commander Cody is that band. Yes, it is. Man, fellas. Fellas and ladies. Let me ask you a question.
Starting point is 00:42:01 Do they just shoot out like that? No. Like it's a bar of soap? God. As a father and a husband, I would step up and do what this man did. deliver the baby. I don't know. I don't know what kind of trauma I'm going to get off that.
Starting point is 00:42:19 There's a reason I wanted to do catch a live birth like an animal. I never mentioned a baby. I don't want to catch a baby. As the father, as the husband, I would have to step into that role, but I'm not going to like it. Because some,
Starting point is 00:42:32 you got to like elongate their head and yank out with those with the tongs, right? I don't know, dude. You're asking me, I'm way above my skis on this. Stuck in the giner, grab me the tongs, and you yank it out. And then, right? And then that's why their heads are like, oh, they're going to go back to normal shape.
Starting point is 00:42:46 My role was to hold a leg, tell her everything's going to be okay behind a curtain. You did? I think they just do that. No, it's like this. You're like, hold it like this. You're like, eh, it's going to be okay. It's great down there. It's great down there.
Starting point is 00:43:00 There's a baby for sure. There is. There's definitely, well, it's not a false alarm. No, somebody. I could do it if I had to do it. And I would just hope that my brain would do that thing. where it wipes away all the bad images and thoughts. I close my eyes, put my hands,
Starting point is 00:43:18 because it's, you know, if you're catching your own wives, I just go, I get all icky. You just put your, go, all right, okay, I'm touching your thing, and then I just close my eyes and, okay, go ahead. Yep, you're doing great. Everything's doing great. Poop it out. Yep, I'm doing great.
Starting point is 00:43:35 And then you just wait for the pressure to change in your forearms and hands and arms. All right, now I'm holding a baby, and then you're good. And then you're good. And then you're- The next sign's right. If you're at a KFC birthing a child, whatever trauma you go through will be lessened by the bucket of colonel's original afterwards. Especially if it's
Starting point is 00:43:50 a Wednesday because a lot of them are doing these crazy deals on Wednesdays where you get like full buckets of varieties for like 10 bucks. Finger licking good, bud, wash up, get yourself some chicken. Wash up before finger licking good. Mm-hmm. If I could give one bit of a vice. I helped pull the second one out the rest of the way.
Starting point is 00:44:06 It was awesome. I don't know if it was awesome, Pudgy's wife. I don't know if it was awesome. Like if you just leaned down there? Like you were, I don't want to think, you know what? Like you were, you were quarterback and the center? Aye, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, ah. One week from October, and tonight, oh, ooh, I'm already in spooky season. Cocoa Pops will be live on our stream tonight, Twitch.
Starting point is 00:44:39 This is TV slash the show. Spooky Puffs. The show.com, jump in there. He's a scary show. Too dangerous for the radio because it's about weed drugs, and we got plenty to show you on tonight show. You're talking scared of you
Starting point is 00:44:51 two of your bones. We're talking dive bars in chat because the Western Ranch is going to close apparently Wally Gorecki has sold it.
Starting point is 00:44:58 Yeah, that looks like that one of those low-key spots that everyone knew did that like that. The hotel off 690 you see the sign all the time.
Starting point is 00:45:05 They did the clams thing every once in a while. I guess they had great wings. Yep. People have great stories from the hotel. We had a real fun K-Rog-Fon pre-
Starting point is 00:45:15 You had a pre-party over there. I used to work with his, I don't know if his cousin's sister, but Janice, I used to work with her. It's the spot, man. It's legendary for those of us of growing up around here. He's going to sell it to a brilliant businessman, Lu Santero, who is the most brilliant of all businessmen. Brilliant. Amazing.
Starting point is 00:45:36 He's going to turn that into an extended stay motel for like the truckers and stuff. Okay. But the kitchen and bar is going up the road to what is it? Wally's Belvedere. Wallis Belvedere right there on State Fair Boulevard. And I didn't know what that name was that place was until we looked it up. Another dive bar. Another dive bar.
Starting point is 00:45:55 That's, I was saying it's crazy growing up in Syracuse and the surrounding areas, whole lives, the random places that you just come across where you're like, wait, what is this? I love it. What are you? I love it. I wish I was more of an outdoor kid that could go out of adventures because I love dive bars. It's how I I love bars with personality.
Starting point is 00:46:19 It's how I discover a lot of places that have wings along the way for Elsa and I when we do adventures because you just see a place and you're like... I love it. I mean, just rolling real quick. Some places are a little sketchy and you kind of just...
Starting point is 00:46:32 Some places you don't want to eat food at, but that's okay. There's been... Give me a can of beer and I'll sit here. Well, yes, there's been numerous places where I walk in expecting to grab some wings or whatever and then I'm like, oh boy.
Starting point is 00:46:43 No. Oh, boy. No, I love a hole-in-the-wall dive bar. They're my favorites. I don't get out and about as much as I'd like to. Cody was talking about how he would just go on drives, and you discover, like, dudes' garages that are also bars. Right, where you're like...
Starting point is 00:46:58 That's like the caboose in East Syracuse. That's just open. Yep. Just it's like, oh, it's mostly for our street and a little cove here. Yeah. Come on. That's how Lil's was up in Oswego, man. It was just Lil and her husband in there,
Starting point is 00:47:11 and it'd be you and, like, two other patrons, and it was in a house. It was a bunch of places that have just a nice little atmosphere. I was trying to track down because I talked a couple weeks ago about that mural were on the wall of the local bar. Showbrough sent that into us. I tracked it down. It's in the history. It looks so, I want to go to this place.
Starting point is 00:47:32 They say the historic? It's historic. It's in the historic Conrad Hotel. It was initially the Conrad Hotel. Then they renamed it the Coomrod Bar. I guess. Okay. And it's just known for like quirky music and being a dive bar and it's open like on the weekends.
Starting point is 00:47:55 I'm sorry, where is it? Pratt's Falls. Oh, that's what I felt. 4120 Pratt Road. Shout out the Coonrod, a legendary historic dive bar and former hotel in Pratt's Falls. People that look like us are painted on the wall. Oh, yeah. And I reached out to the guy who was like, can I go visit this?
Starting point is 00:48:12 he goes, he's open like random hours. And that's my kind of bar. That's awesome. Very funny. Or it's like, oh, yeah, bars close because so-and-so had to go to a wedding. Those are my kind of bars. Yep. That's great.
Starting point is 00:48:26 What are some great dive bars we still got in Central New York? There's few and far between, man. It's not cheap to run a bar. I bet we'd get a huge list of just so many places. What's your favorite dive bar? I feel like I want to go see some of these. In, like, I'm trying to think of a couple just off the travels. Phoenix, we got bombers.
Starting point is 00:48:49 We've had bombadills. Yeah, that's our dive bar. But then we get a little class here with Duskies. Like, you know, we got lock one out there. But Bombers has always been our townie bar. Yep. I sneak in and out of moon dance quite a bit over by me. Just because it's right at the end of that, like when you're over it by a Tiscoe Lake,
Starting point is 00:49:06 just that road that takes you out. It's right at the end. It's super convenient. It's right there. pop in, bring the stuff out. Joe says McSweeney's in Indian Lake. Okay. He says Richland Hotel.
Starting point is 00:49:18 Tom says Tiki Bar. Rockies. Rockies and Liverpool behind heights. That's where we did the infamous... We love Rockies. The infamous Dunes. What was that? The Chilling Fess.
Starting point is 00:49:29 She destroyed everybody. Oh my God, Dunes. Like nobody's ever seen the most impressive thing. I've never been more turned on in my entire life. To watch a woman eat that many chicken wings? It was amazing. I don't want chicken I just like people watching at a dive bar
Starting point is 00:49:46 You just sit there Yeah People come and go They got all these life stories Oh And it's just It's not a It's got a vibe
Starting point is 00:49:54 Yeah And it's not a Nothing there's nothing wrong with Going to a packed Downtown bar Sure Sure sure sure But they're never like
Starting point is 00:50:02 Packed And if they are It's in a good way Where you don't feel like It's asses to elbows And I'm stuck between Nice It's people with stories
Starting point is 00:50:10 Yeah People with lay They want to talk about it. Screaming Eagle and Inlet almost feels too nice to be called dive bar. Yeah, that's why I didn't want to say moon dance because it's not a dive. Right. It's a very nice place with a super sick back little deck there. But in the sense of, you know, it's not a big fancy whatever.
Starting point is 00:50:32 If you want to get over to the Western Ranch and celebrate the hotel one more time. Their last day is the 27th of October, it says in this. And Screaming Eagle, they got it anymore. room. Screaming Eagle? I couldn't go the last time I was there. It was two packed. Yeah, you were there peak season, though.
Starting point is 00:50:48 You got to go a little off season probably. Yeah, but it was the middle of the week. Jumping Joe's in East Syracuse back in the day. Jumping Jacks. Jumping Jack, sorry. That Frank, that was where Frank went? What was Jumping Jacks like? I don't even how to describe it.
Starting point is 00:51:01 It was like a biker bar. Okay. Kind of. And it was just like a towny. Love it. Biker bar. I love it. If you talk to anybody from the,
Starting point is 00:51:11 East Syracuse area that's older, because my age, it was, it was, it's closed now. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah. It's where Twin Trees, that little section is right there. It was right in there. There's a little hole. That's where that was. But if you talk to anybody older, they'd be like, oh, oh, yeah, there's jumping jacks.
Starting point is 00:51:28 And they'd say it like that. Marble Hill Inn and Cheryl. Have we been to Marble Hill Inn? Why does that sound familiar? Did we do something there? That sounds familiar. Hornets nesting Fayetteville or buffoons and manliest on that side of town. Oh, sorry.
Starting point is 00:51:41 Drink it. Hornets Nest. Top-notch. Good? Hornet Nets. Crossroads in East Syracuse. Crossroads. No other one. Is Golden Spike Dive or not really?
Starting point is 00:51:51 You know what? I would call, no, I would call Golden Spike Dive. I mean, the back they got a little rest area or a rest area. Yeah. A restaurant. But the front, that bar is small and dive-ish. Altmar Hotel up in Al-Mar. We had a great chicken parm there.
Starting point is 00:52:06 They got great food up there. Honestly. Not that I've, I unfollowed, blah, blah, blah, blah. I have probably a couple of from the quest. They are still like the most front and center of all the quest for the biggest things we did. I see their chicken parm every week. Yeah. Because I just stare at it and go, I'm going to get you.
Starting point is 00:52:25 I want it. It's so big. I'm going to get you again someday. It's so big. Stingers bar and Remsen. Doghouse. I don't know where the dog house is. I'm screaming. You guys had the Good Life in Camden.
Starting point is 00:52:35 I like, what's Dan's Chicken Shack? Where's that? Because I like anything that's called a chicken shack. Mm-hmm. Midnight Temptations. Yeah, well, I don't know what kind of bar they are now. I haven't seen what they're like. Yes, it is it?
Starting point is 00:52:48 The former Ousaw. Is it switched over and open and all that? Is it up and running? I think he's running it. I've driven by and people are out and about. It looks nice. They painted the building. I don't know what the inside looks like.
Starting point is 00:52:58 All right, all right. Yeah, he's a, that guy's doing some good work to flip that around. I like all these. Look on these little dive bars. Joe just says Marble Hills and a dive anymore. They cleaned it up. Oh. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:53:08 There were a couple in Brewerton that are, that are there now that they weren't when I was there. So, I mean, they're everywhere. Yeah. What's your favorite dive bar in your neighborhood? Everyone's got one. What's yours? I want you to meet our new friend, Mike.
Starting point is 00:53:23 We're chatting about wrestling right now. But Mike actually does more important work than talk about wrestling. You are. I mean, a gas phone. Hey, hey. Mike is the town of Salina veterans outreach lead, right? This is what you work on in the town of Salina? Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:53:36 That's it. So what does that mean? You say you're missing a Vietnam vet breakfast this morning. You do a lot of activities like? that. I'll give a shout out to Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 103. Every Thursday morning for over 30 years, they've been meeting
Starting point is 00:53:49 at the market diner off Park Street. Wow, cool. A group of guys, I tell you that that war was tough. Yeah. I've been to jungle operations training not once but twice, and I tell you what, there's one place you don't want to fight a war, and that's in a jungle. Yeah, I bet, man. And they were told
Starting point is 00:54:05 to go. Yeah, and they were 18, and they were kids. So, absolutely. Terrible, terrible. So it's great that you're doing all these things. You're here because about a week ago, a veteran received a roof on behalf of an organization that works with them. I know top tier roofing put the roof on. Tell me about what happened for Robert Baum. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:54:24 So I got a random call, which I do a lot of times for different things, from the VA hospital. I'm asking if I know a veteran that needed a roof. So I said, absolutely. I have about 1,200 in my town area with more. living in apartments, but 1,200 on the books. And, you know, I'm kind of nested with them. So I know who needs what in the area for the most part. And Robert Baum, great guy, served just over 20 years.
Starting point is 00:54:54 It was definitely in need of a roof. And so I reached out to top tier, worked through a lady named Jen there in the office. And we started sending paperwork back and forth. I was talking with Robert, getting some information they needed from him. and, you know, one thing led to another. He got approved for this grant for New Roof. And it started with Purple Heart Homes.
Starting point is 00:55:19 Okay. John Galena and the late Dale Beatty, you know, grew up as high school friends, joined the military together, and then subsequently deployed in 2004, where they hit a, or they struck an anti-tank mine and were injured. the late Dale Betty was lost both his legs took about a year and a half to recover in Walter Reed got home found his house
Starting point is 00:55:46 wasn't conducive to his injuries or his disability so the town came together some local contractors built his house for him he was so grateful that he said how do I do this for other veterans and that's how Purple Heart home started
Starting point is 00:56:00 it was Owens Corning that jumped on board and they work with their platinum preferred roofing contractors which is top tier roofing and Joe Serio, they came together and Owens Corning provides a product, Joe provides labor, and they got it done.
Starting point is 00:56:18 So when I found out about this, I did my homework, I started looking up top tier and what they were all about. Man, five-star reviews. Right on, yeah. Through Yelp, Google, you look for them,
Starting point is 00:56:29 you're going to find them. One multiple awards. So when I first, when I was going to first meet Joe, it was kind of a little intimidated. Like, man, this guy's got it going on. Yeah. But boy, more down-earth.
Starting point is 00:56:40 You've met a more down-door person than Joe Serio. And I love his model. The proof is in the roof. They got there early morning. By the end of the day, the roof was on, and the project was complete. And it's one less thing for Robert Baumnev have to worry about. Absolutely. I guess it was this, he said, on the news, it was his 43rd wedding anniversary.
Starting point is 00:57:00 So it was his wife, happy anniversary. Yeah. No, but it's great that you're doing these things because, you know, we know veterans. We talk with a lot of veterans. and they come back and they may not have all the resources they need, you know? That's correct. And they just seem to be forgotten a lot of times because either they're living by themselves or they're in apartments. It's you got to keep them in the conversation.
Starting point is 00:57:20 Absolutely. You know, and I run into a lot of veterans that'll say, well, I only did two years. Sure. And I said, wait a minute. I said, that's still less than 1% of the population that has served. And I said, so that only two years you did is a lot. Yeah. So, but those guys might not be entitled to certain things.
Starting point is 00:57:37 things. Okay. But they were still a veteran to me. Yeah. So we go on above and beyond to get things done. I do want to give a couple shoutouts. J-Dog Hauling is a guy that Aaron Powell, the owner, he works and clears out estates. We'll find things, whether it be furniture, ramps is a big thing for adaptive, for housing.
Starting point is 00:57:59 And he takes these things back to his place, and then he'll reach out to us veterans and say, hey, who's looking for this. Yeah. So the network is great. especially at the town level. Like I said, I'm nested very well with the different veteran organizations in my community. But I don't just sit in the town of Salina. I'll work with any veteran. It's kind of what my first boss told me in charge with.
Starting point is 00:58:23 He says, look, it doesn't matter if the vet's from Alaska. Help. Yeah, yeah. So I can do what I can. But I'm so passionate about this position that I actually went and spoke to two other towns, town of Van Buren and town of Lyons. Sander, and they created a greater Bolinsville veteran outreach. Oh, that's great.
Starting point is 00:58:41 So it's growing. I'd love to see a veteran outreach coordinator in every town in America. Yeah. You'll see a lot of the American legions and VFWs are starting to close, along with other organizations, a civilian organization is, is doing other things. The greatest generation, right, is now past, most of them. So those great numbers we had in the past, if for veterans has dwindled. But, yeah, I do what I can for our people.
Starting point is 00:59:07 veterans. And it's the, the veterans need a community. They come back and like you said, less than one percent of the population can relate to anything they did. I have close personal friends that served for a couple of years. I can't relate to the story she tells me because I didn't live through that. So they need each other and they need to find each other and maybe they don't know where to find each other or the resources they need. How can people get more information, Mike? But where do they start? So I do have a website on the Salina pages, veteran outreach. You can find me there.
Starting point is 00:59:40 Go to your local veteran organization in your town, either a VFW or an American Legion. I'll give a shout out to Maddie Dale VFW. Bingoes on Thursday. Nice. Nice. But yeah, we're out there. Come find us. We'll help you out as best we can.
Starting point is 00:59:59 We have the Veterans Parade coming up at the New York State Fairgrounds, right? That's correct. Parade and Expo. All right. I'll be tabling that as well. So can somebody reach out to you if they maybe want to help? launching their organization and their community, maybe the community lacks a veterans organization?
Starting point is 01:00:11 Absolutely. They can call me. I have my work number is 315-882-6346. And email address is M-Heart at salina. dot-noy. U.S. Okay. There's all the info.
Starting point is 01:00:27 Mike. You're doing great work, man. We appreciate you. Thank you once again, top-tier roofing for making that happen. Any questions, reach out to Mike. If you want to get a veterans organization started your neighborhood, that'd be a great thing to do.
Starting point is 01:00:36 Mike Hart, thank you so much for stopping him. Thank you for all you do. Absolutely. Top-tier roofing. The proof is in the roof. What? It just made me think when he said, where is this and that museum?
Starting point is 01:00:54 It's just full of trinkets. What are you talking about this? In that song. It's on this and that museum. They sell trinkets. Yeah, this and that museum. We got a little trinkets, little shelves. There you go.
Starting point is 01:01:04 A little this and that museum. Oh, hoi. Happy Thursday. Coco puff tonight. 7 o'clock Twitch. dot TV slash the show or the show. dot FM. All right.
Starting point is 01:01:15 Come get a smoke smoke. What's for dinner tonight, bud? What are you going to do? Oh man, I don't even know. After the big cocoa puff show or before it. See, I don't know. I don't. I have some ground beef. You want grilled cheese? You're the grilled cheese?
Starting point is 01:01:28 You don't like grilled cheese? I mean, not really. I like a couple bites. And then that's really it. Then I, uh, I don't think you're going to like this. As sports arenas do this where they make up like silly foods. Oh, God, it's like their favorite thing to do. But also, like, foodie nerds are saying this is good.
Starting point is 01:01:48 The Islanders are selling a grilled cheese filled with nerds gummy clusters this season. I'm showing photos. I'm showing the photo on Twitch and YouTube. Now, this lady, this cheese monger, apparently says this is a good combination. No, I can, in my head, I can see what they're doing because people did do fancy, grill cheeses do like Gummy nerds clusters? But think about like they do like the blueberries
Starting point is 01:02:18 in the in cheese and stuff so it's fruit. One of the cheeses that I tried with it was Bree. But here's why this pairing works. Bree has a very creamy texture and flavor wise. It's slightly salty and a bit buttery. Traditionally, Bree loves sweet
Starting point is 01:02:35 and tangy. So think of the nerds clusters as almost raspberry jam. When combined together, it's almost like eating buttered toast with a raspberry jam. I mean, okay. I can see your point there. Yes, but I just don't.
Starting point is 01:02:49 I don't want it. No. And it makes me mad because I can just picture her just using when I'm a little microphones to talk into. Just talking about cheese monger stuff. Lottie and Chad. Is this the same girl that drink toilet water? It's tangy.
Starting point is 01:03:03 Yeah, no, I like that. No, I like that you yourself that like a cheese burr or a grilled cheese. I like that you can use them for like buns for your cheeseburger. and stuff like that. I do love a cheeseburg. What are the patty melts is what they call? I love a patty melt. I first saw that at Tullies.
Starting point is 01:03:21 The paddy mouth? Years and years and years ago where they had two grilled or grilled cheeses as the buns. Got a couple of buns for you right now. I would try that though. I would take a bite just to see because that sounds interesting. Although I don't know about Bree. I don't like Bree. Bree is not my cheese.
Starting point is 01:03:36 I know. I got kind of a baby mouth when it comes to cheeses. I don't. There's like five cheeses I like. See, luckily cheese. I'm better. with her, but I just, the ones I don't like, I don't like. I've tried a bunch of goat cheese.
Starting point is 01:03:47 I don't like blue cheese. I see, I like blue cheese. I don't like, like a, like, a, like, Bree like that isn't my jam. I like cheddar. I like American. I like Mooselle. I like that. Hevardi, I like.
Starting point is 01:04:01 Like, Greer. Gere. I like that. Yeah. No, I like a lot of those. The sharper, the better. Mm-hmm. I like a nice sharp cheese.
Starting point is 01:04:08 Like the Tillamook brand. Yep. Yep. That's a good one. I like a good, a nice sharp. Orp. Ogre says, Bree on a bacon burger is decadent.
Starting point is 01:04:16 Oh, is decadent. Oh, extravagant. Here is your schedule of events. So much going on with events. So write it down with the pens and papers. Right now,
Starting point is 01:04:27 you're going to listen to the 90s and 9. It's going to kick off with rage against the machine. Right. Gaming stream. Yeah. Bucks, Vikings. Cody is the Vikings. I am the box.
Starting point is 01:04:35 Where is it? I don't know. Do any research into this game. You keep forgetting. Where is it? Who is it? I don't know. I know.
Starting point is 01:04:42 I know. I know. Ooh, but where? Is it Bucks at Vikings? Is it? Okay. I don't know. I won yesterday, so this is pretty much all you need to know.
Starting point is 01:04:50 Patriots. Oof. And then back tonight, 7 o'clock on Twitch. Coco Puffs, of course. You know the show Too Dangerous for Radio, presented by Joe's Bud's gaming stream. I do know that show. Driven by Ryan Phelps Auto Sales.
Starting point is 01:05:03 You are buying from Ryan Stylin, Profiling Jetplane Flying. With Ryan Phelps Auto Sales. Hey, a lot. It's K Rock.
