Olivia's son had his bris today. Always an emotional day. Yes, it was a beautiful morning. so we're recording a little bit later. But if you've been here since 2018, like it's actually, you know, the normal time. Yeah.

And it's a big day, you know, you find out the baby's name. I love what Olivia did. Tarik is such a beautiful name. And now we can have him on namesake. Yes, thank God. Oh, yeah, we asked Olivia just to name her baby Tarik so that we could have Tarc el-Musa on namesake.

Yes. It was either that or Mindy. The naming of Olivia's child is very exciting because, you know, a new life, And that's so exciting. Of course. But the potential that it opens up for namesake cannot be understated. Every action has an equal reaction.

Yes, you naming your baby, but it's also the future of namesake, is at stake. Yes. So who do we want to interview on the podcast? We'll have to influence all of our siblings to start naming their children after major celebrities, like Tarek. I need someone to name their next son sincere. Okay, Libby's baby's not named Tarek, by the way. She will be doing, we're not going to steal her thunder. She's probably going to post a name today, but we're not going to like.

Share me. That's her name to share. Jackie brilliantly segue. Today's episode is giving TV recap. Last night was part two of the Summer House Reunion, the season premiere of Love Island, USA. We watched it all. We're recapping it all.

You can still listen to our historical recap of it. Because I'm really curious, like, what you're going to say. I watched as much as I humanly could last night. I mean, an hour and 45 minutes after we also had to watch a summer house reunion is insane work.

Yeah. So I was watching TV till like 10, 20, I think. And then I called. at a night. So I think I watched like an hour 15. I saw all the couples couple up. I saw a couple conversations of who I could see having a spark betwixt them. And we'll discuss. Yeah. And this is just a little tip if you're going to be engaging in Love Island that I found out last season that changed my life. The episodes are 9 o'clock on Peacock. They actually put them up at about 836. So I was able to watch the whole episode and go to Ben at about 1020. What about Summerhouse

for the lay people. I didn't bring that up. Yes, I have access to Summer House screeners. I was able to watch the Summer House screen in from 7 to 8 and then 830. Like I slayed. I wasn't going to rub that in people's faces. Yes, yes, I did. Having said that on days that it's not, you still can go to bed earlier because the episodes

actually come out 20 minutes before they say they do. Thank you so much. It's a huge tip. I mean, every minute counts. Like my day is scheduled. To the minute. Within a minute of each other. Like, if I can get back 20 minutes in my day,

I could like seriously take over the world. And I just gave you 20 minutes. And I'm going to take over the world. Sleigh. Taking over the world, yes, my husband did miss my sister's bris because he's in San Antonio. He did get permission. He like asked everyone. I did think it was okay.

Like I stand by that decision. I thought it was okay. Ben got like a once in a lifetime opportunity. Shout out to like a true mensch at Sadek. Tyler Cameron who got the opportunity of a lifetime and included Ben in it. He got asked to go to the next game with like a brand. I think it's Mickelob Ultra. They're taking a private jet from New York with Nick's legends and media and influencers.

And Tyler was invited and he included Ben. They flew to New York this morning. I don't believe they've gotten on the plane yet. Did Tyler and Ben fly to New York together? They're like a couple of best friends. No, and I heard Ben, you're going to love this. I heard Ben talk to texting last night because Tyler's like not a Knicks fan. He's from Florida.

Yeah. I heard Ben like talk to texting last night being like, do you need me to bring you a hat? And then when he was packing, he packed two hats. It was really cute. So I believe they're on the tarmac at the private airport, like loading up and sent me a picture of him in Walt Clyde Fraser, like huge. I'm really happy for Ben. Like this is major.

And what's the size of the plane? I don't know. And like Ben's giving me nothing. I'm sure like he can't really talk because he's like actively in it. So hopefully he can like go to the bathroom later and give me the rundown. Yeah. Like who else is on it? Like is Ben Stiller, Kylie and Timothy?

Like who's there? Yeah. Who's there? Not Kylie and Timothy. They're on Kylie Air. And she's in Turks and Capos. For a brand trip. story for her own, for her friends vacation.

Yeah, one thing I love about that and we'll talk about it is like all these other, even Haley Bieber, Selena Gomez, these huge beauty moguls, even they have to like slum it and do the brand trips and hang out with the influencers and make TikToks. Kylie's like I'm not doing that. Like I'll do my own version of it,

but I am not, she is not making like a McKaylon to get her TikTok. Like she's just not doing it. She used to. Like she used to do the YouTube videos. Yeah, YouTube. James Charles.

And I just feel like that was probably curative of her ever wanting to do it again. Yeah. And I think, you know, it's, you want to try and differentiate yourself. Not everyone's going to be tarting around the world. Not everyone can be tart or should be tart. So like, here, we're going to do like a friends and family trip and people are going to talk about it because it's different. Yeah. So we'll talk about it.

It's one of the stories along with Love Island. Lots to discuss Summer House reunion as well. So anything else we want to PFFB about before we D-I-V-E in about? No, I would say no. It's so weird like doing the toast at a different time. Like usually my day is very routine. Me too. The amount of beverages I consume before the toast is pretty much the same every day.

The amount that I eat before the toast is the same every day. I had a piece of cake already today. That's insane. Like usually I've had like my electrolytes, a couple bites of a macro bar, a coffee, and then I'm working on my water here. This morning I had my electrolytes. I've had three different kinds of coffee. A hundred bagels.

None that I liked. I had a bagel. I had a black and white cookie. Yeah. Omargo got me an iced vanilla latte that wasn't sugar-free vanilla. So I'm like hopped up on sugar. And I'm having a crash a little bit. It's very jarring when the first thing you do of the day is not the toast.

Like that's been my life for 10 years. But to do the toast with like different things inside of me that I'm not usually. Oh, you're speaking it from like the stomach POV. I'm talking about it from like the brain POV. Oh, that too. But I'm saying like I've never experienced like a sugar crash before the toast. I wonder if today's episode will be worse or better given the fact that it's not the first thing we did today. I think it's going to be amazing.

but it might be a little different. Different is good. Due to... Sometimes we need to shake it up Chicago. The vanilla latte and the black and white cookie. Oh, and I had a cake as well. You did have cake. I didn't try the cake, but it was beautiful.

It was beautiful. The place looked great. It always does. Thank you. So, yeah, pretty much like Dinah talk about all the TV I watch last night and can't do that. Oh, and then the other thing that I did yesterday was record the right-aheads.

In this studio with Ms. Margo, Dana and Rebecca on Zoom, but we have like a huge monitor here. So like it was so premium. Is it better? It was amazing. And I was also saying like goals for the Redheads, you know, it used to be like Redheads production company.

Like I've probably moved on from that. Get a private jet redheads air to fly the girls in every month. Every month. Record right here so we can be together. Fly them back. I mean, there are technically four seats at this table that we're sitting at four microphones. No, it would be amazing for the Redheads.

And I'm so glad that like we had such a party set up for this book because the opinions were flying. We barely got to the questions. Good. It's better when like people. People have really extreme, both positive and negative takes on a book because it makes for much better. No, and like everybody's talking about this book. So if you read the book, you have to listen to the redheads.

If you're just like curious about the book but don't actually want to read it, you have to listen to the redheads. Like, seriously, nobody's doing what we're doing. Agreed. Nobody could. Nobody could. Nobody would dare. Nobody would dare read 72 books, like for fun. I wouldn't.

Or the love of book. I wouldn't. So that's coming out tomorrow. Wow. Okay. I want to do it, you know? Oh, wow. Okay.

Oh, yeah. I got like a little charm. It's not little. Yeah, I have like a little charm. It's very big. ASMR with my charm. Like, this is so, like, I'm so jonesy. For sure, but it's big.

By the way, yesterday I heard the name Garrett Geklund, like 12 more times after I had lunch. You're confusing him with our other boyfriend, Garrett Headlund. What's this guy's name? Garrett Graham. That's his character. Well, unfortunately, Margot is staying at my house. So I heard him come up so many more times. And it's too much.

it's actually not. And like, I'm sorry that you're, and like the show is not for you. I actually would not recommend that you watch it. Like now I'm sorry. It is starting to permeate a little bit more. You won't like it.

Like it's just not for you. And I think it's okay for things like not to be for you. So don't. But like just acknowledge that like it's the biggest thing in the world right now. And like everyone's talking about it. And just like it's like it's good clean fun. I'm not clean. I'm just like so tired of like all of this disposable nonsense.

You know like Gary. But we built a business on disposable nonsense. I'm not talking about the things that are, we've been recapping Housewives for a decade. We've been talking about these shows for many years. We're not doing disposable nonsense. Well, now it's like, it's the streaming and it's a culture where it's like things are for five minutes. The kissing booth.

To all the boys I loved before, it's like, and I just want something real. Okay, but like for me, like the kissing booth is still the most important thing. No, because of the minute to all the boys I love. You are the embodiment. The minute to all the boys I love before came out.

Sorry, I'm so young and Gen Z. All you said was kissing booth could never. Kissing booth was terrible. It was a piece of shit. Yeah. And I was only able to see that after I saw a movie as good as to all the boys of love before. You know what? It's like fast fashion.

It's fast content. It is. The number I turn pretty. Everything has their two days. Blows up. This person's like everywhere. It's just, it feels a little artificial and I find it fatiguing. So I agree that like the way content gets rolled out.

I think it's also very expensive and exhausting for like streaming services because nothing has a lasting impact. And it's great what's happening with off campus. But like it'll die down. And when season two comes out, it won't be as big as season one. Like whatever. Yes. These things have, except if you like, tell me lies, actually.

Yeah, tell me lies really. There was meat. There is meat. Every season, it was just as buzzy as the one before. More often than not the second and third seasons of these shows, like, you just do die down. So I agree. Like, as more of a statement on culture, like, it is crazy that content, it gets turned out so quickly.

They spend like $20 million on a TV show that people talk about for less than a week, and then it's on to the next, onto the next. More than 20 million. And that's more of like a statement on just like general culture and like people's attention spans and like binge culture. So don't take it out on Garrett Graham. Okay, my boyfriend. He is really the straw for me.

Don't hate the player. Hate the game. I am hating both. Well, they could never make me hate you, Garragram. But again, don't watch it. Like, I think it'll make this situation worse for you. If I know what they're actually. No, because you just won't like it.

Like, it's not for you. Right. But what if I watched it and I liked it? And like, then I'm like, okay, I get like why everyone's talking about it. But you're saying. Like, that just won't happen. I know you. You're just too like.

You can put me in a box. You really can. Okay, watch it. I would absolutely love for you to watch. watch it. Maybe I will. Okay. But now I have to watch Love Island. But maybe I would, but it's like, yeah, it's like if anybody needs anything for me in the next month, like six weeks? Six weeks. They said last night, six weeks. I can't do anything. I currently am working two full-time jobs. And one of them is watching Love Island USA. And being a full-time mother. Three jobs.

It's a lot. You try being a TV recapper for a day. Try it. Um, but it's like if I watched off-campus and it was like bad, you know, like, say objectively. Is, is off-campus objectively? Not me, not you. Is it good or is it bad? I can't answer that because my initial criticisms of the show. Because art is subjective. Well, of course. My initial criticisms of the show, I do feel are still true. Like, it is community theater.

It's like corny. ABC family. But like if you could just not take it that seriously and just like relax a little bit, like it's a fun show and it's like sweet. And you do find yourself like grinning when he's just like a cute guy. He's an athlete. Like it's a very. I like ABC family type content.

I like Hallmark. Yeah. Yeah. So maybe well, I don't know. I can ever. I don't know what you'd like. Try it. I think I have to watch it to find out if... But if you watch it, I need you to commit to three episodes.

But she did share like her and West having dated over the summer. And she's like at the apartment while he's at the Hamptons for the weekends. Like, okay, that's crazy. Yeah. That is crazy. And when she said and Kyle said like, you had a girlfriend when you're dating Amanda. Like, I don't care. I don't care about this unless the girlfriend was Lindsay Hubbard

Like I don't care I don't care in the room with us I don't just care about like a random person And someone always has the girlfriend It's true It's giving like the bachelor when someone would be like He broke up with me before you know It's like okay great

Totally but for them to have cumulatively been together Almost a year He was actually seeing her over the summer So like did he cheat on her with Sierra? What was that about? Have Sierra and Miha spoke about that moment Also Miha was like waiting for him In New York at his apartment all the time

While he was filming said that he wouldn't be able to be on the show if he had a girlfriend. Not true. Which I think is true for season one cast members. Yes, of course. No, Wes is like a staple now. And he's had like a lot of, he's very invested in the friend group. You're allowed to be in a relationship. Yeah.

And I guess he could have, if he really liked her, you know, offered to bring her on the show. But he also said like he was sort of protecting her from public opinion and whatnot. He was sort of giving this girl the run around. Yeah. She's like a schmock waiting at the apartment. Like, well, he says he loves me. But like, I can't go on the show. I can't be seen out in public with him.

He loves me too much. Yeah, right, right. And she's like building furniture for him Like oh that was dark The build the building I've been married for 10 years I've been hired for 10 years I would never build a piece of furniture for my husband

At first when Sierra said like didn't you build the furniture In his apartment I was like is she a carpenter Because I know she made the ties So I was like maybe she's a Handsy very like yeah She builds maybe like I follow some girls on Instagram Who build furniture they do

So it was like maybe that's what she doesn't know She was saying like we you know And that's a thing couples do Is they build the IKEA furniture They fight they work through it They're stronger for it She was making a more more of a statement on like the level of commitment they had made to one another.

But I did not see that as a sleigh. I had two major takeaways from this reunion. One, like everyone was pissing me off because I'm all down to like clown on West and Amanda. Like I'm there with you all. But like when we are rewriting history when it comes to Amanda and Kyle's marriage, like I found that really frustrating because it's like, yeah, we can now look at everything with like more of a sinister eye and like not blame Kyle for everything. But like we all watched.

We all saw what happened this summer. And so for everyone like seriously, I'm surprised they didn't snap. their necks bending over backwards just to try to make their marriage completely Amanda's fault. Like it was actually painful because up until now like what everyone against Obama and West have had on their side is like the truth. And like now it's like we're bending the truth. Like Kyle's not this guy. He is a bad. He's not an amazing husband. Everyone trying to like, what do you mean? Like he'd never cheated on you. And it's like, what are you guys talking about? Like everyone was actually pissing me off to the point where it's like, okay, well now the team of

truth tellers is actually starting to lie. And that's pissing me off. Yeah. And like Sierra saying like, I wish I saw things from your side this summer. I got. the impression this summer that Sierra doesn't even like Kyle as a friend. Like not only is he a bad husband to her best friend, but like she's not interested in a friendship with him. So like now rewriting history been like, like I should have like been there for you. Like been there for whom? No. And when they were like rehashing the argument where he told her to shut the fuck up, called her a dumb bitch. Like we're all sort of, we're rationalizing it. Yeah, because we see as like a wicked woman now. So it's like, well, of course the wicked woman should. Deserved it.

Yeah. And it's like let's not do that. Let's not rewrite. Two things can be true. It was really pissing me off. even when, like, West had to apologize to Kyle. The only time he apologized in this whole reunion so far was he apologized to Kyle for the Wolf of Wall Street, which I didn't think it was a bad analogy. I thought I agreed with him. Like what, like, so now West is to apologize for saying something about Kyle in regards to how Kyle speaks to his wife. Like, everything was just kind of backwards when we were talking about Amanda and Kyle's marriage.

It was pissing me off. Yeah, and it really wasn't that big of a deal. He tried to make an analogy. Sure, it was a little harsh, but like for Kyle to like go. crying, whining, like, you ruined my gift. Oh, right. The watch. Like, no, everyone has lost the plot now.

And it's just annoying when people do that because now it's like, well, now I'm, like, looking at everything you're saying with like a little bit of a suspicious eye. But it was the first time in the reunion where the couch that I'm siding with, like, was pissing me off. Yeah. When we talk about West and Amanda, we talk about the time, like, they are 100% wrong. They shouldn't even speak because there's nothing to say. Two things that are, like, bothering me and lingering for me.

One, like, I need someone to ask the question. like Amanda, you were best friends with Sierra this summer, crying in the bed together, like, sisters, sisters. How do you go from that to your feelings for this man are strong enough to betray your sister, even though you've never said you're in love? You hadn't had sex. You're just exploring something. Like, how do you rationally make that decision in your head? Like, where was your relationship at with Sierra in January, in February when Sierra says she's been there for you and she's talking about drinks, yeah? And so, like, what gave you permission?

to do that to someone who is a sister to you. Why did you think that that was an okay thing to do? One. The other thing is that everyone keeps saying West cares so much about being well-liked, his image. Dara said it, and we've been saying this for years, you know, watch parties, the fans. He cares about his cue score.

He resented Sierra for, like, turning the fans against him. What I don't understand, like, when people say that, it just makes me feel like he loves Amanda even more because he's throwing all of that in the garbage. And I think it's just like the alternative. Like he acted on an impulse. And it went so south that the alternative to now, like, backing out of it is worse. But they could have made out once.

In private. In private. Even if it came to light, you know, apologize because he cares about being likable. Yeah. But it seems as though he likes Amanda more than he cares about being likable. So the more that they say that and that he's using her to be likable, they've never been more unlikable. Yeah. It's not adding up.

It actually makes me feel like he's thrown away everything that he once cared about more than anything for this girl. And maybe it's just that we've like beat this situation to a whore, like beat to a pulp that like now I'm just starting to see alternative sides because like you can only talk about something so much before you offer another perspective. But like everyone was really pissing me off last night. Like I think that like undoubtedly what they've done is wrong and their behavior is really strange. That's really what it is. But I think that people are taking it like I think KJ putting his like family history and drama on West. Like that's unfair. It's a lot like that kind of has nothing to do with this.

And I'm sorry that like maybe you resonate with this type of. behavior for me. But to put all of that on West is like really not his doing. So I just feel like now everyone's really lost the plot. And they're just like obsessed with yelling at Amanda and Kyle. So much so to the point where it's making Amanda and Kyle look West. Amanda and West like look good. Like I actually felt bad for Amanda. Yeah. It's like bring her back out so we can beat her up some more. Yeah. Like I actually I felt bad for her. They're like, get out here, coward. Like yeah. Yeah. And she's really just like doing her best. She's obviously just trying to get through the day. She doesn't care how it goes. She doesn't care what's said to her. She's there to be a punchy bag and move forward from it. But she's like obviously

having a hard time doing that despite all the copious medication that she appears to be on. Yeah. Because it is hard. Of course. And it's like everyone like pretends to also like kind of care because Lindsay's like I'll go after her. Yeah. Just I can beat her up again. You know, Lindsay was like piling on a little bit.

Oh, they all are. And I understand they are in the right. What she did was so wrong. Like let's get her. Yeah, but like to what end? To what end? They've chosen each other. They don't think it's a huge deal.

deal. And the bigger deal that everyone makes it, the more, like, we're all, at least for me, I'm like, all right, like, it's bad. Yeah. Yeah. But it gets to a point where like, does the punishment fit the crime? Um, let's start quickly about Lindsay and Carl. The way I ship, like, when he was like saying how it meant so much to him that Lindsay came, like, like, what do you mean? Of course you came. It's her job. And he did also like, like, apologize. I feel like, as Lindsay, we were like Lindsay truthers. He did pull the rug out from underneath her. And I think that everybody like hated Lindsay at that time. So Carl was sort of like victim. Yeah. And for him to be like no, like I mend a lot for for me for her to come. Like even after how I treated her, which like I am really sorry for just it was like a very

small brief acknowledgement. But like for me as a Lindsay truther, it felt good. But I need that from the rest of the cast. They were so awful to her. Then Lindsay's right. Like when Amanda leaves. Lindsay's like you know how many fun. And it's true. Lindsay for like three seasons in a row was just getting her ass beat at the reunion. Like all the girls, the girls were so fucking mean to like the girls, girls. Like they just were looking for anything to find fault in with her. And yeah, she never got up. She's just like, she's a different breed. She's built different. She's tough and she's strong and she can handle it. Amanda is weak and she can't handle it. Yeah. But it's a good point. Like I could see why she has sort of no sympathy for Amanda because

like Lizzie's like, I didn't even do shit as bad as you and I had to take it. They get the credit for coming to the reunion. We get to say, like, they came to the reunion. You know, if they didn't come to the reunion, they'd be off the next season. It would be a breach of contract. So someone was saying, like, she comes to the reunion, but she's not actually going to do the reunion. It seems like a bit of a cop out. But she's doing it. She's doing it. Like, I now am at the place where I feel like she's been punished. I don't think she fully understands why what she did is so wrong. That's what's crazy. And for me, it's the betrayal of Sierra. How you could do that to a sister with the guy that she was crying with you over five months ago, because their relationship went a little bit

into September, I guess. So that's happening in September and then like January, you start, February you start catching feelings. Like that's the thing that she really needs to answer for. In the beginning of the saga, I was like, oh my God, that's crazy for Kyle, like his best friend and his wife's misses, you know, but his mate's misses. But Kyle was such a shite husband. It's true. So I agree. I actually don't think, let's say West was just Kyle's friend, not Sierra's ex. Like, you know what? When you treat your wife like such a dog shit, you actually, don't get the respect afterwards. That would be if Amanda started dating Jesse Solomon, which would be cute.

Yeah, it would be crazy. It would be a story like. It would be scandalous, but I think a lot of people would root for it. They would want to see her happy. She chose the one person who she should not have chosen. Absolutely. And I don't think she fully gets, I don't think she's really sorry. Like, I think that the way it unraveled, like I think she's, it thinks it's unfortunate,

but I don't think she's like deeply sorry to Sierra. But that's insane. You know, so she's crazy. And so that's why it's hard to even have a full thought on it because on the one hand it's like, well, you know what? Like we've berated the girl enough. She has mental health issues. Like how much are we going to do? Like what do we want to happen?

But on the other hand, it's like, do you even understand why people are mad at you? I don't think that she does. Yeah. It's very odd behavior. Yeah. I guess she would have to really be like, I'm so sorry I did this to you, but like I love him. That's really all she could say. Yeah.

And they're not at that place in their relationship. It's very awkward. Now, I also have a hot take about like Dara's. double double homicide. She like made this like monologue that everybody I think thought was really powerful.

I think she just used big words to say what we're all saying is that he's going to throw you out like trash the sex he's done with you. No, no, he said what everyone has been saying but she said it in a new eloquent and eloquent way. And so much so that they made her repeated

and she like embellished a lot the second time. Like it was I just know like did it again amazingly again. I feel like that's something we would have like missed in editing. Like you know when somebody says I mean but she wasn't there so they'll redo it again. But like the fact that they showed it to us twice. Like, I just felt awkward. Yeah.

I guess they thought that, like, Dara might have West's back because they came on his friends. Yeah. And I guess she was just issuing a warning to Amanda. But, yeah, everything Dara said just made me feel like West loves her. Oh, wow. You're seeing it from a new side. Yeah, because he cares so much about his cue score and being likable.

And the ladder and the social climbing. And he just went down 20 pegs to do this. He gave up so many things that we've now been told. and told are so deeply important to him. For Amanda. That it's got to be true love. So if I'm Amanda, I'm winning. Flattered.

Winning because I know she went into the dressing room and she's like the things that they're saying about you are like really like sort of destabilizing her in terms of like if she can trust him. But like if I'm her, I'm like, wow, he turned his back on all that he loved. For me. For me. It's beautiful. And then I did think the FaceTime to me, how was losery?

I appreciate the information about the summer. And it's funny because on the one hand, Wes is in the room being like, it's going to get easier from here on now. I think he thought the hard part is over. They didn't even show a preview for part three. I think part three, we've not seen anything of.

We've not heard anything of. I think we have no idea what's, I think, I think part three is like really going to be explosive and we have no idea what's coming because they're going to bring up Mija. And the timeline. Oh, maybe like Amanda doesn't even know.

Yeah. At that point, the villagers, like, know each other. It's funny. Everyone looks forward to it. I can excuse a little bit of raunchiness. But like night one out of the gate, like multiple partners swapping slide. But like kissing as if they're in like a romantic movie. Romantic movie. A port and a graphic movie.

No, but like they're kissing like you're back for more. I just want to say like going into a kiss with your tongue already out is disgusting. Like tongues are supposed to come out once the kiss has begun. Like literally if I ever saw something kissing me and they come at me, their tongues already out of their mouth. Like are you a dog? Are you a dog? Also remember last season like, like Bella wasn't kissing.

Belle Daughey. She did cheek kisses. I thought that was so cute. I would have liked for this season to have like more people like that who are like, I'll give you a peck and let's take it from there. But they obviously felt the opposite. Like we're never doing that again.

I would have went to every door that I thought would be the least popular with no one behind. So I didn't have to kiss anybody. But it's also like. But it's also like, Love Island is a humiliation ritual. Like any guy would know like the dog, if you want to kiss multiple, like go to the dog door. No, but the show is literally a humiliation ritual because what do you mean no one was behind your door? Like I would be, I would never recover for that.

Yeah. It's better when it's like go on. It's better when it's happened to a guy though. Of course. Yeah. But he winds. Oh, and then Anaya has to be like discarded when there's two for one. Yeah.

Because then when people do kiss and, like, I guess they, like, are actually in love, like, how are we supposed to know? No, I know. And, like, it's a big deal to, like, kiss outside of a challenge. I guess, like, that's how Islanders figure it. It's like, everyone kisses it a challenge, but, like, did you kiss outside of a challenge? Got it. And some people were kissing outside of challenge.

And it's like not fair that the islanders sleep on the main floor and the girls have to get dressed on the top floor. They have to walk upstairs after they wake up, whereas like the guys get dressed right there. The glam room should be on the same floor as the kitchen and the bedrooms. Why?

She's like, we have to go up and down stairs when you're like getting dressed and doing your makeup. These are like some of the fittest people. No, no. The men should have to walk upstairs to like shower and stuff. They don't have a room like that. The showers? The showers are for everyone.

to do and i understand like why the mayor felt like he needed to say something about it and like he felt personally victimized by love and i didn't realize like there are a lot of like threats to police forces you know budget cuts etc um i didn't realize like the police force is up against love island as well She's added to the list. Added to the list. But it makes sense. They're like fit, you know? Looking for love.

starring Sasha Peters. Rosemary Kennedy is one of the craziest stories of our time. So it's sort of ripe for a biopic. Sasha Peters feels like such a random casting just because we know her as A. Yeah. But she's like a talented,

competent actress and I'm sure she'll be great. I don't know why it feels right. Like seeing the picture side by side, like I can see it. There's no one who like immediately comes. comes to mind for Rosemary. And I'm just like, I like Sasha Peters. Like, put her in. Yeah. Like, it's not Ann Hathaway. You know? Yeah. Like it's something new. Yeah. It feels random. But she is like a competent actress. And so yeah, like do something new,

do something different. I agree. I have no problems with this. It just feels random. For those who don't know, Rosemary Kennedy was the sister of President John F. Kennedy and Senators Robert F. Nett Kennedy. As a child, she reportedly exhibited developmental delays. And in her young adult years, is said to have developed behavioral issues. In response, the family patriarch Joseph Kennedy, senior, arranged a lobotomy on her when she was 23 years old, a procedure which left her permanently incapacitated. She spent most of the rest of her life being cared for at an institution in Wisconsin,

and she was isolated from family and siblings for long periods of time. She died from natural causes in 2005 at age 86. It's such a terrible story. They literally removed a whole chunk of her reign. And now knowing what we know, like, what were her behavioral issues? Was she, like, autistic? Like, you know what I mean? Like, is there something now that we know, like, what she would have been considered?

I don't know. Like behavioral issues is just so general. Yeah, general and like developmental delays could really be anything. She wasn't crawling? Like what was it, you know? No, she was 23 years old. No, but you say developmental delays. Like it could mean a million things.

She could have been like acting out. I don't know. Right. It's such a like, it's such a dark corner of the Kennedy family history. Yeah. It comes up a lot. Like people always talk about it. I think people only really know that.

You know, she was lively. Yeah. Over excited 23 year old. and then she had a lobotomy and then she's... At her parents, like, behest. Yeah, and then she was incapacitated for the rest of her life and disabled. Yeah, it's sort of like a shit stain on the Kennedy family legacy. It's like...

And they kept her hidden. Like, it's just a really dark... I don't know a ton about it. Like, actually, I will see this movie. But I think people bring it up a lot, too, because it's also... When they talk about the Kennedy curse, they believe that this is the origin. Oh, I didn't know that. That's what I've heard.

I thought people talked about a lot because, like, you know, when we're talking about, Like, you know how, like, lobotomies are one of those things, like hysteria, like where you would remove a woman's uterus because they thought she had hysteria. Like one of those things that you used to do medically that now we're insane. Like people, lobotomy used to be like a recommended surgery where you would literally cut out a piece of a person's brain. You would drill into someone's skull. Yeah. And now we're like, are you dumb?

Yeah. But at the time, it was widely considered like a leading advanced doctor-old. Yeah, like smart, wealthy people doing it. We're doing it. Right. Doctors recommending it. So I feel like whatever I hear about Rosemary Kennedy, it's in that context. Yeah, of like Lillobotomy being cited as something that, you know, at the time was cutting edge and now is barbaric.

And then it, of course, makes you think about whatever we're doing right now that might seem cutting edge right now that history will remember is barbaric. So Sasha Peters being cast like, okay, I'm down. I like it. Me too. Where, who went, when, where, how in the movie? Is it at Netflix? Like, what is it? So here's what it is.

Mike Medavoy, who's a director known for Black Swan and Shepard. Shutter Island is helping Shepard the film, which will be written and directed by Corey Todd Hughes. Shutter Island. It's getting the Shutter Island. This is for Sasha Peters. Yeah. And Adrian Speckert, whose scripts to date have included Under Fire starring Dylan Spouse and Foster starring Ron Perlman. Okay, Dylan Spouse.

But it doesn't say, maybe it's going to be like a theatrical release. According to the team, the contained thriller will quote, dramatize Rosemary Kennedy's struggle with mental health, the devastating decision by her father to subject her to a lobotomy at age 23. and the long-lasting consequences of that choice. The film is based on an article in all that's interesting called Rosemary Kennedy, JFK's sister, who was lobotomized and locked away.

I imagine the family's not thrilled. They didn't even like when that rhyme or if you think came out, which was largely flattering. So Gertia Loins. Yeah, Peter's set of the role, Rosemary's story has been told in fragments. What drew me to this project is how it explores her as a person, not a symbol, but a fully realized human being

with dreams and vulnerabilities. Stop, it's like, such a sad story. The director said of this isn't just a historical by a pick. It's a psychological journey told through Rosemary's eyes, one that challenges the audience to reckon with how we define agency, dignity, and identity. I'm

sat. Yeah, me too. I'll give it five sats down. Yeah, agreed. Are you ready for our fourth story? Kylie Jenner boards her private jet with her kids and her friends for a lavish Turks and Caicos vacation for Kylie Cosmetics.

So like I said, I love that this is like Kylie's attempt at like, you know, getting in the mix with, you know, brand trips and influencers. Like, I guess all of her friends like do have a million TikTok followers. So it's like, why would I take some randoms when I could take my friends? So it's basically just like a girl's trip with Stormy on the company card. And I love that. I love that too. We know she loves Turks and Kikos.

She was actually raving about Turks and Kikos with Jake Shane. So this is just like fun and flirty. I will say like for me if I'm like head of comms at Kylie Cosmetics, like I don't know that this is it. It's not. Not at all. I would have liked to see, if we're really trying to, like, highlight how they're to show the product, because they are like watermelon sugar lip balm is coming out. I think she should have done it with all her sisters. Yeah.

No, this feels like they're getting in the game that everyone plays. And this is the game that you have to play when you're a celebrity founded brand. Like, you have to do the events. You have to host influencers. You have to make TikTok. You have to do brand trips. And this is like her getting involved in, like, her own way. And they did it 10 years ago.

They're also throwing flashbacks to pictures from the time that they did. it with friends, which was also really fun when they did it then, but it's giving me a little bit, like, King Kylie Missoula. Like, redoing what was once iconic and, like, not a new idea. Yeah, I don't know what's right and what's next for Kylie Cosmetics, because it does feel like this brand that's stuck in 2016. They released new products quite frequently, and their products that, like, you know, they just have a new lip peptide.

Like, they're on trend, but it feels like Claire's makeup. I think they need a total rebrand. I feel like it should just be called, like, Kylie, not even Kylie Cosmetics. It's just like... I don't know what's right for the brand. I don't think that it's this. I don't think this is going to, you know, make a big... Yeah.

But I was looking at the brand's Instagram yesterday. They have 24 million followers. Like, it's insane. And they really have no impact on the industry, like, at all. Like, this trip, like, is not doing anything. Yeah. Maybe she was just taking a trip with her friends and was like, let's make it a moment for Kylie Cosmetics.

They need a little bum. No, she did, like, this room tour when she went to Sauss's room and showed what was on the bed. Wait. No, and then she ends in and she's like, so that's everyone's rooms. She showed us, like, one and a half rooms. No, and like that's what they do.

You deck out people's rooms on brand trips. Like, everyone gets like a free laptop with their name on it and a robe and product. And like comparatively, like everyone got like a couple of lipsticks in a water bottle. It also feels like when I'm watching the content from this trip, like, they're all on like an inside joke that like I'm on the outside of. Like they're so like best friends that like as an outsider, it's hard to feel like you're there and you're participating because they're just like joking and saying half sentences and laughing at each other. And the success of a brand trip is like everybody shares everything and you feel like you're there. there. Yeah. Oh my, who's rooming with who? Like, what's the drama? There's really none of that. You know, and everyone's like a little tipsy and they're like just like having fun and I'm like,

I'm happy for you guys. But like, what do I have to do with this? Yeah. It's just not, it's not giving. Kylie doesn't have to do stuff like that. Like I know that not, it's not it's not for everyone doing the TikTok influence or brand trip. So like don't, don't do it. But now, like, doing your own version of it just sort of highlights how like you refuse to sort of play the game. And it's like, do literally anything else. Yeah. Like, where's Timothy? You could have in there with Timothy. Yeah. That would be like,

they should host, they should actually host like an NBA watch part. Like something, something that feels personal to Kylie. Like this just feels so like, okay, she likes Turks and Kato's hot.

And her friends. Yeah. And her mom. And it's just like, it's been done. And it's not like doing much for me, but like I, I love to see my girl happy and thriving.

They should do like a Nix palette. Like something, blues and oranges. Yay. You love it. Yes. No, it's just like,

you know that is so 2016. But the brand is like really stuck in that like color pop 2016 era. I guess. I can't see the brand with like clear vision because I love it. Yeah. I still buy it.

I buy it to the skin tint is the best thing in the world. That's what they were saying when everyone was saying like what's your favorite product on the video like Igris and Kylie were like the skin tint. I wear the skin tint in the summer. I just will say if anyone in product development is listening, it's like so not transfer proof it ends up on all my clothes. Like if I were to go like this like it would just be it's like a little oily. And I said but it's such a good like summery full coverage light skin tint. Oh, maybe I should try it because I was telling you this, Claudia, but when I went to the, I was at the dermatologist the other day and she was looking at my skin, she was like, you're like a little bit red. I'm like, yeah, no, that's like me. If you guys ever like watch vlogs or anything, if I'm ever like not wearing makeup, like my skin is very red. I've always said I've had like light rosation. And she was like, do you want anything for that? I'm like, is that an option to like not be red all the time. And she was like, yeah, like I have a topical cream. It's like, prescription trade. It's like prescription trade, but it's not like too strong. It's like made of some compound or whatever. And, and. So she gave it to me and, like, I'm going to start using it.

It's the kind of strong, so I use it, like, every other day right now. But, like, I... It was just shocking to Jackie, like, that there was a solution for this. Like, she just thought it was like, no, no. There's something I just, like, live with. And it doesn't bother me. And, like, once I put my makeup on, like, you would really never know. But I do wind up wearing, like, heavier foundations.

I just saw her on... Today, CBS morning. Oh, yeah, it was Gail King. She was saying that she's like taking a little bit of a step back from work to prioritize her daughter who is obsessed with being on Broadway. Yes. And so I guess this is pink like sort of using her Nepo to like get in with the Broadway world. Well, she said it was almost an immediate yes when she was asked,

but she had to get permission from Willow because it's her lane and they try and stay out of her lane. But like the girl was like, can I come? Oh, that's sweet. And so Pink was like, yeah, I think I get seats. So what she was saying on Gail King was that because Gail was like, well, is your daughter any good? Gail was kind of being nuts. I respect to the question, though, because Pink was like, there's nothing I won't do for my daughter. And Gail was like, well, of course, but like, is she good?

And Pink was like, yes. And if she wasn't, like, I probably wouldn't have encouraged her to do it. And Gail was like, well, how would you tell your daughter that she sings? Like, Gail was being really nutty. I mean, they're shifting things up at CBS, like, news. She's got to keep it on top of things. So Pink was like emulating how she would have had that conversation. Like, it was seriously, like, it was funny.

And I guess it's a good question. I'm sure everybody just asks Pink the same questions. But I just wanted to note, like, Gail, I see you. You're insane. I also saw Gail and call her daddy. Like, also, like, telling crazy stories. I feel like Gail is sort of, she's just sort of a wallflower. She's like, Oprah's friend.

But there's so. Yeah. There's so much there there. Yeah. She was cracking me up. She's sort of like an open book. Yeah. But you can't put her in a box.

Correct. Like most great women. Like most great women. It's true. Yeah. And pink as well. She said there'll be acrobatics at the Tony Awards. Maybe I'll be watching.

I just so don't see like the Tonys as a pink space. But like she's so Tony. You know, she's so Broadway. Like theatrical. And I feel like she's really liked. She's probably one of the most well-liked celebrities. She's so unoffensive. She doesn't have beef with one person, although I think she has beef with Taylor.

But she's. But it's funny because when the girls were girling back in the day, like, she was the bad seed. Yeah. And it's like you would think like Jessica Simpson has no haters. And now all those girls like seem whack-a-doodle. And pink is the sober one. Well, what's crazy was that pink was like the alt one with short hair and like kind of goth. I mean, well, she's married 100 years.

She's like, like, little traditional life. Yeah. Right. No, like, eh, goth. And she's like loki a trad wife. Like she's married to the guy. She winds up being like the most brand safe one. Stable, like home life.

Yeah. No divorces. Don't call her a tradwife. She won't like that. No, no, I was kidding. But you know what I mean? She's very traditional, like her home life. But she's still like that radical little rebel.

Yeah. But she just does it in a way where it's like, that's our radical little rebel. And we love her. I love her. Everybody loves her. It's true. So that's cool space that she's carved out for pink self. For pink self.
