Hey folks, welcome to the sloppy boys where we take a deep dive into the drinks that you love.
I'm Jeff Dutton along with Mike Hanford.
Yep.
And Tim Calpacus.
What is up?
Oh, and we're your host of Sloppy Boys.
And do we have an announcement to make?
Ooh.
Right up top, folks.
We teased the end of the year show last week.
We teased it.
Yeah, we gave it a little.
That's a tease sound?
It's a lot of things these days.
It's kind of the only sound these days.
It's like the only sound we have these days.
Folks, the year-end celebration is coming to a city near you.
That's right.
Three special events.
The 29th in Boston at the Rockwell.
The 30th in Brooklyn at Littlefield.
And then New Year's Eve, 26, in Philly.
At Milwaukee.
Hell yeah.
Should old acquaintance
and all the rest.
I can't wait. I'm so excited.
The New Year's shit has been so fun the past couple years.
We've done Chicago and New York
and now a whole East Coast run in Philly.
Philly has been a MVP
in Slop World recently.
Milk Boy especially. That was a
top tier crowd last time we played and top tier sound.
We had a good sound person and just the acoustics.
we're tight.
I can't wait.
I love that we do the New Year's run these days.
That's fun.
I like that we've become like a New Year's act.
It's quite fish-like, wouldn't you say?
I mean, why shouldn't we?
Yes, it is.
Why shouldn't we, though?
We are basically a traveling party.
That's what our tour has become.
Would you say?
That's the best way to describe it, I think.
I like this fish comparison,
because I was thinking that you're going to say
that we're like Dick Clark.
I'm like, Fish Clark.
Who doesn't?
Is it Ryan C.
Seagrest now where I feel like everyone watches the, uh, the Anderson Cooper and
Oh, that's been, that's become like the new kind of.
It was Sechrest for a second.
Or maybe he still does.
But Dick Clark still has his name on the, I want to say, ABC one.
Right.
It's like Dill Clark's rocking New Year's Rock and Ryan Zecrest.
Oh.
Oh.
There was one, uh, Dick Clark year in the modern era, like right before he died where they're like,
let's put Dick on the show and, uh, have them, have them say,
hi to everyone and then they really
regretted it. It was like when
Kirk Douglas was at the Oscars.
Oh, yeah. But I don't know
if kids really have reverence for broadcasters.
But see, I don't think so.
It's nice because every, you know,
now everybody wears a diaper
at New Year's in Times Square, but Dick Clark
started that. Yeah, person.
Come on. And he's been wearing a diaper
every day. Terrible, you two.
Okay, you two are.
Here's the thing. I'm so excited for the end of the year.
I hope slobheads go on our socials and buy tickets to those shows immediately.
But right now we're sitting here in the dog days of summer.
And I can't wait that long for something fun.
Jeff, do you have any other huge fucking announcements for our fans?
Let me see what I got here, Tim.
Holy shit.
Would the largest sloppy boy show in history suffice, Tim?
The biggest venue we've ever played.
With the most people?
Nice.
That would be very nice.
Folks, Wednesday, September 16th, the sloppy boys are rocking the historic Hollywood Palladium.
Yahoo.
Can you believe this shit?
That is wild.
You might be asking, how did this happen?
And it's three words, the Rossman effect.
Oh, you're referring to Ben Rossman, our agent?
Mm-hmm.
The Rossman effect is bleeding into every aspect of life.
Every aspect of the Slopper.
boys at least.
It's funny that like amongst ourselves, we thought it was funny on tour.
If ever something went wrong, we would go, oh, the Rossman effect.
I won't say if anything went right too.
We don't go, ooh, that's the Rossman effect.
It was just taking blame away from anything.
We don't take accountability for it.
It's the Rossman effect.
And this is perhaps the best positive Rossman effect ever to come down the point.
Yeah, this is very good.
So we should clarify, we're not headlining.
We're opening.
But get there on time.
Be right there.
Be waiting.
Be watching.
Watch the opening act.
And then come chill out at merch, dudes.
I can't wait to do.
I can't wait to do merch in like a giant fucking arena.
Well, I'll be yelling out.
Did everyone get everything they wanted?
Oh, we haven't seen everybody yet.
That huge room with our tiny little muddlers and wee little guitar picks.
Like throwing a hot dog down a hallway.
4,000 people.
Folks, if you don't know the Hollywood Palladium,
this is a legendary room
at the end of the Blues Brothers movie
when they play their big show.
Oh, we referenced that in the Orange Whip episode
because John Candy is sitting in the crowd
Oh, the orange whip?
Exactly.
That's the most applicable of all the...
Geez.
Wait, Richard Pryor, live on the Sunset Strip.
That was the Hollywood Palladium.
Oh, shit.
The fucking...
Yeah.
What was the Studio 60 on the sunset strip?
Their like West Coast version of 30 Rock was the Hollywood Palladium.
Wow.
That's funny. That's great.
I mean, I saw it was like Frank Sinatra, Steve you wonder.
And, you know, we've seen, we've seen everybody from 100 gecks to our good buddies' pup and Rosenstock.
I saw a Chappelle there once and guess who opened for him?
John Mayer.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Huge overlap in those crowds.
Honestly, that's a friendship that has.
the test of time weirdly. I remember
Mayor popping up on Chappelle's
show and being like, what the fuck is this? It was
really funny. It was the first concert I went to that I
had to do a yonder bag, like you to put your thing
in it. Because he's going to say some
shit up there. He's going to say some shit. And
so John Mayer was up there and he was
kind of doing his music and some
jokes a little bit. And somebody
from the balcony right next to me was like,
you suck John Mayer.
And a security guard came up to me. He was like,
whoa, yo, yo. We're not doing that tonight.
Like, oh, shit.
Not tonight.
We're not allowed to make fun of this guy because it's like he was picked by the main guy.
I don't know.
We're not doing that tonight is a funny way of dissuading that.
It's also like, this is bigger than you and me here.
This is like, we're not doing this tonight.
Hey, he didn't know.
He didn't know.
He didn't know.
We weren't doing that tonight.
And I said, hey, I said to the Sierra Day, I said, you suck.
He said, whoa, we're not doing that either.
Ever any night.
Well, what are we doing?
He said we're enjoying John Mayer's music
and then we're going to laugh at So of Chappelle's jokes.
John Mayer is a very funny fandom
because like here's this guy that makes kind of sappy music
that moms like.
But then he's almost like more often than that
he's just like in situations where he's tolerated.
It's like he's in the Grateful Dead and you're like,
okay.
And he's sort of like, I see him, Mike,
remember when we were in the Hamptons
and we went to that bar where we saw the Winkleless?
Yeah.
I've seen like paparazzi photos of John Mayer and Andy Cohen hanging out at that bar together.
Like he's just like being rich guys.
Just like he hangs out with Andy Cohen.
Not,
not Winklevoss,
not seeing the Winklewax.
Just at that venue.
Oh, wait a second.
Andy Cohen is a deadhead.
Now I understand the connection.
Oh,
that's fun.
Timmy,
answered your own question.
That's good podcasting.
That's funny about John Mayer.
He's got like,
he had his like teeny boppery phase,
you know,
like running through the halls of high school type thing.
And then he all of a sudden was like the serious jazz guitarist.
And then all of a sudden he was dating Taylor Swift.
And then he's in the, also in there, he was like Chappelle's buddy.
And then he's in the Grateful Dead.
It's a very strange, like, kind of what you're saying.
He goes just wherever he's sort of needed to be in some good guitar.
He had a few years there in the 20 teens of like an apology tour, but it wasn't from being canceled for anything.
It was just that people didn't like him because he was annoying.
And he agreed that he was like an annoying guy.
He went out with Swifty, right?
I didn't know that.
I know that he,
Swifty is a Taylor Swift fan.
He probably went out with many Swifties over the years.
Sure, she's got a huge fan base.
I remember him like bragging about having sex with Jessica Simpson, that type of thing.
Yeah, he was a braggard for sure.
And I think he said some off-color stuff too.
Oh, he said the David Duke thing.
He said racist shit, okay.
He said his dick was a white supremacist when somebody,
asked him if he dated any black women.
I just want to say that I think that if the sloppy boys made love to Jessica Simpson,
we would be such class acts about it and we wouldn't kiss and tell.
You would get a word out of me.
We would give her one of those Derek Jeter gift baskets.
Okay.
With Jeter stuff.
With Jeter stuff.
A signed Jeter card, a chocolate cheater head.
She's like, wow, I love Jeter stuff.
Whoa, you got Jeter stuff.
stuff. Yeah, this is for you. This is Jeter stuff for me.
I love Jeter V. I already have all this jeeter.
Oh, yeah, I already have this exact same stuff.
That's Jessica Simpson.
All right, do we get into some booze news?
Yes. Bibbib, booze news, hit it.
I've heard about what a fun piece of shit you are all night.
So what do I have to believe you for me?
No, no, no, no.
Damn.
What a fun piece of shit was sent to us by Ian Bauer, the Bower Turbo.
And if you have a booze news team, email it to the sloppy boys podcast at gmail.com.
Oh, Bauer.
Pats.
Taking one of my darkest evenings and making comedy out of it.
I don't know.
That's what the best artist is doing.
Oh, you don't know.
I mean, folks, if you don't subscribe to the sloppy boys blowout, Patreon.com slash
sloppy boys, you didn't get to hear our tour.
Diary episode, Summer Sizzle, where Jeff had an altercation with a dickhead bartender.
Yeah, I'm not proud of it.
No, it's, that was big of you, Jeff, to bring it on to the pot to the blowout and actually
like, uh, that's, that's an embarrassing thing to like live back. You know what I mean?
It does. I mean, I'm not being. It weirdly makes my blood boil like just hearing it, like
hearing him, hearing me. But good pod fought. It was an accidental recording, folks, go check it out
behind the paywall.
It really, it's, it was just a very human moment because we've always been there,
but you wouldn't think to like just talk about that or write that or whatever.
You know, it's just one of those shitty parts of being human is sometimes you order a taco
and the bartender never brings it out and then he's a dick.
And you would never, you would never just walk away and go, yeah, fuck you, man.
Fuck you, man.
But you would come back and you would share your Taco Bell and also eat more of the
case.
It was a feast at the end of the night.
It was a happy ending in a way.
It went from a red wedding.
Okay, hold on.
It went from the red wedding to another good part of that show.
Anyway, go ahead too.
I wanted to talk about a little topic on Boo's News today
that has been on my mind ever since an article in punch caught my eye.
I just texted it to you guys on your cell phones.
And the headline is, where have all the buybacks gone?
under economic constraints,
dives and neighborhood bars
grapple with how to retain regulars.
It's a really good point that
there used to be a kind of
an understood tradition in bars where you were regular
that you were getting free drinks.
And it's like, hey, I ordered
if you belly up to the bar
and you settle in, you're like, I had three
Budlights. My fourth Bud Light,
the bartender's like, this is on us. And it was
like pretty regular.
Yeah. And I feel like
it happens to me,
every once in a while.
I was going to say the buybacks have gone to podcast hosts
because we're treated pretty well out on the road
and at my little watering hole here.
Oh, here's a little side offshoot question for you.
Part of this article kind of is going through the reasons
why you don't get so many free drinks at bars anymore.
One of them they kind of hint at is like that it's kind of supposed
to be a little bit of a secret,
but then if you're too open about it.
Because these drinks aren't going on the books, right?
So essentially the owners are losing drinks so the bartender can get more tips.
But I think back in the day, they used to actually just be okay with it.
Like it was a way to retain regulars.
So the buyback is you buy a bunch of and then they get you your other one.
It's not, hey, I buy one for you, the bartender, because that's a thing too.
Do you guys do that when you're getting shots?
Oh, wait.
Yeah, buyback.
Is that one?
I never even really heard that term.
I've been having a tough time reading through it as we're talking,
so I didn't get a good definition.
No, I don't like Fran Gillespie always when she orders shots.
She orders one for the bartender and stuff like that.
I'm a gregarious tipper and a wonderful guy,
but I never buy drinks for the bartender because they're fucking free for the bartender,
so it's a waste of money.
Yeah, and it seems like they usually will not do them too.
I've seen a bunch of bartenders like, well, I'm doing this way.
Yep.
Although the people at Zora darling,
and it was shot with the staff at Zord, darling
in Minneapolis.
Well, remember when we were in
Toronto, I went,
you guys were zonked out one evening
and I was out by myself
and I went to the shameful Tiki,
which was a very cool, darned.
I had a three dots and a dash
and a shot of Fernette.
And they didn't charge me.
And I showed you guys a picture
where it was like, the bill came,
but it just said in Sharpie,
like, it's free, exclamation.
Wow.
And I thought that was cool as fuck.
I found out it was because the bartender is a fan of the pod.
And the next night he was at our show.
And he explained that he didn't even know Tiki shit until he listened to our podcast.
And he heard the zombie episode and was like, oh, I should get a Tiki drink.
And he went to shameful Tiki, got into it, started working there.
And now he's a fancy bartender that made me a drink that, oh, yeah.
I could never make for myself.
It was kind of a beautiful moment.
That was kind of a beautiful moment.
Like, sent him off into, he had sent him off into his career.
Yeah.
And like, yeah, that's a, that's a cool bar where you make good money and it is a whole career.
But my question is, I was so happy when my drinks were free.
And then I didn't have any cash on me.
Usually if I get a free drink, I'm like, okay, well, I was someone to leave a tip, but I didn't have any cash.
So I just was like, thank you, bye.
And I left.
And then I was like, oh, I'll post it online and I'll brag that I got a free drink.
It'll give them a little plug.
do you think that I was breaking a code of secrecy by saying,
hey, everybody, I got a free drink.
And I tag them.
Maybe now that you mention it,
or maybe you got the guy,
maybe got him in trouble with the owner.
Do you think the owner's listening right now
and it's going to fucking fire this guy I love so much?
You could even take it further and be like,
hey, I got this free drink and you probably won't get one
because you know this hit podcast,
but I get it all.
I, I, I, I, me.
I, me.
I mean, mine.
Well, damn, Tim, that's interesting stuff.
I think that the bybacks are going away because of inshootification that affects us all in every way across this United States.
Everybody's tightening their belts and that includes bars so you ain't getting free shit out there, folks.
Tim, you mentioned three dots on a dash, did you not?
I certainly did.
I had the great pleasure of seeing the Dawn of Tiki documentary.
Oh, Jefferson.
In a theater, Jeff.
in a theater at the Adventurers Club,
sort of downtown here in L.A.
It's cool.
The Adventurers Club is sort of like a Legion,
an American Legion for what I wouldn't call
eccentric,
like charming badasses.
Wow.
They're like,
it's very life aquatic,
very West Anderson.
Like these are dudes who want to hunt animals and
sail seas and build canoes and like,
like,
like that guy, Dan, what's his name?
Dan. Blazarian.
Remember that guy?
Dan Lazarian.
Is he like a...
Blasarian? Yeah, he's like...
Yeah, he's like...
But yes.
He's always got like machine guns and like
ladies and stack some money all around him
on his yacht.
I don't even know if that guy's around anymore.
He was on...
Wait, is this a comedian?
No, no, no. It's an actual influencer guy.
Yeah, yeah. And this is, I don't even know if he's popular
anymore. But he's like, he's like one of these guys
who just seems like he's, uh,
goes everywhere and I love guns and money and girls and stuff like that.
This is a little bit more grandfatherly, but it's like they got a billiards hall.
They got it.
They got a.
That's cool.
I never heard of it.
Oh, you'd love this place.
A perfect place for the Don of Tiki film to play.
Truly.
And everybody there was wearing, uh, you know, their nice Hawaiian prints.
And you could tell that they were, uh, fellow appreciators.
And, uh, they were making my tides at the bar.
That was great.
And, uh, but Tim, I had a question for you because you saw this very film a couple of years ago.
Yeah, they had a screening at the Chinese theater in Hollywood like two years ago.
I had been waiting for this to land on streaming.
And then I got an email from a friend saying like, hey, do you want to see this movie?
And I was like, this is the very movie that was like never coming to Los Angeles.
And then it's funny that as soon as I got my ticket, I saw that it's going to be streaming like next week.
I'm sure by the time this drops, it'll be streaming.
And I do.
Do it as a blowout.
I loved it.
And I think you should watch it.
It would be a good blowout.
But when I saw it, there was a glaring.
omission of one Vic Bergeron, not represented in the movie. And I wonder, was he in the version
you saw to him? No, but I almost feel like I followed the Instagram account of this movie,
and I feel like they addressed, oh no, you know what? It was at the Q&A. Okay, so I have,
I asked at the Q&A why Vic Bergeron when it was. You asked the question? Yeah. So this is,
it's about a minute and a half, but it's a decent response. When are you going to tell them
like, hey, fuck you, man.
that type of thing. Yeah, I was like, you're a little piece of shit.
Fuck you. This is one of the co-directors, Alex Lamb.
He was in the movie for a very long time. We had a very long segment about Trader Vic.
We spent a day at Trader Vicks with his with his granddaughter, Eve. And we thought, you know,
the story of Don and Vic is a very compelling story, their competition and kind of how
Trader Vic came to be from mimicking what Don was doing,
but in a lot of ways doing it better than he was,
or not even necessarily doing it better than he was,
but he was kind of a better businessman than Don.
Yeah, commercially, it was much more successful.
The problem is, as we were editing this movie,
we kept asking ourselves,
what our moms find this interesting?
The people who weren't hardcore Tiki fanatics,
when we did test screenings,
You're like, yeah, you spent like 20 minutes talking about this guy, Vic, and then you never talk about him again.
And we were like, well, yeah, because we have to talk about Vic, you know, and then we asked ourselves, why do we have to talk about Vic?
So we realized it wasn't really respectful to Trader Vic to try to wedge his story into Don's life story.
And it also wasn't really respectful to Don to like, just be like, oh, let's take a side quest and talk about this other guy for,
25 minutes.
So as a result, it ended up on the cutting room floor.
And it's probably our favorite part of the movie that isn't in there.
Man, 25 minutes.
Yeah, that's a lot.
It's a great movie about a guy who was sort of a folk hero in a way.
He sort of fashioned himself into this like larger than life, Paul Bunyan-esque folk hero.
And I hope that they do a similar treatment.
The movie does well.
I feel like they could do a Vic Berger on one.
Yeah, if they already got 25 minutes,
they only need like 50 more minutes and they got a feature.
Hell, I can give them 49.
I was hoping, Tim, you saw the version that had,
uh,
no,
I,
I didn't.
And,
um,
but it's funny,
because I,
I,
I think I'm,
it's possibly even showed some of this ancillary content on their
Instagram.
I don't know.
But,
um,
it,
I get,
there's a thing,
uh,
I get what they're saying.
Um,
I don't know that I would necessarily would have my guiding light be,
what,
would my mom be interested in something.
because she would just want me to make a movie about her dogs.
But I do get what they're saying.
It's like if you're, if you're,
a movie has to tell a story.
And when you're doing a biography,
it's like you're,
you're trying to kind of force a person's whole life into like a structure.
But it is a glaring omission.
I feel like it would be.
Yes.
I mean,
he had enough conflict in his life without that.
Like it,
as much as I was waiting for that other.
shoe to drop. Thank you, Mike.
With Vic.
Like, he had,
he had a wife who kind of took the business out from under room.
He had mob ties.
He had a war.
Like, there's enough going on in his life.
You don't really need to bring in this other guy.
If I was in that editing bay and I got my mitts on the final cut,
what I would do is just use it as a mention in his assent.
Like, he was so popular.
Everybody loved him.
He even had quite a famous imitator, you know.
But then maybe they're saying that's a slight to Vic to just call him a knockoff artist or something because he was good as well.
This is why I'm not going to make any documentaries, although I do love blood, sweat, and beers.
That's a good one.
I think you should make the Trader Vic documentary.
I'll start rolling today.
Let's see what happens.
Roll on this.
Hey, is that it for booze news?
Wrap it up.
Jeff, you're going to kill me for this?
I turn my AC on.
It is just too.
Damn hot.
Well, I can't hear it, but if Meelan can, your ass is grass.
I turn it off now, but it's going to, it's going back out.
It's going back out later.
Mike, you were really confident.
Then as soon as Meelan's name came up, you got really scared.
I will do whatever Meelan tells me doing.
I do not want to make him mad.
He'll go berserkermode on me.
Well, with the booze news out of the way, it's a beloved segment, but it's not what we're
here to do, folks.
It was beloved, but now it's over.
It's like the Trader Vic portion of that movie.
movie. We just can't.
We can't. We can't. It was virtually
25 minutes and we cut it down.
So we're turning our attention to the drink of the day.
Who's got it?
Tea man does. Okay, the drink of the day
is the woo-woo,
aka the teeny weeny woo-woo,
aka vodka crayon and peach schnops you've had.
Woo-woo. No, I've not had.
Okay, so this is
a drink that came out of the 19-
80s East Coast bar scene.
Allegedly in Bayside, New York
at the new edition bar.
Anytime the Mets hit a home run,
the bartender would say,
woo, woo, and give everybody this drink.
I think it's also maybe
the party just saying
woo-woo-woo when you're having a good time.
It reminds me of Mighty Ducks 2 because
To woo-woo.
Nuckle puck?
Yeah, the same movie as knuckle puck,
but Kenny Wu scores a goal
and one of the commentators says,
Woo, Woo,
Kenny Wu.
Was he ordering a drink for Kenny Wu?
I think so.
Send him some alcohol.
Underage boy.
Well, anytime we get into these sweet
party drinks,
disco drinks from the 70s, 80s, 90s,
aka what we now
cocktail enthusiasts call the dark
ages of the cocktail,
I always think back to the film
Cocktail, 1988.
That's right.
Which we discussed in the very first
episode of The Sloppy Boys Blowout,
the better show of Patreon.com slash the Slopie Boys.
Right.
There's a scene in that movie where Tom Cruise hops up on the bar
and he recites a poem and mentions a lot of these drinks.
So I brought a clip.
I thought we'd give that scene a listen right now.
I see America drinking.
The fabulous cocktails I make.
America's getting stinking on something I stir or shake.
Sex on the beach.
The snows.
The drops made from peach, the velvet hammer, the Alabama slammer.
I make things with juice and froth, the pink squirrel, the three-toed sloth.
Make me one.
I make drinks so sweet and snazze, the iced tea, the kamikaze.
The orgasm.
The death spasm.
The Singapore sling the dingaling.
We should make the dingling.
the dingling.
Oh, and one other thing I forgot to mention
the woo-woo.
That's right.
The woo-woo.
It's vodka, cranberry, and peach
schnapps.
You see, Ocean Spray
invented the Cape Codder,
which is vodka and cranberry juice.
And then De Kuiper
invented the fuzzy navel,
which is Peach Snops and O.J.
So in a way,
This is a combination of the two, and it's called the Woo Woo.
Many cocktails of this age we're living in stemmed out of the Cape Codder and the fuzzy navel.
The Bay Breeze, the Sea Breeze, the Silk Panties, the Sex on the Beach, and don't forget, the Wu ounces vodka, one ounce peach, snobs, three ounces cranberry juice, garnish lime wedge.
add the vodka, peach shops, and cranberry juice
into a high ball glass filled with ice
and stir briefly to combine.
Garnish with a lime wedge.
It's the...
Wow, that's a long, extended clip.
Yeah, got right into the recipe,
so I don't really have to say it.
He forgot to rhyme there for a minute.
Then he brought it back.
He forgot again.
The woo-woo, thank you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He mentioned sex on the beach again.
that is so funny very funny
Tim also throwing it and that's good
but also just hearing
Tom Cruise's little voice
Hey dude
I remember when we watched that
I forget I forget if it was that
but it's cringified man seeing him jump up
and first of all just
how dare you tell us that
the world is such a way that a guy is going to do
a bartender is going to get up and do slam poetry
and people are going to cheer him on,
line,
by and I'm just like,
in the 80s,
people are going to give a service worker like,
yes,
you talk now.
You have the attention.
We're not all on cocaine and rich and assholes.
Like,
ready to beat your fucking ass.
He's about as cool and loose
as Hillary Clinton.
It's something.
He's,
yeah,
it's up there with all the best,
like,
cringe Tom Cruise moments,
like him throwing popcorn
in his mouth
and miss him,
but um it's also just funny remember last winter when we watched some like 80s ski movies um
jeff i think you were talking about like that attitude of like we doth like milady doth this and like
he has when he's doing that he's like i am the last barman poet and you're like that's that is
simply not funny it's a fake type of funny that only screenwriters think is funny and like how dare a writer
be like well yeah might be lame but if the
world thinks it's cool than the audience will be in my little dreamland it's cool to be a writer
there we've we haven't we talked about once but we haven't seen st elmo's fire which we should watch
because it's about a bar i think st elmos is the bar but anyway that too i don't remember exactly but
i feel like there's moments of that as well like kind of like um almost like frat sort of uh
chan type stuff there's some good roblo playing saxophone on the bar oh
Oh, yes.
All lubed up.
A fellow sax band.
Play a little woo-woo himself.
Didn't what do you guys steal a baseball from Roblo?
Yeah, Jeff, save it for the live.
Save it for the live events.
Save it for the Hollywood balladium.
Conflating.
I'm conflating different events.
All right, this is really cool and really good for us to drink.
And I'm not cringed out by the name.
I think teeny weenie woo-woo is fun to say.
Now is, yeah, go ahead.
I don't have the same reaction that I do to, uh, ooey-gooey buttercake, which makes me cringe.
Now, what's the teeny weeny-wee part of it?
Because I, woo-woo, teeny-wee woo-woo calls to mind a small penis.
Right.
Penile.
I'm not really familiar with that topic.
Oh.
Me neither.
I've read extensively about it.
I dug around quite a bit trying to find why, but I don't know.
I guess the original name.
I'm trying to find your fucking cock.
The originally it was a teeny weeny woo-woo, and I think it had to do with it.
It was a shot, a shooter.
And so I don't know if that distinction is the, if the shot is maybe the teeny weeny,
woo-woo.
That makes sense to me.
Yeah.
That makes sense to you, you, yeah.
I'm excited, I'm excited to have this.
Yeah.
I'm seeing here that woo-woo is just the party vibe, shouting woo-woo.
Right.
Because when I hear woo-woo, you ever hear somebody described as woo-woo?
Yeah, like she's, like, the hippie-dippy into paranormal stuff or something.
New age or something.
Yeah.
I'm not all woo-woo, but yeah, those CBD gummies actually do put me a little bit.
You're getting it.
Okay.
All right, folks, we're going to go make these, just shake up these drinks.
And when we come back for Sips, it's your favorite moment of the show.
We'll be right back after this.
Chugga, chugga.
What half on the bag!
Woo-woo's in hand.
I'm excited for this.
It's like a lot of drinks we've had and liked.
I didn't have my, it didn't have my lime with me.
I'd squirt a little lime juice.
Ah, that's all right.
Jeff, yours looks darker than mine.
Did you put, uh, did you put more crayon or?
No, I'm exactly to specs to him.
Exactly.
I did dispecks too.
I had it in a bigger glass and I was like, oh, this is, it's like a huge, like mug type
of thing.
And I went to a little smaller guy.
Um, I thought I was out of a peach snobs and then I realized, you're never out of
peach snobs.
You just, you just never are.
If you bought a bottle, you have it forever.
Now, did you have the bottle that started at all?
De Kuiper, Peach Tree, Peach, Snots?
I do. I do.
I got the various.
That's what I had, too.
And I was like, God, is this out of date?
Like, is this expired?
It's been so long.
Oh, yeah, for sure.
It's a five-year-old bottle.
I got Tito's and Ocean Spray.
I feel like this is a nice, I'm going to squeeze that line.
That's a name brand, woo, woo, baby.
Oh, shit.
This is swayed by the smell a little bit.
It smells like a, it smells like a lollipot.
Like a popsicle.
like a Popsicle brand Popsicle that's, like, been in the freezer for way too long.
It's icy.
Did the Popsicle brand invent the word Popsicle?
Yeah, maybe Ice Pop is the word for, is it like a Kleenex thing?
Is that what you're saying?
Or just, I mean, I assumed that the word came first and then someone was lucky enough to copyright the brand name,
but I wonder if they actually came up with it.
Icicle.
We're going to have to check that out in a second.
Or fudgical.
Fudgesicle.
I'm going for it.
Yeah, that's a debate people have.
It's fudgical.
No, it's fudgesicle.
Basic people, normies.
Like me?
No, Tim, you're far from normie.
I want to be normie someday.
Can we have sips for once?
Here we go.
Oh, that's good.
Oh, yeah.
Ooh, indeed.
Okay.
I'm loving this.
I love this.
It just ramps up to a 10 immediately.
Pacino.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, Jeff told me something funny about Pacino in Heat.
Jeff, do you want to say it or do you want to see if I remembered it?
No, I'll say it.
Michael Mann took Pacino aside during Heat and said,
Al, your character has a secret.
And that secret is that he does co-es.
cocaine.
Now,
awesome.
There's,
you know,
Alzin is,
he's in some Coke movies,
at least one.
But,
uh,
in heat,
he doesn't talk about Coke.
He doesn't do Coke in heat.
It's just a character detail.
It's good.
That explains some of his wild fucking spice.
That's why he will just say,
she got a great ass.
Great ass.
Give me all you got.
Isn't that line he's talking about his,
he's like,
that's like my neighbor.
She's got a big ass.
Yeah.
And you got your head.
head right up it.
He's talking about
he's throwing his neighbor under the bus.
Also, yeah, but
it's great because it's like his marriage
is falling apart.
His stepdaughter is suicidal
and it's like his life is crumbling.
It makes sense that,
oh shit, do you guys know
he's a cop on the edge to him?
You know that he too is coming out
and that Leo is playing the Val Kilmer role.
Yeah, that's fucking badass.
Michael Man is directing or?
Michael the man.
Oh, that's fun.
Michael the man.
Man, that must be.
be that must be so interesting for some of these directors to be like, yeah, you know, I had this
movie out of heat a while ago and then get a phone call. Like, what? We're doing heat too now?
Now? What now? All right. Let me get the camera out. That'll be good. I hope that all goes well
because we should cover heat for the pod. That's a classic. I feel that's square in the demo. We're
going to hit them right between the eyes with that. And also, Mike, you saw a thief. That's
another great one.
Thief, yeah.
That was Michael Mann.
That was Michael, yes.
Bicycle thief?
Just thief. Just thief.
Jeff, I was, I was, to go off your point, I was on Instagram the other day.
And it was a little carousel of like, just a whatever account that was like, so many awesome
movies coming out in 2027.
And they were all, every single one of it was just a property or a, yeah, something.
Or whatever.
I was like, oh, man.
But it's when you get something like this heat thing, it's like, well, at least.
something I kind of remember.
I know.
I do think I wonder when we're going to start seeing the real fallout or the real effects of the like backroom's obsession effect.
You know, like that really showed people that zoomers are going to the theaters for for weird things.
They don't want their parents reheated IPs.
And I think it would be interesting to see what happens when like, oh, the, the,
cool thing is a weird story from a person who is not put through the same gears as everything
else. Something I've never seen before. Right. They already learned the wrong lessons. You can
see they already bought up all the internet creepypasta ideas. Right. And it's like they,
they just did the most risk-averse possible lesson learned. They always choose the wrong lesson.
What's creepy pasta mean again? It's just like almost a crowd-sourced horror property.
Like Slender Man stories and slender man, Sirenhead is another one.
Oh, creepy, why creepy pasta just because it's kind of a mix?
It's like the name of the subreddit.
Yes, exactly right.
I think, yeah.
But nobody owns it.
It is, yeah.
We're going to have that funny thing we've talked about in the pot and we should name it so that sociologists credit us for it.
That like in the next couple years, we're going to have the fucking shitty corporate
version of weird be sold to us instead.
of the IP sequels and stuff,
it's going to be like the lamest writer you know
and the lamest producer you know
are going to have hundreds of million dollars
to make weird old man.
Tim, come as you are.
I mean, it's happening again.
You remember the grunge movement?
I was little young.
What they did to that?
What they did to that?
They fuck it, man.
Oh, man.
It is funny that I am, I love,
I'm a 90s kid.
I don't know if I've mentioned
to that if I've come out as a 90s kid on pod
but I'm a millennial
It's interesting that like
You had you had you know
Nirvana and Pearl Jam and Allison Chains
And then the entire record industry was just like
We want stuff like that
A band that writes their own songs and does their own weirdo shit
And you got so many weird
The cool thing was to be like a weirdo band
So you had all these like cakes
And presidents of the United States and Green Day
And Weezer and all like
Whips and all like
and all this major label weirdos, yeah.
And so it would be cool if we got a movie version of that.
It's sort of like the Easy Rider Raging Bulls type of.
We were kind of coming out of the 90s film festival scene,
there was a moment there where indie film became a genre rather than a finance category.
And then it crapped out.
So it's coming back around.
But I think that like I'm curious in the next version of it,
it feels like I would love it if in 2028 we can do a cool.
version of it, but I have a feeling
it'll be the same venture capitalists
funding all of it, so I have a feeling
they're going to reach out to the wrong people.
And yeah, I would
love if they just said, they always
isolate the wrong part, but like,
if the thing was to give money to young filmmakers,
I would love it even if they chose the wrong
ones, and they're like, let's find this 12 year old and
give them all the money in the world to make a movie.
That's more interesting than creepy
pasta characters. Than being like, Judd Apatow
does salad fingers.
Sounds pretty good.
Salad figures.
It's another just like weird, old internet flash animation horror thing.
Man, I can't, I can't keep up with all this internet stuff, Jeff.
You know that.
Salad Fingers is like Homestar Runner Arrow.
I know hot dog fingers from everything everywhere are all once.
Oh, those guys are coming out with a new thing too.
The Daniels?
Really?
The Daniels.
I was just thinking about that, well, a while ago now, but it's about time for them to come
out. So that movie was like three years ago. It's past time. That won the damn award of the year,
didn't it? It took it home. It took it home. The award of the year. It was cool. Well, is this
drink still making you say woo-woo? This is great. I think on the sloppy boy show, we're open
about how we like sweet drinks, right? And maybe we stop sort of cloyingly sweet. Have you seen
the video of John Bernthal and who's Kyle Ryan? Come on.
Adam Driver
Adam Driver.
Somebody asked them
beers or cocktails
and Bernthal's like
beers
and driver just sighs
he does like a very
Snape-esque sigh
and then
Berenthal's like
what are you a cocktail
I didn't know that
and he's just in the most
leveling voice goes
cocktails
we got to play that at the end
Meelan
fire it up at the end
at the end
you have to state at the end
to listen
and then hit him
with Woo Woo
Kenny Woo
Stick around for a lot of shit.
We are disabling your fast forward button from this point on the pod.
Sorry.
I think that this, as you can imagine, with a lot of sweet mixed drinks, as it gets meltier, it gets better.
I mean, I enjoyed my first sip, but I kept going.
But, you know, this past weekend, I was at, you ever go to Shadow Lanes in Korea Town in L.A.?
Yeah.
S-H-A-T-O.
Yes.
I stole a pair of bowling shoes from them once.
and then felt guilty about next day gave them back.
I did that in high school.
Stole some bowling shoes.
They were ratty, two-tone.
They were supposed to be like red on one side
and like, I guess like white on the other,
but they were like gray-brown.
Yeah.
Did you take it back though?
No, I wore them proud.
And they had like cardboard bottoms
and they beat the shit out of them
because in high school,
just doing something weird was like the most novel.
actually I liked myself
and I like my high school self
I won't talk too much shit about that
sounds like you've been doing some shadow work
go ahead Tim
oh shadow lanes
speaking of shadows
oh that's what I thought you were talking about
shadow um
they have there
the bar there is sort of
frozen in time and their drink menu
is really fun
iconic I was there throwing them back
and listen to this they have
$10 standard mix drinks
and then
$10 juice mixed drinks was a part of the menu.
Interesting.
Cape Cod screwdriver,
Bay Breeze, Greyhound,
salty dog, Madras, California and Tequila
Sunrise. I did a California and it was vodka,
OJ, and grapefruit,
but, look at this.
So did you take the 10, the 405 to the 10?
Stop.
Come on, man.
No, I said stop.
Also, look at it. They have green tea shot,
Mexican candy shot, lemon drop shot.
This was a great bar,
I like any time when something's called like a candy shot.
That always sounds good to me.
Take me to the candy shot.
We'll have three candy shots.
The amazing thing about this menu is the what looks like where you would be explaining what's in the drink.
They're actually telling the bartender how to make it because the Californian says vodka,
comma, fill with orange juice and grapefruit.
So it's just the recipes are the blur.
It's for everybody.
You take the menu home with it.
They're giving away trade secrets.
That's dangerous.
Now, here's a drink that Mooky ordered and I got a sip of that I thought was wild.
Do you remember on the show we did The Godfather?
Mm-hmm.
Scotch and Amaretto.
Oh, that was good.
That's a good.
Equal part.
Right?
Equal parts.
Equal parts.
To taste.
To taste.
Similar to the French 72.
French connection was Cognac.
Yes.
That was good, too.
Now, they had a drink.
In their $13 liquor drink section.
They had a drink called the Marlon Brando.
Hey!
Now, they had a godfather, too.
But then the Marlon Brando was a godfather plus a little cream float.
So it was a creamy.
I don't know what makes that.
Maybe Brando has...
He fucked a lot.
He did fuck a lot.
He did.
He certainly did.
Yep, banged them all, didn't he?
What's that from?
Bang them all, didn't he?
Oh, the consummate swordsman.
That's sort of the conjoined twins comedy.
Yeah.
bang them all.
Yeah, what is that from?
Stuck on you.
Stuck on you.
That's so funny.
And it reminds, the Widows Bay joke reminded me of bang them all when they're giving the New York Times writer a tour of the like historical building.
And that older woman is just like, yeah, the witches, we found, we rounded them up.
We burned them.
It's like a proud moment for the town.
Yeah.
Yeah, we caught them.
We burned it.
He banged them all, didn't he?
I've got a round two idea.
I'm going to make mine with vanilla vodka.
I still have some of that vanilla absolute left.
Mike, you're nasty with that stuff, man.
I used the last of my vodka citrone last night.
So that would have been what I used.
Getting me more in a causal.
What were you making?
Well, I was making, weirdly, a bunch of my tides,
Don Beach style my tides, just because I had.
those ingredients lying around.
Then I ran out of those rums
and I pivoted to kind of doing
the same thing with vodka citron.
And then I ran out of that, wouldn't you believe?
Jesus.
But that would be bringing us more
into a cosmo direction, wouldn't you agree?
I would agree.
Yeah, that's sort of cosmological, yeah.
That's the word, all right.
Yeah, why are we stopping down for this?
Let's go.
Keep moving, Jeff.
Let's get away from this possible word
or maybe it's not a word.
Who knows?
Let's get away from that.
Tim, are you doing any tweaks?
I don't think so.
I was looking if there's any,
if I wanted to turn this into like a sex on the beach or something,
but I kind of like to drink it.
I just want to have a round two to the letter of the law.
It's a good one.
It's a nice gulp.
Yeah, I think so too.
Unless something strikes me, and it might.
I think I'm just going to do another one to the letter of the law.
Folks, don't go anywhere.
Don't go to Smartless.
We'll be right back.
You know they're hovering over that smartless.
Alphabetically, they threaten us to him.
S.L to SM.
Come on, man.
Don't you go to smartless?
Stay right there.
We're back.
Woo.
I took, I, oh, you guys are in for it, man.
Shit.
No.
He's going to drink his drink.
If you remember back in our sloppy boys need a hit days, we came up with a drink
called the Carmen Miranda.
Right.
You took the little part of schnapps, the little one ounce.
And in that one ounce, I have peach tree, banana schnapps, and pucker sour apple schnapps.
So I sort of have a, I'm sort of conjuring sort of a fruit melange.
Ooh, not like the spice melange coming out soon in Dune 3.
From Iraqis.
And then also squeeze two big fat.
juicy limes in there. So I'm trying to, I'm trying to sort of get a whole fruit thing.
The lime helps. The lime juicifies it a little bit. I left lime out of, how is it, Jev?
Oh, that's fucking great. That's better. Better? And also, I got to say, weirdly, I thought sour
apple would stick out, be a little weird. It's, it's kind of like sharpening it up a little
bit with sort of the citrus. Yeah, it's kind of like, I would imagine sour apple and like the
tartness of the cranberries. Maybe similar? I can, I don't know. Shit. Good on you, Jeffie.
I did the vodka, I did the vanilla vodka there and, uh, how is that?
It's okay. I left out the, I'm going to go grab my lime in a second, but I left it out.
It's, uh, it's a little too sweet. I'm going to go grab the lime to see if it sharpens it.
Vanilla is so round.
You know, it's funny because Mike likes these berry pie flavors and I could see, like, I wouldn't
be reaching for the vanilla vodka, but I see how vanilla and peach together would have a cobbler effect.
It is cobbler-esque.
I mean, you know the Rossman.
the fact. This is the comment.
Let me go get that lime. Hold on.
And Tim?
I did another round
of the same and I like it.
Law-abiding citizen. I love it.
I really feel like the cornerstone
of this genre is the fact that
DeCyper Peach Tree Schnops,
the one that started it all
and invented the fuzzy navel, all that.
We got to give it up. You got to give it up because
it's, yes, it's a candy flavor,
but I,
I do like it.
And I think that the whole house of cards crumbles.
Mike, we're giving it up for Peach Street.
We're giving up for DeCiper.
Are you guys de Kipermen or Hiram Walker guys?
DeKiper.
I'm Lloyd.
Lloyds.
Lloyds.
You're Lloyds?
It's its own huge plastic bottle brand out of here.
Oh, I've seen it in your apartment, but yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
It's Lloyd's.
It's for me.
You had a big vat of Grenaddy that was making
Well, the high room is really good.
I mean, De Kuiper is probably cheap too,
but when you go to the perennially expensive cap and cork down the street on Hillhurst from us,
you go in there and they got those fucking 25 ounce bottles of all the Hiram walkers.
And they're all like $7.99.
Just cheap ass bottom shelf, colorful cartoon liquor.
It's like, whoa, I can have cotton candy flavored.
Yeah, exactly.
Exactly right.
what a funny thing those schnapps because it's like the artificial flavors that are added after the fact so you really could just have flavored syrups it's funny to even need to have grain alcohol in there is it just like i mean i imagine it's corn syrup or something but it's like syrup ethanol yeah and and like laboratory cotton candy flavoring right yeah it's it's grain alcohol and then flavors added so it's like it could just be the flavor it's weird that we need to have our 30 proof
flavor, you know.
Well, what about this for an idea for,
not a blowout, but a main?
It's almost like a blowout idea in the main.
We go to the liquor store of our choosing,
wherever we want,
and pick out like an interesting or weird shot or liquor,
something that we can talk about each on the pod.
I've been eyeing at Hillhurst liquors
where I've, you know,
where the whole Ounderberg situation has been unfolding.
they've got one bottle of de Kuiper
Rock and Rye Schnops and it is sunbleached
and I'm the only person looking at it.
I want to grab that.
It's sunblee.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
And for me, I have a nostalgic little tinge
in my little butthole.
Every time, every time it goes,
oh, man.
I go into Cap and Cork
and they have a bottle of,
aftershock, which is just cinnamon.
Yeah.
Right, right.
Cinnamon liqueur.
I remember that.
But it was like, I remember it was, uh, it was storied because it had like rock candy
crystals on the inside just because of the, the sugar content was so high that it formed
crystals on the inside.
But we thought it was because of a high alcohol content.
And so we're like, we got a bottle of aftershock, man.
That's funny because my high school was devout, uh, gold shlager followers.
And it was because it had real gold.
gold.
Yeah, yeah.
If you collect all the gold, you'll be rich.
Well, I think we can take all the conversation and information of the last of the last hour and boil it down, distill it down into our final thoughts.
Much like peach trees, schnaps, distilling their peaches down in Florida.
Last hour, Jeff, but I'm even going to go, I'm going to go back the last 300 hours and use all.
All my knowledge from all the...
You're drawing on all of that!
Cheating.
That's cheating.
From every...
Cheating.
Well, Mike, kick us off.
What do you think, dude?
This is an order again.
Of course.
This is too similar to all those other good little cranberry drinks we've been having.
That I can't say no.
And I'm going to open my arms wide to any bartender that wants to make one of these for me for the rest of the sala.
With our...
arms wide open.
Free, for free, of course.
With arms wide open, I hope you don't hack Scott Stapp's laptop during a relapse.
Oh, no, I hack Scott Stap's laptop, not during a relapse, though, is what I'm saying.
Tim, your thoughts, your final thoughts, present them to the triumvirate.
I love it.
I love all the Dark Ages cocktails.
You've got to be on board for tipping the scales because we're having a lot of sugar.
So, you know, I don't mind packing on the pounds for this drink.
We are. We are.
Folks, we pack on the pounds so you don't have.
No, I love this.
I love them all.
And I think that, as I was saying, it's like, it would all be a house of cards if it wasn't built on the strong foundation of peach tree, schnops actually tasting good.
And it's a faky taste, sure.
But I love that fake taste.
and therefore I love every version of the Sex on the Beach Empire.
Pestri Schnapps, it's the fake taste you love to taste.
I wonder why Tim likes every aspect of the sex on the beach.
Maybe he probably likes especially the namesake.
Yeah, especially the namesake.
Yeah, he'd rather be doing the namesake than this podcast.
Mike, you haven't seen my stand-up.
Sex on the Beach sounds good in theory, but do you ever really actually try that?
sand in your ass.
You ever try that? That's a lot
of sensitive skin.
A lot of it.
Oh, God. Now, for my
final thoughts, of course,
folks, it's an O-A
and O-N-A. Wow.
Remember O&A? We met him.
We met him at I-O. Oh, yeah.
Owen at I-O?
Was it I-O? We met O-N-A?
Probably.
It's, I got to say,
I got to give probably an
overdue apology
to all the people I've met and they've been like,
I'm this person, I've did the, the, the, uh, the booze news theme.
Like, what?
Oh, yeah.
Like, it's never right on the edge of my brain.
I apologize.
It's usually after a show.
I remember them because I'm the one who has to say them.
So I'm always like, hey, Pete, funny joke.
Hey, you know, I, I remember all.
And I, I am grateful for them.
You're not.
Speaking of a prominent slopheads, maybe I'll do this right now.
We got a box in the mail.
Oh, I.
Oh shit.
I did on our behalf.
Oh, God.
With a letter.
Hey, guys, enjoy the Amaro and gear from me and Fachi Abruto.
Oh.
From Red, aka Danny Noonan.
Danny Noon on the Discord.
Love them.
Now, check this out.
Yeah, look at that.
Fachiabrudo.
This is sort of a collab shirt with Fachi Ubrudo Miller highlights.
That's cool, Jed.
That looks like a type of shirt you'd wear, the Spaghetti.
A spaghetti shirt.
That's a very Jeff's shirt.
It is.
Yeah, that's a...
It's a very spiget.
It's a very Jeff shirt,
spiget shirt.
And it looks modern.
So the Fachiabrudo that we got sent is sort of their take on a Yeager Meister,
which is not my favorite if we're talking to Maros.
But their take, their take, Tim, is quite good.
I got a bottle for you.
And they got us a bunch of swag, stickers, and hats and stuff.
So you guys can, you guys can dig in like the hungry little piggyies you are.
When we all get together, you get that swag.
I love it.
That sounds really fun.
I've had so much funnier today talking about the drink, the woo-woo.
But I know you guys, you said you've heard of the woo-woo,
and that it's a drink that is like this, you know, woo-woo.
Like, it's like, there's a lot of things that are like, blank, blank.
But have you read of the blank, blank, blank quiz?
No.
That's right, folks.
The blank, blank quiz.
It's a quiz where I ask the questions.
You guys blurt out the responses.
And every answer is a word.
that is doubled up much like
Wu-woo. Are you ready for it?
Oh.
Yeah, I am getting there.
Okay, here we go. Question one.
This vaguely Asian shrimp dish
is one that I noticed on diner menus
all around the East Coast.
I looked it up.
Turns out it was invented at the Bonefish Grill in Florida.
Poo-Pootter?
good guess. Poppers.
Poppers. Shrimp poppers.
I don't think Jeff knows what we're doing here.
No. No.
You guys might not know it, but, but, but, but it, we.
Oh, blank, blank, blank.
It's the blank, blank, blank quiz.
But it's so weird in New York, actually all up and down the East Coast.
And listeners are screaming at their phones right now.
One ton.
Those are different words, Jeff.
Close though.
Closer than before.
I'll give you that.
Mike, you're muted.
Oops.
I said slant rhymes maybe with wandon.
Yeah, I'll allow that.
That's not slant rhyme.
This is just a rhyme.
I swear to God,
I've seen this on many menus
and even just like,
you'll be at like a Greek diner in New Jersey
and this like kind of vaguely faux Asian shrimp dishes
on the menu.
Nobody gets it.
It's the bang, bang,
shrimp invented at the bonefish grill and flannel.
Okay.
I never heard.
that.
Okay.
That's okay.
Never heard of it.
Ooh la la,
these sweet little confections are often eaten by fancy ladies.
Bonbon.
Yes,
Jeff's got it.
Well,
I was waiting for the thing to end.
I was going to say,
it's a bomb bond.
It's a bomb.
You do not need to wait for the thing to end.
Those are Jeopardy rules.
And this is the bang,
bang quiz.
In life,
never wait for the thing to end.
That's true.
Okay.
Next question.

Kiss Kiss,
Bang Bang.
Yes, Jeff Kenson.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
But finish that.
This is what you just said, asshole.
Sassy Shane Black film starred a smug bad actor named Robert Downey Jr.

whoa, whoa.
He does.
Was that a good
movie? People say kiss

LA movie. It's a good LA movie.
I haven't seen it on DVD,
so I would love to watch it on the

Last Boy Scout was another prominent one. But he's in Predator. Have you seen? Oh. He's an actor in Predators. Shit. Yes. Is he? Shane Black. Is he part of Men in Black? No. No. Next question. Choo-choo. Mike.
Fuck, fuck, fuck. That was so fast.
Mike. Oh, my head your toes.

Said two-to, two to the last one.

This refrain often
means that the editor-in-chief is ready for boo's news.
Wait.
Oh, oh, uh, hit it?
Boo's news, hit it.
Oh, fuck.
How can't, wait, wait, oh, God.
People are just fucking swearing at their, uh, at their phones right now.
Wait, repeat that one?
This refrain means the editor-in-chief is ready for boo's news.
We didn't use the, we just kind of phase this out, right?
I know what?
We've done it like hundreds of times.
What can't I think of this?
What do I say when it's time for booze news?
Bip, bit, bit, bit.
There you go.
Jesus Christ.
That's insane.
Have you even said that well?
Or was it just so all the time that I just don't know.
I feel like I always, I say Bip Bip Booz News news, but early on it was Bip Bip Bip
pretty hard.
And now the final question.
This is an unreleased sloppy boy song written by Jefferson Dutton.
Bomp Bop.
Jeff gets it.
And you have run the blank.
Blank quiz. Jeff, we should polish that up for album five.
Hey, sure. Nice work, Jeff. Nice, nice job.
And Mike, you're a hell of a competitor.
Thank you. I put it all, I left it all in the field.

You can pass on to your grandchildren.
You know what we should do?
We should do at the end of the year,
at the end of the calendar year,
we should say,
hey, whoever can prove they were,
we'll take all the people who were a patron for the full year
and one person wins all their money back.
We take the patrons.
We round them up.
One person wins all their patron.
money back. So if you, so each year
one person is going to get it for free, but you never
know who. But you got to, oh, you got to be listening
for the whole year. But then we get back
all of the laughs we gave them.
Oh yeah. Yeah. They have to call us up and he'd go
ha ha ha ha ha ha.
They got to suck the laughs back in.
I'm like Kirby.
Kirby.
What the final word on the woo-woo?
This recipe we used was
Tim, we did final thoughts. What are you doing?
That was final thoughts. This is final word.
Which is, this was the liquor dog com recipe.
And I got to say, for drinks that get made fun of for being sweet and girly and stuff like that,
it was two ounces of vodka plus an ounce of beach snops.
So you do kind of get lit up.
Oh, it's a little stiffy.
It's a little stiffy.
And it's good for the UT.
All right, we have a laundry list of things for meal and a throne at the end of this one.
Do we even remember them all?
We do.
It's Adam Driver and John Berenthal talking cocktails versus beers.
and then woo-woo,
Kenny Woo.
There we go.
Folks, we'll see you next week.
Bye.
So, cocktails and beers?
Beers.
