Starting point is 00:00:09 It's Jackson Clod and neighbor show the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off, swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Tuesday that feels like a Monday because it is the start of something new. That's right. Fall is here. The toast returns. Summer break ends and Jackson Clot are back in their bi-coastal transatlantic pink frame setup. Hey, Jax, how you darn? Dern. I'm Dern amazing. I seriously missed the toast so. much. I did too, but more specifically, like I missed this toast. I missed, let me get specific. I missed this toast. I missed this chair. I miss this set. I missed the swirly vibes. I love Swirley
Starting point is 00:00:55 summer, but Sianara Swerly Summer. Like seriously, Sianara. Hello. See you never. Spurly Summer. Hello, Pargy Fall. We have so much to discuss. I'm bursting. I do not know how people watch television and don't have a podcast. I know. You guys are the heroes. it with their friends. You just keep your opinions to yourself? No, I think they like make TikToks and perhaps chat with friends, both IRL and digitally. Yeah, but I'm talking about the people who
Starting point is 00:01:23 don't make TikToks because they are, they have that outlet like we need a place to share their thoughts. We haven't even even, and just this goes without saying if you're a member of the DTQ like we will see you tomorrow like DTFN, TOTF for now. We haven't even discussed offline, what are we talking about today? If you're
Starting point is 00:01:39 looking for like in-depth analysis on Hayden Panettiere, Dali part in all like the big news that happened over the course. My recap of Devil Wars Prada too. We did two pop culture episodes on our Patreon. John Galliano. If you really want to know our thoughts with John Gagliano. And we did good John Gagliano content.
Starting point is 00:01:54 We did. We did really good. That's on Patreon. There are only a couple of subjects that we will be talking about again today. Megxit return. Of course. I don't care. Actually, I did say it would be the first story no matter what happened in the world.
Starting point is 00:02:08 But Alex is the first story. Of course she is. the second story. I'll tell you what the stories are, just to like tease everyone. But also like... I know we have Dancing with the Stars. That's something we haven't covered yet.
Starting point is 00:02:18 Yes, Dancing with the Stars cast. This Elizabeth Holmes documentary that just like broke the internet yesterday. Everybody cares so much so I felt like we had to. You can skip that one if there's something else. Then Love Island Reunion. We must discuss us. Oh, I watch.
Starting point is 00:02:32 And K.J. Bierman and his sodomy charges. So I wanted to make sure that Biermans were on the docket because while we are the official Megan and Harry Watchdog Podcast, for many years we were the Bierman Zolsiac Watchdog podcast and I have a lot to say so I'm glad that we have that. And then also dancing with the stars. We have dancing with the stars. Yeah, but you said that.
Starting point is 00:02:51 So we're covered. And then also anything else that comes up along the way. Like it's a loose fast five. It's really just like everything that we need to discuss the major things. Where does Alex Earl like fall into the first five? Number one story. Oh, okay. Earl meets world recap.
Starting point is 00:03:07 Everything that has happened with Alex Earl since we last spoke is our number one story. she's the number one girl of the moment. That was probably the hardest part of break. Was there being so much Alex Earle news when I consider myself the official Alex Earl watchdog influence her? However, the show came out on Friday. So like we would only be talking about it today anyway and it gave us enough time to watch.
Starting point is 00:03:26 So, but like the name on everybody's lips is Alex Earl. And it's kind of like a divisive polarizing show. Like people are really split about it. So I've been trying to see what other people think about the show. There's not a lot of places for me to do that since I'm not on TikTok. So I just have to sort of. And even on TikTok. I'm like, wait for it to come my way on reels.
Starting point is 00:03:44 She's so beloved. And I love the show. But like, she's so beloved on TikTok, people being like, give me season two now. And it's like, I'm actually looking for like critical, like, thought. I want to hear what people actually think, not just like blind loyalty. And I feel like I've actually gotten quite a bit of that. I want to save my thoughts because I think we feel like a little bit differently. I will discuss it with you in the first story.
Starting point is 00:04:07 How about that? Okay. That's going to be really hard. But in the meantime, what's going on with you? You, Turtle Lou. Back in the city. Summer in the Hamptons is over. I'm so ready to get back into my routine.
Starting point is 00:04:17 You know, like drinking my water and going to work. It's good for the soul. Yes. Yes. I was not drinking my water in the Hamptons. I was doing pretty good, but I crave routine. I love doing the show. And I really missed everyone and everything.
Starting point is 00:04:33 And it starts to get like a little worrisome when you're not working for a while. I'm like, am I? And I also like, I'm in the new house. I've got bills. I'm like, bitch, get back to work. Yeah, I agree. Whenever we go on break, a time comes where I'm like, I do need to start generating revenue.
Starting point is 00:04:49 And I did a little TikTok get ready with me. So apologies if you've seen me already talking about this on TikTok because I'm so big on TikTok. I do like going on break for multiple reasons. Obviously, you know, not having to set an alarm, even though I wake up at six every day is ideal. But I do feel like sometimes we get to points where it's like we're on the verge of getting like stale. And people like, I can always sense. in the comments, like when shit turns snarky, I'm like, you know what? I need everyone to miss me a little bit. I feel like I was getting a lot of hate and swirly summer.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Maybe it's because I just looked so ugly. Yeah. That it's like easy to hate an ugly person, of course, even though I would have loved some like sympathy. Now that I'm back to being gorgeous, like I'm ready for people to start liking me again. Yes. Yeah, you do reach a point of like potential burnout. So always good to have time off. But now like I do feel sufficiently ready.
Starting point is 00:05:34 And yes, I shared this on the Patreon, but I guess if you're not a Patreon, you're like, you know, how's what? I moved over the break. I am in a new. new house. I'm so excited. So that's really what I've been doing the last two weeks. And so even though we've been on break from work, honestly, the break couldn't have come at a better time because I don't know how I could have like done everything done all of it. Yeah. And working. So I have just been like tirelessly working on the new house decorating, unpacking everything. It's been so much fun. It's like, it's so exciting. Change is so exciting. I couldn't agree less. I know, I know. But I'm excited to like share
Starting point is 00:06:06 more like house stuff and everything. But I've just been getting everything in order. order. Yeah, we needed the break. I know everyone was really upset, which I loved, loved, loved to see people just like having miserable time without us. But we needed the break for the mind, body, soul. Yeah, she needed to move. Yeah, I needed to lay down. Like, we had to do what we had to do. We had to do. But now we're back. And just something that's going on with me that I, I want to share with everyone also because I'm asking for medical advice is I have had a teary eyes for the last two weeks since I got back to Florida. And you'll see the whole episode. I'm going to be wiping tears from my eye. I'm not upset. She's obviously emotional. I'm not upset. I have constant
Starting point is 00:06:47 watery, teary eyes. I've tried eyedrops. I thought it was allergies. I tried Zyrtec, which made me feel like shit, so I'm not taking that anymore. And have you tried a doctor? No, that's next. Okay. That will be next, like an optometrist, but people say, like, it might be like the dry conditions here. I don't know what it is. It's so inconvenient all day. And now I have, like, dryness under my eye from constantly this. And my makeup's a little botchy and, um, I'm sort of like going through it physically. Sometimes I get that with one nostril. Like it just leaks all day.
Starting point is 00:07:17 It's so fucking annoying. Yeah, but that would be, you know, you have a runny nose. Yeah, but it's only one nostril. No, it's both eyes, but one is definitely worse. What does a runny eye entail? And sometimes that could be sick, but it's not sick. I don't know. Maybe it's a physical manifestation of how much you miss me.
Starting point is 00:07:34 It is. Or like someone suggested it to me like it could be like my repressed emotions. Oh my God. think the type of doctor you need to go to is a psychologist. A therapist. Yeah. Work through that. No, I'm, I, maybe you can make that case at another point in time, but like, I'm thrilled
Starting point is 00:07:52 to bits. The toast is back. Maybe like the, oh, so first, that was my first theory. Like the paint or whatever. I'm allergic to my new house, the paint and the fumes and the dust. I got air purifiers in every room. We had HVAC come out and chat. Shebti said to me, like, if you spend a few hours outside of the house and it's like
Starting point is 00:08:07 better in those hours, then it's the house. And it's not better in those hours. so it's not the house. I'm not allergic to my house, thankfully. Chat GBT GBT is like really taking over. I went to a bakery. Yeah, that's right, because they had frozen yogurt. And they had like all these menus. It's a new bakery. So like they had like lots of signage. And like you could just tell it was all made on chat GBT. Like it has that chat gina se qua. Everything does. Every flyer. Yeah. It's so cheap. Like it kind of makes me like never wanting to use chat again. Everything is like so clearly chat. I actually feel like
Starting point is 00:08:38 you could tell I had a good summer because like I didn't really use chat GPT a lot. Oh. Like in the spring, in the spring I was chatting with chat every minute, every day, just like a million questions. And I feel like it's like sort of like I've left my therapist. Like I just didn't really need you. And by the way, speaking of something, we haven't even discussed. The New Year is upon us, my sister. Rosh Hashanah.
Starting point is 00:09:04 And Yom Kee Port. Yes. So as you guys know. thankfully this worked out really nicely for the toasters. Rosh Hashanah is this week. It's actually this weekend. So there's no days off from the toast. Don't worry.
Starting point is 00:09:15 It's literally Friday, Saturday, Sunday. And then Yom Kippor is a short, like 10 days later. So just know, like, while you guys are out here living your best life, like we are suffering. Yeah. But first we celebrate the new year, the Jewish New Year is Rosh Hashanah. That's this weekend, really snuck up on us. But it's kind of the perfect time because today does feel like a new year, like a Jan 1. Everyone's back at work.
Starting point is 00:09:35 The summer's over. Like we're transitioning to fall. I'm wearing my cashmere pants. even though it's 80 degrees outside, it does have that new year, new me, resolutionary vibe. Yes, it really does. What are your resolutions?
Starting point is 00:09:47 Such a good question. And as you know, I don't really believe in resolutions because I'm constantly working on myself and I don't need like... I completely agree. It's not like I lay dormant. It's not like my issues lay dormant
Starting point is 00:09:58 and I wasn't faster till Jan 1. If I'm being serious for the Jewish New Year, I feel that, as you guys know, for the last... I haven't even really bragged about it and I think that I should. Like, I've become like a little bit more, you know, observant. I've stopped using my phone on the Sabbath and I've really been enjoying it. I'd like to
Starting point is 00:10:14 continue in that upward direction, you know, maybe take on some new, some new observancies. Hmm. You know? That's beautiful. Yeah. Always just walking hand in hand with the Lord. Yeah. That's beautiful. That's one of my resolutions. What about you? That's beautiful, Codriel. Um, what would be my, I guess different from a Jan 1 resolution. I would say. Yeah, Jack 1 is like more mindful wellness where I feel that like spiritually in the inner work can start on the Jewish New Year. You know what? This was something I felt before the summer and I feel like it'll come back now that I'm home because like just summer scheduling was different.
Starting point is 00:10:51 But it's just like this this wanting to feel present. Like I feel like like just everything is flying by. I know. Like you just got to slipping like you just want to hold on to it. Slipping through my fingers all the time. And actually something that I was thinking about doing that, um, then I saw Liz Wood's actually said the same thing. So it's obviously a very like real feeling of just like wanting to remember all of this
Starting point is 00:11:17 and like enjoy it and and process it is journaling. I think that if I started journaling and just like at the end of the day or every few days, just like wrote down like what happened, little milestones that were reached by the kids and just like how I felt and what we're doing. Like I feel like it would help me like process within myself that these things happen today. So I'm actually going to send you a link because I got the. this baby book that somebody recommended. I wasn't sure what a baby book was.
Starting point is 00:11:42 And what showed up, first of all, it's so cute. Like the outside, it has like whatever the name and it's all stitch. And then inside, it's like literally a journal. And I didn't realize it's like the first five years. So you're supposed to, I just thought it was supposed to be like pictures in the sonogram and just like of a baby. And I started to fill it out. And honestly, the questions were so in depth.
Starting point is 00:11:58 I was seriously like skipping them. They were like, and my mom felt blank. And I don't know. That's too much. No, no, no. But it's not. It actually sounds exactly like what you need because it's like year one. year two, year three, year four.
Starting point is 00:12:09 And it's just like things that you want to remember. And you can put pictures. It's really sweet. But it's like seriously for somebody who has so much time. Like I closed it on page three. I'm like at first it was like birth weight. Okay, seven pounds, two ounces. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Then they were asking me like and the first time I ate a snack. I was like, I don't know. I don't know. I'll check it out. But maybe not that, but just like something to just feel like, not like floating. Like, you know, through life. Grounded. Sounds like you need to meditate.
Starting point is 00:12:38 I don't. I guess it's a similar thing, but I feel like just for me, I'm, I'm, I'm, I think I would enjoy the process of writing. Would you say you're a writer girl? No. No, I wouldn't because I think that, that connotes, you know, that that is your profession. And, of course, she had a ghostwriter. Oh, God's. I actually don't think Carol Radswell has a ghostwriter. If anyone was wondering, like, my take on the situation. Yeah, no, I don't either. So anyways, I think just like working on being present,
Starting point is 00:13:04 and I think journaling is just like an easy fix for that, like very, you don't have to, Sorry. I can't. But I know you're so anti. I can't podcast and like own a business with somebody who journals. Sorry. And that's not like a threat or like a negative thing to people who do journal. As you guys know, like it's just not.
Starting point is 00:13:20 I actually think if anybody in the world needs to journal, it's you. Really? Yeah. Like you can't. I actually disagree. Anything. Oh, sure. For the memory of it all for sure.
Starting point is 00:13:30 But I think that like it's an expression of feelings. And I feel as though I'm extremely expressive. Like I have many outlets to express. Of course my podcast. I have many like important relationships. relationships in my life where I feel comfortable to share those emotions. For me, it's not about expression of feelings. It's about like...
Starting point is 00:13:45 Yours is more of like a time capsule. Yes. Yes. But also like in the moment, like I think just writing it down, even if I never read it, just writing it down will make it like... Except journals are like often admissible in court. Do you know what I mean? Like Lindsay Clancy's notes.
Starting point is 00:14:04 Did she have notes? And then they were just talking about Fauci's journal. Like it's humiliating. Like those are your innermost thoughts. And for some reason, they're like allowed to be used as evidence. I'm not doing it. And to be honest,
Starting point is 00:14:14 no, that's reason enough for me to just not be present in my own life. Right? I'm not doing it. It's like a physical, like no, it's my brain, buck off.
Starting point is 00:14:22 Honestly, it should be a protected class. Like, you should not be allowed to read someone's journal. Unless, unless the person... They confess to the crime. No, unless the person submits it. Like, here, read my journal. Yes.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Maybe that's what was happening. Prove my state of mind. No, like, I often find that journals are like being discussed in media. Nightmare. So like high profile cases, nightmare fuel. Nightmare fuel. So no, I will not be journaling. Yeah, that's what I say. I'm off the idea. TV is about to like ramp up. I think Rony is this week. I don't, I'm not going to watch it because anytime I've like gotten caught up in the new Roney, I like regret it. If there's a lot of chatter about it, I will pick it back up. Um, dancing with the stars. Yes. So I'm just, I'm excited to get back into my TV routine as well. Like my nights mean so
Starting point is 00:15:07 much to me now. Do you know what I mean? Like when the other night, Ben took a two-hour phone call at 8 o'clock and he gets in bed, I'm like, you don't understand? If we don't have our nights, we don't have anything. Like our nights are our shared time, our alone time. And yes, we just like watch TV, but like we're cracking up. We're communicating through the TV. Like, so would you say like all day you're looking forward to cracking up? No, I would say all day like I am cracking up. Oh, but you say that night you crack up. another thing going on in media that I just want to like put my um like stick my flag and I just want
Starting point is 00:15:41 everyone to know like I am watching the U.S. Open pretty much all day every day. I know everything that's going on. I really am obsessed with it. Are you familiar with like the discourse going on about the influencers? I heard about it. They were like with ring lights and yeah. And so I feel that there's a discussion to be had about like the behavior at the U.S. Open and it's all being pinned on the influencers which is not fair because people you know New Yorkers. It's like tennis is very international sport. So yeah, Wimbledon is like very classy. It's a quiet sport. We're American. It's just like, that's kind of anti-American. It's an anti-American. So I think that like a lot of the rowiness, especially like, it's a gray goose sponsored event. They say that like over a million
Starting point is 00:16:16 honey deuses get drank this entire tournament. So it's like, I think Americans are just having a hard time adjusting to the tennis culture and they're like pinning. And we can have a conversation about that. They're pinning it all on the influencers. It's like really sad. I don't think it's all their fault. I don't think it's all their fault. And of course, like I saw the girl with the ring light. Well, maybe that's. It's like the price of free tickets, you know, because everybody else there has paid for their ticket. And like, sure, you get to go for free, but everyone's going to be fine. If anything goes wrong.
Starting point is 00:16:43 It's your fault. I think that's like a fair trade. If anyone wants to know who I'm rooting for, like just in general, Paige Paul. No, he just got out. Oh, he did? Yeah, he played Alcaraz, which is just like not fair. I saw a couple of really good points from him, like on Rails and stuff. No, he played great.
Starting point is 00:17:00 He should be really proud of himself. Page looked amazing. I was tuning in mostly for her. And he lost to Alcraz. Like there's no shame in losing to the best player in the world, literally. For the men, I'm rooting for Ben Shelton, my boyfriend. Oh, and I just thought it's such an interesting fact.
Starting point is 00:17:13 He has a girlfriend, and they, like, can't get over it because he's, like, this young hot thing. They show her the entire time. And, of course, she's, like, a very accomplished women's soccer player. And then I found out her name is Trinity Rodman. Do you know who her dad is? Yeah, tennis Rodman's daughter. You knew that?
Starting point is 00:17:26 Yeah. Oh, I didn't know that. So, like, NEPO, but, like, not really. She says, like, they do not ever get a relationship. That's Nepo. I'm sorry. I want Ben Shelton to win, I just want to say. And I also found out that the number one player in the world, Zverev,
Starting point is 00:17:39 like he beats up his girlfriend all the time. So, and the tennis association won't do anything about it. So obviously not rooting for him. And actually in protest last night, I watched a women's match. And then I turned off. Like, I wanted them to know, like, you lost my rating. Yeah, they definitely saw that. When you put woman beaters on there.
Starting point is 00:17:53 Nielsen made a note. And then for the women, I'm rooting for Jess Pagula. Me too. Her parents own the Buffalo Bill. else. Like, she's a billionaire. And she could have just, like, coasted because if that's me, like, I'm not doing anything, like, obviously. Um, no, and she's, like, decided to do something that's like a meritocracy. Like, you have to be the best. You can't, like, nepo your way. Obviously, she grew up with great coaches or whatever. Um, and I just think that's cool. I think Cocoa
Starting point is 00:18:20 will win, but I'm happy for Jess Bull if she does too. So yeah, I'm just like, I'm so not like other girls. I know everything about sports. And if you want to talk about the U.S. Open, like, just know I'm, I'm available. That's great. Speaking of sports, we went to the Marlins game yesterday. I saw the Marlins played the Mets so it felt like the one we should go to the whole family was like split but we were also rooting for both you know like Mets shirts Marlin hats but you were wearing Mets I'm sorry like you you can't like you have to be wearing New York well we wore all the Mets gear that we owned and then we needed more gear and there was only Marlins gear to buy her purchase so we bought Marlins gear we really like were rooting for both you know I was happy when anytime someone scored it was really amazing the Miami Marlin Stadium is indoors and air condition. Heavenly. Air condition. It was cold.
Starting point is 00:19:08 I was chilly. Jackie, you need to go to a Savannah bananas game. Like, I think that your family would love that. But aren't they in Savannah? No, they travel. Like, they play other teams. Oh, when they play, like, the minor league Florida team? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:20 Yeah, we should. Do they do their bananas thing when they travel? That's a good question. Do they, does the other like stadiums have the acoustics and whatnot? Actually, I'm not sure about that, but I think so. I think so. Well, it was our first time taking the kids to a major league basketball, baseball game, and it was amazing.
Starting point is 00:19:40 I'm sure. And they had kosher hot dogs. So cute. Allies. Yeah. It was so much ally ship. Yeah. Allyship.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Allyship. And then the Mets. Like Mike Piazza wasn't there. Unfortunately, he was not playing. Mike Piazza. But actually, I think there are actually more Mets fans than Marlins fans in the stadium, honestly. Yeah, of course.
Starting point is 00:20:02 New York. It's all transplants. It really is. But it was a great day. Go Marlins. A baseball game is a nice way to spend the day, especially in an air-conditioned stadium. And it's cute that are Miami Marlins and the Miami Dolphins, you know?
Starting point is 00:20:16 Why? Because they're both fish. And then what about the Panthers? They're not involved in me? No, they're not. The Florida sharks, no. More marine life. Yeah, that's cute.
Starting point is 00:20:31 I don't know, Marlins. It's just like not giving cool. Yeah, they have some work to do in like the cool department. Don't you find like Marlin? And also if like you saw on the merch shop, like it's a mess. Like like the branding is a mess. Yeah, that's where I feel like New York has every other team be. They always do like they do like Kith collabs and Ralph Lauren like all their merch is like sick.
Starting point is 00:20:54 No and like they have so many different logos and colors and like the Marlin's color like should be that teal color. And they sort of like straight away from that. They have like a lot of like like 305 like. Like pink and black, like they don't know what they're doing. I hate pink and black as a color combo. No, me too. They need to bring in a branding expert. Other than that, we had an amazing time.
Starting point is 00:21:15 That's great. At Lone Depot Park. Loan Depot? Loan Depot. Loan Depot. L-O-A-N? Oh, like a bank? Yeah, where you could get a depot for loans.
Starting point is 00:21:26 It's giving like crypto.com arena. Some of these names are terrible. Honestly, Lone Depot Park makes crypto.com arena sound normal. Well, what's weird is that, like, when they came to, up with crypto.org arena we were all like what the heck is going now it's like not that crazy no i'm going to crypto arena like that's not weird loan depot is weird it's just weird when it replaces like a legacyed story it was the staple center like it's been in every movie like it's not going to catch on but also like does staples have any money no it's a sign of the times it is like staples in store shopping for school
Starting point is 00:21:59 supplies going over to crypto yeah now i think we should dive and we have so much i know i know i can only not talk about Alexar for so long. I know, but I can dilly and dally with you all day long, sister. Of course, and we have literally all day every day to dilly dally. Like, because the other dilly dallying is over. You know what I mean? Exactly. So without further, a do-da-d-do. It is time for the fast-size stories that you need to know. And the fast five stories that you need to know are brought to you by Starbucks. And the Starbucks Frappuccino drinks, which are a perfect delicious blend of indulgence and coffee that puts your day on the right track. You would recognize it the second you see it in the store. They've been around forever for a reason.

It's delicious. It's so good and they're available everywhere. So you can keep them at your office or if you work from home,

Starting point is 00:28:35 Terms and conditions may apply. Thank you, Tertz and conditions. Let's dive into Earl Meets World. Earl Meets World. Eight episode series dropped on Friday. Alex Earle is sharing her family, her feuds, her friends. So let's talk about it in stages. I want to talk about the show.
Starting point is 00:28:55 And then, of course, we have to talk about like Alex Hoover. Bits and Bob's, yeah. So the show was really not what I expected. And overall, I really enjoyed it. I love Alex. And I will say, probably my biggest takeaway was that like the family and the family dynamic is actually not at all what I thought. You guys know, people always say, like,
Starting point is 00:29:12 Claudia, stop talking about Ashley Dupree. Like, I can't. It is the craziest thing ever. And the fact that they have this blended family and that the mom is always with them. It's so beautiful. It's like not really what I thought it was. it actually makes me feel better. It's like a little bit more human
Starting point is 00:29:25 because, no, there's a lot of weird dynamics under the surface and on the surface. And even watching, I feel like they probably noticed things that maybe they have said that like the show was actually really good for their family communication. Because they're forced to like that conversation
Starting point is 00:29:38 that Alex and Ashley had in Aspen, they would have never had if there weren't cameras and they would have just like swept it under the rug and like kept on moving forward. Yeah. And I just feel like my opinion on a lot of people, before and after the show is so different. like Ashley I actually think for me and I've seen mixed reviews like her cue score went up for me
Starting point is 00:29:57 obviously like we what she did was bad like we can't even whatever but like hearing her talk about it just like being a young girl trying to like you could it humanized it a little bit um and I think that she's like ate a lot of shit for many years and then also my opinion of her dad is like he's not who I thought he was I know you had such like high expectations for him I thought he was like this real like protector and real genius and like the second he swooped in to start managing her, things got better. But she sat on the show and then she clarified again on TikTok that like he has managed her the whole time. So he was involved in the Alex Cooper deal and I've always thought that like whoever encouraged her to do the Alex Cooper deal like seriously is not smart. And it turns out
Starting point is 00:30:37 that was him. And then he made like a lot of like weird comments out like buying her boobs and seeing the girl's nude photos. And he's obviously just like kind of like weird like Jersey dad. Like I don't no, he's just not at all what I thought he was. He's not the man you thought he was. I'm sorry that that happened. I'm sorry that happened to him. But like, you did. I just feel like my opinion. And even Alex, like, I feel like I only know her from TikTok and social media. And she's like so as far as it looks to me like out there, right? Like almost extroverted and she's like snarky and she does like fun content and party. And the
Starting point is 00:31:07 girl we saw on the show was like so emotional and so serious and like really took her business so seriously. So I just feel like everything I thought I knew about the earls, even the mom. I thought, oh, the mom is so healed. The mom is so grown. No, she's just one of us. No, no, she's not over it. So I think my expectations going in were like a little bit different because I only follow Alex on Instagram and she doesn't share as much as she does on TikTok.
Starting point is 00:31:29 So who she was on the show was like really who I thought she was. And I just want to say, I thought the show was amazing. Amazing. And I watch a lot of reality TV. In fact, it's like the only thing I watch these days. And it has starting to feel like we've gotten to a place where people like don't know how to make reality TV anymore. Like every show like starts and stops and doesn't do what it's supposed to do.
Starting point is 00:31:51 And I thought this show was so great because it was like Alex and her family are just living their life and there's cameras. Like they're going to Aspen regardless if there's cameras or not, they're going to Wellington for Penelope's show. Like they're just, they do so many things. She's at a stage in her life where she's like right for a reality show because they're just so busy. And I feel like sometimes when people are like parents or whatever, like you're home all day.
Starting point is 00:32:12 There's not, we're not going out. And if we are, we're doing it like for the show. And what's funny is she actually went on therapist and she said she was like, for the next season, I actually might do it differently. Like this season, we just scheduled our lives and had cameras follow us. But like next season, I think I might carve out three months and like film. And I think that would be such a mistake. That's when you get to a place of like people are going on trips for the show,
Starting point is 00:32:33 going out to dinner and making parties like for the show and everything just feels like a fake world. Whereas I can't remember the last time we just like followed someone with cameras and she was just doing the same thing that she would do with. or without cameras. So that's so funny because I feel like one of my biggest criticisms of just the production was that like this is a girl who is invited to seriously like only the upper echelon coolest events ever. And I feel like we didn't really see that. We kept seeing her like recapping those events and like we saw her and Ashton go to fashion week and we didn't see them at one singular
Starting point is 00:33:04 party or fashion show. And I know obviously like getting your credentials to get your camera crew to the Chanel show is not easy. But like when they were in Paris and they just like walked through the park. Like, yes, and you said that to me. That was one of your criticisms. Like before I watched the episode and when I watched the episode, it didn't bother me at all. You want to know why? Because Paris wasn't a whole episode. It was 15 minutes within an episode.
Starting point is 00:33:27 And it's like, okay, so they showed us some of the social media content of them in Paris. And now they're in a park talking about it. And then we're moving on. Like other shows, they would make Paris a three episode arc. And that's what I liked about this. It's just like, we're moving, we're grooving. We're doing things. We're not like, it's not like the big trip to Wellington.
Starting point is 00:33:43 like everything just like was very fast-paced the way that her life is and I thought it was so enjoyable to watch because it felt like we're really just flies on the wall of her life. Yes, it just felt a lot of the times like they were recapping like the stuff, the viral stuff, like the things we would want to see behind the scenes. Like take us with you. Like I would like to go. I guess. But then I saw like they went to the club in Aspen.
Starting point is 00:34:06 Right. And that was like you saw that she could film there because that was palm tree and like that's her like she's in business with them. so obviously like they let her film. Yeah. And then I saw a girl had posted on TikTok like I was at Alex Earl filming at Snow Lodge, I think it was. And the amount of space that a camera crew takes up is a lot.
Starting point is 00:34:26 I don't expect that like parties and fashion shows are going to let them in. I think she did as good of a job as anyone could do like making us feel like we are there. There were so many things that I liked about the show. And again, I think it's like different expectations because I don't know her as well as you do. but like all the Braxton stuff felt so like heart felt. By the way. And so I was so surprised by her. I think the word people use for her is like she's so authentic.
Starting point is 00:34:50 She's so genuine. She's so relatable. And those things are true. But I also found her to be like so earnest. Jackie, like she got her to jump ahead. And the first thing she said is like, I know you guys are going to kill me.
Starting point is 00:35:00 But like in moments like this, I just like wish I could talk to Braxton. Like I actually felt so upset for her. Like first of all, that's such an honest thing to say. Like, and I know what she means. Like she wants like a partner.
Starting point is 00:35:11 Like, There's so much going on in her life, good and bad. And like, you need someone. Like, it's not that you need a man. It's like to share your life with someone the good parts and the hard parts is such a blessing. So to have that and then to go to not having it. Like, I totally understood what she was saying. I just couldn't believe she said it out loud.
Starting point is 00:35:23 Even with Rayal, like she wanted to share her wins with him too. And so the whole show, like, and most people would not put all of that on the show because they would, one, not want the other person to see it. You want to act like you're moved on and over it and cool. and two, like you, it's embarrassing to like always be talking about. And you think maybe it's even boring. Oh, everything that happens and I'm still talking about Baraxton. I found it to just be like so earnest and honest. And I don't think most people would do that in the final scene,
Starting point is 00:35:55 which I think has everyone shook. I was shook because the amount of maturity that it took for her to just call him up. And I think it's also confidence because she's so gorgeous that like, you could just call anyone and be like, I still like you. But just emotional maturity to be like, I still hold out hope that we could get back together. Like, can you tell me if that's possible? And she said it like with a straight face on camera,
Starting point is 00:36:19 bearing her heart and soul to the world. So I agree with you, like the honesty and the confidence that it takes. But the question she was asking was actually not mature. And it really pissed me off because like you literally said to him like, is it, oh, are you, I don't want to get back together right now. But is the possibility in the future basically being like, wait for me, because I think he's really ready to settle down and she's just not. And I found the question to be like really unfair to Braxton,
Starting point is 00:36:43 especially after like they didn't really show this so much in the show. But there was a lot in the press about like Alex being spotted with guys, the F1 driver, of course, Tom Brady. So it's like after putting Brackson through all of that, now you're asking like, can we get back together? But like only when I'm ready. I'm like not yet. I found that question actually annoying for Braxton.
Starting point is 00:36:59 I guess. No, but she's just like, I think for her, she needs this period of growth and self-discovery. and I think for her she hopes that once she grows into that person, like she can be with Braxton and it's like, you can grow into that person with Braxton. Should I? And she's just asking him like,
Starting point is 00:37:14 should I not even be thinking that? Like I think that's just very, maybe it's not a fair question to ask, but it's real. No, it's real, but it is unfair to Braxton. And it's like, should I forget you or should I be healing faster so that we do together? And by the way, I feel like the show was proof
Starting point is 00:37:30 that it's so much better to be broken up with than to be the person who broke up. because Braxton had really no choice but to move on. And I feel like he did and he just like picked himself up by his bootchaps. Whereas like Alex was sort of left with the questioning of like, was that the right decision? When it's out of your control, like you almost, you have no choice but to accept it. But when you were the one who did it, like you just go back over. And honestly, I would have so much rather have been Braxton in that situation than be Alex.
Starting point is 00:37:54 Yes, of course. And also like I'm really happy for Braxton because when him and Alex got together, like he was the butt of every joke for a period. Like what kind of mean? It's Braxton. and like when he left Sophia Colbo and started dating Alex Earl and no one thought he was good enough for her and like this show is just amazing for him.
Starting point is 00:38:09 Yeah, except like I love that they left us on the clip hanger of like oh well maybe they're together right now or whatever. And then over the weekend there was like some drama that pretty much like they're not together and like vibes are bad because he was spotted out with this girl Maggie who is the ex-girlfriend of the F1 driver that Alex was spotted out with in London
Starting point is 00:38:27 and she's like making snarky TikToks now like copying Alex honestly the girl. Magooie. The girl is so pretty. I don't know her. She's obviously like a European socialite. Like I don't know her. She's the prettiest girl I've ever seen in my life.
Starting point is 00:38:37 And it's weird to see somebody so cool and pretty, like acting like such a loser. Like, why are you coming for Alex Earl? Like going out with your ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend's ex-boyfriend is like such a jealous, like not cool thing to do. And she looks so cool to me. I know. But like, what if they're actually like a good match? Because I feel like Braxton is mature.
Starting point is 00:38:53 He's not just like doing petty stuff like this. And maybe like him and Magooie. Like if, and it's like if Alex likes Braxton and Alex likes Linden and Landa If A was being B gooey and Landa likes Alex, then Braxton would like McGuie. No, for sure. Like that's like Shania Twain, you know, when you swap husbands. Yes. She's so pretty.
Starting point is 00:39:11 I just like needs her to stop. Like the TikTok she made copying Alex. Like I did not like that. But also like even the scene in Aspen where she reads the Dumois citing about Braxton and Olivia Jane, like most people would not show that. They would not like. And the fact that Olivia Jade's just like name on the show. And Alex admitting that she has stalked every single person that Braxton has been spotted to talking to.
Starting point is 00:39:30 like it's just so honest. Yeah. And like almost like shameless in the way that you need to be shameless to be interesting on reality TV without exploiting yourself. And I don't feel like she did that. I agree. I think that what's commendable about the show is like they're obviously this family with like, not secrets, but like skeletons and just like embarrassing things.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Everyone has it. And I think that a lot of people in the spirit of becoming rich and famous would exploit all that. And because I think maybe they are independently wealthy, like they're not that desperate. So they're like, we'll make a show and we'll talk about stuff. But we're not willing to throw each other under the bus. We're not willing to exploit our family history.
Starting point is 00:40:12 And I feel like even the embarrassing parts, like, of course, TJ. You know what else really piss me off about TJ? Is that like all of this is his fault, right? He's the one. Yes, Ashley was young and she knew what she was... And then it's left for the women to clean about. She knew what she was doing was wrong. But like he was the one who was married with kids.
Starting point is 00:40:25 Like this whole thing, this whole dynamic is 100... 99.9%. T.J.'s fault, 1% Ashley's fault. And all they're infighting, all the interpersonal issues are his fault. And he's like, well, you need to talk to Ashley. It's like, well, you need to talk to Ashley. Like, this is all his fault.
Starting point is 00:40:40 And he literally leaves the room for the girls to work it out. And I feel like one of the biggest issues in their dynamic is that, of course, I can never remember the mom's name. Alyssa, she does her best to, like, you know, be copacetic. And there's only so much she can do because the girls are so close with the stepkids. The kids. So she does what she can. but like anytime Ashton and Alex have a problem with Ashley, they go to their mom.
Starting point is 00:41:04 So of course, the mom who already has tons of reason to hate Ashley is now like, yeah, I hate her even more. But then I think the girls have this like really genuine relationship with Ashley. And they have a desire to work it out and they do work it out. And so Alyssa is just like standing left there with like the pile of problems. With only the hatred. They're also not going to go to her with the things that they like about Ashley because that's also offensive. And that's just the truth of the situation and that's real.
Starting point is 00:41:25 And so seeing it play out, it's like, oh, well, of course they're not like so harmonious. And you know what? I was relieved to see that they had issues because it wasn't when I, what I thought it was, it's not normal. It's not. It's not. I also think that Alex and this show and this family like because she comes from wealth,
Starting point is 00:41:45 I think that, you know, a lot of times and I feel like when I think about like the Dimmilio sisters or just like other shows and other like child stars who like bring their family up, it like becomes very unhealthy because it's like the minute you stop working, we're all screwed. If you get in trouble like, we could all be screwed even if it's like we take a trip you paid for the whole trip we're going to
Starting point is 00:42:04 kiss your ass because of course you paid for the trip i think the fact that it that her family has money and they could take this or not take it makes it just a much healthier dynamic because they're not like so desperate even when they went to wellington they're all staying in a house like i don't think alex paid for the house because if she had like it would just would have been all the conversations would the dynamic is different it's so different and i feel like people are comparing them to the Kardashians a lot which i think is a really good comparison i think i think Alex, like, is on, can be the next Kim. I really do. And I think a huge part of that is also the Kardashians had money. She was desperate to be famous, but not desperate on the balls of
Starting point is 00:42:40 her ass. It's true to pay her bills. And her whole family is like, go and sell yourself or else we're on the streets. And so I think watching them be on a show together just like be in this business together, there's just like a level of desperation that's not there. Agreed. That can sometimes be unhealthy for families. A thousand percent. Them being rich is like probably one of the best things to happen to them for a million reasons. When they took the private plane to Aspen, it's like, it's not, it's not for sure that Alex paid for that. No, I feel like Sip Morg's probably paid for it because that was like a big Sip Morg's event.
Starting point is 00:43:07 Yeah, I'm sure like someone paid for it, but it's not like everything, every house, every is on Alex. Alex paid for it's on her back. She feels like her family's indebted to her. They feel like they can't say anything to her because they can say to her. You know, no one's scared of her. No, no one's scared of her. I do feel like when it, when it comes to the Kardashian comparisons, like a lot of
Starting point is 00:43:26 of the siblings have lots of personalities, and I'm sure as they get older, like, maybe they'll continue to be like Kendall Kylie. Like Kendall and Kylie in the first season, we're just like, since, you know, little kids. Like, Kendall and Kylie are Isabel and Penelope. Penelope is the Kylie. Isabel's the Kendall. I feel that Ashton, like I just found some of her stuff a little boring, which isn't a crime. Yeah, you sort of ruined Ashton for me. I wasn't really noticing her. Well, I feel like they're trying to make it like Earl Girls, like the sisters, like it's really not the Alex show. I feel like Ashton had just as much screen time. as Alex did.
Starting point is 00:44:01 And I just found the scenes a little less compelling. Like, I want a model. Like, okay. But I love her. And I feel like the person I follow her. So, like, I feel like who she is online is, like, much more interesting. Maybe it's like a nerves thing or just like it's not translating. I just found a lot of it, like, boring.
Starting point is 00:44:17 Like the dating stuff. I don't know why I just found. Oh, yeah. She keeps saying the same thing. She's sort of just like Debbie Downer. I wasn't noticing her or minding her at all. And then, like, you, you made me notice and mind. And then also I watched a bit of therapist with Jake Shane
Starting point is 00:44:33 And I found her presence to be like really Disruptive to the episode honestly However, in searching for what people think about the show I'm seeing a lot of love for Ashton and I'm happy for her And I don't even like wanna say I didn't like her anything She's very Gen Z and like maybe that's just not us And like just the vibes are different And what's so funny is like I Alex is obviously like my favorite on the show
Starting point is 00:44:55 Because she's the star of the show And she's such a queen I could look at her all day But like weirdly I relate to ask Ashley, I'm an Ashley, a mother of three. And also Ashley, I really like Ashley. So do I. I think that's a very unpopular opinion because when I was seeing, I saw a lot of love for Ash and a lot of like dislike for Ashley.
Starting point is 00:45:12 And I was like impressed by Ashley. First of all, the way she navigates this dynamic is Queenie. I agree. Trying to blend a family of like people who hate her and like never giving up even when the girls are sticking toothpaste. Agreed. She is Meredith Blake grown up. No, I completely agree.
Starting point is 00:45:27 She for me had the most increase in a cute. score since watching. And then when it comes to like the things that she says and the advice that she gives the girls, I find her to be very sensible. It's the same sort of advice I would give personally. And maybe you disagree with Ashley and the things that she says it does. But personally, personally, I don't. I think her insistence that the girls care less about what people say.
Starting point is 00:45:50 Yeah. And continue to do what they think is right and not like live with this pressure and just like the weight of the world crashing down. Like that is my mentality as well. and I found she was a woman with good sense. Yeah. And I like a woman with good sense. I actually think that the girls can...
Starting point is 00:46:06 Aside from the things she did when she was funny. Of course. The things, I feel like the girls can sense that in her. And I think she really understands their world. Like she's also becoming like her own little influencer, but she's just younger. So I think she gets it. And I think the girls are actually like naturally attracted to her.
Starting point is 00:46:20 And that makes it like even more unfortunate for the mom. Because I feel like the mom sort of detached. Anytime they're having like conversations about business, unless it was the big Alex Cooper conversation at the end. But like, they go to. Ashley and T.J. And it's not just T.J. Like, Ashley's in the room. I think that they really respect her opinion, which I just think makes the dynamic even harder for the mom to, like, be involved. The dynamic is set up just not to benefit Alyssa. And that's so unfortunate
Starting point is 00:46:42 because she's the injured party. Yes. It's true. Ashley should be able to go on vacation with, after 17 years, with her whole family, including the stepkids, Ashton and Alex, and not have TJ and Alyssa come. But it's like, excuse me, those are my kids too. So it's just, it's really unfortunate for Alyssa. Yeah. Like you crashed this party. like this is your penance almost. Yeah. But it's also like, it's also Ashley's first time on earth. This is her family.
Starting point is 00:47:05 These are her children. Like she wants to, you know, have a somewhat of a, some normal family experiences. But I guess that's like what you get when you are with a married man. Correct. Overall, I think the show was great. And I think it was so good for Alex. Like I think she's a great role model. And I think now we can talk about Alex Cooper.
Starting point is 00:47:24 I think to see her like go through the Genesis when she said like, actually my heart broke in a million pieces when she was like, my kids are going to see that talking about. That was just like such a mature. She's only 25. Like such a mature thing to say. And I think that it's actually really good because obviously she's like sexy and whatever. But like I think that she as she's growing up is becoming a little bit more conscious of like her digital footprint.
Starting point is 00:47:43 And I think she's a really good role model for young girls. And yeah, like the honesty. Everything she showed us was just I think setting a really good example for young girls. Yeah. And so we can get into the Alex Cooper stuff. Now going into the show, everyone was like the show is going to be where she sets it all right. And it was funny to see how she sort of was like just like mad and kicking herself that the thing got so big. No, and by the way, everyone was like, Alex is being so strategic. So I love what
Starting point is 00:48:11 she's doing. There was no strategy. She was just like, should I not? Should I not? And the longer she didn't, it made it feel like there was this big thing coming. And at the end of the day, there's not a big thing. There's not a big story or anything. It's what we said, you know, it's a bad working relationship. It's, you know, two people who shouldn't have worked together, the dynamic never worked, and then personalities and clashes and insults and this and that, but not like one big thing. And what the fuck was Brianna Chicken Fry talking about? Like when she says it, like, it was everyone around her who was asking like, I'm Alex
Starting point is 00:48:43 Earl, I hate Brianna Chicken Fry. Yeah. So I, and this is what I always thought it was. So like, there's nothing that's like super shocking about it. I thought there was one really shocking piece of information, which was Zandra. And I love that they blurted her mouth, but you literally could. If you read lips, Zandra. Like it was so obvious.
Starting point is 00:49:01 And there's only one person. Oh, I didn't even read the lips. When she goes, she went to someone from college. She gets dirt on me. It's like, oh, Zandra, the girl from your college that you're like not super and I have to say, I have enormous respect for Zandra. Because Zandra gets a lot of shit online for the ending of her friendship with Alex Earl.
Starting point is 00:49:16 Nobody knows what happened. People come up with theories. They say that she sent a naked picture to Braxton. They say that she punched her in the tit. Like there are all these different rumors. And she just sort of lets that. And so you get an opportunity to like work with Alex Earle's number one op. And you not only ignore her, but you tell Alex Earle.
Starting point is 00:49:29 Earl about it. Like if I'm Alex Earl, I'm being a lot nicer to Zandra. Yeah, she is a real one. So what happened was, you know, the, the relationship at Unwell was not like right for Alex. She didn't get the support that she needed. It kicked started with the actual call her daddy episode where Alex felt really uncomfortable. Yes, I didn't realize that that, like, we knew that it was like uncomfortable and she asked her inappropriate questions, but I, the family didn't speak for three months because aside from the sex questions that happened at the end of the episode where they're like drinking all day. The beginning of the episode was like Alex's going back home childhood. They went back home. They did like a whole, you know, deep dive into this crazy story that was like so
Starting point is 00:50:05 scandalized. And I guess that was like Ashley said it was the hardest time of her life after Alex Earl went on and call her daddy. And to be honest, resurfaced all of this. Like net, when it comes to Licks versus Lex, like I'm hard, I think team Licks. But I felt like the family in that scene was being kind of unfair to Alex Cooper. It's like they were just putting a lot of their shit on this one interview and I don't even know what it was that Licks said in that interview that was so upsetting to the group because I thought she they talked about it so briefly and you could tell Alex was uncomfortable and it was just like we knew the story and she just kind of told it to us and she said it was hard for her like it wasn't that salacious so I think that al like maybe some like
Starting point is 00:50:46 you know online people knew that that that was her backstory but I the I don't think she's ever like told the story spoken about it like to the yeah so So it was putting that out there for the first time. And then I think also it's like so many people are like, well, don't be surprised that she asked like sex questions. It's the sex podcast. She was a fan of Alex Cooper. She said it was her idol.
Starting point is 00:51:09 The Glock, luck show. That's like what Dave Portnery said, which is a good point. Like, so she shouldn't have been so surprised by the sex questions. But it's like you don't get to ask like the sex questions and also do the like Meredith Vieira deep dive into the family. Like which podcast. I think that that's sort of emblematic of like Alex Cooper like and her.
Starting point is 00:51:27 her brand changing. When it's both, then you're just, when it's both, then you're just, like, exploiting every aspect of someone's personally. Yes. So on the one hand, what a lot of people are saying, and I agree with is, like, you said this is your idol, this is someone you love. Like, it's the Gluck Gluck Show. Like, why are we surprised that you're being asked if you're an anal virgin. And that's why I'm, like, so almost disappointed in your dad for letting you do this.
Starting point is 00:51:45 Like, you say he's this protector. And how can, but then on the other hand, it's not the Gluckluck Show. Just like, be a fucking human being. Stop asking a 21-year-old girl if she's an anal virgin. Like, that's disgusting. And predatory. It's not the Glocklock show. You didn't ask Kamala if she's an anal virgin.
Starting point is 00:52:01 You have to think of the time. You have to think of the time. She was still very much like in the process of transitioning. She set people on more seriously to talk about like their traumas and then like, okay. And then at the end she would be like, okay, let's get into sex. Are you an anal virgin? She was like slowly transitioning like the anal out of the show. I guess.
Starting point is 00:52:19 But it was a transitional period. But she had already like found it unwell because Alex Earl was a part of. She's a businesswoman. This isn't her bar stule era. This is, you know, what year is this 20, 23? I have no idea. But she had just graduated college, so maybe 22. 22.
Starting point is 00:52:38 Okay. I'm just saying, like, it's not, it is the Glock, like, show, and it's not. It was, I'm sorry, like it was. And there's also a major difference between talking about your own personal sex life and talking about someone else's. And I'm sorry, there's also just a difference when a girl who's younger than you who really looks up to you and who you're about to embark on a working journey with, asks you to take something out of the show that was sexual and made her uncomfortable and you
Starting point is 00:53:03 don't do it. Sorry, you're in the wrong. I don't care what the brand of your show is. She asked you to take it out and you didn't. You're like, it's funny. Like, that's just, that is predatory behavior and that's just such a bad way to start a working relationship with someone who you want to have a good relationship with. Alex was doing all these unwell events and really using Alex Earle's clout to, like, sell
Starting point is 00:53:23 tickets and get people to show up. And that's what Alex Earl was saying, like, I felt used. like she didn't look after me in the way that I thought she would. And it's like, yeah, she was gluck, gluck, but she was also like this girl boss, girl boss, girl boss, and you would expect like your girl boss to look out for you. Yeah. So that relationship goes south when Alex Oro wants to stop doing the podcast and
Starting point is 00:53:42 She found out via the media that she was dropped. Yeah. She talked about it like more on Jake Shane, why she, like the podcast was not right for her. And it was actually, she made like some really good points. And she was like, Jake doesn't feel this way because it's different. But like I just felt empty. like I was exploiting every single aspect of my personal life. For stories, for T, she said, Alex Cooper even suggested that she not, like, get a boyfriend and date Braxton so that she would have, like, more to share on the show about her dating life and her sex life.
Starting point is 00:54:09 And she was like, dating life, yeah, I'll share. But sex life, no, I'm not sharing that. So, like, that's a very clear, obvious line for her. So, so also she's, she's like carting around all of this equipment to Europe and everywhere. And then she goes on Jake Shane show and she sees he as a producer. She's like, who's that? She's talking to Josh Richards and Gads. in Europe. This is what she said on therapist.
Starting point is 00:54:28 And they're like, wait, why are you screwing in the microphones yourself? Like, where is your help? And so she had no help, no support. She's hating doing this. She feels empty. She's running on zero. And so she doesn't want to do the show anymore. And I think it was a little bit of a back and forth about getting her show back.
Starting point is 00:54:42 Well, that was interesting what she said on therapist. Because I remember when Alex was, Alex Cooper was responding to comments being like, Alex owns her IP. She can do whatever she wants it. And Alex Earl was like, I didn't. And then the next morning they gave it to me. Like just very manipulative. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:54 Or it's like she did own it. But like they. had some sort of keys to it that once, you know, it was over, then they gave it back. So it ended badly. They should have never worked together, period. But like, I think a lot of the signs were there for Alex Earl. You can, I can fault both of them, honestly. It used to be like, oh, neither of them could be wrong.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Now I'm like, you're both wrong. Yeah, a thousand percent. You're both wrong. Alex Earl is wrong for going there. Alex Earl is naive. And she should have had better people working for and with her. And she said that too. She said, we have the same people working for us, I think, in terms of like managers and
Starting point is 00:55:24 agents. so it's like I didn't want to make it weird. And I just felt like everybody was like telling me to do the right thing. So she's not even, and made poor decision making in business. And Alex Cooper is just not, she just didn't protect Alex. And the thing is, is that all of this has caused so much trouble for Alex Cooper. I think it's really affected her overall likeness very poorly. And I think that she should have, the way that I see it is that she went into business with Alex Earle
Starting point is 00:55:53 because she needed to have Alex Earl on the show. Like it was becoming so back then she was not doing Katie Couric, you know? She was doing like internet, internet and Alex Earl was like the biggest thing on the internet and she's so Alex Cooper like, why are you having her on the show? And it's because, you know, a younger you, it's threatening and so it wasn't until
Starting point is 00:56:09 that she could financially benefit from it that she had her on. And you know what? She should have just had her on the show. It's one fucking episode and she would have avoided all this trouble. Because now everyone's looking. Alex Cooper's crime is like she is a savage
Starting point is 00:56:23 businesswoman. She's not here to mentor you. She's not here to hold your hand. She is here to do business. And business and personal, they're separate. And so that's her crime. And Alex Earle's crime is that she was naive and she was also blind. Like what Alex Cooper did to Sophia, she did in broad daylight. Let's talk about the blindness.
Starting point is 00:56:40 Like, so and her tea and her and her dad and the people who work for both of them. It was no secret that this was a big sex show and this was no secret that this is a person who was willing to throw her best friend under the bus for business. So you think she's going to protect you? She's on you for five minutes, and you are threats to her. And I still think Alex Earl is not mad enough at the people who work for both of them. Not, no, her dad, her dad, separate. The people who work for both of them, she's still even after unwell south deal went south.
Starting point is 00:57:09 By the way, they shared the same agent up until last week, and that's because Alex Cooper left the agency. Right. Right. So even when the unwell thing went south, Alex Earle said she didn't like talk about it. She didn't do like a big story tea time because they have a lot of people in common. She has said she is scared of. Alex Cooper people have told her to be scared of her. Alex Cooper has said be scared of me.
Starting point is 00:57:27 And so she just like sort of moved on and didn't say anything. But it was obvious to everyone that something weird happened. And she would like like stuff and repose. Then I think like, you know, some months go by and she gets a little brave and she sees people on the internet like talking shit about the person that she hates. So she likes a little bit here and there. It's very empowering when you see people talking negatively about the person that you hate. Right.
Starting point is 00:57:49 So she starts to just engage a little bit and like just. drop breadcrumbs, not with the thought of like one day I'm going to tell the whole story, but like, oh yeah, I do like that. I do agree with that. Like, like, like, like, like, which is why I found when Alex Cooper was like, just say it, that was such a sleigh because there is nothing to just say. It's vibes and it's bad dealings. But she really put her on the spot.
Starting point is 00:58:16 And that's why it was like, I thought when Alex Cooper made that Coachella video, people thought it was like crazy and like, what is she doing? It's like, no, she's really like forcing this girl to like, like, you know, she's making this bigger than it is. Wait, we also have to talk about Harry Jousie getting involved. And to be honest, I actually feel like that was really bad for Alex Cooper. And if I'm Alex Cooper, I'm annoyed at Harry Joussey. Because Harry Joussey took a screenshot of that text message that Alex shared on the show that she had sent to Alex Cooper. And she didn't send it.
Starting point is 00:58:42 Oh, she didn't? No. She never said on the show that she sent it. Okay. I didn't think it was a good text. I'm glad to hear that. Because also Dave asked Alex Cooper, he did a tea by the track. and he asked Alex Cooper if she ever got that text and she said no.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Got it. Okay. So, Harry Jousy. There were a lot of things she almost did. Apparently she made a video at Coachella, like a, you know, a response video. She should have just posted it. And then in hindsight, she wished that she had posted it. Even though I feel that a lot of people tuned into the show, Earl Meets World,
Starting point is 00:59:11 for this Alex Cooper drama. And I think Net Net Net, it really benefited her. And I think it was sort of, it bookended the entire first episode and last episode. So she kind of needed it. So I'm actually glad that she did it the way that she did because I think it made the show a lot better. But Harry Jousy just sort of said like, this is not fair. You're coming for a pregnant woman. She's about to give birth.
Starting point is 00:59:28 And it's like, well, I actually agree with Harry Joussey. pregnant women are off limits. But Alex Cooper literally started this and she was pregnant. So it's like Alex Earle has every right to say her piece. And also I think it then puts into perspective for a lot of people, Harry Joussey's relationship with Alex Cooper because when you take a look at Unwell at a glance, like it was supposed to be this place for like female voices. And it's like Madeline Argy gone, Alex Earl gone, Grace O'Malley.
Starting point is 00:59:49 Like what the hell happened to her? And it's like the only person who's benefited from this has his own TV show. It's Harry Jousy. So it's like, this is your girl boss, girl boss. Meanwhile, she's got one friend in the industry and it's a man. Yeah, I would also say like, let's marry Harry was bad for women. Agreed. Net, net.
Starting point is 01:00:05 I would say that was a bad show for women. So overall, I think where the internet nets out is team Alex Earle. Yeah, even though like I think people are probably disappointed by the overall like Alex Cooper. You know what, I don't agree. And I was, when I saw people saying, like, it's, you know, we knew what it was going to be. And it was literally what we said. Like, she asked for things. I don't know. I thought it was, like, actually a lot juicier. Maybe just hearing it from her lips. And her coming from this, like, really sad, kind of naive place. And the Zandra of it all, you know what, I fed, I felt sufficiently fed.
Starting point is 01:00:42 Oh, that's so interesting. Yeah. And you know what I'm like, always complaining. I didn't think there was going to be, like, my expectations were pretty low. So, like, I didn't feel let down. but I feel like other people, especially because we're like, we do, we're in this business. So like we had a pretty good sense of what probably went wrong. I think other people who thought there was like a crazy story. Yeah. Who are on hanging on Brianna chicken fries every last word or like what happened. I think Brianna chicken fried that comes in the front.
Starting point is 01:01:05 What were you talking about? What was she talking about? No clue. Like, because it's just, you know, bits and pops. Like there wasn't a big thing. It was just bad. So. So that's what has.
Starting point is 01:01:20 happened there. And, uh, yeah, at the end of the day, if you watch the whole show, like, it's just not even about that. No, it's not, but that is what I personally tuned in the minute it was dropped. I did feel bad for Earl that she had gotten herself into this place where she had to like come back swinging. She doesn't want to take a big shot at Alex Cooper. Yeah. And she doesn't want to let everyone down. But, but when she finally posted that like a strip pole video, which was as stupid as I thought. Agreed. You know? Like, and that's, when she posted it, I was like, wow, this girl just doesn't move in the same way that I would. Like I would be like, goodbye sister type video.
Starting point is 01:01:54 Like, here's what happened. And she's just like so unsurious. But it's not that she's unsurious. She's just like, like, young. No, and she's just like doing it on her own. And like, you know, sometimes you're just like so frozen, like with fear and pressure that like the only thing to do is nothing. Yeah. And so like that's what she is.
Starting point is 01:02:15 The Alex Cooper conversations are like back up. And Sophia Franklin's about to start her book tour. So I don't think it's getting better I do think she's like Has given birth or is like minutes from giving birth Really? Yeah Oh
Starting point is 01:02:28 I feel like she has some time So I do like want to give grace and like lay off But if If there's a person who deserves to be heard It's Sophia Franklin I think Alex Cooper and Alex Earle Are both going to continue to be very successful Separately
Starting point is 01:02:46 You know it's very Taylor and Kim Yeah They are the Taylor and came up. They will operate in different worlds till the end of time, both having extreme success. And that's it. Yeah. You know?
Starting point is 01:02:59 And, oh, Sally was on the show. How funny is that for me? Like, my favorite Earl Castle is a huge. It was crazy that she was working for Alex. I know. I guess like her job. Doing just Snapchat? Is that a job?
Starting point is 01:03:10 Her job has been this like major mystery to people. People are like, are you an engineer? Like, it's like been this big, almost a joke. It's funny. People thought she was in medical sales. and I think that's because Sally Carson from Southern Charm. Oh, that's funny. He's in medical sales and they have a similar name.
Starting point is 01:03:24 And now she's probably like full-time influencing. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, there were some really good cameos. I thought when Jake Shane was at that Russian bathhouse, I was actually laughing so hard. I agree. He's like very naturally funny.
Starting point is 01:03:38 It was just funny. They were getting like whacked. It was just hysterical stuff. I really, really enjoyed the show. Any other people. Oh, her little siblings really stole the show. Agreed. They were, they're really cute.
Starting point is 01:03:54 And yeah, I think, so I'm one of these people like, When's Season 2. Oh, yeah, yeah. I'm a when season two, truther. Starting point is 01:09:35 You're welcome. The only other thing we didn't discuss is Ash and Earl linked to Landen Barker. Oh, that's like a new thing. Personally, like Landen Barker is just like, it's like a blind spot for me. Like a conscious blind spot. I know him. I know Charlie Demilio. I know Courtney Kardashian.
Starting point is 01:09:53 I know. To me, I know everyone around him. I don't know him. No, I know him. And to me, like him... Is he an artist? Is he a musician? I think he dabbles.
Starting point is 01:10:00 Like, this means nothing to me. Like, it's just, it's an inconvenience. Yeah. Yeah, I don't love it. Me neither. Okay, our next story. But that's what I mean when I say that, I think, like, Ashton is like so Gen Z that, like, she's sort of like, she's not for us, or at least for me.
Starting point is 01:10:16 Yeah, she's not meant to be for me. Right. Like, that's why I'm like, I feel bad, but I, that seems obvious, you know? She, like, checks a box for other demographics, but not us. Yes. Yes, for sure. I'm in the Ashley box. Yeah, 1,000%
Starting point is 01:10:27 You're an Alex I feel like I'm actually like a transition I'm such an Alyssa Everyone's always leaving me out And it's terrible No actually I'm TJ Like let's be real You are TJ
Starting point is 01:10:40 I'm TJ I also a big storyline was Ashton's like modeling career And I would say that was like a big storyline But Or Ashlyn's career Ashlyn And on therapist
Starting point is 01:10:52 Jake Shane was like You should model Like I love that storyline Like you should absolutely model And like he's a very good friend. I actually thought. She was giving such Kendall Jenner energy. It's like she was. But like here's the thing. I feel like T. And T.J. was saying like you shouldn't and sometimes like the things that you love aren't going to make you the most money. And I feel like she very much is like that like Amelia Gray,
Starting point is 01:11:10 Bella Hadid like, you know, Seck. Dixie Dimmilia. Like literally it's like a trope. And I just don't think any of those girls are happy. I totally agree. And I don't think like modeling will make you happy. It will take you away from your, you'll be in Paris, Milan, China, like everywhere. But at home. It's true. And she's a home body. And I thought TJ gave her good advice by being like, don't become a model. Yeah, I actually agree.
Starting point is 01:11:32 Especially when I think she can just make a lot. I think they have a lot of opportunities. Like so many right here at home. Yeah, right. In point pleasant. So I actually, she would obviously, like, she's unbelievably gorgeous. And she's tall. I didn't, like, I didn't notice like her personality traits for a while because I love
Starting point is 01:11:48 the way that she carries herself. And I think she's like lovely to look at. And she would be an amazing model. Yeah. Like she is a model. Yes. But I don't think so. Yeah, I agree.
Starting point is 01:11:55 Models are not happy people. No, they're really not. Okay, next, King Charles III addresses Prince Harry and Megan Markle's royal status after moving back to the UK. So as discussed on Patreon, Megan and Harry are going back. We're not okay. Are going back to the UK. We're not okay.
Starting point is 01:12:14 And I think the question remaining, like, because this is so confusing, is what does this mean for the royal family? Like, do they know about it? Are they excited about it? Is this an agreed upon decision? Are they just acting rogue again and like going to be living, you know, as commoners? So we heard from King Charles in an official statement. Yes.
Starting point is 01:12:35 King Charles's Lord Chamberlain wrote in a letter sent to multiple outlets saying their styles as his and her royal highness remain in abeyance and are not used. Abeyance, sorry. The king has directed that the following information be shared. No, this is like tea. The charitable work of the Duke and Duchess is a personal matter for them both. and undertaken in their private capacity. In short, their position is akin to private citizens with commercial and charitable interests.
Starting point is 01:13:03 Yeah, I think it's important that King Charles lets his subjects know, like, you're not paying for this because part of being a royal is like your taxpayer dollars subsidizing your life in some parts. And that's where I think they draw a lot of criticism from their different actions, because it's like, these are the taxpayers, what are you doing? So I think he really wanted,
Starting point is 01:13:22 because the public there really dislikes them. I think he wanted to sort of make sure everyone knows, like, don't worry. Like, this is not official. Yes, yes. And also, like, it does feel like sort of a snub because even if this was the case, you know, sending out the letter to all the outlets, like distancing yourself from them is crazy. So I think for people who are like, oh, they're moving back to take care of Charles in his final years, like, are very naive. However, like, if they're not to do, how can they make more.
Starting point is 01:13:54 money in the UK than they can make here. Like I know that the money has run out here. The opportunities have dried up. They have really squandered every relationship that they've had. What's there for them in the UK? Maybe they just think like time has changed. It's very clear that they don't have like a firm grasp on what real people think and like what's going on.
Starting point is 01:14:17 So maybe they thought, you know, enough time has passed they've probably forgotten. Because if they are just, if they were aware they would have moved to Australia, which I do think would have been really good for them. Yeah, like I think there could be opportunities there. Yeah. And I think, I honestly don't know. I actually think that there's more opportunities in America for them still than there are in the UK. Like even acting for her.
Starting point is 01:14:38 They were saying that she was going to be in Guy Ritchie's show or whatever. But like then no one will watch the show. At least in America, like maybe people would still watch a show because Americans love suits. It's true. No. And she's a good actress. I rewatch suits and I feel like it gave me a whole, not rewatch it for the first time. Only a few years ago.
Starting point is 01:14:53 and I feel like it gave me a whole new respect for Megan Markle. Yeah. So I felt like she still could have acted here. I'll be very curious to see what they do there. Like what is the reason? Yeah. And I also think that maybe Charles's statement was meant to put to rest some of the rumors that he's like dying, you know? Because people just blamed it on him.
Starting point is 01:15:16 They're like he's dying. They have to go back. It's his dad. But still, like everyone's been like sick and dying. Yeah, Cain had cancer. They never came. back. Kata cancer.
Starting point is 01:15:25 The queen died. Philip died. Charles has cancer. So much has happened. So, and now, like. It's actually insane that they exited during Queen Elizabeth's reign. Like, seriously, so disrespectful. Seriously disgusting.
Starting point is 01:15:35 They're so weird to me. Like, freaky as hell. I hate people who I can't, like, understand. I don't understand, like, this decision. No, when I said this on Patreon, and what I don't understand is why it's so hard for them to just, like, act normal. Like, they didn't have to do anything. They came here so beloved.
Starting point is 01:15:52 Everyone throwing money at them, throwing homes, throwing planes, and like all you had to do was just like be normal. But instead, everybody hate, like the people around them, like, they don't have the same friends that they did. The people who worked with them don't want to work with them. Like companies and assistants and everything. And it's like, why is it so hard for them to just like be normal? Yeah, like, don't fuck it up. And not be like so much of a repellent. And yeah, repellent. That's what it is. People were really not. I mean, I just, it just resurfaced. the clip of Kim and Chloe on Chloe in Wonderland
Starting point is 01:16:25 talking about the whole Megan Markle thing. And like, you could just tell they like fucking hate her. And it's like, I think that everybody leaves an interaction with them with that bad taste in their mouth. Right. And it's like, why are you giving everyone such a bad taste? Just like say less, do nothing. And people will just like you because like you're so important. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:44 And cool and royal. What not. Royal and you're the Royal Mavericks. And so no one was mad about the Megs. Like people like them for that. So all they had to do was just like come here and retire. Yeah. And they couldn't do that.
Starting point is 01:16:57 That's what I can't understand how you can literally repel everyone around you. Like just with your personality. Yeah. It has to be so bad. Yeah. Can't relate. Can't relate. Cann't.
Starting point is 01:17:10 We will of course keep your breast on any and all updates on the great return. Now that the toast is back, we will be on top of every update. What is the name of this? Like when they left it was Megxit. Mentrance? Like what is it called? Mentress. No, but it's a return.
Starting point is 01:17:21 Well, it would be like a return. Rattagan? Megan Martyrn. I don't know. I like Rattigan. Sound up, I don't get it. Return, Megan. Oh, sound up in the comments.
Starting point is 01:17:34 If you could do better than Ritegian. When did the New York Post do a thrown back? Oh, they also did. Our long national nightmare is over. That was so funny. But like, what's the one word? Right. And I love a blend.
Starting point is 01:17:46 Meg's in. I loved that. I'm going to Thesaurus.com. Hark, Megan. Excuse me? Like Harry Homecoming, Megan. Oh, homecoming. How come Megan?
Starting point is 01:18:01 I think it could catch on. How come Megan? I got it. Don't stress. Okay, because thesaurus.org is giving me nothing. Okay. Are you ready for our next story? Yep.
Starting point is 01:18:15 Dancing with the Stars, Season 35, cast and pros. So we got the rest of the cast of Dancing with the Stars and their partners. Are you ready? I am ready. There wasn't anyone who was like a major show. shock? I think Julia Stiles is shocking people. She's currently like my pick for winner. Okay, we'll get into that. But so we have Sierra Miller and Brandon Armstrong.
Starting point is 01:18:39 Brandon danced with Lauren last year. Yeah. Somebody who got out early and stunk. So yeah, I think it was Lawrence because I don't know him so well. He deserves. He deserves an upgrade and Sierra feels like a fair, good choice. Yeah. I feel like they did switch this year like the pros who got worse people last year. Dancing with the Stars fans always claim that like there are certain people who get and it's true like Mark Ballas always gets someone good, so does Val.
Starting point is 01:19:05 But I think they try to like switch it up with everyone as much as possible. So we have Mora Higgins and Mark Ballas. So cute, they know each other from Traders. Oh cute. Oh, I love that. Jackson Olson from Savannah Bananas and Emma Slater. That's going to be fun and she deserves like a fun dancer guy
Starting point is 01:19:22 because she did the most with Andy. Yeah, so imagine what she could do with like a young able-bodied. Yeah. Then we have Whitney Carson and Guillermo, which we knew and she's pregnant, and it's perfect. Literally perfect. Jenna Dewan and Vow. They'll be ones to watch. Okay, but I need them to be so for real.
Starting point is 01:19:40 Like, this giving Heather Morris from Glee, at a certain point, like this show is not fair. Is she a dancer? Oh, my God. She was just in a dance movie. No, she was the host of you so you think you can dance. Like, she's very much in the dance world. It's not, honestly, it's not as. egregious as
Starting point is 01:19:56 Mike Chang from Glee. No, he's on this season. But it's got people's feathers ruffled and I agree. Oh, I didn't see any of that, but she also really looks like the wife. Jenna Johnson, yes. And they have like the same, they both start with Jay.
Starting point is 01:20:20 Then we have Ezra Fretch and D'Igela Karagach. Who's Ezra? I believe he's a Paralympian. Oh, cool. Yeah, they always got an athlete in there. Love that. Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa. Yeah, I feel that this is a perfect pairing.
Starting point is 01:20:37 Julia Stiles has like a lot of lore and pop culture as it pertains to dance, but just like media in general. And I think that like the gay pro is perfect for her. I think he will deliver on like, uh, 10 things I hate about you. Yeah, all the lore. Their TikToks have already been like very funny. And I think he's perfect for her. And I do think she's, the perfect person. She has like a little bit of background in dance, but she's by no means
Starting point is 01:21:00 a dancer. Even some of the TikToks she's been making. I'm like, oh, she's not like as good as I thought, but I think she'll really improve. And it's almost like a muscle that she hasn't flexed in a while. And I think that they have potential to win. Yeah, especially because like she's older than she was when she was like Elaine Hendricks a little bit. Like she was a big dancer back in the day. And now it's a muscle that she hasn't flexed in a while. Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson. This is like legit unfair. He's actually. maybe a better dancer than her. Like he is fully trained.
Starting point is 01:21:30 He was like the dancer on Glee. I know he's gone on to do more stuff, but like to me he's my chain. He's on Grey's anatomy. He's my Chang. Like this is egregious. And so they made a TikTok of Val and his partner, which is Jenna Dwan and Jenna,
Starting point is 01:21:45 Val's husband and her partner, Harry. And it just looks like four professional dancers. Honestly, like Harry Shem Jr. was like a better dancer than Val. Like it was actually, I'll show you the video. People are so upset. about it and rightfully so it's just so obvious also that's funny there's a pro and i think it might be britt i'm not sure who it is who's like dream partner she's always said is harry shem junior and it's like they didn't give it to her so people are like there's jena favoritism because jena and val and jenna always
Starting point is 01:22:12 gets good people and also like jena last no jennah had cori felman last season so she's really do she's she deserves it it's like when you're coming last in the draft and like at the NFL so you get first pick pick at the draft that's what this is she deserves it she wasn't even on last season. I thought she took the season off. She was literally on two weeks. But she was with Corey. And they were like beefing too. It was horrible season for her. I don't even know her because she was not on the show. So I think this is very fair. Me too. Giaada de Laurentis and Alan Burstyn. I love this. Not your favorite? I love this.
Starting point is 01:22:47 Are you going to be texting Giata every week? I'm texting Giata. She's a perfect person for it. Like I literally love this. I love like this is what Dancing the Stars is all about. This is dancing with the stars. She's so random. Like, Giata, okay, Slay. I know. I actually just, like, started, I don't know why recently, like, her Instagram came up for me before Dancing with the Stars. And I was just like, she makes a lot of content. She makes, like, pargy stuff. She's always been just sort of, like, difficult to champion because she's so skinny. And she's Italian. So
Starting point is 01:23:13 always cooking, like, pizza and pasta. It's like, girl, be so for real. But not me body shaming. Like, I'll stop. Yeah. And, like, judging. It's just like, she's always been the skinniest person on Food Network. It just, like, didn't add a... It's okay. I know, I feel like if you're cooking, like, Greek food? Like, okay, Greek food's super healthy. Like, Italian food is not. But, and she always says like Parmigiano Reggiano. It's like, you can just say Parmesan.
Starting point is 01:23:34 Like, I just feel like you're stereotyping. Never trust a skinny chef. That's what the kids say. Next we have Connor Wood and Riley Arnold. Connor, what is fibula? I shit, first of all. Like, there's always a couple, will, they won't they? Like, this is them, first of all. Second of all, you'd love to see a friend of the toast out here doing big things. Former guest host. People love him.
Starting point is 01:23:55 I think he'll get a lot of votes. votes. And you'd love to see like the influencer sector being represented. Yeah. So this is our influencer for the season. Fibia. Yeah. And Tyler Cameron. I love him. Tyler Cameron, but he's a reality star. He is like an influencer. He is with Sharna Burgess. Oh, and Sharna Burgess is returning. Can you remind me? I get her so confused with Ryan Austin, Gle. She's not Shannon Mochler, but she's with Brian Austin Green now. Now she is. Megan Fox's ex-hus. Yeah. Okay. And she was. And she was. And she was. And she
Starting point is 01:24:26 one with Bobby Bones. She was like one of the most controversial winners of all time. Yeah. So she's with Tyler C. who I think Tyler C is going to be amazing. I think any time people are reminded of Tyler C or like he's on their televisions, like everyone falls in love with him all over again.
Starting point is 01:24:41 So even though he hasn't been on, he does like H.E. TV stuff, but he hasn't been on like the bachelor in a while. So you would have thought like he's no longer eligible for dancing with the stars because it's usually like right after. I think people are going to remember like how much. He's a heartthrob. I love him.
Starting point is 01:24:55 He is. I do want to say. and I have no proof of this, I think he's a horrendous dancer. Like I could just see him having like no rhythm. And being very difficult to train. And this is somebody who's been like out of the game for a few years. Like I do think they will struggle.
Starting point is 01:25:11 Yeah, they will. But he'll be like, you know, an improvement and he can only do so well. And he'll get really far just like based on his looks. Yeah. And eagerness to get better. He's seriously just so handsome. Yeah. Next we have Connor Leavitt.
Starting point is 01:25:26 And Adele Zeichmann, Adele Zygman won Dancing with the Stars The Next Pro, which was their, you know, Grilly Project style show this summer where they sought to find the next pro. And I've seen clips of her. And it seems like it was like the most obvious choice in the world. She's an unbelievable dancer. There's like a lot of debate online whether Connor would like, not Connor was, excuse me, Connor.
Starting point is 01:25:50 Oh, we had two Connors on the season. Is eligible to have been selected as a star. Like he's kind of a nepo husband, people say, and Whitney's like making all this content with her nepo husband's shirt. Like they're very much engaging with the rhetoric. Because overall, the feedback I've seen is that people are really underwhelmed by this group of people,
Starting point is 01:26:06 like this casting. I think last year was so, there were so many stars. Like so many It Girls. Like it was really, it was kind of a banner season for them last year, I'd say in terms of like ratings and gets. Like they got good people. Whitney was huge for them. Alex Earl was huge for them.
Starting point is 01:26:20 Robert Irwin was huge for them. Jordan Childs was huge for them. I think that the overwhelming sentiment is like, this is a little lackluster. And I think people are pinning that on Connor, which is not fair. So I have a lot of thoughts on Connor. And it's just crazy because, like,
Starting point is 01:26:36 Whitney had so much success offline, almost like online, off the show. On the show, like, they were very hard on her. The fans fucking hated her. And she didn't even make top four. Yeah. And now it's like her husband is,
Starting point is 01:26:50 the next choice when she, on the show, she actually didn't make that huge of an impact like she should have. It really all happened like online after the fact. And you know who's vomiting is Jen Affleck. Like it was hard enough. But also it's crazy that there's not a Mormon wife on the cast.
Starting point is 01:27:07 And I feel like maybe there was supposed to be. And they couldn't get one because of scheduling or something. And so they went with Connor. I feel like they could have gotten one. And I feel like Connor sort of took like the Salamouse spot, even though they had two last year. It is crazy that there's not a secret. lives, but they're Sarah Jane Nader, you know,
Starting point is 01:27:22 which is so random. Sarah J. Nader's not random. She's exactly who would be on the show. Someone in the ABC family. Yeah, but I think when people are talking about like the underwhelming nature, someone with 70,000 Instagram followers, like, is a shock. Oh, wow. Okay. I saw a lot of
Starting point is 01:27:38 Sarah J. Nader, like, discussion. I guess it's like different strokes for different folks, because here we have Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov. Amber Glenn is an Olympic figure skater. I don't know her, but, I know people were like very excited about her and I don't know I'm not familiar with her lore that's so funny I was looking at the picture of the two of them I thought he was Amber
Starting point is 01:27:58 Glenn and that she was Pasha I'm cracking up like I'm like I never saw Amber Glenn and the men skaters skating like I because I don't know either of them but now but Pasha also colored his hair so that's why I'm confused because now I remember him from last yeah of course with Danielle Fisher yes yeah um and then Sarah J. Nader and Haley So Sarah Jane Nader is the sister of Brooks Nader and she is dancing with Haley Bills, who is also a first time pro. Derek Hops's wife, right? Why do I think that?
Starting point is 01:28:28 I think she is. No, no, no, I think that's someone else because Haley Bills is like very young. Oh, okay. But I think he's also married to like a Haley dancer and Haley Bills was in like the troupe that used to come out like in between. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like she was on the-minor leagues. And they're making, you know, some more herstery as a female dancing couple because
Starting point is 01:28:48 Sarah Jane Nader is bisexual. Yeah. She's actively dating Pete Davidson, so I feel like it's really not necessary that they pair her with a girl. Like, I feel like when they did it with Jojo Siwa, like it was sweet. Like it was really, um, Jojo Siwa's dating me. I know. So it's kind of like a curse. Like, I feel like it like it changes your sexuality. No, I'm totally kidding by the way. Like that was obviously a joke. I just feel like, I thought Sarah Jane was like a lesbian. And then the Pete Davidson thing happened. I'm like, oh, maybe she's not. And so I just feel like, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:29:19 Like if you can date Pete Davidson, like you can dance with a man. Yeah. Like if there was some, like I was saying like Ellen DeGeneres went on dancing with the stars. Like she should dance with a woman for sure. But the thing is, is like dancing is not about your sexuality. I feel like. Right.
Starting point is 01:29:32 And if you're saying it is about sexuality, then like all these people who are married and bumping and grinding on each other. It's sexual. Yeah. I'm like kind of a purist when it comes to ballroom dance. Like it's so gendered, right? Like the man lifts the women. And it's like, it's very old school.
Starting point is 01:29:46 Is Haley going to be lifting up Sarah Jane? Yeah. And it's like. Or is Sarah Jane lifting a paper? I don't know. It's like sweet to always be inclusive, of course. But like you can dance with anyone. Like dancing is just like a beautiful thing that everyone can do with everyone.
Starting point is 01:29:58 Like no, and it's like Scott Hoying danced with a woman. Correct. And he was fine. Completely. And so it's like all like, yeah, I'm sorry. This is this is not for me. Especially with somebody who's like actively dating Pete Davidson. It's not even like she's dating anyone.
Starting point is 01:30:13 She's dating Pete Davidson. Like can't lay her hands on a man. Yeah. So I just. feel like it's a little performative. It's, it's beyond performative. And yes, I, it's actually the definition of performance. I like ballroom dance.
Starting point is 01:30:27 Like, I just, I like it. It's OG version. Like, they've been doing it for decades, man and woman. And it's like, the man's gay, the woman's gay. Nobody cares. The man's married, the woman's married. Nobody cares. I feel a little bad for Haley Bills.
Starting point is 01:30:38 It's her first season. Well, no, I don't feel bad because honestly, she's already like making a splash and like. I guess so, but she has like this abridged version. It's not the training that she's used to for her life. You know, she's always. already figuring out how to make a choreo for the show for the first time and teach someone at a dance and now like it's not the dynamic she's used to. I think it's a two-night premiere.
Starting point is 01:30:58 The like the men are going first and then the women are going. I'm sad. I love dancing with the stars. I can't believe there was a time when I didn't watch it. There's more people. Oh my God. Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart. Another situation where I'm not sure who the pro is. Oh, Britt is the pro. Oh, Taylor Hanson. He's from Hansen. Mm-bop. Yeah. Okay. A lot of the Brit stands are like, you know, a little myth that like for two years, She had Baron Davis last year. I think he was actually the first person out. That she's constantly getting like kind of shitty.
Starting point is 01:31:24 But she also ended up marrying, I think, one of her first partners, the actor from Coda, who was deaf, and she like learned sign language. She was so sweet. They're still married. So she's gotten a lot from the show. But yeah, she's kind of like gotten shit two years in a row. But Hansen could maybe dance. Maybe.
Starting point is 01:31:39 But I don't think he has hordes of fans. And if they do, like, I don't know if they're voting, texting to vote. And then Tatiana Ali and Jan Rueh. Rovnik. Jan. Who's Tatiana Ali? I don't know her. She was on the fresh prince of Bel Air.
Starting point is 01:31:55 Oh, right. Of course. Yeah, of course. And she had that viral TikTok with Will Smith that started the Dochi anxiety challenge. It's a little TikTok lore for you. Very interesting. This is a huge cast. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 01:32:07 It never ended. I guess it always is. It never ended. And then at some point they really start chopping people off. I do agree with like the criticism that it's not star-study. But I just feel like last year was an anomaly. and I think that's because of Alex Earl, period. Whitney wound up being a huge sensation on the show,
Starting point is 01:32:23 but when she came on, she was just a Mormon wife who's on the show because she's on Hulu. Alex Earl was like, even you were shocked, you were like, why is she doing this? Robert Irwin was big. I think that it just felt like Dancing with the Stars was like coming up in the world of TV as like no longer a thing that was considered lowbrow.
Starting point is 01:32:39 And now I feel like this cast is just sort of like on par with their usual seasons. Yeah, I think we just like got Alex Earlified. And this is what it's always great. effect. Yeah, this is what it's always been, honestly. And we have like, Mora and Sierra, like, this is always the sort of cast. And then we have Hansen.
Starting point is 01:32:55 That's classic Hansen. It's classic stuff. We have a figure skater. It's classic stuff. Are you ready for our next story? I don't know if our cards are ready. Like, we're approaching two hours. Okay, you get to pick one more story.
Starting point is 01:33:08 Okay. There was one I wanted to cancel anyway. KJ. You want to talk about. Oh, my God, we have to talk about the Mirmans. This is so upsetting. And I really mostly wanted to talk about it because I've kind of probably. up this family for so many years. I'm always talking at them. Like they, up until recently, like,
Starting point is 01:33:22 were hilarious. And I did just want to make, like, an official resignation and, like, make it be known. Like, this is not something I can get behind. You're out. And you, like, stood by through acquired gait most recently, too. Yes. They had, no, and they had been through a lot publicly, and, like, I'm always, like, seeing the best
Starting point is 01:33:38 in them. That ends today. This is such a disturbing story. Every detail, and it keeps getting worse and worse. It went from two charges to seven charges. It is. sign of like such moral depravity in their house that I'm so upset by it. Like the details give me a chill down my spine. And like I am out.
Starting point is 01:34:00 So K.J. Beerman, who is the 15-year-old son of Kim Zolsiak. He's the one that got bit by the dog. Croix Beerman. He is being accused of sexual assault and sodomy. So he went to jail. Yeah, I think he's still in. He's in jail. He might get out on bond.
Starting point is 01:34:16 and so he will actually be subject to strict stipulations if he gets out of jail after being indicted in this sexual assault and sodomy case. His new normal will be close, close monitoring if granted bond. Sexual assault case experts are saying there's a likelihood he'll be released and he will have a lot of conditions. He'll be on GPS, probably be on house arrest and having to do school at home. Yeah, based on what I had read, it seems that they have like a pretty good amount of damning evidence for there to be so many charges and for them to be holding him in jail right now. Yeah, so the charges are aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, false imprisonment, and three counts of aggravated sexual battery against a child under 16 stemming from an alleged incident in Alpharetta, Georgia,
Starting point is 01:35:01 earlier this year. The charges are unbelievably serious and could result in decades of prison time if he is convicted, and the fact that he remains behind bars could suggest that there's a very strong case against him. Yeah, that's what I, like, had heard people who, like, know more about the case saying, like the fact that there are so many charges and he's still being held. Yet they said not releasing him into the custody of his parents with electronic monitoring of some kind surprises me for a child of his age. Right. The crimes are so egregious, like what he's actually being charged with. It's very disturbing that, I mean, anytime something like this happens, but that a 15-year-old could and would do this.
Starting point is 01:35:38 Like I said, it's a sign, I think, of like true moral depravity. And it's so upsetting. and Kim Zolsiak released a statement that bothered me so much. Like obviously she's like, my son is innocent, yada yada, against these claims from this woman. She said the word woman. The girl's 15, or I don't know how old she is, but she's under 16.
Starting point is 01:35:57 It's like, it was such an intentional use of language to like, I guess, lighten the severity. I just thought it was so disgusting. You're all white trash, quite frankly. Like, I just, I, there are so few stories that actually like leave me speechless This is egregious
Starting point is 01:36:18 It's egregious Like every element Sodomy 15 years old Like I'm out on this family Beyond out by Yeah Oh it's really nauseating
Starting point is 01:36:29 No it's frightening And if you look at pictures I mean he's this huge kid I think he's a football player It just It actually makes me sick Like I feel sick Yeah
Starting point is 01:36:39 Sick Well look forward to justice being served here. Yeah, I'm curious if they are going to let him out. Like, I feel like when you're on trial. You get out on bail. Right, before your trial. Unless you're like a murderer.
Starting point is 01:36:53 Flight risk or. I think depending on the degrees of, if you're for tax fraud, I think they'll let you stay at home. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Very upsetting. I know we didn't get to everything today, but like the show does have to get up.
Starting point is 01:37:07 It does. And then the only other thing, which we talked about on Patreon, which I know that you like hate and love. to talk about is Lindsay Clancy. Oh, I guess we haven't spoken about it since it's been a mistrial, which is like a little confused by. Like I don't know where we go from here. My opinion has not changed.
Starting point is 01:37:23 I'm actually feeling even like more fervent than ever. If you want to hear like my rant. And the crazy thing is like this has really taken women. Like women are divided. I'm not even divided, but like this is like very much like a women's issue that people are talking about. Women are divided. No, the women are divided.
Starting point is 01:37:40 And I think that, um, We have a huge female audience, and, like, I think a lot of you guys, like, would majorly disagree with me. I have actually never felt more strongly about anything. Maybe in the history of the toast. Like, I think she should be locked the fuck up. I have so many thoughts. And so it's crazy how, like, people are getting canceled for, like, their takes on this. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:38:02 And so, like, I guess I think I have, what I've said on the Patreon is, like, an eighth of how I feel. Like, I have the strongest takes. But I'm being accused of not supporting postpartum women, which is. literally the opposite. Like if you watch this show, like you know how false that is. So it's just like one of those things I don't even want to talk about,
Starting point is 01:38:19 but I feel so strongly that like maybe I could change the opinion of one person. Because to be honest, I've seen some takes from women that genuinely make me ashamed to be a woman and share gender with some people.
Starting point is 01:38:30 Like I think people have gotten a little lost in the sauce and I've seen a lot of people or like even people that I talked to would be like in the beginning I was like, you know. By the way, Jackie, do you remember when I brought it up on the toes? I almost got caught up in this like,
Starting point is 01:38:42 social media, friends. I don't know how like all of this has like obfuscated the fact that like the woman killed three children. Three children are dead. Whatever led her to it, whatever sad circumstances, you know,
Starting point is 01:38:54 that got her there. They're there. Very sad. Sorry to hear that. But you killed your children and the worst should happen to you. Agreed. And I think that, um,
Starting point is 01:39:04 there's so much to say. I think that I'm actually finding it like very difficult to discuss this with people in both on the, line and like in my own life because I'm feeling like are you serious and I think there's like levels of people who like think X things why I think like people who think the husband did it like I actually I I can't talk to people who think that the husband did it because yeah if you think that the husband did it then yeah this woman's being like wrongfully convicted no but it's so but it's like they're not even her her own team is not even trying to say that she did not do it course her lawyer said many times
Starting point is 01:39:34 during the trial that like admittedly she did it and I think that it's so like I watched footage of the funeral like the speech that he made and they're like it's weird he went to coast to and he got remarried. It's like, why do you shut the fuck up? Like, if somebody loses all three of their kids at the hands of their wife, how about they can do whatever the fuck they want. Like, I don't care how they...
Starting point is 01:39:49 He ran a marathon. Okay. Like, I literally don't care. Like... For them. No, and I feel like we talked about that. He ran for them. When I watched the Brian Coburger, um, Idaho,
Starting point is 01:39:57 I was like saying how it's so weird that it all happened at 4 a.m. And that the kids didn't call the police until noon. And they had a detective on the documentary being like, we didn't think that was weird at all. Like, you really can't predict how someone's going to react in the wake of a tragedy, like something that's so shocking and traumatizing. So it's like, okay, maybe you think he should have waited six years before getting married.
Starting point is 01:40:20 It's like, and like the judgment that's coming to this man who literally lost his three kids. Like, I think it shows, again, my favorite phrase today, a moral depravity in our culture that, like, we can't let this man rest. And like Lisa Rina making TikToks, Patrick did it. Like, there's no proof. Like, I just, I actually can't. And I know the comments are going to blow up from this. But like, I'm so, I feel so strongly and I'm so steadfast. in my beliefs. I'm like, you're not changing my mind.
Starting point is 01:40:44 If anything, I'm becoming even more radicalized. Yeah, no. So I guess like the mistrial, if they weren't going to convict her. And also what happens to her, whether she's convicted or not is the same because she's like paralyzed and going to be like in a care facility. Whether she's like, you know, it's a mental illness declaration or just jail. Like there's no jail for her, really. So like what happens to her is mostly the same. But it's more so about like the legal precedent.
Starting point is 01:41:11 And so I'm glad there was no precedent set. that you can get away with killing your kids. Three kids. Agreed. And then I guess you get like mentally evaluated every six months. Right. So there is like a higher chance of you getting out. And like having more.
Starting point is 01:41:23 No. And like a lot of people there's like cases in the past like mostly with black women who's whose medical records aren't even admissible in court. So like the fact that they might have struggled with a mental illness like doesn't even get to be spoken about. But like like I'm sorry. I actually can't talk about this. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:37 So I guess like Ms. Charles like best case scenario. Sure. those of us who want to see justice I need I heard that the lone juror is going to be on Nancy Grace that's what I heard and when I tell you that would be like the interview of the century
Starting point is 01:41:51 yeah I need to know who it is they say like there's a lot of rumors people say because it was a jury of like nine women three men that it was one of the men I think it was one of men I think someone like outed that in the pronouns that they used to describe the situation curious
Starting point is 01:42:07 yeah so yeah that's always a can of worms. The world is. I wasn't going to bring it up today because it's so, it's so polarizing. I wasn't going to either, but actually like, you're so glad you've never had to deal with postpartum depression. It's like, we're not talking about postpartum depression, first of all. And second of all, like, that's so, like, you're missing the point. Yeah. No, you just, you can't kill three children. You just can't do it. And it, you just can't. No, and the fact that, like, she's even on trial trying to save her own life, like, there's like a very famous case. I think people are comparing it to Andrea Yates,
Starting point is 01:42:38 who like is, I think the most, it was a while ago, killed her kids. I think she said she was in psychosis. And she was literally begging to be killed. Right. The story is so fucking fishy. And bringing your kids in your pink shirt to the courthouse. Like, we have lost the plot.
Starting point is 01:42:55 And I am not associating myself with these people. Like, no, not me. No, so I wasn't going to bring it up either. But I guess the fact that it was declared a mistrial happened in the last week. And we hadn't discussed that. So that's really the biggest story. And that's all for today. There's plenty we didn't discuss, but the week is young, you guys.
