For months Corey, Dylan, and Jon have been working their way down the Avengers roster in an attempt to build the ultimate Avengers line-up through a series of auctions as sorted by the spins of a wheel. Now, with 41 names left, the Avengers Wheel of Redemption is finally ready to be spun! The lads are bringing in all of the money they have left over from their previous Avengers Auctions which leaves Jon at a distinct disadvantage. Can he come back from this 100 dollar deficit? Name is Corey. With me is Dylan and the returning John. John was living in America for a hot minute there. How'd it go? I mean, I had a few drinks. I saw a few sites. Can't complain.

There you go. No, Klein. Not a single clown. You watched a lot of soccer, though, I imagine. Yes, we did. We only went to two games in person, but we still managed to squeeze in. Most of the rest of them on TV. in various bars.

There you go. John is back from America. John is also a bit jet lagged. So we thought we'd make things pretty easy and maybe not require a whole bunch of critical thinking skills. And a couple, about a week or so ago, I had the free time to make the Wheel of Redemption because we wrapped up all of our regular Avenger auctions.

Now we just have the big one. Yeah. So I will tell you guys right now, there are 41 names on this. on this wheel. It's the biggest wheel we've had to date. Okay. So I want to get a ground rule, I guess, or I got to get the order of operations figured out before we start.

So traditionally, we've had about 25 names on the list, and we spin it 20 times, leaving five behind. So are we going to spin this wheel 41 times, or do you want to cap this off and make it a little more random and not guarantee that all the big names are going to get paid? I think I'd be pretty disappointed if, say, you know, Spider-Man doesn't get picked at all or journal of this. Well, okay, what of the caveat is, if Spider-Man does get picked, we're like, well,

once we hit 20 and Spider-Man's off the board, fuck it. Is that the rule? Right, because I have a feeling Spider-Man's the one we all want. I mean, Ireland's on there, Hulk's on there, there's a lot of big names. I don't want I don't know I'm happy to go and do the whole lot but it depends how long we all want to stay up

and do this for yeah it's 41 spins or 40 spins because why would we spin it if there's only one name on there we spin it anyway just again you never know

yeah like I said I don't mind either way it depends how everybody else feels I'm happy to I you know if you want to cap it at like whatever so like Like, say we capitol at like 25 or 30.

Yeah. The cap. Spider-Man hasn't been picked. Keep going. Until, like, and we keep going until Spider-Man gets picked. And then... Spider-Man's a sudden death. Okay.

Yeah, Spider-Man has like that. We got to keep going until we get Spider-Man. Okay. Watch him come out as number one now. Yeah, then we don't have to worry about it. A capitol number two, then. You can say we can say we cap it at like, what, 30 or 35 or something like that? I would say 30, 35.

Yeah. You got 30? is there's because 10 more than normal if established there are some real happy hitters in this but also even though last episode we did a really good job of dragging the Nats along the bottom of the ocean

rolling with because I imagine this will be, this is our last Avengers auction, so this is like spend your money or it's gone forever kind of deal. Yes. So if my maths is correct, I believe Dylan has the most money left to spend with 231 pounds. Corey, you're not far behind with 226 pounds left to spend. And I have, 134 pounds. That's rough. That's a whole $100 difference between you and Dylan. Yeah. I don't think

I'm going to be getting anyone I want in this auction. You might, if you don't want Spider-Man. Dylan might just drop 100 on Spider-Man just to start it. Yeah. Who knows? Who knows? I hope he does. I wouldn't be that kind of guy, would I?

Mm-hmm. Who would do that? All right, that being said, let's go ahead and jump over to this wheel. Same rules as always. We spin the wheel. Whatever it lands on, we start the bidding, and we just kind of go from there. We're going to 30, maybe more if Spider-Man's not picked. All right.

So, as you can see, we have 41 names on this damn thing. And the slices are very thin, meaning that, you know, it could really go any direction, honestly. So Dylan, how many times would you like to, you know, randomize the order? 41 times. I would prefer not to do that because every how laggy it's been on my end. Five times. I could probably do five. Well, let's see how that works.

the Incredible Hulk that's a big name right up the game uh oh so the Hulk joined the Avengers and Avengers number one in September of 1963 uh we all know the Hulk's deal no real reason to jump into that whole business but yeah gamma radiation

angry he gets stronger he gets and then a whole bunch of weird stuff and whatever the hell's going on in infernal Hulk uh that being said we're starting the bidding at one pound for the Hulk? I'm going to go five. Oh, come on.

For the Hulk? Yeah, but this, I can see where this is going already. You think five is unreasonable for the Hulk? I think I'm getting outbid on everything. Well, I also, you know, Dylan gets real conservative once it gets into the double digits, just so you know. Yeah, but he's got 231 pounds to spend. I mean...

You don't see my money for something particular. And we know, having me negotiated it, that he's definitely coming up. Okay. You'll get the Hulk. I'll go six for Hulk. Okay. I'll go seven. Well, I should do eight.

Is it going to make a noise? No, I guess not. This is Ghost. There it is. But we have Ghost Rider Robbie Reyes. This version of the Ghost Rider joined the Avengers

in when did he join? Who cares? No, it has to fit the gimmick. This was the problem that I knew I was going to get into when we had so many names on the list.

I was like, I'm going to lose. track of some of these people real quick. I'm going to guess 2014. 2014 is your bad, okay. Fair, guys. When did this character debut? He was in the Agents of Shield, so...

It was 70, 2010s. Yeah. He struck the rocket to him real quick. Mm-hmm. Yeah, okay. He joined... So your guess was 2014? Yeah.

Robbie Reyes joined the Avengers in Avengers Volume 8 issue number six in July. live 2018. So off by four years. But not bad. This is the only ghost writer that's ever been an Avenger, by the way. Oh, okay. So he is the only ghost writer that has ever been an Avenger.

He has a Mustang. And yep. And they've kind of, they've kind of stopped using him as much as they were for a while. And I've gone back to using Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch and the guy who's vengeance. The other one. the other one.

Miguel or something? Anyway, not sure how you guys are in your 90s ghostwriter knowledge, but there you go. So let's start the bidding at one pound for Ghost Rider. Of course, you know, he is possessed by a demon. So he's got the pennant stare. He's proficient hand-to-hand combatant, highly experienced driver, severe conditioning, enhanced senses, fury empowerment. He's an immunity to fire.

He, of course, has a demonic transformation. regeneration, immortality, pyrochinesis, he's a medium, he can teleport, and create portals. He has the

enchanted Dodge Charger and the Hellfire chain as items. He's immune to magic. He can manipulate his size, his soul. He could duplicate himself. He can manipulate sin.

He can manipulate hellfire. He can manipulate demonic magic. He has knowledge of the occult, supernatural awareness, and vulnerability, and can resurrect himself. The various powers of Robbie Reyes.

Sounds like a lot. It is a lot. So let's start off at one pound for Robbie Reyes. I feel like one pound's a good good star out. I'll do one pine. I'll go two. I'll go two.

He is telekinetic, and he could fly. That is his deal. We'll start the bidding at one pound for Justice. And I'll take one pound on him. you might have them

all right up next our third spin hey the drum's back he's a different I already have Captain Britain we have Captain Britain but not the one that you guys are familiar with. This is Kelsey

Shore Lee, who debuted for the Avengers in Avengers Volume 3, issue number 81 in April of 2004. She has superhuman physical attributes, flight, the sword of might, which grants her force field generation and energy bolts. She is also referred to

as Lionheart at times. So as two members of the United Kingdom, I'm sure you feel a level of patriotism, looking at this version of Captain Britain. She's only called a lot of She's in Japan. All right.

Of course, he has the ability to, manipulate electricity. He could fly at sublight speeds and is a skilled street fighter. So let's start the bidding at one pound for living lightning. One pound for Corey, it sounds like.

Yep. All right, then. We'll go ahead and remove a living lightning from the board. I think I have the most people on my team and I've spent the least amount of money. You're really going to pick up the stragglers. You're like, you're,

You, it's like you go into like a charity shock. Yeah, I just get the potter. Yeah, whatever you got. Put in my basket, man. All right. Here's spin number six. You once again lost sound. But hey, we talked about it earlier.

This is our opportunity. It's Mr. Fantastic. Okay. So Mr. Fantastic joined the Avengers officially in Avengers issue number 300 in February of 1989. the same issue that Invisible Woman joined the team and Gilgamesh. So, of course, we know Mr. Fantastic's ability, he's probably the smartest man in the MCU.

He has the ability to manipulate his body in very gross ways. And yeah, there you go. Let's start the bidding at one pound for Mr. Fantastic. I'll go one. I'll take two. I'll go three. I am going to go five. I will go seven.

I will go eight. I'll go nine. Oh, we're getting closer to double digits here. He's so he's smart, though, when he can stretch and stuff, so that could be useful. Do I have a stretchy guy on my team already? I don't think any of us do.

You have two, you have two, storm, right? Yes. So it makes sense to keep them together, wouldn't it? Oh, that was my thinking. Yeah, you know what? I like that plan. I think that's fair.

Well, were you at nine? Yes. Yes. I'm happy with that. Cool. I'll take him for nine then. All right, John, you're on the board. So Mr. Fantastic is officially off the board. The Fantastic War has been drafted its entirety.

John is one person, and I would argue that his one person is Of higher stature than all three of course people combined. That seems likely. Yeah. All right. So our seventh spin is up next. The wheel really does not like having 41 options, is what I've learned.

Especially when these are some of the options. Photon. Ori, just let you know you're obliged to get another member of your team. Hey, you never know that for sure. So Photon joined the Avengers. in Avengers number 231 in May of 1983. Of course, she is a former Captain Marvel. She was also called Spectrum for a bit.

This is Monica Rambo. Monica has the ability to convert into any form of energy within the electromagnetic spectrum and travel and energy form through the vacuum of space. She can absorb energy, generate energy, and manipulate energy. She has ability to fly at the speed of light. She can alter her size. She can make herself intangible.

And, of course, she can fly. That being said, let's start the bidding at one pound for photon. I'll go one pound. I'll go two. She's a former Captain Marvel. Got to show her some respect. Yeah, you can have her. That sounds like all the respect she's going to get.

Oh, he meets double your usual price. Yeah. All right. So spin number eight. Oh, boy, the hits just keep on coming for old. Hey, it's Starbrand. Kevin. Kevin.

It's the Kevin Starbrand. Kevin. Kevin. So this version of Starbrand joined the Avengers in Hickman's run, officially joining in Avengers Volume 5, number 17, in August of 2013. As Starbrand, he has the ability to do stuff with light and energy. And what I learned is all of this is that. the, all of the star brands end up killing themselves.

So the star brand power does not seem to be very, uh, stable. Cool. So we'll go ahead and just start the bidding of one pound for Starbrand and I'll take that. Yeah, far away. All right. There you go. There you go. Star brand is off the board.

Spin number nine though coming up. You really sold it with your selling everybody that they usually kill themselves. They usually kill themselves. Oh, all right, well, hey, you can't have one without the other. That sounds about right. So this is Night Mask, aka Adam Blackvale. He joined in the same issue of Star Brand in Avengers Line 5, issue number 17, August 2013. His powers involve like darkness and night.

and I don't want to go too much further into it because I know I'm only getting him for one pound. So let's go ahead and do one pound for Corey. And it sounds like no one's contesting that. I will point out something very interesting. In that issue number 17 of Hickman's Avengers, I have drafted all of four people who join the Avengers. So it was Star Brand, Nightmask, Ex-Naheloh, and Abyss.

Well, congratulations. I have completed... I'll be for four pounds as well. Yeah, for four pounds. Completed the sweep. Mm-hmm. All right, this is our 10th spin. We'll go ahead and do a quick recap after this.

Well, that felt appropriate. Hey, okay. All right, well, our 10th spin of the wheel gets us an Iron Man, aka Tony Stark, who had joined the Avengers and Avengers number one in September of 1963. super genius, super great inventor, all around cool guy, extraordinary.

It's Iron Man. I will start the bidding at one pound. I'll take that. I go three pound. Oh, big spencer. I mean, for Iron Man, I'd go five pines. I'll go seven. Oh.

Go nine. Would you guys put a city before your bed, per chance? I'm going to go with 11 before we start getting in the cities, though. Well, it was the Cincinnati 13, wasn't it? Yeah. Well, I'm going to go without Cincinnati 13. Yeah.

I will go for a Sacramento 15. I think it was Sacramento 15, wasn't it? Well, that's still a moment. We definitely did Sacramento before, and I don't know why the one keeps coming up. What is the capital of California? Is it? It is. It's not Los Angeles.

Not Los Angeles, not San Francisco, not even Oakland. It's Sacramento. What the fuck? Yep. so then we were like well we need a guy that can fly we need a guy that's really smart We need a big bruiser. You need whatever. I think by this point, we have like a billion people that can fly through space. I think most of them are on my team as well. Justice flight through space. I know you can fly. I don't know if you can fly through space.

I know I think later on he becomes a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, like the original lineup. Okay. Anyway, though, we have our bidding starting at one pound for Wendell Vaughn, aka Quasar, which I will take. Yeah, you got him. All right, fair enough. Yep. Congratulations, Corey. Thank you.

All right, here is spin number 12. It's Quasar again. She's so nice. She's on here twice. It's the Wasp, but it's not Janet Van Dine. This is Nadia Pym, if I believe, is her name. Nadia Van Dine, birth surname originally Pym. So, yes, she can fly via Bios.

synthetic wings, shoot bioelectric energy blast, meteor's size, she's an expert gymnast and acrobat, expert martial artist, and genius level intellect. She is the daughter of Hank and Maria Pemm, who was Hank Pem's first wife who was assassinated. So there you go. She's, you know, she also inherited her father's mental illness and is bipolar. Cool.

Yeah. So she joined the Avengers in Avengers Volume 7, issue number one in November of 2016. So definitely one of the newer characters within the last 10 years. That being said, let's start the bidding at one pound for Nadia Van Dine. I'm going to take a one.

Oh, well, I'll take over two. Oh, okay. Two once. Oh, perfect. Twice. All right, sold to Dillon for two. My plan was to get at least one wasp on the cheap. And that was exactly what I got.

It worked out pretty well for you. All right, here's spin number 13 Lucky 13 That's right on the line But it is Prince Namor Namor the Submariner When did he officially join the Avengers I feel like he was definitely someone

A little more recent than not But I could be wrong I appear to have been wrong Let's see We're still going backwards Namor the same mariner A.k.k.a. Namor McKenzie join the Avengers in Avengers number 262 in December of 1985.

He is the king of Atlantis. He can breathe underwater. He can swim really, really fast. He has human strength, speed, durability, agility, senses, and reflexes. He has a level of marine life, empathy, telepathy, and control. He is resistant to extreme temperatures. He can fly thanks to the wings on his ankles. He has extended longevity, meaning that he can live longer than most people.

And it looks like he has the ability to command water and locate things to echo location. So let's start the bidding for Prince Namor or the Submariner at one pound. I'll take one. I'll go two. I'll go three. Well, I'm going to go five.

Oh, geez. I'll go six. I'll go seven. I'm going to go eight. I'll go nine. Corey's coffee. It's like in an auction whenever you like, you rub your nose. Oh.

she probably was a 90s character, I want to say, yep. Angelica Jones joined the Avengers and Avengers Volume 3, issue number 7 in August of 1998. She has been an ex-man, she's been an Avenger. She's technically a mutant. with the ability to nuclear fission manipulation. That sounds intense.

But yes, basically microwave energy, generation, electromagnetic signature detection, psionic disruption, heat emission, and flight. So we'll start the bidding at one pound for Firestar. How much room do you have in your Avengers Tower? I mean, I don't have a event, I don't have an infinity city or whatever it was called.

Yeah, I have plenty room, but I'm worried about you and all of the horrible people you have to find room for. No, they're all getting killed off in the first love, like first mission. This is like suicide squad level going on right now. I feel like fire star is better

than some of those guys. She was one of Spider-Man's amazing friends. Exactly. You should bid on her then, Dylan. Well, I already have Sunspot and Sunfire. I have firebird and two human torches. Well, then somebody else had bit on her. Okay, I'll bid one pound then.

complicated to read on this one I feel so she was an inhuman then she's a a mutant. She might still be an inhuman, but predominantly associating herself with the X characters these days. Kamala Khan joined the

Avengers. I feel like she was a recent add-on to. 1978. What is that? 2018. Oh, well. Mm-hmm. 2015.

So Kamala Khan joined an all-new, all-different Avengers number one in November of 2015. she was on the same team that added Spider-Man, Miles Morales, and Jane Foster's Thor. So yes, she has had a couple of different powers. So she has morphogenetics, basically meaning that she can be stretchy,

surrehuman elasticity, plasticity, and malability, appearance and size alteration. She has a regenerative healing factor. She's bioluminescence, shape-shifting, heart light generation, and portal creation, time and dimensional travel. She's very busy.

They give her a lot of stuff to keep her on the front lines. He is. Are you betting? Well, yeah, I'd be ready to start the bidding of one pound. I'll take a pine. I'll go two. Is Corey not interested?

Every time I went to fly to Georgia, which was quite frequently over the last few years, there was always somebody watching You've Got Mail or The Notebook. It was always those two movies. Oh, damn. But I was like, oh, okay, well, I wasn't expecting, you know, those guys to reach out to me. that was not in the cards when I started doing the best show.

But yeah, so that's new number one's last one I just did was about two liberated sex robots. Hmm. Yeah. Cool. Yep. Also, I do have a third podcast that I am getting in the works of getting started soonish. So when we get closer to that date, I'll start promoting it a little more heavily. But it is in the pipeline officially.

that all being said, any final words on this Avengers auction? Like so, this was like a year and a quarter in the making. I would say congratulations to John for his pretty good roster of characters.
