my business partner and best friend. Jacques-Bullet. Hey, how y'all doing? I am doing overwhelmed. Don't you feel like we have so much to talk about today? Like obviously Dancing with the Stars. Obviously Taylor's new album. We didn't get to do Dear Toasters yesterday

because it was the first episode back after a long weekend so we push it to today. So we also have Deer Toasters today. It's kind of giving we should push it to tomorrow, but we won't. No, no, no, no. I'm actually glad that we have toasters today because... I'm glad we have Toasters every day. We have Dancing with the Stars and we have Taylor's new album.

And like, that's kind of all we have. And you know what? That's kind of all I need, you know? Yeah, yeah. No, but I think it's going to be like a slow three stories today, maybe. Then let me drop some T in the PFFB, okay? Please do. Now, I know everybody's sick of me being cardboard, and I'm going to tell you guys something.

And I'll have preface by saying, like, I know I can afford it, yada, yada. But I just like think conceptually what I paid for a pedicure yesterday is insane. And I guess I never noticed because I never get just a pedicure. Right. I always go manicure, pedicure. But I didn't get a manicure. And then you get a little massage and the bill wraps up. Exactly. But you're like, I got a lot of services. So it costs money. And I wanted to relax yesterday on my phone. So I said, you know, let's get a pedicure. And, you know, my toenails were starting to scratch my comforter. You know that feeling?

Yeah. I got a dazzled dry pedicure. What do you think that you cost? $80. Oh my God. You're fucking crazy. $80. Well, you just sort of like, $1. took the wind from underneath my story because it was 49 and I was like $50 for a pedicure.

Okay, $50 for a pedicure and dazzle dry. So that's like between. You do get a little bump. That's closer to gel. You know, you're paying for more. It's not closer to gel. You're paying for a more premium polish. So $50 for a pedicure in New York City in 2026, Claudia, I really don't know how it gets better than that.

I guess like, and conceptually, I do feel that pedicures, pedicures aren't undervalued. service because like this person's touching your nasty ass foot. Like, and I have nice feet, like relative to what I see at the salon. So I think that they've always been undercharging. But, you know, I grew up where, you know, a manicure costs $10, sometimes eight. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I was like, should we go to the place that's an $8.

$8 or $11? And you know what? The times have changed. And I'm glad for the pedicures because that is a service that we should honestly all be paying $200 for. Like you don't have to pay me $200 to touch your feet. Like, yeah. So I was just shocked that I got like one service.

I guess I never get one service, so I really saw it all itemized out. And now I'm feeling like I shouldn't have shared the story because you said $80. No, but I think that speaks to really like the cardboard nature because I guess, yeah. She's cardboarding too close to the sun. Well, one thing about me is I do not cardboard when it comes to tipping at the nail salon. I'm like, I'm literally a Rockefeller. Yeah. I'm going 50, 60%.

Yeah, she's not going to, she's not going to accept those cheap allegations. I won't, I won't. The thing about cardboard is that it's not cheapness. because I don't, I'm not stingy. Like I won't not pay for it. I'm just gonna complain about it, you know? It's more of a conceptual cheapness than a practical cheapness.

I understand. Sure. And then the second T in the PFFB I wanted to drop. Yeah. Ooh. Oh, really? I felt like we had such a great time.

We had like the whole $80 joke. Oh, yeah, yeah. You're welcome for contributing to the podcast in a meaningful way. The second piece of tea is actually tea, though. I feel that like something is sort of like You know, we talk on the show. We have a bubble, you know?

People listen. I feel like something has sort of like transcended the bubble. Yes. And I'd like to discuss it. I would like to discuss it as well. And especially watching Dancing with the Stars House night. Like my experience was kind of ruined. Just like knowing that the Huff's siblings, like, think we don't like them.

When you know historically, I'm a huge fan of Julianne Huff. Like nobody's a bigger footloose fan than me. And I fear that unless you listened to the episode entirely, like, you're sort of humorless about the whole thing because this clip went viral. We didn't clip it. There's like this account clipping our content which I love but like without context

I'm like coming for Derek Hoff. Apparently Claudia said and I want to see the account because I just heard about it in passing yesterday. It's an account that clips our hottest takes which even we won't do. Well I don't think it clips our hottest takes. It clips it's like AI. It's clipping like all this shit.

So all of the takes are in there and there are a lot that are going viral. Interesting. From that one of them being the Derek Huff piece. And so if you let's use this episode like I was obviously kidding. Like Derek Huff is not my op and I made him weenie because like he made me feel uncomfortable like it was

a joke but I guess this clip went so viral I'm getting tagged like in so many Derek Huff things people being like this is like the sweetest man and then Trisha Pate has talked about on her podcast like also lacking complete context and she has like this not co-host but like this guy who sits in the corner for episodes and he's like a journalist and he's like supposed to tell her all the facts and he just like watched a clip

it's like those aren't the facts sir so he's like gassing Trissa up being like these girls are so annoying. I saw a small clip where it really seemed like she was like, I really don't want to, like I don't have any context here. Is this part of a joke? Is this part of a bit? Like, I don't have. It's almost like there's someone on her show whose job it is to provide the context. And she said that she likes us and that essentially she's afraid of us and doesn't want to go there with us. And that works for me. That works perfectly for me. I feel the same way about Trisha. I want literally zero beef with you. I respect you actually a lot.

We see each other. And like, we're good. But I feel that now it's getting blown up even more. Like, I fear I need to repeat myself. I was kidding. It's a joke. It's a bit. Derikov is actually not my op like in this world.

Yeah, we have like kind of a long storied history of being kind of like freaky fan girls of Julianne half. Remember when we like attacked her at that red carpet? I do. I tried to find the picture yesterday and it's not in my phone, which is devastating. So if that account could clip this to. let like people outside of our show know like we're not a bunch of like weenies like it was a joke and you have to really watch all of the toast every day to understand our personalities and our segments and

if you're not doing that like you can't adjudicate on a clip that you saw because you don't know what's in our hearts it's so true you don't know what's in our hearts oh yeah and so that like really that guy like totally hates us the one who like sits in the corner of jrish's podcast and he was bringing up another clip that went viral from that account was our take on ashley duprey actually that might have been one of our own clips. That was our own clip. And so he was just like, they are annoying and have the worst takes. It's like, you don't get it.

You don't get it. No, you don't get it. I'm very proud of that tape and you never will. And I feel like our, those of us in this generation feel that way. Yes. And you know what? It's a women's issue. So why don't you stay the hell out of it?

Well, I did feel like in large part like not you coming into my female dominant pop culture space and telling me I'm annoying. Of course, not you trying to put us. against Trisha Padas. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Couldn't be me. I would never pit a woman against another woman. You guys know historically, I don't believe in that. Yeah, there's a lot of history here today

that we need to dig up. Oh, yeah. Time to whip out the history books. Yeah. McGraw-Hill. I agree. I agree. We're like reaching people who don't know us

and that's always very scary because they don't know what's in our hearts. And they only know like our kind of viral hot takes. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. And one thing about our takes. There's so much heart. There's so much heart behind them. Hot and heart.

I got it resize so that I can wear it at more sizes, not just my bottom weight. And I feel like right now it's actually a good time to get it resized because I'm sort of like mid.

So it'll fit me going up and going down. It'll fit you small. It fit me on the way up, Ben on the way down. I'm cracking up. So, and I actually didn't wind. up like resetting it like I thought I was going to do because I just I missed her so like let me live with her and let's see if I want to still reset it in a few months or in a year or whatever and then I also got um a wedding band underneath because I didn't have one oh that I like wore with my rings so

I'm just like ladies she's off the market stay away sorry fellas well I feel that that's actually extremely relatable because everybody gets their wedding rings like at their skinniest like when you're at except for me when you're starving for your wedding I got my wedding, all my rings resized when I was like on Ozempic, which was a huge mistake. I just got so excited, like, about the potential of the future. None of my jewelry fits me. And I'm not getting it resized again. I'm just not.

And the thing is, like, you can't wear the wedding ring on a different finger. Like other jewelry I can mix. It's something I used to wear on my middle. I can wear on my ring or whatever. But this one evades me. You got one finger. And my ring was timed. before like yeah it was a three and a quarter that's insane because like even at my skinniest

i was a five and a half i just have small like hands i guess and where are they they're just hands and i just want to say now it's at four and a quarter okay biggie no i'm kidding and i still take pride in that number of course having little dainty hands a little loose like they say god doesn't pick favorites, but like people with skinny hands and people with fat hands, no matter what your physical size is, like, you just, there are some skinny people who have huge sausage fingers. And then like little, you know, people who have like little dainty, skinny long nails. That is a chosen person. Like, I have little wrists, I just want to say.

Like, no matter how big I've gotten, I've always had like the tiniest little wrist. Yeah, because you are a small person. And like that doesn't help me in any life, but like. It feels good. Yeah, it feels good to say I have small something. It's a small win for turt kind. A thousand percent. I'm happy for you.

Anyways, our first story, Taylor Swift announces new music. So I kind of want to go in the order that we experienced it. Is that okay? I would love that because I think the order speaks to some of my confusion. So yesterday, Taylor Swift, and we had been saying things were percolating over at Swift Nation. And yesterday she posted the cover photo for her new single and announced Patient Zero, a new song that she has been, quote, impatiently waiting to tell us

that her brand new single, Patient Zero will be out of it. on September 25th, exclamation points. It's available to pre-order now for 24 hours, she said. And the photo was strange. Yes, so let's talk about this in a vacuum outside of what we now know as of this morning. Yes, yes, that's what I'm saying. I was so confused. Like, obviously, I'm never going to be mad at Taylor Swift new music.

And the thing is, while a lot of times I disagree with some of her style choices or her photo, she was releases good music. So, like, I'm taking care of as a fan, fed, as the kids say. but I can't lie, I was extremely shocked to see this, what I consider to be, like, extremely low budget, giving headshot for, like, new actress in town, photo for, like, the biggest superstar in the world. Like, not only is it a hack job on the Photoshop,

like, I don't know what's going on on her armpit side boob area, the mausoleum behind her, I'm just, I'm really not understanding the direction here. Yes, but I also thought, like, this is a, direction. Yes, of course. Mr. Schuster. So we're entering a new era and maybe it's like this like stripped down artist.

Sad gray era. Just like something new because it's like T Lois was so big and bright and bold. And now we just get like stripped back glared, patient zero. So I'm like, okay, this is the lead up to the next album. And I was comfortable. I was also under the impression that this was divine. I was comfortable with that. I was excited for that.

Some of the other imagery that came out with like the record and and this photo of her that looks to be like candid and she's in a black tank top like it's all giving like this new somber era right so we did get a bunch of other imagery from this single um different photos of her but the same general vibe LinkedIn gray corporate and like a almost like a little AI like the one of her like looking straight with the lace tank top looking to the side sorry with like the little lace detail on her tank top and the low bun Like is giving AI generated? It was just like, it was shockingly low budget for someone who we know has unlimited budget.

So I want to say in hindsight now knowing what we know, I feel like these are like clips from a music video. So it's like it is one vibe and one aesthetic from that music video. Yeah, I think it was just like a weird way to announce and lead with it. Given that today. We found out. Says actually she has the new album called The Life of a Showgirl, the Encore. I don't even know if it's an album. Yes, she's putting out the album again with four new songs.

Oh, she's re-releasing the originals too. I thought it was like a separate album like part two. No, it's like a deluxe album. And when you have a deluxe album, you still have regular on. And then the deluxe has just all the songs plus more. So this is her words. And tell me if I misunderstood. About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing.

Something that completely blew my mind. You gave the life of a showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history. I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Max Martin can come on namesake. A thousand percent. Yeah. Unfortunately, Shellback cannot. Really, we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in. By the way, I don't buy that. They just took a trip to Sweden to celebrate something that happened a year ago. There was no trip. Okay. No fucking way. Okay, let me finish. So really, we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in.

But there was a studio there. And we did what we do when we feel anything at all. We wrote more songs. As Travis says, ah. I hope you love them because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance, for and celebration of the album we made. The Life of a Showgirl, The Encore, including four new songs. So that means album plus four new songs, is out on Friday and available to pre-order and save now. With a photo from that era, like that was taken, you know.

It's like a new album cover, but it looks just like. a sequel to the... Is, you know, a different still from that cover shoot day. How the original great LinkedIn photos factor in? Not sure yet. Now, before I give my unfiltered thoughts, I do want to give like a bit of a... Wait, hold on. And then the four songs for the album, the new encore songs, are called Patient Zero.

Okay. Now, before I give my true unfiltered thoughts, the lady Gaga already has a song called Babylon. I need to give just like a precursor like, I love Taylor Swift. I'm her number one fan. I'm actually her number one fan. And I feel that I actually don't really criticize her ever.

I'm like blindly loyal. But I have a couple of critiques here that I think need to be said. Because she gets a lot of criticism for being like, Money hungry, billionaire, corporate greed. And it's like, I really can't defend this, you know, against those allegations. Because this is giving so much countdown, like hoopla for four songs, like not really an album. And, well, I love her enthusiasm for her body of work.

The caption is just like not accurate. Like, well, yes, it might have been the biggest album. First week ever. Because everyone was excited for the Taylor Swift new album. That is not a reflection on the. contents of the album. That's a reflection on where Taylor was at in her life with Travis, with the New Heights podcast, with her being just the biggest artist coming off the Erestore, the first.

Like, it was a big deal. So it was the first album we were ever getting about Travis. So the album succeeding in that way is wonderful, but it's really not an implication to what's inside the album. And I feel that as somebody who has listened to every single album, the day they came out, like, since she started, this was definitely like one of her lesser performing one. ones melodically and sonically. And culturally.

And culturally, I think we need to like let it be. Like if that's me, I'm moving on to the next thing. Well, I'm not doing my deluxe schmulux-pulux because I don't really want to open this back up. It wasn't reflective of what I think her best work can be. Yeah. I agree. And I don't understand the motivation here. Like maybe it is to get more streams for T-Law.

You know, she always is working some like backdoor angle to be the most celebrated something. Stream, ball, this or that. But like, she has so much like more to say now. And like the showgirl era was now almost two years ago. So why are we still living there? Was it? Yeah, because she ended her tour when? I thought it was like in a December.

And it wasn't this past December. Oh no. She said about a year ago you guys did something unfathom. So it hasn't even been a year. not the album. When did she end the eras tour? The showgirl era of her life. A while ago. Right. The showgirl era of her life is almost two years ago. So she's lived so much since then.

You know, she's obviously married and this romance. And like we want to be caught up with that. And so I guess these songs, though they were written more recently there about how excited we feel about the success of T Loas. No. And like if you want to release four deluxe songs off of Tloas, just like sort of to bridge you to your next album, I don't know when her next album's coming out. so like, you know, you don't want to not release music for XPR. I feel like that's totally fun.

Like, yeah, give us music. But under the guise of it being like a whole new album with the drops of the countdowns and she's going to the MTV Music Awards, it's giving the same type of formula of things that she does when she does actually release an album. It's like if you make everything a big deal, then nothing's a big deal. The same way she did the countdown for releasing a song for Toy Story. Like, you know, it's hard to get excited about every countdown. Who knows if it's going to be a whole new album or one song.

Or a deluxe cover with a new vinyl or whatever. It's always a new vinyl. It's always a new. That's my limit was the shiny bug vinyl. Actually, do you want to know what my limit was? What? Was all too well, which version? All too well, sad girl version.

Like the remixes, like I think she did four or five remixes of the all too well. That is genuinely where she like, where I stopped tuning in for every countdown because I was like, oh, the countenads are just not serious. Yeah. Yeah. So had that being said, like I pre-ordered already. I'm sat for the four new songs. And what does pre-ordering get you? Just like for me, I think it gets me like the ability

to be a number one fan who can provide critiques. It's like, yeah, I'm still supporting, but I'm criticizing as well. But like what does the experience of pre-ordering different than like me waking up on Friday and streaming the song? Oh, I own it. I'm an owner.

Like on an airplane, I can listen to it. But you could also buy it on Friday. Oh, I could buy it on Friday. Yeah. But like, you know, good fans like to pre-order because it creates lots of hype. I mean, for Taylor, like. like her songs are going to get played on the radio,

but for like a new artist, if they have a lot of like pre-saves and pre-orders, it builds hype, it gets them on radio. No, no, but like I understand like pre-ordering a book because it will be there the day that you, that it comes out instead of ordering it on that day. You don't get special access. And it's like, I don't order books every day.

So like, let me pre-order it when I see the book I want to read. And then it'll show up one day. I listen to music every day. I'm not going to miss it. Do you have currently have any book pre-orders like in the ether that you're just? Sophia Franklin. I have. Jaylen Brunson's children's book.

So I would have preferred this. Also, the photo and the photo. the bathtub has grown on me to the point that I prefer that over this. This is just like dark. No, I really don't like the bathtub.

Her face is shadowed. They're also seeing all the other showgirl imagery, you know, her and the get up and the feathers and everything. There were so many better pictures. Yeah, if you scroll through her Instagram, there were so many good ones. And so many better pictures than this encore picture. Yes, look, I'm sending you. That's like always Taylor.

She releases so much good stuff and never chooses like her singles. Her singles are never the best songs from the album, right? She doesn't like put forth the best. I'm sending you two that would have been so cute for... Yeah, I saw the first one. Oh, the second one.

Sick. Like, she did so many elaborate, Vegas sort of... And look, swipe, because then she puts... Dita Vantis. Swipe, she made them into a cover. So much better.

So much better. The good news is that, like, the music will be good. Like, we literally can and do criticize like all elements of Taylor. Like, her style needs work. But her music is always good.

Even the life of a showgirl, which is to me, one of her, not worse, because it's not bad, but at least good albums. The music that came out last year, but when you compare it to Taylor. That song would is so good. Like, yeah, like even her, what I consider to be like lesser good music is better than the garbage slop that's on the radio. Yeah.

So we're still getting four new songs. Yeah. Fun. Yeah. I just like didn't love the rollout. I was confused. I thought we were going to get something, but I thought we were moving forward instead we're moving back.

wear. Yeah, she invented so many trends. Like she really did, whether you want to say that was Kanye or her, whatever. She has not had a good look or an impact on fashion in almost a decade. Like she does not serve looks anymore. The last time she like made me feel something was

probably like her mechella looks stink. The last good one was heavenly bodies and I think that was Kanye. I'm so over. like her sort of like performance art fashion. It's not influential. She doesn't really make an impact. And it's crazy because she's like this fashion girl, fashion girl, fashion girl, fashion girl.

Like mechella is her sweet 16 and it's like, what have you done recently? And I agree with what you're saying in the timeline. So it really does point to the fact that it was Kanye. I know. Because we're saying she hasn't had those moments like since. And by the that's fine. Like not like you don't need to like you still did it. Like you were the influence.

But I will also say before Conchon. I feel like she was influencing what people wore and how people style themselves like when they had the beechy waves and like the skinny jeans and blazers and the big pumps yeah yeah and like people wanted to dress like them

But you show me no struggle. Jenna Dwan could not be opening up less in her packaging. At least Amber Glenn was opening up about stuff. Like Jenna is just like riding on the fact that she's a decent dancer. Like she's giving us nothing. Yeah, she kind of was feeling like the hilaria of the season, which is such an insult. someone who's going to get by on her scores until she has a bad week because I don't know why

she's just not coming off likable. And I actually think up until dancing with the stars, like nobody has a problem with Jen and Dewan. She's like totally inoffensive. Yep. Actress. Neutral. Working actress. It's also crazy that she was like Mrs. Channing Tatum for so long. She's a mama and it's just not coming through. There's nothing that I can connect to in her packages and her dancing. And I'm watching it's a good dance. Like they did really good. They did the best. Yeah. But I agree. I felt nothing.

I'm searching desperately for like a fuck to give. Yeah. So they got 21 out of 30. Then Sierra Miller with Brandon Armstrong. They danced to no broke boys. Loved. This is exactly what I'm looking for for my dancing with the stars contestants. Best improvement every week.

And like yeah, her explaining like I was so fucking nervous. Like thank you. That's such a human element. Like I said, I'm always looking for things to connect with people. And I'm low key watching the packages like with a very, you know, sort of because you dance could be whatever. But like, do I like you?

For me, it's package with the stars. Like I am voting for you and judging you. Title. Based on your package. Yes. And so I felt like Sierra like really opened up and she got a lot of shit. Everyone was like, you know, she has sort of, she was trying not to cry. If you watch Summer House, you know how her face is.

But like I guess what last week when Carrie Ann was like giving her like a beautiful moment being like, I see your pain. She had this sort of like stank face on. But it was her like way of not crying. I didn't think anything of it. But people who are new to her were like, oh, she has a stank face. so this week she was like really putting it on with the smiles and stuff. I was like, all right, Sarah, you don't need to do that much. Yeah.

But her dance was so much better. Like, she's just a regular person learning how to dance. Like, I felt that like if someone I know went on the show, they would have this similar arc to her so far. And it was refreshing to see like, yeah, good job. You got better. No, and like last week was like a serious dance in the gown. It was all like sort of somber.

And like this week, it was fun and playful. And I felt like she could come out of her shell a little bit. I do feel like the personality did a 180 from last week. And she was like in her interview. People were too hard on her. So she was definitely like self-conscious being like, I don't want people to think I'm like, staying face, resting bitch face. But she was like kind of like on crack.

To the point that I didn't recognize her. And we've been watching her on TV for like six years. And I didn't know who that person was. But yeah, she's obviously taking the criticism and like really, really trying. And you know what? I like when people take this seriously. And like I feel that her dance last night reflected vast improvement, which is exactly what I'm looking for.

And you really are being so vulnerable going on this show. like, opening yourself up. Oh my God, every part of it. Look, we're talking shit about everyone. And their dances and their packages and you're not like. It's true. And she said like being vulnerable is so hard for her and so like. And we know that from Summerhouse.

Like she does have a wall up. Even if you don't share anything in your package. Like just going out onto that stage and doing something that you are not an expert at. So brave. And asking people to judge you is very hard. Yeah, 100%. So it was a good week for them. Then Tyler Cameron and Sharneburne Burr's.

For like him to lean into the Garrett Graham, because yeah, for people, a younger generation who may not know Tyler, that's what he is.

Like he is Garrett Graham to millennials. And so I just about died. I normally don't love like the shameless sort of like. taking your shirt off, but I'm sorry. Tyler needed to let these bitches know. I actually was glad Ben wasn't there because I was like, my jaw hit the floor.

I loved every second of it. The judges, they're just so fucking jealous. Like, they were just like, his scores were low. I don't care. I fucking loved it. Also, like, in addition to the cultural moment, I thought he danced really well. And as far as taking his shirt off,

like, he is objectively and like clinically in insane shit. shape. I don't give a fuck. Derek does it when he dances. All the time. You want to see those muscles like move. No, and it's important that like people know what Tyler is working with.

Like his body, his looks, like it's a part of who he is and like why America really fell in love with him. And then the best part is that like you get to know him as a person and he's genuinely so funny. Someone who knows me. Someone texted me was like, is Tyler actually like nice like that? I'm like, he is a mensch. He is the nicest guy ever in the whole world, like so generous. And he uses his looks to let people in and then like they see his heart of gold. He had to do what he had to do because if you're not familiar with Tyler, they might have let him go home.

Now they know. And now we're going to start to get to know Tyler. Yeah. I voted for him 10 times. Oh yeah. I had to pull up my votes. Also the way that you feel about like a voting whore. I voted for everyone.

The way you feel about Taylor Swift like abusing the capitalist system with all of her like different vinyl editions is the way I feel. about dancing with their stars and their voting methods because what every time I send in text they're collecting like 99 cents so like they're making you text so many times why don't you download why don't you join on your computer then oh I guess I could do it on my computer I think computers I like being on my computer I voted for Tyler 10 times yeah he blew me away and like he knew like I'm I was a target audience for that dance you know yes you were and hot take I liked it better when Tyler did it than when Belmont Camelli did it at the concert I hot take You guys know I thought that was weird.

Hot take, the moment in the show was insignificant. Jack, I didn't even remember it. But then I watched the show a second time and I was like, oh, that's the dance. But I didn't even know what the reference was. He didn't even do anything. Next. I loved it. Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa, they danced the door by 20 swim.

So automatic points for me. She had an off week, I would say. I would agree. I think she was so relieved to not go home because like she got a 16 and the package wasn't packaging and she could have gone home. The package wasn't packaging. Like I feel like last week her package like made me laugh, the Andy Cohen thing. Like and then the dance was so stellar.

To me, yeah, I didn't really get anything from either, whether it was the package or the dance. But it's, I think it's good when people have really strong first weeks and then they like fuck up because it's easy to get cozy and comfortable being like, yeah, I'm number one. Everybody loves me. I'm so good. You know, you need to sort of become hardened. Yeah, but also we want to see room for improvement. Yeah. So it's good to drop down as long as you don't get eliminated.

And now I happen to like that they're grading everyone, like based on a different, based on the person's individual needs. The only time it's like kind of silly is when you see the chart, you're like, well, that person wasn't better than that person. So it's like the overall chart, like I kind of need them to stop showing it because it's not accurate. I mean, it's not a perfect system. No, it's not.

But I think it's better than judging because Guillermo, what, should have gotten a three total, you know? But no, based on his unique set of abilities. Yeah. next Jackson Olson and Emma Slater a fun couple What did they dance to? They dance to That's So True by Gacy Abams Oh, that's a really good song

And he's so TikTok like they knew what they were doing with that It was good I'm trying to remember like his package was what Not deep or anything It was fine The dance was fine, it was all very mid Yeah very mid but I'm rooting for him But not voting for him

Correct Then we have Giata Dilaran and Alan Burristen, they danced to Bella Chow by Becky G. Which I didn't know that was happening as a song that, like, she remixed Bella Chow. I had no clue. Perfect song choice for them. The dance fell flat and they were sent home. Yeah, because it was going to be Giato last week, but her package saved her.

And this week, not only was her dance worse, her package also, like, left little to be desired. And I felt like also, like, I could sense that she was over this. Like, we've had our fun. Oh, I don't think so. See, like her and Alan were, like, fighting in the back a lot. Oh, that was weird, but I actually feel like she was very sad to go home last night. Like, she made a whole big deal about doing it and wound up being. I think it's more so about, like, not wanting to be, like, going home so early.

But I got the sense that she was, like, relieved to not have to show up to rehearsal tomorrow. Well, of course. Which I would be, too. Yeah. Then it was clearly her time. I was afraid that it might have been fibula because just performance-wise, he, I would say, like, flubbed the most. But he has a lot of fans. Like, people don't really care.

And it's funny. Sorry, I'm jumping ahead to Fabula if I can. He's next anyway, so Connor Wood and Riley Arnold. Like, my heart broke watching him fumble across that dance for. Like, he just missed his step and couldn't catch his feet for like 10 minutes. But I think he really, like, won people over when he got up. The judges were so sad. And then Julian was like, how do you feel?

And he was like, I feel good. Like, he really had such a positive attitude. He's like, okay, well, we'll get better next week. It's like, oh, yeah. Like, this is just a show. Like, we're going to be okay. And you know what? I felt like he really saved his spot because I was like,

you know what, that's an attitude. And of course I voted for him because like, honestly, I felt so bad. Like, that's something that could happen to anyone. You know, you trip up a little bit and messes the whole thing up. He got it back together at the end. Yeah. Yeah.

But he needs to improve. Like next week, I think that it was either him or Giata. And to get him out of that like sort of danger zone, he needs to really like kill it next week. Yeah. Agreed. Then we have Ezra Fretch and Diggas. Yenella Carragash.

They dance. Yeah. They dance to go low. Shorty get low by Flo Rida. It was incredible. It was incredible. Every part of it. Like obviously I watched him through the lens of like how amazing it is that he's

able to do this with his disability. But like forgetting all that, it was the best dance, period. Yeah. No ability or not. Limbs, no matter how many you have, you have extras or you have none. it was the best dance of the night. It was the best dance of the night. It was so well choreographed.

It was fun. It was fresh. He really, his hips can really move. And it's so. Actually, you know what? I appreciated Derek Huff. Making it about himself. When he started to make it about himself,

I'm like, is this guy fucking for real? But you know what? He provided interesting context. It's relevant. And it was very interesting because he was like when I danced, I forgot the name of the person he danced with who also had a prosthetic leg. He was like, people who have prosthetics

are so comfortable shifting their weight they're so aware of it more so than people who don't wear and it makes them like so intentional about the way they move and I could see it when he was doing that so I actually appreciated Derek sharing that fun fact yeah no he's like a great dancer he's got rhythm and it's been package wise it's been so interesting to see how learn about him how to see how they tweak the moves to accommodate his needs and it's actually like even more fun and fresh it's like better that's why first of all She's an amazing pro. She's insane.

He would do well regardless. She's insane. She's insane. Yeah. They're going to win 100% like it's over. And also, I don't know if you know, Ezra, French, a Jew. I didn't know. A Persian Jew.

And I feel that she really represents like a demographic that watches this show. I think a lot of people see themselves in her. And a lot of people watch her growing up so they feel connected to her. She will go far farther than I thought she would. She's getting a lot better. Yeah. But what's interesting actually is I would say she's pretty comparable. to Julia Stiles in terms of like age and legacy too and the way like you know oh nostalgic favorite actress but I don't feel that tied to Julia Stiles like via package yeah yeah did say that she's like a very complicated relationship with fame and she's always run from it and this show was like so opposite of that you have to make a thousand TikToks a day and share every part of yourself do so many interviews before during after and so I feel that she does need to open up a little bit more to let people in because she's giving us

kind of the bare minimum. I don't know her. Yeah, right. Whereas like Tatiana, I didn't really know her before and I know her better than I know Julia Stales. That's a good comparison.

Yeah. Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov dancing to all the things she said, um, it was really good. I felt the same way about Jenna Dewan. It was so good. And I don't know.

I just like, I wasn't moved to pick up my phone or vote. Like, it's just, it's like these people who are good dancers, they come in with an advantage. And for me, they come in with a disadvantage

because I just like, I'm not impressed. But then there are people who are good dancers who come in with that advantage. And I love it. Like Whitney and even like Mora. Morris actually happens to be a great dancer. Okay, but Whitney and Mora are not by trade dancers or dancing adjacent. Jenna Duan is.

Harry Shum is. Amber Glet is a figure skater. It's the same thing. So it's like it's impressive because Whitney is still a regular person. Those three are not regular people. Okay. But I just want to say like, and there's a lot of bad dance that we're watching. So like I'm here.

I would love to watch some good dance, but I'm also me to like feel something. And that's why not to jump ahead, but Mora and Mark are amazing. Yeah, she was really good. Not as good as the first week, but the thing is like she, okay, so I heard like a rumor about Mora.

Have you guys heard this? No. It's totally unfounded from like TikTok comment section, but I've seen it a couple of times that Mora, because she was cast really early, and I think she knew even before they announced that she was going to be cast, that she was like in classes,

like getting like trained. even though like a couple of weeks extra is not. Oh, that's interesting. That doesn't make a huge deal. But so was Sierra. She was cast really early. Yeah. So was Jackson Olson.

True. We were doing casts even before we went to the Hamptons. We were talking about who was going to be on the show. So I actually don't think that that's like a huge leg up. Morr just happens to be like a really elegant dancer. And I feel like she like has this unique. She reminds me like Audrey Hepburn. She's just so like a fairy.

Like, and she has her own way of moving that I really enjoy. I thought last night was a delight. I felt like I was watching. Yeah, once again. Holly go lightly. She did like have a little bit of a stumble, but who cares? Like she, she will go very far. And I think it's really hard to go last because if you get bad scores, you're probably

going home because there's no time. And by she went last, last week too. No, she didn't. But it was also. She went at the very end. But it was broken up based on. So last week when they broke it up, was like, oh my God, so much content between dances, commercials and interviews and the troop.

And then this week, it was like, the dances were so short. The packages were so short. You could only say one word for the judges and now we're going a commercial break. It's like, well, they'll have to eliminate some people and then we can sort of slow it down. We kind of need like a double elimination. I agree. There's too many people. It's too many. But it really sucks when you go last because there's one minute for people to vote for you. Yeah, and that's why if you are on your phone at all during the show, like people who have in dance and people who have, they are posting. like stories, TikToks, reels, text to it. Even if you haven't danced yet, I'm like,

why would I vote for you yet? You haven't danced. Yeah, I haven't seen the package. Then going back to where we are, Yeramo and Whitney Carson. I know she's so tired, and she didn't know she was going to make it this far. And don't worry, I do think, like, probably in three more weeks,

you will be home with your family. I'm sorry, we're not ready to say goodbye. He's such a delight. I think the cast just loves having him around. His package, he, what he brings to the package is humor. he cracks me up in those packages. But he's also like, you know, opens up about his wife. He really wants it.
