It's Jackson, Claude and every show the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off, swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Friday. It's the final Friday of the year if you're a Jewess. I guess so, yeah. The Jewish New Year starts this evening.

Starts tonight, which is very exciting. Today is a very heavy day. I feel terrible. I feel terrible. Today is the 25th anniversary of 9th. 11. I was actually running so late this morning because I was just getting all of this 9-11 content. I don't know if you've seen or if people, Liz Woods put me onto this Twitter page called like 2001 live. And it's basically a Twitter account. They make them for like 50 years ago, 100 years ago. But it like live tweets the day as if it were September 10th, 2001. And they're doing September 11th minute by minute tweets.

Like as it happened. And I've been watching like just so much 9-11 content last night. I was just watching like. all these little docu videos on Instagram. And I feel like I get this sort of content every year. And it's just like shocking no matter how many times I've seen it. But I also feel like I'm seeing more stuff than I have in the past. And I feel like this year there's really like maybe I didn't understand this prior. But like the way that people experienced it in the moment is now so different from how we see it in hindsight. Like when the first plane hit the tower.

people were not sure that it wasn't an accident. That's why people say and it's so true. Like 9-11 really marks like the loss of innocence in our country because if something like that happened now, we'd be like, who done it? Like we would know that we were being attacked. People really,

really believed that it was an accident, like the plane lost control. Yeah. And it wasn't until clearly the second plane got hit that it was like, oh no, my God. Like somebody did this on purpose. And that's why like 9-11 makes me so sad for so many reasons. But I feel like there are people walking around now

who like either lived through it or like learned about it. And to have lived through it and to have known, even though I was only like 10 or 11, no, sorry, seven. To have experienced life before and life after. There's such a marked difference in culture in our country. And it just like marks this like really, I think like turning point, bad turning point for our country. And I think there's like a lack of understanding about it now

because there are so many people who just weren't there. And I was talking to Ben this morning. And there's so much garb. on the internet like conspiracy theories everything that they see now is it a i like no it's not a i it was israel oh of course it was bush did 9-11 like it's like a joke and it's literally not funny it was like um a hologram right or a drone it was a control demolition so i've seen so many videos of like because of all the smoke and everything when the buildings collapsed like you can't actually see the buildings collapse so people are like it's a control demolition but i've seen now like

simulations of how... Low IQ individuals think that. Of how the buildings did probably fall, but you can't see through all the clouds and dust. And it's just like makes me really mad about all the conspiracy theories. I also feel like there's one conspiracy theory that people sort of just like assumed to be true at this point, which I might have thought, but then I saw something yesterday, another piece of information that I didn't know, about United 93. I can't watch that movie. I've only seen it once.

And it seriously, it changed me. So United 93 was the passenger. jet that was hijacked that was headed for DC. They aren't sure where, yeah. And the passengers, like, rebelled and they were able to, like, get in the cockpit, and then the hijackers just slammed the plane into the ground, and they all died, but they saved whatever destination that they were headed for. And people sort of say, like, that plane was shot out of the sky because no one would have

allowed a passenger jet that would known to be hijacked. To hit the White House. Or just, like, flying around and crash anywhere, like they did crash into a field. And I was like, oh, I guess, like, maybe that would be true. But two things I learned yesterday. One, I saw an interview from a woman whose job it was to get into a fighter jet. I saw that too, the blonde lady. And take down United 93.

That she, like, it was going to be two fighter jets. She was going to hit the tail and the other one was going to hit the cockpit. And they were suiting up and getting into their jets. And then the plane went down. So, like, I feel like the story that we know is the truth. And then I also saw an interview with George Bush where when he, heard United 93 went down, like for the first 10 minutes, he thought that it was taken down because he had authorized that. He had authorized like any passenger plane that's like,

been known to be hijacked. Like we have to take them down. Of course. Which is a hard decision to make. Of course. And so when he heard United 93 went down, he thought that they did it. And it wasn't until like 10 minutes later that it was found out that the passengers did it. So I feel like that. If you've never seen that movie, you guys, it is, it's like the, it is the saddest movie I've ever seen in my whole life. Peter Herman Will Arnett Like every actor in that movie

It was really beautiful But it was also just like Shaming people Who think America deserve 9-11 Like just people He said you're not American If you think that If you say that

You have every right to say Whatever you want but that's not American. I'm actually going to the World Trade Center later today. Ben and I were talking this morning because you always think about your own experience and I feel like we talk about it every year, like being pulled from school and everything.

But we were on Long Island. Ben was in the city. He was on 84th Street. And I was just like asking a million questions and he was like we were walking everywhere. Like he lived thankfully like walking distance from school. He was like when we were walking home from school, there was smoke everywhere.

I'm like really all the way up on 80 whatever street? Like 100 blocks up town that morning, he was like, yeah, it was insane, like for weeks. Yeah. Also something that I didn't realize is like, so the North Tower was hit first, and then the people in the South Tower were told to stay in place. They, like, some people weren't trying to evacuate, and they, like, were making announcements, like, stay put, like, the...

Right, because if it was only the North Tower, it's almost even more dangerous to be outside. Yes, but they were getting, like, smoke in their building. So some people just, like, overrode that and started to leave. But for a while, before their tower was hit, they were being told to stay. There are so many stories of like, I mean, that's why, like you're saying,

you're getting so much content. There are so many stories of just like everyday people. I was just reading about the boats. I guess like almost a million people were evacuated. Manhattan is an island. So they, the Coast Guard put out a thing on the radio. Dunkirk style. Yes, to every boat in, you know, in the region being like,

if you can get to southern Manhattan, we're evacuated people. They evacuated almost a million people on like the Staten Island ferry, which is what Pete Davidson bought. That's Staten Island Ferry. But like tugboats and people's yachts. Yeah, I saw the same video. Regular people.

So, yeah. Because you couldn't get out of Lower Manhattan. Like obviously there's no subway. People were abandoning their cars because of traffic. Grid lock. Like the only way off at that point would be to go to the sea. Right. Or walk.

And you see videos of people like literally running uptown, running across the bridge. Yeah. And it's actually like, seen how much footage there is given that it was 2001 like a lot of people there had cell phones and that's how they all like left voicemails there used to be um phones on planes remember like you could make like a landline to collect call um and there's so much of that there's like audio recordings there's 911 calls but it's crazy because it really wasn't even that like digital of an era

yeah it was just the beginning like enough for people to have cell phones right communicate but like not to really document it the way that it would be documented. now. Yeah. The voicemails, I can't. Those, like, just break me. Like, oh my God, I saw, I listened to a girl like calling her sister yesterday. It's just, it's always a today, this year in particular, 25th anniversary, like, it does feel bigger and being in the city.

Like, it's so spooky. It's, and it's always a gorgeous day. Because that's what they say about 9-11. Like, it was the perfect day. But then I heard from 2001 live that there was supposed to be a hurricane. Then like the day before, the hurricane just passed New York. They were expecting like a cold. Flight cancellations.

Yes, but no, it turned out to be a perfect day. And then I also learned that Seth McFarlane was supposed to be on the flight from Boston. I did know that. I maybe I've heard that before, but I didn't remember it. That's crazy. Yeah. That's crazy. And just shout out to the first responders.

It's like imagine seeing the worst thing you've ever seen in your. your life. Like unimaginable, like tragedy, horror, fear. People are running for their fucking lives uptown and like you're running downtown. You're driving downtown. Like you're heading towards it. They're running down the stairs and you're running up. It's a different breed of human.

Yeah. And these are people with like families at home. So today's 9-11. Yeah. So I would recommend following along this account, I think they're doing a really good job. I don't know. My whole feed everything. Maybe because I keep watching everything.

I know. You are enabling the feed to continue. The more videos I watch, the more they serve me. No, it's very compelling. And I feel like the networks are getting new angles. Like I'm sure you saw like the guys who clean the 9-11 Memorial Pool and like their story. Oh yes. I've seen them.

Yeah, like people are, all the networks are like fighting to get like new and different stories and angles. And you know what? Like I appreciate. I mean, there are thousands of stories, unfortunately. And there will be a time. It reminds me like of the Holocaust where it's like there are so few survivors left. There won't be people around. forever who lived through 9-11 or let alone who were there yeah i heard from the the ticketing agent

who checked in the hijackers oh i didn't hear that that's spooky as fuck yeah and he thought they looked suss and he was like and then he checked himself internally he's like that's not politically correct oh and i mean in the movie like they were acting suspicious as hell that one guy was so nervous like yeah it's a lot of things maybe he looked like bulky underneath yeah no not that just just the way he looked. And he felt himself, he felt himself like being, like politically incorrect.

Improper. He like checked himself. And now he's like, fuck that. Like I should have trusted my gut. Wow. And it's also crazy to think about a life before TSA. Right.

At the time, there was nothing. They boarded with knives, which was legal. Did you just like waltz onto a plane before 9-11? Apparently. Not even like a metal detector?

They had metal detectors, but they weren't like scanning for the things that they scanned for now. And now you can't even bring a bottle of water. Yeah. And you know what? I feel like I'm always complaining about TSA. I know.

Obviously, they have their problems. Of course, they are an imperfect organization. But you know what? On days like today. Thank you TSA. I'll shut up. Yeah. And I saw a really sad story about another,

a lady who checked in for like a different flight who checked in the terrace and she took her own life. Oh my God. That's terrible. I've never heard that story. Yeah, just like so, that's what I mean. I feel like every year I see so much content

and like there's just more and more, but that's how many, it was thousands of people. If you're ever in a New York City cab, highly recommend chatting with your driver about, like, because a lot of these drivers are like older gentlemen who are around on 9-11 and like what they went through that day. Like so many of them like literally were like shuttles for cops

for firefighters because there was like no way to get around. If you were on the island, like you couldn't get off vehicularly and you really couldn't get on. The bridges were closed. So if you were there, there with your car, like a lot of them just got to work. Yeah. I also saw like Harvey Levin TMZ. They did a documentary called the fifth plane and there's a theory, but this seems like probably true. Wait, five planes. Two for the towers. Two for the towers. United 93.

Pentagon. But apparently like their documentaries about this fifth plane that was like delayed at JFK and they believe that there were hijackers on that plane and like whenever they got in the air. that something was going to happen. They said like the fisciest stuff was happening. And then they grounded all flights so like that flight never took off. But who did they think the hijackers were? Like did they arrest them? I don't know.

I would have to watch the documentary. But that seems to make sense. Yeah. Yeah, I'm sure there was like a lot of stuff like that. And I'm sure you've seen the James Woods story. The actor James Woods? No. James Woods is an actor.

And in the summer of 2001, he was on a flight from the East Coast to the West Coast. And he saw like some very systematic. suspicious behavior and he reported it. And it turned out that it was like Muhammad Atta and it was a dry run for 9-11. And they were talking to each other and watching the pilots. Oh my God. And like the night of 9-11, like the FBI showed up at his door to like ask him what he saw.

Like they finally followed up on it. Because he turned out to be right. A little late. Yeah. But he was right. No, but the thing is like back in the day, shit like that was unimaginable. Like now we're all. suspicious, oh, that guy looks weird.

Oh, you know, you go to a movie theater and you're like looking at it everyone. It wasn't like that back in the day. Like shit like this didn't happen. Like, so you sounded crazy. And that's what I mean when I say. Like it's just literally after that day, like, yeah, like the world is, the country is just different ever like. And things that are possible now, like literally we're just not possible then.

Yeah. I saw someone say and this is really how it felt like when you were in the 90s and like and for everyone in the 90s. But I feel like we probably felt this way as much as we could. that like it felt like the end of history you know like like when you read your history textbooks it's like the end of the cold war you close the book like and conflict is solved um and then like after 9-11 it's like you know hotter than ever yeah and like i think that was a major shift for people in how they thought about how they thought about the world yeah it was it's a loss of innocence like really and like

belief that like, you know, that good will prevail. Like, it's just, it's, it's, it's such an, like, it's an unimaginable evil. Like, you can't even conjure up. Now we can, because now, like, whereas Americans, we're hardened and, like, we really see the worst in everyone and everything. Yeah. And it wasn't always like that. No, it, like, just set off, like, an evil period of time, I guess.

Yeah. And we're still in it. And we're still in it. Ugh. Well. So, we're thinking. of the victims and the families and any of anyone who is affected by 9-11. Like everyone has a story that like randomly connects them to 9-11.

Yeah. Oh, I've such a pet. So we will still do the show. We won't be like such a bummers all episode long. No, we'll still do the show like Paige Paul is in Architectural Digest like that. That does like, you know. That helps. That helps, I guess.

And there are things we want to talk about. Shifting gears. Slamu premiered yesterday. we haven't watched, but we're going to watch in time for a recap on Monday. We sort of like made that game plan and give you guys all the time to watch. Apparently it's only five episodes. Oh, well, I guess like it was a transitional time for the secret lives of the Mormon wives. So that makes sense.

And you know, I live for short content. So that works for me. I didn't start it yet. But yes, Jackie and I made a commitment. The official Salamah season, whatever this is, recap will be here on Monday in full. So everyone has the whole weekend to watch it. I did watch US Open semifinals. So we have our female.

US Open players final winners are set. Of course, Arena Sebelanka. Of course. And I forget the other girl's name. Rubikina, she beat Cocoa Gough that was like sad because everyone last night was like rooting for Coco like America, yada yada.

And um... Not to be. She lost. Not to be. And it's like the finals of the US Open is like the number one player versus the number two player. Like obviously I know that's how it works. It's like kind of boring. I think that never happened so.

It's always like some ups. Some upstart. Well, hopefully, I think people are thinking that's what's going to happen for men's with Ben Shelton. He's, I think, like, number eight or whatever. He's the upstart? He would be technically the underdog. So tonight- Number eight is not giving underdog.

Like, sometimes it's like a rookie. You know, playing Carlos Al-Garaz. Like a random guy. Yeah. I feel like tonight's going to be like so. So the men's semifinal is tonight. It's two Americans, Tiafo versus Ben Sheltin, like on 9-11 in New York. I feel like it's going to be like, I feel like it's going to be emotional night.

Yeah. For sure. That's the final game. No, no, semi-finals. But they're treating it like it's the finals because honestly, like, I don't know, he'll probably pay like the alleged woman beat her. Who's that? And it just won't hit the same.

Zverev. I don't know who that is. I can't remember if he's Belgian or German. The flags are so similar. U.S. Open reminded me yet again how few flags I know. I think that's okay. And don't ask me what the Russian flag looks like because all the Russian players, like, don't get flags.

They get a big black X. No, they get like a blue. square. So like literally if you ask what the Russian flag is, it's a blue square. It's actually red, white and blue stripes. No, that's France. No, no, no, that's America. The stripes going the other way. There's one with the stripes going vertical. Let me see. No, no. Stripes going vertical, red, white and blue is France. No, stripes going vertical, horizontal red, white, and blue is Russia. You lie. Oh my God. If you would have given me a thousand guesses, I never would have told you that's the flag.

Sort of like crushed it. Like I said, I know no flags. But I feel like it's a recent flag. I would say like I'm a Russian history expert. That's why I know it. But that's not been their flag. Like we know the Soviet flag. Oh, I guess that's why I don't know.

It's a kind of newer. It is newer. Do flags ever go through rebrands? Like if the country doesn't like obviously like change its name and stuff. Well, if we get another state, if we lose the state, we would get another star. Oh, we'd have to get rid of a star. Mm-hmm. But no, I, maybe other countries get like new flags, but I don't think.

You know my fun fact. about flags, right? No. There's no purple ever in a flag. That's not true. Because I did a crossword puzzle and it said like what country, it was like country with purple flag. No.

What I heard was that like you can't print purple on a flag. Like that was my fun fact. Are you sure? It appears in, um, Dominica and Nicaragua. Oh, but there's very little purple for Dominica, but Nicaragua is like all purple. Well, they obviously didn't follow. the rules because they're not supposed to according to my fun fact the crossword puzzle was with maroon and what was it i feel like it was like catar i know no class is it purple maroon yeah no i'm telling you

there's something okay maybe i have my fact like a little off but there's something with purple and flags that you're not supposed to do let's ask since we're here yeah since we're talking about it what's the rule with purple and flags i actually don't want you to google it because like maybe i'm making this up? No, let's see where it's coming from for you. Yeah, I might just be like misremembering. Yeah, you might just be. You're not seeing anything? Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California. I never learned. I never learned. Connecticut. And then like, no, I know like some of the hits, but I don't know. We're just gonna, we're gonna leave there. And I feel, I feel that is constantly affecting me. How so? I don't know. I just. I feel like because you play a lot of trivia and stuff. Just, I don't know. I think it's, I'm sure like subconsciously, I know all the states, but if I were to list them, like, I probably should do it in Patreon. And they get stuck on 49 or they think they get 50, but they have Florida twice. And I'm like, well, if you knew the song, like you could do it instantly. 1,000%. That would, I don't know this song all the way through. I feel like I could write down all 50 states. Do you not feel like.

It looks great, but it always looks great. The place looks great. Well, it always does. I come in and I'm so annoying. I'm like I need to look exactly the same, but we have to cut a lot of hair off. And then I'm like, but not that much. So I did, I cut three inches,

on it's a great question okay it's a great question cogey could have been you know any teammate well let's find out what team cam i think i was on the jets then he's on the steelers steelers still on the steelers still on the steelers i didn't know he was on a team yeah he's on the steelers okay and okay so iron's making friends on his team and he's giving him the team that's always good, by the way. Yes. So he talked about proposing to Shailene Woodley and what happened there. So he said that he proposed to Shailene and a week later she asked, like she said she had to go fuck someone else. In like a medical sense? She like had to? No. Like I don't know. He didn't give specifics.

Right. Because I'm thinking like casting couch. Oh, dark. Or like yachting, you know? I'm thinking that like perhaps they had some sort of open situation. Oh, maybe, but she said it like she had to go. Yeah.

Like that's a very, I don't know if he's like being intentional with his language. Yeah, she said yes when he proposed a couple days after that she tells me before we get married, I got to go fuck this guy. Oh, maybe it's like. Oh, oh, oh, okay. it's like sort of a last hurrah, you know, perhaps the one that got away, just get it out of your system. Yeah, that is sounding like that. It could be so many things. But initially I was like she has to go fucking for work or something. Oh my God. You going casting couch is extremely dark. I don't know.

Hollywood's a crazy town. Well, that's the other thing. And the fact that she said it to him like it's so normal. Like, got to go. As normal individuals ourselves, and I think our listeners can probably relate, like this sounds crazy. That's not what people do. But you have to understand. Like people in Hollywood are genuinely abnormal. And I think Shailene Woodley specifically is like probably on the more extreme end of like the crate, like just kind of quirky Hollywood things. So none of this really surprises me. And yeah, I'm choosing to see this as her like needing to get it out of her system one last time before she embarks on. And I don't know, it's not like she did it behind his back. Yeah. So he said she took off her ring in March 2021. We had a couple times where we tried to get reunited and nothing ever

happened. There wasn't even a relationship in 2022 to break off. She literally told me, I don't want to be with you after we tried some reconciliation in 2021. And then he talked about the fact that she had like given an interview, like saying that like the relationship like left her very depressed. And he sort of clapped back at that saying shy, you left me, you took the ring off. Her story is that I ruined her life and gave her crazy depression because I left her. What are we talking about me ruining your life? The fact that these two ever at one point

thought they were compatible is crazy because... Nobody thought they were more compatible than us. Yeah, but we were just sort of blinded by their friendship with Kelly and Miles Teller. Like, at their core... Right. At their core, like, she's this sort of earthy, isn't she one of those who gave up all of her material possessions

and he's this sort of like loudmouth football player? Seriously, what the fuck are they doing together? He is earthy, Claudia. And... He does have the... earth component. He does and he does ayahuasca and he sort of like like rage against the government. Like they there is a bend diagram there with a hearty center. Yeah, that's true. I guess just hindsight, the gift of hindsight, it's like obviously these two are never going to work out. But we we choose

to see the best in people like I think a lot of people thought we were crazy that we thought Kim and Pete were going to get married. It's like sorry we just choose to believe in love. Yeah, every time. And I won't apologize for that. And I don't. I don't. I don't. want to change that about myself. And I find that while not all of our predictions and opinions come to light, especially the unpopular ones, I find that these days, I feel even more comfortable in my unpopular opinions because more often than not, like, time is on our side. Time is on our side.

You know who I feel like recently we've been, like, vindicated on? No. Sophia Franklin. At the time, like, we weren't even, we didn't even take sides. we were just like, we weren't like gobbling up everything out. Every time Alex Cooper put something out, people were like, that's my girl, boss queen. Oh my God, she's everything.

And we were like, wait, this is kind of mean. Or like, wait, maybe Sophia does need more money. Like, we were just like, like, I think coming out of from a very rational place, which was sort of questioning, like, whether all of this was in good faith. And then like the suit guy stuff. And now everyone was like, yeah, that was bad. It's like, oh my God, you guys were eating that shit up. And we like took some heat for not being like up Alex Cooper's ass at the time.

And you know what? I feel that time has vindicated. us. I agree. That time is on our side. And I'm a patient person. Yeah. You know, I'll wait. Yeah, I feel that just a little bit of a prediction. I think that time will be on our side in due time. I think it'll be a while with Lindsay Clancy. Oh, for sure. I feel, oh my, that was a crazy thing from this 2001 live account. Yes. They were talking about Andrea Yates. I mean, they're also posting things that are topical to the future. It's not just about 9-11, by the way. It's just, it's crazy.

They do this account 25 years ago, and now they've hit the day of 9-11, 2001. So it's just getting extra eyeballs. But they also had posted Andrea Yates' legal defense team was mounting a defense of postpartum depression. And they posted the news clip and everything. And Andrea Yates was the woman who drowned her five kids in the bathtub who was hated by the entire country. And the idea that she would ever have sympathy or get off is ludicrous.

But she was trying to say the same thing. Those were the days, by the way, when we hated women who killed their children. That's how I know I'm not of this time. I'm not appreciated in my own time. That is very black and white to me, and I'm okay with that. 1,000 percent. Like the jury deliberated for like 45 minutes.

Yeah. Do you see that tweet that's like, that actually sums up? Wait, are you seeing the jurors? The jurors. Okay. So here's the thing is that everyone wants to chat with the one juror.

And I'm gathering that he doesn't want to go public, which is completely his right. That photo of him like has been leaked. Oh, I didn't see. Oh, I didn't see. he's just like a young guy. I won't give too many identifying details. And his anonymity after being like a civil servant is his right and it's his privilege.

So I'm getting the vibe that he's not going to speak out because like while half the country thinks he's a hero, half the country thinks he's like the devil. So we are hearing from like the sort of irrelevant jurors. And it's like, well, that's all fine and good. Because it's like OJ, what every single person on that juror ended up writing a bestselling novel. Like kind of being on a high profile jury is kind of a get out of jail free card. like you can end up making a lot of money and becoming famous. I don't think we're going to hear from him. Yeah, or maybe not immediately.

Who would want that? It's like you had to be a fucking juror because like it's your job. It's your requirement as a citizen. You guys don't like what I have to say. Now I have to explain myself. Like seriously, I wouldn't. Yeah. No, the jurors from what I've seen like really aren't helping themselves.

Not a compelling group. Not a compelling group. And they were like, we'd try and talk to him and he'd be scrolling on his phone. I can't believe they had their phones in deliberation. I don't want to talk to you either. No, did you see the one woman who was like, and this guy he just couldn't get over the fact that Lindsay Clancy viciously killed her children?

And she said it as if it was such an inconvenience. And it's like, well, yeah, you could. Yeah. So what you're saying is you could. Yeah, like that's an aside. He couldn't get over this fact in pursuit of these facts. And the thing is, like being a juror is seriously a thankless job. I don't know why anyone would come forward,

especially in a case like this. Like seriously, I did my job, my civic duty. Leave me alone. Yeah, unless, you know, he has an itch for the spotlight because he would have a lot of people on his side. He would become like a very polarizing political figure. Yeah. And there's an niche for that, you know? But I wouldn't.

Like seriously, I did my job. You guys like this, I believe what I believe, like leave me alone. Well, it just would depend like how my life is going otherwise. Like could I use a little jolt of success? Or do I have like a nice life and I want to keep it that way? I wouldn't change a thing. Right. Yeah.

So other things Aaron Rogers said. Oh, right. He also railed on Danica Patrick. Oh, I don't love that because I think that of all of his lady loves, like she had him and her, like she's the one that got away. No, he said I dated Danica. She had just retired. She was depressed and not fun to be around.

But I didn't leave her because I was trying to be there and be a good partner. Then it was going a certain direction, obviously. There was no intimacy. There was nothing. Oh, my God. Oh my God. I actually really like hate this. He's like, I don't know what like truth.

He just woke up and chose violence. Yeah, he really did. He said, and I'm buying a house in Malibu and she goes, would you want to buy it together? And I said, no. Oh my God. He's literally the devil. And he said, so she tells a story that I was so blindsided by getting left by you

and he leaves a trail of blood around. I'm like, what are you talking about? That's not what happened by any means. She had called him emotionally abusive, adding that the relationship. wore her down to nothing, said he leaves a trail of blood. And he was like, no. And he's saying pretty much with Danica, there's her story, trail of blood, blindsided.

There's zero intimacy, didn't want to buy a house. There's really nothing there. Then I date Shalene. And again, I feel like this needs to be told because there's just narratives out there, which, by the way, forever, what people hit me on all the time was he's such a fucking asshole. Even his family hates him. Well, he's not helping the allegations against him.

There's an interesting tidbit in this interview that I think explains like why all of his girlfriends are like running away crying. Well, but I don't understand he like sat down for this interview to sort of rebuke the asshole allegations and he's leading by being an asshole. Yes. So basically in here it also shares that he is married right now to a very private girl. Oh, right. He's married right now to a very private girl named Brittany.

But he apparently met Brittany in 2017 and she then moved to Europe. He said he was plagued by regrets of not begging her to stay or proposing, which sent him into a tailspin during his relationship with Danica. So the whole time between when he met Brittany and when he married Britney, I think he's hung up on Britney. So that would explain why Danica and Shalene and everyone felt like abandoned and depressed by their relationship with him because he wasn't there. I don't know.

I know he came on to dispel all those rumors, but like I believe them now. And he's like almost admitting to it being like, yeah, I was in love with another girl. So yeah, that will leave Danica depressed. Yes. And Shailene. That is emotionally abusive to stay in a relationship with someone when you're literally in love with someone else.

Yeah. So thanks for clearing all that up. Not in the way that you thought you did. Yeah. He's just mean. Like, Danica, she was depressed. Like, seriously, like, have less compassion. I know.

It's fucking crazy. It's a crazy interview. To me, though, the most shocking thing that he said is about Shaline. Like, that she asked to fuck someone else. Oh, the whole thing. Like, and I just want to say, I actually believe, like, that that did happen.

But just I think I need to hear from Shailene. Yeah, because I don't think that Aaron is a liar. I think that he's in Aaron's world and he sees things from like Aaron's perception and like he doesn't realize that his girlfriends are depressed and then like because of him and then they're like, oh, she's a bore. Like, but it's like you're doing the thing that's making her act that way. Yeah, he's like with this dark cloud. It's like, well, why is the cloud there?

Maybe it's because you're emotionally abusive and mean. Right. I'm in love with someone else. Right. What came first? The cloud or you? Right. So that's what's going on with Aaron Rogers.

He also talked a little bit about his family, that they are reconciled, that that was in part due to his wife, his new wife, encouraging him and just showing him the importance of, like, love and family. Lovely, lovely, lovely. So, yeah, Aaron Rogers decided to let it rip. It's crazy.

It's a banger. And I feel like that was sort of like a throwaway song from like the bottom of her catalog that she like gave to Tom Hanks. So I'm looking forward to like a well thought out country album 100% I believe that's what's happening Okay like great Sle. Do you think that she will win this category because she's attending? Like no even though CMA does give like the fake type of award whereas like if Taylor Swift shows up they're obviously going to give it to her

But I do think if she's going to announce the album, she has to win. so she can get her ass up there. She said he didn't even notice. So Brooks Nader isn't thinking twice about going topless in front of her father. As we all remember photos, paparazzi photos of Brooks on a yacht, topless. There are some things you don't forget. Those photos took the world by storm. Like we're always... As they should. No, but we're just on like Nader alerts.

Like everything Brooks does, every paparazzi photo, like we consume it. But those were like... Insane. Yeah. So on Thursday, Entertainment Tonight shared an interview with Brooksie, where she explained why her controversial swim isn't something that her family even thinks twice about.

She said, I had the time of my freaking life. I don't care if I'm not from Europe. I'm from Louisiana. She said... Like, okay. Next time somebody asked me why I did something, I'm just going to say, I'm from Louisiana. She said, I grew up in an all-girls household.

is like being able to disagree peacefully of course and Brooks is genuinely like never in her life going to convince me that this wasn't weird now I understand she has a duty to defend herself her family of course it's not working it's not working

I just I don't know what it's like to be Brooks Nader you know I do so I could see a world in which Brooks is well and if you watch the show like they really are like that Yes, and I also do think as a full-time model, and this is something I can speak to, like, from experience,

is you are very disconnected from your physical body. Like, it's not sexual, it's sort of like just there. you know, the way I think about this is so different from how Brooks thinks about it. Like, because I would be like, oh my God, how dare they take those photos of me? Like how do you're focused on the like invasion of privacy. Yeah. And the fact that that doesn't even cross my mind, she's like, we're having a ball. Like she's just like, she's free. And she's very free, like free spirit. And her and her sisters are constantly like, topless naked and running around.

And her parents are always there because they're like supportive parents that love them. So if they're always topless naked and they're always there, then they're going to be topless naked together. I saw the most annoying clip of Grace Ann Nader. She was like at some U.S. Open Suite and like the brand was like asking her questions. They were like, who do you think is going to go further on dance isn't with the star? Is Sarah Jane Nader or Brooks? And she just like is such a Brooks hater.

So of course she said Sarah Jane, even though literally like people are boycotting Sarah Jane because she's like, people don't know who she is. So it's like, well, I think Sarah Jane's going to go further because like she's not going to be less distracted. And it was just like such an annoying fucking thing to say, especially given the fact like what we now know about Gleb is like he's like he's, legit evil and he's not on the season. I don't know if he was fired. He should be fired like HR, Hulu, ABC. But it's like,

she's so annoying. Yeah, that's crazy. Like, if I'm Brooks and I see that, like I want to slap my sister. Like, you only have the U.S. open because of me, bitch. You could, I mean,

they do literally have those conversations and fight like that. I know. I love my favorite conversations. They move on and just continue to operate like that. But you could say like Sarah Jane's going to go further just because you're

trying to support Sarah Jane just be like, because like, you know, she's working really hard or she's really loves dance. Like, It was an annoying answer. Yeah.

If Grace Ann has no haters who also love her but hate her, you are dead. No. Who else hates her? I don't fall into that category of people who like hate her but also love her. I just hate her. I was just like trying to like soften it because that's like your mentor sister. Did I ever tell you guys that I was on the same flight as Grace Ann Nader? It was so awkward.

The thing is like I think she genuinely had no idea who I was, which I was. I'm grateful for. And it wasn't a commercial flight. It was like one of these like semi-private. So it was like literally 10 people on the plane. I actually wanted to be dead. Why? Because like you've talked to shit.

We had just recapped Love Thy Nader. And it's like I loved the show and I was always like just kind of like hating on Grace. And by the way, they set up the show like that. Like clearly Grace is like meant to be the villain. So sorry I was just like watching and recapping your show. But it was terrible. Like seriously terrible. Oh, I thought that like you felt like you love the Nader.

that includes grace. That includes grace. But that you like, but like you hate grace. She's my least favorite. So like there is. I don't hate anyone by the hate is a strong one. And I don't want to perpetuate hate.

I have the most criticisms of her as like a sister model and individual. Like she's your up. She's my app and like I never find anything like that she does to be redeemable. Like she's never like but I love Brooks. Like I just, I don't know. I feel like they all take from Brooks. But like of course they all give to Brooks. I just feel like she's like a taker.

The podcast, which was previously called Show Me Something, has been rebranded as no hesitation. Now, there was really never much interest in their podcast until Sophie Cunningham started to speak. Like she only recently became, at least to me, as not a WNBA, like, fan or watcher. She only recently became like sort of a figure in pop culture recently. It's because she's made some, she gives her takes on the whole trans athletes conversation, which is obviously very divisive.

She speaks very bluntly and matter of factly, just being like, I don't think it should be allowed. And I think a lot of people were talking about this. and people from my world were talking about it being like, well, what does this mean for West? Because West is like very progressive. I feel like he kind of uses his progressivism as like a shield a lot of the times. I being like, I can't hate women. I love women. My mom's an OBGYN.

And so a lot of us were like, oh, you know what? This dumb podcast you guys have had, which has literally made no sense. I'm kind of looking forward to the next episode. They have not released an episode since her statements. Like they have literally weren't never even spotted together. So a lot of people are like, Wes dropped her. She dropped West. I actually would have really liked to have listened to a podcast between the two of them.

But you should have had a debate. Bring back debates. Just because, like, you would disagree heavily with somebody on, like, a random certain topic. Doesn't mean you can't host a podcast together. For sure. For sure. The difference is that, like, he sort of went out there and, like, turned on her, you know? Well, that's the thing.

It's like, she decided to host a podcast with you when you were, like, literally, like, shit on the shoe of a hobo. Like you, she lifted you up. And that was before she was even considered controversial. She didn't make a video being like, you should never steal your friend's wife and boyfriend and your ex-girl. You know what I mean? Like she, we can all feel that she wouldn't agree with what he did. But like you just sort of like stand by your friend and say nothing really.

When things got tough for him. She was just there. She never like spoke out against him or anything like that. And nobody needed to know what West Wilson thinks about trans athletes in women's sports. we actually... And we could guess what he thinks. We actually need to know like what female athletes think about it. That's like the person that you want to hear from on the topic. No, but podcast is supposed to be interesting conversation.

And I think that like, yeah, these two people who are seemingly so fucking random. I don't even know how they got paired up together. I feel like for the first time ever. Like I actually would be interested to hear what these two would say. And it would be more respectable of him to like go on their podcast and be like, wow, you're in the news for having said this. You know, I really, I don't agree with that. And like, have a...

And like, call her out to her face. And have a conversation. but him like going and making a video about her that she can't respond to in real time. And he's just like using all these like wokeisms to make everyone feel good saying that this is not an, a non-existent issue. This is a real issue for her. So that's the first offense. You're going to say something that's an issue for me is not an issue.

I'm living it. You're not. No. And it's like it's so uninteresting to talk about. This is a person you literally made us listen to your episodes with for months. And it's like now's the first time ever where actually I think you two might have something worth hearing and he just makes a video. It's so cowardly.

It's so West. Like, what have we learned about him from this whole saga? He's literally the definition of a coward. Like, he can't have a conversation with someone. He can't be honest. He's a liar. So, like, yeah, this tracks.

But it would have been actually, like, a nice opportunity for civil discourse. Yeah, that would be cool because people, we're so polarized now that, like, two people who, like, fundamentally disagree about something. Like, they would never wind up. They have to part ways.

No, and they would never wind up in the same room or, like, on the same conversation in a meaningful way. You know, sometimes on the news they'll have like two people. Debates. And like no one can get a word in. But like actually, like the two friends sat down and like the way they always do, two podcasts hosts who disagree about something like try to like talk it out.

That would be interesting. Revolutionary. That's just like that's debate. That's good, healthy debate. Yeah, it's really lame that this ended like this shook out how it did. No, but it's not lame of her because let me tell you if someone did that to me. Well, we don't know. I guess, yeah.

We don't know what happened behind the scenes. But yeah, I guess. did make that video. He's just like so obsessed with like people's approval, which is crazy because he ended up doing something like because he wound up being the most hated man in America. Yeah. Like oops.

But like to take it to social media and the public like before your friend, especially like she decided to work with him publicly after he was the most hated man in America. Like that takes balls. Yeah. And also I just want to say like when Sophie Cunningham said what she said about the issue of trans athletes. It's like, I don't think anyone really needed to hear from West. What does West think about trans athletes, you know?

No, I want to know what West thinks about his cousin. Like, there's a lot of things I need to hear from Wes Wilson about. Yeah, but he's just like not relevant to the conversation. So for him to throw her under the bus, which is what he did, like, yeah, goodbye. She seems like she doesn't suffer any fools, you know. She's fine. Yeah. Let's dive into our final segment of the week.

Queenie and Weenie of the Week. Just a great way to wrap up the week. If you're new here every Friday, our very last segment is something we call Queenie and Ween of the Week. It's a childhood game we used to play that was borderline traumatizing, but we've taken our power back. Now we can traumatize others with it. Yes.

Queenie and Ween of the Week, who acted like a Queenie this week and who acted like a weedy this week. We'll start with Queenie. Yes, my Queenie is very obvious. It is Alex Earle and her family. It is the Earl family. They put on a jolly good show. really.

You see her on the Tonight Show last night? I saw that she was on it, but I didn't. Jimmy Fallon. But I didn't see. With Matthew McConaughey. Oh, cute. The show exceeded my expectations. I think they've got what it takes.

And I am really proud of them. And she's just been like really a joy to follow as a pop culture commentator. I enjoy Alex Earle on the radar. She was also in the mix for me for Queenie because it was definitely her week. The show was great. She's carried herself with such grace. Sometimes a lot of people like force their families onto us like when they're becoming famous. And it's like, you know, we are all set.

But I think the way that they've done it has been like very organic. I totally agree. But actually she's not my queenie. My queen is somebody who went through so much this week and like is sort of facing adversity. Great feeling. In a beautiful way. Romeo. And that's Romeo.

Yeah. And he provided us with so much content. Like people were cracking up. Like when I saw the picture, I'm like, are other people going to think this is as funny as I think it is? And it turns out that they do. So Romeo, he gave us content. He gave us engagement. And for that, we have to respect the king.

Rowe self and row ears. Exactly. Yeah. And row back. Now, my weenie of the week is a little delayed. Yeah, row back. My ween of the week is a little delayed because we weren't able to give this individual weenie of the week when it happened. So I'm going like posthumously giving this to Prince Harry and Megan Markle.

It's true. They haven't been anointed yet. And I know they think that they got away with moving. when they did so that they wouldn't be weenie of the week. But the official Megan Markle, Prince Harry Watchdog podcast, let's sleeping, no sleeping dogs lie. Yeah. That is beautiful.

I'm glad that you brought that up because honestly, it slipped for me. It would have slipped. I was going to give it to the Bierman family. Oh. But see, because I was thinking like family and family. And I know crimes.

We always say, like if you have done something criminal, you're not a we need to be. Of course, because it minimizes. It would be Lindsay Clancy. Would be the we need of a week. Right, right. it minimizes what you've done by, like, calling you a weenie. Okay, but no, but you're right, because Megan and Harry need to be weenie of the week due to.

There's so many parts of it that make it weird. Due to the we need nature of what they did and. The return, Charles's statement, like, every part of it gets them the nomination. I keep seeing, like, these clips. And I'm actually seeing it from both, like, hater accounts and fan accounts. Like, I'll see, like, Megan fan accounts post clips of her from, like, their docucese or whatever, being, like, what a queen. But, like, I'm just watching the clip. it's really crazy.

Like the, I'm sure you've seen the curtsy clip. Oh, yes, a lot of footage from, I saw the Beyonce texted me one. I just saw that one, but I saw it from a positive content creator who was like,

how sweet their friendship is. But like, no, the curtsy was so rude. Yeah, I saw a scene where like, she's sort of railing on William because I guess.

Yeah, I saw that too. That's your brother. She's like, I'm not going to say anything because that's your brother, but like, you're saying something. And like, sure,

talk shit about your brother, sure, but not on camera. Yeah. Like, because I guess like William's aide put something out and that's William, you know. Yeah, I saw that clip too. The clips are not aging well. It's all I'll say. No, no.

And that's something I feel joyful about you speaking of time vindicating us. When that came out, I feel we've also been vindicated about Meg Markel. Yeah. People were like eating her shit up and we were like, don't you feel? like you should keep your shit private. Right. And I'm, you know, and people are like, you guys are so evil. I'm team queenie. I'm team, like keep your private business private. Seriously. But I'm a queenie stand. So. Of course. That's where I stay.

Like her naming the daughter Lilibate after like seriously destroying the queen's reputation. The queen's final years. Yeah. Yeah. It's insane. I love that. That's our show.
