Starting point is 00:00:00 Auto-hue with Sunny Cars feels as if the children Not me be seen. Kiselstramble. Zandvo. Actis forqueer. Verdwine. Vacanty can chaotic
Starting point is 00:00:10 but who zorgalose an auto-hurt says, Uno dos no stress. No own-verwashed to cost. Always full-ledged. So, auto-huees-on-sor-sonder-zorgue. Go to your reis-adviseer
Starting point is 00:00:23 or sunnycars. Literally, every single person thought I was pregnant. This is a first. Oh boy. I finally went to the gynecologist. We're in the clear. You got a lot of eggs.
Starting point is 00:00:36 Got a lot of eggs. Does that mean we're getting to work? That got me nervous. I made me sweaty. We have a new date night. Technically, do it every night. I think a lot of people do this. But we did together in it. We watched the Harry Potter franchise.
Starting point is 00:00:51 We sat down and each night we watched a different movie. Wake it. After we finished the Harry Potter franchise, we were trying to find another franchise. So I landed on the Twilight series. I heard of it. Once or twice. It's been tough for me to watch them. You just tend to critique yourself and just, you know, just be hard on yourself.
Starting point is 00:01:12 I was a little nervous to watch it, but I'm happy to report. I loved it just as much. You still have the same opinion about what team you're on or did that, like, change at all? Or still the same? Hello, lemon drops. Happy Wednesday. Happy Wednesday. This is...
Starting point is 00:01:49 I just yelled, sorry. This is a first in quite some time. In quite some time. Yeah. It's not a first. In quite... Yeah. It is a first.
Starting point is 00:01:59 The first of the year. It is definitely the first of the year. And it's the first in way too long, that's for sure. Since July. That's crazy. We were just talking about this before we started and that... It's unacceptable. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:13 I don't know how we let ourselves do that. We just had so many amazing guests that we... had to highlight and share. Yeah, sure. I guess so. But I think we need to put more of an effort into doing these every so often. Well, I had posted on my story, which you guys debunked my imposter syndrome, because I don't know. I was just like, why would people like want to listen to me talk, like just me?
Starting point is 00:02:39 Not you? Just me. Or, yeah, like, I would feel like people would want to guest more than like me just blabbing. Okay. And according to my Instagram story and you guys voting, I was apparently wrong. So. What was that percentage like? It was I was like 70, 30, if not more.
Starting point is 00:02:58 I mean, honestly, who is voting when you put that on your Instagram story? Who's taking the time to go, no, wouldn't like to listen to you? People did. People did. Apparently. I mean, I guess I haven't listened. That is concerning. I didn't think about that. I mean, if 30% said no, I don't want to listen to.
Starting point is 00:03:18 80, 20, but I have to go back and look. I don't have my phone on it. Well, really apologize to anybody listening or watching right now that voted no to that. Yeah, sorry. You're stuck with us. Yes. Have fun. Yes, you're stuck.
Starting point is 00:03:32 Have fun. A little reminder, there are so many of you guys that are new. Please follow or subscribe however you are listening or watching us right now. If you're watching us, you will see that we have a special guests in here that does not often join us. And we get a lot of questions asking where she is. We have Lillian sitting in the chair asleep next to Boite. Yeah, that's an honor. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:58 You guys really have pinned us that we're, we don't love Lily or that she's just always not there. And Remy is the star. And that's because Remy loves attention. And Remy just follows us everywhere. And Lily honestly could like care less. So. Yeah. Remy is attached to our hip 24-7.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Can't let us go anywhere without her. Lily is like, honestly, leave me alone. Yeah. I want to be in the corner bedroom sleeping. Yeah. Don't mess with me. Yeah. But she's here because she missed you guys.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Should we start with a Citrus Got Real? Probably should. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Do you want to pull one? And then maybe I'll do one too. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:41 Well, here we go. Citrus got real. Can you give me a drum. roll please. Thank you. If your personality were a U.S. state, which state would you be? Oh, boy, I almost just embarrassed myself. I almost literally went Miami.
Starting point is 00:05:10 That's not a state, Taylor. Huh. If your personality were a U.S. state, you know what? Yours would be? I love that I'm answering this for you. I'm about to be offended. No, you'll be okay with it. What?
Starting point is 00:05:25 It probably would be like Minnesota because you're cold all the time. Not cold-hearted. Just don't want to clarify that. I was literally like, excuse me? You're cold. I am cold. All the time. Yeah, my hands are in our cold.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Right now you're cold. Yeah. So I'm like, isn't Minnesota the coldest state? Like, what's the coldest state? I don't, I don't know how I feel about that one. Okay. I understand on an external. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:51 An external perspective. Internally, man, you are hot. I'm, I'm. You are, yeah, you are summer Texas. Summer Nevada, desert, hot. Yeah. I don't, I don't really know. I don't, my first instinct was to go like Wisconsin or somewhere.
Starting point is 00:06:12 What, what would the, uh, I would go Wisconsin because I love cheese. Oh, I did too. There are goat cheese. Huh. I love regular cheese. Ooh, I know one. What? Maine.
Starting point is 00:06:24 Why? Because I'm the main character. Oh. Okay. Not really. Okay. That's more of you. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Yeah. I'll go Michigan. Okay. That sense. I'm not really, like, California. What's a state that, like, is a helper? A state that is a helper. Because I'm, like, a two on the enneagram.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Uh-huh. Um, I mean, Idaho makes great potatoes for us all to enjoy. I love a good potato. Okay. I'm Idaho. I like Idaho. I'll like Idaho. Okay. I'll be Idaho.
Starting point is 00:06:54 Love it. Love it. Okay, let me pull one. Here's your drum roll. This one's really small. Our sauces, this is why it took me a second to read it. Are sauces seasoning for food? Do you dip your...
Starting point is 00:07:14 No, that's not a seasoning. No. Sources are sauces and they add flavor. Sources are sauces and seasonings are seasoning. But sauces are not seasoning. Yeah, I would. Yeah. Yeah, I feel like a seasoning is like a before thing. And then like a sauce is like an app, like once the meal is done. Yeah. I mean, you can add seasoning after. Like, you know, if you're plating something, you can put, you know, I mean, salt is a seasoning. Right. So you can put salt and pepper on afterwards. But yeah. The sauce is not a seasoning. Yeah. I would say those are two very different things.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Okay. Two great things. Fair enough. I love sauce. You love sauce. I love seasoning. Look at us. The perfect pair. Yeah. Okay. Should we dive into this episode? Yeah. Let's dive into the episode.
Starting point is 00:08:04 I think before we jump into fun life updates and everything, we should address the fires that our area experienced a couple weeks ago. Just absolutely devastating. We didn't talk too much about our status, our personal status of it online. Um, thankfully we were safe. Um, there was a couple. I mean, it's, it's concerning. Like, it, it was scary. Yeah. Um, it's scary no matter what when anywhere near you is experiencing something like that. Especially because they were just, they just kept popping up. Yeah. All over. Because of the extreme winds, it's like an ember can take off and, you know, start a new fire. Yeah. And it's just, it just, just was so unpredictable and it felt like there for the first you know three four or five nights there were multiple new fires being started every day yeah so it it was scary and i mean honestly this is no complaints from us we are so blessed in this situation but for us the biggest thing is our power was shut off for a while and we kind of had to um i don't want to say evacuate but we were
Starting point is 00:09:26 forced to leave and and find a place to stay that had power because we don't have cell phone service where we live. So we just were like off the grid. Yeah, which was scary because with all the fires popping up, we needed to, you know, get updates. Know if there was something that we were in danger in. Yeah. We, no, we were lucky. Most of our close friends and family were good, but we do certainly know a lot of people that did lose their homes and it seems like we're still finding out more and more people that were affected seriously by it by the day so it's just absolutely devastating sending our thoughts and prayers and condolences to anybody affected by the fires yeah this month's proceeds to the lemons foundation will go directly to yeah 100% of everything donated um
Starting point is 00:10:25 This month is being donated to fire relief because it's just, it's just so heartbreaking. I've lived here my whole life and I've never seen anything ever happened like this before. Yeah, definitely not. Yeah. But with that being said, I think we should transition into some life updates. Okay. Since it's been a minute since we've been on here. And I keep like a little notes section in my phone.
Starting point is 00:10:54 and I'm just like, as life goes on, I always like write little things if we hear something, if we go through something. I'm always like, oh, I want to talk about this because I feel like the lemon drops would just absolutely love to hear it. Before we get into that, I feel like you should address, why are your nails that color? Because, man, are they blinding? Guys, I never pay my nails. Like a color.
Starting point is 00:11:18 And they're like really a color. I mean, well, I did it for the lions. Yes. And hopefully by the time this episode comes out, they've won to, hopefully by the time we're going to the Super Bowl. Yeah. If not, then this is a very sad moment right now. And hopefully when you're watching this, I'm still sitting here with Blue Nails because we're going to the Super Bowl. We're in the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Let's go. If not, I'll probably, I'll probably have seen it. But sorry if I'm blending anyone that's watching this. Yeah, I never get, I never get color on my nails and I don't know how I feel about it, but I'm doing the Honolulu Blue. Pur's up. Okay. So one of my goals for last year, which I actually think I'm going to do again this year because I feel like I felt very accomplished after doing it and it's something that's easy. One of my personal goals was to complete a 30-day challenge, like whatever that was, if that was, you know, going on a walk every day, taking my vitamins, journal it, whatever
Starting point is 00:12:15 that looked like. For me, I decided to not drink for 30 days. And I, I, I decided to, I feel like I did that at a time when life was like really stressful and I felt like I would have been like, oh, I need a glass of wine or something. But after like, I feel like the first week, it was very easy to do. I mean, granted, I'm not a big drinker anyways, but especially when you're like, the flip side of that, though, is when you're doing the challenge, you're like, oh, like I actually want to drink. Like you want it more because you think about it more. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. But when I was doing this, you know, we go, you know, we hang out with friends all the time.
Starting point is 00:12:57 We'll go out to dinner with like events, whatever. And I just like wasn't drinking. I was like, oh, no, I'm okay. And I literally every single person that I said, like said no and turn a drink down to thought I was pregnant. Yeah. Like literally every single person. Yeah. I don't think one person was like, oh, okay, great.
Starting point is 00:13:18 And just like moved right on. Yeah. It was we literally could feel the eyeballs. Yeah. Just being like, oh. Our friends would stutter. People would literally be like, just like snap their head and be like. It would start acting weird.
Starting point is 00:13:30 Yeah. We'd be like, I think I know what you're thinking. It's a no. Yeah. Well, the first couple ones I feel like caught me off guard because I didn't even think about it. Right. I didn't think that someone would think that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:40 It took a few times for us to realize, oh, this is a pattern. Yeah. This is the first thing that people think about. We were out to lunch with Mar and Rye. And I turned down. a drink and Ryan was very confused and was stuttering. And that's when I was like, oh, they think I'm pregnant. They think we're going to lunch and I'm about to tell them I'm pregnant.
Starting point is 00:14:00 Sorry, I was not pregnant. But I just thought that was really interesting. And for someone who is, you know, sober or is on their journey of sobriety, I feel like that would be hard. Like there was times where I was like, oh, I'm actually just going to like drink at this event because I don't want people thinking I'm pregnant and like having to have that whole conversation. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:27 Like it's just crazy that that is the first thought of someone isn't drinking that they think that they're pregnant. Yeah. I'm sure Dr. Raymond would have something to say about that. Yeah. He definitely would. But I just thought it gave me a different outlook on on sobriety and, you know, people
Starting point is 00:14:42 who are even just trying to not drink because that's never happened to me before. But I 10 out of 10 recommend it. I ended up doing it for like three months. Isn't that long? Yeah. Really? Almost, yeah. Wow.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Yeah, it was just under three months. I loved it. And once you do it a little bit, it's, for me, it was very easy to just, oh, I'm going to get a spray. I got so many Sharia temples at dinner. It was great. But we also, I feel like we're eating at home a little bit more, too, which definitely, like, made it easier. But, yeah. But, no, it is, it is interesting.
Starting point is 00:15:17 Yeah. You know, it's like, you know, and this is what, like, Dr. Raymond and a lot of people speak towards is how normalized it has become. Yeah. You know, if you go out to dinner or you're at an event or at a friend's house and you're offered alcohol and you turn it down for whatever reason. Yeah. It's the first thought is not, oh, all good. Yeah. It's, oh, why?
Starting point is 00:15:45 Yeah. Like, what is the why? for us it was they thought we were pregnant yeah you were pregnant yeah yeah so yeah it's interesting what to recommend a third-day challenge also gave me some insight into when I am pregnant um I'm gonna need to I'm gonna need to learn how to lie or something because I got really uncomfortable from people asking me right or from like tipping people off yeah and you weren't yeah imagine I was so uncomfortable and I wasn't even pregnant yeah oh boy um speaking of You're getting you some acting classes.
Starting point is 00:16:16 Oh, well, maybe you can teach me. Okay. I know a guy. Can you imagine? No, I can't. So we're not doing it. You're not going to be by acting coach? No.
Starting point is 00:16:27 Why not? Because. We can print out monologues and I'll read them to you. Oh, boy. Okay. Yeah. You would crawl in a hole and die. Yeah.

Well, speaking of pregnant, uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:21:51 You lady lemon drops. Um, I finally went to the gynecologist. Woo. Um, a few months back, um, we had Mary Hollis and Dr. Aon from she MD podcast and we talked a lot about PCOS and amitriosis,
Starting point is 00:22:08 all of women's health things. Um, and so I ended up, going to see Dr. A because when I was talking with her, she on the podcast, she was a little concerned for me because I've been on birth control for 10 years and never taken a break and she was like, you could like not have any eggs right now. And she was very concerned for my reproductive health. But I ended up going in last month. She is the absolute best. I am truly obsessed with her. I love her so much. But.
Starting point is 00:22:43 We're in the clear. I got a lot of eggs. You got a lot of eggs. I got a lot of eggs. So we're in the clear. Does that mean we're getting to work? No, not yet. That got me nervous.
Starting point is 00:22:58 I made me sweaty. We could if we wanted to. We could. If we wanted to. That's the good news. Very blessed. Your stuff is fine? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:08 You never know. Great. Now it's my turn. Yay. You never know. So that gave me a lot of peace of mind because I was definitely like a little nervous because she was concerned. And truthfully, by the grace of God, there's a lot of upset. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:25 We're good. Understandable. That's something that a lot of women like develop a fear over or stress about quite a bit. I literally since a child have feared that I could not have babies. Yeah. Like that's always been a constant thought, especially because I'm an only child. Like, I'm always like, oh, well, like, what if my mom could have only had one? Like, you know?
Starting point is 00:23:53 Right. I've always just, I think that's just a thought I put in my head as a child. And then it just grew with me as I got older. But, oh, I think a lot of women struggle with that because, you know, it's always our fault. If, like, you can't get pregnant, like, that's on us, quote unquote. Yeah. I know. When are you supposed to start going to a gynecologist?
Starting point is 00:24:19 Or is that that's what Dr. A is? Yeah. When are you supposed to start going to, you know, check on these things? I believe that's actually a really good question. I don't know if it's, I don't know if it's when, I believe it's sometime after you get your period to like make sure everything is okay and or when you're sexually active. But that's not the case because of someone isn't sexually active until they're like. you know 30 like a freaking a nun or something someone that you know you still need to go but no I would say like 18 would probably be wow a time you should go I didn't go right away because I was
Starting point is 00:24:55 scared I didn't go until I was like 20 20 21 I wouldn't know yeah well you wouldn't know we started dating when I was 20 oh yeah when the heck did you I know I can't I can't I can't remember. I haven't. Now I'm getting in a good routine. But the thing is with with finding a good OBGYN, like, well, the thing is you have to find a good one. Like someone like Taise that is, you know, actively is looking at your eight count is, you know, checking all of these things and all of these underlying, you know, checking your blood and stuff. Most of the time you go, they swab, they swab you. Then you're like, okay, you're good, bye. And they don't like, they don't check to see what birth control you're on.
Starting point is 00:25:45 Like they don't, they don't look at you as a whole. Finding somebody that truly cares. Yes. Yeah. So that's just doing their job. Yeah. Yeah. That's the, that's the problem with women's health, Taylor.
Starting point is 00:25:58 Yeah. That is the problem. I feel you. Dr. A is fixing that though. She's changing it. Um, okay. Something that I, this is actually something that I heard at dinner and I immediately pulled my phone out. You wrote it in your notes?
Starting point is 00:26:11 Uh-huh. Wow. Yeah. When she pulls her phone out and writes it in her notes and holds it for an episode on the squeeze. Yeah. You know it's something good. That's when you know it's real. But no, so a few months back, we were out, we were out for our anniversary at dinner.
Starting point is 00:26:27 We were, so this would have been in November. Yes. And, you know, we're just chatting away. The two of us having dinner. And then there's a table next to us. It has, like, three people at it. And we like over here like the waiter being like, are you guys celebrating anything tonight? And they're like, yeah, we're actually celebrating a promotion.
Starting point is 00:26:45 She got, you know, she got a promotion at work. And it was just like three friends. And I don't know why I just thought it was such a tender moment between the three of them. And like the fact that I got to like, like looking at them and the girl who had the promotion, she was just like had the biggest smile on her face and her friends were there celebrating her. And it really made me, like, it reminded me how important it is to actually take the time and acknowledge and celebrate those victories in life, you know, whether it is, you know, a job promotion or something big or even like the smaller things. Yeah. Which is something that I feel like we can try to do better at this year. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:28 I feel like we like acknowledge it and move on. just because we're not really like, I mean, we're sentimental people, but I mean, feel like with holidays or bigger things, like we sometimes, I feel like life just moves so fast and we don't. That's what I was going to say. Yeah. Because I think the biggest thing there is forcing yourself to slow down. Yeah. You know, life gets fast.
Starting point is 00:27:55 You get stressed. You know, bad things happen and you don't take the time. You don't slow down and take the time to celebrate those smaller things. And some of them aren't even small things. Like, you know, that promotion for that girl was probably massive. Yeah. But, yeah, I think the biggest thing is really forcing yourself to slow down, take a deep breath. Don't only look at, you know, the negative, the stressful stuff.
Starting point is 00:28:25 And when you experience those victories, no matter how big or small they are, like stop, celebrate them, enjoy them, soak it in. You know, tell people about them. Don't just gloss over that. Is that the? Yeah. Don't just gloss over that. And, you know, get on to the next whatever, the next day. Like, stop for a sec.
Starting point is 00:28:52 Yeah. You won. Yeah. You're doing good, kid. Yeah. I know. It's so sweet. It was really, it was really tender. And I feel like just like getting to like somehow be a part of like that moment like watching them all just like being like like excitement. Very sweet. It was just really tender and really sweet. Yeah. I love that. It's yeah. It seems like such like when you say it out loud,
Starting point is 00:29:15 it seems kind of like obvious and small. But I did when you went to write that one down. I was like that's that's a good. It's a good thought. Yeah. I think. all of us can be reminded to do a little bit better at that. Yeah, for sure. Okay. We have a new date night activity that we like. Okay. That would be an activity, right? Maybe.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Date night. I don't know if that's an activity. I was going to say theme, but that's not really. We'll just go with a date night idea. Idea. But I love your acting like this isn't an existing date night. And we technically do it every night. I think a lot of people do this specifically.
Starting point is 00:30:02 Yeah. Okay. You guys have heard the struggle of us finding, like, shows to watch. Taylor is very vocal about how difficult I am to sit down and watch things. And why is that? I don't know. Well, what do you think it is? Is it, is it, is it, is it,
Starting point is 00:30:26 that you don't want to sit down and watch something? Or is it that we can't come to common ground on what to watch? Maybe 50-50. Well, no, if it's like a show, I will say we did pretty good around Christmas time. We watched a lot of Christmas movies because that's easy. Because we both love those things. Yeah. No, yeah, I think sometimes when I'm like, it's the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:30:49 I don't want to watch like a new show. I'd rather watch Friends. Yes. That's, I like a... You don't want your brain to have to work. I'm a rerun girl. I want something familiar. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:58 Something safe. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You also just like to, like I like to put on something that's, yeah, going to, you can just immerse yourself in.
Starting point is 00:31:12 Get it stimulated in there. And you would rather put on something like friends or something where you can be watching it, but also be on your phone. And also, you know, just be chilling and not have to pay too much attention to it. Yeah. Except for when you want to. Like, I'm like, no, turn all the lights off. Is that relaxing to you, though? I think so.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Fair enough. It's, yeah, it's, I don't know if it's relaxing, but it's, it's fun. Maybe that's what it is for me. Regardless, this date and an idea is very used, very much has been used in the past. Try that one again. It has been, you guys get the point. Anyways, we decided random, how did we get this idea? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:32:01 I think someone maybe inspired us. Someone did it? I love how you're still making this sound like it's an original idea we made. Literally probably 50 million people do this a year. I think I'm just like excited about it because it's something that you would think I wouldn't like, but we did together. And it. We watched the Harry Potter franchise. We sat down and eaten.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Each night we watched a different movie starting from one through seven, eight. I can't remember. Hallows part two. However many Harry Potter's there are, we watched a new one each night. Yeah. That many days in a row. And I don't know why it was so fun. It was a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Like we definitely are not the first people to do that. No, I know, I know, I know. But I don't, I feel like a lot of our friends don't. do like that that that's like you gotta take time to do that like that that's effort but it was really fun but i don't know why it felt like more connected and more like it really felt like we were like intentionally doing like a date night quote unquote thing together than just when we go and watch tv at night like we do every night together like it was intentional time we're like immersing ourselves in this story yeah for sure but do you all
Starting point is 00:33:26 also think that it was like especially fun and enjoyable for you because you've seen them all. I, but that's the thing, though. I have seen them, but it's been 15 years. Okay. Just to be clear, I have seen some. Yeah. Also been a long time, but I had not seen all of them. I feel like I, you know, I saw the first for sure. Yeah. Maybe the second and then like a random one. But I had not seen the majority of them. So I'm sure it was somewhat enjoyable for you to watch me experience it for the first time. Yeah, yeah. And like I remember like, you know, I know who's who and like who dies and who like who's good, who's bad. Like I know the characters, but I couldn't remember. Yeah, I couldn't remember like the whole storyline.
Starting point is 00:34:15 So that was really cool for me to like get to like live that through. They are great movies. Yeah. Like I would probably, I would do that again. It ended and we were like. I could honestly say that I would do that once a year. Yeah. Great.
Starting point is 00:34:30 Maybe around, you know, Christmas time. Yeah. Literally find a week. Yeah. And just do it all over again. They're so good. We'll see how long it can last, how many years. But next year or this year, I'm game.

Starting point is 00:39:43 percent off your first month right now. Go check them out and let's get ourselves heard. So after we finished the Harry Potter franchise, we were trying to find another franchise to watch. Because we, yeah, because we enjoyed it so much. Yeah. And we're like, what other franchise can we do this with that has, you know, I don't know, more than two or three movies? Yeah. So we landed on the Twilight series. Heard of it. Once or twice. Yeah, we watched the entire Twilight franchise. We did.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Front to back. Yeah. I hadn't seen them in a while. I mean, you longer than me. It had been a long time for both of us. Yeah. So I was, how was it, I mean, we all know how I enjoyed watching them because we all know that I love the movies. But how was it for you, like, watching it back?
Starting point is 00:40:35 Because this was like your first time really, like, watching it through. Yeah. It was good. It pleasantly was really enjoyable. I feel like a lot of the things I watch that I've done is just tough because you just tend to just critique yourself and just be hard on yourself and be like, I wish I would have done that better or wouldn't have done that. And I know that when I've watched them before, I have done that. And it's been tough for me to watch them and enjoy them. Yeah. This time, I would say, was just a totally different experience. I was able to sit down with you and just really just sit back, relax, and like, it didn't even feel like it didn't feel like I was watching myself.
Starting point is 00:41:32 like I just was able to remove myself from the movies and just like as a fan watch them. Yeah. And also say, wow, these are actually pretty enjoyable. Yeah. I was a little nervous to like,
Starting point is 00:41:48 I was scared for it to be cringe for me. Like because it had been so long. Like I feel like sometimes I hear people are like, oh, like I forgot how like how kind of insane these movies are. Right. And they're so magical for me. So, like, it's probably like one of my favorite movie franchises and books. So, like, I was, I was a little nervous to watch it.
Starting point is 00:42:11 But I'm happy to report. I loved it just as much. I actually kind of forgot some things, too. Yeah. Which is surprising. Question. Oh, gosh. Watching it back this time, would you say that you still have the same opinion about what team you're on?
Starting point is 00:42:26 Or did that, like, change at all? At all. still the same. Okay. Well, that's an answer. I don't, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:40 I don't know. Yeah. I don't know. Okay. But I will say, because I feel like one of the most common questions I get
Starting point is 00:42:52 from people that are like, oh my gosh, like people like comparing you to your character or like to me, you guys, you and Jacob are like,
Starting point is 00:43:06 two different people because I watched the movies before I knew you and like knowing you as like a full blown adult like it just they're it's like not the same human to me yeah um but watching these I actually had like a really like sweet moment that kind of like made me emotional is in what movies that you're in the tent and you're holding her um I was going to say that's her um in eclipse uh when Taylor is like holding christie. in the tent warming her up. There's like a close-up shot of his face. And you can see this little like scar that Taylor has on his forehead from when he had
Starting point is 00:43:48 chicken pox when he was a kid. And it's like a little mark on him that I like love and like it's just like a little like. Some people are very confused by this by the way. I don't know if anybody else has this. But I just, yeah, when I got chicken pox as a child, I got it very bad. And I have scars. all over my, I don't want to say all over, but I have multiple scars.
Starting point is 00:44:09 Yeah, just like little, on my body. Like a little, think. Yeah. But you have this little one on your forehead right there. And it's one of my favorite little, like, details of Taylor's face and getting to see. You were like, oh, that is the same guy.
Starting point is 00:44:23 It is the same person. No, getting to, like, see you be 17. Like, I got to, like, it was the first time it was you for me, but it was really tender because it was you at 17. 17, 18, and here you are, like, 32 now. Like, just getting to, like, I don't know, it just kind of, like, made me emotional, like, seeing you. Because, you know, it's crazy to think you've literally lived,
Starting point is 00:44:46 like, a whole life before I knew you. Like, you had, like. Same, you too. Well, no, you had, like, a full career. I don't know. Yeah. I mean, I totally did live life before you, but you, like, lived a life.
Starting point is 00:44:59 An interesting one. Yeah, a different one. Yeah. But it was just, I had a tender moment. And it was. That was very sweet. It was sweet to get to see that. But anyways, if you haven't seen the franchise, recommend it.
Starting point is 00:45:10 There's five movies, four books. Which one was your favorite movie watching? It's just, that is the thing. Because I've been asked that question so many times throughout the years. And now re-watching them, one through five, removed from them. Yeah. The last two are just, like, definitely my favorite. Like, of course I love New Moon and have a soft.
Starting point is 00:45:34 spot for it because that's like you know jacobs movie or whatever yeah um and you know i think i love the action in eclipse and like the tone of eclipse yeah but just in terms of the best most enjoyable movies yeah i think the break in dawns well i think the biggest thing i felt watching them through was like i felt like all of you guys like all of the characters really had like their full circle moments. Like they knew, like each person knew who they were. Like, I don't know. They care. How, how would you, how would you say what I'm trying to say as like a movie person? Like, I just felt like all the characters, like, they really had, like, their personalities were, like, dialed in. Like, I knew each person and, like, they were just, like, really, like, everyone played their role, like, really well. Yeah. I think that's, I think that's two things. I think that's one, the writing, you know, of Stephanie Meyer. and like half of that is her doing of understanding these characters and, you know, tying everything back and really just, you know, wrapping each character up with a bow. Yeah. And then I think it also is when all of us are playing this character for four or five years and it's the fourth and fifth movie, we have come to know our characters more and more.
Starting point is 00:47:00 So we got to know, I got to know Jacob and live in his skin for years at that point. So you do start to embody them a little bit easier. Yeah. So I think it's a little bit of both of those. Fun stuff here in the Lautner household. Lots of film. Yes. We were trying to figure out which one we should do next, though.
Starting point is 00:47:23 So if you guys could let us know what movie franchise is your favorite. Yeah. Comments? Message us. She has not seen the Lord of the Rings franchise. You have not seen the Star Wars franchise. Yeah. I've seen one or two out of order, but I know that doesn't count.
Starting point is 00:47:46 But you haven't seen a single Lord of the Rings. No, I have not. So, hey, they're both good options. Yeah. And I don't want to compare Lord of the Rings to Star Wars because I know that's... Well, you haven't seen them, so you can't. Yeah, well, I haven't seen Star Wars. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:03 Yeah. You've seen all of the Lord of the Rings movies? To be honest, I'm not sure if I saw all of the last. Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Those are two different ones. Yes, the Hobbits come after the Lord of the Rings ones. I believe they're five altogether. There's two hobbits.
Starting point is 00:48:22 Yeah. Lord of the Rings. Return of the King, I believe, is the third. But they're long. we would have to do like half of the what we did with some of the Harry Potter's
Starting point is 00:48:33 is like yeah we start getting a little tired because we watch them at night before bed your girl likes her sleep yeah so we would like break each movie into like half two yeah
Starting point is 00:48:44 it worked though it was good it worked for us okay 2025 we're still in January so you could still set a goal yeah a dream
Starting point is 00:48:54 a resolution for this year uh huh do you have any of those Do I have any goals, dreams, or resolutions for this year? I do. I think I'm going to keep some of them private. I don't.
Starting point is 00:49:17 That's one thing about... I'll allow it. Yeah, I just think sometimes, like, you know, it's so normal to be, like, asking people what their New Year's. resolutions are and I think I think sometimes those should be able to be a private thing. I love that. But so yeah, but I think I will say that 2025 looks like it could be a different type of year for me, which is very exciting.
Starting point is 00:49:51 I can't say why exactly yet, but I can't tease that there will be an announcement soon. So soon, I don't know when, but soon you will find out why this year could be a fun one for me. We'll see. Look a little different for us. Yeah. My goals for this year, actually I want to rewind because there, I like wrote out a goals dream's
Starting point is 00:50:26 dreams sheet for 2024 at the beginning of last year. Yeah. And it's still up over there in this room. Wow. Looking at it right now. I know. You know, I found myself in December last month feeling a bit discouraged because I wrote some things on there that are absurd.
Starting point is 00:50:49 Yeah, but I know. You can't do this because you told yourself and me when you made it. I'm going to put the, I'm going to put some. normal things and I'm going to put some wild things. Yes. But when you don't hit some of the wild things. Because my personality, I am like, I am just a go getter, a dreamer. I'm the person that like I truly believe I could like do anything I put my mind to.
Starting point is 00:51:15 So when I was looking at it, I was like, damn, like there's this stuff on here that I like really wanted to do but I didn't get. but I was like, hey, I still like worked my freaking booty off this year and, you know, this past year and did so much. And, you know, it's okay that those goals weren't met. Like, you can only do so much in one year. So they're just going to carry over to this year. Yeah, that's fine. You hit so many of your things on that list. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:45 And you have to remind yourself, when you were creating that list, you literally said to me, I'm going to put some things. on here that are wild dreams. Yeah. Well, my word for last year was dream. So that was, that was, I dreamed last year. I dreamed bacon. I feel like I did hit a lot of stuff. Keep dreaming.
Starting point is 00:52:05 Keep dreaming. That's something I still need to figure out for this year. Because I think it's really important to set an intention. Like, you know, the resolutions, the losing 10 pounds, eating more veggies, doing the like, that's all great. But I feel like just setting a word. in a tone for your year is kind of like, it's inspiring for me at least. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:29 You know, having that word dream last year. I felt like I literally dreamed so big last year. Well, yeah, and it's the reason why you did accomplish so many of the things on that list. Yeah. Sure. There's two or three things that, you know, were massive dreams that you still have all the time in the world to achieve. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:49 But the reason that you can check about 80% off. off of that list is because you dreamed. Yeah. So is it not dream again for you? I don't know. Okay. That's a good... Part of me kind of wants to change it.
Starting point is 00:53:05 Part of me still wants to dream. Yeah. So maybe I think I'll think about it. Yeah. I'm going to think about mine as well. Yeah. Lemon drops. What don't you guys think about it too?
Starting point is 00:53:18 Yeah. Come up. I challenge you to come up with a word for the year. to just set your intentions, your goals, whatever. You don't need to have all these super detailed, specific. You can, like Tay did last year. But I think just an overarching, like, word for the year is a great start. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:44 Everything else will fill in around that. Yeah. If you have a word, comment, let us know what your word is. If you're still thinking about it, maybe continue to ponder. And next time we're here. We can talk about our words. Yeah, we can dive into our words. And we promise it'll be sooner than later because us going six, seven months without sitting down and chatting with you guys was a little bit too long.
Starting point is 00:54:14 Yeah, very sorry to the 80% of people and the 20% that didn't want this. Why do you follow me then? Why? I'm even more sorry. Yeah, yeah. Hopefully you're still not listening. Oh my gosh. Well, we will see you guys.
Starting point is 00:54:31 Hey, let them. Let them. Let them. If you watch the last episode, you know what I'm saying. If you didn't go watch it. Thanks, guys, for tuning in. I can't stress enough. You know, I type it a lot, but we just love you guys so much.
Starting point is 00:54:45 And we're so thankful that we get to do this. We sure are. So fun. We love you. We'll see you next week.
