Good morning Millennials and welcome back to the toast. Happy Friday. Happy post B day.
It's C day because what comes after B? C.
Oh okay. I don't love it but it works.
And that would make tomorrow D day our favorite day.
Heart. Jax and I are glowing from within. You can probably tell if you're watching on YouTube.
Jax and I are glowing from within.
You can probably tell if you're watching on YouTube.
We had such a night for the books.
Yeah.
An evening to remember.
Last night, I feel like kind of everyone was talking. And I actually do feel this way, but maybe I'm just so sick in the head.
Everyone was talking about our kind of debut evening at Beacon Theater.
We were at the Beacon all day, just like content, glam, rehearsing, singing, dancing.
That by the time we actually got on stage, it wasn't to be believed, you know?
Yeah.
And I know I'm sick in the head, as previously stated, but I'm fairly certain nobody has
ever done a live podcast as funny, as authentic, and as fucking amazing as our show last night.
I'm sorry.
Like, I know I think everything that I do is great I really do we like if I was a big fan of the toast which I am obviously but
not in the way that I think other people are and I had bought a ticket and sat at that show like
I would have felt like oh my god I grossly underpaid for this like I I just I can't imagine
what could have gone better we had the the most amazing crowd. We did.
We looked incredible.
Like people keep telling me and stuff.
I'm like, who are these gorgeous models?
I mean, we sat in glam for actually three hours.
And if we didn't look beautiful, it would have been sad.
It's always those times when you look your worst, you know?
And I was I continue to be shocked by everything that I'm tagged.
I'm like, oh, I like how I look there and there and there.
I didn't see that for myself.
You know, I was ready to like dread all the angles but whatever in the name of girly swirlies night
out who cares it was just so magical I was gonna say there was that there was a magic to the evening
and it makes me so excited for tonight I think that like last night was so much pressure we've
never done a live show we really haven't and we had a you know a good sense of what the show was
gonna be we had all these different concepts, a good sense of what the show was going to be.
We had all these different concepts, conversations we wanted to have.
But we'd never run it through one full time.
And I think it went, seriously, I couldn't have imagined it going any better.
I'm, like, so excited about the prospect of, like, doing live shows anywhere.
Like, we have such a great show.
And we have such a great, I hate this word, I'm sorry, but we do, community.
We do. The people in the crowd were so fucking funny. and we have such a great, I hate this word, I'm sorry, but we do, community.
We do.
The people in the crowd were so fucking funny.
When I was thinking about that guy last night whose name we didn't know,
but I can just call him Henry.
When I was thinking about the level
of audience participation
and how they made the show so fucking funny,
like I just, there were so many things
I was just actually dreaming about,
like giggling.
It was seriously one of the best nights of my life.
Yeah, I was thinking about conversations that we had too and it was so funny I feel like people don't realize but
there is a lot of room for audience engagement during the show and that makes it really fun and
sort of unpredictable somebody brought their husband and I'm sure he was like dragged there
he ended up just like being the star of being the third co-host literally he stood up and like gave
a speech and I was like is this guy about to kill us but then he was just like so funny he gave his whole speech about Taylor Swift it was amazing like I'm
so like I have not I couldn't say one bad thing no except that I'm broken physically broken like
my ribs hurt yeah and my back hurts same when I woke up I felt like I seriously had like it was
like the day after the 5k yeah I. I mean, it really was very physical.
I actually wanted to check my Oura ring.
Yes.
At that time.
So Oura ring detected a workout at 743, which was like way before we went on.
So I don't know what that was about.
I feel like at 743, we were making a TikTok.
But I wanted to see, I didn't even hit my activity goal.
There's literally.
There's no way.
No way.
Did you take your ring off?
No, I had it on.
But tomorrow I'm going, I mean, tonight I'm going to log it as a workout.
So it will start monitoring my heart rate.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay.
So last night I hit my activity score.
And did I have a bump in activity at that time of day?
Did you have a bump in stress?
Probably.
Honestly, I can't really like understand the aura data data sometimes it's like they deliver it not in like good
bite-sized packages you know. My aura data is just like you're stressed all
throughout the day. They say that's normal and then at 8 o'clock it's like
find a way to unwind. I'm like okay. My kids are going to sleep so. Yeah like I'm
reading Josh Peck's book not a problem. So all that to say I'm so excited for
tonight can't wait to do it again it's like
everything last night was but really less stress of that pressure knowing like the show works and
now I can be more excited I kept saying like I wanted to get one show in the can because then
we have our sea legs and so I'm feeling actually genuinely excited for tonight because it's more
of last night which was so much fun it was like the most fun we've ever had it was the most fun
we've ever had um to everyone who came last night like which was so much fun. It was like the most fun we've ever had. It was the most fun we've ever had. To everyone who came last night, like, thank you so much.
That, the energy from the crowd was so infectious.
Like, it made the show better.
Yeah.
And I have a feeling tonight's going to be.
Off the chain.
A little bit more of the same.
It's also a Friday night.
Like, I think people are going to get a little wild.
Yeah.
Also, everyone was dressed to the nines, which is so flattering.
It was so nice to see everyone, like, out in their best wares.
Seamless abound.
Seamless abound. And I literally can't believe we get to do it again. Yeah. I'm glad we're doing
it again. That one would not have been enough for this like leg of the residency. No. And you know,
it's so annoying to us to just sort of like keep going on and on about how amazing we were at this
thing that like most of you won't experience. So we're sorry about that. But if you were there,
like you're a part of Toasterstory and you know.
Again, we're living 3,000 for hundreds.
We're living hundreds of thousands for 3,000.
So that feels right.
There'll be another 3,000 tonight.
And again, like the city, I'm telling you,
it's a buzz with toastiness.
Yeah, it's such a small town.
I was walking to work this morning.
I ran into so many toasters.
And what's so funny is everyone,
I was with my King Bruno. Everyone recognizes Bruno first. And they're like, hey,
that's a Shry guy. And then they're like, that's a Shry guy's mother. Yes. No, I think sometimes
they notice Shry for a second. If I'm like looking particularly ugly, they think maybe I'm like a dog
walker because I don't look like myself. Yeah. And they're like, wait, turdy? Like, yeah. It
happened more with Theo because he was much more recognizable. Rest in peace, my King.
They'd be like, is that Theo? And they're like oh my god Claudia. Happens a lot.
Yeah. So everyone got to meet Bru this morning. He was shaking hands wagging
tails. Kissing babies. Kissing babies. He loves that. I love Bruno. I love that he
made it to work. I love that we're just like these huge successes you know. It's
such a relief. And while we were having like a huge amazing night so was Bruno
because he got into a bit of banana nut loaf that was left in the bottom of the stroller.
So happy for him.
So it's just like we're all sort of having amazing weeks.
That's sort of what I'm hearing.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And you know, I feel like I, when I was like taking my makeup off, I FaceTimed Jackie because
I kept like remembering funny jokes we made.
And something about knowing what we're saying, like somebody might be recording it, it whatever but knowing that it's not like we're not putting out a piece of
content definitely makes me feel more comfortable in saying some like crazy things no and it's like
you just don't have to think before you speak as much like this will not live in posterity and even
if someone recorded and uploaded it's like well you didn't put it out with the intention of it
living so it's like oh well that's it's different by the way if you're offended blame the uploader yeah it's just different so I was just like kind of
remarking on some of the funny jokes I made um and I was just thinking to myself like wow I'm so
funny you know yeah I had a couple of those moments last night that's always good it was
and by the way doing it with you not being on stage alone like so much more fun we got to sing
dance like it was just somebody like somebody when we walked out on stage had brought a sign. And I actually like I felt like Taylor Swift,
like now you're making me a sign. And I love when people get like funny and creative with their
signs. So do you want to encourage more signage? Sure. I mean, I'm never going to discourage
signage. In an authentic sort of way. Like if not, if you're not feeling it. Yeah, don't make a sign
being like I'm only making a sign because Trini told me to make one. That's sad. If you were
thinking, should I make a sign would the Sorreles appreciate it?
Like know that the one sign in the audience last night was extremely appreciated.
It was the highlight sort of of the night.
It kicked off the night on a great start.
And that's pretty much all we have to say about that.
Like there's no more you know pre-Fast Five banter recap.
Like there's nothing to talk about except the amazing show that was put on by two amazingly wickedly talented women.
Yeah.
And hopefully you'll be able to catch it.
Sometime this summer.
Sometime this summer.
We did release 14 tickets this morning.
I just have to say that.
I'm sure they're gone already.
But I did send a text this morning that we actually,
shocker, didn't need all 50 of our comps.
And 14 were released.
And they're always good.
So make sure to just be monitoring Ticketmaster
if you're looking for last minute ticks.
Sweet.
I just don't want to like
talk about anything else. I know and then like it's always on to the next one with us and everything
that we do is in the rear view mirror so quickly because we do a show every day. We have literally
like not even 24 hours like 18 hours to appreciate whatever we did the day before and then we're on
to the next one and like well I guess I just I'm not so hasty to move on from. I guess the good
news is that we have another show tonight which which hopefully will go amazing. And then it's
the weekend. So maybe we get 48 hours to remark on our two night run at the Beacon. Yeah. So good
for me to be back at the Beacon, you know, because it was my second time. It was really kind of like
a homecoming. I guess the way I'll feel tonight is how you felt last night. Just like so familiar.
Homecoming. Yeah. Nice to see you guys.
Nice to see everyone.
Yeah.
How are the kids?
I'm really excited for you to feel.
How's your wife?
I'm excited for you to feel that like sense of home
and community and family.
You know?
Yeah.
I'm excited to be a part of something.
Yeah.
Like the new kid.
It's also just nice that
we now,
like because we were in glam yesterday,
like we both have tans,
we both have blowouts.
We both like look
especially gorgeous today
for no particular reason. And I would never look this beautiful on a Friday I I just don't put
in that much energy and our numbers actually on Friday are the lowest of the week because people
have moved on which we totally understand so I try not to like do the most on a Friday but we just
like we look gorgeous we're successes it's probably one of those annoying podcasts anyone's ever
listened to but I feel like what we're always dogging ourselves we always have a classic chip on our shoulder and it must be nice for you guys like
hear us talking positively about ourselves positive self-talk if we have a chip it's like
here's the thing they're actually congress thoughts they're not in congress because it's
like we have a chip because we are so great you know what I mean so it's not like where we're
knocking ourselves one can't exist without the other. Yeah. The chip exists because of our self-proclaimed greatness.
And we feel it's really important to let the chip fall where it may.
And it does.
More often than not.
It really does.
Have you eaten today?
Why?
Because I haven't and like I just want to know what direction you're going in.
Yeah, I had a Belvita for breakfast.
Okay.
Oh my God. I thought for a second you meant that.
Belvita.
No, what's the round circle of cheese?
Babybel.
Babybel, I'm like, you would eat it.
Have you ever known me to indulge?
No, and then I was like,
Turda, you've changed too much.
No, I have changed a lot,
and I can acknowledge that.
I will never,
if you ever see me eating a Babybel,
seriously, call a doctor.
I'm not okay.
Call an ambulance.
If you ever see me eating any sort of cheese, on its own I love pizza with cheese obviously I love a grilled
cheese but if you ever see me like raw dogging a piece a slice a cube a circle of cheese you
wouldn't even go for like a little cube of parmesan from a charcuterie board literally never like at
carbone I think that's a part of the carbone dining experience that people love the most
when they bring out the bread basket another complimentary offering is you get like a,
what's it called?
Like, it's like an iceberg and they take a thing and like chip.
It's not like a wedge.
It's not a cube.
It's literally like a block of Parmesan.
And like, when I tell you the people I'm eating with,
no, I'm not going to eat it.
And they like call mine.
And I like Parmesan too on top of my pasta.
If you ever see me eating cheese alone.
So you're saying it's a garnish.
It's not like a.
It's an accoutrement. It's not a standalone item. No no. Which is crazy like I think for
people to hear. It's a condiment. Now let me also say one more thing that I was feeling this morning
and I know you were really busy this morning like being a mom and a business owner and like
all these different things. Like my boy at Banana Loaf. I got a car delivered. Thanks Hyundai. I'll
learn how to pronounce the name for the partnership. Yeah Jackie just had like a busy morning so I
didn't want to call you and bother. But for first time so we have known that like we're gonna be spending the summer in
the Hamptons and obviously that's so exciting but I knew that I had this sort of mountain to climb
before we get to the Hamptons. We're gonna be in the Hamptons next week that's when our trip starts
but I knew we had to like start our residency this sort of like challenge for us. Yes like when
everyone's like are you so excited I'm like I'm excited for July 1st like yes this is a hard
working week. I felt the same. This morning was the first time I woke up are you so excited? I'm like, I'm excited for July 1st. Like this is a hard working week.
I felt the same.
This morning was the first time I woke up being like, oh my God, I'm spending the summer
with my family in the Hamptons because I can really now picture it because I'm almost over
the mountain.
Yes.
And last night I was really nervous for the show.
I wasn't dreading it, but I was just not like guns blazing.
Like let's fucking go.
And everyone was texting like, are you so excited?
And I'm like, the more people texted me and like made it a big deal.
I was like, oh my God, kill me. Like I'm nervous. Or people would like, my friends would be like, I'm so excited for the show excited and I like the more people texted me like made it a big deal I was like oh my god kill me like I'm nervous people
would like my friends would be like I'm so excited for the show like I'm like or someone's like
flying in for it I'm like I'm excited too but I'm more so nervous and then your excitement makes me
more nervous because like pressure's on I couldn't get past all of that until you know the show we
wrapped last night and now like I feel excited for everything I had like genuine excitement
no sense of nervousness no no anxiety. I'm just
really looking forward to dazzling another audience of 3,000 people. And let's talk about
3,000. That's really crazy. Yeah. Like number. How many people is West Hampton? 600. So it's
really intimate. Intimate affair. Well, I'm excited for that too. Me too. It does. Like the grandness
of the Beacon makes it more exciting. And I think everybody who was there you said like everybody got so dressed up it's
really like I think people feel especially people have been listening to the show for a long time
they feel like a shareholder in this company that we've all built together and so it was like a big
night for everyone like obviously for us but if you were there like you're a part of it like you
get it um and the grandness and like you know the history of the beacon like makes it so exciting
the legitness of it yeah um But there's also something to be said
about something smaller because there is so much audience interaction. I actually
feel like the West Hampton shows are gonna be a little bit crazier because
people will just feel like they're literally no less than 25 feet from us.
You know? Yeah. It's crazy that the first time I perform live like it's to a sold
out audience of the Beacon. Yeah, it is crazy.
Like, I didn't even get to like scale it, you know?
That's just what we do, you know?
Like we're going to do something.
I was literally like looking at the third balcony.
Like every time I looked up there, I was taken aback.
And I could understand.
So I don't want to give too much away about what happened at the show last night.
But also just really quickly, your earrings about to fall out.
No, no, no. are about to fall out. Push them back in.
No, no, no.
I loosen them to sleep.
You know what I love about remote podcasting is I don't have to wear earrings because we wear the big headphones.
I hate wearing earrings.
Okay.
I don't know if you've never heard this before.
You don't have to wear earrings here either.
No, but they really add a sparkle.
They enhance my face.
So I do feel like I have to wear them.
And I feel like if I take them out to sleep because I hate wearing them to sleep you'll forget I won't put them back on I just didn't
want it to fall out I loosened them okay but thank you for letting me know I'm sure that looked weird
yeah it did what were you were in the middle of a story every time you looked up so when we were
I don't want to give too much away but like when we were singing like there was some musical
elements of course we have songs in our heart and like we are I understand my artists go on tour singing artists and they never stop because like
singing your favorite song to a crowd of people who know the lyrics and love you and love your
like yeah it's electric it's electric and I'll say this because I was thinking this on the way over
there are periods in my life where I'm on stage a lot and I actually haven't been on stage in
almost two years because after not like other girls I took some time off and I forget about like the kind of monster I become when I'm like
playing for sold out crowds like there's no better feeling than like people cheering for you and you
you literally understand in that moment like the Brittany Murphys like the people who get so carried
away with fame because like literally people cheering for you please like never stop it's the
most it's heroin like I'm obsessed and I do I do think that like when I'm in periods like stages of my life where I'm on stage a lot like I kind of become like a bitch
because like how could I not so I just felt myself like with a little edge this morning I'm like oh
yeah I'm so back oh yeah I was walking down the street getting stopped left and right like you
can't bring me down yeah Bruno takes a huge wet shit on the sidewalk and I'm picking up poop and
I'm like so your girl's still humbled yeah she's still a mother Bruno keeps me humble and let's talk about literally the toasters who were like we
happen to be walking in the same direction so like we had just said hi like take a few steps
Bruno just drops it no that happens to me the other day I'm literally like bending down there's
duty actively in my hand and a toaster comes up to me she's like can't wait for Thursday I'm like
thanks hey I literally have the bag wrapped around my hand
and like duty in my hand.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I also, I do want to talk about Bruno really quick.
Because he's like a little larger.
He's brawn.
I did actually read on Dumois this morning
that Bruno signed up for my six-hour trial life.
You guys, Bruno's fucking huge.
And I know we had this conversation.
But when you said it last time,
I was like, no, he's not.
I know he's been eating well and I weighed him.
I do want to weigh him because I would say right now he's probably not his usual 18 pounds
because like the last few weeks, like now Charlie also eats food.
So that's two high chairs that he's getting scraps from.
We've been putting him in his crate during mealtime more, but not enough.
And then as I said last night, like he had the banana nut loaf.
There's just been like a lot of incidences.
Where he's Brudini.
And like he is such a good boy.
The minute you turn your back.
He's gotten into something.
He's duplicitous.
Double agent.
So when we go to the Hamptons.
Like it will be fat camp for Bruno.
Because I'm not too big to like admit when my boys put on weight.
That's why last time I was like no.
Like I would say it if it were true.
And now here I am saying it because it's true.
Bruno's nice and big.
And there's only one man who can really, really fix it.
And it's Dr. Desjardins.
And Romeo, like running around with Romeo.
Yeah, a young spirit.
And then also when he sees Magnolia, like he's going to want to get back in shape.
Like he loves feeling his best.
We all want to look our best.
It's summertime.
Yeah.
Summertime.
And the living's easy. Oh, that was the other thing. Like,
every time we, like, sang, like, a note, people loved it. So, seriously, you can't stop me. Can't stop me, because I'm having a good time, having a good time. I'm a superstar, raining through the
sky, like a tiger, high in the laws of gravity.
Like, you can't stop me.
So you finally have a song in your heart again.
Yeah, it's been restored.
It has been.
Yeah.
In addition to exclusively talking about ourselves and how amazing, beautiful, and talented we are,
we will be doing the regular show today.
We will wade into the podcast.
Yeah, that is sort of why we have all the success that we have.
So we have to talk about what's going on in the world,
the Fast Five, things of that nature.
We have to talk about what's going on in the world.
Not the world, sorry.
In our world.
In our world.
In, you know, the world of celebrity, our fellow celebrities.
And we will get to it.
I want to assure you it's not just going to be us waxing poetic
about, you know, how amazing we are and that night was.
Yeah.
Anything else happen last night?
Literally no.
Anything major?
Oh, no.
No, I don't know a single thing.
Don't look at me.
I don't know a thing.
Jackie, you took the words.
What's that from?
Jessie.
Jessie.
Jessie.
Don't look at me.
I don't know a thing.
Iconic.
No, seriously.
Don't look at me.
I don't know a thing.
You're not the only one I was busy
selling out my first of four nights at the Beacon Theater you're not the only one who doesn't know
a thing don't stop me because I'm having a good time having a good time I think we're ready to
dive in I think we're ready to dive in we actually have some great stories one story that is like
made for me like served up on a platter for me that I'm so excited to talk about.
Oh, okay.
That I know you're excited to talk about too because we did talk about it a little bit.
I think I know what it is.

Today's episode is also brought to you by Macy's.
We are so excited to be partnering with Macy's and this time to be talking about one of their,
I think, better offerings, which is registries.
So Jackie and I, of course, are both married queens. And there are so many aspects of getting married that are truly
terrible and truly stressful. And establishing a registry should not be. And I feel as though
there's really only one place to register and it's Macy's because they have everything. I think
a lot of times when you're a guest and you go on someone's registry, you see that they're registered
at like five different places. That's really unnecessary. A store like Macy's has everything,
top to bottom, luggage, towels, beauty,
if you want to start using your...
Bedding.
Bedding.
Thank you.
It's really perfect.
Establishing a registry at Macy's
simplifies the process of receiving gifts
that are tailored to your preferences.
And if you register at Macy's,
obviously you'll have a beautiful registry,
which is of the utmost importance.
But there are also other benefits.
You get a 10 to 20% newlywed discount,
kind of major.
You also get 90-day returns, 90-day return policy.
And if you want to learn about the Macy's registry, sign up.
Go to macys.com slash registry.
I feel like wedding season is upon us.
So if you need to get your registry in check, and it can be overwhelming.
Like you feel like you do one store for bedding, one store for cookware.
That's really not necessary.
Macy's carries the best of the best brands across all different price ranges.
And it's just really easy and simple to set up. So Macy's.com slash registry. You can learn all
about the registry process. And again, if you get registered at Macy's, you have a ton of different
benefits like that 10 to 20% newlywed discount. You also have a 90 day return window. So head
to Macy's.com slash registry. That's M-A-C-Y-S.com slash registry and make it easy for your friends
and family to send you the perfect gift and fill your home with love um this wedding season so thank you macy's for sponsoring today's
episode thank you to macy's you're welcome to macy's our first story new couple alert oh yeah
like seriously you could have given me two million guesses to like pair two random people together
and i never would have chose these two but this is why we have to let the chips follow where they
may and why even though we have our lists and. But this is why we have to let the chips follow where they may
and why even though we have our lists
and we can try and pair people up,
like when the universe does it,
it's better than anything we could have conjured.
The universe is good at universe.
So Bethany Frankel's ex-fiance,
Paul Burnin,
who's the businessman beau
that she's been with for many, many years.
For like six years at one point, yeah.
Has been spotted with Aurora Culpo
three months after splitting from Bethany
there are a number of reasons why in my heart and mind this makes a lot of sense yeah so what
they were spotted making out by Dumois someone sent a photo to Dumois they were spotted at the
Quinn house in Boston recently and they were also spotted together on a boat cruise along the coast
of Rhode Island where Olivia will be getting married so is he like her date is he her date
question mark also he's a Boston guy I feel like that's one of the two things we know about him Rhode Island where Olivia will be getting married so is he like her date is he her date question
mark also he's a Boston guy I feel like that's one of the two things we know about him and she's
a New England swirly as well yeah they're both parents single parents oh that's true when I saw
like this picture of them it took me like 35 seconds to register like that these two people
were in the same room and like they were making out I was so confused um because this isn't a
person this isn't a famous person, Paul.
He's a famous boyfriend.
We just happen to know him
because he dated Bethany.
How in the world?
I think Raya.
Like this gives Raya.
Ooh.
Raya.
I like that.
And if they were both in like
the New England area,
they popped up for each other,
I could see why they would get along.
And I actually think Aurora
and Bethany are really similar. They're both like very outspoken opinionated strong women strong women and I see it
I hope that he's her date to the wedding and I hope that they have a long illustrious relationship
well what are your thoughts like such policy on like bringing a date to a wedding it depends who
you are to the bride and groom.
So she's a sister.
I think she gets a plus one,
especially it depends on the age too.
Like, you know, if you have a little sis
who has like a new boyfriend of one month, two months, no.
And usually it's no ring, no bring.
Yeah.
But I do think like if everyone in your family
like has a partner and your sibling or close friend
like would like a date
and you're having a decently large wedding
it's whatever they want like is this going to make your experience at my wedding better
great bring them I just feel like in books and in movies there's always like this trope like I need
a date to a wedding and I feel like in real life that doesn't happen I agree people are really
in this economy like so stingy people are so stingy no one gets a plus one if you don't and
like you nobody gets a plus one in the sense that they don't know who to bring because
there's not an obvious partner in their life.
Like whose weddings are all these books and movies talking about?
Because I don't know anyone who's ever.
First of all, at my wedding, it was no ring, no bring.
And I certainly didn't give anyone like a nameless end guest.
Yeah.
Like that's billionaire status in my eyes.
Agree.
But even billionaires like want privacy and they don't write random interlopers at their wedding right but I do think it's when it's a sibling a family member yeah of
the wedding party because they can tell like your big sister can be like give me a plus one yeah
what are you gonna say if Olivia was like give me a plus one you'd be like yeah sure yeah take it
yeah yeah it's just I just like it's a kind of a trope in like rom-coms and in books.
And I've seriously, I've never heard of that in my life.
But I just want to say the couple movies that I'm thinking of,
like they were sibling to The Wedding Party.
Like that movie with Zac Efron, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.
I'm pretty sure their sister was getting married.
Yeah, okay, that's true.
That's true.
A lot of times you write it as a sibling.
And then also the most recent one I watched, like Emma Roberts,
where she is with the guy from Project X.
It was her sister getting married and she didn't want to be like the sister to show up.
OK, OK, that's better.
That like makes it make more sense.
Yeah, but when it's just like rando.
It's not a thing.
It's not a thing.
Not in these economic times, certainly.
Like maybe in the 90s.
Yeah, no, maybe like in boomer era when people were buying houses for like $18,000.
Yeah.
Not today. So not Yeah. Not today.
So.
Not today.
Not today.
Do you think he's going to the wedding with her?
I do.
I hope so.
It also begs the question, he broke up with Bethany as far as we know three months ago.
I think it was longer than that.
Right.
Like it's a little soon to be moved on in a way in which you're in a
relationship not just starting rebound either but what do we know nothing I doubt that's the timeline
we know nothing maybe he knows Aurora from New England like maybe they were on the chess team
together even though he's 10 years older than her like maybe she was a very advanced yeah chess
player yeah there's a million things I also am just now being reminded that this weekend that's something we have to look forward to
is like the content from Olivia Culpo's wedding.
And I'm like jazzed about it.
Yeah.
So add him to the guest list, hopefully.
We'll see.
Anyways, that was very exciting news to me.
It was very shocking news to me.
It's like worlds colliding news.
Seriously.
Are you ready for our next story?
Yeah.
Speaking of the aforementioned zach efron he's
making headlines because he is on a press tour for his new movie with joey king a family affair
which we all saw the trailer for and we're holding space for it we're all intrigued but he's talking
about bed on it have you seen this yes so according to zach efron the bed on it scene from high school
musical 2 which is an iconic like golf courses were never the same after that.
They weren't.
And that movie, by the way, like isn't the best in the franchise.
Bet on it carried that movie.
Yeah.
It was a cultural shift for sure.
Yeah.
He said that scene was not a product of Kenny Ortega's signature choreography.
Apparently the fierce passion and magnetic watchability can be a tribute to Zac Efron
himself.
In an interview clip from his new press tour,
he revealed that his bed on it dance was fully improvised.
Those forceful air punches,
that powerful yet scary glint in his eye,
the natural flair and pizzazz with which he filled that vest,
that vast vividly green golf course.
And then what about the,
you know,
like smacking his own reflection in the water.
That was really very,
very Christina Aguilera reflection. him he said um that was all improv and we shot he said you know when we
shot that we we had no idea for what to do on that day the director he was just like dude we have no
concept for this song what do you want to do and I was like I don't know we're on a golf course
that was all improv and we shot it I think the whole song in three hours like that must have been very similar to like the people around Michelangelo when he painted
the Sistine Chapel.
It's like, oh, we have something here.
Incredible here.
Now, I'd love to see Zac Efron talking about High School Musical because he's, you know,
probably the most famous person from the franchise and he doesn't go to the reunions and things
on TikTok.
So to see him engage with the fandom, it means a lot.
It really, really does.
And to know that he looks back on that time fondly, it means a lot.
Because that's one of those movies that obviously shaped us.
But we also both rewatched recently and, like, really stands the test of time.
It's a real piece of art.
And, you know, he's been doing a lot of press.
And a couple, I was going to say, like, one or two weeks ago, he was asked an interview.
Like, actually a weird question.
Like, it was giving, like, some of those sports journalists who ask Travis the inappropriate
questions.
Because, you know, we do forget he dated Vanessa Ann Hudgens.
They're not just co-stars.
Like they dated for a significant amount of time.
And this woman asked him on a red carpet, like, you know, all the high school musical
girlies like are pregnant.
Like what kind of mom do you think Vanessa is going to be?
And Ashley Tisdale.
She threw Ashley in at the end. But it was like a weird question and he answered super respectfully and he was like oh it's just amazing like they're just the best and they're gonna be
the best but it was a weird fucking question that's fucking weird yeah and it is a weird
question I think regardless of their um relationship history Zach and Vanessa just like overall like
even if you just said like,
what kind of mom do you think Ashley's gonna be?
Like bad?
Like what kind of question is that?
That's really weird.
Yeah, it was weird.
That's really weird.
I also feel like Zach Efron,
he gives all of himself to his movies
to the point where he like pretends to date his co-stars,
whatever.
Falls in love with Zendaya.
Falls in love with everyone from Baywatch.
That's just what, that's his thing.
And I feel like depending on what movie he's doing a press tour for is like
how silly he'll get.
Like,
I feel like you could ask him high school musical questions for this movie
because it's a silly movie,
but like when he was doing like Ted Bundy or,
you know,
he just did that wrestler,
like where he's doing his serious stuff.
Like he wants to do serious conversations.
I like that.
He adapts the energy of the movie into his press.
He's kind of the method actor of our time. I love this man. Like I really there are
very few people who transcend obviously that child actor pipeline but he was a child actor who meant
a great deal to a lot of us. Like obviously he was extremely good looking and everybody was like in
love with him but now when I look back on that time, like the musicals, like those movies like meant a lot to me. And he
went on to create more movies that mean a lot to us. Of course, The Greatest Showman comes to mind,
Hairspray, a perfectly cast movie. I love this man. And I love how he's sort of able to straddle
two worlds. Because he was everyone's first crush, you know, basketball jock. And then he was like
singing and dancing and being like theater
and he still continued to do that in his career Hairspray the greatest showman how he's able to
straddle both like the toxically like jock masculine energy and then also you know twirling
in a in a dance number Troy Bolton he by the way totally life imitating art imitating life
I love how he's been able to straddle those two worlds perfectly
throughout the entirety of his career.
And I hope he continues to do it.
He's never shied away from being like a guy who can sing.
Yeah.
Even though he's oddly so like,
he makes like dumb movies with Seth Rogen.
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah.
You don't see Seth Rogen out here embracing his feminine side.
It's called being well-rounded.
Yes.
Yes.
Like Zac Efron is so somebody who did theater
in high school, but was also well-liked.
And it's hard to be both, we all know that.
That's Troy Bolton.
Yeah.
Do you think he did theater in high school?
Yes.
You don't get into Disney without that sort of background.
I feel like he kind of fell into it,
but I would like to know what his background is.
How he was discovered, yeah.
Zac Efron.
Because I could also see him playing pickup basketball
at his local park, and some scout comes and says, hey, I work for Kenny.
You want to come in and dance for us?
Yeah.
Dance for me, Zach.
Dance.
Zach dance, Zach dance.
What?
Like, I feel like we don't know his story.
Yeah, he grew up in California.
Like, did he have a mom who took him to auditions?
He had a normal childhood.
He was referred to an agent in LA.
By one of his drama coaches.
So he was in drama.
So he was in drama.
Yeah, okay.
And you know that he is Jewish.
His paternal grandfather is Jewish.
We will take it.
He has described himself as Jewish
and there are two citations for that.
Okay, I didn't know if I knew that.
Though he was faced agnostically
and did not practice religion as a child.
So if he has a religion,
like the first one, it's like none but then Jewish.
I understand.
He has like Jewish blood, but he's not like a Jew.
Claudia, it's something.
No, we'll take it.
We will take it.
What?
What?
The citation.
Read it.
What am I looking at?
Do you see the little box?
Zac Efron chose his beautiful circumcised penis
to prove he's Jewish for me i'm Jewish i'm very much Jewish he says but i forgot sorry i'm now
i'm just distracted by his wikipedia i forgot there was a time like in the world where like
this is what Zac Efron looked like is it the bowl yeah the bowl cut and just like the young
innocence the dark eyebrows.
He was really a very, very good looking boy.
I think like my favorite era of Zach's look is Link Larkin.
Like no one was more handsome than this boy who was cast.
Like you saw him and you said, oh yes, Link Larkin. So I have a question about the bowl.
Because it's like, how does everyone get their hair to grow down like that?
And when did it stop?
It's just like the year changed and people's hair started growing in a different direction and now it's like the then it became like the
sean booth where it's like yep wavy on top i i think i've actually spoken about this like it's
called the bachelor haircut like literally i've spoken about this with ben because i think there
was a time and ben's friend you know jack yeah had like always in high school okay but like he
was a natural like so no matter if the judge not everyone didn't be right not everyone could have done the Justin Bieber haircut especially
like in the Jewish community Ben has extremely like coarse curly hair if you were to grow it
out it would grow up not down so you're saying that they all just happen to be down growers yes
I think honestly I think it's a very goyish hair texture like Jews don't have hair that just is
like straight and calm but like the teen idols of today don't have well because styles have changed
right but if they wanted to they might be able to okay I'm just saying I also think about that
when it comes to like women's hair because the way they used to like pin up their hair like I
don't like did it not always be flat to their face how do they get those looks yeah when they
do that on like Downton Abbey and, like, without any heat.
Of course, it's, like, hair and makeup.
But when you look back at, like, photos when people, like, had, like, different hair.
Like, my hair is like this not because I live in this era, just because that's how it falls.
Like, flat to my face.
I think also when you're looking at photos from a different time, like, you have to also acknowledge, like, the lack of quality in the photos.
Like, if they did have frizzies, like, we wouldn't be, be it wouldn't be picked up it's not even about the frizzies like it's about
they just maybe they kept their hair no sometimes it was super long I don't know it's just mine so
flat to my face as are so many of us but it wasn't flat to their face like I think the environment
has a lot to do with it I really do environment and like water yeah yeah like the the way in which we live yeah it's
different interesting see that's interesting to me yeah we've had this conversation before about
acne how acne is like very much a 21st century thing like I just don't believe people in like
Downton Abbey era had acne and it's because they didn't have the like the chemicals and the
pollution and the air quality that we have and the food is different yeah that I feel the drinking
water yeah they weren't you know getting their Fiji bottles recalled that's what I'll say and the air quality that we have. And the food is different. Yeah. That I feel. The drinking water.
Yeah.
They weren't, you know, getting their Fiji bottles recalled.
That's what I'll say.
Yeah.
Okay.
So interesting.
Yeah.
Are you ready for our next story?
Number?
Three.
Yeah.
It's some more Cyrus family drama.
Okay.
There's a lot going on there.
There's two things going on because Billy Ray is now praising his daughter,
Noah Cyrus, and her lyrical advice amid his split from Fire Rose.
So he was married to someone like post Trish named Fire Rose.
I think they like got separated back together just like that.
And him and Noah are aligning.
Meanwhile, did you see what Miley posted the other day?
So her mom, Tishish and her mom's husband
Dominic Purcell prison break and Noah's ex allegedly yeah um they're doing a show together
she's producing it and he's starring in it and she said congrats mom and dad I want to say that
that's really crazy um and I don't you know I can't really speak like from experience but um
and I don't know how we're supposed to be
referencing step-parents um however especially step-parents who became your step-parents in
adulthood and like didn't raise you and became your step-parents two months ago like okay maybe
10 years from now you could start calling him dad it and I don't know what went down and Miley
probably has her reasons but it feels disrespectful yeah it is disrespectful I think she's meant she
wants to disrespect.
And I feel sad.
The RC.
I feel sad because I might be in the minority here,
but like for me, like Billy Ray and Tish are OTP.
And it sucks, like we've gotten really far from them ever getting back together.
Like.
Yeah.
It happens all the time, you know, Nene and her husband.
Like you get divorced, you get remarried.
But with all that's gone on.
I actually think at one point they split up and got back together.
Yeah.
Like I'm
saying like in my heart they're OTP but in reality like I know how far we've gotten from that
potential outcome yeah and it seems like Tish and Dominic are rock solid and I actually don't like
dislike them together but why does it have to like be such a fracture in the whole family like teams
I don't see us ever coming back together. I agree.
It's devastating.
Whenever like family drama plays out in the public,
I'm like never one eating it up.
It always brings me a great sense of sadness.
Yeah.
And seeing that not only like is the divorce splitting up the family,
but the siblings are taking different sides.
Like this is messy as fuck.
Right.
But I think it's all sad not to rate like the sadness you know but if you had
to if I had to I think Billy Ray and Miley the dissolution of them is the saddest just because
we grew up with them like they were the father-daughter duo of our generation and we saw
them the most so like I don't I guess we also saw Miley and Noah a lot no always big sis energy
always ushering Noah through life. No for sure. But like
the duo of the family has and always will be Miley and Billy. Yes. And you bring up an interesting
point about how they were sort of like the duo of like they were the father-daughter of America
for so long. And you know I think people forget at the time Billy really put his celebrity out
there and leveraged it to get Miley the career that she has. So I'm sure there's like
really complicated dynamics within that too. Like everyone's arguing and Billy is like seeing this
girl who he sort of put everything on the line for and used it like yeah he wrote himself into
the show of course. But it was like Miley got that show. Miley is a nepo baby. I think a lot of people
forget that. And it's hard when you become a nepo baby who eclipses your parent. Like the most
famous Cyrus ever is Miley
yeah and another one where it's like her talent is so undeniable that like nobody's mad no that
she's a nepo but there were a lot of kids who wanted their own show on Disney and Hannah got
it because Billy was saying I'll be in the show I'll write the music and it's my daughter so I'm
sure like for Miley to get to a place where she's completely written off her dad I feel like it took
more than it would take other people because I'm sure she feels indebted
to her dad.
Yeah.
But you could also see it the complete other way where it's like he was in a career low.
He pushed and she probably wanted to sing and dance and do all that stuff.
But like he had his own gains to gain as well and used her.
Maybe maybe it was like a toxic work environment and he was working her hard.
So you could see it both ways. Yeah. I don't know which I refuse to see it that way like for real
yeah I feel like it was I feel like it was positive the experience yeah because she's
spoken about it and like yeah not perfect all the time working really hard for a young person
but not terrible no I feel like the the time in your career yes that nobody has that yeah I feel like
the time in her career where she might like look back on where like not so fondly where like the
maybe the end of Disney like that awkward period then that's how we got to like you know the the
low point for her uh dead pets like there was uh and that was probably a reaction to like you know
you lose your childhood you don't get to go to prom like all those things that everybody says. Yeah. Growing pains. Yeah. Also speaking of Noah Cyrus
she's on the Shibuzy album and their duet is my favorite song on the album. Stream it. I keep
meaning to send it to Snitch. I feel like she would appreciate it. You're kind of doing the
work when it comes to getting Shibuzy's name out there. You and Beyonce. Happy to do it. The album
is so good and it's like a good length album too. Like I've digested the whole thing.
I love that.
I've digested the work of art.
As we were saying last night,
I still haven't digested TTPD.
I'm still stuck on the first half.
Yeah,
I think you're not alone in that.
Yeah,
but I'm happy here.
Like it's enough for me,
Dainu.
I hope you're happy.
Cause I've told mom.
And then when I'm ready
for a new Taylor album,
I'll listen to the second half.
Right.
That's so me.
Yeah, no, you is listening to half. Right. That's so me. Yeah.
No, you is listening to Lover.
Midnights.
Yeah.
Midnights.
Come and pick me up.
No headlights.
That's not my key.
No, it's not.
Is it your key?
When you have pitch as perfect as mine, all the keys are kind of mine.
I actually, much like my mentor Stevie Wonder, I prefer to stick to the key of life.
Okay.
Yeah.
I'm seeming delusional.
Are you ready for our fourth story?
No.
Are you?
No.
Because I need to let you know that today's episode of The Toast is brought to you by
Huggies Lil Movers.
How cute. They'reuggies Lil Movers.
How cute.
They're actually called Little Movers.
So just in case you're actually looking for them in the diaper aisle, Little Movers.
Huggies knows that babies come in all shapes and sizes.
And their tushies do too.
And we're tushy girls.
So we take. We are big tushy girls.
Tushy customization very seriously.
And Huggies has more curves and outstanding active fit.
Moms know that there's nothing worse than an ill-fitting diaper, especially for your active bebes. Yes, I just experienced that yesterday because I did not
have my Huggies Little Movers with me. I love Huggies because I can rely on them to keep my
baby covered while he moves about. There are so many wonderful attributes to the Huggies diapers.
One of like the surface level, if we're going to judge a diaper by its cover, I love the designs right now.
We are in our Simba era.
There is Simba on the diapers.
It's just such a great way to get the bebes excited
about diaper changing,
which can sometimes be a little bit of a battle
depending on what age you're at.
They also, as they say,
they curve to the natural curves of baby's bottom.
They're soft.
They have high absorbency, major key. And Huggies Little Movers are curved to fit all curves.
So my bedbeds feel comfy no matter how much they're moving around. And they're moving around
a lot. They also offer 12-hour protection against leaks, which is a game changer. Get your bedbed's
butt into the best fitting diaper. Huggies Little Movers, we got you, baby. So that's Huggies Little
Movers. Their tushes will thank you.
Today's episode is also brought to you by Seed.
And they have a, you know, a new thing we're going to be talking about, Jackson.
I feel as though as two women, you know, with the power and success that we have,
we need to be talking about vaginal wealth and vaginal health.
And Seed is over here with their first vaginal health innovation, the VS01,
a clinically validated vaginal symbiotic,
which is formulated
with three proprietary strains of L-crispitus to restore a healthy vaginal microbiome,
sustain regulated vaginal pH, and be safe for long-term use. So vaginal health can have such
a profound impact on your day-to-day lives. And one thing people don't talk about is the
vaginal microbiome. So your vagina basically has a microbiome just like your gut does. And we're
always talking about gut health, all the different benefits, and seed is
such a great resource for gut health. But what about your vaginal microbiome? It's made up of
bacteria, fungi, viruses, and it can easily be disrupted from living your day-to-day life.
Everything from menstruation, sex, lubricants, and even stress can throw off your vaginal microbiome.
And a shocking statistic is that nine out of 10 women have an unstable vaginal microbiome,
and that's where seed comes in. Many of 10 women have an unstable vaginal microbiome, and that's where Seed comes in.
Many of you might know Seed as a pioneer probiotic, so we're excited to share their latest innovation of the vaginal microbiome.
It's the Vaginal Synbiotic VS01.
It's the first vaginal probiotic suppository clinically validated to promote an optimal
vaginal microbiome.
So it's a vaginal microbiome that's dominated by L-crespatus, the hero probiotic for vaginal
health.
And after 15 years of research, after 15 years of leading research, Seed discovered that optimal vaginal microbiomes
are typically dominated by one bacteria called Lactobacillus crispatus. It turns out that this
bacteria is one that nine out of 10 of us are missing. So VSO1 is also 10 times more effective
than leading oral probiotics for vaginal health. VSO1 gives you the power to reclaim control of your vaginal health
instead of just targeting the symptoms with existing harsh treatments.
BSO1 targets the source.
So we are excited that we are working with Seed to promote their new BSO1.
If you want to try it, use our code TOAST for 25% off Seed's BSO1 starter kit
at seed.com slash toast.
That's S-E-E-D dot com slash toast. Code TOAST for 25% off the BSO1 starter kit at seed.com slash toast. That's S-E-E-D.com slash toast. Code toast for 25%
off the BS01 starter kit. Today's episode is also brought to you by Taylor Farms. Taylor Farms mini

Our next story, one of our favorite.
Oh, our next story.
One of our favorite stories of the year.
Jonathan Van Ness is finally responding
to the shock expose.
Oh, I totally forgot about that. that rage issues on Queer Eye set so yeah he went on a podcast
ironically called Table Manners with Jesse and Lenny Ware and he talked about that report I
think was published in the Rolling Stone about him being emotionally abusive on the set of Queer Eye
he said it was not based in reality nearly four months after the piece was published.
He said a lot of people were like
looking for a reason to hate me
or like looking for a reason to be like,
see, I always knew that they were a fake C-U-N-T
and this is the proof.
He said my family was so supportive
of my husband and my team,
but I didn't even get on social media
or like look at my phone for three weeks.
Jonathan said they and their queer eye castmates
first learned of the investigative profile in December
and claimed that a lot of the information gathered
was taken out of context to make them look as bad as possible.
He said, I think people forget no matter how famous you are,
you're still a person.
That article came at like an incredibly vulnerable time,
like for my hair care company, for like my whole career.
There was trauma with the hair care.
It was just really rough.
Then he said that the article was
overwhelmingly untrue and allegedly done in bad faith oh allegedly by some bad faith actors but
admitted that there may have been times when they snapped at people or could have been better
so I feel one of two ways because I do often feel like there are bad faith actors in journalism and
I feel like certain um media outlets have like a really bad reputation I feel like now everybody knows like Business Insider like kind of their shtick is like
they write really largely false articles and they target people I feel like it's happened a couple
of times and now they're like a uh news source people really don't there's no reputability behind
they just they're like kind of known for really making stuff up and just like targeting people
for no reason no and like having an agenda and then finding things that fit into that and ignoring everything
else. Like if there is, you know, 99% good and 1% bad, the article is about the 1% bad. And then
that defines that person. I don't think so. The interesting thing though, is I feel like
Rolling Stone, and maybe I'm wrong about this, is randomly like a publication with like no allegiances and no agenda.
It does feel random for them to go after JVN when it's largely a music publication.
Yeah, I think that's more of what it was.
Like I think now they just write stuff.
And I do feel like I wouldn't think that Queer Eye and JVN would be in their crosshairs.
Right.
So I agree. I don't know what the agenda
would be or why and it's just it's you really have to take each like hit piece you know um
it's not one size fits all because like when we were you know it was I feel like the last one we
really went at talked about at length was the human one and that one to me felt like really
bad faith like seriously like who fucking cares and couldn't really, and I could visualize some of the stuff that they were saying.
And either it felt like it was not true or like, okay, so.
Irrelevant.
Yeah, right.
Objection.
Relevant.
With the JVN one, the JVN one reminds me a lot of Ellen's article in the sense that like
I can really see it all being true.
And I feel it's interesting that in this interview, JVN's not entirely denying
some of the stuff in the article. So I don't really know how to feel about it. I do feel
like I actually agree with what JVN is saying. It being like a really bad time. I feel like the
media like knows when someone's kind of having a bad moment and there is sort of this vulnerable energy and people pounce on it because there was a lot of um things being said about JVN hair yeah well it's just
surprising to me that when someone who is a media darling yeah gets this treatment treatment and
it's like why they've always been super aligned and I feel like JVN is that person like couldn't
you know everyone loves industry favorite
and talented like we all break out star from that show star like with good reason so much
like oozing personality and then also just like an industry darling yeah people love so when it's
that sort of person it's like oh you turned on your own yeah why yeah so that's an Ellen thing
too and then also the similarity with Ellen it's like behavior on set right because it's not like
Huberman made himself out to be a dating coach and was like treat women with respect no and
then everything it does in his personal life is the opposite of that but it's also not like
Huberman was all these accusations against Huberman were happening in a place of work no but
he's allowed to do what he wants in his personal life if what he was doing in his personal life
was like actually secretly like eating fast food and right and taking ozempic yeah and uh you know being a drug addict and and not seeing the
sun like that it would be major congress everything that he tells about us about himself yes it's not
like he proclaims to be a relationship expert so what do i give a rip what he's doing in his
relationship jvn does proclaim to be some sort of like kindness expert. Same with Helen.
What's her name? Ellen. So if your behavior IRL and behind the scenes is the, is antithetical to
that, then that's definitely like an article worth writing. Yeah. Um, but again, I, I, I'm
suspicious like of why articles get written about certain people. Do you know what I mean? Like who
did JVN piss off? Because you're right. He is this person. Sorry. It sounds like written about certain people. Do you know what I mean? Like, who did JVN piss off?
Because you're right, he is this person.
Sorry, they are this person.
Well, it sounds like a lot of people he pissed off.
Right.
But up until this point, JVN was someone
who was sort of universally beloved.
Yeah.
And people like that don't get hit pieces
written about them.
Right.
So what happened behind the scenes?
Maybe he pissed someone off.
Yeah.
With his bad attitude.
And also, like like Going on A podcast
Like that nobody's heard of
To have this conversation
Where you can kind of
Control
Like
But why not his own podcast
What's going on with his podcast
Remember it was like
We've had this conversation
But getting curious
Right
It's one of the podcasts
That sort of fell
It's done
Right
Well we looked at it then
But now it's like
Maybe
And then maybe
He like took a second
Remember we made a list
Of like celebrity podcasts
That were such a big deal
Now it's back He has two versions of it Pretty curious And getting curious And then maybe he like took a second. Remember, we made a list of like celebrity podcasts that were such a big deal.
Now it's back.
He has two versions of it.
Pretty Curious and Getting Curious.
And he posts all the time.
Four days ago.
No, two days ago, I see.
With Alan Carr.
Interesting.
But I think that's also like due also just to the nature of celebrity like you you're hot you're not like everyone's talking about you for one second like it has its ups and
downs so maybe that's I don't know yeah well are you ready for our fifth and final story I am
a little Real Housewives casting news another new cast member for Real Housewives of New York City
Raquel Chevremont has been cast
for season 15. She will join fellow newcomer Rebecca Minkoff as previously reported. I have
such a, we haven't even talked about Rebecca Minkoff. She is an art curator, Raquel, and she
has joined the series for season 15 which is currently filming. She has more than 20 years
of experience working with institutions and advising corporations, collectors, and artists
alike. She has curated artists such as a bunch of artists that i've never heard of but
that doesn't mean anything because i'm not into art and more into collections for award-nominated
films and tv series including severance empire law and order and just like that okay this is like
the type of um casting i i enjoy like someone i don't know i've never heard of but does something
really cool and you know hopefully is wealthy you know because if you work in art art doesn't equal money um
so hopefully like she you know comes to the table with like money and things like that
but we didn't really even talk about Rebecca Minkoff coming on I just want to also add so
her announcement was an exclusive interview with GLAAD because she's a queer woman and she said I
honestly didn't think they would be interested in me in the end
because they already
had a queer woman.
I wasn't sure
if they were going
to want two queer women
on a franchise
that has historically
been about married
heterosexual women.
I think it was a bold decision
and honestly a more
authentic representation
of NYC.
Who's the other
queer woman?
Jenna Lyons.
And she's coming back.
Even though we had said
that she wasn't.
But I feel like Jenna Lyons
doesn't make a great case
for someone like
Rebecca Minkoff
to come on.
A name.
Yeah. And when you're a name you have more to protect. You're certainly like Jenna Lyons doesn't make a great case for someone like Rebecca Minkoff to come on like Jen a name a bit yeah and you have when you're a name you have more to protect you're certainly like Jenna Lyons I can honestly say was like probably one of the worst housewives ever she
herself is interesting her career is interesting her apartment's very interesting but in terms of
playing the game she really wasn't doing much for anyone and I feel like Rebecca Minkoff is also
someone maybe even more Rebecca Minkoff has like a billion dollar brand to protect like Jenna Lyons had this is known for like having had this amazing
job and Jenna Lyons actually was very housewife of her like she has her own small beauty company
where she makes fake eyelashes like it's actually very season 1 OC yeah Rebecca Minkoff I don't know
who owns her company but it's like a she's huge I think she's gonna give us even less I disagree I think she's more
comparable to like Kathy Hilton coming on or Lisa Rinna like someone who was famous before
Jenna Lyons wasn't like the first name to come on Housewives like a lot of women come on with
Stuff to Lose and still brought it I also think that Rebecca Minkoff as a brand agreed I don't
know who if she even owns how much she works with it but I think think that Rebecca Minkoff as a brand agreed. I don't know who, if she even owns it, how much she works with it, but I think she's still very involved. I think her brand would
benefit from being on the show and being introduced to a new audience and the platform. And I think
if she does it all well, like it would be really, really good. No. And actually I'm sorry. I totally
changed my opinion on this. My biggest issue with Jenna Lyons on the show was that it was such a
power imbalance and everyone was such, everyone was acting like such a loser. Nobody wanted to argue with Jenna Lyons. Nobody wanted to say anything to Jenna
Lyons because she's this major, major name. And they're all on their way, hopefully, to becoming
important influencers and fashion people. So it was really imbalanced. And actually,
it got really frustrating because they weren't having arguments with Jenna that they normally
would have with other women. Rebecca coming in as another name, it's like, oh, you know,
it levels the playing field a little bit.'s like well Jenna's not the only important
person in this group now I kind of like that actually I like that too and I feel like sometimes
that happens in Beverly Hills is probably the most comparable like when Denise Richards came
on everyone was a fan nobody's but then that fades but Psy was on um a radio show and they
went to commercial and I don't think she realized that they like
stream on SiriusXM.com like they stream what happens during the commercial break I think it
was Jeff Lewis and so she got caught on hot mic saying like you know Rebecca's cool but she's
giving us nothing like she's just protecting like she's very gentle lines like giving nothing okay
so you're right floating by on your name now maybe that has changed because the whole season hadn't
been filmed yet but that was's like unfiltered.
And I actually like was really happy that I heard that.
Just like talking to Jeff like person to person.
Not.
Okay.
So.
I think she said she's boring and doesn't talk.
Like I think that's what she said.
It's not as I said.
But you know who knows.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well we have art on The Real Housewives.
And fashion.
Fashion. Just like at The Toast. Right. A couple we have art on The Real Housewives. And fashion. Fashion.
Just like at The Toast.
Right.
A couple of artists, fashionistas.
And we gotta go because, you know, we're headlining the Beacon Theater tonight for the second
night in a row.
So.
It's like major stuff.
So, yeah.
Thanks.
So, that's our show for the week.
What a week it was.
Very varied.
I think next week, in the spirit of authenticity, Monday's episode will probably be pre-recorded.
Oh you think?
I do think.
So that we can
skip town?
And we have to set up
our podcast studio
in the Hamptons.
So like we have a lot of work
like I think Monday
we'll just benefit from.
Well they're always pre-recorded.
So you want to record
Sunday night is what you're saying?
Yeah I meant like
a little bit in advance.
Okay.
In the spirit of authenticity.
Okay.
I had planned to.
We'll see.
Just know like starting Tuesday of next week,
like we will be recording from the Hamptons,
which is so exciting.
Which is so exciting.
A fresh new look.
Summer, summer, summer is here.
