Starting point is 00:00:09 It's Jackson, Claude and favorite show The Fast Five Things You Need to know We'll start your day off, Swirley, It's the Toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Thursday. Hope everybody's having a great latter half of the week. How are you? Oh my God, me?
Starting point is 00:00:33 I'm okay. I'm like a stress for a morning. It's an intense morning for turdial. Like nothing major, just like drama. It's all sort of like made up in your head, but real nonetheless. No, and the thing is what nobody talks about is pregnancy rage. Like people are super hormonal. They're like, I'm so emotional.
Starting point is 00:00:49 I'm like, I'm rageful. Like little things that would upset me, especially like vehicular stuff. Like when people are driving slow. I actually get afraid. It's like not good for me or the baby. How angry I get. Like I'm working on it. Maybe it is good for the baby though because it's what your body's naturally doing.
Starting point is 00:01:04 So maybe it's just like what you're saying I should lean in more. Yeah. No, it's like you have to trust your body, right? Every time I get really angry, Ben's like, calm down. Not calm down because I would slap. He's like, it's okay, you're valid. This is not good for the baby. And I'm like, don't say that.
Starting point is 00:01:16 What if it is? What if it's just what the baby wants? Yeah. I think it is. Otherwise, you wouldn't be doing it. Thousand percent. Lean in. I did get a prenatal massage yesterday, which should be covered by medical insurance.
Starting point is 00:01:27 It was like so medically necessary. One of the ones where you're on your side. Have you ever done the ones where they have like the hole in the table? Yes. So much better. It depends. I like being on my side. I did the hole in the table one once and it was just too much.
Starting point is 00:01:40 Like I think I was lightheaded when I got it. up. I did one in the hole in the table and like I actually at one point like moaned out loud. Like it was so amazing and it was at the point in the pregnancy where I really hadn't slept on my stomach in months. Like I'm still like Loki a little bit on my stomach. Not really. But side is good. But they make you flop around a lot. Turn to the right. Turn to left. Turn to your back. It's like you could also say like I don't want to turn. The turning is like deeply. You could say I don't want to turn like humiliating. Like you're humiliating. Pick a spot and it's your massage. If you ever, you're the boss. You're like naked and rolled like oiled up and they're like even in a regular massage when you need to like flip from
Starting point is 00:02:12 back to front. It's humiliating. It's just destabilizing, really. And I always wonder, I wonder if she's, like, judging me. So I try to be, like, really graceful. It was hard. But they pick up the sheet so that they don't see. Of course.
Starting point is 00:02:24 Oh, my God. That's between me and God. Hopefully. That's between me and God. Well, that's good. I'm glad that you were feeling relaxed, but now feeling rageful once again. Yes.
Starting point is 00:02:32 The pregnancy rage lingers on. Good thing. Like, that's carrying me between my first and second pregnancies. Like, I didn't know if that was going to come this time. I feel that a little bit. I can confirm the rage. Postpartum rage as well, like the breastfeeding hormones. my hormones manifest themselves in rage.
Starting point is 00:02:44 Maybe we just have anger issues. No. Because would you say like not postpartum, not pregnant? You don't feel rage. I mean, like a normal amount for sure. But no, I actually think like when I was growing up, I had such a short temper. And I've actually noticed in my maturity and my adulthood, like I'm much better about it. Like I don't really get angry like crazy like that unless there's like, you know,
Starting point is 00:03:06 extended circumstances, of course. But no, in pregnancy, like I'm a rageful, like very angry. woman. Cool, cool, cool. There's nothing like a mad woman. What a shame she went mad. Cool, cool. No one likes a madwoman. They made her like that true. Cool, cool. And if I'm so a man, sent a hand on a woman and you find something to wrap your new surround. I heard a really good mashup yesterday. Okay, DJ Earworm. Even better than this one. No such thing, but I'll...
Starting point is 00:03:39 It was, you've probably heard it. I know what it is. Babylon will come back, be here. Yeah. So good. So good. I'm glad it made its way to rails. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:47 People are like, yeah, definitely. People on Instagram are like loving it. I think so. I'm loving it. I'm so glad. Did you see the real I sent you yesterday of that boy sneezing? I did. You're actually, that sentence is like the chugiest thing you've ever said.
Starting point is 00:04:06 Did you ever see that before? I didn't. And I can't like. I didn't really crack up, but I loved it for you. Oh my God, I was like, oh, that's funny. And it's like, you know, ha-ha. I'll post it to my story after this. It's classic stuff.
Starting point is 00:04:25 You know, it was clever. It was very clever. But I just knew you were like shaking as you sent it to me. And I was like, oh, it's funny. Ben would appreciate it. I should have sent it to Ben. And that's just like a sign that it's not funny. You know?
Starting point is 00:04:39 Oh, my gosh, I'm cracking last. Last night I didn't like watch any TV really. I just watched a lot of clips. Oh, that's like a, that's genuinely like a horrible way to spend your night. But like, yeah. So bad for your brain. I tried. I turned on my television.
Starting point is 00:04:51 I put on like Hulu and Netflix. And there were things that looked good. I just wasn't in the mood for something good. So I started the girls. Oh, the Paramount. The Kim Kardashian. Yeah. The Chloe show.
Starting point is 00:05:02 Oh, oh, sorry. I was talking about the team moms. No, no. I didn't start team moms. I started the girls. Oh, all the things. Like that's what you started? That's what I gravitate towards.
Starting point is 00:05:10 That's just like mindless reality TV. And I didn't get through 10 minutes. Yeah. It was not good. It was so strange. And you're like primed to like it because you love those girls. You love Nat and Liv. I don't like it.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Nobody on earth will. That's so sad for Chloe. It was so strange just the setup. Yeah. What do you mean? Putting all their friends together. They refuse to. They're on FaceTime, but Chloe will not film with them.
Starting point is 00:05:36 One of the girls, Iris, I think, is more Kylie's friend. And she's going to, like, fight with people. And it's like go and film a show and fight. Yeah, it's not natural. No, it was so not natural. Yeah. So that was like a bit of voice of times. I watched old dancing with the stars clips.
Starting point is 00:05:52 Oh, I watched old episodes of The Nanny. I'm in a phase where like I can't really accept anything new. All the music I listen to was like old music. I just like I'm not in the mood to like discover new things. So I'm watching The Nanny. It's literally the best show on TV. And I don't know exactly what years it aired. But it must have been the most popular show on TV at the time.
Starting point is 00:06:10 You know, Elizabeth, Taylor did a guest star. Last night, Elton John, the episode I watched, Roseanne. Like, every famous person in the world was on the show. Like, it must have been huge. Do you hear Roseanne is making a comeback? No, I did it. She's going to be in a new show. On, like a... Let me see. Like, not on, you know, YouTube or whatever. You know, actually... Or like, or like, or social. Yeah, like, is it a fake or a real? Give me a minute. Because I watched her, she played, um, uh, Franz, like, cousin Shirley, who's like an interior designer
Starting point is 00:06:43 who she hires to like do the kitchen. And I have to say it was a pretty bad performance. Ben and I were pretty shook at her acting skills. And that was I think like Roseanne's peak. Like Roseanne was Roseanne at the time like because she was that bitch. And I'm like, she kind of sucks. Like she was really bad. So you're saying Roseanne's not a good action. You want to know what? No, she doesn't play Jewish well.
Starting point is 00:06:59 She's not Jewish, right? She is. Oh, no, my. Oh, okay. Are you sure? Right? Roseanne Barr? I don't think she's Jewish. Is she Jewish? Is she Jewish? I don't think so. And also like maybe I had a dream that Roseanne was making it. comebacks. I'm not really finding. She is Jewish. Oh, that's interesting. She wasn't giving like Flushing's Jew, you know? The series, her comeback series is called Mima. Who's on it? I mean, sorry, where, what's it on? It's not a comeback if you're not like on a major.
Starting point is 00:07:24 It's true. Okay, wait, it's giving, it says indie. I am independently produced television series. It's being shopped to distributors. I guess, okay, so someone could pick it up, TBD, if it's a comeback. Yeah. Good luck. Oh, wow, where I was in, Jewish? I literally didn't know that. Yeah. Does that change how you feel? No. Her performance. No, she wasn't like convincing.
Starting point is 00:07:48 Like imagine, like she must be that bad of an actress that like you're actually Jewish and I didn't even buy it, you know? Mm-hmm. I didn't buy it. Elizabeth Taylor. What else did I scan past last evening? East of Eden is a show that looked good on Netflix, but I didn't want to watch something that looked good. And I don't know why. I just feel like you are sort of incapable.
Starting point is 00:08:10 of liking something that Florence Pugh is in. Do you know what you mean? I know, but I was looking at her face in the small trailer, and she actually was reminding me a lot of Kate Winslet in the sense that she's just like an actress. She can be anything. She doesn't have plastic surgery face where it's like, you can't be in a period piece.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Yeah, she really looked like a young Kate Winslet, and I was like, it's not flow. You know, and I don't know why I think that. I think her name is Kate. I don't know why I think that, like, you wouldn't like the stuff that she's in. I think I would actually. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:39 I would just open up. Did you see Oppenheimer? No. She wasn't. You didn't? No. You should watch it. It's really good.
Starting point is 00:08:45 I should. I really enjoyed it. And like I didn't even know a lot about, you know, the man. I also should watch Little Women. Which one? Like the recent. The Timothy one. Timothy.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Yeah. We should read Little Women, actually. And I also need to watch the Banana Bowl with my children. Speaking of clips, I pretty much watched the whole Bananables. I haven't seen anything. It's like the Irish tour. In Sunday morning, I was like, bombarded with content by it. And I was so.
Starting point is 00:09:10 upset that I didn't watch it. It looked so cute. The Jonas Brothers performed, Andy Gramber, performed like all of our guys. No, no, no. Next time I'm looking for something to watch with the kids. I'm going to watch the banana bowl. It looked like seriously like Joy. And I think it's also a, people can explain to me what goes on to the banana bowl games, like as much as they want. I will never understand like how it's a theatrical performance and baseball. But I believe the bananas lost. Jackson said it on Dancing with the Stars. Like it wasn't the outcome he wanted, but like, you know, it was an amazing. And I think the guy who started. The Banana Bowl, it's like this amazing story where he's just like some random guy who like wanted to dance,
Starting point is 00:09:46 you know, and he hired these rag tag. And now there really are a league. There's like six teams. There used to just be one. And then there was two, the party animals. And now there's six teams and they all play each other and they all dance. And it's apparently like a big thing. And he's like on his way to being like the world's first ethical billionaire, you know,
Starting point is 00:10:01 because he refuses. He will not sell. He will not sell his company. He said even if I got offered. What makes him ethical? He just really does it for the love of like family children. Like he just wants it. to be fun. He wants it to be this positive. And he's the world's first. Who said that?
Starting point is 00:10:13 You know, like, billionaires are evil. And they're like, every time he does an interview. And it's like, he really is. He's, he must be worth like a hundred million dollars now. And this is like, one or two years. The banana was just getting started. And he really, like you could tell he just does it for the love of the game. Like it's, the millions are just. The cherry on top. Yeah. And he's like, he will never sell. I guess they're not that they infringe at all on the MLB. because it's really its own sport. It's not even like, I know it's baseball, but he's kind of creating a whole new league.
Starting point is 00:10:45 Yeah. And now it's being televised on Hulu. Like, I'm telling you, they're on their way. And now, like, young men like Troy Bolton don't have to choose between sports and theatrics. Oh my God. Had there only been the Savannah bananas of Albuquerque? Right.
Starting point is 00:10:58 It would have been a perfect thing for him. And maybe that's an issue that happens more frequently than you would think. Like young athletic men who have a love for theater. Who've got like a little pep in their step. Yeah. It sort of reminds me of Disney on ice. Like people who don't cut it as hockey players or figure skaters. Or theatrical hockey players, figure skaters, Olympians.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Yeah. Then they can take their talents to Disney on ice. And I like when we create like new professions for athletes. Like how there's not like competitive cheerleading past collegiate level. I am waiting for that league to start. So this is so fun. And it's all like kids love it. Like it's a really nice.
Starting point is 00:11:31 And so I was watching the clips. And I was like, why do I feel like I would really enjoy this? You know what they need to do that for? La Crosse. Yeah, except... Cross, like, is so competitive in middle school and high school and college, and then there's no career for it. But I also feel like it's kind of a regional thing.
Starting point is 00:11:49 Like, it's not big outside of New England, is it? It's like a very waspy sport. Sure, but a lot of, you could say golf, skiing. Like, some things are regional because they have to be. Yeah, I guess. I don't know why. I don't feel like lacrosse is mainstream. I just don't know why if you're an athletic youngster, why you would go all in on
Starting point is 00:12:07 lacrosse when there's no career path. Yeah. If I'm an athletic youngster, like, I'm definitely now gunning for like a place on the Savannah bananas. Yeah. Also, now hockey's really picking up. So you might be going for hockey. Yeah. You know my favorite fun fact about Savannah bananas. Like his girlfriend is Pat Sejack's daughter. Yeah, I know. I'm like always telling people that. Oh, well, that actually is like a good segue into our first story into one of our stories that I would now make our first. Oh my God. Did you see? Is it the story that Tyler Cameron's dancing to supermarket flowers? No, what's that? So they released? Yeah, it's a story of dedications. And I don't know if they released everyone's songs,
Starting point is 00:12:39 but the supermarket flowers is the song about, it's Ed Shear and you definitely know it. It's like about losing a loved one. It's like the saddest song ever. And he's dedicating his dance to mothers everywhere. And I just want to let you know, like I cried reading the description and I will be crying. I need Ben to like go out that night because I need to watch it by myself.
Starting point is 00:12:57 Like I will be crying. Yeah. We'll get into all the dedications. And the funny thing is, is that, you know, people are like, you know, dedication. First of all, you really like can't. send someone home. But, you know, there's like a famous
Starting point is 00:13:09 night in Dancing with the Stars history when James Vanderbeek was on, and he shared that like that week or like in the weeks prior, his wife had miscarried. And that's the night they sent him home home. He did the dance for his wife. It was all about the miscarriage. And like, literally they sent him home that night. Isn't that insane? That's really disgusting. I was going to say, like, you can't send Tyler home when he does this beautiful thing, but you actually can. Are disgusting. But maybe they won't send someone home and then the week after send two people home. That works for me. I am waiting for a double elimination. There are still far too many people in this season and they, oh, what's the double elimination?
Starting point is 00:13:39 Also, Guillermo said that if he had made it to dedication night, he was dancing for Jimmy Kimmel. Oh, you know what? I'm glad to have been. So, Jimmy probably called ABC and told them to throw him off. So he didn't have to show up to dancing with the stars. That is strange, I just want to say. Why? It's like not meaningful at all.
Starting point is 00:13:55 Well, I actually think they would make it meaningful. I'm sure Jimmy Kimmel changed his life. And I'm sure Jimmy has done like amazing things for him and his family, but like, if I'm his wife. I think it would have been a nice moment. No, because of course, like, even yesterday we were talking about, like, you would dance for Ben. Like, of course I could dance for my husband. Like, of course. Of course.
Starting point is 00:14:12 A lot of people pointed out, we could dance for our deceased father, which we actually forgot to mention. Which we didn't even think. We didn't. Our bad. I just feel like, like, no. Yeah, no. And it's like, it's not what he would have wanted.
Starting point is 00:14:23 I just want to say, he did like dancing with the stars. Daddy? Yeah. I think he used to watch Dancing with Stars. Are you serious? Before I, like, slander. Ask Olivia. I just feel like that's a lot of.
Starting point is 00:14:33 like maybe a memory you are making up. No, because I remember, and I'll have to check the years, but I remember like when Kim Kardashian was on that like it was, that he was watching it. What? Yeah. And we were like, oh my God, Kim Kardashian. Can you find out when Kim was on if he was even alive? Yeah, right. Watch it's like 10 years after. No, if he was alive when Kim was on, then your memory serves you correctly. The year he died. What months were the episodes airing? Yeah, what day exactly did you get eliminated? What month is it now? It's October. Now. It was September and October.
Starting point is 00:15:06 No, no, but what day did Kim Kardashian get eliminated? She, well, five days before his death. Maybe he died because he was so heartbroken. Maybe. That she was eliminated. Maybe. Chilling to think about it. Is that my last memory of my father?
Starting point is 00:15:20 But like, where were you, like physically? In the house? Uh-huh. In the room that was like his office. But I'm saying, like, why would you have been in that house? We weren't living in that house. Our parents were recently divorced. Maybe you were visiting for the,
Starting point is 00:15:33 Was it Rocha Shana? When was Rocha Shana 2008? Because he died in between Rocha Shana and Yomte. Maybe I did second night. There, watch Kim go home. Watch his space. The night Kim was eliminated. She was eliminated on Rush Ashana.
Starting point is 00:15:50 So maybe like after dinner, he like posted on the couch. We watched. I have zero memory of this. Kim was eliminated and that's my final memory. And broke our father's heart permanently. I think I'm right. I believe you by the day's check out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:06 September 13. September 30th. He passed on October 4th, 2008. Chilling. Never saw the next episode. And you know what? It's good he wasn't alive to see her, you know, to see the show would go on without her. So I think I will dance for him. That's beautiful. And you can tell the story. They could play this click. We could us discovering that he was a fan, a dancing at the stars. We'll have to have Olivia corroborate just like 100%, but I believe you.
Starting point is 00:16:29 I just maybe I believe myself. How about that? Okay, I love that. Wait, she texted. What did she say? On calls, what's up? Of course she is. Businesswoman. I need you to fact check for the toast. Childhood memory. I feel like she'll take this seriously
Starting point is 00:16:42 and hang up her calls. No, I feel like you could just text it to her if you want. No, no, no. I need to set it up. Okay, okay. You know? Whenever she calls back, we'll pick up. And in the meantime, we'll do our job.
Starting point is 00:16:52 Today's episode is brought to you by Peory. So for years, I think a lot of us thought we were eating enough protein. And then you actually track it for one week and you'll realize you'll be like literally nowhere near you want to be. And it's not really like a willpower problem. It's a volume problem. Some of us really can't physically eat like a chicken breast in the middle of the day. And that's why a scoop of Peori, grass-fed weight protein,
Starting point is 00:17:10 lives in our morning coffee now, 21 grams of protein, five ingredients, real bourbon vanilla from Madagascar, and it tastes like food, not candy. And obviously, there are a lot of options for protein on the market. What really will sell you is the label. So consumer reports found more than two-thirds of protein powders tested were over California Prop 65 safety limit for lead. And Peoria is the only supplement brand with the Clean Label Project Transparency Award. So every single batch is third-party tested against over 200 contaminants. The results are published, you can scan the QR code on their label to see the results for your specific batch. Again, the vanilla has 21 grams of protein per scoop. It's from pasture raised and grass fed weight
Starting point is 00:17:46 protein and only has five ingredients. They have an unflavored option, which has 24 grams of protein per scoop. It's also from pasture raised and grass fed weight protein and it only has one ingredient. The dark chocolate has 21 grams of protein per scoop from pasture raised and grass fed weight protein and only has four ingredients. So Peoria is the only supplement brand with the Clean Label Project Transparency Award. Every single batch is a third party tested against over two intracantamins. The results are published and you can scan the QR code on the label to see results for your specific batch. So this is just a company that's obsessed with getting rid of bad breath, which is a mission and a cause that I'm deeply passionate about as a person with a sensitive nose. And also, like, even when I'm not pregnant, I'm very, very sensitive to smell. People's breath, I just can't be around. And I don't think enough people are taking care of their breath. And I think a lot of us rely on like old school mouthwash, which is really just like a perfume. The ingredients are not good.
Starting point is 00:21:42 They don't get rid of bad breath. They just sort of mask it temporarily. And it's not enough. The dual solution from SmartMouth mixes as you pour. It activates billions of zinc ions. It will instantly eliminate bad breath and keep it away all day. Backed by science, developed by the dentist who literally wrote the book on Bad Breath, the Encyclopedia section, actually.
Starting point is 00:22:00 So upgrade to the smarter mouthwash. Find Smart Mouth at Walgreens, Walmart, and Amazon, or very. Visit smartmouth.com. Starting point is 00:22:20 Thank you, Tert. I did want to remind everyone that the dear toasters community will be fed today. So I forgot to say that at the beginning. We are women of our word. Our D-T-Q-O-T, Dear Toasters Community on Thursday, starts today. First story, Dancing with the Star is dedicated. vacation night reveal. Here is who the contestants are honoring. So we just got the list of they always preview what people are dancing to. Now we will know who they are dancing for in advance.
Starting point is 00:22:46 So first we have Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa. They'll be dancing to Can't Take My Eyes Off of You. And she is dedicating her dance to Heath Ledger. Oh, okay. So I saw this. And obviously, like, that's really beautiful. And I don't, like, I don't claim to know about their, like much about their relationship. But it doesn't it feel like just like a little like I'm not not speaking because I'm afraid what is the word? Um like you're telling me like of all the people in our whole life like the one person she wants to dedicated to is Heath Ledger. Like I love Heath Ledger. He's worthy of the dedication. They did one movie together like 40 years ago. Are like were they that tight? It just feels like a little bit like how she did her so you think you can dance dance last week like just sort of like a an
Starting point is 00:23:32 not an attention grab. What's the word I'm looking for? Like I guess we'll have to learn in the package like more about their relationship. Also, I misread this article yesterday and I thought Tatiana was dancing for Heath Ledger. I just assumed they were friends. I don't know. I just got confused. And when I thought it was Tatiana, I was okay with it. So I have to be okay with it with it being Julia-Siles.
Starting point is 00:23:50 And like, as far as I know, they did one movie together, like, maybe there's a whole relationship there that I don't know. But it just feels like they're relying a lot on, like, her lore to carry them through because, like, it's just not working otherwise. Is that mean to say? No, they are. That's what you do. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:06 Like a little sticky. Yeah, of course. And that's not to say that Keith Ledger absolutely deserves this great honor. Yeah, it's a great honor. I will wait to see the package. Like maybe they were friends for life. Yeah, no, I'm being a bitch. I need to know more.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Yeah. Harry Shum Jr. is going to dedicate his fox trot to his wife. They're dancing to stop this train by John Mayer. That's such a good song. It could be the thing. It could be the thing. Jackson Olson will be dancing to L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole, dedicating to his mom. Anyone who dedicates to their mother?
Starting point is 00:24:39 Like, sorry you're getting my votes. Yeah, he is dating Pat. Say Jack's daughter. But that's just his girlfriend. You can't dedicate to your girlfriend. I mean, you can if you're going to propose. On the dance floor. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:49 Yeah, that's the only way. Tyler, dancing to supermarket flowers, dedicated to mothers everywhere. So he's dedicating his dance to us. Yeah, because obviously we knew he wanted to dance for his mom. His mom is like a big part of his story
Starting point is 00:25:01 when he was on the bachelor. She was obviously on it. She was kind of like a fan favorite. People loved her. And then when he, he became so famous, like on social media. Like, people just loved his mom. And she really passed away so suddenly.
Starting point is 00:25:12 Like, in a matter of 24 hours, she had a brain aneurys. I'm like, it was not, she was not sick. Like, really, it was so, so sad. And he's, like, so committed after her death to, like, raising money and her honor. Me and Ben just went, like, a couple months ago to go to one of his, like, foundation things. Like, he has this amazing foundation where they provide scholarships. Like, he's so passionate about keeping his mom's memory alive. And I feel like that is part of the reason why he agreed to do this show.
Starting point is 00:25:33 And for him to then do it, like, for his mom, but also mothers everywhere. Yeah, you're not going home. Sorry. Next we have Jen and Dewan. She's dancing for her mom, Nancy. Like I said, a mom is like a really good way to get me to care. Yeah. I don't know anything about Jen and Dewan's mom, but I'm looking forward to learning. I'm looking forward to learning as well.
Starting point is 00:25:51 Connor Wood will be dancing for his dad, Pete. I love that. And also I meant to tell you I saw this TikTok today that like you're going to like love. So it was this girl just talking about as she realized like this most beautiful thing. One of like the random friends that's come out of this season is Connor and Ezra Fred. They're like really, really close. They make like all their TikToks together. They're obviously always hanging out.
Starting point is 00:26:10 Fibula has like talked really positively about him on the podcast. And you know Ezra Fraghe was like born with some sort of like limb disability. And one of the things that he was born without is a fibula. And now he has his fibula. Isn't that really cute? I have chills. Why is Fibula called Fibula? No clue.
Starting point is 00:26:30 That's just like how I'm girl with no job. He's fibula. I can't. I don't know. I'm sure there's like lore, but I don't know it. Okay. That's really cute. Ezra will be dancing for his mother, Bihar.
Starting point is 00:26:40 I'm ready to cry. I'm ready to cry. Whenever they talk about like Ezra as a kid and they show pictures of him, like I actually can't. Ellen, just being like the most mature, emotionally intelligent child you've ever seen. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:26:51 honestly, I never took into consideration what it's like to be pregnant watching Dancing with the Star's Dedication Night. Like, I'm going to be crying the whole time. Amber Glenn will be dancing for her sister. Oh, sister swirl. To Breathe Me by Sia.
Starting point is 00:27:05 Now, remind me, this night do the people, is it a threesome night? Don't ask me. Okay. I think it is. Then Morah Higgins will be dancing for Ireland. You know what I thought this was interesting? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:19 They're doing a Pasadoblae for Ireland. They should do like an Irish jig. Of course. I think this could be really good. Yeah, I want to hear like why. I know she's like so proud to be Irish. Yeah. And she's so Irish and she's in this foreign country.
Starting point is 00:27:32 And I think she also really represents like a kind of the Irish dream. Like she grew up like super poor in a rural area. So I'm looking forward to that. That's nice. I like, and it's a little different. Agreed. Tatiana Ali has not announced who she's dancing for yet. And it's going to be announced on the official Dancing with the Stars podcast, which comes out at noon today.
Starting point is 00:27:51 So it's obviously Uncle Phil, right? He passed away. Oh. But why wouldn't they, why does it have to be a special announcement? Why does anything have to be a special announcement? So it's not, she's just, I don't think it's like, I think people might be reading into it too much. She's just every week. One of the contestants is the guest on the podcast.
Starting point is 00:28:04 She's the guest. this week. And so, like, they're making it a thing. I don't think it's that big of a thing, honestly. Or I know she has, like, a lot of her platform as a celebrity is about maternal health. So, like, maybe it'll have something to do with that. Okay. I don't know. I'm just guessing. Or she was going to do like a Julius Diles where it's like her public person who passed, which is the dad from Fresh Prince, right? Yeah. Anyone else from Fresh Prince pass away? No. Not pass away, but it doesn't have to be someone who passed away. Oh, right, right, right. It could be Will Smith. Oh, I would love to see Will Smith in the ballroom shaking.
Starting point is 00:28:35 that thing. It could be Alfonso. I do love their friendship. Yeah. Like Alfonso is like very professional. He doesn't like, Julianso and he's like, and he only gets like excited when he sees Tatiana. It's really cute. Yeah. Okay, so it's going to be a great night. See you next week. It's going to be extremely emotional. Our next story, Megan Markle
Starting point is 00:28:55 and Prince Harry are back in the UK. Which we knew. They have made their first official joint appearance doing a walkabout in Nottingham this morning. When I saw these pictures I was very confused because they looked like pictures from their time. From back in the day when they were working royals. Part of your job as a working royal is doing this thing called a walkabout where like literally
Starting point is 00:29:12 just droves of people show up behind barricades to see you. You walk, you chat with the commoners, you get flowers, you get gifts. And it's just like, you've seen it in the crown. Like it's something only royals to. Yeah. So when literally page six just posted these photos and I was like, are these from today? It's kind of crazy to like stage your own walkabout. No, it's fucking crazy that you've done this.
Starting point is 00:29:34 Yeah. It's giving like a very off brand generic brand walkabout. Like that's not a thing. We'll put up the barricades. That's not a thing that a celebrity would do. But the thing is, is that like Harry is technically. Like this beloved prince who, you know, Princess Diana. Like I could see why people would show up.
Starting point is 00:29:55 I'm not questioning the people who showed up. I mean either I. They could be getting paid. Like the photos like literally it could be Kate. Like you accept the bouquet of flowers. These photos could be from six years ago. Yeah. It's textbook walkabout, which is not a thing that happens, one, organically for even royals, but two, happens for celebrities.
Starting point is 00:30:11 It's very weird. Like, it's really weird. What are they trying to do, just, like, act like royals and just pretend their royals again? But the thing is, is that, like, you didn't like being royals. Maybe they liked the walkabouts. I do want to say, they look lovely, like, people just telling you, like, how amazing and beautiful you are. Everyone has flowers for you. All these children look up to you.
Starting point is 00:30:30 They cry. Like, you mean so much. It sounds amazing. Who wouldn't want to do it. But you had that and you both hated it. You left. Now you're returning to the place, returning to the job in all but a formal capacity.
Starting point is 00:30:41 Like doing it for free. I don't know. Maybe there's just like going to do this until Charles like just sort of has to absorb them back. Yeah, like unignorable. But I feel that Charles is like low key very quiet these days. I feel like his health might be, you know, not the best.
Starting point is 00:30:57 And I really don't think he's even thinking about these two. Because you know, I believe he's not even biologically related to Harry. So it's like, why is this random guy doing it? walk him out. In my name. In my country. Right. Did you see Mimi Webb saying the national anthem at the NFL game that, you know, NFL
Starting point is 00:31:12 does this like international where they make the players fly? I think the most recent game was in the UK. So they also sang the UK national anthem, which is lovely. And Mimi Webb saying it. She was beautiful. I did see. And I guess they changed the song when it's like king or queen because I always sing, long live our noble queen.
Starting point is 00:31:29 But she said king, I guess, yeah. Yes, because they have a king. And we've only been alive with Queen Elizabeth, so that's the only version we ever heard. And it was the first time I really put together, land where are fathers. It's the same tune. Yeah. Land. We like stole it, you know, to like sort of stunt on them hoes.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Well, we're just like their cousins. Yeah, right. From family lore. Yeah, right. Let freedom ring. Yeah. I never realized that. That's a sleigh on our part.
Starting point is 00:32:01 So I'm just seeing of like William and Kate looking at these pictures. and dying, like literally dying. There's so many reasons why it's weird. Like one, it's just like a weird thing to do. But two, it's like this was the life you had and you didn't like it. Yeah. And this is not something that you do unless you are in a public working royal position. I will say a couple positives.
Starting point is 00:32:22 She looks amazing. Let me see. Actually, I didn't really look at her outfit. I was so stunned by the weirdness. I'm really taken just all the way back. Right. To the feelings of like what I felt like to have Megan Markle as a member of the royal family. And you know, it's entirely possible.
Starting point is 00:32:34 that they like went out to lunch people heard and then like started lining up let me just say let's say that they went out to lunch people heard and by the time they got out 30 a m you maybe they went out for breakfast them like going and doing the walkabouts with their two assistants behind them and that's exactly how it is with the royals you accept the flowers and then you give the flowers to the assistants like you could have if all these people just happened to have showed up
Starting point is 00:32:54 at your breakfast you wave you had maybe you signed an autograph about barricades where they come from yeah right to do like the whole song and dance she wore maroon for the outing and yeah they do it separately they do it together like it's really cosplaying royals but you are former royals yeah
Starting point is 00:33:08 so they went to a food bank They're going there today. They're doing like a whole... They're doing a tour. Like, it's so weird. They have a day of activities planned. So I'm sure we'll see like more photos in PR. I can't wait, honestly.
Starting point is 00:33:26 If like, you know, picture says a thousand words. Like I could stare at this picture of them. First of all, it is nice that people showed up because as far as like, I get the vibe that people in the UK, like Americans obviously are over them. But I thought it was way worse for them in the UK. I think it is. But I'm sure you can find 100 people who would show up to get photographed. And you can pay people.
Starting point is 00:33:44 Like, people get paid to show. I don't think that they paid, but I agree. No, but you can pay people to show up to protests. Yeah, you know, I used to work somewhere, but they would literally pay people to, like, show up. Show up to be audience members, seat fillers. One of my jobs was like, you know, it was like a hugely famous people come and they still,
Starting point is 00:33:59 like they had seat fillers. Yeah. I paid $20. Where do they even advertise that this walkabout is going down? I don't know. How did these people know about it? No, I'm telling you. Something's a mess.
Starting point is 00:34:09 Something. Someone. Are you ready for our next story? Mm-hmm. Scooter Braun and Tadrick Hall are joining forces to produce a star-studded off-Broadway musical called Midnight. What? What? Midnight?
Starting point is 00:34:22 It's called Midnight? Scooter Braun and Tadrick are making magic together on the New York theater scene. So the mogul and the entertainer have joined forces on a new off-Broadway musical called Midnight, which has been attracting celebrity supporters and drawing enthusiastic reactions from audience. Why? What's so great about the play? Like, why do people care? Um, that's a great question. I don't know about the play.
Starting point is 00:34:43 but he is a producer alongside Todrick who wrote, directed choreographed and stars in the production. So it's a Todrick production. And like obviously like off-Broadway shows don't really make the Fast Five, but this is an extremely interesting pairing. Of course, because Tadrick is a former close friend of Taylor Swift. Closest. It's been apparent for a few years now that they're not friends anymore. He like likes some shady stuff. And also the only content he has to post like in support of her is old photos.
Starting point is 00:35:13 no new photos. There's no new adding. It ends at the you need to calm down era. Yes. And then also I remember when Taylor and Scooter, Taylor v. Scooter was going down. Todrick piped in calling Scooter greedy. Yes, of course. And I just thought that was so, I didn't like it at the time. The use of the word greedy. I just didn't like Todrick's presence at all. Yeah. And the fact that now. Well, he was always like a controversial friend of Taylor's because he and his own right has like a lot of sort of controversy surrounding him about like how he works and how he acts. Like what? Like toxic workplace, stealing ideas.
Starting point is 00:35:49 Big, like, hugely. You couldn't take two steps without seeing Tadritch. The Virgin Airlines. Jackie, the music videos he used to do with like the nine boxes. Yeah, it was a time. And it's been abundantly clear for a while that they are not friends and borderline enemies. He was like such a trusted confidant. Like imagine fumbling that.
Starting point is 00:36:08 And he used to be a client of hers, of his, of scooters. Tadrick was a client of Scooters. He tweeted in 2019, for those asking, I left Scooter Braun a long time ago. I'm saddened by this news, but not shocked. I think that's about the Masters thing. He's an evil person whose only concern is his wealth and feeding his disgusting ego.
Starting point is 00:36:25 I believe he is homophobic. And I know from his own mouth that he is not a Swift fan. Oh my. So for them to be in business together now is crazy. For Tazer- I could never, I don't even care what the business is. I could never go into business with somebody who said that about me. Of course.
Starting point is 00:36:40 And no, it's like, I don't know what Scooter's motivation are especially because like an off-broadway play like you're a billionaire did you forget waste of time but for todrick it's like wait you think this is an evil homophobic individual and so either it was not true when you said it because now you're working with him or you are so unscribbled or you're so unscru-billed you're just brushing that aside because you need that billionaire money for your off-r-r-bred-by play right so strange loser sneeze yeah agreed Tadrick like the fumble of the century nobody was more like relevant in culture and up Taylor Swift's ass.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Like she was obsessed with him. Yeah. I wonder what happened. Something happened. And then he like switches sides to her op and now is publicly. And I just want to say that's the worst type of person in the world. I think that's such loser behavior like on all count.
Starting point is 00:37:26 And I understand why it's attractive to like, you know, go with your enemy's enemy. But like everyone, you know what I was thinking about the other day, like when we learned in Earl Meets World that Alex Cooper had called Zandra. And instead of like Zandra, who probably like has lots of anger towards Alex Earl for a multitude of reasons, instead of like, you know, engaging in that, she told. Alex, like such a stand-up gal thing to do. It's very tempting to want to work with your enemy's enemy. Like, yes, but honestly, it makes you look like such a loser.
Starting point is 00:37:53 It really does. Yeah, especially when they were your own enemy to begin. So unscrupled, yeah. I'm trying to understand. I feel like, Sandra, like, doesn't get enough credit for that, don't you feel? Yeah. I just keep bringing it up, like good for her. Yeah, please do.
Starting point is 00:38:05 Leah Michelle saw the show. She said, I've been forever changed. My heart and soul has been ripped open. I've never cried so much in a show. I've never been so moved. in a show if you are in New York uh oh no that was an american idol finalist who said that but lea michelle did go to the show oh my and said that and she said this is the most extraordinary show i've ever seen i cried the entire show it was so beautiful please run to see the show this is
Starting point is 00:38:27 amazing it's extraordinary it's beautiful what leah girl i'm not buying it no but i am because then someone else said the same thing what's the show about no idea I don't really like off-Broadway. I saw one show off-bred-A. It was good. It's probably like super musical because Tadrick is talented. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:51 And then Scooter has been like showing support for the show on social media. Like what's going on? What is going on? I haven't heard the name Tadric in years. Like for real. Yeah. Those YouTube videos like when he would release them, time stopped. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:09 And then he was Taylor's best friend. And like, it was probably so much fun being Todrick during those, like, five years. But how did Todrick fuck it all up? I don't know. Genuinely can never be me. Never. So anyways, I just think this is strange. Of course it is.
Starting point is 00:39:22 An unlikely duo. And, like, not cool of Tadric. No. Not cool. And, yeah, I would love, like, what is Scoor's motivation with this off-broadway show? That sounds incredible. That sounds life-changing. Like, you know, sometimes when you're so wealthy and you have, like, lots of different companies under your company, like, maybe one of his company's
Starting point is 00:39:40 subsidiaries does off-broadway production, you know? This is the poster. Oh, his name is right there. It's not like Scooter Braun. SB projects. It's Scott Scooter Braun. Interesting. But he's one, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
Starting point is 00:39:55 The eighth name down. Is it alphabetical or anything? No. Just interesting. Mm-hmm. You know Taylor's like throwing darts at her dartboard. I actually think she doesn't care about Tadrick anymore. Like that's not someone she has like a dartboard for it.
Starting point is 00:40:12 Definitely Scooter. I just can't believe Toddrick treated that, tweeted that about Scooter. And now he's working with him. Imagine looking in the eyes of the person you treated that about. And imagine someone tweeting that about you. Oh my God, I know.
Starting point is 00:40:23 Work with them. This is where, like, Hollywood people are so unrelatable. The school is very, like. Unaffected. No, and I feel like he's very, like, enlightened and just, like, forgiving. You know what I mean? He, like, talks on on podcasts and stuff,
Starting point is 00:40:35 and I just feel like he's like. He's giving, like, healed. He's giving healed. He's, like, floating above. Once again, can never be me. He's like the happiest man on the planet right now. I mean, when Sidney is like literally in love with you and she wants to change her religion to be with you, like, yeah, I think a lot of guys would be healed. Okay, Todrick.
Starting point is 00:40:52 Yeah, right. Here's your little, here's a check for your little play. Are you ready for our next story? Some more news from Citizen Kim. Oh. Keeping up with the Kardashian producers say that they edited out a 30-minute battle of Kanye West ripping into the Kardashian family in 2020. So in the forthcoming biography, Citizen Kim, the writer pulls back the curtain on Kim and Kanye's divorce. When they took about the editors of the Kardashians, like, that's the girls, I just want to say.
Starting point is 00:41:21 Yes. Well, so they filmed this and it did not air. In October 2020, the entire family came together to celebrate Caitlin's birthday. After an already turbulent several months during which Kanye launched an unsuccessful presidential campaign. My God, I forgot about that. And subsequently accused Kim as well as Chris of trying to lock him up. So the producer, and this is Farnaz Farajam, who's been on producer on keeping up forever.
Starting point is 00:41:47 Kanye came to Caitlin's house with Kim, and he just started ripping into the Chris and the family and questioning them about not voting for him. Oh my God, that's funny. He just made it all about himself. That whole 30-minute battle was very telling, but we had to edit it out. By the time the episode ultimately aired in June 2021,
Starting point is 00:42:04 Kim had already filed for divorce. Viewers got to see the fallout from the tirade, so there's a scene of Kim crying to her sisters, where she says, I just honestly can't do this anymore. I feel like a fucking failure. And it's like a third fucking marriage. Yeah, I feel like a fucking loser. So that conversation followed him yelling at everyone.
Starting point is 00:42:20 Right, right, right. I mean, we know for actually for many years, they did protect Kanye. I feel like they don't really anymore. And he has calmed down. So the fact that this didn't get aired like does make sense. There also was, I don't know where it's from. I feel like Kanye also films his whole life. And I think he released this.
Starting point is 00:42:38 There's like two scenes of like him yelling at Chris. saying that he wasn't like this before he met them and like he blames them for everything and then the scene of Kanye yelling at Kim and they're like in the studio and she's like you weren't always like this and it's like the only time we've ever seen him like really be crazy and I feel like it's footage he released
Starting point is 00:42:55 they really did go out of their way to protect him for as long as they could. Yeah. Which I guess is admirable when that's like the father of your children but once again like seriously could never be me. Yeah but there are just some things even if it makes them look like there are just some things you don't show like and of course especially with like with a mentally ill
Starting point is 00:43:10 But that's real dirty family laundry. And I think a lot of people just would not respect airing that. And I also think that a long time ago they decided like this show was not going to be like this transparent on. Like it's just a show. Yeah. And they do like they show the slap. They show fights. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:28 They go there. The ugliest moments. No. And you shouldn't. Agreed. Agreed. You shouldn't. And you won't curry favor with viewers.
Starting point is 00:43:35 It's like Megan and Harry. They showed the ugliest things. They told the nastiest stories. They bared too much. And people didn't like it. Well, at the time they did. No, no, no, no. But I think the book was like, first, when they were starting to tell these stories,
Starting point is 00:43:48 some people were like, hey, you know, that's too much. Yeah, but for the most part, like people were really like. Living for it. Yeah. To a point. And then I think with the book, that was really when the tide started to turn because they were just telling all these unnecessary stories that are, of course, from one person's point of view.
Starting point is 00:44:01 And we see how things can really be skewed when someone tells their side from their perspective and their thoughts. With their sland. Yeah. And people don't want to see. that. Yeah, I think it, because it makes you look like a bad person. I think for some people, yes, I'm the type of person where it's like, if you tell me this crazy story, yeah, I'll be like goopton gag, but I will also be like, why are you telling me this? Yeah. I think a lot of people just
Starting point is 00:44:25 enjoy the stories and like maybe don't. And I don't think, I don't know what it was about Megan and Harry. Like truly, I don't know what flipped the switch. It was literally the Netflix show, which is insane because it was the least offensive thing they did since they left. Oh, that was like compounded. That was when she went into the Netflix show like Tides had started to turn. But what do you think it was? For me, I remember it feeling like the book and the audio clips and the frozen penis and um spare you're talking. Yeah, spare. That was when people I feel like had had enough and the Oprah interview, the Netflix docu series that they did. People loved the Oprah interview. People loved the docu series. People were still like T-T. A couple of you got viewers were like, hey. This is just like a really
Starting point is 00:45:07 intimate detail. And this is very slanted. Yeah. You know, and you're telling me to talk about a family that you know is never going to respond. They don't do this. You're telling me a situation and you're casting like your assumptions onto those people. But what if they didn't, what if they weren't ill-intended? Like what you're not giving anyone the benefit of the doubt. And I think like with spare, this whole long book, they've been peddling the story for years now. Yeah. I think that's when people started to feel more comfortable expressing. He still owes his publisher two books, right? It was three book deal. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:45:40 Maybe that's why they fled. They're going to make drama so they have more stuff to write about. Maybe that's why they fled the country. Right. Do they have extradition? Anyways, count me in for reading Citizen Kim. And kind of obsessed with this whole Kanye argument happening at Caitlin's house. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:57 Like I'm really glad for Caitlin to be included. Yeah. Also, the person who's writing the book is someone who profiled Kim for Vogue in 2019. And I guess they hit it off. Hit it off and she liked him and was like, okay, you could do it. But I do look forward to hearing more about that process on Kardashians this season. I'm behind on Kardashians because the second episode came out, right? But it didn't come out.
Starting point is 00:46:18 It comes out like tonight. You know, that's when the first opportunity we have to actually watch it. I can't stand that. Our fifth and final story, some more book news. In this day and age, you buy a sweater. You literally cannot wash it and you cannot wear it more than once. Quinn's items are meant to live with you, to grow with you, to age with you. So they're obsessed with materials, which I think, like, a lot of people are very conscious about what's in their clothes. They don't want to be wearing clothes made of plastic. That really happened for me when I was, like, buying baby clothes looking for like organic cotton, 100% organic cotton.
Starting point is 00:47:17 So hard to find. Quince, by the way, baby stuff is amazing from Quince. They make everything home, kitchen, luggage, bags, denim, jewelry. Oh, please, yeah. That's taking place throughout the course of the show. She said, she's on calls. I said, I need you to fact check for me. She said, text me. I said, do you have any memory of daddy ever watching dancing with the stars?
Starting point is 00:52:07 She said, wait, kind of. She wants to make it work for you. That's my agreeable queen. I said, dig deeper. What do you remember? We used to go to like a hypnotic therapist, like literally, dangle a necklace in front of you. She said, in the den.
Starting point is 00:52:19 So, right, we're. Are you in different rooms? We're in different rooms. Where were you upstairs? Okay. I said, do you remember anything? else. She said, not really. I can just visualize him watching it in the den, but I have no specific memories about it. I said, any cast members? She said, like, maybe an athlete, I think. Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:34 Like a football player. Maybe ask Margo. Like, who? Margo was five. And who'd you say? She's typing. But I am going to Kim's season. And let's see if that athlete. I don't think she would know him by name because there's an NFL player who made it to the top two. Ocho Cinco? Warren Sapp. She wouldn't know that. But maybe that's who he was rooting for. Unless Warren Sapp, like, played on the Jets, you tell me because like I don't think daddy was like really huge into football he just really like the Jets like okay he played for the Buccaneers yeah really just the Buccaneers it's not fair now because after I said that I googled the early cast and now I can tell you I can like visualize him watching Emmett Smith and I also remember
Starting point is 00:53:18 Apollo Ono so those are different seasons maybe he was like really obsessive that he watched it over yeah I just remember the last day he watched it I feel like I remember Did trauma respond? No, I feel like I remember him pointing out to me Like your girl Kim And she got eliminated It was like a point of like
Starting point is 00:53:34 Yeah, because we liked Kardashian And I feel like that's why I remember That day she got eliminated Because he's trying to tell me like Your girl, she sucks Got eliminated I think I really am remembering correctly I'm so-
Starting point is 00:53:46 I don't doubt honestly September 30th Claudia The timing is chilling And you would remember like the last thing he watched And I would have gone to the house For Rocha Shana Yeah, definitely Like I would have been in the house that day.
Starting point is 00:53:57 Like, how do we find out where we were for Rush Ashosh Hashanah 2008? We probably could. I just feel like we weren't there. I don't know why. Where did we spend Russia Shana 2008? Where did we spend first night? Oh, you're calling her. I'm trying again.
Starting point is 00:54:11 I know she's on calls. I just feel like I could have seen us being in Florida like with our cousins. No, no, no. We were definitely in New York because we didn't. We had school. We were definitely in New York in the days leading up. We didn't have a tan at the funeral. No, that's true.
Starting point is 00:54:22 We were very ghostly at the funeral. We did not have a tan at the funeral. So if you're worried about it being flawed, the only other place we could have been is in the city. You know, like, we were children of divorce. We had to split. Hi, okay, you're live on the show. I really need your help because you're not, like,
Starting point is 00:54:38 what you said is. You're not helping. But it doesn't corroborate my story. Do you have any recollection of where we spent Roche-Shanah the year that Daddy died? So it was like a couple days before in 2008, like the days leading up. Like, where did we have Rocha Shana? She's on.
Starting point is 00:54:57 Who on speech? a millionaire. Literally phone a friend. Well, tell how to get to work. Like, go investigate. Find a way to find out where we had Rosh Hashanah in 2008. That's your homework for tonight. That she can do. Okay, thank you so much. We love you. Check phone records. Check, you know. Phone records. Just check. I don't know. Photos.
Starting point is 00:55:14 Call Verizon. Like, she can do it. She's the FBI. Okay. Our fifth and final story, which was some more book knows, is Jesse Draper has announced that she is writing a memoir. Yes. This is our third memoir from the real secret lives of Mormon wives. We had Macy, now Lela Man of the House. And now Jesse Draper cutting ties. It's a good name, by the way. Very good.
Starting point is 00:55:34 I am very interested in her pre-Secret Lives life. Like, I think she had like a very, like, sorry, her in Jordan. No, she also had another marriage before Jordan. Yeah. She built up Jay Z. Stiles before she was on the show. I think there are a couple years of interest there. Yes. And like she gets, like, I don't know if I was like seeing a snarky TikTok, but I think that
Starting point is 00:55:52 there was drama with her first husband because she got pregnant. And then the streets were saying that. baby was actually Jordans, which worked out because she ended up marrying Jordan. So, like, I don't know. They were, like, questioning the paternity of her children, which, like, if that's, like, tea-filled good for a memoir, I would love to know. Yeah, I think this sounds really good. I think she's also, I don't know if she's, like, a couple years older than the rest of the
Starting point is 00:56:11 cast, but, like, something, like, I think she just has more life lived. Yeah. And stories to tell, especially pre-Slamu, you know? I don't, like, we've seen what's happened since she's been on the show. There seem to be a few key years. Yeah, that we never got clarity on. on the show. She had a first husband and it didn't end well and then how did
Starting point is 00:56:31 she end up with Jordan and she built she was already rich like yeah I'm sad. That's where I think a lot of like the animosity and like the jealousy from the other women and men in the show is that like she doesn't need the show. Her business is extremely successful and she was she had a nice house like when on season one episode one nobody else did. Yeah but it's like the you think
Starting point is 00:56:49 she doesn't need the show but she's actually the only one who fucking behaves on the show like you know and like narrates and is patient and she shows up to everything. You know what I mean? it's actually, she just has a really good work ethic. Yeah, right. She's a professional. Maybe because she has a business, she's just professional.
Starting point is 00:57:04 Even when she came here, she's professional. Yeah, cutting ties is a good name too. It is really great job. It passes the toast memoir board of approval. It does. It will come out next summer. So, a swirley memoir update. Let's dive into Deer Toasters, our weekly advice segment where every Thursday,
Starting point is 00:57:18 you guys can write into us. You ever wanted to find out what we thought of your situation? Well, you have a chance now. Every Thursday, Deertasters at gmail.com. That's the email you can write to or head over to our website. website thetoastpodcast.com. There's a submission box when you scroll down. Totally anonymous either way.
Starting point is 00:57:31 Don't worry. Hey, Jackson Claude. Love you girls so much. Is my husband gay? A little over a year ago, the company my husband works for hired someone to split the workload because his company has grown so much. They were, of course.
Starting point is 00:57:42 Too gay? To do good job. They were, of course, just work colleagues. They then eventually realized how much they both enjoy football and playing fantasy football. And last fall, they spent every single day that a game was on watching it in my husband's man cave. I didn't think much of it last year, but something seems different. this time. During Monday night football, I went downstairs to see if they wanted any dessert that I made,
Starting point is 00:58:01 Queen, and the door was locked. I was really confused and I knocked, but the door was never opened. The next day I mentioned it and he shrugged it off by saying it was a huge game between the bills and whoever they were running and they didn't want to be interrupted and couldn't possibly hear me knocking because the game was so loud. They text each other constantly, speak on the phone every night and obviously see each other at work. What do I do? Ask him, I really need your gay husband expertise. Put a camera in there. Well, I just want to say, I don't know, like, a lot of people personally. I don't have a lot of experience with, like, somebody who turned out to be gay, but, like,
Starting point is 00:58:32 I feel like they wouldn't be doing it, like, in such plain sight. You know what I mean? Like, coming over to my house, like, where my wife is and, like, texting and FaceTiming every night. Like, it's not like he's calling in secret because you know about it. So the locking of the door is extremely suspicious. Like, doors don't need to be locked, really ever. No, put a camera in there and let's get to the bottom of it.
Starting point is 00:58:51 Yeah, you do need to know. For one game, just watch how they behave for one game and then take it out and you'll know. I think that a personal audit would also be appropriate here. Like, is your husband gay? They also might have been doing drugs. And if you have kids, they might have locked the door for that. Like, they might have been smoking pot. That, well, you would have smelled the pot.
Starting point is 00:59:11 But having edibles. That is a really good point. Like, what else could they have been doing that they would need the door lock? Yeah. And I'm assuming that they have kids. Or no, maybe he's like doing the drugs in secret. it's like you don't want just a child like stumbling into the room of course that's really interesting what did you make for dessert i'm just curious sounds good but like you also there are other reasons besides
Starting point is 00:59:31 like locking the door like does your husband is he sexually active like there are things that you could probably surmise have you ever thought your husband was gay before this one baby monitor for one game and we'll have all the answers we need yeah but also like is this the first time you've ever thought your husband was gay. Yeah. Like for the most part like gayness is not just like a blimp on the radar. It could be a latent life. He could or like you know very Taylor Stracker like it's just it's not about the sexuality. It's not the person where it's like he happens to have met his person at work. Sorry lady. They like hired another him. Mm-hmm. Little did they know. Match. Yeah. Nanit, personal audit. Just one game. Keep an eye. That's fine. You got to know these things of course.
Starting point is 01:00:13 Yeah. Safe sex. Like you just got to know. Next up. Hey, Swirleys. I need your help. I just started seeing a new therapist and after my first session, I found out that we have some mutual friends and we're invited to the same birthday party for a close friend. And at first session, I was really vulnerable. I shared a lot and I felt a really good connection with her. I think she's so great and I really don't want to start over and try to find someone new, but I also can't get over how awkward this is. Help. You have to go. Like, yeah, that's not an option. I wouldn't be worried that like anything you shared with her is like now compromised just because you know the same people. Like, then you can trust that like the one session you guys did, like we'll
Starting point is 01:00:44 stay with her forever. Like, don't worry. But how do you feel about having a therapist your own age. I think some people like it. Some people don't. I wouldn't. Not that I have like extensive therapy back, like experience, but I imagine I would look for someone who's like wiser and older who has like lived and um. But I guess some people want some people who are like late or like wouldn't judge. Like if you're like, you know, having threesomes or whatever. Like I can imagine it's attractive to some people. Um, you obviously cannot continue with the therapist. Like that's just wrong and weird. I think she should and probably would recuse herself. Does she know you're going to same birthday? party? Yeah. No, if they discovered they had mutual friends, then that was a two-way discovery.
Starting point is 01:01:23 She said, I found out that we have mutual friends. I don't know if the lady knows yet. Oh. So maybe just let her find out and she'll take care of it for you. Because she could pass over your file. You don't go through it all again. It's also just one session. Yeah. I think like the first session of therapy, it's like a huge dump. You just going to have to do it again. Absolutely not. And they hear like so much stuff. Your stuff was probably not even that crazy. I know. It's like everybody thinks their story is so interesting, but like you don't know the guy next door. Like you're fine. You're too. You're totally fine, but absolutely not.
Starting point is 01:01:49 Like, in no world is this okay. Yeah. All right, third and final. Hey, Swirley. She sounds like she could be a good friend for you. Yes. You're at the same age. You go to the same parties.
Starting point is 01:01:56 Like, maybe she could just be your friend like for free. Yeah, maybe that's why you connected. Like, because she's a friend. A thousand percent. A thousand percent. Who needs therapy when you got great friends? Good friends. I love that.
Starting point is 01:02:11 Hey, Swirleys. I've stumbled upon a really interesting situation. I was listening a piece of furniture for sale on Facebook Marketplace. And I noticed one of my. neighbors recently posted something for sale as well. I clicked on the listing because I'm nosy and I then clicked on the seller profile to see what else they have for sale. I noticed that all of their listed items are pieces of furniture from our neighborhood clubhouse. The listing photos were literally taken inside the clubhouse. I find this so bizarre. This
Starting point is 01:02:35 individual was previously on the HOA board. Last year he posted in the neighborhood group telling everyone that the HOA did not have enough funds for Christmas lights and asked for donations to be Venmoed to his personal Venmo to pay for the lights. Obviously, people were like, what the fuck. Did the lights go up? People were like, what the fuck? And the post was removed after a day, never to be talked about again. So I'm assuming no.
Starting point is 01:02:54 They magically found the funds for the Christmas lights. So here's my question. Should I do or say something? I thought about casually liking one of the listings so that he can see that somebody saw it or even messaging and being like, L.O.L. Are we selling the clubhouse furniture and make a joke of it? Do I go full Karen? Email the management company on board.
Starting point is 01:03:08 I'm not one to typically get involved. I like to watch a drama from a distance, but this seems really fucking weird. What should I do? So I think that there's a, world in which this is totally normal. Like if he is head of the HOA and say they're revamping the clubhouse. Perhaps the HOA is selling the furniture.
Starting point is 01:03:20 Somebody has to use their Facebook profile to sell the furniture. This could be nefarious, but this could be one of the, like, an episode of like, that's O'Raven where it's like, you know, a lot of suspicious things. And then they all are explained away.
Starting point is 01:03:30 Yeah. And like maybe he was trying to get lights for the neighborhood and used his personal vimo because... He didn't know that was like inappropriate. The HOA doesn't have a Venmo. And if he's the one doing the transaction, like he could be stealing.
Starting point is 01:03:40 Yeah, but like I would have been curious to see if the lights went up. Also, I would talk to someone else on the HOA and just be like, are we redoing the clubhouse? And then they would either be like, oh, yeah, we're getting some new furniture. Or no, what are you talking about? And you'd be like, wait, he's selling the furniture. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:53 Don't automatically assume that he's innocent because it's entirely possible that he's, yeah, it's entirely possible that this is innocent. And he's doing all this work on behalf. It's like an older gentleman using Facebook. No, and he's like using his personal time and like energy to do this stuff for the community. You sound like an ingrate. Or he's stealing selling furniture like yada, yada, yada. You don't think he's just selling off furniture and then like not going to have an explanation for it. Photographing it in the clubhouse, like,
Starting point is 01:04:17 but older people, like, they might not know. Like, yeah, they might do something that stupid, you know? Like, because you think if you're trying to be, like, clug, you would take a photo and have, like, AI, you know, put it in someone's backyard for the listing photo. But if he's an older gentleman... I think he's acting innocently. I think he is, too.
Starting point is 01:04:32 And he obviously posted that Venmo thing and then people were like, you know, you can't do this. And he just deleted it. Like, because he's, oh, my bad. My bad. Because he got in trouble because he might be in a feel bad. Meanwhile, he's just trying to beautify your neighborhood. Yeah, just ask around.
Starting point is 01:04:43 Don't like launch a formal complaint yet. Ask a round. Ask another HOA member. Like are we redoing the clubhouse? Ask a couple. See what they say. There are ways to find out about this. I think he's innocent.
Starting point is 01:04:54 You know, when he sounds like a really hardworking HOA member. I just want to say being the president of like an HOA or something like that. Fucking thankless job and you have people who just assume the worst in you. Truly thankless job.
Starting point is 01:05:03 And people, everyone ends up hating you because like nature of the job is like you have to tell people no or you have to like run a tight chip or you know, tight budgets or whatever. I would never run for one of those positions like in my building like literally never they're just going to accuse you up that they're
Starting point is 01:05:18 yeah a thousand percent and you really can't do a good job of it you know yeah you could try your hardest but like the job is good when like nobody notices you you know and then you get no things like when things are running smoothly that means you did a good job it's true nobody like goes to say hey thanks no you only ever interact with the with the h-o-a when you're getting in trouble like oh your grass needs to be cut or your bushes need to be moved or whatever like no one's having positive to the HOA. It's not like the H.A calls and says, like, your house looks great, you know? It's always like when you're in trouble or like you're getting a fine for something, right? Like, it's a thankless job and I just feel like you might be seeing the worst in him or he's a total thief.
Starting point is 01:05:57 Acting in plain sight. I don't think so. But you're going to find out. Let us know. Yeah, just start, start seeking around, but don't get like a reputation for being like an ungrateful homeowner. Nobody wants to be that. Mm-hmm. We'll put a lien on your house. 1,000%.
Starting point is 01:06:12 And then, like, once the H. months ahead of the HOA, like, is your op? Has designated you. He can and will, like, make your life hell. A lot of times, you know, they look the other way, or it's not such a big deal. No, he'll be sending you notices because you're the girl who tried to get him fired and arrested. Like, or he's a thief and a criminal. We're not sure.
Starting point is 01:06:31 I don't think so. I would give him the benefit of the doubt, too. Yeah. Well, that's your toaster. Thank you to everybody who wrote in and thank you to the DTQ for your patience. And thank you to everybody for listening. So, it felt really cut and dry. like I feel that about those.
Starting point is 01:06:44 It's nice. Sometimes we're like really put in the middle of like a moral dilemma and sometimes like it's just right from wrong. The man cave gay. Second one? Therapist. Cut and dry.
Starting point is 01:06:55 Cut and dry both of them. Thank you guys so much for listening to the last night and morning show. We deal with the fast-dice stories you need to remember Monday in YouTube. So if you're watching on YouTube, please don't forget to subscribe and give us video thumbs up.

Starting point is 01:07:10 Oh, should we do an emoji today? Oh, yeah. Let's do, like, the dancing girl. Let's do, no. Let's do the walking emoji for the walkabout. You know, and there's the one where she's, like, running. Sure. Have a great day, guys.
Starting point is 01:07:28 Love you. Bye.
