Starting point is 00:00:00 Good morning, Millennials! Welcome back to the Toast and happy Tuesday! Hey, Jax, how ya durn, girlfriend? I'm durn good, boyfriend. Um, no. We're girlfriend, boyfriend. No, we're girlfriend, girlfriend. Love is love and I love you.
Starting point is 00:00:17 I love you too. I choose you on this Tuesday. How are you doing? Such a loaded question. In a spiritual sense, I'm doing really well. Okay. Physical sense, you know, feeling a little groggy. Okay. I would say overall, if you really truly wanted to know, and I know you didn't, you were just being polite. I'm doing okay. Okay. Well, I hope that levels will increase after or during this episode of The Toast. That's what we do here.
Starting point is 00:00:52 You just can't help but let the toastiness overcome you. You just can't help but let the chips fall where they may. Well, that's the damn truth. This week is kind of crazy because this hurricane is historic. I've been tracking it. Okay, twisters. As have most Floridians because Florida has not seen a hurricane like this since the 1920s, over 100 years ago.
Starting point is 00:01:17 It's Category 5, set to hit Tampa Bay. The mayor of Tampa Bay, did you see her interview where she was like, if you stay, you will die. yeah I this hurricane is not survivable I have thought about you a lot thank you because I know like you live not in the region but like it's the same state like are you worried at all I am a little worried storms can change they can change paths and even if it's not at the storm center like you still get a lot of weather. So it's going to be a crazy couple of days down here in the sunshine state. So if you are in an area that is called to be evacuated, like I hope that you've evacuated.
Starting point is 00:01:55 Traffic is crazy getting out of town. But you still have time. It's supposed to hit tomorrow night, right? Tomorrow afternoon, they're saying. If you are in a zone that has been evacuated I have one thing to say get out right now like actually yeah and I mean people are trying but it's hard like you have to you have to assume your home might not be there when you get back like by the way so much easier said than done like also it's like batten down the hatches leave behind everything
Starting point is 00:02:22 you know in this world it's very very difficult. A lot of people are still already suffering from Hurricane Helene. I saw that some of these places hadn't even fully recovered from Hurricane Ian. There's just a lot to consider and so I'm wishing everyone the best. Yeah me too. And just waiting I guess. Do you see the meteorologist crying? I saw the meteorologist crying. He said like he's he was like an older gentleman clearly an experienced meteorologist crying? I saw the meteorologist crying. He said like he's he was like an older gentleman clearly an experienced meteorologist and we just kind of overcome like no he knows the magnitude and like he's seen things and he knows like this is going to be devastating. He's never seen anything like this before. I feel like sometimes there's like not a lot of hoopla for a
Starting point is 00:02:58 hurricane and then it ends up being like completely devastating and sometimes there's a lot of hoopla and it's like not that bad. Hopefully that's what's going to happen. Hopefully but we need a miracle. The miracles happen. Miracles happen once in a while. And if you're listening to this episode maybe like you live in an area that's like being hit and you're hunkering down and like you saved your episodes of the toast like this is you're listening to this as a hurricane is hitting like we are with you. You've got this. Yeah. Power of prayer. You luke holmes putting together a benefit concert now the question that everybody wants to know is luke holmes number one song or maybe one of his top five songs is called hurricane and when you're doing a benefit concert for like the victims of
Starting point is 00:03:39 hurricane colleen are you singing that song like it's not disrespectful but it's like a little weird it's a little on the nose but I think if you give it like a nice prelude of like this one's called hurricane like this goes out to all the ones I think it could be a tribute there's a right way to do it I don't think anybody though would like ever assume in any scenario but this one in particular that Luke Combs has anything other than good intentions but I do what like that's definitely a conversation amongst his team to play Hurricane or to not. Since it's the benefit concert and he clearly shows that he cares and he's helping, like, he's going above and beyond.
Starting point is 00:04:11 Like, nobody can accuse him of shit. But, like, if there was a pop star with the song Hurricane and, like, today she was doing a performance, like, in a racy little something, like, sitting about a hurricane, that would come off as tone deaf. It would have to be you know toned down an acoustic stripped down version yeah I think like when you're doing the benefit concert like you can sing the song but if you're singing about a hurricane like glowingly right after a devastating
Starting point is 00:04:35 hurricane and another one coming through maybe that's a skip for the day right that's kind of like one of my favorite performances I think we all have those we all have like a list of YouTube videos that we get drunk and like make everyone in the room watch, right? One of mine, it's like kind of dark, but it's Beyonce singing at Kobe Bryant's funeral. Apparently like his favorite Beyonce song was XO. But like the line in the chorus is crashing into you. He had literally just died of a hurricane, of a helicopter crash.
Starting point is 00:05:01 And she actually changed the word, just not not wanting to trigger a nation you know yeah that was like at the queen's platinum jubilee yes sam rider he has that song they're gonna throw a party on the day that i die george ezra that's not sam it's george ezra and yeah isn't george ezra like an old man no he's the guy who sings budapest my house in green grass yes george blue sky. That's how I learned the song. I'm like, I love this song. I heard it at the Queen's Jubilee.
Starting point is 00:05:29 They changed the lyric from you're better, you're going to throw a party on the day that I die because it was. I mean, that was a lip. That was like, talk about on the nose. That was like up the nostril. It was really. Yeah. So that was amended.
Starting point is 00:05:41 Not to like, you know, make the hurricane about me. And I'm not. I'm just like, I'm trying to switch subjects because I wanted to share something and I just remembered it oh two things actually just one actually um kind of developing story over the last couple of months I have major news to announce okay I'm listening major ready special announcement yesterday yesterday I put in an offer on a studio which I haven't done yet um the good thing about the situation I have found myself in is like I am looking for a bunker like a unit with no windows which are the least desirable units who the fuck would if you actually work in like
Starting point is 00:06:15 an office environment who the fuck would look for something without windows um and I found a unit with a one bath one unit in the bathroom I mean one window one window I found a unit with one unit in the bathroom. One window. One window. I found a unit with one window in the bathroom. So literally it's a bunker. Nobody wanted it. It's half the price of this place. It's been sitting on the market forever.
Starting point is 00:06:34 I just put in an offer in yesterday. If we get it, which I am fairly certain we will. Let me say it's such a fabulous building. Like my walk just got cut in half. Thank God. This walk is just a little too long for me. We would have two unique studio setups. So like when Ben comes. Unique New York? Yes. I would have my OG and we're going to renovate a little bit when I move. Like our remote setup is just going to be a little different. Facelift. So I'll have a nice space for that and then I'll have a totally separate area
Starting point is 00:06:57 for two seats. So when Ben and Josh want to do it, when you come to town. I'm getting a little ahead of myself because I haven't accepted my offer. And like, I did low ball. Like I was being really. But is it this not, I hope they don't watch this episode, but like if they stuck with their asking price, like would you still take it? Their asking price is so under budget. Like that's how much I slayed the house down on this.
Starting point is 00:07:17 The answer is yes. And sorry, I didn't slay the house down. Ben's sister, Maddie is a commercial real estate agent. Maddie slayed the house. Even if they don't accept your offer, like, and you just say, okay, I was playing hard to get. Like, I'll take what you're offering. So it will be yours.
Starting point is 00:07:29 It shall be yours. Not me, like, showing my cards publicly on the podcast. Like, we need to cut this out. Do you think there's any chance they're watching this? Like, yeah. Like, everyone who works in real estate is, like, Jewish people, like, that I know from, like, high school.
Starting point is 00:07:40 Everyone I know went into real estate. Give Turdi a break. Come on. No, like, do you care about the toast? Like, do you want our bottom line to suffer? Like just help me. Yeah it should be free. They should pay you. We're literally a 501c3. Like this is charity work that we do to bring joy to everyone. It's so true. Oh my god what else? Oh is Taylor Swift a story like about the game last night? Yeah yeah yeah. She's a big story. I'll save my little. I'll save my little. She's a twofer.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Because that's what I watched last night. like I've really made peace with not finishing love is blind and because I interacted on social media with so much love is blind content like now I'm really getting in the weeds on everyone's drama mostly Tyler like it goes deep and it's disappointing like seriously never meet your heroes I am caught up now on love is blind it's really not doing anything for me like I'm on my phone way too much. So we'll see if I miss it and I'm curious about it. I'll go back to it, but I'm happy to be caught up. I will be curious who actually gets married,
Starting point is 00:08:33 but it's just not my favorite bunch of peeps. What can I say? Except when Marissa, nope, Monica. Thank you. When Monica told him to stop talking. When Monica told him to stop talking. When Monica told him to stop talking. I wasn't paying attention. And then she like started saying like, it's too much.
Starting point is 00:08:50 I'm like, Zach, go back. What did I miss? No. And that's exactly like what I meant. He talks so much. He says nothing. He thinks he's like so smart and progressive and profound and empowering. And it's like, shut up.
Starting point is 00:09:05 Okay. But I feel two ways about that. Because like because like yeah what's worse than somebody not shutting up and like saying the worst shit like shut up I kind of loved that she took her power back but also like what's meaner than like someone like being excited and like chatting about something and then like somebody just being like can you shut up like she wasn't I'm like I'm a really chatty person so I feel and I get excited about things and I feel like Claudia it's so different I know I know I know when you speak like you're being funny and entertaining and some people could even be like seriously you're not gonna hear what I'm saying and educational like he's saying nothing he's taking up all of the space the room and then
Starting point is 00:09:38 even when she well the problem is is now that she's heard it and now that she's seen it like how do you unsee it how can you like live with that forever it's an if it bothered you once it's gonna bother you forever but when she told him to stop talking and he was like smiling so big with like about to start like crying tears of joy that she told like it was deranged no he is seriously oh and so funny is um a lot of our listeners their feedback from what we said yesterday is like no you guys don't understand like I live in DC and this is what it's like today. Like the men in DC are horrible. I'm so sorry. I know. But you know what I find so interesting about Monica? And I wanted to bring this up yesterday. I feel like when she was doing her reveal, she said something so honest and I feel like kind of relatable. She's like, I'm 36 and I look at my life and all I've cared
Starting point is 00:10:19 about for so long is like career goals, having a million friends, traveling. And like, now I look around, like, I don't care about any of that stuff and I'm just lonely. And I think a lot of people feel that way, but you're like kind of ashamed to admit. And I think that like, you know, we're always like, especially for women, like you don't need a man, you don't need a man, but like, it's okay to need a man. Like I'm independent and like, I desperately need my husband. Like in the most, like not even like in the scariest sense. And's okay and I actually thought that was such a really honest thing to say and it made me like her in that moment so much and like even her loneliness can't mask her hatred of him like no and it's like I so for that reason like I want
Starting point is 00:10:57 her to find someone and she'll make it work and she seems like someone who would be committed to making it work but like all of those things that are bothering her about him right now just the talking incessantly like he was doing in the pods and you chose him yeah but the thing is the only thing to do in the pods is talk so maybe you don't notice but now we're on vacation let's read let's relax like shut up and then the other moment of note there were a few but something that you know to. Did Tyler bring up his kids? Tyler, if he did, I watch every episode. So if he did, I missed it. Oh, okay, no.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Hannah and Nick and the duck and the older woman. Yeah. She was being such a bitch. Fabissina, fabissina punim. And the fact, like, I was honestly glad for him that like she was like making fun of him for wanting to do this thing. So, and he still like went and did it. She's not going to gonna ruin his good time this older woman and she was kind of like the perfect person to like come over and do because it's not a threat
Starting point is 00:11:52 like she's and she was probably like with her partner like they were just genuinely having fun and then the way that Hannah recapped it to someone else saying yeah the older woman called her a jealous bitch no she didn't she just silly, like silly, like don't be jealous. And the fact that Hannah like made it into a thing, like he was talking to another woman. It was so not that whatsoever. And then, and she was like, if someone was talking about you like that, I wouldn't just be giggling. Meanwhile, she's on the couch for this and talking shit about him to the producers. And all of her friends are making comments about his looks. Has she said anything? No she is the worst. The worst. Agreed. And he even if I did understand what she was saying in the pods like too suave saying the right thing it was giving like Sam from UK. He's a lovely person. A happy person. And she's
Starting point is 00:12:37 not a happy person and she's bringing him down. That's what it is. Like only a real like joyful person like goes and like wants to ride a fake dog and like makes friends on vacation. Like she is Fabicina. When she was sitting there, like being like, you're giving me the ick. Like, and they,
Starting point is 00:12:52 when he came back and they were fighting, I was like, you guys should break up right now. Like this is not going to work for you. I hate the concept of the ick. Like when it first came out, I was really into it. Like,
Starting point is 00:13:00 it's funny. I know what you mean. Like you see someone like waiting in line. You're like, Oh, um, but I think it's really given like people an excuse to like dislike people and write them off completely for like the most natural like innocuous things and it makes people it makes
Starting point is 00:13:13 you mean all the time people now conflate like ick with red flag like a red flag means you should like walk away from someone like stop don't pass go and it is not that like it's just a moment of but clenching and then you don't clench and you carry on it's true it's so true so okay he gave you the ick okay cool i'm sure you gave him the ick thousand percent and then the list that you like had next to her bed and kind of get there oh you didn't finish everything no oh i thought you did no i'm done oh like i'm not done in the sense that I finished it I'm done in the sense that like I will no longer participate got it I've watched every episode they have on offer good for you it's not a good season it's not a great group that's what I'll say I won't
Starting point is 00:13:59 miss them if I choose not to pick it back up again yeah same um but we have stories today I mean we have you sound surprised we've got that swirlitude right we do again don't be surprised about that I could never stories and swirlitude that's the bedrock of the toast so true bedrock what does that remind you of the Flintstones classic of course um I was like wait am I wrong like what else would literally what else would there be and bedrock is a word that I am always looking for I need to like and then also like Jason Derulo I can make your bedrock literally when I use the words like cornerstone and like core tenant the word I'm really looking for is bedrock. And I've just now realized that. And I need to really learn this word and unlearn core tenant.
Starting point is 00:14:50 And what was the other cornerstone? Oh, I'll miss cornerstone. Bye. Thanks for the memories. That's like your favorite restaurant. The corner store is a cornerstone of your American culture, of your dining preferences.
Starting point is 00:15:03 That is true. So maybe it could be a bedrock now. Every time I wear jeans on the toes, of your dining. Of American culture. Of your dining preferences. That is true. So I'm maybe diving. Or maybe it could be a bedrock now. Every time I wear jeans on the toes, I regret it. Like, the circulation to my labia is like, it's completely cut off. That was me yesterday.
Starting point is 00:15:16 Today I'm wearing. It's so rough. I'm wearing these capri trousers that are stretchy and adorable from Revolve. They were on pre-order and I just got them yesterday. But do you want to know something so crazy? they came with a hole in them i'm still wearing them
Starting point is 00:15:30 and i'm not sending them back because like they were on pre-order like i won't get another pair but i'll have where is it it's on the seam on the leg okay on the seat oh i see it oh my god you see it but you guys won't see it that's why oh my god that's really crazy on the seam you know I can fix that for you yeah of course like it's a nothing but like seriously revolve really like I'm glad you brought that up why together for the last like two years absolutely everything on revolve is exclusively available for pre-order what is that and then like six months later you get a dress and you're like I literally don't need this oh I have the opposite experience where it's like shucks I don't want to preorder it. I need it next week.
Starting point is 00:16:07 And then all of a sudden I, but I preorder it because it's cute. And then it's like here two days later. What is up with preorder? Like one, maybe these are popular styles that they can't keep in stock. And two, maybe it allows them to not place like mass orders and just sort of like do things made to order, which is a more profitable business model. It's so lowbrow. Like if I order something, I expect it to come. This rip is so lowbrow.
Starting point is 00:16:29 We did a whole episode on like the quality of Revolve. We did, what was that? Like a couple of months ago. Revolve has gone so downhill. It's insane. To me, it's the same level quality as like H&M now. God, but the prices are like 10 times as much. Oh, did you see Cult Gaia for Gap? No. I love when brands do this. Remember like Isabel Marant, Balmain for H&M, Missoni for Target. No, but it's always like really big houses
Starting point is 00:16:52 and things that are super like luxury. And it's cool when they do H&M. But I also love the idea of just like great designers, like mid-level designers collaborating with more affordable brands too. Cult Gaia for Gap. It's like a real blend. Cult Gaia is like very like statement piece and Gap Gaia for Gap. It's like a real blend. Kolt Gaia is like very like statement piece and Gap is very like basic.
Starting point is 00:17:09 So it's like a real blend. I just, I love when brands do that. Like we need more of that all the time. And I thought that was a really good one. I don't know if Gap has ever done one. They. Yeah, that guy. But like that's not real.
Starting point is 00:17:23 Yeah. Okay, cool. Yeah. And now without further ado about the rip, here are the rip. Here are the Fast Five stories that you need to know. Starting point is 00:21:11 And they have a great new offer that we're going to share with you, but I just want to say, like, Lume deodorant, I love underarm deodorant, don't get me wrong, but I have, like, a lot of other areas, especially as, like, a big breasted woman and a woman with rolls. Like, there are crevices and cracks that need attention too. And Lumi deodorant is for that. And it's also, I think a lot of people are just concerned about odor in their nether
Starting point is 00:21:31 regions and its pH balance. It was created by an OBGYN so you can use it there too. It's clinically proven to block odor all day long and control odor for up to 72 hours. They've also formulated a new product to keep you smelling fresh and help you stay drier. Lumi whole body deodorant plus sweat control. hours. Starting point is 00:22:16 Our first story, tailored Swift's return to rock the stage and the stands at Arrowhead for Chiefs versus Saints game. She wore a Vivienne Westwood set, and more notably, she wore sparkle freckles on her face, which kind of had the internet in a tizzy. Yeah, she wore Vivienne Westwood, which she wears all the time,
Starting point is 00:22:36 but she wore plaid again, and so now, like, everyone's setting the stage for next. It's like the third time in a row she's wore plaid. You think there's going to be bagpipes on the next album? I was thinking it's giving, you know, the Highland Fling. For sure. What could it be? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:22:51 But her outfits always are some sort of indicator. What was your theory last time? Well, with the VMA outfit, I thought, did I say it looked like she was going to do a Fortnite concert? Yeah. Because she looked like a Fortnite gamer character character and like fortnight the song yeah she's definitely got something up her I don't have a theory about plaid because I seriously don't get it you said something that was a good theory but no she's definitely sending a message because you don't need to wear plaid to
Starting point is 00:23:21 a football game like you just need to wear red no and plaid like why so much but though it is this the season for plaid like maybe it's no that's really crazy every time you're spotted out every outfit is plaid yeah I don't know what it means but let's talk about the sparkle freckles now I think the universe is really divided on it and I and I actually understand because I've seen a bunch of pictures of the theckles. And in some of the really high res close up photos, it just looks like splotches on her face. But in some of like the really bright iridescent photos, it looks so fucking cute. Like she's just like kissed by the sun. She's lit from within.
Starting point is 00:24:00 So I think it's really about the photos. I wonder how they looked in person. So yeah, some of the photos, like it looks a little weird, but some of the photos, it looks sick. Yeah, I think it's really about the photos. I wonder how they looked in person. So yeah, some of the photos, like it looks a little weird, but some of the photos, it looks sick. Yeah, I think it's adorable. And I think it's really fun. It's giving like Coachella at Arrowhead. It's just like a way to have fun with your makeup,
Starting point is 00:24:15 though that's not something she ever does. She barely changes her lipstick color. So like, it's really shocking that she could be moved to do something like this. Do you think it's another symbol? Like freckles plus kilt. Like like is she becoming an Irish redhead is that I don't think I don't think that the sparkly freckles are any sort of I think she just like wanted to have fun and it came up on my TikTok like the founder of it's like a very small um like woman-owned brand she just like sells
Starting point is 00:24:42 these sparkle like freckle tattoo type thing she freaking, she has no idea how Taylor got it. Like she was freaking out. I feel like when it's something you want to do for fun, you like do it with a friend. Like I could have seen like her and Brittany doing it together. I feel like it's a symbol and you know, I'm not about like that symbol life. I'm like tailored warisk kilt. Cause she felt like wearing a kilt. Like I'm just feeling the symbolism.'s uh that's interesting to hear from you because I actually don't think it's a symbol I think everything is and do any of the Swifties think it's a symbol I know everybody was just like cute joy like fun choice playing with your makeup but you're right she's not a swirly who ever plays with her makeup she's been wearing
Starting point is 00:25:19 the same like winged liner red lipstick like since she was 16 she doesn't change her hair she's like very classic in her look she's had the same look like I feel like it's right in front of us like she's telling us something like maybe her next album's called sun-kissed she had a lot of Florida references oh so the game by the way the Chiefs won Travis played like the best he's ever played like literally telling everyone to eat his ass. Like, retire who? No, he had so many catches. He crushed it.
Starting point is 00:25:48 But it's also good luck tailored. Yes, and tailored finally returns, and, like. And he plays well. She's, like, the anti-Jessica. I'm so sorry, by the way, to Jessica Simpson. Like, you are the reference for this, and I wish I had a better one, because I love you, but it's you.
Starting point is 00:26:02 So, you know, everyone on the internet, like if you care, is talking about how Jessica Simpson and her husband like are most likely getting divorced. They haven't been seen together in a while. She hasn't worn a ring in a year. And she sold their like LA marital home. You told me some of this. And while it all is pointing to divorce,
Starting point is 00:26:21 like there's really no other direction that it looks like. I hold space for Jessica Simpson, like living a sort of chaotic existence. And that things that she does like might not make sense to the lay person. Well, speaking of things that might not make sense to the lay person, I literally was tagged in a TikTok this morning. Somebody put together you know Jessica Simpson has refollowed John Mayer on Instagram and had started liking his photos like around the time that her marital home was put up for sale the end of 2023 like somebody did a full-blown investigation too obvious but she is kind of obvious like he
Starting point is 00:26:59 yeah she is like she wouldn't have a fin. She like probably doesn't even realize people can see it or it might be tracking. Yes. He does not follow her back. Yeah. I feel like he probably closed the book there. Yeah. And he like dates like only like the youngest of the youngest girls. Like Jessica Simpson, I think would be far too old for him. Yeah. He's like dating Kiernan Shipka.
Starting point is 00:27:21 I saw that. They're like two different people than they were when they dated at this point. It's like if they met, like they'd have to introduce themselves to each other. They're strangers. Yeah. Okay, but back to the game. I just wanted to share something
Starting point is 00:27:32 because I did watch it and Travis played so great. So happy for him, like really crushed him. I'm so glad my Travi made it to the big game. You can't talk about Travi in the game without that. I know. But there was such a cute moment. do you know um Taylor's backup you might probably don't because like you refuse to engage in any eras to a concert until you see it I saw a man and his brother and his mother okay so Taylor's backup dancer Cameron Saunders is like she has a lot of backup dancers but he's the one that
Starting point is 00:28:00 everybody loves he's so cute and anytime there's like a role for the backup dancer like he does it I think he's like definitely Taylor's favorite. Teacher's pet. And he happens to be from Kansas City and his brother for like the longest time was on the Chiefs as like a really good, not famous, but like really good stable defensive player. It was one of those players
Starting point is 00:28:17 like you don't really know his name, but he just like does his job. Yeah. And last night, I guess I didn't even realize that his brother had gotten traded to the Saints and he was playing Kansas City last night, and they were just talking on the, because the brother got like a good tackle, they were talking on TV about, oh, you know, his brother is Taylor's backup dancer, and they actually cut to Taylor, and she's like, that's my backup dancer's brother,
Starting point is 00:28:37 you could actually read her mouth saying that, but then, like something, he had like a career first, they were literally, as they were talking about him, was so weird Kansas City threw the ball and they missed it but before the ball hit the ground Cameron Saunders who is not he doesn't make catches he just tackles he caught the ball and started running and like he really first of all it was a turnover and by the way he's enormous like I think it said they have his weight on the tv which couldn't be I can never he weighs 330 pounds okay 330 so his job is really to be like a brick wall. Yeah, and you're not doing a lot of running in that role. You're just tackling.
Starting point is 00:29:11 And so, oh my God, he was so cute. It was a career first catch, like running, running. And he was amazing. Like he was running, he was tackling people. And it was so, the whole thing, like the world revolves around Taylor Swift. Like it was really crazy. They were just talking about him.
Starting point is 00:29:24 And he's not a player who gets talked about a lot because he's just doing his job. And, like, oh, my God, it was the best moment. And then since everyone was talking about him, ESPN started posting all these videos. Like, Cameron, the brother who's the backup dancer, was at the game. And him and, you know, it was just really cute. That's really sweet. It was. So did you like her outfit?
Starting point is 00:29:42 I'm so glad. Oh, I liked her outfit, yes. I don't know, I don't think it was the right venue for it. Like, that's very much like dinner in New York with the girls or a date night. But, like, I feel like her game day outfits are always, like, really kind of relatable in a sense. Like, she's always wearing, like, gear. Yeah, yeah. Very wags of her.
Starting point is 00:30:02 And so this was just, like, high fashion Vivian Westwood for what yeah I liked it actually um me too I feel like it didn't get a lot of love but I like I don't love it but I do like it like arbitrarily zoomed out like I think the outfit is cute do I think it's appropriate for where she was like kind of no I don't know but sometimes like the wags get super glam like you can't put them in a box. Sometimes it is gear. Sometimes it's like glam gear. But sometimes it's like, we're just looking gargi today. My favorite wag attire, if any of the wags are listening and they care what I think, is glam gear. Me too.
Starting point is 00:30:35 Me too. Like looking high fashion, like you got like a red Chanel jacket. But I think it also depends if it's an afternoon game or a night game. Because if it's an afternoon game, like I kind of love like a gear, cute t-shirt with some cool jeans and like cash. And like, I don't know, a Chanel bag.
Starting point is 00:30:50 Yeah. It must be fun. Yeah. So, but this was a night game. So she like brought out the heels. Who do you think is the best dressed wag? Oh,
Starting point is 00:30:59 Kristen Juszczyk. Olivia Coppo. She, I was going to say Olivia Coppo too, but like Kristen Juszczyk gets extra points because she literally makes it from scratch. Yeah, because she made it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:09 Yeah, I agree. Also a little more tailored news, 1B, is that Taylor is now the richest female musician with a net worth of $1.6 billion, usurping Rihanna at $1.4 billion. So Forbes has just updated Taylor's net worth which makes her the richest female musician it also makes her the richest um I think musician cross-gender whose money solely comes from music potentially right that's why it makes her
Starting point is 00:31:40 surpassing Rihanna that much more impressive because obviously like music wise like Taylor Swift is going to be making more money for music, but Rihanna like literally owns a billion dollar global brand. Like it's insane. Yeah. So the fact that she was able to do that through music is so crazy. And I know like these stats like matter to Taylor and I'm happy for her. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:58 And especially for so long, it was crazy that she was not a billionaire. Not until one year ago, but Selena was one year ago but selena was one year ago she became a billionaire and now she's the richest female musician um but i'm just so glad that she's like in these combos which she should have been for a long time yeah yeah and i love like forbes and their nosiness when it comes to people's money. And so I appreciate them staying on top of her net worth because like I do wonder. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:26 So our next story is one of our favorite subjects. Food? No. Oh, wait. Oh, I'm sorry. No, I have to say something because I was just reminded of something. And we did talk about how last week,
Starting point is 00:32:39 Jackie and I were obviously off Thursday and Friday for Rosh Hashanah, but Jackie had the brilliant idea because we know you guys missed us so much and we couldn't record an episode that on Friday just as like a little treat we would re-release an old episode of like an iconic toast episode we chose the one Robert Flats that's one people are always quoting to us about the one time I thought like Rascal was a name and it just was like a fabulous episode um so we re-released it the reception was so positive but I wanted to say something like one I'm so glad you guys liked it we are gonna do that
Starting point is 00:33:04 like on days off you know we love a federal holiday we are you know gonna go back in the vault and reshare old episodes it's so funny to hear our pop culture takes and how different we talk and look oh my god um so sound off in the comments like what your favorite episode is and we'll start re-releasing them like on random days off um but I needed to say the one thing we have to do moving forward is we have to record just like an intro for these Toast to History episodes because so many people were like I listened to pretty much most of the episode without realizing that it wasn't new and I was like oh Taylor Swift has a new album because Robert Flatt's episode was the day Evermore dropped like I was cracking up so hard to be just
Starting point is 00:33:37 I needed to tell you that like online or look at the title when it was called but by the way we wouldn't name a title it said toast herstory Robert Flats original original air date yeah no I thought we made it clear but some people just like they love us they just press play like they don't give a fuck okay we'll record an intro after this and maybe we'll write a song I'm so glad we're doing our toast herstory one step closer to Travi being my last name. Okay, so it's for days off, ready? Okay. So what'd you say, the first line?
Starting point is 00:34:09 I'm so glad we're doing our toaster story. We are almost back with Jackson Turdy. Like, we're coming back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I like it, I like it. No, don't try and do more than that. that like we can barely get the first two lines this is our creative process turdy can't stymie the process so true you can't stymie the process can't oh stymie is another good word it is but it reminds me of stye which I don't like. Have you ever had a Stye?
Starting point is 00:34:46 I feel like you haven't. I feel like I have not, but I feel like I have. Like I've definitely had Phantom Stye. I like oddly had a lot of Styes growing up and I've gotten like a couple in my adult life and like they are debilitating. They are horrible. Yeah, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:35:04 If you have a Stye today, like just know we're thinking of I'm sorry. If you have a stye today, like, just know we're thinking of you. If you have a stye today, like, don't try that stuff from the drugstore called stye. It's horrible. Just put a warm tea bag on your eye. It'll go away. Yeah. And some sunglasses for the rest of us. And also, like, wash your face, you know?
Starting point is 00:35:21 Wash your face. Our next story, one of our favorite subjects intimacy on set and you're doing what now what who's doing what andrew garfield reveals that his sex scene with florence pew went further than intended when filming their new movie we live in time horrible title for a movie like seriously what's it called we live in time it's bad what is it we live in a time like i said i have no idea passion between andrew garfield and his co-star farns pew heated up when the cameras weren't rolling but not exactly on purpose he detailed one particularly racy scene he and florence film that went quote a little bit further than they
Starting point is 00:36:03 intended the 41 year old explained that the sex scene was captured on a closed set meaning only a very small amount of people were in attendance for the sake of the actor's privacy he said in a discussion at the 92nd street Y um I just feel like that's important to know he said quote we were getting into it as it were and we go a little bit further than we were meant just because we never heard cut and it was feeling safe. He went on to detail the two actors' methods as they continued rehearsing the choreographed moment, saying, quote, and we're kind of like,
Starting point is 00:36:32 okay, we'll go to the next thing and the next thing, we'll let this progress and we'll just carry on. At a certain point, both of us, I feel like we were telepathically saying to each other, this definitely feels like a long take. Then he noted that he looked up to see the camera operator was not even filming the passionate moment between himself and flow um he shared i look up and in the corner is stewart and our boom operator stewart has the camera by his side and is turned into the wall so i guess they just thought like they were like
Starting point is 00:36:59 going at it for fun here's the Celebrities will like share tidbits like this and then also like straight to your face be like, no, it's not weird like to make out with a random person when you're married. Like that's part of the job. They're always telling us like it's not weird. It's not weird. It's not weird. It's part of the job.
Starting point is 00:37:15 It's part of the job. It's part of the job. And then something like this will be said and I'm like, it's weird. It's weird. You literally can't convince me it's not. Actors are weird people. Like were they both single during this instance? I feel like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Because if I were one of their partners, like, and I heard this, that's cheating. Like, it's already so fucking weird. But the fact that, like, they kept going. Why didn't they haircut, but the camera guy put his camera down, and, like, they're still going at it? No, and by the way, so they did all this extra work, and it wasn't even caught on tape right like maybe sometimes I could see how like intimacy like would go a little more but that's just the actors like really feeling the
Starting point is 00:37:51 role and whatever and it's like okay so get that on camera and like we'll incorporate that and the improvisation into the film this is just really like the fact that this happened like it is what it is right we can't we can't you know change that the sharing yeah but I feel like if it happened and they didn't share like it was secretive like that also makes it weird like the whole thing is weird this is just a weird thing that happens that they want us to wrap our heads around and think is normal. And I think for most of us, it's not. No, it's not. And I guess like I really can see if you like work in a sitcom
Starting point is 00:38:33 and like it's very PG and like you just kiss. Like I can see that becoming routine, you know, and it's so analytical about the lights. But the more and more things that I watch, like there is so much, like, pretty graphic sex in everything. Like, literally, Florence Pugh had a sex scene in Oppenheimer. Like, so unnecessary.
Starting point is 00:38:53 They put sex everywhere. Like, really graphic. And I'm not talking about just, like, kissing. I'm sorry. Being naked and, like, in these types of positions, like, that I don't think you could ever get used to. The kissing, oh, my fake husband on a sitcom, you know, young Sheldon. A hundred percent. And what's funny, it's like, audiences aren't think you could ever get used to the kissing oh but my fake husband on a sitcom you know a hundred percent and what's funny it's like audiences aren't asking for this I feel like
Starting point is 00:39:09 it's constantly voiced upon us and we're getting just used to more and more sex scenes like longer more graphic like more skin more bits yeah and it's them like pushing it on us when it's like you would think they'd be the ones to be like you know what let's just leave it to your imagination there is like a lot of unnecessary sex and nudity I feel like seriously the nudity in Oppenheimer was so unrelated to the storyline like yeah I guess like Oppenheimer had a chick on the side like okay yes he should you you could show them in bed like there's just a reason to see like it's a movie about a bomb and a war like yeah it's unique unique energy unique New York unique energy so um I just hope they were single it's all no and if you're an actress like who doesn't like there are some actresses who have hard lines like they won't do nudity um I feel
Starting point is 00:40:03 like now more than ever like your options are definitely limited. Like now when I think back on the fact that in Sex and the City, like Carrie Bradshaw, who obviously Sarah Jessica Parker had a line. She was like, I'm not being nude at all. It's actually crazy that she was a star of that show, given what the show is about and the contents of the show and all the other women and their sex scene. The fact that she never showed nudity it's honestly it's impressive
Starting point is 00:40:26 yeah I don't think you could get away with that today no I don't think so I don't think you could helm a show with sex in the title and be a budding actress not someone who like we want you in our movie because people are going to watch it we know you like someone right like Zendaya was the only one in Euphoria who didn't do nudity and that's because she's Zendaya and she can say and they want her in their show. And if it was someone who doesn't have an audience or fans, they'd be like, okay, we can find someone else who's down to do it and doesn't have an audience and fans.
Starting point is 00:40:53 Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Okay, I'm over. Yeah. Keep telling us it's not weird. It is. It is.
Starting point is 00:41:03 Are you ready for our next story? Number three. Number? Yeah. Brittany Cartwright started secretly hooking up with Jax Taylor's pal, Julian Sensely, shortly after their separation. So the divorce between Jax and Brittany, every day we get some new stuff, but this was kind of the most sensational thing that I've heard.
Starting point is 00:41:24 Brittany Cartwright started secretly hooking up with one of her estranged husband's Jax Taylor's pals shortly after their separation page six can exclusively reveal they can confirm that after Jax and Brittany announced their split in February she began a casual physical relationship with basketball player turned actor Julian Sensley who used to work the door at Tom tom oh yeah page six was told that the two of them only ever hung out privately and that their romance is now over an insider tells page six that sensely and his now fiancee who have a child have been on and off and we're going through a rough time when he and britney were intimate so there's a lot of layers of bits here like one he's a profession was a professional basketball player so like obsessed that's cool
Starting point is 00:42:05 he's friends with Jax obsessed he worked for Tom Tom um but that pretty much Britney started like hooking up with his friend after they split good I love to see Britney out here just like doing whatever she wants she was married to someone who like seriously did whatever he wanted throughout the course of their marriage and like now that she has no ties to him besides their kid but I mean like she has no loyalty or obligation to him like do it literally do whatever you want yeah every time I see her doing something I'm like good and Jax is really like being crazy like you know they have a podcast together um but they aren't talking so Jax has been like releasing solo episodes and like he just like no one had heard from him and then he released an episode like why your partner might be ghosting you.
Starting point is 00:42:46 Like something like whatever. Like what? That's really crazy. Also. And Brittany was like sorry like the podcast is like a little. When he released that episode she was like we're working on it. Like sorry. I feel like if you're like paying close attention to that podcast.
Starting point is 00:43:00 It's probably like filled with tea. But I just don't think that many people are paying attention. No I know. But also don't forget that in February when they were splitting up like he was spotted out and about with that little girl not little girl younger lady yeah so like I forgot yeah just to put it into context well that's good to like be in a relationship but how great that like this guy she just happened to like get involved with like will piss off at jack's like that's just kind of we're all we're all winning here yeah i didn't put enough milk in my coffee oh here let me it's a little it's a little strong i ran out of half and half so i'd use charlie's milk not as kind of like kind of something major
Starting point is 00:43:43 that happened in my life. You know, have you tried the Chobani creamers? They're like, went super viral. I see everyone talking about them. I feel like I tried it once
Starting point is 00:43:50 and I didn't like love it so I didn't give it more chances and I should have. So I tried it too. I like bought a random one at Hazelnut because that's what I,
Starting point is 00:43:56 and it was like seriously puke like, and then Satchel Cratchit was like turd. Trust and believe, get the purple one. I think it's like, I don't even know
Starting point is 00:44:04 what the flavor is. Sweet cream? Sweet cream, yeah. I've've seen like Raven's always talking about it delicious okay I'll get it and like for me I'm always looking for something to mask the flavor of coffee like you put the tiniest splash in here it's water like it's amazing yeah I just need a little something and I'll have to go get some half and half but I think the grocery stores are like cleared out oh by the way did you like stock up on Zach went yesterday I wanted to get some beans just in case I feel like pulled to make a chili a chili yeah um I'll try and pick up a few items later today it's crazy out there I know I mean even just like the rain we just had so much weather here like
Starting point is 00:44:40 can't really be outside or anything yeah it's just a bummer um Jax and Brittany are you know what like good you'd love to see Brittany out here just like living her life after being subjected to what I can only imagine was like the torture most torturous years of her life like for real yeah agreed and their divorce got like super contentious. He had been trying to get joint custody, right? Yes. And then he represented himself in court and said like, never mind. Yeah. Then he like put forth a motion to give Brittany full custody.
Starting point is 00:45:13 And then he said that it was an error in the paperwork and that he made a mistake. That he now wants joint? I don't know what he's going for, but that like, that was an error. He's now going for joint yeah so valley season two can't come fast enough that can't come fast enough sheena was on watch what happens live and andy was like you know what'd you do this summer like are you do you hang out or talk to sandoval she said no ariana no katie no she, no. She said, I have the worst relationship with Katie out of everyone. And he was like, have you been hanging out with the people from the Valley? And she was like, yeah, a lot.
Starting point is 00:45:51 And he was like, well, we see you on there. Like, he literally knows he's the producer. And she was like, we'll see. Well, we saw her on season one. Like, her and Lala go to the parties and stuff. It's just a matter of, like, how much involvement. But she doesn't, like, do confession. Right.
Starting point is 00:46:02 Like, that's up to the producers. Are you ready for our next story? No. Okay. It's the next story that's brought to you by Skims? Yes. Okay, when it comes to bras, like we all have different needs, right?
Starting point is 00:46:16 I feel like I definitely have more needs than the average woman because I have, you know, huge breasts. I've fluctuated in weight my whole life. So they're not like, you know, standing upright on their own at attention. So I just am always looking for real bras, you know, bras for real women. And I've found like over the years, seriously, no one's making good bras. And then Skims and their t-shirt bra, which seriously fixed my back problems. Now, anytime I need a bra,
Starting point is 00:46:38 like Skims is one of my places. I love their bras. Every single night I sleep in there, like I call it a relaxation bra. I think it's technically like the Jersey racer back bra. I love for all different, if I need like super, super like tough support, if I need more of a relaxed fit, but I can't just like not wear a bra, I love Skims. So they are comfortable, flattering. They've helped solve so many of my back problems and my breasts like really look gorgeous. That's at least that's what everyone's saying. So the bra that I got first, that was like my foray into Skims bras and that really helped with a lot of my back problems is the fits everybody t-shirt bra. It's really the best bra I've ever owned. They make my boobs look
Starting point is 00:47:13 so great. Keeps my natural shape. Um, and it doesn't have like a ton of padding that I just, I just need to boot like my boobs lifted. Like that's literally all I need. Um, I think what everyone really loves about Skims is they have so many sizes and really the key to a good bra is knowing your size and I know you think like you know your size you don't you don't the size system at Skims is so fabulous and there's truly sizes for everyone they go up to 30 they go from 30a to 46h so shop Skims bra at Skims.com and if you haven't yet be sure to let them you know know that we sent you after you place your order select podcast in the survey and select our show from the drop down menu.

Oh my God, yeah, you look so parge.
Starting point is 00:48:29 They have like really sick clothing. Can't, like seriously, everything I try from Hill House Home, like new categories, I'm obsessed with. We got the same dress. We've got a twin in it sometime,
Starting point is 00:48:38 the brown one. But I keep seeing everyone on TikTok wearing it. It's like kind of the dress of the season. Oh shit. Okay. And I got two super cute fall jackets. So cute. They also have really cute stuff for kids. So like you can match, like it's just kind of the dress of the season. Oh shit. Okay and I got two super cute fall jackets. So cute. They also have really

Starting point is 00:51:03 the snub which we have discussed and he shared his thoughts on like why she might have been snubbed and this is what he said then so his original comment to Andy encouraged quote everybody coming in and making country albums he concluded his thoughts by saying that he doesn't think necessarily an artist will or should get nominated solely for making country album he said quote sometimes a lot of great music is overlooked just because she made one, a country album. Just because I make one, I don't get any nominations. I think the CMA, they have their voting body
Starting point is 00:51:31 and they vote what they think should make it. Everybody loved that Beyonce made a country album. Nobody's mad about that. More so that, like, she didn't get into the country, the world of country. He said, like, come play with us. Like, do the rounds, go to country radio, do interviews, be a part of the CMA family it's not just enough in his opinion to like release an album that's technically of the country genre right and also perhaps that's his opinion
Starting point is 00:51:55 but also like him just trying to make sense of why she wasn't nominated I think that's like I think I think his thought was like that was the CMA's reason for not including Beyonce. Right. Like just because you make a country album, like anyone can just decide to make a country album, doesn't mean you're going to get nominated for the country awards. Like you got to get in the mix a little bit. And to be honest, like I actually don't agree with that. Like if you release a country album, it should be eligible for country awards.
Starting point is 00:52:25 But do you agree with that being probably the reason why she wasn't nominated no because Beyonce doesn't have to do anything like she's fucking Beyonce like what she's gonna go to like uh a random radio station and start doing interviews like everybody else like she's Beyonce yeah not a random radio station but like there are things the Opry perform at the Opry that's a nice Beyonce I know but like that but like that's a prestigious thing to do. She doesn't have to start at the bottom. Well, I don't think Beyonce made this album
Starting point is 00:52:51 to get nominated. I want to say that. I think it was like a statement. She released like a whole, you know, statement on why she, like she had her reasons because she's got her reasons. So I don't think Beyonce cares,
Starting point is 00:53:02 but like I do want to know why. And I don't think that this is the reason, want to know why like and I don't think that this is the reason like for real okay I think he put forth a decent theory though like not one that you or I had discussed and so then he's clarifying his comments on X because I think people he was getting like a lot of hate for talking about it I right so he said um he lauded Beyonce and how loyal her fans are he said I respect Beyonce I spend a lot of time supporting other artists I want everyone to win he said quote he could not let the media create a false narrative adding that he encouraged everyone to listen to
Starting point is 00:53:33 the interview instead of reading clickbait headlines you will hear my tone and intentions which were not negative I don't think his toner intentions were negative in this I think he was just like trying to make sense of something for people. Yeah and so for Beyonce fans like there is no reason why she shouldn't have been nominated so anyone trying to like come up with a reason it's like shut up you know. Right right it's a losing thing. Yeah and the thing is if you know Luke Bryan and you watch him on like American Idol he's like really a nice guy. Right. And he's not I don't think he's ever had like beef with another artist like he's really like very Hamish in his personal life he's like very generous I don't think he's ever had like beef with another artist like he's really like very Hamish in his personal life he's like very generous I don't think he's a bad person at all um I think he was just like talking and you know you're allowed to talk and I I do wonder what other
Starting point is 00:54:13 country artists think and he's one of the biggest ones and theorizing and also like not trying to just get like assume the worst about the CMAs because he's in the CMA you know universe and like he's not trying to make enemies on either side I think he was just talking about it which some people didn't like yeah no he's absolutely allowed to theorize just like all of us just and if anything he has more insight than any of us. Yeah. Yeah. Are you ready for our fifth and final story? Some exciting book to movie news. Wow, fifth and final.
Starting point is 00:54:52 It's all coming to an end. Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane. Don't know when I'll... Do you think that guy in the song was flying private? Who calls a plane a jet plane unless you're flying private? Correct. And he's like a big singer. He wrote his song. Was this song before his success?
Starting point is 00:55:10 I don't know. I feel like it was private. Maybe he just needed another syllable. Because I'm leaving on an airplane. Okay, wait. Now it's intentional. He's obviously wealthy in the song. And the girl should run after him. Yeah. Yeah. Now it's intentional. He's obviously wealthy in the song, and the girl should run after him.
Starting point is 00:55:25 Yeah. Yeah, get on the plane. Do you remember when somebody sampled that song? Who's? Because I'm leaving. Never going to come back again. She found somebody that does it better than he can. No more making you fly.
Starting point is 00:55:39 Is it like Jesse McCartney? Let me play it on a G5, G5. I'm leaving. I think it is Jesse McCartney it is right it is yeah what's the name of the song G5 it should be Lee leaving okay also good that doesn't leave it by Jesse McCartney are you ready for our final story I'm not gonna ask you I'm just gonna make get you ready like this isn't you no longer have a choice on this Tuesday jeez okay I'm foisting it upon you let's hear it Colleen Hoover's novel Reminders
Starting point is 00:56:13 of Him sets a movie adaptation at Universal for Valentine's Day 2026 her worst book give us November 9th first give us Ugly Love first. Give us. Reminders of Him was actually the last Colleen Hoover book I ever read. I have not read Reminders of Him. Because like I Colleened too close to the sun for myself after November 9th. That was like too much Colleen for me. I need to remember.
Starting point is 00:56:42 Reminders. The name of the guy in the book. His name bothered me so much. Her name was Kenna, and his name was like... Ledger Ward. Ledger! Ledger Ward is the real juror. Okay, now I'll be checking my phone to look something up.
Starting point is 00:56:57 Three missed calls, so urgent. All from potential spam. Leave me alone. That's really crazy to call me three times. I know. Get a life. My potential spam is out of control and like what lists am I on I don't know I'm and I feel like I can sense I got added
Starting point is 00:57:14 to one recently because like the tone has changed something about like people looking for a job and they think I'm just it's not good are you hiring apparently um Ledger Ward here is the here is the synopsis it's described as a transformative feature film about motherhood forgiveness and the power of one love to heal even the most shattered heart the story follows Kenna Rowan who returns to her hometown this is something that Jenna Maroney would star in who returns to her hometown after serving Jackie we that Jenna Maroney would star in. Who returns to her hometown after serving. Jackie, we can't just move past that statement. So true.
Starting point is 00:57:50 Who returns to her hometown after five years in prison for a tragic mistake. She hopes to reconnect with her young daughter, though everyone is intent on keeping them apart. Only one person in the area hasn't shunned her, and that's the local bar owner, Ledger Ward, who becomes an important part of kenna's life the novel published aka they start fucking the novel published in 2022 has sold over six and a half million copies globally and has been translated into 45 languages i'm sorry colleen
Starting point is 00:58:17 hoover is so impressive like and like honestly this book sucks like if you're gonna like read colleen hoover november 9th i but like six and a half million people. Like those are all the people who like loved It Ends With Us. Loved Verity. Loved November 9th. And then. What do you think is her biggest book? It Ends With Us.
Starting point is 00:58:34 It Ends With Us. Yeah. And then plus the movie makes it her biggest book. I think number two maybe is It Starts With Us. But then Verity comes after that. I would say. But like people fall down a Colleen Hoover rabbit hole and then start reading all of her old works.
Starting point is 00:58:47 So like reminders of him, like six and a half million people like are at that place. They say that more than 10 million copies of It Ends With Us has been sold. I feel like it's more. And that's like an old, like not old, but it's before the movie came out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:02 Let me look up Verity. I think it goes It Ends With Us and then Verity. I don't know if It Starts With Us was that popular. No, but like verity i think it goes it ends with us and then verity i don't know if it starts with us was that popular no but like oh verity it says over three and a half million when was that it's gemini google ai over people said you can't always trust it everyone's trying to ruin my good time that's why yeah well well well I'm just looking sorry what do you think is yeah justice for Layla I thought that was a decent book that's like the only one I haven't read she like tried to get spooky and put a ghost in there well it's October so if you want to read a ghost book read Layla and it was a redheads book so there's an episode on it when I was watching the Kansas City game last night I was like watching
Starting point is 00:59:43 cable which I don't watch a lot and there was a commercial for like free forms 30 31 days of ox what no what was it like you remember how like ABC family yeah like spooky nights yeah Halloween and then they do the 12 days of Christmas the warmth that commercial like seriously put in me I was immediately like seven and we were laying in the den like what we used to watch all those movies like I love that they're still doing that for the kids yeah speaking of cable we were kind of on cable last night we didn't even talk about this oh my god not me getting dms being like they're talking about you on the MSNBC Jen Psaki show I'm like it's Jen Psaki excuse me is it I think so the p is silent the p is silent I believe Psaki I was like immediately like oh great what did she say about us like
Starting point is 01:00:26 yeah no scary and you texted me by the way I didn't get one message um but you Jackie I don't think you have your messages on so I have my messages limited you can't reply to my stories not Jackie complaining she doesn't get any messages because you literally have limited if you follow me you can go to my profile and hit message who does that like everybody just responds to stories I don't have response to stories it's not good for my mental health by the way do you sis but then don't complain that like you don't get messages yeah no I still get people the people can find a way to reach me plus I have my dms open with thousands from over the years oh not
Starting point is 01:00:58 the thousands in my community we can reach each other but yeah it's not good for my mental health positive or negative comments like of course you think negative I don't want to see people like reacting to my stories but it's also like all that affirmation isn't good either I don't want to like post a story and then be waiting like what are people writing to me like I just want to let it sit love that well they had said Psaki's talking about you and I was like great like it just can't be good it can't and then I listened to it and it was actually not sacky like she had a like a very millennial coded swirly on to like talk about Kamala doing call her daddy and like the impact of traditional like legacy media versus new media and then she was like what other
Starting point is 01:01:34 shows do you think would be good and the girl was like the toes like that's what everybody needs to be doing and then it got me thinking like okay let's say we get reached out to like we're gonna say yes right like not that by way, no one's reaching out. We're just, like, having a hypothetical game. Like, we would say yes to either, no to both. Like, what would we do? I think the decision would be the same for both of them. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:54 However, I don't think if we did one, the other one probably wouldn't come on. Wouldn't. I think that's what we were talking about yesterday. Like, will Trump do call her daddy? Like, because Alex said that she put the call out. talking about yesterday like will Trump do call her daddy like because Alex said that she put the call out and I don't think it would make sense for him to do the same show as Kamala but I then think that his team would start thinking about like that is a good audience to reach women that sect um to do a show that's similar in demographic yeah and then the question is which one right literally us like sorry um but I thought maybe
Starting point is 01:02:29 Kamala would do that because you're right like they wouldn't both do the same one but if they were like Bernie Sanders and Trump both went on Theo Vaughn back to back and like Theo Vaughn also like the president of the team stirs on this week like he's at his lunch lady election yeah of course but no I mean recently he's getting like really into the election but Bernie Sanders and Trump like that's not the same as Kamala and Trump like no but it's like not that different like they're Bernie's not running for president but like he did yeah but no that's just no I don't think they really could ever do the same I don't think it's good great strategy yeah and the thing that the beauty of podcasts are there's so many it's true and the
Starting point is 01:03:06 beauty of like being that big of a platform is like you're bringing the listeners with you like it really doesn't matter how big the show you go on that's true well no but you do want to reach if a podcast has like a huge millennial women audience and that's the demographic you want to reach like no actually there's value in going on a big yeah you know show that's true that's true we'll just we'll let you know crazy time we'll let you know if anybody reaches out to us I actually didn't see that being what not that it's happened at all or probably won't happen but like when we were talking about it yesterday that wasn't my like next logical jump is that he would do a show of the similar elk but that is good strategy and I learned that on Jen that is good yeah yeah yeah with a swirly who is obviously obsessed with
Starting point is 01:03:51 the toast even though she kept calling us the morning toast like girl she might have left a while ago but still thanks for um thanks for the support and the shout out oh my god I've never seen anybody make a hard hand like that I'm trying to do like new hard hands because I know like this I love this one but I wanted to do like I love this but you know how the kids do it these days. I can't do it. Actually I've got crazy fingers I can do like more than an octave on the piano I could probably do it. Wait I feel like I'm having a stroke. It's like oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah it's index and middle oh like this like this that's cute and then when they don't have both hands Jackie. I feel like a claw in this stuffed animal machine at an arcade.
Starting point is 01:04:27 Jackie, when they don't have both hands, then they just go like this. That's what I was doing to you the other day. Claudia. I'm sorry, hard hands are always going to be Selena Gomez. Claudia. Okay, but sorry, Selena Gomez is always going to own the hard hands. Like this is the OJ. It's also tailored.
Starting point is 01:04:43 Okay, do you think we're making a heart? Okay, I'm going to go over to the. Like this is the OJ. It's also tailored. Okay. Do you think we're making a heart? Okay. I'm going to go over. I'm going to go over to the edge of my wall because that's where. I'll go. We'll see. We'll see how we did.
