Starting point is 00:00:00 Good morning, Millennials! Welcome back to the Toast and happy Thursday. Yeah, that's right. She's smiling from ear to ear. It's Thursday. It might as well be Saturday, you know? Like at this point, it's just, we're sliding in. Congrats, grads.
Starting point is 00:00:16 We made it to the latter half of the week. We are almost graduates of the, I'm going to say, 18th week of the year. Oh, I thought you were going to say, we're almost the graduates from the School of Hard Knocks. Oh, you really thought that's what I was going to say? I thought you were going to, like, remark more on where we were graduating from. We're graduating from this week,
Starting point is 00:00:35 and my guess is that it's 18th week. I don't know why. We're actually, we're almost halfway through the year. There's 52. Which would be 21. 20. I might be spot on, Laura There's 52. Which would be 21. 20. I might be spot on, Laura.
Starting point is 00:00:47 I feel like it may be 19. Also like, is it a leap year? It's, you know, changes a lot of things. Probably one of my favorite. It's the 24th week.
Starting point is 00:00:56 We're both wrong. Wait. How does that make any sense? Oh, I'm sorry. Cause we're dumb. That's why. Because 52 divided by two would be 26.
Starting point is 00:01:02 Because we're dumb. I love it. That's what happens when you're dumb. Yeah, yeah. Being dumb is hard. Now I know how everyone else feels. It was actually kind of fun. I had fun being dumb.
Starting point is 00:01:15 No, I had fun. I had the time of my life just sort of feeling unattached and untethered to reality or facts. And I definitely recommend the experience. And just assuming I was right, never questioning myself questioning myself like it was kind of amazing yeah I had something I wanted to say like 35 seconds ago now I can't remember well I have something that needs to be said first and foremost like before oh yeah yeah I walked into my studio this morning and there was a present on my chair and I I assumed it was something for the show so I just set it aside you know I'm aalizer. So I didn't even think about it again until we pressed record. And I have a present on my chair. Wait, wait, wait. Before we dive in, I want to give a major shout out to one
Starting point is 00:01:54 Zachary Weinreb for really helping facilitate. And I just asked him to like steal the package from your like package area and just put it in your studio. No, he opened it. He wrapped it. He left a little note. I didn't ask him to do any of that. He really went above and beyond the call of duty. When I saw the gift on my chair, it said two jacks from Turdy. And I was like, oh my God, Turdy. But then I was also like, oh my God, my husband, he was definitely the middleman. And that's really sweet. It was so sweet. And I can't stress enough how little I asked him to do that part. He really went above and beyond. And I think he was excited because he knows what the gift is. And it's something he can enjoy too.
Starting point is 00:02:28 Is it time to open the gift? It is time. It's so unexpected, you guys. And it's heavy. It's got heft. Yes, it is. Major heft. What is it?
Starting point is 00:02:47 It is... Oh my God, my butter dish. It's a butter dish. That's right. With all that fresh bread being baked, you need a proper vessel for your butter. And I thought that was one that was like cute and not, like all of them, Jackie, were so chewy.
Starting point is 00:03:08 Like I wish you could have seen the selection. Oh, like our favorite swirly Ray Dunn? Oh, wait. There's instructions. Pour cold water into the base of this dish. Place the butter into the middle. Oh, to keep it cold. That way, like it's still, it doesn't go bad.
Starting point is 00:03:23 Really? And was this designed by Elon himself? So I don't want to complain, but when I was at your house, like my only complaint was that the butter was hard. Hard. Because it was coming out of the fridge. So it was a gift for me and for you and for Zach and for everyone. That's so amazing.
Starting point is 00:03:37 Did you see that Lauren Elizabeth made her own butter? I did see that Lauren Elizabeth made her own butter. And I just want to say something to Lauren Elizabeth, who I know is listening. I feel like she's doing everything to not start her sourdough journey because I know that's like what's next for her. And she foisted me onto mine. And so she's like, I'm making my own butter. Like, Lauren Elizabeth, like start your sourdough journey.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Like stop, make haste. Stop dallying. Did you know also a fun fact about Lauren Elizabeth? I actually found this out on her TikTok, not even from, a text she is moving to the suburbs like you know that's that part of her life is is beginning and she's moving in with her grandma her her man and the baby are all living with her grandma and she's like so excited about it and it was her man's idea to move in with her grandma that is so beautiful I think she did say she when I pressed her last about the sourdough she said like I'm waiting till I move so I have like the space and you know I don't want to get started with
Starting point is 00:04:29 growing my start but like I'm sorry cool sourdough waits for nobody cool that you're making better but like what are you putting it on oh my god well good question and you just reminded me I watched Miracle last night okay and I can't really say watched because I did turn it off like I I'm shocked that you guys, I feel like maybe I was watching the wrong movie, but it was literally about the Soviet war, the hockey game. Like there's no way. What a piece of shit. Oh my God. Like what a bad movie. And you guys made me look bad because I'm like dragging Ben at this point. Every time we get in bed, I'm like, what should we watch? What should we learn? And last night he was like,
Starting point is 00:05:01 do we have to learn something? And I'm like, yeah. He's like, can we watch Entourage? I'm like, no. last night he was like do we have to learn something and I'm like yeah he's like can we watch Entourage I'm like no so I have to like make a good case and Miracle like actually made me look bad like I might lose the remote tonight because of Miracle you know what I want to watch that I think you should watch too on your historical journey and I think we can trust that it's a really good movie because it was so prestigious and it's a movie that we like reference all the time it's actually insane that we haven't watched it and it's based on a book no like if you thought hard enough maybe you could guess oh I know no I don't I don't know Memoirs of a Geisha I can't let me tell you why it's a good point
Starting point is 00:05:39 Memoirs of a Geisha is so important to me it's so important to me too and you know knowing that just keep in mind like i have no clue what the movie's about i don't know who what time period what country i'm assuming japan who knows and i love it that way like it's so important that i reference memoirs of a geisha at least once a week without knowing one single like i can't ruin the perfect balance it's very delicate. Right. And like, what if it turns out that the movie's like really sad and it's like, we've been like giggling,
Starting point is 00:06:09 like we've been turning it into all these things, like memoirs of a stride stand, like every time someone writes a book, like memoirs of a Tariq, memoirs of a Tariq's arm tight. Jackie, memoirs of a gay Shah, probably the best. Yeah, but that's not our joke. Like that's on him. No, but I referenced that also probably quarterly.
Starting point is 00:06:24 Right. So if it turned out we watched a movie and that's not our joke. Like, that's on him. No, but I reference that also probably quarterly. Right. So if it turned out we watched a movie and that's not something that we should reference anymore, that would harm our brand. For sure. And I just can't explain. Like, what would we say every time someone wrote a book? Congrats.
Starting point is 00:06:36 We would say memoirs of a gay shot. Yeah, no. Thanks for that recommendation. I might watch it, though. No. Oh, you literally can't. OK, I can't suppress it. Like we can't we can't have it. We can't have nice things.
Starting point is 00:06:54 We're going to destroy that, too. No. OK, well, I'm still watching the Valley, so I'm not in any rush to start something else. Things are definitely turning towards Spotlight and Brittany and Jax's relationship it's really sad I still don't know like what's happened but I feel like the show is going to get me to a place where I'm going to like make peace with their divorce and be like good riddance you know because when we heard the news like you go into a state of denial I like this couple but I feel like after watching this I'll be like maybe not yeah I think what what is shown
Starting point is 00:07:26 towards the end is like stuff you can't really come back from interesting okay um so I'm really looking forward to today's show because it's very low-key in this sort of season we have really busy Wednesdays and really busy Fridays because Fridays are weenie and queenie of the week and then it's also summer house today we kind of we're untethered it's just a sort of freedom I'm feeling that I wanted to acknowledge it's a low-key classic sort of day it's a l-k-c-k-o-d so now we get to do our favorite thing and talk about ourselves. Ourselves. Unburden ourselves. I, um, I what? You know?
Starting point is 00:08:17 Well, something exciting about me this morning that I have going on is that I am in the midst of making two sourdoughs right now. I've never done double duty. And? And we'll see how it goes. I maybe both suffer because my attentions are split. I've spread myself too thin, spread my dough too thin, but I just did my stretch and folds. And now we're going to sit at room temperature for a while because I would love to gift a loaf to Olivia. You know, I I just love to drive on over to my neighbor's house and be like I baked you a fresh loaf of bread well wishes I know that you are like in this sort of transitional era where like the end result is like ballerina farm homesteading trad wife but I sort of see the way you just described it
Starting point is 00:09:00 and I think your goal transition wise shouldn't be to ballerini it should be to one Brie Vandekamp like that's who you are these days yeah I had that thought recently because like she makes her own muffins bring the basket jam yeah always in the apron and I do think but like also loves a Louboutin yeah she's extremely stylish I do think it's trending more that way for me because I will never be Allerina Farm because I can't have chickens in my county. Not only that I do think a part of the homesteading trad life which you know no tea no shade like is looking decrepit you know like no makeup like dresses like that are you know sorry ugly. Brie Van De Kemp would
Starting point is 00:09:44 never like Brie Van Deekamp was doing the most you're right in a heel in a pencil skirt in a button-down blouse yeah plus she was a business owner like eventually she had her lifestyle brand that was probably my favorite part of the show which was crushing life used her garage as like a studio kitchen like Martha Stewart definitely my favorite arc for Brie in general but perhaps even out of all the cast members and her son, who they had a very traumatizing relationship up until that point.
Starting point is 00:10:09 Like she learned to accept him the way that he was. He became like her CFO. Now I do believe, spoiler alert, like he ends up betraying her in some sort of business deal. But that point where yes, her garage is her studio. She has like a full fledged,
Starting point is 00:10:22 she's literally like a modern Joanna Gaines. Claudia, my garage is my studio. Oh my God. No, no the Bree Vandicap like that should be your mood board for like the rest of the year we need to no offense like love her ballerina farm like you're never gonna be that like you care too much about other things not only that but I think like your wants and your needs are different you just both like sourdough and like you want to feed your family you know ingredients without GMOs like oh speaking of oh my god I placed a grocery order yesterday I am you know I've taken on the role for our family trip this summer of organizing the groceries and I made a collaborative note I said to it I said in the group chat I'm like please use this note for groceries if it's not on this list
Starting point is 00:11:00 it won't be in the house so make haste if you will so everybody made their little things and I knew when I was getting to Jackie like let me let me read you some of the stuff on this list first of all I was panicked ordering eggs because one time I went and when I was staying at your house I bought eggs that were like not not approved and I was like what is the phrase because they were all organic I'm like no there's something else that she likes with the eggs I literally called you to pick up I'm calling Olivia I'm like, no, there's something else that she likes with the eggs. I literally called you to pick up. I'm calling Olivia. I'm like sweating. Olivia's like, it's the pasture-raised Vital Farms.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Yeah, it doesn't have to be Vital Farms, but it does have to be organic pasture-raised. I did want to tell you that I wasn't actually able to get that. Okay, that's fine because also when Shannon was here, she was telling me, and that's why I wound up buying those weird eggs, but she was telling me that pretty much like it's all the same well that's the other thing when I was ordering groceries like we're gonna be spending our summer in the Hamptons like the Hamptons has the best fresh fruit vegetables farm stands eggs like why the hell would I order
Starting point is 00:11:59 online but just you know just for the day that we get there I needed I mean these are and like I seriously had so many questions for Jackie all-purpose unbleached organic flour I was like okay I actually was able to find that but then the next thing said bread flour organic organic bread flour yeah it's just another bag of flour that's bread flour not all-purpose flour but you make bread with all-purpose flour like the the all purpose flour is better for the starter and the bread flour is better for the loaf. I just learned that. Okay. Well,
Starting point is 00:12:30 I wasn't able to get bread flour organic. I hope you can just find that elsewhere. Like I was seriously panicking. I'm placing a big order at thrive market. I'm getting all my flour from there because they have the best flour and it's heavy. I don't want to carry it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:12:44 Then the other thing was like, I saw, I'm like, nobody put milk and everybody's going to need milk for like coffee or cereal. Like milk is just something you got to have. But of course it's kind of like, you know, you're not ordering salt on your list. It's something that the person ordering groceries needs to just consider. So I was like, okay, I know people like half and half for their coffee. That's easy. And then I'm like, oh yeah, them kids, them kids be like chugging milk. milk and I'm like Jackie's always going on about something when it comes to milk I'm like is it pasture-raised like I literally couldn't figure it out and then I remembered our ad copy for by heart formula and Jackie's always going on and on about how great
Starting point is 00:13:20 it is because it's grass-fed grass-. Exactly. But your dairy products, I learned this from Bobby from Flav City. Grass fed cows. And then the ideal is, of course, you know, get what you can get. And sometimes they don't even sell grass fed. And also it's expensive. Like it's all good. But you know, it's the ideal, says Bobby. Yeah. And then I really don't even want to get into the fruit because when I'm with you and we're shopping for fruit, like, I want an apple. And I'm going to go for the biggest, juiciest one. And Jackie's like, no, we have to go to the organic section. We're like, the apples are sadder, for sure.
Starting point is 00:13:53 But I guess they're not, you know, pumped with whatever it is that you're avoiding. So I did my best to acquire exclusively only organic fruit. Just know the clementines in the house will not be organic. That's fine. Sometimes not all my fruit is organic. Like sometimes the blueberries that aren't organic because they're like, you know, real superhero fruits.
Starting point is 00:14:14 They're huge. And like, I'll get those because the organic ones, they look sad. Yeah. The organic community needs to work on their fruit presentation. Like I'm never going to be drawn like just visually to the organic section. It's giving shriveled.
Starting point is 00:14:29 It's giving bruised. It's giving raisin. Right. Because, you know, it has a shelf life. But sometimes like there are two things and one just says organic and one is inorganic. They look the same. Great. Organic.
Starting point is 00:14:38 Right. Of course. Of course. Yeah. But also I've realized recently like fruit shopping is not really something that you can leave up to the internet or the apps. Like you've got to go and pick your own fruits from the store. I completely agree.
Starting point is 00:14:52 I've gotten burned so many times. Even when I shop myself, I'll buy a bag of apples only to then take them out of the bag at home and like half of them are rotten. Yeah. It's wrong. It's wrong. I agree.
Starting point is 00:15:04 Fruit is so. Personal. No, Casey Musgraves really said it best. Even something as small as an apple. That's simple, but somehow complex. Was it designed? Was it divine? Can I speak to the architect?
Starting point is 00:15:27 I kind of love that line about the apple. I'm obsessed with that song. Me too, by the way. And the first line of the song is that song about an apple. Yeah. And it's literally so poignant. Like, first of all, an apple's an apple. It's so simple.
Starting point is 00:15:40 But it's like, it's biblical, Eve. It's so complex. No, but the fact that it has the seeds that regenerate itself it's inspiring it's brilliant i feel like that's really you know where people get stuck because like when i hear that song or i see the apple and i think about the architect like to me the architect is god of course that's what she's talking about god's divine presence but for other people like they see science. Mother Earth.
Starting point is 00:16:06 Yeah. Oh, that too. I see it too. Yeah. But I like, I think God invented science. Well, that's the other thing. I think God invented like Earth and all of the scientific things that go on. Yes, I agree.
Starting point is 00:16:17 Yeah. But I think in the song, Casey's referring to like the Lord. Architect is God. Right. Like all these different things in the world that like are just so simple, like an apple. It's so not. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:28 It's beautiful. No, and it was designed to perfection. And I want to say like- And the best design is simple design. We see that, you know, with the Apple logo and whatnot. Casey Musgraves has said that she, when she writes music,
Starting point is 00:16:43 a lot of the times her best songs are written when she's on LSD. And only a person on LSD could come up with the thought about an apple. No. Like, for real. But then this album is kind of anti-drug. Oh, you're right, actually. And she did say she stopped smoking pot.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Yeah, on the songs. Now, I don't know what that means for LSD, but I feel like that would go with the pot bucket of not doing yeah not doing that anymore yeah no I don't even think this is I think this is someone who's come off of LSD and is like finding the wonder in reality reality yeah yeah that album kind of like came and went but it's really good yes I listen like I have some save songs and it's a really really strong album I agree and Luke Holmes album drops tomorrow oh my god we haven't spoken enough about that because he just sort of like plopped it on us surprise coming out in a week Father's Day album the lead single came out last week um The Man He Sees in Me like hysterical crying yeah yeah. Yeah. Another, I think, song dropped today.
Starting point is 00:17:46 And then the album comes out tomorrow. And it's just, it's very exciting. It's too much, actually. It's a little nerve wracking of like how, of the emotions, you know? Yeah. You have to really be in that sort of place. And he's been dropping clips of him singing some songs on his Instagram. And like, they're all amazing.
Starting point is 00:18:06 What did we expect? Yeah. Nothing less. Yeah so I'm excited about that. And it'll be thrilling to have new music. Yeah even though we got new music every week recently and it just doesn't stick. I know you know I have been listening randomly to Miranda Lambert. I've just sort of gone on a Miranda Lambert hole and I was listening. It's so funny because one of her biggest songs, whenever I like played Morgan, Morgan, Miranda Lambert radio, that song comes up. Stand on the floor, start your beat, stop clapping, got a real good feeling, something bad about to happen. And we, of course, stand on the floor, start cracking, got a real good feeling, something bad about to happen.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Now, of course, we think of that song and we think of, of course, Carrie Underwood. Oh, Sunday night, the football, whatever. But I really forgot about the lore of that song prior to Carrie Underwood. It's a Miranda Lambert song that Carrie Underwood sings on. And it's pretty old. But I imagine at the time when it came out, it was like the craziest craziest thing I think it's like the only collab these two have ever done they were like the two biggest women in country I think they were constantly getting like pit against one another you know Carrie was very like all-american Miranda was like this sort of darker energy bad
Starting point is 00:19:16 gal of country and when they came together you know the song has lived many lives since then but at its core it's a fabulous collab between like the two women of country yeah it's so good like the OG song before Carrie Underwood took it to another level yeah there's levels but do you think like whenever that song gets played on NBC like Miranda Lambert is cashing a check it's her song yeah probably both of them yeah that's nice for her we love love passive income. We do. We do. So speaking of income, I think it's time. The job at hand. The job at hand to get into the Fast Five stories that you need to know. Okay. And the Fast Five stories that you need to know are brought to you by Kindle Vela. So introducing Kindle Vela, if you're a reader, listen up, especially if you're a Kindle girly. Starting point is 00:24:44 a Radar Online story published on Wednesday that claimed that the Bravo reality show was getting a total revamp and only keeping Teresa Dolores and Rachel Fuda. He said there was a bunch of casting news about Jersey that was reported today. None of it is true. No decisions have been made.
Starting point is 00:24:58 We haven't even had any serious conversations about next season. He went on to reiterate that anything people hear about casting in the next six months is so is fake so don't believe it he also explained that viewers will understand why showrunners decided to forego a traditional reunion with the divisive cast he said the finale is epic and it's great and i'm excited for everyone to see it and we all came to the same understanding after watching it so i don't think it'll be a big surprise
Starting point is 00:25:22 okay like everyone's annoying me because it's actually a good season of jersey i don't think it'll be a big surprise. Okay, like everyone's annoying me because it's actually a good season of Jersey. I don't know why everyone's like jumping ship. Like, oh, the house is burning. It's really, I have watched, I have suffered through far worse seasons of Housewives and nobody said anything, you know? But literally Jersey's not bad.
Starting point is 00:25:40 It's good. I don't know what the hell everyone's talking about. Yeah, and I also think like as far as rebooting a cast it never works like it's what they're doing on roni right now I think they're not giving up but it's not gangbusters and so I don't think it's making them feel like we should do this with more shows yeah yeah no it didn't like have this sort of ripple effect that it was so amazing that we need to do that with because there have been franchises OC that have been needing that for a long time and they never did it. They did it with New York. I don't think it was like the most amazing decision. It's fine and it has potential, but Jersey is not there. Am I crazy? It's literally good. We're
Starting point is 00:26:17 definitely at a standstill and I could see it getting way worse where there is like seriously aligned. It's not even just Teresa Melissa. It it's everyone like there is a full half the cast will not talk to the other they won't show up so I understand why they maybe had to get creative with the reunion but to me that makes it sound like that season's even better but everybody's just sort of like the sky is falling with Jersey and I'm not seeing it I think it's good yeah yeah and I just the Bravo community is so weird and I always disagree with them because like this is where everybody's like we need a reboot what no like I have watched some of the most piece of shit seasons of a million different franchises and people on Twitter are gagged oh my god I'm upset like acting like it's Steven Spielberg like it's not I I'm never when I take the temperature
Starting point is 00:27:01 of like the Bravo audience I'm never on their level it actually frightens me when I am like with Lindsay and Carl I'm like wait am I wrong yeah yeah yeah it's like that's how off they always are to me what would Jesse Solomon do to me to me so Rahon going strong I'm gonna watch that next after the valley it's just keeping me up so late watching tv like makes me go to sleep so late my aura ring is like stop it yeah your rings disappointed so I'm kind of like looking forward to being done watching tv because like I need more sleep for aura yeah for aura not like not disrespectful I just and I can't stress this enough. I love my aura ring so much.
Starting point is 00:27:50 It is the single greatest thing in my days. Like nothing makes me happier. Not my husband, not my family, not my dog. Like just this ring. What's so funny is like everyone wears one. Like when I did my book signing, like everybody had one. I feel like I now notice like literally everyone that I see in me like has an aura ring okay and so what is the what is the word I'm looking like stereotype association no I mean rule like etiquette almost okay what is aura etiquette this is the first
Starting point is 00:28:24 time tonight I'm hitting a couple events I'm hitting the town and what is the etiquette for where it's not an apple wash it's not fugly beyond belief but it's not a little it's not a black tie event it's like a cool looking event yes it's a um yeah I guess I'll just say it's like a fashion thing yeah so I think that you need to dress up your aura ring and add more rings you can't just like show up by the way right if it's one of many rings I think that's the best look for it I need to purchase some more rings and also this ring memory told the story where I was out to lunch with Shannon Ford she was wearing this ring I'm like oh my god it's so cute can I try it on she was like yeah of course and then she was like you know what keep it because it doesn't fit on my middle
Starting point is 00:29:01 finger and it's really meant to be a middle finger ring and it looks so much better on you and I seriously I was I didn't even fight so are you saying your middle finger is like skinnier than Shannon's middle finger I never thought about it that way I guess that is what I'm saying wow yeah are you worried about me yeah that's nature oh my god wait I want to I want to say I just remembered. I have to go on a rant. Like seriously. So I made this TikTok of me dancing and like everyone was obsessed with it.
Starting point is 00:29:30 And I was just like reading through the comments. They're like, oh my God, you're so funny and beautiful. And there were like a couple of comments being like, the body checking is out of control. Now I'm not mentally ill. So I didn't know what that was. And I went online to find it. And it's basically like a trend on
Starting point is 00:29:45 social media popular amongst influencers to like be filming yourself either like in an outfit or in a bathing suit and just they like you're clocking yourself in the in the camera and like adjusting your body so that you look better okay okay so body checking like why is there a word for that first of all like, I am filming myself. I want to look good. And I'm looking at myself and I know my angles. They were like, the body checking is triggering. Well, then you seriously need to get off the internet.
Starting point is 00:30:14 Like, anybody who, the person who invented that word, like, that's not a thing. No. That's not a thing. And so if we didn't check ourselves and we looked bad, you're fucking fat and you have fucking cellulite. So I'm just adjusting because I want to look good. You're body checking and you're triggering. You're literally so toxic. You are mentally ill.
Starting point is 00:30:31 Like seriously, get off the internet. If you use body checking in a serious way, like seek treatment. I did not know that was a thing. I was shocked. And then I remembered, I think I've spoken about it once with Remy. She was talking about it. I'm like, what is body checking? And she was explaining it to me and I and I still didn't understand it and now that I I get it now because I and then I saw in the video what they were
Starting point is 00:30:52 referencing I like was dancing and then I looked over at the camera I was like oh my ass looks fat so I just like turned around a little bit like yeah I'm a human being I'm a girl and I'm fine you're not that's insane I look at myself on the monitor. Oh, sit up straight. Did I body check? Yes, you did. So, and that's wrong that I, that I see myself hunched and I want to be up straight. I'm wrong for that. Yes, you are completely wrong. I have reached a point in my career as a, you know, as a commentator on culture, that's really what I am, where I will no longer be criticizing anything an influencer does. And, you know, I saw another TikTok about this where somebody was going on and she was so right. Like influencing and content creating is the only job
Starting point is 00:31:37 literally in the entire world where women make more money than men. Like seriously, even things that are, you know, stereotypically female, like a cookie, being a chef, like Bobby Flay comes in and makes your barbecue better than you ever could. Traditionally female things like makeup, the biggest beauty gurus are also men. So it's like, we really need to stop criticizing influencers. It's internalized misogyny to use your guys's words. It's internalized misogyny. It is the only industry, first of all, where women who are traditionally like homemakers or not the breadwinners are earning money for their families. Sometimes they're out earning their husbands
Starting point is 00:32:12 with traditional jobs. Even if they're not moms, even if they're just like business, like me, like my business is being, I make more money than all my male counterparts. I can't say that if I'm a basketball player. I can't say that if I work in finance. I can't say that if I'm a fucking architecture. I can't say that if I work in finance. I can't say that if I'm a fucking architecture. I can't say that if I'm an engineer.
Starting point is 00:32:28 Shut the fuck up. Stop criticizing influencers to a level that you would never criticize, oh, an accountant. Shut the fuck up. And I think we need to be criticizing the accountants more. Oh, hell yeah, we do. Is anybody body checking what the accountants are doing? I'm going to body, okay, when they were like, you're body checking, I'm like are doing. I'm going to body. Okay. When they were like your body checking, I'm like, who did I hurt? My understanding is body checking is like going up and like chest bumping someone.
Starting point is 00:32:50 Yeah. I like, I was so upset that I learned that phrase. Like I wish I didn't, I don't want to know whatever, whoever's walking around this earth, like not knowing what that is. I want you guys.
Starting point is 00:33:00 I want to be you. Well, that was me five minutes ago. I'm sorry. But now you know how I feel about phrases that are just oh my god explanatory for a normal everyday process body checking and like apparently if you body check like you have an eating disorder like that's the jump okay okay and that hurts actual people with eating disorders by the way because then everyone has one right yeah so then no one has
Starting point is 00:33:25 one but actual people but actual people are suffering I was sick from this news that's sickening I just want to say if anybody ever criticizes me again it's internalized misogyny and anti-semitism that one doesn't like mean so much anymore as much which is sad no I I just I see the way like we're having these crazy conversations about influencers like what it means for the culture like these huge conversations and you're not having that about literally anyone else name an industry seriously where women make more money than men gymnastics that's really the only one I can think of yeah so I won't be criticizing the gymnasts and I will not be I like seriously I will not criticize influencers anymore oh and our favorite one
Starting point is 00:34:12 Claudia really the number one industry where women make more than men is modeling oh yeah yeah yeah yes yes and do you think it's coincidence so many models are also influencers? No. Right. I don't want to hear it anymore. Like, until we start having these deep antithetical, like, what does this mean for society about people in marketing? I don't want to fucking hear it. I really don't. Yeah. And I want to thank, I forget the girl.
Starting point is 00:34:40 I should have saved the TikTok. When she was just going on about how it's literally the only industry where like women make so much more money than men and like we're trying to we're trying to tear them down and who's doing the tearing down the women it's the women and nobody this is the hill that I will die on like nobody hates women more than women and women in the public sphere get so much more criticism from other women like I've never seen anyone I always love to compare like when you think about podcasters and I saw Brittany Broski was talking about this she was on a podcast she's like women just get canceled so much worse and she didn't finish the thought and when I saw
Starting point is 00:35:14 it I was like oh I know why because women in like influencer world or podcasting world their audiences are women yeah no the people who do canceling are women yeah so if you want to stop just start there yeah so stop yeah yeah we've internalized misogyny and we've spoken about that before why like female cancellations are so much worse because it's the female audiences with their pitchforks so they just like can't let something go yeah no and they're the ones like classic women yeah seriously yeah it's bad you guys not you guys wonderful toasters we love you no They're the ones like writing theses. Like classic women. Yeah. Seriously. Yeah. It's bad, you guys. Not you guys, wonderful toasters.
Starting point is 00:35:48 We love you. No. No, no, no. Literally, you're not the problem. Yeah. All's that to say, support your local influencer. Yeah. I wanted to say that.
Starting point is 00:35:58 And yeah. Thank you. Thank you for that. And end of rant. Okay. I think it's time to move on to our next story. Which is now one of you and I's favorite subject. What?
Starting point is 00:36:11 Titanic. Oh, yeah. Oh, I need to also add to my list. Oh, my God. Shit. Like, can we just let that list rest? Like, at first it was funny, and now it's, like, getting a little out of hand. Like, yes, we know.
Starting point is 00:36:23 Turdy doesn't listen. Turdy is, like, the worst. We should out of hand. Like yes, we know. Turdy doesn't listen. Turdy is like the worst. We should kill Turdy. Like I get it. Okay. No, Turdy got me a butter dish. I need to find out from Shannon where this ring is from just so I can. I need to get some more to like dress up my aura ring.
Starting point is 00:36:40 I need to get ornamental rings as well. I'll find out where it's from So we can get ornamental rings I feel like we have A lot of great sponsors Mejuri We do Mejuri That's actually a really good
Starting point is 00:36:53 Yeah It's not a transition For today but yes No it's not And I have some Mejuri rings But they're like a little Snug at the moment So I just
Starting point is 00:37:00 I need some new ones Also ring concierge Yeah we do have a lot Of good ring Yeah yeah yeah Really in earth Yeah Our next story About the Titanic Is the Titanic the movie I just need some new ones. Also ring concierge. Yeah, we do have a lot of good ring. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Clearly in Earth. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:08 Our next story about the Titanic is the Titanic the movie, based on Titanic the ship. Kate Winslet and James Cameron address a rumor that they had a rift after Titanic the movie. I hadn't heard this. Yeah, so Kate Winslet and James Cameron are shutting down speculation that they feuded after filming Titanic. He said there was never a rift between us
Starting point is 00:37:24 in a variety profile on Kate Winslet that was published on Wednesday. He said she had a little postpartum depression when she let go of the character of Rose. She and I have talked about the fact that she goes really, really deep and her characters leave a lasting, sometimes dramatic impression on her.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Winslet, for her part, said, there's a part of me that feels almost sad that that stupid speculative titanic stuff at the time overshadowed the actual relationship i have with him however as page six notes page six notes it wasn't that speculative she told the la times in april 1997 eight months before the movie hit theaters that one quote would have to pay her a lot of money to work with jim again she told the same out with the following month that Cameron has a temper like you wouldn't believe. As it was, the actors got off lightly.
Starting point is 00:38:10 I think Jim knew he couldn't shout at us the way he did to his crew because our performances would be no good. She went on to characterize him to the LA Times as a really tough nut to crack as there were times she was genuinely frightened of him. However, she confessed at the time that she eventually did come to understand him now she will be back in James Cameron's next installment of Avatar and he knows she will yeah he said she said he knows I will be up for anything any challenge any piece of direction you give me I'll try it okay interessant because I'm also watching Entourage right now and James Cameron is like a huge part of Entourage because he directs Aquaman and he plays himself in the show for like over many seasons. And he, I always find like people
Starting point is 00:38:50 who play themselves in Entourage and like are able to poke fun at themselves are like not that serious. Like so many people in LA are like so worried about like what people, I actually, I often find like going on Entourage was really good, at least for me, for like what I thought about you,
Starting point is 00:39:03 like what your image was. And he seemed very down to earth. I imagine he's very serious about his craft and he probably is a little nuts you don't get to be James Cameron like without that um but I'm confused like him outing her postpartum depression in this article like well that's my question I feel like I mean I need to look when she had a baby but I feel like he was saying like she had postpartum about the movie being over. Do you know what I mean? I don't think she had just had a child.
Starting point is 00:39:30 I think it was like she birthed, it was a metaphor. She birthed this character. Okay, that's a really misleading metaphor, but I think you're right. Okay, here. She has two children. One was born in 2003, so that's not 1997. And the other was born in 2003 so that's not 1997 and the other was born in oh and the other was just cast in she's in the buccaneers yeah yeah and I watched that show you should
Starting point is 00:39:53 watch that show the other was born in 2000 so again yeah not actual postpartum depression just like the birth of the movie and then she was depressed after because she gets really into her characters okay okay that's like a really like a really, for somebody whose job is to visualize and that was like a really bad analogy. I just want to say, maybe if you read the whole interview, which I didn't, you didn't, like maybe he talks earlier about how for her
Starting point is 00:40:18 being in a movie is like having a baby. Got it, okay. You know what I mean? He laid the groundwork. Perhaps, perhaps. Yeah, but it is like a little, an interesting term to to use but I guess I would say better like a hangover is a better term movie hangover I would like a little bit more information like yeah it's not a rumored feud it's not like this was just a rumor that was in page six and people just
Starting point is 00:40:39 remembered forever like you said stuff yeah which by the way she's valid in saying I'm sure he is like a little especially Titanic was like this huge undertaking for him like I'm sure he was you know going through a lot maybe it was an animal and like annoying to work with I don't understand how we go from that to this I mean it's been 20 years I feel like sometimes you get off on the wrong foot with someone you don't understand them like I feel like we see that on TV a lot where like two people you feel like they'll never like get along and then a few years later like they come together they actually become really good friends.
Starting point is 00:41:12 Like I feel like that could have been what happened here. So the only part about this that's like a little bothersome it's like don't act like we're crazy because you said those things. Yeah. But I'm glad that they're working together once again. Me too. that's beautiful every night in my dreams oh my god Celine Dion's documentary very highly anticipated documentary comes out next week I'm gonna see it on Monday me and Brian are going to a screening um I'm really really intrigued like I'm looking forward to it.
Starting point is 00:41:45 I haven't looked forward to this, to a celebrity documentary this much probably since Gaga 5'2". I feel you. Also, not to, you know, make it about the man, but I'm sure you're going to get a lot of David Foster. No, even though it's not, it's not a documentary on, like, her...
Starting point is 00:42:01 Life? Story? Life, no. It's her documentary on the last couple of years of her life where she's like been diagnosed with this very rare confusing shaken person syndrome. Stiff person syndrome. Excuse me. Yes. So I don't know if it starts like at her birth or if it starts from the last five years.
Starting point is 00:42:17 I'm not sure. But I know the focus is on what she's been dealing with. Like having to cancel her tour. Oh. That's really sad. So no Eurovision. I don't know. Okay. Well let us know how it is please and not you going to a so excited like humble bag yeah casual is there a carpet i don't know i'm brian like was invited he's like we're going i was like of course yeah courage don't you dare fail me now that's a pretty one too you'll have to let us lay people
Starting point is 00:42:48 know how the screening is well Celine was interviewed by Hoda and Celine Hoda asked an amazing question like she said Celine what Celine Dion song right now like has that kind of defines what you're going through for now and she as Dion song for now. And she, as she of course started singing it. Courage, I need you here to take away the doubt. I'm standing on the edge of something new. You're all I've got to hold on to. Courage, don't you dare fail me now. Oh, I have chills. That song is so good.'m not i'm not like you know a deep follower of her recent music like her new music of course i know the catalog from the last 20 years but that song courage and also her newer song. Yeah. I got my own set of scars to hide. So good.
Starting point is 00:43:49 All right, ready for our next story? Another goat. Yes, yes I am. Tom Brady is getting a statue at Gillette Stadium, a 12-foot bronze piece. So Tom Brady's getting a statue at Gillette Stadium. Robert Kraft announced on Wednesday night the Patriots are erecting a 12-foot bronze sculpture of the ex-quarterback this season the
Starting point is 00:44:08 New England honcho revealed the big news at Brady's Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Foxborough when he told a packed house the former signal caller will be the first player in franchise history to receive the honor Kraft also said Brady's number 12 jersey will be retired the first Patriot since Bruce Armstrong in 2001 to garner that accolade. Brady, who attended the event, teared up as his former boss made the announcements. Like, nobody loves anyone more than Tom Brady loves Robert Kraft.
Starting point is 00:44:34 And they serve him. He loves Robert Kraft more than he loves his own family, like, for real. Now, so fabulous, he's getting a bronze statue, very cool. But I did ask Jackie to talk about this story because I saw something on TikTok this morning that I think you'll find very interesting because they had this big event last night at the stadium. All of, you know, Tom Brady's homies were there.
Starting point is 00:44:54 Julian Edelman, Gronk, Danny Amendola. And do you know who Danny Amendola's date was? Somebody like panned and saw them together sitting with Gronk and Camille. Who? Zandra from TikTok now I've been wanting to talk about Zandra for a while because I've been sort of I'm a commentator on culture right I think I said that earlier in the show and I think we were talking about for those who don't know like I'm a place for the dolphins nowins now, right? Oh my God, does he? So like Braxton and Alex and Danny and Zandra. So Zandra was this University of Miami student
Starting point is 00:45:30 who kind of came up with Alex Earl. Now she's not as big as Alex Earl, but they were... That's how... No? So they haven't been friends
Starting point is 00:45:38 for like two years. But... And so when they graduated Is their rise like totally parallel to one another? No, no, no. They were like in the same friend group at University of Miami.
Starting point is 00:45:46 Yeah. And they both like Zandra like went viral for like doing makeup and being a DJ. Alex went viral for doing makeup and just like being a girl and socialite. Did it just happen that they were friends? It wasn't like people knew Zandra from Alex's stuff? They did. They did. Like it was collaborative.
Starting point is 00:46:01 It's like Kylie and Stassi, baby. Sure, sure, sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And so when they graduated college, like literally the last time these two were ever seen together like I know far too much about this was they took this trip like graduation trip with all of their friends and when they got back from the trip the two have never been spotted together like ever again and a lot of people like wonder what happened and the general consensus on the internet is that like Xandra was a mean girl and like Alec like that's just and neither of them have ever spoken about what went down they just sort of like live these
Starting point is 00:46:28 different lives they both live in Miami they sometimes like you know are at the same events but no like completely separate and the internet totally sided with Alex the the I don't know how everyone came to this conclusion but it's like Zandra was a mean girl and Alex is like this you know untouchable queen and like everybody's like stands Alex and like I actually feel bad for Zandra because like imagine like you know every you like whatever happened like you lose a friend and everybody sides with the other girl and the other girl is like has everything every opportunity like is the biggest star in the world so then most recently we were talking actually when we were kind of clowning on Sports Illustrated I remember saying because I saw this
Starting point is 00:47:06 picture of Zandra she went to the party and she was wearing this dress with just like that had like starfishes on her boobs she looked so sick and I was like I think I actually said to me because every oh did I after all the sports illustrated stuff like then all the images from the parties were coming out and also spreads within the magazine and we just kept sending stuff to each other. Like this person should have been on the cover. This person should have been on the cover. And I said,
Starting point is 00:47:28 I'm like Xandra, honestly, like she, her body wise, she's a modern Kate Upton, like these huge curves and these beautiful breasts, like not to be so weird, but like her body is so feminine and so beautiful.
Starting point is 00:47:40 And it's not like, you know, fashion week model. It's like curvy and it's real. And when she wore that starfish dress to the Sports Illustrated, I was like, this is who they should have put their whole, you know, brand behind. Like how they did with Kate Upton and how they did with Hannah Jeter. This should have been their girl because she's, you know, she's a million followers on TikTok and in certain corners of the internet she's really famous. But in the culture,
Starting point is 00:48:01 she's still relatively unknown. And I think that that could have been like major for them, whatever. And then like, I don't know if you saw this, but a couple of weeks later, Sports Illustrated announced their first ever digital magazine and their first cover for the digital magazine was Alex Earl. So it was like this thing that Zandra, I like actually felt bad for Zandra. I was like, she had this one thing and it was actually perfect. Like, you know, Alex can do everything. She's fashion. She's this, she's that, she's Hollywood. But honestly, Alexandra really is so sports illustrated. And you know what?
Starting point is 00:48:30 I was like, you know what? It says that they're letting her have this one thing. And then like Alex, of course does it and does it bigger and better. And she has her own cover and her own, this and her own spread. And I was like, oh my God, this girl can't catch a break. Yeah. But, or Alex should have been on the main cover this year. Like that would have been an obvious choice for them. They wouldn't have to do any like, you know, discovery. Yeah. She should have been on the main cover this year. Like that would have been an obvious choice for them. They wouldn't have to do any like, you know, discovery.
Starting point is 00:48:48 Yeah. She should have been on the cover. That's another one. A thousand percent. Another one. So now I, and it sucks. Like you can't talk about one of these girls without talking about the other. And they both should stand on their own.
Starting point is 00:49:00 Oh, wait. So like this whole time I thought it was like Danny like Alex and Braxton setting up Danny And no No it's like they because they both live in Miami And they both probably like football players and there's One team Yeah So that's awkward
Starting point is 00:49:17 These two can't quit each other I wonder what happened between them and if It is where does he play Maybe he doesn't play on the Dolphins I wonder what happened between them and if it is. Where does he play? Maybe he doesn't play on the Dolphins. But like I know I didn't just pull that out of my ass. I thought he was like retired. Yeah. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:49:39 He's on the Chiefs. He's on the Chiefs. Well, no. Now this article says he's Houston Texans. Okay. I thought that was a baseball team. Chiefs. He's on the Chiefs? Well, no. Now this article says he's Houston Texans. Okay. I thought that was a baseball team. I don't think he was ever on the Texas Tex Raiders.
Starting point is 00:49:52 That was his college team. Okay. I don't think he was ever on the Dolphins. Like, why did I think that? No. I think he's retired. Okay. So. Oh, he retired two years ago.
Starting point is 00:50:07 Okay. I'm so glad we got to that. And he was on on the Dolphins there are pictures of him in Dolphins jersey great he was signed by the Cowboys oh in 2008 yeah he's also famously Olivia Coppola's ex-man and he like kind of was like a little crazy um in their breakup I remember like there's something about a watch and he like cheated on her yeah but then he also like posted something fucking nuts on social media about a watch yeah um having said that I'm so happy for Zandra like I Zandra's such the underdog here like imagine your ex-best friend is Alex Earl like it's almost not even fair like she's and everybody loves her Alex Earl is just like such a nice girl. She's such a popular girl.
Starting point is 00:50:47 She's so famous. She's the it girl. Not even of the moment. Because like the moment was two years ago. Now she's just like a permanent it girl status. Like I do. I feel sometimes for Zandra. Like it's, it must be hard.
Starting point is 00:50:58 Not hard. I mean she's like incredibly like beautiful and young and hot. I just want to say she's 23 and he's 38. Which is what I want to say yeah um you know me I'm like very against that but I'm like a champion of Zandra so I'm okay with that and do you think her frontal lobe is developed I don't know I think when you grow up in the spotlight you do sort of grow your frontal lobe is on is on a different track than us normies yeah and where is she from originally? I think she's definitely from the tri-state area, right? Midwest.
Starting point is 00:51:32 Midwest. Midwest. I got that wrong too. So yeah, I just wanted to bring that up. You know, to keep our audience abreast on what's going on on TikTok. And are you positive that Zandra was dating Danny Amendola? Are you looking for a news story about it? Because I was looking
Starting point is 00:51:48 for one too and I couldn't find anything. Because in May 2024 another Chiefs player she stirred up dating buzz with Chiefs player Luis Reis Zamet. And I remembered
Starting point is 00:51:58 when that was happening because I was happy for her again. I was like good maybe she can be friends with Taylor Swift. Like let you know Zandra have a moment.
Starting point is 00:52:03 Yeah. Can we have a moment for Zandra? And then that turned out, I think, to be nothing. And I couldn't find any news stories this morning, but I saw a TikTok. I forget whose Instagram story it was. One of the players just, like, took a video of his table.
Starting point is 00:52:14 And sitting right there, it's Gronk, Camille, Zandra, Danny Amendola. Like, double date. Okay, cute. No, I'm here for it. Yeah. Maybe Camille set them up. Maybe this was their first time meeting. Because here's a picture maybe Camille set them up maybe this was their first time meeting
Starting point is 00:52:26 because here's a picture of Camille and Zandra why would Zandra be at this event if not as someone's date because Camille's setting up her friends no no but like if you were if Camille was setting up her friends it wouldn't be at like this seated dinner like event she'd be like oh gronk let's go for drinks invite danny maybe that okay maybe that part already happened like maybe this is like yeah but maybe that's how they meant not through the dolphins dolphins org yeah not through the dolphins jackie he doesn't play right right right okay well great thank you for that i i think like i would like these two to be you know happy together same I wish for happiness for everyone me too of course yeah immensely immensely are you ready for our next story some people that are not being peaceful
Starting point is 00:53:15 right now oh is it our next story that's brought to you by Taylor Farms specifically the new veg trays from Taylor Farms my whole life I am brought to you by Taylor Farms as a person. So as you guys know, Taylor Farms is a brand, Jackie, and I really admire and respect here. Their pre-made salads are so fabulous. We've been kind of running on them for the last couple of months. And now, the other day, I only just discovered these vegetable trays, these sort of charcuterie pre-sliced goodness.
Starting point is 00:53:44 Crudités. No, it's not charcuterie. There's no meat. There's no cheese. Oh my God. I can never remember those two words. To me, they're the same. Every time I order a charcuterie board,
Starting point is 00:53:52 I'm like, why is there meat on this? Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, crudite. They're like, oh, so you wanted a cheese board. Skip the prep. Serve the Taylor Farms convenient veggie trays filled with fresh, cleaned vegetables. They're pre-cleaned. They're pre-cleaned.
Starting point is 00:54:05 They're pre-sliced. Like you literally have to do nothing. It also has this seal that you can rip off if you're like serving it for a party. But if it's just a party of one, you could put the seal back on. It's like, it's really, they've thought of everything. Perfect for potlucks, family picnics, any event where you want to bring a healthier option or you just don't want to cook something. Taylor Farms, as you guys know, is a family owned company on a mission to create healthy lives through fresh, delicious food. Their veggie trays have a peel and reseal lid, perfect for all those dads and grads events coming up.
Starting point is 00:54:30 Yeah, we're in that season where you're going to need a crudité platter. Purchase Taylor Farms Veg Trays in the produce department, wherever you'd like to shop. Yeah, that's right. They're available at all major grocery stores. Slay the house down, boots. It's the Veg Trays from Taylor Farms, and you don't want to miss it. Today's episode is also brought to you by Hill House Home. You guys probably know Hill House Home because they invented the viral nap dress, which is the most flattering and comfortable
Starting point is 00:54:51 dress. It has that signature smocking. Well, Hill House is the ultimate destination for dress girls with the perfect dress for the summer season, whether you have weddings, a vacation, or you just need something comfortable to survive the heat in. Hill House Home makes fun fashion that makes you feel good. One thing about Hill House dresses is that they're versatile and they're super easy to wear. You can dress them up with heels and a purse, a couple of necklaces, maybe a statement earring. You can also dress them down with literally a pair of flip-flops if you're taking your kids somewhere or you're running errands to the grocery store. It's a celebrity loved brand. Yeah, that's right. The girlies are wearing Hill House Home. They're wearing it, you
Starting point is 00:55:24 know, Taylor Swift is wearing it. Olivia Rodrigo is wearing it. Not to pit women against women, but they're both wearing it. But a lot of people don't know about their home bedding robes, pajamas. I didn't know. I obviously knew them for their dresses. Let me tell you, the robe that I got from Hill House Home has changed my life. I've never been a robe girl.
Starting point is 00:55:42 When I get home, I'm throwing this robe on. It is so comfortable. It's oversized. It has, you know, a nice belt with loopholes. If you're making a robe without like loopholes, please don't even. And also they have great pajamas that are super cute and you can also get matching sets for the kids in your life. How cute is that? So cute. Did you see me wearing my Hill House pajamas on Instagram this week? I shared a link. I'm generous. I did. You can also get 15% off your order of $100 or more at hillhousehome.com. Our next story, the girls are feuding.
Starting point is 00:56:27 And I just, I would have never, I would never thought these two people would come across my desk, let alone in a fight. But Annalise Vanderpoel is clapping back at JoJo Siwa after calling her out on TikTok. So you probably remember the name Annalise Vanderpoel from That's So Raven. She also. I seriously, I could never forget Annalise Vanderpoel from That's So Raven she also seriously I could never forget Annalise Vanderpoel for a million reasons the impact she had on my childhood was tremendous as Chelsea
Starting point is 00:56:51 on That's So Raven but also once I learned her human name which is Annalise Vanderpoel not Chelsea from That's So Raven I it's a name you just don't forget Annalise Vanderpoel and you don't she's a firsty lasty like I would never call her annalise who am i talking about right annalise vanderpoll is now feuding with jojo siwa and i didn't have that on my 2024 bingo card i don't know who to side with because what jojo said about annalise please read it okay so first it started with annalise posted a TikTok about how Raven's Home was ending after six seasons. You seriously simplified it too much. Annalise Vanderpoel has posted 15 TikToks every day
Starting point is 00:57:37 since she left the new Raven's Home. Raven's Home is the spinoff of That's So Raven. So she was on the spinoff and then she left and nobody really wondered what happened but she then made seriously i'm not even kidding 100 000 tiktoks since she left alluding to something happening being like i can't tell you because i have an nda they come across my free page all the time they're infuriating like if something happened i probably wouldn't even care the amount that she's like hyping it up like everybody wants to know nobody really cares actually Annalise it's infuriating
Starting point is 00:58:10 her her content seriously I need to block her it's some of the worst most piece of shit content on the planet because she's just hyping up this thing she's never gonna tell us and it was this thing we didn't really care about in the beginning yeah so so it wasn't just one tiktok like when Jojo Siwa said what she said she did speak for a lot of us I'm not gonna lie Jojo Siwa commented on her post on Annalise's post like celebrating you know Raven's home being ending she said Jojo said six seasons and now a spinoff I think they're doing just fine also look at your account. Your highest views come from talking about the show slash Raven as well. Yeah, like JoJo didn't stutter, honestly. And she kind of said what a lot of us have been thinking.
Starting point is 00:58:53 But why was it JoJo who said it? I have no fucking idea. What is the relationship between JoJo and Raven? Like I feel like they must be friends because this is how you defend a friend. I mean, JoJo was a Nickelodeon. She had, like, a show on Nickelodeon. She had this partnership with Nickelodeon. I don't know what her relationship with Raven is. To be honest, like, I really don't give a fuck. This, like, JoJo Siwa versus Annalise Vanderpoel, like, is the definition of loser on loser crime. I really can't be bothered to care that much,
Starting point is 00:59:22 although I do want to say, like, you know, JoJo Slade, like, she Jojo Slade like she did like thank you somebody needed to say that Annalise responded she used the audio that says I was in rehab at like 15 and I feel like this was not my biggest issue and she said when Jojo see what trolls you on TikTok and then she said like I was a child actor at 15 like this is not my biggest issue yeah um again like two losers but here's the thing I I love loser on loser crime because like it's to me it's like a victimless crime yeah it's a very low stakes competition and it's like a double negative like when it's two losers like it they cancel each other out and it's like cool yeah yeah yeah you know we're so back um but I, and I do want to say, because in the context of this argument, yeah, JoJo's right.
Starting point is 01:00:08 But like JoJo Siwa, I don't know what in the world, like a switch went off in her head like six months ago. She was like, I'm just going to be nuts. And I just saw a video of her performing and she like put her hand like in her underwear, like on her vagina and was swigging from a bottle of Tito's. Like she's clearly also going through it
Starting point is 01:00:25 so I don't want to champion either one of them no no I won't champion either one of them they're both like annoying as hell and I just I want to say like I tried to tell you guys about Jojo Siwa like that even when she was like doing the bows and teeny bopping around like she was in her bathtub chain smoking cigarettes Jackie did like have this conspiracy theory. If you were here on the podcast like six years ago, you would know we used to have a running joke that JoJo Siwa chain smoked cigarettes in her bathtub because Jackie was like,
Starting point is 01:00:51 I could just see a world in which she needs to like let go of all this toxic positivity. She needs to literally let her hair down. Her ponytail is so tight. And that's what she does. I, even though I couldn't predict that, that's child's play compared to what she's doing now like JoJo Siwa having a cigarette is nothing oh it's a it's a quiet day for JoJo
Starting point is 01:01:09 it's a Tuesday yeah a Tuesday and she chose nicotine are you ready for our fifth and final story a little fashion news okay collaboration news okay two great brands news okay toast merch is collabing with who chanel.com no javianas and dolce and gabbana are teaming up for a collection of high fashion flip-flops for summer 2024 and before this episode drops i'm going to buy myself a pair because they're about to sell out and this isn't an ad or anything but they're really cute i mean like they're all like the Dolce Prince in Habiana's flip what's the price of like 130 dollars so higher than Habiana that's like a lot for flip-flops yeah but they are a quality flop and you get to say I'm wearing Dolce's
Starting point is 01:01:57 yeah yeah yeah okay collaborations I'm looking now on their website oh yeah they've got the classic leopard or the cutest and they're all sold out The zebra Oh no I think these ones The Coretto Siciliano Are cute too Me too That's what I'm gonna go with But also I like
Starting point is 01:02:12 The blue Mediterraneo Yeah me too Actually the The other ones Kind of look like circusy The zebra Okay I'm not buying You almost got me
Starting point is 01:02:19 But like I don't I don't like zebra print They're like a little silly I like a collab, especially I like a high low collab. Like I really do. What's, we tried to think of it.
Starting point is 01:02:32 Diffusion line. Amy Schumer, diffusion line. I love a diffusion line. Like remember Isabel Morant for Target, Balmain for H&M. Like I love, love,
Starting point is 01:02:40 love things like that. And so this is fabulous. Although just, I need a pair of flip flops, honestly. And so this is fabulous. Although just. I need a pair of flip flops, honestly. I'm getting a pair. Which one should I get, Turdy? Like they're really ugly.
Starting point is 01:02:53 Really? I'm sorry. I was ready to buy with my Apple Pay. These are all ugly. Not the leopard. But the leopard are gone. Seriously, think about leopard flip flops. Like what the hell and where would you be wearing them?
Starting point is 01:03:07 I don't know. Where do you wear flip-flops anyway? I know. I kind of don't even have a need for flip-flops. If I'm going to wear sandals, I really prefer sloths. I need flip-flops sometimes just to go into the backyard. So I guess they don't have to be Dolce. Right. Get just regular $3 Javianas.
Starting point is 01:03:21 Or if we're having a little pool afternoon I could get regular Havianas it's true I don't even wear a lot of prints okay and also like these blue Mediterranean's like I don't wear blue either no and the cute part of the sandals are the sole and your foot covers it yeah you have to look at the strap and so like the Coretta ones it's just like red and white stripes blue I don't wear red and I don wear stripes. I'm sorry to have talked you out of it, but I think it's the right thing to do. Okay, well maybe you guys wear red or stripes or blue. Maybe you have a different color story than me.
Starting point is 01:03:53 But I'm glad we're talking about this because I do want to champion these type of collabs. I don't think they happen frequently enough. And when they do, it's like three pieces are made, they get sewn up, three seconds. And you have to be like waiting outside the store with a tent. Do you remember the fanfare for bomb on xh and like it was so crazy i got nothing i got a couple things they someone sent them to me i mean
Starting point is 01:04:13 do you remember missoni for target like that was seriously i remember where i was one of the original like that really kicked off a generation the the day that they launched that collab like they were being sold for five times the price on eBay. I actually wonder if like any of that is currently being sold on eBay. It was really cute. Hold on. Missoni for Target. That was so iconic.
Starting point is 01:04:34 Yeah. No, and the shit was so cute. Oh my God. They kind of sell some of those things. They're selling them on here, Etsy. $75 for like a really cute. Not fake, but you know, artisan made. Like someone's making it.
Starting point is 01:04:49 Right? Isn't that what Etsy is? Yeah, no. I think eBay is like where I need to be. Or Poshmark. Yeah. Etsy's not resale. Right, right.
Starting point is 01:05:02 This little cardigan, Missoni. Oh, it's for kids. $20. Oh my my god do you remember the rain boots that they made like seriously everyone and their mothers it was like the hunger games yeah it was no these leopard ones are really cute we need to bring that back oh they have some of it on thread up and yeah ebay they made this like cardigan that everyone was like creaming their pants for those were the days man those were the days yeah simple joys pair flip-flops wind in your hair
Starting point is 01:05:32 for a normal price yeah okay well cool cool good on the marketing teams glad you guys could get together yeah yeah i love that i love this sort of ingenuity. I'm glad the idea made it off the slack, you know? And I'm glad to have spent the last hour and change with you. Hour and change? There's nobody in the world I'd rather. An acting change. An acting change in an hour and change.
