Starting point is 00:00:09 It's Jackson, Claude and every show the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off, swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Wednesday. Yeah, I think. Back check. Sorry, we just have so much going on as successful business women that I can't, like,
Starting point is 00:00:33 what day of the week it is, it's kind of none of my business. No, and so much has already happened this morning. Yeah. I was up with the sun. That what, I already had a day. So maybe it's Thursday. I actually was up with the sun. I watched the sunrise.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Well, that's the beautiful thing about this portion of the daylight savings. No, because I shouldn't have to wake up to my alarm at 7 and it be pitch black. Like, that's low-key absurd. I don't know why people can't get it right with the time. When I wake up, it should be bright and when I go to bed, it should be dark. I don't know why daylight savings is. You're a farmer. No, and I just want to say somebody else about daylight savings.
Starting point is 00:01:06 Every time we talk about daylight savings, people are like, guys, you're wrong. It's not for the farmers. And then people are like, yes, it is. Like nobody knows right. Everyone's always coming at us. Like we're wrong about daylight savings, but you don't know. Like what is it for?
Starting point is 00:01:18 Nobody actually knows. Every time we talk about it, people are like, you as are so wrong. And people are like, no, they're actually right. I don't care if we're wrong or right. It seems like nobody knows what the fuck it's for. Even though this is the lesser of the savings because we lost the hour of love and friendship and fortitude and fulfillment. Basically said through sisterhood.
Starting point is 00:01:36 I'm reminded that I actually like this time of year because it stays light out longer. Yes. We always, like, go outside after dinner, which we did last night, and we have, like, a whole another portion of our evening. No, that's great. However, then, by the time, like, all the kids were down, it was like, and I could get my wits about me, and I had to take my shower. It's, like, 8.30, and I have no night.
Starting point is 00:01:56 Yeah, and also, like, I'm, like, a kind of a bedtime Nazi, like, just because it's bright out. Like, we're so, we keep the bedtime. So it's, like, I'm putting it rude to bed. It's bright out. Like, the sun is in our eyes as we're giving the final bottle. It makes no sense. I find that the bedtimes change with the seasons in my household.
Starting point is 00:02:11 Because remember when I did my big push-up a couple months ago? That was after daylight savings. I was like, it's dark out. Let these kids go to sleep. So I also say we're a bunch of farmers in my house. Like we're up and down with the sun. We're farmers but also business women. We are very excited to announce kind of a major launch in the Sprit Society universe today.
Starting point is 00:02:27 You know, we do a lot of collaborations, right? Of course, our famous Claus and Pickle collab. We did V8, Bloody Mary collab. We are doing for the very first time ever a non-alcoholic Q-Lab. So this is for the sober sisters, for the people who just don't want to turn up. It is in collaboration with keels, which is one of the parches. Actually, we went on like a whole tirade about Keels a year ago, how it's like the only good skincare company out there.
Starting point is 00:02:49 And we are honored to have made our first non-alcoholic beverage with them. It's a hydration drink. It's low calorie. It's delicious. It's blueberry. It's all about feeling hydrated. It's all about feeling refreshed. Here's the can.
Starting point is 00:03:00 If I could get a little close up. It is our ultra berry, mixed berry and electrolyte beverage. It's so good. I have to say, Ben, really crushed this one. A little opening ASMR. we? 10 calories, zero grams of sugar. Are you ready for the pop?
Starting point is 00:03:18 Packed with Electrolites, launching today, noon Eastern. By the time this episode goes up, it is a limited quantity. So I would just like make haste. Mighty tasty. If you're interested. And it's all to promote. You have the... Yes, the Kiel's Ultra facial cream.
Starting point is 00:03:32 This is the one, you guys. This is the one of one, the Kiel's ultra facial cream. We are major Kiel's fans in our household, in our sisterhood. Yeah. We've been for a long time. And if you need a great cream, ultra-face facial cream from keels. Ben's actually in New York today hosting a meet and greet. Okay, like Diva extraordinaire.
Starting point is 00:03:52 Oh, and he's vlogging the whole thing I meant to tell you. And of course, in the most Ben fashion, Ben doesn't like to spend the night away. So he's in and out today. So we flew out like at the crack of dawn this morning. He's sitting on the tarmac in New York already late. So what does he do? Perfect for the vlog. He texts a guy.
Starting point is 00:04:07 Ben's already in the city because he took a helicopter from JFK. It's going to be the vlog of a century, honestly. I said to him, I'm like, don't forget. Like, you have to film everything. Ben's never vlogged before. So I'm like, bring your microphone. I'm like, you have to vlog in the Uber. And he's like, I'm crushing it.
Starting point is 00:04:19 I'm crushing it. I'm actually afraid. The Spritz social media gal will be handling most of it once he's there. But up until then, like Ben is responsible. He's vlogging from the helicopter. So Ben. I'm so excited to see. I feel like it's when you give it like when you give a kid a phone and they like
Starting point is 00:04:35 take all their pictures and you see the day from their eyes. Yeah. I just want to say. If you want to get SpritzxxKeeles, go to Spritz Society.com slash ultra berry. It launches today, March 11th at 12 p.m. Eastern time. Oh, you know what else I found out? We're not saying Eastern Standard time. Because we're not on standard.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Right. It's Eastern Daylight Time, E.D.T. Isn't that crazy? I'll stick with E.T. Yeah. I just want to say that's something I'm not getting... Like, daylight savings is messed with me enough. Like, I'm not doing that.
Starting point is 00:05:04 We're not doing that. No, wow. Okay. Well, Sprit Society.com slash ultra berry. It's actually delicious. And it's electrolytes. You know I start every day with electrolytes. You know that?
Starting point is 00:05:15 Me too. I saw a real once, of course. That was like 100% of people like start their day with like coffee or whatever. And then he said if you start your day with electrolytes before your coffee, you are better than 98% of people. It's a small thing. And then he told me like chia seeds and all this other stuff, which nobody has time for that. But still, I'm like 98%. We also, that's one of my favorite statistics.
Starting point is 00:05:36 like better than 99% of podcasters because most podcasters never make it past like their fifth episode or whatever. Oh really? Yeah, what's that sad? It's like if you make it past your third episode, you're already doing better than like 98% of failed podcasts. That feels like such a low bar.
Starting point is 00:05:49 I know. I feel like. I think it might be a really old statistic. Or there are just so many podcasts where people are like, let's start like not even influencers or celebrities. Just like friends. Yeah. I feel like.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Oh my God. Do you remember our list of failed celebrity podcasts? Yeah. Do you want to add to it? No, no. We just need to just remember that that. that we have that. Yeah, but you know, they die with a whimper, not a thud.
Starting point is 00:06:10 I know. It's Confessions of a Female Founder. It's called the Confessions of a Female Founder List. No, the list is Ashley Graham inspired, at least for me. Do you remember when her podcast was the biggest deal and Kim went on it? No, I don't. For me, when I think of that list. We have Olivia and Margo on.
Starting point is 00:06:26 And, um, Schvitz. Yeah, but Ben is not a failed podcaster. He just had a failed podcast. Okay. I didn't say Ben, I said Schvitz. Yeah. When I think of that list, Homsd comes to mind. Anna Farris?
Starting point is 00:06:39 No. Ellen Pompeo. We discussed Anna Farris. It's not a failed podcast. She's like she's a retired one. Yeah, yeah. Emily Radikowski, remember when her podcast was the biggest deal that ever launched? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:50 Yeah. And it was like an international. It was like a Sony produced. And then also, I just think of one of the COVID podcasts of, um. Some good news. No. Phineas. And Claudia, they did a.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Did they? Yeah, they like bought a house and then they call it. We bought a house. Is that on the list? It should be. That's like one of my like go to COVID podcasts. I have to tell you, I hate a lot of people. I'll search Ashley Graham.
Starting point is 00:07:16 And I don't know if there's anyone I hate more than Phineas. I think there is like something deeply sinister. And I want to say downright evil about him. Like he said I saw like and he just says like kind of really just like hateful things and nobody bats and I. He like was hating on. Taylor Swift as him and his Mushug and his sister do.
Starting point is 00:07:36 And he was like, she's sort of like the Israel of the music industry. Like as a slur. Like the way I fucking hate Phineas. And honestly, if I ever see him in person, it's on fucking sight, bitch, okay?
Starting point is 00:07:47 Sorry, continue. Do you want to hear the list? Yeah, I love the list. The list of like celebrity podcasts that were at once the biggest deal in the world and then just died
Starting point is 00:07:55 so slowly and quietly. Yeah. Jay Cutler is the top of the list. I didn't know his podcast was over. Why would he be the top? I didn't know he had a podcast. No, We knew, because remember he had Sophia with an F on and we were shipping and then he was always causing drama with his podcast.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember. But I didn't know it was over. No, and so the elk of podcaster. These podcasts just like bring me back, you know? It's like nostalgia. Everyone is a trip down. Emmrata. Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Not only is Confessions of a female founder now have to be on it. Archotypes. Archetypes. Yeah, she's a double platinum award winning podcaster. Confessions of a female founder was not previously on, so I just added that. Yeah, no, I'm saying we kind of forgot. about this list, but it's one of our most important lists. Archetypes. Kim's Spotify podcast about...
Starting point is 00:08:37 Of course, social justice, yeah. Michelle Obama wants the biggest deal. I feel like... Releases episodes. She has a new podcast. Oh, the other one. The Spotify one. When we, like, early in our podcasting it, he's like, she was always in the charts.
Starting point is 00:08:52 She legitimized the industry a lot. Yeah. And then no podcast. No, she has a new one with her brother that I think is, like, not popular. What? That I think is, like, not popular. No, it's not. Oh, okay, cool.
Starting point is 00:09:04 Is that mean? Sorry. Like, I actually, I'm sorry, I did not mean that to be Shadei at all. I didn't say it wasn't good. I just said it wasn't popular. Yeah. I don't see it on the charts. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:16 And you know, I'm always talking to charts. So I feel like she's not kind of like a fail poster. She's retired and then came out of retirement. Like, it's not. Yeah, when I think of the list, I don't think of her. No, she put in her time as a podcaster. And she was at one point a successful podcaster. This list is for people whose podcasts were launched
Starting point is 00:09:32 made it such a big deal, Emily Radikowski. And like, not only did it not succeed, it actually ended. Yeah. Like, it was so bad and poorly received. It ended. I would take Michelle Obama off that list. Yeah, I agree. Ashley Graham.
Starting point is 00:09:42 That to me. She's the blueprint for the list. Anderson Cooper. What? Learning it's something new every day. Ellen Pompeo, that were mentioned. She's sort of like a founding father of this list. Marguyen olivia O'Shea, right?
Starting point is 00:09:55 Classic. And Phineas and Claudia. Okay. So that's fair. That's fair. Oh, I love when we take a walk down Listery Lane. Lister Lane. My favorite place.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Yeah, me too. What else? What did I do last night? What else? I watched H-R-Y. I watched Summer House. Oh. And I have something to say.
Starting point is 00:10:18 It's not a good season. Okay. It's been six episodes. Every time I start the episode, I'm like, wait, is this the right episode? I feel like I've watched this already. And I go back and I find it again. I'm like, oh, this is the new episode. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:30 It's not good. Last night, like, Ben, the new guy, Ben was, like, yelling at Bailey. Like, stop it. She made, like, a bad joke that made everyone feel awkward. Like, she joked about how Ben wants to sleep with Amanda. But it's like, okay, so she made a bad joke. I don't know. That's kind of a crazy joke.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Well, they always talk about how they went skinny to them south of France. And, like, he does kind of. They're, like, insinuating it. And she just, like, said it. Yeah. No, and it was, like, uncomfortable and awkward shirt. But she's, like, an awkward girl. Leave her alone.
Starting point is 00:10:56 She's not ill-intended. Yeah. Well, I'm glad. glad that it's bad because I'm not watching it, but I'm glad that you are watching it because you did say something that actually really has changed my perspective a lot on Amanda, because at first, when she got divorced and everybody was championing her, I'm like, stop championing her. Like, this was her choice. Like, we all knew.
Starting point is 00:11:14 Like, we told her a million times. Like, she's not free. She was in self-imposed prison. Like, and I actually really didn't like feel bad for her or like champion her at all. But you did point out. And now I saw her. She just went on Jason Tardix podcast and I was just watching clips. And it's actually really almost admirable how she's.
Starting point is 00:11:30 sort of refuses to join in on like the joyous celebration that everyone is like clowning on her ex-husband. Like we always are demanding like asking people to like stop spreading their ass cheeks open and like telling us what happened in their relationship. Like can nothing be private and can you not just like have respect for the person who you once loved who was your family. And she's actually the first person in recent memory to like not go down that rabbit hole like tell all podcast. And every time she goes on a podcast, every time she talks about Kyle, it is with the utmost respect and you know what like maybe it wasn't a great husband but like he does deserve that sort of like privacy and respect and so you really did change my perspective on that yeah it would be so easy
Starting point is 00:12:08 for her to be like yeah everyone would love it she could write a book yeah but um i think that this is like way classier and ultimately like both it speaks better of her it's like oh you did love this person it's not like i just like flip the switch and now it's like the opposite because you champion this person for so many years and now what you like you don't he's to the same person it's not like he did something so he's the same person and so it's like you loved him and now you hate him like now it's like oh you loved him and now you can like respect and like him so I think that that's a better look yeah I agree it's it's actually really like endearing her to me yeah but I'm not watching no and I'll keep watching because also it's like Zach likes it too but it's not a good season and I just had to kind of
Starting point is 00:12:50 I think I can call it I don't know if it's going to be a story because like it didn't happen but can we talk about Dumas really quickly? It's a story because it didn't happen. Because then like stuff happened. Okay, okay. Yeah. Stuff happened in regards to the things that didn't happen. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:13:04 And the things in which we hide from the light. And in regards to the things that didn't happen, I feel like we should get into things that did and did not happen. Hopefully things that did. In the fast five stories that you dot do need to know. Today's episode of The Toast is brought to you by Project Helmary, now available to listen to on audio. If you've ever felt like being the girl who's seen,
Starting point is 00:13:24 the book, nope, who's read the book, but also seen the movie, kind of like an insufferable girl. Now's your chance. So Project Tell Mary, one of the most beloved adventure stories by Andy Weir, is soon becoming a major motion picture, so there's never been a better time to immerse yourself in the best-selling audiobook. As the sole survivor on a desperate last chance mission, Rylan Grace must save the earth from disaster in this incredible science-based thriller. Fan favorite narrator, Ray Porter, brings every moment to life with humor, heart, and pulse-pounding tension. With the Blockbuster movies release date approaching, there has never been a better time to start listening to the universally acclaimed audiobook. Part scientific mystery, part dazzling
Starting point is 00:14:01 interstellar journey. Project Tell Mary is a tale of discovery, speculation, and survival. You know, we're kind of obsessed with interstellar projects here. And Project Tail Mary, people are obsessed with the book. And I personally love reading books before they get turned into movies or TV shows. It does make me feel better than other people. It also just makes me better than other people. So if you're interested in being better than someone else, listen to the audiobook. Starting point is 00:14:41 huge movie starring Ryan Gosling. So if you want to be in the know, head over to audible.com slash Hail Mary. Today's episode is also brought to you by parallel. Respectfully, Swirleys, why are we only taking one prenatal from week five to week 40. Your body is doing wildly different amazing things in the first trimester and way different than it is in the third. The idea that one bottle covers all of that definitely feels outdated and that's why we love today's sponsor, parallel. So parallel changes as your pregnancy changes. Separate packs for when you're trying to conceive first trimester, second trimester, and postpartum. So for example, in the first trimester, you get a premium prenatal and extra B6 and ginger for that nausea support, which is so thoughtful, first of all.
Starting point is 00:15:21 And in your third trimester, you're getting a premium prenatal and probiotics to support the mom's gut health, baby microbiome development. So you're literally switching packs as your body and baby move into a new phase. And I love that parallel is like giving so much energy, thought and time to prenatals. It's kind of an outdated system. And it's true. Like, why are you taking the same exact thing day one versus day 100? Your body's so different.
Starting point is 00:15:41 And I really like that they're, you know, focusing on women's health. It's about time. So it's so easy. It comes in a party little packet. There's no guessing, no piecing things together. They do it all for you. because not only who has the time, your brain's not working at the capacity that it should be,
Starting point is 00:15:53 so they make it really easy for you. Very easy to throw in your bag and really helps take the mental load off of staying on top of different supplements and stuff. It's OBGYN founded, it's third-party tested, and it's the winner of the Clean Label Project Purity Award. It has research-packed ingredients, no synthetics, colorance, or allergens.
Starting point is 00:16:09 So if you're pregnant, trying to get pregnant or postpartum, you should definitely check out parallel. We really cannot recommend it enough. We had them give us an exclusive code just for you guys. New customers can use code toast to get 20% off your first order at parallel p-E-R-E-L-E-L-Halth.com. Starting point is 00:16:47 To keep them happy. Chewy has over 100,000 products from all the brands that our pets love at prices that we love. They've got food, treats, beds, you name it. They have it, and it gets shipped directly to your door in one to two days. It's not just for dogs or cats, although it is for dogs and cats, but it's also for birds, fish, reptiles, and more. To keep them healthy, Chewy offers pet prescriptions, pet insurance, telehealth vet visits, and even rolling out vet clinics across the country. My baby boy Theo was on a prescription diet, which could be an annoying thing.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Like every time you need to get them food, you need a prescription. But Chewy has this amazing system. my vet, I plugged in the vet information, the vet approved it, and I got it in just a few days. It was really quite seamless. Minimum purchase required, new customers only. Terms and conditions applies these type of details. Now let's start with what you mentioned. Yeah. Let's just finish that thought. Because I actually got to clutch my pearls when Dumas said that this thing happened
Starting point is 00:18:00 before I found out that it didn't happen. So in the one hour where I thought this thing happened, I was actually shocked. And it takes a lot to shock me. I didn't have an hour with the news. I had a mere minutes. But basically Dumas posted a photo of Braxton Berrios walking in the street. with a lady who looked like Sophia Colpo and she said Braxton and Sophia spotted together. In New York.
Starting point is 00:18:22 And let's talk about if that had happened really briefly. I was shook, especially because he was just chatting with Alex. And when I think about Braxton, like my most recent thing is like we were talking about maybe them getting back together, yada, yada, it ended so poorly with Sophia. And I think Sophia hates him. And Sophia is in a new relationship. And it was just like kind of the messiest thing. So when I, I didn't know who I had less respect for, like him or her.
Starting point is 00:18:45 when I saw them together. I'm like, I was shocked. And then he left a comment saying it wasn't her. And I was like, okay, that makes a lot more sense. Yeah. That would have been crazy if it was her. It also would have invalidated his relationship with Alex, you know, if he's going back to his ex and like that she would take him back.
Starting point is 00:19:01 I mean, I was like, oh, wow, that's really crazy. There must be like so much more information that we didn't know. But then he commented on the Dumas post saying like this was not Sophia. It's his friend from college. That's platonic. So. She got friends zone real quick. The real girl.
Starting point is 00:19:14 Like had the internet in a tizzy. I can't even tell you how many people sent me that in the span of the one hour it was up. It's tizzy worthy, I just want to say. It's really crazy. For anyone who was there at the time and remembers, like, all the drama, Sophia Coppo podcast, them having, like, lunch or whatever would have been the craziest thing. Like, I think Sophia Coppo, like, has a voodoo doll of Raxon. Like, she rightfully hates him.
Starting point is 00:19:39 Yeah. But now this begs the question, like, can Bragston Barrios have platonic female friends? Who are, like, young and sprightly and hot and look like excursing. His peers. Look enough like his ex-girlfriend to be mistaken for her. Right. Look enough like his ex-girlfriend that he would be attracted to this look. And is a friend of his.
Starting point is 00:19:55 So he likes her inside. So why wouldn't that be a lady love? Yeah. And I also feel like his comment was like mean. If this girl had any hopes of like Braxton falling in love with her, he just friends out to her like so fucking quickly in a comment section. Yeah. But she must be like excited to be friends with Braxton.
Starting point is 00:20:10 But I think also I think he had to shut this shit down. Immediately. Because of Alex. Not only would Alex be so. heard if he went back to his ex because isn't that just like the nightmare yeah like oh fuck I didn't matter um but I do feel like they love and miss each other and like it's not completely over forever between them like there might be whatever was stopping them from being together like if it could work itself out like he was traded to the Rams
Starting point is 00:20:36 and starting for string right that they could be together again so he doesn't want to like jeopardize his relationship with Alex even though there's nothing right now but like it would potential. If he was with Sophia, she would never want to speak to him again. It would be closed book. Yeah. Is Braxton employed? Yeah, the Houston.
Starting point is 00:20:56 I thought that was like a one-year contract. Well, I think we're getting into free agency season. Right. So maybe we'll be starting to hear some news about. Maybe he will be starting to be unseating Matthew Stafford at the L.A. Well, he's not a quarterback. Oh, he's a runner. Is he a runner?
Starting point is 00:21:11 He's a wide receiver? I know. He's not a tight end. No, he participates in the game. in the beginning of like a down when everybody kicks it and runs. Running back? I believe he kicks it.
Starting point is 00:21:20 No, I don't think he's not the kicker. No, but not kicker of a field goal. Like the punter. He's a wide receiver. A return specialist. Yeah, like it's when you punt. Like it's like he catches the punt. It sounds like he catches the punt and runs that.
Starting point is 00:21:35 Yeah, yeah. Such a specific job. Yeah. Yeah. I can never do it. Why? Running. Like.
Starting point is 00:21:42 But as far as football positions? What? position when I think I'd be best at. Great question. I feel like kicker is so much pressure. It's the only point where it's like solely on your shoulders. It's the only job where like the physical toll is not that big, but the mental load will break you. Yeah, but the highs must be so high. Like when you score that that kick. Extra three point. That like gets the game. Oh man. Yeah. But the lows. I think I would definitely thrive as water boy like positive encouragement. Yeah. Cheerleader. Of course. It comes to mind.
Starting point is 00:22:14 cheerleader. But I wouldn't want to stunt on those hosts. So Braxton and Sophia are not spotted together. We can all, like, move forward accordingly. Can I ask you a question? Like, first of all, you think, like, Dumas, and I think Dumas, and I think Dumas does a lot of good work, so I don't want to clown on her, but like, this is kind of a grave error.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Agreed? First of all, like, what are the repercussions for something like this? And second of all, even though I feel like real news outlets misreport things all the time, like Pink. She just said, I'm not going to. And where was the repercussions for like an actual journalistic institution? But like, how would you, like, this is such a like flop. I agree. And I feel like do is probably being hard on herself because in the last few months, she's really sort of pivoted to being like a media outlet. And a trusted source on a couple of key topics. And no, she always like had a couple
Starting point is 00:23:05 breaking stories, but also a couple bad calls in the past. And so you always like, oh, it's a new mop. It's probably true, but maybe not. Like keep your mind open. for maybe that it's not true. But I do feel like in the last few months she's like kind of engaged in more like responsible reporting. You know, everything is like a headline. She builds it like a media outlet. Right.
Starting point is 00:23:23 And she does usually have photographic evidence, which she actually did have. So she's been trying to like shift instead of just being like, you know, spotted and random things in an Instagram account. Like she's really like building up like a little, I've noticed that do is working on do's self. So this is definitely a step back. However, everyone was talking about it.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Like it kind of was like good for. Do visibility? Yeah. As long as she doesn't get sued. I do feel like when we talk about do, you know there's like a corner of the internet that thinks I'm due. I know. Do they still though?
Starting point is 00:23:55 Yeah, I get tagged in this thing all the time. It's sort of like my cross to bear. I actually met due before do was due. Do you used to be like a fashion publicist and I was at an event and like I took a picture with a bunch of people. I don't know. And do was in it. And so they always do not know.
Starting point is 00:24:10 It's like it's the only known photo of due. And so they always use it. And like, I think sometimes people just assume that I'm due. Or that like I'm in cahoots with due. And then of course, we can't talk about me being due without talking about kind of one of the best pranks I've ever pulled on April Fool's, which was making a video like announcing that I'm due. So people also think that video is real, you know, media literacy. So yeah, I'm due. I know you would love like for people to think that you're doing.
Starting point is 00:24:36 That's one of your favorite rumors about yourself. Except I do think being due is kind of hard and like scary. So celebrities also really come for them a lot. Remember Hillary, we were? I had you on toast. Oh, yeah. In what capacity? Zoom?
Starting point is 00:24:50 We were faced. We were zooming. I saw her because I can't speak to someone that I can't see. And then it was only audio. Chilling. And I remember, I feel like she was talking about, I don't know if this was like on the show or like when we were just like catching up before him. But like it's like she's an influencer and she's in the, when she was anonymous, I think
Starting point is 00:25:07 she found it to be very isolating because it's like she can't just like go grab drinks with her fellow influencers. But she's recently come out, right? Well, she hasn't like come out, but everybody knows her name and I don't think she cares. It's not like a big and anonymous thing anymore. It doesn't matter. What happened to like the TV show, remember? Which one? She wrote a book. Yeah. You read it. And then it was being optioned for a show on Max. And it kind of sounds like a good concept, like new age gossip girl. It does feel like it got lost in the Macs shuffle. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And the Paramount Macs, HBO, HBO to Max to Max. Shuffle. Back to Max. Go now. Back to Max. Now go.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Someone said it should be called the new one, Paramax. A little long, but not bad. And I guess like Netflix, Paramax. It should be called Maxi. It should just be called Max or HBO, whatever. She should just be called HBO. Maxi Lou. It should just be called HBO.
Starting point is 00:25:58 Maxinester. That's good, too. Maxwell. It should be called Maxwell. I wanted to say one more thing about Dumois. What was it? Oh, the only real gripe I have with Dumas, because I do feel like she's just doing her.
Starting point is 00:26:11 her best. And I feel like nobody hits Dumas more on this earth than Ariel Charnas. Oh, yeah. That was bad. That was really bad. Like, Dumas started like this whole thing with Ariel Charnas that turned out to be quite literally nothing. Like she literally said her husband was arrested. Gay, arrested at a brothel with a man, like really bad. And started this criminal. Oh, yeah, arrested. She said like he's arrested. He's in cuffs. He got, oh no, they said he got arrested at Polar Bar. Yeah. No, and in Miami. It was bad. Yeah. It was really bad. you didn't get arrested. I feel like that's actually a really big state on her record.
Starting point is 00:26:45 I agree. When I think about her credibility, like I don't know that was really bad. And I just know Ariel Charnas has a do voodoo doll. Yeah. A do do do doll. Are you ready for our next story? Travis Kelsey is speaking out on Mama Kelsey's massive home renovations.
Starting point is 00:27:03 So the whole Kelsey family is really dining out on this story. As they should, Jason and Travis took to the pod to talk about their mom renovating her house. Travis said that she could have called him to switch out some windows, but she's going in the full Monty. They called their mom on the podcast, which was very like us calling Snitch. And they were like, hey, we're recording. Like, do you want to tell us about this massive renovation? And she was cracking up. She's like, TMZ posted and I'm just replacing the windows.
Starting point is 00:27:28 She said it's actually been unseasonably cold in Orlando. And her windows are like very cheap and old. He needs impact windows. And so they were like, you know, condensation. And that can provide mold. Right. And so she said there was a leak. And so she's just doing some routine maintenance.
Starting point is 00:27:45 Well, I do hope after this. Oh, I'm sorry, she had to file a permit. She said, this is how TMZ found out. She had to file a permit to replace the windows. And I guess they've got like a Google alert on her permits. Oh, my God. And that's how they found out about her massive renovation. Fucking cracking up.
Starting point is 00:27:59 But I'm sorry, if after this like Carson Cressley isn't down there with a camera. What's a Kohler? You know, like a home brand like a. Honestly, the fact. Cambridge, paving stones with armor tech. They always look like new. She needs a new patio now. The Fab 5, queer eye.
Starting point is 00:28:21 They are like disbanded. Their show is over. They all hate each other. They're like still on. They were just doing press. For the final season. It's over. It's always the final season.
Starting point is 00:28:28 And then Karamo didn't show up. Right. And Bobby left without, you know, a whimper in the night. And they got some new guy. It's bad. I think the new guy, I think I've seen his stuff. Jeremiah? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:41 Yeah. He was like up in, when they cast the original. He was a bullfrog, right? Yes, yes. That's how you know him from his bullfrog days. They, when they cast the original Fab Five, it was like a bunch of unknowns who like did hair and whatever. But then when they needed to recast Bobby, they like brought in a name. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:28:57 And Tan still does the cooking? What does he do? He never did the cooking. He did the styling. Does Antonio do the cooking? Antony. Antony. Yes.
Starting point is 00:29:05 And I feel like that was the craziest part of the show. Why did they need a chef? Like to show this person how to eat healthier, you know, and healthy. But sometimes it wasn't like... Health is wealth. No, like if you're eating like crap, like, you know, it's how you feel about yourself. Just based on vibes. And I know there's been like a lot of drama.
Starting point is 00:29:21 And I'm saying this with like quite literally no insider information. I do feel like the toxicity that's like always referred to by like now Bobby and crumb out. I feel like it's Anthony. You don't think it was JVN? No, I actually don't. Just a feeling. I think it might have had to do with JVN and whoever's on his team. Just a feeling.
Starting point is 00:29:40 And JVN still does it. That show was the craziest thing because when it came out, it was the best thing we had ever seen. Gang busters. And now it's like, you couldn't pay to watch it. I didn't even know they were still making seasons. Yeah, but anyways, Donna needs something like that,
Starting point is 00:29:54 like someone to come in and like just totally, like Joanna. I don't know if she still does that. I don't feel like she does that. She needs Joanna. Joanna does it for celebrity clients. Remember she renovated J-Lo's home? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:03 And they're like recording it for Magnolia. They have like a lot of Magnolia projects. I can see this being a magnolia. On Paramax? Discovery. Magnolia is its own channel. It's under Discovery, though. Yes, and according to them,
Starting point is 00:30:15 Discovery Plus still exists. I don't know if anybody can confirm that. So, yeah, they got in on the fun of the renovations. Kylie also talked about it on her podcast. Did she? Yeah. I didn't, I, like, I didn't get to watch the whole clip because it, like, I put my phone down and then I couldn't get back to it, you know? So classic.
Starting point is 00:30:36 I always am like starting a clip. and then if I, it was just in my algorithm. Yeah. I guess I could seek it out. I'd know where to find her. It's worse when it's like a random. I'm like, wait, what was that? That podcast, that all, it's not that it's a forgotten podcast if any means.
Starting point is 00:30:47 It's very popular and she gets a lot of really good guests. But do you remember when it launched and like the New York Times wrote an article that she beat Joe Rogan? Like that was so crazy. They love to say that. But she didn't beat Joe Rogan. She just launched a new podcast. But her podcast has really become like an option as a stop. You know, like.
Starting point is 00:31:04 Yeah, like how they wrote, remember that article we were just talking about that like these creators are the new late night. Well, it's more like they're the new press junket and there are a couple of key stops when you're promoting something. And yes, if you're a woman and you have kids, you go on Not Gonna Lie. Yeah. Yeah, I feel like she competes with like the Kelly Clarkson, Joe. Yes, but also like call her daddy Jake Shane. Yeah, for like a little bit of an older crowd. Yeah. It's definitely a niche that she's serving. Yeah, yeah. Oh, and that actually leads perfectly into our next story because two people who are just on Not Gonna Lie, who are in the news, Tara Lipinski and Johnny where are reportedly being eyed to replace Kelly Clarkson.
Starting point is 00:31:38 Thoughts. Oh, wait. I love. I'm very open to this. I think this is really interesting. And it's ever been done. Just depending on if they're good at it, it could be good. And if they're not good, it could be bad.
Starting point is 00:31:50 But I think that it's a left turn. And I like it. Okay. Because I was just watching a clip of them on chicks in the office talking about how they have matching Birkins and like the story of how they got the Berkins. And it wasn't like the craziest story ever. But it was just like a good story. And they were telling it really well.
Starting point is 00:32:04 and I found myself really enjoying the clip. Yeah. So I'm thinking that if they bring that energy, I'm very down. I don't know what it looks like for a duo to host a talk show. It's never been done before. But like, you know, they got to reinvent the format because it's like not so like modern. Yeah. And it's like ripe for riffing on.
Starting point is 00:32:23 Like, you know, it's not so singular that you have to do it this way. They could have fun with it. As long as they like have guests on and let them talk because like it's a lot of people talking. Did you see anything from Pink's stint? because Kelly's back now, but Pink's stink. Did you say? No. She, Kelly Okied.
Starting point is 00:32:38 People are saying she Kelly Clarkson, because she sang Lighthouse from the new album. I didn't choose. Oh, and butter. And honestly, it was really good. Like, it was an amazing cover. It's also just an amazing song, so I love to see somebody.
Starting point is 00:32:51 Yeah, I wonder how Taryn Johnny can, you know, the singing fix, you know, fill that hole. Wait, that's a good call. But also Tarrick sort of has like Jenna Bush-Hager energy. of just like nice lady in your home, funny and like humble and sweet. Yes. And while they're, I would say a majority of their time on traders like was a waste, the last couple of episodes where they finally like revealed their secret.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Actually, like I found them to be like a funny duo. I wish he had just done that the whole time because it wasn't the sleigh anyway. We were so hard on them. If you told us at the beginning of traders by the end of the show, by the end of the show, you're going to be championing the two of them to take over for Kelly Clarkson. Like I actually would think that you're mad. And the thing is when you say it like that, it sounds different than what it is right now.
Starting point is 00:33:37 No one's ever going to be Kelly. They have to fill the slot. They have to try something different with like two people who are just like not safe, but like just like easy and warm and can talk. They also do host for the Olympics. So they're hosting not like novices to the format. Speaking of Traders and Kelly Clarkson,
Starting point is 00:33:55 Rob was on the Kelly Clarkson show with Daniel Radcliffe. And it turns out that both Daniel and Kelly Clarkson and had watched the season and had like a ton of questions for Rob. It was kind of an amazing interview. Kelly said that Rob should be like an actor. Yeah, that he is like what it takes
Starting point is 00:34:09 because he was like so great at fooling everyone. Yeah. Which is true. Maybe like an actor. They should cast like a full actor on. Well they have. Lisa Rina. Oh,
Starting point is 00:34:21 I guess but I really don't consider her an actor. Claudia, she is an actress. Is she? That's why she was on Housewives. I thought she was like a host. No. Oh, she was like Melrose Place or whatever. Oral Hospital, all of those 90 shows.
Starting point is 00:34:32 Right, right, right, right. That's funny. Okay, but like more actors. Okay. Because when Michael Rapaport is an actor, he was on Friends. But again. But he was on Friends. Right. Such a great episode, by the way.
Starting point is 00:34:43 He plays Phoebe's boyfriend. Who else is an actor? They're like, they have actors on there who like do other things. You don't know what I mean? They need like an actor by trade. No, those two like are actors by trade. But you more actors. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:34:57 Speaking of, I can't believe we've sat here for so long and not told everybody about the Patreon episode we recorded yesterday, which is being lauded as our best episode yet and we'll become a monthly installment. We played the game headbands, which it's kind of like heads up. You basically put an index card on your forehead with, we did pop culture audition, so celebrities, and you basically play like 20 questions where you just keep asking questions about the person on your forehead. You don't know who the person is. And it was seriously so funny. I had like so much fun. The crazy thing about it is I had so much fun doing it. I thought it was hysterical. Watching it is even funnier when you're sitting there with a person on your
Starting point is 00:35:30 head. And of course we did like funny people, you know. Oh, because we're funny gals. It was amazing monthly installment for sure. We'll have to figure out how to do it remotely when I go back, which I am going back. I just wanted to tell everyone that. There's one more thing I have to do and then I'm going back. Okay. If you insist. Just letting you know. So that's the latest on Kelly's rumors. If they just put this out there to like feel how the world feels about it, like I'm very open. But they do need to supplement that musical element. I don't know how those two fix that. Maybe like a third. Someone who just sings, but then it's a lot.
Starting point is 00:36:04 I'll do it. Okay, I'll do it. I'll do it. Are you ready for our third story, which is a little biopic news. John Bon Jovi's music biopic is in the works at Universal. Okay. I like this. Bon Jovi is getting the big screen treatment. Universal has won a bidding more tobacco feature film about the rock band behind hits like Living on a Prayer. You Give Love a Bad Name and It's My Life. Oh, that's a banger.
Starting point is 00:36:29 So glee. Bon Jovi is so glee. I wonder if he knows, like, like he only is known by young people today because of glee. Like his legacy lives on through Liam Michelle. Yeah. Dream. A director has not been set, like, nor the cast or anything,
Starting point is 00:36:45 but I wonder who will get the job. Oh, of J.B.J. Let me see. Of John. Like, but it's young John, right? Oh, so cute when he was younger. I want to say one thing. John Bon Jovi, I feel.
Starting point is 00:36:57 is very, like, sound of mind. I don't know if he's had, like, a crazy, I think he's still married to, like, his OG wife, mother of his kids, which we love. But a lot of those biopics are about, like, you know, people who, like, do drugs and, like, are crazy. I don't know, he, like, gives, like, just dad from New Jersey vibes.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Uh-huh. So, I don't know how interesting of a movie that is. No, I'm down, like, a little, I'm sure that's an inspiring story. By the way, you know what movie came and went without a whimper? The Bruce Springsteen one. Is it out? Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:27 It came out like a year ago. Jeremy Allen White. Undies, boy. Let me say, who does he look like? He's very handsome. But the person would also sing, right? Yeah, but I guess if they found the right person and that person didn't sing, they could. Austin Butler is already.
Starting point is 00:37:41 Honestly, it's kind of a good call. He's already growing his hair. They could do an unknown. I don't think Austin Butler would do this because he needs to do something else. Different, but he needs to do something. Doesn't he have to pay his bills? Austin Butler hasn't worked in years. No one's coming to mind.
Starting point is 00:37:59 Glenn Powell. But he doesn't sing. Cordova Street, your best friend, allegedly Pugaso. It's not Pugaso. I feel like it's like confirmed Philip Phillips, right? That would be so crazy. That would be so crazy. Tonight's the night?
Starting point is 00:38:15 Is it messing around Wednesdays? But is it the finale? No, no. Oh, you sounded like it was the finale. No, but like maybe Pug Caso goes home tonight. I don't think so. I think he's going to win. There's still some bad people in.
Starting point is 00:38:26 Yeah, who's still in? Galaxy Girl. Okay. Stingray. Stingray. Do you know who that is? I believe that both of them are Evan Ross and Ashley Simpson. I think they cast a husband and wife.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Yeah. I think that's really cute. I think there's like some athletes left. I don't know. Well, I'm rooting for Puck Kaso. We know. But so are you now, too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Today's episode of The Toast is brought to you by Nanit Smart Baby Monitor. They're really, really cute. The pieces are part of the Vista, which you guys already know from the biker shorts,

So they also dropped the Melbourne dress, which is elevated, you know, golf or tennis vibes. I feel like we're so entering that, like, pickleball era. It's very refined, very flattering. Are you ready for our next story? A little more show business news because dancing with the stars duo Whitney Leavitt. Mark Ballas will unite on Broadway for a run in Chicago.
Starting point is 00:43:21 So as we know, Whitney is on Chicago playing Roxy Heart. And so successfully, by the way, like people, the tickets are sold out every night. They are a thousand. Like people are like screaming on TikTok about how expensive the tickets are. The resales insane. She's literally like, it's giving showgirl. Like back when Broadway was like, you know, it's giving show girl. Like my book, Evelyn Asbitt.
Starting point is 00:43:41 I feel like whenever someone plays Roxy, like we always like hear this. Like tickets are. Oh, really? I actually feel like when people do Roxy, it's like cool. but it doesn't change the show at all. It's just like this seems bigger than everyone else's. But I do feel like it's always like a boom for the show. But it's also like a small run.
Starting point is 00:43:55 It's so funny. I actually feel the total opposite. I feel like she's the most successful Roxy they've ever had. Like this is what they're always trying to get when they cast like random people. No, I feel like it was like good with Ariana Maddox. I don't remember people clamoring for tickets. Really? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:10 Also, I just want to say I keep talking about the book that I read and I guess I haven't said the name of the book. So I want to apologize. It's It Girl by Alison Pataki. I feel like we did. but it was like so quickly no we literally did we said how that's an amazing name for a book like yeah but i don't think we said it girl i said you were like the name is really good um mark ballis will be returning to the show to the boards whatever that means who he'll play slick talking lawyer billy fly this is like they'll be working and dancing together once again great like why didn't
Starting point is 00:44:39 they do this sooner it's a great idea yeah she's excited i'm sure he's excited yeah love that do you think she's off the show no you think she'll go back Because I know she's on this currency And they're all doing press But she's not And that's because she's not in Utah And whatever Like she can't go do press
Starting point is 00:44:54 But she can do press in New York They don't do press in Utah They actually like Sorry yeah But I think like her doing press Yeah I guess she hasn't done like any press I haven't seen I saw all the girls doing stuff You'll see Jesse talking about like her face
Starting point is 00:45:04 There's like drama with her doctor I saw her in a video Like saying that she like Is mad at herself And no she's also like I'm mad at the doctor She said she was kind of like Swayed and you know
Starting point is 00:45:15 Lied to about the recovery And like Yeah, and she was also like posting about the doctor, so it's like weird. What did she do? Like skin grafts. I don't know, like, like, like, bigger than she intended. I think she went in just to fix something and ended up doing a bunch of stuff. She said that on this forthcoming season, she likes how she looks.
Starting point is 00:45:35 It's before. It's before. Yeah. So what we're about to watch, like, is not what she's talking about. The new case. Maybe what she talks about the journey. Yeah. Or we'll see like what she was doing, what she had planned to do.
Starting point is 00:45:44 Yeah. But then in the video, she was where she was talking about it, She was wearing sunglasses, so, like, I couldn't really see, like, what she didn't like. I do want to say, and I just, oh, I forgot to update everyone. I went back to the dermatologist yesterday. I got that mole removed, just so I know you guys were waiting. But I did get filler. I got lip filler and Botox, and I came for, like, a checkup.
Starting point is 00:46:05 And, you know, I've recently come to the decision that I don't think I ever want to get a facelift. Did you know what I mean? Like, when Jesse was saying her journey, I was like, that literally sounds horrible. So I've kind of decided, like, kind of, been. big news like I'm gonna stay out of the sun or like are they just gonna age gracefully no no I'm still gonna get filler and stuff but I feel like I'm in the sun a lot and like that's not what I meant not no filler but like are you just gonna age you know I'm gonna do stuff like lasers and all
Starting point is 00:46:32 that but like I don't think I want to undergo the knife so I'm gonna start like protecting my skin where you you were in the sun yesterday when I face time you were on the beach I was at the beach wearing sunblock and on my face and a hat like I usually like I'm crazy like I don't wear some lock like I just like lay out and I want my body to be tan of course. But like, and I was laying on my stomach so like my face was out of the sun. So the message is you're going to start wearing sunblock? I'm going to start wearing sunblock. I'm going to stop like laying out roasting so, so much.
Starting point is 00:46:56 Like I just face like, I used to like literally raw dog it, first of all, no sunblock on my face. And just like get super burned and like would be happy about it. But now like I'm going to be taking more precautions because I really feel like. And when I went to the doctor, she was like, you have a lot of sun damage on your chest. I'm like, yeah, I know. I was like proud of it. But I feeling like if I want to age gracefully without getting a facelift, I think I need to cut back on my son. A son.
Starting point is 00:47:17 So like more like for. Oh, I love that. That's me. Yeah, but I like fraudulent tan on my face. I don't like it on my body. So I'm going to continue to lay out like neck down. Face up, no. Right, because you wouldn't get a facelip for that area. Right. And I'll show off my body anyways. Like I seriously don't even care what it looks like.
Starting point is 00:47:33 So maybe it's just like the news is like wide brim hats for coagers. Yeah, but then like hats make me hot. So not really. But just like more mindful about my sun exposure because I'm like a sun girly. On her face. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Great. Thank you for that. Maybe they can inspire someone. And then maybe like that, you know, funky mole on my back was like the Lord's way of telling me. Stay out of the sun.
Starting point is 00:47:53 Yeah. But you're not keeping your body out of the sun anyway. Also, I just would say, like the place in my back where the mole was, like never even sees the sun because I get like, I wear one pieces. So. Interesting. I know. Yeah. Not to like be a conspiracy theorist, but.
Starting point is 00:48:06 Interesting. Are you ready for our fifth and final story? Which is actually like big news. It's just the way the way the conversation played out. And I let the chips fall where they may. And this one ended up in the fifth story, but it probably deserved better treatment. Yeah, because Kylie's on the cover of Vanity Fair. Looking insane.
Starting point is 00:48:22 Okay, I can't be the only person who didn't know that was her. And I thought it was the girl from Bridgeton season two. Simone. Simone, Ashley, thank you. Oh, that's funny. She looks so different, and I just want to say that spray tan is intense. Oh, well, she also lightened her eyebrows. I thought she looks like Gabriette and the other girl.
Starting point is 00:48:43 Let me see. Amelia Gray. Amelia. I didn't even notice she didn't have eyebrows. Like I was so, everyone was like, Kylie, I'm like, here, who's Kylie? This is Gabriette. Yes. So then later on in the photo shoot, because you see, you see the picture where like there's only light on her eye.
Starting point is 00:48:58 There's like a spotlight. She's like back to her normal skin tone. Got it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was like, oh, Kylie Jenner is who. Like, and the comments. Yeah, no, no, no, no. The comments were like, oh, see, she's embracing her Armenian side.
Starting point is 00:49:12 She ain't Armenian. Robert Kardashian. Yeah, that one. I'm like, oh, it's Kylie. Like look at her skin tone there versus the cover. It's actually an insane. I think it's a combination of the lighting and like a severe spray tan. Yeah, because look, when her eyes in the light.
Starting point is 00:49:25 By the way, that to me looks like a different day. No, but this side of her face that looks like Kylie. But when she's in the not sun on her, her, she looks darker. But she looks brown in the first one. Like her skin looks brown. In the picture, the cover photo? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:41 I was so confused. Oh. I wasn't confused. Maybe I saw it because I saw it like on her insert. Like from the moment I. I saw it. It was like Kylie on Van Van der Faire. And she wrote, this is great. I'm like, who is it? No, and also it says Kylie on top.
Starting point is 00:49:55 Got it, got it, got it. It was very clear to me. I was like Kylie Minoga. I literally, it took me a full 30 seconds to figure out who this was. For me, I was like, Kylie's on the cover of Vanity Fair. Let's look at the pictures. She looks amazing and she's inspired by Gabriette and Amelia. I love that she's on the cover of Vanity Fair.
Starting point is 00:50:11 You know, she's embracing her actor era, even though I really don't want that from the Kardashians. I think like they all get like Kim. you know, is obsessed with acting and it's like, okay. Kylie's foray into acting, I have enjoyed. I don't need more. She does talk about how she, like, wants to do more. She's been getting sent to a lot of scripts since her gangbusters scene.
Starting point is 00:50:31 She also talks that she wants to have more kids. I won't get my hopes up too much. Who was she interviewed by? She was interviewed by Nate Freeman. And photographed by Mertilas, obviously. Mertalus. Mertalus? Mert.
Starting point is 00:50:47 Mertie. Of course. Of course. The girls don't leave the house unless it's Mert. Unless it's Mert and his friend. Yeah. What's the friend's name? Yeah, he's always working.
Starting point is 00:50:57 Collaborating with. His collaborator. Kim is always working with Mert and Blatt. Yeah. Or like, yeah. Who has like an equally like. Marcus. Marcus.
Starting point is 00:51:09 Murt and Marcus. Yeah, that sounds right. Yeah. Allison Mert. And Marcus. Chloe and Sam and Sophia and Marcus. I didn't get a chance to read the article. yet, but I'll snuggle up later with a
Starting point is 00:51:22 nice mug of tea and really enjoy. She's finishing up her 20s and she wants to focus on travel and business and spend time with her kids and then, you know, she says and of course, I want more kids. More kids. Well, I wonder with whom. With whom? I wonder with whom. Did you see Misty Copeland
Starting point is 00:51:39 is coming for Timothy? And she was in Marty Supreme allegedly. Oh, I need everyone to stop. I really need everyone to stop. Like this manufactured outrage. Like, you don't give a fuck about opera you don't give a fuck about missy copeland cares about ballet so but you knew what timothy was trying to say like they're just like obsessed with like having something like they're like a dog with a bone you don't care missy copeland is allowed to be offended i'll i'll say that yeah but like i feel it'd be cooler if she wasn't and was just like you know enjoyed the spotlight that it put on because
Starting point is 00:52:12 i don't think he's anti and i'm sure he actually really appreciates opera and ballet like each i'm sure he's been they're not like commercially can everyone say the same But I think, you know, calling out the culture for not appreciating opera and ballet is a good thing. Yeah. Name five operas. Phantom of the opera. Not even an opera. Opera bopra.
Starting point is 00:52:37 Oh, my God. That one's really good. Didn't you cry? Yeah, almost. Yeah. But, you know, I just won't let my emotions get the best of me. You can get dark. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:47 Chopra. You've seen chopper. Yeah, really it's not, it's not that serious. And this is the best thing that's ever happened. To the movement. The high arts. The fine arts, yeah. Whatever they are.
Starting point is 00:53:01 But again, like, this is not my fight. So if it is offensive, like, I agree. Cancel Timothy. You know, it's a good thing. This magazine probably went to print a while ago or all she would have had to speak on it. Yeah. Oh, for sure. This is really bad.
Starting point is 00:53:17 Maybe he should go on Chloe and Wonderland and, like, speak his truth. I just want to say like Timothy on Wonderland, when? If his next press tour doesn't include a stop on Chloe in Wonderland, like he's a bad boyfriend. No, I wonder why he didn't on, like, on Marty Supreme Press. He was like doing a lot of like cool different things. The girls were all wearing the jackets. Like he should have gone on Wonderland. Yeah. Timothy and Wonderland. Yeah. He didn't do a podcast. Did he? No. I think he's done Jay Shetty. Do you see Lou comes on Jay Shetty? Yeah. I fucking love him. I cannot wait for this album. I know. Any day March 20th.
Starting point is 00:53:53 He went on Jay Shetty and he was talking about a lot of different things. You know, he likes to get deep. But you have ever seen that viral video of him, um, um, refunding everyone in the stadium, but then continuing to put on a show. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:54:05 because the weather was bad. No, because he was sick. Yeah. And he was like, I really can't sing as good as I want to, but I'm not going to let you guys go home. So like,
Starting point is 00:54:11 I'll sing all the hits and, but you'll all get your money back. And you told the story of like that whole day and how the idea came to him. And it was like deeply moving. Yeah. He was also talking about fatherhood. Of course. His advice for new dads, which is to support new mom.
Starting point is 00:54:24 Which is to like sort of fuck off. Like fuck off and support your wife and whatever she needs. Like the baby doesn't need you yet. Your wife needs you, which I loved. Amazing advice. Yeah. So those are the fast-fi stories. I feel as though you needed to know them.
Starting point is 00:54:36 I did a bit of my summer house recap at the top of the show. Oh, but anything else? No, and I was realizing that the reason why the show isn't like really good this season is because we don't have like a central storyline. I would say the biggest storyline is Kyle and Amanda. But that's sort of on ice right now. They're getting along. It was Amanda's birthday week.
Starting point is 00:54:51 He bought her a Cartier watch and like, like, and they flashback to all the other birthday she's had where he totally fumbled the ball. Like, remember when Paige was like helping him buy tickets for a trip, like by book a hotel on his phone to take her on a trip. Like, here, I bought you a trip. Right. Thanks. He got her like a piece of weird art one. So anyways, like he finally like crushed it with the birthday present. It was actually really fun weekend.
Starting point is 00:55:14 Everyone like seemed, everyone went out for Amanda's birthday. Then the next day they went to the vineyard, Wolfer estate. And then they like come home and they go. swimming and they're just like lit all weekend. Sierra and West are flirting again and they're like. Should we? Should we? Shouldn't we? It seems that they do.
Starting point is 00:55:29 We shouldn't. DeMois reported that they were seen out together in West Village. And didn't Dumas also report that he's with Amanda? That Dumas? Like that's what people are reporting. Right, right. I don't think either of you. But that's been widely debunked by everyone involved.
Starting point is 00:55:44 The Sierra and West thing seems to be true. I don't know. I would be really. I would like to think she's smarter than that. that. Yeah. And it just like doesn't do for me what. And I believe if he likes her.
Starting point is 00:55:56 Like he can't even art. Like he not even that he can't articulate his feelings. Like he won't. He won't even say like I like you. I'm sorry. I, I'm gravitating towards you. He'll be like I feel like I don't know how to talk to you. So I actually saw this thesis on TikTok about Sierra and like how Jesse and West act around
Starting point is 00:56:12 her. And why she should really stop dating men from the show is because they really lack the emotional intelligence to realize like they just like are infatuated. with her. She's so beautiful. They want to experience her, but they don't want to know her. They're like, they're sort of stuck in attraction mode and they don't bother, you know, deeper and getting to know what. That's why when Jessie was like, can I make out with you or whatever? It's like, it's just the obsession with experiencing her versus like knowing and loving and understanding her. Well, yes, and that's what she said. That's how she feels like everybody wants to experience her. But like she, they are really good friends.
Starting point is 00:56:43 Her and Jesse are really good friends. I feel like he does know her, which is why it's like you're obviously attracted to her. You obviously like her because you spend. all day just trying to get to her room to chit-chat. So that's a relationship. So that's what she's saying. It's like if those two things are connecting, like, why aren't you asking me out on a day? And it's because they are immature and they date and move without intention. And they don't articulate.
Starting point is 00:57:06 They're so scared of saying anything that's remotely like a commitment because they don't want to be committed. So they don't say anything except for like fits and starts of like, I think I want to talk to you. Take it further. That would be amazing if they said take it further, but Wes is like stumbling over his words about just talking to her. And it's like, why don't you decide what you want and then go after it, period? And like not be afraid if it goes well or it doesn't. That's therein lies the issue.
Starting point is 00:57:36 So we have no Lindsay, you know. Carl wasn't even there this weekend, but there's like some drama brewing. And I think this is like what the fight between Carl and Kyle becomes about because at some point like, car oh like curses him out this season um Carl invested money into lover boy and Kyle did not invest money into soft bar Jesse invested money into soft bar that's so sweet yeah it is like really nice um it was open to investors he also crowdfunded online I remember um but Kyle did not put money in which like would have been a nice thing to do Carl put 15k into lover boy so like Kyle could have put something like just done the same Kyle said at the time like he lover boy is in the worst financial position they've ever
Starting point is 00:58:15 been in and he had just put $500,000 into Loverboy to cover payroll so he didn't have to lay people off. I believe that Kyle didn't invest because he doesn't have the funds to do it. Agreed. But then Carl was saying like Kyle's DJing, you know, and he does like, you get Instagram deals. Yeah, like you get cash when you're in that line of work. He could have, you know, made enough money just to give him something just for the like, you know. Just to like endorse like I believe in you. Like the support. Mm-hmm. The idea of support. Wait, that's like really sad. And I can't believe that actually really endears me to Jesse. Yeah. Because. at least like last season when he said it wasn't a great business like he wasn't like moved
Starting point is 00:58:48 by the business but he wouldn't tell that to Carl's face and like he just wanted everyone wanted to like enable Carl to do this even though on the back end they're like I don't know about this um at least like he enabled him you know and put his money where his mouth is wait that's really sweet yeah but don't say nice things about Jesse he's a mess I can't fucking stand him he's such a mess apparently he like was talking shit about Lexi's mom and I mean greeting night got back to Lexi Lexi made a TikTok my mama don't like you and she likes everyone I seriously, I'm so mad. I can't even go down that.
Starting point is 00:59:18 Bring her back. Like, that would really shake shit up. I don't think she would ever, but bring you back. Do it. I dare you. Yeah, so everyone's just, you know, nothing's like, there's not like a real, like, serious storyline. Right.
Starting point is 00:59:31 And that's why I think it's not a great season. And maybe it will ramp up towards the end with Kyle and Amanda, and that will make, like, in the city very interesting. But right now there's just really nothing going on. So that's that on that.
