Starting point is 00:00:00 We interrupt this program. Previously, critics had brailed against the duo as crude, dumb, ugly, faultless, sexist, self-destructive, and foolish. They are not part of the legitimate business world. What they do is they celebrate underachievement. And all candor, I would tell you it's outrageous, Phil. And if I could find some way constitutionally to do away with it, I would. I'm Jay Heppler and Chatt. Welcome to our chat.
Starting point is 00:00:50 Newbies showing up, love our newbies. The show.com or Twitch.tv. The show. Hello. On a Tuesday morning as, uh, yeah, we took the holiday off yesterday. I don't think that'll be offered up by my, my, my, my, my, my model again. I think you got to get shut right down. We've got it yesterday.
Starting point is 00:01:09 That was a sneaky. I don't know. I didn't know. I wasn't. We couldn't. For the amount. But we used to have to work rando ones. Which is that we will again.
Starting point is 00:01:18 We probably will again. But whatever. We were allowed that one. I didn't know. I didn't know that wasn't allowed. What was it? After COVID when we were told that if your kids, it's a holiday that kids have off from school,
Starting point is 00:01:31 you have off from here because this is all about family. And then the very first holiday he came in and no one was here like he told us and he lost his damn mind because he's senile. Yeah, he was a psychopath. And I think that I was, I might have been Columbus Day slash Indigenous People's Day. It was Indigenous People's Day. Because people weren't here. He don't do his rambling nonsense.
Starting point is 00:01:53 The only person that was here was smoothie because he had to run in to grab something not accident. You told us to take the day! It's on video. You lunatic! It's on video. I know, thanks time. But here we are. It is a Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:02:04 Twitch.tv slash the show. I've done so much in the last four days. It's almost unbelievable. I know. You had yourself a weekend, sir. There's so much to unpack. It's going to be 79. nine today?
Starting point is 00:02:22 Wow, very nice. All right. We're in pants. Let me look on my I've got a long-sleeved shirt on like an idiot. Oh, I'm taking my pants off.
Starting point is 00:02:30 That's it. Friday, we had the big Trump thing downtown. I'll talk about that because I watched it live stream that night. Saturday I head up to Old Forge and do my rail bike activity.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Mm-hmm. Yep. Fought a bear. What I do Sunday? Sunday I went and did LaGuilly's disc golf tournament. Yep. Which now I think I want to be a disc golfer.
Starting point is 00:02:50 Not your discolfer. I think you'd like it too because it's exactly what you like doing, wandering around the woods. Yeah, and just hucking a frisbee at something. Yeah, Maxfield was up there, LaGuilly was playing, and I did that. Yeah, Maxfield's a big into that. And then yesterday I went to my unlaw for some chicken and biscuits. I got a lot to tell you guys about. What did you do this weekend?
Starting point is 00:03:05 You were up in a Tisco yesterday, right? Right, it was one of those nice fall days where I was like, I got to walk around. Yeah. Right? Yeah, after not doing too much at all Saturday. And then Sunday was all football for you? As usual, as usual. And it was, of course, good games.
Starting point is 00:03:22 Was it? We knew they would be. Last night, back and forth battle. Ended the way it did. Pretty, pretty cute. I only watched the first maybe quarter and maybe two quarters. I didn't stay up past really 9 o'clock. But Bill's Rams, LA tied the game with four seconds left in regulation.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Yep. O.T. brought on more drama when Buffalo fumbled. L.A. had to get a field goal, but the field goal was blocked. Bills made sure theirs was good. Whole lot of activities so I can play that clip for you last night. And boom. And of course, you know the rundown. 315, 36, 4, 101 K-Rock text line.
Starting point is 00:03:58 Although. Power by Q's nutrition and what? We could talk about it. They got to be careful showing Josh Allen's wifie. Why? They're showing a lot. And I don't want people to turn on Josh Allen. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:07 They're going to swift or don't do that. I don't want people to turn on them. Depp says they were not all good games. The commanders lose? Oh, no. It was the most confusing thing ever. they tied, but they had so much time. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Like, you know when you don't have any timeouts and you got to run up there, they had a completion and they had like 20 seconds almost to get up there and just be like, and I hiked the ball. We're good to go. Instead, they just stood around and like bumbled. And then there was like one second left and they're like, oh, we better get into formation to hike it. And it's like, no, you should have done that with like 10 seconds left.
Starting point is 00:04:47 What are you doing? Then the clock just ran out and the game was over. It was the most confusing ending ever. We can also talk about Syracuse's game on Saturday. Yeah, that's real. I feel terrible for that kicker. He's just a true freshman. Unfortunately, he's losing games now.
Starting point is 00:05:03 Getting in the hot tub! Jojo's getting her hot tub today. Hot tub! Thank you for that. Subscription. Jay Hapler, newbie in the chat. Always love our newbies. Thank you, love you.
Starting point is 00:05:15 But it won't be warm today, right, Jojo? Oh, it is. Look it. I know it's going to be, it's going to be 79 today. I had no idea. We had one more day of 80, and I didn't think it'd be this early, but. I have not been checking the weather. Me either.
Starting point is 00:05:26 I have almost 80 today. I'm just pants. I got to get home and take these pants off. I'm so mad. And then that's a pretty chilly stretch. It looks like the rest of the week. Pants, though, on an 80-degree day. All right.
Starting point is 00:05:37 All right. I'm a monster. Get out there and enjoy the sunshine on a Tuesday. Maybe your hot tub. Is we got a lot of hot tub people in there? But I mean for a while, folks It's just a tiny tiny pool.
Starting point is 00:05:51 Yeah, it's going to be cold for a minute right? Yeah. Don't just jump right in. Well, a St. Louis woman won $3,200 at slot machines inside Casino Queen but left the robbed. Left a robbery victim.
Starting point is 00:06:07 She got robbed. To feed the pigs? Play a haunted house? Dude, I played some slot machines this weekend too. I'm saying that's another thing. Another thing I did this weekend. And while I was waiting for LaGuilly and them to finish up there. So I was at Sullivan Park on Saturday, Sunday.
Starting point is 00:06:25 Oh my God, there was so many things this weekend. I know, right? Jeez. I agreed to help LaGuilly and his buddy Ryan out at the big, at their tin man disc golf tournament. Yes. I played some music. I did some announcements.
Starting point is 00:06:40 I really didn't do much. But I was there volunteering my time. And it's a mile away. from Yellow Brick Road Casino where I had never been before. You never been there? I'd never been there before. They didn't want a bunch of renovations.
Starting point is 00:06:54 They came in, I kicked it all off, they had a lunch, then they went out and they're like, all right, they'll be out there for like two and a half hours, and I go, I'm going to play some slot machines,
Starting point is 00:07:01 I'll be back. Yeah. So I went down the road, planned to lose 60 bucks. I was like, I got 60 I can gamble with. I did end up losing it. But I was doing,
Starting point is 00:07:11 I played on $60 for two hours. Which is pretty impressive. Which was awesome. Right? That's pretty impressive. They had two games there that I played. One was kind of like a feed-the-pigs, but it was like Greek pigs. Hey.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Hey, we're Greek and muddy-bunty. And they were like, they were kind of like gods. Oh, I'm not talking about. And they were clouds and they got bigger. Like the Zeus pigs. Zeus pig. Yep. And I got a theory.
Starting point is 00:07:34 Maybe this isn't that big of a theory. I think these slot machines are rigged in a way. When you first sit down, they're going to give you some good action right out the gate. Yeah, it almost like it knows. To kind of hook you in, I wouldn't be surprised if that's like a marketing technique these machines use. Yeah. Because I sat down and I played the Greek piggy one. And boom, probably.
Starting point is 00:07:57 Boom, pretty quick. Not like a huge win, but it was like enough that I got to see like, you know me. I like all the extras. Yeah, when it shows you the bells and whistles of when you win something. When it goes into a big sequence and there's a whole animation and I get to enjoy that. Yep. And it did all that. I think it gives you like five bucks order.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Yeah. So I played that. And then I was like, yeah, I don't want to play piece. pigs anymore. Let's go see what else there is. And then I went to this haunted house. I want to go to haunted house. Actually, more than Clubbock. I dipped in. It's not a big deal. It's not a big deal. I did the deck. And it was the most fun slot machine since Ghostbusters. I like that. It was so fun. Seasonal slot machine. It's a good idea. That's a real good idea. I sit down and the goal is kind of like you're feeding the pigs. There's three scenarios.
Starting point is 00:08:42 Okay. I got to fill the haunted house. like to get to like whatever that level is. The games or... Yeah, the lights keep going on and the money. Oh, okay. It's getting bigger. Okay. But then there was also the free games or there was also the jackpot.
Starting point is 00:08:58 And the jackpot, you just had to pick like these little jars. And if you got the jet, I know, I sound really boring. No, no, no. No, I'm interested in this. It's never, bored by this. I like it. So you got the lanterns. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:13 And you pick the different lanterns. And if you decide what jackpot. If you get three of the minor, three of the major. Oh, it's not just. Yeah. There's a dollar in this one. No. Like a scratcher.
Starting point is 00:09:21 Yeah, I get three. It's like a scratcher. So I hit that for like seven bucks a couple times. I filled up the haunted house one time and I got to do all the ghosts in the windows. And that's what's fun about those. Even if you win just a couple bucks, as long as you get to do that, worth it. That's all I, that's all I care about. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:38 That's how I always justify what my gambling losses will be. If you entertained me for two hours, Yeah. I'm pretty happy. I'm pretty happy. But the hardest part. So I'm on haunted house. And my time is winding down. You haven't even been to Aqua yet. You know. And I know that I got to walk away. Because I tell myself this is your gambling budget.
Starting point is 00:10:01 When it's gone, it's gone. Yeah. And the numbers are going down. And that freaking house is full of so much money. Oh, that always is the worst. The pile of coins. And you're like, I can't leave it. I can't leave it.
Starting point is 00:10:12 And I'm just like, so I'm like, So somebody else can just walk up and crack the haunted house open like a... And these old dogs, they know when a machine is hot. So I'm standing up and I'm getting ready to leave. And she's just... And I'm right there by the ATM and I'm like, I could get out more money. No, you're not doing it. That's how it's how problem starts.
Starting point is 00:10:32 It's like, get up. And the second I stand up, are you playing this? I go, go ahead. Right. But I don't want to walk away because I want to see what happened. Hover. No, you got to walk away because you don't want to. that battle where I'm like, I built this, I built this haunted house brick by brick.
Starting point is 00:10:49 You don't want to see what happens. I put the time in to this hard house. Now you want to stick around and look in through the windows and watch somebody else live in it? No, so you got to leave. I wish I was better than that. You stick around and watched her win a bunch of money? Well, here's what I did. She may have won a bunch of money.
Starting point is 00:11:07 I just wanted to see one, I wanted to see the first good thing happened. And then I can walk away. Yeah. So I stand up. And like I said, there's three options. Free games is the one piggy fill up. The jackpot's one piggy fill up and the big hunter. Oh, Honod House.
Starting point is 00:11:22 So I stand up, but I just kind of hover back. Hover back a little bit. Scary. And she sits down on like the second spin. She gets the jackpot bonus game. And I go, I'm going to watch this woman win like $10,000. I hate her. And I'm going to have to kill this old lady.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Through no fault of her own. I hate her. So I stood there and I hover. I'm sorry, man. And I was like, let's see how this plays out. I couldn't be able to watch that. I'd have to... She played the jackpot games, and she only hit for $10.
Starting point is 00:11:50 And for some reason... Lock her in the cobra clutch. I was like, all right, now you can walk away. You witnessed it. And it wasn't anything too much. It wasn't too. It was $10. I was fine with that.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Now, granted, she could have hit that $100 a second I got to my car. I won a million. I don't know of that. That's fine. As long as it's not right in front of you... That one's grandma won big on a haunted house lot this weekend. Yeah. Well, anyways, back to this story.
Starting point is 00:12:14 is the woman inside casino queen, say a man watched her win, then followed her out, pulled alongside of her car, claiming her bumper was hanging off. When she kept driving, he forced her off the road. Jeez.
Starting point is 00:12:27 He then pulled a gunned. Detective, say the footage from inside the casino, they found the guy, blah, blah, blah. I feel like there should be more escorts to your car. If you win... After you win something like that. I think casino should offer like an escort to your car or something. And I don't know, maybe they do.
Starting point is 00:12:42 Because, yeah, that's... kind of a dicey situation. If I was in a casino and I just hit like for 10 grand and they gave me 10 grand in cash, go, goodbye. Maybe they give you a check. I don't know. But I'm like,
Starting point is 00:12:56 I'm not walking to a parking garage. Yeah. With 10 grand in cash. Maybe they do offer that. I'm sprinting to a break. I don't know what I would do. I'm tech. I'm running past little ladies and just,
Starting point is 00:13:09 just giving them stiff arms because I think they're coming at me. Get out of your grandma. No, no. You're coming right for my money. When one of these days I eventually do hit for the big money, I'm going to have to ask. I'm going to score it out to the... Can somebody please bring me to my car?
Starting point is 00:13:24 I'm so rich. Is football home this weekend? Football. And it's a 7 o'clock. Ends the dome. Yep. Yep. We got Cuse Hoops this week.
Starting point is 00:13:34 Kicking off. I got tickets earlier. Oh. You get closer to Thursday. I'll get tickets for you. For that. Yep. SM or sorry. Wait, is it? No.
Starting point is 00:13:45 Who are they playing? Not to look it up. I don't want to say SMU instinctively. Louisville? You Googling it? I'm looking it up. Louisville this Saturday. Louisville, because SMU is the Halloween one.
Starting point is 00:13:57 So, yep. SMU is their Halloween, yes. They go Louisville, then UNC, and then Circus. Losing over the weekend, unfortunately. Yeah, that's a rough one. Virginia. That's a heartbreaker. I hate to put it on the kicker,
Starting point is 00:14:10 but I mean, it's kind of coming down to the kicker at this point. Yeah, like, no. Come down to the kicker. No, no. But like, dude, what are you doing, man? That's what you're there for. Do they got anybody on the soccer team that can kick? I mean, I know he's a freshman and I feel bad for the guy.
Starting point is 00:14:25 I know, but just, that's literally the only reason you're there. I know. Get good about it. Or just, I don't know. It seems like it's a bunch. You know what I mean? Like, at some point, like the nerves, you got to, that's over or else it's not going to get any better. It's over before it even starts for the poor kid.
Starting point is 00:14:44 If it's not for you, yeah, you know. You've been giving some opportunities, and now, unfortunately, those opportunities have lost two games, I think, now. Yeah. So, that's a bummer for the kid. Yeah, it's rough. Like you said, though, you can't leave it up to the kicker, but when you do,
Starting point is 00:14:59 got to make it. Well, in the National Football League last night. Or you can just get a wild ride. Get your ass kicked like the cowboy. Yeah, oh, yeah. Yeah, we weren't even here yesterday to talk about that, bud. What happened there? Oh, no, that was a Thursday night game. You're right. Yeah, we're right.
Starting point is 00:15:16 Here's last night's Bill's game. It's a quick supercut of all the craziness. Maybe Stafford keeps it, but time's ticking. They're down to 12 seconds now. William spins his way. Touchdown with four to go. And we are going overtime. Back to the ground, back to Cook. Ball comes out. His second fumble of the night. Game winning try for Harrison Mivas. 48 years
Starting point is 00:15:43 The kick Blocked The bills have a left It's a 45-yard Try as Joe Brady's not going to mess around with it anymore To win it Sends the Bills Out of SoFi
Starting point is 00:16:01 With a 37-34 Overtime win From Bass to mouth The kick is good So we weren't here yesterday Let's run through some Sunday scores, Cody Yeah, it was, again, we said it on Friday that the games maybe didn't look like they were going to be as entertaining, but they, I think they were.
Starting point is 00:16:23 Bright and early on Sunday morning. Eagles, Jags, Jags beating the Eagles. I know we got a lot of Eagles fans in here. The Jags returned the kick. The Eagles scored with like eight seconds left. It was over. Games over. They let the Jags return it all the way down to.
Starting point is 00:16:43 where all they had to do was kick that field goal. And the Jags kickers, that guy that kicked 70-yarders on the rag. Sunday morning. It was heartbreaking. I was bringing my kid to the gym. Whoops. And then going to LaGuilly's disc golf tournament. And before we even got in the car, he was like,
Starting point is 00:17:03 there was just a big fight at the Eagles game because they returned it in something. You know, what was that in the beginning there? Oh, at the start, Jeremiah Trotter Jr. threw a punch for a while. whatever reason. And they just started fighting at 9 o'clock in the morning. It's like, no, it's too early for this, chaps. It's too early to have yourself a Donie Brooke. And then explain how this is the final score of Giants, commanders, 27, 27. Yeah. They just stop after a certain amount of times? Washington almost was like, no, we're all set. We're good. We don't need to go for the
Starting point is 00:17:33 winner or kick a field goal or anything. They had plenty of time. They just had the worst clock management ever. And that's an option just to leave with a tie? No, they didn't do it on purpose. It was. the blunder of the year for them. Like I would, that, that's almost coach being fired territory. Really? Because he's not good to begin with. They're already probably on thin ice with him. And then to do that, that's just, I've never seen that before. They knew how much time was left. It's just, they didn't care. And then all of a sudden, they did care. Yeah. But there was only like
Starting point is 00:18:06 three seconds left. You got a hot Jets Browns game, 1712. Hot Jets Browns action. Steelers Colts, Steelers over the Colts, 3422. Yeah, of course, watching Aaron Rogers out dual Daniel Jones. Is he still arguing with his coach every play? Because you mad about it? I can't think of when you match up two quarterbacks. Two quarterbacks, I'd want to sit in a room with less and have a dinner than with Daniel Jones and Aaron Rogers. Aaron Rogers is like the brattiest 44-year-old man.
Starting point is 00:18:42 No, he wasn't. a bitch in a mona because they were winning. Oh, okay, good. That's on him. When they're winning, when they're winning, it's good to him. It's only him. When they're losing, it's the coaching. Only anybody else.
Starting point is 00:18:53 Texans killed the Titans 263. In the battle of the unwit, the unwitting winners. But yeah, now the Texans are poor, poor Titans. Are they not good this year? Again, just every year they're bad. Vikings over the Saints.
Starting point is 00:19:08 Cool uniforms over the Titans. Viking Saints, you care about that? I mean, Vikings being 5 and O is the reverse of the last teams. The Titans with how they look, because the Vikings weirdly look really good. They haven't really been tested. The Saints were not that good. But still to be 5 and O is still impressive. Patriots over the Raiders, 4517.
Starting point is 00:19:32 Yeah, it looks like they're hot now. Stupid Patriot. Dolphins lose as the dolphins send a do to the Bengals, 3124. Between them and the Titans, I really don't. know which, I don't think they play each other. Mm-hmm. I wouldn't be shocked if neither of them win a game. Worst team has to leave the league this year.
Starting point is 00:19:49 It's a new rule they're doing. Premier League does it in soccer. I know. I know. If you're bad, get out until you're good. Packers killed the Bears 31-7. And now we're about to make the Packers Jordan loving Christian Watson look like frigging
Starting point is 00:20:03 Farve in the Packers of the 90s. That's who the Cowboys play next. So that'd be great. So they'll miss. Gonna dice him up. slice them and dice. Like my baseball coach said to me back in the 90s, you exist to make other teams look good.
Starting point is 00:20:21 That's what the Cowboys are. The Cowboys defense does. I exist to make other teams look good, and the Cowboys exist to make even bad teams really have a great game. Well, the Cowboys hired, I guess, a guy that used to help our defense coordinator at his last job. So all I can just picture is they hired a guy to overreact. see what he's doing.
Starting point is 00:20:43 So I just picture him standing behind him while the one guy goes to call a play, he kind of leans over. Sure about that? You sure about that, bud? Sure about that, though? Sure about that, that's why? You sure about that?
Starting point is 00:20:53 Going to call that play, though? Broncos over the Chargers, 2317. Yeah, divisional game, so that was a lot closer than it showed have been, but still Broncos look pretty decent. Lions over the Cardinals, 4521. Yeah, lions are really good again. Yeah, just when their offense is
Starting point is 00:21:09 moving, they're just really good. Stickers and chat says my 49ers effing killed it, and they did. 3229 over the Seahawks. It might have been the, if it wasn't for last night's game, the game of the week. That was really good. And then Ravens over the Falcons 3023. Wrap it up last night with your bills game. Overtime.
Starting point is 00:21:27 Double overtime because Sunday night was overtime as well. Holy cow. Lots of football action. Football hot pig skin. Yes. Anybody get held up by the Trump stuff Friday? Did any of that screw up anybody's workday? Did you get to?
Starting point is 00:21:41 Yeah, anybody? Anybody get stuck down there? Nothing? I didn't go anywhere near the area where it was all happening. No, no, no, no, I want nothing to do with any of that. I saw that they sent a big Paul down there to cover it. And as of like two or something, he said it really wasn't that busy. No, because it's, you got a, like, there are people in line.
Starting point is 00:22:00 Fuzz had no issues around 11. That's good. But, I mean, there wasn't anything going on until later. I saw that, I don't know if it's true or not, but I saw people's cars got towed to clear the area. I bet they did, unfortunately. That sucks. I mean, they tried to let everyone know. Like, well, stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:22:18 It's not just, well, there's going to be a... Were there signs up? They're not signs. I saw one guy make a TikTok, but I don't remember what he said. But it's one of those where it's not just like, oh, there's going to be a speech at the on center. Yeah, it's like they shut down a lot of area. It's the president.
Starting point is 00:22:34 So they're going to... I saw when I was going to Scoop Elsa, like when I travel the outskirts of the city, instead of hopping on the highway because you never know if there's going to be a wild moose standing there or whatever on 690. Or construction, yeah. Yep. So I saw them starting, though, over where there's that diner.
Starting point is 00:22:52 It's kind of like at the end of the street that the on center is on there, they started putting up. Oh, so they were putting up the road closed signs then. Like, all right. Kelly said apparently people who lived close to there got their cars told with no notice. I mean, that would be on brand. I wouldn't be surprised by that, which that would just suck. Now you got to go pay to get your car back.
Starting point is 00:23:11 We sent you an email. We'll put it. I'll put an email. Did you check your spam folder? Check it. It seemed rather uneventful, though. I mean, I saw there was protests.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Where were those? Down at the fountain? Clinton Square. Clinton Square protests. Amongst many other places. Many other places. I saw they were there down by the on center as well. Saw that lady give the middle finger.
Starting point is 00:23:35 Sue. Sue's everyone's hero now. She had her primus shirt on. She'd get around to do the fingers. Mm-hmm. It was weird, though, because the strange thing about it visually is like, I guess I'm so used to seeing clips of him just like through national news. And now it was local news. And I don't know of like local news cameras or a different frame rate or something, but I was watching the news channel 9 live stream of it.
Starting point is 00:24:03 And it just felt different. I don't want to explain other than that. Like, I'm so used to seeing him on, like, national news. Just like clips on the internet. And this was my local news station streaming his appearance. Yeah. And it was just more real. Like, oh, he's just a guy.
Starting point is 00:24:20 He's just a guy walking around and he was saying words. It was weird. He went to the greatest hits I saw, like everybody, like all the normal things he rants about. Yes, yes, as usual. There's a video going around to this girl talking to her boyfriend. Did you see that? He's, like, doing his speech. And there was a girl and a boyfriend behind him.
Starting point is 00:24:37 and she, you can read her lips. She's like, can we go? And he's like, oh, he looks at his watch. He's like, I don't know, we can't go. Because they're like on camera. Yeah. And she keeps going back. Like, can we please go?
Starting point is 00:24:48 And at one point, they just leave. That's awesome. I don't know. It is what it is what it is. I don't know what people were doing down there. It was all the people I expected to be there. And they were all in lines or whatever. And then I watched a little bit of the pre-pre-stuff.
Starting point is 00:25:03 Only because I wanted to go and see if I could see the plane coming in. Yeah, people put on videos in Cicero of, like, the Air Force One coming over Cicero. Because I've got a pretty good up there. I'm, I don't know how to explain it. Like, I'm in line with the airport. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like where the hill is. So I would have definitely been able to see.
Starting point is 00:25:22 We're beginning our descent. I didn't. We're going to go ahead and begin our descent now. If you want to go out of bulk of your seat belts, we're going on in. And I would have ran right on time. Yeah. But I didn't get that alert. So all of a sudden, I just saw that he was landed.
Starting point is 00:25:34 And I was like, how was my ass doing? How did I just miss that? the biggest plane in the United States. And I miss one of the new be here. I work at the Civic Center. We left at 1 p.m. Because we were warned it was going to get crazy by three or four. Not too bad when we left.
Starting point is 00:25:49 The biggest problem is they were forcing homeless off the street, making them go to shelters. Yeah. So that meant a lot of homeless had to come to the health department to get PPDs to check for tuberculosis. Made it a very busy day. That was pretty interesting down here on Friday. That was suddenly quiet all of a sudden.
Starting point is 00:26:05 Weird. how all of a sudden like, hmm, when you want to, you make them kind of disappear a little bit. It was an interesting day. It was just an interesting thing to watch as like my local news live streamed. I kept obsessing over the fact that like if you look at a map of the globe
Starting point is 00:26:21 and you put a dot where I was and a dot where the president was, it's like the closest it's ever been. Oh, okay. That makes sense. The most powerful person in the world is like in driving distance of me right now. I think mine was when Biden was at OCC.
Starting point is 00:26:35 Oh, that's what. Way closer than I was, yeah. I would imagine. Well, you don't know when, well, do we do know when he got here? Never mind. Because then I can start to get paranoid where I'm like, well, if they're going to try to, like, I guess bomb us. He's here now. Luckily, nothing happened.
Starting point is 00:26:49 I didn't even think about that. I started. Like, why are we safe? What's going on? It was just, I had a lot of emotions about it on Friday. No. Well, we move on. It's a new week.
Starting point is 00:26:58 I was not. Oh, good enough. New week, new me. No, I was not watching much. I couldn't. It's just not for you. It's not for me. That's not for me either.
Starting point is 00:27:06 I'm a political junkie, so I like to see all that stuff. And just the grift. Yeah, it was a lot of that. And how he very clearly just got some bullet points real quick on some things. No, it was all the, yeah, like it was all the... Call 81 racist. Yeah, he... A road is racist.
Starting point is 00:27:23 That makes no sense to me. Well, that's because you just read it on a piece of paper and I'm nuts. Somebody just told you about it. He had just learned about a lot of things that day, but... I'm an expert on them. Don't say that. I know all about I-81. You want to keep chance.
Starting point is 00:27:36 and Twitch.TV slash the show or the show. Dot FM. Other side of this selling it forward. We got a high strangeness for you. Now, what you do? I did, and I did. It's adding to your ambiance. Shut up.
Starting point is 00:28:00 It's pretty cool. I had that candle lit like it's creepy in here, right? Pretty cool. I'm lightheaded. Ahoy, ho! This is K.Rock. It is. Stings the nostrils.
Starting point is 00:28:18 A Tuesday, not Tuesdays we get into your high strangeness, the unexplained, the creepy, the strange, the weird. And what I love about TikTok is that people share all their creepy stories, and I just like listening to them. Y'all right over there? It's really hidden, right? I'm, I screwed up. I screwed up. Sorry, where am I? Sorry, what?
Starting point is 00:28:43 I love people sharing their creepy stories. Because it's like you're sitting around the campfire and people share. share their things and you can just listen to their stories. Are they made up? Maybe sometimes. I don't know. Yeah, but even if they're made up. But all this crap could be made up.
Starting point is 00:28:56 As long as they're good. So this is a video I saw on TikTok last week. I saved it for today's high strangeness. And it's a pretty creepy story, man. I will let her share the tale with you. Okay. I did not turn on the button. Got to board up.
Starting point is 00:29:16 Redo the button. Had to redo everything. Well, you got to turn off all the button. No need to do that Okay Still not doing it Thank you Stop touching
Starting point is 00:29:27 Just do worry about your broadcast Yeah you don't have to People disappeared inside of a corn maze where I worked For almost six hours And when they finally came out Around like three o'clock in the morning They thought that they had only been inside For a little bit under a half an hour
Starting point is 00:29:41 So I was 20 when this happened And I was working my second fall season At this family owned farm in Ohio Pumpkins, hay rise, ciders like corn maze, all of it. The maze was big enough that people could absolutely get lost, but that was kind of the point of it. But on an average night, it took most people somewhere between like 30 and 40 minutes to get through. If you were really bad with directions, maybe an hour. But nobody disappeared in there. This particular group went in at 9-17,
Starting point is 00:30:10 and I remember that time because they were one of the last groups that we let enter that night, and there were five of them. Four of them were teenagers, probably somewhere between like 15, 16. And one of the boys had brought his dad, and they were giving him a little bit of a hard time about it. Nothing mean, just like some joking. And one of my coworkers said something like, you guys need a chaperone for a corn maze, and one of the kids goes, ah, apparently we're five. And the dad laughed and said, you'll be glad that I'm here when one of you is crying and I have to carry you out. And it was just normal stuff. They went in and we closed around 10.30. And around closing, we started doing the usual checks. One of the things that we kept track of was whether or not the last groups had
Starting point is 00:30:51 actually come out. And this group hadn't. And nobody panicked, though, because people lingered, people took photos, teenagers hid from each other. Sometimes people even ignored the exit because they wanted to keep messing around in there. So a couple of the employees went back through and nothing. Then more of us went in. We knew the maze. There were little like employee shortcuts that customers weren't supposed to use. And we had a pretty good idea of where people normally got turned around. So we were calling out using flashlights and nothing. And by the time midnight rolled around, it wasn't very funny anymore. And the dad was in there too.
Starting point is 00:31:23 So this wasn't four teenagers like deliberately hiding from employees for a laugh or anything. And at this point, management started making calls. Eventually, they did call out emergency services and there were fire trucks, police, more people searching the field. Someone had contact information for one of the parents. And phones were being called over and over and over again. And most of them eventually went straight to voicemail. So we're just tuning in. It's five people go to a corn maze.
Starting point is 00:31:49 And they go into the corn maze. They're making all the normal jokes that you make at the corn maze. It's like 9-17 at night. Yep. Corn maze closes at 10. 10 o'clock rolls around. They haven't come out of the corn maze yet. Now it gets to midnight and they can't find these people who went in the corn maze.
Starting point is 00:32:06 This is a video from Kandy on TikTok. I would have freaked out way earlier than midnight. If they said that if an hour. Midnight is when they call emeritus. Emergency services. Yeah. Because they're like, okay, this is severe. I've never done a corn maze.
Starting point is 00:32:21 There's so many things you haven't done in your life. Right, when it comes to stuff like that? Why haven't you done a corn maze? I don't know. Not that this is going to make you want to do one. No, that, no, this, not. See, I would do one of these. Now you're curious.
Starting point is 00:32:32 It's going to disappear me. This is people missing in a corn maze. Here is part two of the story from Candy on TikTok. And we still could not find people in a corn maze that normally took 30 to 40. minutes to finish. And then at 307 in the morning, they walked out through the regular exit. All five of them together. Nobody was carrying anything. Nobody looked injured. They looked confused. And one of the two girls in the group saw the emergency vehicles and asked what happened. And that was the first thing. Not, gosh, not we've been lost. She thought that something had
Starting point is 00:33:06 happened while they were inside. So one of the managers said, we have been looking for you, and they laughed. Like, genuinely thought that he was messing with him. So the dad checked his phone and then he stopped laughing. They all thought that they had been inside of that maze for maybe 40 minutes. The dad did too, and that part is important to me because people later said that the teenagers were probably screwing around or maybe they had been drinking or whatever. But the dad was standing there just as confused as they were. They started explaining what happened. They said that they got turned around pretty early and eventually found this little clearing.
Starting point is 00:33:39 And it was nothing scary, just an open spot inside the corn with an old bench and like a scarecrow. and they thought maybe it was a rest area or a part of the maze, and they sat there for a few minutes, and they talked, and they tried to figure out which way that they had come from, and at some point, they could hear people calling names. They actually joked around that somebody must have gotten lost. They didn't realize that the names that were being called was theirs. And one of the girls said that every time they tried walking towards the voices,
Starting point is 00:34:05 the voices seemed like they were moving further away. And that is another thing that still bothers me, because we were calling for them. For hours. and the other problem was the clearing. There was no clearing. I had worked there for two full seasons. The people who owned the farm had designed that year's maze.
Starting point is 00:34:23 There was no bench in the middle of it. There was no scarecrow where they described it. And there wasn't supposed to be open space in the maze at all. So these five people go into a corn maze. They think they're in their 30, 40 minutes. They come out at 3 o'clock in the morning and they're laughing because they're like, Oh, though, what are all these vehicles doing here? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:45 The emergency vehicles are like, we're here for you. You've been in this corn maze for six hours. That's so confusing. They're like, oh, at one point we found this clearing with a bench and a scarecrow. We were just chilling there. We could hear people calling for you. And this girl who worked there says there is no clearing. That was from years ago or whatever, the bench or the, it had never been there or something.
Starting point is 00:35:06 There's no scarecrow for you to be chilling in. Here's the wrap up of our high strangers on a Tuesday. I guess one of the girls had an Apple Watch, and when everybody started arguing about how long they had actually been inside, somebody thought to check it, and her activity data had shown hours of movement. She said that that made no sense because in her memory, most of the time that they had spent in there was sitting in the clearing and trying a couple of the different paths. And then she realized that her bracelet was gone. Nothing expensive, just one that she had worn all the time. She assumed that it had fallen off while they were pushing through the corn, and nobody thought much about it after that. The farm closed for the season just a few weeks later, and eventually the maze was cut down, and her bracelet was found.
Starting point is 00:35:50 The owner knew whose it probably was, because by then, everybody at the farm had heard this story a thousand times. What bothered him was where he found it. It was nowhere near where the customers even went down the pass. It was in a section that had been planted solid, and according to the maze map, there had never, ever been a trail there, not even an employee one. I haven't worked in that farm in years, and I still don't know what happened. Maybe five people somehow lost track of time for almost six hours at the same exact time. Maybe there was some part of the field that we somehow overlooked. I don't know. But I watched five people enter at 917 at night, and then I watched them all walk
Starting point is 00:36:30 back out at 307 in the morning asking us why, like, fire trucks and police were outside. There it is. They walked into a time warp of a corn maze of some kind. Yeah, that's very weird. And nobody, where was that supposed to be? Ohio. Ohio, yeah. And no one has any other recollection of it or anything of it?
Starting point is 00:36:52 I mean, she said the people that worked at the facility, like at the corn maze, talked about it all the time because it's a crazy story. That's so weird. They went into a clearing and just sat on a bench trying to find their way out. They got some, yeah, they went through some. Some time portal or... Yeah, I don't know. It's a weird one.
Starting point is 00:37:11 The dad being there is what throws it all off because four kids... The Apple Watch showing that you've been walking around for hours. Endlessly. The time being obviously what it was. Them hearing voices but not being able to get to the voices. They just kept getting further away. They were stuck in like a time riff. Like the upside down kind of like how you go to the other side of something.
Starting point is 00:37:29 You're like, I hear it, but I don't... Where are you? Weird. There's your high stranger just on a Tuesday. That's a weird one. Puka, Bella, I'm sure you've noticed some changes. How are you talking to? I'm just practicing for when I have to tell the dogs about the twins.
Starting point is 00:37:44 You know, because they'll... Be fine in the spacious third row seat. But the twins... Can sleep peacefully thanks to the rear manual sunshade. And what about the... Extra cargo space for strollers and dog beds? I guess you're right. Can we go to the hospital now?
Starting point is 00:37:56 The contractions are getting closer. The three-row Lexus TX. Because everyone should feel like the center of the universe. See Burdick Lexus and... Cicero. Shout out to the Adirondack Railroad up there in near the Old Forge. I had a great time on Saturday. He was an old-timey vagabond.
Starting point is 00:38:15 It was an old-timey... Right. Isn't I who ride the rails back then? Was it to vagabonds? I don't remember. I don't know, but whatever it was, I was in heaven. You were them. Old Forge, I was not aware of your game during the fall season.
Starting point is 00:38:30 That's on me. I did not know that you were such a destination. Yeah. Holy cow, I've never seen so many people at Old Forge in my life. I think with the added activities that they have going on around there, and you can't pack everybody in to, you know, enchanted forest like they are in the summer. They're all out in the city. We got to the railroad.
Starting point is 00:38:53 Just not a lot of room. And I saw a lot of people at the railroad. And I'm not used to seeing a lot of people at the railroad. Yeah. And I go, huh, what's going on here? Well, we had a bike ride at 1130. the same time the train was departing. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:39:08 To go up and, like, look at all the leaves. Yeah. That's supposed to be real nice. So all these people were there waiting for the train. And there was a shuttle bus. That sure had been my first warning. Yeah. Because I'm at the train station.
Starting point is 00:39:22 I'm like, what is this long line to people that keep getting on buses? Oh, they're getting shuttled into old forge. And I'm like, why? That's why. Why are they needing to get shuttled into old forge? Why? Just drive. drop them off and just to walk around?
Starting point is 00:39:38 I guess so, man. It was, it was crazy. And there's no place for him to go. Like, not everyone can just venture off into all the parts you can in the summer. And we're like, we're like, and my wife was like, I could have told you this is going to be busy.
Starting point is 00:39:52 Everyone's up here looking at the, looking at the trees. Yeah. And to quote my youngest child, why? Trees are everywhere. And I felt the same way. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:40:01 why do you all need to come to this one small town to look at our trees. You don't have trees where you live? Yeah, but it's different. Because it's cozy. And they don't look like this with certain spots. Like they don't look like they do, like the trees around here don't look like they do up the Adirondacks.
Starting point is 00:40:18 It's just like the scenery. There's only a certain, there's a lot of the trees all turn. Yeah, but there's only a certain couple little pockets. Yeah. Of like gorgeous fall viewing. And they Adirondex.
Starting point is 00:40:30 That must be it, man. Oh, that's always been like the number one. fall hit station, the Andorondacks. So these people travel from all over to come into Old Forge? Everywhere. Everywhere. I bet half of those people were from downstate. Wow.
Starting point is 00:40:44 If I could venture a guest. And I was like mad. I was like, get out of here. These are our trees. That's like how. Don't you got your Hudson Valley trees? They're not nearly as nice. Not nearly as nice.
Starting point is 00:40:53 That's why it's unfortunate when you're up there in the summer. I try to only go during the week. Because during the weekend, I mean, you can't do anything. almost. In the summer you can't either? No, if you go on the weekends. I mean, a lot of times the weekdays as well. That one, when I was up there, was it a Tuesday or something?
Starting point is 00:41:13 It was the busiest I'd ever seen in Chander Forest. And it was like a Tuesday. Wow. So I mean. So Old Ford is having a moment, I guess. And it's, there's only so much space up there. Yes, there is. There's not endless.
Starting point is 00:41:28 It's not like a couple cities or you can just, you know, oh, they can just, you know, widen things out. No, it's a small town. In the Adirondas. So we did our rail bike ride, which was phenomenal. It was super fantastic. Scared away a lot of bears. Scared away a lot of bears.
Starting point is 00:41:43 A bunch of bears saw him. He didn't see no bears. I highly recommend it. It's super fun. If you ever, it's not, if you got four people, it's not hard. Who do you go over like? No, there's just flat the whole way. No, there's never like a bridge.
Starting point is 00:41:56 Go over like a creek. I wish that'd be cool. No, you go by a lot of water. Yep. There was a couple of ponds that I passed. There's a waterfall at one point. It's beautiful. It's scenic.
Starting point is 00:42:05 It's the exact right fall-time vibes. I bet there's some fish on that. That's what I'm thinking. I bet there was. I bet there was. Oh, yeah. So you ride out three miles, and then you come to a stop, and they take your cart, and they put it on like a lazy Susan and spin it around. So you can go three miles back.
Starting point is 00:42:23 I was texting Cody that my family was taking photos of me, spending alone time with the rails. I still laugh at that, the picture of your emo acoustic album that dropped over the week. Yeah, that was my children taking photos of me and laughing at me because I walked down the rails. If you don't know, go to my Facebook, K Rock Josh. I posted photos. You just stand there. I just needed a moment with the rails. And that's not even me joking.
Starting point is 00:42:46 Like, I don't know what part of the spectrum I'm on that just a group of 20 people in the woods was too much for me. And I just had to walk away for a minute. No, that's the face. I was like, I got to go down here for a minute. That's the face I was getting was, all right, what are we all doing here? We're all just standing here. Yeah, like, let's get going. So you had to walk away before.
Starting point is 00:43:06 I'm like, let's go. Before you said that out loud. It was, it was a me problem. It was a me problem. I was like, I got to, I'm going to go down and look at the rails a little bit. All right. How many pictures of the leaves we need, guys. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:43:17 Let's go. Let's go. You take pictures on the way back. I do suck the fun out of everything. The guide is turning around. Sir. And he's just, where are you? And you're half a mile down the rail yelling.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Mm-hmm. All right, let's go. What are we waiting on? Nah, you make a good point. Sir, what are you doing down there? Waiting for you. I'm ready to go. Man, I do suck the fun out of everything.
Starting point is 00:43:40 I really do. No, everyone was having fun, I bet. Everyone probably just ignored you. And there was a car immediately in front of us. So you didn't say anything. I wanted everybody to be spaced out. I didn't want to be on everybody. I wanted to have my own space.
Starting point is 00:43:54 So the car in front of us. Guys, whoa, whoa. All right, one, car one. You go. Car two, hold on. Yeah, thank you. I did have to direct. I wanted to direct.
Starting point is 00:44:02 And we were like behind these two women Who were just two of them And we're in a four car And they're in two And they kept like stopping Why are we putting the two in front of a four? Thank you The momentum is just gonna carry me to us regardless
Starting point is 00:44:17 Now the good news is on the way back They were behind us But they were stopping to take a lot of photos So my family had to talk me down When I'd be like How long are we gonna sit here? Oh is that tree different from the other tree? How long are you sitting here?
Starting point is 00:44:29 How many photos of leaves do you need? Let's go! That's weird So you have to all stay in a group. What do you mean? I would just be like, all right. You don't. You don't.
Starting point is 00:44:37 See you later. Ladies taking pictures of trees. You can't pass them. You're on the rails. Oh, I didn't even think. There's only one lane. Yeah, so if somebody is going. Oh, you'll picture this.
Starting point is 00:44:49 And you have. Yeah. So if the car in the front is slow, it's going to affect me. And on the way back, we cooked, though. We got up to 14 miles an hour one point. We had a little Spenometer app. We checked it. We were cooking on the way back.
Starting point is 00:45:01 That's hilarious. So then I'm like, all right, let's, I text a Cody. I go, we're in Old Forge, where should I eat? And I was like, I don't know what, I was just, I'm ignorant to your fall game, Old Forge, now I know. But that's it. Honestly, that's what I, the usual, in a real busy night. That's common. Hour wait.
Starting point is 00:45:20 So we drive in To Old Forge, and you know how like if you're using your Maps app, I don't know if yours does this, but it'll start to get red where the roads are getting busy? Yeah. And it was a long line of red. And I go, what is going on? Yeah. And this is not an exaggeration. I have walked through Times Square in Manhattan with less people than we're standing in Old Forge, New York, this past Saturday. Stopping randomly wherever they please.
Starting point is 00:45:48 It was asses to elbows. Yep. And those stores aren't built for that. They're not built for that. The town's not built for that. No. There's that Montezuma winery that's like doing like cases are coming out of there. People buying.
Starting point is 00:46:01 cases of wine. Great. Great for all the businesses. I'm thrilled. Hopefully it can make it so everybody can expand. Joe asked, did you see any deer in the crosswalks? Joe, as we pulled into Old Forge, you know the school on the right? There was a teenager petting at least a six point buck. Isn't it crazy? Isn't that crazy?
Starting point is 00:46:22 He was just petting it, had a big rack. And I go, okay. They get so domesticated so fast up there that they, It was a perfect day for the peepers. Hand fed. So my wife, as she tends to have to do, talk me down. Because as soon as they told me Tony Harper's our way to go, I got to get out of here.
Starting point is 00:46:41 I got to get out of here. No, it's again why when I go up there, even during the week, you try to leave kind of early. Because if you're up there on like, say, you know, okay, get up there on a Wednesday and I leave on a Friday. Oh, man, Friday, all right, it's probably best to leave as early as you can. And that's what happened. Again, when I was up there, as I was leaving.
Starting point is 00:47:00 you started to see that line. It was unbelievable. Get backed up and you're like, all right, here we go. So she talks me down because now I'm hangary. I wanted to get a meal at Tony Harpers and I couldn't. This would make me angry as well. Let's get out of here. Let's just go.
Starting point is 00:47:17 Seeing the amount of people. Let's get out of it. Let's get out of there. You know how I am with crowds. I had to get out of there. Yes. I'd never seen so many people. And I go, this town is not built for this many people.
Starting point is 00:47:28 No. And again, to quote my youngest, Don't you got trees where you are? Why you got to come borrow our trees? Not this nice. So she's like, all right, let's just get something eating Rome. Let's head back home. We get a meal in Rome.
Starting point is 00:47:40 And we stopped at DeCastros. I've heard of it. Never been there. I don't frequent Rome. One of the top three best meals ever had in my life. Oh, nice. Good. I don't know what they're doing there.
Starting point is 00:47:55 DeCastros. Everything's homemade, apparently. I got to. chicken parm, kids got pizzas, wife got manicottie. She got a French onion soup. They kept bringing out these fresh loaves of bread. Nice. 11 out of 10 place. Because they were probably so excited to see anybody there that wasn't from Rome. Hey!
Starting point is 00:48:17 Now, DeCastros, you are my spot now. If I ever come through there again, holy cow. But I have a question. On the wall of DeCastros. This is also on my Facebook page, K Rock Josh. My busy Saturday photos were all posted. There is a piece of plywood that it has a name on it that says, like, you know, created by Woodburner. Some artist had, like, basically it's a piece of plywood. And it says Woodstock 99 in the middle.
Starting point is 00:48:47 It's got a logo in the middle. 99, baby. And then it looks like somebody had burned in all the band logos that would be playing that weekend. Yep. And then under the band logos, it looks like the band's autograph. this plywood. Yeah. I posted the photo and a couple of people said,
Starting point is 00:49:03 nah, that's just like a replica. Oh. I don't know how that would be possible. How is it a replica? That's what I don't understand. Because if somebody, I was sitting three feet from it,
Starting point is 00:49:15 all these signatures look legit. That's legit. Like they were done with markers. I look at autographs all the time. And it's not that hard to do once you have a thing going on. We have guitars that you just put it out there and go, hey, you sign this? So I'm assuming.
Starting point is 00:49:31 And they all do. Putting this out there so somebody can answer this question. That sounds real. It looks like somebody put this out at Woodstock 99 and as the bands walk by or whatever, they signed it. And if you're a Rome business owner, that would absolutely be something you have. Right? So it looks real to me.
Starting point is 00:49:50 Anybody who said it was a replica, I don't think you're right. Because in the documentary, you see Fat Boy Slim signing this thing. Oh, really? You see him signing a piece of. plywood. So then that they, that's their plywood. They ended up with that. To which I say.
Starting point is 00:50:03 That's cool as hell. That's very neat. I wonder how much that's like worse. Well, this is my point. I've been to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. I've been to a lot of big rock concert things. Yeah. Does DeCastros have like one of the most important pieces of rock memorabilia ever hanging in their restaurant? Because it does have.
Starting point is 00:50:22 Everybody has signed this plywood. And it's from a concert that is infamous. It didn't end well, but whatever. Interesting. TextLIN says it was 100% real. It was set up at the band buses area and people were signing it. That sounds like, yeah, that would be. And that once you get a little...
Starting point is 00:50:38 It does not look fake. No, and once you get a little like word of mouth, it becomes like a thing of, hey, did you sign the... The plywood. Oh, I got to sign the... Yeah. Check it out. Oh, here's our burned logo.
Starting point is 00:50:51 Oh, that's so cool. Like, I bet it became a thing. Not to discredit DeCastros because you're a phenomenal shop. No, but that should be like, in the Smithsonian. Yeah. It's under a piece of broken glass at an Italian restaurant. Yeah, why wouldn't they just get a new glass expensive?
Starting point is 00:51:08 Maybe that just broke, I don't know. Or it'd be worth. It'd be worth it. It'd be worth not having a broken piece of, so I started Googling it. And I was asking Claude, I was like, is this a replica? Does somebody make this? Where's Zupy? Did he see it?
Starting point is 00:51:20 Does he know if that's the one? He would know. But if that's a real piece of plywood that was autographed by all those artists at Woodstock 99, That, like, should be in the rock and roll hall of fame. Or go to the castros and look at it. Right, because you can't really replicate. So some... Not those signatures.
Starting point is 00:51:36 Because then it would have been, all right, you got to burn the logos in the same spots and then sign it. You know what I mean? Like, let's look up how they sign it. Yeah, you need to learn everybody's signature and then have the marker fade in a certain way. I bet it's legit. That's pretty neat. I think that's legit. And if I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
Starting point is 00:51:53 But, dude, that... As like music nerd... Yeah, Nicholas Cage just Yeah, we'll get Nicholas Cage to take it for us. We need to steal the Woodstock 99 plywood. Oh, I'm doing the stealing a piece of plywood. I've stolen much worse. So, like, it's clearly not going to go to the rock and a hall of him or whatever,
Starting point is 00:52:11 but I'm just telling you, if you're a music fan, go get a meal at DeCastro's and look at this thing. It's like, I know I sound ramped up about it. It's got kid rocks. So, that's one of the most autographed pieces of rock memorabilia I've ever seen in my life. I agree. And it's at a Rome, New York Italian restaurant. Yeah. So it's worth going out there. I bet they don't do that at
Starting point is 00:52:34 you know, rock on the range or whatever. They have a big piece of plywood. I don't know. Maybe they do, but that was impressive. Yeah. Type thing. Yeah. That was really cool. Really cool to see. That's neat. Fun little Saturday for your boy out there. Yeah, but how was a chicken farm though? That's all the matters. Even if you don't
Starting point is 00:52:52 care about the, even if you don't care about the plywood. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Rock and roll. Rock and roll history, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Chicken parm? And then the waitress comes over, and we're getting pretty stuffed. She goes, you're going to want another loaf of bread? And we're like, I don't know. And she goes, let me just put one in for you.
Starting point is 00:53:09 And she was right. Just in case. We wanted it. My family went through three loaves of bread at that dinner. Yeah, when you get those warm rolls. Dude, the fresh bread. Yep, like the, uh, oh, I can't even remember the name. Who?
Starting point is 00:53:22 What's that state place that does it? Alback does it sometimes? Just over here. Dom. Dominics? No. No. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:53:31 Danielis? Nope. Holy cow. Right on the Redmond. Scotts and sirloin. No. Scotts and Sirloin? Dominoco.
Starting point is 00:53:37 Delmonico. They do fresh bread? Like those loafs? You don't even, you can be gluten free. It's the low. Krock text sign 3153-6-4-101. Power by Cuse nutrition. Get up there see Ashley.
Starting point is 00:53:52 Okay. Get yourself some nutrition. Okay. right now? I don't normally deal with trick-or-treaters. I'm out in the country. I'm not a spot you would trick-or-treating candy. So I don't usually buy trick-or-treating candy.
Starting point is 00:54:08 That'd be confusing. But I will say I am concerned by the prices on these bags at the groceries and the Walmart. It's like $30 for a bag of candy. Watching from when that first year in Cicero, real quick, have you ever had a trick-or-treater? And one of them I lived at my parents' house, yes, but not at all. No, there. No. From the first time buying it and Cicero,
Starting point is 00:54:31 spending as much as we did, then looking at what it is now. Yeah. And thinking about how much money I would have to spend. Yeah. To be, to get that same amount. Mm-hmm. Because we'd get like,
Starting point is 00:54:49 I can't remember that one year was the most like nine something bags of candy or something. Oh my God. And you go through all of it. and at 30 bucks a pop? Yeah. I see the memes where it's like Portlight's gonna be off this year. Like I'm excited to give out candy for Halloween
Starting point is 00:55:04 if the game time's all line up, but I'm ignoring that part where I'm gonna end up going and, you know, dropping 60 bucks on it. Yeah, dude. These prices are crazy. Just nuts. And for not even like huge bags.
Starting point is 00:55:20 It's not like they're... No, they're not like, yeah. They're not like Costco-sized pillowcase bags. Yeah, 500 pieces. bag, you know, things or whatever, that'd be a little different. Then I'd be like, all right, 30 bucks. You're getting, you know, hundreds of pieces of candy. It's like, nope, 50 piece bag, $39.99.
Starting point is 00:55:35 And even, like, the super tiny bags were, like, eight bucks. Yeah. It's nuts. So I'm reading this article. Thanks, Biden. Thanks, Biden. Ugh. The takeout has ranked their favorite boomer Halloween candies.
Starting point is 00:55:52 Oh, man. And now I realize the older I get, the closer I get to boomer age. I'm the mentally I'm already there I think because I like a lot of this boomer candy like for example number one is Werther's original those are good I like a Wurthers I like the way that they've stepped up their game and done new stuff like those soft ones
Starting point is 00:56:12 I could eat a bag of those in a sitting we got trays of those in my house that's our house candy right now it would be non-stop what flavor I don't know I think it's just Wothers because well no because there's caramel apple no there are different flavors in there. Like, they're decided they're going to inject some of them now. I just got
Starting point is 00:56:29 to be careful with, uh, with these crowns. These weak teeth. Just suck them. These weak teeth. Just give them a suck. That's what I've been doing because I've been finding these little pieces of taffy that my wife has put out to. Yeah, they just suck them. And I can't chew on them. Yeah, I'll suckle on them. The pumpkin spice ones. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Uh, so the list of candies that they consider
Starting point is 00:56:47 boomers, like Starburst is not a boomer candy. Aw. Even though they were created in 1959. Oh, God. I guess it is a boomer candy then. I never considered it a boomer candy. Based off of just year of existence. That's crazy. I don't know that Starbursts were like an OG candy. Yeah, what they look like back in the 50s? I got to look that up. Mushy little piles. Root beer barrels. Yeah. Boomer candy. I don't hate a root beer barrel. I like one or two and then I'm done. Any sucking candies I would consider boomer
Starting point is 00:57:21 candies. I love a good sucking candy. I'm giving my sucking candy. I'm getting my sucking candy season. Well, now, because again, it's the good flavors of, like, the root beer barrels and different caramels and stuff like that. How about some Laffey-Taffy Boomer candy? I don't know if it's boomer.
Starting point is 00:57:37 I think it's more like 90s style, and I don't really like Laffy. The grape one's pretty good. Buzz and Jay says 100 grand bars are my white whales. What do you mean? They're hard to find? Are they hard to find for you, Jay? You just love them? Or they're like, yeah. You just, we'll get you. Or is it like when the kids come back and they dump out their bags and you see 100 grand?
Starting point is 00:57:58 I'm taking those. That's the gas of them. Those are really good. That's the flavor. Those are really good. Milk duds? That's just bad candy. Nobody likes milk duds.
Starting point is 00:58:06 I don't. Do any of you like milk duds? I'm not a milk dud guy. Even when you're like at the movies, snow caps all day. Snowcaps over milk duds any day the week. Milk duds and woppers both have always grossed me out. Woppers are those... I'm giving them all a fair shake.
Starting point is 00:58:23 Whoppers are those things where, again, you'll see them in that Halloween bowl. Of course your mother likes milk duds. I don't like milk duds. Put them in your popcorn. But you know, you see the whoppers in your candy, your Halloween bowl, and you'll be like, let me. Every year. Let me have them. And then you'll squeeze a couple of those balls out and pop them in your mouth.
Starting point is 00:58:43 And you go, no. Say, yeah. What are we doing? Yeah, you're like, what is this? Malted milk or whatever it is? Not even, just malt? It's not a flavor of candy. Malt.
Starting point is 00:58:53 But I do. Every year I fall for it and try to give it another shake. Eh. Cinnamon jawbreakers. Or like a fireball, I guess what they mean. Frank had those. He just liked the fireballs. All the time. The atomic fireball.
Starting point is 00:59:05 Yeah. That might be the worst. Why? That's the worst candy. Well, I think you have a personal relationship with it. Like he was eating it all the time? Not all the time, but they were around. But they were just bad.
Starting point is 00:59:19 Was Frank like your grandma? I'm not. Frank like my grandma? and the fact that she wasn't supposed to smoke. So when she did smoke, she would immediately chew big red gum. Try to cover it up, did Frank smoke? Yeah, but he didn't hide it. He didn't hide it.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Oh, no, no, no. Maybe. Nanny would always have big red gum because you didn't want to smell cigarettes on her. I would say maybe it was his long run to hide whenever inevitably he would then fall off the wagon. If he just does it year round all the time, eventually it won't look crazy when he's used. Maybe, I don't know. Maybe I was just playing. But no, because he didn't just used him all the time.
Starting point is 00:59:51 but they were just, every once in a while, I remember trying one thinking like, oh, yeah, no, nobody likes those. I had, I had, nobody likes those. I had an atomic fireball at Boy Scout camp. I remember where and went and I had it, and I tried it, and I go, I don't need to try this again. And that was the one and only atomic fireball I ever had. It's the worst candy that there is. It's pretty bad candy. It's like the equivalent of when you'd get this cinnamon gum.
Starting point is 01:00:16 Do you ever do that where you lick the wrapper and stick it to your forehead and then it burns like a son of a bitch for no reason? Mm-hmm. Ah, get out of here. Of course, off-road loves mallpals. What about NECO wafers, Jimmy says? I, no, we've talked about those. Every year we talk about NECO waivers. The neckos and how they sell my manager to stay in business.
Starting point is 01:00:34 I don't know who's buying them. And they're just terrible. The chocolate one, it might be the only one because it has some taste to it. Yeah, the rest are just chalk. That's like saying I like a slight chocolate flavor to my chalk. These are the top boomer candies, according to the takeout. Smarties? Boomer Candy?
Starting point is 01:00:53 Maybe I take back the fireball thing. Those suck. You hate Smarties? Smarties suck. Wow. They're like... Where's the NECO wafer? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:03 Yeah. Yeah. Smarties are sugar. There's no redeeming quality about Smarties. I like it. I don't like... Well, hold on. It's all the candy...
Starting point is 01:01:11 I tolerate a Smarty's. It's all that candy dust that fell on the floor from other candies. I don't know, what if you just squeeze the bejes out of these into a little wafer? I think that's literally what... they're doing. It's just a runoff. Yeah. Cinnamon discs. What are cinnamon discs?
Starting point is 01:01:28 I don't know. It's a boomer candy. Oh, is it just like the sucking candy? A little cinnamon sucking candy? I've literally never seen these. Oh, they are not. They're like the individually wrapped red ones. These are some bad candies.
Starting point is 01:01:42 That's a boomer candy. I don't want a cinnamon disc. Yep. And again, most all sucking candies. This one knows no age. this candy knows no bounds. And this candy belongs in everyone's home. And that is the strawberry bonbons with the gooey center, the strawberry candy with the gooey center. But boomer candy, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:01 It's a boomer candy? Absolutely. Nanny used to have it at her house all the time. It was a good boomer candy, but damn it, I love it. Yep, boomer candy, though, sorry. Tootty rolls making the boomer candy list. Original, yeah. I mean, just because of how old they are and nobody,
Starting point is 01:02:17 nobody willingly goes out and buys Tootsie rules. Mm-hmm. Right? Nobody's got that on the shopping list. It's one of those that you just acquire. I think, you know what? That might be a true statement. Because I don't think I've ever purchased Tootsie Rolls,
Starting point is 01:02:32 but I've always had them around. Honey? Uh-huh. Are we out of Tutsi rolls again? The canister's empty. I don't know. Put it on the list. All right.
Starting point is 01:02:40 Wild. I do like the flavored ones. The fruities or whatever they're called. Oh, yeah. They have a name. They're different from tutsi rolls. Rover loves Tutsi rolls. I don't dislike them, but I've never sought them out.
Starting point is 01:02:53 I never purchased one. I like Tootty rolls. You know, I like the... Remember the long ones? Like a cigar? I was just going to say, I really like the long ones. And I like that, and I like the short chode ones. The chode tutsi rolls are delicious.
Starting point is 01:03:07 I'm surprised that Tutsi rolls haven't gotten more into, like, different things. Like, cookies with a Tutsi roll on it. They're never dabbled in other worlds. Well, because it's almost like, hey, do you want to... Like, if you put it on a cookie, it's like, hey, You want to eat a cookie and then for the next five minutes, chew this piece of chocolate. You're right. You're right.
Starting point is 01:03:25 What's your favorite boomer candy? Your grandma candy, your son of you were calling it. So as we've been covering here on this stupid show, smoking's cool again. Smoking's a bag, baby. Cigarettes a bag. It makes you look so hip. You look so cool and hip with your cigarettes, kids. I mean, you're just pretending.
Starting point is 01:03:43 At Palantir are so confident that AI will someday cure. your cancer, they're taking up smoking. They're smoking sags again. Have a sig. Now, I hope they're right. I hope that AI does cure cancer. I would love that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:01 Knock on wood. I know we have a lot of show fan that suffer or have suffered or survived and so on. It's a terrible disease. Let's cure it. I don't think mocking AI is a good idea or like getting in their face about it. Maybe it'll kickstart it getting it started here for going, oh, well, I guess, You're never going to solve it. So what's the point?
Starting point is 01:04:24 Shaihan Sankar says, if you understand it's actually the theological critique, then you kind of weigh it against the empirical facts of what is actually happening. I think there's a profound truth saying that every human... This is a lot of... Oh, boy. Yeah. In nonsense. No, I...
Starting point is 01:04:43 He goes on, every human has a God-shaped hole in their heart. Yeah. And that's how you fill it. You let Jesus fill your holes. I quote, I believe so much in AI that it's going to cure cancer, so I'm showing you my chips are all in. That he's just going to smoke and that it doesn't matter if he gets cancer because AI will fix it. I don't know if that's a good idea, bud. I don't want to be that guy, but I don't think any of the big ones get fixed with how pathetically rich it makes billionaires and trillionaires and all that.
Starting point is 01:05:16 I hate to be a pessimist like that. They've probably already cured it in the bottom. of these diseases like 10 times over. But again, that would not... Us, pores don't get to use that medicine? Well, it would stop making these people as rich as they are. But then why would Steve Jobs die of cancer? He was one of the richest people.
Starting point is 01:05:32 But that's... It's one of those where... Although he didn't believe in medicine at all. He was trying to eat fruit. Yeah, yeah. But it's sacrifices. No, we can't let it out there. Look at what happened.
Starting point is 01:05:42 Everyone, look, we gave a little bit to Mantig Johnson. And we went blabbing everywhere, and all of a sudden, everybody was suspicious of it. I wish I wasn't pessimistic. I would love for us to have a cure for cancer. Yeah, it just sucks. I don't know if tempting fate is a good idea. But yeah, don't just stand in front of it being like,
Starting point is 01:06:01 what are you going to do about it, AI? Check out my heater. Yeah, Melfire. Fill your holes with cigarettes and Jesus. I love it. Damn right. So, is this real? Hold on.
Starting point is 01:06:16 This is real? So, Bobby Boris P. Pick it. Everybody knows Monster Mash. We're in Monster Mash season. I don't love Monster Mash. Your favorite song? I didn't know he did a Christmas song, too. Did you? Is it just... Or do the Christmas tree?
Starting point is 01:06:33 Monsters holiday? What? So it's the Monster Mash, but for Christmas time. The Monster Mash song, you probably did... The Monster Mash Christmas song, you probably didn't know existed. The Dents out around that Christmas tree, Christmas tree. That was it. I have no point to play it now. There you go, I got it. Bobby Boris Pickett. Should I play it for those?
Starting point is 01:06:55 Doing Santa Claus. Oh, Santa Claus. Who wants to, uh, hold on, Monster Mash? We've talked about this before? I didn't know there was, there was a Christmas one. We have? I know he did a, he tried to do like a follow-up to this. Yeah, we've talked about the second Monster Mash or whatever it was.
Starting point is 01:07:16 It was like the Monster Mash part two. He released one light, When my eyes beheld An eerie sight For my monster from his slab began to rise. He released this song in 1962. Okay. The public loved the Halloween hit.
Starting point is 01:07:37 Several record labels rejected it. And the BBC banned it for being too morbid. Oh, you never right. Still climbed to the top of the charts in October. Everyone was doing the Monster Match. Boris knew how to push the envelope like no other. So come Christmas time, Boris is like, Rod it back, let's do another one, baby.
Starting point is 01:07:58 I mean, you might as well, because again, back then, there wasn't anything. This was the first of music, yes. This was the first of it, so they were all about it. They didn't know they hated this yet. Slay bells. Yep. Why are they not even in...
Starting point is 01:08:14 Towards the night before Christmas went all through the castle. My monsters were having a yuletide hassle. The tree was all trimmed and good. things like werewolf fangs and vampire wings. It was a monster's holiday. But they were out to know good. Didn't act like good monsters show? They found themselves a new prey.
Starting point is 01:08:39 If it ain't broke, don't fix it, Morris. I think this might be broke. I think this might be broke. It's literally Monster Mash. Yes. A new chain for Janusz. It's the same thing. for Igor's back
Starting point is 01:08:53 A speed shaver for Wolfman A new cape for drag Oh Ho ho ho To know To know a monster holiday They've found themselves My weirdo co-worker
Starting point is 01:09:09 plays this every damn year I love it I love it Mommy was to signal from the castle If I don't hear this Going through lights on the lake This is the one we know right Transylvania Twist
Starting point is 01:09:22 Is it? Well, maybe not. Oh, That's a shitty. This is the whole album, by the way. You didn't know that. What is this? Album, he didn't just release one song. I didn't think they were all the exact same song.
Starting point is 01:09:49 Want to go through it? How about? Blood Bank Blues. Oh. Bobby Boris. Maybe it kind of just sounded like you're ripping off everyone else's songs. They didn't have good mixing back then. Boris, can you speak up?
Starting point is 01:10:29 Blood blank blows. I'm sorry. How about graveyard shift? You can't hear me way back here? I don't understand. You don't want to be laid off for the stay on the job. This is really, really bad. But it's like you said, there wasn't any music.
Starting point is 01:10:48 No. What were your options? No, nobody did this yet. I paid a lot of strings to get you this position. Yeah, he's only really talking. He's not singing a song. Oh. Like, maybe it's my fault for having ears,
Starting point is 01:11:11 and I'm trying to understand, like, the... Yes, I agree. Like, this plot. No, there's no... This guy is, like, just got a job at the cemetery, and Boris is... Trying to give him a pep talk? You don't want to quit on your first night?
Starting point is 01:11:28 Well, now we're on the instrumental... Oh, oh, oh, that's really... Scully, I think I know. When the skeletons will at be witching hour. What I'm American. Scully, golly, galley. Scully, galley. Scully, galley.
Starting point is 01:11:43 Scully, galley. Hair, call. I like that. I got a harmonica guy in this. I mean, I guess I got nothing else going on. This album has 16 tracks. By the way, let's keep going. Go through all of them?
Starting point is 01:11:57 Yep. All 16. You're going to have to go ahead. Wolf Bain. All right. And starts out exactly the same. Everyone is the same song. Where's our harmonica guy?
Starting point is 01:12:09 A man in the horror movies we all live. Wolf bling. Who stalks these... How about the monster minuet? Oh! Announcing the Count and Countess of Transylvania. Oh. Oh.
Starting point is 01:12:28 Good evening, E. God. Would you check my cape, please? Good evening. It's a scene. So glad you and the Countess could attend my ball. I see several old friends here. There's Frankenstein. Because they used to tell stories back in the day.
Starting point is 01:12:46 Damn right they did. Nowadays. Now we're rushing right there over. We're just getting right to it instead of whining and dining first. Sinister stomp? But I take the stump because it's good for the cell. On a graveyard trial late one night, I tripped on a body and got quite a fright.
Starting point is 01:13:12 As my fear subsided my anger grew, I proceeded to stomp with the heel of my shoe. Oh. I like this one. It makes Frankie John. If you're just tuning in, we're going deep into the Bobby Boris Pickett album that gave us Monster Match. Who doesn't? Who doesn't want to go deep?
Starting point is 01:13:30 I mean. Me and my mommy? I think I know this one. Me and my mommy. Get it? Copyright infringement. Yeah, probably. So you could just rip off every song.
Starting point is 01:13:49 I saw her faith. Oh, ho. Like, there has to be one of our parents that went. Like, went and saw Bobby Boris Pickett live, right? What was his set list? Right. Closes with Monster Mash, obviously. A couple, couple times Monster Mash, obviously.
Starting point is 01:14:11 Monster motion? But back then, though, this was probably effing hilarious. He's killing it. He's a moderate, well, back then, Bo Bonham. Bo Bonham, Bo Burnham. Bo Burnham. He's locked in his life. They're like, oh my God, no way.
Starting point is 01:14:32 That was a good one. This is the Monster Mash worked into another song. It's brilliant. What's Monster Mash party? Boris Pickett, but I'm coming around to him. I like this album. You're a Monster Mash guy. You didn't even know it.
Starting point is 01:15:01 Irresistible Igor. These are so dumb. The thing about this, though, is that he wrote all of these. Yeah, he did. Or somebody did. He sat down. This is all him. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:25 He sat down and wrote these. Two more left. Two more. Two more. Bell is bash. Okay. Oh. Now, here's a hit.
Starting point is 01:15:35 Bender, Bender. When are you guys playing the next song? Yeah. It's been the same song. They're all the exact same one. I'm going to give you the old. I'm going to give you the old. Tinky finger.
Starting point is 01:15:49 For our weekly night out and our people feast. Oh. All right. All right. Last one. Let's fly away. Number 16.
Starting point is 01:16:02 This is 15 because number 16 is the monster's holiday. Oh, sorry. Then we go to Christmas at the end of it. Yes. Oh. Vampire. I've been waiting to get wacky. Yo, all right.
Starting point is 01:16:16 Vampire. Dracula. Oh, vampire. Oh, Dracula. I think we just heard Dracula and vampire have sex. I think we had to listen to that. I think we just had to listen. I'll take you through this journey because this is shocking.
Starting point is 01:16:59 As we start to see teaser videos for that movie Digger with Tom Cruise. And I can see like posters come out and like the trailer comes out. And I didn't understand what it was. And I keep checking in on it with you guys. You kind of been on this whole journey with me. Yeah. Because Cody and I, as weird as he is, we kind of like Tom Cruise. movies. I love Tom Cruise. I like him and stuff. I already love this way more than
Starting point is 01:17:24 his corner. I think I give Tom Cruise a chance. Yeah, he's a weirdo and I don't like the Scientology stuff. No, no, that stuff is absolutely. But like as a movie star, batish crazy. He's a great movie star. So then it's like people are like, hey, this Digger movie's kind of weird when it comes out. And then people are like, I don't get this Digger movie. As we said in the beginning. We didn't really know what it was about. No, I saw the weird trailers and then I just saw the little description of a billionaire oil tycoon or something tries to show that he wasn't responsible for all the things he was responsible for or something. It is now on track to be the biggest flop of all time.
Starting point is 01:18:14 They spent a lot on it? When you think, what's the biggest flop of all time? going to come to movies. Water world. Waterworld is what you think, right? Yeah. Waterworld lost. Well, hold on. Because I mean, I can't believe this would have a budget bigger than. Waterworld lost. Than a water world. Like about $100 million it looks like. Okay. Rightfully so. They spent a ton of money on it. I don't have the exact number, but it lost some money. Digger is on track to lose $245 million. Well, see, then that's the problem of the people around it. That's the marketing people spending as much as you had to market this.
Starting point is 01:19:00 Because there's no way it cost that much to make, right? I don't, although, again, I haven't seen it. Is it like a J.J. Abrams thing where there's crazy explosions? Well, I guess it's this, this, everything. I read on Reddit about it is it's like this director, Alejandro Inaritu. Oh, okay. I don't know him, but he did that.
Starting point is 01:19:24 What's that of the one I like, a Michael Keaton movie where he's like the... Oh, the, not Moth thing. Birdman, Birdman. He does like artsy films. Yeah. So there's no way this costs that much, right? Well, they put in, okay, hold on a second. The studio is bracing for a large,
Starting point is 01:19:43 flop, the movie declined 60% domestically. How much did it cost to make? Where is that? The movie needs $350 million to break even. Oh my God. How did it cost this much? A Warner Brothers executive, even $300 million would be falling short. Oh, my.
Starting point is 01:20:04 What do you see? The studio spent $100 million on global marketing. But they didn't tell us what it was. No. We came in here weeks ago saying we keep seeing ads for Digger, but we don't know what it is. Cost $160 and $180 to make. The budget was only $125. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:20:23 So they were already over right there, and then they were like, yeah, but drop another 100. I'm sure it's not cheap to get Tom Cruise. Mm-mm. Yeah, I bet that was a big... John Goodman, the cast that they got. I bet that was a big chunk of it. Trying to play a clip. Digger here got us into this mess, and Digger's going to dig us out.
Starting point is 01:20:40 I wouldn't expect that. Okay. See, I don't know what it is. I feel like we keep coming back to digger, and I'm sorry, but I'm just fascinated by... He doesn't make a lot. How much did he get paid for this? That, it just says how much he makes per, like,
Starting point is 01:21:01 you know, his upfront salary of 20 to 25 million a movie, but he actually gets more because of, you know, earnings and all that stuff on the movie. Like, I know, I know... This one. This was like his Oscar, like attempt. He was trying. I'll wait until it's streaming. I'll watch it. Yeah. If I wasted two and a half hours on that heaping piece of garbage disclosure day, I can watch
Starting point is 01:21:25 this for two hours if it's whatever. If you have not seen Disclosure Day and don't watch spoilers, come back in five minutes because I'm going to read you Cody's real-time crash out. Because it just came out on Peacock. So I'm glad I didn't wait to experience the treasure that is this film. I get a text last night. And again, there are. spoilers on this. So if you want to watch Disclosure Day, careful. Careful. Here we go. Cody said, I really disliked Disclosure Day. And I said, oh, you just watched it? He said, yeah, I watched it when I got home.
Starting point is 01:21:55 There was like 10 minutes of the movie that should have been two hours. 10 minutes of the movie should have been two hours of weird, stupid BS. It didn't matter, but they wanted to feel smart. You warn me, it wasn't what it seems it was. And I don't remember what I liked or didn't like it. You told me, you said it was not like a a sign-style alien movie. Yeah, that's right. It's not.
Starting point is 01:22:18 It was two hours of them battling over these crystals that allowed you to communicate with anybody, anyhow, and allowed you to, like, see what they were saying in their head and all their thoughts and feelings. And I don't remember any of this stuff. All of that weird stuff. Cody said for like five minutes. minutes it was the movie everyone wanted, then two hours and 20 minutes of dumb ass. Yeah. It's just they couldn't decide.
Starting point is 01:22:49 They were like, all right, well, let's keep them hooked. Every, like, half an hour, we'll give them a minute and a half or so of something that you would normally see. And then, like, there was that scene where then, you know, they finally explained in the beginning. Also, it was also a very hokey beginning. The whole, like, the guy smuggling the stuff out. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. just like, this is how you're opening the movie? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:15 It just seemed shot poorly and just not how you expect. I might need to watch it again. You could have it in the background. And then I was like, okay, here we go. The guy is explaining what is happening to the weird Jesus lady where they showed how they have some of the aliens. And then the guy immediately closed the laptop and they never go back to any of the footage that he's got ever again. Even though he's got all of the alien. footage that you've ever wanted to see in your entire life all on his laptop.
Starting point is 01:23:45 Let's show a 20-second clip of it that never, ever, ever go back to the most interesting part of the entire movie. And then how does it end? It ends with the adult version of the men in black aliens showing up and clicking in the guy's ear for 30 to 45 seconds. And then he, for 30 to 45 seconds, talks into Jim's wife. And then Jim's wife stands in front of the world and relays that 30 to 45 long, message as
Starting point is 01:24:12 listen. Movie ends. Yeah, he was mad about it. And it wasn't like there was more. No, that was it. That's the message that Dalyan had to the world.
Starting point is 01:24:25 Listen. Do you think it's because they gave Spielberg like a lot of, like, they're like, no, it's Spielberg. We ought to pretend like it was really good. Yes, and it had to be, it was smarter than it needed. I wonder how I felt about it.
Starting point is 01:24:35 Oh, it was such a good smart move. I'll put it back on. I'll put it back on because now I don't remember. I don't remember anything you're telling me. That must, It must not be a good movie if I can't recall all these things you're talking about. It was terrible. It was every couple minutes they wanted to make it a cool alien movie.
Starting point is 01:24:52 And then they just were like, yeah, but what if we focus real hard on this weird crystal that they, weird crystal stick that they're all obsessed with? And then you got to give two and a half hours of your Sunday to it or Monday, I guess, yesterday. Finally, Amy Grant getting her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Why do I not? Their name sounds familiar. and I can't. Top minivan artists of my life was Amy Grant.
Starting point is 01:25:17 Wilson Phillips and Amy Grant where the two cassettes Tam Tam had. Which, I can't. Oh, buddy. Hit me a little Amy Grant. Real quick. Hold on a second. Hold on a second.
Starting point is 01:25:26 Hold on. I got to get out of Bobby Boris Pickett. Which is always a bad idea, but for this one time, it's okay. Because I'm thinking of somebody else. Back, baby. Who am I thinking of? You know Amy Grant. Oh, this is her?
Starting point is 01:25:41 Interesting. Does she have Christmas stuff too? Oh my God, does she have Christmas stuff? I think that's why I know her. I think that's why I know her. We were allowed to listen to Amy Grant because she was a Christian. Oh, is she now? 90s mom bangers.
Starting point is 01:26:04 She's wearing cobblades, so. All right. Okay, I do know her. I can't remember who I'm thinking of, though, so maybe it is her that I was thinking of in the first place. She has one of my favorite songs of all time. Not this one, the other one I'm going to play a second. But yeah, you know her Christmas albums.
Starting point is 01:26:25 I guarantee you Deb was banging too early for me to play it. Probably why. I know there's a Christmas ones, I bet. Oh, all right, this, this, I am unironically listening to this song still in 2006, and I put it out in house parties from time to time. This is more popular than that first one? No, baby baby was her hit. Oh, gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
Starting point is 01:26:50 This was her second single, but. But you like this one better than the first one. Your second scoop of Amy Grant is better than your first scoop. You're not telling me to dance this board as well. Oh, she's married to Amy Grant's station. Oh, she's married to Vince Giff? Talk about a power couple. Yes, she is.
Starting point is 01:27:19 And she was sick for a little while. She's better now. Oh, really? Oh, geez. This is every late 80s montage in a movie where they're getting things done, cleaning something that's got to be cleaned. God, I love Amy Grant. Oh, congratulations, Amy.
Starting point is 01:27:46 Wait, why again? She got a star on the Highland Walk in Fame. Oh, okay. Congratulations, Amy. May your star rest in peace. I don't have this kind of money, and I don't even know if you would do this surgery. But a father gifted his son with limb lengthening surgery.
Starting point is 01:28:06 Like the Southwark episode where Kyle plays basketball? Does he? Well, this father. There's 5'2, and he's been self-conscious about that his whole life. No, I don't care anymore. So his kid was only 5-6. And I say only 5-6, that's pretty average, right? That's fine.
Starting point is 01:28:20 I'd be 5-6. I'll take that. He gave him the gift of limb lengthening surgery, which I think usually ends up pretty painful and bad, right? It's supposed to be really, really, really painful. 150 grand. As someone that has had their leg snapped in half, which is what you have to do, it ain't nice. He went from 5-6 to...
Starting point is 01:28:41 to 5-9. That's it? I think you can't go much more than that. But that's still, in the terms of like, oh, you're short, that's still short. Yeah. Five, six, and five-nine, aren't that much different. I don't know why these ladies are always like, nobody under six feet tall. Most people are under six feet tall.
Starting point is 01:29:00 And that doesn't make you a good person because you're tall. That's what always confused me where they're like, I look for green flags and you're be tall. I'm like that that's the opposite of look, that's not a green flag because you're tall. Yeah, I don't know why height matters in relationships, but all right, go ahead and you do you. I can sort of get it if you're like a self-conscious lady that's like 6-3. Oh, yeah, you don't want someone next to you who doesn't. Hit me up, y'all. Yo.
Starting point is 01:29:27 Awesome. Six-three. Climb you like a jungle. Hey, listen, we love our short kings on this show. But I get if you're like, no, I want to be with, you know, six, five, because I'm always taller. But with everything, wherever you go, there you are. So even making you three inches taller, is that going to solve? It ain't going to matter.
Starting point is 01:29:44 A lot of problems. Like that's going to be, that's what the difference was. So you got this, you got turned down by some person. Now, and that was there. Well, if you were only three inches taller. Well, I got to stand on what I always say and I support gender affirming care. And this guy says he ultimately felt more comfortable in his body afterwards. Well, yeah, everyone wants to be taller.
Starting point is 01:30:05 But that's a little, I don't know. It matters less as I got older. I was very worried about it growing up. I was like, well, I'm effed. But it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Hight doesn't matter. I mean, there are people that care, but who cares?
Starting point is 01:30:20 No, in the sense of to other people, oh, it matters. To other people, it matters. I got a little stool that I can use in my kitchen to create some things that are way up high. I'm all set. Yeah. What am I going to do? And I speak from a world. of privilege as I have been a tall for many times many years in my life.
Starting point is 01:30:41 Yeah, but when it rains, you, you get hit first where I'm, wait, I don't, stay drier. But, but the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. The Lord gave me height and a grink crank, and took away my hair and I've got IBS. So you see? Yeah, no, that's why when I equals out. When I have mine things, I'm like, you can't, you got, you got to give me a break on one of me here, bud. When you do get mad, I get mad with you. You get to be tall and handsome and good at sports.
Starting point is 01:31:12 Right. Like, come on. You're taking too many. It's not a balance. Or I get mad on people that, like, you could, that person is that. You couldn't give me like two of those. It doesn't matter. Right.
Starting point is 01:31:23 Look, I'm tall. That's 6-8. Make him 6-6. Give Cody two more. You had to be 6-8. Everybody knows that the Lord only has so many inches to give away. I'll tell you where I got all the inches, though. Experts caution on this cosmetic surgery as it can be extremely painful and does not treat the underlying psychological distress you may have from being short.
Starting point is 01:31:46 And knowing what they have to do to get the rod out of my leg now, I have to imagine it's probably very similar if you want your legs lengthened. Like they have to snap my leg in half. That's the only way you can elongate your legs, I would imagine. to extend your legs, grow a beard, change your hair, whatever makes you feel better by yourself. But like, where are you getting the skin? I think it's a slow process. I literally, I think it's like a slow crank. There's a middle or they just.
Starting point is 01:32:19 It's not immediate. I think it takes a long time from what I've seen. They stretch you out? Yeah, it's like a slow. I think they break the bones. And then, I don't know, I'm speaking out of my school now, but it's like, it's like a little bit more, a little bit more. Oh, I thought they were like, snap. wants to put some rods in there and then
Starting point is 01:32:37 I'm gonna throw up How does limb lengthening work? The process uses body's natural ability to heal broken bones to slowly grow new bone over time So what do you? Like they break it and then put cadaver bones in the spaces
Starting point is 01:32:57 And then the bones Heel around each other Like how I got Robocop With the bone that grafted around the The rod in my leg? Sgt makes a small incision and cuts to the target bone. I'm a throw apart. Breaks the bone into two segments.
Starting point is 01:33:10 Are you going to throw up? Implants an internal magnetic nail. Already going to throw up. Like a telescoping rod that slowly grow. I guess like it'll break it and then for 10 days it'll heal. Then it breaks it again and it keeps going. You grow one millimeter per day. No.
Starting point is 01:33:31 No. Uh-uh. You, uh-oh. I just feel, all right, listen, I can't. It's not. Whatever you got to do to feel better in your body. Yeah, but that ain't it. That's going to be a lot of.
Starting point is 01:33:42 Go to a therapist first. Yeah, it's okay. Talk it out. Talk it out before you have the most horrific surgeries you ever have your entire life. And it's going to last forever. That pain's going to be forever. And when it comes to the people that are, you know, the shallow ones when it comes to be in, you know, 5, 6, I'm telling you right now, they're not going to care that you're 5, 9.
Starting point is 01:34:04 That's still going to be short to the people that are the matter to. Unless you're going, you've got to be going from like middle fives to low sixes. And there's plenty of ladies that love a short king, so don't even worry about it, all right? And when I'm driving you to get chicken tennies, we're all the same side. Exactly right. This is the time of year my demonic depression sets in. I'm just a real sad demon. Oh, you're a sad demon now?
Starting point is 01:34:28 I just sit up on my perch and I really, I think, you know, this could be better. I'm a sad demon. I listen to a lot of Elliot Smith. You're like a gargoyle that always has to constantly swipe his hair from him. You know, it's just raining now, and I'm just a demon out here. I'm going to purring about it. Guess I won't fly and haunt anybody in the woods today. We're going to play a little golf, a little falltime golf.
Starting point is 01:34:52 Twitch.comtee slash the show. That's the one very nice. We'll be playing that course. Gaming stream, powered by Ryan Phelps Auto Sales. You are buying styling, profiling, jet plane flying. side of bus riding? I did see that one. On a bus recently?
Starting point is 01:35:07 Shout out, Rye. That's awesome. Now everybody's got these cars from Wright Phelps so I can't catch them. They're used to just be out walking around on the ground and I could swoop down and gobble them. Now they've got cars. Right.
Starting point is 01:35:23 Two motorcycles that together will want. Twitch. Dot TV slash the show. The show. Atm. Radio world, you get the 90s at 9. The little sound guard. It's K-Rock.
