Starting point is 00:00:21 Sonderger Go to your Reisadvice or Sunny Cars. The following podcast is A Dear Media Production Had you done construction prior to? That was a part of you when you were on the bachelor.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Yeah, it was like my package. Yeah, so I was like, I was like, remember this? It was like the sexy, like constructive worker. Of course you remember it. I don't know how anyone could forget it. You were on the greatest season of the Bachelorette. Or what? Lay your hands off.
Starting point is 00:00:52 Or what? Ever considered rekindling things with Lou? I would, I'd always thought it would be so cool to do like I sit down with him. Right. We'll host it. We should. We should. I watch Hannah.
Starting point is 00:01:05 That's such a proud, like, get his ass. Her freaking moving the podium. All right. Did you? I think that's the best hand we ever got. I was her biggest fan watching her. This show put so many hurdles in front of us. When I go off the show, in my mind, I'm like, you got to date 30 guys.
Starting point is 00:01:21 I'm going to try and date a couple of, you know, she didn't enjoy that. And I probably could have handled it a lot better than that. What is your current relationship status and are you looking to date? I'd say I'm When life gives you lemons What do you do with them? Over here at the squeeze We talk about it
Starting point is 00:01:48 Hello welcome to the squeeze Thank you for having me I'm very very excited to be here We are equally as excited I think I don't know I might be more Yeah Yeah I'll get into that later
Starting point is 00:02:07 Gosh So we start each episode off With a game called Citrus Got Real This jar here has some questions in it If you would like to pull one out of there and read what the question is and we will answer it. All right. Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:02:23 All right. Here is the question. How many photos do you have on your phone right now? Oh, boy. I have no idea, but I know it's a lot. Do you have your phone on you? No. None of us have her phones on us.
Starting point is 00:02:40 She's got my phone right there. I want to say I saw like a crazy number that day. I was like, how? Because it's like a culmination of like all the photos from like, I think almost like 2012-ish. It's kind of all accumulated on there. It's like 44,000 photos. 44.
Starting point is 00:02:54 Okay, I have to grab mine. I need to look. Okay. I'm grabbing mine quick now. That sounds crazy. Yeah, I kind of want to confirm. Maybe I'm just seeing things. What kind of storage?
Starting point is 00:03:06 Oh. Okay, I have mine. Oh. Well, like, what's your recents, I guess? Because that's all of it. My recents is 32,960. What's yours? 35,000.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Something. Yeah, I'm 35,021. Okay. Wow. That is crazy. Wait, that's actually kind of crazy. We're so close. I know. Yeah, 35,000 226. Well, it's probably because we all probably got iPhones around the same time. So it's probably so accumulation. I know. When's my, I'm trying to figure out one in the earliest. I mean, my release photos. Mine is, time isn't that long, though. Yeah, I think mine's 16. Yeah. Is when you got your iPhone, you're saying? That's like the farthest my photos go back. Yeah, my first photo on here is June 21. 2016. It says 2012 on mine. Wow. It's like pulling photos of me like in college with like my teammates and
Starting point is 00:03:58 but then it also has like a photo from last summer saying 2014. So I don't know. Okay. Oh. Oh maybe that's that happens sometimes with the camera. Are they like professional photos? Drunk photos. Like taken from. Professionally drunk photos.
Starting point is 00:04:14 No like if you if I've seen it sometimes pop up if it's From a camera, and whenever the SD card was made, that's when it'll pop up. Oh. drunk photos. I'm sorry. That was me holding a bottle of tequila. Oh, my gosh. That's good. That was a good question. Good job. Lemon drops. Our listeners are lemon drops, and they submit these random questions. I'm also just going to move this back. So it's centered. Thank you. OCD. Yes. Sorry. Okay, I'll kick it off because I'm a big fan of yours. because I am actually a diehard of two television shows that you've been on. Okay. I did start watching The Bachelor, like, at the very beginning.
Starting point is 00:04:58 Wow. And I've only missed a couple seasons. But I also, actually, our household, Loutner household, loves special forces. Such a good show. So I kind of just, I just need the juice there. I would never, ever be able to do that. Why not?
Starting point is 00:05:15 They've literally asked him twice, and he's turned it down about the time. And I'm obsessed with the show. I love watching it, but never could I do it. And they've asked me both times. And it's just a very quick, I'm so honored, but absolutely not. Why is, why do you say that? Everything. Everything it seems like you had to go through, I would die. And like the living conditions, the bathroom conditions, some of the stuff you have to do, claustrophobic stuff can't do. Yeah. I feel like the bathroom would get you. Oh, the bathroom was so bad. The bathroom situation. And we've had a few people on before. And I've asked them.
Starting point is 00:05:55 So I do want to hear this answer from you as well. But I've asked them, is it as tough as it looks? Like, is it as rough as it looks? And they say yes. I think it's harder than it looks. Okay. Yep. I think it's harder.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Because like you watch, like, for instance, the boat carry challenge that we did. Yeah. That took us like five hours. Oh, the boat carry. Yeah. That's where on that challenge is where. Is that the one Kellyman? Kelly left.
Starting point is 00:06:18 And like imagine like redlining, like me, like going, like leaving it all out there, but for five hours straight. Yeah. You know? And just dying and dying. Like, and just having to keep going and going and going. Like that was probably, that was the start to the end because it was like, that's when it really got serious and real, like physically demanding. I mean, and like that guy cut down to like, what, six minutes in the show? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:39 Kelly was telling us that. She's like, it was much worse than it looked. Yeah. What about the sleeping situations? The sleeping situation? Like, you're so tired. do you knock out. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Like you're just, you know, some people struggle with it because some people like fidget and move the whole night and that, you know, some people are light sleepers. I felt like I had a pretty good, you know, I was pretty easily able to fall asleep. Yeah. But that, I mean, that show is brutal. But I encourage everyone. If you get the call, go do it. You would.
Starting point is 00:07:07 Because it'll push you further than you could ever imagine. And it'll change the way you go about your day today when you come back home. Wow. So we hit that big of an impact on you. I think it's an important show. And I think it does so much for you when you come home. Yeah. Is there like, I don't really know if there is an answer to this.
Starting point is 00:07:27 Was there like a favorite part? I mean, just like early on was like fun. Yeah. Like, because like you only can go as fast and as far as the weakest link. Yeah. So when we had some weaker links around like, you know, it was just so funny to see like how they like went through it. And like, poor Tara Reid.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Like, that girl had a monster on her back with that backpack. And she's all about, like, 95 pounds. Yeah. You know? And she fought. She gave it all. But, like, just like her, like, and, like, the dynamic with everyone else, like, stealing people's shoes on accident, you know, just, like, falling, tripping over
Starting point is 00:08:05 her own feet. Like, it was just entertaining until it got really, really hard. Yeah. It was time for her to go home. Was there a challenge that you were, like, excited about it? Or you're like, oh, like, this was fun. Because didn't Kelly. Kelly was like, she, like, had fun doing some of them.
Starting point is 00:08:22 I feel like. Yes. She said she, like, thoroughly was like, oh, I'm excited because she wasn't afraid of height. So she was like. Right. So doing like the height stuff would be fun then. Yeah. One of the things, like every time, like, it seemed like every time someone quit, the challenge that they always wanted to do was next.
Starting point is 00:08:35 Oh. You know, like Brian, Austin Green really wanted to do the driving challenge. I remember everyone was saying. And then he quit. And that was the next challenge. Okay. And that was like, kind of the motivation. Like, you get to do the coolest.
Starting point is 00:08:46 craziest thing. We ran down a dam. You know, race each other running straight down a dam. Oh, yeah. You know, like, that's wild. Yeah. And so it's like... You'd never get to do these things. You'll never get to do these kind of cool things. And they were saying this while we were struggling and while we were in pain, like, you're going to miss this. And like, in your mind, I'm like, these guys are crazy. I am not, you know?
Starting point is 00:09:06 But sure enough, like, because it's like such a beautiful, like, setting. Like, we're in the mountains. We're doing such amazing things. You're like, damn, I am going to miss this. you know, like ripping helicopters up and down through mountains, doing crazy stunts. I'm like, I'm over here yelling, screaming, like, you know, panicking because I don't like this stuff. But the end of the day, I'm like, that was so cool. Yeah. Did, had you watched the first season or how soon?
Starting point is 00:09:30 As soon as I got called the show, it was like a week before they went to go film. I was like, I'm going to watch the show today and tomorrow. Give you an answer. Okay. And I watched it. I was like, this is Hollywood. This isn't going to be that hard. That's exactly what we thought.
Starting point is 00:09:43 I mean, when we had, when we had Hannah off. She was actually our first guest on the show. She was like, it's TV. So she was like, you know, I was kind of like expected. Assuming that it would look rough on TV. But then, you know, you got craft services and, you know, maybe another place you sleep with some air conditioning. Yeah. Like, nope.
Starting point is 00:10:04 None of that. Yeah, no. Did you talk to her about it? Because when she was on, she was like, I wouldn't recommend someone to do it. So I talked. So she filmed my show going home with Tyler Cameron. And then so she talked to her. me a little bit about it then.
Starting point is 00:10:17 Okay. And then I was like, going to give her a call. I was like, nine calling her. I'm good. And then like last minute, I was like, damn, I'm going to call her. And she, like, it was like, right before they pulled us out of the rooms because I wanted like, give me every detail. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:30 And then she didn't answer. So I was like, all right, I'm screwed. Let's go. Oh, my gosh. Well, maybe it's a good thing. Yeah. I think it was. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:36 I think when you go into these, like, reality shows, I think the best thing to do is just come in with a blank slate, open-minded, and just like, just go all in. Yeah. it's so funny because like after this this second season we were like the fact that like the Bachelor franchise has produced like winners on this type of show is like so funny
Starting point is 00:10:58 yeah I think that just shows you like what kind of psychological warfare like being on the Bachelor and Bachelor Red is like battling prepared you yeah like you're like mental warfare with all these other contestants with like the lead with the producers something they've done has like made a strong
Starting point is 00:11:15 Mentally to get through this. And I think also Hannah's studying the bar. Yeah. It's like, well, I can't not finish if Hannah finished because I'll never hear the end of it. Yeah. So the bar is set by her and we all have to keep matching it. Yeah. I love that.
Starting point is 00:11:28 I mean, speaking of Hannah, that is a rather favorite show that we know you from. But I do have to ask because, you know, he gets this a lot. What are your thoughts on like still being asked about it? Because it was a while ago. Like, do you enjoy talking about the season or like the show still or like? I don't mind. It was such a fun part of my life And it's also a part of my life that
Starting point is 00:11:47 Gave me so much opportunity So for me it hasn't Like Like I enjoy it I couldn't imagine like I mean all I did was travel around the world Hang out with the guys drink beers and talk to a girl Every now and then
Starting point is 00:12:02 How great is that? Yeah So That's so true when you put it that way Yeah I got no negativity You know like so it was very Good experience
Starting point is 00:12:12 You were on, I would say, the greatest season of The Bachelorette in history. I don't know what it is, but right now it keeps coming back up on my TikTok. Yeah, I was going to bring that up. Yeah, the Or What is definitely getting a second go around. And I watch Hannah on it. And I still watch it like as such a proud like get his ass. We literally, I think it came up on my TikTok too, like not too long ago. but obviously we're watching it before you came
Starting point is 00:12:42 because we were like we have to rewatch this because we couldn't remember like what exactly was going on but like it's just so cool to like see her like just the way she's like no like the way she talks to him and like does not take the disrespect and her freaking moving the podium
Starting point is 00:12:58 it's just I think that's the best Hannah we ever got I think she was so strong so I mean I just I was her biggest fan watching her when all that was going down and I still watch it like yeah Hannah there you go yeah that's the Hannah So good. And it just, it cracks me up.
Starting point is 00:13:12 Like, you, like, you and Jed, like, going up to Luke. And then it beats just like, behind Hannah. He's like, I'll stay. I'll stay back. You're like, or what? Be smart, man. He's actually the smart one. We were cracking up.
Starting point is 00:13:25 I was like, I didn't realize that. He's like, I'm going to let them fight. I'll get disqualified. And then I'll be with the girl. It's so good. It's so good. I know. Obviously, you and Hannah are still friends.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Did that take a while for you guys to, like, rekindle after the show or how was how was navigating that? Because I feel like you guys are one of like the strongest friendships of like a lead and a contestant to come out of the show. Strong is an interesting word. I think we've had a lot of like ups and downs. You know? And it's been strength is kind of probably what's kept us friends.
Starting point is 00:14:00 You know, I think the show put so many hurdles in front of us. And, you know, when I got off the show, you know, we tried to hang out and see how it was. and then, you know, I handle some things in ways that probably weren't the best, you know? But I was like a new kid. Like, I was like, in my mom, like, you got to date 30 guys. I'm going to try and date a couple, you know,
Starting point is 00:14:18 around and see how it goes. She didn't enjoy that. And I probably could have handled it a lot better than that. So there's regrets, of course. And then we didn't talk for a while. And then when her and my mom passed, her and my mom were like talking all the time, you know. So we kind of started hanging
Starting point is 00:14:39 out again. Then that's when COVID happened. We're all together again. And that was just not the right time for me to try anything like that. You know, like, she didn't get the best me. And I was a very hurt and, you know, lost me, you know, when you lose your mother. And you're kind of just isolated because of quarantine. And then you have Hannah there and Matt there. And the whole, pretty much old country was like eyes on us at that point. Like, I remember there was like always a parade of cars going down our streets and always a proper rotsie outside our house. And I'm like, this is Jupiter, Florida. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:13 This doesn't happen here. This happens in L.A. Wow. So it was just a very difficult way to try and heal and then also try and rekindle something with someone or get to know someone again. Yeah. So, I mean, it wasn't great. It wasn't healthy for anybody.
Starting point is 00:15:27 And many regrets through it all, which is where the strength is, like, we both had our ups and downs and still are able to pick up the phone and, like, hey, I could, I could use you for this show. It could be really awesome. And her to be like, yeah, I'll do it. Like, it'll be, you know, let's knock it out. And she was such a pro. She worked so hard on it. Yeah. I mean, she's amazing.
Starting point is 00:15:47 It's cool on both of your ends. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Sweet. Ever considered rekindling things with Luke or? I would, I've always thought it would be so cool to do like a sit down with him. Right. Because I'll host it. We should. We should.
Starting point is 00:16:03 There's some mental help there. to sit like not, like one of you might need to sit like in between, you know, I don't know. I think we can handle it like as, you know, like good men now. But Luke was the biggest star of our show, looking back at it now.
Starting point is 00:16:16 Yeah. Like, I can't believe some of that, like, looking back at it now, I can't believe some of the things he said, how things went down. Like, you couldn't have wrote it better as a bachelorette, like, it's show. Yeah. It's tough to believe it wasn't written.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Yeah. Like, it just made Hannah look so much better. It made me look great. because, I mean, he was just throwing me giant, juicy, juicy great fruits that I could just hit out of the park. You know, it was just teed up perfectly. Yeah. I got to go back and rewatch the whole season.
Starting point is 00:16:46 I know. I know. We should. So you would recommend someone to do Special Forces. Would you recommend a friend to do The Bachelor? Yeah. I think I would. But I think you can't go into The Bachelor, Bachelorette, anything like that with any kind of idea that you want to be something else after.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Like, for me, it was like, I'm going to go on, have fun, day to grow, drink beer and whatever happens happens. And I think you guys got like, my greatest compliment I got was you just saw me on that show from all my, like, oh, that's the Tyler I knew, you know? I think if you go on there calculated, trying to have some playing afterwards,
Starting point is 00:17:18 you're never going to be authentic. You're not going to be yourself. It's not going to work. Yeah. Yeah. And that's kind of. And you got to have a Luke Parker and a kind of brown. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:27 So. Yeah. No, I mean, both are kind of hard to replicate. Yeah. One in a good way. I would say so. I feel like the show is making a comeback, though. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:17:37 Joey did a great job, I heard. I didn't get to really watch it, but I feel like Joey did a great job, and people are buzzing again, which was kind of not it for a while. Yeah. Yeah. Last season saved it. Yeah, we watched this past season. Yeah, this was the first one we definitely have, like,
Starting point is 00:17:51 consistently watched over the past few. And it was great. I mean, I think they're finally starting to go back to, like, cast in, like, a genuine, like, when they're casting, they're picking, like, genuine people. or not like trying to make storylines and stuff because I mean everyone was really great. They just had amazing supportive women on the season.
Starting point is 00:18:12 Yeah. We just had Daisy on here. And just like they all just seems so great. Yeah. I think it's like what made like the Golden Batch were like great too. It was like wholesome and like supportive. Like that's what we want. We don't care about the crazy drama every minute.
Starting point is 00:18:29 You know, give us some some good, you know. Yeah. Yeah. That's so true. I'd love to talk about your mom. Let's do it. If that's all right. I'd love to know, what was she like?
Starting point is 00:18:39 Oh, man. My mom was, she was the rock for everybody. Like, she was the one that held our family down. All her friends came to her. She was always like the team, the coaches, or not the coach, but like the team mom for everything we did. Like, if someone needed help in the community, she was always like the first, like, she was just like the ultimate volunteer, the ultimate help. She was at everywhere. Wow.
Starting point is 00:19:04 And so when she passed away, like, it didn't just take our family and hit us. It hit everybody. Yeah. And it was extremely tough because she was just such a huge part of our community and just has such an impact. Yeah. But she was, but the reason why people loved her, though, is she was the laugh for the party, but also she'll put it to you. Yeah. She slapped a couple of my friends in the face.
Starting point is 00:19:29 Like, get your shit together, you know? And she calls, there's a voicemail. Like it's my brother's girlfriend got it put into a build-de-bear so he can always hear it. And it's, hey, shit head, wake up. I'll be there soon. Love you. You know, it's like that tough love, but it's like true love, you know. And she was just the most special person and the hardest working person I've ever met to.
Starting point is 00:19:54 Wow. Was her death sudden or? Yeah. So she had a brain aneurysm. She was driving in the car and we get the whole full story because someone saw it. next to her. What? And she had her brain aneurysm, slumped over, and just started rolling into the median.
Starting point is 00:20:11 The guy is, I mean, he's a hero. He hops out of his car, starts trying to smash the window, breaks the window, steers the car off the road, pulls her out, starts trying to do CPR, all that. But it was such a massive brain aneurysm. I mean, it was the size of, like, a quarter of saying. And it was on the main stem of her brain. So once that went, she pretty much went to. Is that something that Tays,
Starting point is 00:20:33 a nurse. Is that something that like, does that just happen? Or is that something that is like been developing? So it's something that can grow and then eventually pop. So like you should get brain scans. You should get your head checked out because you can find these things and then they can go in there. They can, they can cut them out. They can close them and they can, you know, prevent these things from happening. And what's the upsetting part of it all is, is we were broke. you know, my mom, every dollar she made went right back into us. And my dad was climbing out of a hole financially. Like, we would never, like, we were very comfortable.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Like, we had a point of our time we were in our life. And then, oh, wait, happened. We lost everything. And that's how we, and we ended up back in the house, like, where I was, like, grew up and born in what you'll see on the show. But, you know, so she always had these migraines, like, really, really bad migraines. And I'm just like, and she never took the time to go to a neurologist and get him checked out or see because maybe if she got a scan, she would have saw something, you know? And so
Starting point is 00:21:34 things like that were just like, damn, you know, something else I learned too is like if you have these things in your head, like, like her accident happened in February. I think they say February, March, and then there's like another set of months that a lot of these ruptures happen because when the poles flip and like the magnetic poles and it causes changes and stuff like that. Really? Yeah, they've been able to like kind of like find like a spike in when they happen. Wow.
Starting point is 00:22:01 Oh, I have to look into that. Yeah. Wow. Science man. So that was like right. It was like right before COVID had COVID happened? So that happened February 27th, 2020. I think COVID probably happened like two weeks later.
Starting point is 00:22:16 Yeah. I would imagine that was a pretty difficult time for you and your family where you got. all together during that time? So because of COVID, we all got to be together, which I don't think if COVID happened, we would have probably all just went back to our separate. You know, my brother would have went back to college. My other brother would have went back to college.
Starting point is 00:22:40 And then I would have been back in New York, whatever. So I think what allowed us to do is all come home, have to be with each other. And trust me, it was, I mean, then I started inviting all my friends. I'm like, guys, get out of New York. come stay here with us. So we're all in this little three bedroom, two bath house,
Starting point is 00:22:58 1,200 square feet with like nine people staying in it. Wow. And, but that's how my mom would have had it if COVID was happening. She would be like, everyone just come on, you know, like. Yeah. And, but so I think the silver lining of COVID, it was a very dark and tough time, you know, for a lot of people. But it allowed me to have people around me to, you know,
Starting point is 00:23:19 heal and love on me and love on my brothers and be there with my brothers. Like, uh, a brother, Ryan, 20 years old at the time, you know, like to lose your mom. And he was a mama's boy. You know, the struggle he had to go through and whatnot. And just, I'm glad I was there to be able to kind of like, you know, when he's upset and wanting to cuss everyone out and be, you know, just enraged. I was able to try and grab him and hold him. Like, come on, come on. Like, this isn't how we handle us. Let's talk to it, you know. So would you say it was, well, I think you would at the end of the day, it was more so of a blessing. But I also would imagine this,
Starting point is 00:23:58 the stillness of it really makes you have to like deal with it, you know, rather than being like, okay, well, you know, let's keep my mind off of it, go out, do these things. Like, nope, you now have to live with this in a house with just dead silence. Yeah. Well, there was definitely not silence, though, because I had everyone at my house and it was kind of like, like, I didn't even think I was going to create this, but now I got everyone at my house, Hannah, Matt, you know, all my buddies, like, not, like, I just caused creating pandemonium at my house. So it kind of almost, in the sense, distracted me for a little bit. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:36 And then all of a sudden, like, I'd be alone instill in this, and then it would hit me like a ton of bricks. Yeah. And I would catch it in waves like that. Yeah. Yeah, I was going to, I was going to say, I feel like I was going to ask if that was, you know, maybe good in the moment. that you did have, like, your friends and your whole family together as somewhat of, not a distraction, but, you know, to keep your mind busy and to keep it from sitting still, do,
Starting point is 00:25:03 do you remember, like, the first time you kind of sat still with, with your grief and kind of, like, processing and what that was like for you? Yeah, I remember, so COVID, we didn't get to see, like, you didn't see, like, your grandma or your grandpa because you're worried about if they get sick or not. I remember the first time I really, really broke down after my, after my mom's passing was finally got to see my grandma again, you know, and that's a piece of her, you know, and I got to hold my grandma's hand and watch a TV show with her and just, just be there with her. And then I kind of, then I remember leaving and being by myself driving home and just like bawling and crying. I was like, damn, and there was like a beautiful sunset. I was like, damn, I miss my mom. Like, you know, and it just
Starting point is 00:25:46 keeps, it hits, grief hits you in. waves. Yeah. And you're never going to know when it's going to hit you. It'll just be something that comes and reminds you and just like, damn, I wish she was here. I wish I could share this with her. I wish I could do that, you know?
Starting point is 00:25:58 Yeah. So is there anything that doesn't have to be an answer to this? But would you say there's anything that your mom's passing has taught you? Yeah. I shared this lesson, I think, the other day. And the lesson was like, take your time. when I came on this came off the Bachelorette
Starting point is 00:26:21 I mean just fame and all those things were throwing at me and my mom was right in the middle of it you know like my mom was like chatting with reality Steve like he's still in Greece you know what I mean like giving away like the show to people and like I remember when I came home was like mom you gotta cool it on social media like you know like she's like just she was like I just kept getting
Starting point is 00:26:44 so many things sent to me about my mom and we would get in arguments about it, you know. And it kind of put a little bit of a tear in us for certain things, you know, but we were like always still good. And I like, the thing I hate is like I go back and read some of our conversations on text sometimes. And I'm like, I wish I just would have took more time to answer her. And I screenshoted some of my last conversations. And you can see her like wanting to, wanting love and wanting something back. and I was just so short, you know, and I regret that a lot. And I think I was like, I was like, I want to use this as an example to share with people.
Starting point is 00:27:24 I shared it on the day of our passing. Like, take your time. Take your time today at least. And go call your mom. Go call your dad. Go call someone you love. Or someone that you need to bury the hatchet with, you know, like take your time and do it. Because at the end of the day, one day something's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:27:41 you're going to want more time and you're not going to have it. So I try to, that's probably the biggest lesson and thing I've learned. And I try to do that with my pops and just trying to take my time with him. Boy, it's hard, frustrating.
Starting point is 00:27:58 You know, he can be such, you know, we're both in the same industry now and like, I'm waiting on him to get my cabinets. You know, I'm like, pops get my cabinets, you know? And then you get mad at him, but I'm like, damn, that's my pop still. I got to make sure I, you know, because he's got his health issues.
Starting point is 00:28:13 You know, I'm trying to make sure he's good. And it's tough and it can be easily forgotten to take your time with somebody. So easily forgotten. So it's just such a good reminder. I mean, I need to be reminded of it once a week.
Starting point is 00:28:27 It's just like, yeah, such a... I'll share. Like, our last conversation was she called me the... She called me that morning. And I was like, because how it would normally happen is my dad would pick me up
Starting point is 00:28:42 and he would drive me from the airport and bring me to the airport and that was like our time to spend together and my mom, and he would drive me off at my mom's house and I would spend time with my mom because I'd be at her house. So it was always like the thing
Starting point is 00:28:53 from college till now, you know? And I was like, mom, pops is gonna pick me up. It's what always happened. Whatever, let him pick you up. You know what I mean? And she was like pissed off at me and like her last text. Like we're like kind of arguing, you know?
Starting point is 00:29:08 I'm just like, damn, I wish I could have said out. love you, you know? And, but then, like, it took me a little while to realize that it was always tough love with her and she was all, you know, and she didn't, and we, so we'd battle, but like, yeah, that's how we knew to love each other too, you know? So, like, it was, it wasn't that we were upset or that we were mad. It was just tough love. Yeah. It took me a while to realize, like, it's okay. Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's great to hear that, that you've, like, I guess, processed in a sense, or, you know, come to terms with, you know, even though that was, you're not living like, you know, with this immense amount of like pressure and, you know, regret of how
Starting point is 00:29:46 that ended. Because that's, we know, we know a few people that live with that and that's hard. And I'm proud that you are able to like see the other side of that because it's, it's hard to, that's a big weight to carry. How do you feel? I mean, we honestly, we talk about grief a lot on the, on the podcast. And I think I've kind of learned to realize, I mean, two things. One, like there is no, like, handbook to it. Everyone experiencing. it differently. But I also think it's kind of the biggest thing because it's such like a human emotion. Like I feel like that's one thing that majority of humans can somewhat relate to is like losing someone or grieving a situation. So I think that's kind of like. Grieving anything. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:27 So I think that's kind of why we talk about it. But as as time has gone on now, it's been four years, how have you seen like the transition of, you know, your grief and how you look back on things to, you know, maybe a couple months out to where you are now. Yeah, I think like when it first happened, it was like, I was always trying to find light in a dark place. It's like, it's like, you're always trying to find the light. I was trying to find the light. And I think that's something you got to focus on.
Starting point is 00:30:55 It's like, find something positive and cling on to those moments, you know. And we found out that my mom was an organ donor and that we were able to save her kidney, which I was like, how? That lady loved her margarita, you know? And I was like, someone was going to get like a half off. kidney or something. A discounted kidney. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:15 You know, and then it was like her kidney and her skin got donated. I think it was her skin got donated or something like that. So I might not be right on the skin, but I just know definitely was her kidney. And I was like, like, that's a positive. That's good. Like, you know, I was in and then like it made me want to make sure that I was an organ
Starting point is 00:31:31 donor. So if something happened to me, I can help somebody. And I think that's something like easy. One, everyone can do and should do. They don't, misconception. They don't let you die because you're a donor to use your donors. You know, I think that's something a lot of people are worried about. Right. Can't confirm.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Can't confirm. A lot of people are worried about that. And then it was like, well, let's find a way to honor her. You know, and we started the foundation. And that's been something that like we've taken so much pride in. And, you know, we started with two kids and then, you know, giving them like partial scholarships. And now the next year we did five kids and we're able to give them full scholarship. scholarships and give those two kids full scholarships.
Starting point is 00:32:12 And now we're at 14 this year that we're adding on. The next year we're going to add 20 is our goal. And it's just like, you know, such ways to honor her and keep her name in a positive good light, you know. And then renovating her home, you know, and making it the way she wanted to do it. And then we built the alcove. And it was all her photos and her cowgirl hats and her boots and all these things. And then we took some of her ashes and buried them and a butterfly tree. because, you know, it's called a desert Cassia.
Starting point is 00:32:42 And because whenever I see a butterfly, I think of her. And I always reminds me to say, hey, mom, you know. Yeah. But now I don't live there anymore because I felt guilty living there, honestly. And I was like, well, this could be something. Because me and my brother share it. I was like, let's turn this to a rental, short-term rental, share this with everybody that will we've done. And then it can create income for us.
Starting point is 00:33:05 We can create more profits. So it's like the gift that keeps on giving from mom. Yeah. But I drive by it every day. So when I do, I always pull in. I check the tree out front, make sure it's good. If it's tilted a little bit, I bring it back straight. Like, tighten the ropes around it.
Starting point is 00:33:17 And, like, it's like my pride and joy now. It's like my way of trying to still take care of her and keep her alive. That's so cool. I love that. If there was one thing you could say to her right now, what would it be? There was one thing I could say to her right now. It would just be, like, it would have to be the biggest hug and the biggest thank you in the world. I mean, I'll say as if I, you know, thank you, mom.
Starting point is 00:33:42 You are the one who, no matter what, when you're sick, when you were down, always got up and did whatever you needed for us and took care of us and gave us your all. And always believed in us and believed in the crazy things we wanted to do. And, you know, thank you for the foots in our asses, but for the biggest hugs and the biggest lessons. and, you know, I hope that I find a woman like you one day. I love that. Your mom seems like she was awesome. The grandkids will miss you. That's sweet.
Starting point is 00:34:17 I hope to be somewhat like your mom. She sounds like a badass, like, boy mom that just had the biggest heart. She was. She was the ultimate boy mom. Yeah. And what was so cool about it, though, was like, she was the ultimate boy mom, and she was mean and she was loving and she was strong. and she'd be out there mowing the lawn
Starting point is 00:34:36 and just kicking ass all the time. Wow. But as soon as one of us brought a girl around, she would get this high-pitched squeal. She became the girliest girl ever. And I'm like, they would just be like best friends, you know? And she, because she never had that feminine energy around her, you know, had a girl around.
Starting point is 00:34:56 So it was always so fun and she loved it. And we got to see like the girly girl come out of her. Oh my gosh. That's so good. I can like imagine that in my head. That's so cute. Yeah. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Okay. Well, that transition, you have a new show coming out on Amazon Prime. Yep. Going home with Tyler Cameron? Yes. It's out now. Oh, it's out now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:17 Oh, let's go. It's out now. All eight episodes are out so you can stream them all right now. Benj it. Tell us, like, where did the idea come from? This has been a long time in the making. Okay. So I got off the show in, you know, 2019.
Starting point is 00:35:32 and then you start having these agent meetings and all these things, you know. And I always knew no matter what, I always thought this world that we're in has a shelf life to it. Like, this fame is cool, but I always know, like, it's going to be some hot guy, you know, next. And there's going to be someone that's going to take my job.
Starting point is 00:35:48 And, you know, and like, I'll be not hot anymore. And it's like, I got to get a real job. Yeah. So I always thought construction and real estate, no matter what was going to be what I did. And so I came, you know, and took these meetings. And they're like, what do you want to do?
Starting point is 00:36:03 I was like, well, I want to take a passion of mine construction. And if we're going to try and do a reality show, might as well put it together and do a home rental show. Yeah. And I always thought that was what was my path and where I wanted to go with it. And so we started pitching this show in 2020. Wow. We got yeses from a lot of production companies and picked probably the one I think is
Starting point is 00:36:25 the highest standard of, you know, production companies. They've done Chip and Joanna, all that. Yeah. We picked them. And then here's like, goes back to my mom. A week before she passed away, my dad paid off the house and said this house is yours free and clear. And then my whole thing was, is the show was going to be about all my friends' family. And my mom was going to be like my real estate lady, help me find jobs, I found me find projects,
Starting point is 00:36:51 let me buy new houses and stuff like that and flip them. And we were coming to film the 28th. And that's when her accident happened in 27th. And on the show, I was going to surprise her and renovate her house. So we had to cancel filming. And then once we canceled filming, two weeks later is COVID. Yeah. And then it was like midway through COVID.
Starting point is 00:37:11 And it's like, we got to shoot something. We got to come up with something. And we got to sell it. And so I had my film guys back at home. And his name is Brownberry. He's a legend. And he lives out here now. And he came over and he helped film the sizzle reel.
Starting point is 00:37:25 And it was just like, it was great. I mean, it turned out great. But we sent it in and we were able to shop that. That's how we sold a show. And so, but then it took forever to get through COVID and everything else to happen. And now we're here four years later. Wow. And we're, you know, shows out now.
Starting point is 00:37:43 It's just like all finally came to fruition. Props to you for like sticking through that because it, I mean, I've watched him do some of these things. And it's just, it's a beast of a world to try to do that. It's so easy to, you know, just get frustrated with it. and just let it go. Well, this was like my dream. So I was like, I can, and I was able to fill it in with like other shows along the way, which has been nice. And keep me afloat and keep me going.
Starting point is 00:38:11 And that's the one thing I was worried about. I was like, you know, you got to strike while iron's hot. You know, like, it can be fleeting so quickly. I was like, guys, but like, luckily we did special forces. We did the real dirty dancing. We did other fun shows to keep us alive and going. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:26 Had you done, like, construction prior to it? Like, is that a part of your family? That was a part of you when you were on the bench. Yeah, it was like my package. Yeah. I was, I was like, remember this?
Starting point is 00:38:36 It was like the sexy, like constructive worker. Of course you remember it. I don't know how anyone could forget it. Yeah, I was dancing. We were doing like the footloose dance. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:46 On the construction site. Oh, this sounds familiar now. It's a good package. Yeah. That package is a funny story too. But yeah, I was,
Starting point is 00:38:55 I was in the middle of building my first home. And I was like working for my pops making like 200 bucks a week. And I was sitting out. home and I was bored and I saw an ad for the WWE. I was like, so I wrote crazy stuff in. Like, I want to wear a red speedo, red boots and just kick people's ass. And, uh, and then all of a sudden, uh, my boys, I sent it to my boys first. Like, dude's sending it in. That's hilarious. You're like, you'll be great for this. And then they're like, see what else you can find. Found the Bachelorette.
Starting point is 00:39:22 Same thing. Typed it all up. Sent it in. They were just the first ones to call back. Stuff. Yeah. Did you ever hear back from the WWE? I did like, like, I already hit this show, guys. WVW or The Bachelorette. I think they would probably still have you. I think they would gladly accept you. I did go back to me to like the training quarters. Like when we kind of picked up a like discussion down the road.
Starting point is 00:39:43 Yeah. And then I saw all these people like really going at it. I met like Sean Michaels and everyone at the training for someone at the training for something. And I was like, oh man, I already played football. I'm already beat up enough. I got two torn shoulders, two torn hips. I'm good. Like yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:54 And I was like I'm good on getting beat up again. Yeah. Yeah. We were just watching that because they just did a big, I don't know, it's called. Yeah, WrestleMania. It's just fascinating to me that stuff. It is fascinating. But like, yeah, it does take a toll.
Starting point is 00:40:10 Like, the stunts are crazy. Like, even though it's not like real, it's real. And like the mat is not like a mat. It's like what you're landing on. It's crazy. Yeah. Well, maybe it'll be in your future one day. Never know.
Starting point is 00:40:24 One day. The red speed of the red boots. Maybe one match. I just to say I did it. Just a guest appearance. I'm sure they would take you. What's been your favorite part about filming your show? I think the favorite part about it is we became a little family.
Starting point is 00:40:38 The show, you know, you have a construction team. You have a design team. You have a production team. You got the clients and all that. Like, by the end of it, we were all like, it was very bumping up and down. Like it was, you know, trying to find our groove. And once we found our groove, it was great. And just so much love for each other.
Starting point is 00:40:59 It was a ton of fun moments, crazy moments that happened on the show. But it's just like I like to have fun and like push the limits and goof around. And they let me do that. And so I think you see that on the show. And it's not just a home rental show. It's it's it's you get a reality show. You get a home rental show. You get a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:41:19 A lot of corkiness. So it's good. Did you have experience with design before? And how has the design aspect? So design, I don't know. as much. And it's like funny because like I built like a couple spec homes with my pops and like I designed them and I look back now. I'm like gotten a lot better since then, you know? And and but like a lot of that is like, you know, an ode to Jessica who's my designer on the show and even Hannah, she came on
Starting point is 00:41:43 with great ideas and I was able to learn from all them. And now I'm renovating my home and I'm designing it myself. And I'm taking the crack at it then. And it's it's fun. Like I'm definitely way more expressive in the way that I design my home than the way I dress. I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy. This is a stylist, you know what I mean? Even though this is pretty vanilla too. But I love a, you know, I love pushing it. We're doing like burgundy's and wallpapers and tons of wood paneling and like it's like an old looking kind of colonial style house. And I'm trying to really lay into like the French cottage kind of, you know, stones and earth tones and dark woods. And, you know, we're doing green and white checkered marble.
Starting point is 00:42:25 in the dining and kitchen. That's exciting. Yeah, so I like to push it more than that. I love that. Oh, that makes me, I love all that stuff. You have done a great job here. Thank you. You know, I appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:42:40 We did a fun little thing with Anthro and I got to pick out like all of our furniture and like design everything, which again, I've never like done that. But with this house, I got to like do it. And when they came over and we did a shoot with them, they were like, it turned out so great. who designed it? And I was like, oh my gosh, it was me. The anthra designer is complimenting me. The anthra designers compliment. It was a big thing for me. I'd never furnished a home before. And then it's great because then it becomes your home. Yeah. And I found that with a lot of couples that we worked with in the show. It was John Wright and Sonny, for instance. We'd do their house. And it was John's house. Sunny moved into it. And it was always John's house. And they just kind of lived in it, had kids in it, and never really designed it. And now when we were doing the show, we got John what he wants.
Starting point is 00:43:29 We got Sonny what he wants. And we couldn't really get him to budge a lot of times. But we were trying to tell like Johnny, like happy wife, happy life, you know. And even that didn't work sometimes. But we were able to give them a house at the end of it that had both of them and both of their designs in it. And then now it is a home for Sonny when it was just a home probably for John. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:50 Yeah. I feel like this is, I mean, we've lived, our first home we lived in was your house. And then we lived in one, but this one definitely feels like we redid the kitchen here in like a couple bathrooms. So I had like a little bit of like learning about, you know, like different materials of like, you know, quartz to porcelain to deck, decton and marble, like learning all of that and like how insulation and things. Have you used decton by the way? Oh, you need to learn what decton is. Unbelievable. Really?
Starting point is 00:44:17 Uh-huh. It's a man-made like countertop. I mean, you can use it anywhere. It's a man-made material. It's what our kitchen is. but it's like stain resistant, scratch resistant. You have to like have a certain, like, the installer has to be like certified in it
Starting point is 00:44:29 because they have like a warranty of like, it won't damage or anything. And it looks amazing. It looks so good, but it also, for me, I'm the cook. I make a mess a lot.
Starting point is 00:44:41 He doesn't clean up after him. Yeah. So the fact that it doesn't stain, you like, I mean, to like chip it, you'd probably have to take a hammer. Like,
Starting point is 00:44:49 yeah. It's just amazing. So I love that you guys got rid of all the uppers. And then you were smart and you've used that little hallway right there to make all that your storage. And it just opened up the whole. It's beautiful. Yeah. I should show you that before photos of our kitchen because this house was not touched for like 30 years.
Starting point is 00:45:03 And it was a, it was. That's what I'm going through now. I got a 70s home. And it was very 70s when I moved in. Yeah. Yeah. That's your personal one? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:11 Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh. Oh, I have to see that. That's going to be cool. Okay. Last question before we head into Lemon 7. I have to ask this question because our lemon drops and the internet would be manifest. I didn't, but also some of my girlfriends that I told you were coming on today would be mad if I
Starting point is 00:45:27 didn't. So you can answer this if you want. If not, we'll just go into Lemon 7. But what is your current relationship status and are you looking to date? I'd say I'm dating and I'm focusing on someone right now. I've been changing the way I'd like look at, you know, relationships. This last year has been like the biggest year of growing up for me. I think I've ever had. And And I used to chase everything that glittered and had a lot of fun doing it, you know, but being back home and going through this filming and all the hard work and everything, it really opened up to my eyes of what I really want. Like, I do want this life. Like, even though this filming and construction can kick your ass, I really want to be in it. And I really want to continue this.
Starting point is 00:46:10 And I really want to build something that's, you know, long lasting and forever. And I learned, like, I can't do that chasing glitter and everything. I got to be focused. and I got to find someone that's around me. And so I'm like, I need a hometown girl, you know, and I need someone that's also just a real normal, good, you know, just down-to-earth person. And I didn't have a good, I didn't have any luck find that in New York or L.A., to be honest.
Starting point is 00:46:37 Right. Yeah. I could imagine. I could imagine. Yay for us. Yeah, for us normal, girlies. There you go. I'd say the ones that aren't in the industry are the best,
Starting point is 00:46:47 have myself on the back. I agree. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I got this vision of while you were just talking of you like being a dad to kids and like giving advice to them. Like what you said is such like a profound thing for like, you know, a young male I would consider, you know, both of you to be young males. But appreciate it. Youngish males. Young adult males. I don't know. But I just got got this vision of you like giving like your kids advice with that. And it was just that's really special. But I think your lady's a lucky lady. And I'm sure vice versa as well. There you go. I love that. I appreciate it. Head until Lemon 7?
Starting point is 00:47:29 Okie docks. This is our rapid fire. You could rapid fire. You can go into an explanation. Whatever you're... Cool. Whenever you feel, feel free to just take it. You want to start yourself?
Starting point is 00:47:41 Sure. All right. Number one. What movie or song title best describes your mental health today? there's a song by Dirk's Bentley called Riser. Yeah. Oh yeah. I freaking love that song.
Starting point is 00:47:55 And it's just about getting up, grinding, and come, you know, whether, you know, put me through the fire or whatever, like, you know, he always gets up and goes. And I think that's kind of what I've built is just like always get up and go. No matter what beats you down, no matter what's in front of you,
Starting point is 00:48:12 what's scary, get up and go. And I think Riser has been probably one of my favorite songs since like 2012. And just because that message just keeps on going and going and going. Probably like 20, I probably heard it for the first time in 20, I don't know, 2015, 2016. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:29 Love Dirks. Yeah, that's a good song. Are you kind of stagecoach? I am. Yes. We're going, yeah. I've missed it and I think this might be my 10th year. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:48:37 I know. I've never been. You haven't? I'm a rookie guy. Oh. But you love country. I love country. Dude.
Starting point is 00:48:43 Oh my gosh. It's the best. I say this every year. It's my favorite weekend of the year. We'll have to get down and have some fun. Yeah. It is so much fun. It's just like a nice environment.
Starting point is 00:48:53 I've never done Coachella because I literally have like zero desire to do it because the stage coach environment is just like, dude's drinking beers. That's the environment. It's nice. I gave up on Coachella years ago. Stage coach is where it's at. Yeah. I'm excited.
Starting point is 00:49:08 This is a good year too. Such a good year. Oh, wow. Oh, I'm excited for you. Yeah. Okay. Number two is how open are you with people in your life when struggling? Oh, I think it's certain people I'm very open with.
Starting point is 00:49:22 You know, I think there's a guy I feel fit who's been my trainer since I was in seventh grade. My mom brought me to him when I was a bad kid. And she's like, you need to punish him. And I did lunges forever. And ever since then, he's kind of been my trainer and been a big brother for me. And he's someone who I can confide into. He'll never judge me. He'll just listen and he'll give me what he thinks is his best advice.
Starting point is 00:49:47 Wow. And I love that guy so much. And just like, it's great because we've been able to continue, like, training and working out. And we do, like, fitness tours together now. But he's been my big brother and just someone to confide into. And it's important because, like, family-wise, it's hard. It's hard to talk to my dad. It's hard to talk to my brothers, especially when, like, I got to feel like I'm the leader and strong for them.
Starting point is 00:50:11 Yeah. But Phil is, you know, a leader in his family, too. So it's easy to, like, to relate, you know. And so very great. that Phil can be that ear for me. That's so cool. That's sweet. Thank goodness your mom took you there and dropped you off and said good luck. That's funny. All right. Number three, oh, if you could only follow three social media accounts, can be across platforms, but only three accounts. What would they be? Okay, three accounts. Probably need an ESPN account. Yeah. Beautiful. Probably need a David
Starting point is 00:50:46 Goggins account. Okay. You know, so I can get my ass up and going sometimes. Yeah. And the last one would probably be maybe a top country account, so I know what the heck's going on. You know, I need some good music. You're a Zach Bryan account right now.
Starting point is 00:51:04 I love his music. So I don't know. I think those are my, I would need to know what's going on music. Like, what new music I need to listen to? Yeah. What's going on in sports world and a little bit of motivation. Yeah. That's good.
Starting point is 00:51:16 you've seen Zach Bryan. Yeah, he's great. Really? Yeah, I'm dying to go. I know. Is he doing stage coach? No. That's a bummer.
Starting point is 00:51:23 He should be. He should be. That's a bummer. I know. I bet he will. I went there knowing like one song when I left. Okay.
Starting point is 00:51:29 And then as soon as I left, I downloaded all his albums. Oh yeah. He is that great. Yeah. And like the song revival, the way he closes the show out. He ends with it.
Starting point is 00:51:37 It gives you chills. It does. It goes on for 10 minutes. Oh, yeah. Like if you listen to it through Amazon or, no, is it Spotify? It plays you like the live.
Starting point is 00:51:45 the live revival and it goes off for 10 minutes and it's like fun to listen to even if you're just sitting at your house. And that's the one that the banjo guy does, the whole shtick. Yep, yeah. I think it's at Red Rocks. So, yeah, that's what you've been listening to. I've been listened to the live at Red Rocks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:59 It's so funny because I didn't realize that that was like a thing that they were doing with the banjo guy, would you say? Yeah, I asked her. This was like a couple weeks ago. I was like, have you seen the, you know, his banjo guy on stage, that whole like thing? And she's like, yeah, I saw a video of him. he was wasted. And this was me half watching a TikTok with no sound.
Starting point is 00:52:21 While I'm, I wake up before Taylor and I'll like scroll on my phone with no volume. I also just do that all the time. He gets very annoyed at me. He'll send me a video. How do you know what you're watching? She never uses volume. I just, free captions. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:52:32 But for this, I didn't watch the whole thing. And I scrolled and I was like, ooh, that's a bad look. And I just kept going. And then like a couple days later, he asked me. And I was like, oh, this makes more sense now. I'm happy that you brought that up to me because that would not have been. I think it's cool. So he's like bringing up like younger like kids to come up and like perform with him.
Starting point is 00:52:50 There's been some great ones. Yeah. It's been so cool to see. I love that. Yeah, that's great. He seems awesome. Okay. Number four is what is your favorite form of self care?
Starting point is 00:53:00 Fitness. Working out. I can tell whenever I don't work out, I get so like bottled up in my head. And then I was like, I just need a good sweat. Yeah. And lately I've just haven't been working out. I've just been renovated my house. My gym is like cluttered now because I'm,
Starting point is 00:53:15 That was like where it was my garage. And I use it like a storage too. It just sucks. Yeah. But I can tell when I'm on it, my head is so much better. Yeah. When I get out of the gym and I'm not working out, I'm not running, sweating. I guess a bottle of my head.
Starting point is 00:53:28 And obviously you can turn an inhale to a mountain, you know, that way. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I'm the same. And we had the same thing here. Our garage has always been our gym. But here it's just been a storage unit.
Starting point is 00:53:40 And it's just totally gotten me off my thing. We got to get you back. Yeah. I get you back in the garage, Jim. I know. I got to get going on that. I'm sorry. When their other house is done.
Starting point is 00:53:50 Okay. I'll move over to this one. Yeah. Not an ad. Oh, you do. It's the best gym piece of equipment in the garage. Wow.
Starting point is 00:53:56 It's incredible. Wow. Oh, wow. That's the thing. Yeah. That's the thing that I was doing with Sorensen. You could just do a class on there too. And it just, I mean, it'll put you through it.
Starting point is 00:54:06 It's got like a good sound system too. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Pretty good. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:54:10 Okay. Yeah. Tunnel in the garage. Doesn't take up space. Yeah. Yeah. Then maybe I don't have to clear it out. There you go.
Starting point is 00:54:16 Just put a tonal on the wall. Love it. All right. Five. What would you say is the most misunderstood thing about you? I think everyone calls me a fuck boy. Yeah. And I think it's because, well, one, I was single and I had a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:54:33 I love having fun, but I think there's so much more to me than what people just see. Right. And I think that's what I'm most excited about this show. Yeah. is you get to see all the layers now. You know, you get to see professional side, the serious side and emotional side. Still the fun, crazy, quirky side.
Starting point is 00:54:51 But I think people see me from the internet and these tabloids and stuff like that. And it wasn't the smartest guy the last few years, you know, like in the things I would like to do and go out. But, you know, I think that's probably my, I think my biggest misconception is, and they're like, oh, he doesn't want to settle down.
Starting point is 00:55:09 He's a player. Fuck boy, all this stuff. I'm like, no, I don't know. I do, but I definitely had to get someone out of my system. Yeah. Yeah, that'll be cool for people to see the other, you know, the other sides to you. There's a lot of growth on this show, I think. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:21 Love that. Number six is who's had the most positive impact on your mental health? Who's had the most positive impact on my mental health? I probably have to say, I got to go back to Phil. Yeah. You know, I think Phil being that outlet for me and being someone I can talk to. And he like, and like, it'll be random. too. He'll just know when to check in and call me.
Starting point is 00:55:43 And he'll know when, and he won't even have to like know what's going on my life. He just seems like he always senses it. You know, he has just been such an outlet for me. And I think he's been the most positive impact on my mental health. And, you know, it's, and now I think, you know, he's in the fitness world. So he gets to be such a positive opinion on so many. When you're a trainer, you're a therapist. Yeah, it's so true.
Starting point is 00:56:05 You know, like people just unload on you. Yeah. And so he's just so great at taking it. and helping them get through it. Yeah. You know, he's the best. Yeah. Wow. That's so cool.
Starting point is 00:56:16 All right. Last question. Number seven, if you could go back to one moment in your life, what moment would that be and what would you say to yourself? One moment in my life. Probably be at dinner with my mom. Yeah. You know, I tell myself, take my time.
Starting point is 00:56:32 Yeah. You know, ask more questions. Learn more about her. Enjoy the moment, you know. When they're gone, they're gone. You don't get to ask those questions anymore. You, you know, I don't get to dance with her at my wedding. I don't get to, you know, I don't get to do those things now.
Starting point is 00:56:50 I had a professor in college named Peter Gilbert, and he was a film guy. He did the, he did a documentary in basketball that was really famous, and I forgot what it's called now. So it must have been great. But he said his greatest, the thing he's most thankful for, the thing I still need to do, and I haven't done it yet, and I encourage everyone to give this a try, is he took his dad, put him on camera,
Starting point is 00:57:18 and just asked him his life story, and let him start from beginning to end, and then asked all the questions you ever wanted to ask his dad. And one, you get to have that incredible love of a conversation, but two, now you have that forever. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:31 And he gets to go back and watch that, you know, like every, I think he said he watches every year on like his dad's birthday or something, and it's like something like he can share with his kids, like, you know, like, this is your grandpa, you know, something I wish I would have done with my mom and something that I need to just make the time and do it with my dad.
Starting point is 00:57:50 Yeah. That's great. Wow. That's such a good reminder. That's such good advice too. Yeah. I love that. No, you had a lot of good advice.
Starting point is 00:57:58 Yeah. Well, thank you for coming on and chatting with us. I feel like we got to, like, learn more about you and, you know, show those layers that I feel like a lot of the people maybe like just read you know read a headline and don't take the time to like actually learn about you but this has been so fun yeah i just wanted to say a quick that i think some people consider you you know one of the more successful people to come off the shows and you've been on and i feel like there's you know maybe some people think that's just because you're like a super ridiculously good looking dude or whatever but i think the reason that is is just
Starting point is 00:58:37 because you are yourself and you work your ass off. And I think people, you know, read through that and can just feel it. So I'm just like, from the outside, I'm just proud of you and you deserve everything that's coming your way. No, I appreciate that. And I want to thank you guys, for one, having me on here too, but also creating a platform that, like, you guys have huge platforms and you guys are used this to have important conversations where there's so many podcasts out there in the world that's just mishmosh and talking about the same stuff like you guys talk about important meaningful things and and share many many, many lessons with many, many people. I think that's important. So very careful for what you guys do as well.
Starting point is 00:59:19 Thank you. Go check out Tyler's new show on Amazon prod. Yeah, all eight episodes. All eight episodes. All eight episodes. I know what I'm doing tonight. Thank you guys. Thanks, I appreciate y'all.
