Starting point is 00:00:09 It's Jackson, Claude and favorite show the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off, swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to the toast and happy Wednesday. It is Toast Summer Merch Drop Day. Yeah, that's right. Toes Summer Merch Drop drops today.
Starting point is 00:00:33 Yodeling is your culture? That's not yodeling. That's a Moroccan. I'm Moroccan. I'm Moroccan. I'm Sabrina Carpenter. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:00:42 Merch shop. Everyone. On shoptersmerge.com. Shoptoesmerge.com. We've got phonecases. We've got hats. We've got two of our iconic one-size t-shirts and two new pargy ass designs. I wore them to the park today yesterday.
Starting point is 00:00:54 Everyone was talking about it. I'm wearing right now the swirly lavender set in size extra large, nice and cozy. Highly recommend sizing up if you're looking for more of an oversized look. I'm wearing the sweater of the summer, I would say. By the way. This cream, quarterneck with a beautiful blue emblem. Quarterneck? Quarter-zip.
Starting point is 00:01:13 Half sip. The way I envision this sweater being worn this summer, if I may paint a picture to set the scenes. In addition to wearing it as you would wear a sweater, the way I'm wearing it today with matching cream pants, cream shoes and just like a beautiful, relaxed, elegant look, I would say. I could see this sweater also being worn for like a tennis country club look on top of your tennis dress with your golf wares. A scort. Maybe around your shoulders, maybe around your waist.
Starting point is 00:01:41 I really also see it being big. in the active space as a way to dress up your active look. That's how I see you. That's how Jacks sees it. Everything is available to shop as you're listening to this episode. The website is shop toestmerch.com. I know a lot of you guys go to armez.com because it's confusing. It's very confusing.
Starting point is 00:02:00 And we're wrong for that. Yes. Sorry that our designs and our quality are so similar to that of the brand Hermes that we're so often confused for them. The lead time is similar as well. The lead time is similar. It's custom. It's custom.
Starting point is 00:02:13 It's waitlisted, exclusive. So we have such an exciting morning with our summer merch launch. We're very excited. I didn't want to delay today's episode, but like if you hear alarms going off on my phone throughout the episode, like I'm busy while I'm recording this episode. It's 9.30 right now. Nick's sick of tickets because I'm going tonight, bitch.
Starting point is 00:02:31 I don't have tickets, but I'm going. Vrelle dropped off a blue chenelle bag. They're like, we heard you're going to the game here, wear this blue cheneal bag. I'm like, that's great. Do you guys also have tickets? I'm going. It's tonight. 10 a.
Starting point is 00:02:41 What kind of bag? Blue Chanel. It's sick. I'll show you. I'll show you. What's a bag? It's actually like a square shape. I had never seen it before.
Starting point is 00:02:48 I'll show you. It was sick. Are they letting bags in the stadium? Oh, yes. That was just when the president was there. He's not going. Oh my God. You scared me.
Starting point is 00:02:58 So it's 9.30 right now. 10 a.m. Eastern time, the tickets go on sale. But I happen to know that at 9.45, the queue opens. So I have an alarm set for 944. Don't be alarmed in 10 minutes when my alarm goes off. It's just me. You're the only one who's going to get scared when your alarm goes off. You're the only one.
Starting point is 00:03:12 That's so true. It's like if a siren was going off, I don't want someone who's listening to the podcast thinking that like, you know, this is a dream. No, you're just letting us know and like, we'll be fine. You are going to have a heart attack.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Are you going to be able to handle it? Do you want to know that I literally had a dream last night about getting tickets? And there was just like kind of an amalgamation of all the things I'm interested in because I was trying to get tickets to the game with Garrett Graham. And like he and I were like looking for tickets.
Starting point is 00:03:33 And then we got tickets and I saw Margot. Like it was like this game. I knew this series to end. Like it's taking over my life. No, he was very happy with me. No, because she was with Jesse Solomon. right right right our brother i heard i heard margot and jesse solomon were spotted out let's start that rumor maybe it'll be true even though we've actually talked about at length like margot but i mean
Starting point is 00:03:55 i mean jacky and i we've talked at length about like margot jessie solomon he's not right they're not right for each other no jesse solomon needs margot like i think he's a good girl for her but i don't think that he is the right match like margot doesn't need him and i don't think that would be a good guy for her i agree and more so like he needs margot's family you know he needs like everything that camaraderie with dating margot like siblings and like people in the spotlight who get it and can like help him stay brother-in-laws yeah but i don't think like romantically it's right yeah it's not gonna work but you never know maybe because we're like saying it won't then it will reverse psychology for sure um so pffb so much to discuss i actually i'm embarking on a journey today a journey a
Starting point is 00:04:43 Cojourney? A co-jurnifred. Co-jurnafred? A co-jurner's Fred. A co-jurner's Fred. But what's a Jurner's Fred? I just think, Jernifred is your new name. Of course, my government. Everybody calls me co-jurney, but my real name is co-jurna-fred. Everyone knows that. And everyone's calling you Fred. Co-jurna-fred. I love that. No, I actually am going on a journey today, which I'm excited to share with everyone. like when my journey is complete. Oh, that's annoying. No, but I'm vlogging and like I'll let you guys know tomorrow. She's going on a journey.
Starting point is 00:05:23 You know my journey. I'm going on a journey. Sorry, I keep forgetting that that's this week. It's today. Okay, she's going on a cajurna fred. Everybody be cool. And it's a real, it's a real, it's a real, it's a real cojourner fred.
Starting point is 00:05:34 And it actually is a big deal. It is a big deal. I'm blogging, so I'm like really excited and I'll like share more then. I'm also vlogging, by the way. Oh, we have, I have like, four vlogs running right now. I always. I have like four vlogs going in my phone. You're good about that.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Like you start vlogs months in advance. I start them the day off. I have a vlog that I'm planning to release in October that I, that I, that are kidding. That's crazy. But you know, like I made a couple snags along the way. I don't know if it's going to make it. Right, right. I don't know if it's going to make it.
Starting point is 00:06:02 But like, I had the idea of something that's happening in October. I'm like, what if I started vlogging now? Like, people would love that. Everybody loves that. Everybody does love that. So I'm trying. And then I have my other blog for my journey. And I just have.
Starting point is 00:06:15 can't like cross wires. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I have to make separate folders. I do, I do have separate folders. The theme of today's episode is TV recap. I watch three hours of TV. I'm all caught up. I was so fucking like time management, life hacking yesterday.
Starting point is 00:06:27 I took a bath, watched the old episode of Love Island on my computer. Like I was so like millennial with my computer in the bathtub. And then I watched Summer House and then the new episode of Love Island. I'm all caught up. I voted for Love Island. I literally downloaded the app. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:06:40 I do feel like. I will not. So I feel like a lot of these shows. have you vote and whatever, but the votes don't like dancing with the stars or like American Idol. It's like the vote plus the judges, whatever. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:51 I feel like Love Island. The sales are tipped. I feel like Love Island is the only show where they actually make decisions based on the numerical value of the votes. So I feel like your vote really matters. And I feel like... But the problem is, is that the Love Island fan base
Starting point is 00:07:07 can't be trusted. So I really hope, actually, that everybody learns from last year. They're going to learn the wrong lesson. You know what I mean? Because I voted for, it's like, who do you want the bombshells to be with? That's what the vote was.
Starting point is 00:07:19 So I voted that I wanted the new bombshell, Caleb, to be with, Kenzie. Yeah. Soul and sincere, obviously. And Jen and Gabriel. Yes, those are the right answers. I could see people thinking that like soul and sincere and Melanie are the Jeremiah,
Starting point is 00:07:37 Huda, and Iris of this situation. And I actually think that that was a situation where like we voted well and I, putting Iris and Jeremiah. together was iconic and it like yes it was it was iconic it kicked off the season like the jaws on the floor so like i do think that soul and sincere should be coupled up and it was starting to make me feel like if it were up to him he would still couple up with Melanie so we need the audience to push him in another direction because Melanie and sincere is not it we'll do a full tv recap we'll try not to let it
Starting point is 00:08:10 lead into the PFFP, but I don't vote. I just want to say, like, I'm committed to the show. I recap it. I watch every day. I'm committed. I will not download that fucking app and give them my email address and vote. That's a bridge too far. But it's your civic duty to vote.
Starting point is 00:08:21 I'm not grabbing a snack. I'm not helping an elderly person. Make a plan. I'm not making my voice heard outside of my podcast where I talk about it incessantly. But you also, once you have the app, it's sort of like I'm an influential person, but I'm not a citizen, you know, so I can't actually vote. I love that. I don't have voters rights.
Starting point is 00:08:41 You're like a felon. I'm like a felon who it can. The Love Island felon. Who can participate and weigh in, but I can't actually vote. That's beautiful. But I can I can share with you guys my thoughts and if you want to vote, you know, having been influenced by my personal love island politics, feel free. But I can't vote. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Well, maybe you shouldn't have robbed that bank. We also have Summerhouse Part 3 finale reunion, which we will talk about as well. Also lots of TV. Just four minutes until my alarm. I don't want to alarm anyone. You need to alarm yourself. I know. I'm just like so paranoid. They've just been dropping.
Starting point is 00:09:20 Like seriously, fuck ticket master. This is worse than the Erez tour, I will say. I'm sure. Because with the Eres Tour, there was at least some rhyme or reason. They dropped tickets to yesterday to today's game three times yesterday without telling anyone. Like in the middle of the day, it was like 541. I saw my, how the fuck do people know that? And there were still 500,000 people in the queue.
Starting point is 00:09:35 I also joined the queue. And then Ben joined the queue. And Ben was somehow ahead of me. it's so fucking rigged. I'm pissed. This is worse in the Erestore. And at least when you got to the Erestor, if you were able to get face value tickets,
Starting point is 00:09:46 they were somewhat reasonable. Like the most expensive ticket was like maybe one or $2,000 less. Like once you actually, you're begging for the privilege of getting a face value ticket for $6,000. And where would $6,000 put you? Sitting where?
Starting point is 00:09:59 For one seat? Yeah. $6,000 for one seat will put you high. It will put you in the face value? Face value. In the 100s. Maybe not center, maybe corner.
Starting point is 00:10:11 Okay. That sounds like fair. Yeah. But I have like, I think everyone's paying 50 grand. So you can't go by me. I think people pretty much are paying 50 grand. No, I saw a video. No, I saw a video too and they were like going around being like how much did you pay for your ticket?
Starting point is 00:10:24 And the most someone had paid was 20,000 and she had like an amazing seat. Oh my God. I saw people who paid 200,000 for two tickets. Oh, in the video I saw the what like everybody was like $6,000, $7,500. One girl paid $20,000. in an amazing seat. Well, I also want to say, I feel as though I will be rewarded
Starting point is 00:10:43 because like Ticket Master, like it glitches sometimes. So they offered me this morning. I checked and there were two seats available where I didn't want, face value seats where I didn't want to sit. So I did not buy them, although like a smarter person
Starting point is 00:10:56 would have bought them and then resold them. Sold them and use the earnings for your big seat. But like that's what's wrong. Like people are buying and selling. I wouldn't want to take, that somebody else bought them. They're gone already and they got face value seats for where they actually wanted to sit.
Starting point is 00:11:06 Like I'm sorry. I'm looking like a socialist. I was going to say you're in the right city. Yeah. Amen to that. Comrade. Yeah. Comrade Cogee.
Starting point is 00:11:18 I could have. I could have. But also, who wants the job of like selling tickets now? What am I a broker? Yeah, that's true. But they would fly. Like this is the time to sell a ticket. Do you think I made a mistake?
Starting point is 00:11:28 I sort of do. You could have earned something. Could have put it towards the next seat. Could have worked your way up. Could have worked your way up. But no. To everyone, according to their need, right?
Starting point is 00:11:39 A hundred percent. Right, Queenie. Yeah, Turty Marks. Right, comrade Koji. I just feel like it's wrong. I do. I feel like it's wrong. Yeah, but there's no,
Starting point is 00:11:48 we're at where we're at right now. There's no right way to do, like, no one's ever, can everyone be happy. Like, it's just, it's just a hot ticket. So somebody else got those shit tickets for, uh,
Starting point is 00:12:00 three thousand each. And I passed on them. Where were they? On a bar stool in the high up 200s. Like I actually would rather watch them home. that was the barstool that you were offered. No, the first barstool I was offered was in the 300th. And it was the final, final row.
Starting point is 00:12:13 It was one ticket and it was $2,000. Yeah, $2,000? That's pretty good. Yeah, I know. For one ticket. But you could have sold it. Yeah, I'm going to send Ben a loan. You could have sold it.
Starting point is 00:12:25 Maybe make $4,000, put it towards, you know? Yeah, sorry, I'm not like, I'm not swindling. I'm just trying to get like my husband the night of his life. Okay. Well, pay up. I am prepared to like not be cardboard. I felt like I got a lot of encouragement from the comments yesterday. People are like, well, this is the precise reason that you are cardboard so that you can splurge.
Starting point is 00:12:45 That's true. Go comments. Yes, I feel the comments are very encouraging. I think I didn't read the comments section yesterday. I usually do, but I just got busy. And like you're telling me all these things that happened in the comments. Oh, my alarm, my alarm. Are you okay?
Starting point is 00:12:58 Okay. But like they're not here yet. So, oh, wait. What the fuck? Like there's no rhyme or reason. The shit's pissing me the fuck off. Maybe you're like not meant cut out for this. I'm certainly not cut out to be a sports friend, let alone a ticket broker.
Starting point is 00:13:13 I think you should just throw money at the problem. I'm trying to. But on Stubhub. Okay, Stubh is for suckers. Yeah, by the way, I will have to go resale. This is kind of my last chance of this particular job. I will go resale if all else fails. They're not up yet.
Starting point is 00:13:32 Yeah, but you guys have to go. And honestly, like maybe you have to go in the two or three hundreds. Really? Yeah, if that's what you can get. But I have such bad eyesight and I'm so short. Like, I won't be able to see anything. It's about the feeling. That's true.
Starting point is 00:13:44 You know, you're not really, unless you're sitting courtside. Like, seriously, what are you seeing? You're going to be looking at the screen. That's actually so true. So it's about, like, experiencing it, this moment in history. But you'll have to talk to Ben. Ben's like a seat snob for this. So he doesn't want to just be in the building.
Starting point is 00:13:56 So you'd rather not go. You'd rather not go. I. And who even knows if there'll be another game at MSG? At the garden, right. Ever in your life. Oh my God, yeah, you're right. And you either not go because you're a seat snob.
Starting point is 00:14:09 Well, why do you open the goddamn waiting room? This is so fucking disgusting. I can't yell with these people. Okay, like can we do the show or no? Yeah, like we can. Like honestly, it would be great if like you could sort of do the ads. I know I was thinking that, but like I don't have them loaded on my iPad. I just need to get to the fucking waiting room.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Okay. Give me one minute, one minute. Okay. Why don't you tell me about what you made for dinner last night? Oh, I went over to Olivia. She made a little Greek feast. You know, she loves Greek. If you guys ever are trying to like flatter Olivia.
Starting point is 00:14:45 We got to take her to Greece. We should take her to Greece. She would fucking sister strip to grace. Oh my God, we're so sisterhood of the traveling pants. Totally. Shot not. America Ferreira. Shot.
Starting point is 00:14:58 Is there like a little Greece we could go to in New York? Sardie. Oh, you mean like Lower East? I definitely. Can we go to Little Greece? We can go to Avra. Our favorite Greek restaurant. Obviously, that's all she wants really is to go to like Avra or a Greek restaurant.
Starting point is 00:15:15 What's on Milos? Right, right. So good. So that's what we had for dinner. And this morning I got her starter and I'm re-embarking on my starter journey. I don't know why. It just doesn't feel the same. Even though that starter like is one of my own.
Starting point is 00:15:32 It's my next of kin. but it's just it doesn't feel the same. No, it does not. But we'll see. I think once I start feeding it like my way, it'll start to feel more like mine. But that's just been a devastation. I did it my way.
Starting point is 00:15:51 Did you get in the waiting room? No. You said you'll do it my way. Oh, yeah, yeah. You just sounded like you had a triumph. No, these people are fucking disgusting. Like a couple of days ago, the waiting room opened at 945,
Starting point is 00:16:01 yesterday opened at 946. It's now 947. open the fuck up. Wow, wow, wow. I'm gonna get flagged. I also got banned from Ticketmaster for 24 hours the other day because I was refreshing a lot.
Starting point is 00:16:14 They thought I was like a bot or a scammer. Meanwhile, I'm just like a swirlie who's trying to help her husband. But all these bots and scammers actually do get tickets. Right, right. I think it's like one of those things and also I just sort of want to like talk about Summerhouse.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Yeah, please. No, no, so we have to do the ads. But I think it's one of those things it's like if you don't like, when you're not least expecting it, it'll happen. So like maybe you should start the ads. But that's how I get. get to the end where the queue is up 500,000 people.
Starting point is 00:16:39 Well, you know what? You do your cue. I'm going to get into the ads and then we'll get into the story. Sound good, Turtaleu? Aye, aye, Captain. Cojourna Fred. I'm not here. You.
Starting point is 00:16:51 Without further adudat doda-do. It is time for the fast five stories that you to do need to know. Today's episode of the toast is brought to you by Vivrell. Now let me ask you a question. Do you want a Bergen? Yes or no? Yes. Yes, you can get one with Vivrelle.
Starting point is 00:17:07 If you don't know Vivrelle yet, you're missing out. It's a members-only club where you can experience designer bags, jewelry, watches, even diamonds, think a rotating dream closet you don't have to commit to. Their closet is insane. Every designer brand that you would want to wear, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dior, Air, Maze. The way it works is that once you're accepted into the club, you just pick the piece that you want to borrow and it shows up at your doorstep. It truly feels surreal.
Starting point is 00:17:32 Like, seriously, you can have a rotating... cast of designer bags. You can switch per occasion for vacation for the season. Or if you just want to like commit to one bag, you can keep it for as long as you want. You can even buy it from them at a discounted price. So that's the best part. No return dates, no pressure.
Starting point is 00:17:48 You can keep the piece for as long as you want, as long as it suits you or swap monthly if you're ready for something new. I love Vivrelle. So many of my favorite bags I found from Vidrell, like if I am loving a certain kind of bag, like you know, I love the Fendi Mama Baguette and I wanted to try a bigger size. So I got one from Vivrelle.
Starting point is 00:18:04 I wanted to try it, Goyar Tote as a diaper bag and a work bag confirmed it's great for those purposes. They also have a classic tier. That's the $139 a month tier. It's their most popular tier, which honestly makes sense because the value get is absolutely wild. They just gave us an amazing offer, even better than their on-site Memorial Day offer. So if you've been curious or waiting for a sign, use code toast to get your first month of membership completely free at Vivrel. Now is the time to join. Today's episode of the toast is brought to you by Branch Basics.
Starting point is 00:18:36 I get so many questions about how I make the swap to clean products in all facets of my home. One of the biggest things that I've swapped out are my cleaning products, but it's like you want clean cleaning products, but you also want them to actually work. And that's where Branch Basics comes in. So Branch Basics has clean cleaning supplies for all rooms in your house, streaks, all purpose, bathroom, laundry, It's fantastic.
Starting point is 00:19:03 It is so, like, functional. They send you the bottles. They send you the concentrate, and then you make your own bottles. You can easily continue to refill them, and it's fantastic. And again, it's non-toxic. It's great for kids. So I use the all-purpose spray on everything. I use it to clean my kitchen, and I also use it to clean high chairs, the kids table,
Starting point is 00:19:19 because if they're eating off of those surfaces, I don't want them, you know, consuming toxic chemicals. And they're not with branch basics. We absolutely love branch basics. Been using it for years. And I'm so excited to tell you about it because it's fantastic. And the good news is that. branch basics is now available at Target and Target.com, making it easier than ever to access safe
Starting point is 00:19:37 and effective cleaning products, whether you're going all in on safe cleaning swaps or just starting small, find branch basics at Target and Target.com today. So yeah, it doesn't have to be like a whole big thing to make the swap. It's very easy. These products are amazing. They're so simple. You can find them at Target and Target.com and you can get to cleaning cleaner and have more peace of mind, especially if you have children, pets, or if you personally just don't want to be inhaling toxic chemicals all day. I could understand if that's how you feel. Today's episode of The Toast is also brought to you by Crocs. I love Crocs.
Starting point is 00:20:10 Life is brought to you by Crocs because they are so comfortable, so cute. Everybody loves them. You can wear them all day and forget you're even wearing shoes. Just slip them on and go. You can grab them on your way out the door and never have to sacrifice convenience for style. They come in so many fun silhouettes. Some are more elevated like the classic crafted clogs, which are made with 100% soft-washed canvas uppers.
Starting point is 00:20:34 There's even gibbets for everyone. Seriously, everybody loves crocs, adults, kids. I wear them for all different activities. Visit crox.com or a store near you to find your perfect pair of crox shoes.
Starting point is 00:20:57 They also make such a great gift for kids. It's a fun activity with the gibbets. They're really just the gift that keeps on giving them. Need I say more? I don't think so. Today's episode of The Toast is also brought to you by Parallel, one of my favorite brands for the Mamas and the Pappas actually. They are thinking about the Pappas, but Mamas, here's what you need to know about parallel.
Starting point is 00:21:15 It is a fantastic brand and prenatal vitamin that they make. They make three different packs, one for first trimester, second trimester, and third trimester. So the natal, the prenatal changes with your prenatal needs, which is so brilliant. So pregnancy really pulls heavily from your nutrient reserves. It takes a lot to build the beb. So you can start prenatals before you get pregnant.

Starting point is 00:22:05 so you're both optimized for trying to conceive. Starting point is 00:22:39 Turty, how's it going over there? I got kicked out of Ticketmaster again. For being a bot? For being a bot. I was refreshing so much and probably just as the tickets are going on sale. Well, hopefully Ben's having more luck over where he is.
Starting point is 00:22:53 Seriously? Fuck you fucking cock suckers at Ticketmaster. You guys are disgusting fucking criminals. criminals! How am I fucking band already? Oh my God, I can't believe it. I can't, like literally as, like, in... Maybe Ben is in? He's like, not taking it as seriously as I am.
Starting point is 00:23:11 Maybe take a drink. I can't believe it. I didn't get that I got kicked out. Well, maybe the person at Ticketmaster is a toaster and really wants to hear our summerhouse thoughts. And so they said, turdy put your phone down. But now I'm just upset. It's okay. It will happen. You're going to go. You're going.
Starting point is 00:23:28 You guys, let's start to go fund me for Turney's tickets and let's get her court side seats. No, I just, I want to choke the person at fucking Ticketmaster. Like, seriously, fuck you guys. Fucking disgusting idiots. Like, asshole cock suckers. Oh my God, I'm so fucking pissed. Deep breath. Jernet Fred.
Starting point is 00:23:48 Freddy? I can't, I can't believe I got kicked out. Are you there, Freddie? It's me. Cojernar. Let's get into the stories. Our first story is Summer House. Reunion Part 3, Bom shells, Recap, Beta Blockers, Monogamy, part three of Summer House reunion aired, and
Starting point is 00:24:10 how did it make you feel, Jernifred? I feel like I definitely echoed a lot of the sentiments that Lindsay was saying. I feel like we got no clarity. The timeline is more confusing than ever. They don't know when they hooked up. Nobody knows. And also, I feel like their lack of emotion was like on display even more in this part. And this was the part that focused so heavily on them and their big mistake.
Starting point is 00:24:31 it was really just it's odd behavior and I have to give Andy credit I feel like he really did a great job at the reunion he asked all the questions he didn't pile on he was like trying to hold them accountable while also remaining somewhat neutral I feel like he did a really good job but with these two like sort of crazy people there was never going to be any sort of resolution like even when she says she's sorry which she's like I can't say sorry enough times I'm like well you could try she literally give a start she she she barely says sorry and when she she she she she barely says sorry and when she does, it just like is so not believable. Like I don't think she's sorry. It's just like coming from a place of like defensiveness. And I'd almost rather hear her say get over. I'm not sorry. I'd rather hear her say get over him. It was two years ago.
Starting point is 00:25:13 It was six months. He doesn't like you. Like get over it. Like this is going to be my future. Yeah. I'd rather her be a bitch and say that than be like, well, I'm sorry. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:24 I said I'm sorry. Yeah, she's giving nothing. And Andy even asking West because he also like when Jesse was crying, like it was just kind of. heartbreaking and he felt so unmoved by it. But when they finally asked Jesse why he was crying and Jesse started crying to West, he was so unmoved by it West. He was so unemotional.
Starting point is 00:25:43 Like that's your best friend. That's your brother. And Andy was like, are you medicated? Like, did you take a beta blocker? And I honestly felt like he was like so upset that Andy asked that question because like he obviously, they both were obviously like heavily medicated. But we know Amanda like who's been open about the fact that she does take medication. It was like they just didn't really care about the reunion.
Starting point is 00:26:04 They didn't care about talking to everyone. They just wanted to get through it. So they medicated themselves and just did it. Yeah. Also, people are now being like, beta blockers don't, you know, stymie your emotions. Just as for beta blockers. And it's like maybe he didn't ask if there are anything else as well, you know, like a Xanax, a weed. Like he couldn't be on beta blockers and something else.
Starting point is 00:26:25 You know what I mean? Like they're obviously on a lovely little cocktail of something. Especially her. Yeah, but see, like Amanda did cry like once or twice when everyone was being mean to her. And then when her and Kyle were hugging, they like cried. So you are able to emote. But I also think like West doesn't care. Like he is a crazy person.
Starting point is 00:26:47 Yeah. I was glad for this part of the reunion because I feel like they finally got to the questions that I was really curious about. Like, first of all, I thought Kyle when he said like this girl has been a relationship for 10 years. is like she's in the most vulnerable state. You take her out, you say you're going to show her the streets. And like you've completely isolated her at like such a vulnerable place in her life. Like I thought that was like very well said and so true. Like yeah, but it takes a lot of the accountability off of Amanda.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Like she has no agency in her life and she's just this sort of woman who gets taken for rides by men. Sure, maybe she is. Maybe she is. Yeah. And like he. But she's also like a 35 year old woman who can make her own decisions. Yeah, but like maybe she is this weak sister. and he knows that, he knows who she is.
Starting point is 00:27:33 And so the person who came in to be there for her also wound up being the one to take her away from her friends and tarnish her name. Like I felt like it was a good point. It just puts like a lot of pressure on their relationship to work. And I felt like we were finally getting at that, which it's like, why did you risk it all? Are you in love?
Starting point is 00:27:51 But we didn't get there. No, no, no. But the questions were asked. And like, how could you betray Sierra? And like, just to take it one step further, it's like, do you like West? more than you liked Sierra because that's what it is. When you're choosing between pursuing West
Starting point is 00:28:05 or keeping your friendship, you've chosen to pursue West because you like him more than your friendship with Sierra. Like that's more important to you. I don't even think she likes him more than, like I just think she's just like riding an impulse and giving into every sort of feeling that she has. Maybe that's like her post-divorous liberation.
Starting point is 00:28:25 Like, you know, I'm just going to like... Yeah. Jump off a club. Yeah. Yeah. Anyways, I felt like the questions were asked and it felt less frustrating of like how this could possibly happen. What was going through your mind, even if their answers fell short, which of course they did multiple times. They did seem to, they talked about all these conversations that they've had and they're starting to seem like they've gotten to a place where like they've had a conversation that like if we're going to give this a shot, like if we're doing all this, like we're giving it a real shot. Like this is something serious.
Starting point is 00:28:57 then they also dropped a trailer for like a bonus episode next week where there's a couple of conversations. West and Kyle, Amanda and Lindsay, Sierra and me, huh? Yeah, I feel like if any of it was like that groundbreaking or important,
Starting point is 00:29:11 it wouldn't be relegated to some sort of like bonus episode. It sounds like Kyle has a conversation with West and asked him like, are you in love with her? And West not only says yes, but says I've been in love with her for a very long time. Like, thank you. Well, that's worth risking it all for.
Starting point is 00:29:29 Throwing your life away for. You know? Yeah, I do know. And throughout the episode, they're like poking holes in their relationship, right? Through Miha and the lying and Amanda's like you've given me a lot to think about. But we know now, like the two are still, you know, going strong in a relationship. They're traveling together. They went to a family wedding together.
Starting point is 00:29:50 She spat in his mouth, like the whole thing. Even though I'm pretty sure they were like smoking pot and like, you know, that thing when you blow in someone's mouth. like that's just what I thought it was because she like smokes pot. She's like cool. She's a cool girl like that. So none of it penetrated and maybe they did have these conversations
Starting point is 00:30:06 and I know that they're pushing Meeha so hard and I think like maybe there are people who are eating it up. I am not people. Although like the more we talk about it like he had a girlfriend the entire summer and lied about it. Like he's just a really big liar.
Starting point is 00:30:21 Yeah but and here's what is unclear to me. So when he says like Mija thought we were exclusive that she was that. Why did she think that? Like was that? Were you guys exclusive and then you stepped out on her or like she just had this belief and you had to actually never had that conversation? Did she think you were exclusive because you told her that? Right. Or like she just assumed you're exclusive because like you're together all the time. So like you sort of fall into a relationship. But like I'm sorry if you're together 10 months and you never actually said like confirmed that you're exclusive. I don't believe how you don't have that.
Starting point is 00:30:55 conversation one time. Yeah, the Maha stuff for me, especially because it's like when he met mehah, Amanda was married. He obviously chose Maha for a while. And then as Amanda starts to, you know, become available, he started to throw Maha to the side. Like, yeah, that doesn't really complicate Amanda and West for me. And West relationship. Which just shows like what a piece of shit West is, which we know that up until March 1st, or no, sorry, April 1st, 2026, West Wilson did not want to have a relationship. He never, you know, he drag girls around and led them on. We know that.
Starting point is 00:31:30 But what they're saying is, as of the statement, things have changed. So the Miha thing doesn't change their story, really. She's like, it got a little messy when there was crossover, but I don't know. It's like Dino, you know? It's like Dino. It's like Dino and Liz. Like, I just don't care about the storyline that's not on my show. Yeah, no, I am aligned.
Starting point is 00:31:54 And I feel like when they went into the reunion, they were so obsessed with the timeline. And we still don't know the timeline fully, but I think they wanted to clear their names in terms of like having had an affair. And I just want to say like after all is said and done, I do not believe that they had any sort of inappropriate relationship. But what they were trying to decipher between was like them having a physical connection and an emotional connection. And it's like, well, yeah, they had an emotional connection because you all have fucking weird relationships with one another. So, like, yeah, now it's weird, but it wasn't before because you guys all do this. Yeah, and I'm glad that, like, everyone seemed to come to the same page as that.
Starting point is 00:32:32 Like, Lindsay was saying, we don't think you guys were, like, having sex over the summer, even though they all think that, like, things were happening over the summer. But it was definitely an emotional fair. But, yeah, it's harder to prove it's subjective. But, like, when was the first time they really, like, looked at each other and, like, So they said it was, like, when they were out, like, sometime in March or whatever. where he looked at, yeah, when he looked at her and was like, am I crazy or like, are we like in love?
Starting point is 00:32:56 Yeah, but like, is he saying that after months of like of knowing between them? Do you know what I mean? Of it going unsaid? Well, I just want to say months of it going on unsaid like is fine. Like you didn't say it. Like you're not acting on it. Like you're not acting on it. But you're continuing to be with this, go out with this person.
Starting point is 00:33:15 I mean, you're not fighting it. You think that makes you like good because you're not acting on it. but you're actually like, you're feeding it. Yeah. You're not walking away. These things are impossible to prove, and I feel like that's where we landed. Right.
Starting point is 00:33:30 That's where we landed. And so I think they are sort of absolved of like not having had any sort of like physical affair over the summer. I think that would be psychotic. But, and now when he says to Kyle, the next episode, I've been in love with her for a long time. Like, are we talking years?
Starting point is 00:33:43 Years. Or maybe it's like you've always loved this person but never even thought of her in that way because she was married. And now that you have thought about her in that way, you realize it was like that. the whole time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:53 Now you can see her in that light. Like, I don't know. I mean, they made it through. That was their goal. They made it through. They did the job. I understand completely numbing yourself with medication because the amount of the barrage of what they are about to receive on the reunion stage, it's, it's a lot.
Starting point is 00:34:13 I know they're bad people, crazy people who don't care about their friends feelings, but like that's a very, an experience that most human beings don't. have because if you betrayed your best friend, you yell at each other. You get to hide. You yell at each other and then you never speak again. You don't sit on a stage for 12 hours hearing all this horrible stuff about yourself with the world watching. It's not a human experience. So if they want to numb themselves, I honestly can't blame them. Especially for a girl who's weak and has mental health issues. What? Where do we go from here? Casting wise? Like for real, they're both out? Personally, and I'm always wrong because I would, I've put Lexi on last season.
Starting point is 00:34:52 so obviously whatever I say isn't going to happen. I think Sierra moves on because she's moved on. Like not because she should be punished for West Amanda in any way, but like I think I think she's beyond the show now. I think West and Amanda are the storyline. They just are. I kind of agree. Like they're crazy and crazy is interesting.
Starting point is 00:35:14 West and Jesse building back. Have a lot of French. There's a lot that can happen here. Kyle, that's really up to him if he wants. wants to come back. I don't know if he has a place. Oh my god, you're going to have to take this house from the cold dead hands. Yeah. Lindsay, I think will be in the same place that she's been. But like, I think that narratively wise, like shifting to focus on like Amanda and West. Like, because even if they stay together, it's crazy. If they break up, it's crazy. Like that's where the story is.
Starting point is 00:35:41 Yeah. I feel like the audience hates them so much. Like people are saying like, no, we don't want them. No. Cancel. Bring Sierra back. But like, I kind of want to see what those two crazy fucks are going to get into. Yeah. Although I don't know if they want to, I could see Amanda like being done. But people say she was with Kyle for so long and put up with all his shit because you wanted to be on TV. And so you're going to give up now when you're the biggest name in the world.
Starting point is 00:36:04 But you're like the most hated name in the world. I don't know if people want that. There's only one place to go. Up. Also, but Sierra leaving like doesn't make sense for Mia. And I think Mia should be back. But I like Sierra and Mia being together. But that's really her last sort of connection to the house.
Starting point is 00:36:21 No, but Mia can stand on her own, I think. Yeah, but it was just, it was fun having them together. Mia can stand on her own, but I'm just like, oh, Sierra brought me in 2000 as she's leaving. If she's leaving, I feel like, I don't know. I'll be curious to see what they do, but I do feel like they're not all going to be together. Sierra's not going to be in a house with them. And I don't really see the show moving on from Kyle and, I mean, Amanda and West and Kyle, even everyone. You know, that's the story.
Starting point is 00:36:48 That's the meat. Perhaps an Amanda and West spin-off, crazy in this. city in the city crazy edition yeah or it's just on in the city because in the city is her show yeah yeah yeah and they're a couple now and it's a show for couples yeah or it's just both it just keep putting out episodes actually like the bonus episode idea like I want more yeah I do I want more yeah yeah and they're like they're it's very much giving like when van der pomper rolls had this new gen but the new gen was bad and like the new gen here is good but they have to figure out like who goes where and what goes where yeah but it's like watching
Starting point is 00:37:23 West and Amanda, like, talk about them being in love and, like, their relationship. It's just, like, so foreign and crazy to me. Like, I still have not had enough of it. No, and because they were so withdrawn and, like, so unemotional, they were also unemotional when talking about each other. And they, even, like, Wes was, like, saying nice things. It felt, like, weird and cold because he was very withdrawn. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:43 Like, seeing them walk into the reunion together, it's just, like, you know, was a crazy thing to see. So, like, I'm still wanting to see this crazy thing that's happening. Yeah. it's like an attraction. It's like a circus. It is. A train wreck.
Starting point is 00:37:58 It is. You can't look away. Yeah. And so I'm still participating. Yeah, I know that's like not the thing to say because everybody's like, cancel them. May they live and die. But you know what? Like I kind of want to see what those crazy kids get into.
Starting point is 00:38:14 And I'm sorry. Like they did their jobs. Like they were horrible people and friends and husbands and wives and boyfriends. Of course. They were great workers. It's true. Give them a life. Give them a promotion.
Starting point is 00:38:27 They gave life to the show. They did. But I do think that the network often sides with the audience. And like the audience, hey, Sam. Everyone's like, cancel them off my screens. So I feel like they're just not going to be invited back. Okay. I'll leave it to them.
Starting point is 00:38:42 But I'm just saying they did. You're the experts. They did their jobs. Yep. You do yours. Like really, how could the network be mad at them? They should be setting them flowers and saying thank you and giving them a raise. It's the same with Scandival.
Starting point is 00:38:57 That show was like seriously in the gutter. People forget, but it was like minutes for every time like in the most recent seasons before that. It was like, is this show still on? It was so dire. And even Scandival, which was immensely helpful, only gave them like one or two more seasons. But Summerhouse wasn't even dire, but things were about to change. You know, they're all crying.
Starting point is 00:39:18 They're leaving. Everyone knows like most people aren't coming back in the city's happening. And now... The house is being sold. Yeah. And now we've just like breathed new life into it. But also like with Vaynerpump rules, it was like the seniors graduated and we hadn't even met the freshman yet.
Starting point is 00:39:31 So it was like there wasn't a connector. It was so much change also. Like they actually did a very good job of blending in this new young generation of people. Bailey and Jesse and Dara and Krij. And we know them and we're sticking with them because we're invested already. So whether or not Kyle and Lindsay are there like we're still watching the show. So this has been done much better. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:50 And I don't think it's the same. and Amanda and West are the old and the new guard. Yes, they are. They can go on either show. I think, she should have said this at the reunion. I think what you all mean to say is thank you. Thank you. They owe her a thank you.
Starting point is 00:40:09 Yeah. This also has cemented summer house, which is always like one of the smaller, younger shows of Bravo. It has cemented it as like one of the greats. Now, I imagine, I imagine it has higher ratings. than most of the other shows. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:23 They're talking about it on red carpets. Like everyone's being asked, are you team, Amanda? Like, it's a thing now. Is that even a question? Are you team? No, yeah. They're not asking that.
Starting point is 00:40:32 They're asking like, are you watching Summerhounds? Yeah, yeah. So, we'll see you next week for the bonus Jonas. Oh, right. Are you ready for our next story? Yes.
Starting point is 00:40:44 Taylor Swift surprises fans at the premiere of Toy Story 5 with a performance of her new song and a bonus duet. So tailored showed up at the LA premiere of Toy Story 5. She performed, I knew it, I knew you, accompanied herself with the piano. And then she also sang, you've got a friend in me with Randy Newman. And they did a little duet.
Starting point is 00:41:09 It was like seriously so fucking cute. First of all, she looked insane. Like you know she's doing Soto Method arms. Like she's doing those bridal arms. Her arms looked so toned. Like she's just so wedding ready because you know she's like getting married. It could be any day now. but allegedly July 3rd.
Starting point is 00:41:22 She looked insane. I love this sort of like family friendly brand save era, you know, toy story. I am curious if Chad Hanks came with Tom because I just like, I know that if he did, like they would have met and really gotten along because he plays like basically a Travis Kelsey version on that show. Was Travis there? No, she went with her mom and her brother. Oh, Travis shouldn't have been there to support her.
Starting point is 00:41:43 And you know, I've been on Ticketmaster like all morning and I was like scrolling looking for the thing and it said. might be interested. I think New Heights is like going on tour, like doing live shows. Oh yeah, they're doing a live show like next week. And that's why people are like they're not getting married then because they're not getting married June 13 because there's a live show. Okay, that like is a good reason not to get married.
Starting point is 00:42:05 Yeah. I also feel like she wore two dresses. She wore a red carpet dress and then she wore the yellow dress for her performance. And I feel like probably even unintentionally that these are maybe like teasers of what her bridal look will be like. Because I do find when you are in your bridal era like you are gravitated towards a certain silhouette. And so even her red carpet dress with the off the shoulder,
Starting point is 00:42:25 like I would not be surprised if something about this is what her bridal look will be. Yeah. And I think that often her wardrobe is like indicative of whatever era is coming next. And I think that all of her outfits have been like very bridal, very soft, very feminine, like very Hillhouse almost. And if that's the aesthetic for era number 107 wherever we're at, love that. Yeah, she looks insanely beautiful.
Starting point is 00:42:49 And I do think like the next album, if we're thinking about like the seasons that she's in and how they like reflect her life like her next album is the love album it's lover that's what lover was supposed to be yeah but like no but lover like this is like just like love songs you know lover is like I guess she turned it into like this like girly pop whatever but like this would be like the the love songs album yeah yeah um that's very thrilling. Like, I also think it could be like her sort of like settling down album, I hope, right? Well, is the settling down happening yet? Or it's just like, you know, the romance and the planning? Got a couple kids got the whole block looking like you. Yeah, but that's the wish list.
Starting point is 00:43:33 Like, are we checking themselves? And now it's time like to, yeah. She's making a list and checking it twice to have Travis Kelsey's babies. To take the Kelsey's down. Down. Absolutely. So I love this outing for Taylor. I think that skips over like just this one era of just like being in her feminine. Yeah, right. In her right, right. You're in love. True love.
Starting point is 00:43:56 Love you can hear it in the silence. I loved this little outing for Taylor. It was so fun. Like, so just like to perform with Randy Newman. You just remember what your old pal said. Like I just fucking love this whole thing. And I love the song for Toy Story. I've been listening to it a lot.
Starting point is 00:44:16 Yeah. I just want to say thank you. to Taylor it and the whole Toy Story team because it has been successfully implemented. Everyone's so excited about the Jesse song, Toy Story 5, that, you know, I had to explain comes out in a few weeks. It's not out yet. That's like a little confusing, but it's fine.
Starting point is 00:44:30 That is confusing. It's like, wait, what are we looking at? Like, there's a 5, where's the movie? Yeah. What's Jesse talking about? But I'm just like in a couple weeks. Yeah. And we are successfully listening to Taylor Swift in the car because it is car related to
Starting point is 00:44:42 Joy Story. So thank you so much everyone involved. Also, Taylor brought a, VHS copy. It must be like her original home version of the Toy Story original movie. And she had all like the original um castmates like Tom Hanks. Tim Allen sign it, which I know she doesn't need the money, but she could sell that for a pretty penny. And who plays Jessie, Joan Cusack? I don't know because I saw Joan Cusack there with Taylor and I said, oh, she's in Toy Story. Yes, she is Jessie.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Hmm. Cute. I feel like at the time it's, I feel it's similar to Shrek that like if you were celebrity and there was like this new Disney cartoon movie and they asked you to do the voice. Maybe some people passed on it. Maybe some people didn't. You had no idea that this was going to be like the thing that retires you. It's now on their fifth movie. I think like everybody who's involved in Toy Story is like a multi, multi-millionaire many times over because of it. And I just, there's probably someone who passed on it who was like, I don't want to do this like kids movie. Meanwhile, $100 million. It's like Shrek. Everybody from from Shrek retired. Cameron Diaz, $100 million here, $100 million there.
Starting point is 00:45:47 There's like a lot of that. I think of like Frozen too. Like Frozen is one of them. Why does she still work so hard? A thousand percent. Josh Gad is wealthy. Like he is personally wealthy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:57 Adina Manzel. Like that was seriously the biggest movie of all time. And there are lots of Disney movies that are super popular, but they aren't like these enormous franchises where like there's theme parks and like. No, no. Yeah. All of them are very popular. They're sort of like a flash in the pan.
Starting point is 00:46:09 It's always going to be a good payday. But there were a couple that just storied franchises. Billion dollars. Yeah. And. I think the most recent one is probably Frozen. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:20 Frozen was a cultural reset. Frozen was a cultural reset. Yeah. Are you ready for our next story? What number? Great question. Number three. Yeah, I'm ready.
Starting point is 00:46:32 Number three. Joshua Bassett is on Carl Radke's podcast talking about his past drug addiction. A sentence, I seriously never thought I'd hear. Yeah, from multiple angles. But Joshua Bassett says fame came with the dark side he never saw coming, revealing his substance abuse spiraled so badly at one point he believes he shouldn't have survived it. So he joined The More Life with Carl Radke podcast and got brutally honest about a chapter of his life that was happening behind the scenes while his career was taking off. He says things reached a breaking point when he was 23, admitting it should have killed me the level of substance.
Starting point is 00:47:05 He doesn't stop there. He goes on to detail just how consumed he was by drugs, describing a daily routine that revolved around getting his next fix and shutting him off from the outside world, how he would like wake up at 2.30. and go to the ATM because his drug dealer started work at three would take out as much money from the ATM as he could. Spent all of that, like his daily limit, spent all of it with the drug dealer at 3 o'clock, cocaine, everything used it all until he fell asleep, slept till 255 the next day,
Starting point is 00:47:33 went to the ATM drug dealer again and again again. Yeah. You know what? I feel like Carl Radke having this podcast, which I think it's like very slowly becoming. At first it was like different reality stars and influencers, more Summerhouse. But like him veering into a space where like celebrities or well-known people talk about like addiction and substance.
Starting point is 00:47:51 I actually think it's like a very niche podcast that doesn't exist. And he's probably a really good person to do it. I think it would be good for soft bar. So I like this journey for him and his podcast. I had no idea Joshua Bassett struggled like that. Did he say when this was? When he was 23. When he was like coming up in his career.
Starting point is 00:48:08 So that must have been like post-driver's license two years ago. So post-driver's license. So yeah. Yeah. Damn. Yeah. Really sad. No, Carl has a really good team behind him.
Starting point is 00:48:23 Like not just like he has a great podcast, but like his branding, his like brand. The car brand is like very on point. The visuals and the messaging around the podcast is very legitimate. You know, a lot of people have a podcast and it's like just random. But everything with him feels very intentional. He has like a very good branding. I agree. No, everything he does also feels elevated, right? Like it's like his legit. And I also am happy to say, I feel like Carl has also proved a lot of his detractors wrong, myself included. Like I thought soft bar was stupid. I thought he was like a not a smart, like good person. And I feel as though I was wrong.
Starting point is 00:49:05 Yeah. I think it's like the person that he wanted to be at that time though, like doing a soft bar and, you know, just a soft man like in general. Like it's still, even though he accomplished the things that like Lindsay thought he wouldn't accomplish. Lindsay didn't want to be with that person. Do you know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. And I definitely saw him through Lindsay's eyes. And I think at the time, like she thought poorly of him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:26 As like a partner and a business person and just like a she's looking for more alpha. Yeah. But even when she sees all of his success now, I don't think any of it makes her feel like, oh, he did do it. And I should be with him. I think it's like, if you always wanted to be this person, you were never the right person for me. And I don't think he would have been able to have become this person if she hadn't sort of lit a fire under him to really prove her wrong. Yeah, yeah, I agree.
Starting point is 00:49:51 So I didn't see this like becoming his sticcarini, but I like it. Yeah, it's just so crazy. I didn't watch the early seasons of Summerhouse, but like even when you watch clips or they show stuff of Carl, like from back in the day, like that he's a completely different person
Starting point is 00:50:06 and such a testament to the fact that like people can change. A hundred percent. He was like this real douche lord asshole. He used to hook up with every girl in the house. He hooked up with Paige. Yeah. And now he's just like, A friend to all.
Starting point is 00:50:20 He's Mr. Softie. Oh, you know what got me thinking? Going back to Taylor Swift performing with Randy Newman, you've got a friend in me, really reminds me of her song, It's Nice to Have a Friend. They should have done some sort of mashup. Oh, cute.
Starting point is 00:50:34 Like they sound similar. Obviously, like the messaging is the same. Yeah. I think they were staying on message. It wasn't becoming the Irish tour mashup. Secret song. Yeah. No.
Starting point is 00:50:46 Secret song. And I'm sure he's like an older gentleman. He just like wanted to remember the words to his own song. Yeah. And he did a great job. It was very cute. They were like bantering. Slay Randy.
Starting point is 00:50:55 Are you ready for our next story? I am. Katie Perry calls Justin Trudeau the love of her life and says she feels anchored by their romance. I'm really ready to talk about this. She was at the Tribeca film festival for the premiere for concert film Katie Perry, the Lifetime store, live from Paris. And she spoke about her relationship with the former prime minister.
Starting point is 00:51:16 Now, I just want to say, like, not to make this about me, when I was driving home from watching The Nickame, there was like a line of people waiting outside on the West Side Highway, and there was like a marquee that said Katie Perry, the Lifetime Store. I was like, what the fuck is going on? I had no idea it was even Tribeca Film Festival, and I certainly didn't know that she had a movie coming out. Although her track record for celebrity documentaries is one for one.
Starting point is 00:51:34 She makes her part of me, part-time documentary, part-time music video. It's one of the greatest pieces of media in modern times. Yes, but this is live from Paris, so I feel like it's mostly the show. and less like of a documentary, but this is what she said. She said, I feel like a more grounded person
Starting point is 00:51:51 in so many aspects of my life. I am very in love. And actually, that show was after I met the love of my life. And so I felt very anchored by that because I'm a little bit like a rainbow kite. I fly super high and touch the veil, cosmos.
Starting point is 00:52:04 And sometimes I need to be anchored. So to have that anchor finally makes me feel really whole now. Okay, I'm ready to talk about this because obviously an unlikely pairing, right? and I think once the shock wore off like I'm able to seriously like think about it and talk about it critically and I just have to say like I ship
Starting point is 00:52:22 so unbelievably hard I feel like he made like this relationship is so bizarre because like they're like two kind of polarizing figures right like he's a prime minister what's more polarizing than that and she is like this freaky deaky pop star who went to space and like everybody can't seem to stop hating on
Starting point is 00:52:38 and I feel as though this relationship has neutralized both of their public personas two negatives make a positive 1,000% Like I ship so hard They look so happy And it's just like kind of a sleigh She was with Orlando Bloom
Starting point is 00:52:52 It's hard to you know date after that Like it's Orlando Bloom And to go a completely different round And go with like a former prime minister It's a very elite choice And I have a lot of respect for Katie Perry now I just want to say I think that this is going to be huge for her Yeah I think that now that the dust is settled
Starting point is 00:53:08 And like they're in as in love as they've ever been And they actually remind me a little bit. Let me think. Let me think. Taylor and Travis? No. Give me a clue. Two people who we've come, like probably the biggest ship in the sea.
Starting point is 00:53:27 I don't know if you're going to get it. Louis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian. No. I'll just say, Jeff and Lauren, Bezos Sanchez. It's an amazing comparison. Together forever. Like really an inspiring. Age appropriate.
Starting point is 00:53:42 age appropriate love story. Cross genre, like politics, business. He lifts her up, she lifts him up. I also think they run in a similar circle as Lauren and Jeff. Maybe that's why you. Yeah, I love this. Like, First Lady of Canada, he needs to turn for prime minister again. That's what she needs.
Starting point is 00:54:00 That would be the only thing to make it cooler if he was still employed. No, no, because you want to know why. Like, when you're an active politician, like, you're very criticized because politics can be so divisive. take this to the next level. Like she's in her first lady era. Like she has to, you know, it would just be like a movie. You know, now they're just like a bunch of kids running around. No, I disagree.
Starting point is 00:54:19 I disagree. I think it makes it like more criticized. Like she doesn't need anything that's divisive. Like she's been sort of this lightning rod for a couple of years. She just needs like everyone, once you're done being like the president or the prime minister, you sort of fade into like this like bubble retirement. Like nobody criticizes you anymore. Like everybody loves you.
Starting point is 00:54:36 Remember Ellen and George Bush? Like you, it's good to be a retired politician. It's hard to be an active politician. Oh, they're definitely like having more fun in this capacity, but it just would have been so high stakes if he were still. Yeah, but I'm talking about like Q score-wise. I think it's better that he's not because they've both suffered. They should hang out with Harry and Megan too, like former diplomat.
Starting point is 00:54:55 Yes. They have Canadian connections. Struggling with the Q score, but in love. Yeah. All they have is love over at As Ever Farms Incorporated. They actually should be best friends. Well, there are a lot of people that Harry and Megan like should be really tight with post royalty
Starting point is 00:55:14 moving to Montecito and the fact that they haven't become friendly with like any of the people we thought that they would and never hang out with the Obama. It's like we thought they were going to be at that level. It's definitely weird. I think Harry and Justin. Justin would Trudeau would be good friends.
Starting point is 00:55:31 They're both just like random, you know? Sure. Like I feel like they have the same interest and like the environment. whatever. They both love the environment for sure. Katie and Megan, I could see it being like oil and water, you know? They seem like they're actually very different,
Starting point is 00:55:52 which might make them, you know, Katie would be the one to bring her out of her shell. Right. Or hate. No, I don't see those two getting along. I don't think it's a good match. But I think we're just comparing them because they are similar now with like the Justin Trudeau.
Starting point is 00:56:06 They're at a different level of fame. where it's like you're bordering on like global geopolitical issues. Yeah, but also like everybody hates you. Everybody hates you, yeah. So they have that in common as well. Yeah, but once you get to a certain level, like everybody hates you. Jeff and Lauren. I wonder if the Lifetime's documentary, like if at all,
Starting point is 00:56:24 is it just a concert? It's just a concert. She said this is very different from part of me. That was more of a documentary about my life. And this is really a concert experience about at the highest level for the fans. Well, you know what? Like this was such a criticized tour.
Starting point is 00:56:37 We forget because so much. has happened since then, but that's when she was running around in her, like, galactic outfits, like being crazy. I would like to see this just to know, like, what actually happened on that tour? I saw the crazy clips, but I imagine there was other stuff. Yeah. Oh, they were at an event with Harry and Megan at the Beef Season 2 Montecito Tastemaker event in April. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:01 That's like, I thought you were going to say the, like Montecito X Netflix. Like that is so Harry and Megan. Yeah. Okay. Well, good luck to them. Godspeed, you officially have a little ship. Let's see how you do out there. No, you have some momentum behind you.

You're welcome. Our fifth and final story is going to lead into the TV recap. Love Island USA addresses an app glitch during the first fan vote of season eight.
Starting point is 01:04:40 So last night's episode ended, they threw to a fan vote. And apparently the app glitch, so they are keeping voting open today until 3 o'clock p.m. Eastern time. Yeah, which is confusing because I voted today. and but when I went to bed it wasn't up yet. So I was like, oh, I probably missed it. I checked this morning. And I was like, oh, that's weird
Starting point is 01:04:57 because I feel like they have to do it really quickly. I feel like it's like a two hour window to vote. Yeah, usually. Because they have to have the recoupling, edit the episode and air it. Yeah. So maybe the recoupling. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:06 Oh, well, there's no episodes on Wednesdays. Okay. So. The recoupling probably happens tonight and we watch it tomorrow. But also they're ahead of us. I think there's going to be another episode and then a Thursday. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:23 Okay, I'm fine with that. And that's what happened with like Pepe and Hannah where it's like we voted, we put them together because we thought she liked him. And then in the next episode she got back with Charlie and we're like, well, fuck, we voted for you. We thought you liked him. The delay does really. So maybe like Melanie and Sincere will have this like redemptive moment.
Starting point is 01:05:41 1,000% or like Kenzie and Corbyn will decide they're in love. No, the only one I could see is Melanie and Sincere. Like the thing is, even if they're, decide they want to be together. I don't want them together. So that's why I'm happy to be able to step in even though I'm not voting. I'm not filming. Yeah, I like the voting because it's the only like chance we have at accountability. Like sorry, Beatrice like is really not trying hard enough with with anyone. Like she's a little too settled. She doesn't talk to anyone. She's kind of kind of sending because she's like in this like relationship. Meanwhile she doesn't know she's like the
Starting point is 01:06:13 freakest man ever who's like making out with everyone. She has no idea what she has no idea. Also like can I talk about something when it comes to Beatrice? And then. I don't know what it's like to have a prosthetic leg. So like I don't know how I would act, but she makes so many jokes about it. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with like, you know, you can't be the butt of the joke if you're making the joke. And like I get that totally.
Starting point is 01:06:36 But I find it very off putting. Oh, I only heard one joke. I've heard at least three. Okay, because maybe I wasn't paying attention. But she made like one, I thought it was a funny joke. Like, it's just funny. Which? When she was like.
Starting point is 01:06:50 With the girls? Yeah, she was saying how the other girls. you know they have like I don't have long hair big boobs and I have one leg like it was she said it now though three times yeah okay I don't know I don't know what the right way to talk about not having a leg is because like that's just not been my experience but um I find it a little strange I think it didn't bother me I actually thought it was funny and like lighthearted and just the first time I thought that too she's just being humor the first time she said it I was like you know good for her yeah I wonder if I kept hearing it but I only heard heard the one and I was like, oh, that's just like funny.
Starting point is 01:07:29 It was funny the first time. So I watched the episode. I watched two episodes. We had that crazy ass orgy challenge, which was insane. And it just gave me insane respect for who I already respected the most, which is my girl, Anaya, but also Kada. They were the only two who didn't hump and kiss every guy until they down their guy. No, and it's like, they never said you have to kiss everyone until you know who you're kissing.
Starting point is 01:07:51 It's like, you can touch. There's the hair. By the way, you could get in two seconds. Everybody has different hair. So I feel like they were told not to touch their hair And the only person I saw touch hair is Melanie Which is how she knew it was sincere And then she knew it was Corbyn.
Starting point is 01:08:04 A couple people touched hair briefly But yes, they definitely were asked to not focus on the hair But like you could have just given like a swipe And you would know immediately. Yeah And some of them like did lightly touch hair So like they were able to know In shower caps.
Starting point is 01:08:19 Oh that's good. Yeah. So Kada who was already like high up on my list and Anaya who was already high up on my list, like, queens. Queens, queens, queens. Except, like, what was, I wasn't fully following, like, what went wrong with Kada and Zach? It's really awkward.
Starting point is 01:08:34 Okay, so she acted like a respectful queen. Yes, the whole time. The whole time. And then when the new bombshell came and he hooked up with, he made out with everyone, they sort of did a big one. She wrapped her, like, she was on her back. She wrapped her legs around him. It wasn't just like, you know, the obligatory I have to make out with the bombshell.
Starting point is 01:08:53 And Zach was like, okay, okay. And so like the guy kept going a little bit longer. So it was just like an oversized one for a girl. Yeah. But now he's like pulling other people for chats. No, he's he's being really like he's punishing her too much for it. Yeah, he should have taken that opportunity to close off. Like I know everyone's like like afraid of closing off.
Starting point is 01:09:13 I don't know why. But like they're so obsessed with one another. And like yeah, it's pissing him off that she's with another guy. I feel like that's a sign that you're ready to close off. Like why is everybody so against closing off? No, and he wasn't. He was like ready to close. off, but then I think, like, he was just, like, very, I don't want to say hurt, but I think, like,
Starting point is 01:09:29 his ego was bruised that, like, this other guy, like, got to have that moment with his girl. But he doesn't really have, like, a place to talk because they, those boys sat on the bed, made out with everyone in the house, plus two new bombshells while their girls were sitting, like, she's literally right there sitting there blindfolded, like, everybody misbehaved. That was, like, a runchey. I know, that's what I don't understand about the show, which is, like, why is some things a bigger deal than others? Like, everybody's humping the whole time.
Starting point is 01:09:54 So everything in a child. I understand Melanie. I understand Melanie why everyone's upset with her because it's like you knew you had sincere and so you kept kissing Corbyn. That was disgusting. That was fucking crazy. Yeah. I seriously,
Starting point is 01:10:05 she was the prettiest girl when she got here. Now like I find her insides to be so ugly that like she is no longer my top. No, not at all. I want her still on the show though because she's like so entertaining. But like I do. I think sincere is one of the best guys so far and they should not be together. No, everything in a challenge is. It's literally Jeremiah and Huda.
Starting point is 01:10:22 Everything in a challenge is inbound. like you can make out with everyone. But then there are people who take it to another level. And we see that sometimes like Huda and Ace in a heart rate challenge. Like, and you see it by everybody's reaction. So the guy came in, he makes out with everyone. That's fine. But the fact that she's like, you know, on her back with their legs, they did a big one.
Starting point is 01:10:40 And it's like, but you're my girl and you acted like that with the bombshell. But like after what had just gone down, I just think he really needs to let it go. I understand he was like bum that night. She felt really bad. I think she like realized, oh, this is more serious than I thought. I shouldn't be like acting that way. But for him to like punish her into the next day, pull back, say he doesn't actually want to be closed off.
Starting point is 01:11:00 Like he pulled someone for a chat. He's being like a little controlling at this point. It's getting a little ugly. Red flag. And you can see she's heartbroken. I know. And like also no offense when there is such a disparity in looks like she's so fucking hot and he's like very fine looking.
Starting point is 01:11:17 He needs to act right. Like you can't be acting like that when the girl's much hotter than you. No, but at this point it doesn't matter. She likes him a lot. Because she likes him so much. I know. It's not like when she came in and she was the bombshell. And it's crazy how like when you're the bombshell,
Starting point is 01:11:29 you're like the shiniest most attractive thing. And like after two seconds later. After two days you're like old use goods. It's true. Nobody's even looking at you. It's so crazy. So the two new bombshells, Sol and Jen. I do feel like Jen is pro.
Starting point is 01:11:44 I guess like the girl. Who's going home? A girl, right? I don't. Yeah, because the girls got to pick last time. so like Beatrice could go home. But we're coupling people up. So we're going to put Jen and Gabriel.
Starting point is 01:12:05 Oh, so maybe no one will go home yet. Just like Hood didn't go home because Jeremiah. So like Bayo or Melanie. And then vulnerable. Or Melanie. And, because Caleb will have to choose someone. And Melanie.
Starting point is 01:12:18 No, Caleb will have to choose someone. Caleb will choose. Not Caleb, sorry. Corbin will have to choose someone. No, why will he? He'll be single and vulnerable. Oh, yeah, I guess. Okay.
Starting point is 01:12:30 I don't really understand how these things work. I know. Sometimes it's a recoupling, but no one goes home. Sometimes it's, so yes, Jen will go with Gabriel. I don't know who else people would vote for her to be with. Oh, I guess she spoke to Zach. If people don't like Kada, they'll, do people not like Kada? No, people are rooting for Kada.
Starting point is 01:12:44 Okay, great. So please keep Jen with Gabriel. Soul and sincere. I love them. I love them. Let me tell you about this girl, soul. You have to have, like, insane confidence to go on a show like this with no hair. And I think you actually have to have insane confidence.
Starting point is 01:12:58 to walk through life as just a woman with no hair. We put so much emphasis on her. I could never fucking do it. When I tell you, like, her aura is elite. Like, she doesn't give a fuck. She's the most insane body. I saw somebody on Twitter say, Sol's body's so insane, it makes me want to go to the gym.
Starting point is 01:13:14 Like, it's literally, she's such an body tea, as the kids say. And she's kind of radiant. Like, I really like her. And I think that Sincer also has, because the way people talk about him, and you see it on the show, I think he has this like amazing aura as well, like a great personality, really nice guy. Like he's an oldest of five siblings, like a real man.
Starting point is 01:13:33 And he's very sincere, of course. I think that they're an elite duo. Let me tell you if these two couple up, I will vote for them to win the show. Yeah, except no, sorry, Anaya and Casey, except Anaya's like. This is a, no, Anaya and Casey are on thin ice. You know, they're one bombshell away from destruction. I know except like she was kind of pissing me off because like she was being I understand why she's looking for problems no no no I understand why she's hurt but you can't be a phibis and I put him crying
Starting point is 01:14:05 around the bill all day nobody wants to be around that complaining it was like it was insecure that's what Melanie did and it makes it a self-fulfilling prophecy it's like well yeah no I don't want to be with you if all of our chats are just you telling me what I did wrong and I understand me Jackie understands that what Casey did was wrong and it hurts your feelings but like you have to put on a a happy face because you don't just just want to be like the girl crying all day. Nobody wants to be in a relationship with that. And like,
Starting point is 01:14:30 was it raining all day? The weather was like so off. I didn't notice. Oh, you didn't? I thought it was like so crazy that it was cloudy. Oh, I saw some wind, but I liked it. I was happy for them to get a nice...
Starting point is 01:14:41 And then somebody was like, it's quite breezy in it. I like that. I'm happy for them in the wind. So anyways, and yeah, I feel like Casey if like, if a bombshell like we're locked in on Casey, like right now Sol and Jen like aren't really like,
Starting point is 01:14:54 he's not their number one. So it's like not an issue. but I feel like he might deviate and they're not as strong. They're just strong right now because nothing's come between them. Yes, they're not strong enough and she is not like, like bold. And I could see that if her relationship was threatened, she would probably just end up going home because she's not like a mover or shake her in the house. She doesn't like start drama.
Starting point is 01:15:14 She doesn't yell. That's why I like her. Like she's very normal. And normal doesn't do well here. Hi, Sean and Jalen. But a bombshell could come in, turn Casey's head. he goes down that path and then he realizes that it's a naya for him
Starting point is 01:15:28 and then they would be set but like they haven't had any sort of test yet and I just I could see him passing the test I could see him failing the test but still and sincere if they you know if they make a go of it they just seem like they could go on and on who do you think this is going to be the first couple
Starting point is 01:15:45 to close off I do feel like this saga between Keda and Zach even though it's like been a red flag I think it probably will lead them because like the logical thing is like, I didn't like that you were with another guy, but you have to be with other guys because that's what we're here to do. Hmm, if only was there,
Starting point is 01:16:00 if there was a way for you to not be with other guys. Like, it's sort of the logical place to land. Yeah, but he's not seeing it that way. He's like, I don't want to close off with you because you're not someone who like would treat me with more respect. It was loki manipulative. It was. And I felt really bad for her because obviously she doesn't give a shit about Caleb.
Starting point is 01:16:20 She was just like putting on because it's like funny. That's what you're supposed to do. You have to like cheer with me. There's a text. Like, yeah, you have to do these things. Yeah. And it's like, oh, all of a sudden I did too much. Like Bryce and Jen know each other.
Starting point is 01:16:34 Oh, yeah, from the modeling world. That was weird. Like, what are the odds? But like Asian Shelley knew each other. Yeah. I think it's a small world when you're an Instagram model. Like, of thought land. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:16:46 Bryce and Trinity are adorable. Adorable. I don't know if there's like a huge romantic connection there, but they're definitely really good friends and they're having a lot of fun. Yeah, but if they can like, find romance they could win. Yeah. They could win.
Starting point is 01:17:01 I think they're very beloved. Yes, they are the fans like ride for Trinity. Why am I getting the feeling that Kenzie likes Corbyn more than she likes Caleb? Oh, no. I feel like... She's done with Corbyn? Oh, he's gone. Like, I think that it was very convenient for that it had been like a really attractive
Starting point is 01:17:19 bombshell and her to have been like one of the only single gals and he was interested in her. Like it was truly a situation, like a connection of convenience. No, but like he liked her too and she liked him. Oh, he by the way, he likes her. And they're the only ones making out in the bed at night. This new. You know, it's always fun to make out when it's new. Tomorrow they won't make out.
Starting point is 01:17:36 But you know what? If Corvin is single and Melanie is single, I think they should give it a shot. They like have their eyes on each other. Sure. Corbin is freaky. Like, I don't know. I can't get a read on him. No, and like his personality just stinks.
Starting point is 01:17:49 Like it's just like. That's so mean. It's just like crazy how like when he came in and he starts talking about his like life. It was just a red flag, I feel like for everyone. Like, you're not being genuine and you're tracked GPT. Like, this is not real. Meanwhile, Caleb comes in and there's no question. Like, he's just talking.
Starting point is 01:18:05 Like, and it's just himself. And most people are like that. Even sincere talking about how he wants to go on a road trip to nowhere. Like, okay. Like, and she was like, like, drive aimlessly. And he was like, yeah, like drive aimlessly. Like, I love that. They're perfect for each other.
Starting point is 01:18:18 But like, Corbett doesn't say anything. No, but he did say that he wanted to, you know, experiment with handcuffs and blind. folds he's freaky as fuck like i agree he doesn't really offer anything substantial he doesn't have deep conversations and i think that like when you're spending all fucking day with these people i think it gets boring really quickly if you're not having actual conversations and people's looks go out of the window so fast a thousand percent like you're genuinely does not matter what you look like and the girls look so cute every day and i'm like all the time put on her i'm gonna get my man back
Starting point is 01:18:49 outfit like with her bathing suit and her hat i'm like you look adorable you've got this and it's like it doesn't matter what you look like Yeah, it's true. Like the looks get stripped away. That's why bombshells like burn bright and fast because it's something new. But very quickly, like your personality is kind of everything when you're spending all fucking day with these people. And you do then just find yourself attracted to people with attractive personalities. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:10 But I guess for like bombshells who come in, they might look at the old villagers. Like if someone there is their type and they want to get to know that. That's the only way how you can be seen again is from someone that's out. Yeah. Fresh eyes. totally it's your only chance at like truly like glimmering for a minute it's just become an old villager it just seriously looks horrible like the experience I'm sorry I could never go on the show these people who do this show have earned every single
Starting point is 01:19:40 follower dollar fame opportunity that they get this show is a humiliation ritual absolutely it is torture too like it is truly a form of of intellectual, spiritual, physical, and mental torture. There were, like, eliminations where the couples had to, like, choose couples to go home. Like, when the islanders have to choose each other, and it's, like, not just, like, a bombshell, we don't know. It's like, you have to choose, like, you're the person who's been with you.
Starting point is 01:20:07 No, it's like when you're, like, a hostage, and then the hostage holder makes one of the hostagers kill another hostage. Like, that's literally what it feels like. That's what it feels like to them. Like, they go through so much to be on the show. And, like, even all the makeouts and they're porn stars. Yeah. Oh, you know, I was thinking that when they were getting ready for the challenge,
Starting point is 01:20:26 they all got on the bed and they filmed them in slow motion like in the white lingerie, like throwing pillows at each other and they're like zooming in on people's ass cheeks. I'm like, it's so crazy. You graduated nursing school last week and now you are like an adult film entertainer. Yeah. And a lot of them come in with like jobs like I make elevators. I'm like, well, you also do porn. Like it's crazy. You do porn, but it's not like sometimes porn stars like they don't have to also, you know, be on camera personalities and like they're doing all of like talking, doing their makeup artist, their hair stylist,
Starting point is 01:20:56 they're a makeup artist, their hairstylist. No, but it's just funny because, like, you know, a brand would never do a brand deal with a porn star. Like, but you'll do a brand deal with somebody from Love Island. Like, it's the same thing. Yeah, no, but it's, porn is a part of the job for sure,
Starting point is 01:21:10 but it's not the whole part. It's not the whole thing. So, like, they're doing a lot. They deserve it all. Agreed. And they're risking a lot because you could end up like Sean, who gave it all up for nothing. For nothing.
Starting point is 01:21:23 You see Jalen posted about John? He posted a Spider-Man meme, like two Spider-Man's pointing at each other, Jalen and Sean. And he said, keep your head up, brother. Something like that. Maybe he'll be married by the end of the year. It's true.
Starting point is 01:21:37 Anything can happen. But it's more about so about the police force and the job. Of course, and the mayor. And the unemployment. Yeah. By the way, Nalafi for you. Make sure to head over to shoptoastmerch.com
