Starting point is 00:00:09 It's Jackson, Claude and every show that that's five things you need to know. We'll start your day off, swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Monday. Have it report my fluke like symptoms have subsided. I'm so bad. You can probably hear it like in like this sort of chipper nature of my voice.
Starting point is 00:00:33 Yes, we can hear it in the chipper nature. In the cheaper nature. And although my flukelyx symptoms have subsided, it didn't stop us from spending no time together this weekend. Like I was just sort of quarantined. So hey, how are you? I'm good. How are you? I've missed you.
Starting point is 00:00:47 You did? I don't even think I saw you since toast. No, I like ran out of here. I'm so not feeling good. Which is nuts. I'm not saying in Jackie's house anymore, by the way. I just want to make that clear. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:55 No, she wasn't in my room. I wasn't in her room, like, quarantined. So I really didn't see you all weekend. How are you? How was your weekend? I'm good. My weekend was great. Lots of fun.
Starting point is 00:01:03 Cowboys won. Huge for the community. So do the chiefs. I happen to be like on the channel. How did the Fortnite is too? I'm not sure. Because you know, like, that's your family. Yeah, like, in our family, like Jackie's family,
Starting point is 00:01:15 like the Cowboys of the Cowboys, Shapiro's love the Giants. And we're not really like a football family. We're the Knicks, obviously. Softers love the 49ers. And so all the kids are like, does Ruby love 49ers? I'm like, sure, yeah, I bought him a shirt. No, they ask you what is Ruby love. And like, if you think about what team you and Ben love,
Starting point is 00:01:29 like it's the one where you know the most people. Oh, and actually I saw Olivia Coppo story. I think they won. And it's the 49ers. Yeah. And of course, Ruby feels a kinship to Colette McCaffrey. Of course, his fellow mogul. Picolette CEO and founder.
Starting point is 00:01:43 Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's a great weekend, but I literally didn't see you. Yeah, I know. So we have a lot of catching up to do. Yeah, I bought a pair of sunglasses. Not a big deal. I went to the mall.
Starting point is 00:01:50 It was so hot yesterday. Yeah. But it's like better than it's been. It was in the 80s. It's been in the 90s. It was in the 90s yesterday. Was it? The mall was popping.
Starting point is 00:01:58 The only place to be was the mall. That's great. Oh, my God. Air conditioning was pumping. We were watching football. Oh, and major update in my life. I'm now an intramural mom. And more than that.
Starting point is 00:02:09 And I didn't know what kind of like intramural sports mother I would be. I could have guessed. Let me tell you I'm very intense. Well, you know, we were actually raised by a crazy intramural sport parent. Our dad used to come and like legit embarrassed the shit out of us. Like get thrown out, screaming, screaming.
Starting point is 00:02:26 And we were like pretty good. So like I get why it was like fun and exciting for him. So it's kind of in your blood. It is in my blood. And I'm a competitive person. You are. Like I said, I'm in it to win it. Which, by the way, remind me I want to say one more thing about dancing with the stars.
Starting point is 00:02:38 Sure, sure, sure. All that aside, we started intramural sports, and I got to see what kind of, you know, soccer mom I will be. I got to hear what kind of mom you would be. I tell you. I'm not saying to my seat. No, of course not. Who could? I saw the ball.
Starting point is 00:02:51 I saw the ball. You're literally going to get kicked out. And more than just being like an intense soccer mom, I'm also the coach's wife. Huge responsibility, by the way. Did you provide snacks? We did provide snacks. You did? Yes.
Starting point is 00:03:05 Our family was in charge of snacks. Like, are you always in charge of snacks? or then each kid takes a turn. Just yesterday was our turn for snacks. It's honestly a lot of pressure. And I understand. Like I would love to do orange. Especially in this day and age, like,
Starting point is 00:03:16 allergens. Of course. I would love to do orange slices because I think that's a great, like you don't want like a thick snack. A sugary, yeah. Or even we wound up going with pretzels. A timeless classic.
Starting point is 00:03:29 I know, but like it's a very drying snack when you're in the middle of an intense sporting game. I guess that's true. And what beverages did you provide simply water? Just small water models. Small individual water bottles. Like, I think that when I felt good about it. I wasn't going to do juice.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Like we need to hydrate them. No, no, no. When we used to play like intramural leagues, like we were literally eating like pop them donuts, sugary sodas on the sidelines. Like times have changed. You cannot pull shit like that anymore. So we've-it's Thrive Market or bust. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:54 So we got pretzels because I felt like that was safe. But it was also like, I don't know. Like pretzels didn't feel right. So we also got like the mango fruit strips. Love that. Yeah. A little fruity. Did you happen to get grain-free pretzels?
Starting point is 00:04:05 Like you never know with these kids. No, we didn't. Pretzels are like pretty allergen. They are. They're pretty safe. Yeah. They're pretty safe. And like if you're allergic to pretzels, like you probably brought your own snack.
Starting point is 00:04:15 If you're allergic to pretzels, like I don't think you can play in an intramural league. Like it's sort of a dire circumstance. So not only was I the mom, but I'm the coach's wife, which is a lot of response. Ain't it good to be the coach? That begs the question. Ain't it good to be the couch? It is. Is it?
Starting point is 00:04:30 Or it's a lot of pressure? It is. So far it's been great. Are you going to be hosting like team practice at your house? I think so. We need to practice. Big time. So you lost.
Starting point is 00:04:37 We definitely need to practice. Are they at the age where they declare winners and losers? I feel like for a while... Oh, they did. So you were just a big loser. I feel like for a while, I thought they don't like... And kids need to lose. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Like, it's not like real one. One of you stunk in one or you didn't. But I feel like in this day and age, like, until they turn like 10, they don't tell them who wins and who, like what the score is. Oh, not in wherever I am. Like, which... Okay. I wouldn't enroll in a league that doesn't have winners and losers.
Starting point is 00:05:03 And now, like, we have something to work towards. Of course. Those kids were definitely bigger than our kids, though. The odds were stacked against you. It's true. It was like Lobo Gym. Literally. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:16 And you're just average shows. And we were average shows. And we're going to take the championship. It's Jackie, it's just the beginning. It's just the beginning. Eyes on the ball. Deep bend. I'm running for you.
Starting point is 00:05:25 I am rooting for you. That is hilarious. Yeah, it was hysterical. So that's what I was up to. Well, I was just like kind of losing sleep. You know, do I look tired? No, you look beautiful. Not a true question.
Starting point is 00:05:36 I feel like I've been put into the job. No, not a true question. I had such a crazy evening. I had this like, you know, the pregnancy dreams are just horrible. Vivid. So I had this absolutely like horrendous dream that Ben died.
Starting point is 00:05:46 And when I like woke up in the middle of the night like choking, I couldn't get over it. Like I woke Ben up and like literally I probably laid in bed crying for two hours. Like I literally couldn't go back to sleep. Finally go back to sleep only for like my alarm to come up 30 minutes later. And so obviously I was in such a bad mood because I had just fallen back asleep. And so I'm like spending the whole morning like raging at Ben. And he was like you were literally five minutes.
Starting point is 00:06:05 It's like how crying that you were going to miss me so much when I died. And now you're screaming at me. The duality of woman. The duality of women. I just remembered my dream. It was very vivid and kind of a nightmare. You pregnant? No, it was that I decided to sit down for an interview.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Such as this? It was like an interview with a photo shoot where they were going to make me look ugly on purpose, you know? Oh my God. Why would you sit down for that? I don't know. Who was the interviewer? I don't know. Like some weird girl and she said like she had watched two people.
Starting point is 00:06:35 hatred. And like she didn't even a fan. And I was already like planning in my head when I was going to text my publicist like how dare you. I'm cracking up. That is a nightmare. It was enough to me. I never, not that I was doing any interviews and I don't do interviews. Um, but I feel like reassured in my belief that I will not be giving an interview. And then like right before I woke up, she started to ask me a question about like what it's like to be plus size. Oh. I don't know what to say. I don't know what to say that. Like that's. It's a trap. It was a trap. Yeah. It's a chair for you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:16 So we got new chairs, by the way. We have new chairs. Trying to change the subject. We got new chairs. After Jackie's... Oh, and we have custom pillows, yeah. And like, we just need the pillows to be seen. And maybe it could be like an emotional support pillow after the nightmares that we've had.
Starting point is 00:07:29 We have custom pillows, boot clay chairs. And we're just like genuinely unstoppable. We're unstoppable. And I also wanted to say about Dancing with the Stars because I had a thought. Oh, yeah. Here's your thought. Because my new favorite, like, mental game is like thinking about us on Dancing with the Stars. How could we?
Starting point is 00:07:41 Could we? Would we? No. Someone commented. something that sort of sent me on a tailspin into our ideal scenario for Dancing with the Stars. They said that we would have to do it together. Yeah. And yes, we would have to be on the same season, much like Jen and Whitney. Well, much like Jen and Whitney. But we are bound by blood. They always hated each other. We love each other. We would support each other. That way we could like all move out to
Starting point is 00:08:03 LA. We would do the show. Like it would be as difficult transatlantic. Right, right, right. And as sisters, we would have to compete with brothers. Val and Maxim. Okay, I'm down. Wouldn't that be interesting? What do you guys want to watch that? I just feel like it's hard to get cast on Dancing with the Stars, let alone twice. You know what I mean? But we're huge stars.
Starting point is 00:08:23 And honestly, there's not a lot of huge stars on the show. Like, I feel confident that I'm famous enough right now to go on Dancing with the Stars, given the cast of Dancing with the Stars. Right. I might not have said that last year, but this year I'll definitely say it for us. And they want more influencers in digital people. Like, you can feel that. They're casting a wide net. and it's us
Starting point is 00:08:45 1,000% I'm not at a place right now where I would be able to I'm not at a place either and I don't know when that time will be so until further notice
Starting point is 00:08:56 I'll just happen to be you know Tyler Cameron's friends and family but that's my dream scenario like we do it together I don't know if my dream scenario involves being on Dancing with the Stars like I just don't I don't think I have what it takes
Starting point is 00:09:08 I really don't physically emotionally it's like a super It's like a very mentally tough game too. It is. And I don't know if you've heard about what's going. I saw Emma made a TikTok talking about like how her and Jackson, I think she was trying to get people to like give them grace because like they're not getting better. And she was like, we're flying back and forth to Savannah multiple times a week.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Like, why? Why are you going? I guess she's going to practice with him. But yeah, the way that I feel just watching social media is like it's a little too much dancing on the field and not enough dancing in the studio. Yeah. And so I think she wanted people to understand like that that's why. Because it just looks like they're making TikToks all week. long. It does look like they're making TikTok. But I guess
Starting point is 00:09:43 like she has to be there to choreograph him during his games. He can't just take like a couple of weeks off from the bananas. He's only one who can't get PTO. Like when everybody is like a working person. I think a lot of them don't get PTO. Like Harry Shum Jr. is actively filming Crazy Anatomy. But it's all on the same lot in L.A. He happens to have like sort of an inconveniently located job. Like Fibyla's podcasting. I saw his clips talking about Dancing with the Stars. I'm sure his studios 20 minutes from Dancing with the Stars. I don't think it affects, that could be us.
Starting point is 00:10:11 I don't think it affects a lot of people in the way that it's affecting Jackson. Well, I'm sorry Jackson, but you should have thought of that. Like, it's not my problem. He should have taken, like, a sabbatical, a savannical. And I think that the bananas corporate, like, would have been happy to. I'm sure they're thrilled that he's doing this. This is, like, a great huge get for the team. Yeah, so I think they would have been fine if he missed a couple weeks.
Starting point is 00:10:31 There's literally no need for them to be flying back and forth to Georgia. Like, that's insane. That's insane. Yeah. Only to be stinking it up every week. Yeah. Not necessary. Agreed.
Starting point is 00:10:41 I was dancing with the stars, so we will hold off on talking about it. We will keep it in our pants. But I just needed to just like put manifest that. Yeah, manifest girl. I'm not doing it without you. No pressure. You might have to. Like I'm so,
Starting point is 00:10:51 I'll be your dedication night. Of course, we'll do like a sexy samba. Three sum me and Maxim. Maxim will come out of retirement just to be your coach. I don't think I honestly like I can't. Like I can't do it. And also like the fandom is mean. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:08 Oh my God. It's so true. It's like, meaner people. It's sort of like a baptism by Facebook group. It's true. It's true. But I think it's like on a huge level. Like what we experience 10x. I guess. But it's like if you don't open your phone, like it doesn't exist. It doesn't exist. Yeah. It's like people are, you're walking down the street and they're throwing tomatoes at you. No, no, but I think that they do. No, I think it's fine. And I think, I think they'll love me. I think they'll love you too. I will be front row. I'm going to be
Starting point is 00:11:32 like Hada Brown, you know, where I'm sitting behind El Paso. You're going to be like Chessie to my lane. Oh,000 percent. Love that. Yeah. But you know, the hard part of that I don't think you're going to be able to do. You like can't be on Dancing with the Stars if you don't have a TikTok. Honestly, you would be the first contestant in history. Yeah, they'd be hiring me like for my digital. Right. And you don't even have a digital presence. Would you make an account?
Starting point is 00:11:56 Yeah. Sure. I would run it. That would be my job. My social media coordinator. Love that. I'm cracking up. What are the stories like today? We actually have a lot to talk about. Oh, we do?
Starting point is 00:12:07 A lot of stuff that like I'm excited to talk about. I know you'll be excited to when you hear what they are. Oh, sounds like there's a little surprise in store. No, not surprise, but just things you don't realize we're going to be talking about today. Like things that you were jazzed about. Sounds like an ambush. I was jazzed about, like I texted you about it. Yeah, like we're popping off in our group chat all weekend about.
Starting point is 00:12:28 Tiny Suckabriot? Yes. You guys. Very exciting. I wasn't like in, this is a COVID Instagram drama that I never really got into. This is Olivia Aschre's Roman Empire. Thus, we are privy to the information because our- Olivia is always like kept us.
Starting point is 00:12:39 us abreast about this drama. And you know what? She was right for caring about it. Because when I saw the video of it like, this is like the final step in this big like COVID stupid scandal that we'll tell you guys that. I was like, oh my God, you know what? Good for her. Yeah. Good for her.
Starting point is 00:12:53 So yes, let's dive and I am excited to talk about that. Without further, a do-da-do-do. It is time for the fast five stories that you to do need to know. And the fast five stories that you need to know are brought to you by Quince. You guys know those pieces in your closet that you find yourself reaching for over and over again, a sweater that somehow works with everything. jeans you know will fit just right always or a bag that you carry everywhere. Well, those are the pieces that earn a permanent place in your wardrobe, and that's exactly what Quince does so well.
Starting point is 00:13:15 So Quince is a website. They make elevated everyday essentials using premium materials like Mongolian cashmere, organic cotton, premium stretch denim. They have timeless designs, thoughtfully crafted items that are made to be worn again and again and again. So the thing about Quince is like they're obsessed with quality and materials. And so I feel like when I became a mom, I really started noticing like what the baby's clothes were made of. and then obviously like that transferred to myself. So it's important to shop where like you know you're getting sweaters that are made of like real materials, not plastic. But that can be really expensive.
Starting point is 00:13:45 And Quince really does the balance so well. So everything at Quince is made with like really insane materials. Like I said, Mungolian cashmure sweaters. Really soft, really high quality. 100% organic cotton. But everything at Quince is priced about 50 to 80% less than similar brands. So they work directly with ethical factories. They cut out the middleman and then pass savings on to the customer.
Starting point is 00:14:03 So you just end up paying for quality, not like an absurd brand markup. It's not just about apparel either. They bring that same level of quality to everything they make. They make bedding. That's like hotel quality. They make kitchen essentials, bath essentials, furniture. They even make well-designed pieces for everyday living. So find the fall pieces that you'll reach for most at Quince.
Starting point is 00:14:19 I've got tons of cashmere sweaters, trousers, trousers, cardigans, like clothing that I've literally worn. And of course, I got baby clothes too because they have a lot of organic cotton. Download the Quince app for app exclusive offers. You can go to Quince.com today to earn 365-day returns and free shipping on your order. Now also available in Canada and the UK. That's how you know, tis the season. Tertie ordered her minted holiday cards.
Starting point is 00:14:44 So whether you're getting married, decorating your home, buying personalized stationary, throwing a shower, if you have a paper need, whether it's like a menu or an invitation. I have a lot of paper needs. Stationary. If you're writing thank you cards, you just had a baby. And a lot of paper wants. And paper needs. And paper desires. I have desires for paper. And minted is just the go-to for all things paper. I think a lot of swirlies. Learn about minted when they're getting married. Because when you're getting married, You need programs and menus and, you know, gift favors, things like that. And then you end up, like, as you grow up, you need, like, a lot of paper things.
Starting point is 00:15:13 So then you're writing handwritten notes for your thank you notes. Then you're having a baby. Then you're sending out a baby shower invitation. Thank you, cards for all the baby gifts. It's really sweet. And then you, of course, get to the phase where you're doing holiday cards. And, of course, you get to the phase where you want custom stationary for yourself, so you can be a classy lady lady.
Starting point is 00:15:26 So if you're thinking about doing a holiday card this year, just so, you know, I fully endorse. It's, like, a very classy, mature thing to do. And the holidays do sneak up. So October is a perfect time to browse their holiday card collection early. you can pick your design and your photo. I just did it. I'm like so proud of myself. And skip the November,
Starting point is 00:15:39 scramble, and you will thank yourself in December. They have free recipient addressing too. I think a lot of people don't want to do holiday cards because it's like we're not handwriting everyone's addresses like that. That is insane. Well, they have free recipient addressing. So they will print all your loved ones addresses on the envelopes for free. You can also upload your address book now.
Starting point is 00:15:55 So when your holiday cards arrive, like you're fully ready to go. Use code toast for 20% off your order at minted. That's code T-O-A-S-T for 20% off holiday cards, weddings, parties, personalized stationary, framed photos, and more. I love sending holiday cards. I also love receiving holiday cards. And they're always like some, supporting different initiatives. And this time of year, they're supporting Save the Children, which is wonderful, just a great way to get your groceries and also do some good, you know, a little bit of time management. They have so many members. It's $5 a month for the membership. It is so easy. They have tons of different items. Like, I'm in like the pouches, meals, snacks where we cannot have enough on hand. Like seriously, one bag of snacks lasts us maybe 48 hours. Get stocked before Halloween. You can get $30 off your first two orders, but only when you go to thrivemarket.com slash the toast.
Starting point is 00:17:30 Today's episode is also brought to you by what the fact. If you've ever cried at Netflix, his love on the spectrum, you already love Connor Tomlinson. Well, turns out he's also a massive history and pop culture nerd. And now he has his own podcast called What the Fact with co-host Carter Roy. Every Wednesday, they get into insane but true stories, like really good fast five, but with the full story behind it. So like they do the original Little Red Riding Hood, ends with her getting eaten, printed as a warning to young women about charming men, or Layla, one of the great love songs in rock history, was it actually written about the singer's best friend's wife, or even Cleopatra's seductress who took down Rome reputation, fake news invented by her enemy.
Starting point is 00:18:04 So you're getting that same more in feeling as love on the spectrum, plus Conner's deep cuts and infectious enthusiasm. You will laugh, smile, and just walk away smarter. So subscribe at YouTube.com slash at what the fact pod for a new episode every Wednesday. That's a what the fact. New episodes drop every Wednesday on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or subscribe on YouTube at what the fact pod. Thank you, what the turt. You're welcome, what the jerk. Today's episode is also brought to you by Haya, children's vitamins that are just kind of taken the world by storm.
Starting point is 00:18:30 Because, you know, back in the day, we were popping those like sugary. not good. And they still sell them, which is so crazy. Kids these days with all the processed foods, like, we don't even know the long-term effects, but we do know there's a lot of nutritional gaps in the average American child. And so Ohio set out to bridge that gap. And I think that's beautiful. They really will be quickly added into your routine as a parent. It's very easy. It pairs great with breakfast on the car right to school. They taste really good. Kids love them. The bottles are super fun. And the ingredients are, of course, non-GMO, vegan, dairy-free, allergy-free, gelatin-free. They've really thought of everything. And what's inside of them is
Starting point is 00:19:03 vitamin D, B12, C, zinc, folate, all the foundational nutrients that support immune health and the rapid growth that kids go through. It's designed for kids two and up. You can get Haya at Target, or you can also have a chip straight to your door. And when you buy online, you get an awesome reusable bottle with stickers. And it's like, it's so simple, like stickers. The kids love them. Like, really, they do. You get that with your first order and then they send refills every month, which keeps the parental mental load a lot lighter. Plus, if you've got teens in the house too, Haya just launched a teen daily multivitamin. And it's honestly overdue in this category. It's not just a bigger dose of the kids formula. It's built specifically
Starting point is 00:19:34 for that next chapter, which is ages 13 and up. It packs 15 plus vitamins and minerals into a bioavailable methylated form B-12, B-6, folate, in the forms that the body doesn't have to work so hard to convert. And we've worked out a special deal with Haya to receive 50% off your first order of their products. To claim this deal, you must go to
Starting point is 00:19:50 Hayahealth.com slash toast. This deal is not available on their regular website, H-I-A health.com slash T-O-A-S-T to get your kids the full body nourishment that they need. Thank you that they turt. You're welcome. They definitely turt. Our first story, Dakota Johnson hosted SNL this weekend and Taylor Swift made an appearance. Yes. So, of course, I only saw the monologue because that's the only part Taylor was in. Oh,
Starting point is 00:20:10 and I also saw the end credits because that's also the part that Taylor was in. And I saw the sketch with the sketch bros. What? The sketch bros. Who's that? Oh, you know, one of the guys is leaving. I saw it today. You know the three. Sketch bros. Oh, oh, he's leaving. Martin. Which one is that? Hurley brown hair. Hmm. Martin. What's the name of their sketch? Grow? Give me a second. I want to remember.
Starting point is 00:20:34 Try guys. Don't try this at home. Literally. Wait, burn this. Burn after reading. Something like that. Wait, hold on. I really want to get it on my own
Starting point is 00:20:42 before we look it up. It's like important to me. Because you love them. Check yes, Juliet? Like something like, what is it? Please don't just. That's literally what I said.
Starting point is 00:20:55 Please don't try this. That's not a name of a band. Yeah. The toast is the name of a comedy troupe. It is. So I saw her sketch with, please don't destroy this. Got it, okay. So I watched her monologue, and it's funny because they, I saw then, like, people comparing it to her.
Starting point is 00:21:11 This is her second time. And the first time she did it was like, right when she's this, like, new girl in town, she's releasing 50 shades. And it's actually, I know I say it all the time. It's insane that she got that role. Like, when I'm watching her on SNL, I'm like, like, why would anyone give this? She was so just like a, and I love her. But she was so just like a regular girl who had never acted before.
Starting point is 00:21:30 and I was like, I couldn't believe it. Now, she looked amazing. And her whole monologue was about how, like, she's just, like, known for dating musicians. And I'm like, oh, I guess this is the first time I put together, like, the last couple of guys you've been seen with are musicians. Last two. Three.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Two. Role model, your boyfriend, Chris Martin, and Machine Gun Kelly. Machine Gun Kelly. That was one time. I just felt like she was really trying hard to, like, make that trope a thing. Right. But it's like, I actually don't see her as, like, a bed hoppin, musician hopper. Not at all.
Starting point is 00:21:58 She was in a long-term relationship with. Chris Martin, then she, like, had a flink. She sort of minimized it, too. Like, you go to a concert and leave with a two and a half year relationship. Like, okay, that was like your boyfriend. It felt like 10 years, first of all. I don't know why. I just, like, I kind of felt like the monologue in its entirety.
Starting point is 00:22:13 Like, she's really belittled her. No, the monologue was very bad. Yeah. I don't know why she wants, like, that to be the association, considering none of us think that of her. I have never thought that, A, the amount of boyfriends she's had has been weird or too much or that she has, like, a certain type that you only, I guess I was like, Oh, oh yeah, they are.
Starting point is 00:22:31 She was acting like she had to address the elephant in the room. It's kind of like when Taylor did SNL when she was like 22 and like she was having a million boyfriends and that's like the thing everyone was always saying about her. And she did like address it in her monologue when she made that like cute little song. But like no one was waiting for Dakota. Not at all. I thought it was a weird monologue. But then they brought out Taylor and I was fine.
Starting point is 00:22:52 I thought it was weird and unfunny as well. And I just the bar is so high for her because like she is like so stellar. She is. She's just like firing. on all cylinders at all times. I'm just going to blame the writers. However, like, I do feel like Dakota. One has a sense of humor, so, like, has input. And she's a lot of lore, too. She's like a NEPO baby. Like, I feel like there's there. She was just in Taylor's. No, she was in Taylor's music video. She's friends with like so many celebrities. She canceled Ellen. Like, she started the
Starting point is 00:23:16 Ellen cancellation. Well, that's not true, Ellen. And so, like, we could have talked about literally anything. And I just feel like what she talked about was kind of reductive to women. Yeah. I said it. Yeah. And I'm just surprised that she, like, enthusiastically participated in that when she. she doesn't have to. Like maybe the first time she did S&L, like, you're gonna say,
Starting point is 00:23:33 you just do what you're told. Right. But now she's like so Aetless. And even the bit about Taylor. Like not to be like, they did not pass the Bechtel test. Like it was so like, this is my therapist.
Starting point is 00:23:45 I cry about all the boys to Taylor. And it's like we're bringing out the biggest movie star, sorry, singer pop star in the world. Like we're talking about your ex-boyfriends. Like, I don't know. I just thought it was like reductive. Yeah, I'm gonna say reductive again. And it's not like it's, she's Pete.
Starting point is 00:24:00 Davidson. It's a stretch. It's all. What about him? He was spotted out with an influencer. Judas Batchelder. He was out. Judas Batchelder. Well, her name is, I think, Haley. He was with Hallie. Yeah, but Judas. Oh, he was with Hallie and Zara. Okay. I know he was, like, out with an influencer, which is funny because he's like, still. No, and it's like, not cool girls. Like, honestly, not cool. You're supposed to have the back of your fellow. I think Hallie's friends with Paige. Maybe Paige will give her talking to. Paige would not allow this. So yeah, Dakota on SNL. Like, QT and Taylor. By the way, don't she feel like her outfit?
Starting point is 00:24:38 Not as like looked too much into it. Like her whole look is giving like, she and Kelly's girlfriend, like wanting to like be a little bit Megan Foxy. I really hope that's not true. And I'm not going to lie, I don't like the outfit. Oh, well, when you're so skinny and pretty, like you can actually wear anything to look at it.
Starting point is 00:24:53 You always look at, I didn't say she looks bad. I said I don't like the outfit. Yeah. I wouldn't like, I didn't see this. Someone was like sleigh. No, no. I didn't have a problem with it, but I did immediately think, like, oh, she's giving Megan Fox, like dressing for the job you want.
Starting point is 00:25:05 And just all of that is just in Congress with who I thought she was, which is her own woman. Yeah, and like a very cool one-of-a-kind kind of gal. Yeah. Yeah, I agree. Like, she did say, oh, and she knows she has a lot of lore about Madam Webb. Love that. And she made a hilarious joke in the monologue about it. I'm glad this not the first time she's spoken about it.
Starting point is 00:25:25 I do love that she pokes fun at the fact that, like, literally, she was in this huge studio production for a movie that actually, like, I don't know if a worst movie has ever been made in our lifetime. Yeah. And also the Try guys poked fun at her about that in their sketch with it.
Starting point is 00:25:38 I love that. I love that she pokes fun at that. I really do. Like, that's the Dakota I know. We were like roasting each other. That was like the sketch. How scary. Just like saying mean things about each other.
Starting point is 00:25:48 And they were like, oh my gosh, we've always wanted to meet the star of Madam Webb. Penny Winchamussus to Sydney. Oh, that is really funny. Really funny. Like the Madam Webb jokes for me. never get old. They never get old. Because the thing is, like, we have to, we have to talk about
Starting point is 00:26:04 our flops. Like, that's really hilarious. Yeah. So I'd love to see. Taylor brought her out a cake at the end. Yeah. You know she made that ship from home. No, the baker is flipping. Oh, is the baker. People magazine had reached, has reached the baker. Okay, good, good, good. And she, that is exciting if you're a small little bakery. She just can't believe her cake. Her life. She can't believe her fortune. You know, they probably just, like, ordered it on Uber Eats. It's just It's funny that you mention it because she was heard from. That is hilarious. You don't need to pull it up.
Starting point is 00:26:32 I believe you. That is funny. All right, she didn't bake it. My bad. Yeah. She was getting ready for the big night. I can't wait for Dakota and Taylor to like never see or speak to each other ever again. Like this is just sort of like the friend of the moment.
Starting point is 00:26:45 Of course. Like rest in peace, Marin Morris. Rest in peace. Halsey. Rest in peace. Camilla Cabo. Like there's a lot of girls of the moment. Even though they were all at the wedding.
Starting point is 00:26:54 So I think they're all like. Sabrina. Sabrina. Carly. Of course, but that's a girlfriend. The baker who created the cake tailor Swift gave to Dakota Johnson on SNL reveals her reaction to the quote, wild surprise.
Starting point is 00:27:08 Go Queen. Like, yeah, so you love to see a small woman-owned business and getting its flowers. Yeah, very cute. She looked great. Yeah, she did. We're now two in a row, I don't want to jinx it. Two in a row of looks that are good.
Starting point is 00:27:20 They're not like insane, but they're very good. VMA's was very good. And now this. She's a new stylist. I feel like that would be a really big deal because her stylist has been with her for like 60 years. You know, it's also like the confidence. And the hair.
Starting point is 00:27:32 And the hair. The haircut. Also, like having a boyfriend. She was wearing like a lot of tartan like this last year. Yes. Everyone thought it was like album. Right. Folklore energy.
Starting point is 00:27:41 Yeah. Yeah. Having like a boyfriend or a husband who like really loves you not to like, of course, bring your confidence to a man. It's very empowering. Mm-hmm. And you just carry yourself differently. Speaking of tartan, I started to.
Starting point is 00:27:51 What's tartan? This like plaid. Plaid. Plad, got it. Tartan. I started to, new show this weekend. Called? A Woman of Substance. Have you heard of it? No, but what does that to do with Tartan? Because she lives in the U.K. Yeah. And in the last episode, it was the Christmas
Starting point is 00:28:08 episode she was wearing Tartan. Oh, okay. I've been watching two episodes tonight. It's a little familiar. It does. What program? Like what? It's on Brit Box. Oh, girl. We haven't heard of it. Like someone commented. We have not heard of it. On this episode, someone commented, Jackie, you should watch Woman of Substance. And people tell me watch stuff all the time. And I don't know why, for some reason, I was like, that sounds good. So, and I don't know why I felt like I had been like mentioning it in Emmy nominations and stuff. Oh, maybe. Maybe that's why I feel like I've heard of it.
Starting point is 00:28:31 But so I just put it on blind because it's a period piece and I was like, great. It's giving a place to call home. Who remembers Jackie's a place to call home era? Acorn TV, this special app you had to download that I believe is like out of business now or like it merged into Britbox. And it was a period piece, right? It was amazing. Fictional? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:28:47 It was like a very, very low budget downton Abbey. Yes. Hallmark, if Hallmark did downtown Abbey. So much. heart you guys have to watch it you know what you should watch that you would love the hallmark original series it's a very long-running series starring lorry lawflin win calls the heart you know what i'm talking about when calls the heart yeah maybe but even this like so this this series is eight episodes i'm really enjoying it but it's really like i don't love getting into a show
Starting point is 00:29:16 because then i'm just always thinking about it i stay up late watching it's hard it's not then it's also bad when you don't have anything to watch i know i know you're just like watching 30 rock again which is what I'm doing. Well, so I'm really enjoying the show. Thank you to whoever recommended it. I don't think it's nominated for anything. I don't know why. Like I chose to wasting your time. No, and it's a remake of an old show. And I will say like it takes place in like two different time. Like we get flashbacks to the future, which is the 70s. And then the past is like the 1920s. And like the future scenes are community theater. It's so strange. But then when we go back in the past, it's like I'm transported. So when you read a book and there's like it felt like it literally feels like when you read a book and it's like,
Starting point is 00:29:52 and there's two time periods. They're like, take me back or take me back or Take me forward. Like, I hate these people. And the one that we're in that's bad is so unbelievable. It's, like, it's so community theater. Yeah. Anyways, I would recommend it, though. I have two more episodes and it's really great so far.
Starting point is 00:30:06 Okay. A woman of substance. I'm watching Dance With a Star. It's like a full-time job. I can't take anything else on right now. Yeah, I understand. Kim Kardashian was profiled for the Sunday Times. Oh, I saw she looked really pretty.
Starting point is 00:30:16 Yeah. She's always to be, like, weird avant-garde photo shoots. So when she's actually just, like, glam, it's nice. Yeah, she was glam. I don't subscribe to the Sunday time, so I'm at the, the mercy of like the publications that wrote up the headlines and the clips like and so the two major headlines are that she has five nannies for her four kids you're kidding but they're on rotation so oh okay not like at once and she said what do you think the rotation is like two two
Starting point is 00:30:40 oh i guess it depends on the day okay and the night and if she's traveling because also like i feel like she talks a little bit about her routine and how like yet though she has five nannies who are on rotation. She'll makes it a point to always drive her kids to school and pick them up at school and have dinner with them every night. But like what about when she's traveling all the time? Well, I assume she has a travel nanny. That's what like one of the five are. So the kids always go with her? Sometimes they do. Sometimes they don't. I don't know. So I feel like even though she's like being transparent and sharing this, like I feel. We need more. It's just no, it leaves more actual questions than answers. Yeah. And I think she like figures that, you know, giving that number is going to be.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Like enough for people. No. Click bait. Well, of course. But the thing is. But the thing is, you're a billionaire, you have four kids, like you're also having five nannies. Like I can't even, can't get upset, can't hate the play. She said she always has one of her nannies on rotation when her kids are with her. Because also I guess they're sometimes with Kanye.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Right. Did she talk about that? Like that I'm a little bit more interested in. Not, she talked a little bit about, like, her parenting and. Sorry, I just, yeah, sorry. And how, like, when it comes to Connie, like, with North, how her and Kanye are, like, very aligned on. They are.
Starting point is 00:31:49 Well, that's good. communicating over what's going to be like the right things for her to do, making sure they're aligned and that she's in projects that they both approve of. It was my understanding that like Connie wasn't down for her to be in any projects just like due to her age. But it also seems like he now is like the kind of the driving force. Yeah. And I guess it's also like if he knows that she wants to pursue this like he's going to like
Starting point is 00:32:12 She's going to do it no matter what. Have his thumb on and be and like. Be in control. As he should because he's this is his world. Yeah. Yeah. And what was the other big headline besides the five nannies? Oh, that she was single for five years, like, before dating now.
Starting point is 00:32:25 She said aside from being with Pete Davidson. Aside from her one long-term relationship thing. Aside from her year-long relationship, she was single for five years since she's split from Kanye. I'd like to shout out Ms. Kenzie Elizabeth, who sent me a couple of interesting pieces of information this weekend. She said, I thought you'd be interested to know. And she sent me two different, like, graphics about Pete Davidson, like, overwhelmingly negative, that were liked by Stephanie Shepard, Kim's best friend, slash ex assistant chief of staff or whatever so the first one was a real can we talk about the film cassie david wrote about her ex p davidson exposing him as a narcissistic nice guy abuser stuff like that
Starting point is 00:33:03 and then this one pete davidson is like a graphic slept his way to the top how dating famous women made a man star and how wanting an audience makes women a joke she liked both of those a couple of think pieces if you ask me that's like my brain's not computing especially because kim like always reflects back that relationship, like, extremely positively, even though you know I'm always down to, like, come up with. Yeah, she does. She, actually, a lot of the women who. Been time with him.
Starting point is 00:33:29 Publicly. Oriana always says nice things about him. Now, others, I believe Carly Aquilino should enter the chat. But not every relationship is the same, you know? No, and also, when you're dating like a woman, a woman, excuse me, who's more powerful, more famous, wealthy, like, you behave. It's when you're the one who's in, like, the power dynamic. But I also think it's like, I say Kim broke up.
Starting point is 00:33:49 with Pete. Then yeah, you're always going to talk nicely about that, like, guy that you broke up with who was sad. But if he broke up with them, they might feel a little bit different. Scorned. Yeah. And I do think that's probably how Carly Aquilino feels. She started this whole Pete Davidson thing. She doesn't have enough credit. Yeah. So I think every relationship is different. He's had so many that they're all going to have a different story. But similar threads. Yes. So yeah, she talked about how she was single and focused on her family and her businesses and now she's ready to open up. But she didn't want to talk about Lewis. so she didn't talk.
Starting point is 00:34:20 But like all she does is post carousels of her. Yeah. She said respectfully like, no, I don't want to talk about that. Okay, well, she's also, I just recently in Paris with Lewis. I think, I saw this reel and I wasn't sure if it was like AI generated or like fake or not, but I think it's like the 10 year anniversary of her robbery and he took her on a trip to Paris to like make new memories of the date and the city and it was very sweet. That's really sweet.
Starting point is 00:34:41 But again, it might have just been like AI slop. I'm not sure it wasn't. Yeah, no, it sounds legit. That would be a weird thing for some. I'm going to spend their time doing on AI. It would. Are you ready for our next story? You know what?
Starting point is 00:34:56 I'm going to move this up, speaking of Paris Fashion Week. Let me think. Let me think. I don't know if you even saw this, but there's a random feud brewing between Rihanna and E.J. Johnson. Have you seen this?
Starting point is 00:35:08 Things that mean a lot to me? This, tell me everything. Okay, so earlier this week, E.J., I guess it's been in Paris Fashion Week. I did see EJ at Paris Fashion Week. fans behind the scenes look at this. them getting ready to go to designer shows. He talked about Rihanna's lateness.
Starting point is 00:35:24 Did you see that she was late from that show? To the Fecal Matter show, they waited, they held the show for her because she couldn't get there for 45 minutes and everybody was so upset because everybody had to sit around waiting, but the brand didn't seem to mind and they held it. So about that, he said it did start an hour late because Rihanna was late, and you know, we didn't care to wait for her, but the show was beautiful nonetheless.
Starting point is 00:35:43 Then there were also a couple other comments that he had made. In the last year or so, following the Mecca, E.J. said big names such as like Beyonce, Rihanna, and Kim fell short with their looks. And so that's the only other like piece of like Rihanna. Anyways, some Instagram posted a video of like E.J. getting blocked by paparazzi from going into their hotel. It says E.J. Johnson gets blocked from entering his hotel after posing for paparazzi at Fashion Week in Paris, France. And there's a video of it. And Rihanna commented. You're kidding me. She commented, damn.
Starting point is 00:36:15 That's so funny. I have to tell you something. Like what? Okay. Because I'm like almost 100% sure. Oh. They them or she her. I saw you fighting for your life. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:36:26 I was saying them, but then the Hollywood fix getem. Dot org wrote his in their caption. Because I was saying them. You did. I said them. You did. The whole time.
Starting point is 00:36:36 And I'm going to do my best. Hollywood fix. But I actually saw TikTok this morning. You know, people really have a problem with E.J. Johnson because like a couple of years ago, um, they said something like, you know, I wear a dress better than any woman could.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Like really just like speaking so derogatory to women. And then of course everybody just sort of like pulled out receipts of that not being the truth. And so he's kind of been trolled ever since then. Oh, fuck, sorry. They've kind of been trolled ever since then. And it always makes me laugh. So I guess like Rihanna knows about the lore. Oh, I wonder if she knows about that.
Starting point is 00:37:11 It was such like a random, literally nobody. I actually, so the only pieces of information from like Rihanna, V.EJ is like what he said about, they said about the Fico Matter show. And then also like someone unearthed what he had, they had back in the day about Mechal 20206. They said it's a very hard day, especially for me to say that about Rihanna because she's been going through a lot. But like let's go back to Gropay and the Yellow Cape that was cascading down the stairs all those years ago. I mean, it was bomb. So like pretty much saying like she's done better. But there's no way Rihanna has seen that comment.
Starting point is 00:37:42 And so, where is coming from? Rihanna hates E.J. Johnson. Like, for her own reasons, she doesn't need her own reasons. This is seriously. It would have been something that happened privately. Of course. They probably frequent the same. I do want to talk about the fecal matter thing
Starting point is 00:37:53 because people were like really up in arms about it when like seriously, who cares? I'm sure for a Brett, I heard about this brand for the first time less than a year ago. So like the fact that Rihanna is going to their show is such a big deal. Bitch, you would wait five hours. Like, and everyone else there, you're not important. Like seriously, this is not about you. You're lucky to be there.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Rihanna's going to be there. So everyone complaining. I'm like, seriously, you guys need to touch grass. Of course they're gonna wait for her. I think there are a couple like fashion people that end show will wait for. Rihanna is one of them. Anna Wintore.
Starting point is 00:38:20 Zendaya, Kim. Kim. Wasn't that Kim was like five minutes late to the Victoria Beckham show? No, she was like pretty late. And Anna Waiter was like sitting there waiting. Yeah. That was really painful.
Starting point is 00:38:29 Yeah, that was. She should have just. Kim's not a late person. Do you see Morgan Stewart Miss Sarah Mae's show? I did. I'm so glad you brought up Morgan Stewart now that we're talking about the Rich Kids of Beverly Hills because I want to talk about Dorothy Wang's new YouTube show.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Have you seen it? Yes, I want to talk about. Also, rich kids is just bubbling up. It is. It's time for a revival. No, but also, like, some clip generator out there has started clipping rich kids. So I'm getting, like, bits and bops of rich kids of, like, Dorothy and Roxy fighting in China. And I'm living for it. I can't believe these things happen.
Starting point is 00:38:58 I'm watching a girl in the basement. That Dorothy called Roxy not well-traveled because she's suffering from jet lag. Yeah, apparently, like, back in the day, if you had jet lag, like, you were poor. So Rich Kids' Best Show ever, Dorothy Wang, who had, like, this most. insane wedding last year. She, I guess, was documenting the whole thing with, like, a film crew, and she released this, like, reality show on YouTube. It's called, like, Dorothy says I do or something. And it's chronicling, you know, the planning of the wedding. And, you know, and this last episode she released, she's talking about who people think is Morgan. Because Morgan was not at the
Starting point is 00:39:30 wedding. Now, if you know the rich kids' lore, they were an iconic duo, but it wasn't a perfect friendship. And they kind of, like, never were spotted together ever again, but always a complimentary liking each other's things, congratulating one another until recently. And then she wasn't at the wedding, and it felt kind of final. Morgan got married during COVID, so no one was at the wedding. And so Dorothy on this episode is talking about how she's rescinding an invite.
Starting point is 00:39:52 Because this is the person who, she wasn't particularly close with, but like good terms, like the way she's just describing it sounds so much like Morgan, but like she went to an event for this person and people were able to stitch together. She's talking about a fashion week event for Renley that was in New York. And I guess, like, according to alleged,
Starting point is 00:40:07 Dorothy went. She was like kind of last minute invited and like thrown at a bad seat at the end of the table and Dorothy was like so offended and it was just sort of like you know what? Like this is not my friend and like I'm not going to invite her to my wedding. Now it really could be anyone she doesn't say who it is. Not inviting to the wedding and rescinding.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Yeah, rescinding is a bold statement. It's a huge move and the friendship ending one. And I do believe the friendship has ended. Yeah. Now I cannot confirm 100% that the story she's telling is about Morgan. Based on a couple of context clues given like dates, cities, things with that nature. People do generally believe that it is, Morgan,
Starting point is 00:40:41 but there's no proof of that. This is hard, you know. It's terrible. It's hard for the fans of riches. I think we've all always known that they weren't as close as they were on the show. They did their confessional together. They were such like a great TV duo and I can... Yin and yang. I can make
Starting point is 00:40:56 peace with the fact that that's not how they were offline. They were almost like co-workers, like bestie co-workers, but we go home at 5 o'clock and we have our own friends. And I do believe they were very competitive with one another, especially when the show started to blow up. Like, it was kind of a recipe for disaster. So I've made peace with the fact that they,
Starting point is 00:41:12 that they weren't as close as it always appeared to be. And that, you know, that. A lot of it was for show. It didn't exist in real life, but I can appreciate the art. And it was performance art. And in the 10 years since I have gone on to stand both of them individually. Agreed.
Starting point is 00:41:23 I don't even ask for anything. No, and they do such amazing work on their own. They do. As women, as creators, as fashionistas. Like, I want nothing more from them. So for there to be conflict between the two of them. It's really inconvenient. It's really hard and it just begs the question like, why can't they just be friends?
Starting point is 00:41:40 Like, why don't they like each other? I think that it really rooted in like this. First of all, they had like a couple of fights on the show, but they always worked it out. And I think that like when the show ended and they both like went their separate ways, there was just like I think like a lot of competition. I do. I know it's like, you know, kind of reductive of me to boil it down to that. But I do feel like when you're in the same space and you're like fighting for Instagram followers and attention and then the show gets canceled.
Starting point is 00:42:02 I feel like it's just a tough environment to be like a woman who supports other women. I don't know. I don't think it's that because they're both, they both come from abundance. And it's not like, I just think they're, it's not like that where they have to, like, it's you or me. Dorothy's also pregnant. She announced a couple of days ago. I'm so excited for her. And you know it's oozing out of me to tell you guys that I knew that. Yeah. Because I ran into her on the street. And I was like, what are you doing? And she was like, had this like band on her arm. She's always on like wellness doctors. I'm like, oh, what are you going? Like some special doctor. She was like, I'm pregnant. I was like, oh my God, me too. No, it's so exciting. It is so exciting. It is so exciting. a Yankewitz-bwang baby.
Starting point is 00:42:38 I've seen clips from her new show. I'm seeing old clips from rich kids. It's just sort of begging for some sort of reunion. It's so good. It's so good. But it was a moment in time. Those people would never get back together. No, although, like, now with the E.J. Johnson drama, like, I am sad.
Starting point is 00:42:53 Like, the Brendan drama. And to be honest, like, at the time, they really just were, like, rich kids. That was, like, kind of the most interesting thing about them. They all had great personalities, but they weren't doing anything particularly interesting with their lives. Now they all really are between Morgan's, like, success as a fashion swirling. and Dorothy just like being a world traveling cosmopolitan woman. I, E.J., of course, beefing with Rihanna.
Starting point is 00:43:12 Did you see, actually, Dorothy is selling her home and it's the home that Taylor Swift used to live in in L.A. where she wrote 1989. Wait, I saw that the Taylor Swift house in 1989 is being sold, but I thought Taylor was selling it. By the beijons. Oh, you said, wait, who? Roxy, sorry.
Starting point is 00:43:27 Oh. Roxy. Oh, yeah, Roxy also married very well. Big family, big Persian family. Roxy on Chazza's at Sunset, when, you know? They have a 1980 home and they're selling it. I know. It was a very charming $8 million house. It's very beautiful.
Starting point is 00:43:41 If you're looking for an $8 million house in the L.A. area, I would take it. I definitely recommend. Yeah. The pictures were parjee. Oh, and I showed you, speaking of homes, Robert Hergevik and Kim Herschvik gave a... Couldn't get an architectural digest interview, so they went to House Beautiful. No, no, House Beautiful is Bargy. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:43:59 Homeworthy looked nice too. It's not architectural digest. It was a very beautiful house in Missculey. So of the moment. And I know you want to like shade them for not being in AD, but like AD does a lot of ugly stuff too. You know who doesn't? House beautiful.
Starting point is 00:44:14 Count and country. Like they only do beautiful things. Yeah. I'm not shading rubber her check. I would never do that. And I resent the accusation. It was a beautiful home in Miskoka. A lot of the sharks like Miskoka.
Starting point is 00:44:30 Mr. Wonderful also lives there. And that's where the next summer house is, right? Oh, they are doing a summer. has Misscoka. Muscoca's like having a moment. That's the setting of that Sterling Point Show. Yeah. It's like the Hamptons of Canada. But it's so much cooler. It's there are no streets. Like it's islands. Everybody, if you want to go somewhere, you take a boat. Oh, that's, that wouldn't work for me. But that would explain why they had like a boat garage. So yes, every half, all the big houses. And the boats are under the house.
Starting point is 00:44:54 Yes. And the house is up there. Yeah. And they had three boats under their house. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's. Really gorgeous speed boats. You know, Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinnis frequent there as well. Well, I get C-Sic. so don't invite me to Muskoca. I can't come. And I'm a water sign, so I'm available to come to your home as long as it's nice and has a three-car boat garage. Are you ready for our fourth story?

Thank you, clear turd. You're welcome. Our next story, the new name of Paramount Warner Brothers has been unveiled. We live for a re-bent. Soon to merge, Paramount Warner Brothers Discovery officially has a name.
Starting point is 00:50:52 So this is sort of like the second half of that story we were talking about almost a year ago. Yeah, and I didn't, like, I felt like it was always like, they're almost, they're almost, and I didn't know that it's done. So Warner Brothers beat Netflix in buying. Paramount. Paramount beat Netflix in buying Warner Brothers. And like when this started, Netflix sent out an email to a subscriber. You guys, I got an email from Netflix.
Starting point is 00:51:13 When they were like buying Warner Brothers. They're like, we own Warner Brothers now, like look forward to all Warner Brothers content. Like it was a done deal. And Paramount was like, yeah, look, December 6, 2025, an email from Netflix, because I subscribe, welcoming Warner Brothers to Netflix. that was a subject line. Hi, we recently announced that Netflix will acquire Warner Brothers.
Starting point is 00:51:30 Talk about getting ahead of yourself because there ended up being a hostile takeover. They were like suing each other. And you know what? Paramount won. And it's really kind of a big deal for the streaming wars because Netflix is currently winning
Starting point is 00:51:38 the streaming wars in terms of like subscriber amounts like by the hundreds of millions. And acquiring Warner Brothers, which is HBO Max, like so many. It was just sort of like making them even bigger. Paramount is like this sort of like small but mighty engine.
Starting point is 00:51:50 Now they're acquiring, they're entering the streaming wars in a major way. So I guess it took a whole year for them to work out that whole Netflix thing. Yeah, but like Paramount was always willing to pay more, even though Warner Brothers wanted to go to Netflix, I guess that was what made it hostile,
Starting point is 00:52:04 but they had to take the deal from Paramount because it was more money to the shareholders. Right, right. So now it will be Paramount Warner Brothers, and they have a new name. And you know what? I'm very change-averse. Anytime someone's like, our new name, I'm like it sucks.
Starting point is 00:52:16 I kind of like it. The new name is Skydance. Now, does that mean like when I want to watch Yellowstone, I have to go to skydance.org? Like, I hope so. if SkyDance will be Paramount, HBO, HBO, Max, HBO Max Go, Max and Maxinista. It's also Discovery. Plus Discovery, TLC, like time, etc.
Starting point is 00:52:38 HGTV. Magnolia. Magnolia. Where does Magnolia go? If all of that is now going to fall under SkyDance, that works for me. Me too. If you guys have any plan other than that, that doesn't work for me. Oh, agreed.
Starting point is 00:52:50 There's one path forward here. And it's one app. So it will be SkyDance, Netflix. Hulu Peacock. Even though I think losing the HBO name is a huge loss. The HBO name is so watered down. It's not. It's so, when we were talking about the greatest shows of all time,
Starting point is 00:53:05 remember that list or the last century or whatever? They were all HBO. But also, like, within Skydance, then you can choose, do you want to watch HBO? Of course. But HBO just has, like, a lot of recognition. But just like Hulu has ABC. Like, I think that it's fine,
Starting point is 00:53:19 but I do think if they want to be in the streaming wars, like they need one hub. Right. And I like Skydance. It's a love. name. And Paramount Plus just like wasn't enough, you know. I would always, of course, typical cardboard fashion renew it when there was like a new season of Yellowstone, but it's not something you need to have. It's not a need to have. Even though I do believe like all the old episodes of Jersey Shore
Starting point is 00:53:40 are on there because Viacom is Paramount. That's MTV, VH1. There's a lot there. And you said Yellowstone? Paramount. Yeah. You said Yellowstone already? I did. Okay. Yellowstone. Yeah. That's the only thing I'm, oh, RuPaul's Drag Race is also on Paramount. Plus, but like besides that, it's kind of, it's kind of sad out there. Yeah. So HBO Max, Paramount Plus will combine with CBS, CNN, MTV, TBS Comedy Central. Oh, right. CNN Plus.
Starting point is 00:54:08 Who remembers CNN Plus? Maybe they'll bring that back. Food Network and more. And of course, Harry Potter is huge. And is that the prequel show that's coming out now? That's just the franchise. The franchise. But there's that TV show.
Starting point is 00:54:21 Ben's talking about it. I was going to be on HBO. I'm like, Ben, how do you even know about that? Yeah. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Yellowstone, The City. Possible Top Gun and Nickelodeon. Friends, I believe, is on Max.
Starting point is 00:54:35 Is it? Yeah. Maxwell. Well. Skydance. I wonder how much it's going to be. For a month. Well, you know, the streaming wars benefit the consumer,
Starting point is 00:54:47 so everybody's got to bring it down. Yeah, that's true. We enter double digits and we never turned back. It's going to be $100 soon. $20 for Netflix. is insane. When we have like a family account where you don't want commercials. Like I know I could get it for less, but like I have to live.
Starting point is 00:55:01 Yeah. And like I need to share. Yeah. Understood. So that's the latest. And it's literally turning into cable. Of course. These are different channels.
Starting point is 00:55:08 Yeah, right. That's the latest. Skydance. Are you ready for our fifth and final story? Which is a, which is a meaty one. Oh, I'm so fucking ready for that. I just like needed to clear the deck. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:19 We're ready. There's no rush. How Tanya Zucker Brot lost her $40 million dollar diet empire to one troll and the six-year fight for justice. So this is an old story. This story began in 2020. Tanya Zuckerbrot is... Peak COVID craziness on the internet.
Starting point is 00:55:38 Tanya Zuckerbrot is the founder of the F-Factor diet, which if you know what it was or you don't know at the time, it was the flavor of the moment diet. Oh my God. Everyone was eating those fucking Gigi crackers. The G-G crackers, but also she had powder. And it was like fiber powder that, like, you put in everything. She had a huge collab at Bloomingdale.
Starting point is 00:55:55 Her whole thing was the F factor was the fiber factor. She was like, you can eat whatever you want as long as you're eating fiber. Fiber was like the whole thing. Yeah. Celebrities were doing it. I knew people who were doing it. Everyone was eating those fucking crackers with tuna. Everyone was starting F factor losing weight.
Starting point is 00:56:08 And she, her business was doing like a million dollars a month. It was valued at $40 million. Then in 2020, an influencer named Emily Gellis started posting about F factor and all of these testimonials of people saying that they had a bad experience with. She began publicizing anonymous testimonials from followers, claiming they had suffered serious physical and mental health problems while following the F Factor diet. She had never met Tanya before,
Starting point is 00:56:34 but in just 75 days, Emily posted more than 4,500 Instagram stories and posts about Zuckerbrot and F Factor. In total, she posted more than 50,000. And those videos have now come back to the surface, like just Instagram stories she made over the last six years, accusing Tanya at the time of the diet things, and then later on because they got into a lawsuit,
Starting point is 00:56:51 accusing her of having people follow her. and they are actually the diary entries of a crazy person. They're actually spooky to watch. So Emily linked the products to everything from gastric diseases and hair loss to panic attacks, UTIs, miscarriages, and even death. I remember the miscarriage thing because I couldn't believe it. Like they were making so many claims about this diet, and one woman came forward anonymously and said that the diet caused her to have a miscarriage.
Starting point is 00:57:15 And I was like, holy shit. And Emily obviously saw that and that was huge for her cause. She does no verification. she said it's an anonymous thing and she posts it. And it went, that was really one of the things that, like a catalyst of the whole skin, because that's a crazy accusation to make. And then it turns out that the person, I remember the whole thing was the person who made that accusation, like did it anonymously, like to support.
Starting point is 00:57:38 Tanya, to show that this girl will post anything and that's not true. Crazy, which is, by the way, not really helping Tanya because that was such a heinous allegation. Like, it was, everything was like, I had my belly hurt or what a miscarriage. attention, it did help just to show that Emily Gales will post anything. It did. No matter how dramatic, no matter how defamatory, as long as someone sends it in her DMs. Her business overnight, I never saw a Gigi Cracker ever again.
Starting point is 00:58:04 So she alleged that, at fact, not even, she didn't own Gigi Crackers. She just said, I know, I know. She had the fiber powders. So she alleged that those powders, it was all about these powders, contained dangerous levels of arsenic and contacted the company's retail partner, Bloomingdale's to warn that it was selling poison. So Zuckerbad has a master's degree in nutrition and food studies for, NYU. Emily Gellis has no nutrition degree. According to court papers seen by the post, the products
Starting point is 00:58:26 were manufactured in pharmaceutical grade facility, tested for microbiological safety, heavy metals, and the accuracy of their label claims. At the time, Emily started posting all this, Tanya ignores her for a while. The allegate, I mean, nobody had anything to do in 2020 except live for internet. Oh, people on the internet. You guys, this was, this was peak crazy girl behavior. Like, all the crazy girls, like people were living for this. Yeah. So eventually, um, Tanya went on the Today Show to fight back against the allegations. But at that point it was too late. Like her business was over effective immediately.
Starting point is 00:58:57 She said that she regret that she hadn't done it. Soon she went on NBC News. And they showed them the independent nutrition reports. They verified it, but it was sort of too late. And Tanya explains how this ruined her life, not even just her business, but her life. Because Tanya is independently wealthy. I believe she has a very wealthy husband as well. So like it was never about her being on the balls of her ass.
Starting point is 00:59:18 but the business that this woman built by herself, regardless of her financial background, was just literally never to be seen again. Yeah. So Tanya spent the last few years fighting her in court. Yes, I knew. Suing the shit out of her. Suing the shit out of her.
Starting point is 00:59:33 Like, I didn't know if I knew that this was still going on and then cut to over the weekend. I'm scrolling my Instagram and I see this video. Tanya Zuckerbrot posted. And by the way, the girl posted it too. So like we knew that this had gone to court. Tanya was like taking, her to court. Tanya was going to spend
Starting point is 00:59:50 her and her husband's last dollar. Up to a million dollars suing this girl. And the girl is not herself wealthy. So like it was already you know, she was in a bad spot. And she, even though when she knew she was being sued, she did not stop posting about Tanya. So and I think like we had heard like Tanya's doing well in the court. And we're like, good for her, good for her. And then Tanya Zuckerbach posts this video. You guys, it's 10 minutes long. I watched the whole thing. She posts this video on the Tanya's page. And I'll just show
Starting point is 01:00:16 you to show this is Emma Gellis. It is a hostage video. This is Emily Gales, the girl she is doing, this is obviously like a part of the settlement that she had to make this video, and it's so fucking gorgeous. It is, like... My name is Emily Gellis, and I am here today to take full responsibility
Starting point is 01:00:30 for the harm I caused to Tanya Zuckerbrot, her company, Factor, and her family. I know that this is not the point of the video, but I watched the whole thing, and like, it's very hard to watch because she does crispy arse, you know, she's like, Tanya Zuckerbrot. Like, I cannot, sorry.
Starting point is 01:00:46 Okay. By my actions. This is my public apology. In 2020, it came across information online about the F-Factor diet. Instead of verifying that information or seeking out credible sources, I used my platform to amplify and escalate those claims. What began as an inquiry evolved into a sustained and harmful campaign that was not grounded in verified facts.
Starting point is 01:01:12 So then they spliced together this hostage video with some of her craziest videos on Instagram stories, talking about Tanya, talking about the testimonials from people she's wearing like a filter on her head the whole time. Just in case you were starting to feel bad for this girl. Now you need to see what she said. The videos are insane.
Starting point is 01:01:27 Like the flashback? The physician self told people to eat shit that made them sick and then they came and told me and then I came and told the internet. And if you don't like it, I don't care anymore. But I am sick and tired of hearing you talk about it on the internet every single day. But if you think that that is the only way,
Starting point is 01:01:45 then I don't know, Lord, help. us all because when you wake up in the morning, it's not normal to be like, I am a registered dietitian and I went to New York University. We know. We know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know, we know. I have a very functioning working brain that taught me right from wrong. It's actually this very simple concept, but you know what, it's difficult for some people. The ramblings of a crazy, right? person like, no, but she's, no, listen, she goes on about right for song, right for wrong, but she's the wrong one. Of course. It's crazy to think. You guys, this is one of almost 50,000 videos she posted over the course of the, the six years.
Starting point is 01:02:29 Because they just see, teller signs, dollar signs. I accused F-factors fiber and protein powders, products that have been on the market for years of being dangerous and unsafe. The person who edited this needs an actual award. Needs an Emmy. It's a job here at the toast. A thousand percent. Put some 20-20 protein powder in your pasta.
Starting point is 01:02:54 Protein and fiber every meal makes losing weight. No big deal. The real deal. Put arsenic in your morning coffee. Put arsenic. Arsenic coffee. Arsenic powder. Arsenic.
Starting point is 01:03:11 Sexy for summer. Crazy. You hurt people. She had people in the hospital. Physically sick. I mean, she still remains the worst of the worst as far as all these stories. people losing their colones, people having hives all over their body, distended stomachs, like somebody even died.
Starting point is 01:03:32 It's a heart attack at 45 years old. You tell me that this person should be walking the street. These claims were not supported by very much. Okay, we don't need to watch a whole thing. But the crazier part is that like, you know, then she continues to document the journey on social media about the lawsuit. And she's accusing Tanya of having Mossad agents, follow her around the Hamptons, people in unmarked vehicles following her and her family,
Starting point is 01:03:55 like doxing her, like literally just making shit up. She didn't even let it go after the diet thing. So honestly, I think a lot of people would have just given up because people have forgotten about this and I feel like Tanya, like, whatever. She's fine. She's fine. She did not stop until justice was served. And the thing is, is that I'm sure, like with any diet or product,
Starting point is 01:04:14 it's not made for every single person. Like I'm sure there's somebody who had diarrhea from taking it. I've taken something, you know, you do a diet. I mean, I would hope you ought to have diarrhea from taking all that fiber. No, you know, you go and out of diarrhea from taking all that fiber. No, you know, you go on it. It doesn't match with you. It's not a perfect thing.
Starting point is 01:04:25 They're very personal. But to make accusations like legally, you can't just say that shit. So for, and then Emily then posted this video on her own account. Now Emily does have this like army of people who believe her, people who think Tanya is this wrongdoer. And so you, the comments are like, our girl, but I also, because I read in the comments too, allegedly, I think the settlement was around $200,000. Yeah, $240. That she has to pay like monthly because the disparity in finances cannot be over.
Starting point is 01:04:52 restated here. And this video, if I was tiny, I would have been just happy with the video. But of course, 200 grand never hurt. But I think she really just wanted to hurt this person, like as much as she possibly could. I actually think that the, like, she probably was getting a financial settlement because that's what you would expect if you're suing someone for damages. Yeah. She lost $40 million.
Starting point is 01:05:09 The video was the cherry on top. The fact that her legal team even had the sense to ask, demand this in the settlement, is fucking brilliant. Yeah, I think that like, China really wants her credibility reinstated. Like, it was just so quick. You have to remember the time that we were living in. But also, like, if there was just a settlement, it would have been a headline these two settled.
Starting point is 01:05:28 She paid her $2,000. This list forever. No, it just has made it almost as viral as the initial claims in 2020 because she can't counteract all the damage that was done. Factor won't. You can't, lightning doesn't strike twice. Everyone's moved on. Trends have changed.
Starting point is 01:05:45 Clen's. With all this fiber work with the GLP1. Actually, you are supposed to take a lot of fiber and protein when you have a GLP1. Tanya, it's here. But so just for it to have even a fraction of the virality that Emily's had in 2020, that feels more like justice than the money. Because also the money is not justice. She lost $40 million.
Starting point is 01:06:05 But also so much crazy shit happened on the internet during COVID. And like we all just sort of like laid it to rest. Like, oh, we were crazy. Like, but the fact that Tanya didn't let this go, like is what I admire most about her. Because like you can't just make shit up. And I feel like there are so many. there's so few consequences for like people who destroy other people's lives on the internet because you see it happen all the time and nobody nobody gets sued nobody goes to jail nobody does anything
Starting point is 01:06:32 they'll just move on even when they're proven wrong a couple reasons why people don't sue it's really hard to prove defamation tanya spent a million dollars over six years it's very expensive it will consume your entire life but like tanya could do it right a woman of means the reason why i love this is that maybe it will have people thinking twice before they go crazy on someone and dedicate their life to taking down a person. Whether or not, I'm sure at the time Emily believed, like, she obviously believed she was doing the right thing, that Tanya's selling arsenic powder.
Starting point is 01:07:00 But even when she was proved wrong, she didn't stop. No, and like this will make the next person thing twice. So I think this is a gorgeous precedent. And yeah, everybody who has had their life ruin on the internet doesn't want to perpetuate the ruination by spending six years fighting it. Of course.
Starting point is 01:07:16 No, and you want to heal. You want to heal. You want to tell me about this. You have to work. Tanya is in a human. She is in a unique position. She's in a unique position. So thank you, Tanya.
Starting point is 01:07:25 I could not believe my eyes and ears when I was watching this video. Now, the comments are so different because they posted the video, they should have done a collab post. But they posted the on Tanya's page, which is where I saw it first. And all the comments were like, Tanya, I'm so happy for you. Like, good for you, never giving up. And then I saw the video on Emily's page in the comments were like, we know why she's doing this. She's being forced to. She's being hostile hostage.
Starting point is 01:07:47 And it's like, well, yeah, she is being forced to. But like, that's because that's what the court found. She's being forced to buy a judge. by the law. And you know what? The wheels of justice turns slow. They work mighty fine.
Starting point is 01:08:00 It was a beautiful ending to one of the crazier sagas I've lived through on the internet. And I wasn't even particularly obsessed with it at the time. People were, especially because in the city, all my friends, they were obsessed with Gigi. And everyone knew it was doing that factor.
Starting point is 01:08:12 Yeah. And so it was like a big scandal. I was like, I don't do diets. This doesn't apply to me. But now I'm like, wait, this really was so crazy. Yeah. And I think that's the end of it.
Starting point is 01:08:23 I'm sure Emily Gellis, hopefully she's not stupid enough because there's obviously some sort of stipulation that she's never allowed to talk about Tanya ever again. Like, and if she does, like... Well, why would she... You can't even apply rationale here because she should have stopped talking about her years ago.
Starting point is 01:08:40 Yes, but like now that she's been put in her place, like really, why would she... Do you want to lose another 2-inch of $1? Because she does have all these fans who believe that she's sort of like, the victim of this campaign from a wealthy woman. Listen, because I don't want to be now doing the opposite of ruining Emily Gell, like, even though that's what she did and that's what she deserves, honestly.
Starting point is 01:08:59 It doesn't have to be shot at Ford the complete other way. You have all these fans, amazing. Go to work. Right. Do something else. Talk about something else. Yeah, yeah. Build up Emily's self.
Starting point is 01:09:10 Not Tanya. You don't have to build up yourself breaking down others. Yeah. So great. You have so many fans. Go have a career. Yeah. What a crazy video.
Starting point is 01:09:19 Like my job. was on the floor. I didn't really watch them at the time. So seeing like now, with the perspective of hindsight, seeing these Instagram stories where at the time people were like subscribing Emily, I think her followers were growing so much. They couldn't wait to see what Emily was dropping today. Now seeing them, like knowing what we know, it's like, we should have called the police. We should have called the police. Lock her up like insane. Yeah. One of the craziest things I've ever lived there. Yeah. So. So yeah. That's a wrap on that. Hopefully. Yeah. I think so.
Starting point is 01:09:53 Yeah, I think like Emily should just take this L, not take it any further. Like, just like Jackie said, I think she has kids like, just enjoy your life. It's over. Yeah. Did bad. And you have fans still. Yeah. They were a lot of support for her in her comments.
Starting point is 01:10:06 Great. Start making like productive, positive educational content. That's beautiful. You know so much better than other people. Yes. You know all. Well, those were the past five. And it feels so you needed to know them.
