That feels like a Monday because today's set is giving rebirth, re-energy. We are vlogging the whole experience, but we've done a little bit of a studio makeover. Yes, new chairs, new rug, new table. Hey, Jax, how you, Dern? I'm Dern good. I'm so excited to be in this new environment, and I actually feel like even though you said yesterday that your vibe less, I do feel like this is your vibe. Really? Yeah, like that table feels like your vibe.

That table is my vibe. I love Rattan. You do love Rattan. Add it to the vibe. Yeah, I have a couple of Rattan pieces of furniture. Yeah, add it to my mood board. I'll tell chat. But we have just placed a couple of orders from Wayfair.

Yes. Everything came on assembled. So the journey was a little, but we're in chairs like I just one thing might be I need a wide chair. If the chair doesn't allow me to sit cross-legged or sometimes I like to put my feet like up on my tushy, I just need options. And the chairs before, while you know, I appreciate the work that they did, like not giving a lot of options. Right. No, we're definitely feeling like myself again.

1,000 percent. Yeah. Today's episode's just going to be, and this chair's a little bit more coxidonia friendly, not to accuse this establishment of ableism, but wasn't very coxedinia friendly. So I think it looks super cute. I'm excited to hear what everyone thinks. I feel like now Swarly Summer can begin. Like this is a Swarly Island is over.

It's like a super Hampton's look. And it's so cute. We've got our green. We've got our retam. We've got our woodedness. Thank God because. Because. Thank God for what?

We got these chairs. And honestly, shout out to Jax. Took the initiative. Place the orders. She obviously spent a little bit more than I had budgeted for the project. But that's on compromise. You get what you pay for. Yes.

And so far, I'm extremely pleased. Like this rug, literally would have skulls right past it. It's perfect. And that's on vibes. Yeah, that's on vibes. So, yeah, it's definitely a new fresh energy here at the turst. And it's perfect energy we're bringing to today's show because it's

Wednesday. I'm having a hard time keeping traffic of the days. Yeah. It's Wednesday. Because the days start coming and they don't stop coming. Oh, but so fun and you hit the ground running. Didn't make sense just a little fun. You bring gets smart, but your head gets dumb. So much to do, so much to see. So, yeah, I'm excited for the fresh energy.

What are the stories like today? We have no segments, no TV recaps, like nothing holding us back. Like, we can just be. We can just be. I actually have a little bit of a TV recap because I have an announcement to make. You finished Elle or you're done watching out? I'm halfway through. I don't know how long this season is, but I probably am on like episode five or six.

It's the most amazing show. You're kidding. In such a long time, I love it. Why did the capitalists rebel? No, so you know what? Let me tell you, I love those commies. Oh. Like they're so, it's so sweet.

And the first episode is definitely like a little cringy because they're like proving the point and she's coming from Bel Air and she's like so Bel Air. And now she's like settling into Seattle. And there's just so much heart in the show like, wow. Elle always has so much heart. Yes, she leads with her heart. She does. And she's so earnest. It's an earnest play.

And like her mother is so wonderful as well. And it's like just the family is so great. The mother like redecorated their house in Seattle like in the span of more Seattle. In the span of like four minutes in the episode. Like one day she did a chair and like the next day the house is done. And it's so. Pargy vibe. Like that's the vibe.

So it's just like beautiful to watch. And so the family unit is so great. And of course like Elle's making friends and putting herself out there. Is Ellen siblings? No. No, she's such an only child. Totally. And those Seattle kids like they're really starting to grow on me.

Stop. There's like two love interests. And she's like twying between them. Yeah, sort of. Like she doesn't know that she is yet. But you can see that's how it's going. And like I just like love Ellen Miles. Like I really do.

And I. Which one's Miles? A skater boy? I feel like he's the one that you saw. Like he's not. he's kind of ugly, I guess. Oh my God, okay. Like, way to be mean.

But, like, I love them. Like, I seriously love them. And I know, like, Dustin, you know, he's the enemies to lovers. No, no, no. He's becoming, like, an enemies to lovers trajectory. But, like, from the minute Miles saw Elle, like, he knew that she sparkled.

And, like, Dustin was fucking mean to her. So, like, I, like, Dustin as a friend for Elle. And I, I... Right. He doesn't, like, need to learn to appreciate Elle. Like, like, the other one just did. No, just, like, the way that Miles has looked at her since the,

minute she arrived in Seattle. Like, I just love them so much. And I like Dustin as a friend for else. She's making, like, a nice little group of friends. And it just has so much heart. It's so cute. It's making me so happy. Like, I can't wait to go and watch.

I haven't felt this way about a show in so long. I'm shocked. It's amazing. Like, when I finish it, like, I might watch it again. Like, it's so amazing. And, like, I know that if you watch it, I can't tell if you'll, like, if the good will, if the good will outweigh the bad for you. Because there are things to make fun of it.

And I know you're going to hate Miles. Like, I just know you're going to, like, think he's. Yeah, you're yum. Like, I just know. I just know. What am I thinking? He's like smelly? No, no, no.

He's not smelly. He runs track. Smelly? No, but like he's a star athlete as far as like, as much as Seattle can have those. Correct. Also, I guess like the whole like grungy thing is more of a testament to the 90s than it is like Seattle. Oh, that's right. It's a period piece.

Yes. And I do feel like that's been a little bit of a miss because it is a period piece. I feel like it really could have ushered in this like 90s fashion. Yeah, of course. And instead it's just like, like, Elwood. woods and then like a bunch of flannel plaid. And they're making like the grunginess more of a Seattle thing when it really was a 90s thing. People were saying in the comments.

So like that's a little bit of like a miss on the vibes for me. But the show just has so much heart. It's so amazing. Everybody should watch it and like she is so Elle. Like there are moments where I don't know if she's like doing it intentionally, but she'll like walk a certain way or she'll like give a smile or something. I'm like, that's from the movie. Like that's Elle.

That's nice to hear. This actress has nailed Reese Witherspoon's mannerisms. And I also think the mom reminds me so much of like a grown-up Alexis Rose from Schitts Creek. Oh. The way she like talks and everything. And also James Vanderbeek is in the show. What? Yeah.

Posthumously? Well, yeah. So I wonder like, who does he play? He plays a mayoral candidate. Okay. Nothing getting political. Yeah. No, they do like get a little political, you know, but like not really in a way where it's just like.

Bipartisan. You know, down with the elites. Totally down. So Seattle. And it's not that there are a bunch of commies. Like it's more so like conformity versus nonconformity. Right. But what they're missing is that L is such a nonconformist.

Look, she's ghost at school. She's the only one in the other color. Y'all are conformists. It's true. By trying so hard to be nonconformists, you have conformed to being nonconformists. Well, you're definitely making me want to watch it. I think everyone should watch it, especially, like, they really, they took care of our girl. Well, I watched a movie, and like, I watched there's something about Mary.

And I realized. halfway through that I thought I was watching sweeter than, no, what's that, um, yeah, we love that movie. What's that Cameron Diaz movie that takes place in San Francisco? The sweetest thing. The sweetest thing. I got confused. And I realized like, and I know something, there's something about my that movie sucks. Like I was watching this. I'm like, why did I choose this? And then I realized I didn't, but it did make me think like, whatever happened to Matt

Dylan. Do you remember him? No. The actor? He was like in everything. That just happens. I know. But I feel like he got old. I feel like he purposely like took a step back. Maybe he got. This guy. He's around. I don't really think that he is. He was like one of those 90s heart throbs. And now I guess, yeah, he's just like an old guy.

But he was in everything until he wasn't. Yeah. So I wouldn't recommend something about Mary. I think everyone's like either seen it or like it's, you know, it's over. Yeah. Something about Mary is over party. I really wanted to watch the other movie, the sweetest thing. Love that movie.

Love that movie. No, you have to watch Elle. Like you have to. Mandatory viewing. Oh, wow. Okay. It's so swirly. And like camp, you know.

Yeah. I feel like I haven't had that feeling since, like, watching Riverdale. Wow. That's kind of a huge comparison. So, like, I think we need a show called After Elle. Ldale. I'm obsessed. Should we start the official Elle after show?

Are they dropping episode by episode or? I think it's all out. And they were renewed for season two. So, like, I'm safe. I've been marked safe. Yeah, from the curse. But never you love it so much. I know, but I think it's bigger than me, you know?

Like, hello sunshine is there. It feels like she was, but it's Reese. Right. But didn't they say that? Mindy Kaling was writing the script for Legally Blonde 3. They said that like five years ago, the movie. Which is still happening. It is.

Apparently, allegedly. And I guess if this does really well, it'll like create demand for more L. Well, kids these days, I just want to say are definitely, you know, have a lack of positive role models, especially for women. And I think that L, obviously, like you look at her, she like looks shallow, pink, but she's so much more than that. Like the OGL, and now I guess L, the documentary, the prequel, she really is an excellent role model for women. So I do think that the youth could learn.

They don't know El Woods. They maybe have heard of it, but they don't know the lore. And I think that the prequel, hopefully being popular amongst youth, will help today's generation. I think it is popular. So if you've been on the fence, a 1,000 person, this is like two thumbs up. I can't remember the last time, like, you so emphatically

liked something. I know. It's so much fun to like something. It is. It's also fun to be a hater, I just want to say. I feel like people think, like, I approach something and I, like, want to like hate or dislike it that's like so not me like I seriously give it everything like a wide birth and I'm very disappointed when everything is shite and everything is shite speaking of things that are not shite page Paul page Paul she was going to be a story oh well there's not really a story like we just know that she changed her instagram handle she's page paul now she's lucy wyman now well she got

married yesterday she changed her instagram handle the only way people knew was because she changed her Instagram handle yeah people of influencers were at the wedding so like if yeah and people aren't being shy but like there's definitely like an embargo until she posts. I'm so excited to see. Me too. Like what do you think? Strapless, silk, long sleeve. I think maybe long sleeve and like lace. I feel like the bridal industry.

Like if I'm Haley Page, like I design wedding dresses, I'm looking at what Paige Lorenz, Paul, is wearing and like that's my next collection because everyone is, she's very influential. Yeah. I'm so sad. And they got married on Nantucket? Did they?

JV team. Thousand percent of minors. Okay, so it's either going to be France versus Britain or France versus Argentina. Yeah. No, no, no. Start again. Spain versus England or Spain. Oh, we're not calling it Britain.

Not in the World Cup for some reason. Spain versus England. Yes, it's like, or Spain versus Argentina, which is what was my prediction. I feel like Spain versus Argentina would be like more of a big deal just because like, I don't know. Argentina is a huge deal. You know, and like it's all the Latin countries. It's like huge for Latin America. England like feels kind of rants in Europe.

But yeah. Oh, Spain's Latin America. But they speak Spanish. Yeah. You know what I meant. Like the Latin community. Yeah. And for Spanish speaking.

Yeah, I wasn't more so. I was talking more linguistically than regional. I understand. But you did like, I was going to let it slide. I don't like talking about the World Cup because I feel like it shows how little I know about geography and flags. I feel like people don't talk enough about how it's a part of this country in only a physical sense.

So she did a wide-ranging sort of sit-down interview with Time magazine, but of course everyone's obsessed with the bit and Bob about Alex Cooper. Yeah, and I thought it was interesting more so because I was reading the comment section.

It was the first time I ever saw people talking about this, not just blindly team Alex Earle. And that's why I brought it up before because you were talking about sometimes you wait so long that people really start to lose interest or they turn on you. And I felt like that was really happening because you can tell everyone what the question was

and what she said, and then I'll tell you what the comments were. Yes, so she was asked if she will speak on the drama with Alex Cooper on her new show. And she said yes, and this is what she had to say exactly. She said, that was one of the things in the beginning they wanted me to talk about. And I really wasn't comfortable sharing. Then everything unfolded the way it did while we were filming. There was a serious struggle behind the scenes of emotions and my family showed up for me.

Those moments that sometimes seem so fun for people online but are hard behind the scenes. I'm happy that we were able to capture that. So kind of a word salad, all's to say, like it will be on the show. I'm not saying anything right now, but I'm not going to act like I'm not speaking about it right this minute. And she has two shows going to Netflix and Mary Harry. And it's like, really it didn't affect her that much. But at the time, like, the wind was not behind her. Like, people were really with Alex Earl. So the comments were just like, girl, we don't care anymore. Like, girl, you eat it too long.

And it's like, yeah. Unless you have, like, the bombshell of all bombshells to drop on the TV show, which, based on how Alex Cooper talks about it, like, I have a hard time. Believe it. I think it's a lot of. Unless Alex Earle knows something that Alex Cooper doesn't know. Maybe. Or it's just a lot of, like, you know, innuendo and hurt feelings.

And things. I took this way that weren't, you know, like just things like that. But that's not really going to land. I agree, like, at the time, she had the opportunity to take the kill shot, you know. And Alex Cooper is like wounded, walking around. She's down on the ground. Everyone's talking about Sophia. They're bringing up old things, old clips, baby Alessie.

But she's still breathing. Yeah. And you could have. Alex Earle has the kill shot and she's waited. But now Alex Cooper is healed. She's running. And she's running away. She's pregnant.

He can't get her. It's hard for, at least me. Like, I would never. really like turn on a pregnant woman. Who? As like just a pitchfork carrying internet user? Yeah, I'm not like a big pitchfork person in general, but like, none do I give grace.

Well, maybe by the time the show comes out like she will have given her. I mean, it's taking so long. Yeah. So like I, I don't know, I just, at this point I almost think she'd be better off not talking about it. I don't really think that's an option. No, no. And depending on what, maybe she has like something huge.

Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. She kind of better. Yeah. And maybe like the way that they'll package it for the show, like, we'll make it really like titillating more so than if she had sat down and like set it to camera. Yeah. But if they like go really in depth and, you know, the dad's there and he's like,

then you talked about this on the episode. I need the dad there. And she asked you about anal. I'm excited about the reality show for a bunch of reasons. Alex has also been posting like so much family content recently to get people excited. And she does have like this insanely interesting family dynamic. And I'm most excited. One of the things I'm most excited for, it's like, I need to meet this dad.

Mr. Earl. He obviously has this insane backstory. But he's like a super successful businessman who I think like really, he didn't like leave his company. I think he has a very successful company. But he now full time like manages his daughters. Yeah. And this is somebody who really doesn't know a lot about the industry, but it's like a business savvy person. And I think he's like scary and mean.

So I would just like kind of love to meet him on the show. Like that's what I'm excited for. He's doing a good job because like whoever managed her up until a certain. To the point that took her to Unwell to do a podcast to just like park her there, did a bad job. Agreed. And then left her in a place to be thrown out the door by Unwell. Right. And like that was a rough spot for her.

Yeah. Like I mean, we all know she wasn't canceled by Unwell, but they did make it seem that way. They released that press release. What's next after you have like a podcast that sort of fails? Yeah. You can see like a marked shift in her career when her dad gets involved where she starts acting, I think, a little more mature to like. Less college-aged content of just like messy room, drunk hungover, more business-focused, a little bit more like cohesive and streamlined.

And I think that totally lines up with when her dad got involved. And also dancing with the stars. I think it's huge for her. Totally. Huge. What is she going to do next? I mean, first of all, she looks so sick on the cover of this magazine. Everybody does photo shoots.

Like, I feel like these days doing a photo shoot is like you can do it in your house and it looked professional. This was really a plus. I'm not really moved by magazine covers a lot. They're so inspired these days. Everybody's doing the same thing, like in the rain. Yeah. She looks insane. But also, like, as far as she can do next, like, I feel like she's doing it.

Like, I don't feel like there has to be like a next, next, next thing. No, I mean, is she going to do another show? Like, oh, I guess Earl Meets World. Earl meets World. You know, the story must be like. amazing. And the story is just about like a long journey. An odyssey. But also Greek gods? Greek gods, yeah. I'm not in tell that like magical realism. I know. I just like I really want to care. I want to get excited. Everyone's talking about like Chris Bernal. Yeah. I feel like everyone's not really talking about the movie. Has the movie come out? I'm not sure. Because maybe that's why they're not talking about the movie. They're doing a lot of premieres. Do you also see that like Moana live action is like going to tank? Yeah. Spent $250 million only made $43 on its opening weekend.

It said to lose $100 million. Well, let me just say this. I personally didn't know that was happening. So, like, where was the marketing? So, like the one premiere I got. Disney Content Creator. The one premiere I got invited to, like it stinks. Much like Cynthia Reevo, I had knowing that was happening. Because the girl who voices the original Moana, who was like a darling of Disney was offered the part, but she was like, I do think it's a young girl's role.

She did the original Moana like seven years ago. She said, I think it's a younger role. I would also love to have like another AAPI woman. So like she was and like the people say that like the rock also should have like stepped back. Because like he was like this old man running around without a shirt. But I don't know who else. If not what? Sincere.

I don't think that she is, but I wouldn't be mad at like a twist in this story. Yeah. I do. Like, I do have this sort of craving for them, you know? Yeah. They're so crazy. They're so crazy. Always going out and they're just like, always traveling and they're just like seemingly in love.

But then she's having these conversations where she has these like moments of clarity. Like they're so crazy. I want to know more about them. And they're in a relationship. Like, I find it interesting. I think it's a big miss to not have them on the show. I agree. I know that's not popular.

But, like, it's a show about crazy people. And I think they've sort of, like, met their matches with each other. No, and, like, they, it's a show about crazy people, and they did their job. Correct. In a pre-kickoff ceremony, FIFA celebrated, it says that they will be celebrating 48 teams. The performances will include Nicole Scherzinger, Laura Pawsini, Robbie Williams, as well as streamer, I show speed.

Robbie Williams is Canadian, but again, it's not American, it's like North America or whatever. And Nicole Scherzinger is Canadian. Is she? I think. Well, and Tom Cruise will make him appearance. Oh my God, I was just going to say, it's kind of how like at the Olympics when they chose Tom Cruise to represent America. To us, we're like, wait, we hate him and he's weird. But like, non-Americans know him and love him. So that's how I feel about Nicole Scherzinger. Like, she feels weird and random. But I do think she's quite well known. She might be doing like a cover or of something. She has an amazing voice. Amazing voice. So I think it's, I think it could be good.

But it seems to maybe be a common denominator. They're investigating Taco Bell as a potential source of the outbreak. I first saw a tweet like a couple days ago.

But how can it be the source of the outbreak when it's in other people's lettuce? Because maybe like the lettuce manufacturer, like maybe the place where they're sourcing their lettuce. Oh, so if you didn't eat Taco Bell, you're safe? I don't know. Nobody knows. The thing is people are so upset to Taco Bell that like they'll see this and still go eat it. I saw the funniest tweet a few days ago that was like, there's a lot of it. a national, there's a national like diarrhea outbreak and then it was like Taco Bell is under investigation.

I just thought it was a joke. Like, you know. I thought it was a meme. Like, jokes and text memes. Diarrhea, you must have gotten it from Taco Bell. You know, the story sort of writes itself. So like it took me a lot of times of hearing about Taco Bell. It just feels like they, did they do this? It just feels like they, the world has diarrhea and people are blaming Taco Bell. Well, it's kind of the truth. Is it? Well, I don't know. Did all 2,600 of these people in Michigan have Taco Bell?

I don't know. It kind of feels like the botulism outbreak where we're all just sort of like tracing back to a formula. What's the common denominator? Well, I bought lettuce yesterday and I think I'm going to eat it. What's the worst that can happen? You lose a couple pounds? It's true. With 80 people in the hospital, I cannot go to the hospital.

Ugh, I know. It's such a long drive. No, it's just like, oh, such a time suck. No, no, who's going to do the whole, the toes? Bills. Insane bills. Bills, bills. I'll be getting those bills in my mailbox for years to come.

I hope everyone's okay. There's also like an outbreak in New York City of like legionnaires. Lesionnaires. Lenege. Lenege. Lenege lip mask. Which is like a disease that's in a couple of the cooling towers. My building emailed us to assure us that their cooling tower has been tested and we're fine.

It's not in my zip code. But like you walk to other zip codes. So true. Like I play mahjong in another zip code. Right. Actually, no, I say my own zip code. Yeah. So just stay safe out there.

So many diseases, so little time. Yeah, especially when you don't know the source, like that's a little scary, you know, when they're still trying to figure it out. Yeah. Well, so far, lettuce and Taco Bell, I'm personally in the clear because I don't need other of those. You do put lettuce in a sandwich. So infrequently. And, like, such a small piece.

I'm very particular about, like, what size, what part of the lettuce. And you do eat, like, chicken Caesar wraps. I do. I haven't had one in a while. but I do. You're not totally in you. I'm not exempt. But I think I have a much less chance

in somebody who's like frequently chowing down. And then it's also like what if it's not the lettuce? Right. It seems like they know nothing. They're saying new things every day. First it's the lettuce. Then it's Taco Bell. Like what the fuck are you guys talking about?

Yeah. Yeah. Apparently Taco Bell recently removed several fresh ingredients from some locations. While health officials investigate the search in cyclospora. I guess that's the name of this. Yes. That's it. Cyclospora.

And according to the Washington Post, a person familiar with the national investigation said the decision was certainly appropriate. Oh, there's something they're not talking about us. It also sounds like there's a little bit of a cover up. Like this is shrouded in mystery when perhaps it's not mysterious at all. Can't wait for the documentary. The outbreak has turned Taco Bell Diarrhea jokes into an eruptive reality. It's true.
