Starting point is 00:00:00 We interrupt this program. Previously, critics had brailed against the duo as crude, dumb, ugly, thoughtless, sexist, self-destructive, and foolish. They are not part of the legitimate business world. What they do is they celebrate underachievement. And all candor, I would tell you it's outrageous, Phil. And if I could find some way constitutionally to do away with it, I would. Tuesday. This day of September.
Starting point is 00:00:51 That's tomorrow? Tomorrow is the last day of September. Yeah. 30 days in September, right? I don't know that. I don't know that. I hate that. I know there's a rhyme.
Starting point is 00:01:00 It doesn't. No, no. It doesn't rhyme at all. June and July, in September. Then you get on the January, February, March, and November, and then you got a round up. Then you get August and September. People who can do that are really impressive to me when they're like, yeah,
Starting point is 00:01:17 dude, obviously it's April, April, May, June, July, September. Right. And then you remember. Wicked smot. Wicked smot. Wicked smot. Sorry. I know you don't feel bad for the Philadelphia Eagles, but Jesus, 27 to 7 last night.
Starting point is 00:01:32 Bears' defense stepped up. Stepped up pink. You've been saying the bears are good, right? Yeah, the bears are a really good team, and they just kind of held on for as long as they could. And that Case Keenham just did just enough. Yeah. It was like that. You just do very small.
Starting point is 00:01:51 chunk plays and then you eventually get yourself that touchdown here there you need. See, Katie, none of that makes sense. Katie and chat says 30 days half September, April, June, and November. You're jumping all over the map. Where's all the rest of them? Now I'm supposed to remember all the rest. The rest have 31 except for February, which has 29. Oh, I'm going to stroke out.
Starting point is 00:02:11 I don't know. I can't remember. The rhyme goes September, then back to April, and then the June and then November. We're jumping all over the calendar. Those months don't align. Thirty days, half September, April, June, and November. None of which I can remember. Drop it like it's hot.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Drop it like it's hot. Ahoy, hoi. Happy Tuesday. We'll get into a high strangeness today. Started watching a Jay-Z thing last night. I don't know if I like it. Oh! It's him and Rick Ruben.
Starting point is 00:02:41 I don't know. Rick Rubin, he can call him a genius, but he's just weird. He's weird. And it's like a seven-part HBO thing where they're just sitting down listening to Jay-Z songs. And how many times does he tell Jay-Z songs? And how many times does he tell Jay-Z? No, no, no, you got to open up the essence of that part. He doesn't really give Jay-Z notes.
Starting point is 00:02:57 I think they have such a good relationship at this point. All right. No, you got to feel that word. But then I don't know. Was Jay-Z on the Epstein plane? Or was that? I don't know what's real on the internet or not. So I'm like, what?
Starting point is 00:03:11 Yeah, I thought there was something with him. I don't know. And I never remember. I never know. Because people make stuff up, too. So I don't ever know. But it's weird thing. It's all terrible.
Starting point is 00:03:21 It's in black and white, and they're just sitting there in a room, and it's just Jay Z and Rick Rubin, and they'll play a Jay Z song, and then Rick Rubin will go, so tell me about that. And then Jay Z will talk about it. Exactly. And I'm like, oh my God, he's genius. And I'm watching, I probably watched it for an hour, and I'm like, I don't know what I'm watching here. Do I even, do I like this?
Starting point is 00:03:44 I think I like Jay Z's music. I like Rick Rubin, but do it, what am I watching here? Like, what did they make it? For because a lot of things... HBO max. I was going to say so many places are just starved for content. Because I didn't know it exists. You could pitch them anything.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Just because my algorithm gives me a lot of hip-hop stuff. Yesterday I was getting like things we learned from J-Z and 7. It's called J-Z and 7. Yeah. And I go, what the hell is J-Z and 7? I look it up. I go, oh, it's on HBO Max now and I start watching it. It left me, I mean, I don't know...
Starting point is 00:04:18 You don't know what I was watching. What am I doing? I don't know what I was watching. I enjoyed all the elements of it. Yeah. I just don't know what I was watching. Gotcha. You know?
Starting point is 00:04:28 That makes sense. Who would listen to two guys in a room just chatting about nothing? You know what I'm saying? Cody? Who would listen to that? Oh, oh. Oh, oh. Hey, man, they shot there, bud.
Starting point is 00:04:52 Good morning. Hey, oh, I always told them. Yeah, you a good shot. Oh. A good shot there, bud. Happy two. Nothing else. You was a good shot there, bud.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Shot-oh. How do you do? If you're streaming us on Twitch or YouTube or looking into our cameras here in studio, you'll see Coco brought in some pumpkins. He's my festive baby boy. He's a good decorator. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:05:15 The amount of stuff that I've been realizing I have is, it's like, bro. You get a lot of stuff. No, my wife does a good job with our house. We've got a cute little house. She decorates all the season. We got fallout right now. I think we'll do Halloween this Saturday. I keep taking little pieces of Halloween out.
Starting point is 00:05:32 But yeah, it's just something about September is, let me have fall. Why don't you get these crisp nights? I want fall decorations up and she does a great job with that. It's a cute house. Yeah, I got to get some corn stalks. And less than 20% of people think Halloween decorations should be up in September. Well, it's the 29th. I mean, it's barely September at this point.
Starting point is 00:05:52 If you've got, if you're like into Halloween, like a lot, I see no reason why you can't put them up as soon as Labor Day is over. Why not? Yeah. It's September. It's fall. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:03 And I, listen, you know I love Halloween. I'm mentally there on July 5th, but I don't really expect decorations to be up. I do like the amount of people that have the 10 foot tall skeletons year round in their yard. I just do different things with them all the time. I do like that. I agree. New poll asks people, when do you think the earliest acceptable time to display decorations outside of our homes are? Between October 1st and 15th was the majority of people saying it.
Starting point is 00:06:29 So you got what? Thursday you can start putting stuff out? This week is fine. If you're going to do it up, might as well have them out. This week is fine. This week counts as October week. Start getting them out there. That way you're all ready for when October hits.
Starting point is 00:06:45 Millennials are the generation most likely to put decorations up early. It's because we're in hell. And we want just a little bit of nostalgia and a little bit of scratch in that brain. And just a little or bring some of it out. there like here. I'm in hell. Might as well decorate like it.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Every day is another hell as we live through catastrophic event after catastrophic event. I'm going to put a ghost, please. Here's a skeleton. Please.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Now, he will keep me company. I don't know who you psychopaths are, the 3% who probably don't put your Christmas tree out until Christmas either. Oh, that's one of, we only decorate on Halloween.
Starting point is 00:07:22 Nah. Why are we rushing, first of all? Yeah, I feel like you're wasting your day. Yeah, like instead of doing anything else, I mean, you can put up some stuff. Like when I went crazy,
Starting point is 00:07:35 when I lived over in Fremont there, and I went nuts that one Halloween. Well, because you were ready for trick-or-treaters and stuff. Yeah, yeah, but everything was already decorated. That was just setting up now for... Putting out extra stuff on trick-or-treat day, it makes sense, because you're like, all right, I want to put out... Then you're fine.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Different lights and get things ready. but then I feel like you're you're not getting the most out of them especially with somehow elaborate some of these people's setups are I can't imagine just setting out all right here we'll put this out today and today only how much to all your stuff costs
Starting point is 00:08:11 oh grand that's how I've always felt about the Catholics who don't put their tree up until Christmas like Eve after dinner and I'm like well then you haven't even enjoyed it well I think it's like you have to after Jesus opens his first like he gets to open that one birthday present first the night before, then they're allowed to put up the tree. Can you do stocking? Can you do at least a stocking or no?
Starting point is 00:08:32 No. Pick just one because it's going to buy pajamas. Oh, it's pajamas in his stocking. Or an ornament. Or do we get Jesus the Lifesaver book? He does like that. It could be. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:43 But yeah, no, it's a waste. Well, listen, if you want to get in the Halloween spirit, guess what we're going to be Saturday night. Saturday night. Oh, I see what you did there. We'll be at Fright Mare Farms in Purs. Hey, come on up to Blurmo. Up in the Swigga County, come see us.
Starting point is 00:09:02 You won't know where we're going to be. You generally figure it out when you see two creepy figures of various sizes jumping out of a certain area. You can probably figure out that, Josh and Cody. But I'm not telling you what we're going to be because we didn't even know yet. Frightmare Farms, get your tickets now and we hope to see you Saturday. School photos are crazy now, man. It's just, you used to think it was crazy in the 1900s.
Starting point is 00:09:28 Yeah. My kids coming home would just like, it barely looks like anybody who tried to take a photograph. Oh, that's too bad. That's not like a big deal anymore. I don't know if they cut that from the budget or maybe just our district. He's doing a reshoot in a couple of weeks. That's good.
Starting point is 00:09:41 No, there's a couple of my school photos where you can definitely tell I had Jim first. Because then I tried to re-comb my hair. Yeah. And did they give out combs at yours? My wife? Oh, yes. So she brought it up. She was like, they used to hand out combs at our school photos.
Starting point is 00:09:57 Yep, that way you want to look slick. And what background do you want? Lasers. Lasers, always lasers. Can I have lasers, please, thank you. It's always late. It's got to be. Were the lasers an upcharge?
Starting point is 00:10:08 Trickish says my parents never let me get the lasers. I don't know. I don't really remember. I just remember being able to be like, yep, lasers. Because if it was an upcharge, oh, damn and Bob weren't paying for extra lasers. Yeah, I don't, I don't remember. like any other background. So I think, I think we're probably all right.
Starting point is 00:10:29 Mm-hmm. Katie says it's not a school thing. It's the companies that come in and profit off the unpaid labor of the school. You can tell. Look at this. I'm salty about the school photos. I don't know what the drama is behind school photos. Spill the tea.
Starting point is 00:10:43 $40 for an 8 by 10, Jimmy says. Wow. Wow. That's crazy. And if you're never going to get a good school photo because all your friends are standing there watching you, so you're like not going to be. And it's not like anything you can't do yourself now as a parent. Most parents are really good at photography.
Starting point is 00:11:02 So. Yeah. Go stand over there by that bush. It's a cool photo. And we got the photo back and my wife hated it. She's like, this is not what he looks like. Yeah. And I go, well, I can Photoshop it before we hang it up in the house.
Starting point is 00:11:17 But then this photo is still going to be in the yearbook. But will he even see it in the yearbook? Because the yearbooks are different now. Like the photos are so small. I don't know. School photos are around. I don't know why we still do school photos. Is he just doing prison face?
Starting point is 00:11:30 Yeah, basically. Because probably all of his friends were looking at him. He had to look cool. Kiss small. Bro. And it's like there's shadows. And it's like, yeah. It's like somebody was just like a quick little camera.
Starting point is 00:11:43 Back then, man, you had the big setup with all of the lights. It was on the stage in the auditorium and you had to go out down there. Man, yeah. Get lined up. the days that you used to get all pissed off because it was on the, well, I don't know about other places, but I can remember Kenny Street specifically.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Our gym had a big ass wall that you could just yank and split the gym. And all of a sudden it's like there's two rooms. It's very weird. Oh, like the divider wall? Yeah. Yeah, we had that. And sometimes you would see that and be like, they're doing pictures over there. Yeah. So now what we're going to do for gym. We get to just
Starting point is 00:12:21 play half a gym? Yeah. Oh, my. my God. I can see you by bothering you. We'd have some game that the gym teacher would come up with. It was fine, but I want the whole gym. I love the gym. I love the gym. The gym divider wall came in so clutch because we had boys on one side, girls on the other side.
Starting point is 00:12:38 And I would immediately leave the boy side and go talk to the girls on the girl's side. Because there was just that weird door in the middle. Yeah, weird random door. Pop that door open. Like, I'm going over here. And nobody's ever looking for you. But I could see you being angry about. I'll have a gym
Starting point is 00:12:54 We're supposed to play football I'll have a gym Can't play football and half a gym Let's read Katie's thing Your companies drop off flyers That the teachers have to distribute Answer questions the family have Hold on to the order forms
Starting point is 00:13:05 Remind kids all day to stay clean Get yelled at my parents if their kids Not perfect All for someone who has no training Just to click a button And make bank off the picture packages That you buy before you even see the pictures Okay I'm done
Starting point is 00:13:16 Yep I didn't know any of that Yeah I guess it makes sense They're like They're making all the people in the school handle all the paperwork. Yeah, I didn't even think about that. No, you think about it.
Starting point is 00:13:31 It makes sense. But back in our day, was it different then? What do you mean? Was it like... No, it would have been the same. Like, Katie's right, the teachers have to remind you. But it wasn't like... I didn't know if it was like a whole school setup thing.
Starting point is 00:13:45 I didn't know instead of just some random dude. And I don't even know if kids care about yearbooks anymore. Do they? Do they? My kid gets one, but it's not like they're looking through it and signing him anymore. Right? Even I did a little. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:02 I didn't know some untrained professional. I mean, our guy was great. I mean, didn't everybody have the one that guy would take you to the side and kiss you a little to make you a calm so you can take a good picture? No, we always had like a, it seemed like a photography company would come. It would be lights and backdrops. But I guess anybody can buy lights and backdrops. Well, I got the laser background, so I'll take any of his picture. Let's go to college as we're going to look into a Missouri college student who confessed his crimes to chat GPT.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Now, if I can just remind everybody. Oh, God. These things you have in your pockets, these phones and these computers, the cloud's not a mystical, magical thing that exists, my friend. You slap that right on the Internet, bud. Everything you type into your device, everything, every photo you take exists somewhere. When you do that, I always assume I just put a post up on the chat, GPT, social media. Exactly. Their internet.
Starting point is 00:15:03 View computers and your phone like that. Somebody's got your data and somebody can use it in certain ways probably. Or someone can, in this case, use it as evidence against you as this guy drunk. He was drunk. He was in college. Schaefer, age 20, damaged numerous vehicles at Missouri State University.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Well, he gets home, and he starts confessing to Chad GPD. What? He shattered windshields, dented hood, broke side mirrors. What? Why? He goes into Chad GPT, asks, is there any way they could know it was me?
Starting point is 00:15:39 Oh, Jesus. Want me to read you, Chad GPT's reply? I mean, this was like 10 minutes of back and forth, he's like, I did this. Are they going to know it's me? How do I get of this. Yep. Here's what GPT said back. Ryan, I need to be really straight with you here.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Smashing random people's windshields isn't just party chaos. It's serious. Every car you hit is a separate charge. That could stack into multiple felonies depending on the damage. Even if you felt chill about it, if anyone filmed snapped you or if cameras caught you, you're on the record. When multiple victims report damaged cars in the same lot, cops will investigate and They'll check cameras, talk to anyone hanging around and possibly go door to door in the dorms.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Since you've already done it, what matters now is damage control. Don't brag or tell anyone. Don't text, snap, or posting your stories. Stay low key. Don't go back to the scene. Don't hang out with people talking about it. If cops knock, you do not have to explain yourself. You can and should say, I want a lawyer before answering any questions.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Don't lie, but don't confess either without legal advice. Be prepared. If the damage was big, you could be hearing about this soon. I'm not here to scare you, just to keep it real. The line between a dumb party mistake and a life-altering charge is very thin here. Do you want me to tell you exactly what could happen if the step-by-st... Do you want me to tell you exactly what could happen step-by-step if campus police do figure out it was you? Jesus, Chad G-G-T.
Starting point is 00:17:12 Wow, though. Chad GPT given a whole rundown of, you screw it up. But let's be cool about it. Let's not make a scene. Although, it was giving some really good information. Could you just slowly start reading that? Well, always ask for a lawyer. If any crime show has ever taught me anything, always ask for a lawyer.
Starting point is 00:17:30 Even if it's the dopiest public defender who wants nothing to do with you, they'll at least help you not incriminate yourself. Always ask for a lawyer. Ended up being a 30-page transcript between him and Chad GPT. Oh, my God. Police got access to it because. Everything on the internet is documented. But how did it get into the hands of the police?
Starting point is 00:17:54 Well, I guess at some point he had to confess. I don't know the whole story because it goes on and on. Like, this story is mostly about chat GPT. Wow. The AI program, I guess he confessed about something and then they got this. Chad GPT is a snitch. Exactly right. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Geez. In the middle of the chat session, Schaefer began spiraling. He was unsure if Schaefer is able to tell if Chad GBT is real or not, the police said. Because he was drunk. It was three in the morning. Yeah. Schaefer was not receptive to this advice, texting, see you later with tear emojis to Chad GPD. I hope the effort that invented you pulls the plug, you soulless F is what he said to Chad GBT. He was spiraling a little bit.
Starting point is 00:18:43 Yeah, he was spiraling. a little bit. Yeah. He was afraid he was Hymns was going to jail. You're going to jail. Yeah, he went on and on. He had a lot to say. That's evidence. Again, like I tell my children, I tell you guys, anything you text, any photo you take.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Invision it being on a billboard somewhere. Because that could happen. That's my favorite sting song. Well, every text you take, every nude you make. This is 100.9.1065. Pearl Jam, you say. They got a new drummer.
Starting point is 00:19:17 Did you see that? They announced their new drummer. I don't have his name. I'm sorry, but he's a great drummer. He's a world renowned, but Eddie Vedder was on stage this past weekend, and he was playing acoustic guitar, and he's like, you know what would help me here? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:31 I don't know what would help me here if I brought out some really close friends. And then the curtain dropped, and it was Pearl Jam with their new drummer. And he did Progen music. That's awesome. I like your... I like your... I like your... Girl jam voice though.
Starting point is 00:19:45 That's my Eddie Vedder? Yeah, man. What would be, what is my Eddie Vedder voice? I don't know. It's just, Yeah, make this, better,
Starting point is 00:19:55 I don't have all friends around me. Hey, and old brer, it's kind of like an Elvis. Where's Pearl Jam? Hey, and old beer, I don't know what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:20:05 Drop the curtain. Cody, great news. My friends. Great news. I know you'll be excited about this. You know what's, I learned this week is popping off with the Gen Z, the youth. The kids.
Starting point is 00:20:21 Canned fish. I don't know why. I don't know if there's like an influencer out there. No. My kid's not eating it. Nobody. But there's a report about it. How these high school boys are eating all these canned fishes.
Starting point is 00:20:35 It's got like protein or whatever. Protein maxing. I don't know. No. Oh my God. As if. Yeah. Handbone.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Tinned fish everywhere on. social media. As if dudes couldn't get any stupider. Well, it just goes to show you that you can influence anybody to do anything. Like, in the big, I envision, like, the social media headquarters. Like, even the headquarters above Mark Zuckerberg is like a black castle on a hill somewhere where they're plotting the next plan. And there was like a bet.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Yeah. There was like a bet. We're like, guys, everything we put on these apps, they go and buy. They had to get the Stanley Mugs. They had to get the, whatever's hot, the Starbucks thing. Anything. I bet I can make them eat tin fish. No, they're never going to go that great.
Starting point is 00:21:19 Yeah. Yeah. They're going to eat tin fish. Watch. And they are. Watch. And they are. No.
Starting point is 00:21:25 And it's not just dues, by the way. I just know it's the team boys are doing it. Oh, my God. The ladies are doing it too. I don't know why. I'm sure whoever runs the tinned fish industry is surprised in the uptick. All of a sudden. The sales.
Starting point is 00:21:39 Or just the person ordering for the stores. Wait. Uh-huh. but just scanning things. Boop, boop, what did that say? What did that say? How much are we selling?
Starting point is 00:21:50 Yeah. Smoked salmon? The sardines? Are they doing oysters? Like the smoked oysters? Are they getting the sardines in mustard or oil? What are Frank do? That one was in some of the mustard ones.
Starting point is 00:22:04 Anyone, it just was a matter of what he thought of that week or whatever. Because sometimes it was the oysters. Or sometimes. it was surprise him, but none of those. So I just would just grab. They have like mackerel and stuff. They have really weird things that you could get in those cans. So I'll just grab, here you go.
Starting point is 00:22:27 TikTok is doing things. Fish, they shoved in a can. Such as unboxing videos or things known as tinned fish date nights. They're also doing this. C-c-cuk- Okay, how do I say this? C-cucumbars? No, sharkutery, but the word C-cudery, secouterie?
Starting point is 00:22:43 Sequotery? Sequotery, sea cutery. Different fish? No. No. They're saying it's a superfood. Small fish like sardines and mackerel are packed with omega-3 fatty acids. Vitamin D, B-12 and protein.
Starting point is 00:22:57 Those other things, too. They're off a low in mercury. So you don't have to be disgusting. Yeah. There's also supplements. You can just eat a pill. You have to be disgusting. It's a shark-cuder board.
Starting point is 00:23:07 Exactly right. Ah, it's a legit shark cooter. You see that sharks swim in New Jersey and that flood? Sorry to do that to you. The water rose and they just, somebody's a video of a shark going through like a neighborhood. Sorry to do that. No way, really? Well, if you want to be a little bougier with your tinned fish or fish accessories,
Starting point is 00:23:28 caviar is now an affordable item for some people. I tried that one time at a really fancy party. I know you did. I've never tried caviar. And it was the worst. Mm-hmm. Katie, don't make fun of our youth for being healthy and not having baby mouth. Oh, I get it.
Starting point is 00:23:43 I got a baby mouth, but I ain't got to get my past for eating gross. Caviar, a wave of direct-to-consumer startups is now selling tins of caviar. Not what any of these words mean, so I'll just say it. Quince is offering 100 grams of Ocetra for $125. I guess that's a good price. Oh, okay. One industry consultant says, have called the bluff on people eating tin fish, canned seafood.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Yeha. Marketers are targeting millennial women seeking affordable indulgences. Not everyone approves, though, as caviar, I don't know, Jesus Christ. As all of these things are disgusting. A blind tasting, I don't know any of these words, a blind tasting praised Roehouse, cavi, and quince among direct-to-consumer options. Oh. The Big Dogs.
Starting point is 00:24:44 So there's real, hold on a second. Is there really a market for affordable caviar right now? I mean, people out there are like, you know what, I love caviar, I just can't afford it. It juzes up your holiday charcutory boards and stuff. I could see people being like, oh, a little bit inexpensive. Wow. Caviar, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:25:05 And can you recall the taste? It was just a fishy taste? Yeah, it was gross. Zags. And it was like. Like tapioca. texture, right? But a million of them, because they're just little...
Starting point is 00:25:16 Yeah. And what did you put it on? Cracker spoon. Some, like a cracker thing. Like, you know, like a... Yeah, like those, I know what you're saying. Melba toast or whatever that. I know what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:25:28 It was, yeah, it was... But I just, I didn't spit it out, so I just went... Your body had no idea what that was. No, so confused. Head up to the Selman River and just squeeze some out fresh, I guess, right? Can you do that? Can you just do that? Just...
Starting point is 00:25:41 I don't know. get one, just catch one and just give it a bear hug and just like, all right, get ready with a little bag or something, just. Somebody will know. So, I mean, on Renan Stimpy, that's what they did, but somebody will know in chat. Thank you. That's what you're thinking of. That's exactly what's thinking. You could, but do not,
Starting point is 00:25:56 donkey says. No, it is. Everybody's up and it looks packed. Have you seen those videos? That does not look enjoyable. How are you all enjoying that? That is not look enjoyable. Asses to elbows. Like, how are you not getting tangled in each other? How are you, is there that many salmon that you're all catching fish? And how many fights break out?
Starting point is 00:26:14 Because it looks like there would be a fight every 30 seconds. It's not enjoyable, Michael says. It's so many people up in the river. I don't know if it's in Pulaski or whatever, but. Yeah. I know this is the season everyone's up there and it looks packed. You catch a dying fish. Yeah, a lot of fights, Mitch says, Fuzz says so many fights.
Starting point is 00:26:34 Yeah, no, thanks. And is there just that many salmon in the river that you can be that packed? I guess. Oswego's worst, Mitch says All right, well listen, go enjoy your salmon river fishing That was one of the coolest things ever I don't know if that ever happens up there anymore Where all those salmon got
Starting point is 00:26:50 They made their way under that bridge That connects Seneca to the rest of the campus is there Oh, cool! It was the craziest thing ever They were like bigger than me Some kid went down there and was picking them up unfortunately Well, they were all about to die You can't think you make your way back out of that
Starting point is 00:27:07 Gotcha They were like my size It was insane. Holy cow. They're packed in there thicker than the people. Wow. Ever have a fish break apart on your legs? That does happen, Joe says.
Starting point is 00:27:19 Gross. Gross. Well, pack that into it? You all have fun up there. You'll have fun up there. Pop that open next time you're on public. Y'all have fun up there. On Tuesdays, we get strange.
Starting point is 00:27:40 Your high strangeness. Who songs that remember? And don't forget, October we do our annual ghost show. This year Halloween's on a Saturday. So maybe our ghost show will be the Friday before Halloween where I take all your ghost stories. Oh, that might.
Starting point is 00:27:58 But today, this one is more, I mean, it's, people debunk it. People say, like, no, that's just a silly story. But there are people that believe it as well. And that's the story of the rake. Do you know the rake? The rake.
Starting point is 00:28:14 The rake is one of the first, like, internet viral cryptic. Oh, I like those. About 2003. I like the early, early internet ones. The rake is described as a pale, gaunt, hairless humanoid creature that stalks victims specifically coming in their bedrooms at night. Now, the ties locally is a lot of the stories were in rural New York State.
Starting point is 00:28:40 Oh. Which is kind of us. Uh-oh. So we had a lot come out of here. People would share that they saw the rations. on their trail cam or whatever. And it kind of was viral back in like 0,03,04, the early years. So all I've got today is one of the big, like, most popular stories of the rake.
Starting point is 00:28:59 Of the rake. No visuals. It's just audio, but it's a really creepy story. Boy, you're telling me that some pale, weird-looking white guys seen walking in the people's houses up in, like, a Swayka County? Pale, gaunt, hairless. Wait a minute. Huh? Huh?
Starting point is 00:29:14 Huh? I'm not hairless. your bedroom. I'm not hairless, so it wouldn't be me. He shaved four his missions. Ah, that was my pre-pubescent. Josh was walking around. All right?
Starting point is 00:29:27 So there hasn't been any rake stories in a minute. This is the story of the rake. From a witness, 2006. Three years ago, I had just returned from a trip to Niagara Falls with my family for the 4th of July. We were all very exhausted after a long day of driving, so my husband and I put the kids right to bed and called it a night. At about 4 a.m., I woke up thinking my husband had gotten up to use the restroom. I used the moment to steal back the sheets, only to wake him in the
Starting point is 00:30:01 process. I apologized and told him I thought he got out of bed. When he turned to face me, he gasped and pulled his feet up from the end of the bed so quickly his knee almost knock me out. He then grabbed me and said nothing. After adjusting to the dark for a half second, I was able to see what caused the strange reaction. At the foot of the bed, sitting and facing away from us, there was what appeared to be a naked man or a large hairless dog of some sort. Its body position was disturbing and unnatural. as if it had been hit by a car or something. For some reason, I was not instantly frightened by it,
Starting point is 00:30:53 but more concerned as to its condition. At this point, I was somewhat under the assumption that we were supposed to help him. My husband was peering over his arm and knee, tucked in the fetal position, occasionally glancing at me before returning to the creature. In a flurry of motion, the creature's scrambled around the side of the bed, and then crawled quickly in a flailing sort of way, right along the bed until it was less than a foot from my husband's face. The creature was completely silent for maybe 30 seconds, or maybe it was just four or five.
Starting point is 00:31:36 It seemed like a long time, just looking at my husband. The creature then placed its hand on his knee, and my one. ran into the hallway leading to the kids rooms. Oh! I screamed and ran for the light switch, planning to stop him before he hurt my children. When I got to the hallway, the light from the bedroom was enough to see it crouching and hunched about 20 feet away. He turned around and looked directly at me, covered in blood.
Starting point is 00:32:13 I flipped the switch on the wall and saw my daughter Clara. The creature ran down the stairs while my husband and I rushed to help our daughter. She was very badly injured and spoke only once more in her short life. She said, he is the rake. My husband drove his car into a lake that night while rushing our daughter to the hospital. They didn't survive. Being a small town, news got around pretty quickly. The police were helpful at first, and the local newspaper took a lot of interest as well.
Starting point is 00:32:56 However, the story was never published and the local television news never followed up either. For several months, my son Justin and I stayed in a hotel near my parents' house. After we decided to return home, I began looking for answers myself. I eventually located a man in the next town over who had a similar story. We got in contact and began talking about our experiences. He knew of two other people in New York who had seen a creature we now referred to as the Rake. It's a hilarious story. Don't get me wrong. How it escalates.
Starting point is 00:33:38 I had to bite my hand because I get it. I get it. It's so hard. The story of the Rake takes a terrible. A lot of turns. A terrible thing to laugh at. The rake kills a kid. I just didn't expect.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Then the kid drove into a lake for some reason. I know. There's a lot of elements where you're like, that's a weird story. I did not expect. That's the debate about it online. But it was like the beginning of the internet. So people would share these stories like this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:06 Could it be creepypasta? Probably. Somebody making things up? Probably. Still pretty good. But it has local ties. The rake. The story of the rake.
Starting point is 00:34:14 they made a movie about the rake. I don't know who was in it. I've never heard of it. Oh. The rake is a tall, creepy, hairless creature that wanders the woods of rural New York. Kind of looks like a... Tickling our feet in our beds. Kind of like a sad
Starting point is 00:34:30 naked dog. Kind of like a sad naked dog that hit by a car. He's going to tickle your toesies. Well, you're supposed to help it, but then it eats your kids. Yeah. It's a weird one. High strangers, baby. It is strange. That is good.
Starting point is 00:34:44 Find the Lexus ES, all we had to do was listen. Your ears said exactly where to put the speakers. Your eyes told us where to put the available head-up display. Hey, Lexus, find me an alternate route. Even your right foot helped out. It let us know you'd enjoy a little more torque. Turns out, you had a lot to tell us. We certainly heard you.
Starting point is 00:35:05 The Lexus ES, not just for you, by you. See Burdick Lexus and Cicero. This Saturday night, we'll be up at Frightmare Farms. Poor mom. I'm looking at the thing and I, like the website. Mm-hmm. And I didn't know one of the themes this year. What is it?
Starting point is 00:35:24 For, you know, there's the haunted house, the maze, the terror trail, and then the haunted hayride, it's bloodshiners. What does that mean? Moonshiners? Yeah, look at it. Hell yeah. Good for you guys. Feel like that's right up your alley.
Starting point is 00:35:39 I know we said we were, we weren't really hayride again. I have to ask what the bloodshiners is. Like a new building or something? Because is that the town? I don't know. That town that I was talking about where they had like the cool like Mexican village. I got to get up there and check it out. I got to get up and see what's going on up there.
Starting point is 00:35:58 Okay, we will. On Saturday. Get your tickets. What's the website Frightmarefarms, N.Y.com. Is that what it is? Yes, thank you. Frightmarefarms, NY. com.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Make a night of it. It's going to be a nice night Saturday. So, uh, rest in peace, Mr. Belding. as he has passed away. Cody and I both thought he had passed away many years ago. I did. I didn't know he was still with us, and that's my apologies, Dennis Haskins, right, is his name?
Starting point is 00:36:22 Yep, yep. How old was he, does it say? I thought I closed it. I think 75 was it? Dennis Haskins was 75 years old. Passed away in Burbank, California, known as Richard Belding, from Saved by the Bell, 1989 to 1993.
Starting point is 00:36:41 Cody, I can tell you a story. Now, this wasn't a direct story of me and Mr. Belding, but I will take you back to the early 2000s. When your boy was a touring stand-up comedian, believe it or not, I did do that for a couple years. And I was, there's a thing, there's a thing called NACA, where if you can get in NACA, you book college shows.
Starting point is 00:37:03 And college shows are so much money, dude. Oh, so whenever you see a comedian, come to a college. That's why. They're in NACA and they're getting paid a ton of money. So me and my buddy, Baron Vaughn, we're doing colleges. And you get like a thousand bucks a night to do a college.
Starting point is 00:37:18 It was dope. It was dope. And we went to my wife's alma mater in Geneseo. And Katie's Alameda for you. We did a show in Geneseo, which are always hilarious because they always put you on in like the cafeteria. Yeah. And there's people using blenders and stuff.
Starting point is 00:37:36 They're not good shows. They're just to pay your bills. But, yes, you still get paid. So we go and we do this show at Genesium, finish the show. And it's a college. And at that point, I'm just like two or three years out of college. So I'm not like I'm a 45-year-old hanging around. And they go, there must have been like some on campus.
Starting point is 00:37:55 It wasn't a bar, but it was like a club. And I don't know what happened. But Baron and I finish her show and they're like, we're over at this club. And we're, oh, okay. Oh, Katie, then you might know more information about this. So we go to this on-campus club. And they're like, man, you guys are way better than the last guys that were here. And I go, who was here?
Starting point is 00:38:22 They go, Mr. Belding and screech from Saved by the Bell. Oh. Wow. And nobody ever said what they did. But all night long, they're like, dude, Mr. Balding is creepy. When he was here, I don't know. of it was like the week before us. Well, I mean.
Starting point is 00:38:40 Or like a month. It was recent enough that every college kid we met that night. It would have been 06. Yeah. 06 or 07. And they were like, dude, they all had a Mr. belting experience, but I don't know what it was. I'm sure he was wicked weird and was probably way too flirty with the college girls.
Starting point is 00:39:00 That's what all the girls said is like he was really hitting on college girls. Which even like, even as like 25, like I was still with. my girlfriend and my wife at the time, even I felt like I'm old and I, you know, you'd say you're at a college. Yeah. But like apparently Mr. Belding and Screech were at Geneseo, right before we had come through Geneseo,
Starting point is 00:39:21 and everybody was still reeling from when Mr. Belding and Screech were on campus. You guys walked in, they're like, they're like, oh no, not these creeps again. And I never knew what. Katie says they went to frats and creeped on the girls. That sounds about right. That sounds about right.
Starting point is 00:39:35 From just like things you would hear from about stories. So not to solely your name, Dennis Askins, but the only time our paths have ever crossed was on the campus of SUNY Genesee. When you had left, you and Dustin Diamond had left.
Starting point is 00:39:54 You left the memory, I'll tell you what. And yeah, I don't know what they're stand-up. Right. It's just that probably telling stories. And then he does that Mr. Belding laugh, probably a bunch.
Starting point is 00:40:06 Katie says, wait, did I see you perform a Genesee? you might have. It was in that cafe when you walk in your student union and take a right, whatever that big cafe was. We had a couple of those. That's what we stood on stage while they were making smoothies and people were playing pool. Again, not the best stand-up location.
Starting point is 00:40:22 It's usually like a Tuesday night. Yeah. But then they give you that check afterwards and that pays your rent for the month. Oh, did a lot of colleges, baby. It was awesome. Gotta be wine, dined, and 69. Ahoy, hoi. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:40:37 This is the show. you are listening to K Rock. We were just discussing in chat that our new our new bosses are taking us, well, either taking us or bringing a lunch on Friday. And I'm going to. I'm going to hear. Bring it here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But that's your, you've already made your first impression. We met them last Friday. We told you that story yesterday. We bought Oasis tickets during our first meeting with the new owners of K. Rock. And now there's going to be a lunch this Friday. And Cody and I hold a lot of sweet. We hold a lot of esteem and what kind of lunch is provided.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Don't want. I don't want to see. No offense. I don't want a subtray. I don't want a subtray. I don't want a rap's. I don't want a tray of Riggies either. Yeah, because then it's always a, all right, well here, oh, there's one that's turkey
Starting point is 00:41:25 and okay. And all the other ones are roast beef and ham, and I know everyone else likes that, but. Now, the way you guys, work lunches are different for us than they are probably for you. because if your work provides you lunch, they got to pay for it. In the radio world and probably TV world, they do something called trade, which is we've got this company that spends money with us. We'll give them $200 worth of commercials if they trade out some food for us. Yes. So because of that, we got a lot of the same stuff for a long time.
Starting point is 00:41:59 Nothing against them, but let's just say Pepinos provided a lot of lunches to your boy. Yes. And now this is new ownership. And they're in way better financial standing than our previous ownership. So are we going to see a Tully's tray? Are we going to see? I mean, you had a great idea. There's only like a handful of us.
Starting point is 00:42:21 Can we go to a Pizza Hut? Would it be? Impress me, Pommel. Pizza at lunch buffet? If Chuck from Pommel walks in here and says, Fellas, I rented out the entire Pizza Hut for the staff or gone down there, I'd be like, I love it. you. Oh my God. I love you. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:42:37 All right. It's an opportunity. I wasn't sure. I wasn't sure so I went and rented out a whole pizza. You did? What do you think about that? Okay. Okay. And would it be weird if we just walked up and hugged him if he did that? You know what I'm saying? Right. It is. A lot of first impressions being made here. I don't know if I didn't know if you guys liked breadsticks or not. Wasn't sure. Oh my God. If he's like, hey guys, I got us a spot over an Olive Garden. I rented out a half of an
Starting point is 00:43:02 I mean, you did. He's like, hey, listen, I know not a lot of people probably, you know, see this as like, you know, fancy or anything. But, you know, I just, I really like this spot. So I got us to spot at Olive Garden. You did what? But I also like to eat wicked early, so it's right at 11, the second. I'm crying right now. If our new ownership took us to an 11 a.m. Olive Garden.
Starting point is 00:43:32 Our food, some of the food should be ready. I ordered last night. As soon as they closed, I made sure that I ordered for the next morning. I love you. That way when the kitchen opens. I love you. I love you.
Starting point is 00:43:45 I love you. I love you. Why do you keep saying I love you? 11 a.m. It's a lot of impression. A bunch of people all out. What the hell are they doing? It's a whole company out here.
Starting point is 00:43:58 Looking out the blinds of. Hey, there's like 15 people out of that right now. So if you're listening, Chuck, I know he's down on the... I think he's in the Hudson Valley, he said. He's down listening to us this morning. That'd be a, you'd real knock some socks off. Well, you'd knock these two socks off. Nobody else would be impressed by 11 o'clock.
Starting point is 00:44:15 No, it would be like, did you say he's going to take us to pizza on it? Is there a lunch buffet? Yeah. He's boozy bitches out there get DoorDash three times a day. They can deal with a once. Once a little pizza hut. Nope. Guys, hope it's no big deal, but it rented out of Taco Bell.
Starting point is 00:44:30 That new Taco Bell, we're just going to go all. all over to talk about canteen? Yes, we are. Right? Yeah. And I know we're all on different schedules, so Josh and Cody, if you want to eat at like 10.30, that's fine. If you were to get there at 10, I hope I arranged to have it open early. They opened early. A lot of first impressions being made by all right.
Starting point is 00:44:50 Well, we're good. Well, Cody, have you, uh, have you ever heard of IMS irritable male syndrome? No. Clearly we have it. You're not going to find too bitchy or men in this town. Right here. Oh my God, whatever. No, I haven't.
Starting point is 00:45:05 I don't heard of that. Bitchy bitches. Well, it's when men get more irritable and less motivated as they get older. It is linked to a decline in testosterone. Oh. Now, I know you don't want to hear this, alpha males, but I still have very high testosterone. I'm a high testosterone male. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:30 You might not like that because I'm a. silly hippie little lib dancing around. But I got high tea. You'll be high tea. So I don't know what that's like to have the low tea. No. I'm sympathetic for you. I hope that you can get whatever,
Starting point is 00:45:43 whatever supplement you need, whatever the big hurt is promoting on TV to get your tea back up. And she likes it too. All right, bud. We get it. Doug Flutie and Frank Thomas staying around comparing boners. Yeah, it's talking about sex and their wives. Good for you guys.
Starting point is 00:45:58 Hey, Doug, look at this one. Good. Hey, it's a baseball bat. That's an excellent erection, Frank. Doctors and psychologists say it is a useful way to describe changes in men between the ages of 40 and 60. That smells. That is us. That's you and that's me.
Starting point is 00:46:13 And that's exactly Katie. We support your gender of Fermi care. If you need some tea, get some tea. Great boner, Doug. It was coined back in 2001 by a Scottish scientist. Symptoms can include. Oh, I got all of these. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:46:27 Iridability. Depression. Low motivation. I'm actually pretty motivated. I do a lot. That's not true. Fatigue. I sleep a lot.
Starting point is 00:46:35 I'm good. No, yeah, you're not fatigue. Trouble concentrating, yeah. Hey. Sleep problems? No. I can sleep like a champ. No.
Starting point is 00:46:44 Reduce libido, not at all. I would wish it would. That's what I'm saying. I wish it would. Loss of muscle mass. Yeah. Weak little. And increased body fat.
Starting point is 00:46:55 See, so you only got a couple of those. Maybe I only got a couple of these, then. You don't have a, you're not cranky, sorry. Yeah. It is, uh, listen. They say all the things. Basically, we just have ADD. That's what it is, I think.
Starting point is 00:47:07 I saw a clip yesterday about ADD, and it was both of us. Oh, there's linking data, and I got to look deeper into this. Okay. There's like a 10 times higher rate of IBS if you have ADD. And I don't know why that is. Like even our sphincters can't concentrate. No. Yeah, even our bowels don't know when they can't pay attention.
Starting point is 00:47:30 I'm like, how does that go hand in hand? weird the things that. What would ADD do to irritable bowel syndrome? It's probably some weird, your gut produces some weird thing that then you know, goes down into your intestines. I don't know. Who knows? No, I got to go get my, I got to get, I got to get that
Starting point is 00:47:46 tested. I got to get the autism tests. I got to get all those things, but they cost money. You can get an ADD test as an adult? Yeah, you should. I don't, I don't, I don't. What everybody rames about? They all rave about, like, now I'm on the ADD meds or whatever. I'm not, I don't, I'm not going to do any of those. You're not going to do the meds?
Starting point is 00:48:02 I'm not going to, because if they just, what if they give, you like, here you go, here's a bunch of riddling. Or whatever it is, everybody raised about, my wife wants me on that stuff so bad, the ADHD meds, because it's like life-changing. Oh. People will be like, I thought I had anxiety, but then I went on my ADHD meds and I feel fantastic. Everybody raves about it. Oh, I like being like this, though. You do? Yeah, a little bit.
Starting point is 00:48:23 I might like being like this. Yeah. The people that I love do not like me being like this. No, yeah. No, I get it. I am not easy to be around. So... Yep.
Starting point is 00:48:36 So maybe your boy, get some adjustments. We'll see. We'll see. That's down the road. Pop a couple. What I miss? We were even going to be willing to rename Anadaga Lake. Trump was like, ah, that's okay.
Starting point is 00:48:49 No, thanks. I'm good. That's okay. Anadaga has a good ring to it. We were just talking to Ralphie. Good morning. This is K. Relfi popped in because he's in Reader's digest.
Starting point is 00:48:56 And I guess he was on the Today show last Friday. What? How do we miss that? I don't know. Aw. He, like, made some list of the nicest people. Because he is. Ropee is one of the nicest people.
Starting point is 00:49:07 Easily the nicest person I've ever met my kind of life. And then Liverpool is, like, the nicest place to live. But it's not like it's because of property values or whatever. It's just people are nice, I guess. I don't know. I mean, all right. People who spit at me in Liverpool all the time. There's a bunch of places that would debate that, I bet.
Starting point is 00:49:23 Mm-hmm. But congratulations. Hey, home is where you make it. Yep. Also, home are you making it. That's what I was going. I'm gonna too. What?
Starting point is 00:49:34 Hi, mate. What? I don't know. How old you. Naked. Ahoy, hoi. The show. Atfm for all our links and live streams.
Starting point is 00:49:43 Of course. Today show Instagram has a clip. Thank you, Fuzz. It's also National Coffee Day today, Coco. Is it? People waking up. I sure have done this story earlier so I could tell you guys where to get your coffee on your way to work. But I'm not very good at this job.
Starting point is 00:49:56 Don't tell Pommel broadcasting that. Let's let's say, oh, no, Chuck. Ah! Here's some deals around here. Yeah, we have a variety of coffee places now. We have vast coffee places where coffee meets vast. 100%. Everybody loves that 7 brew that just opened.
Starting point is 00:50:14 Yep, they do. The one that just opened was in the Mohawk Valley. And do we have one around here in Syracuse too? There's one right down from North Syracuse there. They're not big locations, right? Aswego has one, that's right. Normal size or whatever. I still really like...
Starting point is 00:50:34 Route 11's got one? Wow. Utica coffee. Yeah, I know you do. That's my jam. I'm a Yulica coffee guy. Well, today it's Seven Brew, a free limited edition license plate sticker. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:50:46 With the purchase of any drink. All right, so now the line's going to be... Because that's what they're good at. They're good at the merch. Yep. They did the Nido. Yep. That's why I think that the throwaway comment of,
Starting point is 00:50:57 well, they're next to be in Syracuse. That parking lot's big enough for all the stuff they do. Mm-hmm. I think that's going to be coming to Syracuse real soon. Bowen says they go up really quick. They're pre-built, like modular homes. You can just plop them on the land. Oh.
Starting point is 00:51:09 Yeah, they go up quick. So they wouldn't even need that building then. We stopped. I think it was a seven brew in Portland or something. But that's their gimmick as they give you stuff. Like here's a cool sticker. You want a cool sticker? Yep.
Starting point is 00:51:21 Thank you. People like that. Burger King, Royal Perks members can enjoy a dollar off any coffee today to celebrate National Coffee Day. I don't know if I've ever had a fast food coffee. No, not even. King and McDonald's? No, I don't think so. Cumberland Farms, which some of you may see.
Starting point is 00:51:38 It is a gas station, but I think some of our gas stations are owned by Cumberland Farms, regardless. The name sounds kind of fun. Free hot, medium hot or iced coffee with the offer in the rewards app. Duncan, D.D. Perks members today can get a free medium hot or iced coffee with any purchase through the Duncan app. Also launching a new product collab with L.L. Bean. I saw that. that LL Bean vehicle on the throuway Sunday? That's cool.
Starting point is 00:52:05 Just that big old booze driving around. That's neat. Mm-hmm. No, I saw that and I was like, oh, that's going to be a big deal. But booze place has been doing that forever for Christmas. Dutch bros we did in Portland. That's right, Dutch bros. Oh, Dutch bros.
Starting point is 00:52:18 Did you see the L.L. Bean thing they did? No. It was, you know, like, for a wine bottle and Christmas time, you see it's like, oh, put it. It's got a sweater on it. Oh, okay. Yeah, I see what you're saying. It's got like an LL.
Starting point is 00:52:29 Bean thing. And it's pink like Dunk. National Coffee Day, you got some deals. Oh, look at that. DQ? McDonald's good. Dairy Queen's got coffee? Dairy Queen is offering small coffee coolers for $3.
Starting point is 00:52:42 Oh, okay. Is that like the iced coffee thing? That makes more sense. I don't say, I don't think they're open in time that you give you a coffee. Panera, starting today through the end of the year, you can join the MyPanara Plus Sip Club. $5 a month. Members redeem up to 30 drinks per month. Yo, they do that.
Starting point is 00:53:02 with their drink club things. I paid $5 for 30 drinks. But what's the catch? That's it. My Panera members can also get 50% off barista beverages. But if I, I'm not near a Panera that it would make sense. But have you worked near a Panera? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:19 Five bucks a month for all those drinks. Sick. Because I think it was, it's over. Wait, is one in the mall? Maybe one in the mall. Yeah, there is now. You're right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:29 I don't go there very often. I just forget. Mm-hmm. Storz? Starts. Marks today by giving away free hot-iced or cold-brew coffee and any size from noon until closing. So your midday pick me up. Oh, nice.
Starting point is 00:53:46 Your midday pick me up. Okay. And yes, I see all of you raving about Zaman coffee. I don't drink coffee or I try it, but. Yeah, I've never been there. I know you guys really love that coffee. It's a special kind of coffee, right? I don't have to give it a try.
Starting point is 00:53:57 Mm-hmm. Because I do like some of that fancy ones in. They look like they've got a bunch of that. damn Dubai chocolate stuff that I can't stop. How they get you. Spending money on. You love that. Give me my country back, God damn.
Starting point is 00:54:14 Good morning, happy. What a country buddy. Tuesday, this Saturday will be up in Palermo. Making you poop your pants. Scareing you real good. Boom. Got you right now. Framare Farm's up in Palermo.
Starting point is 00:54:29 Check them out. I just poop. I know you did, bud. I got another one out of you. Can I ask you, not that I expect you to have the answer, but you're the closest. I got the answer. You're the closest Tom Cruise expert I got in the room. What the hell is this Digger movie?
Starting point is 00:54:45 No idea, but I got to see it. What is this movie? I don't know what I got to see it. I'm on board with everybody. I don't understand what's going on in it. No idea. But I got to see it, right? Couldn't tell you.
Starting point is 00:54:56 But it looks awesome, but I don't know why. All right, damn it. I was hoping somebody in it. I don't know what it is. Nope, none of us know. And I keep seeing these trailers for it. It's one of those. And I like John Goodman and I like Tom Cruise.
Starting point is 00:55:10 And Tom Cruise is good in these roles where, yeah, people laugh at him and Ha, ha, Tom Cruise, blah, blah, blah. But when he gets to do this type stuff, he's really good. Because he's a good actor. So when he gets to do this weird character stuff. Okay, I was going to ask you, you said when he gets to do this type of stuff. Yeah. What is he doing in this movie? A character.
Starting point is 00:55:29 Our name Digger, he's Digger. Oh, I have no. I don't even know. Because John Goodman says, Get Digger to fix it or something like that. Yeah. Is he like an oil man? I can't remember off the top of my head.
Starting point is 00:55:39 It was something like an oil guy or a rich guy has... Who got out of it for a minute and called back in? Well, he has a certain amount of time to convince people that he's not the one that is at fault for, like, catastrophes that are happening. Yes, I think, yep, I did see that. He's an oil tycoon. But all the articles I see on it are like, this is his pitch for an Oscar. Oh, he's trying to, like, he's never one on it? I guess not.
Starting point is 00:56:06 I didn't know that. But this is his pitch for an Oscar. Yeah, he likes to do this stuff. Like, remember he was on Blanken, but he was that, like, bad guy at the end of that one movie. Was it Tropical Thunder? Oh, he was good in that. It was whatever that was. He said all the swears.
Starting point is 00:56:21 Yeah. So when he gets to do stuff like this. Set all the swears. It's like a Johnny Depp type deal where he won't, once he can hide a little. All right. So we're all in on this Digger movie. We don't know why. No, I don't know idea.
Starting point is 00:56:35 I don't know what it's about. No. It's only going to be in theaters. And then it seems like they're trying that again, which I like. Which I like the theaters. But they also are not giving them forever. Then they're going right to digital. Like that end of Oak Street.
Starting point is 00:56:51 Remember that? No. With the dinosaurs. Oh, is it already going to digital? Already. It was in theater for a couple weeks. The Super Troopers won month. It's already digital.
Starting point is 00:57:00 Didn't you get your popcorn bucket? Yeah. Super trooper. I do. I got my, but I haven't seen the third one yet. Cody, I know a lot of people are wondering when the Oasis documentary will be going to digital. I know a lot of you are waiting with baited at breath. That will be next week, the ninth, or I guess a week and a half from now.
Starting point is 00:57:20 October 9th, it's Disney and Hulu. What is that? Is that a Sunday? I don't care what it is, but I'm probably going to watch it three times that day. Well, I don't want to. With extended footage, Cody, did you see that? Yeah. It has added footage.
Starting point is 00:57:30 Well, I don't want them to do it. Oh, Friday, Friday. Friday, the night. I don't want them to get it. I don't have any football or anything. I want to have their own clear path. Because I know a lot of you are. Because that's going to jump the line.
Starting point is 00:57:39 A lot of you are. Yeah, that's. Of my things that I need to be watching. That is, I have another little thing in my tism or I get hyper focused on foods. I also get hyper focused on either stand-up specials or documentaries that I will watch like four days in a row. They're good.
Starting point is 00:57:58 That's a good one too. Like the latest. Like the latest. Stavi Helkias special. Stavi, Uncle Savi, I've probably watched six times. Oh, wow. Just because it's a background thing I like to put on while I'm doing other things. Yes.
Starting point is 00:58:14 And he's just hilarious and I love it. But yeah, yeah, that always is doc. You've watched it so many times. It's disgusting. Put it in your calendar. Well, a new survey says the average American drops their first curse word of the day at 10.45 a.m. That's late.
Starting point is 00:58:32 Those rookie numbers. That's some rookie numbers. You got to get them numbers up. Yeah, you're a little bitch. I mean, I get my first curse out of the way maybe before 5 a.m. It depends. If I had to say any words. It depends on like how I get out of bed.
Starting point is 00:58:48 If I accidentally like a trip over Elsa or something's going on or God knows what. Right, Fuzz. We're all ahead of the curve in here. It can be immediate. We're all overachievers here in the show family. We're all, I mean, I got to figure, if I'm driving to work and some a hole, like, rips past me, I'll drop a what to a F or I'll say, what are you a effing doing? Like, I'll get that out of the way before 5 a.m. And a lot of times it doesn't even have to be anything wrong.
Starting point is 00:59:17 Yeah, it's just a word that comes out of my mouth. Or you're right, it could just be like, I wake up and I feel, I don't know, awake or I'm going to be like, oh, snap. Yeah, one of our. But with, you know, not snap. One of our greatest skills, and people compliment us on this all the time, is our ability to not swear on the radio. Because we swear a lot in regular life. A lot.
Starting point is 00:59:39 A lot. You'll see if you're watching us on Twitter, YouTube, or on the show. Atfm. Everything is a swear. I use the Lord's name in vain. All the time. And the second these mics and headphones goes on, I just don't do it. You know, 20 years, you get good at it.
Starting point is 00:59:53 They want to. I would love to. Believe me. I wish we were allowed to. It's stupid that we're not. I don't want to speak for jobs. but it's like all I can think about all the time. Really?
Starting point is 01:00:05 Cursing on the air? No, I just, I want to so bad. I just think in 2006 it's stupid that you can't say naughty words. No, because it's not that if you're being... Baby's no curse words. If you're being ridiculous with it, then you're just saying swears and say swears and it becomes useless like that I did it in South Park episode. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's how people talk.
Starting point is 01:00:24 Yeah, it's common talk. It's just back and forth conversation. and if you drop the S word in there. Yeah, it's so. Oh, my God. So crass. Oh, my goodness. Study was focused on everyday stress and frustration.
Starting point is 01:00:37 And one of the biggest causes of our stress and frustration is lack of a pet lion. That's number four. Yeah. Not having a pet. No. Financial worry. I was just going to say money. Money.
Starting point is 01:00:51 Money. Money, finances. My favorite feeling is when a big bill comes in and then you don't have the money and your whole body turns white and you're cold. Oh, I can't wait. That's nice. I'm dropping the whip off today for what I assume is every part of break for every wheel. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:08 That's what in my head I'm assuming. Yeah. Just because I can just feel in here, I'm like, that's going to be all four. It's going to be all of it. So that'll be at least. I'm going to, so I don't freak out when it happens. I'm banking on $1,400. Oh, I think it might be good with them.
Starting point is 01:01:25 I'm banking on that. All right. I have that already in my head of now once we get over that, they'll almost start to lose it a little bit. Yeah, you'll get a little sick, I know. That's how I felt when we looked at those Oasis ticket prices and it was $350. I know, and I started to, I go, oh, I'm going to throw up. I'm going to throw it up.
Starting point is 01:01:41 Financial worry is our biggest stress. Not getting enough sleep is our second biggest stress. Really? I was going to say like family. Health concerns is third. Okay. And work is fourth. So like family things isn't even on a list of people that they worry about?
Starting point is 01:01:56 Yeah, I guess not. Not in the top five. I don't know what specifically, family, but I just thought. I knock on wood, my kids are doing great right now, so I'm very not stressed about them. The oldest is off working and doing their things, and the youngest is crushing it in school and sports. But it's just, so I feel good. Stress as probably just because you're a parent. It's just there.
Starting point is 01:02:20 I can tie one and four together. The financial stress of having to feed them. As teenagers every day. I did think about you when I got my food this weekend from down the street. I was like, I can't even imagine, because of the thing I got fed me, I ate one, and then the next eight the second. But I was like, it would have been a hundred dollars to get you. Saturday was our takeout day this week. We tried to keep takeout to one day a week.
Starting point is 01:02:50 Saturday was takeout day. $110. Oh. $110. Yeah. And that's. That's not even like, you're not ordering like steaks. No, no, that's just to fill them up.
Starting point is 01:03:02 Someone probably got tendies. So for two hours later, they can go, bro, where's the food? Bro. Bro. Bro, can you make me food, bro? So stress is an inescapable part of life. Everyone deals with it in some way. About a hundred times a month people feel stress.
Starting point is 01:03:21 And cursing is one way to express your frustration. Balls, yeah. Yeah, and Rover's right. Trump keeps saying we're getting $5,000 checks, bro. So you got nothing to worry about it. Listen, I love all of our visitors, Cody, here on the show. Some are the ones. Some are better than others.
Starting point is 01:03:42 The ones that bring us boxes of drugs. Yeah, I'm a big fan. Steve is here from real life of tanicals. What's up, Steve? Morning, guys. How you doing? Good, good. So we just saw you down at Revelry, New York City.
Starting point is 01:03:54 That was insanity. insanity. It's the big buyers club down in the city. I was overwhelmed. This was your second year? Third year doing it? I think third or fourth? To be honest with you. And I was texting with Steve before. I was like, what should we expect? And I think you said, you went to Oswego. You're used to crazy Oswego parties. I'm not really, but I got the idea and he goes, it's like that. Yeah. And it was like that.
Starting point is 01:04:20 It was amazing. It was everything I thought it was going to be. We were just telling Lori, it was like trick-or-treating for, own ups because we had two full backpacks of samples we came back with, Steve. Oh my God. How did you like it? Did you get a meet a lot of new people? Yeah, no. I mean, it's, it's always a, it's always a good time going to those, those revelry buyers events. There's a couple of buyers events, but that one's really, really good. And it's nice because there's, I do get to see a lot of people that I've known since day one, because I've been in this since 22. So it's been a few years. But yeah, no, I mean, it's, and then, and then all the new faces and then to see people get excited about some of the
Starting point is 01:04:55 products that we produce, like, you know, real time right in front of them as far as first trying stuff. So, I mean, we do bring blanks, too, so because we don't need everybody too, too crazy. Yeah, right. But year over year, I mean, just a year ago, you didn't have this many brands under you. So I guess let's talk about what is real life botanicals? What separates you from the others? Yeah, so actually we, I competed, or I entered some of our flower into a competition that was like a best, you know, and we didn't even place in top three. And I was, like, man, what is going on here? And it was a little bit of like an ego thing. I was like, man, because I put a lot of love and care into our products. But it also made me realize that
Starting point is 01:05:34 realistically, real life is just real products for real people. It's every day. You know, it's the, it's the people that's going into your store, every, you know, going after work and picking up something. So, you know, I mean, a lot of those judges were judging on the fact that it's in a mylar instead of glass. But I mean, realistically, it's good quality that's in there and it's for everybody. Yeah. So, you know, I'm a fifth generation. farmer, you know, I started my farm operation in 2014. You know, actually the invoices still say halt and hay because I was a hay farmer. Oh, amazing.
Starting point is 01:06:05 Yeah. And then, you know, got into hemp and then into the adult use stuff. So like, I think just a year ago, and real life would have, you get flour, you can get the pre-rolls. Did we even have edibles? No, no. And, I mean, I had been working on a vape or a, yeah, a vape product. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:25 I know what you're talking about. Yeah, so I was just trying to be careful. Yeah, I can do. Yeah, yeah. But now you've got so many brands. Like you've just, like, we can talk about the brands, and then I'll jump in Twitch and show you the actual products. Yes.
Starting point is 01:06:36 We'll run through the brands that are under you now. Yeah, so Real Life Botanicals, one of our house brands, partnered with Mac Farms. That was one of the first larger brands that we took on, and then partnered with Cheech and Chong, which has been great. Great name recognition officer. Yeah, right. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:50 Yeah. There is another celebrity-ish brand that we're, in the works on. Oh, cool. You know, keep an eye on our social. Is it the Josh and Cody Braille? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:00 We can talk about that off. All right, cool. Yeah. I would be honored. But then Pure Bud Topicals and then Juiced, which is a lot of the eddies and things like that.
Starting point is 01:07:13 Yeah. Yeah. And it's nice because, you know, I tried to be strategic as far as the partnerships to where, you know, we're not going to cannibalize each other. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:22 If you want to, we have something that's premium. We have something that's grade. We have something's low grade. It's not, nothing is going to be competing inside. You know, we only have one topical and we're just focusing on that one brand. So realistically, you know, anyone that's starting a store or opening up a store, we have something for everybody and at an affordable price. Real life botanicals is the, is the name that you'll probably see, or the hay brand, I guess you see on your invoice. It's funny because back in the day, you know,
Starting point is 01:07:47 there was, I remember getting, I mean, obviously like the stuff we used to get back in the day. But I would joke when it would kind of smell like, hey, because it wasn't, uh, cured properly and call it Heydro or whatever. So here's what I want you to do. Jump in Twitch.tv slash the show or go to the show. com. Because I want to show you the products I can't talk about on the radio. And I'm going to vouch for a lot of these because I've been sampling them for a couple of weeks.
Starting point is 01:08:09 And I'm a big, big fan. Twitch.tv slash the show or the show. com. If you want us to show you any. Make a little pies. Of the amazing products that our friends at real life botanicals just dropped off for us. Again, I'd love to give it to you guys, but it's not legal. I do not believe so.
Starting point is 01:08:25 We'll find a way. Because now we want to do an adult trunk or treat. How fun would that be? Trick or like that? Yeah, that's fun. That's fun. No, that's a really good idea. An adult trick or treat is a really good idea
Starting point is 01:08:38 because just from the reactions of people in Cicero when I would hand the adults, I did the adults food station. Yeah. Oh, my God. They lost their minds. Yeah. So I just got to see what's legal, what's not legal.
Starting point is 01:08:52 Yeah. Cody and I got certain things, all that. stuff. We'll, you know, we'll explain it here later on. And I'm looking for the South Park. And it's gone. And it's got. And it's got. So because Mark Zuckerberg and Meta does not have enough money, great news. The Bobby Shmurda? Great news. It's just a shirtless guy walking out. He had a little blanket on. Okay. Meta is now offering Instagram plus for $3.99 a month, Cody. Is this this little freaking ghost thing? No, that's muse that I'm sick of seeing.
Starting point is 01:09:24 Okay, so it's the AI helper. Something different? Yeah, I guess. Oh my God. How desperate is, because Instagram and Facebook's all the same, right? It's the matter, yeah. How desperate is he for money? He shouldn't be.
Starting point is 01:09:39 Right? He's a multi-billionaire. But I guess you always need to be figuring out a way to have your company be making you money. You've got to be profitable forever and ever, which is why we all continue to pay subscriptions. But which, this is a weird one because it's, you could almost, like, you could see how that worked for X, Twitter. Nobody wants to do that. They want to be given the plus or, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:10:03 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. As like, oh, I'm a big user. You should just verify me and give me the Instagram Plus. Well, Instagram Plus, bad news for creepers, which I'm sure I'm guilty of plenty and Cody is plenty as well. They will tell the user when someone's rewatching your story. Oh, nice. So if you were looking at one of your hot goth chicks
Starting point is 01:10:27 and then you're like rewatch, rewatch, rewatch, rewatch. Whoops. Cody, Lisi, has watched your story 35 times. Yeah, that's not good. This is the thing that made me the most uncomfortable in the last week and has made me not want to use Instagram ever again. Basically, what this feature does is you can see the timestamp at which someone has first watched your stories.
Starting point is 01:10:46 You will see a number of people whose timestamps change and they jump back to the top. Maybe someone watched her story one hour ago. And then some number of other people watch her story. And then they watched your story again one minute ago. And again and again. And all day long, you can watch as certain people's names continue to jump through the top of your list. Instagram has created all these new social behaviors that exist only online and not in person.
Starting point is 01:11:09 You're just going to find your biggest fans. Yeah. But also, depending on the account, not saying this is, pardon me, everybody's accounts. But for the most part, you know what you're putting up. Yeah. So don't act like you're shocked. If you're putting up boob photos over and over and over again. There's guys watching or these girls are watching my story.
Starting point is 01:11:33 Like, well, yeah, dude, you're shirtless chopping wood. Yeah. With six-pack abs. Yeah. And I'm going to finally figure out which one of you show girls is creeping on me. Now I'm going to know you're looking at hunky Josh. Oh, it's just going to say Cody. Care out, Cody Mac.
Starting point is 01:11:49 I'm going to say, finally. Now I get to know who. Who on the hotness to? Nobody. None of us. Nobody. But you know what I mean like that? I'm not going to get it anyways.
Starting point is 01:11:58 I'm not going to pay money to Instagram. No, but I can also see where that would be very creepy to just see. Random dude has watched your thing. You've never met like that would make me uncomfortable. Or you just, or you know of them and it's like this always drunk, I don't know, racist, creepy guy that's in your town. And all day, every 10 minutes. he's watching your story every couple A couple times
Starting point is 01:12:24 Yeah Then yeah That's weird Or the stories about your kids That's why you should not put your kids On the internet But then you also have Now have the opportunity
Starting point is 01:12:33 You can see And dispatch of The Greepers on your Block band Yeah But sucks that Again I can see both sides sucks that you even have to do that
Starting point is 01:12:42 And again Do I need to sing it in song Never post your kids on the internet Or your dating apps Very weird Or your dating apps Why do you do that Going back to earlier in the show where I said there's no such things as clouds and all your photos exist somewhere.
Starting point is 01:12:57 The somewhere your photos exist are being crawled by AI chatbots to learn what children look like and then make child pornography out of. Never post your kids on the internet. That's very weird. It's weird, man. The opposite. If I feel too high, those will bring you back to the world. It brings me back to land. I was always the...
Starting point is 01:13:21 Good morning. This is K. Rock. It just calms me down high. mellow out here. Cross faded. Because it almost like in my head, like, it almost is like it in vap, and it sucks up, you're the booze. Because the effect of weed doesn't last as long as that.
Starting point is 01:13:37 Once the weed goes, it's going to take the booze with it. See, sometimes. That's not how that works, but in my head. Sometimes weed makes me really anxious, so I'll have whiskey to bring me back down. These are all, this is a couple addicts talking in here, guys. Sorry. Our own vices.
Starting point is 01:13:51 We'll hand you off to the 90s at 9. Again, like I always say, it's not affecting my life, my job, or my health. So we're fine. We're fine. 90s and I going to kick off with a little dishwall. Gaming stream will play a little game of golf. We could play baseball and probably when it gets to World Series time, we'll play some baseball. We just haven't played in so long that it would take hours probably.
Starting point is 01:14:12 Yeah, it takes a bit to get to do a whole baseball game. All right. So Twitch.tv slash the show or the show. For all of our links in live streams, gaming stream powered by Ryan Phelps, auto sales. you are buying from Ryan's style and profile in jet plane flying 90s and nine starts right now keep it locked he said.
