Oh, is that what the kids do? Because I sort of made it my own thing. I just thought it could make a toaster bat signal.

I did it yesterday. I felt like so young. I was like walking through town and somebody drove by in the car and they're like, Turdy, we love you. And like I was just kind of overwhelmed, so I didn't know what to do. So I was like hard. It was so like. It's a toaster bat signal.

No, they do their like blood hands. Yeah, but no. What's the other one where it's like. No, it's like this. Yeah. So they go like this. So weird. No, no.

This is the millennial chuggy version. And then this is the toaster and the wild bat signal. It was so like, I was hoping the person like was recording. We've been doing it. If you have that video, like post it. So cute. So cute. Happy Monday.

Everybody had a great weekend. It was kind of a crazy weekend in a sense. Like it rained a lot. So I actually watched a lot of TV that I need to talk about. You guys, I started off campus. I feel like that has to be the headline. Absolutely. Headline news.

I'm afraid. I haven't really spoken to you about it. I told you a little bit and I didn't get to watch that much because I'm actually like embarrassed because I didn't start it with Zach. You can't watch it in front of another person. No, like. And if we'd. started it together, then like we're on this journey together.

No, that's more embarrassing. No, but like now I can't just like play it and have him see what this is. So I sort of got stuck and I can't press play. What are you up to? Literally this is on the episode called The Orgasm. Oh, that's like episode three or four.

Yeah, and she just got to his house and I can't just press play right now. Also like you're about to reach like a very pivotal scene for reasons like it's not what you think. Like plot driven but also like if I just press play and he sits it's down to watch a scene about like a girl being as seven-hour. It's horrifying. I just, how can I explain myself?

I told you, I watched the entire show over the course of like two separate nights where Ben was playing basketball with your husband. Like, you can't watch it in front of your partner. I think if we had started together, we'd be like on this journey together and there would be like no judgment from each other because like, it's 50-50. No, but like you were the one who suggested it. So there's like more. I guess.

It's like 70-30. So here's my thing with the show. I want to like the show so badly because it's everything that I love as I knew that it would be college campus, cuties, love, romance. It's like feel good. This couple does not give me butterflies like Ellen Miles do. Okay. I'd hate to be the type of person who watches a porno and then, like,

complains about the plot. The criticism is the plot. But like the plot is not strong enough. Like this deal that they have so that she could like talk to Justin and he's going to literally upend his whole life to help her talk to Justin to work on his oral of Kierkegaard. Like it's just not strong enough. So every time he like goes above and beyond, like holds her hand and like does. the most to fake their relationship. I'm like,

the core reason isn't there. So it's a very common trope in like smut and romance. Which is like faking a romance. And I think that maybe because like you don't read a lot of like fake boyfriend, it like seems kind of stupid and like it is stupid. But if you're like immersed in the world, like classic, it's a classic trope. But even in Elle they did like a fake boyfriend episode and it works and like they dropped it after like the jig was up and you know, they didn't have to go and prove this like big huge thing. And. And, you know, they didn't have to go and prove this big, huge thing.

And, like, she's already, like, working with Justin on music. Like, you guys... And he passed... And he passed the Ciarkegaard ghosting exam, so, like, they could just drop it. They do eventually. Well, so that's my issue, is that, like, they're not tethered in, like, a strong enough way,

and the plot, like, isn't strong enough. But I really do want to like it. Garrett Graham, Garrett Graham. He's a cutie now. He's cute. She's cute. I like that. She's so bubbly.

She's Kate Middleton in the crown. And I just... I like want to like it even more, but maybe I just have to watch more. So my experience was like around the third or fourth episode. I like stopped watching it. It was like, yeah, it's like corny book, whatever. You just have to be in the right headspace for it. I feel like maybe I was ludial.

And then when you get to follicular, like you're open to it because I did stop around where you are. I'm like, oh, this is like silly. But I don't want to stop it except for my embarrassment. No, you should keep going. And I am in the right head space because I just watch Ellen. I'm like, I would love to watch like a young romance, like nice looking people. All the hockey players are so cute.

So cute. And then like they all eventually like one of them gets the next season. And the one who's like fixes up cars and obviously likes her. So want to hear some lore about him? I didn't know. First of all, he has like a huge Broadway background. He's like an amazing singer. I just love video of him singing the national anthem at like a football game.

He is the former boyfriend and kind of the subject of all of, uh, what's her name? Renee Rapp's like popular music is about him. And I'll dance with your ghost in the living room. It's about him. He's a major cutie. He's a major cutie. He does start to piss me off. Like you'll see when they get to like the charity event.

It's like, okay, we get it. Like he obviously likes her. That's like not going to work. We have now three people liking her. Yeah. And two days ago, no one would talk to her. She was like a nerd who like took off his glasses. Meanwhile, she looked the same whole time.

She got the jugs the whole time. The jugs. Yeah. Yeah. She's 18. Okay. So you're saying like, watch what. No, I just, I don't know if you knew she's 18.

She's like much younger than everybody. The actress herself. Yeah. No. I wouldn't know that. She's much younger than everyone. And she's playing a 21 year old. And they're all like 24, 25.

She's younger than all of them. Got it. So I think that's why she doesn't do any nudity. Well, that's always funny when it's like a nude show and then the lead. Sex in the City. Doesn't do it. We never saw them titties on Carrie Bradshaw, not once. But like sex in the city was also a show.

Like this is a porno. But I will say... Sex and the City was also like a porno. True. But I will say, considering how much everyone said it's like so sex, like you'd be embarrassed to watch it. Like don't watch it on an airplane. There's actually not that much.

There's a couple of montages. Especially because when you have like an enemies to lovers or a fake dating relationship, you actually don't get to like the sex until 80%. So they start putting in all these wet dreams just to like simulate the audience. It's so true. But so, yeah, it's actually not that much porn. No, it's more corn than porn. Like it's really corny at times.

Yes, I don't mind the cornyness just so you know. I just wanted to be like a little more real. I will say I had a similar experience. Keep going with it. I think you will end up liking it a lot. I think so too. It has all the makings. All the things that I want to show me that are all the makings of something

we both would like. I watch five-star weekend. I still have like two more episodes. But I feel like so torn. First of all, it's all coming. I'm remembering so much about the book. And I kind of feel like the show's better off if you don't know the big twist.

Because really the show isn't good enough if you already know. And the thing, it's like an Ellen Hilderbrand book. It's supposed to be all about Nantucket. Like what Ellen Hilderbred does so good is like she builds this magical world about Nantucket. I've actually been to Nantucket once, but I don't even remember.

Yeah, we bet. But like they really make Nantucket a character. house. And like, they're just not doing that at all. Like, I don't know if it's on a set or if they really film in Nantucket, but like, it's so not Nantucketian. I'm like, give me the, there's no vibes. There's no aura. Like, I remember when I watch that show Sirens, I'm like, I hated it, but I loved that house. Like, we don't even see Jennifer Garner's house. But a lot of the characters are growing on me and I'm remembering, like, a lot of the plots between the different characters.

I do think you would really like it. It's so corny. It's like, literally a hallmark movie in a show. I don't know why they had to make it, like, corny like that. Jennifer Gartner, like, is actually like, Gartner. Yeah. She's being. like not a good actress. I don't know if she's like doing it on purpose, but it's like very corny. Very like J-Lo and office romance. It's actually good.

I can't decide. I love Duran and I love that freaky mom from Wellesley. I would say if a Wellsey. Wellesley. Wellesley. Hey, Wellsey. I would say if you're not disliking it, that it's good.

That's the bar nowadays. Yeah. If you're confused on if you like it or not, it's good. Not to be that girl. Like maybe it's just because I read the book. I mean that literally. literally is always the case, like not even, like, being facetious. It's just like all of Ellen Hilderbans book, even if like the bad ones, like they're all

pargy, right? They all have like that very nautical beechy. I don't really feel like they're doing a good job of like world building, not to be like such a narc, but like make it more pargy, more aesthetic. Give me more vibes. Give me the ocean. That happened with perfect couple also. And I think it's because they don't film on Nantucket and maybe because they can't film on Nantucket. But if you can't film on Nantucket, like don't adapt the books. Agreed because Nantucket is a character in all the books. And I just feel like it's like weird it's fine it's good it's good it's good

I didn't realize that like that miserable friend Tatum is Chloe 7ye She's so random I saw her on the morning America talking about And she was like kind of being rude The anchor was like what's it like for you to do something so mainstream Like you always pick like really artsy or whatever And she was like I did it as a gift to my mom

Because like my mom is always People are asking you're like What's your daughter in? And nobody knows what she's talking about And then she goes to the grocery store now And everyone knows what she's talking about But she said in like a really really disrespectful way I was like, do you hate the project?

I just want to say, one, I think that's a pretty good answer. Two, it's kind of a rude question. Yes. But three, a good question. Well, Chloe 7-E was like, I didn't, when I got the script, I was like, I don't know if like my fans are going to get this or like this because like it's so different from what I usually do. So she did like open.

Okay. She opened it up for us to be like, you're weird. To be like. Yeah. Why are you doing it. To be like the cool and you're weird. Yeah. Um, but it's, it is a good question.

So like, congratulations. Congrats on the Cajon. I don't know what I've ever seen her in. But like I know her. Yeah. She's like a classic. Not a classic. She's like a nepo.

She's just around. Yeah. So yeah. Did I watch anything else? No, I didn't get into any more L. Ben and I restarted madman. No more L. No more L.

And he was like, Elle came up because we were on Prime Video. He's like, What's that? I'm like, oh, it's like, I'll watch that. I was like, okay, but we had to start episode two. I'm not re-watching episode one and two again. And I agreed with you. And he was like, well, I don't want to start a show from the second episode. I'm like, okay, well, then we're going to stand still because he, like, he, like, wanted to watch it.

So it's Ben's fault. Yeah, just like, missed one episode. I can explain to you. And not a lot happened. Yeah. I fell asleep in the middle of the second one. Like, I didn't realize it was Ben's fault. That's crazy that you didn't realize that.

Oh my God, I didn't know what you said. Yeah, we have World Cup story. We got into the stories. I tried so hard. I meant, I can't believe the World Cup is over. And I actually cumulatively watched like 10 minutes of the whole thing. Because I really meant to get involved. We watched a bit yesterday.

Like we tried. We did like, you know, it was the topic of the day. We were out and they were playing it. So like. Of course. They were playing it. stood and watched it for like three minutes. Then in the car on the way home,

we'd listen to the game, and that was really fun for everyone. That was so old school. Yeah, and then the halftime show came up. I was like, thank God. Yeah, right. Music makes the people come together. Meanwhile, oh, we were listening to it.

Zach said it was on the radio, and I see that he has his phone watching it. Were you driving? No, he was in the front, and I was in the third row. Oh, oh. He was able to see. But I listened to the halftime show

as an audio-only experience. Like a podcast. Like a podcast. And then we came home and we finished watching the game. And they lost. The team that you were rooting for. We were rooting for Argentina at the end of the day. That's where our loyalties lie.

Congrats who's been. I guess. We'll get into it. Yeah. We'll get into it. I guess like what else can we talk about before? Like I just want to make sure we're like fully caught up. I feel caught up.

Yeah. The skies have cleared. Thankfully. That was really crazy. Like Canada, you're on notice. Big time. Like that's not. not good neighborly behavior.

Did that, when the California wildfires happened, did that happen to like in Mexico? I don't know. I don't know if it happened in Mexico, but yeah, definitely the surrounding areas, like, experienced a lot of smokiness.

But that's not very neighborly. I just want to say. It's not a thing in neighbor would do. No, not a good neighbor. Okay, how about that, right? How boot that.

And when we were listening to the audio only version in the car, Zach and I were saying, like, This song is just so good. It is.

And I don't know why it doesn't get played at more weddings. I feel like it does. And he said, this should be a wedding song. I'm like, I feel like it is. Yeah, we could do it.

Anyways, there are so many songs of his that he could have sang. The Hallelujah song is actually very viral. Yeah, it's so popular. Everyone is Halloween. But we're talking about vibes. Like I saw like it was like a bright, colorful, like, big thing. I saw people were crying because it was just like very emotional like, you know, so many people from so many different countries all coming together. And it's like, yeah,

it's just like a random slow song. Yeah, it's just too slow. Um, then, oh, Shakira. I think Shakira won the halftime show. I agree. She did what she was called to do. Correct. Like the vibes, like the aesthetic. The dancing, the energy. It was all like what you would come to expect from the FIFA World Cup halftime show. Yes. And then, oh, and at some point, the Muppets were there. Okay. And then Colplay and the children's choir

and it wasn't really amazing. Like it looked amazing, but I don't know what song they sang. And Jennifer Hudson, singing the national anthem. Well, yeah, but that was not in the halftime. No, no, I know, but like she did exactly what we thought she was going to do.

But the Coldplay, like, what was that song? Well, I don't even know what it's called. I feel like Cole has like a lot of like really emphatic fans. I've never been like, I've no problem with Cole play. They're lovely people. And of course, Viva La Vita. I'm always saying Viva La Vita.

Paige Paul, so cute. Like, I love when girls just, like, dive in, change Instagram. So, like, I'm going to have to start calling her Paige Paul. Yeah. I, like, have a hard time moving on from, like, women's maiden names. It's the feminist to me. I feel like you'll be okay moving on from Lorenz. Absolutely.

It was kind of, like, the worst thing about Paige Lawrence, like being her number one fan, was her sharing a last name with my mortal enemy. So this is beautiful. do you think? Yeah, totally. I'd even put that together. Yeah. Page Paul dropped the wedding photos with the Vogue exclusive on Friday, so they got married last week at Old Westbury Gardens in Long

Island, the bride war custom Carolina Herrera, the groom war Burberry. The bride wore custom Carolina Herrera and did like a whole video series with the fittings like with West Gordon himself. I'm sorry, that's like so iconic for an influence or whatever you want to call her. I don't even know

what the hell she is. She's like a mega whatever. But like I'm sorry, when I saw West Gordon Gordon. I was like, oh my God, like, it's a real Caroline. I'm like off the rack. Yeah, no. A West Gordon original. Like, that's insane. Yeah. That's insane. It is insane. The content and the rollout was 100% perfect.

Not that you would expect anything else, but like you're also getting married. So it's like hard to also like get the pictures. Do the selects. Fire on all cylinders. Do the selects between Wednesday and Friday. And then they also, it's good that they did that fitting interview because she's like dressed like for her wedding. She's like, you know, has her hair and makeup done, but she doesn't

have to do it on her wedding day, like talking about the dress selection. Yeah, we got like a bunch of photos. We got a couple of videos like of them at their rehearsal dinner. Her dress was insane. It was like this strapless, like a very interesting different neckline with the drop. Like it was so classic drop waist. I don't know what I was expecting because like she is a sort of like modern woman, you know, but it was oddly like very traditional ball gown. She looked insane. She is traditional and her aesthetic is like very like cottage core. So it was like she could have gotten so many different directions and I'm sure it's also a lot of pressure.

A thousand percent. Because like the bar is so high for her. Yeah. And she met it. She had two outfit changes, right? I saw her and then like a halt or very Megan Markle second dress. Yes, with like a big bow on the tush. And then she also said the bow comes off.

And then she changed into a, like a Minie dress. A Weiderhof mini dress. So cute. We got so many pictures. We got confirmation that Olivia Jade was there with Taylor Fritz. Like it was genuinely too much. It was genuinely too much. And I feel like this is something I personally had FOMO from.

Like I saw the pictures. It looked like such a regular. wedding, like a bunch of like just friends dancing and drinking. Obviously it was like a very high budget regular wedding. But it didn't look so like over the top. Or like a lot, I think a lot of celebrity weddings are like so formal and weird and like everyone doesn't know each other. And it's just like not like your friend from college's wedding, which is like always so much fun. It just looked fun. Yeah. Like her with her beer showing her bouquet. Yeah. And like not huge. In terms of people. No, they did like an aerial shot. I would say like a hundred fifty max. No, I think this wedding is like

it's the Sophia Ritchie wedding of this year. Or of like the influencers. No, in terms of like setting the trend. And I feel like this is more of like a regression in terms of like sort of stripping back. You know, it was very like, amongst nature. It wasn't like crasmataz. I think her getting it in before Taylor. Like if you're following wedding trends, like I feel like she's, this is going to be a trend of just like a classic traditional wedding.

Do you think that we're going to get Taylor picks? Like I'm just not starting to feel like maybe we won't. Yes, I do. And why wait so long? Like, they're not coming in any like sort of IG dump or whatever. But also like- Oh, you don't think we're getting like an Instagram dump? How would else do we get it?

No. Music video, something. Music video. Yeah, like something different maybe in a couple months. It's not like coming any minute. Yeah. But also like I was actually feeling like overwhelmed for page and then also for Taylor, like you wake up from your wedding day.

You've just sort through all these photos, edits, et cetera, approvals, send this to this publication. Like, it's a lot of, like, logistical work. And Taylor's run out the clock she has. But, like, it does take a week. And Paige turned it around really quickly. No, and when you have an event that's full of influencers, celebrities, like, people just take pictures. No, no. So everyone's sitting on their hands.

No one's posting because they're waiting for you to post. But, like, if you take too long to post, then the other influencers aren't going to post, like, that much too. weeks from set date they have their own content calendars it's a very tight but she got in under the window and i said by end of week and she got it in by end of week because when it gets into the next week like of course we're into next week's business the world cup et cetera that vogue exclusive and she got the vogue exclusive she got that vogue exclusive very beautiful and i heard it was also very like emotional tommy was crying love yeah so like love was in the air oh i think remy caught the bouquet i think i think she did do it but then she gave it

to someone. I don't know if it was a known person. They were like fighting over the bouquet and then L-O-L. Have you ever caught a bouquet? I feel like yes. I feel like I can't remember a time where I've been to a wedding where they threw the bouquet.

It's like not a... It sounds out of like every wedding. Is it? No. It's like a cute thing to do. No, it's so cute. But I think most of the weddings I have been to are like modern orthodox.

And like, that's not a thing. Although I don't know why it wouldn't be. It's like literally. I can't remember a time where I've ever seen a bouquet being thrown. It's towards the end of the night. Like you might not be out. Always leaving early. The dance for it.

For sure. You're gone. One thing about me. I'm leaving. I do think I caught the bouquet once. And that was exciting. It's a lot of pressure. And it worked.

And it worked. It's a lot of pressure then. Everyone's looking at you. Or I guess maybe like you're not supposed to stand there if you're already married. So maybe that's, I've been married since I'm 12. It's more so that. Maybe that's it. Yeah.

It's more so that. Our next story is some more wedding news. Maddie Healy and Gabriette Bechdel married in a star-studded L.A. wedding at Madonna's former estate. So Maddie Healy, the 1975 frontman and his model fiancé now wife, Gabriette Bechdel. And I just looked and I don't think she's related to the Bechdel test. Yeah, I was thinking that too. They got married this weekend at Madonna's former L.A. estate.

Everybody wants to be around her and invite her to their affairs. I think we can confirm there was zero crossover in terms of people who were invited to both weddings. It is really crazy that like I guess after this like decades long tawdry relationship that Taylor and Maddie Healey had, they both got married in the same week, but also like the next relationship after each other like was the one. Yeah. Well, I do feel like Taylor, not to say, not to like disparage their relationship at all, because these two seem like two peas in a pod. But I do think Taylor put him on notice a little bit like sort of calling out his behaviors. Oh, maybe. That like, you know, he wants to prove her wrong. And so the next one is going to be

Maybe. yeah maybe it's just weird like what are the odds yeah it's also crazy that like this was the life that at one point Taylor wanted for herself like this vibe this right yeah it's like people it's i mean it's and instead she wound up having like the biggest glamorous like this is so like artsy cigarette yeah except like the actual ceremony it's like not artisan it does it's not really artsy cigarette no but their whole vibe oh when everyone wore black oh yes the dress code was like funeral-esque. Very mortisha, which is like her thing. She has like pale skin and dark hair. But also the hair. And Taylor went. I know we don't know what her. But also the hair. Very Amy Winehouse. Very Teresa Judice. Yes. Inpo pick. So we don't know what Taylor's vibe was, but based on what we know about her, it was like very grand, romantic love story. Princess Fairy Tale Castle. Yeah. Raffles, Chanel bags. So if she did end up getting married to Maddie Healy, like what would the vibe have been?

I don't know if you've seen this yet, but a report has come out about the Love Island USA Season 8 contracts.

I don't know. I didn't see this. Yes. I just saw that Melanie had her hair picked. I saw. People are saying it's a breakup haircut. I think it's like a wig, no? It's like a breakup hairstyle.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. She's just like doing something different. Yeah. No, but people were talking about Kenzie on Dancing with the Stars, right? And Hollywood Reporter put out an article saying a Love Island, USA Season 8 star on Dancing with the Stars, don't bet on it. So basically, for the first time this season, the contracts are different than they've been in previous seasons, where the Love Island Islanders have a one-year exclusive with Peacock.

And not only do they, like, have to approve any other shows, which Dancing With the Stars would be outside of that, but brand deals, everything. so that they don't compete with like Love Island and Peacock's own brand deals. I think they're going to like really manage what they do and like slot them in. I'm sure they'll also get them brand deals.

Amaya, Papaya and Hannah from last season doing a big Maybelline commercials. It's like every time you open TikTok, it's right there. Yeah. So I guess like for this season. I mean it makes, actually I don't know that it makes sense, but like it's crazy.

I mean it's a good financial managerial decision on the network's behalf because like you are making these people huge stars and you have a lot of sponsors. Like I totally get it. But it's just crazy because like even in like the craziest of contracts. I feel like Bachelor Nation. Like those contracts were so crazy. They never really restricted anyone's brand deals. Yeah. Yeah. So I guess it's like a price that you have to pay now to go on the show. And I'm sure they'll get them great brand deals, but it is like very limiting. And it'll

probably keep them from doing like shitty stuff. Yeah, but I guess it also means that like, so, okay, so what? So what else? You know what I mean? Like you can't go on shows that aren't peacock. So what else? Do they need more shows? I guess they have that, no. Yeah. But also it's like they could go on it after a year, but in after a year, it's sort of like... We don't care. Yeah. So that's a bummer for Kenzie. But I feel like they should approve her going on dancing with a star.

It's good for Love Island. It's because that raises the stock of everything. A thousand percent, but they won't. That's like their biggest competitor, Hulu, ABC. Yeah. And even though like Mora... That was years ago. Years ago.

Sierra is an NBC. But they don't have contract stipulations like that. No. Because people from Bravo and other networks like go on other shows. Yeah. Yeah. So it is like sad for Kenzie. It's sad.

not sad for the islanders, but I definitely feel like they're, they're limited. That sucks. I wonder if a single one of them read the contract. Because it's not the type of contract you can like negotiate. No. Like you just sign it. Yeah. And it's like this is the cost of two million followers.

It's a viral tweet. We have been saying those exact words and like it's very hard to watch them pretend that that's not the case. I do feel like there's been a little bit of justice for Sierra. I followed her on TikTok since last season and she's always just been like doing her influencer. The way people change up is so quickly

because like for the first couple of months after Love Island, her comments were vile. Like seriously, I don't know how she didn't quit the internet entirely. Now people are like, I'm so glad I never, like this comment if you never hated Sierra, like they're all gassing her up. And there's also like a lot of drama going on with their particular cast and like Clark and everything. But people are- What's the drama? I don't know. Did Taylor cheat on Clark? No, like Andrina? Something about Andrina. I don't know. I can't keep up with like, I'm sorry, I can't keep up with Everon. But it's just funny to switch up.

Like people love her now. And I do think yes, we're taking it. But you know what? It's the same thing with Maya. People are like a video of her like saying one of her crazy weird things went viral again. And then people are like, this tweet went viral, like, quoted it. And it was like, what did we do? And it's like, we didn't do anything. So, yeah, I think a lot of people are having reflections on how crazy they were last season. I don't need to reflect because, you know, the proof is on my podcast. I never believed that Amaya should win.

And I never believed those two were in love. No. And I never, and I always believed Nick was wrong for what he did to Sierra. He certainly wasn't loving her out loud. They kissed once and they both said that it wasn't the right match. And what are we talking about? He was being like a good friend to her out loud. And that was really, like they had a nice friendship.

Supportive King. But like every time they did their like, you know, speeches at the end. They are, they are now, and now that a whole year has passed and another season has come, I do think they're feeling a little bit more free to rewrite history. Yeah. Because they are retelling things that never happened. Yeah. Loved out loud.
