Good morning, Millennials! Welcome back to The Toast, and happy Monday, y'all! Get down diggity with y'all! Hey, Jax! Did you leave us being Southern on the last episode? Was that the last episode? It's possible. And you came back Southern?

Because I definitely did that last week. I did not do that on purpose, I just want to say. Like, I'm just... No, you're just still Southern, even though it's been's been like five days since we saw you the toaster since Wednesday hope everybody had amazing time off I did I did it was the Chag it was Rosh Hashanah I can't believe that was a really long break it was a really long break feeling grateful to the Lord for putting the kind of long Jewish holiday on starting on a Wednesday night so we got two days off now what the Lordiveth, the Lord taketh away because another holiday that we have coming up, which

usually is blessed enough to fall on a weekday, falls on a Saturday. This week, you guys know, every year we start talking about Yom Kippur. At the end of like July, we actually have not talked about Yom Kippur as much as we have in previous years this year. Yeah, kind of a big day, a somber day in the Jewish community our biggest holiday where we have to fast for 25 hours this year is on a Saturday just to kind of like add insult to injury it's so wrong however like you can't have Rosh Hashanah starting on a Wednesday without Yom Kippur on a Saturday because the holidays are 10 days apart but I would rather like have Rosh Hashanah start on a I guess Thursday would make Yom Kippur Sunday also shitty.

Worse actually. Worse. And Friday, Monday, I guess Tuesday, because then that Friday that would be on technically, they're not going to make it come in. There's really no like good way to fast. That's the other thing. So I can't believe we haven't talked.

Like usually we start dreading Yom Kippur. Maybe we're growing up. We usually start talking about like how close we're getting seriously six months out we have not even talked about it once I feel like it makes it harder and worse when we're dreading it so much like if we just keep it to the one day like we could take our power back we're not going to keep it to the one day because we have to talk about it every day this week um and let's talk about it today I am not excited I also like am due for my period in the next couple of days like probably on the weekend and so I'm already feeling like angry

and and hungry a luteal yo yeah and I actually can't remember the last time my cycle synced up with the yom kippur like that to me that's God being like listen you were extra bad this year like you need to repent even harder so I'm listening and I'm learning to God. That's beautiful. How was your hug? It was actually, it's one of my favorite holidays, Rosh Hashanah. It's our, like the Jewish calendar is different than like the calendar, you know, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

And we celebrate the new year, usually around this time of year. And it's such a great holiday filled with like, it's easy. It's food. It's light. It's family. It's food. It's fun. hair to death you know I just want to crisp it crispy we can't even talk you know today is October 7th I meant to I sorry I meant to do this right at the top of the show but I just got lost in conversation with my swirly no I actually can't believe that for five minutes I was distracted from it because like it's all I've been thinking about like in the last few days all the accounts that I follow are on Instagram are like a lot of like Jewish advocacy accounts and a lot of prominent Jews and so everyone's posting about it and there's just like it's been top of mind it's really crazy how like one year ago today you were in New York why were you in New York because Because we did that episode together. No, no. Yeah, I was in Florida when it happened.

And then I came to New York two days later for my book. Oh, right. OK, so you were in New York. Yeah. It's been a whole ass year since that day. Like, I remember that day. Like, seriously, like it was a week ago. I can't believe it's been a whole year.

I can't believe there are still over 100 people, Americans included, being held hostage in Gaza. I can't believe this like it's Ben was saying how like today should be a fast day like in Judaism because we're literally fasting this weekend yeah that's how you commemorate but like you can't and like you could fast but he was like no because like we're still living it like it's not over we're still in it it's not over there are still over a hundred hostages babies women elderly innocent, citizens from a ton of different countries being held hostage. And like, even today, the Palestinians are firing rockets into Israel from Gaza. Like, it's, it's heartbreaking. And then a lot of like, people are sharing footage from October 7. And we've seen so much, but still, there's so much footage

And then from people's like cell phones or CCTV and like every time you see it, it is just like the worst thing I've ever seen. And I know we have like a big constituency of Jewish listeners who always really appreciate when we talk about these things. But I have to say, I know we have like a wide audience, most of whom are not Jewish. have to say I know we have like a wide audience most of whom are not Jewish and since October 7th you and I have like just started talking a lot more about the goings on in Israel and I just want to say like we really have the most wonderful listeners who have been so like eager to learn and help and just like get involved and it really means a lot to like I see all these messages all the time like from x from y I'm Christian I'm this and just

so like eager to support and wanting to know what they can do to help and it really means the world and I just think we have the most wonderful listeners and that's just been like a very small bright spot in this last year's like really seeing how people from all different walks of life our listeners are extremely diverse like wanting to just learn and support. And for, I know for a lot of people, like we are their first interaction with a Jewish person. If you live in an area where there aren't a lot of Jews, like it sounds crazy because I live in New York, but like most people like will go throughout their days, not like talking to a Jewish person. So I know we're sort of like that first line of defense for a lot of people. And I feel really proud of that. And I

think that's like a, a responsibility, like I don't take lightly. And so I love that we have built this really fabulous community of people who like true I feel like the word ally has become like it's like a word that lost its meaning but like real like true allyship yeah and also like so many people wanting to help praying for us but then even just people who are passive listeners who like haven't turned off this podcast because every once in a while like we come on and we're heartbroken about Israel and it's like just continuing to listen even if it's not something that's like of the utmost importance to you just like knowing that it is for us like I'm sure a couple people have left like those Zionists like

goodbye um but everyone who's been here for the last year like thank you yeah I know there are like a lot of um pro-Hamas rallies planned in the city today so if you're in it's literally so fucking crazy it's abhorrent and it's disgusting and it's not even like they're commemorating you know the day that Israel retaliated like it's nothing else happened on October 7th other than like pure carnage like the slaughter of the Jewish people of the Israeli Israeli people, like by Hamas terrorists. Like why today? Why would this be your day?

Because they love to see dead Jews. So I was just saying that like, you know, check your local listings. Be careful because the true fucking crazies are out today. Like I was seriously, I was like not having a today. I took a cab. I'm like, nobody look at me. I'm not in the mood. It's just, it's so crazy what's going on in the world.

And that's like the second layer. It's like also at times just as heartbreaking, the response, the lack of care. I am seriously sending every ounce of love that I have to someone who's like, you know, to someone, to anyone who is like still affected by the hostage crisis, whether it's a friend, a family member, it's devastating. And it's even more devastating when it feels like, you know, you're like begging people to care. So it's an

ongoing thing. We obviously will continue to talk about it and support Israel. But Jackie and I obviously wanted to take a minute to remark on the anniversary because it's been a really, honestly, horrible year. And I just, I can't believe it's been a really honestly horrible year and I just I can't believe it's been a whole year like that literally flew now as always we're just gonna have to pivot like I know today like seriously and we will there actually is so much to talk about today um and so I will get to myself to a place of caring about these other stories but one thing that we're going to talk about and I think we should do it at the end is love okay we are but I just and the reason why I told everyone like I know everybody makes

fun of me for like sharing too much about my cycle I have some of them like some really harsh truths to deliver and I found something out this morning I will be stopping watching the show okay okay sounds good to me I think I've watched like four episodes and change I'm almost through all of the reveals so let's talk about like what we've seen so far but I I've never hated a season more an installment of this show more like the actual physical visceral reactions I have like I need to sit with a bucket because I'm gonna puke from some of these people I'm okay I'm not gonna spoil it but I just want to say like I and I was prepared to come on here like rip these people to shreds but I was gonna give like a precursor like just know I'm not talking about Tyler and Ashley I'm

not talking about Tyler and then I found something out this morning about Tyler and I guess I am talking about Tyler when I talk about like how okay you haven't tried to say it now yeah and I gotta know this isn't even on the show it just came out on social media he has three children that he's like an active father and he's like cleared them from his social media before he went on the show. And I'm up to episode six out of seven. And I think in the seventh episode, he does discuss it like as describing himself very much as a sperm donor. But now the mother and the mother of the mother are sharing like pictures of them like having

Christmas morning together. Like he's a very involved father. Okay. Cause I was about to say like, maybe he did it. Maybe he told Ashley, but it's just not in the season. Maybe they're not on social media.

Cause he's about to be a public figure and he doesn't want to put his kids out there. But you're saying. It's nefarious. The, like the mother of the children and the mother of the mother. That's not what I thought you were going to say. Honestly,

these days, like I thought you were going to say, you know, he's going to one of those rallies. So were going to say. Honestly, these days, like I thought you were going to say, you know, he's going to one of those rallies. So I'm glad that. No, I'm not like, seriously,

we can't even have one nice thing. They, we do have one nice couple. Who? The scientists. Yeah. But to me, like Ashley and Tyler were on their way to being like,

maybe the best couple I've ever seen on this show. You put too much stock in. I did. Jackie, from the first episode, I was fucking obsessed with them like he is so cute she's gorgeous they are so compatible i thought when they got into bed and they were talking about how like not in like a religious way they're gonna be abstinent but like

this culture where you just sort of like give your soul to i thought i i haven't seen this i haven't seen you know what well and and by the way i will be watching mexico because that is i suffered through what i suffered through for mexico like that's the best part of any love is blind season and then from there I'll evaluate if I'll keep okay and you know what I'll save my diatribe but I'm sorry like the three kids like that's just not a deal breaker considering like what some of these other people are saying we are going to save that for the end love is blind recap yeah yeah yeah we know not everyone has watched it also just like dropped in the middle of the night yeah no promo no hype no nothing no no hype, no nothing.

No nothing. No something. I don't feel like this season is taking off as much as other seasons have taken off. Like I don't see like everyone watching it. For good reason. Yeah, and so I am going to be done. Like I'm officially not watching one more minute. And I think it's okay.

Like no, I don't. Why is this season so nauseating? And like so many people I've spoken to have used that exact word. Like nausea. And also, does anybody else spoken to have used that exact word like yeah well and also does anybody else feel like cringe they're getting like a lot more footage of like kissing and like a lot more up close now maybe that's the Marissa and Ramsey's they share a kiss in Mexico that is so insane Jackie she literally goes like this her mouth wide open like she's taking a bite out of an apple it was the crazy me and Ben looked what like it's Jackie it was crazy my husband probably has like black and blues on his arm

from every time I was like hitting him across the bed like no no no so we will do like a full recap at the end of this show so you guys can hear that also uh in addition to watching love is blind I also saw it ends with us and I need to talk about it. Finally. I saw that you saw it. Jackie, it was incredible. Of course it was. I loved it so much. And because, you know, there was all this hoopla around it. I actually really forgot that I loved the book. Like, I really loved

it. And it was the first time I think I can say, like, I wouldn't have changed any decisions they made in regards to the book. And people were like, but they left out the Ellen Dory storyline the worst part like uh who you know Ellen DeGeneres is like a huge fixture in the book because like her and the boy growing up when he comes over to like shower and get food they watch Ellen every day because her parents aren't home from school and then she loved like she just loves

Ellen and the book is her diary entries and her diary's name is Ellen and then she ends up like naming the kid like Dory or something. Like there's a lot of Ellen. Okay. It's Ellen Kogan. Yeah. And so they referenced once, like they're just watching TV and Ellen's on the TV. It was a nice nod to that.

But you can't, it's a long book. You can't include everything. And I think their decision to not change the ending, they didn't change anything. I really appreciate it. I thought it was super well done. And our initial concern when we first saw those photos of Blake Lively and the crazy hair the crazy glam the crazy outfits like that is very much an issue like it's it's an omnipresent thing it's just sort of this like other main character I still don't understand why they had her look so crazy um and it was distracting but I'm holding

space for two truths the movie was incredible and let me tell you I don't know if it's because I dislike Justin Baldoni or he's the most amazing actor on the planet. Like he was an excellent villain, excellent. The only person who I think was miscast because they didn't really give him much of a role. And in the book he was like kind of like not important, but yeah, like a necessary character, Marshall, who is Ryle's brother-in-law, Ryle's sister's husband. And they have it as Hasan Minhaj. And I know he's like a comedian, but Marshall is very like goofy. I always pictured it as like Jason Segel energy. And I don't know, he just like wasn't matching the goofy vibes. He was like trying to be like funny and like, I don't know. And I know he's

a comedian, but to me, he's so serious, right? Yeah. I didn't think that was kind of the only sort of distracting thing when it came to casting Ben said that he found Blake Lively very distracting because of like Gossip Girl but I think that's just him being very like small small-minded I think so too Gossip Girl we just watched it that's why and like Ben just Ben is just he thinks too small you know yeah it was amazing it's surface and so I know he directed it and so I think a lot of the credit goes to him I thought Blake was amazing like I haven't actually seen a lot of her work post Gossip Girl like I don't know if I would say before this that

she's an amazing actress I thought she was excellent and people have been like like shocked that I liked the movie like I don't know if the consensus was it's good or it's bad but the consensus what is it was it was good and it was that was the consensus by it's good or it's bad, but the consensus, what is it? It was good. And it was, that was the consensus by mostly people who read the book. So I really believe that it was good. It wasn't like rotten tomato says it's good. And it's probably bad. Like, yeah, I feel like I would like it. And I didn't realize it was direct to DVD. I know it's on Apple TV. I was shocked. I'm like, Oh, we're watching it. Okay. Listen to this $25 to buy. I'm sure it'll go down, but right now it's still in the window of like,

in the olden days, it would still be in theaters right now. So it's too many tickets. I'm not complaining about it being $25, although that is absurd. $25 rental? $20 rental. Like, bitch, come on. Who do you think you're fooling?

but fun fact, Taylor Donahue texted me. Their apartment is in the background of the movie. I guess they filmed a lot of it in Jersey city. She was like, did you see, did you see our apartment I'm like no why and it's just like her building um and then she sent me a picture I was like oh damn yeah like no I know what you're talking about that's funny yeah so I really I actually really recommend Ben loved it I think Ben was I kind of I got a little teary-eyed at the end I don't Ben

but I didn't think it was so crazy at all like I thought it was like duh I was just waiting for the episode to drop yeah I literally I feel like I knew it right the episode dropped yesterday so I wanted to check it out there's been like a lot of commotion about it because of like Hurricane Helene which also like is crazy I feel like also it out. That's a bad name. Maybe you'll get the next one. Maybe you'll get to pick the next one. But so yeah, there was just like a lot of noise around the interview, which you would expect. And I want to say, because she did, I didn't watch the interview, but she had like this little intro, like two, three minutes, just sort of explaining her decision. And like, I actually felt bad for her because there's, because this is how I, and by the way, I have no inside information.

This is just what I think went down. Okay. I think Kamala's people reached out because like, it by the way, I have no inside information. This is just what I think went down, okay? I think Kamala's people reached out because like it's an obvious, it's a good strategy. And like, of course, Alex can't say no, but like who really wants to get involved? Like actually, it's horrible.

Like read the comments. Like nobody, even if you have one person on your, if you have Trump on, if you have Kamala on, like it's just going to be horrible comments. And like, you're just, you're going to feel like half your audience

is disappointed in you. The country is extremely divided. So I feel like when she got the call, she was like, oh, like, honestly, like, but, and she handled it really well. She said like, of course, but she's not a political podcast. She doesn't like know a lot about fracking. That's what she said. Like, what am I going to do? Like a episode on the border.

And she also then had her people reach out to Donald Trump that he you know open invitation to come on which I thought was really smart I think she's really just trying to like get through this with like the least amount of bruises as possible because like seriously who would want to put themselves at the center she's just a girl like who would want to put themselves at the center of this well so she did say that in the beginning until I listened to the podcast once it's interesting for like podcasting and like girly swirly podcasting but too like I'm a woman like I want to I want to hear what's going on but like what she said at the top of the show was like how her angle was going to be like talking about things that are important to women so she's not going to

be talking about like or women's bodies she said not talking about the economy or the border fracking but like I don't know I felt it was a little reductive to like assume that women don't care or affected by the economy like I feel like a lot of women especially like moms who like are ahead of the household manage their households are going to the grocery store or buying clothes for their kids or and then they're really affected by the cost of living so I actually felt like the interview would have really benefited for benefited from like a more well-rounded girly swirly take on that like I felt like that conversation would have been really good to have I understand maybe not fracking even though the female frackers that's such a fair

point but like honestly like and this is not a slight like I think Alex Cooper is very smart I think she would admit this too she did like seriously what does she know about like the global economy like if that's like hard to like put together questions for no but it doesn't have to be about the global economy and actually in in the interview, like Kamala kept saying about like practical application of policy. So we don't have to talk about like the global economy, but like practically speaking, like grocery store prices,

like the people's like cost of living, their quality of life, like just tackling like small issues. And that is important to women too. So I felt like there could have been even more conversation had and it would have been kind of um new and fresh to have it in that sort of in a swirly environment in a swirly sort of way that's fair I just think it's it's actually really crazy like power of podcasting

women in media the power of podcasting and so now it's like do you think Trump would go on because he does a lot of podcasts. He kind of doesn't say no to much. He loves to chat. Yeah. And I think he goes to like different corners of the internet. I don't know if he would ever do it. But like, seriously, I would cackle.

I would laugh. Do you think he should like if you were on his team, would you say that he should or he shouldn't? Do you think he should, like, if you were on his team, would you say that he should or he shouldn't? I mean, I would say yes, actually, because it feels like everybody's talking about this interview, right? And, like, you. Well, it's also just, like, we're in this world. Okay, maybe, like, no, but I think everyone is, like. Yeah, no, yes, but also it would feel that way even if they weren't. I think, you know, to be talked about is good, you know, close to the election like who wouldn't want to be like the name on everybody's

lips yeah I don't know I don't know I'm not on his team and it's probably for the best for everyone I think he should and I'm so curious to see if I know she like sent that interview that request invitation being like please don't accept like she well I mean she could have not had her on nobody would have known she declined the opportunity but you don't want to decline like this massive opportunity she posted like a two-part vlog of how the interview came to be and they were supposed to record in Vegas and they set everything up and then the next morning like um the VP's team canceled like do you think she was so relieved by By the way? Yes. I actually, when I was watching, I was like,

she probably was so happy. Yeah. And then they called, like, come to DC. It's like, fuck. No,

I would like, actually love to know what really, and I'm just like projecting, like seriously, just guessing. Yeah. No, that's really fun.

Yeah. Like, it's a cool opportunity, but it's like a heavy burden. And it's gonna, no matter who, if you had Kamala on, if you had Tramp on,

like, you know, it comes with this wave of intense reactions. And like, who the fuck wants that? Honestly, like when you're a podcaster, you're just trying to like have fun and make a living and like make everyone giggle. Yeah. So it's really crazy. Yeah, it was crazy.

So I think that's everything. We'll get to love his line at the end. I had a list of things. Other than that, I feel comfortable getting into the fast five stories with liam payne being our first no liam payne is not deserving by the for you anything liam payne is not deserving of our first but this is um one of those days where kind of the five are okay let's do it equal so for turdy liam payne wait i just I just wanted to remind you that like later in the show, because we forgot to have this conversation before.

Our first story, Liam Payne. Okay, I'm obsessed. Let me tell you, okay? Okay. There's a number of like buckets here. Liam Payne is like an unemployed ex-pop star. You know what's so funny? I saw, we'll get into like why he's a troubled youth.

But somebody said like the reason why he's having such a hard time is because I think no matter how you slice it, like we could all give our different rankings of how the other members of the band dealt. Harry, Niall, Zayn, Louis, what's his name?

Liam. Liam. That's what I would say. And I think that is the correct one. But it's open to interpretation. I don't know. There's the elder. Yeah, but no no Zayn married

up like sorry in terms of celebrity and fame and relevancy like he's there yeah they're not married you know what I mean like he's taken the tabloids even though he like wasn't making music that people were listening to yeah in terms of like celebrities okay whatever celebrity so over the weekend and I guess Liam Payne has like a big snapchat that's like what he does for a living he's probably snapping with Payne has like a big Snapchat. That's like what he does for a living. He's probably snapping with Dana. And he has like a cute little like influencer girlfriend. And so they were making. Maya Henry.

No, no, no. Not Maya. Maya Henry is his ex-girlfriend who is now like spilling the tea. Because everyone this weekend was talking about Liam Payne. So he went to an Isle Horan concert, which a normal person would say, that's so sweet, you know, helping, you know, supporting your friend. No. The concert was in Argentina.

And, like, him and his girlfriend just, like, packed up and went. And, like, didn't, like, tell Niall. Like, they just sort of, like, ambushed. How do you know they didn't tell Niall? Because they have, like, a strained relationship. And they just, like, because that's what the internet's saying. Like, that he just sort of showed up and was like, I'm coming. And it's kind of a long way to go.

They took a nine-hour flight to flight to like go support a friend. Bizarre behavior. But what happened at the concert was so crazy. And like there is this like running theory that Liam just like has this, like he almost treats Niall like, like a hostage. Like when they have pictures together, you like Niall looks like afraid. He's just like kind of, Liam's kind of like erratic and crazy. And Niall's just like trying to keep the peace. So all these videos started to come out of Liam at the concert he was

in a suite I saw yeah he was in a suite like being freaky like he was just being weird like being and the the overall um like caption that was like accompanying these videos is like Liam Payne is never beating the attention seeker allegations like he goes to Niall's concert and this is like this huge moment for Niall it's like you know this foreign country he's playing this huge arena and before the concert starts like Liam goes out into onto his balcony of his suite and like literally he's holding a meet and greet and like everyone's filming him and he's like being so cringe like like making faces hands in his pockets like dancing to the music and like dancing for people's cameras and being like oh my god keeps coming back to the railing to like see people like trying to make this like moment for Niall about him in addition to being like cringe as fucking

hell so these videos really took the internet by storm there's like a video of security like literally asking him to stop and like Liam just straight up ignoring the security guard like being really really cringy and so that sort of set off this just like chain reaction because people were talking a lot about Liam Payne and then his ex-girlfriend Maya Henry decided to like make a bunch of TikToks spilling you know random tea and I guess there has long been a story within the One Direction community about this backstage brawl where somebody put their hands on Liam and, like, shoved him up against a wall.

Yeah. And Maya Henry shared. No, wait, sorry. Who did they put up against the wall? They beat up. They put Zayn. No, they put Liam. And people thought, like, they never said who it was,

but people thought it was Louis. I don't know why they would think that. Maya Henry, the ex-girlfriend, coming out, like, knowing what the people want to say and, like, they never said who it was, but people thought it was Louis. I don't know why they would think that. Maya Henry, the ex-girlfriend, coming out, like, knowing what the people want to say, and be like, no, it was Zayn. Like, duh. I mean, the pipeline from, like, beating up your bandmate to beating up your mother-in-law is a short trip.

Wait, I just want to say, I think, like, physically, Louis is the smallest of all of them. Like, why would people think it was him? I guess like if you truly did, like you could have alluded like to it being Zayn,

like just by default, like it wasn't Louis. I think at that point, like Harry was very much not like, like Zayn was the one who had like an issue with the band. Like he left. Yeah. So that sent like the One Directioners into an absolute tailspin. Just this huge bombshell moment. Because, you know, I feel like we are always like talking about random things in pop culture. And like imagine if 10 years later, like you get a confirmation from a close source like about what actually happened.

Yeah. So the One Directioners, like we've just now checked in with them for the first time in a while. Like they're seriously not okay. Yeah. and like did this like really terrible choreography and like the videos from it, like you know they taunt him. It's like Whitney's RSV video. Like they never stopped talking about it and now there's just been like added a whole new bunch of content to like the folder of things Liam Payne is known for

because he hasn't really done much after One Direction. Yeah. I don't know. It's giving Mountain out of a molehill. Oh, wait, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I forgot the biggest part. So then this picture of Liam and Niall comes out. I guess, like, Liam, you know, busted his way backstage.

And it's like, if a picture says a thousand words, look at him holding the necklace. Liam is holding Niall's necklace like almost like a collar I see so it doesn't help that he has his finger in the chain here I'll show you

it doesn't help the narrative that like Niall is afraid of Liam and just like just tolerates him to keep the peace perhaps but he could have not let him backstage but that's not how that doesn't keep the peace.

This person traveled nine hours for you, you know? Yeah. I think Liam, it sounds like he has a history of being an oddball. Yes, that's a really good way of putting it. So if he was just an oddball for the first time on the balcony, I'd be like, oh, something weird is going on. But it sounds like Liam's going to leave. No, and Liam, like, I think, loved being in One in one direction and I think when the band split apart like I think everybody

experienced it differently right like I think Harry was like free me from these shackles of these losers like let me go Zayn was like I don't give a fuck I hate these people Louis was dealing with a lot of personal tragedy like I don't even think he had time to deal with like the band he lost like two family members like there was a lot going on and I think Niall was really bummed but made the most of it you know and just like all right I'll do my own thing let's see how it goes I think Liam it was like I think if they were all in therapy like we would see this as being like what broke Liam you know and I think seeing all the other bandmates really have a lot of success I think it's hard and so they the allegations of him being like an attention seeker because he

loved he was at one point in the biggest band in the world like that's hard yeah the allegations of him being an attention seeker I would say like really most people who are getting up on stage and singing for a living like are seeking attention and not in a negative you know I should have expected that you would take Liam's side like when when I asked you to do this story, like her and her fucking hot takes. Like if you could just once. I'm not taking Liam's side. I'm just like, I'm not feeling like as shocked

and moved by the behavior. Like took a nine hour flight to support his, someone he thinks is his friend. Like I would do it for you, Turdy. I would do it in a heartbeat. You and I are not Liam and Niall. Like we never have been and we never will be oh my god of course she's like team Liam I can't with you like you're so toxic I'm not team Liam like it does he's not someone I

think I would want to like be around they're definitely him and I'm seeing like these clips of him and his gf okay wait and you know there's another like viral moment that goes in the folder of leah payne when he went on jake paul's podcast that's where he told the story about someone shoving him up against the wall and he said it in such a cringe way he was like this person put me up against the wall and i said if you don't get your hands off me not gonna have hands left they're just it was giving leah lockin um so every time this man steps out it's cringe mcginnge and there's just so much content around this particular trip to Argentina because his girlfriend's like a bit of an influencer she was like vlogging the trip I see he's a travel

influencer too so maybe like Argentina was next on her list seriously maybe like she had free flights yeah maybe she got the tickets I would love to know how Liam Payne pays his bills. Because I saw the inside of his house. I assumed it was his house. She was like, get ready with us to go to the airport. And they had like a nice car service. They flew first class. And I'm sure you made a lot of money in One Direction.

But that was a long time. Divided by five. And it was a long time ago. Yeah. And I'm sure they still get like royalty checks. Because like those songs get tons of streams. Like people definitely. I still listen to Random One Direction all the time. Yeah, but like streaming is not going to make you.

Priscilla wanted a minivan. So I've been designing something. It looks like.

70 million dollars right and they also i believe had like a 300 million dollar budget this is like a huge movie this is bad yeah i imagine they'll make their money back like at the end of the day but it's so crazy and also it's like okay so say the movie was bad but like there are plenty of Joker fans who have to like go and see the movie in order to find out that it's bad yeah like because the weird thing about this is like you said it's like a Marvel DC it's a comic movie and but yeah but the Joker has always had like a little bit more of a serious edge to it it's almost like a mental health film um right but this one they really made like really artsy and like the people who want like comic books are very like mass America like they don't want to see like Lady Gaga scatting and Joaquin Phoenix like being like an artist like it's like a message

people speak in not real sentences like you're not even saying anything and every other word is like like like and they speak like in t language I actually thought that these people were like really eloquent and mature and I was like it was giving Love is Bond UK that was like my initial my initial reaction to the group and then it just like slowly started to deteriorate and then like the people they decided to focus on like they just chose the work well it's not that they chose it's like that's how it ended up like no because they chose not to follow Britney and Leo and to me like I only have the most to say about Britney and Leo like the way that whole saga captivated me of course at the beginning like Leo our dealer like with the big Jewish star around his neck like

kill like seriously kill me by the end though like I could I could deal with him and I and I was sort of rooting for him even though he like was really annoying along the way and like they're talking about money and by the time like him and Brittany got together I wanted them to get together just to like get on with the experiment now of course like he wanted Hannah and Hannah denied him and then he like pretends like Brittany's his first choice and we all know it didn't happen that way but like I want to be engaged to someone like give me some something um and so I I also wanted when there's a four people and someone has a connection with two people like I like when everybody gets a partner of course and then we

can like iron out the details in Mexico but like let's all go to Mexico instead of like what happened with like Jimmy and Chelsea and Jessica and Trevor we got like two people and then we have to go wait to the lake till everyone sees each other like that for entertainment value I like when everybody has a partner but at least yeah but at least like they all ended up seeing each other I don't think Brittany and Leo come back on this show at all well the fact that they didn't follow their engagement is so confusing to me because I thought they were the most interesting entertaining couple he was got so much airtime as did she and towards the end I was kind of like they're kind of perfect for each

other like she wants a wealthy guy and he's a wealthy guy and he wants like a beautiful girl that he could take care of and she's a beautiful girl who wants to be taken care of so they made it so obvious that they like both were just like so here for the wrong reasons that like I don't think in good faith like they could have continued you can't reward that type of behavior like to get engaged to someone and not be able to tell them that you love them like that's not a real engagement like this whole thing by the end it was such a farce like the girl he wanted said no and then like he just chose some other random girl like it was such a farce and it was so fake that the one thing about by the way

the one thing about this show like we could say what we want it's like it is a legitimate experiment like they almost always end up with multiple couples multiple people's married there are a million people who are still married like this I really think like if they had continued with this charade like it would have chipped away at the authenticity of the experiment but that happens all the time when someone's between two people one person makes the choice and they go to the second person and there's a way to finesse it that is fine and you get these people were not trying to yeah but Hannah and Brittany were like talking they usually don't talk the girls or the two people they were talking a lot in the lounge yeah sharing if Chelsea had chosen Trevor Jimmy could have chosen Jess even though like we knew she was kind of second place but like it could have been finesse.

So the fact that they couldn't, I don't know, make that believable for us. But I guess, and I know that like, they're looking for serious couples, but they have serious couples. These two were so entertaining. I was genuinely shocked that they decided not to follow them.

Brittany obviously did not like him from a physical perspective. And like, maybe she, like when the cameras were off, we're like, listen, I'm out. And maybe that's why they didn't follow them. Maybe.

Maybe she couldn't fake it staying in a hotel room with this person. The entertainment value of like Hannah and other guy and Brittany and Leo in Mexico. Like they are also doing a TV show. Like I was ready and excited to see that. Now Hannah. That's always the best part of Mexico. Of course. The group function.

And we didn't have that. I, I, I had to pause the show and I was just then stalking them on Instagram. I found Leo's Instagram. He makes like a lot of content about art. I wasn't like not learning stuff. I was learning some stuff. I need to talk about Hannah because I feel like there was Taylor, right, on one end who went so far out of her way to not give any sort of indication as to what she

looked like she didn't even want him to know his mother's name because it would have been an indication of her race like I think for the like this was I saw a bunch of couples like so extreme in not sharing their anything about their looks and then you know you're reminded of like Chelsea saying who you're it's like there are roundabout ways of saying what you look like oh my celebrity doppelganger is Megan Fox and I felt like Hannah did that a lot she kept saying like I always choose the wrong guys who just want me for my looks and she just kept saying like a lot of really like leading types of things um while also saying that she was so um worried about like she has her own insecurity she brought up her

weight a lot and then for her to see her fiance who by the way say what you want about Nick I know he has like a bad reputation he has been nothing but steadfast in his in his obsession with Hannah like he has given her no reason to doubt and I want to say something about Monica in a second in regards to how me Steven's fiance your favorite person Steven Steven so for her to open the gates and the first thing she says is like oh he's small he misled me saying he's a football player why he literally is a football player he's not even that small by the way he said he's a kicker like the kicker is always small that she was like so turned off by his appearance when like the whole time it's like i would love you if you were this and would you

she's asking would you love me if i was a worm and like she wants unconditional love no matter what the person sees and like she can't get over the fact that like in her big ass heels she's taller than him like girl take your heels off no she's awful I thought that was so rude and so like you expect that sort of like dumb shallow behavior from a man like not from a woman who's really actually seriously looking for let me tell you the problem with Hannah is she's 26 okay she's so immature she's obviously 26 but also like really immature really insecure so she reads like an actual 18 year old so yeah her age is really a hindrance in this process it's funny because Leo said she was like the most mature one that he's met no oh my god that conversation where

she tried to break up with Leo and she's just screaming sighing crying throwing up and he's met no oh my god that conversation where she tried to break up with leo and she's just screaming sighing crying throwing up and he's right because she can't even like stand behind the decision that she made because she doesn't know what decision to make it was so funny watching that just juxtaposed with marissa who i have other issues with but marissa had two connections bodden and ramses and they were both going really well like she's having so much fun with both of them and then she just sits bottom down and says one like we have so much fun but I find we I listen and it's very similar to like the love is blind UK guys but Naya she sits him down and said we have a really strong connection but my connection with Ramsey's is a little more romantic that she's

able to identify that and also say and now I want to spend the time working on my one connection not get to the last day having spread myself yeah with two connections the entire time I'm like that is maturity that's emotional maturity true the fact that Hannah couldn't do that couldn't identify which connection she liked more and then like zero in on it and when she finally did make a choice couldn't even stand by that choice and and Leo was making it easy for her because he was being a dick so it's like oh well thank you for telling me what i need to know he was being a dick and she still didn't even break up with him like she just loved having two guys and like she wanted to be a main storyline like i found her and then when she said that thing about nick who i can't believe nick has such a bad reputation like oh he's charming he's like a smooth talker not a crime um but here's

also a good example because in love is blind uk there was a guy who was saying all the right things um sam and for some reason you couldn't believe what he was saying like he was saying everything perfect but it just like wasn't right it was just intuition saying like this guy's full of shit and we had confirmation because the men said this guy is bad news he's there for the wrong reasons we never had that with nick i feel like if he was one of those guys leo could have easily said to hannah by the way nick is not here for the wrong reasons we never had that with Nick I feel like if he was one of those guys Leo could have easily said to Hannah by the way Nick is not here for the right reasons like he's got issues with the guys in the house that wasn't the case she had no reason to doubt him other than just a feeling and so my issue with Monica is that like I felt like Hannah was

getting such bad advice in the pods like I mean in the lounge she would have the pods and like have her feelings come back and tell everyone and Monica and that other sports casting girl were being like you can't choose Nick but she initially liked Nick like she was like Nick really this and Monica has such a hard-on for Nick like she literally walked in and like to that beach but you didn't see in Mexico Mexico when they all meet for the first time she sees Nick and then makes a comment in her thing like oh he's small and basically calling him ugly it's like bitch you ended up with a man who's a cheater. Okay, Steven, I mean, I guess you could technically

in a technical definition define me as a cheater. Bitch, you literally cheated. Veronica, you chose a cheater. Close your mouth. Stop judging other people. Claudia, I forgot that Steven's even a cheater. Steven is so many things. He's seriously like the worst, most insufferable type of man.

Yeah, I don't, like, I was not, I kept forgetting about them. Like, they're very forgettable. And they were, like, talking about their connection. I'm like, is the connection in the room with us? What are you guys talking about? And I just think that, like, she got so fixated. His story is obviously crazy. Like, you see him, he's just, like, a white guy.

His whole life thought he was Italian. Does one of those tests. Turns out he's, like a white guy he this whole life thought he was Italian does one of those tests turns out he's like 80% Nigerian Ghanaian by the way the percent keeps changing his dad is a quarter his dad is his dad is three-fourths that's what it was and then he said his dad is three-fourths that's what he said so it turns out he has like that doesn't make him that doesn't make Steven 80% no it doesn't but he's like he has this huge African background and I guess when he found that out, his first thing that he did was like, go buy some books on his, on his culture. Like very normal. Like that's what a mature, curious person does. She acted, he bought books. Like

he's also a cheater. Like everything else went out the window when he bought a book. Like, and I understand like being happy. Somebody has respect for their culture. I think that's beautiful. But I felt like it just just it was like the only thing she thought of when there were so many other red flags with him no and the thing is to me the cheating isn't even a huge red flag because Freddie from love is blind had cheated and we could forgive him a thousand times over the way he told the story well I have to um you know I hate the label but I guess technically I'm a cheat like just fucking fess up and I also think the cheating that he did is like kind of one of the worst kind he slid into

someone's dms he had like an emotional affair that's like being having those thoughts like not just I made a mistake one time I was drunk I hooked up you laid a plan that's really fucking crazy to have like a ongoing emotional affair with someone in a lot of ways. Like, I think that that's what's worse. And also the fact of the way he tried to like say it while acting like he's taking accountability, but like passing it off is like not that bad. And bringing it up.

That's what I mean when I say he's like so insufferable because he's like, I'm accountable on this and that. But like, you're really not. And I'm sure there's more to the story. There always is. Oh my God. And Monica was just really pissing me off like giving like Hannah wasn't helping herself but she's younger and these older women were giving her advice like they were giving her bad advice and like they were kind of like mocking her for liking Nick and I think that's why she

told him to go home I think she like felt embarrassed like everybody was making fun of her like that other girl who works in sports casting who had like two dates with Nick being like yeah I can't believe like you fell for like smooth talk shut up I guess but that's that didn't bother me as much because like if you love someone and you have a connection with them like you should be able to like withstand some chatter from the girls who don't see him like you see him like but that's her be it's all on Hannah like being immature I don't want to say that only like older people should go on this show because I don't think that that's true and I think at 26 frontal lobe there you can be old enough to go on the show but like she didn't know thyself she didn't know what she was looking for she didn't have like the confidence in her own decisions and

it's a mess it's a mess I completely agree I'm sorry I only brought it up because when Monica comes in she just says something nasty about Nick and like I said it I about his it put it into context like everything she had been saying she has like a hard-on for him like shut up wait I just want to say like am I crazy like Nick is a very good looking guy I have no idea what these people are talking about he's so normal looking he could be on The Bachelor he's 5'9 which isn't short but it's not tall and if she takes her heels off she is shorter than him it's literally the least big deal if you are someone who wants to be shorter than your man, like you can achieve that. And he didn't have a problem with it.

He said, wear your heels. Just don't wear the Claude Hoppers. He said, wear your heels during the reveal. You could wear a kitten heel. She had a kitten heel of difference. Let's talk about Tyler and Ashley A., who are like my favorite couple until I found out this morning. Like to me, they were really the only reason I was keep watching.

They have this really nice conversation about, she's like, and they're both really religious. So at first you think it's about that, but it's really not. She's like, I've been doing, I've been like keeping abstinence. I'm sorry, I don't know what the right verb is, but I've been doing abstinence.

She's like not- I've been abstinent. I've been abstaining. Oh my God, are we okay? And not for any religious reason. It was this thing called like soul swapping. I had never heard of it, but he was like totally, like he knew what she was talking about. And I reason it was this thing called like soul swapping I had never heard of it but he was like totally like he knew what she was talking about and I guess it's this thing where like you know sex is so personal and so intimate just like to have

casual sex like you feel like you're giving a piece of your soul away and like you want to keep that for yourself and she's like I've just not been having sex with like with guys that I'm not seriously seeing and he was like totally respect that I love it they prayed together before bed like I just fucking love these people and I thought that their connection was so authentic. I loved him. Like every time they went to the guy's quarters, he was like that guy hyping up other guys. Like I just like, I seriously,

I thought they were like the best couple ever. Now the children. There's obviously nothing wrong with having kids. Right. But it appears as though he is really minimizing his involvement in the kid's life and the mom and grandma of the kids are sharing all these pictures being like what are you talking about sperm donor? Has he mentioned to Ashley that he has these kids? I haven't gotten there yet.

I think you should wait and make the decision for yourself. Like I think there is a way in which he's minimizing it for a good reason like maybe to protect the identity which that I understand but the mom is now posing pics of the kids like okay that's her choice yeah I think because and it's also like every you know she'll get some eyeballs from this process but not as much as him I think you can wait they don't that doesn't have to ruin the show for you because like seriously by the end of the episode I was watching I was only tuning in for them what about the scientists the scientists are really compatible and really cute they are not interesting

Brittany and Leo were interesting yeah okay Brittany anyone else and also I'm sorry Hannah and Nick are interesting yeah oh a lot of the cast members look very different yes Garrett looks really different now Hannah is a completely new person she has hair like down to her ankles she's lost like a ton of weight she had said that she had recently lost 45 pounds I feel like she was in the middle of a journey yeah because now she's at the end of the journey I also feel like when you're in the middle of a transformative journey like that transforming inside and out like it's not the time to like be going on a show like this and meeting your potential life partner like you're still figuring yourself out however like love is blind only comes to DC once in a while

like sign me up by the way that's such a good point like going through a physical transformation like really fucks with your head and it's like the show is only imagine dating on that dating plus being on a show that's not about Claudia being on a show that's not about looks until it becomes all about looks and like looks is like the the hover the elephant in the room and it's like it's a mind fuck before you're even going through a transformative formative journey I also want to say so while I was on my Leo Brittany like rabbit hole like wanted to see their trip to Miami um Leo posted a bunch of stuff about how a lot of the people in the house and they've attested to this had no idea that he had money or

came for money and that he actually did not talk about it that much now we heard about him talk about it like three separate times and it sounded like that was all he was talking about but it seems as though those were like the three times he talked about it it wasn't like this big thing one girl commented like oh Leo I didn't know you were rich you rich like call me and then someone maybe it was Tyler went on the vile files oh and they asked him about Leo like what are your thoughts on Leo and because he's obviously getting like the villain edit and he was like I didn't know anything about Leo he never mentioned that he was seemed like a really good guy like he really like was vouching for him and it just made me like question what we saw about him now of course like

there were things that he said that he said those things and right with that but like I do feel like he got the villain edit a little bit oh for sure and I don't think he's a bad person if anything he's just like an annoying loser but I I boiled it down I know what's wrong with Leo because like the thing is when you grow up uber wealthy like you the assumption is that you're cool you know like you have had experiences most people never have like he said country club Rolex you know he isn't like the Rolex was passed down from his grandfather like he's different than just going out and buying a Rolex he is inherently like uncool and so he says things that like if a cool person said it you might think it was different

but there's just like he's not suave like that and he thinks he is so he's just an uncool rich person which it's hard to be like to be rich it's like half the work is done for you you know yeah yeah I just thought it was there was entertainment value there and I was really shocked that they cut us off now the last two couples that we haven't spoken about Ramsey's and Marissa I have something to say about Marissa and I know every time I recap with you I bring up this conversation about Will Ferrell and you probably didn't think anything of it no I thought it was so weird okay it was like a dumb question when she was first of all Will Ferrell's funnier she was like Will Ferrell or Adam Sandler it's a a fine question, honestly. I have no problems with it.

It's a little weird. But I felt like when she asked it and then the conversation that happened after, like really pinpointed that she was just like such a people pleaser. Because she was like, okay, Will Ferrell or Adam Sandler? And her belief is that like Will Ferrell is the least funny person on the planet. And like Adam Sandler invented comedy. So Ramsey's, was it Ramsey's or was it the other guy? Ramsey's. He says, oh, was it the other guy Ramsey's he says

oh well Farrell and she like vehemently disagrees with her so they they answered a question there was a or b and they both chose separate things and she asked that question as like a test of like match of compatibility not just like this or that this or that she was like this is the question I have to ask you but then Ramsey's was like but I will say like elf is not good and she was like oh my god I agree we're soulmates no you literally just vehemently like you're on opposite sides if that's the test for compatibility you failed yeah and I know it's such a dumb small moment but I really felt like it was like oh you're not a serious person no you're not a serious person like will for Adam who gives a fuck they're the same thing no it's such a bad question

my issue was with the question not even with the way she contorted herself mine was the people work for her yeah but it was a window i feel like into them not working out like dead ass yeah yeah um but i do think he's a better match for her then i'm so sorry boden i i actually liked what she said because they both were having great conversation and because she has the people because they're everything was like yeah we're the same we're the same oh my god we're literally soulmates we're soulmates we're soulmates by the way I just want to say like two people should not be the same right isn't that the old adage opposites attract like if you find someone who is your carbon copy like you probably shouldn't

be together just based on like the laws of physics no it's so true yeah um but when she said like she had more romantic feelings and what it was more friendly with bottom I'm like okay that's a good enough reason for me yeah and I thought she was very mature about her decision like I don't have any problems with what she did really in the pot I thought her strategy was so fair she was very communicative with everyone it was when you put it up against like the other love triangle it was so much better handled like so much better handled. Like so much better handled. There's a clean. I don't envy anyone in that position.

You're making a big decision that's going to affect a lot of people's lives potentially for the rest of their life. It's a hard decision to make, but it can be done well. There is nothing wrong with having multiple connections. But at some point, like you have to just have one. And to be on the last day before you get proposed to, he's still talking to another girl. Like that's not it. Yeah.

And don't you want to like focus on that one and strengthen it so that when you do say yes to an engagement like you really feel like you know this person and that's your fiance yeah that and same goes for Leo by the way he'd handled it like shit too he should have made a choice earlier on but as you said like he wanted to be on the show so you don't do that the last time I think he liked Hannah more but she wasn't ready to choose him so he was just sort of waiting it out the thing is I don't even know if he liked Hannah more I think this happens a lot on the show where like a girl is in a love triangle with with another woman and she is so like because women are more emotional like we seek clarity we just want to know what page we're on and someone being like I don't know I love you both like

that's infuriating so they get to a place where every date they have with this person just turns into like an argument about the other person and then so Leo's like well I like Brittany but every time we hang out we fight right it's always like one of them starts every conversation to me yes where you kind of self-sabotage because you just want answers and then the man thinks of you like oh this girl's kind of miserable and so you do like you implode and like Jess was like listen you have to tell me and he was like okay it's not you. Right I just like I'm not a big on parallel universes but I would like love to see what would happen if like Jimmy had chosen Jess. I actually don't think they would have worked out.

Really? Yeah she's like a whole lot of woman and like the thing is in the pods I think he was maybe a hot commodity but like in the real world I don't think so. But I'm not going to let that ruin the season for me. No, and to be clear, I just wanted to say, because I know Nation of Islam as, like, Louis Farrakhan. I'm not anti-Semitic. I'm just anti-termite. I then like went on their Wikipedia page, like really to see what they're all about. But I mean, me too. Okay. By the way, I didn't realize like that. I want it to be clear. Like Nation of Islam is like a nationalist group. They are not Muslim.

Like they're two separate things. Like I just want to be entirely clear about that. And they like, their beliefs are that like Jews injected the black community with AIDS. Like they start. Amongst others. That's one. That's one. But that one really stuck with me.

I was like, oh my God, that's new. Like they are the, I completely agree. No, it would literally be like her sitting there being like, my grandfather has a photo with David Duke. Like it's the same thing. And the fact that there was nothing like about how terrible it is. She was proud. And then he was like, oh wow, that's like with Malcolm X I'm like uh no thanks yeah I agree I was I was really shook by that I was like oh so whether they're right for each other doing well I have no idea I'm not

paying attention well I just want to say she obviously does not like him in a physical sense and she is like really she's not being awful to him but she's not being like and I actually think he's a really nice guy I think he's like a very I think he's like the type of guy you would be lucky to have right he's very communicative he has this he shared all these things with him with her about his sisters who both passed away like she gave him this I think she's so unworthy I think she like I think in the pods I was like oh I think she's genuine and now in person I feel like she's just like completely written him off but she doesn't want to be you know shallow understood so she'll wait yeah until the proposals but there are so many couples I know and I feel like a lot

of times there's like you know eight couples that go to Mexico or eight couples that get engaged and Netflix does their own pairing down to like five or six and I think they could have used a little bit of pairing down like there are some couples here who are really uninteresting. Like who? Monica and Steven are, like I think that they're, they're not interesting at all, honestly. They make me chuckle.

And I don't think that their chemistry, because I don't think Garrett and Taylor are interesting at all either, but their chemistry is interesting. And like the show needs serious couples like that. And they're wildly interesting people. They're so smart. Literally the first thing she said

when she was talking Nick and Vanessa about like retro grading date, like she's just so smart. She's a pleasure to listen to. The fact that they have those little like theories. It's so fucking cute. It's lessons in chemistry. Like we need that,

even though they're not the most interesting, like it like Lauren and Cameron yes a thousand percent you need those like core couples yeah I they're like one of my faves right now no and the thing is they're such a big group and when they all get together there is no crossover like there's no love triangle that made it out that's where the entertainment lies so if you're gonna have such a big group for that reason like because there's a bunch of you know people who used to date love that throw them all in a pool perfect I really think it was a mistake to not follow Brittany and Leo I know they don't want to encourage their sponsor behavior but like they've got plenty of it already and it's take it would take away from the from the entertainment value of the show and I was I was really floored by that decision because we've never followed a couple watch them get engaged and then they say we're not we've decided not

to follow them Jackie do you know we're going on an hour and 45 minutes um I just was looking at the clock I'm like there's no way it makes sense we had so much to talk about today oh my god I just got up I'm literally sweating my back oh my god okay we could call it the Kurds are at their limit no but we just like actually have to get the episode up. Yeah. Yeah. That's going to be even longer because it's now we're 45. Okay.

Um, I also just wanted to say Brittany from love is blind. Like is Bridget from the bar. Like if you guys follow at Bridget on Instagram, they look and talk the same and it's a compliment. They're both beautiful. I want to say by the end, like I was so endeared to Brittany. That's also why I wanted to follow her journey. Like, did she find the man for her? She was seriously so sweet.
