Starting point is 00:00:00 Auto-hue with Sunny Cars feels as if the children not be made. Tiselstramble. Zandvo. Actis forcare. Verdwine. Vacantity can chaotic
Starting point is 00:00:10 but who zorgalose an auto-hurt says, Uno dos no stress. No idea. Noct to cost. Always full-ledged. So, auto-huees-on-sonder-zorg.
Starting point is 00:00:22 Go to your raceadviseur or sunnycars. Have you always wanted to do Dancing with the Stars? So literally being on Dancing with the Stars has been my dream. You have to be eight to go to the dancing with the stars, like live tapings. And I went and I was like, one day, I'm going to be a pro and I'm going to be doing this. Gives me chills every time I tell the story. The fact that I got to achieve it at my age and right out of high school.
Starting point is 00:00:44 I looked up to my sister, my whole entire life. What advice did she give you? Just to be yourself. A lot of people lose themselves in the situation. They can try to be someone that they're not so that they can cater to certain people. People like you. Great. If they don't, like it's still awesome. With social media, new followers, people giving it. opinions, was that adjustment hard for you at all? I didn't let any comments get to me. Kind of just live my life. Just not let anyone take that. Do you read comments?
Starting point is 00:01:07 I put on comment filters sometimes if I just wanted to avoid anything. It really doesn't get to me. I think that's something. I'm so thankful for dance of giving me such a strong backbone. The dancers aren't tough as nails. It's just there. It's just, what can that do? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:29 When life gives you lemons, what do you do with them? Over here at the squeeze, we talk about it. Eleven drops, happy Wednesday. We have a very special guest in studio with us today, Miss Riley Arnold. Hello, everybody. We also have some hyper dogs that just ate treats. So we'll see how they just see Remy Steele. We'll see.
Starting point is 00:02:00 Oh my gosh. They're literally sniffing looking for more treats right now. It's too much. I'm so excited that we're finally getting to do this because I feel like our schedules have literally just been like bouncing back and forth. And sadly, Taylor is not here, but he sends his love. And he was sad to. miss it, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity of missing you again. No, I'm so glad I'm here.
Starting point is 00:02:21 Oh my gosh. So good. Okay. So we start each episode with a little game called Citrus Got Real. Okay. Which is our jar. Amazing. That has questions in it if you would like to pull one. Okay. Okay. There we go. What is your go-to dance move? Cater to me. Okay. I swear on everything that I didn't put that there. Like actually, like, wow. Hand to God I did not do. Wow. I did not do that. That's insane. That's like meant to be. Yeah. Wow. Okay. My go-to dance move. Do you know what a Bacacotta is? Oh, no. It's a ballroom. Okay. I feel like that's my go-to always. Can you like do it? Will the camera's catching? Yeah. This is the straight one, Will. I'm scared. I don't want to embarrass myself. Oh my gosh. I think that's probably the last thing you would do. Okay, then do it with your arms. Or can you explain? it is. So it's like you like shake and you do arms. Oh, okay. Yes. Okay. I think I see it in my head. Yeah. I'm sure you've
Starting point is 00:03:25 seen it if you've watched Dancing with the Stars. Yeah. It's like a big move. Okay. Wait, say it again. Bacchicata. Bacchicata. Yep. Okay. That's, that's a new word. Yeah. I know nothing about ballroom. I grew up. I danced my whole life, but I never did ballroom. Okay. So I literally have the zero, zero, zero, zero percent knowledge of ballroom. And on our first season, I grew up, I'm, I grew up And last year we had Val and Jenna on. And we, like, did this cute little TikTok with them. And they were, like, showing us how to do moves. And Val was, like, spinning me.
Starting point is 00:03:57 And they were, like, showing me how to do stuff. And I was like, I've never moved my hips like this before. I know. It's crazy, huh? It's such a weird, like, I feel awkward. And I never, like, felt awkward doing that. No, it's like a whole different, like, realm of dancing. Like, if you don't do that, it's just like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:13 It's kind of a whole different world. It's crazy. Did you do, like, everything growing up? Did you like specialize in? No, I did everything. Like I, well, I kind of like did everything longer than I did ballroom. Okay. But I started doing ballroom when I was like nine, ten years old and I fell in love and then just
Starting point is 00:04:29 devoted like all of my time into it because it was like that's what I like to do. And was that your sisters too? Were they? Because didn't they, did they all dance? Yes. So all three of my older sisters danced growing up. Because my mom had a dance studio. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Yes. So we all just danced at that dance studio. We all did like all the style. we all competed. But they all, seriously, like, all of them really liked Ballroom the most. Like, I feel like we all was connected to that because, like, for Ballroom, you travel to, like, competitions every weekend. You have, like, a partner that you dance with. Like, it's fun and it's fun energy. So I feel like we all liked that in a way. And then, yeah. Was it, like, ever competitive with you guys? Or are you decently spread out to where it was like, oh,
Starting point is 00:05:11 like, we're all kind of doing our own thing? Yeah. No, we never got competitive, luckily. Like, I mean, I'm so far from my other sisters that it's like they're just, I'm just the baby sister. I feel like no one really felt competitive towards me. Yeah. But like Jensen and Lindsay are three years apart, my two oldest sisters. Okay. And even them, like they were always so supportive of each other, which is like so lucky because some sisters can get like, yeah, just scary if you're doing all the same things.
Starting point is 00:05:36 But they were always so supportive, which is so cute. She's literally, I know. Remy is bringing Riley all of her toys. This is cool. It's a, it's like a. shrimp taco. I don't really know. Shrip taco. I love it. Look at it. It has like a, I call it a fish taco, but Taylor thinks it's a, it's a shrimp. Wait, I don't know. I know. Maybe that's a fish. I know. I can't tell. Oh my gosh. Okay. So, since you competed so much growing up,
Starting point is 00:06:09 did that make tour like easier or harder? Was that the first time you'd ever really done something like that? Tour was like my very first experience of that. Like I've never traveled that much in my entire life. Like if you know me, I am terrible at packing. Like that is literally one of my weaknesses. And the fact that I had to do that every single day on tour was just crazy. But I got better at it, which is good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:35 But like nothing really prepares you for tour life. Like living on a bus, doing a show every day, having every single day be the exact same for a straight three months. like no one prepares you for that. But honestly, I feel like I kind of like really thrived in that environment and like really loved it. Because there's like mixed reviews, you know? Yeah. And like a lot of the people that I got advice from had done tours for like five plus years. And so they're kind of like, yeah, it's great. It's fun. But there's like it's ups and downs of like not being home and like missing home. But I feel like since it was my first one and I'm just young, I like really enjoyed it. Yeah, I was going to say was there any part that was like,
Starting point is 00:07:15 okay, this is a little overwhelming because I know people like obviously to work tends to take a toll on people. Yeah. So was there any of that or was it just it was your first time doing it so you were able to just kind of fully take it in? I feel like I fully just took in every moment. I mean, it wasn't until like literally the last two weeks where I was like, okay, I'm pretty homesick. Yeah. Like I miss just being able to chill and just be home. Yeah. But that's pretty good. Like for a three month tour to only feel sick of it by the end is actually so lucky. Yeah. How would you do your laundry? Okay. It was a hassle. So some of the venues you can go to, there's laundry machines. But not all of them. Like, and also, you have to like borrow tidepods from the wardrobe people we have. Sometimes I, there's like a laundry app called Diplo, I think. And it will pick up your clothes from you, like at a hotel. It's like sometimes on days off, I'd have them pick up my clothes and like do my laundry. And it was actually super cheap. It's like a dollar a pound or something. Oh, wow. Yeah. or something. But that's, that was really, really confusing for me because, again, I'm not good at laundry. And I also just like, I just, this is awful.
Starting point is 00:08:25 But like, I just graduated from high school. My mom did all of my laundry. Yeah. And then I just went out to L.A. I had to do everything on my own and then go on tour and try to figure that out was just a lot for me. So where do you stand with laundry now? I'm good at it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:43 I definitely learned the hard way. But I figured it out. Yeah. Oh my gosh. That's so good. Yeah. I didn't even think about that. Like you're really like, you fully adjusted to like being on your own.
Starting point is 00:08:55 Yes. And you're like right out of high school. Yeah. Yeah. That's so crazy. Was that like scary at all? In the beginning it definitely was. Like I was a little bit overwhelmed with like the responsibility I was taking.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Yeah. And also just becoming a pro. Like just that is a whole other like thing and a whole thing that you kind of have to just mentally prepare for. But my mom, she came down, like, all the time to L.A. She would buy me groceries. Like, every time she came, she was cleaning my apartment. Like, my mom is literally heaven sent, because I wouldn't have been able to do anything without her. She's just the best. Oh, my gosh. I love that. So had you always wanted to do dancing with the stars or was it, like, how did that opportunity come about? Because, like, obviously your sister did it. And I feel like
Starting point is 00:09:38 she's, like, one of the most, like, recognizable people to ever, like, pros to be on that show. Yeah. So was that like a, I want to follow in her footsteps or what happened there? Okay. So literally being on Dancing with the Stars has been my dream since I was eight years old. Because that was when I was, so you have to be eight to go to the Dancing with the Stars, like live tapings. Okay. And that was when Lindsay was a pro and I was finally of age to go to the tapings. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:10:05 And I went and I was like in the studio and I was just like, one day I'm going to be a pro and I'm going to be doing this. which is just, it gives me chills every time I tell the story. Because truly, like, it was just such a big dream and the top of my bucket list. So the fact that I got to achieve it at my age and right out of high school is just insane to me. But yeah, I looked up to my sister, my whole entire life. I watched her. She did such an amazing job and handled it with such grace, but also was just such a good role model. So I feel like when I was going to do it, I was like, I want to do it right.
Starting point is 00:10:37 I want to do it like how Lindsay did it and be able to like be a good example to people, but also just have fun and like follow my dream. So I feel like Lindsay like heavily influenced me to do it. But at the same time, it's just like always been my dream. Yeah. What advice did she give you when you were like going on? Literally me and Lindsay, when I found out I got on the show, I had two weeks to prepare before I had to move down to L.A.
Starting point is 00:11:01 And we did a little boot camp. Literally every day I would go over to Lindsay's house while her kids had nap time. Oh my gosh. And we would like go over dances. She would go over dance moves and like different dance moves. and like different dance moves you can do with like different skill level of dancers. Like it was so funny. I'm like, why didn't we film this boot camp? Why didn't we give the boot camp to other people? That's so true. We could sell this boot camp to somebody. But it was so funny. She definitely like took it upon her to like make sure I knew what I was doing. She gave me just like, I mean, I'd say the biggest advice she gave me was like just to be yourself. Yeah. A lot of people can like lose themselves in the situation. They can try to be someone that they're not so that they can cater to certain people.
Starting point is 00:11:40 But her biggest thing was just be true to who you are. And if people like you, great. If they don't, like, still awesome. Like, at least you have people supporting you. I always had my family supporting me, which was so important to me. And so I think just the biggest thing is just to be yourself. Yeah. Yeah. I love that. I feel like you did a really good job at that. Thank you. I feel like it was like, you could tell it was you. Like, I felt like your personality is shining through. Because everything was like, I mean, obviously there was dances that were like more serious. Everything was like just like fun and bubbly. Like you did a really good job. of encapsulating that. Thank you. When you found out Harry was your partner, did you know who he was? Like, had you watched his shows? Yes. Okay. I did. So I literally, I had followed him on TikTok, like, even before we had met and then I had to, like, unfollow him because they were like, you can't follow your partners before it's announced. But I had followed him. I had seen his TikToks. I had seen his Instagram. And so when he walked into the room, I was like, oh, no, like Starstruck. Oh my gosh. I know who you are in. you're going to be dancing with me for the next, like, three months. Like, that's crazy. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. And he's, he's tall. That's the biggest thing. That's the biggest impression of him. Yeah. Like, immediately when he walked in, I was like, you're so tall because you don't expect it, but, like, he's huge. Yeah. It's crazy. Is that hard to, like, dance with someone that tall? I mean, you're, like, a decent height. I'd say I'm, like, Yeah. I'm also short. But I feel like that was definitely easier than.
Starting point is 00:13:10 than it would be for someone like my height or shorter than me. Right. Yeah. Like I feel like I'm not super short. Like I'm actually a pretty taller girl. So it wasn't too hard, but it's still like, it's hard to dance as a really tall person. Yeah. For someone who's never danced before, it doesn't come easy to tall people, I feel like, because it's like you have a lot more to carry around. Yeah. Was there ever a moment where you were like, oh crap. And I mean, this is in the most respectful way to Harry. But when we were watching the show, I was literally like, they're giving the new girl, someone who like can't, who like really can't, like hasn't grasped, like he's never danced before. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:13:46 I mean, it's in the most respectful way because he has stepped up his game. But was there a moment, like, I was like, they're hazing her right now. They're hazing the newbie, like getting her to do this. Was there ever a moment where you're like, okay, like, let's see how this goes? Because I bet it's probably so challenging, like trying to teach dance to someone who has no knowledge of it. Right. No, it's difficult. It's hard because it's not like he's been exposed to it.
Starting point is 00:14:11 He's never really like watched dancing. So he went into it very blindly, which is what the show is about. So I think it's vulnerable and like really cool that he did it. Yeah. But like honestly, Harry worked really, really hard. And there wasn't ever a time where I was like, oh my gosh, I can't do this. Like he's just not grasping anything. Like he truly, he worked super hard.
Starting point is 00:14:31 He like remembered the stuff that he needed to remember. I think my biggest like, oh no moment was when we would have to do like two dance. dances a week because that's just hard. Yeah. And like two dances that are pretty similar because it's like I'm teaching him this dance and then he's getting like the two mixed up and we really only have like five days to repair it all. Yeah. So I feel like those were like the most stressful moments for me where I was like, okay, we really need to dial down. But like honestly it was it was really fun and just like exciting to be a part of that and like teach him how to dance. Yeah. It seems it seems so fun. Yeah. Will you be back next season? I hope so.
Starting point is 00:15:07 We really do not know until like two weeks before like I did last year, which is crazy. They're very last minute about it all. But if they ask me, a thousand percent, I would love to be on again. Oh, my gosh. Well, maybe I'll see you there because I'm trying to do it. Yes, please. You have to. I know. I'm manifesting it for you. Thank you. Thank you. We're all like sending it. Yes. Sending it that way. Okay. So obviously through this whole process of, you know, you're doing the show and being partners with Harry, who has such like a predominant, like impact stance involvement on social media, like he has a huge following. Yeah. That obviously came on to you as well. Was the adjustment with social
Starting point is 00:15:50 media hard for you? Like with, you know, new followers, people giving opinions and stuff. Was that adjustment hard for you at all? Honestly, not really, which is really surprising because I was kind of worried about that. Yeah. Because suddenly when me and Harry became partners, there was so many opinions and so many people saying so many things. Yeah. And it's like, it's scary when there's eyes watching you, when you want to be like a good light and you want people to see you in like a positive light. It's really tricky to like navigate around that. And like for me who had never experienced that before. Yeah. And for the first time, it was definitely really scary. But I feel like Harry kind of helped me a lot in that way. But also at the same time, I feel like I just didn't let it
Starting point is 00:16:35 affect me. Like I didn't let any comments like get to me. I didn't think I didn't take anything personally. I kind of just lived my life and I was just like oh whatever like if there's something mean said like I don't care. I'm here. I'm doing something so special. I don't want like one silly thing or one silly comment to like ruin the whole situation for me because I was like this is my dream. I'm going to live it up to its fullest and just not let anyone like take that. Yeah, that's good. Yeah. I love that. Is there, is there like a boundary that you've kind of put, like, do you read comments? Do you just not even go there? Do you look at your like message requests? Or is there anything that you've kind of put in place to keep it happy like that? I didn't read comments at all during the season. Like,
Starting point is 00:17:22 I just did not read comments. I put on comment filters sometimes if I just wanted to avoid like, anything. But honestly, like, I think it's kind of fun to read them sometimes. Yeah. Because it's funny, it really doesn't get to me, which is really positive. Like, when those people leave those comments, I'm just like, okay. If you have that opinion, you have that opinion. Like, what can I do to, there's nothing I can do to change your mind. Yeah. So I think it's kind of funny sometimes to listen to it and just see what people have to say because it's like, it's my life, not yours. Yeah. No, I have, I have this one person that always, like, leaves a comment or she'll DM me. And it's just like, it's a backhanded compliment all the time. And it's kind of fun. Like, we've just made it funny. I'm like, why? Yeah. She'll just send things in. I'm like, oh, here she goes. Here she goes again. So I feel like that's just kind of like the outlook. Yeah. Because you can't, you can't waste like your energy. Yeah. Especially when, you know, you know, like who you are. You know that you're loved. And I think that's something. that a lot of us need to like try to incorporate more is like I don't even read the comments. Like I'll have like friends or family be like, did you see this comment? And I'm like, I didn't even like look. Like sometimes I'll scroll. And I do like when we first started this podcast, it's gotten a little better. But I was like I never read the comments. I'm not looking at so many of our listeners. But comment and be like, I know you're not going to see this. But I was like, okay, maybe I need to start engaging more. Yeah. Maybe we should a little bit. Yeah. So I try to do it a little more.
Starting point is 00:18:54 but it's still, I'm still like, okay, I'm not going to fully divulge into it. Yeah, well, and I can also thank my family for, like, keeping me, like, away from that because I truly just like, I care about my family so much and, like, my inner circle and the people that are actually around me. And I care, like, that those people like me because those are the people that are actually supporting me. So I feel like I can really thank my family for, like, being able to, like, push away from that and not let it affect me. Yeah. That's so true. Do you think you'll move out here? it's definitely possible.
Starting point is 00:19:26 Okay. I just thought of, I've literally just had like a squirrel. Yeah, no, I like, I love L.A. And I love the vibes here. I feel like I always have like the best time. But it's just so hard because I'm so close to my family and they're all in Utah and we all live like 10 minutes away from each other. Aw.
Starting point is 00:19:41 And like they all have kids. And so I'm just, I love being home and I love being able to take like small trips out here because it's really only like an hour 15 flight from Utah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So like if I could take little weekend trips here and there like once. month, then, like, I think that's good for me. But if there's a point where I'm like, actually, I'd like to live here for like a good three months, then I feel like I definitely
Starting point is 00:20:03 would do it. Yeah. I freaking love Lindsay's, um, her like, get readies with me with Sage. That's her needs to say right. Oh my gosh. I pop up on my thing all the time and I'm like, I literally just, I watch so many of them. She is so cute. How old is she? She's three. Oh my gosh. Funniest little girl ever, like my best friend. Oh, my gosh. She's literally so much. personality. Like I feel like literally. Just like, let's her talk. Yeah. Literally. It's so cute. Wait, did she get to go to the show at all? Yes. She came to a couple. But Lindsay would just like walk backstage with her. Like she couldn't come in. Yeah. But she loved it. It was so funny. And she came to one of our tour shows. Okay. And was filming me the whole time, was watching me and like sat and watched the entire show. No. And she's three. I'm like, you're going to be doing this one day. Like I will make it happen. I'm going to be the crazy aunt. Yeah. The dance aunt.
Starting point is 00:20:53 Oh my gosh. That's so sweet. She is so freaking cute. No, she really is. Taylor and I recently have been talking about how implementing small actions here and there can make such a big difference in our lives. We recently got back on the workout, eating healthy train, really just buckling down and committing to that. But something that's small that I have been implementing into my life. truthfully, over the past, I'd say two years that has made such a big difference is taking seeds DSO1 daily symbiotic. There are so many benefits. It benefits your gut, your skin, your heart health with just two little capsules a day. Like I said, I've been taking seed for, I mean, I guess it's probably been over two years, maybe like two, three years now. I take it
Starting point is 00:21:52 every day. And for those of you who don't know, I have digestive problems, but since implementing Seeds DS01 into my routine every morning, it has been such a big game changer. These capsules are basically two capsules in one. So it actually makes it down to your gut and is physically working there, which is something a lot of products that are similar on the market don't have. And that's why I have chosen and continue and will probably forever take seed. Trust your gut with Seeds DS01 daily symbiotic. Go to seed.com slash the squeeze and use code 25 the squeeze to get 25% off your first month. That's 25% off your first month at Seeds, DS01 Daily Symbiotic at seed.com
Starting point is 00:22:44 slash the squeeze code 25 the squeeze. I'd love to dive a little bit into your journey with diabetes. Okay, yes. Because I think for how common it is, it's really not talked about much. Not at all. Like, I remember growing up when I was, you know, prepping for you coming. I remember when I was young, this is maybe before your time because I just Taylor reminded me our age difference. but I'm not, I'm almost a decade older than you, but I'm not there. So I'm just holding on to the,
Starting point is 00:23:25 it's not a decade. Yeah. Taylor was like, because I put on my Instagram story when I did the thing, I was like, I'm feeling with someone special. We're like around the same age. And Taylor's like, you're not around the same age. You're 27. I was like, just let me have my moment. Yeah. But anyways, when I was younger, Nick Jonas came out and said that he had diabetes and it was like this huge thing. Yeah. And I honestly can't think. of, I mean, for me personally, I know there is, but having an impact on me, someone with a platform, like, talking about it. Yeah, I know. And working, I have a nurse and I worked as a nurse and, like, almost all my, like, diabetes is so common. It really is. Like, it's like so. And you don't
Starting point is 00:24:06 know that people have it either. Like, it's so, like, discreet. I literally remember when Nick Jonas was diagnosed and I cried because I was obsessed with Nick Jonas. And I was like, tears. I was like, is he going to die? And then literally. when I got diagnosed in the hospital, I was like, Nick Jonas has type one. Like, that was one of my first things I thought of. I'm like, I can't. Oh, my gosh. So how old were you when you were diagnosed? Okay. So I was about to be 16 years old. I was like two months being 16. Yep. So I was 15. Yep. So I don't me tell you like my whole diagnosis. Okay. Yeah. Okay. So I was in like the heat of my dance season and I was like really sick. I was just exhausted. I felt like when I was dancing, I like couldn't give it my all. I couldn't like. I couldn't like. dance as well as I wanted to. And like kind of my teachers were like, Riley, what's going on? Like you're dancing like slow or like, why aren't you giving it to me? And it was like a really hard time in my life too because I was like, am I losing my dance? Like what's happening? Am I not good anymore? So it was a huge thing like that. But basically I was really sick. I went to like a Dallas
Starting point is 00:25:10 competition. And after the competition, I obviously ate a bunch because you're really hungry when you have it. Yeah. And I like passed out like immediately. after and like slept for like ever and that was just like crazy but again no one thought I would have it because it doesn't run in my family it doesn't like yeah it doesn't run in my family so we were like there's no way I could have it but basically I was at a convention so a convention's just like a big thing where you do like a bunch of class I'm sure you know what a convention is yeah but for people who don't know it's like where you do like a bunch of different styles of dance and you just like take a bunch of classes and I went through like a whole case of water bottles
Starting point is 00:25:49 in like one day. I was peeing like every 30 minutes and like my mom was like, where'd all your water go? I'm like, I drank it all. She's like, what? Like, what is happening to you? Like, just so confused. I was eating so much, but losing so much weight. Like, it was really scary. So there was one day. I was on TikTok and I, a TikTok popped up on my 40 page of like type 1 diabetes like symptoms. Yeah. And literally I had every single one. It was like mood swings, frinket urination, like super thirsty, just like feeling out of body. And I sent it to my family group chat. And they were like laughing. Like, Riley, you're so funny. And I'm like, I know, I'm so funny. Like, there's no way I have diabetes. Like, literally, we did not think it was even possible.
Starting point is 00:26:36 My dad, even my dad was a doctor and my one of my sisters is a nurse. And they were like, this is so funny. Like, you do not have it. So I continued to live my life. I just kept getting sicker. Then there was one day, I came home and I was like just sitting there and I was like, Dad, you know, like, I really do not feel good. Like, could get like my blood checked or something? Like, I think I'm like sick with something. Yeah. Like I literally, I was like, I went pee like seven times in the night last night. He's like, what? You went pee seven times in the night. He was like, we need to like actually check you for diabetes if that's true. And I was like, yes, it's true. So we went to the hospital, checked my blood sugar. It like wouldn't even read on the thing.
Starting point is 00:27:16 it just said hi, which was crazy because that means it was above 600. And so then I went into the hospital. They admitted me. They like did a bunch of tests on me. And then they told me that my blood sugar was 1,023. Yep. And for reference, 80 to 120 is where you're supposed to be. And I was in the 1000s.
Starting point is 00:27:35 So that was really bad. They said I had diabetes for like three months before the fact. But because I was so active and dancing every weekend and dancing so much, it was helping maintain it and helping me not malfunction. But literally, like, I could have gone to bed that night and not gone to the hospital and I could have died, which is so scary. So basically, I got admitted. I was in the hospital for, like, three days.
Starting point is 00:27:59 And it was insane. You, like, basically the whole three days, you're just training on how to manage your diabetes, how to prick your finger, how to, like, figure out how much insulin to give yourself for food. Like, it's really, it was really overwhelming just at the time. time and like a huge thing to like tell somebody at 16 to just completely change your life at that point. Yeah. I didn't realize that you were that old. Yes. Because I have friends that have were diagnosed like younger like an elementary school. Right. Yeah. But yeah. But yeah. But the fact that you're saying like a 16 year old who like has their whole like not life and order but their routine. Yes. Yeah. And to like be handed this thing that you now have to. It's not just like you take a pill every day. Do you like you, it's something you have to fully track? Yes.
Starting point is 00:28:49 It's like it's consumed every single part of my mind at this point. And it's like, it's just a whole thing that I have to think about. And it's crazy that I like had to change that at 16. But luckily I feel like I don't remember my life before and I don't remember being able to eat without insulin. So that's a plus. It's like I feel like I've like adjusted to the lifestyle. When you were diagnosed, was there ever a point where you were. like, why me or like just frustrated because I remember my friends, my one friend in particular
Starting point is 00:29:22 that I'm talking about when he was like, I remember being in like the school nurse's office, like in elementary school and he would like have to come in at like recess and lunch to go like get his insulin. I remember him one day like crying in there, like visibly looking at him like crying like upset that he had to do this. And it's such an adjustment. And like for him, he kind of grew up with it. But did you have that type of moment? Yes, thousand percent. So I was in the hospital and I, it was like the first night that I was in the hospital. And I'm a very religious person. So I pray a lot. And I was just kind of like, why? Like, why did this have to happen? Why did this life adjustment have to happen to me? Just kind of like angry at the whole situation. But then all of a sudden I had like,
Starting point is 00:30:11 I had prayed and I had like asked for direction, asked for like a positive light in this situation. And I feel like I was kind of like enlightened in a way where I was like, this can be like such a like big inspiration to so many people because I thought my life was over. I thought everything was going to change. I wasn't going to be able to dance. I thought that I was going to have to devote every single time into my blood sugar and how I was doing. but little did I know that one day I can speak about it. I can be a big person that has type one, but can still do what they're doing in life. You can have a normal life. You can still follow your dreams with diabetes. Like it should not stop you whatsoever. It's definitely in challenge. And I'm not
Starting point is 00:30:56 saying like I'm like completely fine with it. Like there's days where I'm literally like, why do I have this? Like this sucks. Like there's just so many moments and scary things that can happen in just a split of a second. But I feel like, I just changed my mindset. I was like, one day, I'm going to be a voice for so many people. And if I do get to be on Dancing with the Stars one day, I can open my platform and tell people of my diagnosis and, like, inspire someone who goes to the hospital and gets diagnosed and just show that, like, really, it doesn't change your life and you can still follow your dreams. So I think that's my biggest thing. Yeah. I love that. I was going to ask if there was like any positive that
Starting point is 00:31:36 came from it. But I'm assuming that would be Yes. I feel like just being able to be a voice for it. And luckily I got to change my mindset quickly. Like it was sad. Like I was very sad. I was very confused and went into it really blindly because I didn't know anyone with type
Starting point is 00:31:52 one. Yeah. And I had never seen anyone manage it. I never knew how it worked. Like I literally thought I was like, I'm going to die. Like this is so bad. And like you don't know what comes with that. You don't,
Starting point is 00:32:02 I don't know what my life is going to look like at 70 years old. But like what I can do is, now is stay healthy and just look at it in a positive light. Yeah. Yeah. Have you ever considered writing a children's book? Literally, that's one of my dreams right now. Okay, great. Is to write a children's book. Yeah. I'm going to manifest that for you because as you're talking, it just like, I literally was just really heavily feeling that you need to do that. Yes. No, literally. Do you know who, do you know how Daisy Kent is? She's on The Bachelor? Yes, I love her. You give me, you give the same energy. Oh my gosh. That literally makes me so happy because I,
Starting point is 00:32:36 I am obsessed with Daisy. Like literally. Okay. Well, maybe we all need to hang out when you're back. We just filmed with her. Her episode just came out. Oh, that's so fun. But she's a joy.
Starting point is 00:32:46 But you guys give the same, just like light personality. And she has her children's book. I feel like it, that's the vibe I was thinking that you can do too. Yeah. Literally, that's like something that I'm like, I've talked to my manager about. I'm like, this is a dream that I want to do is make a children's book. I think it would just be so cute. Yeah. Oh my gosh. No, that would be great for you. Do you have any words of encouragement or advice for someone that is newly diagnosed or going through, you know, a season of kind of like a whimey kind of stuck personality or stuck time? I would say for someone who does have type one and you were just recently diagnosed, I would say to just find the positives in every point of it, like cater to the people that really.
Starting point is 00:33:36 care about you and really want to be there for you, but also just know that it doesn't have to stop your life. Like, it doesn't have to make you completely change. It's just a little adjustment that you're going to have to do. But, like, to just continue following your dreams, I hope I can be an example to that person who's struggling that, like, I can still do so many things and so many amazing things that I've always wanted to do with diabetes. But also, like, people with type one, we have, like, a certain strength in life. And we're obviously given it for a, a reason. That's like one of my biggest things is I got it for a reason and it's going to give me something so amazing one day. So I think just like use those strengths, use the things that
Starting point is 00:34:15 type one gives you and just like share it with the world. Yeah. I love that. I love, I'm like a very optimistic person and I'm always like, if I'm given this tough situation, I'm going to like make it into a positive. Yes. I love what you're saying because there is, I believe there is like a reason behind everything. Yeah. There is a positive behind. even if it doesn't seem like there is. Yeah. I love that. Okay, I want to head into our Lemon 7.
Starting point is 00:34:43 Okay. Perfect. So this is just seven questions that you can either wrap a fire or just give an answer or can have an explanation. You feel like sharing. Feel free. Okay. Okay. First one is what movie or song title best describes your mental health today?
Starting point is 00:34:59 Ooh. Okay. Okay. I thought about this. Good Life by Kanye. Okay. Okay. Yep.
Starting point is 00:35:06 I love that. Just the vibes of the song. Yeah. Really good or good days by Siza. Okay. Like just the vibe, the lyrics. I'm like, yes, I'm living a good life right now. Yeah, I love that, especially on this sunny day that we have here. Yeah. It's so good. Okay, number two is how open are you with people in your life when struggling? Ooh, I feel like I just cater to my family. Like, for me, my family is like the closest thing to me. And I feel like I'm completely open with them about everything I'm struggling with. Like, we tell each other. Literally everything, my sisters are truly my best friends, which I'm so lucky for. But if there's one person I'm open to, it's my family. Yeah. I love that. Yeah. Number three is if you could only follow three people on social
Starting point is 00:35:51 media or three accounts, what would they be? It could be across all platforms. So it could be like one from Instagram, one from TikTok. Oh, wow. I don't know. That's a hard question. I would say my three sisters. Oh. Yep. Lindsay Arnold, Jensen Arnold and Bradley Arnold. I can see their cute kids and all of their cute content. Oh my gosh. That's so good. Wow, that question was built for you. Yes, it was. Literally like the one you pulled. I still can't believe you pulled out that question. Yeah. Oh, I guess I never gave a dance move. Normally I'm supposed to give an answer too. I don't, yeah, I'll come back to that. I'll think about it. Number four is what is your favorite form of self-care? Oh, I love my nighttime routine. Like every time I go to bed, I spend like,
Starting point is 00:36:33 15 minutes goshawing my face. Oh my gosh. Love it. Yep. I take a nice shower or bath. Okay. And then after, I just do like really good skincare. I have body care. Like literally my nighttime routine is my favorite part of my day. It's just like my wind down and just my favorite thing ever. Yeah. Yeah. I was like mentally there with you. I was like getting relaxed. Feeling you were like going through all the motions. That's so good. What I'm just because I'm curious, what products do you use? Okay. So, I use, like on my face. Sure. Or both. On my face, I use this epicuteous lipid serum.
Starting point is 00:37:10 Okay. Life-changing. It'll, like, hydrate your skin literally overnight. Oh, wow. It's my favorite product. I use, like, an even skin tone correcting serum. Mm-hmm. Vitamin C serum, like the Caudillet.
Starting point is 00:37:22 Uh-huh. I don't know how to say it. Uh-huh. That one. Yeah. I don't know either. That's why I'm not saying it. I use touch of water cream.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Uh-huh. In the morning. Okay. Wait, the water cream is the blue one. Yes. That's what Taylor uses. Okay. Yes, love it.
Starting point is 00:37:36 Yeah. Especially in the morning. It gives you like a nice glow. Yeah. And then at nighttime, I use the Ole Henriksen. Uh-huh. Moistrising cream. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:37:43 So good. Oh, I love that. Lenege lip sleeping mask. Yeah. Eye cream. I use this bio saunts or something like that. Uh-huh. That's probably not the name.
Starting point is 00:37:56 I got it at Sephora. Okay. But it's a really nice eye cream. Bio. Wait. I feel like I know. What's the. the logo or what does it look like? It's green with like a tan top. Uh-huh. I think I know what you're
Starting point is 00:38:05 talking about, but I don't know that I'm so bad at names. That's because they all have like fancy names. Yeah. Like they're all like French names. I can't say any of these. I can't remember that. No. I'm surprised I remember Ole Henry. So, okay, wait, funny story. I was in Sephora the other day and they, Olegrenerickson has a really nice like peptide lip treatment. Okay. And I was talking to the guy. I was like, I, so there's this like peptide lip treatment. He's like naming off all the things. I'm like, I literally can't think of it. And then I go, it's on my lips. Like, it's on my lips right now.
Starting point is 00:38:35 He's like, how am I supposed to know which lip treatment is based on your lips? I'm like, wait, yeah, you're right. You shouldn't know that. Imagine he, like, goes and starts, like, sniffing your lips. And he's like, hmm. Yeah, literally, I'm like, sniff them. Tell me what product it is, please. He's trying to like, excuse me, ma'am?
Starting point is 00:38:55 Yeah, literally. He's like, you're crazy. Oh, my gosh. That's so good. Okay, that was a good answer. I love hearing like what people use because literally everyone uses completely different things all the time. Yeah. But I love, I love skincare stuff.
Starting point is 00:39:10 I'm the same. Literally. Number five. What is the most misunderstood thing about you? Ooh. Hmm. I would say honestly, like my type one diabetes, like just that whole like realm of life is so unknown to so many people. And like on tour when I was living with.
Starting point is 00:39:31 like 12 different dancers, it was like they had no idea what it was about. They had no idea, like what you have to do. Like when my phone would, because I have a Dexcom and it just tells me what my blood sugar is and my phone will beep when I like need to eat food or when I need to give myself more insulin. And like my phone would beep when I'm around them. My phone would beep in the middle of the night when I needed sugar. And they just, it like kind of opened their eyes to like how much it consumes your life and how hard it is really. But I think a lot of people like, like misunderstand that. They don't know that it's like actually something you have to manage and really worry about. So I feel like that's something that like people don't quite see. But that's
Starting point is 00:40:10 anyone with type one. Like you just don't see it until you're actually in it. Yeah. That's so true. Yeah. Number six is who has had the most positive impact on your mental health? Oh, wow. There's a couple people, all my sisters, obviously, like throughout my whole entire life, they have just helped me in so many ways and made me more of a confident person. They bump me up every day. They always give me a confidence boost. My parents are truly heaven sent. Like they raised such beautiful like people, just my sisters. And they helped raise me in such a good way to like avoid like judgment, avoid like kind of just live your life for yourself, but also just have a positive outlook on everything. Like I'm so lucky.
Starting point is 00:40:57 that I have the parents that I have because they truly just shaped me and all of my sisters into great people. So I'm really grateful for that as well. Yeah. I love that. Number seven is if you can go back to one moment in your life, what moment would that be and what would you say to yourself? I would go back to my high school senior self because I was going through a really hard time. I was kind of in a point where I wasn't obsessed with dancing anymore. Okay. Because I kind of got stuck in like the competition world. I judged myself.
Starting point is 00:41:32 I was so worried about what others thought of me and like what people would think about certain things I would do. I didn't really enjoy my senior year of high school. Like I didn't like live it to the fullest. I was again just so worried about what people thought of me, which was so sad. Like yeah. I hate being stuck in that mind. And I wish I could just go back and like tell that, Riley, that like, you are going to be living
Starting point is 00:41:56 your dreams in the next six months. And like, none of this and no other situations are going to matter. Like, you're not going to care. Like, I wish I could have just, like, been able to tell her to just let go. Yeah. And just, like, continue. Like, obviously, I continue to dance and train. And I was like, I have a goal here. And hopefully I reach it. Like, that was just kind of my mindset senior year. And then honestly, like, in the summer, I still didn't know about dancing with the stars. And I was just like, what am I going to do with my life? Like, truly, I want dancing with the stars to happen so bad. And I've wanted it for so long. But like, sometimes it doesn't happen. Like, sometimes you're like, it doesn't quite work out. So I had to like come up with a lot of plan B's. But truthfully, like, I was like, I guess I'll go to school. But that wasn't like calling my name. Like I was like, that doesn't sound amazing, but I will. So I'm just like, I wish I could have gone. on back and just been like, don't worry. Like, continue to dance. Continue loving it.
Starting point is 00:42:53 Like, enjoy those last little moments, like, in high school because it's all going to work out and it's all going to be okay. Yeah. Yeah. I love that. Yeah. Did you ever feel like those feelings just from growing up and dancing and I know, I mean, I don't know how it was for you, but I know for me, there's simply times where I was like,
Starting point is 00:43:12 okay, well, like looking back, I'm like, that probably shouldn't have been said by an adult to a child. We had chairs thrown. Yeah. Experience quite a few things. But I'm wondering if do you feel like that those feelings that you were feeling your senior year of, you know, people's opinions like mattering so much to you? Do you think that stemmed from dance and always being like critiqued? And do you think that was like maybe where it's stem from?
Starting point is 00:43:38 Yes. It's the dance world is hard because it's really fun and like competing is really fun. But it's a sport that you're compared to everybody. Like you're compared to. every single person you cross paths with. And it's almost like a competitive spirit that you can't escape. And my mindset was just like, I was never good enough. Like I was never like just good enough to beat this person or to like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:44:03 It's just hard too because it's like dancing is so selective. Like the people that are judging you have opinions and they like certain dancing. But that has nothing to go against you. That has nothing to say about your character and who you are. But I took it to heart sometimes. I took those critiques in the way people would talk about my dancing to heart, which was just not good because then I just never felt good enough. Or if I like didn't win a competition, it was like, oh my gosh, this is so embarrassing. But like in the big scheme of it all, it really doesn't because now like doing dancing with stars, I just grew a love for it because it was like I got to dance for myself.
Starting point is 00:44:40 And like I wasn't compared. Like I taught Harry and it was fun. And then I got on tour and there was people supporting me while I was performing. And it was just a whole different like mindset switch of dance. Like I was truly like, oh wait, this is what dance should be about. And I should just be doing it for myself. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:57 I love that. I'm happy that you were still able to keep that. When I graduated high school, I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I was the first, like, no one in my family had gone to college. And we were trying to figure out. And I was like, well, I guess I'll just like go to school for dance because I don't really, like, know what else to do. So I went to school. I was a dance major for a semester.
Starting point is 00:45:17 And then it was like rough. Like that was the first time I ever felt those feelings of like being, I mean, obviously you feel them like in class and competition. But it just kind of brought it to a whole other level because you're literally being graded on like everything. Yeah. And no literally. It took, it started like really taking my love for dance out of it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:41 Especially because I was doing it every day. And it's, I think it's different when class is like, you're going as like. a passion of yours and then class is when you're being graded on your tondues and like literally that's what it was yeah and i started getting so burnt out from it yeah and i just had to sit myself down and be like okay i don't want to keep doing this i want dance to be like a love and like a passion of mine and something that you know the journey ends like happily and not something i end up just like not even wanting to do yeah so i ended up just stopping and changing majors and doing nursing. But I love that you were able to like kind of
Starting point is 00:46:24 switch your mindset. Yeah. With it. I feel like what helped was I always was like, I'm doing this because I want to be on dancing with the stars. Like, yeah, I'm training like this because I want to be there one day. So like the fact that I got to get to that point and finally find my love for dance again just helped so much. Because truthfully, like, it's just so cut throat. Yeah. And like, it's like everyone does it. And like everyone has their own. And like, strengths, but it's like they're asking you to all look the same, all dance the same, all have the same technique the same. And that's just hard. Like, I've never been one of those dancers that's like, I want to dance like everyone else. Like, I want to just have fun and just like feel good about it.
Starting point is 00:47:02 Yeah. I love that. I feel like dance also prepared me for criticism in nursing school. Yeah. Because I've like thrive off of like, if someone in a loving way is like critiquing me or giving me advice. Yes. Then I'm like, okay, great. I'm having. and take that and like use it. And during nursing school, I did it with my best friend who I grew up dancing with. We both did nursing school together. And the teachers are like kind of just like blunt. Yes. Sometimes. And my nursing school teachers were honestly like my dance teachers in the way that they taught and like critiqued us when we were in clinicals in the hospital. And I would have some fellow classmates that would get so upset and would like start to cry over like them being
Starting point is 00:47:44 critiqued. And I would be like, you're fine. Yeah. Like, I don't understand. Yeah. But I think that's something that I'm so thankful for dance and giving me such a strong backbone. Yeah. I feel like I can do anything now. Literally, dancers are tough as nails. Like, it's true.
Starting point is 00:48:00 Yeah. I think that's why you and I similarly, like with comments and stuff, like, everyone's like, how do you do that? I'm like, I don't know. It's just, it's just there. Yeah. Like, it's just, what can that do? Yeah. No, it's so good.
Starting point is 00:48:13 I love it. Okay, let me grab my phone. We're going to do the little sweet and sour game. Okay. Yes. game. Let's see. Okay, so lemon drops. I took to my Instagram story and you guys shared some questions for us to do for our sweet and sour segment. For those of you have not seen this segment, this is just basically where we answer sweet or sour, yes or no, love it, hate it to some
Starting point is 00:48:39 topics that you have given us. Also, I'm just seeing Taylor. Taylor's text to me saying, Tell her I'm a big fan. Oh my goodness. Literally tell him I'm obsessed with him. That is so funny. There was also quite a few people that literally just put like, because I put sweet or sour, they didn't listen to it. They just like answered.
Starting point is 00:49:02 So there's much people that put sweet, sweet, sweet. Oh, I was like, no, no, you got to listen. Yeah, you got to listen. Okay. Love notes. Sweet. Yeah. Yeah, come on.
Starting point is 00:49:13 Sox and sandals. I mean. sandals are like slights. I know. That's why I was going to say what kind of a sandal. A sandal is like, like what the thing?
Starting point is 00:49:23 Yeah, so sour. Yeah, probably. Okay, speaking of sandals, men in flip flops, especially with jeans. That's, that's, that's,
Starting point is 00:49:32 sour. If it's shorts. Shorts are fine. Like, you're going to the beach, you're going swimming. Like, it's okay. You can wear flip-flops. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:41 I don't think open-toed shoes though should be allowed for like men. Oh, I agree. Like even just out. It needs to be a setting you're going to take your shoes off. I agree. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:53 You can't just like wear that to dinner. Yeah. No. No. Looking at spoilers. I'm going to say sour. Like, do you look at Bachelor? I have to.
Starting point is 00:50:05 Sweet. I literally have to. I cannot get through the show unless I'm like, I need to know what's now. Like I need to know. Oh, wait. So then how did you do with this last season of The Bachelor? Did you hear like, the first one and then it ended up being something else. Okay. That's what Taylor, Taylor always looks
Starting point is 00:50:20 it up. Actually, he doesn't not, oh well, he just said shut the app up. He was actually doing good this season because we kind of took like a little break right from the show as most did. And then this past season when Joey was like thriving. Yes. And he was like, I'm not going to look it up this season. And then he ended up coming out like a reality seat post came up on this thing. And I remember he texts me. He's like, I'm so. annoyed. I just found out. But then he ended up just like fully looking into everything and then he found out. But I didn't know. With TV shows, I won't look it up. With movies, I have to like have a synopsis of the movie if I'm going to commit my time to it. Sometimes if I'm watching a movie and I'm like really,
Starting point is 00:51:01 really sad about the storyline and I'm like, I need to know what happens. I look it up. Like, did you ever watch one day? No, because I, for that reason, because I started seeing all these TikToks. And I was like, well, I am not watching that. Thank you. It's so sweet, but so sad. And I had to look up a spoiler because I was like, I knew, at one point I knew it was too good to be true and I was right. Yeah. Yeah. I'll watch it probably. See, I'm, I'm the annoying one in my relationship with my husband and I don't like watching things that make me feel something. Okay. Because I'm just like, I feel so many emotions throughout my day. I just like want to watch friends. Like something that is just like, I don't want to watch something that'll make me like have more emotions. Yeah. That's fair. So I. So I feel so I. I feel so I. I feel so I. I feel so I. I feel so I. I. I feel so. I. I would watch that show up until whenever it doesn't, when the emotion switches. Yeah. Like we just recently started watching, We Are the Lucky On On On Hulu. It's about like a true story.
Starting point is 00:51:57 Our friend Joey King stars in it. She's great. But it's about this family who lives in Poland during World War II. Oh, wow. How they get like invaded and it's this whole thing. And we were watching it before bed. Like that's like when we watch things. And night two of episode two, I was like, I don't think I can do this anymore.
Starting point is 00:52:14 Like it's so good. Can we watch it at 10 a.m. so that I can like just like process it a little bit more. Yeah. And like not be laying in bed thinking about like I think that too because that like actually happened and it's like things like that are hard. It's heavy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:29 Very. Yeah. Heavy. But if it's like that's why I love reality shows or anything like that. I'm like easy. It's just not deep. Yeah. I don't want to feel things.
Starting point is 00:52:37 Yeah. Is that concerning? Potentially. No, it isn't. I think it's great. Okay. Love it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:44 voice text. If it's under a certain amount of time, you're going to say sour? No, I love voice text. Okay. Yep. Actually, sweet. Okay. Great. Fine. It just needs to be under like two minutes is really pushing it. Like, would you rather have a call? Depends. Hmm. Yeah, same. Like, it depends on the situation. But I feel like I like having a call. Yeah. Because then we can just like talk in real time. Yeah. But like, I would say it's better than a text too. Yeah. Because then I can like sense what they're saying and like how they feel about what they're saying. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:20 Yeah. Yeah. It just needs to be under the time limit. Because once I'm like at a minute and 30, I'm like, okay, wait, we're still going. Yeah. A girlfriend of mine, her and her best friend will literally send each other like five minute voice notes. That's a lot. And then they respond with five minutes.
Starting point is 00:53:34 And then they just keep going. I'm like, how do you remember what you're saying? Yeah. Like you would have to take a note page and start like noting off what they're saying. Literally. That's too much. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:41 know. Oh, well, someone goes, sweet. Oops, I didn't have the volume on. Sorry. Oh, that's funny. Friends who tell you they love you before hanging up the phone. Sweet. Obviously. A guy that drives a truck. Oh, I mean, I enjoy a truck. I like a truck. Is that a common thing for you in Utah? Yes. Okay. Literally all Utah boys drive trucks. That's not, I'm from here. So that's like not super common. Yeah. I mean, sweet. I think I know guys that drive trucks that are nice guys I was good Did your ex drive at truck?
Starting point is 00:54:19 Is that why it's sour? You don't have to answer that, don't worry Oh, this is interesting When a guy has a Lego shelf in his room How old are we talking? Yeah Salt and vinegar chips Sweet
Starting point is 00:54:35 I love salt vinegar chips Men who don't like to drive Sauer Yeah, I am not driving I'm a passenger princess. Yep, me too. And my husband is very sweet and does that. That's so cute.
Starting point is 00:54:46 Guys who shave their armpits. That's me being neutral. Yeah. I'm like, I don't have any emotions about it. But I feel like it's weird if a guy, like if you see a guy's armpits and they're hairless. Yeah. Sour. Actually.
Starting point is 00:55:02 You would like sweat a lot if you were a guy. Yeah. Because the hair like stops it, right? I think so. I don't know, but I feel sour about that one, I think. The more you think about it. Like, wait, why don't they have hair? The more you think about it, you're like, um.
Starting point is 00:55:16 Yeah. Mint chocolate chip ice cream. You like it? Yes. That's one of my favorite ice cream flavors. Oh, really? Yes. I love that.
Starting point is 00:55:25 That's so good. I love ice cream. Having a sibling live with you after you get married. That's a question for you because I don't have a sibling. You're an only child? I am. Oh. I know.
Starting point is 00:55:37 Do you like it that way? Like, is it fun? No. No, it's fun. It's fine. I think I've adjusted to it. I have a lot of friends. That's good. It's good. That's good. My parents are nice. So we're good. But yeah, nope, it's literally just me. And I have no cousins that are like remotely close to my age. Like there's like 10 years up and 10 years down. Wow. So it's like literally. Yeah. Me. It's fine. It's fine. I'm not sour about it at all. Okay. Yeah. So if you get married and then having your sibling live with you. I like my sister. So sweet. I would let them do that. But like, they have to like be like doing something. Yes.
Starting point is 00:56:19 To get out. Yeah. Yeah. I agree. Like proactive about eventually not living with me. Yes. Yeah. Brushing your teeth before bed.
Starting point is 00:56:28 Sweet. I hope this person was not putting that in as a sour. Yeah. Belly button piercings. I'm. I'm indifferent about them. Yeah. At this point in time.
Starting point is 00:56:39 I feel like I definitely wouldn't look good with a belly button piercing, but there's definitely people who can rock it. Yeah. Yeah. I agree with that one. For myself, not for you. I agree. You really should get one.
Starting point is 00:56:49 I agree. You really should not get one girl. That's funny. Okay. I hate when people say the word breath. Breath. Breath. How ASMR can we say the word breath?
Starting point is 00:57:01 People are like, and unfollowing. Yeah. And I hate that. I don't mind it. Yeah. Yeah. I've never thought about it before. Super long nails.
Starting point is 00:57:11 For myself. No. Like this is as long as I can go. Same. but people who can do it. I do just wonder how they like wipe. I was just going to say wipe, literally. How?
Starting point is 00:57:23 Yeah. Or like, how do you like, I don't know. Like I have to put in contacts every morning. Oh. So I have to have short nails. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:30 Like, or else I would poke my eyeball out. Yeah. Yeah. Is that, was that scary the first time putting contacts in? Because I've never had to do that. Really?
Starting point is 00:57:37 I'm actually terrified for the day that I eventually will have to. Yeah. It's a little bit scary and it kind of hurts. Like they're not comfortable ever. Yeah. But you get used to it. Okay. Good to know.
Starting point is 00:57:47 Good to know. Wearing Hollister clothing. I feel like Old Me would have said sour, but I feel like Hallster has some cute stuff right now. Yeah. Like, don't they have cute jeans? Yeah. I think they do. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:58 I feel like they got a bad maybe or they're coming out of their bad rap because of like they just were such a trendy thing. Right. Yeah. It kind of fell for a second. Yeah. And I think they're cute. Pet accounts run by their humans, H-O-O. I have one of those.
Starting point is 00:58:14 You can give your honest answer. I won't be offended. I think it's sweet. Okay. Especially if your pet is cute. Yep. And I, they have one, but I have not posted on it in a very, very, very long time. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:58:26 Speaking in TikTok lingo during regular conversations. I mean, I'm like slightly guilty of it. Sour. If you make it your whole entire personality, it's a little bit sour. Yeah. But like, yeah, I think I agree with that. I don't think it's bad to like say a couple words. Like, I think it's funny.
Starting point is 00:58:43 Yeah. Like there's things I say that are TikTok, but I don't. make it my whole entire like vocabulary. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We got to broaden it still. Yeah. Frilly socks. I like frilly socks. Yeah, me too, especially with a good shoe. Yeah. Speaking of shoe, Crocs. If I could like emphasize this. I'm a crox. You love crox? Oh yeah. I'm a crox, Dan. Really? Yeah. I've never worn crox, really. I'm literally about to send you home with a pair of my crocs. They are life changing. No, I like actually love them. I think they're cute. Like, I think it's, It's cute when people wear them, but I've never, like, are they comfortable?
Starting point is 00:59:18 Oh, yeah. Oh, wow. I would wear them when I worked at the hospital. They have, like, ones that have, like, the fuzzy lining on the inside. And when I work night shift, I would wear them. Oh, that's actually really nice. Maybe I need to buy myself some crocs. You should.
Starting point is 00:59:29 Yeah, I should. They're comfy. I'm actually surprised. What do you wear, slides? Yeah, I wear slides. Or, like, do you know the Birkenstock clogs? Uh-huh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:38 Those ones. Yep. Farting. I mean, if it, if it doesn't smell. Yeah. I think it's honestly kind of cute, though, when, like, someone's comfortable with you and they fart. And then it's funny. I was just on a trip with my girlfriend and she was just like letting them rip. But I haven't heard of her before. I was like, okay. You're like, great.
Starting point is 00:59:58 Yeah. She's like, oh, she like farted and it was odd. And she was like, oh, I thought that was going to be an air one. Sorry. I was like, I love it. Like, great. Oh, my gosh. That is sunny. Wisconsin. Sweet. I've never been. I loved my one of my favorite cities on tour was Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Oh my gosh. And I was my expectations were down here when we pulled up. Yeah. But then I went out there and I was like, this city is so cute. Oh my gosh. Wait, I love that. Sweet. A mullet. Sweet. I like a mullet.
Starting point is 01:00:28 That's the Utah and you speaking. Yeah. It is. Okay. Milk before cereal. That's foul. Yeah. How? It's like, how do you, how do you know if you're not like, You have to have the cereal in there to know how much milk to do it. Yeah. Like you don't know. You're not going to know. Yeah. No.
Starting point is 01:00:47 You're not. Yeah, no. Listening to the new Taylor Swift album in order. Are you a Swifty? I, okay. I am a big fan of Taylor Swift, but people say I'm not a Swifty. Because I said one time that my favorite song was shake it off because it actually is. And then people like got mad at me and said, yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:08 But I'm like, that's actually one of my favorite songs. I feel like I would pick that song. for you though because it gives me your energy. Yeah, that's what I feel like too. But people were like, no Swift you would say shake it off is her favorite song. I'm like, okay, cool. You're like noted. Thank you. Yeah. Um, okay, let's see a couple more. Is it nice to his mom? Boy bye. You literally boy bye. Yeah. You better be a sweetheart. Yeah. Yeah. What about what if he calls his bum every day? You're not dating your mom. Yeah. That's a sour.
Starting point is 01:01:43 Yeah. Yeah. My mom's going to watch this and be like, oh. No, I love a good relationship with the parent. Like, I call my mom every day, but I'm also, I'm her last daughter. So, like, it makes sense. Yeah. Sleeping with socks on.
Starting point is 01:01:59 Honestly, I don't have a problem with it. I don't have a problem, but I can't. I have when I'm really cold one time. If Taylor's on in bed with me half the time, I will, because he's, like, really warm. so I just like put my toe on him and like warm up. That's cute. Literally I'll like, it's like I reach up and I'll like put a toe and he's like, hey, I'm like, I'm cold.
Starting point is 01:02:19 Yeah, you're like, please. Yeah, because it's freezing. Singing in the shower. Absolutely. Yes. I sound so good in the shower. Yeah. So good.
Starting point is 01:02:28 The acoustics in there and just the vibrations. It really gets going. If a guy can't dance. I don't think that's sour. Sweet. Yeah. As long as he accepts it, I think. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:45 Like if he's like on the dance floor and it's like owning not knowing what he's doing, then I love that. Yeah. If he like goes out there and he's like, I'm really good and you're like, yeah, that's sour. But like if you're just owning it, I think that's sweet. Yeah. I enjoy that.
Starting point is 01:02:58 Yeah. Hot dogs. I love hot dogs. I love hot dogs too. Yep. Letting dogs lick your face. Yeah. I don't think I want him look in my face.
Starting point is 01:03:10 No. Taylor lets them. literally just cover his face. And I'm like, no, I can't do that. Yeah, no. Okay. Last couple, roller coasters. Oh, really? I can't do them. Unless it's like Disneyland. No, I like literally pass out. Really? Uh-huh. Like, because you're scared or? Like my equilibrium. Something in my head. Oh, really? Oh, like you get really dizzy. Yeah. And I'll like get sick. Oh, scary. So I don't do it. But I can do. I can do Disneyland. Yeah. Disneyland is perfect. Which is just the perfect amount. Yeah. For me.
Starting point is 01:03:41 You can do like the flips and the things. Uh-huh. Have you been to Six Flags? Yes, I went one time, but I went at nighttime. And I couldn't see any of the roller coasters I was about to do. Like, I was just like going on them. And I had never like heard about like six five or six rides. And the next thing, you know, I'm like standing up and like spinning in whole different directions.
Starting point is 01:03:58 And it was actually terrifying. Like I don't recommend that. Like watch the ride before you go on it. Yeah. Oh, no. Yeah. That's a big, big pass. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:06 Chili on fruit. Ew. I can do. I like Taheen. on fruit. Chili though, like beef chili. I'm thinking they mean like, I think they mean like chili. Oh, like the spice.
Starting point is 01:04:20 Yeah. Oh, then that's good. I was literally just about to ask, do you have to heat in Utah? Yes. Is that like a common thing? We have grocery stores. Wow. What a concept.
Starting point is 01:04:32 No, we have to go out in the fields and get ourselves food every morning. Okay, I think we just add there. Oh my gosh. This has been so fun. This is really fun. Thanks for coming and hanging. We'll link Riley's socials below. And hopefully we'll see you on the next season of Dancing the Stars.
Starting point is 01:04:49 Yay. Let's meet on a festive. Woo!
