Starting point is 00:00:09 It's Jackson, Claude and favorite show, the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off, swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Thursday. I hope everybody's having a beautiful start to the end of the week. Hey, Jacqueline Filet. How are you? I am good, Turtaleau. And?
Starting point is 00:00:36 Jurdaloo. How are you? Well, in the words of the principle from Mean Girls, my carpal tunnel's back. And let me tell you, I only get carpal tunnel when I'm pregnant. I got a very light the first time. I just remember like tingly feelings. Let me tell you the shit is fucking hell. You guys see me.
Starting point is 00:00:51 You see like a model. Beautiful girl. You have no idea what's going on. Yeah. And I also have wet hair today. I don't know if I've ever in the history of the show done the toast with wet hair. But Jackie and I are going to go to a photo shoot. We're modeling today.
Starting point is 00:01:03 And like it's not just like we're models on a shoot. Like it's our shoot. It's like a whole big affair. We're going to be on a shoot all day. Hair makeup. I showered this morning and I was like I'm getting a blowout in one hour. I'm not doing my hair. So I guess we're wet dog in it at the toast.
Starting point is 00:01:16 You could have done an up to you. I was wearing my hair in a claw clip, like a nice, like. And then I saw the monitor here. And I just looked bald. And I am that meme, like what you think you look like in a slick black versus what you actually look like. I look like Jacob from Twilight, not Kendall Jenner. The good thing is, though, you have like beautiful natural hair.
Starting point is 00:01:35 Like you coming on here with a wet head is not brave whatsoever. No, I didn't think it was brave. And I wasn't looking for attention. Better than most people on their best day. Wait, sorry, I've been meaning to ask you something. Uh-huh. Will you sign my cast? Of course.
Starting point is 00:01:46 We have a Sharpie in the building. I don't know why we would. We have a Sharpie? I don't know why we wouldn't. Yeah, what are you going to write? Like, don't write something mean. And you're pretty much the old... I see you.
Starting point is 00:01:58 You're plotting. Oh, before you asked, I was just going to write, like, Jackie. You are the probably only person who's going to sign this. I think I'll write... There's a Sharpie? Oh, silver. Perfect. I think I'll write, put your phone down.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Jackie thinks I have carpal tunnel because I'm on my phone too much, which couldn't be further from the truth. I'm such a present person. It's common in pregnancy. Like, I don't know what you want me to tell you. I think it's common in pregnancy, obviously, like your bones are going through it, but also you're on your phone more in pregnancy
Starting point is 00:02:22 with your bones going through it thus. Don't put that on my cast. Don't put that on my cast. Don't put that negativity. Like, for real, I'll get a new cast. I actually have two. I bought two. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:33 I'll write an uplifting message. This was like my fucking dream. I'll write an uplifting message of positive. I never broke any bones in like my adulthood, young adulthood, but all I wanted to was break up shine on turdy I love that a little autograph of course shine on turdy shine on I love that that beautiful very empowering actually it's very beautiful and it's like subtle you know I never broke any bones or anything like in middle school but for some
Starting point is 00:03:04 reason it was like my dream yeah I think everyone to like have a cast and be like asked about it so I'm obviously I'm walking into the room splint first because all people do oh my gosh God, even when I walked in this morning, everyone was like, what happened to your hand? What does this mean for the shoot? I can take it off for the shoot, but honestly, that's it. And then back on, right? I don't think it would be good for, you know, the project we're launching for me to be there in a splint. Like, I barely look good as it is with my pale skin and my big belly.
Starting point is 00:03:29 Like, I'm not bringing a splint into the equation. But just know, like, I'm really suffering. And shout out to my carpal tunnel girl. It's like, people have carpal tunnel not pregnant. Yeah. That's insane. Well, they could take in the ad fill. I was saying to Ben last night.
Starting point is 00:03:42 What I would do to like crush up and snort in Advil, you guys, I needed it desperately. I love Advil. That's, you know, every pregnancy, again, I've only had two. Every time there's like one thing you really miss, it's Advil this time. I'm having so many things that's just like pop an advil. Yeah. I love an Addy, as the kids call it. As they don't call it.
Starting point is 00:04:02 Today is Thursday, which doesn't mean much for the show. That's exciting. It gives us room to sort of freely create. Which we've got stories. we love to do. We do have stories. We have these new iPad cases. Just because now that we're nominated to be nominated for a Golden Globe.
Starting point is 00:04:19 We have to elevate. Everything is sort of leveling up around here. And shout out to one of our listeners, Lauren Elizabeth, for saying. Our loyal listener. She was like, if you don't pick those fucking iPads up, I guess in our current setup, like our iPads lying flat, like you can literally see the things we're reading. And she's like, it's really distracting and ugly. So yeah, we got acrylic stands.
Starting point is 00:04:36 And that's just something that I think the Golden Globes would appreciate. That level of detail and that level of. of creativity is definitely what they're looking for. And I think part of the reason why we were included on the list of potential nominees to be nominated. But we were included for last year. So these acrylic stands don't count towards this year. And isn't that amazing that we were able to get on the list without such an important, crucial sort of shining moment for us? And if we don't get off the nominated to be nominated list onto the nominated, maybe next year we will now that we have these stamps. Maybe that's what was missing getting us there. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:05:10 Just another day Being nominated Just another day When do the Golden Globe nominations come out? Oh, because you know I was thinking This morning
Starting point is 00:05:18 We have to have a countdown to the day Not only that Like you know how everybody films themselves When they think they like might be nominated Like we need to bring a camera crew Because if we don't get nominated It will be hilarious And if we do like we need that
Starting point is 00:05:29 It's January 2nd But it's also at like the crack of dawn We'll have to wake up early That's good No no no We should get here No no no we'll get together No we have a TV like
Starting point is 00:05:37 It's January 2nd though Oh sorry We're off vacation. We're off, I think, until, like, all all have to wake up early and, like, go to your house. Yeah. And don't look at your phone because you know, like, our public says, we'll text up.
Starting point is 00:05:48 No, no, no. We're watching it live, Jackie. Oh, we're watching it. Well, it happens in L.A. I think. It's on Saturday. That's weird. What is that?
Starting point is 00:05:54 Like, 9 a.m.? Well, we'll be watching. Which is good because it gives us, like, a lot of time to really talk about this. Also, like, to get over it. No, because if it doesn't happen, like, then the fun is over. It's so true. So, honestly, the later, the better. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:06:13 What else can I tell you? Sort of like nothing else, you know? It's all that there is. No, and we have this photo shoot today and like... Jackie and I were discussing, you know, we often talk about our careers at a glance. And I feel like we're very self-aware and we're actually very self-critical too.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Of, you know, why aren't we? There. Right. And the reason why Jackie and I, we've realized actually this morning, the reason why we will never be like at the level like that Alex Earl is at. It's because the amount of photoshoots that are required of you at that level is too much.
Starting point is 00:06:42 We have a photo shoot this week and one next week. And when I tell you, it's ruined my entire month. It's ruined. And we haven't done a photo shoot. Years. In a year. And it's the worst day. Like, I don't know if other creators and models.
Starting point is 00:06:55 I think they love it. I dread. And that's what's, we're standing in our own way. Like the fact that this has been like a life ruining. No, we knew this day was going to come like for the last couple of months. And it's ruined my life since I found out. And the thing is like if things go well. with our business.
Starting point is 00:07:08 We'll have to do more. We'll have to do more photos shoots. And I feel like that's where for me, I see the most potential in AI because I cannot, I don't know, obviously like the whole, the insecurity element of it is huge. Like when I'm happy with myself, which is very rare, obviously it's a little bit easier. It's better. But it's still, it's not work I personally enjoy doing at all. And I feel that now I kind of realize, like that's what's stopping us from reaching our
Starting point is 00:07:32 greatest potential. Yeah. And other creators have like so many photo shoots in their arsenal. You know, and like pictures to choose from. And they're just always like posting stuff of professional photos. And like we have like I can recall too. No. And it's like those two were the worst days of my life.
Starting point is 00:07:49 That's why we'll never be successful. Like honestly. As like women in media. Our limitation. Yeah. I draw the line at a photo shoot. It's true. I just can't do it.
Starting point is 00:07:57 It's really true. Even when you do like a really high budget one where there's a million people there to pamper you and get the food. I'm sorry. The bigger the worse. Yeah. Right. The smaller the better.
Starting point is 00:08:05 We're in it out. That's like how Kim has like. her office and her studio and like it's all in house and she like goes and just shoots maybe she also hated photo shoots and that's why she brought them at home like I guess if we had like a photo shoot studio we would still hate it in our house it would be better it would be better of course not like the 40 minutes we have to drive today for our photo shoot like we carpool though because I'm not driving on the highway models on duty today yeah yeah that's why my hair's wet and my carpal ton of flaring up but like the worst possible time.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Like as if today could it be more challenging for me, emotionally and physically. I also have my carpal tunnel. Like you just can't make this shit up. The shit always happens to me, you guys. Yeah. And I want to shout out to our heart of hearing community because I've actually heard from them. They say Claudia in this new studio, like you cover your mouth with the microphone. And if you're reading lips, like it makes it very difficult.
Starting point is 00:08:55 And I'm really struggling to balance between like wanting to be heard by my heart of hearing community and cover my double chin with the microphone. Because like when my mic is like this, just know I feel insecure. When it's down here, it's I'm feeling good. So to the heart of hearing community, if you can't hear me today, it's because my hair is wet, you know? Like I'm already dealing with a lot, the carpal tunnel, the photo show. Put on close captions. Yes, of course.
Starting point is 00:09:15 I'm aware and I'm working on it. I'm trying to do better. Yeah, but like this is a feature, not a bug. You know? The microphone's in our faces. One thousand percent. I love that phrase. I love that phrase.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Say it again. Like, it's a feature, not at a bug. Right, like it's a positive, not an adjective. It's not something that went wrong. It's something that went right. I got to add that. I was hear good phrases and then I have like a hard. I like want to implement them into my life.
Starting point is 00:09:43 I think we have a list. I think you have a list. Because I've been one that I've like really worked on like adapting into my vernacular. And I've used it a couple of times organically is stealing Peter to pay Paul. I love that little like limerick. Yeah. And it's not a feature. No, it's not a bug.
Starting point is 00:09:56 It's a feature. Mm-hmm. I love that. It's good. Yeah. So this. Let me just adjust my microphone. There we go.
Starting point is 00:10:04 Well, let's get into the story, shall be. Oh, sure, sure, sure. We've got some good stuff to talk about today. I'm excited. I do. I feel like I don't even remember. You'll know. You've definitely seen this around the internet. So without further a do-da-do, do it is time for the fast five stories that yet do need to know.
Starting point is 00:10:22 And the fast five stories that you need to know are brought to you by Revolve. Every time the weather starts changing, we suddenly get excited about clothes again. I'm the queen of ordering like literally eight sizes of a dress returning it in two seconds. Robb has the best customer service. So at really all of my like high-end or like clothing that I buy for important affairs really comes from Evolv. It's one of my go-to destinations when I'm doing like a major hall. It feels really curated rather than overwhelming. They're carrying brands that you know, love, and are looking for. They constantly are refreshing with new arrivals.

People are really obsessed with how they were able to pack so much protein and so few calories into a bar while still tasting good.
Starting point is 00:12:15 It is really impressive. The gold bar features an indulgent doughy texture, studded with satisfying chunks and airy crisps. They come in great flavors. It's very personal. Like Ben loves the blueberry ones. And that's just not my thing. I'm more of like a chocolate brownie type of girl, like fudgey. Starting point is 00:12:34 batter and cinnamon roll. It's personal. You know, you choose your favorites. I'm not going to tell you which is the best, but obviously, like, we all have our faves. I know and it's like so learning because there are so many cute and I got like three different ballet flats from Rothies. I don't know if you saw I was like wearing them all summer long. They were so cozy. I was like walking in the city. Yeah. I was walking. No, the point. I was walking in the city like maybe like 20 blocks at a time. and I was so comfortable. It was really, honestly, like, what they're doing over there is magic for the flat-footed community.
Starting point is 00:14:08 They also have the cutest kids. I didn't know they did kids. And I just got, like, six pair of kids shoes. They're so cute. They're so cute, which we love. But Rothies are notoriously easy to put on for adults. And they stay on, which is major key for the children. Discover the point at Rothes.com and learn more about why this timeless shoe is so special.
Starting point is 00:14:25 That's ROTHYS.com. Rothys.com. Today's episode is also brought to you by BetterHelp. Thank you. Better Help for sponsoring today's episode. There are plenty of reasons we put off getting support, and for a lot of people, costs can be one of them. With better help, insurance options may now be available nationwide, with an average co-pay for eligible members of just $23 per session. While we're reconsidering old assumptions, maybe there are a few others worth questioning,
Starting point is 00:14:50 too. So I think as women, you know, we inherit a lot of unwritten rules. We should be ambitious, not intimidating, being there for everyone, but still making time for yourself, of course. You need to have it all together, but not look like you're trying too hard. And obviously, That comes with its fair share of challenges. Everyone feeling like, you know, I'm not doing enough at work. I'm doing too much at work. I'm not doing enough at home. It's just like a lot to deal with.
Starting point is 00:15:09 And I think a lot of people don't feel like they could benefit from talking to someone because, you know, maybe they think that it's just not right for them. Or, you know, you've wanted to give therapy a try and you don't know where to start because you feel overwhelmed by the cost or just like the idea of talking to someone in person. Well, BetterHelp is therapy done entirely online? It's enormously popular because it's so accessible and they have great, like I said, the insurance thing, they have a lot of really good affordable options. and they make it really easy.
Starting point is 00:15:33 So you can talk to a therapist that you get matched with in any medium. You could do chat. You could do video call. You could do regular call. You could do text. It's really adaptable to your needs. And if you get matched with a therapist
Starting point is 00:15:43 and it's not like the right match, you can switch at any time. It's like not a big deal. So if you've been waiting to start therapy, BetterHelp works with more than just, with more than 125 health plan networks. Eligible members have an average copay of $23 per session with insurance.
Starting point is 00:15:55 So if you don't have insurance and you don't live in the United States, you can still get 10% off your first month when you visit betterhelp.com slash toast to explore the payment. options. That's BetterHelp, H-E-L-P-com slash T-O-A-S-T. Now shout-out to Ms. Lauren Elizabeth. Loving my hands-free advertisement. Also good for your carpal tunnel.
Starting point is 00:16:12 Hugely, very, what's opposite of abelist? Abel full. Love that. Able-friendly. Love that. Our first story, Joe Manginello reveals his seven-year battle with the mysterious autoimmune disease that says nearly killed him.
Starting point is 00:16:29 I'm having deja vu. We were in this studio talking about Joe Mangonella's autoimmune disease. Yes, we were talking about his forthcoming memoir called Bloodlines, where he would be talking about the autoimmune disease that he's been battling for the last seven years. And now, like, some excerpts of the book have come out. And it's tea, especially as it relates to Sophia Vargarra. Okay, because I was going to say, like,
Starting point is 00:16:51 I'm looking for things about Sophia Vergara in this book, not necessarily his autoimmune disease. So, like, the big headline is about his disease. So for seven of the last 10 years, he was secretly fighting mysterious autoimmune illness. so virulent and nearly killed him. In his new book, which comes out October 13th, he opens up about recovering from a health battle
Starting point is 00:17:07 that led to major organ amputation and contributed to the end of his seven-year marriage, Shisofia Vargara. He says, I can't believe I'm alive. I feel like I was reborn. He said it started with excruciating abdominal pain that left him unedable to walk. As his digestive tract ulcerated,
Starting point is 00:17:24 along with fevers, blistering, rashes, headaches and fatigue. He even began bleeding from his rectum while still a newlywed. He said, I was getting sicker and sicker. or um he talks a lot about like the medication the surgeries and all of that i know that you are curious about the the rectal bleeding are of it all the rectal bleeding the sophia vergara yeah of course he said as he cycled through hospital searching for answers his illness took a toll on his marriage which he writes had quote become devoid of any emotionality whatsoever he claims in the
Starting point is 00:17:53 book that sophia refused to hug him even when he begged and that she ridiculed him for his five-pound chihuahua named bubbles who was a sickly little pup that he had adopted in 2019 when Mangonella was considering suicide. He said, I had to give my gun away because I kept thinking about it. And then the dog came. I went from being the patient to the caretaker. And I guess she would make fun of the dog. The couple's dream of having a child together had also been dashed.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Sophia would later tell a newspaper that their marriage broke up because her husband was younger and he wanted to have kids and I didn't want to be an old mom. But Joe says he gave up the idea because of his illness. After failed IVF attempts led them to considering egg donors. He said he didn't want to do. die and leave her with a child who wasn't biologically hers. Oh, wow. That's heavy stuff. That is. He said writing this book was his way of correcting the record. He said, there were things said and printed about me that were false. That's so interesting because I feel like,
Starting point is 00:18:45 and somebody who followed the breakup very closely, because this at one point was my biggest celebrity crush. I don't feel like he came out looking like a bad guy at all. I think it's a very reasonable thing when you are dating an older woman who has kids and she's grown and you don't have kids. Like, it's sort of a sticking point. And if you're not willing to change your mind, which you shouldn't if you feel strongly one way or the other. I didn't think that, but he came out looking bad. So he feels like he needs to, like, vindicate himself when, I don't really know what, from what? And I don't know, there are like certain things in a marriage. Like, I just feel like, even in your memoirs should be off limits. Like,
Starting point is 00:19:18 I agree. And it's so easy to like make her look like the bad guy when you're writing. Like, I'm sick and I'm rectal bleeding and she's mean to me. And it's like, well, I'm sure that's not like a hundred percent what it was. And you sort of see. The refusal to hug is giving Carl in the kitchen. Like, can I get a hug? You know, and it's like, it's not the time for a hug. So, no, I'm not refusing to hug you. No, and of course, hearing that Lindsay wouldn't hug Carl, like, oh, Lindsay's mean. That sounds bad. Knowing the context, why the fuck would I hug you? You just, like, hash it out and now you're trying to, like, I don't want to hug.
Starting point is 00:19:45 And you were just so annoying back then, like, stop. So there are, I just citing that to show that there are instances where a hug is not appropriate. No, and like, refusing to give a hug doesn't make you the bad guy immediately. All the time. Yeah, like, there are instances where it's like you shouldn't have asked. Get your hug out of here. Yeah. So I feel like when you, and I feel like they had a real marriage,
Starting point is 00:20:05 like even though it ended poorly or whatever, I feel like it was, I think that like you do sort of owe your partner privacy. And this kind of like makes me not like him. That's crazy. But when I do think back to like what the prevailing narrative was from like the end of their relationship, he did go on to date someone younger.
Starting point is 00:20:21 And it did seem like, oh, if he wants kids, he can't have them with her. She doesn't want kids. So they're going to split up. But that's like, you know, natural. That's a very normal. That's a very normal.
Starting point is 00:20:29 normal reason to break up with someone. That's not bad or good. Right. But he's saying that's not it at all. That he moved on from having kids in their marriage. Because of his own health issues. Because of his health issues. And they were using an egg donor. And if they had a child together, it wouldn't be biologically hers. And he fell out if he died. Right. So why is the reason they broke up? He doesn't say that.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Because there was no emotionality. Oh, right. Because she wouldn't hug him. And that's another, like, she's a jokester. One thing about Sophia Vargari, she's going to make a joke. She's got that very Latin sense of humor. joke about everything. And like, she gets away with it because she's so funny. But, like, she definitely makes offensive jokes. And I could see her doing that even more so in private about the dog.
Starting point is 00:21:07 Like, yeah, I just feel like, I don't know, all of this seems like really low-hanging fruit to make people dislike Sophia Vergara. Like, she wouldn't hug me and she made fun of the dog. And it's like, I'm kind of, I'm looking deeper. I'm not, I'm not believing everything Joe Manchinella is telling me about the marriage. Maybe, like, there's more in the memoirs where it's like, okay, that was like the worst point. And then, you know, it gets better.
Starting point is 00:21:26 And we have, we're copacetic and she's a great. woman, but like that's some of the tea of like what went wrong between them. Yeah. And then I think also like, I need to be like very careful about how I say this. I think also when you bring up like your experience with like suicidal thoughts and like ideology to like make someone look bad, ideation. Thank you not ideology. When you bring it up like to make someone look bad or like I don't know, I don't like that. Like she was making fun of the dog.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Not because the dog saved you from suicide. I'd like. It's probably like a barking little rat. Of course. And it's like I just feel like it's kind of a manipulative way to talk because he did go through that and that's valid and we can talk about that. But to bring it up in the, that was before he even knew Sophia Vergara. So like to bring it up in the context of the dog and Sophia Vergara is like kind of
Starting point is 00:22:15 manipulative. I would agree with that because there's nothing you can say. It's a conversation under and it's like, of course this dog saved her life, which it undoubtedly did. And we should be giving the dog like, you know, all the kindness in the world. But that doesn't mean when the dog piece on the curtains that we can't make a joke about the dog. Yeah, it feels, and perhaps he goes into more detail on it that's like makes it look better in the book, but like just this excerpt, it's like, it's just like you threw it in there
Starting point is 00:22:38 to make her look even worse. Yes, but the crux of the book is really about his body failing. Everything he went through in the last seven years, his desperate search to find a cure and also to find a diagnosis. Right, right. Because it sounds like he really went through it. But it sounds like the part about Sophia Vergara he's using for publicity, which I I don't like either because like that's the big excerpt, you know? It's like a book all about his chronic illness, but the excerpt he chooses to lead the press with is the one about Sophia Vergara. That's what the press wants.
Starting point is 00:23:06 That's just the beast. I'm just saying. That's just the beast. I'm just saying like, yeah. I mean like kind of turning on my celebrity crush. Yeah. I don't know how my like current celebrity crush is.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Oh, sorry, it's Belmont Camelie. Oh, that's good. And you know who's kind of like coming back into my heart? We've had like sort of a complicated relationship. He's been. John Mayer. No, he's out. Like, only because it's not to be like so mean.
Starting point is 00:23:24 But I just don't longer find him attractive. Like when I see videos of him singing from like when he was in his 20s, like, yeah, that's my boyfriend. But now like kind of looks like a bobblehead. Like I'm good. No, you know who's come back into my life in like in a real major way? And he almost never left, but like, I don't know, my opinions on him sort of like fluctuated over the years. Ew. He's like literally my original boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Joe Jonas. Yeah. That's good. Let me tell you, he was in my dream last night. Like he is so hot. And I know that's not like a relevatory statement like everyone knows. That's good because you were. I was like off the Jonas brothers and him in particular.
Starting point is 00:23:54 for a while because he did unfollow me on Instagram. Like I just think I don't come up with these things for no reason. Like you get on my list for a reason. Joe Jonas was the first celebrity to follow me on Instagram. And when I tell you, nothing in the world meant more to me. Nothing in the world meant more to me that Joe Jonas followed me on Instagram. And nothing hurt more than when he unfollowed. Especially because it wasn't like we had this, we had no relationship.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Like we DM'd when he was doing DNCE, like he invited me to this little private concert. Like we wouldn't say we were friends, of course. But like we were colleagues. And he unfollowed me. And I don't even know when it happened. And I realized like months later, I didn't check. I just got so comfortable knowing that have the unfollow app. No, I didn't.
Starting point is 00:24:30 And it was really. You got so comfortable. I did. You took it for granted. And so I think it took me like years honestly to get over it. Maybe. And of course, when Harry Styles follows you, I should check if he still does. Like, my content is so like mama.
Starting point is 00:24:42 You don't want to know. My content is so. Last time you checked, he did. Oh, have I done this before? Yeah. My content is so different than like the girl he followed. I wouldn't even, why would he be following a mama? Like, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:24:53 Well, he is. He likes. He likes to move like a mama. There I am. He likes to move like a new mama doing press from home. Yeah, he does. He finds his force of inspiration. I was going to say, maybe my life's hell is inspiring to him.
Starting point is 00:25:05 Yeah. All right, at least we'll have that. And, like, Joe Jonas never followed me back on Instagram. But you know what? Like, I can be unbiased enough to say, like, when I see videos of him singing. I'm like, that's my fucking king right there. He's so handsome. And he's so talented.
Starting point is 00:25:18 And I love them. I do. I'm back on the Jonas Brothers. I love it. Yeah. Hey, Jonas. I'm holding space, you know? things can change and i think it's like a golden globe nominated nominee um i should be supporting
Starting point is 00:25:30 like all fellow podcasters because that's what they want you know the creative arts like not the ones that aren't on the list oh and hey jonas isn't on the list they will be soon they're doing like list supremacists even though you don't know half of them on the list but they're all beautiful in their own way and i truly would be happy for any of them we should throw a party like for everyone on the list yeah they'll be like who are these girls like what list Like, have you heard anyone else on the list Like even knows that the list He's talking about it, cares about it
Starting point is 00:25:59 Absolutely But it might also be because like They get this stuff all the time Some of them Like yeah smart lists They've all been nominated for like Oscars too Because they're like actors But I think like probably Jason and Travis are like excited about this
Starting point is 00:26:12 No they get he won a Super Bowl And they get stuff all the time And they have a hundred million dollars A hundred million dollar Amazon deal Like Taylor gets every award Sorry it's not as big of a deal to them You think like There were a couple like new names
Starting point is 00:26:24 on there that maybe they get really excited. I don't know if you get excited, like you're not getting nominated, do you know what I mean? That's how we have to keep it in our pants a little bit. I seriously can't. I'm not even going to try. Yeah. And I also just feel like it's about this moment.
Starting point is 00:26:38 You know, it's not even about the nomination. It's about what the nomination represents. It's about the fact that we were nominated to be nominated. Exactly. Are you ready for our next story, which I'm becoming obsessed with? And I'm actually rather shook because the beef between Dave Portnoy and Bailey Taylor has has intensified. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:26:51 And you know what? I watched this whole saga. And I was really shook. I was really floored. We could go back and forth about who invented what. I'm glad we discussed it last week. So you all have the brief. Bailey from Summerhouse.
Starting point is 00:27:04 It Girl versus It Girl. Bailey from Summerhouse had started this series before she was on Summerhouse called It Girl. Years ago, she said the barstool account called It Girl was copying her. As we've said, that's just like a pretty generic phrase. And as Dave said in his video yesterday, like Bailey Taylor was a nobody. He actually said that's an insult to nobodies. He was really mad. And he was like, how can we copy someone that we don't even know?
Starting point is 00:27:26 Right. And he's standing like 10 toes down that they had never heard of her. She had no influence on their decision to rebrand their page from chicks to it girl. Like she's had seriously no impact. He remains. The fact remains. He's not changing his tune on that. But I guess the two of them have spoken.
Starting point is 00:27:43 They were DMing and Dave made a video to you by the sea. He made it. Sharing the messages. Yes. Because the messages are shocking. And I didn't know people still spoke like. this in 2020 6. But the thing is they don't. And that people still like actively beef like this. And everything that Dave said is like who Dave is who we know Dave is and like is part of the
Starting point is 00:28:03 Dave package. Whether you have accepted him or rejected him. He's speaking as Dave Portnoy. This is so shocking because this is Bailey from Summerhouse. The way that Bailey from Summerhouse is speaking, I'm, I'm in shock. As far as we know based on the screenshots, she messaged him first. So she messaged him with a sending the video of who's your it girl, which is the who's your it girl has started this conversation. It's a verity red carpet video that's like taking the world by storm. And she said, where did you get the idea, Dave, all caps? And he goes, you may be the biggest brain dead moron I've ever met. And she goes, fuck you ugly fat pig. You stole my shit. Hold on. He said, you should go to a doctor for brain damage. She said, you can tell it to my lawyer.
Starting point is 00:28:43 He writes back crying, laughing emojis. Because that is, no, no, like what, you're going to sue him for what asking a question. She said, I've had it, I've had it for three years, dumb, dumb. All you do is talk about Summerhouse because you have no relevance anymore. Embarrassing. She said, also in the video recording, you see text from Maria and Fran popping up. Oh, that's funny. I didn't see that part. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Then he said, every word you say makes you seem infinitely more idiotic. And I already thought you were one of the dumbest humans alive. She said, and these are a lot of typos. I'm going to tell you what she meant. Yeah. If people had the worst public opinion of me, they have a view, I couldn't live with myself. You should be deeply ashamed. the way, it's a you should heed deeply ashamed.
Starting point is 00:29:24 She's firing, she's firing. Her messages were difficult to... Decipher, what's with the typos? Get it together. You're feuding with one of the biggest fudsters on earth. You need to ring your egg. Talk to text. You need to bring your egg.
Starting point is 00:29:34 Yeah. And get out of the sun, you're turning purple. Salad slash veggies is good for the heart, she says. He said, I like the sun, but you should seek legit mental health. She said, it's an identical copy. What are you even claiming here? Ignorance? They're identical.
Starting point is 00:29:50 Or you're pretending you started it first and had it. launched it. What's your defense? He goes, you'll see my defense when I post a video, making you look like the delusional psychopath you are again, and my views roll in. Thanks for the easy content. She goes, you're doing the exact same thing down to the logo. You need the views. The page is a flop, and so are you. The internet didn't side with you before and they won't now. Overweight, demented fucking loser. I just need you guys to know also. It Girl has two million followers. He said, can I ask you a question? How many cats? do you have she goes zero why she even fucking answering that question yeah no this is like a weird
Starting point is 00:30:27 conversation weird conversation wait wait wait wait and he goes she goes zero he goes liar she goes how many people actually respect you oh wait i'm losing it i'm losing it hold on i got to bring it back up again you guys you need to yeah i'm sorry the way it ends is probably the craziest i like didn't know these sorts of things are happening anymore oh then I'm like holding down the video, you know. Yeah. Back to your purple. You're turning purple.
Starting point is 00:31:01 I can go two times to be. Pages of flop. Zero cats. Liar. She says, how many people actually like you and respect you? Zero. I have 500 messages calling you scum, which you are. Why wouldn't you apologize and fix it?
Starting point is 00:31:16 Who wants to be remembered like this? It's shameful and sad. I genuinely feel sympathy for having reputation like that. Do some good. Fuck, donate the money from the it girl page to some kind of charity. I do. Do some good with it if you're going to be so vile. Donate to a women's charity. Literally repent for some of your terrible bullshit. Make it about caps, women's sports, and donate to a scholarship and I'll leave it alone. He said, you don't exist to me. She said, I clearly do. You're so
Starting point is 00:31:43 desperate you have to copy my exact model in verbiage. He said, well, you DM'd me. She said, it's so fucking embarrassing. Donate some money because you won't stop copying me. I want you to change it or donate to a woman's charity breast cancer, a female sports scholarship, anything. You want to ask people who their ultimate it girl, been doing it for three years? At least do some fucking honor by it.
Starting point is 00:32:06 We donate to the LES Girls Club. You should too. Lori said. Doesn't have to be public in any way. If you tell me you've done it, I'll believe you and it can be a wash. She really goes through a roller coaster of emotion in this chat. Are you still talking? You are
Starting point is 00:32:22 a bit character on a reality show. get over yourself, go by seven more cats. And she said, you're a fat loser. The fat shaming is crazy. Yeah. I didn't know we were still doing that. So Dave did sort of open up with that kind of language. Like he started it.
Starting point is 00:32:40 Of course, he's gotten her a dumb more. You're a fat loser and can only get girls 20 years younger because he is rich and the world despises you. What a legacy. Pure shame to be associated with you. Donate something to do some good. So like the donation part is, sort of what gets me because I don't really understand why it's relevant.
Starting point is 00:32:59 And it's a little performative. I feel like at that point she'd like do the messages. We're going to get screenshotsed. So she can like come out looking like a hero being like, donate to a breast cancer charity. And the thing is about Dave Portner. Like you can actually criticize him in many ways. But like he's extremely charitable. There's not one more charitable.
Starting point is 00:33:14 It's true. Like he donates a lot of money to like veterans, small businesses. So and there's like a pretty good record of that. So it's just like a bad call on her part. And it's also like objection. relevance? What does charity have to do with literally any of this? You don't have to post it. Just tell me and it'll be a wash-
Starting point is 00:33:30 Oh, okay. What is he owe you? Oh, okay. Like what on earth? First of all, this saga is so stupid. Yes, the original sin is nothing at all. But the way that she's talking in the DMs, and I've always liked her on some of her house. I thought she's like just like rational and the cool girl's girl. And just like
Starting point is 00:33:46 relatable and got it together and like someone that I would, you know, chit-chat with, whatever. These DMs are the ravings of a crazy person. Yeah. Like his DMs are Dave Portnoy and that's how we talk to me. And I would expect nothing less from him. Her? Who talks like that?
Starting point is 00:34:01 And the ageism, the fat shaming? Yeah. Like, we don't talk like that. And especially if you want to be like so you're better than him, you're calling him all the, then she made a follow up video calling him like an alleged harasser, alleged rapist. And so like you're the better, more moral one of the two of you. And you're talking like that? Yeah, it's very incongruous with the girl we've gotten to know.
Starting point is 00:34:23 Now I guess she only been on one season and like she really wasn't a main character so how much could we know her? But I see her on social media a lot and I don't know, I just thought I just sound as I can never see her talking like this. So then she posted a video responding to him and she said this is like
Starting point is 00:34:36 the last time she's going to bring it up. Was she this in the back of the car? In the back of the car. Yeah, she had a photo shoot that day. So my heart goes out to her. My heart goes out to her. A fellow model. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:46 And I just thought it was the whole thing, the ravings of a crazy person. Let me pull up the video. How do you find such a thing? Was it in her stories? Maybe it's in her stories. Or was it TikTok? We're going to call this T by the B
Starting point is 00:35:02 because we can just steal people's stuff these days. I never said I invented a big girl. He keeps saying that because it's the only thing people agree with him on. I didn't invent it. I have made a living, however, long before I was on TV, and I did have a following. I've been an influencer for years full time. It's how I've made a living for years.
Starting point is 00:35:18 I did invent going on carpets and asking celebrities who their ultimate in girl was. It is born out of wanting to create a space in media where women say something nice about each other. That is literally where it came from. I don't know where his came from, probably out of his ass. He is an alleged rapist. I want no one to forget that.
Starting point is 00:35:34 He is an alleged predator. I don't take back a single word I said to him, and everything he said that I said was nasty. I wish I was ten times nastier. I think personally that man is a disgusting low life who should be in jail for what he did to other women. So that's my thoughts. I'll never talk to him again, about him again.
Starting point is 00:35:51 Forget it. I don't get nothing anybody has to say. me to me about it, change my eye and welcome to the it girl. Oh, I actually didn't watch the whole thing. It's got, it's crazy. Yeah. What do I want to say about this? Let me think.
Starting point is 00:36:09 She, yeah, like, you just like shouldn't start stuff you can't finish. You know what I mean? And so I feel like she started this thing years ago. It backfired on her completely. And now she's like more well known because of Summerhouse. And people love this sort of story. I love creators. Cod being creators.
Starting point is 00:36:30 And, you know, it's easy, like, to pick a fight with Dave Portnard because so many people dislike him and they're going to be like, yeah, I'm with Bailey, just for the sake of being against A porn. I don't think it went the way that she expected it to. So now to be like, I'm never talking about this again. It's like, okay, well, you were, no one was talking about it before. So, sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:47 And just like to use, like, I don't know, I just feel like she's no longer making an argument about like the it girl. We're not talking about the thing anymore. And the thing is like, yes, maybe that's her thing to go and ask people on red carpet. it's like who's your it girl, but like two people can have that same thought without them having copied you. Yeah, she sort of just like is insisting on being validated in that one sense and he just won't even acknowledge that like their creative has anything to do with her. And that's kind of all she wants. She'll go away if they just acknowledge it.
Starting point is 00:37:13 And donate to a charity. Right. I just, I think it's so thin. So many times like something we say or something and then other people start saying, I would never go to war with someone over that. No, I say a lot of times. I see people like regurgitating thoughts that I've had. Of course. I'm wondering if,
Starting point is 00:37:30 and I know that that person like listens to the toast. I'm like, I wonder if they're just like agreeing with me using my take or they came up with it on their own. It's not like entirely unique. They heard your take. They agreed with it. And now that's their take.
Starting point is 00:37:41 Like I just don't think everything is so deep. I think people can have like shared thoughts. It's not that big of a deal. And you certainly shouldn't go to war with everyone. Yeah. You think stole a caption from you. And the last person you want to go to war with is Dave Fortneoy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:54 That's the last person. Yeah. Even his T-by-C account, which is just like him ranting from his chair as 100,000 followers. He doesn't even post it to his deep. I went looking for this video and I couldn't find it. Right. Like he has so many fans. Like he goes so hard.
Starting point is 00:38:06 He has receipts. Like he has nothing to hide. No, he doesn't. I just, I don't think it was a good look for her. And it just showed her in a light that I did not expect from her. And like, I'm sorry, the fat shaming? Yeah, not cool.
Starting point is 00:38:19 The body shaming and the ageism? And then you're like, well, I created this space for women to compliment one other. So why are you calling everyone fat? No, and like, why are you being nasty? Yeah, no. And that's not, that doesn't look good for women the way that you're speaking. I know. And it is giving, like, emotional, you know?
Starting point is 00:38:35 Do you know what I mean? Like, she's on her period. In the car, yeah, she was, I felt like she was like going to cry or something. Like, it was just, I feel, I agree, like, not a good look for women. Yeah. That's how I feel. Yeah. Not to use the E word.
Starting point is 00:38:49 She said she's done talking about it. If you guys want to continue, like I'm enjoying. I'm here watching. And I'm. open to new perspectives. Like, nobody has provided proof. And I need to see these, um, these allegations of the caption stealing. Maybe they're out there, but they haven't come across my desk on reels. The caption stealing. If you have more evidence to provide, I'd be happy to take a look. And it's like, what's the caption? I'd be happy to take a look. What's the caption? Cheers to the freaking weekend,
Starting point is 00:39:14 you know? You can't own that. You can't own the weekend. So like, yeah, maybe you did have the same caption. I need to know the caption, too. Yeah. Yeah, of course. Of course. She said, yeah, like, Charleston, you look gorgeous tonight. Like, what's the capital? There are some just phrases that are like royalty-free. Like, nobody owns them. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:35 Public domain. We honestly shouldn't be proud that we're using them. It's literally a shame. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Are you ready for our next story? Mm-hmm. Which I think you'll find interesting.
Starting point is 00:39:45 Bobby Bones details how Dancing with the Stars allegedly decides performance order. Okay. He said the network would kill him for sharing this. And one thing about Bobby Bones is like, he doesn't give a fuck about dance. with the stars anymore. Like he hates everyone there. He hates the fact that he won. He hates the pros. He hates Tom Bergeron. He returned his mirror ball. He hates the fans. Like he hates everyone
Starting point is 00:40:03 involved. So I love someone who has nothing to lose. So I also didn't fully understand. I thought like he did really good and he just happened to win. And there was someone who was like better who didn't win. But apparently a low scores all season. He scored the lowest of the final four in judges. But he had the most fan votes and that's why he won. So it'd be like Guillermo winning. Yeah. Certainly not the best dancer. Milo and Whitney. I've seen some of of their dances. They're amazing, like Jordan Fisher level, and it would be as if Jordan Fisher didn't win because someone just more popular one. Yeah, I guess it reminds me, like, of Whitney last season, who was the best dancer and didn't even make the top four. Like, and we're okay.
Starting point is 00:40:37 Like, yeah, and we are, okay. Like, everybody needs to calm down. Like, Milo should have gone to Chicago. I have seen some of the, like, sides of the fan base I'm dancing with the stars. And I think a lot of the OG fans feel very territorial of the show. And they don't like these new fans who come in and don't know how to vote. Like, you're not supposed to vote 10 times if you want to give someone an eight, you know? Like, they're so ballroom nuts. spending the voting system. Yeah, no, they're just like crazy. And I think they're really conflicting with the new fans. We're just like here to have fun. No, and also when someone gets cast, it's with the hope that they will bring their fandom to the show to get more viewers for
Starting point is 00:41:07 the show that you love so that the show that you love can air and have advertisers. Yeah, there's like a very territorial nature when it comes to old fans versus new fans. And I think like the old fans who were around. And yes, you guys were around long before we were. You cared about the pros long before we were. Good for you. You guys are like a little, a little crazy. Like, and I think you are just like, taking it so seriously. And I saw Fibula. He was like on his podcast. It was such a good call. He was like, I just feel like a lot of the reactions and like the take away from the fact that like, I'm literally dancing in a pink suit. Like I'm supposed to be having fun. And it's like, yeah. Some people are really like making this not fun. Yeah. That's why if I were on Dance with the Stars,
Starting point is 00:41:42 I would not look at anything anyone is saying. Yeah. And we forgot to recap Fibula's dance. Oh my God. That was not a slight. No, not at all. Especially because I wanted to say it was like really the first time I was like, Oh, okay. He's improving. He's doing really well. And I think I wrote in our chat, like, I think I ship. Oh, yeah. And they, because they both are, like, young. And they both seem like they have a little bit of awkwardness about them that. They're a good match. That, like, because they've been put together, they are comfortable with one another. She has a boyfriend, like a long term. She's, like a Mormon swirley. Like, they're probably
Starting point is 00:42:14 getting mad. He's, like, on mission or whatever, you know. Like. Well, never mind. And I agree that fibula, I want to give him his proper. His dance was so good. I love to see him as a leading man. He talked about that on his podcast, too, that his mom texted him being like, you weren't leading. Like, you weren't leading. So I think he was, like, really in his head. And he was, and it was like a sexy dance. And the thing about Fibbila, I see him as a friend, a little brother. Girls, like, love him. I think he's, like, very attractive to young Gen Z. So for him to be doing, like, a sexy dance, he was not going home. Like, the girls, they were, his fans were flipping. His sexy dance was for Gen Z, what Tyler Cameron
Starting point is 00:42:46 was for millennials. Like, his fans were flipping. Yeah. The sexy somba in the beginning and then the worm. His hips moved. The hips. Did you see Guillermo doing it? He copied. He did it with Fibula, like the stomba in the beginning. It was hilarious. Sorry, Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:43:02 Bobby Bones went on. And I also want to say, like, it's amazing that Bobby Bones has that many loyal fans, because everyone who comes on the show is a star, but to have so many actual voting fans that will propel you way past your score, more than Milo, like, more than Alex Earl even, didn't even come in first place, even though she's, like, the most popular influencer. Like, shout out to Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:43:20 Yeah, I think when we talk about, like, the greats of radio, We always, of course, I go to Howard Stern. Bobby Bowens really often doesn't get his flowers, but he's huge. Did you also see Howard's term? Did you see Bobby Bones also shared recently that he has coxidonia? That came across my desk.
Starting point is 00:43:35 I've been meaning to talk about that. And where do you think he heard the term? His wife? From his wife, who's a to toaster. Who's listening to the toast? I'm just saying Bobby Bones is coxedinia. Did you see Howard Stern shading dancing with the stars voters?
Starting point is 00:43:45 That's our job. No, no, no. He said because he said he thought it was like so lame that Sarah Jane and Haley Bills got out the first night because he was like, who doesn't want to see two hot girls dancing? Oh, not him rearing his old ugly head. That's something like old Howard, like from the 90s would say. Ew.
Starting point is 00:44:04 It's like, we're not watching Dancing with the Stars as perverts. Like, we're just... This isn't dancing with the perverts. It's not like a sex show. That's a really weird thing to say about like two young girls. Oh, and he said it multiple times. And then he said... Oh, I didn't see any of this.
Starting point is 00:44:16 And then he said, who even votes on Dancing with the Stars? If you vote on Dancing with Stars, you have no life. Get a light. Cancel Howard fucking Stern. It was so crazy. He thinks like the voting public of Dancing with the Stars are like the biggest losers on the planet.
Starting point is 00:44:29 That's literally us. He was like, get a life and that were all losers for sending home Sarah, Jane, and Haley. You know what's funny? I actually thought it was like quite unique of people to be able to send home Haley and Sarah because she is so pretty.
Starting point is 00:44:40 They're such a great duo. Like they could get by on how Guillermo gets by on like being cutesy and old. They could get by being young and pretty and skinny. We were able to see pairs their looks. I think it speaks to the actual and the intelligence of the day.
Starting point is 00:44:52 with the stars voting community. I completely agree. Like we're not on the enderthals being like, hot girls. Two girls. Oh my God. I hate that. And I very rarely vehemently disagree with Howard Stern.
Starting point is 00:45:02 I feel like ever since I read his book, I like actually really respect him. And it's like, you know what? Stay in your lane. Yeah. Leave dancing with stars to us. The Golden Globe nominated nominees. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:13 But here's what Bobby Bone said. On a recent episode of the He Said G said podcast. Oh, you know whose podcast that is. He said G said. He said. G said. Letter G. Letter G. Letter G.
Starting point is 00:45:24 Who's letter G? Viniguanic Nino? No. Who's Germo? No. Wait, who was on this podcast? Bobby Bones, who would he be talking to? Don't think about it that way.
Starting point is 00:45:32 It's a reality couples podcast. He said. Julianna Rancic? No. That's a good guess. Yeah. Let me make sure this is the right podcast. Because I'm doing good guesses.
Starting point is 00:45:43 Yep, yep, yep, yep. One of my favorite reality couples who came from different reality universes. Bilacelai. Velocula and Gianina. They're having a baby, right? They're having another baby, yeah. You could have a play date with them. I'm good.
Starting point is 00:45:59 I'll set it up. He went on the he said G-Said podcast. That's random. Yeah. I'm cracking up. He said G-said. I love the title. It's a good name.
Starting point is 00:46:09 I love it. They should be nominated for a nominee. No, they shouldn't. Like, don't, like it's obviously a very hard special thing. This fucking brace is really piss me out. You think I take a little break. Sure. Yeah, it's probably all the bracelets don't help.
Starting point is 00:46:20 I know. You should also. like take off your bracelets in pregnancy. Just like be free. Really? Yeah. I took off all my love bracelets. Well, when I was getting my sarclos out and I had put them back on. I was actually going to put them back on. Oh my God. This feels insane. Take off your face. No, no, I'm fine right now. Okay. We have got to get to this story. He said, geez. What did he say and what did G say? Come on. I want to know what, I'm going to tell you what he said,
Starting point is 00:46:45 G said, and then I want to know what he said C said. Okay. He said that the next Network would probably kill me for saying this, but they had asked, he and G, asked how the order goes. And he said that's such a good question. He launched into his theory that the network is very intentional about which celebrity and dance pro pairings they put at the top and the bottom of each hour, of each hour, the beginning hour. If they're putting you at the top of the hour, that means they want you to be seen. He claimed that they take into account the people who are flipping off of other channels when their show is over at like 9 o'clock and then they're coming and dancing with the stars. if they're watching linearly through television, if they left one show and they're coming over to watch in that second hour
Starting point is 00:47:23 and you're the first person that they see. He said, so there's strategy involved with who they put at the top of the show and who they're putting at the very top of that next hour and who they're putting at the end as well. Yeah, I think if you're at the end, I've always felt that like you're not even remotely at risk for going home. So the fact that you have the least amount, like Ezra Frech went last last week and Mora went home.
Starting point is 00:47:40 So I always feel like you're not even close to being out, so you're not going to get such a disadvantage by being last. But I also think everybody has to go last at some point. Yes. But the way they order the rest of it, he said he doesn't think it's necessarily about who's expected to win, but might instead be influenced by popularity and, like, drawing viewers in. I would love to know who was at the top of the second hour. Like, who are names that, like, if you flip on over dancing with the stars.
Starting point is 00:48:01 Well, now I'm going to be aware of it. Yeah. Because it does, when I'm watching the episode over the course of the two hours, it is a bit of like a peak in a valley. Like sometimes I'm like, there's a couple of people. I'm like, oh. And then towards the end, we're getting closer to the elimination. Like, you perk back in and you get more excited.
Starting point is 00:48:15 So, yeah, I think it's also. there's an emotional element to it too. Yeah, he said they're showing those people off on purpose. I've never actually talked about that, but they do put you in places for that reason, which is also, I think, surprising why Sierra went home on the night where she went first. I am more so curious about how they decide who gets what song. I heard, like, theories that it has to do with your scores from the prior week. Like, if you had a really good score, you get a really good song. That's fair because, like, they want a great performance. Right. There's no proof of that, but I thought that was, like, a good theory. That is a good theory. And sometimes they get to pick.
Starting point is 00:48:43 If it's, like, a very wide, like, I think, like, for Tick, night or whatever. Right, or like if you have a real personal connection, like Harry Shum Jr. being in the music video. Yes. Like, no, for Mariah Carey Night, yeah, they're probably doling out songs. But the first night when it was like songs from the year you were born. Oh, yeah, an anthem that represents your life. You get to pick. And I think on like TikTok night, you would get to pick
Starting point is 00:49:00 whatever viral or viral night song. Yeah. Like, why not pick? Within limits. I know from Mask Singer that you're really not allowed to perform a song that somebody else has performed. Sometimes they make exceptions, but if it's been danced too, like you probably can't do it. And a lot of songs, like don't get cleared legally. Like the
Starting point is 00:49:16 This doesn't want their song on 10th of the stars. Yeah. Stupid idiots, but yeah. Stupid idiots can never be me, but yeah. So that's what he said on G said. That's what he said on G said. That's what B said on he said, G said. That's what B said on he said G said.
Starting point is 00:49:29 And that's what J and C said about B on he said, G said. And that's how Sue sees it. Are you ready for our fourth story? Starting point is 00:55:22 that we sent you. Thank you. You're welcome. Our next story, a little Instagram romance, I guess. Alex Earle was caught liking Braxton Berrios photo. I don't know what to think here. And Magui liked it too. Yeah, McGui liked it too. And like based on what we've seen in recent weeks, like him and Magui seem to be going at it and based on what we saw on Earl meets world, which is old, is that like Alex seems to be pining for Braxton. So based on the information that I have, which is limited,
Starting point is 00:55:49 it's that like Alex is still pining for him. And did you see Ashley Dupree? What did my queen do now? She shared this story. It was actually very sweet. You know, they live in New Jersey. And they were talking about Penelope. Ashley was like, I just wanted to share this nice story.
Starting point is 00:56:03 I think that like maybe the family feels like they weren't 100% fair to Baxter in the TV show, especially when they said that like Thomas texts him and he doesn't answer. And that was like the one thing Braxton responded to because I think, you know, whatever happened between him and Alex, I think he like has a lot of love for the family, specifically Thomas. So she made this video just to like, maybe like, Curry favor with Braxton. So Ashley was basically like, you know, Penelope, her whole group of friends is guys.
Starting point is 00:56:24 Like, she's one of the guys. You know, she is like kind of a tomboy. And for one of their birthdays, like the party was a Giants game. Braxton pays on the Giants now. And Penelope actually, like, texted him or maybe Ashley did, being like, you know, Ashley, Penelope is going to the game. Like, she would really love to see you. Oh, it was a birthday party at the giant?
Starting point is 00:56:43 Yes. Okay. With all of her guy friends. Like Ashley made sure to say like Penelope's like, not like other girls, you know? and Penelope would love to see you. Like can she text you and like maybe after the game or something just like meet you? And he did and he was like really sweet about the whole thing. It was like a very nice video that Ashley made just to sort of like maybe get people off Braxton's back a little bit when it comes to the kids.
Starting point is 00:57:02 So I don't feel it. I think the show made Braxton look amazing. Oh, one thousand percent. Boyfriend who you will never get over. You will never find anyone like it even if you are not in a place to get married or have a serious relationship right now. Like you should really think twice before breaking up with the perfect guy. Agreed. And even when like Thomas said Braxton did an answer.
Starting point is 00:57:18 answer me like I didn't feel like oh he's ghosted Thomas I just felt like maybe he didn't answer you yet yeah you know like I didn't think anything wrong I don't think they need to even do repair but I think considering he did this nice thing for Penelope like Ashley's way of repaying him almost it's like letting people know that he was a good guy that he's a really good guy yeah I don't think her liking her his photo means anything well she unfollowed him like went a while ago so like she's but she followed him back a while ago too did she this might be like the first photo that she's like she actively follows him because it's like crazy if she doesn't follow him and the photo was just like him thinking god
Starting point is 00:57:53 I do think that these two either and as far as I know Braxton is like not interested in getting back together and Alex had said on the show that he always said like he would never get back together with somebody who broke up with him that's sort of just like a personal boundary of his um he does not follow Braxton so oh oh so what is she trying to say that's like how you slip it
Starting point is 00:58:14 you're opening the door yeah I'm gonna like a photo like I need this sort of like shit or get off the You know what I mean? Like, I want them to get back together And I actually think now that I know Alex, like this is exactly what she needs. So the post, I think we need to read more of the post. I thought it was just a quote about God.
Starting point is 00:58:29 But then there's more to it, which is that he needs surgery that will end his season. Two of his last three seasons ended this way And he'd be lying if he said he wasn't sad right now. So this is her like just supporting him in a time of need. And that's just like her being a bigger person. Agreed. It means nothing.
Starting point is 00:58:44 It's just like, despite everything that's happened between us, I'm sorry this happened to you Magui is there That's just like her being mature Magui is dressed up in the candy strippers Yeah Okay
Starting point is 00:58:55 Well sorry that happened to your knee Like we didn't even know that Yeah I just feel like Braxton should call it quits with football Like it's sort of just like not meant to be And I think he like will have a successful career As a businessman people really like him And want to work with him
Starting point is 00:59:08 He's also like an investor He's one of the Pants Yeah He does like a lot of investing too He's fine Yeah but I think like everyone Who's an athlete like has a lot of money So they invest some
Starting point is 00:59:16 and some people lose it all and whatever. I think he has like good sense. And I think like he's a good, I think people just like working with him. I think he'll also end up getting some sort of like broadcasting contract just because he's like more famous than the other running backs or whatever his job is.
Starting point is 00:59:28 Like he has a lot of Instagram followers. He's a lot of recognizability. It's like a very like public figure for the level of player. Like he could wind up being someone who has a bigger broadcast career than football. Yeah. I'm open. Which is like weird Tom Brady does comedy.
Starting point is 00:59:41 I mean he has experience podcasting like on Get Real. Yeah. On what's it called? Hot MacMexam. Hot mess. Hot mess. Those were the days. Okay.
Starting point is 00:59:52 Are you ready for our fifth and vinyl story? Speaking of football, Disney Plus will be streaming the Super Bowl for the first time in 2027. And it's also on cable. That's like sort of the confusing part. ABC, ESPN, and then Disney Plus will also stream it so we can still watch on cable per usual. But, you know, international audience, cable cutters, cord cutters. The NFL is obsessed with growing their international audience because it's such an American sport. football is actually like it means another thing.
Starting point is 01:00:17 They don't want football. They want, no, sorry, they don't want football. They want football. But the NFL wants football. To be football. Right. And they're really trying to have those inter- They force the players to fly to Australia. Like it's so cruel. And I guess this is like another step in that. When I first thought, I thought it was instead of cable and I'm like, the Oscars are going on Netflix. Like what, like seriously, what's the point of cable? I happen to like big events being on cable. It just feels like so, old school.
Starting point is 01:00:46 Yeah. And it's like, commercials. And like, what do you see commercials when you watch? Because the whole thing with the Super Bowl is the commercials.
Starting point is 01:00:52 When you're watching on Disney Plus? Yeah, I think the commercials stream too. Like the whole broadcast. It's one big broadcast. You think? But a lot of commercials like, you can't stream commercials because a lot of them are like regional.
Starting point is 01:01:02 That's true. And also it's like I pay for no ads. What the hell is this? It's like when I'm watching Jebris here, like I'm used to seeing like Shade A Bed or Inwa and she's like coming up on the eyewitness news. And there's like some guy here. Like I don't,
Starting point is 01:01:12 you know what I mean? So when you're watching, even the same exact program in a different state, you get different commercials. Yeah. Even on the Super Bowl. I don't know how it will affect commercials. And that's sort of the best part. Mm-hmm. Well, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:01:26 Good luck with your global endeavors. Like, I don't understand why. I don't understand why being the biggest thing in the entire country. Isn't enough for you? And you have to go places that you're not wanted. They're taken care of in terms of sports. Like, seriously, the love for is like gratitude. The love for soccer worldwide is greater than the love of anything, any sport, anywhere else.
Starting point is 01:01:49 Like, you think that you can get a piece of that. Good luck to you. You can't. And you're also, like, forsaking your fans that are here and do like you in service of, like, this global audience. We have not heard yet who the Super Bowl performer is. A couple of names. Every year, Miley. I'm so ready for a Miley Super Bowl.
Starting point is 01:02:08 It almost feels like it's never going to happen just because it's like a joke. I don't think it's going to happen. You have to remember that Jay Z. is doing the halftime show and like he who are his friends and like it's going to be what he wants and it's just like not swirly it's not really i feel that we went through actually an extremely swirly decade of katy perry bruno mars biancing colpexy when pepsy yeah we had a swirley decade and now i feel it's not for the girls no and you're right it's not going to be myly who's it like get it out of your head like i have zero expectation i know when everyone we guess like it's
Starting point is 01:02:36 literally never been anyone we guess who's having like a big year yeah and it's not even anyone anymore Give it to Olivia Rodriguez. I know I'm going swirly, but you would be great. It would never be. It would not be Olivia Rodrigo. It's not even someone who has a longstanding career like a legacy artist. It's really someone like sort of present at the moment. When it used to be like you have to reach a certain level.
Starting point is 01:02:54 Yeah. Like you come out of retirement to do Super Bowl. You know how it should be. I mean, and it won't be given like the, but we throw a lot of names around, of course, pink, Kelly Clarkson, my like, the backstreet boys. They would be good. It wouldn't be. Yeah, no, I have no idea.
Starting point is 01:03:10 And it's like not even worth guessing. We're always off by a lot. I'll go to my release radar and I'll tell you it's going to be some like random. I mean, give it to Luke Holmes. Chris Stapleton. He was already in the building for the national anthem. And they do like to pluck people who've done like the other musical acts like Lady Gaga did the anthem and then the.
Starting point is 01:03:28 Mm-hmm. The bowl. I mean, I'll do it. I'm like sure. Okay, I'll do it. Honey Dad, we're going to have a good time. That's an end up to the sky. We're going to get hosted tonight.
Starting point is 01:03:41 Like it's literally going to be jelly roll Because don't you feel like jelly roll Just keeps getting opportunities That he's like not really eligible for it? Yes, but I would love for it to be jelly roll. I don't know that I would Really? I heard jelly roll's houses for sale
Starting point is 01:03:53 No, I'm not done with him I was never like with him You know what could be? I would like Justin Bieber Yeah I feel like it could be him Yeah, you could also pluck from like the Coachella lineup I feel like Jayze would choose him
Starting point is 01:04:05 And like he always sort of gets it together And puts out a performance Coachella performance was like extremely well received Yeah. That's a good one. Yeah. Just take your time, honey. I get it.
Starting point is 01:04:15 I get it. I get it. I think Justin Bieber is interested in making money right now. Yeah. So that he doesn't feel like a total deadbeat compared to his wife. It's true. Having a billionaire for her wife is all fun in games until. He works once a year and brings home like $15 million.
Starting point is 01:04:29 That works. That works. So I actually think it could be him. Yeah, it would benefit everyone. And people would really like that. Yes. I wouldn't be over the moon. I would be pretty excited.
Starting point is 01:04:38 But yeah. Yeah, that's a good one. Okay. that's our show. We have to go to a photo shoot. Like seriously, exhausting the life of a model never ends.
