I just said.
Well, I can catch that part, apparently.
You weren't listening to me, Corey?
This is why we're not together anymore.
This is why we're in therapy.
And you don't take it seriously.
I don't.
John's are a couple's therapist.
And I don't think he's a licensed therapist.
No.
Who's to say?
You?
Yeah.
I mean, maybe.
You can say it right now?
I mean, we are.
I'm not going to.
We are paying you.
Well, that's fair enough.
Off we go.
All right.
Well, that's enough of that.
Hi, everybody.
Welcome to the show.
As you know, this is Spark Avengers.
I'm Corey, and this is Dylan and John.
And we talk about comic books, and we're very knowledgeable on comic books.
In fact, some would say that we know the most about comic books.
Some would say.
Yes.
All three of us say that.
Yes.
There we go.
So, as we are still in the midst of preparing for the finale of our Marvel versus DC tournament,
we thought sort of a nice sort of lead up to this is the last couple of years have been kind of very educational and informative for both Dylan and John,
because the two of them have always been more Marvel Comics guys, and I've always been the DC Comics guy,
and I find ways to get us to talk about it.
Either doing the DC Marvel tournament
or talking about various characters' villains' gallery
or the movies or what have you.
And I thought, after doing this show for over 100 episodes,
it might be time to see just how much you guys have really learned
about DC Comics.
We've done trivia in the past,
but we've always split it up between Marvel and DC.
Well, today, solely, solely.
DC Comics trivia.
I have 97 questions.
We're not going to go through all 97 of them.
I'll probably aim for,
well, let's start with, we'll say 30,
and we'll see how that goes.
So it's going to be 15 inch.
So what we'll do is we'll alternate questions.
We'll start with one person.
They'll go yes or no,
and then it'll go to the next person.
There'll be no steals, nothing.
We're just going to keep it as simple as possible.
That way the scoring doesn't get complicated.
I mean, you say that, but we'll find a way to fuck it up.
Maybe.
Yeah, yeah.
We have done trivia in the past.
It's been a little while.
The last time, I believe, John won.
Yep.
I don't have to rub it in.
Just saying I'm the champion, that's all.
Yeah, and so, John, because you're the defending champion,
and we're going to do this, borrow, this DC Comics trivia,
I'm going to ask you, do you want to go first, or would you rather let Dylan go first?
I will also tell you, before you answer that question, these questions are in a random order.
Some will be ridiculously easy, and some might trip you up.
So there is no strategy on who goes first aside from who gets the first question, essentially.
I mean, I'll go first, I think.
Okay.
So, Dillon, you will be answering the even questions.
John will be answering the odd questions.
if you some of these will be true and false some of these will be multiple choice like you said some of these will be ridiculously easy and some of these might be a little harder so we'll find out what is superman well it's very interesting that you say that dylan because john's very first question is john true or false superman originated from a planet called owa
false
Jimson Crypton.
That is correct.
Oh, are you sure?
Ah, fuck.
Dylan.
Your question.
Which three superheroes are considered part of DC's Holy Trinity?
Superman?
Okay.
Batman?
Okay.
Wonder Woo Man.
Correct.
John.
Three men.
Which of these characters is not a green lantern?
Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Kyle Rainer, Selina Kyle.
Selina Kyle.
Come on.
I told you.
Some of these are going to be really easy,
and some of these are going to be a little more challenging.
Which one of these guys isn't a real DC character?
Batman or Kiddler?
Dylan, you're a next question.
Please think it could be that question because I can answer that.
Dylan, which of these characters is the biological son
of Bruce Wayne.
Damien, Dick,
Jason,
Tim,
or none of the above.
I think none of them,
right?
Final answer?
That makes me feel like
it's not the final answer.
We've done episodes
about Robin,
I don't remember them.
Why would you put me
on the spot after question four?
Yeah,
fuck it,
your final answer.
Okay.
Incorrect.
Damian is the biological son
of Bruce Wayne.
No, I don't think he is.
Look at it.
John, what is Cyborg's real name and what was his occupation before his accident?
Victor Stone, national wrestler.
Victor Stone, football player, Victor Lewis, musician, Victor Marshall, scientist.
Victor Stone football player.
Correct.
Oh, yeah, three for three.
Dylan, who was the first Robin?
Jason Todd, Damien Wayne.
Tim Drake, Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon.
Dick Grayson.
Correct.
I'm getting all the Robin questions.
Well, everybody knows I love Robin and the Flash.
John, what emotion do the red lanterns represent?
Willpower, fear, rage, or death?
Or penis?
It's got to be rage, surely.
Correct.
Dylan.
The blackest night falls from the skies.
The darkness grows as all light dies.
We crave your hearts and your demise.
By my black hand, the dead shall rise.
What lantern core oath does this belong to?
The green lanterns, the blue lanterns, the violet lanterns, or the black lanterns?
The black lanterns?
Correct.
Wow.
Lucky me.
John, who does Barry Allen end up marrying?
Linda Park, Patty Spivitt, Iris West, Diana Prince.
He himself from the future.
I'm going to say, based on the TV show, Iris West.
Correct?
Yes.
Dylan, Star Labs stands for what?
scientific and technical adult research
superior tactics of adult reptiles
scientific and technological advanced research
super technology of advanced research
third one
correct
shut down
Jesus Christ
John true or false
calendar man is a hero
oh
I'm a bitch
Dylan
true or false
Wonder Woman was created from sand and given life by the gods.
Was she not made it out of clay?
Well, clay or sand.
It literally questions says clay slash sand.
Well, then yes.
Correct.
Okay.
Play and sound are different.
Origins, though, isn't it?
Clay and sound are different.
Origins, yes.
Because the origin changed and she's just straight up a half daughter of Zeus at this point.
John, DC Comics has rebooted its characters and their origins.
One of these reboots was called what?
The new 55, the new S reboot, comic reboot number one, new 52.
Oh.
New 52.
Dylan, Captain Marvel and Shazam are essentially the same person, true or false.
Correct.
That is correct.
John, what is Beast Boy's real name?
Garfield Logan, Steve Rogers, Michael Lawrence, Garfield Harris.
I think it's Garfield Logan.
A lot of Garfield's going on there.
Correct.
You should have made them all Garfield something.
Yeah.
Dylan.
What is Deadshot's real name?
Floyd Mayweather, Jason Newton, Damien Cruz, Floyd Lawton.
what was the ones that weren't the first one jason newton damien cruz floyd lawton i don't remember
so i'm gonna say this what was the second one jason newton that one
incorrect was it the third one it was floyd lawton the fourth one okay well i was going to
see that either the second and third one so that's fine i can take i can take i can
exact that. John, who are the original two halves of Firestorm? Martin Stein and Cisco Raymond,
Caitlin Snow and Ronnie Raymond, Ronnie Raymond, and Martin Stein were none of the above.
I believe it was Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stein. Correct. I feel like John's experience with
watching the CW shows is helping him out in a big way with his questions. Because there's a lot of
flashy. I think so, yeah. Yeah, well, I've seen
Um, Bob,
on Forever, so...
Well, that's great that you've seen Batman Forever
because what is the name of the street
where Martha and Thomas Wayne were murdered?
Park Avenue, Crime Alley,
Muddy Lane, Crime Street.
Oh, please, that'd be Crime Street.
What was the first one?
Park Avenue.
What was the second one?
Crime Alley.
What was the third one?
Muddy Lane.
and what was the fourth one?
Crime Street.
Crime Street.
It can't be one of the crimes, kind of?
But you wouldn't say crime twice
unless one of them was a correct answer.
The Garfield thing, you wouldn't be like,
oh, that'll be funny.
I'll just do Garfield twice.
Nobody's called Garfield.
They wouldn't call it Crime Alley
unless it was an alley where crime happened.
Crime Alley.
Crime Alley.
Correct.
Okay.
number we asked now? Well, this is going
to be question number 19.
So we're doing okay.
I feel John's got all his questions
right, hasn't he? John has gotten all of his questions
right so far.
Okay. You are down by two.
I think I've got them right.
I'm down by two. Okay, cool.
Are you also keeping score? I am.
Well, that's great. We're keeping us on.
I'm glad that we can all have a different
score for all of us.
Who is my head, like 50?
John, who are the creators of Batman?
Bob Williams, Bill Finger and Bob Kane, Bruce Hamill and Wayne Thomas, Martin King and Sarah Marshall.
It was the second one, like Bob Kane and is it Bill Finger?
Sarah Marshall.
Correct.
Why was Sarah Marshall in there?
It's hard to figure it.
I would remember.
Thank you, John.
I appreciate that laugh.
Dylan, exactly how many Earths are there?
I'm sorry.
Exactly.
How many Earths are there?
152, 10052, infinite.
I mean, Jesus.
I'm going to say.
So I told you, it matters, which it seemingly didn't matter what order you guys went in.
uh-huh this has happened before i believe
i'm just only of this works i'm just not letting you guys steal answers anymore
you're really like glad hunting our therapist here aren't you how about that
i just want to make sure he takes my side
mhm john you can see what kind of thing i have to experience with this guy so
yeah unfair is what i'm saying i mean
we were talking from a purely, like, realistic standpoint, obviously there's only one Earth
because we live on it, and it fucking sucks.
But technically, I feel that if we're talking about some sort of weird multiverse thing,
you would have to say there's an infinite number of Earths.
I'm going to say that.
Okay, infinite.
Correct.
Thank gosh.
John, the Justice Society of America was created during which war, World War I, World War I, World
Two, the Vietnam War, the Korean War.
Or World War III.
I believe it was World War II.
Correct.
Yes.
Dylan, in the television series Young Justice,
who are the four young heroes who wanted to join the Justice League?
Robin, Cyborg, Raven, and Satana,
Robin, Speedy, Aquilad, and Beast Boy,
Aquilad, Robin, Kid Flash, and Speedy,
or Robin, Aquilad, Kid Flash, and Starfire.
Who's Speedy?
Speedy is Green Arrow, Sidekick.
I'm going to say whatever the first one was.
The first one, so Robin, Cyborg, Raven, and Zatana.
Just because I like Satana.
I don't believe it's the correct answer, but I like Satana.
Incorrect.
It was Aquilad, Robin, Kid Flash, and Speedy.
So I knew that wasn't the correct answer and I got that correct.
So really, I think that's a point.
You didn't know the answer.
That's a point for Dylan, I think.
Yeah.
But also a realistic, real point.
John, how many speedsters are there?
45, 4.
Way too many to count, 52.
I'd say way too many to count.
correct
way too many to count
what
you can't
kind them
why there's so many
people who run fast
speed force is like
an HIV
is like HIV
it just spreads
Corey I don't think
that is an appropriate
thing to say
it's been long enough
I don't think
if you have sacks
with somebody
you can transmit
the speed force
Dylan you're
completely wrong
no Dylan
you are incorrect
because
fucking
the first flash
the one with the helmet
his wife is still alive
despite the fact that he
was in World War II
and it is stated
because her aging slowed down
due to proximity
of the speed force
I would take a point off
Devon for that
oh well why did you
suck my dick
and get access to the speed force
right
well if I had access
This is Pete Forrest.
Do you think I'll be sitting right here?
Dylan.
No, sir.
What did Bruce Wayne and Oliver Queen have in common?
I don't know.
A, they're both cousins.
B, they're both villains.
C, they're both born to millionaire families who lost their parents,
or D, none of the above.
I want to have to say C?
Correct.
Green Arrow lost his parents due to an attack by lions at a safari.
In Crime Alley.
In Crime Alley.
We're there a lines.
John, V for Vendetta is considered a DC Comics film.
True or false?
False.
I think it's Vertigo, isn't it?
Incorrect, because it's part of the publishing line.
It is considered a DC Comics film.
That is your first question.
What a load of bullshit.
Dog shit.
For the record, how many is John or?
I haven't done.
I'm with 12?
John, I have 12 points for.
And with you, I have no.
Yes.
Yes.
Okay, cool.
We're on the same page.
Dylan, the second Doctor Light is
A, male,
B, female, C, transgender,
D, and alien.
I don't know what the first Dr. Light is.
I would tell you,
but I'm afraid it might come up
in a future question.
I'm going to say female
because at first they were like
a meal, Dr. Light,
because doctors are all meal.
And then they were like, well, not all doctors are male.
Let's make this one a female, right, to change gender norms.
Dylan, you're correct.
I want.
Yep.
What's her name?
Kimiko, if I'm not mistaken.
She's a member of the Justice League International.
She's single?
Could be.
I mean, she's not real, so it doesn't matter.
Yep.
John, Liberty Bell is a descendant of the heroin Miss Liberty
true or false.
Rue?
One second.
My thing is
crashing on me.
You know the answer.
Oh man, the tension.
Yeah, hold on.
Can you believe this? Oh my gosh.
It's stronger to win?
Who knows? This could be the winner.
Uh-oh. It all comes down to Liberty Bell.
Yeah, Liberty Bell.
Everybody's favorite character.
What's going to happen?
This is not a, it's not for points or anything, but her
other name is
Jesse Quick.
Yes, she is
John.
I'm familiar with Jesse quick.
It is true. Yes.
John got that right?
15 points now, yes.
Okay.
Dylan, when not in Martian
form, John Jones is
undercover as a
A, doctor, B,
detective, C, lawyer,
D, policeman.
This sounds like the foreshadding
you were saying earlier, but is
he a doctor or not, so I'm going to say doctor.
I'm actually really sad, Dylan, because we just talked about it in our
hero's bracket. That is incorrect. John Jones is a
detective. He is the Martian Manhunter.
How I drunk was I?
It's hard to tell sometimes.
I drunk only nine. I think you're just sick.
Yeah.
What I mean?
It'll call me. You know?
John.
True or false?
Uncle Sam is a DC Comics hero.
Uncle Sam.
I'm going to say false?
Incorrect.
He is a, in fact,
hero who is powered by patriotism.
Oh, I think we should fire DC.
And this is going to be question number 31, by the way.
We've been going through these rather quick.
We actually could do all 97 at this point, I think.
Why not?
Why not?
Dylan, who is Rip Hunter?
A, a speedster grim reaper.
B, a hero turned villain due to an accident.
C, a time traveler, or D, an all-knowing magician.
Rip Hunter sounds familiar.
I don't think he's a speedster.
Rip Hunter?
What was the second one?
A hero turned villain due to an accident.
I must say that one.
Incorrect.
He is a time traveler.
Whatever.
John,
Harley Quinn was first introduced in the comics, true or false?
False.
Oh, son of a bitch.
It's bullshit.
Dylan.
Oh, John, Batman is a man.
True or false.
Dylan, Circe is well known from what non-comic story, A, the Iliad, B, the Ballad of Harpies,
C, the Odyssey, D, the Legends of Homer.
Is there going to be your Greek mythology test?
Just hear what I just said to you.
You're fucking kidding me.
I told you.
Some of these are going to be really weird and hard.
Yeah, I know.
I've got them.
Do the bits again.
Do the things again.
A, the Iliad.
B, the Ballad of Harpies.
C, the Odyssey.
the Legends of Homer.
I don't know what the fuck.
Make a guess.
The Odyssey.
Correct.
Yeah.
What?
Yeah.
Yeah, I know.
I read it.
John, true or false? Marvel Comics
originated from DC Comics.
What?
False?
Correct.
Okay, so there's a quick point
I told you
it makes
there in no particular order
Oh, really?
Our point
I feel like it might be in one particular order
Here's our points update
Right now I have Dylan with 11 points
And I have John with 15
Okay
Yep
Okay
Dylan
Mm-hmm
Lila Michaels
was an orphan who shipwrecked on themuskira to her false.
Sure.
It is so, it is, I will say, the order is incredibly fucking mean in the sense of like, John literally got, hey, their biggest rival came from originally versus this character that you've probably never heard of.
Did you end up on themuskira?
Dylan, that's true, by the way.
So correct.
Okay.
Congratulations to me.
Happy birthday.
John, there are three flags.
in the DC universe who got married.
Who are their wives?
In order from first to third.
Finally.
A. Iris, Linda,
Joan. B.
Linda Joan Iris.
C. Joan Linda Iris.
D.
Joan Iris Linda.
Or E. Joan Patty Iris.
So you have to know who was married to the first flash.
and then his wife
and the second Flash's wife
and then the third Flash's wife.
Like he said.
So I may need these orders again,
but I think it's going to be Joan Iris
and then someone else.
Okay. So we have
Iris Linda Joan.
Linda, Joan Iris.
Joan Linda Iris.
Joan Iris Linda.
Linda.
John Patty Iris.
Who the fuck is Patty?
I'm going to say,
Joan Iris
Linda
Correct
Yes
Dylan
Who was the third person to be Batgirl
A Barbara Gordon
B Stephanie Brown
C Cassandra Kane
D Penelope James
We talked about this isn't me
We have talked about Batgirls but not at a super great length
Barbara Gordon I think was the first one
Okay.
And the third one you mentioned, I recognized her name.
Who was the second one?
I can't tell you that without giving you the answer, essentially.
No, I mean, say the name of the woman.
Oh, are you saying the options?
Okay, I thought you were just asking me straight out who was the second back girl?
I'm like, I can't tell you that.
No, I'm the second first you just said.
All right, your options are A, Barbara Gordon, B, Stephanie Brown, C, Cassandra Kane, D, Penelope, James.
Yes.
I remember one and three.
I'm going to say three.
So C. Cassandra Kane is your answer.
Yes.
Correct. Cassandra Kane was the third backgirl.
The second back girl was Helena Bertinelli, which a lot of people don't count.
But if you read No Man's Land, it counts.
John, in what year was the Justice Society America founded?
A. 1940, B, 1954, C, 1904, D, 1987.
Well, I mean, we already had a question where it was established they were formed in World War II, so there you go, 1940.
You put these questions together!
I didn't put these questions together.
You knew that one of those ones and this one would align with whoever did, the even numbers...
I really didn't...
There's 97 questions, Dylan.
Speaking of questions, though, Dylan,
Clark Kent has a foster child, true or false.
True.
Correct.
Boy, it's true. Why wouldn't it be true?
John, which Black Canary fell in love and married Green Arrow?
A.
Dina Sarah Lance.
B. Dina Laurel Lance.
C. Dina Drake Lance.
D. Dina Caitlin Lance.
grief
isn't it
Dinah Laurelance
Correct
Again I think you're watching
CW shows is paid off
Yeah
Dylan
Hawk and Dove are twins who represent what
A love and hate
B, Yin and Yang
C, day and night
D peace and war
Hawk
and Dove
I didn't think they were
twins. I thought they were like
married to each other. That's the
second Hawk and Dove. The first Hawk and Dove
were brothers.
Listen man, there's no law in America that
says two twins can't get married to each other.
They're in like Tennessee, whatever.
Don't worry about it.
Dove is representative
peace.
Hawk isn't really representative
war, is it? Although
Hawk would be a good, angry, like...
Yeah, let's see that one.
Peace and war.
Peace and war.
Yeah.
That's correct.
Fuck them.
Oh, dang.
All right, so points update.
John, I have you with 18, and Dylan, I have you with 15.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Yep.
All right.
John, the elongated man is really good friends with what hero?
A, Batman.
B.
the Flash Wally West
C, the Flash, Barry Allen, D, Black Canary
C. E, the Flash, Tingley Dingleton.
It's gotta be one of the flashes.
Uh...
The Dingleton.
I will say
Wally West.
Incorrect, it is Barry Allen.
Motherfucker.
Dylan.
Hate to see it.
there are a total of five different cheetahs
and they're all an enemy of Wonder Woman, true or false?
We just did this like a couple weeks ago.
Yes? True. Yes. No!
Yes! Incorrect.
What? What? You just said it was incorrect!
No, it's true. I was just fucking with you on that one.
I was like, did he get cheetahs mixed up with egg food? Because that happens sometimes.
John, how many lantern core
are there. A1
B, 2, C
9, D7.
I mean
green, obviously,
and then yellow, and then
red, and then black.
I'm guessing there's a blue.
I think there's a purple.
I'll go
7.
Incorrect, there are 9.
That's a tough one.
That is a difficult.
That sucks.
Yeah. Dylan.
What were the other ones?
The other ones.
Okay, so you have red, orange, yellow, blue, green, black, white, violet, and...
Oh, pink, the star sapphires.
Because they're called the star sapphires.
They're not called the pink lantern core.
You got to get pink.
What I like about that was, they had the seven colors, the rainbow, and they're like, nope.
Got to add black and white.
Not going to do that.
All right, Dylan.
Who created Wonder Woman?
A. H.G. Peter.
B. William Moulton and H.G. Peter.
C. Susan Peters.
D. Brittany Sanders and Tia Marshall.
Okay, we've probably talked about this in the Wonder episode.
I don't fucking know.
I was listening.
I don't listen to anything.
I didn't be doing the show.
Is your chance to catch up?
John's this two in a row.
The second one?
Correct.
You bastard.
Dylan, you're catching up.
John, who is the half-brother of Merlin who was unleashed to battle Morgan Lafay?
A. Arthur. B. Etragon. C. Nolan. D. Hurrid.
Uh, I'll go Etrigan.
Correct. Dylan, in what year was DC Comics created?
A. 1927. B. 1904. C. 1934. D. 19555.
I'm going to say 90.
Okay, good so far.
It's 34th.
Correct.
Oh, damn.
Jesus Christ.
Good job.
John.
John, what is Lex Leather's middle name?
A. Jonathan, B. Joseph.
C. Jacob D. Jesse
Ugh.
None of the ones I was
expecting. Could you say
him again? E. Corey.
F. D. D. D.
Great. Coalye.
A. Jonathan. B. Joseph. C. Jacob. D. Jesse.
Oh, man. I will go
either I'd say A or B.
I'd go
Joseph?
Correct.
Very nice.
Dylan, how many Captain Boomerangs are there, and what are their names?
A, 1, George Cain,
B, 2, George Kane and Bill Martin,
C, 2, George Harkness and Owen Mercer,
or D3, Ralph James, Owen Mercer, and Steve Trevor.
This one kills me. I love Captain Boomerang.
Right. Now, here's the thing.
I was going to say, two, because I felt like it was like a kangaroo situation in Marvel comics.
We're like, one guy is an idiot, but the second guy is even dumber.
And then after the second guy, we're done without, we don't need to make any more kangaroos.
But I feel like because you love kept murmuring so much, he's a recurring character.
So you might have come back more than twice in terms of characters.
So at the moment, I'm thinking either number two or number four.
Because I think that you said the first guy, and then you repeated his name again a second time.
And I don't know if that's a very clever beaten switch or if it's because one of those names is correct.
So because of that, I'm going to say this, right?
Because of that, I'm going to say for the second option,
but I also think, in my heart, it's the fourth option.
Okay.
So you're going with option two.
That is incorrect.
There have been two Captain Boomerangs, and their names are George Harkness and Owen Mercer.
Gosh, darn it.
John.
Maxwell Lord was killed by who?
A Wonder Woman, B, Batman, C, Lobo, D. Joker,
E, none of the above.
I would say Wonder Woman.
Correct.

Well, I kind of got it right.
Kind of.
In a weird sense, you did successfully narrow it down to two options.
Thought about it.
You thought about it.
So, John.
I did.
Thought about it a lot.
John, there are two green arrows.
Who was the second one?
A, Oliver Queen, B, Roy Harper.

So in blank day, in blank night,
no evil shall escape my sight.
Let those who worship evil's might,
blank my power, green lantern's light.
Oh, I think I gave up.
You're just going to toss me.
I'm going to say, yeah, I'm going to say they're all blank.
That's the actual word in it.
So it is, in brightest day and darkest night,
no evil shall escape my light.
Let those who worship evils might,
beware my power,
Green Lantern's light.
That's not a great question.
I don't like it.
Dylan.
I'm a John-side-law.
I don't like that one at all.
Dylan.

Yeah, you know, they're recurring.
A, the United States, B, England, C, Spain, D, Germany.
Okay, the answer I thought it was going to be was not one of those.

I will go nine, I think.
Incorrect, it is 12.
Oh, damn it.
Dylan.
I just also say, I don't like that question either.

So, Dylan, what is true about Jennifer Lynn Hayden?
A, she's a hearing named Jade.
B, she dated Kyle Rainer
C, she's a star sapphire

or E both A and B

Yes, so D is A...
So A is...
Yes, so...
Yes, well, you could look at it that way
if you want to say that,
or it could just be a complete throwaway.
So D is A and C, which is she's a hero named Jade and she's a Star Sapphire.
And E is A and B, which is she's a hero named Jade and she dated Kyle Rainer.
I don't think you put E in that often.
He doesn't come up that often.
It's come up for two times.
Either D or C, it's not that often.
Like, whoever moat this quiz should come up with a uniform way to do it.
A to D. E.
Stop ticking around with us, man.
This hurts.
I don't like it.
Find out who wrote, what website was this?
This fucking...
ProPo.
What was the website?
Pro props.

The list has been neglected.
They're on the list.
We've not updated this in a while.
It's either A to E or it's A to D.
Don't start fucking us around.
We don't have time for this.
A?
Correct.
Ah, damn it.
Good John, did you know that?
All right, real quick.
No.

Yes.

which green lantern destroyed the planet Zanxi?
A. Kyle Rayner.
B. John Stewart.
C. Hal Jordan.
D. Guy Gardner.
Okay.
So I imagine when they did this,
this is when they were parallax.
I can't remember if that was Kyle or if it was Hal.
and I'm really annoyed about this
because it's definitely
it's one of those right
I'm 100% certain
because if they
if they destroyed a planet
it was because it was parallax right
by the way if I'm wrong about this
how stupid do I look
but I'm pretty confident
but I can't remember
which one of them was Green Lantern
and I also don't remember
which one of them was the first Green Lantern
and I'm sure we've talked about that
ad nauseum all over the shop
I feel like howl Jordan
was the first one,
the Kyle Reiner was one in the 90s.
So I'm going to say
Kyle Rinner.
Incorrect. It was John
Stewart. And it was not related
to Parallax. He's not the dealy show.

What is the point of asking
Who's greatest enemy is
If they were all Superman?
I think he's to fuck with you
I thought it was later than 91
It's in the 90s
So it must be 91
Except it was the only 90s option wasn't it?
That's correct
It was 1991
I thought it was 94
No 91
I'm thinking I'm thinking of a clone saga

You can all get speed power by just like
gene therapy and doing drugs.
Yeah.
It doesn't matter what drugs you do,
just as long as you have the gene therapy with it.

What the fuck?
Gotta get that gene therapy.
My.

So we're getting close.
Okay.
Okay.
Dylan, the Guardians divided up the universe into how many sectors for the green lanterns to protect?

Wait.

D as in David?
Or B as a boy?
D is my name.
Incorrect.
It is 3,600, so it was C.
Was that the hint?
Were you trying to hit me?
I don't think so.
I just couldn't make it out.
All right, we'll do a quick points, Callie, here,
because we're at about 10 questions left.
John, I show you, you have 29 points.
Dylan, I show me you have 26 points.
It's very close still.
not really
the way I'm playing
not really
you can catch up
there's potential
John how old
10 points come on man
you're not down 10 points
I'm not going to win 10 points
John
how old is the Justice League of America
A 64
B 29
C 35
D56
E 42
The Justice League of America
yes
The one...
Hang on.
I may need these options again.
Okay.
Also, this sounds like a bullshit question,
because, like, when was this question written?
I mean, go with an approximation of, like,
now to what's the closest option.
So you have A-64, B-29, C-35, D-56, E-42.
I'll say 64.
Incorrected is 56.
God damn it.
Dylan.
Who is Miss America in the comics?
A. Nina Davuluri.
B. Joan Dale.
C. Sue Allen Baker.
D. Allison Blair.
C.
Incorrect is Joan Dale.
How the fuck would I ever know that?

Correct.
Do I get a point for that?
Do I get a point for that?
John, Max Mercury has a base located where?

I mean, say Salt Lake City.
It is Manchester, Alabama.
Dylan, how many DC characters have the moniker doctor in their name?
Oh, my God.

John, the hangmen are a villain team based where?
A, Los Angeles, California.
B, Washington, D.C.
C. Houston, Texas.
D. New York, New York.
E. None of the above.
It's got a bit of a southern vibe dirt, so I say Houston, Texas.
Incorrect.
It is New York, New York.
What the fuck?
Boy, this last part of this quiz, we have not been super hot.
It gets tougher. It gets tougher.
Dylan, who is Darkside secretly married to?
It's secret.
I can't tell you that.
A. Suli.
B. Eira.
C. Mata.
D. Apollymi.
The last one?
It is incorrect.
It is sully.
Okay.
Sure.
Sure it is.
Yeah, yeah.
Whatever.
Corey's cutting stuff up, so I feel like that's the end of the quiz.
Nope.
John, how many people have taken up the mantle of Clayface?
A, 2, B, 4, C8, D12?
I would say 4.
Incorrected is 8.
God damn.
Eight people of being Clayface?
What?
Dillon.
Madam Rouge was killed by which member of the Teen Titans?
A. Robin. B. Starfire. C. Raven. D. Beast Boy. E. No one. She died in an explosion.
I hope it's E.
Incorrect. It is Beast Boy.
That's not what I was going to guess either, so that's fair enough.
John. The Creature Commandos are a superhero team with how many members? A5, B7, C9,
D4
I guess
I'll say
7
incorrect is 9
that is the final
question
so
so it was an odd number
there were 97 questions
it was an odd
So John has more questions than I did
Yeah but I
It didn't make any
different
But also, yes, correct.
The point is I was so bad at this that technically didn't matter.
It meant that he would have gotten more questions than I did.
I think Dylan does deserve one more question.
If you can find something to get him.
Oh, absolutely.
It's Bobin's real name.
Well, I was going to say, Dylan,
Connor Kent, aka Superboy, is a clone of Superman and who?
You got to give him options.
Okay
A general
Azad
B Bruce Wayne
C
Lex Luther
D the parasite
E
I don't know
A
Incorrect it is Lix Luthor
Who cares
Whatever
John always would
Well so that does bring up
Our final point tally
So John
You finish up this game
With 29 points
And Dylan
You finish up this game
26 points.
Not bad.
Three point differential.
Yeah.
How do you feel like you did as people who are admittedly not DC Comics people?
Really bad.
I mean, I think there was a lot of bullshit questions in that, to be honest.
Correct.
Like how many people were named captain?
Yeah.
Yeah.
What was the other one?
Mr. or Mr. or doctor.
That's bullshit.
What the fuck?
it's total bullshit
yeah
no time for that
we're busy podcast
you don't need that
yeah
we're not counting up the number of doctors
in the DC universe
that fuck man
next time come up with these questions yourself
okay I'll do I will
rely on deadly do website or whatever
you can open them yourself
okay
in the future I will make up my own trivia
thank you
So, that being said, it's going to wrap us up.
Next episode, by the way, I believe we will be doing our final of the DC Marvel bracket.
So it's going to be, we're going to have three matches to figure out.
The first match is going to pit the Scarlet Witch against Apocalypse.
The second match is going to pit John Constantine against the parallax.
And then the final will be whoever is the winner between those two.
Yep.
So I'm looking forward to that when I have something I want to kind of cook up for it to kind of make it a little special.
And, yeah, I think that's going to be a good time.
So, speaking of good times, John, you like to spend your time watching movies.
How many movies have you watched so far in the year 2026?
So far, I have watched 150 movies.
That's not bad, considering it's still early days February at the time of recording.
What was the most recent movie that you watched?
I watched Sin City a damed kill for.
Oh, my apologies.
Well, how did that group?
It wasn't great.
Like, I mean, like the visual style is, you know, still pretty unique,
but it's sort of diminishing returns.
But the stories in it are just not very good compared to the first one.
The only good thing is it's got lots of Eva Green in it,
but, you know, that can't make up for a shitty movie.
Well, sometimes it can.
Sometimes it can.
What did you rate it?
I only gave that one and a half stars out of five.
I feel like that's jealous.
Yeah.
That was one of those movies I remember when I heard it was coming out.
I was surprised it existed.
So, John, if they want to see more of your thoughts on Send City a Dame to Kill for, where can they go to read that?
They can head to Letterbox and find me at a big John Bowsky or Mwood.
Additionally, there is a link to that in the description of this video.
if you're on YouTube or in the description of the file
or you're listening to on whatever podcast you're listening.
Podcast service you're listening to.
It's there as well.
Dylan, what have you been getting up to during the week?
Well, on Monday nights, I do a radio show.
It's available online.
Check it out at 9 o'clock to 11 o'clock UK time.
I play a lot of music that I like and talk sometimes in between that.

also for my end of the world I have a I have another podcast that I do called Large Old Cup
it is a spoken word podcast that involves storytelling and stuff it's sort of straight off the dome
with very little prep in the way done for it so that's a good time and additionally I have
started sort of a series for our YouTube channel along with the episodes of this show called
new number ones where I go into the comic book store and I grab a new issue one usually from
an independent or a smaller publisher to give it a chance and give them a little bit of love and
support. And I let you know whether or not it's a series I personally would want to continue
reading after only the first issue to lure me in. So you can find the link to our Joel Cup in the
description and you can find episodes of new number one here on our YouTube channel.
