Starting point is 00:00:09 It's Jackson, Claud and every show the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off, swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and Happy Tuesday. Yeah, you're listening to the podcast of like the most interesting girl on the planet. Claudia's in the news today. You are in the stories.
Starting point is 00:00:35 You are the stories. Do I have like a different energy? I hate this phrase, but I do feel like I have main character energy right now. Like, do you feel like everyone's talking about me? I feel like it's my birthday, the amount of people, like, blowing out my DMs and my text. I feel like I don't even know how many people are talking about you and we'll get into it because I saw you in page six this morning. And I've been seeing you in my algorithm from accounts I don't follow talking about influencer Claudia Asre being body shamed by the new real housewife. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:01 It's such trauma. I'm good body shame. Okay. I don't want to spoil it, but like I did make some news yesterday. I posted a TikTok. There was a lot of news in the Bravo universe and like it kind of had to do with me. So I spoke my truth. people were interested in my truth and hearing it.
Starting point is 00:01:14 And we'll talk, if you aren't on TikTok, I did post it on TikTok because I was like, you know, giving each to the real fans first. And so I will tell the whole story from the beginning. But I don't want to talk about that right now. I just want to say like, yes, you are listening to the podcast of like the girl in the news. And we will talk about the thing, you know, we're not going to skirt around it. And like how I'm feeling. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:32 No, I will. Like one of my like my high school bully is like. A 10 year long bullying campaign is becoming famous. I'm really excited to talk about. I really need to dig it into this, get my teeth into it and sort of trying to wrap my head around, like, what's going on here? Yeah, and I feel like a lot of people are going to be surprised at my take. I think we're going to wind up giving grace. No, I'm not going to give grace.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Like, you'll see. You're going to forgive her? Let's not spoil. Okay. We've so much to do today. I feel like you're going to forgive her. Sort of. You'll see.
Starting point is 00:02:02 We'll see where the conversation goes. And I just want to say, I'm forgiving someone who has not apologized. No, no, no. We'll talk about it. We'll talk about it. Let's talk about you. Me. How are you?
Starting point is 00:02:12 I'm good. This is you're of the most famous girl in the world. I know. Olivia's doing major things in the advertising industry. She actually is. And Satchell? Don't get me started on that. Don't get me started on Satchell.
Starting point is 00:02:23 I actually conversed with Satchel a lot yesterday because we did Redheads. Oh, wow. We recorded Redheads. It was a great fantastic episode. So many changes are like a brew at the Redheads. Every episode is sort of like. Rejiggering the format. Sort of like when they invented the Internet and like everything was just like new and different.
Starting point is 00:02:38 And there was no format. That's sort of like Redheads. right now we're changing everything up. It's a very exciting time to be a part of the community. I agree. Mm-hmm. And how are the gals? The gals were great.
Starting point is 00:02:52 The book was fun. Lots of you when Obama talk. Margo also shared at the end of the episode. But she didn't know. That she didn't know. And I don't know why I expect why she would. And you know what? I'm glad we clipped that moment yesterday
Starting point is 00:03:02 because the comments did make me feel less alone. Like I like to pride myself on like being a decently smart person. Like I know what goes on in the world. I don't like walk around with like my head always up. ass. And so I did feel like a little bit of shame that I didn't know who that was, but shout out to my fellow Zillenials. Excuse me, Zillenials. You've heard of him, right? From you, like I've heard the word Unabomber. And the red light thing, right? No, what's that? I told you about this once. And we were talking about it on the episode,
Starting point is 00:03:26 but it was also in the show Manhunt. Like, you know, the Unabonimer was like a crazy individual. However, like there are like small parts of his manifesto. You know, like technology. We should be aware. It doesn't mean we should kill. people, but like, you know, limit your screen time. Of course, of course. I want to say, like, Jonathan Haight is kind of the unabomber of our time. Well, that's what I said in the show. I was like, that's like a nice medium of like, you know.
Starting point is 00:03:53 Well, no, you can have like radical thoughts on anything. You just can't kill people who disagree with you. But also, it's like, you can't stop progress. You can't stop technology. You're supposed to live in the Stone Age forever. No, that's not good. But parameters. What's red light?
Starting point is 00:04:07 Boundaries. Okay. So in the show, like, One of his things, it's like when you're at a red light and there's no cars. Yes. Oh my God. I love this. Either which way. No, don't. I feel bad loving it because it's like a Unabomber theory. But like when there's no cars coming any which way and it's like you don't go because there's a red light telling you not to go. And like you could just go.
Starting point is 00:04:26 Yeah, but that's what separates like man from monster. Yeah. And that's what's like being a civilian and a civic society. That's always what I think what I'm driving. Even when I'm not driving my best. It's like I know that the other people around me also don't want to get an accident. So even if I'm wrong, like they're going to get out of. my way. No, but that's not what this is. This is like, there's no reason why you can't go other than just like a red light telling you, the law. But in this moment, like, you could technically go.
Starting point is 00:04:51 I mean, I would never. And I don't put, when I'm like there and I'm like, I could go, but I'm not because of this like red light. What does that have to do with the Unabomber? That was like something that he was like saying in the show. You know, why are you staying at the red light when you can just go? Like he's anti-government, anti-law. Got it. Got it got it. And actually in the show, the guy who is investigating him. Who plays the Unabomber in the show? Oh, someone like... That we know, like someone famous? He looked more like him.
Starting point is 00:05:17 Hold on. Unabom. Manheim, Unabon. Cameron Grant? No, I don't think we know him. Okay. Oh, Richard Jewell. Remember him? No.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Yes, you do. I'm on IMD. Give me a second. Paul Bettney. Oh, my God, I forgot about Richard Jewel. I'm just... Who's Richard Jewel? Show me. Do you remember that with the...
Starting point is 00:05:44 Chris and all. is in Manhunt. There's a couple different iterations of Manhunt. Claudia, remember the movie Richard Jewell? No. Yes, you do. Maybe, I think if you think that if you keep saying it, I'll remember, but I don't. You will, Claudia.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Can you show me? Yes, yes. Remember he got like. Of course, Richard Jewel. What was his story again? They thought that he planted the bomb at the Olympics in Georgia. And it was just a guy. And it wasn't him.
Starting point is 00:06:18 And his whole life was turned upside down. Richard Jewell. Fucking Richard Jewel. Those are the kinds of kind of stories, like I love. Not obviously that that happened to, but like these random niche. Yeah. Oh my God. So yeah, Richard Jewel is like associated with the Unabomber.
Starting point is 00:06:32 As in just like crazy times. Yeah. Anyways. The Redheads are doing well. The Redheads are doing well. Oh, but just to finish my thought in the show, the guy who's like investigating the man Unabomber like sort of starts to like take on his beliefs. Beliefs a little bit.
Starting point is 00:06:47 And by the end, like, he's living out in the woods. And that's just, like, Hollywood, like. Because that definitely didn't happen. Muronic. Yeah, that's moronic. Yeah. Neuronic. Um, I watched a Real House, I did something crazy last night.
Starting point is 00:07:02 Crack? Crazier. Matt? I caught up on the Real House of Beverly Hills. And then I watched Watch Rappans Live, which was, like, such a lackluster episode with, like, with Amanda Francis, which was crazy because she actually wasn't in this week's episode of. They obviously just didn't program that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:16 And then Golness, because it was the finale. of Shaz and like the two of them are so polar opposite. And even though like Amanda wasn't on the episode of Beverly Hills, it was her first time I watched Happens Live and like she's kind of this interesting character. So there was like a lot of attention being patron. I feel like Gigi was like hating that. She kept like talking about Amanda's questions. But I will say it was kind of a good showing for Amanda Francis.
Starting point is 00:07:36 Like she's still like nutty and whatever, but she dressed very head on like that people say her business is a scam and like all the things we kind of think about her and like how she walks into the room purse first, you know. I have sunscreen in my Chanel backpack. Oh, I have that bag. And she was like, I'm sorry, I thought that's what we were doing. Like, this is a show about affluent women. And, like, these women do it all the time.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Like, every time they're on TV, it's like they show how much their purse costs. So I don't know. It was kind of a good showing for her. Yeah, they're more subtle about it, though. Of course. She's just, like, tacky by nature. It was just like a weird episode of Watch Trump's Live, but I kind of liked it. Oh, and then my favorites were bartending.
Starting point is 00:08:07 It was such a crazy episode. Who was that guy? A twink and a redhead. You know their song? No, I saw his Instagram post. He said that he accidentally, like, insulted Amanda. Did it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:21 They didn't even talk. Like, Andy never gives the bartenders a minute to speak, but he gave them a particularly small amount. I didn't realize this happened last night. I saw it this morning. But this wasn't from last night. This was from last week. Okay, so from last week when Andy threw to the bartenders, they were like, what do you think about Amanda? And the redheads like, love you, whatever.
Starting point is 00:08:37 And he's like, I've been seeing all the comments, but I think you're great. And he, like, came on. And she was insulted. She, like, turned around. He was like, I didn't need to clock her like that. I don't even know her. And it's crazy because they got three seconds of airtime. He's like, I'm so sorry.
Starting point is 00:08:51 No, funny. And I really like that they make like funny, you know, TikTok content. I feel like I've sent it to you before. So, yeah, watch Watch Watch Times Live. I felt like that was really crazy in me. Ben was out. So I had nothing to do. I always like to watch Watch What Happens Live.
Starting point is 00:09:02 It's a little more subject material on the subject. Yes, exactly. Contextualizing the context. Yeah. Secondary and tertiary sources. Yes. And I prefer primary sources, obviously. In the MLA format.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Yes, of course. And did you write your bibliography today or are you going to give it to me tomorrow? It's pending. I am so glad I never have to write another fucking bibliography. Like those were some of the like the lowest points of my entire life. I don't know. The bibliography is like an extra page. Like maybe we can make it go longer.
Starting point is 00:09:27 No, but like they knew. In hindsight, like why was it so hard? There's a format. I know. You put it in the format. I know. I were we struggling. Because I feel like the bibliography like you, because I was never one who like
Starting point is 00:09:38 wrote amazing essays. I feel like if you looked at my bibliography, like you could. It was kind of like a window into like how little I cared. Like and how bad the essay. truly was like you can hide but like the bibliography shows facts understood but you should need to just like get a random text take one piece of information and cite it and like for a couple of random texts and even though you got your whole paper from like one book course you have a bunch of random texts and i just don't feel like getting to lost in the minutia of like the mLA formatted bibliography really
Starting point is 00:10:08 prepared me for life in any meaningful way what about j store remind me like where you would go and read like PDFs like J store. Do you remember J-S-T-O-R? Yeah. And you would just read like somebody's work. Like I said, some of the worst fucking times of my life, like lowest points of my life was like midnight the night before a paper was do like just getting the bibliography together. Oh, I have chills just thinking about it.
Starting point is 00:10:34 The reading is on J-Store. Good luck with that. I don't even think I had an account, you know? Like I was not participating in the readings. What does J-Store stand for? Just seriously. kill me now. Like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:10:49 I just feel like I'm doing really well in life for like never having done a proper bibliography. Like I was always losing points on the bibliography, you know? Yeah, I feel like
Starting point is 00:10:57 the bibliography wasn't my favorite but it wasn't my least favorite. Well, the bibliography, like when you got to that point, like it was the beginning of the end. Yeah. And it's like, okay, I just have to plug in names and numbers.
Starting point is 00:11:06 Like I don't have to think. But I was somehow like always doing it wrong. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, now I'm sure you could just like do like plug in my bibliography. No, chat probably has its own format that would give you away in two seconds.
Starting point is 00:11:20 Oh, it's in person. Yeah. Like I said, sometimes when I'm like, like, can't sleep or whatever, I do think about, like, the fact that I'm so grateful I never have to go to school again. Like, school was really just like the worst. Like homework paper. Then you go to sleep and you're back at school. I have so many dreams that I have so many dreams that I forgot that I didn't take four classes
Starting point is 00:11:39 this semester. Okay, yeah. My dream. And I'm not going to be able to graduate on time. Yeah, my dream is that like I signed up for a class in college. and like I went to the first couple of. Yeah, yeah, okay. I went to the first couple of sessions and then like I forgot all about it.
Starting point is 00:11:53 No, no, I don't remember if I dropped it, if I stayed in. Did I ever graduate because of that one class? No, and I never went back to some of it. It's like I dropped it, but I never picked up another class, so I will be one credit short. And some of it is I never went to class ever again. Did I even count me anymore because of my attendance? Did I submit any? And how am I ever going to pass the final?
Starting point is 00:12:13 1,000 for that. Do I even have to take the final? Those are the fucking worse. And it's like, did I ever even do that that's in my subconscious? Did you ever like drop a class? You mean? Yeah, like, no. No.
Starting point is 00:12:24 And then watching Tommy Lies like didn't help. It just like brought all those feelings back. I was having the dreams a lot. Yeah. No, but that's recurring. But for everyone too. And I don't know what. You know, that's like a universal.
Starting point is 00:12:34 I wonder like if you didn't go to college. Do you have that dream? You have it about high school or like whatever your most recent schooling system was. You think? I don't know. Sound off for the comments. It sounds like a reason to not go to college. Just to save yourself the truck.
Starting point is 00:12:45 Yeah. Sound off in the comments. If you didn't go to college, what are your nightmares about? Yeah. Love that. We have your toasters today. We have stories about turd self. So I'm ready to dive in if you are.

Starting point is 00:14:41 This is exactly what Roeback is serving in their new drops. So their mock neck is back in stock. Mock necks are having a really big moment right now and Robex is one of the most popular ones, like all the cool girls on TikTok are wearing them. It's a very cute embroidery on it. Really cute, especially for a man who, like you don't want them to look like a slob with them wearing sweatpants. Today's episode, excuse me, I got emotional. Today's episode is brought to you by Clearstem, a hard delicious skincare company, and we are really excited to talk about their newest launch, which is the glass effect, instant hydrating face and neck mask. So I'm a neck girl. Like, I'm always worried about my
Starting point is 00:16:06 neck. I have like fine lines in my neck. I spend a lot of time on my phone. If you work at a desk, you might have a thing called tech neck. So we should all be in this day. in age, like as women of a certain age and as women in the digital landscape, we should be taking care of our neck. And so like neck creams, neck masks. I love this clear stem product. It's a new sheet mask. It supports your face, but also your neck. This mask creates a perfect canvas by smoothing the skin, fixing texture. It's very smoothing. So it's ideal if you have irritated skin from breakouts or harsh treatments. We should just all be taking care of our necks. I feel like neck is a very, like, it's a very forgotten about area when it comes to skincare. I think a lot of
Starting point is 00:16:38 people like have a lot of like dirt makeup that they leave on their neck throughout the night and day. And so just taking care of your neck is really important. And clear stem is a great brand. It's a first acne brand that connects internal and external skin care through supplements, topicles, no poor clogging ingredients. Most anti-aging products will break you out. Most anti-acne products age you. But now there's clear stem. They target breakouts inside and out with a full routine, nutrition, supplements, and clinically
Starting point is 00:17:03 effective topicles. So clear is more than skin deep. The TikTok viral best. seller mind-body skin, which I think is like a gateway product for a lot of people to clear stem. It targets hormonal acne at the root without the harsh side effects. So discover the clear stem difference because clear skin changes everything. Go to clearstem.com slash toast. Use code toast at checkout for 15% off your first order.
Starting point is 00:17:23 C-L-E-A-R-S-T-E-M dot com slash toast. Code toast for 15% off. Clearstem.com slash toast. Thank you, ClearTurt. You're welcome. Our first story, new Rony cast members have been revealed, part one of story. So Real Houses of New York and Bravo announced yesterday the new cast members
Starting point is 00:17:43 for the new season of Real Housewives of New York. Some familiar names including Aaron Leachie, Jessel Tank. We know Jessel very well here. Of course. I'm sitting next to her. And Cy De Silva. So it seems like everyone else from previous castes like has been Uber's gone, Jenna Lyons is gone.
Starting point is 00:18:01 I forget who, I don't even know. Oh, Rebecca Mankoff. Okay. So it's just these three girls from the original reboot cast. Okay. And then they've added Erica Hammond, who is a celebrity fitness trainer and friend of Claudia's. She's a great casting. She's very pretty. She's very wealthy. Her husband.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Oh, they're one of our sponsors, Built. Built Rewards. It's like the rewards company that gives you points for paying rent. He started that company. Actually, he's one of Ben's really good friends. They're like a very interesting couple. They're like very well traveled. They're very, very wealthy.
Starting point is 00:18:30 And she has like such an interesting background. She's one of the co-founders of Rumble, like the popular boxing. And she used to be in the WWB. So like that's the type of gal we want to see. Like it's literally a perfect casting. And I knew she was going to be on the show. I found out a couple of months ago. And I thought, you know what?
Starting point is 00:18:44 Hope reigns eternal. Like, oh, you knew that? I did know that. And I thought it was really a perfect casting. I didn't know that was happening. When we talk about Real Housewives of New York, we're always talking about affluent women, interesting women.
Starting point is 00:18:54 And I thought, great, maybe her and some of her, like, wealthy friends will be. And it seems like they got it right with Erica. And I genuinely don't know where they went with the rest of them. So then the other lady is Daisy Toy, who's a celebrity makeup artist. I think she does Martha Stewart. And then Haley Glassman, who is a public relations professional.
Starting point is 00:19:14 And I think her claim to fame is that she used to date John Gosselin. Oh, yeah, she, ex-wife, I think. Oh, really? I don't know. I thought I saw ex-wife. I thought it was girlfriend, whatever. Ex-girlfriend. I was so confused.
Starting point is 00:19:29 I feel like the Roney reboot, like, really got it wrong. Like, from the start. And they kind of refused to acknowledge that. So I think people have been saying for years, like, please boil down the original cast to Jessel, Aaron, and Sye. Like, those were the three who were most liked. And so they finally, like, listen to the fans a little bit. I don't know why they had to, like, go so random and also, like, so all over the place, right? Because, like I said, Erica's the perfect person for this.
Starting point is 00:19:59 Why is she on the same show as John Gosselin's ex-girlfriend? Like, yeah. I'm so confused. I'm so confused. But then, obviously, to make everything about myself, I had known Erica, and then I was curious, I didn't know the other two people. And so I was, like, doing a deep dive.
Starting point is 00:20:12 And when I saw, I literally saw it on Dumas before they announced it. It said, Haley Glassman. And I was like, that name sounds so familiar. Like, I saw it, it didn't sound familiar. It looked familiar. Like, I'd seen that name before. I was like, who the fuck? Why do I know this name?
Starting point is 00:20:25 Went to her Instagram. And I was like, oh, wait, I think I know. So I went to our messages. And I was like, yes. You know, we have people who, like, troll us professionally. And like we know their names, that girl Megan. Like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:36 And there's not that many that I book. Yeah. There are a couple names that I'm like, this one's trouble. Yes. And I was like, oh my God, yes. I scroll up. We must have like, well, not we. She has messaged me probably like 50 times since 2017.
Starting point is 00:20:51 And the crazy thing is I noticed she unfollowed me before I made my TikTok or anything. So like she. She's done with you. She's done with you. She's been a long time fan. And she's always like trolling me. She's making mostly about my weight. She's clearly like one of these like just weight upset.
Starting point is 00:21:04 people. She was always commenting on my weight. I think her family owns a plastic surgery company. Yeah, they must because she was hashtag in Glassman plastic surgery in the DMs. She was sending me messages being like, why you've lost a lot of weight. When you need a necklift, I'll
Starting point is 00:21:19 find the right doctor for you. I'm like, oh my God, okay. She was calling Benfat. Like, her DMs to me over the court. And some of them are also really nice being like so happy for you when I got pregnant, which is true like crazy fan troll behavior. Like, your biggest trolls are your biggest fans and your biggest haters. So like that's always like very atrope.
Starting point is 00:21:36 Like when you respond to like a hater who's like calling you ugly, you were like, excuse me. And they're like, oh my God, I'm so sorry. I love you so much. It's like a real mental disease where like you're obsessed with this person in both positive and negative extreme ways. So I was like, how is this person a real housewife? Like you've been trolling me for almost 10 years.
Starting point is 00:21:53 But I don't even know what to call it like because is she a fan or is she a hater? Like I couldn't put it together. She's like a bit of both. Like really a bit of both. And it was reminding me of. Monica from Salt Lake City, like a crazy internet troll becoming a housewife. Yeah. And I was so on a sleep test.
Starting point is 00:22:12 I'm not going to lie. Like, not this, like, being about me. Having to do with you. Of course, I made a TikTok about it. I wasn't sure if people were going to care, like, at all. And the TikTok blew up. It's everywhere. I just think that's really crazy.
Starting point is 00:22:22 Because for a real housewife, like, you expect that it's like a dignified individual who's hopefully too busy to even being engaging in a behavior like this. That's not what we expect from. Real Housewives. Of course. It's supposed to be, we always say it's like a very, why can I never remember this word?
Starting point is 00:22:40 Aspirational. Thank you. It's supposed to be an aspirational show about women who are successful, women who are wealthy, women who are fabulous, and women who we would like to be. Now, obviously the show
Starting point is 00:22:48 has taken a turn in recent years where it's very just like reality TV. So I feel a little conflicted because while like, you know, this is not the real housewives I grew up with, in this day and age, like the crazier you are,
Starting point is 00:23:01 the better TV you make and like a really crazy deranged person. is what it takes to, like, be a professional troll for almost a decade, that I kind of feel like she's going to be amazing on the show. Maybe, because, like, those DMs were, like, while they speak to, like, some sort of wacky personality that might make for good TV. And when we think about, like, the greats in terms of, like, the last, you know, amazing season, like, we think of, like, the Ashley Jacobs.
Starting point is 00:23:24 Like, that was crazy times. Like, you think of, like, the truly crazy people. I don't consider Ashley Jacobs one of the greats. I think that I consider a great time. I don't know. It was really dark. It was dark, actually. You're right.
Starting point is 00:23:34 It was really dark. I don't know. I just think like in order to be like a successful reality TV villain, you have to be like a legitimate crazy person. And I think they might have found one in her. Yeah. So people are like leaving my comments. People who are willing to just like not look so amazing all the time.
Starting point is 00:23:50 People who have nothing to lose. Yeah. But but not that they're putting it on like oh, I don't care how I look. I'm going to be the villain. It's like they seriously can't help themselves. Correct. Like very Tom Sandball, very narcissistic.
Starting point is 00:24:00 So a lot of my, almost all my comments are like flooded like at Bravo. Like fire her. I just want to say, I do not want her to be fired. Like, this franchise is so random and weird. Like, sure, throw in a crazy person. Like, maybe that's just the thing they've been missing. Maybe everyone they've cast have been, like, a little too sound of mind. Yeah, and then safe and nobody wants to, like, ruin their lives.
Starting point is 00:24:20 So I wasn't making the TikTok, like, calling for her to be fired. I just want to say, like, please don't fire her. Like, she sounds kind of interesting. She sounds perfect. Yeah, because, like, it's not like it's this perfect cast already. Like, I don't know what's going on with the franchise and why they kind of refuse to call it. But sure, let's know a crazy person in there. Yeah, I agree.
Starting point is 00:24:37 I don't think she needs to be fired. No, don't fire her. I wonder if she'll reach out to you. Oh, sorry. She blocked me. She blocked the toast. She blocked my, like, personal Instagram club with her dog. I mean, I understand.
Starting point is 00:24:49 Imagine she's having, like, a big day yesterday. And, like, but the thing is, like, she's just, she just, like, told everyone who she is. Like, it's not even like she did something that, like, once that was like, ooh. Yeah, no. And I just want to say, like, I forgive you. Even though you haven't apologized.
Starting point is 00:25:07 Like you understand. Yeah, no, no. I actually really do not want her to be fired. I don't think she's going to be, but I don't want her to be. Yeah. No, no, no. And now, because now I'm honestly intrigued. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Oh, wait. And the other part of this story is that Carol Radswell. So they announced Carol coming back as a friend of Roney Legacy before they announced the cast. So I was like, oh, one of the new girls must be a friend of Carol. No. What the hell is she doing on this show? I don't know. And I heard that she, like, sued Ryan Murphy into not using her name and love story.
Starting point is 00:25:37 That's why she's not in it at all. Oh, interesting. Although, I will say Ryan Murphy doesn't give a fuck. Did she what he said about Jack Schlossberg? No. Jack Schlossberg is, like, you know, doing, like, press. But Jack Schlossberg is talking shit about the show. Well, so it pre, it's, Jack Schlesberg just did a big interview, which is why this is coming back.
Starting point is 00:25:55 But when the show was announced and those paparazzi pictures got leaked, he was like, this is my family, real people. and Ryan Murphy was asked about it on a podcast and he was like, I don't really care what this person thinks. Like he never even met John F. Kennedy Jr. And now, yes, Josh Schauchberg was really young. It's kind of a crazy fucking thing for Ryan to say. But Ryan doesn't give a fuck.
Starting point is 00:26:13 That's what I mean. So I doubt he could be intimidated by Carol Radzwell, like just saying. Yeah. If he wasn't intimidated by an actual Kennedy. I don't think people are intimidated by Jack. I think that's like an easy one to go after. Yes. I just want to say like Jack Schossberg's pissing me off because like he's doing all
Starting point is 00:26:30 press about how bad the Kennedy show is and it's mean and yada yada. And it's like, sure, well, maybe Ryan Murphy, like, could have spoken to more Kennedys about it, like, involved them more. But he's really, like, riding the coattails of this Kennedy resurgence. Like, he has this, like, like, campaign for Congress. And he's, like, living it up, dressing like JFK, doing events like JFK Jr. And the only reason people care again is because of this show. So, like, you're knocking it so much when you're benefiting so greatly from it. Like, why don't you just, like, quiet? Yeah, I'm not paying that much attention, but I do feel like, and I have to watch more episodes,
Starting point is 00:27:05 but I don't know, I do feel like they don't know the first thing about those two. I agree. Because I'm sorry, like the more I think about the fight in the park, you're well into your 30s. You've been a public figure your entire life and you're fighting with your girlfriend, the love of your life physically in the park. Yeah. That's like a crazy person. Yeah, and that's what I feel like Carolyn specifically was so private.
Starting point is 00:27:28 Like there's only like two on record interviews and they're 30 seconds long. She's just like being paparazzi. Nobody really knows her personality. So we're sort of making it up as we go. There's like a couple of biographies written about her and they all say conflicting things, mind you. So like nobody knows her. And the version of JFK that we know is like the presidential polished press version. That's not who he really was.
Starting point is 00:27:46 So we're just sort of guessing and like fictionalizing. Which, okay, sure. But I do feel like this will be the record. What's on record about who they were. And if we don't know, it's kind of crazy to just put that out there and say, this is who they were. It's kind of like how the crown represents the royal family. And I feel like they did a pretty good job. But that's how we think of them.
Starting point is 00:28:09 But there's so much source material on the royals. There's nothing. No. And so I think they did a pretty good job portraying everyone, given, like, you know, they are an enigma. But here it's like, I don't know. Not saying you shouldn't have made the show, but. No, and back to Carol. Like, what is she doing on this show?
Starting point is 00:28:26 As far as I know, she's not really friendly with any of the women. She'll be on Roney new, but she won't be on Love Story. And I was shook at the comments. People really hate Carol. They call her Carol Epstein. Oh, also, yeah. Yeah, she's like a... Gleyn's BFF.
Starting point is 00:28:43 Yeah, so it's not only does her casting make no sense. It's sort of like a controversial thing for them to have done. For what? Like, for what purpose? Yeah, wait, I forgot about that as well. She's very heavily, like, she, there's a lot of, she's heavily mentioned in in regards to Galane
Starting point is 00:29:00 yeah like Elaine is her girl there's a lot of emails of her and Galay mean like I love you so much like that's your girl yeah it's a really crazy casting given that I had a best friend and they were like involved in human trafficking that I could sniff that out so Carols are really crazy casting given that and given the fact that she has no
Starting point is 00:29:19 known ties to this cast yeah no it's really but forget known ties like she's downtown and like she could throw herself in the mix whatever and I'm sure she's She's glad it's not like Bethany and the ladies who like don't like her anymore. Epstein, I'm sorry. It's really crazy. It's just missed the whole point.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Yeah. So this was such a weird announcement. I don't know. I don't watch your own legacy, so I don't feel like I have like a leg to stand on in terms of how the cast. So if you are like, if you watch a show, like what do you think? Right. I don't feel like I don't know what's right for the show.
Starting point is 00:29:47 Newbies. Like I don't know what's right for the show either. I can't help you guys. Like you can't help yourselves. Yeah. Everyone's like bring Jenna Lyons back. I don't know. This is where I leave.
Starting point is 00:29:56 you again, you know? Yeah, and it feels like in the last two, three years they've been obsessed with getting people with names, right? Like, Jan Alliance, who contributed nothing but was a name, Rebecca Minkoff contributed nothing but a big name. So now they're going, like, maybe like the opposite, like names that you don't know, sort of like John Gosson's ex-girlfriend. Yeah, but crazy because Rebecca Minkoff doesn't want to tarnish her brand.
Starting point is 00:30:15 Right. And she shouldn't. Even though I want to say Rachel Zoe is proving, like you can be a big wig, a big name, and contribute to a show in a really meaningful way. Yeah, but you have to be, it's a hard. A hard line to walk. Yes, agreed. And are you going to be on the show now?
Starting point is 00:30:32 No, I'm not. What if they called you in and said, we heard you and we want you on the show? An idea was floated to me about like a dinner and I said no. Like I, first of all, all I do is sit on this podcast, talk about how bad the show is. And then I'm like, yeah, I'm going on it. I really have no desire to be on like a Bravo show.
Starting point is 00:30:53 So, um. Okay. What if? Okay. What if they say? seriously, not just a dinner, what they said to you, like, full cast member. No, oh my God, that's worse. No, I really don't.
Starting point is 00:31:03 I really don't want to be. Okay. Like, I think whenever I read the comments of like a Bravo Lebrides' Instagram, I'm like, oh my God. Yeah, you don't want to put yourself in that world. There's very high highs when it comes to being a Bravo Liberty, but like, seriously, it's a very impassioned fan base, and like, that comes with both positives and negatives, and I seriously want a part of it.
Starting point is 00:31:21 I'm really happy on my corner of the internet. Also, I imagine you would not ever do reality TV, but if you were, two it certainly wouldn't be Roney no and if it was gonna be Roney like I'd have to move to Beverly Hills you know what I mean like of all the franchises it's not gonna be New York like what do they call that one reboot legacy I keep calling a legacy but that's the old one yeah everything's OG legacy what's a new one new one Roney Rony Reboot okay um so yeah it wouldn't be that um Nana okay well let's the games begin this is all good for Roney reboot it is Our next story.
Starting point is 00:31:59 Sturry. Alex Earl is sobbing over Taylor Swift's song after seeing Braxton for the first time since their breakup. So Alex posted a TikTok of herself sobbing in reaction to a fan's comment about her video last week in which she spoke about seeing Braxton for the first time since their breakup last year. In the original video, she admitted it was really hard and really weird to see him again. She said it was really emotional the first night. We were like in the same place, but we didn't say hi to each other just because I didn't want to like go up and annoy him.
Starting point is 00:32:23 I don't know. She said they eventually briefly greeted one another. on the second night of the event. It's weird when you go from someone being like your best friend to being a stranger in the corner of the room. So that was tough. And by tough, I mean terrible.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Yeah, I just want to say, this is going to be like an annoying thing to say, but I've never like experienced a breakup. Like it's so crazy. Like especially like if you're in like the same friend group. Like this is a person who like, was you like,
Starting point is 00:32:47 you're like your husband. Like you went together. Yeah, you told everything to like couldn't have a thought without sharing it with them. And now they are a stranger. That's really crazy. It is really crazy. I appreciate her.
Starting point is 00:32:56 sharing this and like what if you just got back together right it seems like she didn't just like dump him for greener pastures right or if she did she might be like regretting it i don't think she did i wonder what happened i also you know what i watched a little bit of yesterday very very young and on trend of me oh my god what her youtube yeah it's good the new hot mess what's it called get ready with me get on oh oh you mean her like podcast show her podcast show which one did you watch sassy yeah and she was saying that she had a really cute conversation because she was saying that you know she she was admiring Stasi's brown hair and how she's like thought of, you know, eventually going on that journey for herself.
Starting point is 00:33:31 And Sassie was like, you should. And she was like, I can't right now because I'm seeing my ex next week. And so if it doesn't look good, like I don't want to see him like that. That's so funny. But maybe now that she's done seeing him, she'll dye her hair. I spoke about this with Danielle Caroleon when she was on the podcast because she shared that she's not a natural blonde. And I was shocked to hear that.
Starting point is 00:33:48 There is a pipeline of like successful women who have been like blonde most of their life realizing like that they were always meant to be their natural hair color, which is Brown. I feel like Stasi's having that journey right now. I think a great example of it is Danielle Bernstein, who was like bleach blonde for many years. And now we look back, we're like, what the hell was she thinking? Like her hair is so meant to be the color that it is now. And I wonder if that'll happen with Alex Earl. It's one of my favorite arcs. Like it happened with Sally Carson on Southern Charm. First season she was on, she was blonde. And then she discovered she's a winter. Yeah. And she looks amazing. I think people. And then we did face app on Danielle Caroline and we made her Burnett. And actually,
Starting point is 00:34:20 I don't think she should go brunette. No, I like her as a blonde. But then if she's, you and pre-not, I'd also say this is great. But I also think, like, you can be blonde for a time and then go back to your roots. Like, I think Stasi being a blonde in the early days of Anna-Promp rules, like that was necessary. Yeah. And when you are, like, really young, like the phrase, blondes have more fun. I don't think it's that. I think it's not.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Like, you're the blonde girl. Mm-hmm. You're the girl who took a chance, you know? Yeah. Who put herself out there creatively. Yeah. So maybe that's next for Alex. I could actually see that.
Starting point is 00:34:51 But also, like, get back together with Raxon, if it hurts so bad. I know. like, I don't know what the proper timeline is for a breakup, but if, because it was New years, right? And so almost three months later, like, I guess it was the first time that she saw. I'm like, maybe this is normal, but like, maybe you just like get back together. But then someone commented saying, you just described the lyrics of New Year's Day by Taylor Swift. And then she posted a video responding to that saying, of her sobbing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:16 Saying Alex hasn't been posting as much, probably because this is me spiraling every night. I also feel like Alex, um, just in regards to her posting. because I saw like a TikTok she made like a week ago being like I've been posted in so long. She was like doing her makeup. I feel like she's doing the reality show. She's doing her podcast. And like when you have so much content like different places, I feel like it's like, well, what do I post?
Starting point is 00:35:40 She doesn't, right. And she doesn't want to like spoil something on the show by posting it on TikTok. And I feel like she's kind of in a tough spot with like what to post. Yeah. But I also really. And it used to be get ready with me. But now everywhere she goes, she gets glam. Like I commend her for sharing that she's like sad about Braxton.
Starting point is 00:35:55 because I just like would have assumed that when you're a celebrity like you don't like talk about your feelings because the other person's going to see it you know it's not like you're just like talking to your girl you have to like be cool yeah and she's not being cool but I think that's like another reason my people love her I did not expect her to like be crying on the internet about Braxton I hope because we all know it's about Braxton I hope Braxton like saw and texted her and get back together maybe he needs to propose I shouldn't say like you know I haven't been rooting for them but like this made me like really sad and I kind of think they should get back together. I think so too. She was so happy. What could have went wrong? I don't know. I do feel like she thought
Starting point is 00:36:30 maybe this relationship was holding her back, like from something. I think that would be very. And then it was just becoming a lot of work with him being in Houston. Like it wasn't worth it anymore. Love is always worth it. Well, that's as a lesson. Maybe she's learning the hard way. Okay. Well, I'm holding out hope for that. Me too. Are you ready for our next story? Another memoir forthcoming. It wasn't a big announcement. It was actually announced in like in a different sort of why Dach Shepherd shared on his podcast. Really? That he is writing his memoir,
Starting point is 00:36:59 which will cover his child sexual abuse. So he had Marcus Mumford. Is he? Yeah. Yeah, so he has a story to tell. He had Marcus Mumford on his podcast, and Marcus was talking about his child sexual abuse and that's also referenced in his song Cannibal.
Starting point is 00:37:17 And then Dax revealed that he has been documenting his own story in a forthcoming memoir. He said, I want to bond with you on this experience, which is I have for you. years on here been acknowledging that I had been molested and that was its own hurdle to just say that and I got quite comfortable being able to say that that was fine now I'm writing a memoir and last year really the whole year was about do I have the balls to write down the details of this because the details were always going to be mine I didn't want anyone to be envisioning me it's weird that right
Starting point is 00:37:43 that was still some wall between my shame oh well first of all it's like a soft launch like we didn't get a cover and title or anything but what do you think I think the title should be armchair expert Oh, like in the armchair. Like something about how he's now telling his story where he usually has people in his chair. Yeah, but also it's like how he became the armchair. Like he is the armchair expert.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Like how yours is girl with no job. Before the chair. Like, no, just. No, I think he needs to reference the chair, but I don't think he should have it be the same name as his podcast, especially because like we're assuming an armchair expert someone else's story. Like now it's his.
Starting point is 00:38:19 So it's like in my own armchair. In the arms of a chair. I like, I'm assuming. like that but like how yours is girl with no job because that's your pronoun yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah that's my pronoun girl slash with no job i like that his is arm slash chair yeah that's a good title no i think i think the arm chair has to be in there i do i need to say something okay so i've been getting tagged a lot i think with like the resurgence of resafarahan being on tv again a lot of people are tagging me in his memoirs being like oh my god claudia
Starting point is 00:38:55 he named his book memoirs of a gay shot because he's Persian and he's gay. Being like, that's your dream because we're always saying the perfect title is Memoirs of a Geisha. That's where like the whole joke started from. Like with us. Like I knew he teased his memoirs like 10 years ago. I don't know if it came out already or he's. Yeah, it did. Oh, so he's just like continually promoting it.
Starting point is 00:39:15 Yeah, no, people, no, people think it's like a new book. Yeah, and they just comment. Do you guys know Reza's memoirs? We know. That's where like the whole thing comes from. And it's very exciting for us. Like one person who. did it right what they needed to do. Yeah and so like it was he inspired our we didn't inspire him.
Starting point is 00:39:30 I think but also we were both inspired by memoirs of a geisha. Oh but but of course an inspirational tale. I need to read it. I need to see it. I feel like I would love it. I think you would too. I think it's like world renowned. Yeah everyone loves it but I also think like I would like everyone loves it. Everybody loves us. They do. Um so excited for taxes memoirs. I feel like it'll be strong memoirs. Yeah, I mean, between his celebrity marriage, he's on like one of the most, I hated it, but one of the most acclaimed shows for many years, parenthood that people are like obsessed with the lore of, um, addiction, childhood. Melestation, but also he has like just big personality and insights. And then building like a really, really successful podcast. I mean, read it.
Starting point is 00:40:12 Yeah, and mark me down. We were just talking about how them as a couple, like they have an insane net worth, right? Like they're both kind of crushing it. And I would like to know a little bit about, I'm sure he'll talk about it because they're always talking about like the, awkward dynamics of their relationship. Like when you marry someone in the same industry and like he was very much like when they got together like the lesser earner and the lesser everything. And I think she sort of lifted him up.
Starting point is 00:40:34 So I'm just curious about them in general. Yeah. And I'm sure he'll also talk about like being a parent, which is subject material that I'm very interested in. And I think he's just sort of like polarizing to people. And people like that always make good books. Yeah. He's like always saying stuff on his podcast that like people hate.
Starting point is 00:40:48 I feel like only one time he did that. Oh, what are you referencing? Like Jonathan Dennis. Okay. So if we both have the same one. Do you have a second? Yeah, he's just the thing with Cher. And Kristen Bell showed up. Like, he's always, he's sort of like toxic masculinity.
Starting point is 00:41:02 Like, oh, really? Yes, he's very, guys, I'm not wrong about this. He's very, I have no problem with him. I don't know what the hell he's talking about. I don't listen. When I think of divisive podcasters, I don't think of him. Because they're so, because. Oh, no, Jackie, he's like up there.
Starting point is 00:41:13 What? Yeah. He's America's sweetheart. Everybody loves him. Should I ask chat? No, I feel like. Is Jack Shepard and his podcast considered polarizing? I feel like the commenters will let us know,
Starting point is 00:41:25 but I, especially because the podcast realm has so many polarizing characters that when you compare him to the others, he's so lukewarm. So funny. When I asked chat, of course the Jonathan Van Ness thing comes up. But a lot of his comments and about personal topics
Starting point is 00:41:44 get criticized for being cringe and awkward moments to discuss on social media. Okay, maybe, am I, maybe it's like my own perception. but I'm always seeing like people like hating him. I feel like they just, haters are going to hate, but like,
Starting point is 00:41:59 no, I think I'm right. But I just love, love, love. Okay, Teresa. I think I'm right. But let me know. Sound off in the comments.
Starting point is 00:42:09 Am I just like sensitive? Like because I think like, or maybe like sometimes you see something one time and it just really colors. You know what I was thinking about this morning? Like my theory that I now, you've told me I'm wrong, but I still believe it. Oh, let's hear it.
Starting point is 00:42:21 That long live is written about. Taylor and Joe, like she wrote about Joe Jonas and when she performed with the Jonas Brothers. And you said it's for the fans, but I one time heard that like it was about them performing. And I just believe that. And as many times. And who might be like stomp on your belief?
Starting point is 00:42:37 So I'm just saying like sometimes you just see something and like doesn't matter what anyone tells you that is what it is to you. Rascal is a name. Of course. Of course. Are you ready for our fourth story? Harry Styles concert coming to Netflix. You know I saw that when I was watching TV last night. Like I went to Netflix and I didn't choose anything
Starting point is 00:42:55 So then they put up like a screensaver of all their comings One night in Manchester, right? Yep, the superstar show from the co-op arena in Manchester In which he will play his new album, Kiss All the Time, Disco occasionally will be beamed out worldwide on the streamer this Sunday, two days after the album drops. He records the show on Friday. He's recording Friday for air Sunday. Okay, I like this.
Starting point is 00:43:16 Okay, I love a concert DVD. I love this new format. So it's not live streamed because it's airing Sunday and recorded Friday, but it's like a live to tape thing. It is. And I like that. One, like, you know, I don't want to see all the mistakes.
Starting point is 00:43:27 So feel like to take those out. But I also don't want to see something heavily edited and produced that feels like fake. Right. Like the 1989 concert DVD that was literally destroyed by Apple TV because like it cuts every two seconds. Like you can't even see anything. Love this. I'm just confused about the timeline. Is he only performing his new music?
Starting point is 00:43:42 Because I'm like, I need to wait until I like learn the album to like appreciate it. Or is he just singing like his one new song and then all the old music. I think he's just singing the new album. I think this is solely in promotion of his new album. And I think it's a cool way to promote your album. He obviously saw that we said that he's doing press like a new mama and he said, hold my scarf.
Starting point is 00:44:00 Doesn't it feel like this was like kind of thrown together at the last minute? Yeah. I like this. It's new and inventive. Yep. I'm not saying like if this were, I'm not like, I don't know that I'm a big enough Harry Styles fan to actually watch this. But if it were someone that I wear a huge fan of like I'd be so sad.
Starting point is 00:44:15 And I'm not saying I'm not a fan of Harry's. But like to get me to watch someone's new album concert. Like you have to be Bruno Mars. Yes, of course. I hope that this is successful for Harry and Netflix. I would love for Netflix to do more of these. I love concert films. Like whether it's like partial documentary, partial concert,
Starting point is 00:44:32 I don't care. Like this is my favorite type of content. And I feel like people are always trying to do something different, like visual album, this and that, but doing it like this where we can like see. Where does one watch a visual album? Ask Miley Cyrus. Right.
Starting point is 00:44:44 Where we can see the songs in the context in which he wants us to see them, I think we'll do a really good job of getting these songs to the fans. I agree. I love this. I, Netflix had like an era where they were doing this a little bit. Remember we had Ben Platt live from Radio City? Yeah, I never watched it. Oh my God. I... But not, actually
Starting point is 00:45:02 not because I'm a hater, but because I was such a big fan. I wanted to save it, and then I never watched it. I, at that time, was probably the biggest Ben Platt fan, like when it came to his music, which is insane. I'm literally Hell of Glassman, like a big fan, and I'm a big droll. Because, and I wanted to see it, too. Like, unfortunately, her name is now
Starting point is 00:45:20 a verb. Great. I wanted to see it also. And now in hindsight, it makes so much sense. But like he was playing Radio City, like his hometown show on Rush Ashana. Like so no Jews could go. Probably how he prefers it. And so I had to watch it on Netflix. And it's incredible.
Starting point is 00:45:34 Like that's what it's so hard to be like a Ben Potter for it because like he's so insanely talented. And it's one of the best concert DVDs. Like it's so good. And I feel like they did someone else. They did maybe Olivia Rodriguez right after. And then they stopped doing it. Like these concert DVDs, bring that back.
Starting point is 00:45:49 I love that. Love. Yes, well. Oh, and speaking of streamers, I don't know if it's a story, but do you see Paramount and HBO announce that they will be merging? And I don't know if it's like a new app that we all have to like download. But if they want to get in the game, like do more concert TVs. I love that.
Starting point is 00:46:04 Yeah. Yeah, we'll see what the new app is. Which name should they stick with? I feel like HBO. HBO, though, you just think it's like sex in the city and sopranos and Game of Thrones. Well, then there's an opportunity to like introduce a new generation. I think like the name has such history, which is great. It's like I love the acronym.
Starting point is 00:46:21 It's the home box. I know, but I feel like they, it can't be HBO, but I like, they need to take elements, like maybe box. Oh, I was thinking that too. Also, I don't think that they should go with Paramount. Like, I think, like, Paramount has become, like, a controversial, like, title. Like, they're always, like, getting involved in politics. Like, they are?
Starting point is 00:46:38 But Colbert. Colbert? His boss is, like, Paramount. And then what happened? I don't know. He's always, like, doing monologues about them. All I'm saying is, like, if you're very... It can be that bad if you're talking shit about them on TV and they're like to stay there.
Starting point is 00:46:51 If you're heavily, involved in politics, like you might not sign up for a paramount subscription. So like box, sure. Although it does have like the sexual. Oh yeah, but like, HBO. Something new. No, no, no, no, not HBO. I'm telling you because. I don't know if we can handle something now. I think we can handle one more. It has to be the final new. The final new. We cannot handle one more regurgitation of the old. This would have been a good time if they hadn't their load for Max. Yeah. What if they went back? That would be crazy. So it's time to make the switch to good energy and faster focus. If you've been trying to, like, decrease your coffee intake, just find better alternatives that aren't like really sugary drinks or like really crappy ingredients.
Starting point is 00:51:13 I love the idea of it being in a gum and a mint. I feel like that's such an easy thing to carry with you all day. And the benefits, the results are, they kind of speak for themselves. It's really a go-to when you need sharp, fast energy. You need to feel good. You need to feel strong. Thank you, Coteur. You're welcome. Our fifth and final story, Justin Timberlake is suing Sag Harbor over his DWI arrest in a desperate plea to save his reputation. Yes, I saw that page six, like, really kind of slammed him in the headline, because the news is just like that he's doing the town. I don't know, like, what his motives are, but they're saying it's, you know, to undo the damage. Well, so actually it is because he wants
Starting point is 00:52:29 a judge to block the video release of the dash cam footage of his arrest. Oh, it must be really bad. The recording, which was captured by officers during his arrest in June 2024, is currently part of a Freedom of Information Act request filed by members. of the media. So he argues in the lawsuit that he has depicted, quote, in an acutely vulnerable state during a roadside encounter with law enforcement. The court documents also claim that the body cam video captured, quote, intimate details of his physical appearance, demeanor, speech, and conduct during his field sobriety test arrest and combined. His lawyer claimed the release of the body cam footage would cause, quote, severe and irreparable harm to his quote, personal and
Starting point is 00:53:09 professional reputation and subject the singer to, quote, public ridicule and her. harassment. So actually page six was not exaggerating. His own lawyer said that. Well, now I need to see it. I don't know if what the right way to have handled this was, but like by drawing so much attention to it. Like, I might not have even cared. You know, this is a two-year-old thing. Like, I would have watched it and, like, moved on with my life. But now I need to see what he's talking about. I need to get in the weeds. And the thing is he's probably not going to win. Like, say what you want about this country. But like the Freedom of Information Act is like kind of rock solid. Like nobody really gets around it. Not even like really famous people. I don't know what ground.
Starting point is 00:53:43 it wasn't recorded illegally. Like he just wants it dismissed because he doesn't feel like people seeing it. Well, that's kind of like too bad. Like, what's his reasoning? I don't know. I mean, it will cause personal injury to him. But I want to say even if he is successful in blocking this video coming out, like these quotes just he said he had a martini and drove home.
Starting point is 00:54:03 So they already just like upend whatever story he was telling because how could it be so bad that you want to like if he had a martini and drove home, then it's just like an embarrassing dash cam like what did he do yeah no all the attention being drawn to it like I do feel is a mistake Reese Witherspoons dash cam footage like almost took her down but she's come back bigger and better than ever um like this is over I haven't really thought about him or his arrest unless I'm in sack harbor I'm like always thinking about it at the bar that he yeah the american hotel at I had a margarita there as well I didn't feel like driving home I actually took an Uber I took an Uber um so drawing a lot of attention to it it would have made waves but now it's like a big thing I feel like
Starting point is 00:54:42 people don't really care anymore, like the whole room in the world tour. Like, it was fun. It's over. People really have moved on. Um, if the, I think the video is coming out regardless. So now knowing that you tried to stop it, you tried to like use your money and status to get around the law that like literally everyone like every that's the whole thing that the celebrities have issue with is the Freedom of Information Act. Like their birth records, their addresses like it's all just public record. It's like kind of this annoying thing. Um, he's really not special. These circumstances are not special. I don't think he was recorded illegally. Like this is just what what it is. Video captured. It wasn't recorded illegally.
Starting point is 00:55:18 No, that's what I'm saying. So he's requesting, he's trying to sue or whatever. For on what grounds? Like, was it recorded illegally? No, no, that it will cause harm to him to have it out. It has intimate details of his physical appearance, demeanor, speech, and conduct. Is he naked? Right. That's what it sort of sounds like. And if he was naked, I imagine they have to release it blurred. Yeah, of course. But then like, we'll all see him. like his naked form like no that will that causes harm for sure but so does drunk driving like i literally don't give a fuck you're saying i just can't even fathom what's what's so bad and you know i don't know what his hopes were for a comeback but like i feel now like i'm getting
Starting point is 00:55:56 really mad all over again um no and i hope the people in the town like fucking hate him like i don't think that they're going to take this lawsuit lightly i don't think the judge like the hamptons is very small town, very, like they hate outsiders, like the fact that all these people come every summer, like they hate, like, it's very local, strong, local proud. So I feel like they're not going to take lightly to like this big celebrity trying to intimidate them. Yeah. Well, you shall see if he's successful. It still doesn't vote well because what did you do after one martin? Now it's not more martini. Of course not. And if he's not successful, like, oh. Maybe there's like a woman in the car with him. Hmm. I don't know. But wouldn't we know that?
Starting point is 00:56:37 from like the police report. Yeah, the descriptions. No, now, see, look at me. Now I'm coming up with theories. Yeah. He should not have done this because he's not going to win either. So it will have been for nothing. And now we just like hate you even more.
Starting point is 00:56:48 Well, good job. We'll stay tuned. For that. Let's dive into Dear Toasters, our weekly advice segment. So every Tuesday, Jackie and I help out our swirlies in need. You know, you guys do so much for us. You support the show. We try to support back by helping you out.
Starting point is 00:57:00 So you can write into us, Deertoasters at gmail.com. Or head over to our website. There's a little submission box. When you scroll down it says, Dear Toasters, both of the methods, you have just as much of a chance getting on the show either way and they're both totally anonymous. So don't worry about that.
Starting point is 00:57:10 We don't discriminate based on method. No, we don't. They all go to the same inbox. Just content. Based on method. So thank you to everybody who wrote in and here are today's submissions. Hello, girly swirlies.
Starting point is 00:57:20 I just want to say I love you all so much. You seriously put a smile on my face every day. That's really sweet. I need your thoughts. Is this a red flag or am I overthinking? My boyfriend flipped out on me for getting a little Botox for my little farhead wrinkle that was starting to show.
Starting point is 00:57:31 I paid for it myself because we keep our finances separate. But his reaction, really made me worry that he might try to control what I do with my body or my money in the future, especially if we ever get married and share finances. Would love your perspective. Okay. Boys, like, think Botox is a big deal. And they love taking a moral high ground.
Starting point is 00:57:48 Like, you're beautiful. You don't need these things. And let me tell you, if you never told him you had Botox, he would never even notice. Good on you for being honest. But, like, what's the lesson here? No, but he just, like, I think this is something like every boyfriend has to go through where they think, like, don't do Botox. I love your face the way it is.
Starting point is 00:58:04 And then, like, your face doesn't change. at all. It's a right of passage for them to like seriously like, do you need me to pick you up? Like insane. They think it's just, I don't know why. Maybe they think it's filler or they were misunderstanding. So it's very sweet. If he continues to like torture you about it in the years to come, like he needs to fuck off. But for right now, this is not a red flag. And you don't even have to tell him that you're doing. Now he knows that you're a woman who does Botox now. Great. He should know, you know, like we've said, transparency in terms of like medical procedures in your relationship is a good thing. But you don't need to tell him now every time you get Botox. And if you're worried about
Starting point is 00:58:36 combining finances and how he might like micromanage what you're doing with shared finances. You would know if he was micromanaging like finances in other ways. I feel like this is the Botox talking. I agree. But no, then you know that whenever you do join finances that maybe you guys each need your own little thing so that you can do what you want if he is going to be overseeing everything and having something to say. Yeah, no, but like plenty of people have joint finances and still have personal accounts. Yeah, of course. And every woman should have a connibble. But that's like if you need to flee. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:04 No, no, no, that's like an emergency. This is just like daily living. Yeah. You don't need your daily living policed. Also, if he is policing, like what you spend money on when it comes to like cosmetic surgeries, he will need plugs. And you just have to keep up that energy for him. Right? What are we getting hair plugs for?
Starting point is 00:59:23 You know? And it took every man needs these plugs, you know? And like a lot of them do it now. Okay. Yeah. So it's like, oh, I can't get Botox. You can't get your plugs. You love plugs.
Starting point is 00:59:31 I just want to say. Because it's the one thing that like men have to deal with. You know what I mean? We have to deal with like wrinkles and skin and sag and boobs and pregnancy and belly, like everything. They just lose their hair and they can't handle it. Like they can't fucking handle it. And they all consider getting plugs. And a lot, I feel like most men now like get plugs.
Starting point is 00:59:49 He can't. If you can't get Botox, he can't get plugs. Yeah. And I just keep bringing it up because it's like, yeah, we're not the only ones. You love hugs. Yeah. Ready for next one? Do you Toasters.
Starting point is 00:59:59 I'm 23, married three years together for eight. We met in high school. When I was a teen, I went through a cancer diagnosis. He stayed through it all with me. We share a very deep love and bond. He's very loyal. He loves me deeply. But for years, I've asked him to grow in areas, like discipline, career goals, household responsibility, spiritual leadership. I eventually stopped asking him because I started to feel like an Aggie bitch wife. I'm a travel nurse now. I'm still in school. Sometimes I feel like I'm managing him instead of partnering with him. We've had serious conversations about these issues over the span of the four years. He's not a bad guy. It makes me feel so terrible for even thinking this. I'm scared of hurting him and being the one to leave. But even my family has brought up concerns to me about his behavior, my happiness. So how do you know if this is something to work through or if you're just misaligned? Sincerely, a confused and empathetic toaster. Oh, that's really tough. I know because obviously, like, a man who stays with you through cancer.
Starting point is 01:00:50 Oh, you know, I wasn't even thinking about the cancer. No, because I'm thinking about it differently. I'm giving different advice to someone who just like, let's say without the cancer, got married really young. And it's like, yeah, when you get married really young, you run the risk. of growing into different people that aren't well matched. Yeah. But this is different because we always say like, you know,
Starting point is 01:01:08 Bridget, choose your husband like your life depends on it. And so like in a darkest moment, like you had the husband that you deserve and like the husband who did everything right. And so like are you giving up on him? But I don't know how many times you can have a conversation with someone before like they take you seriously. Yeah. This is tough.
Starting point is 01:01:27 One, because he was there for you, but also just because he loves you and he's devoted to you and he's an otherwise very good guy. but like lack of motivation and ambition and desire. You don't even have to be the most successful person, but like a desire to be your best and learn and grow and in all areas of life. Like that, that's bad.
Starting point is 01:01:50 Yeah, I would, because it's a marriage, because you guys have been through a lot together, I would take your concern seriously. I would like continue to talk about them in like a serious way, maybe like counseling. But maybe like spiritual, counseling, you know, um, he's a good man, Savannah. Like, yeah, right, you get to see. And so there's good stuff here, as Brady would say. And it's hard to find a good man. Like, like, important boxes are
Starting point is 01:02:15 checked here. No, of course, because then you have a man who might be like, you know, very disciplined, career gold, ambition takes, and then it's a terrible husband. You know, and he cheats on you. Right. In like the way, in the places that it really, really matter. So I feel like in the things that really, really, really matter, like when you boil it down to like life or death, he is a good guy. And so there's a relationship worth salvaging here. So whether that's counseling, spiritual, maybe starting to go to church together. And unfortunately, I do feel like the onus is going to be on you
Starting point is 01:02:42 to help try and break him out of his shell. But I also feel like we need to be giving advice as if he might never break out of his shell. And then what? Well, then you can go. Absolutely. But you have to give it like a full, full shot because I feel like it is a marriage worth saving
Starting point is 01:02:57 just based on what you've said about him. Yeah. In other aspects of your marriage. Yeah, it needs like a life coach, you know. But like not a turt one. I know it's impossible to like find like if a, like if there was a life coach. The concept of a life coach is such a good idea. It's such a good idea.
Starting point is 01:03:14 The execution of it is almost always grifter. Like 1,000 percent. And it's like the people who have the worst lives telling me what to do with mine. Like, uh, no thanks. No. And when anyone says they have a life coach, it's like, I roll. Yeah. But the concept is so strong.
Starting point is 01:03:29 Agreed. I guess it's not even therapy, even though I want to say the real housewives of Beverly Hills. Did you watch last week? No. Erica had a therapy session and it was like literally half the episode. And I hate when people do therapy on reality TV. It's just like it feels too intimate. First of all, it was such an amazing scene.
Starting point is 01:03:48 And this, I feel like this therapist has to be like having a three year long wait list. She's the most amazing therapist. Yeah, she's been working with Erica for a while. Yes. If I ever go to therapy, I want to see her. She was amazing. sorry. So what's our advice to this girl? Like I would really like I don't think don't give up. Don't give up. I don't think he knows the seriousness. So like sometimes when like your wife is nagging you like you're not listening. But maybe if your wife is nagging you with like a bag packed, maybe you'll listen. Maybe talk to members of his family. You know, really I guess try every avenue before you were to give up. But I would be that would really be my last last thing to do. Our third of final is a little bit of mahjong drama. Hey, Swirleys, I have a little bit of majong drama. I'm hoping you
Starting point is 01:04:34 can help your girl out. I've been begging one of my close friends to join me at my weekly mahjong club, and after a couple of months, she finally agreed, and to no one's surprise, she loves it. I've continued to invite her weekly to which she has declined, but instead, she asked me on four occasions now if she can borrow one of my sets to play with. Her and a group of girls always post pictures playing together with my set, and I've never been invited to join. Also, it always takes me asking multiple times to get my set returned to me. I have my own group of girls I regularly play with, so it's fine, but for some reason, this just really rubs me the wrong way. 1,000%. Am I justified in being a little hurt by this, and when can I tell my friend to buy her
Starting point is 01:05:07 own set already? Tell her today. You don't have to tell her by her own set, but she can't use yours. You know, she cannot use yours to a game that you're not invited to. That's just like the rules of feminism. It's a rules of feminism, and it's certainly the rules of Mahjong. Now, the thing about mahjong is that being a four-person game, like, you're limited in some ways, right? So, like, you can't be invited to every game. But if you're always inviting someone to play and you have a pre-established game and you got her into the game. And then she's like flourishing and never inviting you back. And then is also using your set and not even being a good borrower by giving it back
Starting point is 01:05:34 in a timely fashion. Say it with me, fuck this bitch. Fuck this bitch all the way. Yeah. Don't give her your set anymore. Do not give her your set anymore. Like we're done with her. Do not give her your set anymore.
Starting point is 01:05:44 Say, no, I'm using it. No, I can't. Bet always says like that I'm so quick to like cut someone off. But I'm sorry, this bitch needs to be cut off. Yeah. That's really bad form, bad friendship to not invite you to play with her when you're the one got her into the game. And you know what? I feel like sometimes games just like come together in a natural way where you have like a game, but that she never even invited you and gave you a chance.
Starting point is 01:06:05 Even if you have your own game and you're fine, like I feel as though that's rude. Agreed. Especially the set. Like maybe you have your game and she has her game, but then like you also could have a game together with, you know, two other parties. One person from your group and one person from her group. Right. Or other mutual friends. Not cool. No. Stop giving her your set. Oh my God. You're so nice. People are so nice. I know. And also people are so awful. I would never give my set. So you can play without me? Are you fucking kidding? Absolutely fucking really not. Me too. My set is so personal to me. I feel like I'm ready for my second set. I have three now. Actually, four if you include a travel. Because I have like, I had to get one here and then I have one in New York and then I got another one here because
