Starting point is 00:00:09 It's Jackson, Claude and neighbor show the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off, swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Friday. She's from Texas, I can tell. By the way, she's throwing that ass around the room. Yeah, that's right.
Starting point is 00:00:35 Jackie's joining us from the Midwest. Is Texas the Midwest or like the Southwest? I think more Southwest. I would say Central. I would say joggers. Central America. I would say, you're calling in from Central America.
Starting point is 00:00:48 Yeah, that's exactly what I would say. I would say so as well. Hey, guys, I took my cojourner Fred to Dallas, and I'm recording from the Dallas studio, which we love. And, like, it's super HD. It's very exciting always to record you. Whenever Jackie records from Dallas,
Starting point is 00:01:01 she makes my studio look like it's filmed on an iPhone. Like, but it's okay. We're having fun. Only one frame today, but I'm bringing the swirletude, and you're sort of bringing that, like, podcast. I am bringing podcast.
Starting point is 00:01:14 I do feel like, do you know what else I brought? I brought a special guest for the show. Granny the cook? I brought Granny the cook, you guys. So as you guys know, Jackie's iPad, which she uses for work, only gets used by the kids when they're on an airplane. And yesterday we were on an airplane. They put it in those like, I'm sure I'll understand one day
Starting point is 00:01:32 why those dumbass cases exist. No, you absolutely need them. I actually thought that I lost Granny the Cook. So I Instacarded more Granny the Cooks, but then I found. the OG Granny. And the OG Granny the Cook has a strap, right? Like a shoulder strap?
Starting point is 00:01:46 She usually has a shoulder strap. That part I did lose, but it was okay. Because when, you know, take off and landing, they can hold their little sides. And then when we're up, you know, 30,000 feet, this comes. It's got a stand. It's got a little stand. Yeah. So this is Granny the Cook in all her glory.
Starting point is 00:02:02 Like Jackie's kids for some reason call the iPad Granny the Cook. It is so funny. The first time I heard them say it, I'm like, what did you just say? It's Granny the Cook. Granny the Cook. And of course I could have taken her off for the show today, but given the fact that we were talking about her this week, the legacy that she has created for herself.
Starting point is 00:02:19 I needed to close the loop on Granny the Cook, and this is her. No, it feels right. Thank you, Granny, for coming. We'll see how it goes having the three co-hosts because we usually are max two, but we'll say. She speaks softly, but carries a big stick. Sleigh, Mama. Slay, Granny.
Starting point is 00:02:39 She is from Texas. I can tell, but I was just watching a video. I don't know if it was like CMA Fest, like one of those. But Ella Lingley was like the headliner. And it got me thinking because, you know, yesterday we were saying how Noah Kahn is like very much in the running for album of beer. You can't even bring him up again on the show because you ruined my day. All day I had that song in my head.
Starting point is 00:02:57 I didn't write the song. Like, telling me what you told me all day I had the song in my head. Did you not know that that's what the song was about? No, I had only, like, experienced that song, much like I experienced other like cutesy songs and Reels. I didn't know it was a new song. I just thought like it was having. a moment where people were just like using it you know there's a bunch of like cute songs like
Starting point is 00:03:15 like that um so i i never stopped like to think about it i didn't really even know the lyrics and then it just like had a moment of like dawning on me like what he was saying and it just it just took over me and it was it was very emotional okay sorry like let's just not even go down that road let's talk about something else oh but we can talk about music because i was i took um i took a car plane no no i i didn't listen to music on the plane but i did um a car service to get to work today because I just didn't want to be anxious. And so it was a controlled environment. I was able to listen to new music.
Starting point is 00:03:46 By car service, do you mean Uber? No, it wasn't an Uber else. I would have just said that. That's why I was like, traditional car service. I was like struggling. Dial 7? Like literally dial 7. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Okay. Wait, what was that dial 7 commercial? Remember they had that jingle that was like borderline antisemitic? Yeah, but not 6666666. Oh yes. 66666. Six, six, six to six. Remember six.
Starting point is 00:04:14 Oh, every afternoon when the clock strikes four, yeah. No, it's like, go to the ride. Now six, ride around town. Moma, town. Shopping or moving. Remember six, the best ride in town for wherever you want to go. Carmel is the number to know. Ride Carmel and be on time.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Worldwide, nationwide, nationwide. Six, six, six, 6666. Was that regional? That was so original. I don't know. They said worldwide and nationwide. Can never. Regional.
Starting point is 00:04:44 Oh, regional. Well, no. I guess I should have called them. Okay, so you were in a car service. You were in a controlled environment. A car service that wasn't a new bird. That wasn't a new bird. It wasn't a new bird.
Starting point is 00:04:52 It wasn't Carmel. Listen to high and sad the full song, Frankie Jonas. Oh. Claudia, it's amazing. I thought you were going to say you listened to Louis Rodriguez. No, I was about to. But then I was like, oh, it's Friday. New Music Friday.
Starting point is 00:05:03 So, like, Sombor has a new song. Yeah, something about his body. Yeah. I listened to it and it was on repeat one because of happy song yesterday. So like I actually wound up listening to it three times. Enjoyable. Didn't add it to liked, but I add high and sad to liked. Then I listened to the new Benson Boone song that Alex Earl music video.
Starting point is 00:05:20 Time of my life. Yeah. It's a really nice song. But you know, it's very, it's kind of slow. It's a ballad. It's not a pussy pop and anthem. That we've come to know from Benson Boone. And that we would expect like Alex Earle.
Starting point is 00:05:34 But I think the music video is very like lyric. musical. Oh, Maddie Ziegler coded. Yeah, yeah, for sure. But she's a dancer now. Yeah, Alex Earl is the new Maddie Ziegler. I think that's fair to say. No, like she is a skilled dancer.
Starting point is 00:05:50 So I want to watch a music video, but that was the extent of my new music Friday. And I will listen to Olivia Rodriguez. I think that for those of us who were watching dance moms in real time, when Sia plucked Maddie Ziegler to be in the chandelier music video, like the world stopped. I just, you really had to be there was such a special moment.
Starting point is 00:06:11 It really was. Those days of like those Sia songs. Of course, the music videos were amazing and Maddie Ziegler was amazing, but like those songs were amazing. We didn't deserve them, you know? No, she was for a brief period of time, time after time releasing
Starting point is 00:06:26 some of the greatest songs ever written. Chandelier. Birds set free. Yeah, alive. Unstoppable. Of course, Queen Corp. Oh my god, Queen Corgi, I miss her. And the fun fact that means I weirdly now know
Starting point is 00:06:41 every single word to unstoppable. Party girls. That's Chandler. Don't get hurt. Oh wait. Portia with no breaks. Yeah, but how does it start? I don't know the words.
Starting point is 00:06:56 I don't know the words. And all through the night time. Yeah, yeah. Okay, sing for us. I put him our arm around. Come on. Oh, sure. Put your arm on.
Starting point is 00:07:08 Come on. I put my armor on. Show you how strong I am. I put my armor on. I'll show you that I, yeah. I'm unstoppable. I'm a Porsche with no brakes. I'm invincible.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Yeah, I win every single game. I'm so powerful. Give the kick. I don't need batteries to play. I'm so confident. Yeah, I'm unstoppable today. Unstop. Like, seriously, I have PTSD.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Let's move on. What else did I want to tell you? I'm feeling, like, so far away from you. I know. We're using Zoom today. Like, ugh. I know. It's so crazy. Just a couple of corporate baddies using Zoom.
Starting point is 00:07:58 It's really amazing what technology can do. Like, I can just be somewhere. I can step on a plane, step off into a new land, and still podcast with my sister that early next morning. Yeah. And let's talk about. technology, like at a glance. It's amazing. It is amazing. And, you know, I feel like sometimes everyone talks about the negatives, right? Like, I've been thinking a lot about Jeff Bezos because
Starting point is 00:08:20 everybody hates him and he's terrible. But like Amazon- And I just want to say I don't hate Jeff Bezos. We would love to be invited on the plane and the boat. Amazon has changed what it means to be alive. Yeah, absolutely. You know what I mean? I see sometimes people writing like love letters to Amazon, like trying to explain the fact that people are such ingrates, like how we can What we have with Amazon, we take so for granted. Think about being a new parent. And instead of running out to like Walgreens and Bye Bye Baby every other day, you get to be home with your child and just things show up at your door.
Starting point is 00:08:52 Yeah, no. We could, of course, talk about like how Amazon is bad for X, Y, and Z because, you know, they literally put Buy, By, Baby out of business. But, yeah, nobody talks enough, like, glowingly. The quality of life improvement, I feel like people are really ungrateful. I completely agree. and it just reminded me I saw the funniest
Starting point is 00:09:13 like Tim Dillon clip about how like we just sort of have to be okay with like all of our billionaires celebrities politicians like everyone's a pedophile so you just have to be like
Starting point is 00:09:22 well what else is the pedophile doing and he was talking about it's a pedophile good for the climate are they passionate about you know giving back are they passionate about you know creating good schools and then he was like
Starting point is 00:09:34 well most of them are it was seriously a star girl do you think all of them You think all? I don't think all of any. I don't think Taylor Swift is a pedophile because she's a billionaire, but I was mostly talking about the men.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Yeah, I don't think all of anything, you know? I think there are definitely exceptions. Of course, of course. But he was just basically being like, yeah, like we need to just have the general understanding. Like, they're there. They're pedophiles. Damn.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Moving on. Like, no. Like no. No, no. And some of them really smell like pedophiles, you know? But the ones who, like, don't have a whiff, I'm just not going to pin that on them just yet. Of course, yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Well, I feel like we should dive in. It's Friday. Oh, sorry, I meant to say. There will be no Lovilin recap today because I did not watch. You didn't? No, I went out. Oh, I saw that you were out. Oh, my God, I didn't even occur to me.
Starting point is 00:10:26 I literally, Granny the Cook and I were watching together. Oh, I'm so sorry. So late because there's a time difference here. Oh, I'm so sorry. I literally wrote in our chat that I wasn't watching. Oh, I missed it because I was ignoring the chat because I was trying to watch I thought everybody was like ahead of me because I'm on a time difference.
Starting point is 00:10:41 You know, I went out and I had a couple of cocktails. Yeah, that's right. I'm a little hungover. Yeah, I drink a little. And I was just not watching it. Like, I felt so free. It's like that Nicole Kidman meme where she's like, obviously, like, just left Tom Cruise
Starting point is 00:10:52 and she's like free. Like, it was freeing. I don't know what happened. I'll try not to watch spoilers. It was lots of chats. It was just chats. Oh, and they got a postcard. What's that?
Starting point is 00:11:02 So they did something new again to try and like drum up the girls to fucking do something. they sent a postcard to the villa from Casa Moore and it's pictures of each of the guys doing something with a girl and they're trying to suss out like, was it in a challenge? Was it not? And some of it's clearly not in the challenge. And then Casa Moore also got pictures of the villa.
Starting point is 00:11:22 And it definitely put... Oh no, did they send the pictures of Trinity and Corey? Yeah. Shit. Yeah. But you know what? Bryce, he literally just won the whole show because he's like he's spiraling at first
Starting point is 00:11:35 and then he's like, you know what? I think he's like, I like her so much. Like I'd rather go back there, fall on my sword and have it not work out and just like risk it all for something that's like love, man. And like. Right. Not just like coming back so you can stay on the show. No.
Starting point is 00:11:50 So like he will be coming back alone, hoping against hope that Trinity has chosen him. They've already won. I'm just letting you know. They've already one. I'm just curious what song they're going to use for their reunion. Like and it's going to become like the song of the summer. I'm letting you know. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Use toast by Claudia Asra, you guys. Like if any of the editors are listening. Also. They shared a. photo of Zach and Alana kissing that was clearly outside of a challenge. Kada is having a breakdown. She's crying like inconsolable.
Starting point is 00:12:15 So I feel as though this season will end up net net. It's already started like being bad for women because there's so much like that needs, there's so much heavy handed production that needs to be done because these girls like will not move away from their original couples and it's like
Starting point is 00:12:31 they're being told they watch the whole thing. They're being told and nothing will get them. Is Casey still talking? Is Anaya still talking about Casey? She was, but then there's a picture of him kissing Tierra, like, by the pool, clearly just like, it couldn't be more clear that they're, like, kissing during the day. And then the girls are, are spiling. And then that night, like, Melanie comes to Kada and Anaya and, like, says literally what all of us are saying. Like, you guys, we are being played. We look stupid. We look desperate. And we're sitting over here being like, my man, my man, like, I think he'll
Starting point is 00:12:58 come back. We need to actually go and explore and try. We should all cuddle tonight with our guys and give these guys a real chance. But what's funny, yeah, it was a very empowering moment. Also, Kenzie said a similar thing to them earlier in the day, and it was like they needed to hear it. They were like, wow, Kenzie. And it was actually really poignant. Also, it's funny because Corvin's talking to Casey,
Starting point is 00:13:23 and they're like seriously two dumb bitches telling each other exactly. But he was like, I don't want to be mean, but like the Casa girls are like college girls. And the Villa girls are like, high school girls. Oh, he's a pedophile. Who thinks like that? No, like in terms of maturity, you know?
Starting point is 00:13:40 And then, but what's funny is that at the villa, one of them was saying, like, the villa boys are, like, are boys, and the casa boys are men. So they actually all agree that, like, were the immature ones, these are the mature ones. But then if you think about it,
Starting point is 00:13:54 it's like the immature should be together. Yeah, of course. Like, the blind leading the blind. Yeah. So maybe I'll just skip the episode because I feel like I just got, like, a download. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:04 It was like a lot of chats, a lot of people talking about chats and like trying to have more chats and thinking about going to go doing more chats. Conversations about conversations. Yeah. And then they did get the postcard. And Zach is flipping because he knows that Kate has seen a picture of him and Alana because that's what everybody got. The boy's got a postcard too. The boy's got a postcard too. And he saw a picture of Kada and Che kissing clearly in a challenge.
Starting point is 00:14:25 So he knows that like she's acting right. And he knows that she got Alana and him kissing outside of a challenge. And Alana's gone. And he was like, oh, what did they say? Alana has left the villa. That's all. And then when Zach was like, I'm going to. That's when Zach was like, I'm going to be going back alone for nothing.
Starting point is 00:14:46 And she's going to be mad. And she's going to, yeah, exactly. And she might like. Okay, that's good. Yeah, so there's something brewing between. The postcard is a very good move. They're trying anything. They're trying anything to break up these like ramshackled couples.
Starting point is 00:14:58 Yeah, it's really crazy. I think the only people who should stay where they are. I do think Zach and Keda, as much. which is, you know, he says weird stuff and there's red flags there. I think they like each other so much. They've had a good time and no one's going to come. I think they should choose each other again. I do.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Yeah. Melanie and sincere. Question mark. He's a bad guy. And I just want to say at one point I thought that they were really right for each other. But she is definitely evolving. I don't know if she just had a weird start. But she's not the girl that I thought she was.
Starting point is 00:15:27 And she hasn't shown her crazy side again. And we'll see if that remains to be the case. But like, I actually think now. Now at one point they deserved each other. And I don't think anybody deserves sincere. Like he's actually scary. I think that they should pick each other because I think even if she brings back someone else, it's still going to be about Melanie and sincere.
Starting point is 00:15:44 And then, you know, it's just another soul. And they just like, and so I think they're just going to come back to each other. So just be with each other and like stop using people and wasting their time and hurting their feelings. And then Ani and Casey, if she does not pick Carl, oh my God, the biggest L of the century. Of the century. I pick Carl. I pick Carl. You better pick Carl.
Starting point is 00:16:02 You better. Yeah. Well, you know what? I'm glad that I watch even though you didn't because I feel like the next few days I'm not going to be watching. I'm going to have to catch up so much. So it's like one less episode to have to catch up on. Okay, great. And we got a little recap there.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Anyway, let's type into the stories. We also have Queenie and Weenie. So let's do it. Okay. Without further a do-da-d-do, it is time for the fast five stories that yida-do need to know. Today's episode of the toast is brought to you by Salt Project. A new brand. We're super excited to tell you about today.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Salt Project is owned by a fellow toaster, a mom of two, who started the company after she went on a health journey, and that inspired her to get active and prioritize feeling good in her own skin. Yes, the parent trap is actually a great call. I got the like over, like, it's like a windbreaker type of jacket thing. And it's so Meredith Blake on the hike. Their collections are known for selling out very quickly, so we wanted to give toasters a heads up before launch day.

Starting point is 00:19:14 Thanks, Tert Organics. You're welcome. I am organic. You are. You're in your crunchy era. Really? I actually think I'm not. and any sort of crunchy
Starting point is 00:19:25 part of me like I've really reverted. Really? I feel like when I first became mom I was like, you know, I really understand the crunch lifestyle and like, yeah, let's do it all. But I don't know, it's too much work. It's too much work.
Starting point is 00:19:43 Small changes, ma. I made a cassidia last night and that's like obviously a big deal for me because I don't cook and I did mess up the first one. I've never made a case to D before and like you make it in a pan. Yeah, what'd you think? I personally don't like.
Starting point is 00:19:54 casidias. No, no, sorry. How did you think you make them? Well, I was hoping like I had a pinini press, but I didn't. Oh, you know, I have a pinini press and I think the cassidias actually come out better in the pan. But like the grill lines, like, yeah, we don't have grill lines. There's no texture. We don't grill lines. But I guess it depends what kind of casadier you're making. When I make them for the kids, like they're rather thin. So like the pinnini press is too hard. I made cassidias for Ruby, like the first time ever and he loved it so much. I've never been so happy. Like, I felt amazing. Ruben, moving, shoot. He loved it so much. He ate almost like an entire cassidia and I was so happy.
Starting point is 00:20:26 And first time I made it, like I sprinkled cheese and then I put the other tortilla on top. By the time it was done, like all the cheese melted and it was like nothing inside. It's a thin. It was so thin. He was basically just eating bread. So I made a second one. Cete. Of course, I used all your ingredients.
Starting point is 00:20:41 Oh, good. And then I made a second one with like three times. I put the whole bag of cheese in it because I'm like, you need to have some proteins. It's like dinner. Yeah. So, yeah, I made a cassidia. It's like literally not a big deal. No, not a big deal.
Starting point is 00:20:52 Such a great dinner. like for when, you know, when there's nothing for dinner, but you want to make dinner. You don't want to, like, order. And, like, we're going away for the summer in, like, a few days. So you're not buying things. For the last week, I've been so cardboard. Oh, gosh.
Starting point is 00:21:05 Yeah, no, I've been really nuts. I'm like, don't bring anything home. And Ben went out, like, literally this is insane cardboard. Ben, when I saw lunch with his mom. You need to make a video. You need to make, like, a funny reel of, like, cardboard things, like the log in the app girl. Cardboard things.
Starting point is 00:21:18 Oh, oh. Okay, ready? This would be one of them. Ben went to lunch with his mom at like a kosher spot. So whenever we go kosher, I'm like, bring stuff home because like it's pre-made food that we don't have to make. I'm literally like, take your scraps home. Ben brought home half a sandwich. But this is not cardboard.
Starting point is 00:21:34 It's not money. I just like hate, I hate waste. Yeah. Yeah. You do. You're kind of zero waste. I, no, I'm not zero waste. I just feel really bad about my waste.
Starting point is 00:21:42 I hate wasting stuff. That's why I'm like not. I'm kind of like a commie influencer. Don't send me gifting unless I expressly asked for it. Oh, you guys know how she feels about this. Don't get me started on my gift. It's so fucking wasteful. I give it all away.
Starting point is 00:21:53 Seriously. Like, I give it all away. You send me gifting that I didn't ask for. It goes right to a local place or someone in my life. And she also harbors a hatred against the brand. It's true. I will hate you forever and I will never post you. If you, I don't, if you like sneakily get my address.
Starting point is 00:22:09 It's a punishment to her. It's a punishment. And you know what's so funny is that the first brand, not the first, but like there was actually only been one brand that's ever crossed over. The first time ever I got a package from a company. It was this huge box of clothes And I was like, are you fucking kidding me? I have no space for this.
Starting point is 00:22:25 I didn't, I've never heard of the bed. I never asked for it. I put it in the corner of my closet. It had like merch and it said like boys lie on it. And I wouldn't wear it. And if I did wear it, I would say, nobody take a picture of me. I was like so mad.
Starting point is 00:22:36 They're the only ones who crossed over. Now I like request gifting because I love it. So yeah, sometimes it's a good way to discover new brands. Like I'm sad. I know all the brands that I like, don't send me crap. It goes right to an organization. Yeah. Boisely.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Boisley. Boysly days are numbered. I actually think I'm done. You know, because they ask, what does everything say? What does that say? What does that say? I'm not going to say boys lie. And you can't lie because you want them to learn how to read.
Starting point is 00:23:02 Right, right, right. Like, B-O-Y, like, you know that letters. Like, that's, like, I'm done. I'm out. Yeah. If they'll make stuff that doesn't say a huge boys lie across a bit, I'll wear that. Yeah. But unfortunately, my watch has ended.
Starting point is 00:23:16 Okay. This is time of no season for a reason. Yeah, there is. I'm happy for everyone else who still gets to wear it. Let's get into the stories. First up, Tom Sandoval's girlfriend, Victoria Robinson, has been arrested after he has accused her and her dad of attacking him. So Tom Sandoval filed a request for a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, Victoria
Starting point is 00:23:38 Robertson, following her arrest earlier this month. He requested a domestic violence restraining order against her, whom he has been dating since early 2024. Sandoval claims that she verbally and physically abused him on June 3rd. according to court filings obtained by people. Sandoval claimed that during a night out on June 3rd, Robinson punched him in the face, injuring his neck and ear. He claims the impact of her punch was so forceful it caused his vision to blur and lasting pain.
Starting point is 00:24:03 During the same incident, he further alleged that her father lunged at him in his inebriated state and punched a hole in his bedroom door. Robinson was arrested on a charge of intimate partner battery with physical violence and released on bond the same day. Sandoval subsequently requested a domestic violence restraining order against. the dad too. So I saw the video and I don't know if there's
Starting point is 00:24:25 if this arrest and incident covers anything outside of the video but based on what I saw on the video like team dad like sorry Tom Sandoval touched his daughter bitch get the fuck out of my way and then Tom Sandoval shoved him into the fire pit. I saw that the headline that he shoves him
Starting point is 00:24:42 into the fire pit and after he shoves him into the fire pit Tom Sandoval goes running into the house like running scared and the dad's like absolutely not and then I saw a picture of like a hole in the wall that the dad had punched. Like, yeah, you touch my daughter. I'm punching a hole in your fucking face. Oh, interesting. I didn't see a video, so I didn't know any of this.
Starting point is 00:24:56 I saw the hole in the wall. So here's what happens in the video. I thought girly did the hole in the wall. So the dad and Tom Sandoval are arguing. I don't know what it's about. All verbal. The guy's sitting down. The daughter and the dad are sitting by the fire pit.
Starting point is 00:25:07 Tom comes out of the house. They're arguing. They're arguing. The dad gets up. Tom Sandoval, they're fighting now standing up. And then Tom Sandoval looks at the daughter who's sitting just sort of watching the whole thing. And he's like, are you filming me?
Starting point is 00:25:17 She might have been. And he like goes to her and I don't know if they're wrestling for the phone, but he's like being physical with the girl. He's a man standing up. She's a girl sitting down. The dad immediately puts hands on Tom. Tom shoves him into the fire pit and runs into the house while the guy is like literally on fire. Where is this footage from? Like a ring camera.
Starting point is 00:25:38 While the dad is like tumbling out of the fire pit, Tom Sanibald runs into the house. And then the dad runs back into the house. That's where the footage ends. chasing Tom Sandoval. I assume it gets physical. I assume that's where the hole in the wall came from. And I just want to say, like, team father. And then when did she punch him in the face?
Starting point is 00:25:56 So they said what you just read is that that was like a different incident on a night out. Okay. So there's just like a lot of assault happening. Yeah. I know Tom Sandoval. I've known him for many years. I mean, basically, I watch his whole life on TV for 10 years. So I know, I know him.
Starting point is 00:26:15 I know him like offline. Yeah, and when I tell you, there is not one more crazy unhinged individual. But he's never really been, like, physical, right? So I don't know if this is, like, a situation where he's like, I think that, like, maybe this was a heated argument and whatever. But I think I know he's, like, very evil and manipulative. So I can see him using the police report and all claiming to be a victim of abuse. I could see him using that as, like, manipulatory things with his girlfriend. because do I think that like Tom Sandoval is a victim of domestic violence
Starting point is 00:26:51 consistently like from this three pound girlfriend? I don't. Sorry. Like for me to believe that a man is being physically abused by a woman, I just, I need a little bit more proof. I'm not, I'm really not trying to be like a bitch. But I saw the picture that he like gave to the police of like him being punched in the eye. He had like a little yellow bruise by his eye. Like I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:27:08 Sorry. Yeah, I don't know. Is that bad to say? I don't know. Like it's really hard to pontificate on these matters because I don't. know the girl, I don't know their situation, I don't know who's starting stuff, but it just, it's very trashy. And that's of course not to say that like men can't be victims of physical abuse. No, I know what you're saying, but like I just, I have no idea what's going on here, so I'm not
Starting point is 00:27:29 going to just start like railing against someone because I have no idea. And the words of Aviva Dresher, you're both my trash right. Yeah, no, this is like seriously trashy stuff. Yeah, right. Like, and and, and so I don't need to like get in the mud and like, I, and I don't even know, I don't even know what's going on. So I hope these two, like, people can get their act together in general, you know, and like stop. Yeah, I don't even want to say my next sentence. I don't know if it's like a mutually toxic relationship. Consistent situation.
Starting point is 00:27:57 I don't know if it's mutual. Like, I don't know if there's just one or they're both or I don't know. I feel like a situation I keep, like, comparing it to it was Taylor Frankie Paul because, like, that's a recent situation where like a woman has been accused of being physically violent. But like, I saw the video and like she was being physically violent. So it was easier to believe it because I saw it. Yeah, but also like holding space for the. the fact that he's probably participating in some way and that's just not on video. He brought her to that place.
Starting point is 00:28:19 Right, right. So it's like it's hard to say. Yeah. It's hard to judge. I just Like, I wonder why Tom Sanneval isn't on the Valley. He's so crazy. Like, he's perfect for television. Yeah, but he's not in the life stage of the Valley. Oh, right. That's why. Yeah. Yeah. And people are done with him. Yeah. I don't think he performed well on like E's house of villains.
Starting point is 00:28:44 No, but I think he did good on, Traders and special forces. Nobody watches special forces. That's the problem. But I do remember him having an impact on traitors. Are you ready for our next story? Yeah. Emma Roberts is returning for Aquamarine TV series 20 years after the movie.
Starting point is 00:29:02 So this is very exciting news. Emma Roberts is joining Aquamarine TV show at Disney Plus and she will be acting in it and executive producing. She will guest star as Claire Brown. who is her original character. And what about Sarah Paxton? I didn't see anything about Sarah Paxton, but I feel like Jojo will do it.
Starting point is 00:29:26 I don't know why I got that vibe. Aquamarine is amazing. The kids of today, the mentally ill youth, like they need Aquamarine. They need those seashell earrings with spring compliments in their ear because they're all insecure and they just get like bullied online.
Starting point is 00:29:39 So nobody's telling them how great they are. They need the earrings. They need Robert. The hottie with a body. Hotted with the swimmer's body Like it's just It was the best movie And it was so pure and like sweet
Starting point is 00:29:51 And like girlfriends And like beach town Like it was amazing And yeah that's what these kids need These kids need a lot And you know this is a good start And she actually has a great track record Of producing stuff
Starting point is 00:30:01 Tell me Lice of course Everything she does is good So love this And like I love that it's a nod to her You know OG I mean when's the Unfabulous reboot When's the Unfabulous Reboot It's better
Starting point is 00:30:13 Unfabulous And as much as I would like to see original ideas out into this world, I wouldn't. Knowing we're not going to have original ideas and we're going back into the archives, like definitely. Or adapting books. Definitely reboot stuff like this, you know? If that's what we're doing now is like picking up old stuff, like do the best of the best,
Starting point is 00:30:33 like aquamarine. Yes, this is definitely. And I love that when Emma went back into her catalog of like childhood projects to revitalize, like this is what she chose like, yes. Yeah. Yeah. She's a mother herself, you know, she knows that the kids need this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:48 She probably also believes that the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. You know, I do really relate and see a lot of myself in Jenna Maroney from 30 Rock. Especially when I sing that song. Especially when you sing. Yeah, like her, my don't rain on my parade is her, I believe the children are our future. I love her. It's time to watch 30 Rock.
Starting point is 00:31:10 Actually, watching Four Seasons really gave me the Tina Faye itch. Oh. What do you, what else? Oh, hmm. I wonder if there's anything with Tina Faye that we haven't watched yet. You know what I mean? We're like big consumers of Tina Faye's work, but I wouldn't say I'm like an enormous Tina Faye stand.
Starting point is 00:31:28 She's not like my idol, but I guess like she kind of is. Mean girls, I'm sorry. Whoever was responsible for me and girls, which is literally Tina Faye is the most brilliant person in the world. And that's Tina Faye, Jackie. I think that we need to add her to the list of like dream guests. She's kind of our idol.
Starting point is 00:31:43 I know. She really gets us. Our favorite things. She really gets us. Should we read her book? Maybe. Also, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Correct.
Starting point is 00:31:52 Like, she's never done, there's not like a cult classic of hers that we don't know and love. Yeah. Yeah. What else does she do? Sisters. Did she do Mean Girls, too? No, no, no. Good.
Starting point is 00:32:07 She did, she has a lot of movies. Oh, she did Girls 5 of Evo. I just want to say, I never watched it. People loved it. Really? Yeah. Mm. And now I'm saying, it's like, for me, she's a Mindy Kling.
Starting point is 00:32:22 Like, I know I'm going to like what she does. Yeah, I agree with. Oh, and only murder. Oh, no, she was in only murders. Yeah, a lot of people are in only murders. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:33 Add her to the list. Add her to the list, yeah. Are you ready for our next story? Some more content news. It's been a content heavy week. It must have been like, you know, up front. Launch day. Shrek spin-off, donkey.
Starting point is 00:32:43 sets 2028 release date. Like obviously I know this. I follow Olivia Ashtray on Instagram. She posted all the, she always posted the breaking news in the Shrek world. Because wasn't there just other Shrek news? Shrek 5 is coming? Yes, we're having another Shrek. Yeah, so I found that out from Olivia's Instagram stories. And then, yeah, I know this ready.
Starting point is 00:33:00 Like, yeah. Yeah, and we said, like, she better be invited to the premiere of Shrek 5. And she better be invited to the premiere of Donkey. If there's influencer budget, like, for the promotion of, and they're using, like, mom influencers, like, bitch, hire my mom. I mean, hire Olivia. She's also my mom. You know what?
Starting point is 00:33:16 I got invited to something that I'm not going to, but that like I was invited to the right thing, you know. And that I would say like I should be invited to. Forward it to Olivia. No, no, no. She's not going to go either. But I was invited to what was it? Is it? Hold on.
Starting point is 00:33:33 Now that I'm thinking about it, like doesn't make sense. One second. But I just want to like give credit because I thought it was so pargy. a special screening of Moana. But didn't Moana? Oh, the live action Moana. Oh, yeah. I saw what's his name in the studio. Oh, yeah. And like the cast and the filmmakers are going to be there.
Starting point is 00:33:53 And like, you know, hockey me is such a big part of our lives. Wait, Moana is the girl's name. What's Dwayne Johnson's name? Of course, sorry. I was like, why is the movie named after him? No, it's named after the girl, of course. Yeah, so like, that's the sort of stuff I should be going to. I'm actually really shocked that there's never been a donkey spinoff. He is far and away. The breakout star. He's the breakout star. Everything that people quote from Shrek is from him.
Starting point is 00:34:16 And in the morning, I'm making waffles. And I watched Eddie Murphy's documentary, which you guys know I love to bring up. And I know how much, you know, Shrek is, like, beloved to him because it makes him so much money and he never has to leave the house. It's literally a dream job. So, Slay, yeah, I would love to. Honestly, sometimes, you know who annoys me in Shrek is Shrek. I like Donkey. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:34 Well, he, it's going to be like an origin story of how a donkey became Donkey and Eddie Murphy will be voicing donkey. No, I love that. And you want to know what? Donkey's a good role model for these kids. Like, yes, of course, Trekk, but he's like loki Fabissina a lot. And I don't know, the way he lives his life is a little unhealthy. So I think that donkey, who's like this really positive figure, is just what the youth needs. Yeah, I like it.
Starting point is 00:35:01 We'll watch that in my house. We love don't. A thousand percent. I endorse. Me too. Even like Puss and Boots got his own movies. Right. And like he was so not the brink.
Starting point is 00:35:10 breakout character. No, but he had Riz. He did. Yeah. Well, that's exciting for Olivia. Yeah, it is. For Olivia. Also, more content news.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Vampire Diaries reunion, Nina DeBreve and Paul Wellesley. Okay, DeBreve. So, are you all right? Are you reuniting for you deserve to know adaptation. What's that book? I don't know, but it's an Alex Cooper production. Wait, I like the cover. Not to judge a book by.
Starting point is 00:35:36 Yeah, it looks like every cover. I know, which, like, which is good. Let me go look it up. I don't know the book and I never watched Vampire Diaries so this like genuinely did not start my heart rate at all but it to me it's more interesting in like the Alex Cooper saga I'm so interested in my
Starting point is 00:35:50 I didn't realize this was Alex Cooper I also when I saw the headline that they're reuniting I just assumed like vampire Diaries reboot but no a brand new suspense novel Neighbors Gwen Amy and Lisa share more than playdates and coffee mornings on their Trinkles Street in East Bethesda oh this is so us yeah they confide their deepest secrets
Starting point is 00:36:08 navigate the challenges of motherhood together and provide it supports the system, it seems unbreakable. But when Gwen's husband, I don't want to spoil it, but it's a thriller. I'm reading that. I think Nina's probably Gwen. I'm reading that. Yeah, this is an Alex Cooper production. So, yeah, I never watched.
Starting point is 00:36:22 This does nothing for me. Like, I don't know the book. I don't know vampire diaries. But you can't keep a good girl down. Like, sorry, say what you guys want about Alex Cooper. Like, she does not give a fuck. Yeah. Wait, I didn't even see that it's a, oh, yeah, unwell production.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Okay, cool. I just have a new book to read. Even though I started the new Redheads book. we're reading the new Anne Patchett novel because we're very like intelligent women. What's Ann Patchett? Am I supposed to know what that is? She's just like a very highbrow author, contemporary author, you know, like just like, Slay Mama. And we've like not, we haven't read her for the Redheads, but we had read another one of her books, The Dutch House. And so she just came out with a book called Whisper.
Starting point is 00:37:01 And that's what we're reading this month for the Redheads. Okay. Keep it a literary over there. We sort of like do it all. They come in so many different flavors because again, flavors are so personal. Some of the flavors include strawberry, mango, coconut, pineapple, watermelon, new black cherry. They take two or more fruit flavors, swirl them together to create one bar like cherry limeade, pinia colada, tropical breeze, and now they have blueberry lemonade. Every bite tastes like you're biting into a ripe piece of juice.

Thanks, turt wide. You're welcome. Our fifth and final story, Mitchell Muso is explaining why he wasn't.
Starting point is 00:40:00 So funny that you said this because I was going to say, did you see Mitchell Muso went on a podcast? Joe Muzzo went on a podcast and explained why he declined to do the Hannah Montana reunion. So he went on the Joe Volpest podcast. And he said he wanted the anniversary to include the actors stepping back into their roles. But when it wasn't presented that way, he opted not to participate. He said when he was asked of what he would want to pass roles he'd want to step back into, he said probably Hannah with everybody. I wanted it to be like that too for the 20th anniversary.
Starting point is 00:40:31 The kid in me was like banking on it. I can't wait for us all to be on set again and it just didn't work out that way. Do something other than what was done. Set's still there. He said they just did it differently and it is what it. They did it differently and it and it is what it is. But it wasn't the right thing and I was busy doing something that was more important, right? But it would have been way more important if it would have just been an episode or a movie or whatever.
Starting point is 00:40:53 Of course that would have been more important. It would have been everything. I would have dropped everything. Eat, breathe, sleep it. I'm there early. I'm flying in three days. I'm going to be there. Yeah, it didn't turn out that way.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Of course they asked me. But like I said, it wasn't presented correctly. And I've been waiting 10 years, you know? The people, they say 20. My break's been 10. So it's too long of a way to do it in a way that isn't even close to, in my opinion, correct? I'm going to just try and say this in the nicest way possible. That was a struggle.
Starting point is 00:41:26 Well, of course. And let's say like his retelling of the events is true. him it wasn't how he envisioned it and he said no and this is like that's what happened like seriously who the fuck do you think you are like you're telling me you declined this because like your artistic vision for what the production have been didn't align with like Disney and Miley's like okay so don't come like you're only put you think you're punishing us I didn't even know you weren't there like this is so strange I have to imagine he's lying about even being asked like I don't think he's like Disney approved anymore he had like a run him with the law
Starting point is 00:42:02 And he was very manic on this episode. Like it was really... I mean, even just reading that was a struggle. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like he was asked. But also, that's me just like believing what he says. And I guess the way that it was presented wasn't compelling enough for him to take time away from his busy schedule.
Starting point is 00:42:20 He said he was working on something like really important. Genuinely for Mitchell Muso, what is more important than the Hannah Montana reunion special? No, but he said that if it was, you know, another episode... Done in his artistic way. That would have been more important. I don't know. These are like very... of a madman.
Starting point is 00:42:34 Exactly. I also feel like Emily Osmond not being there and Mitchell Muso being there would have been bad. I feel like once Emily couldn't have come Mitchell's invitation was rescinded. Was Rico there?
Starting point is 00:42:45 No. He's too cool for school. The Haddon Montana special was good but it was missing a lot of stuff. Yeah. Yeah. I guess it wouldn't have made it any better for me to see those characters
Starting point is 00:42:55 but it just would have felt more like everybody's still good and, you know, happy. I didn't want to make up the fact that he was arrested. He was arrested in 23. According to police, he allegedly took a bag of chips from a hotel market without paying, became verbally abusive when asked to pay, was found outside by officers who said he showed sign of intoxication and then was arrested on charges including public intoxication and theft under $100 and several traffic-related violations. He was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
Starting point is 00:43:24 In a statement released afterward, Muso said, what I thought had become a harmless prank was in fact misunderstood. I hate when that happens. Then the charges were dismissed a few months later. Okay. Still, like erratic stuff. Yeah, I thought it was worse than it was. So maybe like that,
Starting point is 00:43:43 that wouldn't get you kicked off the Disney lot. No, no. And it's Disney Plus, you know? Yeah, so for adults. Yeah, we cuss a little. Yeah, they cuss a little. He's just like a crazy one to me. And it's like an unwell production.
Starting point is 00:43:58 You know, they're rated R. It was a gluck-luck production. It was a gluck-l-l-l-l-l-l-cduction. Yeah, so, like, I think they could handle a little Mitchell-Muso. Mitchelmuso's bag of chips. Skipping out on his hotel bill. Not even, on a bag of chips. I'm cracking up.
Starting point is 00:44:15 Well, Mitchell Muso, thanks for sharing your truth with us. We have enjoyed it. Let's dive into Queenie and Weenie. Our final segment of the final episode of the week. Jackie and I like to round out the weeks in a more wholesome, very conclusive way. Take a look back, right? We give out two awards. Queenie of the Week and Weenie.
Starting point is 00:44:30 of the week. They're pretty self-explanatory. Did you act like a queenie this week? Well, you might be deserving of queen of the week. Did you act like a major weenie this week? Well, you're probably going to be we're winning of the week. Now, it's a seven-day title. It's not that serious. Don't be upset. Let's start into queenie of the week, right? We usually do that first. I'll go. My queenie of the week is not a person. It's not a place. It is a thing. Is it Granny the cook? No. Oh, that's my? No. Grant of the cook is not. No. Well, Granny the Cook provides entertainment and joy to few. The thing that I'm making Queenie of the week
Starting point is 00:45:07 provided entertainment and joy to so many. Drizzalicious. It was a Patreon episode we recorded yesterday. Oh, my gosh. I was going to bring this up after Queenie and Weenie. So, perfect. So Jackie and I set out, like we do five times a month to record a podcast yesterday.
Starting point is 00:45:20 We try and come up with, like, funny, different segments, you know, we have some installments we like. But usually, I would say four to five of the episodes are month or like new original ideas or blogs. And one of the ideas, that had actually been suggested to us by a Patreon member was going back and listening to old dear toasters episodes and like seeing if we read the submission,
Starting point is 00:45:38 give advice to the girl and then listen to what we said in like 2019 and see if we give the same advice. And we knew we were going to like, you know, not probably agree with ourselves. You know, new life experiences. Right, we were just wives then, now we're moms. Where the episode ended up going was so not what I thought was going to happen.
Starting point is 00:45:55 I think that we have never released a funny or podcast episode ever. and I'm not just saying that because it's behind a paywall. Like, I'm sorry it is. We were, when I got to Mahjong, all my eye makeup was off. I looked so scary. We were hysterically crying, laughing so hard. The episode was so, we ended up listening to segments from May 2020, like, after we had
Starting point is 00:46:17 been canceled. And so, like, we're listening to this episode where we're just, like, very clearly so afraid to get canceled. Like, we are being so lame and, like, giving the worst advice. I don't want to spoil it. We are laughing so hard. hard. It was therapeutic. We were like crying too. I wasn't sure if I was laughing or crying. It was very cathartic. It was hands down the funniest thing. I made, when I got home for my dinner last night,
Starting point is 00:46:39 I was so tired. I made Ben watch like the last 20 minutes. We were howling in bed. Yeah. So here's the thing. It's up to you guys to judge if this is the funniest episode of all time. Like that's for you to say. What I know is that I have never laughed harder on this show than recording that episode. I had a cramp. I had a cramp. I think the, only time that compares is like Robert Flats. Yeah, yeah. That's what I was like, or like Queen Elizabeth Halloween episode. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:07 In terms of how much I laughed. Robert Flats was like one laugh. Like this was rolling. Everything was funnier than the next. We couldn't talk. Half the episode is silent. We were just laughing. So you guys have to listen to it, Patreon.com slash the toes.
Starting point is 00:47:19 It was, it was hysterical. That was my queenie. Like yesterday, I was just like, I kept thinking about it afterwards and like laughing in the street. Yeah, no, me too. I watched like, I didn't have my headphones, so I just like watch it on silent. I wanted to like see us laughing. It was so funny.
Starting point is 00:47:37 And the comments agree. It's not just like us anymore funny. The reviews are in. The reviews are in. My queenie is Granny the cook. You know, she's had a big week. I think people really thought it was so funny the whole, because it is so funny when you think about it. It is.
Starting point is 00:47:49 She's Granny the cook. And the fact that by Friday, she's made it to the show, you know, just sort of coincidentally, I think is very special. And I'm glad that Granny's had her shine. I'm glad you know what? Granny's deserved love to. They do. Now, my weenie of the week is actually somebody who embodies the word weenie.
Starting point is 00:48:05 So textbook definition. And you know what? He could have been weenie of the week last week. But I gave Grace. I wanted to see part two of that DoorDash commercial. Now that I've seen it and then the reports that he's upset about the Father's Day, like this has been such a bad month for Brooklyn Becca. I didn't think I could hold a lower opinion of him, but I keep finding myself holding it.
Starting point is 00:48:27 I think he's a loser. I think he's a spoiled brat. I think he's not smart. That was not a good move. I think he's so disrespectful. And I think he's a weenie. I agree with that. I was also when I was thinking about
Starting point is 00:48:42 like Noah Khan's song yesterday. It's like he writes a song like that for his mom and like Brooklyn Wickum like does that. Does a direct commercial. Like sick. Even though he doesn't need the money. Sick. Even though like he should be an app.
Starting point is 00:48:52 He's a nepo son and a nepo husband. He should be an astronaut and his mother should be the moon. Absolutely. No, it's disgraceful. Disgraceful. My weenie is a callback to I remembered who I wanted to weanify at the beginning of the week. And it's the girls in the villa shouting fuck you at Casa and Jesus splits. Kenzie was a runner up.
Starting point is 00:49:13 But so much has happened since that episode. Yeah, but it's like I, you know, the weanedom was like that moment. That moment was incredibly weenie. And I don't want to say like Kenzie's weenie because I think she has like good moments and bad moments. But like that moment. Another moment that deserves weenie. is Anaya saying I miss my man. Like that was genuinely shocking.
Starting point is 00:49:31 Yeah, that was hard to watch. Lots of moments worth crowning. Yeah. Brooklyn and Kenzie take it all. Brooklyn and what are they calling it? The clam slam. The clam slam heard round the world. The thing is, like later on in that Orgy Challenge
Starting point is 00:49:49 when she had to do her dance, like I understood why she was like upset. She didn't get, like she has this dance like choreographed and prepared and she was practicing it before and she knew the guys were going to cost us. I understood why she just wanted to get her splits out. Like she's proud of it.
Starting point is 00:50:02 Yeah. No, and yeah. And I think that like, you know, other girls, they have this or they have that. And like, what she has is like, she's an amazing dancer and she can do the splits. And like,
Starting point is 00:50:10 that's her moment to shine. I'm glad she, like, admitted that. She was like, I was excited to show off because like, that is the truth. You were about to show off. And the fact that it was taken away from her.
Starting point is 00:50:18 Like, I think was just really hard for her to process. Because she was about to like, you know, probably rise the ranks a little bit. Yeah, get a higher Q score. Yeah. Well, that's our show. It's been a great week. It really has.
Starting point is 00:50:31 Next week is a little, what days are we doing shows next week? Just Monday Tuesday. And actually, I'm out on Monday. Oh, are you? Yeah, I'm out on Monday. Oh, let me see if I can find, I'll bring Ben, but let me see if I can bring like a Pargy co-host. Yeah, I meant to remind you that I took off.
Starting point is 00:50:48 I totally forgot. So I'll find someone. So Monday is co-host. so that'll be fun. Tuesday is... Togetherness. Together. And then we're off for the holiday weekend. And we'll be back on the following Monday together in person,
