Starting point is 00:00:00 Good morning, girlies, it's the Toast. It's Jackson Claude and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly, it's the Toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to the toast. Happy Thursdays, Dairies. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:00:32 Good morning. You know, good morning got cut. Oops. It faded out, I'll say, because we have a theme song. If you're listening to today's episode, you've just heard our Pargielicious theme song. And there wasn't really space for Good Morning Millennials anymore. I personally was shoving it out the door, because I like to evolve and change and grow.
Starting point is 00:00:50 I love it. And I just felt like it was limiting us, it was holding us back from our destiny. I still do the crunch every day just for remembrance. You and Ben still are holding us to that crunch, and I love the crunch, and I'm not trying to get rid of the crunch. Welcome Joey Camasta. That's the last time I'll say your to get rid of the crunch. Yeah. Welcome Joey Camasta. Thank you. That's the last time I'll say your name right because I just can't stop saying Joey Camaster.
Starting point is 00:01:08 Yeah, say it all the way how you like it. And I was thinking I say everything like Taylor, Celine or you're the only person on earth who does that more than I do. Yeah, well it's a big East Coast Italian thing. Everyone adds an ER to anything that needs it. It's an Italian thing? I don't know. I think it's just like a dialect thing in like Long Island, New Jersey.
Starting point is 00:01:25 I'm obsessed. I'm Italian? Yeah, you are. Are you Italian? I think so. Yeah, a little bit. I think so. I'm a mutt.
Starting point is 00:01:33 I'm a little Italian, a little Irish, a little sassy. A little bit of everything. Yeah. Well, welcome to The Toast. You have co-hosted The Toast so many times, but you and I haven't co-hosted The Toast in like five years. Many moons. Not since the pink backdrop.
Starting point is 00:01:46 Oh, right. When we were out in Long Island City. Yes. Good times. With the palm trees. With the palm trees. How we have evolved. I know, and now we have
Starting point is 00:01:53 Now we're doing naughty neutrals. And you're so naughty neutrals today. You know what, cause I saw your set yesterday and I was like, oh my God, how chic. So I had to get glam today. I got a haircut like 9 a.m. And I got, you know, did my makeup. I had to put a cute outfit on to be tonal
Starting point is 00:02:07 because everything looks so chic and aesthetic. And I didn't want to show up here in a hoodie and like, you know, sweatpants. I understand, but it was hard because it's raining. I thought about wearing a sweatshirt and then I was like, I'll do a sweater. Yeah. I'll keep it to a sweater.
Starting point is 00:02:18 Yeah, this is a toast cardigan, one of my faves that we've ever made. Well, welcome to the toast. Will you give everyone like a little, if you're new welcome to the toast. Will you give everyone a little, if you're new here to the toast, not you, you're not new here, we'll just let everyone know. Who are you? Well, I'm a podcaster, a comedian.
Starting point is 00:02:32 Yeah. I was a makeup, a career makeup artist for many moons. Do you still do makeup? I'll do it if the timing's right. You know what I mean? It's like, I'm not out there getting jobs and showing my portfolio and going on, things like that. But if something pops up that's salacial,
Starting point is 00:02:46 like it's a celebrity I wanna work with or a brand I'm trying to get something free from. What was the last makeup you did? I mean, I do anything for MTV. So I do a lot of, you know, all the Jersey Shore. I'll do anything for the Paramount Pluses. I'll do Dexter, things for Dexter. Dexter? Yeah, anything Paramount.
Starting point is 00:03:02 I do a lot of that stuff right now. Okay, cool. And you do a podcast of that stuff right now. Okay, cool. And you do a podcast with Snooki also. And you used to do Snooki's makeup. Yeah, that's how we met. I still do it for you now. I was going to say, if you guys are doing a live show and she needs her face done, you're going to do it, right?
Starting point is 00:03:15 Oh yeah, I'm getting on duty, jumping back on duty. Honestly, Claudia needs to learn to do my makeup for those shows. I know. Or vice versa. Yeah, it's hard. I'll do anything for her all the time. But we have a podcast that's happening with Snooki and Joey. Every Friday we. Yeah, it's hard. It's hard. But yeah, I'll do anything for her all the time. But yeah, we have a podcast that's happening with Snooki and Joey.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Every Friday we're finding podcasts to be found. It's such a good podcast. You guys have been doing it for so long. It's over 10 years. It's crazy. We were the original crew when the Girls Next Door were doing podcasting. Seriously. And I also had KFC on this week from Marshall, who's also been like, we're in, I know we're
Starting point is 00:03:42 all like, I'm in podcasting for eight years, but let's just call it 10. Like we're the decade long podcasting club. Like we've been here for a while. Yeah, well you didn't know what it was. I thought it was a radio show. I mean, I guess it like, it sort of was, and it was just like a low lift to also upload it on demand. So sure. Yeah. Let's do that. This is like, the toast I feel like is like the SNL of the podcasting world. So like, you know how there's lifers, like you know, like John Hamm has hosted SNL
Starting point is 00:04:05 how many times? I feel like I'm a lifer. I'm a feel like I'm a lifer because I have this probably my fifth or sixth time co-hosting. Yeah, and you're a fan favorite, like most requested, TRL, like everybody's gonna be. I'm like the JT at the Justin Timberlake's of the toast. It's true.
Starting point is 00:04:18 And you're also a professional, which makes my job easy because you're a great podcaster, hence the 10 years in the biz. Ten year. Is that what that means? Ten year, does it mean over 10 years? Like, actually no, but it should. That's what I always sound, so I thought it had to be 10,
Starting point is 00:04:30 but then like, I could be tenured working as a lunch lady for eight years. Yeah, no, but then there are some professors, I think they get tenured early, and that's a bit of a scoundrel. And then there's some professors working 20 years who aren't tenured. That's like the, that's also like,
Starting point is 00:04:42 I guess I have word association, if that's a real thing, but that same thing like the Alzheimer's I was thinking means old-timer syndrome like it was like You know something like an old-timer gets. Yeah. No, no, it's not so far-fetched for both Alzheimer's and tenure I think if it sounds the same it should have the same meaning. Let's just ask chat GBT Like what does qualify someone to get tenure? I just like now I'm here. I'm curious if we have to like a audition for it To us. Yes. Are we tenured artists? I think I'm tenured at the toast. I watched them backwards. Which means I'm due for a sabbatical.
Starting point is 00:05:12 That's what it means. Yeah, well you get, another thing, you're probably going to, when did you go on pregnancy leave? Not for a while. Like I'll be here for a while, but we are taking a bit of a sabbatical this summer. Oh good. And so we're just working less, which I'm very excited about. Oh, it's a permanent academic appointment
Starting point is 00:05:27 that protects faculty from being dismissed without cause. Oh. Commonly after a probationary period of five to seven years at the institution. So we're coming up on eight years of toast, so we got a sabbatical. We gave ourselves one. I love it.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Yeah, same. You were just telling me you have big summer plans. What are you doing? Well, you know, I'm just going to do me. That's what I'm doing this summer. Okay, I'm just gonna focus on passion projects. It's not necessarily a gap year, but it's like It's like it's like I'm just gonna like, you know things I haven't done before like I want to I wanted to do like You know pottery making you know, there's like that's not what I thought you were gonna say. Well, I'm traveling not traveling a lot I'm just going to the Hamptons. Okay. Just Hamptons and then South Carolina. I'm going to Charleston for a little bit.
Starting point is 00:06:08 My sister and family lives there. I haven't seen them in a while. And, you know, that's a kiki coastal town. Yeah. That's a nice place to go. I've never been, but I think I would like it. Focus on cooking things and cocktail making and just, you know, being more present with my cooking. So, yes, in addition to being a tenured podcaster,
Starting point is 00:06:23 you are also an excellent chef. Yes. You do a lot of high quality cooking content on Instagram. Where did you learn how to cook? My father's a chef. Oh, are you Ben? You're literally Ben. I know, Ben's dad and I, we've,
Starting point is 00:06:37 we've kiki'd before talking about the biz. Not kikiing with Bruce. Talked about the biz and yeah, so I mean, I think that's what Ben and I have a lot in common. I have 4th of July is coming up very soon. Fork of July is coming up very soon. I was going to say, I think you mean fork of July. I know.
Starting point is 00:06:52 So I'm going to have to step it up a little bit to kind of compete with that. But yeah, I just love, you know, I always loved things. And I watched Food Network growing up. I used to sit home and, you know, stay home after school and just watch the Food Network. That's right. The Ana De Laurentiis. Who were your faves? I mean, back then it was, what's that guy had a crush on?
Starting point is 00:07:10 Bobby Flay? No, it was the other one. Emeril? No, he's like a, oh my God, he was so cute. Oh my God, I have to think of it. He has the restaurant in San Francisco. I'm sure people in the comments are like screaming into their phones.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Yes, no, I know who it is. They'll let us know. He's a cutie-pachootie though. Hold on, who is a Food Network chef? Mal. I still have a crush on him. Sometimes Chad GBT gives us like way too long of answers. They need to work on that.
Starting point is 00:07:38 I took a beta blocker today, so I can't remember. What exactly is a beta blocker? I didn't really take one. I think it's something for people that get stage fright. Like something about something stressful. But it's like, is X exactly is a beta blocker? I didn't really take one. I think it's something for people that get stage fright. Like, something that's about to go something stressful. But it's like, is Xanax a beta blocker? No, I think that's like a anti-psychotic, I think. I had to write something down.
Starting point is 00:07:54 Okay, wait, we have so many who has a restaurant in San Francisco. He is, we have so many questions for Chad GPT today. There's a T coming in, I think there's a letter T. T, okay, should I tell today. There's a T coming in. I think there's a letter T. T, okay. Should I tell GBT starts with a T? They're searching the web. Several mail shafts.
Starting point is 00:08:12 Tyler Florence. Tyler Florence. That's your boy, your boy Ty? Yes, Tyler Florence. I used to watch him religiously. Now I wanna see a picture. He's so cute. I love Giada De Laurentiis.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Of course, the African Tessa is my kiki queen. Paula Deen, I have a soft spot for, you know, a stick of butter in anything. Yeah. You know, I'm on board. And just to watch all those, you know, and Rachel Ray even. Well, how do you feel about Rachel Ray's current presence?
Starting point is 00:08:34 I don't know what's going on. I don't know what's going on. You know, I'm praying that everything's on the up. You know, she's OK, health-wise. You know, but you know, we all get sluggish looking sometimes. Yeah, and maybe. She's been in the game for she's tenured She is tenured and I feel like if she's putting out the videos, it's like her saying like I'm good. I'm working I'm fine. Maybe she just got like rich. I think I think it's mostly about her appearance and her like slurring words
Starting point is 00:08:57 Is it and also like what was coming out the content of what she was saying as well? Okay I don't know about anything about that, But I do know from a little inside scoop, I knew that she had alcoholism, you know, for a long time. Oh wow, a little inside scoop in the chef world. She's a drink on the job, I believe. Okay. I had to write it down. Well, I used to know her makeup artist,
Starting point is 00:09:18 her makeup artist used to tell me that she was a liger and drunk on set. This was years ago though, this was like, you know, 20 years ago. Yeah, cause also like the behavior in the videos could also just be chalked up to being drunk. Oh, maybe it could be the after effects of being... No, or just drunk.
Starting point is 00:09:30 Or she could be drunk. Like it was giving drunk. Yeah, so if it's giving drunk she probably had a little couple of nips of Pinot Grigio before the show started. Did you ever want to be a chef? You know what, I saw my... No, the thing is I love that food so much, it gives me so much joy, but using it as a career, like a real career,
Starting point is 00:09:47 like we have to work in a restaurant, I don't think a restaurant is for me. I mean, eventually, once I become a multi-trillionaire, I'll open restaurants in Vegas, I'll sell out for anything. Yeah, from the top level. Yeah, but I'm not sitting in a restaurant, I don't think I have it in me to be working
Starting point is 00:09:59 on the line in a restaurant. I don't think you do either. I could be, you know what I'd be good at? Like, you know, give like a consultant, like a restaurant. I don't think you do either. I could be, you know what I'd be good at? Like, you know, give like a consultant, like a restaurant consultant. Okay, and you give feedback. Yeah, like I think we need a critter-tay on this menu. I think we need like, you know,
Starting point is 00:10:13 maybe something with cilantro, or you know, a spicy margarita. I agree. My criticisms are like really like just base level, like I don't have high bar, like I want a chips and guac, you know? Why wouldn't you have that? Yeah, so I'm good at like telling people
Starting point is 00:10:28 what they should be doing. Okay. But I don't have the gusto to start it myself. That's definitely like a dream job, you know? It's probably like only there's a few successful ones in the world. Yeah, we can make it. But like to be a restaurant critic where you give just feedback.
Starting point is 00:10:43 That'd be the best job ever, because I can go to all different restaurants and just be like, you know, I think this is what you should be doing, and then watch the fruits of my benefit, the benefits of my fruit, what is it? The fruits of your labor. The fruits of my labor grow.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Yeah, what are your favorite restaurants in the city? Monkey Bar's one of my favorites, have you been? No, I'm like very uncultured these days. It's like a classic New York, it's just they just do everything right. I love the Monkey Bar, I love, in Brooklyn I love Antigua Pesa, which is a fabulous place in Rome. They have a restaurant in Rome. Oh, Rome. Okay. Roma. What else am I loving? Avra is always good.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Avra is always good. As for a chubby gal, I like a clean eating. I know, I'll eat clean, but I eat a lot of it. Like I'll take down two branzino's if I need to be. No, additionally, as a chubby gal, like I just want like good healthy food, you know? But I guess it's hard to come by. Yeah, but however it's always good. You know, anything that's crisp,
Starting point is 00:11:37 I like things of a perfect restaurant, anywhere it has to have these elements. When I sit down, I need an ice cold cocktail with a creative cocktail menu where I can choose from the house cocktails and get inspired for what's to come for the meal. So if they have something, a good base cocktail menu that also does classics really well, that's great. I'm starting with an ice cold cocktail, maybe Martini. Then I'd like to start to munch on something fresh and raw, like a raw preparation, like a crudo.
Starting point is 00:12:01 Or a crudite. A crudite, a crudo, a shellfish tower, a char char. Oh, okay. A raw preparation of something, a chilled raw preparation of something fresh. Not a raw vegetable. A raw vegetable, can't be said that. And then I like to go into, you know,
Starting point is 00:12:15 the little appetizers and things that they have on the menu. I like to always try to fit in a pasta there. If I can't, if there's pasta on the menu, I'm gonna try it just because it's one of my favorite things. What's the Italian in you? At this point, I'm switching to wine now, and depending on what menu, I'm gonna try it just because it's one of my favorite things. What's the Italian in you? At this point, I'm switching to wine now, depending on what courses I'm taking. And I just like to try all the things.
Starting point is 00:12:31 And then end my meal with, then switch to an after dinner drink. Beautiful. You know how to live. Yeah, I like to have a little bit of everything. And if any restaurant does those things well, I'm down. Okay, easy to please. If any restaurants, and if any restaurant does those things well, I'm down. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Easy to please. If any restaurants want me to come and give them my advice, just let me know, hit me up. That would be so great. And you're also like an influencer, so you could also do like a little press for them. Yes. Make it like a bigger partnership.
Starting point is 00:12:57 Absolutely. We love partnerships. I'm all about partnerships. Yeah. Love that. Yeah. Yeah, I'm hungry. So maybe we should get into the episode.
Starting point is 00:13:04 So we could die. Let's crunch into the episode. But we have a lot of stories to talk about today and I'm hungry. So maybe we should get into the episode so we could die. Let's crunch into the episode. Well, we have a lot of stories to talk about today and I'm glad that you're here because we have some big makeup news And so we needed a makeup expert. That's good. But I also wanted to update everyone because yesterday I released an interview with Lexi Wood from Summer House I had recorded a few days ago because we were celebrating Claudia's son Briss yesterday. I saw. Yes, the Briss of Claudia's son.
Starting point is 00:13:25 She also, I feel like- The photos dropped this morning. Photos dropped, name dropped, and now I have to just reprogram myself to be saying it publicly, because it just feels like- Instead of Brunson. Instead of being so secretive, you know?
Starting point is 00:13:38 Was the name named prior to the birth? Yes, yes. Oh, so everyone knew. And so, family knew, but really she did a really good job of keeping it under wraps, because in the Jewish culture, you're not supposed to share the name of the baby until the breast if it's a boy. So she did a good job of that. And I was like, oh, well, I'm not going to be the one. And there's loopholes.
Starting point is 00:13:48 Even now, I still have aesthetics. I'm just like, that's ingrained in me. And there's a lot of, not a lot of loopholes, but there's, it's a, it's a, it's a tangled web when you're naming a Jewish boy, I believe you have to have the first initial of someone who's passed or what is, what are the rules for this? So it's nice to have a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit you have to have the first initial of someone who's passed or what is one of the rules for this? So it's nice to name after someone and yes in Judaism We only name after people who have passed not people who are still living
Starting point is 00:14:15 So you could either use the name of someone who has passed to a significant a grandparent a parent great grandparent Anywhere in the family tree you could come up with your own name if you really wanted to. With the initial of the... Oh yeah, you could also use the first initial, that counts. Or you could just go rogue. Like there's not a rule that you have to name for someone, but it's so meaningful when you do.
Starting point is 00:14:35 Are you named for anyone? My grandfather and my father, yeah. Oh, they were Josephs? Joseph, Joseph Camastas, yeah. You're so not a Joseph, you're such a Joey. Joey, yeah. Yeah, but it's a good name that you have that flexibility. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:46 You're not a Joe either. I mean, you know, a funny story is I thought I was going to be called Joe when I was growing up and I remember this, remember those Playboy name necklaces that everyone had in the 80s? No, I wasn't alive. Olivia probably had it. It was like, it looked like a playing card and had like a Playboy bunny cut out and like a heart and it said like your name diagonally on it. Cute. And I remember like, it was like, this is real gold.
Starting point is 00:15:06 I said, I'm gonna have this for the rest of my life. So I was like, when I'm old, I'm gonna be wearing this for the rest of my life. So when I'm an adult, I'm gonna be called Joe. So I had it called, instead of Joey, I had it said, say Joe, so I was able to wear it. So it was evergreen. So for the rest of your life.
Starting point is 00:15:18 Yeah, cause it was gold. But alas, you're still Joey. So I still have it to this day. You have to add a Y. It's not so hard. I know. But yeah, Joseph Kamasta. Love that.
Starting point is 00:15:29 So yeah, that would be perfect. So Claudia's son is named Ruben Asher Safar, and he's named for my mom's dad, Ruben, and we're calling him Ruby. How did that not get stolen already? From the other sisters? It's a great question. So I had the first boy, but I went Harry for my grandpa Harold.
Starting point is 00:15:49 There we go. And I just like always loved the name Harry and that worked out well. Then yeah, Olivia went Levi, but she took the L from my mom's mom, Lillian. As girls in the Australia household, were you girls like, you know, talking about boys and who you're going to marry and stuff like that? Was that ever a conversation like, you know, I'm boys and who you're gonna marry and stuff like that, was that ever a conversation, I'm taking this name, don't even try it, girl? So a little bit, yes, but you can't really take a name
Starting point is 00:16:11 and claim a name, unless you're having a baby. So you could say and make it known, your preference, and Claudia always loved the name Ruben, and we kind of knew that that's what she would want. So it wasn't, so we just sort of left it there for her. That's so kind. Yeah. And when it comes to other names, no, it's kind of first come,
Starting point is 00:16:30 first serve, you know? Like, if you want the name, have the babe. Yeah, that's why there's a lot of pressure. Put the ring on it. We've got to get this name before someone else gets it. Exactly. There we go. Oh, my god, she got Ruben.
Starting point is 00:16:40 Ruben. No middle names. Do Jewish people not do middle names? I don't know what other people do, but we just do our last, like our maiden name. We have such great last names. Asherah Safar. Yeah, and like we're all girls, so the name isn't going to be passed down through our family, so it's just like a nice way to keep it in the family, and that way all the cousins
Starting point is 00:16:54 have the same middle name of Asherah. Like my kids are also Asherah, middle name. Now do you think there's going to be, do you think on the first of, of 4th of July, there's going to be a Reuben sandwich? There better be. Yeah. There better be. I can already see it happening. I want one. I want it. I know. I think Reuben sandwich stock,
Starting point is 00:17:12 I'd invest. It's a trending sandwich now. What's in a Reuben? It's corned beef or pastrami. Yum. With I believe Russian dressing and sauerkraut. That sounds so good. And Swiss cheese. Yeah. I believe. I think so good. And Swiss cheese, I believe. I think we need a celebratory Reuben.
Starting point is 00:17:27 Yeah, on marble rye. On marble rye. What a great sandwich. We're getting hungry. This episode's making me so hungry. I know, I hope it's not contagious. Churdy was pregnant, now you are. And next year.
Starting point is 00:17:39 I'm nine months postpartum from Wiggles, so I'm trying to get my figure back before the summer. It's not contagious. I guess it might be, like, you come on the toast. We're very... I mean, Wiggles needs a brother or sister. Oh, Wiggles is your new dog? Yes.
Starting point is 00:17:52 And you just had him nine months ago? Yes, October 24th. He was... I bought him right off the internet. Right. We were just talking about it. You did same day delivery. Same day delivery.
Starting point is 00:18:01 He was there in about four hours. Do you decide that morning I want a dog? No, I knew for months. I knew for almost a year because I was trying to steal my father's friend's dog. I was always babysitting him. So I had him cloned. Sort of. I went to the parents of that dog that I loved and tried to have them make again.
Starting point is 00:18:22 One of them was out of commission. The woman wasn't working anymore as a wet wife. I don't know what they called them. The dog woman wasn't, she wasn't working. So I had to go out to somewhere else. So I found the same kind of like, you know, cousins of whatever trickle down to Brooklyn. There was a breeder there
Starting point is 00:18:39 that had the macro-cheekup long haired chihuahuas. Got it. In tricolor sable. In tricolor sable. In tricolor sable. So that's how you came upon Wiggles. So I found it and I found him and it was there and then I was looking on the, all the birth date of the litter
Starting point is 00:18:53 and the birthday of the litter was the same birthday as my late mother. So I said this is- That's what we say in Judaism, be-share meant to be. Be-share? Be-share-to. Be-share-to.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Meant to be is what it means. It was meant to be, as I said. But then I realized that I adopted a Leo dog. So I was like... Oh, what is the vibe of the dog? Well, you know, just entitled and... I believe my son is a Leo, so... Just very, just, you know, they, with rightly so, they are the stars of the show at all times.
Starting point is 00:19:19 And, you know, just, it's a big, it's a big ego. Ego. So he prances around and owns the whole place. What's your horoscope? Are you a scorpio? I'm a Capricorn. I need to know everything before it happens. I have the fear of the unknown. I need to schedule everything and know what's gonna happen.
Starting point is 00:19:35 If I'm going to a restaurant, I'll like... You look at the menu? Not only look at the menu. I'm like, we're gonna know who's sitting where. This bitch doesn't eat fish. So if I want to share the appetizer to the table, is she gonna be like, oh, I'm not having any of that? Like, she's gonna have shellfish allergy. If I wanted to get the tower,
Starting point is 00:19:48 I'm gonna have to sit on this side of the thing. Like, it goes in so deep, and besides just like what we're gonna order. Like, who's gonna sit there? If I wanna get the bottle, I mean, this is by the glass, this is this, Sal Blanc. I wanna spring for the bottle. I know that she's a little cheap.
Starting point is 00:20:03 She's not gonna wanna pay for the whole bottle. So it's gonna be, and it's all the dynamics. And I stress out over something as simple as a girl's going to get lunch. But does it wind up being as stressful as you thought it was going to be? Or it's always like, no big deal? No, because everyone knows that I'm a psycho. So they just kind of let me, they just kind of like bite their tongue. They're like, you sit there, we're getting the tower.
Starting point is 00:20:17 You can have. Yeah. And I'm always terrified there's not going to be enough food. And I'm always like, you know, so I have to like, you know, eat before I go, because I don't really like, you know, have to like not get the last shrimp. No, that's really stressful. It's a lot of stress.
Starting point is 00:20:28 So yes, anything in life is like that. So I have to like know everything ahead of time. Maybe that's why you stay home and cook, because it's like you can plan, because you're a planner. Exactly. And it's in my house, and I can like do what I see fit. And that's the caper corn in you. Yeah, if I have to excuse myself for a minute
Starting point is 00:20:42 to have a break down in the ladies' room, the guest bathroom, I'm more than welcome. Well, I'm sorry you're going through all that. Thank you. I'm so sorry. But I'm glad that you're here. Thank you. And we are going to get into the show because we have a lot to catch up on. I'm excited. Now, don't we? So without further ado-da-doo-da-doo,
Starting point is 00:20:58 it is time for the Fast Five Stories that you-da-doo need to know. And today's episode is brought to you by TruFru. Okay, as if we couldn't get any hungrier oh mama true fruit true fruit is the most important thing that's ever happened to me I discovered it probably two years ago or maybe a year and a half and for me I go dark chocolate raspberry frozen what do you do I'm the exact same and blueberry oh I didn't know you can get them unfrozen until recently oh Oh yeah, you can, but I'm like, I love frozen. So this is the perfect news for all true fruit lovers
Starting point is 00:21:44 and fans to stock up on their hard to find flavors and try the new ones. Yeah, I love experimenting with little truffles. Maybe do like a bowl of mixed berries. It is the most decadent and satisfying treat I've ever had in my life. It is. So they take perfectly ripe fruit
Starting point is 00:21:59 and coat it in insanely good dark warm milk chocolate. Then they flash freeze it to lock in all that goodness. No artificial flavors, no weird stuff, just real fruit, real chocolate, and magic. It's the perfect post-dinner treat. That's when I like to enjoy my meal. I'm watching my shows after dinner. I want a sweet treat.
Starting point is 00:22:14 I don't want to eat something so unhealthy. Can I say that out of all the desserts I've ever had in my life, you only need a few of them, and it's so satiating and so satisfying that you don't eat. I figure I'm going to eat the whole bag, and then I end up saving them some for later. But it's like you only need a few of them and it's so satiating and so satisfying that you don't eat I think I'm saying I figure I'm gonna eat the whole bag and then I end up saving them some for later But it's like, you know, you only need a few of them popped in your mouth. It's so satisfying so satisfying So once you try true food You will wonder how a fruit ever existed without chocolate grab your friends neighbor or anyone you love and get to the target freeze aisle

That's where my waffle knit robe is from that I get compliments on every time I go live with it on. And you know what? Quince has an amazing Father's Day promotion and a waffle knit robe is from that I get compliments on every time I go live with it. And you know what? Starting point is 00:24:41 So I found that Quince has made buying a thoughtful gift incredibly easy because Quince has all the pieces that dads actually want to wear like organic silk polos, European linen beach shorts, and comfortable pants that work for everything from weekend hangouts to nice dinners. It's your first father's day. And I know that you would love a European silk polo from Quince. I just know that our first story, Elf Beauty will from Quince. I just know it. I would love that. Our first story,
Starting point is 00:25:45 Elf Beauty will acquire Hailey Bieber skincare brand Rode for $1 billion. So this was amongst the big news of the day. Yesterday, Hailey Bieber's skincare company and makeup, it's a bit of a flex, company Rode sold for $1 billion to Elf Beauty. So it's about $800 million in cash. I know, we're just so shook over here.
Starting point is 00:26:06 $800 million in cash and then another $200 million that will come if they like hit some goals along the way. So, Haley Bieber, more or less, billionaire's club. Billion dollar Bieber. Billion dollar Bieber and not Justin. So she's worth more than him. See, you know what? Okay, here's my opening statement thoughts on this is,
Starting point is 00:26:28 good for you, sis. I did not see that coming though. I know that, I know that the first, I think the first like influencer style celebrity billion dollar cosmetic brand was Kylie, with Kylie Cosmetics and her- Agreed, that's how I remember it. Or maybe Fenty, but they were around the same time.
Starting point is 00:26:41 Yes, correct. Lip kits and things like that. I'm not saying I didn't see I didn't see road I Think that I think Kelly Bieber's capable of doing anything. She puts her mind to I think she's fabulous I think she's genuine and a good person. I think I love I like her. I thought the road Basically on the products. I've tried and things like that. I think the products were that were that popular and that like globally Influenced I don't think everyone was that globally influenced to go to buy it as much as they were buying Kylie's.
Starting point is 00:27:08 Interesting, I love the products. Even this morning, I think I'm wearing three road products in my everyday and I'm being paid to say that. So I'm not surprised that it's successful because it's good stuff, but I did not realize the scale of it, that it could be a billion dollars. And I think I saw somewhere she more or less has 10 products. So this is a billion dollar valuation for a brand with 10 products. Like that's massive. What each product is worth a
Starting point is 00:27:32 hundred million dollars. It's crazy. I know I, I try the skincare but I think the thing with the skincare is I'm an old lady. So it's like you know I need you know I need, there's beautiful ingredients in the peptides and all the good things in her skin, the milks and all those things. But when you get to my age, you know, I need a deep face lift. I need the Chris Kardashian. Yeah. So, there weren't bad products. I just think I needed something more medicinal for myself.
Starting point is 00:27:55 Yeah, you needed more. I think what I also like about ROTIS, sometimes when the girlies do skincare, even Kylie Skin, and I love Kylie, and I'm not gonna say a bad word about her, but I do feel old for Kylie Skin. I do need more. And I think I had the same reaction when I tried that stuff.
Starting point is 00:28:06 I'm like, oh, this is nice if you're 18 and like you don't need heavy lift, but it'll hydrate your skin and it'll take care of your skin, but like I need more. What I liked about Road is I felt like it was, it's the right amount for me. Like it's not too thick, it's not too medicinal. I don't want, cause also I love to use the good stuff,
Starting point is 00:28:23 like a little La Mer, but then what will I use as I get older if I'm already using the old lady products now? They'll be, my skin will build up a tolerance. I have to save that stuff. Yeah, and I gotta say, I'm a toasted teddy girl, I have my third tube of toasted teddy. What's toasted teddy?
Starting point is 00:28:40 It's the blush, it's the pocket blush, and that rusty kind of sun wind burned color. I think I use Piggy. Not my favorite name. She should work on that. I'm kidding. Oh yeah, that pocket blush. That's the third product I use in my every day. I think that's the one that maybe... I think between the phone case, the lip peptide and phone case combo,
Starting point is 00:28:58 and then the pocket blush, I think that's where she like skyrocketed to super start-up. I would love to know which one of her products is the most successful it might be Peptide lit because you can get so many and like you know it's I don't have road with me today I'm using you're using a competitor while we praise road, but summer Fridays is also really good And I don't think it's peptide, so they're so different. What does it peptide do? Peptide you know classic everybody wants to have that oh that looks nice Yeah. Peptide. Classic.
Starting point is 00:29:23 Everybody wants peptide. Oh, that looks nice. That's real nice. I need a little hydration. Totally. Change your look. Totally change your look. I haven't tried the rope, but they're going to be starting SOLD and SAFORA though, so
Starting point is 00:29:32 now I can try it. SOLD and SAFORA, I think ELF Beauty will help with scaling, distribution, and being more global. I saw a bunch of countries that they're now going to be in. I also think on a personal level, of course everyone wants to be a billionaire, Maslitov to Haley, but we were getting to a place of like, are the Bieber's destitute, you know, like all his money is kind of spent. And now she is the breadwinner. Yeah. And I think she's a lot more responsible. I don't think he will be able to touch a cent of this because he's not
Starting point is 00:30:00 to be trusted with money. Right. And that's for the best for their family. Probably a Lamborghini. And an Island. And a bunch of, that would actually be like tangible. Cause I feel like he spent all his money. What did he buy? You know? Right. I wouldn't mind if someone bought an Island or a Lamborghini, at least I can see it.
Starting point is 00:30:14 Oh yeah, there you go. But like don't buy stuff that I can't see like. Like high tops. You're like, I don't want to say it. Something you could consume. Oh. Even food. Okay. You spend a lot on food. She's talking about pot brownies. I'm talking wanna say it. Something you could consume. Oh. Even food.
Starting point is 00:30:25 Okay. You spend a lot on food. She's talking about pot brownies. I'm talking about, yeah. Like even like, yeah, food and beverage. Okay, got it. But I'm excited for her. I think that now that we know what she's capable of,
Starting point is 00:30:36 don't go crazy now, but I'm saying a fashion line with her would be insane. Yeah, I just think this is really amazing. I feel like she said, like, I want, even in that TMZ thing that came out where she was, like, on tour with Justin and they gave her a plane to go on his tour. She was like, no, I want one that's the size of Kylie's.
Starting point is 00:30:54 And they were like, no. And so she didn't take their small plane. But I feel like she woke up and was like, I want a plane like Kylie Jenner. I want a billion dollars. I'm gonna make it happen. She manifested it. And yeah, but most people, like, when they set out to build a billion dollar brand,
Starting point is 00:31:06 like they don't and they can't because that's not how brands get built just because you want it. But like she really did it. I think this is an amazing story for women. I love it. I'm excited for Elf. Is this the first acquisition that Elf has as a brand? I don't know, but you know the last thing I heard about Elf, remember that interview that Meghan Markle did, that podcast interview? The most recent one where she's like talking to her friend. Oh, with Jamie, without from the... She's elf, right?
Starting point is 00:31:27 No, she is. Jamie Kiernan, she is from... IT? IT Cosmetics. To me, elf and IT like are the same thing. Oh, no. It is much more luxury. Elf is like...
Starting point is 00:31:38 Elf is more like... No, elf is the end caps in the drugstores, like 99 cent makeup. Oh. Not 99 cent, but they do great dupes of everything. They come very far. For sure, but then that's why they have enough money to acquire road. And then they started doing the wand blush, like the sort of like, the that they had, this green jelly primer. Yeah. They got big with that and then they started doing the wand blush, like Charlotte Tilbury, like knocking off Charlotte Tilbury,
Starting point is 00:32:12 not knocking off, but just being inspired by. Yeah, just like look for less. So they found really great dupes and the products they were making were incredible. And the thing with those cheap lines, that lines are inexpensive like that, they're how they're able to get such quality products and and still sell for cheap prices, there's minimums. Elf has carried at every drug store, CVS, Target, everywhere in the world.
Starting point is 00:32:34 So they're ordering so much of that one product, so they're able to get it at a lower cost because they're ordering billions of units of it. So a smaller brand that only adds a few department stores, select department stores and things like that, they have to have a much higher price point because the packaging is much more elite and expensive, and they're not ordering as much of it, so they're going to have to pay a higher premium for that. So that's why you can get those big brands like L'Oreal and drugstore brands, you get great products for a lot cheaper. And that's why we have the makeup guru, Joey Kamaster, on the podcast today to break this down for us.
Starting point is 00:33:04 To give you a little pargy tip. But still five minutes ago I really thought Elf Cosmetics was IT Cosmetics. I'm like, how do they have a billion dollars? I'm not going to question it. Happy for Haley. Get your bag. But no, it's as if like L'Oreal bought. Well, I don't think Elf is that big, but yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Okay, so still wrong. Like NYX. Yeah, yes. I like NYX. Yeah, they're good. They do great stuff. Yeah, yes. I like NYX. Yeah, they're good. They do great stuff. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:26 They have a little store in Union Square that never opens, it was open for like two days, then it's like gone. I think in the two days that it was open, I went there because they had a contour stick that I used to really like, like a double-sided concealer and contour. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:40 And it was like the only one that worked for me. And then they closed, and now I use the Clinique chubby stick I love Clinique. So nostalgic. Yeah, it's true. Some things are like Around a long time for a reason. Mm-hmm. So yeah, I use Clinique and Rode and I'm get you a girl who could do both That's right. Congratulations Haley. Congratulations to Haley Like I feel like she is like just sitting pretty today like laughing in everyone's face because I feel like she is, like, just sitting pretty today, like, laughing in everyone's face.
Starting point is 00:34:06 Because I feel like everyone just doubted her, you know? People are so mean to her. Before we get to the next story, it's bothering me. Can I bring attention to your grinder socks that you're wearing? Yes, you brought attention to them before we... Can you show the camera the icon? Okay. Okay, there's an icon.
Starting point is 00:34:20 So I looked down and said, are you wearing the grinder symbol on your socks? She goes, I don't know, they're zacks. And I said, well, this makes sense. Is that the Grindr symbol? Let me Google it. It is the Grindr. It's a, just Google Grindr.
Starting point is 00:34:29 That makes sense. I mean, I don't know if she was, I don't know if you were at a pop-up, a Grindr pop-up in Florida. It's not coming up. Oh, the mask. Oh, OK. I see. Show him.
Starting point is 00:34:40 OK, that's not what I, show. OK. Imagine a dick pic and you turn it around. No, no, yeah. I'm'm like I just want to like pick one I'm scared. He knows he has the app on his phone. I'm talking to our lovely producer Chris here Okay, this This is the grinder logo for anyone who didn't know that which is me and then this is my sock It's eerily similar. I would ask Zach where he got them. I will. You know what? Let me just take a picture and ask him.
Starting point is 00:35:07 She was down in Wilton Matters on a business conference. He's going to be like, you have had those socks for so long. I always think it's like the infinity symbol. I'm sure it's a lovely athleisure brand. Where are these socks from? Madge is like the gay bar down the street. They were having a two for one Margarita special. Sorry to interrupt the Fast Five stories.
Starting point is 00:35:35 No, I'm sorry to this brand. It's just been pretty much ruined. Or made, depends how you look at it. Well, the gays love to shop. Yeah, it depends who your clientele is. Father's Day is coming up. Father's Day is coming up. And Father's Day is coming up. Our next story is some other major news, some legal news. Todd and Julie Chrisley have been released from prison
Starting point is 00:35:52 after receiving pardons from President Trump. Harjit pardons. I didn't even know this was brewing, but then after this all came out, like then I was looking at the kids, social media, and like they've been in DC, they've been like lobbying for this. You know who they were with?
Starting point is 00:36:04 Alice Marie Johnson. Yes, Kim Kardashian's friend. Kim Kardashian's friend who she freed with the help of Trump so like it's part of this whole what's the word for it like a movement? No but like a criminal justice movement? Criminal justice yeah yeah yeah so there we're up next for a pardon who knew and now Todd and Julie Christie, I believe Todd is out now. Both of them? Yeah, he was on his way home to Nashville after being locked up at federal prison
Starting point is 00:36:33 in Pensacola, Florida. And Julie was also released not long after her husband, so they are both on their way home, if not home already. Where was she stationed? She was stationed at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. So Kentucky, and the other one was in where? Florida.
Starting point is 00:36:47 Oh, so they weren't even near each other. No. So what a reunion. What a reunion, especially because he got 12 years. I think she had a couple years less. And they've both been in prison for at least over a year. It's been a while. How nuts.
Starting point is 00:37:01 Now the thing is with this is how do you choose who gets to go home? What do you mean? Like pardons are like, I know that the president pardoned like 5,000 people. Joe Biden. No, Donald Trump. Today? No, I think that with this new wave of pardons, I think there was like 4,000 something people that got pardoned within the, and the Christie's just happened to be two numbers on the thing.
Starting point is 00:37:27 Oh really? Okay. In this last like week? I'm assuming, correct me if I'm wrong, we have to ask JPT. But okay, they were part of a wave of pardons. A wave of pardons, yes. It wasn't just like two. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Yeah, so it wasn't just these random two ones. And apparently this has been in the works for many, many moons because Lifetime has been documenting her trying to get the parents out for... So the show is already and everyone's like, get the cameras, get the cameras, the cameras have been set. Oh, wow. That's going to be really good to watch. Because her going to the storming the Capitol or whatever it was, going to... Lobby. Lobbying at the White House and all these things was all being documented like about her, you know,
Starting point is 00:38:05 her journey. I guess so this is just like an ongoing thing. So I think we're going to be seeing she announced what's your name? Chrisley the blonde Chrisley Savannah Chrisley announced that the cameras will be rolling and this is gonna be a lifetime. Well that is so great for the viewers because this is interesting content. Yeah, I don't know but they obviously have been making their case for a while. It does make sense if it's part of a larger wave of pardons,
Starting point is 00:38:28 because I guess it's like what you do. Right. And their sentencing was like really harsh for the crimes that they committed. And I think that's like the sort of people who are eligible, not eligible, but thought of for pardons. I think a lot of people, so if they're in a public eye, they try to make an example.
Starting point is 00:38:42 An example, yeah. That happens with Michael's situation. Right, this does remind me of Sitch. Yeah. And so, but if Sitch got 12 years, he got one year, right? He got, yeah, a little over 13 months, I think. That's your friend, yeah? Yeah, we were just together recently.
Starting point is 00:38:56 Oh, nice. How's he doing? Lovely. He's got three children now. They have a beautiful home. He has a new book out and he's opening his own... Oh, I had to tell Claudia, she's obsessed with his book. His own center, His own rehab center. Rehabilitation center for addiction.
Starting point is 00:39:10 That's amazing. Yeah. You love to see it. We love to see it. Yeah. But yeah, so I mean, I thought there's a lot of taboo topics about this, Chris, you know, because it's, you know, being pardoned and, you know, the rich, you know, rich and privileged people.
Starting point is 00:39:23 Yeah. It seems like that seems like the trend. Yeah, that people are mad about it. I think so. I've been too busy in the last 24 hours to take the pulse and see how people were feeling. And I imagine it's how, if people like the Chrisleys and they felt they were treated unfairly,
Starting point is 00:39:35 they're happy for this. If people don't like the Chrisleys and want to throw the book at him, they're like, this is- I think Todd's a little upset because now he can't have all those prison boyfriends. You know? He was probably thriving in there. You think so?
Starting point is 00:39:47 If I had to write something down. Well, I saw that she said he got jacked. The savannah, my father got jacked and she showed a glimpse of his bicep and of his thigh. He was wearing, I would think it was a lululemon shirt and maybe a half, a quarter zip. Oh, so he was working on his fitness. That's a good thing to do while you're away, as they say. But I'm excited to see the homecoming video, because remember when Teresa Giudice came home from prison
Starting point is 00:40:10 and walked in the kitchen, I just wanted to see what her hair looked like, and when they come fresh out. Honestly, I'm fresh out of prison. And I know Julie's not going to have a blowout. No, unless she's been working on herself as well. Maybe she's a brand new Julie. Maybe she had Laverne Cox in there,
Starting point is 00:40:21 like an orange and a blue black, doing those weekly blowouts. Why don't you have her, how she kept up with that frosted color? Do you think she's rooted and booted, mama? Oh, I wonder. I didn't even think about it. Can you get your hair bleached in prison? I'm sure you could maybe buy a boxed dye at the commissary, no? Maybe Clorox wipes and just do a root smudge? But I don't know, maybe at that point it it's just better to just go natural and like,
Starting point is 00:40:46 I feel like the upkeep would also be stressful. Like how am I gonna get my dye this month? She was a high glam southern lady. But I feel like you could also, if she has what, a brown, darker hair, like that could be beautiful as well. There we go. But yeah, it will be interesting to see.
Starting point is 00:41:01 I didn't realize camera's slow. Ones to watch, Choasters. Ones to watch. Our third't realize. Once to watch, toasters. Once to watch. Our third story are also once to watch. This was news that I saw the other day at the AMAs. Zach Brown and Kendra Scott stepped out. Oh, I thought you meant Heidi Montag's wig. Oh, other news from the AMAs was Heidi Montag's wig.
Starting point is 00:41:20 I think that was an internet plant. I think that was a publicity stunt. Like click bait? Click bait. I think they knew they were doing it. I think that was a publicity stunt. Like clickbait? Clickbait, I think they knew they were doing it. I think she knew it was a risk and it was going to be talked about. It was so bad that it became a headline. Now think about it, she's on everyone's mind. That's true.
Starting point is 00:41:38 She's in everyone's picture. Everyone's making fun of it. All press is good press. All press is good press. There's no right mind that a gay person would do that to her, unless it was sabotage. Unless it was sabotage. It was so bad. It was stiffer than a box of Pringles.
Starting point is 00:41:51 Okay, but I like it if it's like her idea and she's taking her power back, you know, and getting her press clippings. Yeah. I think it has a little bit of both. I think they're a smart couple. I think that wig was intentional. That is so funny. It was a smart couple. I think that wig was intentional. That is so funny. It was a government plant.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Well, other plants on the carpet, Zach Brown and Kendra Scott are dating. Another billionaire. Another billionaire female founder. They debuted their romance at the 2025 AMA. So Zach Brown is from Zach Brown Band. And Kendra Scott is the founder of Kendra Scott Jewelry, a billion dollar brand.
Starting point is 00:42:24 She's also a guest shark on Shark Tank. So she's just like, these people are from two completely different worlds. And she bought Kristin Cavallari's jewelry line, didn't she? She did. If I'm not mistaken. You have all the M&A news.
Starting point is 00:42:36 I do. A spin-off jewelry brand of Uncommon James. Love. If I'm correct. But Kendra Scott, I mean, that's another female founder. Another female founder. This episode is just great for female founders doing big things. Zach Brown seems like a catch, even though as we talk about him,
Starting point is 00:42:55 I'm like reminded that there was some sort of scandal in his ex- Is it scandals or taboo, the relationship? Is there any, what's going on with this? Is she an older lady? I think this is good. No, no, no. I think he's 46 and she's 51. So like we're good.
Starting point is 00:43:11 But I feel like when he divorced his ex-wife, I remember seeing a lot of headlines just about the divorce. Like I don't think it was the greatest. Maybe the timing was off. Not with Kendra though. I'm guessing. Cause I feel like if I'm guessing, because I feel like, if I'm remembering correctly, it was like a year ago at least.
Starting point is 00:43:28 So I think Kendra's a new woman, you know, and this is a fresh relationship on new fertile soil. A younger rock star. Yeah. She has her jewelry line with rocks. I was trying to make a word association. Like Alzheimer's. That's really beautiful.
Starting point is 00:43:49 That's really beautiful. I actually ship so hard. And I just want to know how two people like this meet each other. Like where do they run into each other in order to spark a romance? I'm assuming like in Nashville. Is she based in Tennessee? I wouldn't have thought so, but I guess it's possible. What does she look like? Do you have a photograph? Yeah, of course. She's a beautiful lady. Oh
Starting point is 00:44:09 Wow No, I didn't think that's what she looked like. What'd you think? I didn't know I didn't think she was so glam I assumed to she'd be more a little bit more granola-ish for some reason. Okay Beautiful couple. I mean, I think I think that that's kind of people you go for She's probably a fan of country music. Maybe she was heading, you know, she got... Went to a concert, got backstage. Went to a concert, bought a box for all her jewelry, all her jewelry employees. Yeah. And then went backstage and, you know, caught her eye.
Starting point is 00:44:36 Caught an eye, yeah. That's right. So I'm wishing them lots. And I hope that they've been dating for a while now, if they're finally stepping out, you know, you imagine. Yeah. You don't go public on the first date or second or third. Zach Brown Band is Country Fried, Chicken Fried. Little Chicken Fried. And I know I like my chicken fry.
Starting point is 00:44:51 Cold beer on a Friday night. Little pair that fits just right. We're probably gonna get stopped for copyright, because you sound just like them. I don't think they're gonna know what that was. And also Joey's a big country music fan. Yes. Just you're full of surprises. I still have not done stagecoach yet because you know what, my anxiety's putting it off.
Starting point is 00:45:12 I want to make sure it's perfect. Oh, for the planner? I don't know if you can handle it. I need to know if the house is right. I'm not a Palm Springer, so I don't know when I get out to the desert, how do I find the home? How do I find the brand deals? How do I get into all the parties?
Starting point is 00:45:23 I want to make sure I'm set up for success. I don't want to be a straggler and I don't know, like, when I get out to the desert, how do I find the home? How do I find the brand deals? How do I get into all the parties? Like, I want to make sure I'm, like, set up for success. I don't want to be, like, a straggler in a tent sitting on the side of the road next to a cactus. Yeah, I do feel like it's easy to end up that way, and even for someone who's not a planner, it's very stressful.
Starting point is 00:45:38 Yeah, so I need, like, Revolve to send me, or like... Yeah, yeah, you need a brand. Or Quince, I need Quince to send me to the next post-stage coach. But, like, even if they send send you then you have no control over like what if you're in the room? That's not right for you, right? So sometimes it's good to write your own ticket How about the room you get on your followers now? Oh is that how yeah, that's a brand trips have been working Yeah, okay, like people probably have an issue with that, but how else should it go like someone's gonna have a better room Beyonce's going a little Mama are going on tour.
Starting point is 00:46:06 Beyonce's getting the master suite. Right. Yeah. I guess they could like pick out of a hat, very Real Housewives style, but I don't know, don't you wanna keep like your biggest talent happiest, right? I agree. Do you think any brands are watching
Starting point is 00:46:16 wanna send me on a brand trip right now? Would you love to go on a brand trip? I mean, depending on what it is. I mean, the caliber of it and other people going. A lot of times people are so young that I feel like, you know, like I'm the chaperone and like we have kind of nothing in common. So I think if it is. I mean, the caliber of it and other people going. A lot of times, people are so young that I feel like I'm the chaperone, and we have kind of nothing in common. So I think if it's the right fit, I would love to do it.
Starting point is 00:46:31 I'm more like a real housewives error. If it was a real housewives girls trip, that'd be more me. Like going to like a playing volleyball on a beach in Bali is not my thing. Yeah, I don't get invited on a lot of brand trips either. Do you think if they got invited and you didn't want to go, at least they sent me and said they would notice?
Starting point is 00:46:49 No. I don't think that they would. I think they'd be pleasantly surprised. Yeah. Yeah. But if any brand ambassadors or marketing girlies are planning a brand trip, like consider Jolie. Swear to girlies.
Starting point is 00:47:01 You would be so great. Yeah. And you like to travel? Love to travel. Your passport is up to date? It is up to date. OK. I have global entry. You'd be great great. Yeah. And you like to travel? Love to travel. Your passport is up to date? It is up to date. Okay. I have global entry.
Starting point is 00:47:08 You'd be great for Tarte. Because you're a makeup expert too. Well I did Tarte. I never went on a Tarte brand trip. I went to see Beyonce with Tarte. Oh, that counts. That was fun. Yeah, so we went there.
Starting point is 00:47:17 And then, you know, I did some events here and there, but I never did the actual sleepover private jet trip. Okay. Maureen, if you're watching, I know I'm sure Maureen's a toaster, send me on the next trip. There's a lot of toasters who work at T trip. Okay. Maureen, if you're watching, I'm sure Maureen's a toaster, send me on the next trip. There's a lot of toasters who work at Tart. Yeah. They send us product,
Starting point is 00:47:29 but they don't invite us to Bali. Oh. I think Claudia actually might have gone invited. Has she? I think also we don't get invited to this stuff because people know we won't go. Right. So like, but still we would like to be invited still.
Starting point is 00:47:38 I just want to make that clear. It's a thought that counts. You're right. We probably won't go. We have a lot going on, but it's nice to be included. You just want to be included. I just want to be appreciated. Yeah, right? Thought of.
Starting point is 00:47:49 And it's like, it's when you invite someone to your wedding and you know they can't come. It's like, oh well, it's perfect. Because like, you got the credit. You invited them. And you didn't have to pay for their place. That's kind of like what we are. I love saying new things. Yeah. Are you ready for our next story?
Starting point is 00:48:04 I've never been more ready. I'm so ready as well, but I do need to things. Yeah. Are you ready for our next story? I've never been more ready. I'm so ready as well, but I do need to let you know. I did speak hastily that today's episode of The Toast is brought to you by Fatty15. So Fatty15, I'm so excited to share with you guys about C15 from Fatty15. It's the first essential fatty acid to be discovered in more than 90 years. It's an incredible scientific breakthrough to support our long-term health and wellness, and you guessed it, aging and longevity.
Starting point is 00:48:30 That is definitely a theme of today's episode. Like we are looking to age and longevity in a graceful way. Grow old gracefully. Grow old gracefully. And Fatty15 co-founder, Dr. Stephanie Van Watson, discovered the benefits of FATTY15. Another female founder.
Starting point is 00:48:44 Another female founder. What's going on today? So many themes. So many like just obvious signs. She discovered the benefits while working with the U.S. Navy to continually improve the health and welfare of aging dolphins. Based on over 100 studies, we now know that C15 strengthens our cells and is a key longevity-enhancing nutrient which helps to slow biological aging at the cellular level. Because when our cells age, our bodies age too.
Starting point is 00:49:08 This eventually led to studies finding the new, first new nutritional deficiency in 75 years called cellular fragility syndrome caused by a lack of the essential fatty acid C15. As many as one in three people worldwide now have low C15 levels and CFS, cellular fragility syndrome. So fatty 15 repairs age-related damage to cells, protects them from future breakdown and activates pathways in the body that help regulate our sleep, mood and natural repair
Starting point is 00:49:35 mechanisms that support our overall health. It is clinically proven to raise C15 levels resulting in lower cholesterol levels, healthier liver function, improved gut microbiome and improved red blood cell health within three weeks. Best of all, Fatty15 comes in a gargipargy reusable glass bamboo jar, and refills are shipped right to your door. Fatty15 is on a mission to optimize your C15 levels to help you live healthier longer. These cocktails are wine-based, colorful, effervescent, and absolutely delicious. We made these canned cocktails because we hated malt-based hardselters.
Starting point is 00:52:22 We love wine. We literally made the cocktail that we wish to drink in the world. And we've won USA's Today's Best Canned Cocktail three years in a row now for good reason, because it's seriously delicious. So here are the flavors that are now available. Lemon iced tea, which is by Craig Conover from Southern Charm. I know you're going to Charleston soon. Oh, love that.
Starting point is 00:52:40 You have to stop by Sowing Down South in Charleston. I love an Arl Palmer. Are you going to stop by Sowing Down South? They have spritzes. Oh, at the Pillow Store? Yeah. Yes, of course. in Charleston. Are you going to stop by Sewing Down South? They have Spritz Society. The Pillow Store? Yes, of course. Have you met Craig? I've met him, yes. You love him.
Starting point is 00:52:48 Pink Lemonade by Skinny Comidential, my girl. Lauren Bostick. Pickle by Claussen. I'm sure you've had the pickle. Chris Cold Claussen. Chris Cold Claussen. And Peach. These are like the four fan favorites. They're so viral, they're so awesome,
Starting point is 00:53:02 and they're perfect for summer. So Spritz Society is now available everywhere. Go to spritzsociety.com slash toast to find a store near you and be sure to follow at spritz on Instagram for all of our exciting updates, announcements, events. We've got a lot going on over at Spritz Society. How exciting.
Starting point is 00:53:15 I found out the national availability for that commercial I saw you on. Oh yeah, we did a little commerce. What did you call him, bucko? Something you should have done a long time ago, bucko. I loved that commercial. Classic stuff. Always quoting it.
Starting point is 00:53:29 Well, our next story is some musical, movie musical news. Mamma Mia is returning to Broadway, and Sabrina Carpenter is eyed for the third movie and TV version. So lots of Mamma Mia news. She'd be perfect in that. She would be perfect in that, and it might actually make me like Mamma Mia news. She'd be perfect in that. She would be perfect in that. And it might actually make me like Mamma Mia.
Starting point is 00:53:48 It was Amanda Seyfried, her predecessor. Yeah, Amanda Seyfried, predecessor. Meryl Streep. And even though you would think I would love Mamma Mia, I love Abba, I love movie musicals. I don't love musicals, but I like them in a movie. I don't like Mamma Mia, it gets on my nerves. Well, I think all the sounds sound the same.
Starting point is 00:54:04 But in a good way. Is't like Mamma Mia, it gets on my nerves. Well, I think all the sounds sound the same. But in a good way. Is that the one that everyone's playing in the, like a couple summers ago, everyone was throwing napkins in the club? Yeah, yeah. Do, eh, do, da, da, da, yeah. Yeah, I remember that.
Starting point is 00:54:16 That's cute, like I like all the lore, like I like everything about it except the actual movie. I don't know why. Where does it take place? Greece. And Greece. And it's like, I think the first one, she's getting married, Amanda Seyfried's getting married. And then there's like three men who might be her father,
Starting point is 00:54:29 and then she sings. And then the other one, the next one. Does the story change? It's the sequel. So it's like a prequel? I don't know. So this is gonna be a sequel to Amanda Seyfried's movie? Are they gonna read you Amanda Seyfried's movie?
Starting point is 00:54:42 I think this will be number three. Like maybe it's even, I don't know how you would Seyfried's movie? I think this will be number three. Like maybe it's even, I don't know how you would do it in a way that Sabrina Carpenter is the lead. Like not Amanda Seyfried's daughter. So this was a movie, I'm sorry, was it a Broadway show? Yes.
Starting point is 00:54:56 And then it became a movie? Yes. So the Broadway show only told one story. Yes. So that movie, that was emulated in the first movie. In the first Mamma Mia, which did really well to make the second Mamma Mia. Now they're talking about a third, starring Sabrina.
Starting point is 00:55:09 I think it's good news, like, because it would be good for Sabrina to be, like, box office queen. It would be great for her. She's got a lot of people who know she's been around for many moons. She can do it all. Yeah. I've not been sleeping on Sabrina Carpenter, like, I would never. I've been a fan of her for her whole tenure. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:25 But people don't really realize anything. Oh, I like espresso, please. And then they see her in concert. They're like, she can dance. She's funny, she can act. I'm like, yeah, because she's a Disney Channel thing. She made a brand. She made a brand for herself.
Starting point is 00:55:36 She's got that kind of whole niche thing down pat, that whatever she's doing. Do you see her in concert? I haven't seen her in concert. Oh, I've seen her in concert, yes. You did? At the VMAs, she was the performer. Oh, you and MTV.
Starting point is 00:55:47 Yeah, we were linked. We were just like obsessed. So she was, she's the VMAs and she killed it. She was one of the best performers I've ever seen. So she has great stage presence, she's marketed herself into this quirky, you know, 50s or 60s glam bot, whatever feminine thing. And it just works for her.
Starting point is 00:56:04 She found the right niche, and I think she's appealing to a broader audience. Men want to see her because she's beautiful. Girls like her because she's relatable, and she has powerful songs about her, about femininity. And she's just an all around pretty American girl. I think she's very, I like her.
Starting point is 00:56:24 Yeah, I like her too. I feel like we have mostly the same opinions about people. Yeah. I've yet to diverge with you today. Here we go. Do you like Mamma Mia? I don't... I'm necessarily not like it. I never saw the movie. I know the...
Starting point is 00:56:35 The songs. And the thing is, I like the Mamma Mia songs. That's my favorite part. But those are just ABBA songs. Yeah. So it's not even like... The thing that I like is not even theirs. True dat. So I could just listen to ABBA. I like ABBA's not even like they didn't the thing that I like is not even theirs. True that. So I could just listen to ABBA. I like ABBA. Do you like ABBA? I do. I think that's it's a feel good jam. I agree. I totally agree. It's always the vibe. Was it a cult? Doesn't sound like it's there's
Starting point is 00:56:57 like 50 people 15 people in the band. So there is an ABBA documentary that I think talks about the dark sides of ABBA. Dorksadded. But I think they also got their start on Eurovision. Are they European? The Greece? Yeah, I think they're like Swedish. Swedish?
Starting point is 00:57:13 But then they came from Eurovision, which is crazy. What a tangled web we weave. Right? Isn't that just not... I didn't know about that, but I just knew there was something... I'm clairvoyant in that way, I knew there was something taboo about it. Yeah, oh taboo, I don't know taboo.
Starting point is 00:57:30 Let me search, Abba cult. Abba cult. Were they all brothers and sisters, or were they all sleeping together, something all married, something was going on there. Oh, everything you need to know about this Swedish cult classic, Abba. No, but then they're not a cult.
Starting point is 00:57:46 Oh, Tormen of the Abba Star with a Nazi father. I didn't know anything about that. I thought there was just a little menagee-trois going on. I didn't know anything about the Nazis. No, but there's definitely a documentary. I'm pretty sure it was referenced in the season of Summer House. Craig told Paige to watch it.
Starting point is 00:58:02 It was about the dangers of touring, right? I think that I'm getting that right. Our fifth and final story, a little TV news. at the summer house, Craig told Paige to watch it. It was about the dangers of touring. Right? I think that I'm getting that right. Our fifth and final story, a little TV news. The Real Housewives of London cast is here. Now, don't be like me, I did confuse this with Ladies of London cast. No, Ladies of London, do you ever watch Ladies of London?
Starting point is 00:58:18 Greatest television ever made. Very good. They announced a few weeks ago they're bringing it back. Now, everyone, these housewives, it's getting into like, you know, strange territory. Because if I was a lady of London, I'd be like, what the hell? What's wrong with us? Why are you bringing a whole other cast of characters in here? Renew our show.
Starting point is 00:58:35 And they did. Oh, they both have shows now? They're both having shows. So now we're having Real Houses of London. Good old fashioned tea party. Cast by Huy Yu. And the cast is out, and it's interesting for one reason. And then we're waiting on Ladies of London cast, but they already said Ladies of London is going to be all new people.
Starting point is 00:58:51 Now I'm holding out hope that there'll be some familiar faces. However... So is Stanbury going to jump to the real housewife? Well she would have to move. She lives in Dubai. Oh, she's not a London lady? She sounds London. She was a Lady of London. She crushed it. Fan favorite. Then a house lady of London. Yeah. She crushed it. Fan favorite. Then a housewife of Dubai.
Starting point is 00:59:06 Then she moved to Dubai with her husband at the time, Jem. They divorced. She still lives in Dubai with her new husband, Sergio, and she's on Real Housewives of Dubai, which I think is not coming back. I think it's not working. So it's time to move back to London, Caroline Stanbury.
Starting point is 00:59:22 She's also like an aristocrat, like a British aristocrat. I like watching her. I love her. She's one of my favorite reality TV stars ever. And now there's two London ladies shows for ladies in London and she needs to be on one of them. And there's no show in Dubai at the moment. Why not jump the pond?
Starting point is 00:59:40 Yeah, I think her whole family is in London. She's like from there. She has history. She's like tied to the royal family. And association wise, I think that whole family is in London. She's like from there. She has history. I think that... She's like tied to the royal family. And association-wise, I think that's what people are going to be expecting. Because again, I didn't know both shows or both franchises were greenlit again for season two. But I... Now that I know, I would want her to be a part of that in some capacity, because otherwise it's not as familiar for me.
Starting point is 01:00:01 Me as well. But what's interesting is Real Housewives of London cast is announced and the one name that we do know and is familiar is Juliet Angus. Remember Juliet? She had the King Charles Cavaliers. Oh yes, yes, yes. She was the American. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Like the chatty American.
Starting point is 01:00:15 But then her and Caroline wound up being unlikely friends. I think that, yeah. And she's an influencer now. She does like, she's a full-time content creator, so she'll be great. I'm interested to see what the ladies, the housewives in London are gonna be. I have a feeling they're gonna be a little bit grittier than you would expect. When you hear London, you think high society rich tea ladies
Starting point is 01:00:30 like ties with the Royal Family being blah, blah, blah. I think it's gonna be a little bit more Soho Piccadilly. Is that Piccadilly? Is that London Piccadilly? Yeah, that sounds right. Or something like that. I think it's gonna be a little bit more like rock and roll-ish or be a little bit more like, you know, like rock and roll-ish or like, you know, like a little bit more like a grungy fashion designer. Interesting.
Starting point is 01:00:49 Maybe someone who works for Vivienne Westwood or like something like that. And as opposed to very proper cheap, potty. That was like Annabelle on Ladies of London. Remember her? She was McQueen's muse, but she passed away. Right. Rest in peace. So I think I have a feeling that it's going to be a little younger.
Starting point is 01:01:03 It's going to skew a little bit more like, Rony, but like the London version. I think that's what they've been trying to do and it flopped, I think, for me. And Rony flopped. Yeah. I mean, Jenna can do no wrong in my eyes, but like the rest of the girls, I think it just wasn't the right fit. I think it's fair to say. It's fair to say.
Starting point is 01:01:18 We can call that one. But I'm excited to see what that's happening. And I mean, this is not on the topic board, but I'm excited to see what's going on with Rhode Island. Right. Whisper's not where the line. They're having a on with Rhode Island. Right. Whispers about where they're going. Rhode Island's having, it's their moment I feel. I feel like it's gonna be the new like remember when New Jersey was like the hottest ticket in town that everything was you know sopranos in the house, New Jersey and then Jersey Shore it was like a whole thing.
Starting point is 01:01:39 What else is happening in Rhode Island? Or you think this is gonna be the beginning of something great? I feel it's gonna be the beginning of something new. Oh, I like that. I feel like that's a pocket of the country that we haven't seen on television. Right. I think there's a lot to be seen there. In a meaningful way.
Starting point is 01:01:51 Because everyone thinks Rhode Island is like, there's a huge Italian-American community there. I think that's what they're focusing on. I've seen pictures and a little bit of bios of some of the presumed ladies who would be on the show. Polydees from there. So you think it will be like polydees? I don't think it'll be that.
Starting point is 01:02:05 I think it'll be, I think it'll be, as opposed to like what you would think about, like it'd be like, you think Rhode Island, you think gingham and coastal gingham and like lobster bakes and clams and things. Like Hill House and Taylor Swift's house. You think hydrangeas and white picket fences. I think it's gonna be more.
Starting point is 01:02:20 Holiday house. I think it's gonna be more that, focusing on that kind of like Italian American culture that's over there. Interesting. I'm excited. I always love a new house-size franchise like, comes a fresh as we say. Me too.
Starting point is 01:02:33 Like, new is good. I don't know if you have so many Yiddish words today. You are. I usually don't speak as much Yiddish, especially like not with Claudia. You know that I'm a little bit of the world, that's why, probably. Yeah. And as you said, like you're a little bit Italian, you're a little bit Irish, now you're a little Yid.
Starting point is 01:02:44 Yeah, there we go. Little Yiddle Joey Camasta. So Real Housewives of London. Okay, the other people, in case anyone listening knows who these people are, I personally don't. Panthea Parker, Karen Loderick-Peace, Amanda Cronin, Nessie Welschinger, and Juliet Mayhew, which is the only name that I'm like, do we know that person? You know Nessie Hellinger? I don't know Nessie, do you know Nessie? No, I don't know any of them.
Starting point is 01:03:09 Here, I'm looking at one of them on Instagram, Juliet. Let's see if she's like what we're looking for. She seems to be what we're looking for. Oh! You know, she's got the housewife Instagram. Yeah, she's a tapas man. A tapas man. She's got, you know,
Starting point is 01:03:24 Like florals, the glam. Like florals. I see tapered candles. A chandelier. That's everything we need. I need to get an iPad. I think my phone, I'm getting so old that my phone is getting too small for me to see. Interesting. Do you have the biggest phone that they make?
Starting point is 01:03:38 I have the biggest phone they make, but I do want to get the biggest iPad they make. Maybe you do have a big one. Soon. Yeah, just watch out for like, carpal tunnel though. True that. When you're holding the iPad. I only use watch out for like carpal tunnel though. True that. When you're holding the iPad. I only use my iPad for this show really. And it's so professional.
Starting point is 01:03:50 It is, I don't wanna be on my phone. I don't like being on my phone. Yeah. That's like very boomer of me. I do everything on my computer, not even on my iPad. There we go. Like I can't answer your email until I'm at my computer. Sorry.
Starting point is 01:03:59 Oh, there you go. Apologies. You like to type. This email finds me at my computer. You went to Catherine Gibbs. What's that? It's like a school, like a trade school for like, for secretaries. No. There you go. Apologies. You like to type. This email finds me at my computer. You went to Catherine Gibbs. What's that? It's like a school, like a trade school for like secretaries.
Starting point is 01:04:08 I went to Mavis Beacon teaches typing. Is that the school? No, it's a computer program. It's the 90s kid, but your 80s? 70s. 79. It was like 90s kids learned computer typing skills with Mavis Beacon teaches typing. Did you play Oregon Trail?
Starting point is 01:04:26 I don't think, I know what that is. You probably know what it is. It's like, it's a green and black game. Yeah, it's a computer game that showed us how travelers were on the Oregon Trail, I think. You know who actually created that game? Whom? Mr. Wonderful, Kevin O'Leary. Oh, get out of here.
Starting point is 01:04:43 Yeah. I was supposed to have a podcast with him one day. Like do an episode with him? Yeah, he's supposed to come on, but then it got canceled last minute. You guys would be so great together. Can you circle back? Maybe we'll circle back.
Starting point is 01:04:53 Make it happen, the world needs that. What are your thoughts on Bethany Frankel? Oh, I think she's- I'm enjoying her new found- Voice. Yeah, or just her influencing. Yeah, I think it's fab. I trust her opinion.
Starting point is 01:05:06 I've always liked her. Anytime she was a housewife, not even just dogmatically, I always just agreed with her. I think she's a very sensible, logical person, also funny and smart. And a lot of her newfound speaking stuff was going down on TikTok a lot, and I don't have TikTok, so I missed a lot of it. Oh, that's right. But then recently I followed her on Instagram. I forget like what was the impetus and it's enjoyable. She has got a lot going on.
Starting point is 01:05:30 She does. She always has great recommendations, good restaurant things and she gives it to you straight. Yeah, she does. And she's like, you know, no one owns her. So her opinions are really her own. Is what I find. And like it's not like she like when she promotes a product that she loves, it's like she doesn't
Starting point is 01:05:44 need the money. She just actually likes the product. At least it seems that way. Then I just want to talk about Summer House, because Reunion Part One aired last night, and I know you're friends with a lot of the Summer House people, but you don't watch. I haven't watched a full episode, partly because I'm jealous that I'm not on it.
Starting point is 01:06:00 You would be great. A lot of times I don't watch shows because of that. It's like, the Traders, if the Tr traders had podcasters instead of like all these reality stars I would fucking crush the traders you would you need to get on a reality show Just to get on like to be eligible for those alum shows. That's what I gotta do I'm gonna start doing like maybe I'll go on RuPaul's Drag Race Or is there anything like with Jersey Shore that you could get it? I mean, I'm June Moonlight on the Jersey Shore I'm there. I'm there all the time. Because you're big with MTV. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:25 So there's a few next few seasons. They film so many seasons. Next few seasons, I'll be popping up here and there. But I don't think it's enough to get me a credited spot on the Traders. Understood. You need a clock more hours. But yeah, Summer House.
Starting point is 01:06:36 I love Paige Sorbo. And I've met Craig. You said you're friends with West? West? I'm not quite friends with him. I met him a couple times. And we're friendly online and stuff. So yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:48 Classic. I've never met him. But I actually, so Reunion Part 1 was enjoyable. Nothing like major happened. Just like some converse. Nothing moved the needle in terms of like the drama on the show, but just people were sharing the other. Are they in the same house every year?
Starting point is 01:07:02 They're in the same house every year. And I actually had a thought last night, which is that like Summer House could really take place anywhere on earth. Like it doesn't have to be in the same house every year? They're in the same house every year, and I actually had a thought last night, which is that summer house could really take place anywhere on Earth. It doesn't have to be in the Hamptons. They don't leave the house. It's just like you come to... Oh. Like they sometimes go to a club or something, but they can't really bring the cameras. The town of the Hamptons doesn't really like them filming in the Hamptons. So they really are relegated to this house.
Starting point is 01:07:19 So it's like, why don't you just get a house somewhere else? You could have an even bigger house with more things going on. Right. Rhode Island. It's like Jersey Shore showed us the shore. You would go to Jersey Shore as a tourist to have the Jersey Shore experience. We're going to Karma, we're going to the t-shirt shop. There were the spots, the boardwalk.
Starting point is 01:07:34 It showed, Summer House has no neighborhood. There's nothing. Which I'm surprised about, because I would think that's what would get, I mean, I don't know, the cast of characters is fabulous and the drama is great. But I would think that everyone that, you know, Hampton is such a niche thing in New York that like a lot of people like only hear about the Hamptons. They don't really know what it's like.
Starting point is 01:07:53 I think if they, I, they showed like, you know, what the restaurants are, what it's like to like go to the beach or like go and it's getting, trying to get in surf lodge. They show us going to the beach, them bringing, lugging their chairs doesn't look glam. They don't show us like walking down Main Street, getting a coffee. People just like sneak out in the morning. Going to Tate's, going to Ralph's for coffee. Going to St. Ambrose.
Starting point is 01:08:10 And it's like they rent in South, which is the most expensive, Hampton. It's like, okay, I understand you want to go to Hampton's because that's what people in New York do. So like what, they're not going to go upstate every weekend. But like get a house in Quahog. Like get something closer to the city. Yeah. I don't know why you have to be in Southampton.
Starting point is 01:08:26 We're not seeing anything about Southampton. Even though it doesn't matter at this point, it was just something I noted. Whereas, like, there's nothing Hamptons about this show. And is there relationship drama? Is anyone sleeping with anyone in the cast? So, yeah. So this season, Lexi, who was on the toast yesterday... Stunning girl.
Starting point is 01:08:41 Stunning, beautiful girl. Oh, my God. Inside and out. It was her first season on the show, and she made a very quick connection with Jesse Solomon, who's Wes' best friend, who it's his second season. Immediately sparks flew. It reminded me a lot of Jersey Shore. It's a bad example, but Sam and Ron,
Starting point is 01:08:54 that's why the show's so good, was a bunch of people, and there were a couple people who really connected. That's what's great reality television when you're in a share house. So the whole season is about their relationship. They're really hot and heavy really fast, but he's not ready for a relationship and isn't acting right all the time. And by the end of the summer, they do break up.
Starting point is 01:09:12 But that is the core drama of the summer. And what does Paige get into? She just gives the one-liners and just gives the sass? Pretty much. So last season, she was still with Craig. He came to the house one time for a weekend, which we're used to at this point. He's from Southern Charm, not Southern House.
Starting point is 01:09:30 Some Summer House. He's from Southern Charm, correct. Charleston. That's right. So, but her relationship, they're still together over the summer, so it's a lot about like how she's feeling in the relationship.
Starting point is 01:09:39 Does he come on the show? He does. And every year that they've been together. With the spritz in hand? No, because the show is Loverboy. Oh, that's taboo. It's taboo. They would block it out No, because the show is Loverboy. It's taboo.
Starting point is 01:09:46 They would block it out. Everything on the show is Loverboy. It's a scandal. And we have drama. I know, I know the drama. I know. It's funny to like watch the show and I'm like, oh, that's like, I have beef here. But that's kind of good that you don't watch the show because like if you have like friends
Starting point is 01:09:58 with the cast, it's like weird if you're watching your show all the time. Well, the thing is also I'm very good friends with Hannah Berner and I had no idea. I knew she was on the show, but I didn't know there was a scandal about her, like, getting, I don't know if she got kicked off her fire, something happened. She got pushed out. Pushed out. Allegedly, cause she did a brand deal with Drulli,
Starting point is 01:10:15 and then Loverboy is like, they run the show. Loverboy's problematic, it sounds like. Yeah, they're just, like, there's enough space for everyone. Yeah. And like, it's not like Lover, So Loverboy is on every single episode, hands in hand all the time, all they drink is Loverboy. Is that... Now, as a summer house as a whole owns that? Or one cast member?
Starting point is 01:10:33 So one cast member does. I don't know if Bravo owns any of it, because I remember after Bethany, now Bravo owns a piece of any brand that launches on the show. So I don't know what Bravo's involvement is, but like they don't let really, he doesn't really let anyone bring anything else into the house. Like the whole, every party is stocked by it, like cases on cases.
Starting point is 01:10:50 Like, and why would you even need something else? Can I ask, is Icy Lemonade promoted on Southern Charm? Of Spritz? It's in like, Craig, if he's having the backyard barbecue, like it's there, but it's not like the whole show. Yeah, but Rob is not taking a cut of your sales. No. Good. No, yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:09 So I think sometimes they blur it out. I don't know what that's about. We've signed releases, like go ahead. Who knew the canned cocktail world was so intertwined? There's so much drama in this world. This all went down like a year ago. God. But yeah, it's just sort of like Cold War. Colder cocktails.
Starting point is 01:11:25 True that. I'm gonna target after this. I'm doing a lot of things after this. If I show the picture of me and you to the lady at Target, will I get a free case? Oh my God, I gotta get you a free case. I'll get you some spirits today. Can you send me some lemonade? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:39 Or the pink one? I'll take any flavor. I had pickle before. I don't need that anymore. I still have some left. I'm cracking up. Lemon ice tea and pink lemonade are on their way to you today. I'll tell the boys. You know, we need some. He's got big plans. I do. We have big plans.
Starting point is 01:11:51 Well, thank you so much for participating. Thank you for having me. I'm always happy to come on. Anytime you need me to fill in. Always happy to have you. You need me to fill in at home and watch the kids or, you know, cook up a meal for the fam. Honestly, I do. I do need you to cook me a meal. Okay, good. Maybe make a Reuben. Maybe you will.
