Gab Waller is here, the Australian entrepreneur who pioneered the luxury fashion sourcing industry.
She has built a global business.
I get to pick her brain one-on-one in this episode.
With that, let's welcome Icon Gab Waller to the show.
Welcome to the Bostics, starring Lauren Bostic and Michael Bostic.
Together, they are the Bostics.
Is it all vintage?
No, I would say about 80% of it.
of our sourcing requests are new seasons.
So just styles that are immediately coveted,
whether it's off the runway or in the lead up
to the collection dropping,
it sells out pretty much almost even prior to it
hitting the shop floor or doesn't hit the shop floor.
So those are, you know, 80% of the business.
The other remaining percent is vintage.
And I will say vintage has only increased
in the past two years.
Like prior to that, nobody was really,
at least coming to myself for vintage.
sourcing. So it's really blown up. Why? I would say there's a couple of different factors. I would
say that price point, you know, over the past few years, luxury prices have increased pretty
significantly. So vintage, slightly better option. And then I would also just the rarity of the
item, if you get a vintage bag, the chances of someone else having said bag is much smaller compared
to new season. So I would say that those are the two big. Is there anything that you can't find
Yes, as much as I hate to admit it, but yes, I would say that there are, I do believe in a world in which nothing is ever sold out.
And there are pieces that I have had opened for, you know, quite a few months that I'm still on the hunt for.
But I believe every item exists and it's out there.
It's just a matter of when I can find it.
And sometimes it's the quantity.
So I think that when I get a request, it's, you know, hi Gab, can you find me this bag?
It's like, absolutely, I can get you one.
But if 20 plus clients all want the same bag, that's when it can get really challenging.
And what about celebrities? How do you handle all the celebrity outreach?
So everything is inbound always has been.
So I remember even my first celebrity client, the whole business is all on social media.
So it's fully run on Instagram.
Oh, cool.
Yes. And so over time, they have, you know, followed my page and they slide into the DMs.
And hey, Gab, can you get me this?
and that's where the, at least the initial conversation starts, and then I move it over to text.
When you wake up in the morning, is the first thing that you do check your DMs,
or do you have a process to even get there?
I would say that every day wake up aura ring.
Number one, I'm addicted to my oral ring.
So that kind of almost says how my day is going to look.
So check my app.
And then, yes, it is straight into DMs.
I just kind of like to gauge how things are overnight.
out. Every client is global. So even though the US is my biggest market, I'm sourcing for clients in
Australia, Dubai, Singapore, you name it. So I kind of like to see what traction's come through
overnight. But then immediately after that, it's WhatsApp because WhatsApp is really where all the
sourcing happens. And I wake up to just absolute an influx of messages that have come through
overnight. And what's the process? Walk the audience through the process of how you source.
So say there's a huge celebrity. Say Haley Bieber wants.
to get this bag. How do you go about it? Do you put your feelers out? Do you have a process? Is it the
same formula every single time? So DM comes through. From there, I screenshot that request
and log it into Sourced by, which is the infrastructure that I built to really help scale this
industry. Prior to that, you know, because of the volume of requests, things were going to miss
and forgotten. And I knew that I had to find a solution, which is sourced by and the platform
that is being built. Once it's in there, it's exactly that. I kind of, I always have my finger on
the pulse as to what is available when and where at any given time. That's super important. So that if
someone like Haley jumps into the DMs, I immediately am one step ahead of like knowing where that
bag could be. So depending on what it is, I've just sourced quite a few things for her recently,
but most recently was this beige Chanel handbag. And when she requested it, I already knew that Paris had it.
So it was a super quick secure, lock it in from there, ship it from Paris to LA.
But there's also times where we will get requests.
And I definitely have to do some extensive digging.
And that's much more for the vintage pieces that I get requests for.
And do you have a team that you're running that's helping you?
I do.
Yes.
So I have two full-time assistants, both in Los Angeles, who are really, you know,
I think perhaps it is somewhat surprising, but I'm still very hands-on in the business from the clientele perspective.
I did kind of, you know, even when I was building sourced by, I take a bit of a backseat,
but I realize more than anything, like that's where I thrive and that's where I want to be
as much as possible.
So two full-time assistants in Los Angeles and then globally I have 10 sourcing assistants.
So they're based on the ground.
I knew very early on in the beginning that in order for this business to succeed, I need physical
people in each of these countries.
I remember being in Australia trying to call boutiques in France.
and they were basically like, wanted to hang up at me at any given point,
because they were like, who are you?
I don't know.
So it's been a bit of a journey to kind of build those relationships.
But yes, that is the team.
When you look back on the business that you've built and you look back over all the years,
what did you manifest or dream up or vision board to get here?
Oh, that's such a great question.
I would say that, I mean, I've certainly, in the beginning,
I never truly, you know, would have envisioned it would have become what it has today.
And I think looking back in the beginning, you know, my company name is my name.
It's Gab Waller back then would not have done that.
I don't think at that point because I did not think the way that it would transcribe into what it is.
But I would say that for me, I'm always inspired and driven by like the pioneer and wanting to be like an inspiration to others.
And I think for me, I'm so passionate about this industry that when I knew that I was on,
to something, I really was just so focused now on growing the industry to what it can be.
And that's, I feel like truthfully, you know, eight years in, haven't even scratched the
surface of what it can really become.
How have you managed to build your team?
What does it take to work for the Gab Waller industry?
Like, tell us, like, if someone comes to you, what's standing out to you?
Oh, love this question.
So as it is an entirely digital-based business, I truly could never stop, step foot in a boutique in my life, and this business would still be extremely successful.
So written communication is so paramount.
If you're emailing me, and there are grammar mistakes in that email, I'm, as an application, that's an immediate no for me.
That's so important because communication, written communication is the core of our business.
I would say also this, you know, from the clientele perspective, that genuine desire to go over and beyond, to be helpful and have like a real genuineness to it.
But then also speed. Speed is number one in my industry. I could truly blink and something could sell before my eyes.
So it is a very fast-paced industry. It's not something, you know, at the end of the day, sometimes I'm sending voice notes because I'm like, I cannot use my fingers at this point.
So yeah, written communication, that genuine desire to help and be helpful and to serve and speed.
So important.
Yes.
I imagine that you get pretty frustrated with inefficiencies.
Oh, yes.
Absolutely.
I also think too, and maybe you could speak to this as well, when someone's applying for a job, and I wanted to do like a whole episode on this, it's important to be buttoned up with your communication, meaning you don't want to be sloth.
And what do I mean, what do I mean by that? I mean when you're reaching out over DM and say you're like, I want to be your assistant. And then you tell me your entire life story over the DM. That's overwhelming before someone has gotten to know you. Does that make sense? I feel like there's a way to be very professional and buttoned up in the beginning. Sure, if you get to know the person after you hire them and and things come out, that's fine. But if I've heard your whole life story before I even have an interview with you, it feels like it's, it's
a lot. Does that make sense?
100%. I couldn't agree more. And I think
for me, I mean, as we know, the
influx of DMs that I get on a daily
basis is
on another level.
Certainly on the gabbollah.com page, but on
Gab Walla also and so I think for me,
I do not have the time
to read long DMs
with the introduction
storytelling, but I certainly, I love short
and sweet. So if you really capture my attention
with something that is,
perhaps you've done your research and you know,
something about my world and what I do, whether it's like, I'm your, like, I'm the magician that
you need, like, knowing that I'm a bit of a miracle work or like, I'm the next, you know,
there's different terms that we use, like, fashion detective and fairy godmother. And like,
if you've done your research and you know that, like, I think you could be really fun with the
outreach, but short and sweet is the way to go. Yeah, you can't be telling your hopes and dreams
and what you wanted to be when you grew up and the lemonade stand that you launch. And listen,
I'm not, I'm just being really honest. So if people are reaching out to get a job,
anywhere before you even meet someone. It's like you have to you sort of have to like court the person
I think and slowly let someone get to know you. I agree absolutely. Same with a date. And whether that's on
DM or on anyone. Yes. It's like exactly you don't want to give it all up right away. You know?
That's a great metaphor. Yes. I agree. You got to go slow. Yes. I like to be courted in anything.
You know like get to know the person. I agree. So if someone wants to do what you do,
What is your Gab-esque advice?
I love this.
So number one, I would say that you're going to face a lot of rejection, especially in the beginning.
And I've always been a big believer in that rejection is redirection, but you have to have the ability to move past that.
You're going to get faced with a lot of nose.
And we are forever, still to this day, I'm forever chasing my one.
Yes.
So do not let that to tell you.
Keep going.
I would also say that we are in a client service-based business.
You really have to have that genuine desire to serve clients.
And when I think of, you know, within my industry of how clients want to be served,
like the speed is absolutely so paramount.
And, you know, it is something that at least at the beginning,
you will not have the ability to have like a full service 24-hour team.
But even just as quick as those responses can be,
you're certainly going to get clients that way.
And I will say also the power of word of mouth.
know, that is so important. My entire business has been built off word of mouth. Still to this day,
we do no marketing of any kind. So if you are starting out, do you know, I think that you have to
have like 30 plus 50 plus clients straight away. If you just go for those top three, those clients,
they will go out for dinner that night with their girlfriends and they will talk about you and
then it just spreads that way. So word of mouth is just so, so important. Why do you think the reputation's
so important? I can tell that you are like saying that your reputation is everything. Oh, it is
It really is. And I think it comes like to down to trust. You know, we are handling high valued items. And we're doing that on social media and this, you know, the future of shopping and shopping and purchasing through social media trust is everything. And I think that, you know, to be able to build that and to maintain that is just so crucial to this industry. And I think even that goes down to, you know, authentication with items. Obviously, everything brand new is coming directly from the boutique. But anything vintage like goes through such.
strong authentication processes.
Because truthfully, it really would take, just take one wrong item for it to fall apart.
But reputation is everything to mean.
What's the craziest DM you've ever received?
Like something that popped up that you were like, oh my God, I can't believe this person is
DMing me?
As in a person or an item.
Both.
Oh, item, I've certainly received some funny ones over the years.
I will get anything from, can you source me?
the latest Dyson head dry.
What?
Yes.
Is that hard to get?
I don't think so.
Maybe some models sell out.
I now believe.
Oh.
Yes.
So anything from that.
I've definitely got beauty requests over the years.
And I'm always like, you know, fashion is my bread and butter.
But I like, I'm not a, I don't like saying no, especially to clients.
I'm very much like a yes.
I'll like, I'll do everything I can to make it happen.
some beauty, kids' toys, everything, which has been some interesting ones.
But in terms of who has stood into my DMs, I would have to say Haley.
Having Haley in the DMs, I was driving and like immediately had to pull over because that was.
And can you share any of the things she wants sourced besides the Chanel bag?
It is at present only Chanel.
She loves Chanel.
Yes.
Yes. I will say I did also source some Phoebe Philo shoes.
which Phoebe Vyboe seems to be increasing pretty steadily in popularity.
Yeah.
Beautiful brand.
Yes.
Shoes.
That's what she wanted.
Shoes.
Shoes are hard too because you have to get the right size.
Exactly.
Okay, so you had to become a detective.
Yes, fashion detective is the best way to really sum up what I do.
Haley Bieber and your DMs is pretty cool.
But you will also have worked with Kim Kardashian, Rosie Huntington Wheatley,
Sophia Richie, Chloe Kardashian, it says.
Chris Jenner.
I mean, these are some really amazing people that have put so much trust in you.
Yes.
I think if I'm an audience member listening, I want to know how have you been able to
maintain and get that trust from these people to begin with?
So professionalism is number one.
It's, you know, I, when, you know, I'm serving these clients and it's all, I'm such a friendly
person.
So immediately I'm like, I want to be like, I want to be friends.
Like, let's chat and like, let's get, you know, close.
I'm like, no, I need to be very professional here.
And so that's everything from, again, my communication style.
But I also, I am true to my word.
If I say I'm going to do something, I absolutely stick to it.
And they can see, too, that I really go over and beyond to make it happen.
And then I think, too, you can be like, this episode's all about speed.
But it's also just the way in which I communicate.
And speed is absolutely at the forefront of that.
So I would say it's a bit of a mix of those things.
I'm trying to think of anything else really comes to mind, but it really would be the professionalism, the way I show up, and I'm really true to my word, and the speed.
They love that.
What's the Gab playbook for dress up every day?
Because this outfit is so beautiful.
You guys have to watch on YouTube.
You can tell it's very thought out.
Yes.
How do you get dressed every day?
If someone's listening and they're like overwhelmed.
I, so I live in Los Angeles and I would say it's quite casual day.
and I love that. It's one of the things, many things I love about LA, but I, truthfully,
almost three days out of the week going into the office, I'm in denim, I'm in jeans. So I would say
that, you know, my stylist always, it's all about like effortless dressing. And right now, yes,
I am dressed up, depending on what the occasion is. But I always think, like, don't overthink it
and like grab a key. So in terms of investment pieces, like some great jeans, some great denim in your
wardrobe, a great jacket.
T's. I live in T's and I kind of rotate them across the board.
What's the brands? You've got to give us the brands right now.
Love Rangley, Morgan Stewart's brand.
Okay.
Love her T's. She has this baby blue color that just came out. It's so good.
Another one is Shop R-L-T. They're a Los Angeles space brand.
And the other one is called the Park, T-H-E-P-A-R-K. They're like a basics essentials brand, and their
fabric and material is so good. They're quite new. I think they're only,
Maybe one year old, potentially two?
And what about for jeans?
Jeans.
Oh, I have so many.
So I love vintage Levi's.
RLT is a great place to get that.
Okay.
Denham by Orally, it's ORL-L-E.
I will also say a lot of celebrities get their vintage Levi's from Oralee.
You've got to text me all these.
Yes.
I'll have to send you a huge list.
I'm going to put you in touch with my stylist, Isabel?
Yes.
She's amazing.
I would love that.
I feel like you would love her.
Is she based here?
She's in L.A.
Okay.
You might know or I'll show you her in.
Yes. I love that. So those are the jeans and t-shirts that we need to be looking at.
Yes. Yes. And then, I mean, I could honestly go on for days, but the last one I will say is E.B. Denim.
Another LA-based brand, so good for denim.
You have to show me that, too.
Yes. So you're wearing jeans and a t-shirt when you go to the office.
Yes, quite often. You know, ballet flats, I kind of rotate my ballerinas. They are the Chanel ones.
And I'm also for comfort. I'm at my desk all day, every day, some days. And so as much
as I truly would love to be able to get really dressed up every day. I'm thinking comfortable.
Like, can I type in this? Can I get on the phone in this? Can I run out in this, whatever it may be?
So comfort really is key. And when you're in the office, what is your day look like?
The morning is always the busiest for myself because I'm waking up to so many regions that were online overnight.
So I will say that I do do a few hours before I head into the office just to kind of really set myself up for the day.
And that's everything just doing it on my phone. So I'll be checking.
in the DMs, checking WhatsApp, checking sourced by, you know, seeing we have clients,
which clients are paid overnight, what's been found overnight, communicating those fines to
clients that obviously every day there's an influx of new arrivals that are coming in,
kind of how I mentioned having my finger on the pulse. I need to know what has come in at each
store. So those first few hours are so important. And then I go into the office and it's such a,
it's a bit of a mixture, but I do split my time pretty evenly between like Gab Waller work. So that's
kind of, you know, keeping at the forefront of like, what's in the DMs, what are clients looking for,
working on sourced by, which is the tech platform, and now the book that I'm writing about the
sourcing industry. So kind of cover a lot throughout the day, but it all happens.
Writing a book is so gnarly. I will clean my baseboards. I will, like, find something that
needs to be organized in my hardware drawer outside in my garage before I sit down to write.
Like, I will find anything to procrastinate to avoid writing the book. I know I'm, like, deep in it
when I'm organizing the pool floats outside. Like, it's like, do you know what I mean? Like,
I would find any, it's like the writer's resistance that you have is so gnarly when all you have to
do is just sit down and do the work. But, you know, you.
You want like the space to be perfect and the candle has to be lit.
And for me, like the Basanova has to be playing.
And then I'll find something like ADHD, find something else to give my attention to.
Yes.
You just have to sit down and write.
What does that process been like for you?
Look, I hear what you're saying.
100%.
I mean, it's crazy.
I hear you completely.
I think for me, I am one of those people that, yeah, I need to be locked in by myself.
I can't have others even around me.
I have to have a candle going.
I like no sound, though.
I don't like any music.
But I think, too, I do it in spur.
So I'll do like a good like 30 minute hit.
And then I'll like break up my attention span.
And then I'll come back for another 30 and kind of split it up because I'm not
someone that can just sit there for three hours straight and write as much as I would
love to be that person.
I have to consistently take breaks.
I will torture myself.
I will be like I will I will be like, I will be like I am going.
going on a vacation in two weeks.
And if I am not turning in something in those next two weeks
before I get on vacation, I'm not going on the plane.
And so I will just inundate myself and punish myself.
I don't know if it's a good idea.
I was like, that sounds a little unhealthy, but I'm like,
I'm like, I set like a deadline where I'm like,
I will not get on the plane unless this is done.
So I would rather stay up until like two in the morning
finishing it and getting it done so I can go on vacation.
like and relax. Yes. But I don't know if that's the best way to do it. I've I've talked to a lot of
writers and it seems to me that writing for 30 minutes a day is like a sane way to do it. Oh,
that's interesting. What you're doing. Yes, yes. I will say also like I know at this point
when I'm most energize and I use that to my advantage in the mornings 100%. If I'm trying to write
in the afternoon, it just, it's just not as strong. Like I know myself at this point,
but I kind of leverage my peak energy periods. And I'm also
not a night owl as much as I would love to be. I prioritize my sleep always. So I can't be writing at
night. I just, it's just not for you. Not for me. How do you run your calendar? Are you crazy?
I am. Yes. I loved, I mean, I've listened to so many of your podcasts. I was inspired by one where
like you truly can't like every minute I feel like is in your calendar if I'm not missed.
Every minute is in my calendar, but the mistake that I think people make is I'm not
over scheduled. So every minute is in the calendar, but it's not like too much. I'll give you an example
of what I mean. So I'll have a two hour block to write. And then I'll have like a half an hour walk
where I make a couple calls. Like it's very like it doesn't feel so structured because it's not
like I'm doing 12 podcasts in a week. Yes. I give myself air. I guess is what I'm trying to say.
Totally makes sense. And I absolutely feel the same. I think people.
look at me and like, oh my goodness, like, how does she do it all? And even girlfriends would be like,
what is Gab doing now and how does she do it all? But I don't over-schedule at all. I'm really
prioritized. And I know myself at this point. I know that like if I have a jam-packed day,
the next morning, I'll block it. Because I'm, yeah. Like you have to recharge.
Exactly. Recharging is so important. I'm not doing back-to-back to back-to-back.
And honestly, I don't know if I actually ever have. I think that's always been something that
That's really important to me because I know that if I didn't maintain that, then, you know, we don't want to be burning out at any point.
I think when you look at your business as a huge vision and you realize that it is a marathon and it's not some crazy sprint.
You know that as a high performer, you have to build space in your calendar to be able to perform when it's time to perform.
Yes.
And if you're constantly burning yourself out, I'll take someone, we interviewed someone who's very famous, 25 years old,
And you could tell that, you know, she's just burning herself out so hard.
But you don't know that you're burning yourself out until it happens to you.
And once it's, once it happens to you, you have to pivot and change how you're doing it.
Or else you burn out.
Exactly.
Exactly.
And I think, you know, over the years I've, although I've, with my scheduling, but I think too,
just because as glamorous as my industry, it is, it is high pressure.
You know, every day I'm, I have a lot of clients.
I need to serve it and to make happy.
And so it's so easy for me to just like, it's like that constant adrenaline rush that I do have every day.
And so the recharge is so crucial.
I also think, too, like you deal with a lot of celebrities and I interview celebrities and all of them.
I mean, not all of them.
You know, there's personality quirks.
Yeah.
Sometimes, this is very rare.
But like I would say like 2% of after I podcast 2%.
So that's not that much.
98% of people are great, but there's 2% where I have to literally go home and scrub my body.
Because like there's a certain energy.
Yes.
And I can imagine in your industry that you probably have a similar, maybe it's 5%.
I don't know, but you have people that are difficult, I'm sure.
The different personality types is 100% it.
And I think one thing I do like about myself is I'm really good at reading energy and kind of picking up on that.
and kind of, you know, mirroring it when needed.
Because I think, too, like if, you know, so I can tell when someone's stressed,
if you're like, I'm going to get you what you need immediately and end straight away.
But I think too, yeah, that is one thing, especially in written style,
because some things can be taken the wrong way.
And so I have to be, you know, I've kind of had to teach myself how to be careful with that.
But it is true.
It's managing a lot of different personalities and requests and how did you get good at
reading energy and finessing it?
Ooh. That's not a normal skill.
No. I, I'm trying to think of a moment where I kind of, I think I'm very observant.
I'm such an observer and I'm more of a listener than a talker.
So whenever I'm in situations, I love asking questions. I love being observant.
And I'll kind of read the situation. I think from there I can, I feel better in like picking up on the energies and kind of, yeah, getting a feel for.
for that person. You're right. If there's an urgency
around them wanting something and wanting it now
and you're dealing with a lot of people that when they want
something, they get it right away. Yes.
That's a particular person. Again,
I'm not saying everyone, but I'm sure there are
people that when they want it, they want it how they like it.
Yes. And if you don't,
if you don't understand the finesse and the dance to that,
it could get you in big trouble. Exactly.
100%.
Is that eloquent?
I think that was said perfectly.
I feel like, you know what I mean.
No, 100%.
Yes.
As you've grown your business, I've noticed that you've become more and more front facing.
Is that a strategic decision?
Has it happened naturally?
Did you want it to happen?
Oh, that's such a great question.
I would say that it happened naturally, but it's something that I knew I had to step up to,
the business being my name, but I think, too, building these relationships, they are so much more
when there's a face behind the brand.
And, you know, I look at others in the industry and especially, you know, you go into a new page and you see a sourcing a sourcing page.
And if you can't immediately connect with that person or who is behind this page?
Who am I talking to?
Where do you live?
Like, I want to know more about you.
It just helps build that relationship so much quicker.
So I think from the sourcing perspective, that is why I've always wanted to kind of lean into that front facing.
But I think too, it makes such a difference in the business.
And although I have my, some days have my regrets of naming the business my name, my name,
like my entire, it's also benefited me a lot because of, I mean, people may not know what I look like,
but they know Gab, they know just ask that Gab girl.
That's exactly how I met you.
I can't even remember who told me about you.
I want to say it was Haley Heckman.
Yes.
Maybe. I've used her for hair.
Yes.
Maybe a long time ago.
I'm sure.
Was this before Karina?
You and I, I knew you before Karina.
Oh, wow.
We have the same makeup artist.
Shout out to Karina.
If we look the same, it's because of Karina.
She knows how to give the little facelift.
But I feel like Haley, our mutual hairstylist, was like, you have to look at Gab Waller's page.
This is like years ago.
And that wouldn't surprise me because the first time I met Haley wasn't long after I moved to L.A.
So this would have been years.
Yes, 2021, 2021, 2022.
Yeah, she was like, you have to look at this girl Gab's page.
She's like, you'll love it.
And then Karina started doing her makeup, and she was like, you have to have her on the podcast.
She's so cute and fun.
Oh, I love that.
You mentioned that you do no marketing.
Mm-hmm.
And you really use social media as your strategy.
Mm-hmm.
What is that looked like?
No marketing on, like, is amazing.
No paid ads, nothing.
No.
That's amazing.
I'd love for you to speak on that.
Yeah, so I would say, again,
The premise of the business being a fully word of mouth-based business is I believe to my
call that there is no better recommendation than the one that's come from your best friend or
your girlfriends on a night out.
So I know that also everyone talks.
I know that people going out for lunch.
Where did you get that bag?
Oh my gosh.
It's whatever it may be.
So I just know the power of the word of mouth marketing option and tool to go with.
And I think too that a part of the business, it is this, like, if you know, you know type
business and that I kind of like that it has all happened organically.
It's like, if you know, you know, Gab.
And then it's kind of come through that way.
And it's all been through social media.
I really believe that, you know, obviously Instagram is the core one, but TikTok also.
And it's just been so powerful for us.
And the more that you post yourself, do you feel like you are getting yourself out there more, too, without marketing?
I do. I feel that my, yes, being out there, whether it's on a podcast, on, you know, heading to events or being on a panel, like it's all made a world of difference.
And those are things I thoroughly enjoy. Like, I love being here today. I love going on the panels. I love talking about the business and the industry and everything in between.
So, yes, I think those for sure have helped, even if it's just set a bit of intrigue.
Like, there are so many people that still don't know that this industry even exists.
And so whether it is going out there and me speaking about it right now, it's like, wait, I could pay someone to find me a handbag that I've been looking for that's sold out.
Like, that excites me more than anything.
And there's still so much room to grow into that.
What do you do with all these events at night?
You mentioned your sleep.
I get so, like, I, how do you do it?
What do you have to do?
I, okay, no.
No, so I, okay, number one, I am very strict with what I now say yes to.
You have to be.
Yes, going to the opening of an envelope.
You got it, you got to be.
No, and I will say, going back a few years, back when I first arrived in LA, like,
I was like, I want to be everywhere and like, this sounds amazing.
But no, I'm very strict and my, a system will often laugh because there's so much things that comes in.
And she's just like, she'll immediately know there's a lot of nose at this point.
but also I'm very I like getting there on time so if it's a six to nine like I am there at the
beginning of that event I make the most of it and then I'm usually I'm leaving after whatever it
may be depending on the event but I think that's something that I've I too have struggled with
because it really exhaust you after a full day then you have to go to the event but I've also liked
seeing that some brands are getting a little bit more what's the word like thinking a little bit more
outside the box with different event styles rather than just a dinner. Because I think we've been to
so many brand dinners at this point. And unless it's a brand that I really, really, really love,
or if it's a friend that's hosting it, it's difficult for me to say yes. So if it's a little bit
of a fun, like, for example, Tori Birch, they've got an event coming up and it's like a pool party.
And I was like, that's kind of different and fun. And I won't go swimming, but I would go and, you know,
just enjoy a different type of event format. So what gets a yes from you? Oh. You have a
of like real honesty. What is what's the gab filter? It's the it has to be the brand. I would say number
one. So like if it's a luxury no influencer oh um I don't do much no no it's got to be a brand yes
yeah I would say that and the brand you know ideally it's a luxury brand it's within my
like Chanel exactly if they're inviting you you're going exactly they did one just last week it was at the
museum academy in Los Angeles. They're sponsoring this Marilyn Monroe exhibition. And that's a yes.
That's a yes. I mean, obviously, Chanel's at the top. But I was like, that's also like a fun event.
I would pop into that or I head to that. But so I think brand is number one. What else?
Also, obviously, if it's a friend, then I have to say yes, depending on, you know, what they're,
if they're launching something new like that, I'm there. Give us an example of a friend that you went to,
an event. So Sarah Walker, she's a fashion,
Influenza. It's called like styled by Sarah, I think, on Instagram.
Okay.
I love her. And she always comes to my events. And I think, too, like that's something like I, you know, I love showing up for people. And so she was hosting an event with Reformation. It was a lunch. Usually something I would say no to. But as soon as I saw her name on the invite, I was like, I'm going there to support her.
What else gets your time outside of work? Where does your time go when you're not working and when you're not in events?
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Are you sleeping?
Like really? Like where does it go?
Sleep is so important.
Like in terms of my priorities, that is absolutely so key.
Yes.
My aura ring, I love that thing.
And I just know that if I don't prioritize that, the next day, I'm just not going to be as sharp as I would like to be.
And that's, if I have a bad day in that regard, like that, that throws me off.
So sleep is by far, number one, the most important.
I would say that like I am a bit of a home body at heart.
So like I am at home, relaxing, getting my healthy food from whatever place it is in Los Angeles,
working out.
So I've just started actually doing weight training, which is so excited.
I know you talk about this often.
I love it.
I love it.
I started only a month and a half ago, the best.
And it's a really good place in L.A. called Royden Studios.
Love that.
So that's something that's also just like new for me, Pilates.
Like I'm big on health and wellness.
I'm really prioritizing myself, I think, more than anything.
What's your wellness blueprint besides sleep and workout?
Like, are there little things that you do when it comes to, I don't know, is it sauna?
Are you doing like ginger shots?
What are the little things that you do?
I would say that the other ones, I mean, I love this.
I take my little wellness formula tablets every day.
I don't know the brand, but it's actually called wellness formula.
So like, and they taste horrific, but those every day because I think immune support for me is key.
I never, ever, ever like to get sick.
sick. Sona's also a big one and then the other one is like lymphatic drainage massages.
I would get one every day if I could, but I love them. Just for flushing out, detoxing, I feel
incredible after and I really feel like it helps with the immune. Have you gone to Josie? You got to
meet Josie. What's her studio? Razelicious. And it's in L.A.? No. So she flies everywhere.
She's in L.A. all the time. I got to set you up with her. Please. She is.
so amazing. I cannot even tell you, she does the best lymphatic drainage ever. She has like
hands of an angel. And it's Brazilian lymphatic. So it's just really like a real technique that is
really interesting. And you can tell the difference I feel. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. It's you could tell the
I mean, I can tell the difference. Yes. I also feel like when someone puts their hands on you,
you can energetically feel if it's a fit or not. Yes. You know what I mean? Yes. Yes. It's so true.
those first few seconds.
Yeah.
She's really amazing.
I have to set you up with her.
She is so talented.
She'll blow your mind if you like lymphatic.
Well, love.
I'm hooked.
I mean,
I've truthfully kind of danced around a few different spots in L.A.
Because I like testing out new ones.
The latest one is,
I hope I don't get the name wrong,
but it's A.M.B.
I'm pretty sure.
Okay.
But they wrap you in like this magnesium wrap
and you go into the sauna before your lymphatic drainage,
which was new,
but I kind of loved it.
Is there anything that Australians do that Americans need to do more of that you think?
Oh, the one thing I will say is we love an early wake up in Australia.
Like, we are up and Adam at 5 a.m.
And we are jogging on that beach.
It comes up on my TikTok, funnily enough, quite often of like they are just doing things differently down here.
There's no cocktails then at night.
Depending on what city you're in, but no, I think it's.
Overall, it's a very health conscious country in pretty much all major cities.
And we, yeah, I would just say that that's kind of something that we've always had.
But if you go to Australia, you will absolutely, if you wake up at 5 a.m., there's going to be run clubs, people running.
What's where are we waking up with you?
I'm a, I'm more of a 6 a.m. girl, slightly later.
That's still early.
Yes, yes.
Do you have a specific morning and nighttime routine that you adhere to?
Or is it like you're waking up checking the ring and we're going straight into work?
We are.
Yes.
Straight into work.
So it's grind mode right now.
I would say the thing though is as much as that's like, you know, I just feel as though
that almost in a way, like it just sets me up for the best day being able to check it.
And I wouldn't say I immediately jump into it.
But I just have to check it just to know kind of where the day lies ahead.
But immediately after, I've had the same smoothie every day for like eight plus years.
What's the gab war smoothie?
So I have, it's one banana.
It's like a cacao's chocolate smoothie.
So it's one, from frozen banana, handful of spinach, collagen.
I love that Agent Nauture collagen.
So good.
So good.
Cacao, avocado, what else we got in there?
One date.
An almond milk.
And every day I've had that.
It sounds really good.
I got to try it. I also don't drink coffee. I have never drank coffee. Oh my gosh. I know.
What are you doing for energy? My smoothie. Just the smoothie. The smoothie I treat as a coffee because
it is, I can't start my day without it. Like it's my, if I don't have my smoothie in the morning,
I think I'm struggling a little bit. So that's like your ritual. It is. And what about a wind down
routine? So in the evening, I, I'm not as consistent with like this the same time every day,
but like I'm definitely in bed by, if I've got nothing on that night, I'm in bed for sure by like 9 p.m.
I would say watching either like a TV, like some kind of movie to wind down or reading.
A reading?
Yes.
Book or Kindle?
Book.
And what are you reading?
Oh, so right now it's strangers, which I feel like is.
Yes.
Have you read it?
So good.
Yes.
I have another one that's just like that if you like it.
Yes.
It's called awake.
A wake?
Yes.
Okay.
Awake.
Okay.
People like strangers go get awake.
Okay.
It's very similar.
Essentially, like she, she, it starts off.
I'm not giving anything away with her husband whispering a voice note to his mistress.
And they've been married for like 25 years.
And so she's like dead asleep and she hears him like voice noting his mistress.
Oh.
And like it just like unravels from there.
But it's similar to strangers.
A strangers, there's like a kind of like a morbidness to it.
Do you feel that? Yes, yes. I'm only early in. That's okay. So you can feel it. Yes, yes. It is true. It's an absolute hit. When I went to get it to the store, I went, I think to Barnes & Noble, and they're like, we just restogged. We keep selling out of it. I'm like, lucky day. I might have to source a stranger's book at some point.
Yeah, seriously. They might put in a request. I feel like you could source like crazy coffee table books. That's the thing that's like, I swear to God, interesting to me. I'm always trying to find books on like.
thrift books.
Really?
Is that I never knew that was a thing.
Books are like some are really crazy hard to find.
Like some are blacklisted too.
There's this book called You'll Never Make Love in this town again.
It's by all these high class escorts and it's about all the celebrities from the 80s and 90s.
And it took me so long to find this book because it was like blacklisted.
Where did you end up finding it?
I feel like I found it on like some random like maybe eBay.
Okay.
Something like crazy.
You did a deep dive though.
I did a deep dive.
Isn't it satisfying though when you're looking for something and you don't think you can find it and then you find it?
That is the premises of my entire world.
It's fun.
We call it the thrill of the hunt.
Uh-huh.
And it is what drives me almost daily because it's so, and I always say, I often say that I truthfully, obviously, you know, I am in business, but I truthfully don't care as much if the client actually takes the eye.
as opposed to like the feeling of finding it for them and sharing the news with them.
Oh, they don't always take it.
Exactly. Exactly.
That's annoying though if you find like a $10,000 item and they don't take it and you're
like, fuck.
It's a bit of a share.
That's all annoying.
I'm like, oh, that was a tough one to find.
But we do, again, we leverage our stories for that.
We'll post our pieces almost every day of, you know, we call it like the offered by.
So it's an offered by a series of pieces that clients can shop now.
often I'll post pieces where I'm like that I found that the client didn't take that I'm like I think someone else would want this.
And do they?
They often do.
Yes.
Things so quickly on those stories.
This episode is brought to you by Squarespace.
Squarespace is the all in one website platform designed to help you stand out and succeed online, whether you're just starting out or scaling your business.
Squarespace gives you everything you need to claim your domain, showcase your offerings with a professional website, grow your brand and get paid all in one place.
Lauren and I love Squarespace. We love talking about Squarespace. We love sharing Squarespace. And that's because for two people who have largely built their careers online, we wish we had this back when we were starting. So many people depend on these third-party social platforms to build their brand. But here's the problem. You don't actually own that asset. You're renting space. You're renting time on a platform that you're at the mercy of their algorithms, their control, their rules. And it's really dangerous for somebody who's trying to build their own online business, their online hobby, their own online presence.
This is why everything we do, whether it's owning our website or this RSS feed or an e-com store, we own all of that.
Squarespace can now help you do the same thing.
Whether you're thinking about building a hobby, whether you're thinking about starting your own online brand, whether you're thinking about doing courses or subscription businesses, whether you're thinking about doing an e-com store, accepting payments, managing a newsletter.
Squarespace can help you do all of it and they can have you do it cost effectively.
They also have so many different features, whether it's cutting-edge design, SEO tools.
Squarespace is a partner that can basically do it all in one place without having to go to 18 different parties.
So if you've been thinking about building your online side hustle, your own business, your own online platform,
and you want to own it yourself without being at the mercy of a third party.
Squarespace can help you do so.

Quick break to talk about AMP.
I love this product.
It's something that I just got turned on to recently
that I've been sharing with everybody that'll listen.
And it's because I, of course, love taking care of myself.
I love working out.
I think everybody should take care of themselves
and find a fitness plan that works with them.
But here's the thing.
I'm also aware that it's not easy for everyone.
There's commutes.
It takes a lot of time.
Everybody's busy.
They got a lot going on.
This is why AMP is such a great product.
It's sleek, modern.
It's a smart home gym that actually looks good in your space.
It also has a clean and minimal footprint.
And it has an
all in one setup that replaces a bunch of traditional equipment without the clutter.
So you can do a ton of different workouts with a beautiful piece of equipment right from the comfort of
your own home. You can even install it in your office, wherever it makes sense.
But like I said, it's ridiculously easy to use, no complicated setup.
Everything is controlled with one smart dial, and it fits your schedule.
This is the most important thing.
You can choose workouts from 5 to 60 minutes, right at home, no commute, no waiting for machines,
and also no excuse.
Because this, again, is easy to use right from the comfort of your own home.
It looks great.
and you can do it anywhere from five to 60 minutes.
So you can ease into it.
You can do a quick workout.
You can do a long one.
And what I love about this product is it's made for real life.
It's perfect for busy people, small spaces,
and anyone who wants fitness to feel simpler.
So if you're somebody who's constantly on the go,
you have a tight schedule and you just can't fit in that workout,
it's so important to figure out a way to do so.
That commute, getting up in the morning,
going to a different place, finding the time.
Again, this is right in the comfort of your own home.
You have no excuse.
It's right there.
And their app guides you step by step.
It's like having a trainer in your pocket.
So check it out.
Go to amp.a.ai.
Again, that is amp amp-a-m-I.
This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp.
So let's talk about BetterHelp.
This is one of Lauren and I's favorite partners
for a long time now.
We love what they're doing for people.
We talk to so many high performers on this show
and so many of them swear by therapy.
BetterHelp brings online therapy
right to the comfort of your own home.
And here's something that they're doing right now.
Better Helps 2026 State of Stigma Report surveyed 2,000 Americans
and revealed that 85% of Americans
believe getting support is wise, yet 74% say society discourages people from doing so.
So there's clearly a gap. People believe that getting support is a smart thing to do,
including us. We talked to, like I said, so many high performers from entrepreneurs to
athletes, to celebrities, to authors, to writers, everybody that swears by therapy and how it's
helped them. We've had so many people swear by online therapy, and BetterHelp has helped
thousands of people. Don't just take it from me with over 30,000 therapists. BetterHelp is the
world's largest online therapy platform, having served over 6 million people globally, and it works.
with an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 for live sessions based on over 1.7 million client reviews.
That's a ton of reviews.
BetterHelp therapists work according to a U.S. strict code of conduct and are fully licensed in the U.S.
And BetterHelp does all the initial matchmaking work so you can focus on therapy goals.
A short questionnaire helps identify your needs and preferences.
And their 12 plus years of experience in industry leading match fulfillment rate means they typically get it right on the first time.
Of course, if you aren't happy, you can switch therapists for any reason at any time.
Don't let stigma stand in the way of support.

You credit kindness as a strategy. I love that, especially living in L.A. Kindness is important.
It's not hard to be kind. 100%. Why do you credit kindness as a strategy? I would say that it's
it's who I am. It's every part of me. And I feel that it's obviously how I've, you know,
I think what's interesting to my story in particular is that I didn't come from luxury.
I didn't come from any background that would warrant me access to these pieces.
So when I was first going into these very high luxury boutiques, as a, goodness, 25-year-old at that point, in Australia,
walking in to Diorby and like, hi, can I have access to your most coveted piece right now?
It's like, no, you've never shop with us in your live and we don't know who you are.
So in terms of those relationships, it always, I think, genuinely came down to like how genuine I am and how kind I am to be able to develop those for them to give me an opportunity and a chance to work together and to build the foundation that we have.
So I will say also, I think that we, you know, we spoke about, it's the Australian, like, nature of me that Australians are just so, such friendly people.
I love Australia. Yeah, so kind. Breath of fresh air. I know. And I think that's, you know, that's my upbringing. And it.
and how I was raised and everything in between.
So in terms of it, yeah, it's just something that we can call it a strategy.
I don't call it a strategy because it's just who I am.
And because it's who I am, it's helped me develop this amazing, incredible business that I now have.
What is it like to not have access and then to be granted access?
How do you contextualize that in your brain?
Because that's, I'm sure a lot of people are curious that you kind of have passed the red ropes
and gotten access to all these celebrities and brands that some people don't have that access to.
That is such a great question. I really, really like that. I would say that it really makes me think
that, like, you know, truly anything is possible. If you look at my background, like, I would be
the last person that you would expect to be sitting on this chair right now and to have built the
clientele and the business that I have because of just, you know, not having,
perhaps some of the access that I would have, if I had of had, would have been able to like
accelerate the growth of the business. But I would say that it's just like, yeah, dream,
a dream beyond what you can imagine, anything is possible. But like, always stay humble. That's
something that I've loved a compliment that I like hearing is that like, Gab, you're so
humble. And I think it's something that it's just like, I think of almost like pre-Gab Waller
and now Gab Waller and it's just something like I'm still the same person, but can make a lot of
people happy with what I do. What does your vision board look like? Do you have a process for that?
Is there something that you do now that you're eight years in that you think really works?
So I'm perhaps, so I do two things. So every year in December, I always book myself a solo vacation.
So I've done everything from like the Palm Heights and Grand Cayman, which is like amazing.
Beverly Hills Hotel, usually like two nights. In Palm Heights, I did a bit longer, but like two nights is my ideal.
And I remember sharing this.
I know you've had P.M. Mans on this podcast.
Yeah, she's lovely.
You remind me of her your energy.
Oh, you guys have similar energy.
Yeah, similar energy.
I love that.
And I remember telling her and then she adopted it.
I don't know if she still does it.
But, and I'll go like solo for, you know, completely, not off grid, but like, just really switch off for those two nights.
And I'll go deep in, I'm more of like writing it out.
So it's like splitting my goals between like personal career, you know, health and everything in between.
but the career ones, probably the ones I go really deep into.
It's not just like setting the goal.
It's like, okay, how am I going to achieve this?
What are the action steps for this?
So, you know, whatever it may be, it's kind of like, you know, be on this podcast.
Okay, cool.
Like, who can I reach out to from the team to potentially be able to be put on their radar or whatever it may be?
I think it's one thing just setting the goal, but like I really need actionable steps that I can really tick off.
But I'll do that in December for the year ahead.
In terms of actual vision boards, I'm not like a.
physical vision board girl, but I will make them on my phone and set them as my background.
And yeah, I've done them over the years. I've been done one for like my summer last year,
but it's not my permanent screensaver, but it's one that I can like swipe too often to see
what's there. That's a great idea. There is something that I feel like I saw that this show was on
your vision board. Why did I see that? Yes. Did you message me that? Where did I see that?
Oh, I don't know, but I kid you know. I think I think this show's been on my, my, my,
My goal is for like three years.
I should check.
It's definitely two or three years that I've had it.
We had to wait for the rebrand.
So you could wear this cute outfit where the rebrand would be cute in the background.
That's actually, that's exactly.
It's better that you did it when we waited for the rebrand.
Trust me.
It was meant to be.
It matches with your outfit.
Everything's happening for you.
We just got the lights fixed, right?
Carson, everything's like everything's the way that it should be.
See, it was all meant to be.
When I was researching you.
I found something really interesting that I personally need to know more about.
Your DMs are meticulously color-coded.
Yes.
What is that system?
Yes.
What do you mean?
So I have the sharpest DMs in the world going on.
So two number one things that we use the most is the lead and booked function.
So over time, like when friends get a peak of my phone, they're like, what is that?
So basically we have a DM set up that a DM will come through.
Everything's marked as booked right now.
So everything, when you scroll through our DMs, it also is booked.
But when a DM comes through and a client submits a request, we send a, obviously, a response.
And then we write a little thing called Open.
And it's automated that it will change the status to lead.
So then we know that that's an active request that we then need to log into our database.
Once it's logged, it automatically gets changed to booked.
So it's hard to explain without you seeing a visual, but it basically allows it.
So no request is ever missed because pre this system requests are being missed.
Like, is that logged in our database?
Like, what's happening with that?
So we use lead and booked as like our two core functions for managing the incoming requests that come through.
I don't know what you're talking about.
Lead and book.
Yes.
So, oh, it is a business account.
So I don't know if maybe that's why I don't have it.
Potentially.
But it's in like the right hand corner.
I'm trying to think because it's all automated.
We've got it like automation setup galore, but I think it's in the top right hand corner.
You can manually change a status.
It's basically a status change.
That's what it's called.
We're changing the status in the DM.
Is it a color?
So those lead is purple and booked as like a red.
So those two are colored.
But what you're referring to is we have the conversations color coded just by the client's region.
So anytime we open a client, if it's green, I know that I'm talking to a client in the US.
If it's like a rose color, I know that I'm talking to a client in a.
Australia. Oh my God, you're organized. It's, it's sharp. And I think, like, again,
kind of going back to, like, the business being so personalized. If I'm talking to a client in
Australia, I'm to the point of, like, I'm not saying happy Monday. I'm saying happy Tuesday,
because they're a day ahead. Got it. So it's just like those little things that just make a difference.
Do you run your life at your house like this with organization systems or are you like a mess at home?
No, I'm very organized. Organized? Yes. Okay. Like everything's folded, color
like the closet's organized? The closet could be.
organize more, I feel.
It's, yes, I'm not just going to say it's like picture perfect, but I think I'm more
organized when it comes to like work, organization, anything on my laptop, like my folder
is like crystal clear, clean, emails, it's just everything's labeled. But my kitchen, for
example, I don't have things labeled and everything in there. Okay. It's a little bit more like
neatly placed. Okay. Yes.

saving animals and preventing cruelty locally and globally. I have put a bunch of their dogs on
my stories to get adopted. And it's really cool because they're so focused on rescuing dogs from
high kill shelters across Southern California. And what they do is they place them in loving
foster homes for rehabilitation. So if you're interested in donations, fosters, they need adopters.
Please check them out. You can visit I Standwithmypac.org to donate foster or adopt. Every bit of

You have launched, you mentioned earlier, an AI tech platform sourced by.
Yes.
Tell us about why you decided to launch that and what people can expect from that.
Absolutely.
So as the business and industry started to grow, what was really clear to me is that we could
not scale at the current rate without proper infrastructure and place.
And also chat GPT when I ask what someone's wearing does not give me the right answer.
Oh, no.
I'm like, this is not.
No.
No, I know.
I know.
I've got some shocking answers on there as well.
So essentially, number one motivation for source by was to create a database where I could log all of my requests, be able to manage, filter, pull them up quickly, all in the one place.
Because of the high volume that's coming in, without that it's like, okay, maybe I've got.
could put them in an Excel spreadsheet or I could maybe use my photo album or a son or a Monday.com,
some kind of like management tool. But I wanted something that was built for my industry. And so
set out to build, sourced by. And that's exactly what it is. Even the way I've designed it,
it's like I'm scrolling through my Instagram feed, but I'm scrolling through my request. So I'm
like scrolling down. I can seal my requests. I can like with one click, I can mark something found.
I can save things. Kind of, I really wanted to feel like you're scrolling Instagram,
but we're actually scrolling open requests and marking things as found.
We do use AI to upload those requests.
So everything still comes through DMs or email,
but we then use AI to essentially input that data into the database.
Because pre that, I was like every day we had my assistant manually like source,
Chanel black handbag in size, medium or whatever it is.
And now the AI does that automatically.
It's so great.
Yeah.
And it's so smart for you to add that layer to your business.
Exactly.
And it's really just about streamline.
So all in one dashboard and we do everything from we can filter our request.
We quote clients.
We invoice clients in there.
We send tracking to clients from there.
And from day one, it's never been exclusive to just my team.
All sources in the industry can use the tech.
And if an audience member wants to use it, you said they need to DM you?
So for now, source by is for, it's like B2B only.
So it's for, it's almost like the behind the scenes tool.
So for now, it's not consumer facing, not to say that there won't be a world in which that happens down in the future.
But one thing I did realize, as I was building this out, is that clients actually love being able to just DM their request.
Because at first, I was like, I'm going to create the app where they can log in and they can submit their request.
And clients, they're time poor.
They want, the whole reason they use a source, one of the many is for convenience.
So the fact that they can just send a quick DM, we handle the rest in behind the scenes.
that's like the core focus for sourced by right now.
And when does the book come out?
Next year.
Yes.
Early to mid-next year.
Are you doing like a book tour and everything?
I would love to, yes.
Haven't like locked anything in yet, but I would love to.
Yeah.
And do we know the name or are you holding it?
I'm very close to finalizing it.
That to me is one of the toughest things I've had to decide on.
It's a lot of work.
Yes.
Writing a book.
Woo!
Oh.
A lot of work.
I love your book for what it's, yes.
It's just, it's constant.
Yes.
I think it's one of the hardest things.
Yeah.
Sitting down and actually writing and then picking that title so important.
Yes, the title.
And I've done, I've done a lot of work of like narrowing it down.
I'm now down to like top five.
Okay.
Which the thing is a good place to be.
Okay.
Well, when your book comes out, let me know.
I will.
Come back, come to the New York studio.
Oh, I didn't know.
It's a different vibe.
Yeah.
Oh.
I love what you're doing.
I'm a fan.
I told you that I have been pregnant for 600 years.
And so I'm always, I am looking for stuff all the time.
Like the other day I was looking for a Victoria Beckham tube top from a while ago.
But I just am starting to get my body back where I can like fit in these things.
But you also source handbags like you said.
So Michael needs to hit you up.
Yes.
And as I said, husbands don't like me that much.
He loves fashion.
Okay.
I think he enjoys.
enjoys buying me stuff and curating collections for me more than I enjoy it.
I love that.
He loves the process.
He just loves it.
He's so meticulous and thoughtful and like he just loves it.
I love that so much.
Well, yes, I'm going to share.
Well, he knows where to find me, but I would love to work with you both.
You are great.
Thank you so much for coming on the show.
You're fabulous.
Thank you for having me.
And where can everyone find you?
So on Instagram, the business account is gabwaller.com.
You can send in a request.
All we need is an image of the item, your size, and we can take it from there.
And then my personal is Gab Waller.
And you tracked down a Celine coat for Rosie Huntington Wheatley.
Yes.
And you found this Celine coat that was like a huge deal, right?
Yes.
That's what kind of, we never want to call it overnight success, but that's essentially
what put me on the map overnight of who was this girl from Australia.
Did she post it?
She did.
She was like, I couldn't find this code anywhere.
Exactly.
And never had any need to.
You know, she paid full price for that coat and she did like a 10-part Instagram story series
and posted it on her feed.
So I'm like, thank you, Gab Waller for finding me my dream coat.
Can you show me the coat when we get off the right?
Yes, absolutely.
It's the coat that like changed my.
I want to see the coat.
Maybe the coat needs to be on the cover of the book.
I actually love that.
Cute.
Is it a cute print?
What is it?
It is.
Yes.
It is.
I've always said to myself that I'm like throwing the coat.
in my house.
That's a good idea.
Frame it.
It's sitting at home.
So I'm like,
it's just waiting for its moment.
But I actually kind of love,
it has to have its moment in the book.
It changed everything.
Wear the coat on the cover.
Wait,
that's about taking notes.
Yes.
Gab, thank you for coming on the show.
Karina, thanks for doing our makeup too.
Yes, we love you, Karina.
