Starting point is 00:00:09 It's Jackson, Claude and neighbor show the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off, swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Wednesday. Yeah, that's right. It's do it to us Wednesday. What used to be hump day is now dootus Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Hey, Jax, how you turn? I'm doing good. Are you excited for your new format of First Story? Oh, yes, major programming update. We are not keeping it in our pants today. we are actually doing the first story as Dancing with the Stars, which is good because honestly I have more thoughts this week than maybe ever.
Starting point is 00:00:48 And I think it's only going to continue to happen as the weeks gone and the competition gets stiffer. 1,000%. Now, I just want to say, I know we said yesterday was the only day we were going to make a big deal about the Golden Globe saying, and of course, like I'm done talking about it. But I do want to say just sort of like a sort of beautiful coincidence of this news is like a lot of people just like assume we've been nominated for a Golden Globe.
Starting point is 00:01:06 My in-laws texting me this morning. I got a text from the friend. And being like congratulations with like a beautiful text about like how proud they are. And I just like had to reply. It's devastating to be like, I've actually not been nominated yet. I'm eligible for a nomination. And they're like, what? I've been nominated to be nominated.
Starting point is 00:01:24 Potentially. So I'm actually done correcting people from here on out. I completely agree because then I was in the text with Zach and they like wrote to me and I wrote back. No, no, nomination for a nomination. But thanks. the things and he was like you don't have to like correct i was like yes hi oh my god there is such a difference between being nominated and being nominated to be nominated and unfortunately maybe it depends on the person but like i guess at the same time both my in-laws like watch the clip because i was asleep
Starting point is 00:01:53 but they sent me a message being like we are so proud of you and it broke my heart did the clip not make it clear i guess no the thing is like other categories don't have this like you just go into a movie and you know what i mean like but also in the clip we only like put in like five other shows So it sounds like the five nominees. So it looks like that's us being nominated. Yeah. We didn't do that on purpose. And I'm not upset.
Starting point is 00:02:16 We didn't need to say the names of 30 other shows. No, and for the purpose of the clip, like we needed to kind of get the information. But, um, yeah. I'm done from here and out, unless you're like related to me, I'm done correcting you. Yeah. Agreed. We are nominated to be nominated. Um, and we'll leave it at that.
Starting point is 00:02:35 It's been such an honor. All the, you know, the outreach. Yeah, of course. So many. So many people like want this for us, random people. I know. I literally like the depths of my phone. I didn't even know I had some people's numbers.
Starting point is 00:02:45 People are like, how do we get you this nomination? Yeah. Everybody's like really invested in it. Yeah. I don't know if the Hollywood Farm Press accepts bribes, but I'm definitely open. No, I'm kidding. I would never, I would never. They would never accept bribes.
Starting point is 00:02:56 No, they were never. Because they're an outstanding institution. Institution. It's true. The good thing about what I believe the Hollywood Farm Press to be is like the cream rises and we are creamy as hell. We are. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:07 We are. Just when you think we can't get creamier. There we go. Cream. Bam. Cream. Bam. That was a good catchphrase from Emeril Lagassee. Was his bam? Bam. Yeah, he would like throw something in. Bam. That's good. That's good.
Starting point is 00:03:22 You know? I wonder why Ben doesn't look up to Emeril. It might be like too close to home. Yeah. Ben is like Gemeral. Jewish Emerald. He was Italian. But I wonder why. I think Emeril like predates his peak like predates Ben's. Emerald's OG like. Yeah. And, but you should ask him. his thoughts on Emerald.
Starting point is 00:03:40 So no time like the present. And that was good. Bam. Bam. What's your, um, my catchphrase? What are your thoughts on Emerald question mark, the chef?
Starting point is 00:03:52 Emerald. How do you spell Emerald? E. M.E. R.I.L. I feel like next season of Dancing with the Stars, Emerald Legossi will be on. Oh, he could be the next year. He could be the next yearmo. We have so much to discuss, obviously the dances, the music, the elimination.
Starting point is 00:04:07 We will be discussing it in our first story. That's pretty much all I did last night. It was a whole affair. Like I got ice cream. Like I planned my whole night around it. And then after 10 o'clock, I had to read the tweets. Of course. I couldn't even use my like buffer 20 minutes to finish my other show.
Starting point is 00:04:21 I really only need 20 minutes. But then it was like 10.30. And that's a wrap. Watching Dancing with the Stars now kind of reminds me of how I used to watch like The Bachelor, where it was this global event. I used to live tweet it. You'd be like making content, reacting to content, reading content. And it was like, it's so, oh, gee.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Last night was such a good episode. Some episodes are better than others, I find. Like last week was boring. Yeah, I was also just... Sat. Tuned in, you know? Yeah. And ready and excited.
Starting point is 00:04:48 I think I was doing some admin on my computer. And I was at this last week, but I'm looking forward to the one-hour episodes if that comes at some point. I think the dances get longer because now I'm watching old dances. Who did I just... I just watched an amazing dance.
Starting point is 00:05:00 I didn't know either of the two people. Bro or the star. I think he was an athlete. And the dance was really long. And I think that's what happens like with free... When they get to like final four, the dances get really. really long. Then they do two dances. So yeah, and then they do two dances. Then they do two dances.
Starting point is 00:05:15 All right. So we'll put a cork in the duitus for like one more minute. Anything else you want to talk about before we just like do what we got to do? Not much. Today's the third anniversary of October 7. Oh my God. Thank you so much for bringing that up. It's a shit day. However, like on the Jewish calendar, it's like it happened on Simchast Torah. So like that Simchastora was a few days ago. So like the anniversary has been just like this week in general. It also feels like 9-11, like a lot of content leading up. So I feel I've been processing a lot. So it doesn't feel like just today. And then like it ends tomorrow. because it really never ends. I was also thinking about like, of this as 9-11,
Starting point is 00:05:45 just because like when you're like planning an event or something and you see something on 9-11, you're like going to avoid that date. And that really is how I feel about 10-7. Like it's such a spooky day. It's true. It's terrible. And I can't believe it's been three years. I know.
Starting point is 00:05:57 And I know actually we have a lot of listeners who joined us after our October 7th episode. Their October 7th toaster. Yes. Thank you so much for being here. And I know we have a lot of people who left after the October 7th episode. And thank you so much for leaving. Get the fuck out. Get the fuck out.
Starting point is 00:06:10 It was a beautiful sort of journey. Yeah. And I'm so glad you guys are here. Yeah. Happy you guys are here. It's a very... Not so like making it about us. No, yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:18 But of course. We would never. But of course. It's just a very heavy day for the Jewish people. And for humanity, I would say, if you have humanity inside of you, I would expect that it's upsetting. It is. And like seeing all the content, like reliving it brings back so much, like, bad memories.
Starting point is 00:06:36 Like, I just like of that week and all the things unfolding and all the stories. stories coming out and like honestly being pregnant like I really cannot watch a lot of it it's like really difficult um so yeah just I've also heard I don't watch but fowda the new season of fowda is apparently amazing like show it's like an Israeli spy thriller people love it people have loved it for years I think it's really well done and like everyone talks about I think people who hate Israel even like you know it's like a very very popular show about like middle eastern like a geopolitical very spy most side security security guys, yes, I'm also sad, which is like good stuff, you know, a classic Olivia Oshry.
Starting point is 00:07:13 Yeah, and it's not like inherently political. So people really like it. Yeah, and I did this season. This season, they are up to October 7th. And so they cover October 7th. And what I've heard they've done a really good job with it. And I think also in the last few seasons, you can see how their perspective has sort of changed since October 7th and some of the stuff that they were doing in the first few seasons, like just isn't happening anymore. I cannot bring myself to watch. I've heard it's like a very, very difficult episode of TV watch. And also the show, like, I don't watch a lot of TV like that in general. So, like, I don't watch the show.
Starting point is 00:07:44 You don't watch a blacklist? No, I see. Right, right. Because I'm not Olivia. Right. But if you're looking for something to watch, I've heard amazing reviews. Me too. And I recommend, especially if you want to, like, understand what happened that day.
Starting point is 00:07:58 And in the years before, better. It's a really great show. Yeah. Okay. So anything else you want to chit chat about before we dive in? I'm wearing a dress. I just feel like you guys probably can't see it. I've just sort of given up on trying to, like, do anything besides to be comfortable in this weather.
Starting point is 00:08:17 It is so hot. I'm not even, like, that pregnant to the point where I'm uncomfortable. It's just hot. Like, I think I would be wearing this dress even if I wasn't pregnant. But I feel that if I have, like, an extra sort of, like, pepping my step, a little flair, a little china sequa. It's because I'm wearing a dress. You probably can't tell. I got dressed this morning, and I was just like, I'm so sick of this.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Getting dressed? Like, just, I don't know. I need some. sort of like makeover? Not like just energization. I feel like I've been on websites and for the first time I'm like I want to go to their lookbooks.
Starting point is 00:08:47 I want to be inspired by some. You need a stylist. Yeah. Like I feel like I want to find like a style that I like but I'm also sort of like 10 pounds away from like really wanting to do that. So just wait. So I'm just waiting. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Put on another sweater. Listen, you look great. I mean that's my whole closet of sweaters and I love sweaters and I don't know why like I'm just like I love sweaters. I'm just feeling and I by the way while I was doing Adam. on my computer last night. I ordered seven more sweaters from the Old Navy. You can never have enough sweaters. I have all sorts of sweaters. I love sweaters. I don't know. I'm just feeling like a little uninspired. You're kind of like Josie at the mall. Cardigans.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Always cardigans for me. But I don't know. So I've been like, I've been looking for inspiration. I've been for inspo. Well, you should follow some influencers. It's like a great way to. Yeah. To expand your style. Yeah. I mean, I follow a lot of. I mean, I do think you should start dressing like more slutty for sure. For sure. No, I'm trying to think like my, I love like Molly Mae. That's like the style that I love, but that's like what I'm wearing. And like has maybe done a drop recently? I did search maybe drop recently. And let me tell you why I didn't buy anything.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Oh, also did you get anything on Prime Day? Yes, I got a vacuum. Oh, so smart to buy a vacuum on Prime Day. I bought a bunch of survival stuff. Matches? No, like it all came in the mail. Dried fruit? Like, what is this?
Starting point is 00:10:00 No, it was like there. I just got like a big first aid kit. That's just like a good thing to have. Okay, yeah, it is. Real from this influence. or who was just like talking about like a couple good things to have in the house. Her andcade preparedness? Her, yeah, like.
Starting point is 00:10:11 Judy, remember Judy? Yeah, but this, I got something that was like a little radio that has a flashlight. Oh, she's crazy. Oh, if I was Zach and I saw you opening that up too. Wait. And I got. Doomsday prep. Yeah, that's you.
Starting point is 00:10:25 And then this is the craziest. Oh, not the radio, clock radio? I got these things that are like these big, they almost look like big, like, hoses and they're straws. And you basically can put them in any body of water and drink. And they filter them. And it filters the water. I've seen those like real.
Starting point is 00:10:39 So in case we ever need to drink some lake water, we have potable water. Well, that's so great for you. I just like saw this image. We made this video of like, good things to have in your house. I always see stuff like that. And like, I don't buy it. And then I click through to their Amazon. I was like, it's prime day.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Yeah. Back in the day when everyone was doing those duty preparedness kits, like I got one in gifting. And I was like, yeah, I'm sad. Like, it's sad in my closet forever. A couple of years ago, I did get rid of it. I do think they like expire at some point. And I don't have anything.
Starting point is 00:11:06 Yeah, it's just like good stuff to have. I had a landline for many years. Especially like here we have crazy weather. We do have hurricanes. We haven't had a hurricane this season, but in lieu of a hurricane, we've had insane weather. Yeah. And it's just always good to be prepared. I got a TV.
Starting point is 00:11:20 I don't know. I was influenced. I got a TV. That's good. What kind? A Samsung frame, of course. Oh, right. That's why you texted me.
Starting point is 00:11:26 I text you. And thank you so much for not responding. I didn't know where to find out. I actually just can't stress how helpful it is when you do that. Maybe does have cute stuff. One in doubt. Maybe. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:11:37 All right, let's dive into the past five, specifically the Dancing with the Stars recap that I personally just can't wait to get to. Okay. Do you get anything else for Prime Day that you wanted to talk about? No, but it's still not over today. So I still have other things to get. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Anything else.
Starting point is 00:11:52 I didn't, like, sit down and do enough. Like, I need to. I know. When I see everyone, like, posting all their slides, like, they got Prime Day in hand. I'm like... I know. I'm not. Some years I'm really on top of it.
Starting point is 00:12:02 And some years I'm not. And I'm sorry. I'm just not this year. That's okay. But I got a TV. I feel like that's good. That's a great thing. And I got a vacuum.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Like I feel like that. But you know I have like conspiracy theories about prime debt. Of course that they jack up the prices. Over the course of the next like look at the few weeks leading up. Like don't spoil the dollar a day. They go up, up, up, up. And then boom, look, it's $50 off. It was $50 less last week, you know?
Starting point is 00:12:25 That's like telling people Santa isn't real. Like don't ruin the magic. Okay, not you like working for Amazon and their corporate greed. No, I just like I love, it's so festive. You know? Yeah. Scamming Americans is festive. I agree.
Starting point is 00:12:38 Oh no, the commies. Hardward coaching. Even though when I bought the TV, it was like a couple hundred dollars off. And it was actually a lot off. I'm like, I don't know, this is very unprime. So I did some research with chat. I was like, how much does this TV cost? Chat swears that it wasn't marked up.
Starting point is 00:12:55 So maybe like, this is just a theory. And did you buy your frame yet? I know that. No, you know, that kills me. You can't buy the frames on TV. You have to go more like Artisan. Did you get the 100 inch? I got the 98.
Starting point is 00:13:05 Yeah, they, I might have a frame. Oh, wow. You might not like it. It was like my placeholder frame, the one you saw, the gray, like. Gray? Like slate. I am like allergic to gray. I think it's the ugliest color on the planet.
Starting point is 00:13:20 Yeah, slate, though. Slate gray or slate smiley? This is not my slate. I'll take a look. Thank you so much. It's very generous. Like, just trying to help out, Bradley. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:13:34 I'm so glad you brought up Bradley. You guys know Bradley on a budget, my favorite TikToker who like does frugal. living, but he actually like just lives in filth. No. Well, you know, there are theories that like his whole lifestyle on social media is completely fabricated and like everything he films in that disgusting apartment of his is like a set and he like lives in a normal house. T he's moving.
Starting point is 00:13:53 I don't know where to, but he did a video that he's in his apartment. You think he's still going to be relatable? Well, he's like the opposite and a spectrum. Like while McKaylon McGarra is not relatable anymore because she buys like, you know, $200,000 shopping sprees, Bradley on a budget is no longer relatable and he hasn't been ever since he started like saving napkins from takeout and using them as toilet paper. He does the most insane things ever. Jackie,
Starting point is 00:14:13 he has a twin XL mattress that like he stole from a college. Why do he steal? Well, theft is not okay. No, not steal. Like they were giving it away, you know, like he took it legally. Sorry, but like it's a used college dorm twin XL bed. Like the frame too. That's better than you.
Starting point is 00:14:27 That sleeps on a piece of cardboard. I don't sleep on cardboard. I actually sleep on a $5,000 mattress. No, no, no, but like your predecessor, the cardboard. Yes. He slept on a piece of cardboard. Also, things that Bradley does that are like, actually insane that like send people is that he has one towel and sometimes it feels like i have
Starting point is 00:14:42 one towel a hundred percent but you don't and does your towel have a huge hole in it and like yellow stains his towel is his towel is so insane yeah but the thing about bronzer is that it's water base it always comes out gray tan comes out but doesn't it sometimes feel like you only have one towel yeah literally of course and it's always wet like literally i have a hundred towels in this house why am i always using this one i use the same one every time and it's always a little wet but And I hang it up. I'm like a Nazi about how I hang up my towels. Ben will like hang it up in a ball.
Starting point is 00:15:11 And then it's wet. He's like my towel smells. I'm like, well, you didn't hang it properly. Hanging is an art. I am crazy about how I hang my towels. It's always just a little wet.
Starting point is 00:15:19 Yeah. You know? And there's always just the one. There's always like a little bronzer on it. I don't even remember buying. A thousand percent. Where are my custom wheeze towels? I can't find them.
Starting point is 00:15:27 Bradley actually has, you have probably like 25 towels. He has one towel. One. And it's not even a whole one. It's like a whole one. It's like people in their blanket. It looks like someone's like stringy ass, moldy, ass, crusty ass, blanky
Starting point is 00:15:44 that like smells like an anus. Yeah, that's exactly what it looks like. Does Bradley have a woman in his life? Bradley, no. Bradley, no. There's a man. Well, he doesn't actually have a man, but he is gay. And he does like Only Fans content, which he says, like, really makes it hard for him, too.
Starting point is 00:16:02 That's the thing about Bradley because he also was very transparent about his money. So he makes, like, six figures a month. He is not poor. That's the thing. A lot of people think he has financial trauma. He's not poor. And so that's why it's very frustrating for people to see him acting like that. Like you literally aren't even poor.
Starting point is 00:16:22 Yeah. Or even like medium. Like you're wealthy. You're a wealthy man. You're one percent. And wait, why did it? Oh, so he does only get content. Any world in which like this is his persona online.
Starting point is 00:16:33 He has his foreigner. That's a new theory about Bradley. And then he goes home to his estate. So people really have started. to believe because it's becoming so not believable, especially when he shares his finances. Not only does he make so much money on social media, TikTok, creator fun, things like that. He has the OnlyFans business, which is extremely lucrative. What does he do on OnlyFans?
Starting point is 00:16:52 I've never checked it out. I don't know. OnlyFes show bits and... I would assume, yes. I would assume. But he also has like eight other side jobs. He dogsets. His full-time job is like a marketing something or ever.
Starting point is 00:17:06 He volunteers on a crisis hotline. house sits. No, sorry, it's paid. Bradley does not volunteer, sorry, no. And he, like, house sits. He does, like, a lot of, like, sidegags. So he makes, like, well over $100 grand a month. Wow.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Yeah. So a lot of people have started to think that, like, it's so not believable that you would live in, Jackie, this place, you would die. Like, his one pan, it would send you, like, the Teflon chemicals. It would send you into a coma if you saw Bradley's pants. I'm going to start downloading and sending him to you.
Starting point is 00:17:35 It's not non-toxic. No, it's not. not toxic. It's not caraway. That's disappointing. Yeah. So you're obviously like joining the Bradley Bandistas. That's what we call ourselves. I appreciate the recaps from you much like friends. I don't want to watch it firsthand. No, I think you
Starting point is 00:17:50 actually, like, I don't feel like you fully understand like the level of filth. You have to show? She'll show me. Oh, wow. Okay. Oh, right now. I'll let you know if if it piques my interest. Oh, and do you know what he calls his fans? The Bradley knows? You're going to love this. But I went to search on TikTok, Bradley on a budget. And the first thing is Bradley on a budget, Bentley.
Starting point is 00:18:11 They think he has a Bentley. All right, this is his frugal apartment tour. You should watch that one, okay? Blue shirt, tap it. I didn't even know what he looks like. He's handsome. He's handsome. He's handsome.
Starting point is 00:18:19 This is not what I was expecting. I didn't have to buy most of the furniture in my apartment. I found it for free either on the side of the road. Or if people were throwing things out or giving things away, I said, I will gladly take it, including this college door mattress. How do you pause this? tap grandma. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:42 His captioned, his financial trauma taught me well, ha-ha. Oh, because he knows the joke. He knows the theories. But why do you need an empty Louis Vuitton box? A billow. No, it's tiny. It's like where you put a key chain. I think that, like, he would maybe one day, like, put a gift for someone else in that box, you know?
Starting point is 00:19:10 It wouldn't be Louis Vuitton. It's just a box. Yeah, right, right. To him. I would love to know what Martha Stewart thinks about this. Oh, you're done? Yeah, I'm done. You didn't even get to the toilet paper napkins party.
Starting point is 00:19:34 Like that's the craziest thing. And the towel. But let me just find the towel. I need you to see this towel. Here, I'll turn the volume down. You talk and I'm going to find the towel. Oh, you're going to find the towel. Joy, what a treat for me.
Starting point is 00:19:45 Yeah. Oh, here. Okay, so this drawer. I eat the same food every single day. If you open this random drawer, it holds all of my toilet paper scraps. And of course, my sponge is cut in half because it helps me extend the life of the sponge. If you need to throw something out, you can get a trash bag. It is a good tip.
Starting point is 00:20:02 On trash bags, I've always used these paper bags. Of course, everyone does that. Everyone does that. None of my silverware matches. I got this bundle from a tag sale shortly after I moved. I also never had to buy paper towels because anytime I use paper towels, I just let them dry and I reuse them. He drives his paper towels. He should get reusable paper towels.
Starting point is 00:20:19 And I'm sure like brands are sending him so much stuff. I don't believe it. Oh, okay. So you're a part. And I didn't tell you what he calls his fans. We're the budget baddies. We should be braddies. Totally.
Starting point is 00:20:32 No, he's been getting a lot of hate, I'm sending him a lot of love. Are you? Yeah. I'm always wishing the best for Bradley. You are? I'm always wishing the best for my fellow human being. Yes, I am.
Starting point is 00:20:44 That's beautiful. Except for Robert Hergeck. Stop. I feel like I have to love Robert Hergevich so much. To negate, yeah. The hatred. Even though, you know, I'm kind of like falling off of him. He's not really on my list so much anymore.
Starting point is 00:20:58 I don't care. Now it's just a running joke, but like, he's a nice guy. Yeah, I guess, like, Adam Levine is like, new on my list. Yeah, Pete Davidson. He's like the president of the list. Yeah, that works for me. Yeah, me too. Let's get into the fast five stories that you gotta do need to know. And speaking of Prime Day, the Fast Five stories that you need to know are brought to you by
Starting point is 00:21:15 GU's skin. And if you don't know, today is Prime Day. Our favorite cave beauty sponsor, GU has the best prime deals on Amazon right now. So Jackie and I are always talking about their viral toner pads. Jackie actually like just bought them organically through an ad. I was influenced through an AI ad. And I was like, okay. I got them too. We love them. And other sponsor of ours, which is so exciting. I'm about to get carded. That's how young I look. And people are, like, I feel like people are always commenting about my skin recently.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Mm-hmm. And it's these pads. So they help with dark spots, which I think a lot of people struggle with, especially through, like, the various stages of womanhood pregnancy. And you will actually, like, noticed a visible difference. I use them in the morning. They're, like, freezing cold. They feel so good on, like a puffy face.
Starting point is 00:21:50 It's a great way to depuff. You know, you're supposed to put your face in an ice bath? No, just use these pads. Today's episode is also brought to you by the absorption company. So if you're into supplements, you might not realize that the biggest problem with supplements is really not what's in them.
Starting point is 00:27:14 It's whether your body is absorbing them at all because I think a lot of people assume you take your supplements and you're good. Actually, a lot of the times vast majority of supplements have low absorption rates, meaning that most of what you're spending your money on actually never gets used in by your body. The absorption company is focused on solving that exact problem. They have pharmaceutical-grade absorption technology designed to help nutrients actually work. No matter how powerful a supplement is on paper, it only matters if your body can absorb it. So the absorption company is singularly focused on solving that problem of low absorption. 77% of Americans take supplements daily. We're all spending so much money on them.
Starting point is 00:27:46 And what if they're not even penetrating your body? So they make tons of different supplements. A lot of their most popular ones are like a WLP1, which is a great daily weight management solution. It supports weight management. If you're also just looking for your go-to supplements, like I take a lot of magnesium. The absorption company is a great option.
Starting point is 00:28:15 If you're looking for just like higher quality, better absorbing supplements, I highly recommend checking out the absorption company. Starting point is 00:28:36 for 35% off your first order. Thank you, first order. It's been a pleasure, my daughter. Our first story, Dancing with the Stars, episode four. Last night was Mariah Carey night on Dancing with the Stars. I didn't know that was a theme, but I liked it.
Starting point is 00:28:53 Amazing theme. Heartbreak, you got the best of me. And I feel like you could really tell who the network is pulling for based on who got what songs. You mean because Em or Glenn got Hero? I was waiting. Is no one going to dance to hero? My personal favorite Mariah Carey song.
Starting point is 00:29:07 And I was like, I wonder if someone's going to dance to the Christmas song? Someone should have. Someone shut up. Like Guillermo got a great song. Fabula got a great song. Some people I was like, oh, you're going home because what the hell is this song?
Starting point is 00:29:17 I never heard of it for. Oh, I wasn't really thinking so much about the songs. And I wasn't even thinking about like Mariah Carey and what I wanted to hear. It reminded me of Wicked Night last year because you could so tell, like, whoever got Defying Gravity and, like, popular, we're, like, the favorites. No, but there, but it's also what you make of it. Yes, and every, it's so personal. You know, because, like, I could think of a bad dance to obsess.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Like, so, uh, oh, it's not like an amazing song to dance, but it's most popular. But Guillermo crushed it. But it's also, like, it's easier for people to like your dance when they know and like your song. Do you know what I mean? That's why I felt like Yacht Rock was so boring. Like, have the songs, I was like, okay, this song sucks or I don't know it. Yeah, well, she got hero.
Starting point is 00:29:49 And again, like, what did I feel? Very little. Yeah. Even though that song is like one of the most gorgeous songs ever written. It's true. She talked about in her memoir. Her really became like an anthem after 9-11. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:30:00 Oh, you're talking about Amber Glenn. I'm like, you read her memoir. Mariah Carey's memoirs. I didn't know that because of all like the... Yeah, she like in the 9-11 tribute. Was she dating Derek Cheater at the time? There was some... Something about the time reminds me of Derek Cheater.
Starting point is 00:30:16 So he was there somewhere. Oh, that's like iconic. And the song just like is a huge song. So beautiful. Mm-hmm. It is one of the most beautiful. I, of course, think of the Fifth Harmony cover on X Factor. It's a beautiful tribute.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Yeah. Like, it's kind of, like, the climb, I feel. Yes. Boomer Climb. Boomer Clim. I'm going to whip out our group chat from last night just because I kept, like, I can never remember what I think of. But we're going to go in order of the dances.
Starting point is 00:30:43 Yes, exactly. And when we were all watching live, we were, like, writing to each other what we thought. And I just want to refresh myself on my thoughts. So first up, we had Sierra and Brandon. they danced. Oh, they were first? They were first, which is.
Starting point is 00:30:54 That's crazy to go home because you get the most time to like garner votes on social media. They dance to, and people started the episode late. They still get to vote. Yeah. They danced to emotions.
Starting point is 00:31:04 They did some jazz. And she got three seven, so a 21 out of 30. Now, I was so surprised by her dance. And then when I saw Tatiana's, I was a little bit less surprised. I don't know if like the jazz, because Tatanas was also jazz.
Starting point is 00:31:18 And it felt like such a basic dance that I was like. A couple potaboo. raise. It was like something we did at camp, like for real, like on the dance team. And I was thinking to myself, like, the fact that Mora's like Viennese Waltz, which is like so technical, they spent the same amount of time every day this week, like working on the same dance. And I just thought the brand new one, I thought Tatiana's was actually a lot better, but even I just felt like jazz is like very basic. I thought his choreography was so poor and he really did her a disservice in
Starting point is 00:31:44 like not challenging her even a little bit. I think also there wasn't a lot of choreography. What I'm starting to notice, and I feel like sometimes the judges say this is like, you could tell when there's like a long pass when they go from corner to corner and they truck down and that's like the steps but there's also a lot of sticky stuff like you know and I feel like Sierra's dance was so much stick whatever like technical things that they had to hit there wasn't a lot of it meanwhile other couples that are more advanced like mora and mark like they're doing choreography the whole time agreed it was not sophisticated the dance at all and I feel like she wasn't challenged like even a little bit and I think maybe
Starting point is 00:32:17 if she hadn't gone first her scores would have been much lower yeah because then when Amber Glenn got a seven. Right. Like what? So I thought the score. So then I was like, is she going to go home? And I think a lot of people were surprised that she was the one who went home because she got all sevens. But I think if she hadn't gone first, like her scores would have been much lower.
Starting point is 00:32:33 Only because like you, it's not a high scoring dance. Like you don't get points for. Yeah. It's like when you do gymnastics routine, but it only has so much difficulty level. Correct. And people are really upset that she went home. And the thing is, is that maybe it was a little early for her to go home. But I feel like of the people who were in the pot to go.
Starting point is 00:32:50 home last night. I thought it was given last week based on scores. Given the season so far. Tyler and Fabula, who both stepped their pussies up really well last night. So they were really not eligible. Jackson and Guillermo. Now, Guillermo, I'm sorry, he gets so many votes. He's an ABC employee. People, you can be mad all you want. He's not going home for a little bit. He's obviously not winning. I want to say, I think, I don't think this show is weighted at all. Maybe except for the winner of the mirror ball. But I think on next. like last night, even if they were trying to tip the scales, they can't. They don't.
Starting point is 00:33:26 Really? I think they really, really go by the votes because I think they want Guillermo to go home. Like, I think that. It's disruptive. It is disruptive. And other contestants are mad and fans are mad when they think it's like pity votes. And so everyone voting for Kyerma when he's getting fours is not what they want. But I really think when in doubt, just like let the vote.
Starting point is 00:33:45 Like, they really shouldn't fix it at all because who should go home? Really who should go home? So based on last night, given I know the fact that so many people voted for Guillermo, it really was Jackson or Sierra. Now, it could have been either of them. And next week it will be Jackson. And if it was Jackson this week, it might have been Sierra next week. So I'm not like that upset because.
Starting point is 00:34:06 Or Tyler, if Tyler slips out, he's probably going home. Bibula too. So there were like a couple of people who were up for grabs last night and she was one of them. Also, and you know, I was thinking about this like at a glance today, you know, you really pull out every trick in the book when you're on Dancing with the Stars, you bring all of your famous friends. There was not one summer house person who came to the show to support. I didn't see a lot of, like, her castmates on social media.
Starting point is 00:34:29 That social media carries a lot of currency. I feel like also with the network, like when you're turning out those TikToks, like making a lot of conversation on social media, good and bad, it's ultimately good for the network. Like they really like to reward that type of behavior. I didn't see a lot of Sierra and Brandon's TikToks on my, and I've seen everything. So I feel like they didn't have a huge impact on social media. And I feel like she didn't get a lot of support from her like Bravo family.
Starting point is 00:34:49 Like all the people who were like so happy like, you know, make the scimandible thing about them being like, like coming out like Vanita. Like I love Sierra. Like, where are you? Like literally not one person from Bravo came. Shout to Justin Sylvester for being there for her last night. Like where was literally everyone? I don't know. And didn't Jesse Solomon just buy a house in L.A.?
Starting point is 00:35:06 Yeah, he did actually. I think so much to bring that out. I don't know. So it's like it's obviously about the dances. But it's so much. And I do think like that social media frenzy like really impacts how people vote for you. Yeah. I think it's also about like your story.
Starting point is 00:35:17 And I'm surprised that there. that she didn't get more votes because ultimately I think that's what it came down to. Her scores were comparable. Yes, agree. It was votes. And so, like, where were the votes? Because a lot of that is, like, with the hype you bring. Yeah, I guess so.
Starting point is 00:35:30 Also, I do think about, like, the network, who they want. And I do think when it comes to the mirror ball, like, they have their favorites. Like, Robert Irwin, I don't think he was the winner. But you don't think that, like, because the three people who were up for, at least in my mind, for going home was Jackson, who's being plugged for this banana athon. So now I understand why Jackson's on the show. Jackson will be home next week. No, but the Banana Bowl is on Saturday on Disney Plus, which is why Jackson Mooms was cast.
Starting point is 00:35:55 Yes, to promote this banana thon. Jackson Oms the Brother. Yes. So that's what bananas have to do with ABC. The Banana Bowl, which is Jackson Mananas first, another team of singing Facebook players. And it's like the first streamed bananas game. Let me tell you I'm watching with my kids. A thousand percent.
Starting point is 00:36:13 Thank you for letting me know that the Banana Bowl is stream on Disney Plus is on Saturday. So next week, they can't even promote the banana. Bannibal anymore. And he will be going home next week. Giermo lives to see another day. I'm saying, I think he could have gone home this week. If it really is someone pulling the strings based on relevancy and ABC contract. But it's a little bit more convenient for him to go to home next week. You think so? Why?
Starting point is 00:36:31 Because then the banana bowl has an active dancing with the stars castmate on it. Like it's more exciting. Okay, fine. Giermo is a legacyed ABC employee. I know you think it's not tipped. And I actually agree with you. Like the Guillermo has become like sort of an inconvenience to the network. He's a thorn in their side.
Starting point is 00:36:46 But like, you know, Sierra is this like NBC. person. She's an yeah NBC. She's like a competitor. I don't think the network has really any reason to sort of prop her up. And so maybe that's why I also, I think she just didn't have a lot of... You could say the same thing for Tyler
Starting point is 00:37:02 though. Yes, absolutely. But Tyler did a very good job last night. And you could say the same thing for Fibuil. And also Tyler got me crying. Like Tyler, whenever he talks about his mom, it makes me so emotional. Like he loves her, loved her so much. And like when he was talking about her, I literally started crying. It was so sweet. So like I said, it's a lot of
Starting point is 00:37:18 of things. It's social media. It's your package. How do you make me feel? And I guess like when we think about like the fans voting, the ABC connection, the package is packaging like Sierra didn't have, and the dances. And by the way, Tyler is ABC. He doesn't, he's not in a contract. I know, but he's, you know, he's an old school like ABC. He's not in the car. I guess he does, um, he does HGTV. He does that show. They're redoing the Bachelor Mansion. That's HGTV, right? With Tisha. With Tasha five years ago. Yeah. Oh, never mind. Um, bring it back. So, yeah. So I guess, you know, in that it was going to be one of. It was going to be one of. these pool of people who are going home.
Starting point is 00:37:50 And I think it was, I do think it was honest. Like, yeah, I know. And I know people are really upset. But surprising. Same with last week. Like, people were really upset. And it's like, well, we can hold space for both truth. Like, that's our girl. But also like, seriously, who else? Yeah. And especially last night. The only other person was Jackson. So it's like, seriously a coin toss. Yeah. And exactly. And it will be Jackson next week. Like, bye. And it was also his birthday. So.
Starting point is 00:38:14 Then we had Ezra Frech and Dengela Karagach. That Ezra. He's really handsome. Oh my God, he looked so hot last night. Is he straight or gay? I couldn't tell. I feel like he's straight. I'm in love with him.
Starting point is 00:38:28 He's obviously winning. It's so, it's not even a question to me. When I think about the top four, I think about Ezra, Mora, maybe like a Harry Shum or a Jenna. Or Jenna, not both. Yeah, no, just one of them. And who else is like dazzling? Guillermo.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Tatiana. For me, it's Guillermo. Whatever. He's so clearly the winner. Like, seriously, who cares who goes home when? Because, like, everyone can't go home now. It's obviously Ezra. He is so coming into himself.
Starting point is 00:38:55 And I cannot say enough positive things about him, his life, his charity, his challenges. Like, and Danielle. Like, I just... I can't say enough positive things about Danielle. I just adore them. She's an insane pro. Her body is insane. No, but, like, the way that she's able to, like, she gets, like...
Starting point is 00:39:14 Who would it even be, like, the most desirable male cast? We were just talking about this with Taylor Hanson. Who would you want? who would you not want? Like it feels like for a partner. Whoever she gets, like she. Shines a light on shape. Yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:39:26 And like really highlights their strength. Absolutely. So they're amazing to watch. I absolutely love them. Then we had Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson. And so as you guys know, like there's a list of three people on this show who make me feel nothing.
Starting point is 00:39:40 Harry Shum Jr., Jenna Johnson and Amber Glenn, the three people who are the best. And last week, Jenna... I'm going to add a fourth to the list. Who? Julia Stiles. Okay. Last week, Jenna Johnson graduated from the list because I actually felt like, I felt something when I watched her. Jenna Dewan. What did I say? Jenna Johnson. Jenna Duan. And last night, with the cameo of Mercedes Jones, I almost said Mercedes-Javid. Mercedes-Jones, Harry Shum Jr. graduated off the list because when I was watching the dance, I felt nothing. And then at the end when it was over and they cut to Amber Riley,
Starting point is 00:40:09 former dancing with the stars champion and glee cast member. She won the mirror ball? Yes, with Derek Huff. Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah. So it was like a glee dancing with the stars. That's exactly. what I'm looking for. That's what I said about Sierra. Like you bring your people. Yes, thank you, Harry Shum Jr. Whose ever idea was to have Amber Riley sing? Genius, tens, tens, tens across the board. I don't even remember his dance. I don't care. I don't remember his dance. I felt nothing. Literally when I'm writing in our chat, I said, oh my God, Amber, I love that. Like, that's all I I thought for Harry's whole dance. What did I say? Oh, I said something about Harry, didn't I? What did I say? Yeah, you said. I feel like they're acting like Harry Shum Jr. is a real doctor with how he has to run
Starting point is 00:40:47 in and out of the ER. That is funny. And it's like coming to set in scrubs. Like they're seriously acting like he's a doctor. It's true. And like in the parking lot of the hospital. They're going to the hospital. Not just the set of Grace Anatomy.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Cracking up. I did feel that way. Then they got 24 out of 30. So it's three eights. Great for them. Then Jenna Dewan and Val Schmerkovsky. They went with a slower dance. They finally, you know, turned down the speed.
Starting point is 00:41:14 She was able to express herself. And I'm not like really following. like what everyone's saying. No, no, I hear it. No, I heard it last week. She's so, like, pop, lock, jam, and break. She's nuts.
Starting point is 00:41:24 And it's like, we're not feeling, that's why we're not feeling anything. She goes so hard and it's just like, huh. And of course, it's good dancing, but we're not feeling something. It's not a motive. I'm back to not really caring about her. She's back, she's been demoted to the D-Leaks.
Starting point is 00:41:37 Like, I don't know, when Carrie Ann was getting emotional, I'm like, what are we crying about? Like, I don't under, I'm a little bit lost on her arc, you know? Yeah. This was a good dance. for her. Sure. She looked really amazing. She's and Harry are supposed to be like the Jordan Fisher's of the season and I'm still not feeling that. Also the fact that Harry Shem Jr. danced to a song
Starting point is 00:41:57 that he was in the music video for just proves how he's like really not eligible to be on the show. A professional dance. That's insane. I didn't know that that's what happened. That's hysterical. Then Tyler Cameron and Shana Burgess. I just love that Tyler Cameron and I feel like he really wants to prove himself and I just love him. Like I'm so biased when it comes to him and I thought he did a really good job. And his dance, like, wasn't easy. Sometimes with the guys, like, give them easy stuff. So it's like a good job. You just stood there. No, I thought his dance was like technically difficult. He's improving. And that's all I'm personally looking for. Yeah. And I think like he should make it. A few more weeks. To the end of like this, you know, major. Because there's a people, a couple people like in the
Starting point is 00:42:33 in the bottom half. Yes. And I think he should make it through. Me too. The bottom half. Barring, you know, significant improvement. Or like significant decline. Like let's say he falls or something. And he, you know, ended the dance, giving a rose to his lady love, his fiance, Tate. A lot of people think that was maybe, because, you know, last week when they were dancing, they, like, cut to Hannah Brown. Okay. And everyone was, like, talking about how disrespectful that was. And so I think maybe it was like, Tyler taking his power back being like, this is my lady. Yeah, like, put the camera on her.
Starting point is 00:43:02 Yeah, I gave her a flower and a big kiss. That's cute. Yeah. That's cute. Very cute. Then we have more Higgins and Mark Ballas. They scored a 25 out of 30, which was the highest score. The first nine of the season, what did Amber get?
Starting point is 00:43:16 She got a 23. Okay, so Mora and Mark had the highest scores of the night. They did a Viennese waltz. It was very beautiful. It was insane. And that's when I was like, it was really, that's when it became kind of obvious to me that Sierra might be going home just because like these are two different dances, like two different.
Starting point is 00:43:31 The technical level is and what Morris said, what Mark said about more like is so true. She does have this like untapped talent. Innate ability just to dance. It was such a skilled dance. I don't know if they do difficulty scorings like you said like they do in gymnastics. Her seemed so difficult. And she was so graceful.
Starting point is 00:43:49 And she's a top performer in the audience for her was Lexi Wood. And Lexi Wood posted on social media 10,000 times that she was there for at Morah Higgins. Like I feel like she didn't want anyone to think that she was going to be there for Sierra. I saw some like tweets being like, oh my God, crazy that Lexi's there for Moran, not Sierra.
Starting point is 00:44:07 Like why would she ever be there for Sierra? No, it's crazy that she's there for Mora. Sure. How do these two know each other? No clue. In no world would Lexi would ever fly across the country for Sierra. They barely talk. No, they're like ops. They are. She was like her, the boy she was seeing over the summer was flirting with Sierra. Worse than not friends. They were enemy. A thousand percent. So, but I think Lexi just didn't want anyone to assume she kept being like for Mora and she posted a picture
Starting point is 00:44:29 of her seat which said like Lexi would. Mora friends and family. She was just like Mora, more, more. I need to know how they're friends. I know so random. I like the friendship. Me too. Maybe just like gorgeous girls doing gorgeous things. They gravitate towards one that's obviously what happened with us. Her dance was amazing. I thought what everyone was saying about her was like so sweet. I also didn't realize that Bruno last week had said that she dances like like Audrey Hepburn. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:52 Because I said that. I said that like two weeks ago. Ah. Yeah. I had to Audrey Hepburn danced. No, like there's just something like. Like a gracefulness. Something Audrey Hepron about her.
Starting point is 00:45:02 I can't explain it. Okay. What was said enough to that. Oh, Lexi Wood there for Mora. She was friends and family. And you said, hmm. titillating. And then I said her dance compared to Sierra's in terms
Starting point is 00:45:16 of choreography. I was obviously onto something. Obviously they think were judges. In my text, like I am practicing for this. Like I'm cultivating my thoughts. No, I'm just like spewing my thoughts to friends. Like what else do people do? Yeah. Then
Starting point is 00:45:32 Guillermo and Whitney. Here's what I said. So Carrienne gave Guillermo like... Oh, wait, we have to talk about the dance first. Guillermo and Whitney, they danced too obsessed. They were in New York all week because Jimmy Kimmel was in New York, so Whitney was in New York with Cammo. Poor girl flying across the country. Poor girl. And, you know, obsessed is like very much a diva anthem. So they channeled their in a diva. Paparazzi and autographs. He was like giving, like, his diva. He was serving.
Starting point is 00:45:58 He continues to bring everything we need him to bring. Yes. And the dances continue to give us that like spark of joy and that moment that we always need. And then Carrie Ann, I feel like maybe in an industry plant type of way is like planting seeds for Guillermo to go home because the whole point of Guillermo is that he brings joy and that he's full of joy and he's fun to watch and in his critiques obviously everyone was like you didn't move your feet whatever like you stood there which is all valid criticism and then Carrie Ann was like I don't know what's with you today I just feel like you've lost your spark like you're not finding joy in this and collectively I think we all were like what the fuck are you talking about and here's what I wrote you said they're coming for Guillermo
Starting point is 00:46:39 Oh my God, acting like he's not joyous. I said, what the fuck is Carrie Ann saying? She wouldn't know joy if it's spitter in the mouth. I'm like, are we okay? You said, I feel like she's trying to take away the thing that everyone loves about him and be like, oh my God, Giermo, you're not having fun. And then I said, yes, so it makes sense if they send him home. You said, Whitney's face is like, whoa.
Starting point is 00:47:02 Whitney's face, she's literally, this was her face. It's the most, it's a shocking. You can critique literally everything. everything about Guillermo's performance, except the joy. Yeah, and also, maybe you missed the point, but like, he's serving diva tonight. And he said, I wrote down, and quote, being a diva is hard. Like, his whole thing was like, so what, you mistook his bitch face for not having joy? The dance was full of joy.
Starting point is 00:47:27 And for me, like, this is, I want Guillermo to go all the way. Fine, maybe not the Mara ball because Ezra deserves it or Mora deserves it. No, he shouldn't even make the top four. He shouldn't make, like, but the thing is, like, I come to this show for, lot of things and entertainment being one of them and I can be entertained by an amazing dance Jordan Fisher style I can also be entertained by comedy and humor and good fun and love. There are a lot of ways to skin a cat. Guillermo is one of the most entertaining performers on the show. Thousand percent. So I would say top three. Actually, yeah, I only vote for him and Ezra.
Starting point is 00:47:59 Yeah. I don't vote for more yet because I don't feel like she needs me to vote. She's swore the highest. And I hate texting 10 times. I feel like I hate voting. I hate it. I hate it. Like can't I just Ezra X-10 and you get the point? 100%. No, you need my text message dollars. Yeah, you do. But once the competition stiffens up, I will be voting for Mora. Yeah, I am like overvoting. I just vote for Guillermo. I vote for Guillermo because he needs our votes.
Starting point is 00:48:21 He relies on votes. Right. Powered by votes. And they vote for Ezra just because like my fingers can't help themselves. I know. They just like sort do their thing. Like I'm overpowered. Like I have to make sure Ezra gets votes. Then Savannah bananas, Jackson Olson and Emma Slater. He was like actually making me sad. And I feel like part of the reason why maybe
Starting point is 00:48:37 Sierra was the one to go home and not Jackson was because like you could feel his sadness radiating through the TV. Like he's gotten so much hate this week. All the prediction markets were saying like he's the one going home. It's his birthday. And the fans have really, really turned on him on social media because he made that like silly comment about Guillermo. Like it was so inoffensive.
Starting point is 00:48:55 And Guillermo free him and they TikTok together. And like move on. Yeah. But the fans have just like decided they hate him now. And he just looked so sad and broken. And like honestly, I think he's of all of them. Like we said,
Starting point is 00:49:04 he's going back and forth from Savannah. I think he's like kind of not having fun anymore. and I just felt sad for him so I think maybe he got like a couple of pity votes. Oh. His dance stunk. He got a 21. Yeah, it is crazy that he didn't go home.
Starting point is 00:49:17 Sierra got a 20. What did Sierra get? 21. Oh, same exact score. Same score. So it comes down to vote. But she also went first and I just feel like had she not her score would have been lower.
Starting point is 00:49:27 Right, no, but they had the same score. So they're even there. So then when it comes down to which of the two of them is going home, it's completely about votes. So Savannah got more votes than Sierra. And you saw they brought Jackson a, birthday cake that was sponsored by Paris baguette. I didn't see that.
Starting point is 00:49:41 It must have been looking down. That's funny. Then Tatiana Ali and Janrovnik, they got a 20 out of 30. Yeah. They get less than Sierra and Jackson. I feel like jazz is a, like a bad style. Like, because both the jazz dances were really underwhelming in terms of their level of difficulty and like the way, like the way I felt.
Starting point is 00:50:00 Like I was not impressed. She's my girl. So I'm glad that she wasn't even in the bottom. I think she's a lot of fans. Like, I think her social media impact has been. Quite large. I just can't believe like we're 50 minutes into the show and this is still the first story. That's why I feel like that's why it goes at the end.
Starting point is 00:50:16 Well, no, but it goes at the end. Then it's shorter. We don't want it to be shorter. I guess. Julia Stiles with Edsorsosa, 21 out of 30. That's low. Yeah, I feel like. I'm surprised she didn't go.
Starting point is 00:50:25 So she also got more votes than Savannah. No, than Sierra. People do love her. And she's also like a good, like a big name. Do you know what I mean? A lot of people on this cast are like not that famous. And she's a big name. So I think it behooves them to continue.
Starting point is 00:50:38 to work with her. I know, like, you keep saying that someone is doing this. I really feel like there's no right person to go home. I know you think it's like a complete level playing field. I don't know why. I think it's one of the most secure elections in the world. Well, I think that if I remember from Mask Singer, they take like TV standards and practices, like legally on a competition show is very serious.
Starting point is 00:51:03 And they're actually really not allowed legally to tip the scales. I feel that in the dancing with the stars. Universe. Then Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov, they danced to Hero, 23 out of 30. Some of the criticism was that. Herian was really coming for her. I thought that their critiques.
Starting point is 00:51:23 They obviously dance beautifully. She's an amazing dancer. She has an amazing form and figure, and like she's a pleasure to watch. And she can do the tricks and the twists and the turns. Just like sculptural and everything. But they're not. They have no chemistry.
Starting point is 00:51:34 They have no chemistry. They have no friendship. They have no. Their packages, their social media, that they never come across my feed ever. I don't think that they actually like just connect in a emotional way. Yeah. And it's not translating physically.
Starting point is 00:51:46 I agree. It's just the sort of like bland. It's like just two people dancing beside each other. Dancing well. Dancing very well. Yeah. But she won't go home for a while. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:51:54 She's very technically proficient. Yeah. And that was the week. Then Sierra and Brandon went home, which was a shock. But as we've now discussed, it was really between the three lowest scores. And then I think it came down. down to votes. I do kind of wish they would be more clear about who's the bottom three.
Starting point is 00:52:11 Yeah. Do you know what I mean? I guess they don't want to like demoralize someone who's like always in the bottom three. Of course, but they say this doesn't necessarily mean you're in the bottom three. And then next week they say we were in the bottom. So which is it? Yeah. Maybe they mean that with the score.
Starting point is 00:52:24 But also maybe it is the bottom half. Maybe. But not exactly the bottom three. Next week is Super Bowl night, which sounds really fun. Yeah. What does that mean? Are we singing it to like great American anthems? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:52:36 Maybe everybody dances to wait and. all day for Sunday night. Half-time show songs. Oh, okay. No, no, no, it's gonna be amazing. No, of course, of course. That just means they're like good popular songs. Who's dancing to Roar by Katie Perry?
Starting point is 00:52:48 That's a good one. No, it isn't. Oh, really? I feel like it's such. Whenever I think of like big anthems at the Super Bowl. Oh, yeah, for the Super Bowl, but not to dance to. No, they can make anything good. Like.
Starting point is 00:52:56 No, no, no. You want Gaga. You want Bruno. You have to think about, it's not just like the last couple of years. You have to think of like. Yeah. You could do Michael Jackson. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:05 Yeah. or a cold play. Oh, like a Viennese waltz to Viva LaVita. That's beautiful. Yeah. Okay, well, we'll see you next week. Are you ready for our next story? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:53:18 Our second story. The other reality stars who weren't on Dancing with the Stars last night went to the Virtual Reality Awards. Oh, they did. That's, I guess, why nobody from Summer House was at Dancing with Stars because they wouldn't miss this for the world. For sure, last night. But what about the last three days?
Starting point is 00:53:32 No, of course. Or even like just being overly supportive on social media. So the Virtual Reality Awards, are like page six's pop culture podcast and they had an award show for reality stars. Mostly Bravo. And such, so the stars were out as far as award winners.
Starting point is 00:53:50 Breakout star was Ariana Bierman. I saw that and you know what? I think it was an inspired choice. Who else was nominated? It's a good list of nominees, Trinity, from Love Island. Mia Calabrese from Summerhouse and Alicia Carmody from Rhode Island.
Starting point is 00:54:05 Oh, I do feel like it's pay to play show up to win type of thing. Yeah. And Ariana was there. But I also think she is a breakout star. She is a breakout star, yes. But I was probably like a bigger breakout star. Style icon of the year went to Meredith Marks.
Starting point is 00:54:18 Nominated alongside her was Bronwyn, Newport, which she is very stylish. Ariana Maddox and Paris Hilton. Like what? Okay. Okay. Favorite dynamic duo. Oh, this is cute. The nominees were Austin, Kroll, and Sally Carson.
Starting point is 00:54:34 No. Layla and Miranda from Slamu. No. What? Chazelle Brian and Robin Dixon. Not anymore. Maybe. Not anymore.
Starting point is 00:54:44 And the winners, Lindsay Hubbard and Gemma. That's really cute. I'm crying. That's very cute. Hoddy of the Year. Us. Bryce Alkalai from Love Island. Robert Irwin.
Starting point is 00:54:57 L.O.L. Frazier O'Lander. Below deck. And Kyle Cook, who won? Like I said, it's a show up to win type of thing. Best Reunion Performance. Okay, that's actually a very good award. Maddie Reese.
Starting point is 00:55:14 I think she's on. New Jen, next gen? Southern Hospitality. Okay. She didn't win. They served. Joellen, Tibre. She did have a good performance.
Starting point is 00:55:25 Karen Hugar. I didn't watch. And the winner, Sierra Miller. It was her year. Oh, yes. It was her reunion. She, of course, couldn't show up to accept the award. Musician of the year.
Starting point is 00:55:34 Gina Shea. Ashley Darby. Drew Sedora and the winner, Luann Della Sepps. She is the performer of the decade, like literally. This is fun. It's funny. Best Return to Screen. Cow Radswell, Lala Kent, Vicki Gumbelson,
Starting point is 00:55:52 and the winner, Teresa Judice, Melissa Gorga, and Dolores, Katania. For, what did they do? What? Were they an ultimate? Those are all bad nominees. No, just Teresa. No, cow is a good nominee. She returned to the screen.
Starting point is 00:56:05 I asked did Lala. Yeah, yeah. But like, they weren't the best, is what I'm saying. Yeah. Oh, quote of the year. This is good. Mara Higgins, I tink. That's a good one.
Starting point is 00:56:15 Liz McGraw, you were never homeless. You were never homeless. Melanie, give me 10. Like, I seriously, I hate when people, like, still use that sound. It wasn't funny then. It's not funny now. The winner, Rosie Woods, DeMar. You're a fucking slag.
Starting point is 00:56:30 Plant pig. Hardee. Not the Real House is of Rhode Island, like, cleaning up at the Page Six Award. The best cast went Jersey Shore family vacation. Traders. Love Thineater. The winner is Real Houses of Rhode Island. All the real houses of Rhode Island showed up.
Starting point is 00:56:45 I saw a video of them leaving their hotel. So the whole cast was there. They had to sort of. And like you could do guests to cast about like any show. Love thy nater. They're just sisters. No, and I just want to say if we are going by like the actual cast, like Traders cast was insane. Like that's my winner.
Starting point is 00:56:57 And Jersey Shore like that's been the cast. Yeah. That's like kind of the whole point. Yeah. So that's just funny. Anyways, that Sally and Austin were spotted at their award. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Layla showed up with her new girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:57:09 Oh, right, right, right. And we knew that she was gay, right? She came out as, like, bisexual. Yes, yes, and she was on Jay Shetty. Oh, was that what it was? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, classic J. We're always talking about Jay Shetty here.
Starting point is 00:57:20 Making waves. So, like, that's what the stars were up to. Are you ready for our next story? I am ready for our next story. If it's our next story that's brought to you by Audible. Mm-hmm. We are super excited to be collaborating with Audible.

Our next story little award show news, the Emmy Awards will exit broadcast television and head to Amazon's prime video. So much like the Oscars, which are going to YouTube. Are they?
Starting point is 01:02:20 Mm-hmm. That's what I just read. Wait. In 2029. Sorry. I feel like that's really crazy. Because it's not crazy for an award show to go to a streamer. The Oscars is considered the most highbrow.
Starting point is 01:02:32 And I would say, like, YouTube is considered the most lowbrow streamer. Like, I don't know why. It didn't say YouTube TV, even. Like, it just said YouTube. Like, I feel like if the Oscars went, we should go to, like, Netflix. That's just sort of like an equal pairing. The Golden Globes should obviously go to the, you know, the most amazing streamer ever because the golden gloves are amazing.
Starting point is 01:02:47 And that's like the best award show. And the only one. one I really care about. It's only one I'll be watching this year. Whether or not I'm there, of course. The Emmys, though, if you are watching, starting in 2027, they will be on Prime Video for six years.
Starting point is 01:03:01 That's fine. I have no problem with that. Prime Video, anytime I've had to watch something live, sometimes they have, like, football games. It's pleasant. They don't have, like, tech issues. Like Netflix, like, Loki has so many tech issues with, like, the Love is Blind Live Reunion.
Starting point is 01:03:13 Like, I'm always buffering. And, oh, the fights, the fights are always hell. Yeah. So sure, fine. Yeah. like major moves for the streamers. Love that. Major moves for the streamers.
Starting point is 01:03:23 This just continues. Like earlier in the week, we were talking about Sundance. What's it called? Sky Dance. Sky dance. But if you are like looking to buy an award show for your streamer, like the golden globes are the best one.
Starting point is 01:03:32 Might I suggest the golden globes? They're so amazing. You're not paying enough for them. Agreed. Probably no streamers can afford them. That's probably what it is. Don't you find? Also, you know, Nikki Laser is hosting for the third year in a row.
Starting point is 01:03:43 At first, I just want to say like, like, my journey is like, when we saw the list, I was like, not only are we not going to get nominated. I don't want to be nominated. Like, this is seriously so much for me. Like, I'm overwhelmed. Like, I'm really, like, grateful.
Starting point is 01:03:55 Now I'm entering. I've started to, like, think percolating about what would we like to go. We kind of, like, need to be nominated. And, like, what it would feel like to go. And then it'll be like, we need to be nominated, but we don't want to win. No, no, no. And then once you get the nomination, it's like, we have to win. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:09 People have been asking, like, if they can vote, what they can do. I don't know. I don't know. I mean, like. There's, no, no, you can't vote. I don't know what anyone can do for us. Except pray. prayer the power of prayer is so real and manifest yes for those of you who are not religious who engage um
Starting point is 01:04:25 um i don't know i don't know what can be done we do have to like officially submit ourselves oh yeah let's make sure to do that yeah of course we need to choose i think i don't know how many episodes oh right we just we discussed it right we need to put ourselves forth with certain episodes that we feel reflect us in the most positive light okay maybe this one maybe oh no i think the period ended Oh yeah, it's episodes in 2026 up until like the day they announced the list like yesterday. So this wouldn't come. No amount of asking. So we could do no amount of asking but we can do like a shit job for the rest of the year and it won't affect our standing in the goals and gloves.
Starting point is 01:04:56 Just our standing on the charts and the reason I got it. Whatever. Whatever. Shout out to luminate. Shout out. And all that data you provide. And of course shout out to like all of our sponsors and just everyone who makes this show. Everyone was a part of the toast in any way even if it just means listening or even just watching the clips.
Starting point is 01:05:09 So the Emmys are going to Amazon Prime. And we are going to the Golden World. nominated to be nominated to go to the Golden Goulds. Exactly what my sister said. And then our last story is some casting news, which sounds exciting. Jessica Beale will be playing Hugh Hefner's wife in a new movie called Playmates. Olive Madison? Unclear.
Starting point is 01:05:33 Jessica Beal is so random to me. I know. But the logline for the movie, which sounds good, is L. is a 13-year-old, No-it-all who considers the Playboy. Who considers the Playboy Mansion her second home? She meets Anna, played by Lily Rose Depp, one of seven hopefuls vying to be Playmate of the month. The two form an unlikely friendship and try to help each other get what the other
Starting point is 01:05:55 ones most. A magazine cover for the Playmate and a boy for the 13-year-old, I think. I'm sorry. You're going to need to explain this movie to me again, because why is there a 13-year-old? Who thinks of the Playboy mansion is. Who's going for a second home? She's not going for Playmate.
Starting point is 01:06:11 Oh, oh, oh. She befriends one of the seven girls going through. So what is she like a wayward child who like is a ward of of the mansion? I don't know. And who's Jessica Beal told it? Jessica Beal will be playing the wife of Hugh Hefner in the film who is herself a former play date. Playmate. Play date.
Starting point is 01:06:26 While Hugh was married multiple times in real life, the character she's playing will be fictional. Okay. I have no idea what's going on. I wish them all the best. It sounds like like like. And you know what? Jessica Beal doesn't act a lot. And in the last like 10 years, when she has,
Starting point is 01:06:42 She, like, always is in things that are, like, really well received. Her last, that show on Hulu or prime about the sister. Yeah. The good sister or whatever. People loved. And then before that, she was in the, uh, the TV show about the, remember Elizabeth Olson? Yep. Candy.
Starting point is 01:06:58 Yeah. They made two TV shows about the same exact, like, saga in practice. I watched Elizabeth Olson. I watch Elizabeth Olson. I have every confidence that Jessica feels like. I know. Theirs was first, by the way. Theirs came out first.
Starting point is 01:07:07 So she doesn't act a lot. I feel like she has, like, a pretty high bar for scripts. And I think they have a lot of money. So she, like, acts when she feels like. it. And I will also say like the Playboy Mansion, Hugh Hefner, is not something that's really been... Played out. Excavated and especially in a fictional sense. So I think
Starting point is 01:07:20 this sounds like a good movie. Yeah, I've no problem with it. Lily Rose Depp is a talented actress. Although the way I feel about Lily Rose Depp is like the total opposite of Jessica Beale, I feel like everything Lily Rose Depp is in is bad. Like she's a bad picker. That HBO show about like the pop star with the weekend. That was really bad. And I don't know why. I've actually never seen her in anything
Starting point is 01:07:39 so I just feel like she doesn't have a lot of commercial success. But I feel like she could be talented. Do you think her and Johnny get along? Like, never seen the two together. I don't know. I don't know either. Have I seen her in anything? I haven't.
Starting point is 01:07:57 Oh, she played Pamela Anderson. I saw the other Pamela Anderson one with, what's her name? Elizabeth James? No. Lily James. That was a good one. The unauthorized is Pamela Anderson was upset about that one. But it was good.
