The Squeeze - Tay & Tay Lautner: Gratitude, Boundaries, and Fish Eyes

Episode Date: September 6, 2023

The Taylor Lautners are back for another jam-packed solo episode, kicking off with a Twilight-era Cit-rus Got Real about fish eyes (long story, stay tuned). Taylor takes a moment to talk abou...t Tay’s "Jimmy Darts" moment this week, which then leads your hosts to talk about the importance of gratitude. Tay opens up about her first EMDR session and the realization that she hasn’t yet processed what she went through in 2020. They also dive into your Tea Time with Tay questions, where they discuss their experience being long-distance, balancing quality and personal time together, and where they would go if they knew they wouldn’t be recognized. Lastly, they share what they’re most proud of one another for doing, one of which resulted in a $50,000 donation from Celsius to The Lemons Foundation... Thank you so much, Celsius! Starting point is 00:00:00 Auto-hue with Sunny Cars feels as if the children not be made. Giselsramble, sandboard. Actisvercere, verdwined. Vacanty can chaotic
Starting point is 00:00:10 but who zorgalose an auto-hurt says, Uno dos, no stress. No, no longer-verwachted costs, always full-ledgiverts. So, would auto-huees-on-sor-sonder-zor
Starting point is 00:00:21 go to your re-sadviseur or sunikars. When life gives you lemons, what do with them? Over here at the squeeze, we talk about it. Happy Wednesday, you lemon drops.
Starting point is 00:00:51 What, what? Welcome back to another Wednesday of the sweets. Oh, that's very drawn out, dramatic. She's just kind of looking at me, so I was going to keep drawing it out until you said something. No, this is all you, girlfriend. If you're new here, hi, we're the Taylor's. Taylor's Slauners. And we do have two dogs today.
Starting point is 00:01:16 We do have one that has been very camera shy the past few episodes. I would be this one. Wait. Oh. This one doesn't like to join usually. Lily is normally just asleep in one of her beds. Yep. She doesn't like to be disturbed.
Starting point is 00:01:32 No. But we said, Lily, today you're going to be a part of this. Yeah. We didn't really give her an option. She doesn't really want to be here right now. She kind of looks kind of, well, just the way you're like picking her up, she doesn't really look the copious. But you'll go get comfy again. You'll go get comfy.
Starting point is 00:01:49 Thank you, Lily, for being here. We are honored to have you in our presence. A lot of people ask where you've been. So we had to. You say I've been in the corner bedroom sleeping. Yeah, we had to show them that. You know, you're thriving. Lily's like our house cat for those of you that don't know.
Starting point is 00:02:06 She's literally a cat. Yes. She likes to sleep. Kind of just chills. Doesn't like to be bothered. It's not like to be bothered. And we have a Virginia coming up. Virginia.
Starting point is 00:02:18 People will be very confused why you just called her Virginia. Her middle name is Virginia. This is turning a show for nicknames for our dogs. I haven't been feeling like I should post more YouTube videos, though. I don't know if you guys would want that. Okay. You let me know when you go all that extra time. All that.
Starting point is 00:02:37 Because I don't have extra time. Yeah, you want to add something else to your plate? Yeah, I don't know. That's a great idea. I don't know. Yeah, you're right. Should we do it? Citrus got real. Can I pull it this? Yes. Citrus got real, everyone. Here we go. We're not
Starting point is 00:02:56 forgetting this week. I got to refill that. Yeah, we're getting low on our Citrus got real questions. So we need to do like. Well, I was going to say last time we were running a little low, we did a poll on the Instagram account. Yep. And you guys put questions there and that was really helpful. So you can either like leave a comment here or go. follow us at the squeeze on Instagram and just keep it out because we post we post polls or like question boxes. Okay. Often on our. Literally have like three papers left. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:26 Of citrus questions. But for now, what do we have? Weirdest thing you've ever eaten. Weirdest thing you've ever eaten. Okay. I've tried frog once. Yeah. You've got like frog legs.
Starting point is 00:03:43 See, I just kept the leg part out because I felt like the leg. I know. I know. I think I did once too, but I definitely blocked it out of my memory. I remember once, I'll give you a story here. I remember once we, it was for one of the Twilight films, we were on tour in Tokyo. Oh. And.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Wait, you've been there? To Tokyo. We were just talking about Japan. Yeah. Interesting. I really want to go to Japan. Sorry. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:20 Been to Tokyo. It was actually, it was for the first movie. Okay. Yeah, I was a little baby. But yeah, it was for the first one. We were in Tokyo. After the premiere, you like go out with the promoters or distributors of it locally there. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:04:38 And we went out to this amazing Japanese restaurant. Yeah. And I sat right next to like the president of the company. Good. And yeah, that was the first mistake. And because you, you were a picky eater back then. Like you definitely. At this point, I did not eat sushi, fish, anything.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Yeah. Very, very picky. Yeah. And we got served as like one of the courses, you know, like the whole fish, where it's like the whole fish is on your plate and it's got the eyeballs and it's got everything. And you panicked. Yeah, I was like, when are you touching that? And somebody like leans over to me and they're like, Taylor, like you're sitting next to the president. Like he would be very offended if you don't touch that.
Starting point is 00:05:26 I'm like, are you serious right now? And they're like, yeah, that's like culture. Oh, no. Yeah. So I had to force myself to eat at least a couple bites of this whole fish with eyeballs and stuff. I don't think I touched the eyeballs. Yeah, I would assume no. But you know me, like at that point, having any of that,
Starting point is 00:05:48 who is a nightmare. Oh, no. I don't even, I mean, I like fish, but that would honestly kind of, because you got to, like, pick around the bone there. Bones, I know. You don't like bones and things either. You get grossed out with, even if we're, like, having wings. I feel like you get grossed out sometimes with the bones.
Starting point is 00:06:04 Yeah, I can get in my head with, like, the weirdest things. And as soon as my head goes down the, wrong rabbit hole. I'm done. That was a good citrus got real. Yeah, we got some, we got some,
Starting point is 00:06:17 a couple little topics that I've had, you know, as Taylor taught me last episode, everyone has a notes section in their phone. Yes, everyone does. Check it out. Super cool.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Everyone has one, but I have been using my notes section for throughout the week, things that pop up to talk about. And I have a couple. And then we also have some tea time with day questions that you guys ask us to answer. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:40 So you have, You have like a little notes and list there. Okay, before we start with yours, can I, can I start with, I didn't even need to write it in my notes? I just got to jot it up, you know, right up here. I mean, I'm a little nervous about this one. No, you'll like it. Yeah, it's good for you. Well, you know, I don't like where this is going.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Last week, Tay shared a moment of undercover kindness in the world of, if we're talking in the world of Jimmy darts that I did in a parking lot. Yeah. Helping a beautiful woman get her 48 pack of water bottles up into her car. A beautiful older woman who was very frail and could not be able. The water bottles thought just some 10 out of 10, babe. She was 70. But hey, actually, this week, I wanted to share this with you guys because I don't know if she was planning on doing it.
Starting point is 00:07:40 I doubt she was, but she was getting her nails done the other day. And when she got home, she told me the story. And she was like a little bit emotional. And she actually, you actually used Jimmy Darts. You were like, I felt a little bit like Jimmy Darts today. I did, huh? Yeah. And I was like, oh, what did you do?
Starting point is 00:07:57 You were like, you overheard this, she, an older woman or? Yeah, this older lady was like sitting next to me. and she was like talking to her nail lady who this person she you can clearly tell has been her nail tech for years and years and years and was asking updates about life and whatever and she ended up telling her nail tech that her son had just been diagnosed with cancer her older like adult son yeah um i think it was like 30s around there like early 30s oh so you were really eavesdropping she was literally sitting right next to me copy so yes i was listening um but she was on the phone with her friend for a majority of it. Also, she was on speakerphone with her friend because she wasn't older than. On speaker phone the whole time. Yes. Sitting literally right next to me. She was, her and her friend were talking about how the next day they were planning this fundraiser to raise money for his medical bills because medical bills are expensive. Yeah. So yeah, that's what I overheard. So then you, how did you secretly pay for her nails if she was sitting right next to you?
Starting point is 00:09:07 Well, I finished before she did. And I got up and I went and told the... Oh, like at the front. Yeah. Yeah. I told the lady at the front or I asked the lady at the front if I could pay for her nail so she went over and got the little slip from the person doing her hands and toes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:24 And my nail tech came up to me after and she was like, do you know her? Because like we didn't talk at all. So I think Chloe, my nail girl was a little confused of like what I was doing. I was just like, no. I didn't know her. I was like, she was talking about her son having cancer. And she was like, oh, yeah, I heard that. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Yeah, and then I just left. I didn't, I didn't go up to her. I didn't say anything. Yeah. Well, that's, it was very sweet of you. And yeah, there's a lot of those undercover kindness moments and beautiful hearts in this world that we just don't see because there's not a camera attached to somebody's chest. Yeah. I mean, yeah, that does, that does ring me like to my next point of.
Starting point is 00:10:07 In that moment, I was like, wow, like, that's the least I can do for this woman who, you know, her son has just been diagnosed with cancer. And, like, you know, that turns people's worlds upside down. And I was like, literally the least I can do is pay for her nails. But, of course. But sometimes it does take just one small thing like that to turn somebody's weak around. Yeah. Like, and that's worth it in itself. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:35 Definitely turn their day around. like sometimes depending on the situation that can that can change you know somebody's week well yeah I mean not only theirs but also like mine when I was walking out of the nail salon I like got a little emotional because people always say that giving is like so giving and helping people does more for the person doing the action than the person receiving it for sure and I definitely felt that in that moment because I got emotional when I was walking to the car and that's when I texted you yeah that I felt like jimmy darts well done and whatever that woman's name is.
Starting point is 00:11:09 I know. I do kind of wish I got her name, but. Yeah. Thinking about you and thinking about your son. Yeah. So something as you guys know that has been a huge part of my mental health journey, Taylor's mental health journey journeys as individuals, and as a couple, has been therapy. Amen.

But that does make me think of my next point of I was feeling bad for her and it kind of made me realize, you know, how grateful I am for my health for all of these things I have in life. And I kind of had to tell myself that today.
Starting point is 00:13:30 Because in full transparency, I was not, I've been having a day and I was really not in the mood to come sit here and record this. But I kind of just had to take a moment with myself and be like, hey, not that it's bad to have a moment because everyone, you know, you always got to have a little bit of a moment. But I just took some time to be like, hey, I am, you know, I'm so blessed here. Just like kind of took a moment of gratitude of things that, you know, I'm blessed with in life, things that I'm grateful for. And also one of the biggest things is I'm so grateful that I get to do this podcast as like a job of mine.
Starting point is 00:14:09 You know, I get to sit here with my husband that I love and my two dogs and the comfort of my home and talk with all of you listening and get to, you know, interact with you guys. Even though I'm not face to face speaking with you right now, we get to see all of your emails, all of your comments, all of your messages. So I just kind of, I just had to, I just wanted to be transparent in that, you know, I'm sitting here. I'm very excited that we're filming this right now. But earlier today, I was like, me. Yeah, you just don't feel like it. Yeah. And I mean, thank you for sharing that with us.
Starting point is 00:14:40 All of us can relate to that. Yeah. Because it doesn't matter what it is, you know, what your day looks like, what your job looks like. We all have those days. And some of those days can, you know, be more often than not that you just wake up and you just aren't feeling it. Yeah. And just nothing. you know, seems, sounds exciting and you're just having to push yourself. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:08 Through your entire day and, you know, force yourself to get up and wake up and make your bed and just get the day started. Yeah. And yeah, it is important in those moments to try. You're not going to be able to do it all the time. But when you can to try and remind yourself, you know, how blessed you. really are, how we all really are, and just, you know, be grateful for this life that we've been given. We actually just did a taping today that you guys will see in a couple weeks. Yes, with a friend of ours that we adore. But he was telling us he's running a marathon and he's not a runner. But he explained us the story that he saw like on TikTok or something of this guy had, he was planning on running a marathon and ended
Starting point is 00:16:01 up losing his leg for some medical reason and ended up not being able to run the marathon. And his friend ended up running the marathon for him. His friend was on a runner. But, you know, his friend was like, I have, I have both of my legs. I can run. And our friend who was, I guess, in a couple weeks was, you know, telling us that's kind of like his mentality going through all of this. So even the littlest things like that, just taking a moment to.
Starting point is 00:16:31 You know, be grateful. There's a lot. If you look deep enough, you can find a lot to be grateful for. It can be annoying sometimes. If you're just having one of those days and you're like, I don't want to do it. And I will find myself being like just in a pissy mood and not wanting to do it. I make myself, you know, think of or write down a couple of things that I'm grateful for, whether, you know, I could be really sick.
Starting point is 00:16:58 But, you know, I think, well, I have a lily thankful. I have the water to drink. Like this silliest little things. Yeah. I don't know if this is scientifically proven, but I would think that it's somewhat healthy to set aside, you know, some time to just be pissed off and just get it out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:16 Right? I feel like sometimes you just got to get it out. Yeah. So, yeah, I definitely know that it's annoying, you know, sometimes hearing, well, look at the positive. Yeah. It's like, yeah, I get it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:29 Just let me be pissed for a sec. Yeah. You're pissed, but don't let it be too long. Yeah. Don't let it ruin everything. Okay. My next little point that I had was I officially had my first EMDR session. I've been seeing the therapist and we have been prepping.
Starting point is 00:17:49 But I guess she's new. So I've just been filling her in on life. Yeah. The first few sessions definitely require some like catching up. Yeah. You got to know the person. to know the person, them understanding your story before you like full on dive into the EMDR. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:07 And because I'm on Zoom with my therapist, so you can do EMDR like with your eyes or there's this thing where you like cross your hands like over your chest and like make an X and you like tap like right underneath your collarbone. Mm-hmm. And that's what we do. And, you know, a very large thing that we're focusing on is me working at Thuruk. COVID in a lot of the, a lot of my PTSD from that that I haven't fully processed. So that's a big thing that we're focusing on in this.
Starting point is 00:18:41 And it's kind of crazy because like, you know, I'm sitting there and I'm like doing my first set of tapping and like tap for like, I don't even know how long, like a minute or two. And then you like, and then you like take a breath and she was like, okay, what do you feel? And I'm like, like, you did that like seven, eight, nine times. Yeah. The tapping, she's like, what do you feel? Did I think come up? And then take a breath and then you go back into it.
Starting point is 00:19:04 You do that a few times. So after the first time, even maybe the second, I was like literally just sitting in there like crickets. I was like, what the frick of my supposed to be doing right now? This is kind of weird. So focused on like the tapping. My arms got sore at first because how I was sitting. So I was like trying to figure out like what to do, how to sit.
Starting point is 00:19:25 And you're like thinking of like this one moment. Like, you, like, paint a picture of, like, a moment. You have, like, a newspaper article. Like, you have a photo. You have a headline. You have, like, the subject line. So that's what, like, what you're thinking of when you're doing this. And by the, like, fifth or sixth time, I actually started crying, which I was, like, really confused by.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Because I was like, oh, like, I act. Like, it made me realize in that moment I actually, like, haven't processed what I went through. Yeah. I mean, just the fact that you got to that point shows exactly what the point of EMDR is. Yeah. And the point is like when I went into it, like, it's unresolved trauma, right? Yeah. Yeah. And it brings. So like the big question is like, what effect is that event having on your life? Like how is it impacting? How much is it negatively impacting your everyday, like day to day life? Yeah. And I think I started it. I was like, I don't know, maybe like a full. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Like, I mean, I don't think it's impacted me at all, but maybe it is. And then during that, I started crying and I was like, oh, my gosh, it feels like an eight again. Like, I literally feel like I just got home from the hospital and I'm feeling like all that stuff again. And the point of it is, you know, we do this over time. And it's to re rewire your brain to kind of just not absorb the event. But basically get that number down to a zero to a one to it, not, you know, having that negative pull. on you. But before being able to get that number down to a, you know, a zero or a one, you have to bring it to the surface. Because for those of us that, um, you know, like pushing things
Starting point is 00:21:16 under the rug. Oh, I'll raise me with you on that one. A lot of us can raise our hand for that. Um, and just not think about something, um, or not, yeah, choose to not think about something. Um, it makes you deal with it, which, you know, doesn't sound fun, isn't fun, but in the long run is very important. And in order to, you know, be able to resolve those feelings, it has to come up before it can go down in a way. It just can't, you know, be pushed under the rug and never dealt with. Yeah. And reprocessing it, you know, in a safe environment where, you know, I'm able to like talk through. in a healthy way.
Starting point is 00:22:00 All of these things, you know, with my therapist and her. Like, it's, it feels, obviously, it's hard to go through those things again, but I feel so safe doing it. Which obviously, like, in the moment of everything, I didn't feel safe at all, which is the whole reason I'm doing this, doing therapy, EMDR specifically. So, but yeah, I was really excited to share with you guys about that because, you know, we've heard like quite a, a few of our guests talk about it. It's like, you know, a thing that's going on. I feel like a lot of people don't really share about it. And I am sharing my deepest thoughts and secrets with you guys.
Starting point is 00:22:40 I don't know why. Maybe because I am just in the comfort of my home. And in the comfort of your lemon drops. In the comfort of my lemon drops. That's very true. So I hope that's, like, helpful for you guys. If you're, like, interested in EMDR or anything, you should, if you have a therapist, you should ask them, ask a friend.
Starting point is 00:22:59 because it's, I'm excited to see where this goes. My friends that have done it, I've heard amazing things about it. Yeah. So it's definitely going to be a bit of a process and not going to be like the most fun. But that ties back to what we talked to last time. But it's kind of like, no, it's not the most fun in the moment. Yeah. But it's kind of like the same thing when you go to the gym.
Starting point is 00:23:24 Yeah. So true. You know, you're not excited going to the gym. Yeah. And even being at the gym isn't, you know, the most fun. Yeah. But the second you walk out of those doors and you're like driving back home or onto your next like thing for the day, you feel accomplished and you feel, you know, just so fresh and ready to take on the day. And I feel like it's that same thing.
Starting point is 00:23:50 Yeah. It may not be fun in the moment. But when you're done, you're like, wow, I'm, I'm bettering myself. and yeah yeah it's good yeah so that was helpful we have some tea time and take questions from you guys uh if you want to submit a question you can email us at lowner dot this squeeze podcast at gmail.com or again you can follow us on instagram we have question boxes all the time we have to do we like to do them like once or twice a week and that's how we get um questions questions from you guys or we'll do them on our stories sometimes too yeah last
Starting point is 00:24:33 week or last episode you, that's what you did. But I pulled some from our stock of questions that you guys asked. Tea time, tea time, tea time, tea time with Tay. Should have like a little like, like a fun sparkly sound over that or something. Okay. I know somebody. Okay. Yeah, I got five questions here for us.
Starting point is 00:24:57 First one is, have we ever had to be long distance and how did you manage to get through it? This is us. This is us. Our relationships started with long distance. Yeah. For those of you that don't know, Boisei and I basically, I don't even want to really use the word dated. We talked, got to know each other. We met and, you know, hung out a few times.
Starting point is 00:25:21 I don't think we became, like, romantic until right before. No, we hung out as friends, like, three times and then not more, yeah, knowing that there was a romantic. Interest other than friendship was literally two weeks. Yeah. And then I was off to London to shoot a TV show, Cuckoo for my Cuckoo Watchers. And I was going to be there for, you know, two and a half months. And it was like, all right, this is interesting. We're just, just starting, you know, a relationship of some sorts.
Starting point is 00:26:02 don't even know what it is. We weren't boyfriend or girlfriend by any means. Yeah. And yeah, we just dove into it. But we talk all the time about how we thought that that was a perfect way to get to know each other because we just had nothing other to do than communicate and be on the phone, be on FaceTime. Yeah, well, I mean, not only was there a time difference, but like you were on a weird filming schedule and I also had just started nursing school.
Starting point is 00:26:29 Yeah. So it wasn't like we had just like free time off. the time. We were both like working, doing school and working. Aside from being eight or nine hours apart time wise. Yeah. But it's, yeah, it's something that I'm so thankful for, which is kind of crazy. Because when, you know, when you came back home, I felt like we had, it felt like we had been dating for like six months to a year, like by the time you came home. Like I knew, I knew you on such a deep level. I was going to say intimate level, but there was no intimacy because we weren't together. But I knew, I knew like your heart and I felt like I knew so many parts of you that if we were in person,
Starting point is 00:27:08 you know, I maybe wouldn't have learned about you until way down the line. I don't know how to describe it because like why couldn't you have those same conversations in person? Like, why did it take? I mean, I think you can, but I think when, you know, you're interested in someone and your long distance, you like, again, the word intimate, you're striving to have like that deep intimate connection with someone. Like you, you want to know that person more. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:35 You know, so you're asking more deep questions. And also there isn't the physical element. Yeah. No, exactly. It wasn't fun by any means, but it didn't exist. No. So you just had to get to know each other's hearts. It's had to talk.
Starting point is 00:27:52 Yeah. We just had to talk. I'm very thankful for it, though. Do you think we could do it now? No. No. What's the longest thing we can do long distance for? What happens in work starts back up for you?
Starting point is 00:28:09 You put a podcast studio into my trailer? Yeah, I think a week sounds about tops. Oh. Wow. What? You're craving to go two and a half months again? Definitely not. Next question.
Starting point is 00:28:25 I'm covering my laptop. I was getting situated. You're just staring at me. Next question is, how do you balance quality time in your personal time in a relationship? You're all about personal time, so I'll let you take this one. No, I think actually where this one comes into play specifically is when you live with your partner. Because I think separating that time when you're not living with your partner is a lot easier. You go back to your home.
Starting point is 00:28:57 They have their home. you know, you're not coexisting. I don't even know if like we have the answer to that because that is, that is something that I feel like we can get better at is being more direct with direct, direct with our quality time because we spend so much time together. You know, I work from home, your home right now. We literally, we do this together. We do everything.
Starting point is 00:29:24 Yeah. Pretty much together. Yeah. I think it's something that you have to be in. intentional about, not just like assume that spending time together just because you live together is quality time. Yeah, no, there's definitely big, a big difference between that. But I mean, same on the other end is personal time, like making sure, you know, if you feel like you need, I mean, I think everyone needs their own personal time, whether you feel like you need a break from
Starting point is 00:29:54 your partner or not. I think having personal time is good because you also. are like, oh, I want to go hang out with them again or whatever it is. And I also need, I need personal time to like organize my brain. That's really important to me. Yeah, don't want you having a messy brain. No. We do not want me having a messy brain. But, yeah, hopefully I'll answer that question.
Starting point is 00:30:17 Yeah. I think it is. I was just, the whole time I was thinking, I don't know why I'm just noticing it now, but how cool you look in that sweatshirt. What? I like cool. Yeah. Sorry, I keep kind of, I feel like I need my inhaler.
Starting point is 00:30:31 Yeah, what is it going on? I don't think I do. Okay. I'm just sitting here. I don't think you know. You let us know if that changes. Okay, I let you guys know. Our lemon drops will be more than happy to not have you.
Starting point is 00:30:43 We literally pause the episode for me to have my inhaler. No, I'm fine. Okay. We got through more questions. I can get through that. Next question. What was it like for Girl Tate to work during 2020? lockdown and how did it affect your relationship?
Starting point is 00:30:59 Very large question. I think we should just do an entire episode on that time period of our lives because that would probably be enough to take up that episode or take up a whole episode. Yeah. But looking back on it now, because I'm painfully optimistic as you listening have probably learned, I am thankful for it because everyone says your first year marriage is very hard. blah, blah, blah. It's the hardest thing. I feel like because of having to go through such heavy stuff of me working and then, you know, us not, us living together, but never seeing
Starting point is 00:31:40 each other because of me working nights and then you were busy doing, doing stuff during the day. And having that time period, I feel like we learned a lot about communication and learned about, you know, our love languages are like this, that, and the other. I feel like that time was a very, it was very much a growth period of time for us. Yeah. I think, yeah. Yeah. It wasn't necessarily fun in a moment.
Starting point is 00:32:09 But yeah, I do agree with you that it probably helped with our like first year of marriage and definitely helped with our communication, which I think is, you know, maybe the most important thing. in a relationship. Yeah. So yeah, yeah. But I do think it would be a good idea. I think we would have a lot to talk about to just do an episode talking about 2020 for us.
Starting point is 00:32:34 Yeah. And what that looked like, especially with one of us being a nighttime COVID nurse. Yeah. Yeah, maybe let's do it. Let's do an episode for that. If you guys want to leave us questions. Or something if you think that sounds like a good idea. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:50 Or questions. You have that we can throw on there. Okay. Next one is, and this one is interesting because I don't know if I have an answer. Okay. Or I've never thought about it. If you could go anywhere for a day and not get noticed, where would you go? I'll say this one quickly because it doesn't require much thought.
Starting point is 00:33:08 I love amusement theme parks, and we haven't been to one. Yeah. Ever? Maybe once at the beginning of our relationship. So legit in like five years. And I love theme parks. but they are kind of tricky to go to. So I'll say that, but that's just kind of a silly one because I miss theme parks.
Starting point is 00:33:30 I mean, that's a real one. Yeah, I know. I know. I know. I know. I don't think this is a really good answer because it's not like I want to go there. No, then that wouldn't really work for this. I was going to say an airport.
Starting point is 00:33:43 Yeah. Do you want to go chill at an airport? I don't. But I would like to sit in 24B, gate 24B. Yep. That sounds super fun. Maybe the grocery store. You want to go to the grocery store without being noticed?
Starting point is 00:33:59 Yeah, because I choose comfort over Hot Girl Summer in my style. In my wardrobe. Yeah. If you guys watching have not been able to tell. And there tends to be, you know, a paparazzi posted up there and catches me in my crocs and socks and basketball short. Aggie t-shirt. Yeah. So that would probably maybe
Starting point is 00:34:25 Or it's fashion now. I mean, anything's fashion. Maybe I just go with it. Yeah, it's a good one. I guess I'll stick with my theme park one because I can't think of another answer right now. No, that's a good answer. I feel like that's applicable to you.
Starting point is 00:34:39 Okay. That's good. What is something you are most proud of the other for doing? For doing? Mm-hmm. Can I go? Sure. Mine would be just recent because this is, it popped into my head because it just happened.
Starting point is 00:34:55 So if you guys follow us, you saw that recently Boite played in a little pickleball charity tournament that, you know, he wanted to do because he was going to be partners with his friend and he loves pickleball. But he was definitely, you know, a little apprehensive to it because of it was a big. social influencer event and um boy take a lot of people like it's definitely something you go to you know that you're yeah seeing at yeah and um boy take it's a little bit of like social anxiety around things like that and he ended up going to it we went together and leading up to it there was definitely a couple moments where you thought about was like uh i don't know Yeah, like thinking about what I could do to back out of it just because I just had, you know, some moments. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:56 But we're there and he's, you know, he's playing and I'm sitting watching him and I'm like, oh my gosh. Like I am just so proud of Taylor for doing this because, you know, this is something that he would never do. And, you know, he did it. And then another charing off top, you know, I'm sitting there. I'm just so proud of you for doing it. And then all of a sudden and I hear the, um, the announcer. guy say that there's going to be whoever wins this tournament at this charity tournament, which I knew it was, but I didn't really know what it entailed, was going to get 50 grand.
Starting point is 00:36:30 $50,000 to their charity of their choice. And I heard that. And I was like, oh, oh, well, this is interesting. Well, I'm very proud of Taylor for being here, one, regardless of this. But if he does win, then that would mean that we could get a donation to the Lemon's Foundation, our nonprofit. Yeah. So then that was when I was like, oh, well, now I'm really excited that he's here.
Starting point is 00:36:54 And, you know, it would be split, 25 and 25 because there's two players. And Taylor and his partner, David Dobrick, who is a lovely, lovely, lovely human. David ended up donating his half to lemons as well. So the boys won. And Celsius donated 50 grand to the Lemon's Foundation, to the Lemon's Foundation, which is just, crazy in itself. I cried. If the people that were there, I was jumping up and down and there was people probably like, why is she so excited?
Starting point is 00:37:25 Why do you care so much that her husband won a stupid pickleball tournament? Yeah, but you guys listening now how much, you know, the squeeze, lemons my te, my foundation, how much all this stuff means to me. And that's literally my child. So I was just so excited and just so proud that, you know, like Taylor put himself out there and contemplated not doing it. And, you know, he was like, you know, I'm going to do it and did it. And look what ended up happening, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:52 It's just, it's so crazy. Put yourself out there a little more sometimes. Yeah. So I'm very proud of you. Thank you, babe. For doing that. Yeah. We've been, we've been on a high ever since then because that was a massive, extremely
Starting point is 00:38:06 helpful donation by Celsius and an unbelievable gesture by David Dobrick. And just going to, you know, help so many. lives. So we're just so thankful for that. Yeah, for sure. Okay. I'll finish with, I'll finish with my thing for you. I kind of stopped thinking about it. So I'll just go with the first thing that jumped to my head when you originally asked the question. And that would be how proud I am of you over the years since I've known you. stepping into feeling comfortable and confident enough to stand up for yourself. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:39:01 Yeah, like I think, you know, when we met five and a half, you know, years ago, you weren't so much like that. Not at all. Yeah. And now I just think you're unbelievably strong and still being the moment. most caring, loving, human possible, you also don't mess with. Like, you're going to, like, you're going to stand up for yourself. You're going to stand up for, you know, somebody that you love and care about. And I've just seen that growth in you throughout the years. And I think
Starting point is 00:39:37 it's super admirable. And it's just great that you can have both of those sides be so soft and caring, um, yet strong and, um, yeah. That's so sweet. Hmm. That's true. She, she's learned what a boundary is. I will say that. Yeah, boundaries are important.
Starting point is 00:40:00 I've learned to set boundaries. And yeah, I think I've just kind of, I think a large factor of that is you in our relationship and, you know, feeling safe and respected and being able to be myself. So, yeah. Thank you, hon. Way to go. We should end each episode with this because now that's nice. I can't wait to give you a hug after when I stand up.
