Starting point is 00:00:09 It's Jackson, Claude and neighbor show the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off, swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Wednesday. That's right. It's hump day. And you're not seeing double.
Starting point is 00:00:29 You're seeing trouble. Yeah, that's right. We came to work today, did not drive together. And look what happens. And paid the ultimate price. We both, Jackie walked in wearing the same sweater as me and a curler in her hair. I walked in wearing that same sweater and a curler in. my hair. Same sweater, same color.
Starting point is 00:00:45 Because we each have this sweater in two colors. And don't tell you when I wore it yesterday. And we could have been wearing a different color. Yeah. And maybe I would have been, but you took mine. Yes, I wore yours. Yeah. No, I had planned to wear this color because it matched my shoes better. And lo and behold. It is what it is. Turtle Lou. I mean, it's just so crazy. It's so... Of all the sweaters in all the world. You had to walk into the studio.
Starting point is 00:01:06 I have my reasoning for why I went with this one today. Oh, I have my reasoning, too. I'm big as a house. I'm wearing like these form-fitting capri. that I always like to wear with a cardigan. But I didn't want to wear a cardigan that was like too snug because there's... You do not have to explain yourself. It's an amazing sweater. It's one of my favorite wears.
Starting point is 00:01:23 It's from nude. Shout out nudes. Please make it in more colors. Yeah, a pink. It will happen less. It's very boxy. It's very flattering. It's called like the boxy-moxy cardion.
Starting point is 00:01:31 For a big woman, like I recommend this sweater. Agreed. It's an amazing sweater. But I do plan to wear it as a small woman as well. And I'm sure it's going to look just as good. That's the magic of this sweater. Yeah. It's the sisterhood.
Starting point is 00:01:45 Of the traveling cardigan. Please make more colors, okay? Yeah. And let's just like, you know, let's not get into like who wore it best. That's just not the types of game wins we want to play. It's also like, it's not a level playing field. Like I'm obviously like wearing this cardigan for two.
Starting point is 00:01:58 It's just. No, you're not. It's just, it's not a level playing field. Dancing with the stars. Ba-Bada-Bap-Bap-Bap-Bah. When do the episodes become, one hour, don't they? Like when there's less contestants? Never. Really when there's like five people
Starting point is 00:02:17 left, there's still two hours? I think so. Because last night was the first night. They're not going to give up that hour of advertisement. Last night was the first night where I was like, there are too many people on this show. There are. We are due for a double, twist my arm, a triple elimination. I can go for a double elimination, but I fear that like it's gone. No, by the way, I decided last night
Starting point is 00:02:37 that I think Guillermo should win the mirror ball. I think he should win. but then the only thing that's stopping me is Ezra. Right. Like for me, it's Guillermo or Ezra to win the mirror ball. For me, it's Ezra or Tatiana Ali who is very quietly becoming my favorite contestant. I have a lot. I have a good amount of favorites.
Starting point is 00:03:01 I mean, there's a thousand people on the show. There's so many people there and we just sort of need to drain the swamp a little bit. Yeah, we do because I'm watching and I'm sort of becoming like detached. I'm like, who's next? I don't care. Like, yeah. I feel when the. Season first premiered, I cannot wait to see the dances.
Starting point is 00:03:13 And now I'm like, oh, another person. Yeah, another dance. Like, sorry, Pasha and Amber. I'm sorry. Actually, that's like a hot take as people like Pasha and Amber. I feel like, sorry. Who's on the show that I don't want to be mean saying? She doesn't want to say it.
Starting point is 00:03:28 I'll name them. Who did you say? Pasha and Amber. Sorry, Harry Shum. Like, seriously, except you brought Kurt and Mercedes to the ballroom last night, so you're doing your job. So sometimes when I'm going through dancing with the stars Twitter, I see. the old clips of previous seasons of like amazing dances. So like Milo and Whitney. I saw one last night
Starting point is 00:03:50 of I believe Jordan Fisher. People were obsessed with them. And Riley Arnold told her sister, Lindsay. And it was such an amazing dance and was a big wheels keep on turn. And they were doing the jive. And it was incredible ballroom dancing. And like I want to see that too. That level. Yeah. And that's what Harry and Jenna are there for to give us some like good dancing. And so I want to try and like appreciate them while they're there. But they're just like not giving. us iconic moments. But they're the only one. Like Jordan Fisher was a good dancer
Starting point is 00:04:16 and he became an amazing dancer on dancing with the stars. That's what Harry and Jenna are capable of of and like we want to see good dancing too. That's true. I don't just want to see a fucking mess that we're putting a bow on and saying you tried your best.
Starting point is 00:04:28 We kind of like see enough regular people doing regular things in everyday life. And everyone is there for a reason but I do want like I feel Rob that I don't get to see this Jordan Fisher dance. Well maybe like it's still early in the season. It's only week three. Like maybe I know I'm like broken record.
Starting point is 00:04:42 I feel like Tata on Ali. could get to a place where she's giving us short and visual level. Like, she is so good. I was shook at her dance last night. Our first story is dancing with the stars, right? Our last story, it always is, because not everyone watches. And we just sort of play this game every week where... Yeah, we try not to talk about it, but you brought it up.
Starting point is 00:04:55 Because that's, like, what I did last night. Yeah. I watched the longest show on television. Yeah, me as well. We had dinner together. That was... It was great. We got...
Starting point is 00:05:03 Did we get manicures yesterday? Is that yesterday? It was. Yeah, we got manicures. Yeah. It's just a fun fact, you know, here in Florida, things are a little different. Jeopardy's on at 7.30, like right before Dancing with the Stars. In New York, it's 7 o'clock Jeopardy.
Starting point is 00:05:17 7.30, Wheel of Fortune. Here, swapped. Interesting. I was like, wait, am I early? It was 7.45. I'm like, why are we watching Jeopardy? Which is coming up. So what does that mean? We're springing backwards? It just means that it will get dark earlier. So like at 5 o'clock it's dark.
Starting point is 00:05:35 Great. So this is where we all kind of depressed. Yeah, it's kind of a bummer. Major bummer. Oh, thanks for that. Yeah, sorry. I don't know when that's happening. We probably have some time. But it's already naturally happening, as you can tell.
Starting point is 00:05:47 Yes, and of course it's for the farmers. It's getting darker earlier. We respect them. Always. Always and forever. They keep this country moving. 1,000%. So if I have to, like, you know, struggle with my mental health for the farms, then I'll do it.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Because that's what it takes to be an American. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Absolutely. So we got manicures. We got the same exact nail color. We're wearing the same exact sweater. Thankfully, we're wearing different pants and shoes.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Yeah, I went for like a chocolate brown pant when you went for black. Yeah. So we're so different. Like that's what... And then these are my shoes, which I just thought matched perfectly. They do, they do. And because I went with chocolate brown, I'm wearing like a brown Louis Vuitton sandals. So I'm not bending down to pick up my shoe, but just trust that they're like sick.
Starting point is 00:06:27 They are. Such a plight of being a petite woman. And of course, I mean vertically, not horizontally. Is every pair of pants you own like you have to get hemmed. Yeah. Like that's insane. I know. Shout out to the companies that do petite.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Like Topshop was always doing like petite jeans. Abucombe does it really well But I'm wearing these a cool Eritzia pants They're pooling on the ground Yeah I have like a pile of pants in my closet And am I really expected to tailor A pair of pants from Eritzia Like
Starting point is 00:06:52 But what's crazy is like moving through size is the way that I am On both ends of the spectrum Like I have so many pairs Every time I get a new I'm getting a new pair of pants like every month Yeah It's not supposed to be like that No and I just feel like going to the tailor
Starting point is 00:07:05 Is reserved for like when I get invited to the Met Gala Like going to the tailor's not like an everyday thing Getting your clothes tailored, your everyday clothes tailored, like, is an elite level. It's extremely indulgent, in my opinion. No, but I think it's like this, a small thing that makes a huge difference. That's what it was used to say on fashion police. George Stephanopoulos, Katsiopoulos, was always saying the tailoring on here is impeccable. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:26 What happened to him? I think he's still. Styling? You think? Is he Katsyopoulos or Stephanopoulos? There's two different ones. Staphanopoulos is like a newsman. I got a manicure next to him in the city one time.
Starting point is 00:07:40 I remember. It was like kind of amazing. I couldn't believe he was getting a manicure like in public. Not that there's anything wrong with men getting manicure like no like a nice like you know touch up like I like men like when you have gross hands like it's gross but it was just I want you to have nice hands but I don't want to have nice hands but I'm going to the process of the nice hands coming to life. They should do it at the barber. Yes I think a lot of people do get their nails done at the bar. Okay good because I don't want to witness it and don't come into like female dominance based it. Agreed agreed agreed. pick up a chair and put your foot. That's true. Don't bring your fungus into our, like, our foot baths. Into our sacred place.
Starting point is 00:08:11 That's true. But he didn't get a pedicure. He just got as far as I know. And I was like, is that George Katsiopoulos? But George Katsiopoulos was on fashion police and he was there because he was like a celebrity stylist. What happened to him? You say so. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Like I would say like they need to bring back fashion police, but they actually really don't. People can't handle. No, no, no. Because what they would bring back would be a pie. of Drek. It would be very sensitive. Like you can't say you don't like someone's dress. No, no, it would not be good.
Starting point is 00:08:40 If they wanted to bring it back in its original form, like hot takes. Resurrection Joan from the dead. That would be amazing. But no one's going to do that. No. Anyone do that. Right. And yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:50 Joan was one of one. Yeah. Where people like wanted to be roasted by her. And sort of uncancellable. Ah. My queen. Mm-hmm. I feel that perhaps we dive in just because like I want to talk about
Starting point is 00:09:04 Dancing with the Stars. Okay. If you say so. Unless, is there anything else you want to chat about? If you say so, no, no, no. We can get into the stories. If anything else comes up, you know,
Starting point is 00:09:13 I'll find my way. Of course. I feel free to speak my truth. And we always do. And that's what the show is all about, like a safe space to speak your truth. A safe space to divert from the stories, you know. That's how are the stories, dreadful?
Starting point is 00:09:26 Because you said yesterday, and they were like not bad. No, they weren't. So I would say these are light, like the sort of day where I didn't know which one's number one. Oh, that's like kind of a really bad indicator of, Oh, I want to say something. It's just like something I've noticed being in Florida for three days. And I like I love Instacart.
Starting point is 00:09:41 I'm their number one shopper. I do it all the time in the city. It's so different here. Like I feel that the shoppers take so much care with my order. Like I feel that they really like want me to be happy, you know? I've done like, I'm like in back to say like three orders since I've gotten here. I have one going right now. And like they're literally sending me so many pictures.
Starting point is 00:10:00 Like they don't have this, but they have this. And in New York like you get what you get and you don't get upset. And it's more speaks like the mentality of New Yorkers. They're like, seriously, go fuck yourself. You're ordering groceries from an app. Like, you'll get what you get. And they literally will not move in the store until you answer them. Like, so thoughtful here, really.
Starting point is 00:10:14 Oh, wow. I guess I'm just used to it. That's what I expect, like, from my Instaccar, because that's been my experience. I didn't know other people had it so negative. Yeah. And then, like, I met my shopper yesterday. Like, in the city, like... Do you guys get drinks?
Starting point is 00:10:28 It's kind of like a faceless, nameless thing. It is. But I was, like, chatting with him. And that also means, like, there's no accountability. Like, you don't have to look at one of it. in the eye and tell them that you got them the wrong yogurt. And no human connection. And I think it really, like, I felt so inclined to I went into the app and I increased my tip
Starting point is 00:10:41 because it was just like such a lovely man, like just connecting with me. It's all that human connection at Instacart. It really is. And I think that is a part of like small town living. A thousand percent. I'm definitely feeling the benefits of small town living over here with my Instagram. Like I love Instagram. Like I love Instagram.
Starting point is 00:10:57 She leaves the big city and she falls in love with her Instagram driver. I love it. I love it. I'm so glad. Yeah. for that sweet anecdote. Yeah, it's like something I've noticed. I, like, I feel, like, whatever I'm giving them is not enough.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Like, they're just like, they care about me so much. That's really how I feel. And you feel like you're getting all your items exactly as you wanted. And if I'm not, I know about it. Like, sometimes in New York, you order it and you're like, oh, this is someone else's order. But it's like, no, they just kind of like took liberty. Sometimes I don't even tell you that they're doing replacements. I'm telling you, let me just chat with it because I have, like, kind of an order going in right now with my friend.
Starting point is 00:11:29 Oh, he's headed. Okay, we're all good. Once I place the order, I don't check the app again. So that's your mistake. No, no, I don't have notifications on for the Instacart. Like, and that, so whatever will be will be. You're kind of like a nightmare customer. A little bit, but I'm also like, but I then don't complain if I didn't get.
Starting point is 00:11:44 And then I saw that he tried to chat to me. Right, right. He tried to chat to tell me. He tried to pull you for a shot. Yeah. No, one thing about me, I'm very open to being pulled for chats because I like want when I want. I'm very specific.
Starting point is 00:11:55 I don't even have Instagram notifications on. So I wouldn't even know. That's insane. Unless I'm like drilled in being like, I need this sour cream. Right. Right, this one specific. Right, I'm very specific. Like, you can't just get me like yogurt.
Starting point is 00:12:07 Like, I need the one yogurt that I will eat. So I'm kind of up to be glued to my phone. And that's where, like, my whole mission to become more mysterious gets a little dicey because I'm, like, chatting with my Instacart Chopper. All day long. Yeah. So did you get what you need? Everything.
Starting point is 00:12:22 What did you mean? Food. Snacks. I got chocolate rubber pretzels. Oh, yeah. Things for food, of course. Because it's never really about me. It's just better.
Starting point is 00:12:30 And, you know, things just to survive. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah, I'm hungry. Do you have breakfast? Always. I did have breakfast, but I feel that that doesn't have a bearing on the level of hunger. Like, because yesterday we sat down for lunch and we were so hungry and we were like, this is the first time we'd be eaten all day.
Starting point is 00:12:43 Like, I did have like a breakfast and a half, but I feel that that's not an indicator of how hungry I was, you know? Yeah. You don't need an excuse. I'm just wondering, like, what you had for. I had a bagel. Breakfast. Yum. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:56 It was okay. Okay. Yeah. We're not known for our bagels. You're not, but you are known for your Instacart shoppers. You can't have it all. You can't. Without further a do-to-do-do, it is time for the fast-tized stories that yet a do need to know.
Starting point is 00:13:10 And the fast five stories that you need to know are brought to you by Fashion Pass. We have been Fashion Pass Girlies for years. In case you don't remember, it is a clothing rental service that actually has cute clothes. It's a very groundbreaking service. If you know other clothing rental services, you know it can be so hard to find either clothes that are in stock or clothes that aren't fugly. With Fashion Pass, you will not have that problem. The clothes come in like new condition. It feels like you're shopping on your favorite retail site.
Starting point is 00:13:31 It's a toaster owned Toaster Run website, which we absolutely love. And they have pargy brands like literally brands that you would shop at a store right now. Farm Rio, show me your moo-mo for love and lemons, free people. They also have tons of new arrivals for fall that we are obsessed with. It's a great way to shop economically. It's a great way to keep a wardrobe kind of cycle through, so you're not making the same sweater two days in a row. And without, you know, breaking the bank or without busting open your closet. So the best part is that you get 10 items a month for $125.
Starting point is 00:13:59 It's two shipments of five items each. You could swap out your picks and you're not stuck with the same items all month long. So you don't have to basically plan your life a month in advance because we're just not doing that. So it's literally $12.50 an item if you do the math, which is really crazy. Not to mention, it's also just a better deal than any other rental service out there. And in my opinion, they have the best clothes. Like clothes that you would shop online right now. So head to fashion pass.com.
Starting point is 00:14:19 Our code toast will get you your first month of fashion pass for just $49. It's the best discount out there so all of our fellow cardboard cogeys and of course everyone else can start renting. Head to fashionpass. dot com. The code is T-O-A-S-T to get your first month of fashion pass for just $49. Today's episode is also brought to you by Roeback. The air is starting to feel like fall, which means we officially enter the phase of the year, but we want to be more comfortable at all times. But we also don't want to look like we've completely given up on life. And that's where Roback's new Aspire sets come in. It's a matching half-zip sweatshirt and pants that are so,
Starting point is 00:14:47 so dangerously soft. It's the kind of soft where you put them on and suddenly every other pair of pants you own feels really aggressive. So the pants have a very cute striped detail down the leg, very like Sue Silvestor, but in a cool girl kind of way. Sue Sylvester meets like Kendall Jenner. It gives them a really bit like a retro 90s feel that Robeck does really well. It makes the whole set feel a lot more styled and elevated. And they also have a shorts version of the Aspire set. They did it this spring.
Starting point is 00:15:08 It's sold out in a week. So everyone's obsessed with it. And now they're coming out with like a colder version, which we appreciate because the colder weather is upon us. Thank God, sweat of weather. Now that they made the fall version, it's exactly what we want to wear right now. The half-sip is very cute and flattering. The pants are very comfortable.
Starting point is 00:15:20 And the whole thing gives you a very specific look of like, yes, I'm wearing sweats, but they're nice sweats. You can wear the full set to run errands, grab coffee, or just the perfect travel. outfit. They both obviously work separately. You can just wear the half zip or the sweater on their own. Like you could put the half zip with jeans or like the pants with a t-shirt or a sweater. It's very easy, low effort, but still very chic. So we're loving everything. Fall from Roeback. We love Roebuck. We love their Bedford-Mach. If you're into like your active era, they have great bag or shorts, great sports, bras, great sets. Use code toast on Roeback for a generous 20% off
Starting point is 00:15:50 your first order through the end of this week. That's Roeback, R-H-O-B-A-C-com. The code is toast. Today's episode is also brought to you by Parallel. So Parallel is a great brand for women. We love them. We use a lot of their products. And I think if you are into supplements or if you're into vitamins or prenatals, then you know about the folic acid problem, which is a cheap synthetic form of folic acid that most drugstore prenatals use. The one type of cheap, even cardboard Kogi, would not recommend. Your body basically has to convert that folic acid to folate before it can actually use it. And a lot of people are born with this thing called that Mother FF, M-H-F-R, mother-ever variant, like 60% of women, that conversion basically doesn't happen. So you could be taking
Starting point is 00:16:34 a prenatal every single day and not be getting the folate that you need. And folate is so important, especially in pregnancy. So parallel uses methyl folate, which is an already active form of folate. There's no conversion required. There's no gene roulette. It's just the form your body can use. So literally 100% of people can take it. Why it matters is because folate is one of the most about nutrients and pregnancy for a reason. It's really foundational for early development. It's not like a nice to have upgrade thing. It's really like a fundamental thing that you need. And parallel is helping everyone. It was also just a brand that's engineered by an OBGYN. They have a panel of maternal fetal medicine doctors. It's the exact type of gap that they built the brand to close.
Starting point is 00:17:11 So all of their products for women are just like really pargy. Jackie takes their electrolytes. I take their prenatals. It's really a great brand. And their prenatals actually built by trimester, which I like. So if you're pregnant, trying or postpartum, check out parallel. And we have an exclusive code where new customers can use code toast to get 20% off their first order at parallelhealth.com slash toast. That's P-E-R-E-L-E-L-E-L-Halth.com slash toast. Today's episode is also brought to you by Squarespace, the all-on-one website platform designed to help you stand out and succeed online. Starting point is 00:18:47 or a domain. Thank you, Terp, Maine. You are most welcome. Our first story. Travis and Jason Kelsey are giving their candid reactions to Taylor Swift's new song, Cleveland. Oh. As the Cleveland boys. I saw that Kyle Ushack was on this week's episode. I thought that's what you're talking about. Oh, Kyle Ushack is on this week's episode. However, Travis and Jason discussed the new track on their episode. They said, Travis said, Cleveland is rocking right now. He's such a dab. He said shout out to Tatee for making that song, just giving the city a little more life. Then Jason shared that he and Kylie have been rocking out around the house to the track. He said
Starting point is 00:19:25 that song is incredible. Kylie and I have been listening to it so much. There's just something about it that makes you feel real good. It's a great song. Well, that must be nice for Kylie and Jason to be able to listen to a song about Travis. That's not about his penis. I imagine they couldn't rock out around the house to wood. So this is great for them and the family. I... But she did. She like made that her Instagram bio and like... Yeah, like a Japanese... Like a red... Yeah, making fun of the of like basically calling Jace's penis small. Huge. Oh.
Starting point is 00:19:54 I think she was calling it huge. That's she was calling it small. Oak tree. Oh, that joke went over my head, but okay. Right? What kind of tree is that still her bio? Definitely not. Because what kind of tree did Taylor describe Travis's penis as?
Starting point is 00:20:11 I think Kelsey. Let's get to the bottom. Oh, big fan of Japanese maples. Yeah, I feel like a Japanese maple is really small. I don't think so. Japanese maple tree. Let's see. Yeah, it's like a bonsai. Oh, well, I'm seeing mixed signals like in terms of a picture. I think they're big.
Starting point is 00:20:28 It's a small, slow-growing ornamental. Funny, funny. It's delicate, hand-shaped leaves and brilliant seasonal colors. That is funny. And it's still her bio. I like that. That is funny, but so random. Yeah. Okay, I'm glad, like, that's really funny. So they did get in on the wood joke. But I don't think that they could, like, stream it, you know, as much as their heart's desire.
Starting point is 00:20:53 Yeah, but Cleveland is cute. It must be fun to be, like, from such a random place, like Cleveland. Like, that's random. It's just not like, you know, New York, Illinois, Chicago, Boston. And, like, now there's, like, a Taylor Swift song about it. Like, and they're so proud of where they're from. This is exciting. Cleveland Heights.
Starting point is 00:21:06 I do feel like Cleveland people are happy people as, you know, we discussed in Liz Lemon, like. Yes, right. When you're having a Cleveland Day. When I'm having Cleveland Day. Like, Lemon, everyone wants to move to Cleveland. But then in the episode where Lemon actually does move to Cleveland, it's not all it's cracked up to me because she kind of yearns to be like a miserable New Yorker, which I totally relate to. Yeah, yeah. Cleveland has a lot of lore, all's to say. I've been to Cleveland.
Starting point is 00:21:32 Have I? In my mind, I have in my dreams. Yeah, but I actually have in the real world, which is cool. And what did you find? So I was in Columbus, Ohio. And I think I was also in Cleveland, yeah. I found it to be extremely charming. The land of the cleave. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:48 I did a couple of shows and I remember thinking it's a nice place You could live there I pretty much liked everywhere that I went Yeah It's not like I went somewhere and like literally hated it Let me think I don't want to start with you people
Starting point is 00:22:02 Oh I did not enjoy my time In the Pacific Northwest, thank you so much Actually I did like Seattle Like I see I didn't want to live there I didn't want to live there But I saw like why it has like lore and hype And it was cool like yeah Portland was definitely the only place I went to
Starting point is 00:22:23 where not only did I not want to live there I never wanted to return. And I know that we have listeners in Portland and that must be difficult for you to hear it. But I do feel that... That must be difficult for you. Period. I do feel that people from Portland,
Starting point is 00:22:35 specifically people who listen to the show, like they know. They know that they're in trouble. And I ended up near the, what was it called the Chaz? Yeah. Or was it chop? No, I know it ended in a Z because it was something, something zone. Chas, there was two zones in the PNW at one point.
Starting point is 00:22:51 Yeah, it's like a very politically active climate. And I think a lot of, I think a lot of the, it's a politically active climate. Yeah, but it is. And I think a lot of people who like live there are like really passionate about random, not ran, I'm like different. And so when I was there, they were kind of, there was a trend of people. It was like, like, um, like anti-authority establishment.
Starting point is 00:23:14 So they sort of like moved onto the streets and created. these like lawlessness zones. Save to say I like really got out of there as quickly as I could. But yeah, they wanted me to be their mayor and the Chaz. And I said, guys, I can't. Obviously I like the establishment. Well, I have my problems with it, of course. But you want to live within the framework.
Starting point is 00:23:34 But I like the rules. Yeah. I like the framework. Exactly. I'm sort of like a framework type of gal. That's where we sort of differed. Understood. Peacefully.
Starting point is 00:23:42 But that is the only place I went and didn't like. Okay. Yeah. That's how I remember it. No, you're right. Thank you for reminding me. I can't believe I went to Portland. Like, that's insane.
Starting point is 00:23:50 That's insane. And it was like, it was a long trip because I did Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver. I did a leg. Yeah. And so I was not home for a really long time. Um, and it started in Portland. It went Portland, Seattle, Vancouver. Started Portland.
Starting point is 00:24:02 I'm sorry, it also started in LA. That's where. The leg. Yeah, the leg. Yeah. Other places in California? I can't remember. Definitely.
Starting point is 00:24:11 It's a big state. I don't remember being. I did San Francisco and San Diego, but I think that might have been a separate trip. Got it. Got it. Yeah. Also say the Cleveland's dites are liking Cleveland. Well, that's good because the song is pretty much for you.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Oh, you guys, I have an update. Like Babylon is my favorite song, maybe ever. Yeah, I know. I think I listened to it in the car seven times yesterday. Me too. And then this morning I listened like... I'm trying not to listen to it on repeat one because I don't want to ruin it. Then you'll start to hate it, yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:37 But I love it. I love it. It got me on like a Taylor Swift vault track kick. This morning I did all of 1989, which, which is seriously like some of the best music ever made. I do that all the time. It's insane. And then I had forgotten about the vault track
Starting point is 00:24:52 that like is so beautiful. When Emma falls in love, is that what it's called? Yeah, about Emma Stone. Like that song is so, if somebody ever wrote a song like that about me, I would die. I feel like Emma Stone like doesn't talk about it enough because if that were me like I would not stop talking about it. Yeah, I don't even know if I know that one.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Emma met a boy with eyes like a man. Turns out the world fits right in the palm of his hands. It's about Andrew Garfield And her, which like, obviously Maybe that's why she doesn't talk about it as much as I would Because it's like this heartbreak But it's a sweetest song It's like literally the nicest things you could say
Starting point is 00:25:26 About someone all in a song That's so nice. Yeah I listened to a little TTPD after Because I was just trying to like Get the vibes Babylon is very TTPD And I do feel like it sounds so familiar
Starting point is 00:25:38 I'm trying to like figure out which song That they all sound really familiar Yes Like all your favorite artists have a sound You know? Worst The Eagles song noise.
Starting point is 00:25:46 Sounds the same. Absolutely. All John Mayer's songs are like sounding the same. John Mayor at the sphere. John Mayor at the sphere. We're talking about it. We're talking about it. Like we kind of want to go to Las Vegas.
Starting point is 00:25:57 I mean, you know I love Vegas. I've been planting seeds like within the family. Olivia was like extremely down. Your husband was so down. He's been wanting to see the Wizard of Oz at the sphere. So I'm like, okay, I'll go with you to that if you come with me. Like I think unfortunately. I'm always down.
Starting point is 00:26:08 Yeah, I wasn't worried about you. Like I stay with a bagpacked for Vegas. But it's like it's going to be a big thing. Like I think we all kind of need to start planning now. Like I really want to go, even though I feel like I would get dizzy in the sphere. Me for sure. Yeah, look, I don't think you can go. I won't.
Starting point is 00:26:21 I'll babysit. Yeah, okay, fine. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, that's perfect. I don't want to go to the sphere. I want to go to Vegas. Yeah, right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Viva, Las Vegas. Viva, Las Vegas. Vegas would be like a good theme for Dancing with the Stars, like, night. Better than Yacht Rock. I also think last night's episode was boring because, like, the music was not compelling. I knew most of the songs, like, yacht rock is supposed to be, like, background music. Like, it was not vibey.
Starting point is 00:26:47 It wasn't hyping me up at all. Put a pin in it. I'm not responding to those charges. Oh, my God. Okay. Because it's only three. Number two. How about this?
Starting point is 00:26:56 Because, like, this is supposed to be an equal partnership. How about next week we try it? First. Number one? Yeah. Okay. Okay. Sure.
Starting point is 00:27:01 Someone to remind us next week. Our next story, Verity premiered in New York last night. Ann Hathaway, pregnant on the carpet, Dakota Johnson, and more. I really feel bad for Ann Hathaway.
Starting point is 00:27:13 Like, I know she's doing this all by, choice but like I really want her to lay down yeah it's getting to a point you know she's got an amazing clip of her which one someone was like how are you like are you okay like you look and she was like I'm completely fine like there are a lot of pregnant women who like don't get their nails done in their hotel room this morning that the studio paid for she was like I'm completely fine stop worrying about me and I was like oh okay worry about the pregnant traffic cops yeah exactly so that's exactly what she was saying
Starting point is 00:27:37 the pregnant traffic cop she did not want one ounce of like but even though like I just still feel for her like I know she's tired mostly because obviously being a traffic cop or like it's not a physically laborious job that she does but like those dresses the corsets it's the underground it's the shoes and nobody feels sorry for you correct because you're like an actress yeah but i think if she didn't want to go like she doesn't have to go to everything so i feel like she does have to go to the verity premiere she's anne hathaway yeah how far along you think she is she looks full term yeah like i think it's gonna be a few weeks I think so.
Starting point is 00:28:13 She looks great. She does. And what's crazy is like in this movie, her and Dakota are twins, right? That's the point. But like now Dakota's Taylor's twin. Yeah, I know. Who are Anne Hathaway and Taylor twins? No.
Starting point is 00:28:24 That's what's confusing. I know. Dakota has a lot of twins. Maybe she's the chameleon. I think that I'm like so ripe to see Verity. One, because I read the book and loved it. But too, like I sort of, I remember like the framework of the book. I know there's like a big twist at the end.
Starting point is 00:28:36 The details. But like I don't really remember like is she awake? Like I don't remember 100%. Is Dakota Johnson like going crazy? I don't know. So I'm sat for the, for the cinematic premiere. Yeah, and I do think it will be like
Starting point is 00:28:52 Gone Girl. When the book was so, the book was so amazing, no, no, no, no, in terms of, the book was so amazing, like, broke records, everything. Verity is like literally the biggest book ever. And then the movie was amazing. And I think that could happen here. Yeah, Dakota Johnson, like, does have, like,
Starting point is 00:29:08 a bad picker for films. Like, I would say that not every, movie she chooses is guaranteed to be a good one. Anne Hathaway, though, like, pretty much does guarantee that... No flops. No flops. So... No flops to speak of. I can't really speak to, like, Josh Hartnett's discography, because I've only seen Pearl Harbor, and that was, like, actually 30 years ago. But it was a good one.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Great one. I feel confident because of Anne Hathaway, but I'm a little doubtful of, like, Madam Webb. Remember that? Okay, but for every Madam Webb, there's how to be single. You love that movie. Fucking love that movie. And that's, like, why I know and like Dakota Johnson, because I never saw 50 Shades. And 50 Shades is a good objectively. It's a script you say yes to every time. They just did a bad job because they hated each other and it was like not shipworthy for the biggest romance ever. Yeah and it was supposed to be someone else right?
Starting point is 00:29:54 Not him. Charlie Hunnam. Yeah. I think they were both miscast. Well it is I hate to you know go down my rabbit hole but it is really crazy that Dakota Johnson got that role. Never acted a day in her life. Nobody ever heard of her. Two like megastar parents gets the big. It's, didn't end up being like what twilight was but it was supposed to be like this enormous it was pretty successful but it was supposed to be this like it was culture shifting but for some reason like it just doesn't stick well e movie we love they are paying their bills they love that movie it is always on any like say they love it
Starting point is 00:30:27 and it was just cheap rice 1,000% any like clip i've seen of it it's because it was on e movies we love yeah okay next story we actually are talking about this again because new details have emerged i've been sent this 1,000 times uh i have been sent this Send this to Jackie. So just so you guys know, I've seen this, Dove Cameron's wedding was officiated by Kenny Ortega, who is the greatest director of our time and the director of descendants. Friends.
Starting point is 00:30:52 And obviously a close personal friend, and I would say mentor of dubs. And I know you sort of historically dislike when people have like non-religious figures or non-authority figures, not serious figures, celebrities. I know you didn't like when Adam Sandler did Taylor's wedding. This is like a pet peeve of yours. Yes.
Starting point is 00:31:10 So how do you sort of grapple with the pet peeve and your two favorite people? I would say that Kenny Ortega is a religious figure and an authority figure. And he falls into like the few celebrities that I will accept as a wedding officiant. Who else? Andy Cohen. Yeah. Chris Harrison. They're going to say Chris Jenner.
Starting point is 00:31:30 I thought, I'm thinking about Chris Jenner, but it's too sticky. And like, let her just have a cocktail and sit in the house. She doesn't want to officiate your wedding. Yeah. That was embarrassing. So I would say there are a couple of things. like almost host-like people who they host and that's their job. And so it doesn't bother me when they officiate a wedding.
Starting point is 00:31:46 And I will put Kenny Ortega in that category because he's like a serious professional. And I think I don't know much about their relationship, but I would say he's probably like what took a paternal role in her life, like as this young girl on the Disney Channel. Yes. And of course, when you think of the Disney Channel and like child actors, you think negative.
Starting point is 00:32:01 You think the worst. And it's so nice to see that of everyone in the world that she chose him, that even if she might have a complication, complicated relationship with her business past. She loves Kenny. Yeah. And we don't even give, because we give Kenny a lot of credit, right?
Starting point is 00:32:16 Like for creating actually like some of the most amazing works of art in our time. And what we don't give them enough credit for it because like we shouldn't credit people for just like not being pedophiles is like not a singular allegation. Not a toxic workplace, not an inappropriate touch. And I hate to, you know, pat someone on the back for not being like a criminal pedophile. But in this day and age. It's a huge win. To be like a huge figure in kids. He's basically like what Dan Schneider was to Nickelodeon.
Starting point is 00:32:43 In children's entertainment. And to not have like a singular sort of mark against you. And I'll say beyond that, not even nothing against him. On every movie that he's worked on and every project that's not really where we've heard. Yeah. It's not even like there's allegations around. He doesn't hire bad people. As far as we know in everything that we've heard like high school musical, we've not heard.
Starting point is 00:33:07 Bad things about descendants have not heard. Dirty dancing. Dirty dancing. I think there's a couple other things people are always sending me that he directed. It's that time of year where we pull up Kenny Ortega's IMDB to see what else besides High School musical he has done. I think he did like Michael Jackson's tour. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:26 Like that's not really where he knows. And you know what? I know what? That sort of goes against like what we just said. Oh, that is really true, Jackie. But you know what? I just don't want to like go down that path. Hocus pocus.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Descendants. Oh, your favorite show, my crazy ex-girlfriend. He directed one episode. Who remembers Bunheads? I remember it. I didn't watch it. Cheetah Girls. Would Cheetah Girls, Cheetah Sisters. And Montana, Best of Both Worlds Concert.
Starting point is 00:33:54 Oh my God, he also directed 12 episodes of Gilmore Girls. Allie McBeal. Like, where is his Lifetime Achievement Award? He definitely has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, right? He got a Rocky Horror Picture Show. He did a lot of Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, like, specials made for TV. He's like literally the, him and Jane Lynch should get married, the hardest working man and woman in Hollywood. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:16 And to know that like all is well. And Dove is so like alt now. Mm-hmm. So like, and Kenny's kind of corny. Yeah. And that she still chose him. Her mainstream king. Her mainstream main skin king.
Starting point is 00:34:27 What do you think the main skin guy and Kenny like got to chatting about? I think the love of music. It's true. It's sort of a universal language. And you know what? Eurovision is very Kenny coded. 1,000%. Even though like Mainskins aesthetic
Starting point is 00:34:40 within Eurovision wasn't. 1,000% but you still went on Eurovision. It's true. Like just like Dove is descendants. And maybe that connects them. Like oh, we have this like corny thing in our past. Right. But it was a beautiful wedding.
Starting point is 00:34:53 It was. She looked great. And I just, I thought that was really beautiful. And you can mark me as having known now knowing that Kenney officiated. And I've been meaning to bring this up because like a lot of people want to get to you. through me, especially like people, because you know, I don't know if I mentioned this yesterday. I have 400,000 followers on TikTok.
Starting point is 00:35:10 And so they'll like tag me, send this to Jackie. They send you stuff on TikTok. I'm sorry, that's happening. And the thing is, is like, I've probably already shown it to her. And two, like, I'm just not doing that. I'm like very lazy. So I feel that that Jackie's, that's why I'm saying, like, I'm too accessible.
Starting point is 00:35:29 I'm too reachable. I need you guys to start just like sending that shit to Jackie. Yeah, but don't like send me. a link to a TikTok because the link doesn't populate in Instagram and then you just send me a bunch of letters. There's no good way to send someone to TikTok. There's no way to send someone to TikTok who's not like in the app. So I understand like
Starting point is 00:35:45 why people are doing it. And you must, it's frustrating. My phone was blowing up last night. I was like, oh, I'm going viral. Let's go. Everyone's probably talking about how beautiful and skinny I am. Send this to Jackie. Carl, I already did. And I've seen it on Reels. Yeah. If it's on TikTok, it's probably on Reels. So find it there and send it to me.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Or it will be in like in due time. Reels is keeping up these days. I would say there's a few days delay. It used to be like actual weeks. Well, I don't even know what you're like, what are you talking about days delay? Like viral videos. Yeah, like sometimes you'll send me like a funny like, you know,
Starting point is 00:36:15 mama hood. Yeah. And it's like I did see it a few days ago. Okay. Fair. But it's also not fair because I see everything. Ben shows me a video. I'm like I've seen it.
Starting point is 00:36:24 Like I am disgusting brain rot. Like Ben every time. Sometimes I'll just say I've seen it because I don't want to watch whatever videos she's showing me. But like for the most part I have seen it. And he looks at me. He's like, you're crazy. Like how have you seen that?
Starting point is 00:36:35 He's like, it's only an hour old. I saw it an hour ago. That's funny. Yeah. I'm like a garbage receptacle for content. But maybe that should be part of your like less available campaign to be less available. It would just be more helpful. Like if I was genuinely less available, you know, but I'm not.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Yeah. I'm just always available. Ready, willing and able. I'm willing and able. There goes my voice again. I heard a lot of like a lot of people explain. to me like why your singing voice becomes bad. One, like your lungs are compressed, just due to all the things going on in your body.
Starting point is 00:37:10 Two, of course, there's like a hormone that comes for your singing voice. Relaxed. It's the same way, like, my laughing voice changes. Yeah. Just dealing with a lot. Yeah. Good thing it's not your trade. Imagine you were, like, on a tour.
Starting point is 00:37:23 Yeah. And actually, now's the perfect time to bring up Kelly Clarkson's singing piece by piece on American Idol, nine months pregnant. Very impressive that she was able to do that. Mm-hmm. Very impressive. Are you ready for our fourth story? Mm-hmm. Maricio Umanski
Starting point is 00:37:36 Reveals he's considering running for mayor of Los Angeles as an independent. Okay. Maricio Umanski joined, what was he on, live with Kelly and Mark and said, I am considering...
Starting point is 00:37:49 Oh, that's an interesting get for him. Like, who was Marcio Umansky to Kelly Rippa? He just does a little bit of everything. He's on special forces. Oh, that's why. Okay, thank you. So then he's on Kelly and Mark and said, I'm considering running for mayor of Los Angeles.
Starting point is 00:38:02 He says he's a registered independent and hopes to bring businesses back to us. LA. He said, we need to take care of our people. There's so many things to do in LA. It's one of the greatest cities in the world without question. It's a huge metropolis and we need to take care of it. We need to take care of crime. We need to take care of homelessness. We need to do all that stuff, but we need to bring business back. And I think if we're able to bring business back, we're able to, you know, do the rest. Has he been here for the last year? Well, the thing is, is obviously Maria Taly Manski, you're extremely hot and Jewish. You have my vote. But I feel that you're not
Starting point is 00:38:32 really paying attention because many have come and gone to try and do exactly what you said. Business, I think the people in LA like like the homelessness. They like the crime. They like the status quo. They like their people like Karen Bass. Spencer tried to save them. Rick Caruso. He spent 40 million of his own dollars.
Starting point is 00:38:49 Maricio, don't do this. Seriously don't bother because then like you just become like a political figure. You're very divisive either way. Like people love you and hate you. And it's like you come from a franchise where like even though you haven't even behaved well, like people love you. Like why would you give up that sort of adoration to get into politics? Just to lose.
Starting point is 00:39:04 Just to be honest. Not even about that. Like don't waste your money. You're not going to win. Yeah. Nobody could have run a better campaign than Spencer Pratt. It's true. He had a lot of like wind behind him.
Starting point is 00:39:12 He went on Joe Rogan. No, but not even like people are saying the way he ran his campaign like will actually change the way political campaigns are run like from like with AI and everything. And like he had everything at his back. He had so many like endorsements from people across the aisle and really came at it from like just a an angelian point of view. A very like earnest play, if you will. I really don't know what could have been done better than the way that he did it.
Starting point is 00:39:40 And Rick Crusoe as well is also like a huge figure. Gwyneth Paltrow endorsed, like lots of big people. Like a lot of celebrities. I saw celebrities both who are known to be like Democrats and Republicans. So it's like not even about that. Why would you waste your time and your money doing this when it can be done? And I also feel that Maricio actually has like a lot of opportunity. Outside of being like a very successful real estate mogul, which he is,
Starting point is 00:39:59 he has that Netflix show he does a little bit of housewives he's now on special forces it's like why is that not enough and he has a huge business huge family too yeah no but sink your money into this yeah like bad idea I feel like he's like soft launching it like do not come do not come yeah he said if I do it it have to be for the next race and start prepping for it and start prepping my business for it start prepping my life for it and then you run seriously don't do not like we just I think I've seen this film before. It's true.
Starting point is 00:40:32 And I didn't like the ending. It's true. And I've given up. Even though like outside of that, like Marie, when we talk about like celebrities who go into politics, like, yeah, why not Maricio Yomansky, like businessman to the stars? Yeah. But no. Another city.
Starting point is 00:40:44 Yeah. Try Portland. Try Portland. Maricio Yomansky. We're having a, um, what's the word? Protest? No, no. Like a, when you like have a campaign like rally?
Starting point is 00:40:58 Yeah. Running a campaign fundraising rally event for Maricio Mansee at the Chaz in Portland. Let me know if you guys can come. You'll definitely win. Our fifth and final story, Dancing with the Stars recap last night. was yacht rock night. Bad theme.
Starting point is 00:46:51 But it was all like presented by a sponsor. Oh, what was with the mock tales? Yeah, and there was like a sponsor floating around the episode. So I feel like it was like meant to tie in this sponsor. But it should have been like Carnival Cruises. Yeah, but I just feel like the level of like sponsorship integrations is like really not premium. Do you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:47:09 This is like one of the most watched shows on TV. Like even the Paris baguettes stuff. Like it just feels so branded. Like and Julian like shoving a cocktail in everyone's face. Like it was just weird. Yeah, I don't know what the mocktails were about. Me either. I don't want to drink something blue.
Starting point is 00:47:22 No, especially they're all like out of breath. Yeah, right, sweating. They said this blue cura sow. Yeah. I'm good. So I didn't like the theme and I felt like I was kind of bored by the episode because of the music. Like no pussy poppers, you know? But I like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:47:38 I don't like, I don't like, I don't know. Is that your genre of choice? No, I don't mind it. I think that's the point. That's the point of yonra. It's just like pleasant music. You sort of know the two. everyone, we're on a yacht and we're rocking out.
Starting point is 00:47:49 For me, it was, like, hard for anyone to have, like, a big moment because, like, there wasn't, like, big music. Mm-hmm. Well, let's get into the dances. First, we had Amber Glenn with Pasha Pashkov. They did really well, and they got a 24, and they just, like, do nothing for me. I guess she, like, broke his nose. Oh, that was crazy.
Starting point is 00:48:05 That happened sometimes where, like, you injure the pro. Like, seriously, neighbor's feeling. And I just feel like he was really mad. I get the vibe, like, he's not there. You could tell one, like, I feel like, Britt and Taylor Hanson, like, really loved each other. They had, like, a real friendship connection. I feel like Pasha and Amber are like just partners. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:21 Like that's it. I don't think they hate each other. I don't think they have a singular connection. Yeah. So when he got his nose broke by her, he was like, okay. And she felt so bad. It was so awkward. I felt like I wasn't even there and I felt so awkward.
Starting point is 00:48:34 Yeah. I was like, I'd rather like break my own nose than. Yeah, I have to do that. And like feel so bad. Now I loop her in with like Harry Shem Jr. And Jenna Dewan about like people who are doing so good and make me feel nothing. Actually, spoiler alert. I won't say who.
Starting point is 00:48:46 somebody from that group actually really impressed me last night. So we'll talk about that shortly. But Amber Glenn, like, great. You did an amazing job. I don't care. Next, Julia Stiles with Ezra Sosa. They did a salsa. I thought she was amazing.
Starting point is 00:48:59 Yeah. Well, she had a lot to prove because she had like a bad week last week. And fighting an injury. And she did really good. Yeah. What's also interesting to me, I was looking at up. So I was saying how like Julia Stiles is similar to Tatiana Ali, how they're like, you know, former TV stars who are now in their 40s.
Starting point is 00:49:15 And Jenna Dewan is the same age as them And she's also like a former, you know, iconic movie That's now like in her 40s dancing And it's actually interesting that they cast three women Who are essentially like the same archetype That's what I'm saying I thought you're gonna say like three women in their 40s Because like once you turn 40 in Hollywood
Starting point is 00:49:31 There's no jobs for you. And that's what I was saying about like inclusivity on the show Like it's not corny, it's not performative Like yeah, there's three women in their 40s Like how many women in their 40s There's Guillermo and there's Ezra? Like how many people can say that? Yeah
Starting point is 00:49:41 How many TV shows can say that? Yeah And it's not like being shoved down your face Like we're being inclusive. Like, no, you just are. No, I had to look up their agent. Yeah, right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:49 Why do they keep introducing Jen and Dewan as the star of the rookie? Like, we're supposed to know what that is. That's their show. It's ABC? They're promoting the rookie. Yeah, because they keep saying like Harry Shum starved Grey's Anatomy. Like, we know Grey's Anatomy. Star of the rookie.
Starting point is 00:50:01 They want us. Gilmore girls. Like, what is it? They want us talking about the rookie. So there you go. Now they're going to keep saying it. Okay. Not the toast talking about the rookie.
Starting point is 00:50:06 Okay. Then we have Guillermo and Whitney. They did their Foxshot. They scored a 15. Guillermo made a declaration at the end that he is dancing for the people. Which I appreciated because, like, I'm really, they can skip, I know they're always short for time.
Starting point is 00:50:20 Like, you can skip the judge's criteria of Guillermo. I'm not interested because it's not about the technicality and maybe people will say that's not fair. We are all working within, like, their limits. And I think for, like, what he's capable of, he's doing an amazing job and his, like, leaning so much on his personality. I could not love him anymore.
Starting point is 00:50:39 Me neither. I texted Guillermo to 2-1553 before he even danced. Oh, I wait. until they dance, you know, but I texted 10 times. I want him to win the mirror ball. Like, I want him to be in the finals. And it's so nice because I feel like up until Andy Richter, it's like if you got like the old slow dude, like,
Starting point is 00:50:57 that stinks. No, like you knew your season was going to be cut short. Yeah. And you're like, it's just a bummer. But like these two guys have really turned that on their heads where it's like, it's actually an advantage. It's an opportunity. Yeah. And they're like getting by and doing less.
Starting point is 00:51:10 And it's like you used to just be written off immediately. but now you're like someone to contend with. Yeah. If given the right pro who like really showcases and the person is down to like show up, people really like to Andy's packages. Like his personality was so funny. Nobody knew him before. Nobody knew him before.
Starting point is 00:51:24 At least like Jimmy Kimmel, the ABC people like they know Guillermo. It is an opportunity for a pro to like do something with the person. So I feel like it also really speaks like Whitney and Emma. Yeah. For like the TikToks and everything. No. And it's like just because you have like the older slower. Gentleman.
Starting point is 00:51:39 cast man or woman, like it could actually be an advantage. Yes, it can. It's exciting. It is. Then we have Tatiana Ali and Jan Rovnik. They did amazing. I felt like I watched a completely different person. Well, first of all, she's like having that transformation. She looks insane. It's only three weeks. She literally so toned. One. Two, it was so amazing. I feel like they're best friends. Like kind of an unlikely duo, you know. I watch all of their social media. Like, they have the best time together. She's so good. I feel like she's just a person who was like a decent dancer.
Starting point is 00:52:09 And she is the definition of this show. Like she is getting better every week. I feel like by the end, if she continues to like be saved, she'll have like a major moment, like a dance. I love her. Yeah. And every time in her packages, she just like keeps opening up and being honest.
Starting point is 00:52:22 Like that's what I'm looking for. Yeah. Like I, not her being my favorite. I couldn't even, I might not even even been able to place her before the show was announced. That's why it really is sort of an eating playing field. Like just because you're the most famous.
Starting point is 00:52:33 True. Because you're the most physically fit or the best dancer. Like it's so many other factors. And someone that I didn't even know. before who's not the best answer there is my favorite. I love her. Yeah. Then Harry Shum Jr.
Starting point is 00:52:45 with Jenna Johnson, they performed a jive with hats and they got a 24. So you're making my dream come true. They acknowledged a little bit that they're getting hate. She said something to the effect of she feels like he's being penalized because he is already a dancer. And I don't know if she's saying that like towards the judges or the audience, but like they are very much hated. by the audience.
Starting point is 00:53:11 And it's not because you're a dancer. Because now I wanted, I want a Jordan Fisher. I'm looking for that. I want some good dancing. I don't like watching you dance. Yeah, I'm so unmoved by everything they do. His packages bore me to tears. Even he brought Kurt Hummel to the ballroom and like, I barely moved, you know?
Starting point is 00:53:33 I don't know what it is about them because there's a lot of politics within the real inner circle of Dancing with the Stars about like Jenna and Val being like favorites and all the other pros hating them like I don't care about any of that that's not why I feel the way that I feel like I'm just bored yeah oh I don't yeah I'm not in I'm a fan of Dancing with the Stars but I'm not in like pro no I guess like Britt has always said that like her dream partner is harry shum junior yeah but then people clocked this that when they were eliminated last night julie and thankfully said like that Taylor requested Britt as his partner and that's why they were partnered together So maybe Britt had always wanted Harry, but they put him with Britt.
Starting point is 00:54:12 So it wasn't a snub or anything like that. Yeah. And you know what I'm glad Britt didn't get Harry because like everyone's hating Harry. So she doesn't need hate. But she's off the show. Yeah, which we'll talk about. Then we have Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart. So I saw people like so upset about this, like in disbelief.
Starting point is 00:54:26 When it was like clear to me that he was the one going home, he not only like, he just wasn't getting better. And like somebody has to go home. Do you know what I mean? And I feel like of the people who might have been in contention to go home, the people who had been consistently in the bottom. Like, everybody kind of stepped their pussies up last night, except for him. Yeah, I feel like there are a couple people who are on the edge of going home, and it's just a matter of like in which order based on scores.
Starting point is 00:54:47 And he was one of them. He's one of them. I think Jackson Olson is one of them. It kills me to say, I think Tyler Cameron is one of them. No, not my king. He did so good last night. I love him. I know.
Starting point is 00:54:56 I thought he did great. He didn't get good scores. And by the way, I thought his scores were so unfair. His scores were insane. I thought he did great. He had like a very lovely. They didn't put him in the bottom, which was, I think, like, a way for him. I thought he was in the bottom last week.
Starting point is 00:55:08 His scores were worse this week, and then they let him, like, go second. The scoring was off last night because Tyler got, like, criminally low scores, and so did Tatiana. Like, she should have gotten eights like Amber. She got sevens. I don't think she should have gotten eight.
Starting point is 00:55:20 I do. I don't think she should have gotten eights, and I don't think there was anything wrong with her score, but I feel like she was completely safe. She had a good score for the rest of them. Then Mora and Mark, they did a quick step. They got a 22. She's amazing.
Starting point is 00:55:32 She's a joy to watch, and I feel like by the end we can maybe have a Jordan Fisher moment. Yeah, she's a joy to watch. Watch. Her packages, too. She's so funny. She's an amazing personality. She's so bubbly and smiley. Like, she's made for this. And her and Mark are best friends. Like, I just love their packages. I love everything they do. Yeah. It's really, she's a great, fun dancer. I feel like she has a style of her own.
Starting point is 00:55:51 Yes. I agree. She's like a little fairy floating on the dance floor. Yeah. It's really cute. Then Sierra Miller and Brandon Armstrong, they performed a cha-cha, and they scored an 18. I don't really remember. I feel like her scores were low. She was Karma Brown. Oh, right, right, right, right. That's funny, like, for the fans. I feel like I was also thinking that I wish they had done a better job explaining Karma Brown. It was very inner circle.
Starting point is 00:56:12 It is. The ABC people, like, this is such a big show. Bravo's like low key, not small, but it's niche. And so I wish that they had explained like the lore a little bit better because it's really funny. And it was just like, what is this? Who's karma? For those of us who know, like we were happy to see her. Agreed.
Starting point is 00:56:25 It was great. It was great. And I think Sierra loves being her and like a fun side of her concept. I was going to say she definitely came out of her shell. She was like fun and confident. And the dance like wasn't. There was room for. improvement. Their scores weren't amazing. Yeah. But I feel like it was a good night for them in the
Starting point is 00:56:41 sense that they weren't in the bottom. And no one was worried about them going home. And she's definitely improving. But I feel that like of the people that are improving, some people are just making like bigger leaps than her. But every week is better than the next was. Which is really all you can ask for. Yeah. That to a certain point and then it starts. Yes. Yes. So there's still a lot of like people here that There are so many contestants that are going to leave. Like Jackson Olson and Emmys later. Yeah. Jackson Olson has been like quietly disappointing. Yeah. You know, I feel like maybe Maybe he had a strong start, and he's kind of like getting worse. And the packages aren't packaging for me.
Starting point is 00:57:12 No, no. And he seems like a really nice guy and I'm not reading against him. No, me neither. I just thought he would be so much more dazzling. Like he has so much performance experience. Dancing and singing included. And I'm just like, every week, it's like he stinks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:27 And that's not what I thought he was going to be. I thought he really had like potential to go really far. They got to turn it around. I don't think they will. I think that like he's next. Yeah, I think he's next too. then Connor Wood and Riley Arnold When I watch Connor
Starting point is 00:57:39 I get nervous like this is like I've actually met this person You know he did so good Like I was actually so nervous for him Especially yeah last week like All about improvement His hair is hilarious He had great like um He has great packages and great interviews
Starting point is 00:57:52 Like he really isn't I think very endearing to people How like he wants it like very badly But he doesn't take it too seriously I said he did a really good job I didn't find the dance was like amazing to watch But it's good enough Yeah And hopefully by the time
Starting point is 00:58:06 it needs to be amazing, I think he can get there because he's, like, very dedicated to learning and improving. Yes. He's, like, Jackson, too, a little bit, but I think he's doing better than Jackson. Yeah, except I think he's, like, naturally uncoordinated, whereas, like, Jackson is not. Yeah, and he has a music in him. Yeah, I think, like, fibula had, like, a bigger hill to climb, and he's climbing it. And, like, Jackson's, like, kind of going out. Like, Jackson scored in 18 and Connor scored a 20, so Connor is, like, technically doing better. Yeah, because I think it's, you know, scores based on your particular set of skills. But I would say their abilities are, the same based on now what I've seen. I wouldn't. I wouldn't say like their backgrounds and like
Starting point is 00:58:39 experience like no I would I would say that Connor I excuse me Jackson has a a leg up you would think but then how he showed up on day one versus I thought his day one I thought Connor's day one excuse me Jackson's day one was like good enough and like we would really sing rods too I thought we would like really see improvement with him but we haven't no whereas like Connor started like pretty like regular and he's getting better. Yeah. Then we have Jen and Duan and Val Schmerkowski. So I always say like Jenna Dewan is amazing and I don't care. I kind of cared last night. She was really good.
Starting point is 00:59:15 I thought the critique from Carrie Ann about like doing too much. It's like, girl, this is dancing with the stars. Like it was just, I was kind of like mean and unnecessary. And I thought she was amazing. It was the first time I even like looked at her. I was like, oh, yes. Like, say, Mama. I am starting to like pay attention now because of all the hate and stuff.
Starting point is 00:59:31 So I'm like, now I really want to see what it's all about. And she obviously has internalized the hate. she knows that nobody feels anything when she dances so she told the story about visiting her dad and dancing around to Africa like I guess that's like how that's a package you know that is like a point of connection yeah um but not for me it didn't like stir a lot within me but it made me want to like her it made me like want to give her a fair shot yeah and she's dancing her hard out I know and Carrienne isn't wrong it's a mean thing today and I like Derek said I do look forward to when they slow it down it's a little more drama it's a little more elegant and we can like
Starting point is 01:00:04 see. It's just like, it's. It was very cheerleader. And it's not like, I'm not connecting to it. Yeah. It was the first time I, like, I wasn't DOA watching her. Like, I felt something. And I was like, she's really good.
Starting point is 01:00:18 Yeah. And maybe she can be the one to give me my Jordan Fisher moment. Right. Right. But last night was good. It was a really good dance, but like it didn't stir anything. Yeah. But I think we'll get there.
Starting point is 01:00:30 And let's just like give her enough time to get there. Yes. Because we need great dancers on this show. I don't want to watch shite for two hours. It's true. And there was kind of like a lot of shite last night. There's a lot of shite. And we're like putting a bow on some of the shite.
Starting point is 01:00:43 Of course, because we're like contextualizing it. Like given like this person is an actor. But like I'm trying to be dazzled. And I wasn't dazzled really last night. Then Tyler Cameron and Sharnam Burgess. What did they dance to him? The Jive to Still the One. I don't remember.
Starting point is 01:00:58 That's not much nine, tween. But I thought it was adorable. I thought he did great. I thought he loved him. I thought he was light on his feet. given his size. Oh, yes, the size. That was so unfair.
Starting point is 01:01:07 He's huge. I remember the whole thing now. I thought he did great too. The footwork. I love Tyler Cameron. Like, that's my winner. Like, I really want him to go far. He got a 17, which is pretty low.
Starting point is 01:01:16 I think that's unfair. They were giving him unfair scores. I agree. I think he really did a good job, given the fact that, like, he's this enormous guy. And then they pan to, of course, his lady love. His lady love and Hannah Brown. And Hannah Brown was obviously there because she's a dancey with the star's alumnus.
Starting point is 01:01:33 But that is her ex-examination. But that is her ex. boyfriend, but like leave Hannah Brown alone. She's happily married. Yeah. And I, they, she was in the background the whole episode and like ex-friends. Because they were the quarantine crew, remember. He's engaged. She's married. Of course. I think that like maybe it's like a little awkward. But for the most part, I think they would consider each other's like friends. Yeah. And then Rachel Kirkana was like part of his crew. Interesting to see that which is like Chale Kerkeel. Because her ex is Matt James, who's Tyler Cameron's like ex best friend.
Starting point is 01:02:02 unclear where they stand today, but they became famous as best friends in this world. Matt James is only on the show, and we only know who Matt is because of Tyler. Yes, so Tyler got Richel in the divorce. Which is weird. I think so, too. What's the T? Based on vibes, like, we think Tyler and Matt also hate each other. So the enemy of the enemy is my friend, you know?
Starting point is 01:02:21 They both are the common enemy. But boys don't hate each other. I know, but I feel that Matt James and Tyler, like, hate each other. I don't think they do. I'd actually think we would be surprised to find out that they're fine. Or, like, no, or they just don't care. I bet he's not. But like Matt lives in New York now and Tyler lives in Florida and it's like, well,
Starting point is 01:02:35 my friend doesn't live here. Well, see. Does Matt show up in the ballroom? No, he probably won't. Let's say. He probably won't. Next and final, we had Ezra Fretch with Danielle Carragash. So it's Freck, by the way.
Starting point is 01:02:46 I say different every week. I'm letting you know what it is. In case you were curious. Rech. Frech. I feel that like the producers are confident in his ability to dance and move forward because he probably got 30 seconds of voting time. Like they dance and the polls close 30 seconds later.
Starting point is 01:03:02 which is so unfair. And that's how you know, there's way too many people on the show right now. He was great. I feel like, again, it speaks more to Yacht Rock. Like, I wasn't,
Starting point is 01:03:09 I feel like last week I was like, jumping out of my seat. Like, I was like, oh, that's a good dance. I didn't feel so much this week. It felt really short. Yes. But he did the Fox Trot, which, again,
Starting point is 01:03:17 they explained in his package why it will be difficult for him to do with his visibility. And I'm loving, I'm loving the explanation. And then I love when he's like, but could I do it like this? And she's like, yeah. And then we see the way that they sort of.
Starting point is 01:03:30 Rework it. rejigger the dance to be accessible for him and you're going to get my vote every time. And I know like Derek Huff when he gives his critiques. Like it's I feel actually I really relate to it because anytime someone's talking and it's like I can relate and I'm like oh yeah, that happened to me too. Yeah. And I know he's like. Yeah. Right.
Starting point is 01:03:48 It's like busting out of him. Like yeah, Amy and I did that too. And he didn't bring it up last night and I was really proud of him. But I really like I actually, I'm not even like coming for Derek. I know we have like fake beef. Like I thought he looked great. I loved his ascot. And I was like, is he going to bring it up again?
Starting point is 01:04:07 Because, like, I would. It's relevant. Yeah, it's relevant. But I'm sure he, like, is very aware of, like, not wanting to bring it up every single time. And I feel like now when I see him, like, I just feel like he's, like, thinking about what he said. I don't think so. I saw him, like, I saw him back around. Because, by the way, net net of that clip, like, we said good things about him.
Starting point is 01:04:24 And I was, I didn't say anything that I don't want him dancing. I said, why do just the Huffs get it? Like, are they different than the other pros? Well, did you see Mark's mother? Was she dancing? Mark Ballas? Yeah. I saw a backstage video of like Mark and is Shirley Ballas?
Starting point is 01:04:39 Yeah, yeah, yeah. She's like a dance person. I saw a video of them dancing. Like it looks like the intro. I was like, did I miss that? Oh. And then of course, Derek. No.
Starting point is 01:04:47 Listen, you're not baiting me. I'm not getting into it to Derek Huff. I respect Derek Huff. You guys know, like, I was joking. That joke, like, went way too far. And I'm like, you can't bait me into this conversation. No. And, you know, I'm a huge fan of the Huff.
Starting point is 01:04:59 Like, I'm not even. I know when it's like we've we've sort of been like pitted against one another well not pitted because like I did say that thing one time but I feel like people just like misunderstood it and I am sorry and like I relate to Derek like I could just you know the meme of like the kid who's trying not to cough in class with like the veins that's him trying not to bring up that he'd once time dance with Amy you know yeah yeah okay so those were the dances and then Taylor and Britt went home which was a little surprising I think Taylor has like a lot of fans he I think there are a lot of people who could have gone home last night and happened to be them which is sad because she went home early last season too she was obviously not happening. Okay, so let's talk about the alleged beef between Britt and Guillermo. Well, first, let's talk about her reaction when they said it was them. She was like, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. She looked like she was going to cry. But then she spoke.
Starting point is 01:05:40 And it didn't sound like she was going to cry, but she was very upset. And she kept saying sorry to him. But like what did she do? Nothing. I don't know. And I had seen like a montage of all the times she was eliminated. And she like always tells her partner sorry, which is like really sad. I know.
Starting point is 01:05:53 And it's not her fault. He didn't get better. Why did she snub Guillermo? What was that? Right. So then, of course, you know, when it's over, the credits roll, all the pros and the dancers and like the fans rush to the stage and hug the people who are leaving and everyone goes in for their hug. Guillermo goes in for a hug and she like literally swerves on him. So I think either it could
Starting point is 01:06:09 have just been like there's a lot going on and she's hugging me and I'm being pulled to here and I have to go. It could have been totally like explained away. But if you were to look into it like Guillermo, I think a lot of people feel that he should go home. He had the lowest scores every week since we started. And Britt went home instead of him. So like maybe she's mad at him. But like seriously, she doesn't seem like an unreasonable crazy person and that isn't unreasonable and crazy thing to feel. It's not his fault that he's older and slower. And that people like him.
Starting point is 01:06:35 And having a hard time. Yeah. I feel like if she's asked about it, she'll say, oh my God, I didn't see him. There's so much going on. But I know what I saw.
Starting point is 01:06:43 I know what I saw. And I think she just like didn't want to look at him in that moment because she probably feels like he should be going home. Yeah. But she doesn't seem like that at all. Like vindictive or like brat. Like she just seems like really nice. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:57 So I don't know, but the video was very confusing. And upsetting. Germo was sort of, like, standing there. People are like, she's not going to return next season. Which part would she be mad about? Because you have to look up every person she stands with. Like, it is shocking. Baron Davis is, like, the best of them.
Starting point is 01:07:13 I think actually this guy was the best. Britt Stewart. Partners. Partners. It's like old person after old person after old person. Johnny Weir. Oh, okay. Well, that's actually, like, really good.
Starting point is 01:07:25 Martin Pove, who's an actor who I, who I, just assume is probably older, but I've never even heard of him. I'm looking at up. Ancient old man. Yeah, but you know what? Andy Richter and Germo are ancient old men. So it's not, it's really not. Daniel Durant, who's now her husband.
Starting point is 01:07:44 Oh, yeah, the actor from Kodad. He's hard of hearing. So she should be not mad about that one. Right, because she met her husband. Adrian Peterson, who's a football player. Let's look at my. And then Baron Davis also, who is a basketball player. But how old is Adrian Peterson?
Starting point is 01:07:59 I don't think he's terribly old. But athletes aren't notoriously bad, except for, of course, Iman Schumper. They have huge, right. He's 41. That's not, then you're saying like Jenna and the gals. No, I think that like a lot of times, like, you know, when an Alex Earl or a Whitney La Jave gets cast, there are certain people who get cast who you know are going to take you to the finale. And I think that Brits never really gotten one of those.
Starting point is 01:08:25 And I think that this is just what people in the fandom say, like, Val gets those people a lot, Jenna gets those people a lot, Mark Beth gets those people a lot, even Mora. Like, Mora and who was last season? Whitney. Agreed. Who would you say of the men in this season are confirmed going to make it to the finale? That would be. Harry Shum, who is her dream partner. Okay. Which is why it felt like such a snub. Okay. And that's like literally it.
Starting point is 01:08:48 Who else is on the show? Guillermo, Harry, Jackson, Connor, Tyler, Tyler, Tyler, Tyler, Tyler. I feel it'll be a female heavy finale. And I just think that there's not anyone here that it was like, oh, they're for sure going to make it. And like that would be the best except for Harry Shum. But honestly, he's having a terrible season. And they're like the most hated couple.
Starting point is 01:09:09 When the cast was announced, there was like a lot of hate for it. And I didn't really agree. And now that we're in it, like it's not an amazing cast. Yeah. And I think also it is easier with the women. Like we know who the great women are going to be. Like you said, Whitney and you didn't say a man from last season that was going to go up like maybe a Jordan,
Starting point is 01:09:25 Fisher type. We didn't know Robert Irwin was going to be so good. And I think that it had a lot to do with Whitney. And also ABC just like wanted him to win. Of course, because he hosts the next pro and he's doing. But like this season, when you say the people who are going to be good this season, it's a lot of women who are going to be good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think with the men like do sometimes get like a clumsy old man. I do think I'd have to look at the stats, but the list of winners has to lean more women. Yeah. Joey Grazie a day. Joey Grazie. He was Jenna. Yeah. And so you would think like Tyler would be right. Joey. But like he's not, I mean, we love him. But like, he's not. I mean, we love him but like he's struggling yeah he is so i feel like there's not aside from harry
Starting point is 01:10:01 there's not there's not there's not like an obvious that she's getting snubbed like every single time because i feel like just the men no people just like her a lot and feel very defensive of her yeah and i hope next season even how she does like sign language like when she's telling people to vote like it's yeah oh i saw i love her um now i know how i know why i didn't realize that was why yes and so also i saw you like how you saw jordan fisher i saw like one of their dances where you know you don't even think about how difficult it is to dance with no music if you can't hear. So they did their dance. And I think like an iconic part of their journey was that like in the middle of the dance. Like she cuts the music and they dance silently just like sort of reflect like what he's hearing.
Starting point is 01:10:35 Man, I was chilling. I watched it this morning. It was really beautiful. And then the music comes back and like they finished and people were like screaming their heads off. And then they got married. That's really cute. It's really cute. That's what I mean when I say like it's not corny inclusivity. Like that's so cute. Like that's real. That's real. And it's like yeah. I didn't even think about like being a heart heart-of-hearing person trying to choreograph a dance. Yeah. I guess you just have to think like one, two, three, like the whole time, like in numbers. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:00 If you were on Dancing with the Stars, who would you want your partner to be? Mark, because obviously he gets like favoritism and I need favoritism because I'm going to stink. I think that like we would like vibe personality-wise. Mm-hmm. You think? Yeah. After traitors? But the thing is everyone liked him on traitors.
Starting point is 01:11:20 Like he was kind of like this affable, like good personality kind of guy. So yeah, I think I would like him. Okay. Who else? Like, not Belle, not Pasha. Ezra? Oh, I would like Ezra. I think we'd have a good time and we make lots of good TikToks.
Starting point is 01:11:34 Jan Rovnik. Oh, I also would like Jan. With the Taylor's way. Of course. Mark Brandon. I don't really know a lot about Brandon. I know his wife, because she comes up on my TikTok all the time. Yeah, I see.
Starting point is 01:11:46 But I don't know his lore, like, at all. And then Val. Yeah, I don't think I would want to be with Val. Too much pressure. Like, Mark is the most pressure. No, no, have you ever seen, like, those, I'm now on, like, DWTS archival TikTok.
Starting point is 01:11:59 Max, the brother, like, abusing people. Like, he used to be so fucking crazy. Like, have you seen the one where he, like, rips his microphone off? Like, it's really scary. I forget who the, was it brandy, maybe. And I just feel like that, I don't want to be around that kind of energy.
Starting point is 01:12:14 You think Val is, like, Maxim? I don't think that he is, but I think maybe he has potential to be. And there's a lot of, like, former pros that I now see around, like even Lindsay Arnold with Yes, with her TikTok day in life. No, and because I saw the Jordan Fisher.
Starting point is 01:12:28 Oh, oh yeah. And then I actually just saw an ad that Maxim and Petridan. They were dancing and putting on lotion. Of course, I hope they were dancing. It was very compelling ad, advertisement for lotion. And it makes me, like, want to know more about them.
Starting point is 01:12:41 Yeah, so if you do want to, like, go in on the lore, like there's so much because you know, like, Emma used to be married. Emma's dating Alan now, who got out. Who was his partner? Oh, Giata. Yeah. I can be with Alan.
Starting point is 01:12:53 I can be with Alan too. I can be with Alan. I feel like Alan's someone like we went to camp with. He's like some Jewish. Alan Bernstein. Every time I see him on the screen, I'm like, wait, I just saw you at lunch. Yeah, literally. Like, he looks like our cousin.
Starting point is 01:13:03 Like, we totally know him. We're definitely related. Actually, a lot of the pros are Jewish. The Max and Chemikovsky and Val are Jewish. Alan's Jewish. The Pasha Pashkov. Oh, is he? Which makes Dignella by association.
Starting point is 01:13:17 Oh, love that. And then, okay, so Emma, who's dating Alan. I think she used to be married to Sasha, who's actually not a pro this season, but he's like that little brunette guy. Sasha Barber. Yes, yes. I know him.
Starting point is 01:13:29 I think he won with Caitlin Bristow. Okay. Yeah. I think Emma, you see married to him. That's crazy. Why isn't he a pro anymore? Well, so he comes up on my TikTok all the time in the comments are like,
Starting point is 01:13:38 wish you were a pro, wish you were a pro, and he's like liking all them. I think maybe he's just sort of like aged out and they're keeping him in the fault. He does a lot of the TikTok stuff. He dances with the troop. So I think that you can only be a pro for so long. It's like a physical thing.
Starting point is 01:13:50 and they have to bring in new people. So you can't really be mad. He was on it for so long. I think he won a couple of times. And now he's still set fired. They really keep everyone like in the family. Yeah. Very interesting.
Starting point is 01:13:59 Yeah. It is like it's an underworld. I'm not going to go watch old seasons because that would be infuriating to not be able to recap it. Or vote. Or vote. But that is,
