Starting point is 00:00:09 It's Jackson, Claude and neighbor show the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off, swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Thursday. Hope everybody's having a great day thus far. What's new with everyone else? Happy Thursday, Secrets Out. Secrets out. I guess $50 is an amazing price for a pedicure.
Starting point is 00:00:36 The Toast Secrets Revealed. Finally. Hey, Codriel, how you doing? Oh, I'm doing good, just eating for two, which I usually am, but I actually have a reason this time. Hi, Pregreel. Yeah, Pregreel yesterday, in case you missed, big announcement. Everyone's talking about it, the Patreon is lit up. Not only am I pregnant, we did a gender reveal on the Patreon.
Starting point is 00:01:01 Secrets out. And first time, Mr. Blog. First time, Mr. Blog. Gender reveal, all on the Patreon. It's so different than the first time. Like, I feel like I'm so chill. Like literally nobody's, I literally forgot to announce for like weeks. Like I am so chill.
Starting point is 00:01:18 Nobody's ever been more chill in the whole world. It just felt like I'm just so chill, you know? I just grab a slice all the time. I grabbed three slices on three separate occasions yesterday. Oh, wow. Yeah, it just sort of happened. Let me walk you through the details. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:33 I had a doctor's appointment. And I had a big scan. So I needed to eat first because I remember last time, if I didn't eat laying there. and if you don't eat, the baby doesn't move. So whatever, there's a fabulous pizza place near Dr. Fox's office. I was more than happy to grab a slice.
Starting point is 00:01:48 That was like, you know, maybe 12 o'clock. Later on in the day, Ben was at the studio. He said, I'm coming home. You need anything? I said, you know what? I'll take a slice of pizza. Like he was offering. And then I went out for dinner with my friends from high school
Starting point is 00:02:02 and we ordered a pizza for the table. Of course, I was not going to have it. Grabbed a slice from the center of the table. Of the shared plate. So unbeknownst to me, like I had three separate slices of pizza yesterday, which is genuinely insane. But I'm genuinely just trying to survive out here. Understood.
Starting point is 00:02:20 So how are you feeling? Update us. Like, how does it feel to have this weight lifted off? It just feels different. Like I remember last time, like, oh my God, I could have, like, died of relief. I was so eager to tell people the second to first trimester ended. I'm like, let's get it up. This time I'm just like so chill about like other girls.
Starting point is 00:02:39 I used to drink beer. I obviously can't now. Um, not Alk though, you know. I feel good. I feel, um, I'm happy everyone knows. I feel that I can start posting on social media again. Like when you're literally living a double life, but you also have to share your life on social media.
Starting point is 00:02:54 Like I had nothing to post because all I do is sit around and eat. Yeah. It's hard. So I was like turning out content all day yesterday because like I can finally speak my truth. You could be free. I can be free to be dirty. Exactly. I forgot to tell you when I went to, um, the wedding.
Starting point is 00:03:11 where I met Alex Earle. They had like a bunch of security. There was like lots of lists. And the person checking me in was like, Mrs. Freebush, is that your name? And I was like, no. It's like, it totally went over your head. Completely over my head.
Starting point is 00:03:23 I'm like, Asre. And she was like, it's a joke. I was like, oh. Love that. Yeah, I forgot to tell you that. No, I feel great. Doctor's appointment went great yesterday, which is why I was like, you know,
Starting point is 00:03:35 let's just do the damn thing. Yeah. And I feel great. I feel happy. I feel excited. Butterflies in my stomach and vagina. Is that a saying? Yeah, it's a Cardi B audio sound.
Starting point is 00:03:47 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel nervous. I feel excited. Butterflies in my stomach and vagina. And like I knew, I don't know what she was being asked, but I feel like she had just announced her pregnancy. Like. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Well, we're happy that you're free to share. And we're so excited. We couldn't be more excited. I actually am so excited. I said this on the Patreon. So I don't want to like repeat too much of what I said because if you watch a vlog, like, you don't need to hear it twice
Starting point is 00:04:11 but I think I'm more excited like to have a baby this time because last time like it's also mysterious like you don't know what it's like to have a baby now I know what it's like and I love that shit so it's like I'm almost like
Starting point is 00:04:24 I'm so fucking eager I'm like let's go yeah I want it now yeah that makes sense it's like it's exciting and you're prepared it's like a test you're gonna ace oh and let me tell you bark my last words I'll have like crazy postpartum depression but like I'm gonna kill it
Starting point is 00:04:38 I'm going to kill it. Like, I'm so lit up for this. Like, let's go. Yeah. We'll see. We'll see. TVD. Well, I'm excited.
Starting point is 00:04:48 We can now seek our truths, you know? There were a couple of funny comments of, like, tells. Well, what's funny is, like, I always think that, like, I say something that gave it away. And it's, like, the things that people pick up on, I didn't even know what your eyes are talking about. You know what I mean? It's like, I'm like, Jackie, should we cut that out? And the things that people were like, I had a feeling when you did X, XYZ. I'm like, oh, really?
Starting point is 00:05:08 I feel like that's so me just to like do. No, some things people said like, oh, when you did this. I'm like, no, no, no, I did that too. And actually people were like, oh, when you did this, I'm like, I wasn't even pregnant then. This summer I was experiencing a Munchausen's pregnancy, spending so much time with you. This summer was fucking horrible.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Like, seriously, that's studio. I can never go back there. There was nothing wrong with it. But like who I was, I was in such a bad spot. I was in such a fucking bad spot. As Jackie, like a genuinely miserable person. Like, first trimester diarrhea, that's new. Like, oh my God, I was not.
Starting point is 00:05:38 fucking okay running to the bathroom in the middle of every episode genuinely horrible but i will say like people have been guessing that i'm pregnant since like november and right one day you're bound to be right hopefully yeah right so it's like people always like well you said this on the podcast i'm like okay but i wasn't pregnant then so yeah okay i just talk like all the time but of course the breakfast potatoes come to mind like i said i was fighting for my goddamn life this summer the breakfast potatoes are totally a tell and you know what maybe at one point i would be like let's cut it out the way gave not one fuck. Like people not knowing or being on to me was so not.
Starting point is 00:06:14 I was just trying to make it to the end of the day. Right. Right. So the comments were cracking me up. And then of course the not harping on the fast this year. And I just thought like maybe people would think I was like evolved. I literally forgot to recap it. I was like, just a regular day.
Starting point is 00:06:30 Although obviously I did not fast. I want everyone to know that. But I did take it light, you know? I only had like a couple of things throughout the day, two bagels. Yeah, you weren't like gluttonous. No, I didn't want to be gluttonous and like eat in Ben's face, which is so rude. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:44 However, I did end up like giving myself a headache because I was like trying to be like so pious. Like I didn't eat enough, you know? And then I got a head. So I basically, I did fast essentially. Yeah. For like a pregnant person. I was like in the bathroom chugging Pellegrino.
Starting point is 00:06:57 I felt so bad doing it in front of Ben. But like I was so thirsty. Oh my God. It's fine. Now I'm running on three years in a row not having to fast. And like that's why you have children. Why didn't you fast last year? I was breastfeeding.
Starting point is 00:07:09 Okay. And like the Remittson said, you know, you should try, and I did. And the year before? I was pregnant. One day. Slema. Slema. I got to keep timing up these pregnancies.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Yeah. With Yom Kipport. With the Jewish New Year. Mm-hmm. Oh, it feels good. Yeah, I'm pregnant. Like literally, oh, and I did a gender reveal on the podcast, but I'll say here happily. We're having a boy, which is so fucking crazy.
Starting point is 00:07:37 That's our second and fifth boy collectively, you and I, and within our family, it's our seventh. So we're holding out. Crazy. One girl, and everybody thought I was going to be having a girl. Not me. Not me either. Everybody, and nobody had any, like, good reasons other than the fact that we feel like we're owed a girl, you know?
Starting point is 00:07:56 Like, it's about time. Everybody's like, it's obviously a girl. But why? Well, no, I was monitoring the turd closely all summer. deeply, deeply unwell. But your symptoms were consistent with a boy pregnancy. Yeah. I don't remember genuinely having such.
Starting point is 00:08:15 I remember when you were pregnant, you would say this that like, you really forget how hard it is. And it's like, I remember the first time I was like, I will not forget this feeling. I will not forget how miserable I was. I felt like the first time, the first trimester, like I was like, was like, was it like this last time? I have no recollection of what happened to me in my first pregnancy during the the first trimester, but I could tell you, I feel that this one was 50 times worse.
Starting point is 00:08:40 And then everything is made harder by already having a child. Oh, I don't even want to talk about like being a deadbeat mom. No, but you just can't lay around all day and you have responsibilities and you have to get up. And so that makes it harder. Atrocious. But I also feel that things are going by way faster because I have, you know, a preexisting family. Like, I can't lay around all day. And like, while it's amazing to lay around all day when you're tired and pregnant, it is so boring. It also sometimes does not make you feel better. It makes you feel worse. No, it just moves at a snail's pace. Your life is so boring because, like, you know, your new mama life hasn't started, but you can't participate in your old swirly life. So you're just sort of like laying around watching TV waiting. I feel that this pregnancy has already flown by much faster than the previous one. And I think it's because it's my second. Like I have life to live. Your things going on. Correct. I can't just sit around. And trust me, it's all I want to do. And, and,
Starting point is 00:09:34 And I just want to be completely honest, I sit around a lot. Like I, I sit around a lot. But even the days of summer where we like tried to get after and like we went outside and like, horrible. No, you felt good those days. Like I'm going to the beach. It's true. It's true. You do feel better when you go out.
Starting point is 00:09:49 But like, it's just hard to do it. And I have like such a flexible job. I'm so grateful. And I have so much help and support. Like, oh my God. It is a nightmare. Like that first trimester, I understand God in his infinite wisdom. Like he has a reason for.
Starting point is 00:10:04 everything. It seems so unnecessarily cruel. Like it really does. Yeah. And then there are some jobs that I'm like, how can you do this? A thousand percent. Or in your first trimester second or third. Like honestly being a traffic cop. I never thought about
Starting point is 00:10:20 the pregnant traffic cops. The first trimester moms who are traffic cops. Like standing all day. No, it's sick. Like the fumes. The fumes. People are so rude to you. So dismissive. Honky at you. They can't be good for the baby. No. Totally.
Starting point is 00:10:36 They need 10 months maternity leave. So when I think about how much I complained and how much of a position of privilege I'm in, I really shouldn't complain, but I will. And you guys know I have this philosophy about like posting on social media and talking publicly about like parenthood and I really try to keep it positive.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Like I don't really believe in being like a fibisina mother on the internet. People do that. Good for you. I don't like to do that. When it comes to pregnancy, I have complete opposite energy. I'm so negative.
Starting point is 00:11:00 I'm so toxic. I complain all the time. Of course we lead with gratitude, of course. but so just like don't don't expect that same sort of like positive turdy to come through just want to like level set with everyone shucks well also I haven't been with you since you've entered your second trimester like are you feeling better it's how's your day to day I'm going to be with you soon so I'll know but like so much better so much better and like I don't want to complain because it's nothing compared to the first trimester but
Starting point is 00:11:32 like if I wanted to complain, I could at how motherfucking tired I am. I sleep about 10 to 11 hours at night and I still take a two hour nap during the day and it's not enough. Like I don't know when sleep, like what amount of sleep will make me feel rested. I also in both my pregnancies have a major aversion to coffee, which is so inconvenient. On days like over the summer when I was feeling really, really sick, bed and I had like an all-day photo shoot. Oh, I'm so miserable.
Starting point is 00:12:01 And I had a call. that day and like it makes such a difference. I can't get it down. Like even still. I need like an IV. I need it intravenously. You need a matcha. I haven't cut out soda like at all. And my first pregnancy I was so good about it. I had like, except towards the end. I was like, all right, fuck it. But I was like two or three a week. Oh bitch. I'm having two or three a day. It's my only source of caffeine in my first trimester. It was the only thing that brought me even an ounce of relief. Like the burps heavenly. Like I want to write like a letter to the president of Pepsi Cola. Like, Thank you.
Starting point is 00:12:33 It was the only thing that helped. And I'm a lot more laid back this time, you know? Good. Like, no, no, in terms of like rules and regulations. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, like I'm taking my, I was also taking baths the first trimester, but I had this,
Starting point is 00:12:48 like, thermometer. Same. Baby, there is no thermometer. Like, I'm just feeling the vibes, like, based on how I feel. I used to have a thermometer in my first pregnancy. Like, that's something you do when you have nothing else going on. Yeah. No, but you can really like,
Starting point is 00:13:02 think about everything all the time and that's all you think about. Yeah. And so this time it's like, I keep getting pits. I'm like, wait, was I not supposed to do that? I also like forget the rules. I feel like a lot of the food restrictions don't apply to me. I don't really eat sushi and I don't eat lytocaine, listerine. What's it called? Listeria. Listeria for like turkey. Turkey. Turkey. Like, I could live without it. And I only turkey. I only eat turkey when I'm being really healthy. And I'm not being really healthy. And I don't really want to talk about that part. But I obviously like didn't lose a baby weight before getting my next baby, which is obviously not the way like I envision my life going. But I guess the program I'm running like wasn't too strict, you know? Like I had all
Starting point is 00:13:42 these big plans. And then when it came time, I was just like, I guess we're doing a plus size pregnancy. Like I guess we're doing a plus size pregnancy. It is what it is. And it was what it was. Like whatever. I will figure it out next time. In the end, they're all plus size pregnancies. No. And in the end, like, you're fat. Like, you know, it does feel good to like be able to like know, have people know like, yes, I'm fat, but like I'm also pregnant. And so what do you have to say about that? What can you say? Having a reason for being overweight is such a blessing, honestly.
Starting point is 00:14:14 It really is. And are you bump in? I am bumping. You know, we're hanging low. Bellies low, you know? Okay. I saw Dr. Fox yesterday. Of course, like I sit down in his office.
Starting point is 00:14:27 The funny thing is that like when I go to his appointments, I don't actually really need to see him. because I get my scan and then like the doctor in the whatever practice like reads me my results. But then they're like you can go up and see Dr. Fox. I'm like, okay, great. Like we don't literally do anything in there except talk. And I was like, so what do you think about Lindsay Clancy? He had some actually really interesting because he's kind of like a perinatal, like a leading, like a thought leader in the perinatal space.
Starting point is 00:14:51 Yeah. Perinatal care. And he had a lot of thoughts. He was explaining to me like a lot about postpartum psychosis. And now he's seen it like once or twice and it is frightening. Like it's so it's very, very real. It says a lot of people with postpartum psychosis are actually nonviolent. There's a very, very small amount of people who, it's like psychotic people.
Starting point is 00:15:07 He said, like, when you see like a crazy person or whatever, they mostly like talk to themselves. They're danger to, really, they're not violent. They're not a danger to you physically. A small percentage of people in psychosis are actually dangerous and violent. And actually a lot of the circumstances. Like so he was basically corroborating that like a lot of what he heard about her in her life. Like she definitely had postpartum psychosis. I guess there are people who like doubt that she did.
Starting point is 00:15:27 And I said, can you have postpartum psychosis eight months postpartum. He was like, absolutely. Okay. So he corroborated the sort of like medical side of it. The medical aspect. Like that's very real. But he said, I can't adjudicate on whether or not like she should go to jail or whatever. Because it's like I'm not a jury member.
Starting point is 00:15:42 But he was just sort of giving the doctor's perspective. I appreciate that. Me too. Still lock her up. Lock her up. So yeah, I am pregnant. Oh, and in the vlog, I talk a lot. And we're going to do a Patreon probably next week, like a little Q&A.
Starting point is 00:15:58 So talking about like T. TTC and you know. I feel like we've had a lot of cues to A but like we really couldn't A anything until like we shared this news. Our news. We are pregnant. Try being an influencer for a day. You know like doing a podcast every single day trying to share you know oh my God so difficult. Yeah. No the first trimester is really in general like hard and isolating even if you're just like a lay person but like when your job is to share and like the biggest thing you can't. It makes it really hard. Also, I feel like we're a couple. Like, the podcast is pregnant. Yeah, absolutely. When you were pregnant, it was, I remember so funny because I've been like
Starting point is 00:16:38 very chill about this whole thing, but I remember the first time you were pregnant. You might, you might have been like 10, 11 weeks. Oh my God, it was oozing out of me. I had one drink and I told like literally everyone at Brian's house. I couldn't, like, I literally was so excited. It's just crazy how differently you experience each pregnancy. And this time, like, I remember the first time, what I really struggled with in the first trimester was like being a gossip girl. and having this huge thing that I couldn't share. Like, it was infallible to me that could be going through this huge life change
Starting point is 00:17:04 and I can't tell anyone. Like, what's the point? You know? This time I didn't feel this way, that way. This time I just felt like, how am I supposed to be a functioning member of society? Like, for real. You guys want me to, like, go out
Starting point is 00:17:13 and not punch someone in the face? Like, that's just impossible for me. It is. She's having pre-partum psychosis. The expectations were just too much. You have to go to work every day? That's insane. But she did it.
Starting point is 00:17:27 Kind of. she did it yeah there was like one day I think your birthday you were like really unwell so you so Ben filled in for you yes
Starting point is 00:17:36 yes yeah well what else can I share about me oh yeah and so obviously like Derrick Hoth Tricia Pateus's co
Starting point is 00:17:46 was like I am pregnant now do not come for me like seriously do not fucking come for me I'm off limits okay and I don't want to hear it yeah we're made what was the call from Alex Cooper
Starting point is 00:17:56 when she went on that CNBC show when that guy was asking her about the show. When she dodged the question, what did she say? She was like, she talks like this. We're in our, and she was, what did she say? I don't know. Can you pull it off? Okay, one sec.
Starting point is 00:18:16 Because that's going to be like my byline these days. Alex Cooper. You should make it an audio. CNBC, here. Like, we're in our mother era, David. Okay. I'm busy building a child. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:18:31 Oh, to, what was the interviewer's name? Aaron. Greg. Greg or Aaron? Aaron. Aaron Sorkin? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:40 We had this conversation about Aaron Sorkin. Right. I'm busy building a child, Aaron. Like, I'm busy building a child, Derek. Yeah. So, yeah. I'm officially off limits. I will be using my get out of jail free card for the remainder of this pregnancy.
Starting point is 00:18:56 I love that. You should go harder because. you're sort of like untouchable. We'll do. Even though I'm not untouchable because I, we got canceled in our last pregnancy, this like dumb ass scandal where everyone was wrong and we were right. And they're coming for Alex Cooper. So actually being, even though Alex Cooper did start that.
Starting point is 00:19:12 I hate to go like an ask, but what were we canceled for it? I'm so glad you asked. Somebody started a like an actual libelous fake ass rumor on TikTok that you and I had this like very controversial segment on the podcast where we talked about Elon Musk and the alleged like, a Nazi salute, but that we cut it out. And people were like, what is it? What is it? Nobody ever asked to see the footage, by the way.
Starting point is 00:19:34 There was nothing said, nothing cut. We literally never even talked about on the podcast. And oh my God, it went insanely viral. Like, what's that phrase? A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to put its pants on. Oh my God, I was getting so much hate. I didn't even do anything. A lot of times I get hate for something I did.
Starting point is 00:19:53 Yeah, something we said. This was like a phantom scandal. And I was like, not only did this. happen you guys are making shit up i'm also pregnant fuck off no people don't give you like because cancellations are largely done in part by women women women don't care about other women especially pregnant women even though Alex cooper like she did bring that scandal upon herself by like starting it but still they're not letting her go yeah no women i didn't even realize you were pregnant at the time oh i did i was like so stressed i'm like i i really i know it might not feel this way but i really go
Starting point is 00:20:25 out of my way to avoid any sort of like drama or controversy or scandal on the podcast. Like it is par for the course when you do this job. But I think some people do seek it out. Like they really do. Yeah. It gives me terrible anxiety. Like I don't want it. So I'm like, I didn't even do anything this time.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Like what are you guys talking about? Yeah. I felt crazy. No, we were the only ones not crazy. Correct. As always. Mm-hmm. The stories.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Oh, we do have dear toasters today. I mean, we're already 20 minutes into the PFFB. It might just have to wait till next week. Oh, I do want to let everyone know. tomorrow but we have like an actual like celebrity fill in who will be sitting in this seat you have we have our number one guest co-host from Claudia's last maternity leave like I was thinking of yeah we go over to the data I was thinking of who I wanted co-host with it's just like one day that claudia is out and I was like well who was the most popular person the last time Claudia was out
Starting point is 00:21:17 and that person is co-hosting with me tomorrow correct and I'll leave it at that we'll leave it at that But yeah, I could get into the stories, even though the major story is our... Even though, like, I'm pregnant. Even though Koji is the major story. It's insane that we would literally ever talk about like anyone else. I know, but we still have some time to fill. So, without further, a do-da-do-do, it is time for the fast-five stories that yet do need to know. The fast five stories that you need to know are brought to you by Vivrel.
Starting point is 00:21:50 If you don't know Vivrell yet, you are missing out. It's a member's only club where you can experience a rotating closet of design. bags and jewelry. The options are insane. Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dior, all the brands you love, all the brands you dream of, now available for a very normal monthly price. Starting point is 00:22:55 I have currently borrowed from Vivrelle this insane Chanel bag that I was supposed to wear to the Knicks game, but I couldn't because they wouldn't let you bring a bag, but I found use for it anyway. I know Margo, our sister, does a lot of jewelry from Verveal. It's the best. It's literally so genius. Go to Viveral.com, apply for a membership today and use our code toast to get your first month of membership free.
Starting point is 00:23:14 That's V-I-V-R-E-L-E dot com, code toast for your first month free. Today's episode is also brought you by Minky Couture. Yes, we're talking about a lot of high-end brands today, including Hott-Cature, Minky Couture. So Minky Couture makes blankets. And you will actually never buy a different blanket once you lay with a minky. Like just get on your back and lay with a minkie. Their blankets are so soft, so luxurious. You are quite literally cuddling with the cloud.

Starting point is 00:29:05 yeah our first story country stars ella langley and tucker wetmore are dating so nearly a year after sparking dating rumors ella langley and tucker wetmore are now confirmed to be a pair the pair were recently seen together after the National Songwriter Awards and previously they performed a duet at a charity event. So Tucker Wetmore is a very popular country artist. If you don't know him, he's very talented on his way up and Ella Langley is the reigning queen of country. Yeah, I feel like it's kind of crazy. Like, I don't know why I was like waiting for her to date Morgan Wallen because like the king dates the queen, you know? They never do. No, they never do. And I also am shocked that she's dating a country artist because I feel like she had, she was involved in that sort of like drawing.
Starting point is 00:29:49 with Riley Green and Megan Maroney. So much of Megan Moroney's new album is about Riley Green. And I think he like left Megan. A Megan's side of it is that he like left Megan for Ella and Ella was Megan's friend. But whatever. I don't know that to be true or false. And I'm not like involved deeply in that drama. A lot of people are.
Starting point is 00:30:04 I'm not. And I just feel like Tucker Wetmore has the potential to be like Riley Green 2.0. Yes. I also see it more like Casey Musgraves and her husband. Whose name you don't know because what you're trying to say is like she's dating within her genre, but like at a lower level. I see it like Marin Morris. Ryan Hurd, yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:30 What the hell? Rustin Kelly. Great memory. And I also see it like Kelsey Ballerini and Morgan Evans. You know, I think I've seen this film before. And I didn't like. It is very difficult to date someone. And I think gender roles play a huge thing here
Starting point is 00:30:50 because if it was a big country male star dating like an up-and-comer girl, we'd be like, oh, yay, and it could work out. It would be amazing. It would be amazing. But like having the queen of country and like, and I know he's super popular, but like not even remote compared to her.
Starting point is 00:31:03 It's very difficult when like the man is the lesser successful and they do the same thing. I think it really messes with them like Kelsey Ballerini, Casey Musgraves, Mara. And so I want to love this because on its face I do. I've seen Tucker Wetmore on the charts and like, cool, they're like so country and young and attractive and successful. But it's a strange dynamic and you need to be a certain kind of man to thrive in that situation and not let it come between you. And we've yet to see that kind of man.
Starting point is 00:31:34 It gives me pause. Like unless he's going to be a Conner Leavitt, you know. And not everyone can be a Connerley of it. No, they can't be. It's kind of a Ben's offer. Yes. Like we do the same thing. like obviously I'm like much more famous in this class fall even though like these days like I don't
Starting point is 00:31:52 do anything I say no to everything and Ben like doesn't stop working and he is going to eclipse me like relatively soon um but yeah no it's not an easy thing no it's not so I'm rooting for them I am always going to you know I'm not going to let the patterns of the past like dictate the future and like project that baggage onto them of course you would never I would never um and I don't want to like damp in everyone's mood because I I feel like everyone was really excited about this. Yeah. But that's just how Jack sees it.
Starting point is 00:32:24 I don't disagree. I love you coming at this from a negative place. It's inspired because I'm always the one sort of carrying the torch for the negativity. I'm coming at this from a place of concern. Yeah, just like sort of forewarning. Was that the word? Yes. Forewarned is forearmed.
Starting point is 00:32:42 Exactly, Ella. Exactly. So, you know, I don't know what she can even do, I hope that he's that he's just the right guy. Yeah, like maybe he is the Conor Laovit of the country music industry. Maybe he is. Maybe he is. He looks great.
Starting point is 00:32:57 I think I listen to his music. And I just want to say, it's not like he has no success. He's actually like a chart topper. Very new, but like has a lot of potential. I think the problem with the examples we cited previously is like there was like little to no commercial success. Okay. So he is the person I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:33:14 I feel like I'm like, I feel like there's a Tucker brunette that I like. that I think he has a song called Brunette. So it's him. Yes, yes he does. So he's not completely irrelevant at all. Like I think he has a lot of potential to be like Ella level. The others like when we were talking about like Kelsey and like and like I love them. And I'm like a deep country music fan.
Starting point is 00:33:35 But like they had like really no commercial success. Yeah. But we wish you a hearty muscle. We do wish you a hearty muscle. And Ella, I can't wait to see your wild side. Everyone should get to know. She definitely has a wild side. Obviously Tucker's getting to know it.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Yeah. Obviously. You truly sing and you dance at every place you go. Obviously you can relate having had a wild side yourself. Oh, me. Of course. Yes. Of course I can.
Starting point is 00:34:05 And I could see it in her, you know? So do you think Tucker will be able to handle all of that? No. Just my prediction. Okay. But we're rooting for you. Who? Who are you talking to now? Tucker and Ella.
Starting point is 00:34:23 Yeah, no, it's cute. It's cute. It's cute. And also, like, I think that part of her continued success will be, like, you have to do these types of things where you date within your industry. And I also like the fact that she's, like, publicly dating someone semi-obvious and it's, like, a cute couple that we can all root for. Fun. You know, not just like. We're, like, over here being haters.
Starting point is 00:34:43 No, no, no. I wasn't being a hater. I just, like, I just needed to point that out. Sorry if that makes me toxic that I just couldn't. like bite my tongue. You don't have to apologize to me ever for being negative hate or toxic. Like, you know, I live for that. Sorry that I couldn't bite my tongue, but I just thought I should point that out.
Starting point is 00:34:57 Like, you know. And I'm glad you did. Talking about like pop culture history, that's what we do. And we come out of from the wangles. Of course, as historians ourselves, yes. You know, that's all I had to say it. I had to mention the history. You don't have to explain yourself to me.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Are you ready for our next story? Mm-hmm. Taylor Swift dropped a new 13-second patience. You're a music video trailer. Oh, it's 13 seconds. I can. trailer, featuring Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell. It was played on CBS Mornings, and it will premiere at the MTV Video
Starting point is 00:35:29 Music Awards, where she is getting the new award for newness of directorial. Correct. For Lifetime Newness Award. The Lifetime Newness of Directorial Nunes video. And this is where, like, I am annoyed because now I have to watch VMAs. and like even I might not have watched it before I knew the music video was coming
Starting point is 00:35:50 because it's like yeah she's going to be there but it's like I'll watch the clips you know now unfortunately I have to watch and like that's annoying because I don't even know if I have MTV on my YouTube TV because that's how infrequently I go over there her music videos are very good like I think that we're going to get something good
Starting point is 00:36:06 the song we obviously didn't hear any of the song but like there was like an instrumental it's giving Irish jig and then Colin Farrell Irish? Yes. Right? Sort of like the
Starting point is 00:36:18 the heartthrob of Ireland. The Irishman. It's giving like it's giving Ireland like the whole thing. I don't know how Dakota Johnson becomes Ireland but. And like the scene that I'm looking at
Starting point is 00:36:31 is giving like spy movie not Ireland. Well well you could have your spy movie take place in Ireland. It could be like patient zero double zero seven. Double zero. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:44 I love that. I was getting lots of tortured poets vibes. Okay. From just like a lot of the coloring and like it almost looked like the folklore music video at some points. But again, we're seriously just like grasping at Strauss. We saw 13 seconds. Like I don't even know what the hell I'm talking about. Looking forward.
Starting point is 00:37:03 Do you have any predictions for what the song's going to sound like? What's the title? Oh, Patient Zero. Okay, let me think. Hold on. Patient Zero. Patient zero. This is like the beginning.
Starting point is 00:37:24 Patient's zero. It, it, it, I'm your hero. Let's Robert De Nero. Let's go hero. Zero. How many fucks do I get? How many fucks are you?
Starting point is 00:37:39 None. Not one. Zero, zero, zero, column peril. That's great. Yeah. I think I'm kind of close. We actually can't do this
Starting point is 00:37:49 because whenever the song comes out, like, for, people are you going to actually sounds like my client is. No, like any time I think of the song title, like I will think of your version. Patient Zero. That was like. I like what I was working with in the beginning there. Like, patience.
Starting point is 00:38:04 Obviously, I lost it after Robert Tenor. Of course. I know. I like, on your hero. Yeah. Anti-hero. It sort of sounds like the Brady brunch. Here's a story.
Starting point is 00:38:13 Lovely lady. And honestly, that's obviously like an Easter egg because Taylor is super inspired. Yeah. Yeah. And so it's like a big family, brings back to wish list. Yes, right, right.
Starting point is 00:38:24 It always comes back to wish list. Patient Zero. And like it's a little bit robotic. Like, patient zero. I love that. Okay, well, we'll see you at the VMAs and tomorrow we get the song. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:45 Yeah. Oh, yeah. Sorry, I didn't realize we get the song tomorrow. Yeah. The MA Sunday. It's really like, I guess, I don't know what it is, but she really sticks to this format, you know? Old school, like going to award shows to promote her music,
Starting point is 00:39:00 going to radio stations to promote music. Yeah, she believes in like a 2000s version of the music industry. Of not letting it go. She's not letting it go. I love how she just like uses the VMAs to fill. I mean, Jackie, we're watching a music video on MTV. Like, what year is it? And they're like, please use us, you know?
Starting point is 00:39:18 Desperate to be used. Would never come, like, just because. You like us. Or like she wants to win an award. You're hoping to win something like, use our stage. It's usry. It's usry. Usory.
Starting point is 00:39:33 Major. Are you ready for our next story? Mm-hmm. Ryan Murphy says he just finished the script for a glee reboot and has spoken to the original cast. They're all very enthusiastic, says Ryan Murphy. So it's a good day to be a gleeke. Following long swirling rumors of a potential glee reboot creator Ryan Murphy has officially weighed in and revealed that there's a script.
Starting point is 00:39:51 He said, well, funny you asked to entertainment tonight, because I just finished the script an hour ago. So we have a script. Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan and I, who wrote all the first two seasons, have written something. I've been in touch with around 10 of the original cast members. It's very sweet, and they all had a lot of questions,
Starting point is 00:40:06 but they're all very enthusiastic about the idea. Who are the 10? Of course, Liam Michelle. Of course Matthew Morrison. Let's do, like, the other Gleekew of members. So, Jenna. Oh, Jenna Ashwitz. Mercedes Jones
Starting point is 00:40:22 Artie and Kurt Artie Sue It's not a show without Sue Oh it goes without saying If Jane Lynch is unavailable Throw the script in the garbage Agreed
Starting point is 00:40:34 Hopefully Coach Bees But I wouldn't include her in my 10 I love Coach Bees Hopefully Ross Washington Mrs. Pillsbury for sure Were they still together by the end Is she still in the show? They got married yeah
Starting point is 00:40:45 Oh Mrs. Pillsbury Okay yeah yeah first Oh Darren Chris Yes Becca Tobin. Oh, I don't know if they're gonna go next gen, you know? Yeah, like Marnie. Right, there were so many people.
Starting point is 00:40:57 And if they cast Marnie, they better not cast that ugly loser face. And I need to say his name more, the one who abused the shit out of her physically, Blake Jenner. Yeah, he's still a working actor. Isn't that insane? Oh, yeah. Oh, my God. And she went public with it, like, literally. And I love that she said, like, yeah, it's him.
Starting point is 00:41:16 Like, not like I was once in a relationship. No, it was him. I hate him. I see him sometimes like doing press. I'm like, you should be in jail. What are you doing on TV? I'm proud to say like I don't see him around.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Blake Jenner is his name. There's actually way more than 10 people who need to be involved. Melissa Benoist. Absolutely. Absolutely. Now, nobody on this planet, like Glee did not make a bigger impact on anyone in the world than it did on me. Harry Shum. I know.
Starting point is 00:41:45 I was thinking the same thing, but he's busy. He's on Grids Anatomy. I love Glee. I have rewashed. Watched Glee an infinite amount of times. And I do worry that the Glee curse is real. Absolutely. I do worry by rebooting the show.
Starting point is 00:42:05 You also reboot the curse. And I feel that everybody who made it out of Glee unscathed and alive should be worried about that, honestly. I don't think it's a Glee curse. I think it's a Hollywood curse. I think it's a Hollywood success curse. I know, but like, they were all in the same show. It was a huge cast. We had Finn, who was Corey Monteth who passed away.
Starting point is 00:42:32 We had Mark Sailing, who was Puck, who was under investigation for, like, child pornography, and then took his own life. Naira Rivera, tragic, tragically passing. Oh, that was so horrible. Is that what else is involved in the glee curse? Is that it? I mean, not that you need more than that.
Starting point is 00:42:49 Yeah, but there might be other, like, smaller stories, but I think in terms of death. Those are the big three. Yeah. Oh, hopefully if Brad Fowchuk is involved, the substitute teacher Holly Holiday will be making an appearance. Like, honestly, the fact that there's only 10 on board is concerning to me. That number should be so true.
Starting point is 00:43:04 A healthy 20. 000 percent. Because there are more than 10 people that absolutely are non-negotiables for me to be involved. Now, let's come up with plot. Because it has to take place at William McKinley High School, obviously. So why would they all be coming out? Maybe it's their 10-year reunion. but that's like not compelling enough for like a series.
Starting point is 00:43:20 Are they old enough to have children? Maybe or like perhaps Mr. Shoe, like the Glee Club has gotten so big and successful, new directions. They're oozing out that they have to like bring on more teachers and like expand the Gleague Club department. Oh, that's cute. And then like some people come back to teach.
Starting point is 00:43:37 Perhaps Lea Michelle, who's in the show like a Broadway star, Tony Award winning. Maybe she comes back for like. But all of these sound like, you know, small specials. Yeah. Or it could be like, you know, the town rec center is starting a Glee Club for... No, it has to take place at the school. Okay, I got it.
Starting point is 00:43:58 Leah Michelle gets like canceled. She has to go back home to her dad's house and she just, you know, gets back in contact with Mr. Shoe and, you know, maybe some of the Glee Club members live in and their kids go. And she reconnects to her past. And she becomes the head of the league club. And then she realized maybe she doesn't need Hollywood. She just needs Mr. Show. Maybe.
Starting point is 00:44:23 But I think she wouldn't be a good teacher because like those who can't do teach, those who can do. Go to Broadway. Yeah. She's like so self-centered. She couldn't teach anyone else. No, I know. I don't know. And they did leave the high school.
Starting point is 00:44:42 Yeah, they did leave the high school. they had like half the series where they were all living in New York and that was like some of the worst episodes. I think the idea of the rec center like starting like a Glee Club and then like you know varying adults in the community can come join. The Glee room like is an important. It's a central character. You know?
Starting point is 00:45:01 Well maybe the rest center took over the old William McKinley High School. I hope they bring back the principal. Yeah, he was a good principal. Or I have lots of ideas. I'm not about to give them to Ryan Murphy for free. But also it's like it's your guys' problem to make this good. Oh, and you better make it good. How about that?
Starting point is 00:45:21 Yeah. Yeah. Are you ready for our next story? Mm-hmm. I want to say speaking of Glee, but this has nothing to do with Glee, but it just feels like it does. We can find a way. Okay, because Taylor Lottner and his wife, Taye Lottner, have welcomed their first baby and announce the name.
Starting point is 00:45:36 And I think as far as names go, like this has been a highly anticipated name. What will the two people with the same name name their child? The same? Will they name the baby Taylor? Will they? Did they? No. Kind of.
Starting point is 00:45:51 Kind of. They named their baby Lenin, Taylor, Lottner. Now let me tell you how this connects back to Glee. Like, why does he feel so glee? It was the same time. Because, oh, I'm sorry. And Quinn Fabre, Ms.ana Agron, better be one of the ten people that was called.
Starting point is 00:46:09 Obviously, when you think of Taylor Lautner, one of the things that comes to mind is Taylor Swift. Yeah. When I think of one of the things, when I think about Taylor Swift, I think about her longstanding and then almost disappeared immediately, friendship with Diana Agron. Diana Agron, Glee. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:46:25 I didn't more so. It's just like the time that we were watching, Twilight was like the same time we were watching Glee, so all those people are sort of wrapped up together. Don't oversimplify it. Wrapped up together for me. Also, just speaking of Taylor really quickly, did you hear about like dancing with the stars as having a Taylor Swift night? Oh, are they?
Starting point is 00:46:39 Yeah, in like a couple weeks, so people are thinking it has to do with like new music and stuff. Right. I had heard, not that I heard, they have done that before. I remember when Hannah Brown season, she danced to love her. Like, I think that they do have done Taylor Swift before. And, you know, Mandy Moore, who choreographs a lot of the dances on dancing with the stars, is also Taylor Swift's choreographer.
Starting point is 00:46:59 So there's lots of... And of course, Jan Rovnik. And of course, Jan Rovnik, yes. Okay. Love this. Yeah, just curious what that will mean for, like, new music and stuff, but... You're dancing to a Taylor Swift song. Which one are you choosing?
Starting point is 00:47:13 and what style of dance are you doing? I don't know. Because me, I'm doing a jive to message in a bottle. I might be doing a jive to shake it off. You would. You know? Yeah. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:47:30 Yeah. Hell yeah. Or paper rings. I would jive the fuck out of paper rings. Or I'm doing like a Viennese waltz to out of the woods. Oh, that's chilling. Or a tango, a tango to like false god. You know?
Starting point is 00:47:44 Sultry. Very. Or a cha-cha. Is there a cha-cha? She doesn't really do a lot of cha-cha. Let me think. Chacha. A ch-cha.
Starting point is 00:47:56 A ch-cha. A reputation. Like a ch-chata, you belong with me. That's so cute. Yeah. The Taylor's Lotner had their baby, baby girl. Lennon Taylor-Lotner. Love Lennon.
Starting point is 00:48:12 They're calling the baby Lenny. I love that. I love that they. Oh, that's cute, Lenny. I love that they included Taylor. Of course. Because that's so integral to their family. And now they're going to have to make that the middle name for all their children.
Starting point is 00:48:23 I hope they know that. Do they know that? Oh, you think? I think. That's smart. So that they can all be Taylor's Lawtoners. Yeah, right. Like, genuinely, who wouldn't want to be Taylor's Launers?
Starting point is 00:48:35 Yeah. But I don't know if they realize that they might just think like their first baby they're like naming for them. Cutsie. But no, you have to do it for all of your children. Yeah. And that's so cute. it is it's also like a good hyphenate to a first name like Lennon Taylor yeah or like yeah some people who use their middle names it a lot like jean taylor do a lot of people use their middle names a lot yeah like Lauren Elizabeth is that her middle name I thought it was more of like a stage name I think her middle name became her stage name interesting yeah definitely people in Hollywood like use their middle names as like their first name oh Rachel Megan Markle Rachel Megan Markle exactly I wonder if I was like a in the same room as Megan Markle and I said,
Starting point is 00:49:16 Rachel, would she turn around? No. I don't think so either. Her friends, they call her Meg, right? Right. It's giving Kelly Briann. Everything is giving Kelly Brianne. 1000%.

Starting point is 00:54:09 on a GLP-1 these days and the thing that we're hearing over and over is how important it is to get protein. whether you're on a GLP 1 or not. Like protein is everything. You can find the Egg Life wraps chilling in the fridge at Aldi, Whole Foods, Kroger, Target, Walmart, and more. You can also visit Egglife Foods.com to find a retailer near you. So go to egglifefoods.com to find a retailer near you. Thank you, Tert Taylor. And nothing hurts anymore. I feel kind of free. Our fifth and final story is some casting news
Starting point is 00:55:28 because Netflix has a new, like, celebrity reality TV competition show. Okay, trying to compete with traders. To the mix called Million Dollar Secret. So I believe Million Dollar Secret was a layperson reality TV, show and now they're doing it with celebrities. But I heard West Wilson is on it. West Wilson is on it. So this is who is on Million Dollar Secret.
Starting point is 00:55:49 They, you know, film at a glamorous Lakeside Estate known as the Stag. And there they must out with their competition and identify the recipient of a million dollars hiding among them. So here is everyone who didn't get cast on traitors. Literally. Adam Ripon. Or Dancing with the Stars. Adam Ripon.
Starting point is 00:56:07 Or I think Adam Ripon like already did dancing with the stars. Right. Or they've already done. those things. Right. Adam Ripon, Olympian, Adam Scher, who's a host of something called Everything on the menu. Brianna Chicken Fry.
Starting point is 00:56:22 Bridget Everett. Comedian. Bridget Everett. Okay, well, maybe they shouldn't have canceled her amazing HBO show and she wouldn't have to be slumming it on a show with West Wilson. Shelly Bessaint, host of Love, comma, songs. Chloe Vitch, host of sneaky links, but we all know her from that season of Too Hot to Handle. Like tell us where they're from.
Starting point is 00:56:41 Oh, okay, thank you. Netflix loves her. They're always putting her in shit. Good for her. Yeah. Like gainful employment. I love that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:49 Chris Red, comedian from S&L. I know him. Christine Quinn selling sunset. She would actually be really good on traitors. Yes, she would. Maybe she already did it. She didn't. Because she has the looks.
Starting point is 00:57:03 Yes. And like she's very smart, sharp. She's very villainous, so you'd probably expect her to be a traitor, but then she probably would. be a faithful. David Arquette, the actor. What in the world is this cast? Dom Gabriel from Perfect Match. Malora Hardin, your favorite actress. You're kidding me. Malora Hardin. That's Jan from the office, right? Yeah. And the boss from the bold type. Yep, and the principal from 17 again. Well, this changes everything because I was about to be really negative, but Malora Harding is working.
Starting point is 00:57:37 No, the cast is pretty real. I know you probably only saw West Wilson, so you just assumed it was like people who couldn't get jobs elsewhere. But like there are. It does sound like people who couldn't get jobs elsewhere. But Malora can get jobs. Yes. David Arquette can get jobs.
Starting point is 00:57:52 Maybe not like he used to. Phoebe Robinson, who's a comedian and West Wilson. I'm not going to lie, it's not a very compelling cast. Like in terms of you want to be up there competing with the traders and the dancing with the stars of the world, I don't know. Well, you got to start somewhere, right? Like, who was Traders season one cast? I feel like it was still, like, good people.
Starting point is 00:58:15 Yeah. And you would think just, like, being Netflix, like, people would want to be on it. Yeah. Yeah, it's not, like, amazing. Also, what is the million-dollar secret? Like, how does it work? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:58:28 I think, like, one person, I don't know, actually. I'm not even going to pretend. The first season of Traders was both celebrities and civilians. Oh, that's interesting. The celebrities were the celebrities were Surrey Fields from Survivor Quentin Giles, a political analyst, Andy Vanekor
Starting point is 00:58:47 Slash Thurmond, a music services director, and then Ari Lindeike, Brandy Glanville, Cody Califiori, Kate Chastain, Kyle Cook, Rachel Riley, Ryan Lockty and Stephanie LaGroza Kendrick from Survivor. Okay, so like the two are not the same because that's a pretty good cast for a show that's just like nobody knows about.
Starting point is 00:59:05 Yeah. Kyle Cook was on Traders. Season one. I'm cracking up. Like, no, I'm sorry. This is, I really probably won't ever watch anything that West Wilson does just because like it goes against my code of ethics. So unless I hear that this is like the most amazing show and people are like,
Starting point is 00:59:24 Charity you got to watch it, it will be a pass for me. And that's mostly because I hate West Wilson, but also this is like a kind of a rag tech group. Yeah. No, and I feel like it's not must watch television unless you're like invested in the people, which I'm not. I mean, no, I either. But I do imagine, like, West needs money. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:42 It's going on a year of, like, no work. I mean, Sierra called him broke on dancing with the stars. And you know what? She's not wrong. She did go on Twitter and clarify being like, by the way, I've unfortunately dated like a lot of broke guys. Like she says she wasn't talking about. West, even though, like, he definitely is on the verge of Broke.
Starting point is 00:59:59 Yeah, so she danced to know broke boys. And, like, Julianne asked her about the inspiration. And this is a stupid question. As always, Julianne was a stupid question. Oh, sorry, I don't mean to come for the house. Sorry. You know I love her. Like, you know that I do?
Starting point is 01:00:12 No, I love her. She's in it. And you see she's getting so much hate for the dress that she wore and people were like, are you? Oh my God. I thought it was like cute. Like, I don't know if I would never wear it, but I had no problem with it. People were like, are you going to talk about her dress? I'm like, no.
Starting point is 01:00:23 She looked so cool. She looked so beautiful. Like she can seriously do no wrong. But there's nothing really to ask after someone's just dance and they're out of breast. You're like, what was the inspiration for no broke boys? Yeah. They told me to dance to it, so I did. I had to pick a viral song.
Starting point is 01:00:37 No, but anyway, so Sierra said, like, a boy tried to ruin my life. But he didn't, and we're here. And now he's on this, like, sad show. Yeah, trying to keep a secret. Which he is very good at. He is. Can you keep a secret? Me?
Starting point is 01:00:53 Mm-hmm. No. Like, if you guys have a piece of information that you don't want getting out, never tell me. Like, I didn't mean that. I can keep a secret. unless you are a blood relative of mine. Like I'm still not going to tell people that you're pregnant.
Starting point is 01:01:09 You shouldn't. Do you ever tell like my friends before you posted? So funny. I have been like very lazay. I was like telling people on the street. But then also sometimes I'd be like very superstitious. I'm like Ben you can't tell. You know?
Starting point is 01:01:21 Only when it came to Ben. And as I was getting ready to announce, I'm like, I guess there are people I should tell, but I genuinely cannot remember who I told. Right. So I just decided, fuck it. Like they'll call me. Yeah, because it's like you don't want like some people in your personal life to like find out with the rest of the world. So you try and like tell your people a couple days before.
Starting point is 01:01:38 Exactly. But I lost track. But I didn't tell my friends because I would never. I couldn't remember. And then I was texting with your friend Sam. And she was like, how are you feeling? And I was like, oh, I must have told her. I'm like so much better. Thank God.
Starting point is 01:01:50 And she never answered me. And then yesterday she sent me a screenshot. She was like, I wasn't sure what you were talking about. I'm like, well, that's a weird way to ask how I'm doing. She said, how are you feeling? That's funny. I wonder what she meant. So I guess I didn't tell her.
Starting point is 01:02:06 No, I don't think you did. Like, I don't think I told Dana. I didn't tell Dana. You know what? I came across my mind. I'm like, oh, I should tell Dana. And then I obviously forgot and just like posted. And then Dana call me.
Starting point is 01:02:16 But like my friends know me. Like, I'm a steel trap. And even like when they want word to get out, I'm like, mums the word. I'm a jelly trap. Like, I can't not. Don't worry, Claudia. I'll keep your secret. Like I heard a piece of gossip
Starting point is 01:02:32 Like just about like people I know Nothing interesting Like maybe like four or five days ago When I tell you I've not stopped talking about it Well that's different Nobody asked you not to share and it's a story I think I know what you're saying That's going around town
Starting point is 01:02:45 That's completely different If someone asks me not to share something What from my memory? I might forget it's true I guess it depends who's asking Yeah Let's dive into Deer Toaster's our weekly advice segment That we usually do on Tuesday
Starting point is 01:02:58 But we're doing today on Thursday If you ever want to write any advice from us, head over to thetoastpodcast.com. We've got a little submission box, or you can just shoot us an email. The toast podcast, nope. Deer Toasters at gmail.com. Are you ready?
Starting point is 01:03:11 Yep. Hey, Swerleys. I'm two years postpartum with my second child and I've gradually lost weight. I'm finally back to my wedding weight and I am thrilled. My husband is not. Wedding weight. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:21 My husband is not. He's constantly commenting on how skinny I am, how I have no butt, skeletor, etc. Thanks. Let me clarify. I'm 5-8 and 180 pounds. So I'm like nowhere near alarmingly skinny. I feel so good about myself and he's just being a total hater.
Starting point is 01:03:36 I even feel I could continue to lose weight because according to my BMI, I am still considered overweight. I recently saw on his phone he was looking at large women, BBW, as they call it, and when you search the web. I also do think this can be family trauma as well. My mother-in-law definitely has some form of eating disorder. She's very thin and muscular. Do I tell him I know he has his fat girl fetish? How do I handle his body shaming? I don't give a fuck.
Starting point is 01:03:59 I feel so good about my. myself again thoughts oh this is complex yeah because like on the one hand dream partner you know no on the other on the one hand it is your body you need to feel good what however you want to look and want to be and want to live like that is what we're going to do here we're not going to especially after having kids like right we're not going to like stay unhealthy and unhappy because like that's what your husband wants because he has some mommy issues right right right but like what do you do when your ideal body type is not your husband's type? So I would sort of like de-center yourself from this because I feel that your husband's like
Starting point is 01:04:42 obviously projecting like something going on with him. I don't think it's more of a reflection on like him being attracted to you. It is like most unfortunate that he's like putting his shit on you and like you've just got done having babies. Like you're finally feeling good about yourself and he's over here like having a breakdown looking at BBW on online. Unfortunately like you do have to talk to him about this. this is not something you can just sort of like skirt around.
Starting point is 01:05:02 Yeah, but I don't understand how like you're at your wedding weight, the weight that he married you at. And like, correct. And like, that's saying that's not attractive to him. See, that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:05:11 That's not the case. Like, I don't think it really has anything to do with the girl writing in. So I don't want her to like feel bad about herself or think he's not attracted to her. Because yeah, he married you at this weight. That's like probably when someone loves you the most is when they marry you. Like so sort of like he's kind of psychotherapy.
Starting point is 01:05:27 Yeah. But you, I guess should talk about it. but also it's like it's so like immature like a child like I want you be this size like why don't you just love the person what about that no if I wanted to look in and find like a deep red flag I could like controlling someone's weight is insane yeah now he's not controlling it he's just like making comments no and it's like if you don't look this way that I'm not attracted to you like why not be attracted to the woman who buried your children who loves you even though you sound
Starting point is 01:05:54 like what he looks like even though he sounds like a piece of work let's talk about what he looks like tell us let's start criticizing him like why are we talking about your weight this is fucking crazy yeah keep going divorce keep going it's obvious obviously gay no not divorce but you know no not divorce but like seriously grow the fuck up and just like know in your head like that he's mostly wrong and don't let it like stop you from enjoying your life and in case nobody said this to you good for you mama postpartum two years Back at your wedding weight. Slay mama skeletor.
Starting point is 01:06:30 Sleigh mama. And you know what? You wear that skeletor with pride. Oh, of course. That's like when somebody call me an ozambic skeleton. Like, okay, best day of my life. Thanks.
Starting point is 01:06:40 Hey, gals. Earlier this year, my family relocated to a new city and state for my job because, you know, corporate boss, swirley. In my quest to make adult friends as a grown woman, which somehow feels harder than dating,
Starting point is 01:06:49 I met another mom. We've now hung out three times, twice with the kids, and once for a mom, wine night. We text throughout the week about school, parenting, all the random mom things. I think it's going great and she could really become a good friend of mine.
Starting point is 01:06:59 There's just one tiny problem. I do not know her name. Somewhere between the first text exchange, playground hangs, wine night, I just missed it. She never actually signed her messages with her name and now I fear I'm in too deep in the friendship to ask. I've searched the school directory. I've scrolled old text. I've played an internet detective. Nothing.
Starting point is 01:07:16 So what do I do? Confess, continue living this fake double life hoping someone says her name in front of me, fake a head injury and start over. Signed us really just trying to make new friends. This is such a real thing. And I don't know like how, I don't know how you just don't find out her name. No, like there's a lot of ways. Two practical methods I'm going to share.
Starting point is 01:07:36 One, like looking up her phone number in like a phone directory. There are like apps where it will tell you who. A lot of times if you just Google search someone's phone number, it might come up too. Right. I would also introduce her to your husband. And then you say, this is my husband, Steve. And she goes, hi. I'm Marlora.
Starting point is 01:07:54 What do you think your name is? Malora Harding. I think her name's Malora. This is seriously so unfortunate. Yeah. But I also don't know how you haven't found it. I feel like you're not trying hard enough. Like between having her phone number and like knowing where she lets, search her address.
Starting point is 01:08:12 You can sync your contacts to Facebook and then Facebook will give you her page. Or like do you just have a friend? Like for us it's Olivia Asher. Like if I need a piece of information, I take it to the OOBI, the Olivia Ashery Bureau of Investigation. Do you have an FBI member in your midst? Do you have an informant? If I needed someone's name and all I had was their phone number, Olivia would say give me 10 minutes.
Starting point is 01:08:37 Yeah. This is nothing for a girl like Olivia. Sometimes it's okay to outsource. Honestly, you just give us her phone number. I was going to say, DM Olivia, the girl's phone number and any other identity. Maybe you have her address. Like if you went to wine name, drop her off. D.M. Olivia, say Jackie and Claudia told me to DM you.
Starting point is 01:08:52 To give you this. The Latin is too six. And there it goes. So unless you have like, going to live you in your life, like feel free to use ours. Yeah, I'll give her out for one favor.
Starting point is 01:09:04 Yes. But don't abuse it. Don't abuse it because, like, we keep her very busy. Yeah. All right, our third and final. Hey,
Starting point is 01:09:14 Jackson, Claude. I have a weird question. My ex from like 10 plus years ago would always wear this very specific cologne that I really loved. I'd forgotten about it until recently when some random guy
Starting point is 01:09:22 at work was wearing it. I love the sense so much. I'm actually considering buying it for my husband. Is that weird? Yes, it reminds me of my ex, but it's not like I'm thinking about him constantly or that I care. I'm literally married to my dream man. And honestly, I just love the scent.
Starting point is 01:09:33 I don't know. Maybe I'm overthinking it. I would love to hear your thoughts. You know what? Like, it's fine as long as, you know, just like you and us and our millions of listeners know this. Like, are the only people. You know, we're the only people who know it. I will say, I think for me, like, scent is so wrapped up in memory that I personally,
Starting point is 01:09:48 I would not be able to extricate the smell from the person. In fact, the smell would smell like my feelings about that person. So I just want to say, like, if you love the smell. I totally agree. If I was a therapist and I wanted to look into this, like I would say you're obviously not over your ex. Scent is so tied to people. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:04 So for me, I couldn't. But if you really just love the smell and he happened to be the one who introduced you to it and you don't think of him at all, go for it. You found a smell you like. That's hard. I'm actually going to disagree with you
Starting point is 01:10:17 and say this is a slippery slope. This is how it starts. Then you're talking to my Facebook. You send him a friend request. I think, girl, you're playing with fire. And there are millions. in fragrances out there. And you know what you can ask chat?
Starting point is 01:10:30 If I like this. I like Drakhanoir. What is a alternative? Yeah. That's a good idea. Because I do think there's some unresolved. Like you being obsessed with this fragrance 10 years later. Like there's definitely some unresolved things going on there.
Starting point is 01:10:43 Yeah. You're trying to like turn your man into your ex. Exactly. And like you're sort of like you're sort of in your submission like preaching a little too hard. And I have my dream man. It's like, well, do you? But also I would need to know more about like,
Starting point is 01:10:56 The X. Like, is it just like, you know, one of many X is not like the X of your life. Do you know what I mean? Like, just someone you dated for a little bit in college or whatever. Like. She just refers to him as her X from like 10 plus years ago. I know, but it's like, I guess that is a really long time ago. Like, is that a, like people have significant X's and then people have insignificant X.
Starting point is 01:11:18 Of course. On the rate of 1 to 10, how significant was this X? Only you can answer that. And if it's above. How significant was this X? Not how significant was the sex. If it's above a six, find another fragrance. That's your toaster.
Starting point is 01:11:36 Thank you to everybody who wrote in. Sorry for the delay to the DTQ, but we got you in just in the nick of time. Just a reminder, I'm out tomorrow, but we have a celebrity guest host filling in it. It's not been. It's not been. No, because I keep saying celebrity.
Starting point is 01:11:49 He is very popular. And he's a celebrity. No, and we had a lot of celebrities on when you were on your maternity leave. And this was the biggest and the baddest. And it's clear what the people want. It's clearly what the people want. So we'll sort of leave you with that spooky message.
Starting point is 01:12:04 Thank you guys so much for listening to the Tesla and the morning show. We deliver the fast-time story. I'm wondering the show. So if you're watching us on YouTube, please feel free to subscribing his video, thumbs up. We're also available to podcasts and where podcast we found. So that's Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube.
