Starting point is 00:00:00 Good morning, girlies, it's the Toast. It's Jackson, Claude, and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly, it's the Toast. They sound amazing. Welcome back to the Toast. Happy Friday, because we are fucking celebrating Liz. We are celebrating Liz, because Lizard Pete
Starting point is 00:00:37 is back in the studio with me. It is our last day of Jackson Friends. We have a banger episode for you guys. Liz and I are endeavoring to bite off a lot today. A lot. Fast Five Stories. Fast Five Stories. Love Island Recap, Dear Toasters.
Starting point is 00:00:54 And then we have a guest interview that I recorded yesterday with AJ from the Costco guys that is just gonna make your day. So if we can keep this episode to two hours, I would be very impressed by us. Same here, we have a lot to do. We have a lot to do, but I feel like everyone deserves a little Friday treat.
Starting point is 00:01:10 Like we're going out of Jackson Friends with a boom. With a boom. Five, well, oh, I don't wanna spoil it. Don't spoil, but I think we could say it's with five big booms. Five big booms, yeah. For sure. And then on Monday, Claudia is back with me
Starting point is 00:01:22 before we head off on summer break. I know people were like, wait, I thought Claudia was doing the last show. The last show was Monday because Monday is still June 30th. June 30th. Yeah. A great day. Lizard, welcome back to the show. Thank you. I'm so happy to be doing a second show. I feel like yesterday I was like diving in and I don't really podcast ever. So I was sort of getting my feet wet. And now I feel a lot like yesterday, I had to take a quarter Klonopin because I was nervous and so today I feel like I can just be myself and relax and converse.
Starting point is 00:01:48 Yes, and I feel like yesterday we got the formalities out of the way. You know, what do you think about Taylor and Travis? Who are you, where do you hail from? Kylie and Timothy. Kylie and Timothy. We didn't do Blake and Justin yet and let's see if we can get away with not doing it,
Starting point is 00:02:00 but we're certainly not gonna do it at this moment. Now tell me about this Klonopin. Is that a beta blocker? No. What's a beta blocker? No. What's a beta blocker? Beta blockers are, I don't think their primary use is for anxiety, but they happen to help. Clonopin is a, I don't know, it's in the-
Starting point is 00:02:17 Like a Xanax. It's like a Xanax. It's like another form of Xanax as far as I know. But you go clon over Xan? Yes, clonopin doesn't make me feel as, it doesn't make me feel drowsy. Right, because the idea of like me taking a Xanax as far as I know. But you go Klon over Xan. Yes, Klonopin doesn't make me feel as, it doesn't make me feel drowsy. Right, because the idea of like me taking a Xanax before doing the toe seems counterintuitive.
Starting point is 00:02:32 Yes, you wanna be bubbly and energetic, but I was nervous and also even when I'm excited and not nervous, I get nervous anxiety. Like when I would go to camp as a child, actually it's departure day for a lot of those, or arrival day for a lot of those campers. Convoyage campers. I used to throw up every time I was on the drive to camp,
Starting point is 00:02:50 not because I was nervous after my first summer, but because I was so excited, I would just throw up. Yeah, did you feel like you were gonna throw up yesterday on the toast? No, thank goodness, yeah. That would have been the first time for everything. That would have been. Okay, well I'm glad that you're feeling great
Starting point is 00:03:03 and so you didn't take the con today. No, no, I'm, I'm ready to go. You're feeling like yourself again. Yes. Yeah. You could say that. So last night we both watch, watch Love Island separately in our morning quarters. Yes. So we will be recapping. I haven't even spoken about it with you.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Like I'm gonna drive over here. I don't know how you're feeling. I don't even know if I saw like stories with your thoughts. I wrote down my, my notes on my phone. Oh, okay. Perfect. And we are going to do the fast five today. I wrote down my notes on my phone. Oh, okay, perfect. And we are gonna do the Fast Five today. I actually had a really busy morning, so I was like,
Starting point is 00:03:29 Liz, you wanna take a stab at choosing? So I think most, I think we're five for five. I think like Lizard chose the stories, which I think is perfect because you're the story queen. You're also shifting liability. So if people don't like the stories, it's like, well, you guys can come after the guest. People never like the stories.
Starting point is 00:03:43 I'm so hardened to that criticism. Because you chose the stories today. And tell them how it's not as easy as it looks. There is a dearth, like I said yesterday. And today's not even a bad day. Anna Wintour left Vogue. Right. But that's it.
Starting point is 00:03:54 That's one. So there is a dearth of stories. And all the publicists, if they are not already on vacation, they are on vacation. There's like the Lauren Sanchez, Jeff Bezos wedding, of course, but I feel like we said what we needed to say. We spoke about it yesterday, we spoke about it the day before,
Starting point is 00:04:09 and we're gonna talk about it on Monday. So like, let's have a break, yeah? Right, so the stories, if they're a little silly, come to me, not to Jackie. No, but you can come to me, like I'm prepared to take it, because I know, and I've been in the trenches for years, but I do feel like now maybe like, you'll have my back. Not that you didn't, like not that anyone was asking me
Starting point is 00:04:25 like where do you stand on Jackie's story picking abilities, but if they did, you'd say leave her alone. I think I really tried to get like what you guys go for. There were a couple of things that people were talking about on the internet that don't deserve like a story spot, Lil Bieber, even though I was, I thought maybe he listened to the toast yesterday because it's like, oh, he was inspired by Lil Bow Wow, Lil Romeo.
Starting point is 00:04:47 Lil and Lil Liz. Right, exactly. Right, they made an Instagram handle for their child. I have no- No, no, like that was Justin Bieber changing his Instagram handle to Lil Bieber. It only had like 200K or was that 200 million? It was just, I think it was Justin Bieber.
Starting point is 00:05:02 Hold on. Yeah. Okay, maybe it is a story now. I thought they made an Instagram for the baby. The reason I didn't pick it is because it's hard to talk about. It's hard to talk about. And there's never a clarity.
Starting point is 00:05:13 Lil Bieber, Justin Bieber. Oh, 200 million. Not 200. I just assumed that was a K. Yeah. Oh, OK. Lil Bieber. Lil Bieber.
Starting point is 00:05:21 No, I have no thoughts until further notice. Until we find out what this means. Yes. I'm kind of fatigued on JB. No, I have no thoughts until further notice. Like until we find out what this means. Yes. I'm kind of fatigued on JB. Yes, me too. Yeah. JB squared. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:31 JB squared. Yeah. Who's the other? The other Justin. Valdoni. Valdoni. Oh my gosh. Okay, let's just get into it.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Like, because I feel like it's a rite of passage for Jackson friends for you to tell me where you stand on Justin B Blake. I don't have anything new to say. You guys really do a good job. Are you more of a Jax or a Claude? We really come at it differently. I'm more of a Claude, but one thing I will say is when I'm talking about pop culture phenomena like this, I often think that the simplest answer is the right one and that
Starting point is 00:05:58 people and all of their conspiracies can go a little nuts. The issue with this case is that neither side is that simple. Neither allegation is that simple. It's like, on the one hand, you have a person who's alleging that these people were maybe trying to steal a film from under him. And then the other side is alleging these really serious things.
Starting point is 00:06:17 And I thought Jared Freed talked about it really well, which was like, when there's conversations of sexual harassment, it sort of stops being fun pop culture fodder. But it was definitely eye opening as it relates to the astroturfing. I think that wherever you fall, it sort of opened people's eyes to that corner of the internet.
Starting point is 00:06:35 So that's my way of dodging, talking about my true opinions. That's so Claude. Yeah, well, you could say it's Claude. It's also just diplomatic. Yeah, I understand. And I understand like not wanting to go down with that sinking ship. Like I'll go down for stuff and I'll die on Hills,
Starting point is 00:06:51 but certainly not that one. I don't even understand. Even though you guys, I'm loving Blake Brown Beauty. So am I. I've been spritzing my hair with like the hair spritzer because it's a little less committal than a perfume. I like the Bergmont wooded one. Because we have guests every day in the studio,
Starting point is 00:07:07 I like, and I give everyone a hug. Like I want them to like smell something nice, not nice. So I've been using it and I like it. And I like break brown beauty. What can I say? It's great. I also was sent PR. You get the whole like the kit.
Starting point is 00:07:22 I got, I think everything. Like the shampoo. The mask, the mousse. I use the mousse every kit I got I think everything I Ask The mousse I use the mass the mousse every time I blow-dry my hair and I also really like it What do you use a mousse for? Actually, Claudia told me that when she blow-dries her hair, she uses a mousse and color Wow And as soon as I got that I switch it. It's it's just supposed to hold the the curl better I mean, I don't know how it will hold up in Florida
Starting point is 00:07:44 I don't know anything holds up in front like putting stuff in my mean, I don't know how it will hold up in Florida. I don't know how anything holds up in Florida. But I like putting stuff in my hair before I blow dry it. I didn't realize that's what mousse was for. I thought mousse, I used mousse when I was like in middle school, to scrunch my hair. Or you were trying to like slick your hair back maybe? No, I've never used a mousse for that. Only like for like a wet look. And so what do you use in your hair when you're blow drying it?
Starting point is 00:08:02 I rotate between the Wella spray, the Color Wow Money. I don't know what it's called. Give me the money spray. I have a couple other sprays that are pre-blow dry heat protected sprays. Yeah, so I use the mousse as a hold and the spray to help with de-frizz, which it does nothing when I'm down here.
Starting point is 00:08:24 My hair just is not used to this weather at all. But generally I'm an advocate for the Blake Brown Mousse and the Color Wow dream coat. That's the shellac? Yes. That I love, that's in my hair today. But I put that on dry hair. Okay, we're not talking about the same thing anymore.
Starting point is 00:08:40 The dream coat is like what you put on before you blow dry your hair, the spray bottle. Oh, okay. I don't think I use that and I should. That's good. I love pre blow dry stuff. So I will use, she also sent like the wonder potion. That's what I've been using pre blow dry from Blake Brown.
Starting point is 00:08:54 I don't think I got that. Maybe it came out after I received my PR. Cause you got it sooner than me. But it's so weird that they sent it to me like this month when I'm like completely, you know, off team Blake. Maybe they saw that as an opportunity. No, it's genius because every time we come up, like I have to say how much I love Blake Brown Pooty.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Yeah, and the brand gets attention. Two things can be true. Yes. Like I think she could be wrong about this, but right about that. Do you think she's wrong about this? Yeah. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm like team- Right here first. No, no, no, I jumped ship like publicly there and a while ago I'm no longer like with her. I'm not, hashtag, I'm not with her. Okay. I'm not like with him, but I guess like I'm more with him.
Starting point is 00:09:35 I don't know, I think he was like more wronged in totality. Okay. Totality. So I guess we could get into the stories because we have a very busy day. And we'll just like circle back to Lizard P. Ting's. Please do. As they emerge, shall we?
Starting point is 00:09:52 Yes, I'm ready. Okay, great. So now without further ado, dah, doo, dah, doo, it is time for the Fast Five Stories that you do need to know. And you do also need to know that today's episode of the toast is brought to you by Taylor
Starting point is 00:10:06 Farms. Taylor Farms, yummy yummy. So I love Taylor Farms as you know they make the pargeous salad kits. It's salad in a bag but don't let that stop you from trying it because it is fresh, it is crisp, it is creative, they have the best flavors. kale Caesar avocado ranch Mediterranean crunch. My whole family loves them. I use them for so many different needs Most of the time I'm having a solo salad I'll do it like for lunch or I'll have a salad for dinner if I'm making the kids a protein I'll just like put mine on top of the salad because I'm incredibly thin But then other times we're having like a dinner party or having people over. And so of course you have to like make a salad
Starting point is 00:10:46 to go with the meal, even though probably people wouldn't eat it because it might be yucky. And I'll do Taylor Farms because I'm not about to start washing lettuce and chopping and getting out all the vegetables. And I'll just do a beautiful Taylor farm salad. It compliments the meal so nicely. Everyone does eat it because it is so good.
Starting point is 00:11:00 And that way I look like the hero who incorporated the salad into the meal and took the time to shred the lettuce like to a tea, which I also love like bite sized bites of salad. I don't want big leaves. Taylor Farms, their shredder, like give him a promotion and it's definitely a man. Anyways, Taylor Farms is available at all major grocery stores and you should grab a Taylor Farms chopped salad kit and get your salad together because it is the best way to consume salad. And I'm just so grateful that Taylor Farms exists and it's saved me so much time and energy in making salads. And I am eating more salads because of Lured Farms.

Starting point is 00:14:54 Are you ready for our first story? I'm ready. Anowin Tours stepping down as the editor-in-chief of Vogue after 37 years. So influential style icon Anowin Tours stepping down as the editor-in-chief of Vogue's US edition after 37 years of running the fashion world with her trailblazing vision and icy perfectionism, a source close to the magazine's owner, Conde Nast told the Post on Thursday. So she announced that she's seeking a new head of editorial content for American Vogue during a staff meeting Thursday morning, according to a company spokesperson. company spokesperson. She will retain some of her power though at the publication by hanging on to two key positions, the spokesperson said. She will remain Conde Nast global chief content officer and Vogue's global editorial director with the magazine's new editor in chief reporting directly to her.
Starting point is 00:15:39 Well I mean her tenure predates me. She's been doing this for 37 years and I think she helped to make the Met Gala what it is, which I think is one of the biggest accomplishments. And I also think she obviously helped to platform all of these designers that now we know today. Her influence really can't be overstated in that way. I actually think that the Devil Wears product probably
Starting point is 00:16:00 got that right as it relates to that famous speech of Meryl Streep talking about. Cerulean blue. Yes, the colors. I think that that's really true. I think that like that, the editorial stuff does ultimately dictate what you see in mass markets. And I think that's great. I will say I have been as a passive consumer of Vogue, like less impressed with their content over the past, I don't know, five years. I think it's even just the covers have been a little bit not inspiring.
Starting point is 00:16:27 And like, for instance, when they picked Haley Bieber and there was that whole saga, the actual cover I thought was like kind of meh. And that's just like a small example of how I think they need to do a shakeup. Now, if she retains some power, I don't know how much of a shakeup there will be. I don't know what this means,
Starting point is 00:16:44 like who the next person will be, but I think maybe they are in need of a shakeup there will be. I don't know what this means, like who the next person will be, but I think maybe they are in need of a shakeup. So this could be good for Vogue. Yeah, I think it could be time. I also wouldn't have been surprised if she like never left. Yeah. I just hope that they make like a strong choice, you know, cause it feels like on the one hand,
Starting point is 00:16:59 it's like one foot in, one foot out. And then it's like, okay, so they'll bring someone in as the global head, as the editorial director of Vogue, but she's still the global head of Vogue So like at the end of the day, she's their boss and whatever she says about the covers like it's still gonna have Anna's thumbprint Whereas I'm ready for a new era Like it didn't have to be today could have been in a few years could have been a few years ago
Starting point is 00:17:18 But I think fresh is always good and I agree with you that the last few years have been less than impressive. Like I think British Vogue puts American Vogue to shame these days in terms of like the creative direction of the covers and also the selection of people on the covers. So I think there's a lot of room for growth and New Broom sweeps clean. So it'll just be like very exciting but she will still be in this world in a big way. And also she has a big job at Condé Nast. So it's like, they're not gonna go too sideways cause she is still going to be like approving or not approving the big decisions.
Starting point is 00:17:57 Right. And I think she probably helped to establish like the blueprint that they have now in terms of like the type of people that they pick, what type of stories they pick, what they share on social media. So whether that's like good or bad, you know, you want there to be a change It might be one foot in one foot out. Did you think of Jacqueline Follet when you saw this story? No, I didn't think of it. I really thought of British Vogue and like Edward Enniffle and him like Putting Anna to shame, but I guess this is like a Jacqueline Follet situation And I do hope I hope that the person who comes in,
Starting point is 00:18:27 not that I expect that I would know them, but what I'm looking for, like I kind of wanted to be someone young just so that it's someone who could have a 40-year career at Vogue. Like, and someone who can really make it their own. I don't know that that's what they're gonna do though. I feel like it might just be like someone that Anna has worked with for the last 37 years, like Stanley Tucci coming up,
Starting point is 00:18:47 but he would have been a good choice. Stanley Tucci. Stanley Tucci in the movie. In the movie, like if we're looking at this, like Devil Wears Prada, like I think the Stanley Tucci character would have been a good choice. Let me ask you a question
Starting point is 00:18:58 because you read Andre Leon Talley's book, right? I did, thanks for remembering that about me. He passed away a couple of years ago. Do you think that if he were alive, he would have been a person to take the helm or he sort of distanced himself before he passed away? Well, he did distance himself, but I feel like even in terms of his skillset,
Starting point is 00:19:15 like this person needs to be like, not just like someone with an eye and a creative, but also like a logistical tactical person. And I feel like people like Andre and also Grace, like they are the artists. And I don't know that this is a job for an artist only cause you also need to be a business person. Not that they don't also have those skills,
Starting point is 00:19:34 but sometimes like you gotta let the artists be artists. Right, she was a curator in a lot of ways. Like she was the one selecting the art and making sure it all sort of worked. But like you're also making business decisions about like ad sales and content. And it's not just like the fun of ways, like she was the one selecting the art and making sure it all sort of worked. You're also making business decisions about like ad sales and content. And it's not just like the fun of like, this is beautiful. Let's make something beautiful.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Right, right. Yeah, so I don't know enough about like that industry who works for Conde Nast, who would like take up the helm, but I'm really curious to see who it is. Yeah, I'm really curious too. I don't expect that I'll know their name, but when I see like their body of work and like their experience, I hope to curious too. I don't expect that I'll know their name, but when I see like their body of work and like their
Starting point is 00:20:06 Experience I hope to be impressed and excited but I think in general even though Vogue like lacks a lot in terms of the the magazine and The cover stars and all of that. I feel like their online presence is fine Like, you know, I feel like they're staying abreast in the float like they have their Get ready with me's with the celebrities and the what's in my bags. And like, do you really think that there's so much more that they could or should be doing? Or you feel like they are getting left behind
Starting point is 00:20:32 on social media? No, I don't. I think they have to sort of toggle between like being social media conscious because that's just what everybody does no matter how much you try to avoid it. Like you have to play into the Instagram and the TikTok and the people that are popular there. But I also think it just, they have to be faster both with the covers and with
Starting point is 00:20:49 social, like the fact that they, like you said, British Vogue seems to always pick people who are just like having their moment right now. And I think something about American Vogue, it feels like they're always a little bit delayed when they, when they're picking their talent. Yeah. And I also feel like British Vogue like people and that gives them a stamp of approval. So even if they're not at the mountain peak right now, A-list forever, them being on British Vogue means something and could change their career a little bit. Whereas American Vogue should be like that too.
Starting point is 00:21:16 You shouldn't have to be around the block for so long before you get the cover. Why don't you let us know who we should be influenced by? Long before they've been influencing us for years, Hailey Bieber. Right, that's a good point. You're sort of saying the inverse of what I'm saying, which is like, actually, it shouldn't even be
Starting point is 00:21:34 like a delayed person that we already like. It should be like somebody new or a rising star or like someone in fashion. I think they could do better at like showing us what's in fashion as opposed to trying to like uh mirror what exists in pop culture. Right like the obvious choices even like with Alex Earle on the uh was she on the Turkish cover of Vogue. If that had been American Vogue which I never would expect Vogue to put Alex Earle on the cover because of the way that Vogue is but like if Vogue put Alex
Starting point is 00:22:00 Earle on the cover like that would change her career. Like that would like change the trajectory. And that's what I feel like it used to be. Like you would find people, whether it was models or celebrities and like, you would give, Vogue is one of those outlets, but even like a Calvin Klein campaign where it's like, and now you've made it. And I just feel like they could be doing more of that.
Starting point is 00:22:23 It doesn't have to be Alex Rall in particular exciting people would Ride in the streets if she were on the cover of Vogue But I'm just saying like if that would just change things as opposed to just choosing like the obvious choice who this Doesn't move the needle for agreed even Kim like by the time Kim got on the cover She been Kim I agree except for I remember those photos of her and Kanye in North at the time was like so Major and maybe it was because like I was such a big fan that I was like she got Vogue and maybe the Vogue Readers didn't feel that way. I'm sure they didn't But I I don't know. I thought that was like such an amazing moment in time for sure
Starting point is 00:22:57 But by the time Kim Kardashian got a solo Vogue cover, she was it's like kind of like wait She didn't already have one right? She had already sort of ascended and even the. And even the Kim, Kanye, North photos, like I remember they were not- Parji. Parji. They weren't Parji, that is true. I actually, I never understood why they sort of made Kim look the way that she didn't.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Why did they do that to her? Because she's a beautiful woman. Why did they do that to her? Yeah, yeah, I'm not sure. They don't like her, well, they didn't. Right, I think there's room for improvement is all I'll say, but like she's obviously had a story to career. She's changed the fashion industry, but I look forward. I always like, room for improvement is all I'll say. But like she's obviously having a distorted career. She's changed the fashion industry.
Starting point is 00:23:26 But I look forward. I always like, you know, I like change, but I also like strong decisions, not just like, well, someone's being promoted as the interim editor in chief. And then a few years later, like they slip in someone and they sink. Right. The Kenning, the Ken Jennings Mayan Bialik shtick. Exactly. If they had chosen Ken from the jump, it would have been very exciting. Agreed. And I think he's, I'm a huge Jeopardy fan
Starting point is 00:23:50 and I actually think he's doing great. It took me a while to sort of warm to him, but like, I think he's killing it. Yeah. Yeah. Big Ken fan. And he was always the obvious choice. He was. He was always the obvious choice. And he sort of lacked in the beginning what Alex took a long time to develop,
Starting point is 00:24:05 which was this like, he would not bully, but he would sort of like make fun of the guests in a way that was like very warm and wholesome. And Ken can be kind of stiff. So I could see why it would be hard for him to do that. And I think he's starting to really find his footing. And Jeopardy, like you're doing a great job. If anyone was wondering what my opinion was. Great. I'm so glad we can, after five years, say that. Yeah. After like, when we should have been able to say it like a year later like no time wasted. And like Aaron Rodgers was up for the bid. It was it was it was a mess. As if Aaron Rodgers was ever gonna host Jeopardy. He's still playing football by the way. Yeah. Right. Maybe if he had been the host like this whole Jets Steelers thing would have it never
Starting point is 00:24:40 would have happened because he would have taken the taking the Jeopardy role. No him as the host of Jeopardy is an insane concept. Like maybe when he's 70, but even still, I think he's going to be like in the gym. Or on his trip to Ayahuasca. Yeah, exactly. So this is just exciting to see who will take up the mantle. What do you think it will mean for the Met Gala? I feel like she could still be involved in the Met Gala because it's due to her role at the Costume Institute. Yeah, I think the Met Gala sort of runs itself, honestly. Like there's a formula for who gets invited and sometimes it's confusing.
Starting point is 00:25:13 Why didn't this person get invited? Why did this one? But I think it sort of runs itself and maybe she does help to decide those last people. Like who's gonna choose the theme? I feel like that she was choosing themes. Was she? Was she the curator of the exhibit? No, but I feel like she was working with the exhibit because like whatever the theme is is the theme of the
Starting point is 00:25:32 gala. Right. And it should be famous couples throughout history. It should. But they would never. Maybe, yeah. Maybe the next person is a Josie Grossie stan. Or a toaster. Or a toaster, probably not. I don't think. Between meat. I don't think so. And that's for the best. We're very commercial around here. We're not super editorial.
Starting point is 00:25:53 So we'll just pick out this blue from a pile of stuff. This blue actually. We're both wearing toast merch today. A couple of fashion icons. Yeah, I'm so excited to wear mine. Yeah, I actually haven't worn like a merch, had like a sweatsuit day, but then you were wearing your merch today.
Starting point is 00:26:06 So I was like, OK, I'll wear my merch. What fits this? Our next story, some Golden Bachelor controversy. Because Golden Bachelor star Mel Owens, who is 66, is facing backlash after admitting that he will cut any women over 60. So Mel Owens admitted he's not interested in dating anyone over 60. He said inens admitted he's not interested in dating anyone over 60. He said in
Starting point is 00:26:27 a podcast interview earlier this month that if they're over 60, I'm cutting them. He added that he was frank with producers during the casting process telling them he only wanted women aged 45 to 60, just being honest. He said, this is not the silver bachelor, this is the golden bachelor. They've got to be fit because I stay in shape and work out and stuff and I told producers to try to stay away from the Artificial hips and the wigs. Oh my god, like nasty. It is nasty. That's really nasty. I feel like What like this is the golden I didn't know that you could get older than like he's talking about silver bachelor Yeah on the one hand I didn't know that you could get older than, he's talking about silver bachelor. Yeah. On the one hand, I actually do like a bachelor who wants to shake things up and stand on business
Starting point is 00:27:09 and just say something a little crazy, because it gets people talking. And it is sort of an interesting conversation of, do age preferences, are they still allowed when you're a certain age? And people do this all the time. When you're on Hind or something like that, you can filter out ages.
Starting point is 00:27:22 And it usually relates to, at least from my perspective, like if you're a woman in your 30s and you want someone like age appropriate, you want someone who's like ready to settle down or get married. I haven't heard about like older people having age preferences. I think he could have said this more diplomatically and said I want someone who likes an active lifestyle.
Starting point is 00:27:40 I think he could have kept this to himself and eliminate women over 60 or who seemed over 60 and had an artificial hip and no one would have been sitting there doing the math being like he eliminated the women over 60. Like it just like comes off nasty the way that he said it and maybe he's trying to drum a buzz and I hadn't heard of Mel Owens before and it doesn't make me like necessarily want to watch the Golden Batch more than I already did, but it gets the people going. But like Bachelor typically stays away from, they don't court controversy. They literally like run scared. That's true. I won't be surprised if they fire him. Yeah. I actually, I wondered, I kept reading this article thinking maybe it says like whether he has kids, has he been single for a long time? Because I think people were tweeting like, well, it shows why he's single if he has this sort of attitude about, about age. And also like, who are you? You're 66. Right. It does. I think people were tweeting like, well, it shows why he's single if he has this sort of attitude about age.
Starting point is 00:28:25 And also like, who are you? You're 66. Right, it does. I think anyone, like not to judge or anything, but here I go. Like I think that if he hasn't been like married in his lifetime or like, I don't know about kids, cause you never know,
Starting point is 00:28:38 but like if he hasn't had like a marriage at 66, like that's a red flag. And then he's coming on the bachelor to get married at six. Like, no, you don't, by 66, you are who you are and you're not gonna get married. So I would imagine he has like a past life, but maybe he's single at 66 because he's not being open to women his age.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Right. So not married, red flag, also divorced. Why are we divorced? But it's like, so he wouldn't date Ramona Singer? Maybe, how old is Ramona Singer? Ramona's in her 60s. Yeah, yeah, I don't care for that. I feel like sometimes age is just a number.
Starting point is 00:29:12 Like there could be a woman in her 50s who is older than a woman in, like, you know, everybody ages differently and takes care of themselves differently. Ramona is 68 years old. Yeah. And you're saying that you wouldn't date her? Yeah, I think he's,
Starting point is 00:29:26 not only is he being controversial and frankly rude, but he also is like failing to sort of He's being short sighted. Realize he's being short sighted. Right, like you said, an active 65 year old is maybe healthier or more, you know, what he wants than a not active 40 year old. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Yeah. So I feel like this is not a good 40 year old. I don't know. Yeah. Yeah. So I feel like this is not a good look for him and it's a little rude and he could have gotten away. Like you can have your preferences. There are kind of ways to communicate them. And then also sometimes you could just like keep that shit to yourself.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Yeah. What's he gonna go around asking everyone's age on the first night? I guess he was telling producers, don't even bring these women to me. Okay, but like what if there's a 63 year old who's like crushing it? The producers come like groveling over to him.
Starting point is 00:30:11 Like this woman's great. Take a look at her. I think you'll like her. But then him just being like, I don't know. I just feel like, yes, in general, you want someone like maybe a few years younger than you are. If he's like really kept up with himself over the years, he might see himself as like a 55. So I can understand why in his mind
Starting point is 00:30:27 he's like, okay, I want someone who's in this range, but like to be so exclusionary, like 60, when's your birthday? Like I think that's a little insane. And I would expect a little more maturity from the Golden Bachelor who has historically been a P-Jom. Like this is a role for a P-Jom. Is it is a role for a P-Jom. Is it? Is it not? Well, didn't those two get divorced after three months? I don't remember where we landed on-
Starting point is 00:30:50 Why did they get divorced? I know they tried to cancel Jerry because of the hot tub, but why did they get divorced, him and Teresa? It wasn't working. But was it cause he wasn't a P-Jom or they just like weren't a fit? I'm not sure. To get to me, to go on the Golden Bachelor,
Starting point is 00:31:05 be married for three months, and then get divorced is like, why even bother? No, that was really bad for the brand. Yeah, so maybe he's trying to, I don't know, make a name for the brand in a different way. And he shoots and misses. Yeah, well, OK. We'll see how it goes for him.
Starting point is 00:31:22 I wish him luck. What was the deal with him? We talked about him. I think he's like a former football player or something. Oh really? Yeah, Mel Owens. Yeah, he used to play for the Rams. He, what?
Starting point is 00:31:37 I'm trying to see if he had a wife. It's not coming up, so. Red flag. Yeah, no one with artificial hips. That's making headlines. Yikes. Yikes, Mel, do better. Also, I don't know much about artificial hips, but I feel like if you're someone who has
Starting point is 00:31:51 an artificial hip, it's because you want to have a healthier lifestyle. Well, I've heard that a hip replacement is life changing. And you're robotic in the way you're able to move in a good way. You've got 360 motion. Yeah. You can put these kids to shame. So he he's not thinking clearly clearly, right? I feel like he has a stick like look at Kris Jenner after she got her hip and her face and her He wouldn't he wouldn't take Chris right really new lease on life
Starting point is 00:32:16 Really maybe they'll collab again because remember she collabed with the previous one on I wonder how she feels about this It's an insult to her. Yeah storyline idea for the for the Kardashians. Our next story, speaking of artificial body parts, Leanne Rimes' teeth fell out mid concert. So country singer Leanne Rimes bravely displayed her showmanship when her teeth popped out while performing mid concert. She addressed the accident in a video uploaded to Instagram where she warned all her future concert goers, if you catch them, please return them. She was performing
Starting point is 00:32:49 at a casino in Washington when she felt a pop while singing her 1996 hit one way ticket. She said her front dental bridge fell out and proceeded to run off stage to fix them before completing the rest of the show. This is a state of the union on false teeth. Everybody has them, but it's, I guess, surprising to me that hers would fall out because don't most people get veneers? Yeah. Which are, like, glued onto your teeth.
Starting point is 00:33:15 Yeah. But then I think there is a case for dentures, like, at a certain point. You know, if the fake teeth are not adapting to your mouth and you just sort of want a clean house, let's just let it rip. I think though, if you're a singer, wouldn't you want the option where the teeth
Starting point is 00:33:34 couldn't fall out? But what if she, I'm sure she's, I feel like if you get to this place, and how old is she, that? 50s? Yeah, oh, young enough for Mel Owens. If you get to this place where, like, you have a rack, like, you've been through a lot along the way.
Starting point is 00:33:48 And I have to imagine that, like, permanent veneers haven't worked for her. OK. And I think probably her dental team has considered these things. And you know what? Like, it's fun and funny. So I think it works for her, although maybe it
Starting point is 00:34:02 was embarrassing in the moment. Yeah. And then when they fall out, like on stage at a casino, do you put that back in your mouth? I don't know. Or you just like could sanitize them. Also, can you still sing without your teeth? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:34:21 I think you rely a lot on the linguistics depends on your teeth. So I don't really. I think you rely a lot on the, like, linguistics depends on your teeth. So I don't really. She could hum. Maybe she could yodel. Hit him with a yodel. Yeah, Leanne. Yodel-ay, that is her song. Oh, did you watch the four seasons?
Starting point is 00:34:38 No, did you? Claudia, I think, recommended it on the show. I started it and there's just, I honestly think you would really like it. I'm just echoing that and I'm thinking of it because there's a scene where one of the characters is singing. Does she sing, You're Still the One I Want or is that Shania Twain? Okay, this is like, these two are, those two are the same. Yeah. And Jewel, once you throw Jewel in there. I don't know one Jewel song. I think you probably do. Maybe I've heard it, but yeah,
Starting point is 00:35:00 these are just like. Jewel and Leanne Rimes I feel like are really similar. Should I attain to me like she has. She stands out. Eclipsed this trope and then also Sheryl Crow. It's just a lot, all very similar. Very similar ladies. Well, the dental. She stands out with her dental teeth and also her Brandy Glanville drama and Eddie Cibrian.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Oh yeah, that's right. Yeah. Yeah, well, she took an L here, but it seems like she handled it very well because I would never go on stage again. Yeah, and I don't know how I would handle it, but she drew attention to it, she did an Instagram story,
Starting point is 00:35:35 and then I think that also made it more buzzy because maybe if it fell out at a casino in Washington, people might not have told the press, like could have been our little secret. Don't worry, Leanne, we'll keep your secret. I love that. Yeah, I think that it was handled well. Good luck, Leanne, on future endeavors. I wonder if this will change the the scope of her dental work. Yeah, oh, her dentist is getting a nasty call.
Starting point is 00:35:59 Hopefully no one like finds out, like no one doxes the dentist. Yeah, it's not his fault. It's not his fault. Our next story, some crazy news. Brad Pitt's home was burglarized after thieves entered through a front window and ransacked his property, police says. So please say. Brad Pitt's home in the Los Feliz neighborhood of LA
Starting point is 00:36:19 has allegedly been burglarized. The alleged burglary occurred at approximately 10.30 PM on Wednesday, June 25th. The LAPD told people the suspects broke into the residence via a front window, ransacked the location, then fled the location with miscellaneous property. There were three suspects. They have yet to be publicly identified. He was not home at the time of the burglary. This seems so unavoidable when you're someone in the public eye and people know that you're not home. And it's scary. It happens with football players when they're at games.
Starting point is 00:36:50 Yeah. It obviously happens with, I mean, it happens with like the Beverly Hills people all the time, like when they're home. This could have been worse. He could have been home. It could have been much scarier, but yeah, he's obviously out and about.
Starting point is 00:37:01 He's having a moment and they knew, I guess. Yeah. I guess I've seen a lot of stuff about the F1 premiere. So if you did ask me where Bad Pit was, like I... You'd say not home. I guess, yeah, he was at the premiere of this movie, F1, which all of a sudden everyone's talking about. There's a soundtrack. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:16 They got the works. I don't know when you're this big of a celebrity, like you don't have necessarily round the clock security at your house. Is that like crazy that I think that they should? Or like a house manager or sitter, like someone who would stay at your house to manage the home.
Starting point is 00:37:31 I'm sure it's a large home. Yeah, so I don't know. I don't know. My husband and I were talking about like, what do you think the most valuable things are in his home? I said art. But I don't, one thing that confused me about that show, Your Friends and Neighbors is like, when he was trying to steal art, but I don't, one thing that confused me about that show, your friends and neighbors is like when he was trying to steal art, like, isn't that really hard to resell? Like who
Starting point is 00:37:51 wants to buy art on the black market for that much money? Or does it sort of like pass in tunnels and then it like eventually emerges and someone wants to buy it because it's, oh, this piece. But that part was so unbelievable to me because it's like, I don't understand who would buy stolen art. Yeah, I feel like there is a market, like famous art has been stolen. I think even like the Mona Lisa was stolen for a number of years until it was recovered.
Starting point is 00:38:16 No one like bought it and was hanging in their house because that's very obvious. But I think like the point of that guy in your friends and neighbors who was able to like sell stolen art was that like, he also had a gallery and like, so he has buyers or maybe he has also buyers who don't really care about the origins, they just want great art.
Starting point is 00:38:35 You know, because it's like, yeah, if something was hanging in a gallery, like if you walk into a gallery and there's just a piece of art, like an amazing one of a kind piece there, like you didn't ask where it came from. Maybe not, but if you are wanting to pay the price that they want for the piece or how much it's worth, wouldn't you want like a certificate
Starting point is 00:38:53 that's of a chain of custody of the art? So I don't know. I don't know. But I feel like there is an answer to that. To why people would buy art on a black market. Yeah, or how people who like get it illegally then are able to sell it. And maybe the buyer never even knew that it was illegal.
Starting point is 00:39:13 Yeah. I think it's certainly possible. There was a lot of that with like Jews in Europe had art and then like the Nazis ransacked and stole them. And there were a lot of pieces that have like, even today they're still litigating like the- Women in gold. Right, exactly.
Starting point is 00:39:30 Like the chain of custody of these pieces of art that like it's international law, it gets kind of hairy. But, you know, I hope that nothing like that he really cares about was taken and I'm glad that he wasn't there and it sounds like, you know, they found out and everything. So. Yeah, just really, really crazy. I mean, there's always like, there comes amid a string
Starting point is 00:39:50 of celebrity burglaries and home invasions, which just happened a lot. Yeah, inevitable, like I said. Yeah, very scary. You should watch women in gold separately though. That's a great movie. I haven't seen it. What?
Starting point is 00:40:03 Never seen it. Who's in it? Helen Mirren. I actually think Ryan Reynolds. Dame Helen Mirren? Dame Helen Mirren. I think Ryan Reynolds is in it, which's a great movie. I haven't seen it. What? Never seen it. Who's in it? Helen Mirren. I actually think Ryan Reynolds. Dame Helen Mirren? Dame, I think Ryan Reynolds is in it, which is to his credit. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:40:11 Yeah, I would love to watch it. Yeah, no, you would love it. Cause what were you talking about? There's also like books, historical fiction books about this, I think like Woman on Fire is another one where it's like literally the movie book, different woman, but same story of like- You just always hear this lore of like Jewish families
Starting point is 00:40:28 whose art was taken from them and they haven't been able to recover it because it's like it was lost in war or- Yeah, yeah, stolen. And no, they go to court and then she goes back because it's like her aunt, it's like a Klimt piece, Gustav Klimt. And there was that exhibit for him in New York City too, right?
Starting point is 00:40:45 Was that controversy brought up when that? I think so. I think the movie, like, it actually lives in New York City. But there was also then the one that was like Lumineers or something where it was like more immersive, because there is like a Klimt. You can go see Woman in Gold in New York City. It's like in a museum. But then there was like a more immersive experience.
Starting point is 00:41:07 I think they also did it with like Picasso where they make it like museum of ice cream, Klimt edition. Also cool. Yeah. Our fifth and final story, little Love Island news that's gonna lead into our TV recap.
Starting point is 00:41:19 Cause Love Island USA's Hannah is revealing whether she had a deeper connection with Charlie or Pepe. So, Hannah is now doing press after being dumped from the island. And she's talking about her connections with Charlie versus her connection with Pepe. It's funny they include like people's last names here, but I'm not interested. No, me neither. I just got Charlie's last name, Giorgio. Cute, Italian.
Starting point is 00:41:44 Yeah, British, Italian, Hannah Fields. Okay. I think it's just better if they're one name wonders. Yeah, me too. Anyway, she said that she had a super mature connection with Pepe. She said, I think my connections with both of them were very different and maybe it would have played out differently if Charlie was still there. But I saw a completely different side of Pepe after Charlie left and I maybe would have
Starting point is 00:42:02 never known that about him. Many of her and Pepe's sweeter moments were not really shown, she said. Our connection was not really shown, but literally everyone was always taking pictures of us and being like, oh my gosh, so cute. She says she had a really mature connection with him, but we were also super silly.
Starting point is 00:42:15 Yeah, that's what I gathered. I feel like they showed that, how Charlie and her were the obvious connection. And then with Pepe, it was a slower burn in the sense that it took a day. But then when they did get on the same page, like she was making him fun and lighthearted and he was making her go a little deeper. Yeah. I have to speak. I don't want to speak for Claudia, but I can and that she loves Pepe. Claudia loves Pepe. We like text about Love Island
Starting point is 00:42:39 all the time and she was like, Pepe and Grayson, hard eyes emoji. It's like, literally said no one. Right, no one's paying attention to him anymore. No one's paying attention to Grayson either. No, I don't know which one. Is she the blonde one? Yeah. Oh yeah, people were saying that she kind of like looks like Hannah a little bit, so it sort of makes sense. I do think that this is possible with the show is that we're not seeing a lot of these connections
Starting point is 00:43:00 play out. We can't, they literally film them 24 hours a day. There's 35 people to keep track of now. Right, so I mean, no matter what she says, even if she has a really strong connection with Pepe, like the way that she moved was a little bit questionable. And I think it's reasonable for people to say like, well, you kind of jumped from one to the other quite fast. But I believe that like they ultimately had a connection,
Starting point is 00:43:19 like they don't have anything else to do. I think that if Hannah went from Charlie to the next day, she went on a date with Pepe, like that had to happen. I think it would, and she connected with Pepe and all was good. I think viewers would have no issue with it. I think it was the sex the next night. That was so crazy.
Starting point is 00:43:37 Quite crazy. I mean, she wanted comfort after Charlie left. Yeah, so I think that everything, that just made it like very stark, like literally crying over Charlie the night before, but the photo is very dramatic. And then the next- Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, the photo.
Starting point is 00:43:50 Maybe it was two nights later, or I don't know what it was in Villa time. I'll give it up to three to whatever, a couple nights later, having sex with Pepe. Yeah. In the bunk house. Yeah. Extreme.
Starting point is 00:44:04 I'll say. So let's talk about last night's episode because we got some answers on Nick and Alandria. They did not leave the island. They went on a date and they were offered the chance to recouple as a couple together or go home single and separate and go back into the villa, which they did. And right before they went back to the villa, which they did.
Starting point is 00:44:25 And right before they went back to the villa, Nick said, you know what, Elanjie, like I wanna take this time to get to know you like on a romantic level. Like I've been feeling something this whole time and now we have a chance to explore it. They also got to swap information about what's been happening in the villa and Kassin.
Starting point is 00:44:40 That was just like fun to see. And it really feels like the producers are are scripting the show based on what people on Twitter are saying and what people on Twitter want. And on the one hand, I watch Nick's like, Professor's Love for Orlandia. I was like, wow, Nicol Andrea Stans have been right. And I feel like every recap I do on the show, I've been like mentioning Nicol Andrea Stans for some reason. There's a million things I see, but I'm just like, that's how crazy people are. There's Nicol things I see, but I'm just like, that's how crazy people are. There's Nick Landria fan edits. And either they were right, or producers just really want the vocal people on Twitter
Starting point is 00:45:09 to like the season because they orchestrated everything to put Nick and Alandria together, which they've done. I think they threw so much shit at the wall this season. I think this is the one that sticks. Because when you think about how it plays out, it's like Nick and Alandria, what happens with Sierra? Sierra and Elandria are friends. Like they're two of the, I think, besides Huda,
Starting point is 00:45:28 maybe the only OGs standing. Shelly too. Oh, and Shelly. But my point is like, Sierra is gonna be devastated. She's kind of not really feeling Elan enough to pursue that. And I think that this opens up. But also, I don't think Elandria necessarily did anything wrong.
Starting point is 00:45:42 Like I see people being mad at her, like she's disloyal, but it's like, I don't think so at all. I don't think Elandre necessarily did anything wrong. Like I see people being mad at her, like she's disloyal, but it's like, I don't think so at all. I don't think any of the couples were strong enough for them to like not be able to speak to or get to know other people. I don't think Elandre has done anything wrong either. Like it will devastate Sierra, but that's this show.
Starting point is 00:45:58 Like that's exactly what it is. And everyone's doing what they were supposed to do. I just thought it was really sad, the juxtaposition of Sierra, like not going all in on Alon because she's still thinking about Nick. Meanwhile, Nick is moving in on her best friend. Yeah, and also the Taylor stuff. Taylor noticeably didn't go to hug Alandria
Starting point is 00:46:16 when he saw that Alandria and Nick were both back in the villa, like he zoomed right to Nick and people made note of that because it's like the girl that you were coupled up with, you just totally ignored her. And maybe he feels awkward because he's with Clark but I think Elandria like still likes him. Which is so crazy to me. I look forward to the dissolution of Elandria and Taylor like it's not been giving me anything
Starting point is 00:46:37 and I like her so much and I like her and Nick are fan favorites so them being together if it is real, works for me. And that's a winning couple because they have overcome adversity. It was the whole time I was looking at you or looking at me, they did always pick each other to kiss in the challenges. Like maybe those edits weren't so crazy after all.
Starting point is 00:46:56 So like that is a storyline that like could win this show whereas we have not seen anything else like that. And Taylor and Alangea like, she deserves someone who likes her. He anything else like that. And Taylor and Alangea, like, she deserves someone who likes her, he did not like her. And like watching them was just like frustrating and boring. And then like them, it's actually been four weeks now. Like in the beginning, it's like, listen,
Starting point is 00:47:14 you don't want to jump all in with someone like girl, I get it. But four weeks and on Villa time, that's a really long time. And if he's still not, if you guys aren't progressing and he can't like give you anything It's not it and the fact that we now see him with Clark being a completely different person Well now we know yeah that he just wasn't that into her Yeah, and I think he was like trying to tell he's like set it to ace at one point
Starting point is 00:47:39 But I don't know they just kept saying no there, they're so strong, they're the best. And I'm really glad, I really hope this chapter is over and done with. Yeah, do you think Alandria likes Nick? I think Alandria is very authentic in the things that she says. So I don't think she will pretend to like Nick if she doesn't.
Starting point is 00:48:00 I think she's open to it. I think she was really shocked to hear him say these things. I do wonder if a producer is telling Nick to say these things like, hey, listen, this is your shot. Everyone on Twitter wants you and Elandria to be together. And I wanna be surprised if he's like, oh, I love that. Like, I really, I did like her.
Starting point is 00:48:15 Or like, I think she's so cute and I think she's so great. Like, I'll do it, sure. I don't think Elandria would just do something to be on the show. Like, she's a very principled person. So I think she will give it a spin, but if at the end of the day she's not into it, she will tell us. And if she does say that she's into it, I will believe her.
Starting point is 00:48:33 She has earned credibility. I think that also the way that this played out sort of gave credence to the idea that the producers get involved in the eliminations, even when the islanders are seemingly the ones deciding and it's not just fan voted because when you think about it, it's like if Those were the two people eliminated and they made it seem like this get-together hideaway date happened right after the eliminations It was dark during the eliminations this happened right after that Like do you think that they the producers actively somehow? Manipulated the Islanders to pick those two people so that this would all take place because otherwise
Starting point is 00:49:04 How would they have like set up the date that fast? Yes, but also it's like, okay, so what if Amaya was eliminated with Nick? That's what I'm saying. She wouldn't have been. Right, they would have gone to the highway, they would say, you wanna be in a couple
Starting point is 00:49:15 and we're supposed to be excited about? That's like the worst couple ever. Right. What if like Austin were eliminated? It was between Austin and Nick to be eliminated because Jaden was choosing. And it was between Alandria and Amaya. So all it had to take was a producer saying to Jaden,
Starting point is 00:49:30 you should go with Austin. Nick is going, there's gonna be an elimination tomorrow. Nick is gonna choose Sierra and you're going home. And even, and I said, I think Jaden only chose Austin so she can stay on because Nick is at riskier choice. But even she said last night, she chose Austin, she likes him, whatever she said, I feel safe with him. And I feel like that was like a safety about the show.
Starting point is 00:49:51 Her position on the show. Yeah, so I don't think it took much for a producer to convince her to go with Austin. And I don't think it took much for a producer to convince Zach to go with Amaya. Plus like Amaya is giving it to him. Like she's like down and again, she's a safe choice because she's untethered to the house.
Starting point is 00:50:07 So like, yeah, sure, we'll do that. There was a stark contrast between Alandria and Amaya and Zach and Amaya was like a little desperate but like she was really saying like, I like you. I wanna make this work, we're kissing. I think Amaya will like anyone who likes her and in an earnest way, like all she wants is to be loved. Like if Ace had been kind to her,
Starting point is 00:50:26 she would have been happy with Ace. If Austin liked her more, she would have been happy to be with Austin. I think if Zach likes her, and I don't think that's even like phony. Like I think she just is a person who like loves love and loves to be loved. And maybe like down the line,
Starting point is 00:50:38 like months into a relationship, she'd be like, actually, this is not what Amaya wants. But I think right now Amaya wants us like just to be wanted. And like, and also assuming like you're a good, handsome person, yeah, cool, this is not what Amaya wants. But I think right now, Amaya wants this, like, just to be wanted. And like, and also assuming like you're a good, handsome person. Yeah, cool. Let's go. Do you like Amaya? Like, no, I'm not entertained. Like, I don't dislike her. There's nothing to dislike. She's obviously a sweet soul.
Starting point is 00:50:54 I am not entertained by her. Like when Natalie was here, she was like, oh, my God, she's so funny. She says the funniest stuff. I'm like, I'm not even paying attention. Like when people are like, she said, what was, opportunity. I'm like, I'm not even listening. I heard gratitually, but like, I'm not paying them. Or they're like quoting her confessionals back to me. I'm like, I'm not listening.
Starting point is 00:51:16 Like, I don't know, she doesn't like pull me in. She seems like a sweet girl, but I'm not like sat for everything she has to say. Like I am with other people. I'm not sat for everything she has to say, like I am with other people. I'm not sat for everything she has to say, but I do think like the edits that people make of her are hilarious because she kind of just speaks in a strange, she says words weirdly. And I was talking about how she randomly dropped the word tachycardic in an interview and I was like, oh, she kind of, but is she a nurse?
Starting point is 00:51:40 She is a nurse. Okay. So then that's a word that she like uses frequently, but it just, it was a funny juxtaposition of like using that word and then saying, opportunity and gratitude, incorrectly, those feel. What do you think about, do you like her? I like her, I like her. Okay, if she got eliminated, would you be sad? Yeah, because I think she adds something to the show.
Starting point is 00:51:56 I think she's like silly. I'm not necessarily, I don't necessarily want her to win, although I don't think that matters that much. I think people would be like so excited if she won. That would be so crazy to me. It would be crazy. And I don't know who she, I guess now she's with Zach K. So they would probably be the winning couple.
Starting point is 00:52:09 I do like her. I think she like add something. I think in the beginning, I thought she was really crazy. And she was, her whole thing with Ace was crazy. But I think that she's just like, she's harmless is what I would say. I agree. I agree.
Starting point is 00:52:20 But like, it's not my favorite form of entertainment. Yeah. Who else? The challenge was insane, per usual. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, they're doing cheerleading pyramids. They're having an orgy. Yeah, it was crazy. And you were saying offline that it was like amusing
Starting point is 00:52:36 that everybody was doing, it's so embarrassing when you're doing so much in those challenges and then you lose. Yeah. It's very embarrassing. No, Huda was in two out of three. She did three separate, like she was called on thrice and the first two times she didn't win and like she was doing the most.
Starting point is 00:52:54 Like that's really embarrassing. And then the third one she won, but like seriously we were getting to a place of a live blow job last night. Yes. People were seriously licking parts. Yes, it wasn't very godly. I'll say that.
Starting point is 00:53:04 Like next one, if they did one more, like someone was going to get naked. What's crazy about this show too is do you, you've watched before, so you know about the heart rate challenge. I love that challenge and it is so over the top sexual, but like I think it's good because it's like it's contained and we all look forward to it
Starting point is 00:53:20 and because it doesn't happen so much throughout the course of the show. So when there's the heart rate challenge, you're like, oh my God, everyone's like making out with each other who like gets, and this whole season takes the sting out of something like that, because every challenge is beyond, more sexual than anything I've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:53:35 And now I know people say that like on Love Island UK and seasons past, it was so raunchy, it was so crazy. They were smoking, they were drinking. I couldn't see Molly and Tommy doing any of this. Well, that is, I think the first two seasons of Love Island UK were crazy from what I hear. I didn't watch. By season five, it wasn't so crazy anymore.
Starting point is 00:53:52 And I think that's actually one of the reasons it's been such a popular season, not just because of Molly and Tommy, but because they were able to like really make drama without all that crap. And this is like the other side of the spectrum where it's like, okay, I understand it's a sexual show, that's fine with me, like I sign up for watching that,
Starting point is 00:54:10 they come in their bikinis and their heels, but it's like, it's just too much, too much. And Claudia saying that she was like embarrassed to watch it with Ben, I can't watch it with Chris, it's embarrassing, like yeah, it's too much. No, it is too much, it's beyond the pill. They come in bikinis and heels, but the bikinis have gotten smaller.
Starting point is 00:54:26 Now, no one is wearing like a bottom. Everyone's wearing thongs. Like, soon they will be naked. It's just, it's a lot. And I agree, the heart rate challenge is pointless at this point. Like nothing that they've done could be crazier. Nothing that they could do could be crazier
Starting point is 00:54:40 than the things that they've done. Did you talk about the twerking challenge on this show? I don't know. I don't think so. Because I know that this is gonna go against everything I just said, but I was like kind of obsessed with it. No, that was fun. It was fun and it was dancing. It was dancing, it was singular.
Starting point is 00:54:53 No one was actually touching each other. So it was just like, who's the best dancer? And like, yeah, some things got like sexual, but like it was like, you know, teetering on and then it comes back and then Austin comes and he's just being silly and it was like combination of silly, sexy, fun, like that's what it should be. There's not a lot of silliness,
Starting point is 00:55:07 there's not a lot of fun. It's just, and the fact that these couples do not kiss or make out or get intimate really during the day, some do at night, but most of them just turn and face the wall and put on their eye mask. And then when the challenge comes, they're all porn stars is so crazy to me.
Starting point is 00:55:25 It's disorienting. That's true. Like you never kiss the person that you're interested in, but you do have dry sex with the entire house. I don't think that's a thing. I don't think they're that interested in, I don't think there's that many people that are that interested in each other,
Starting point is 00:55:39 or else they would be kissing. I agree. Out of the challenge. That's also a problem with the show, is like that makes people, you know, disloyal, because it's like, I don't care. agree, that's also a problem with the show is like that makes people disloyal because it's like, I don't care, okay, who's here? Cool, bye. But we need some solid couples, like it is Love Island.
Starting point is 00:55:52 There's not a lot of love. And so like the only people who I think truly like someone are Sierra liking Nick. I think Nick likes Sierra. I think so too. Yeah, not as much as she likes him, clearly. That's come up now multiple times. I think Alandria liked Taylor,
Starting point is 00:56:08 but even her version of liking someone does not mean like we're gonna be making out all the time. And I appreciate that. And I truly respect it. But like, you know, a kiss. When they kiss, it's like the biggest deal. And it's just a peck on the lips. Like it's, even I'm like, what?
Starting point is 00:56:23 Yeah. Other people who like each other. Well now everyone's separate from their original. But I also feel like everyone in Casa more, like the girls are kind of saying, like Huda, what's going on with Huda? Like she's, this is supposed to be her time to shine. Where's the connection? I guess people are tired of her.
Starting point is 00:56:40 Who's she with? JD, we talked about this yesterday. But like they don't show us, like what's going on there? They had that one conversation about her asking him how he feels about kids and he said it doesn't matter which to me like that's not what you should be saying. But I also don't like how they came to Casa and they had to get coupled up in Casa because like Huda, someone who's single like Huda should be able to explore every single guy without
Starting point is 00:57:00 stepping on toes. Chris doesn't belong to Shelly. Like T, I don't know the name. Zach doesn't belong to, like everyone should be talking to everyone. I don't like that they coupled up because it feels like you either have to make it work with the person you're coupled up with, which is completely based on looks, or you're stepping on toes.
Starting point is 00:57:17 Like if someone wanted to go talk to Chris, like that would be weird. Even though Shelly has a boyfriend back at the house and Chris is completely fair game. So I'm not liking the format. I'm not really liking any of it. I feel like producers are very, and the thing about the show,
Starting point is 00:57:32 are there cameramen in the villa or it's all drones and stationary cameras? I think there might be cameras when they do recouplings because something about that gives like they're revolving around them, but generally I think it's just you see it's like CCTV. Yeah, yeah, which I think is really good. You get everything on camera. They are able to feel like their natural selves. There's not a camera in their face, but then where are the producers like so they often have meals off camera, right?
Starting point is 00:57:59 I think that's when they just saw a reel this morning. That was like fun facts about love Island. I was like the Islanders are only allowed to cook themselves one meal. It's usually breakfast, which by the way, this whole breakfast thing has become insanely stupid. A little silly. Right, like it's like this whole production, it's like, and it means so much.
Starting point is 00:58:13 It's like, and everyone thinks they're like crushing it. Last season, there was a great scene where there was a couple who were on the Fritz after Casa Amor. Do you know this? I've been seeing it because. Serena like threw her eggs. She threw her eggs.
Starting point is 00:58:24 And I remember everyone was like, yes. And I thought that was like a little much, but yeah, that was a big breakfast scandal. Like making the most out of breakfast. And it's like, you guys don't even know each other. And it's like, oh, but I have to make the breakfast. And then the other two meals are provided, they're brought in by production and they eat.
Starting point is 00:58:42 Off camera, I think that's when they do talk to the producers, but I don't know how much the producers are telling them about the outside world or what they think they should be doing. I don't know. I'm starting to feel like they're telling them a lot. Also, the confessionals, I often get the sense
Starting point is 00:58:55 that the producers are saying, okay, say it this way, because sometimes they come off way more articulate in their confessionals than they do in their conversations, which could just be human. Sometimes when you're just talking to camera, you have more time to think about what you wanna say, but sometimes I'm like, you don't sound the same as when you're talking to that guy.
Starting point is 00:59:09 For sure. And producers are definitely asking questions in there. Yes, that's true. Direct questions, they wanna know answers. And that's good, that's like good television production. I'm fine with that. But it does feel like Nick is a production plan at this point.
Starting point is 00:59:22 And I'm open to all of it having been true. And he was like, wait, they like that? I like her and like, but I'm also open to, he's like, let's make a show. Let's make great television. So I'm skeptical and I think that's fair. Last night's episode was fine because like nothing stupid happened.
Starting point is 00:59:41 No one got sent home prematurely. So I don't feel any rage today. And it was also an hour, which was key as opposed to an hour and a half. Yeah, that's good. I look forward to the houses coming back together, even though like- There's 50 people.
Starting point is 00:59:56 There's 50 people. So what's the core drama that Sierra, Nick and Alondria, who was Shelly gonna choose? Seeing those two next to each other is gonna be crazy. Chris and Ace. Did you catch him talking about it last night? I don't remember when it came up, but they were talking about how someone in CASA
Starting point is 01:00:14 was like six foot seven and Ace was like, I don't care. No, Alondria told Nick that Shelly's talking to a guy who's six foot seven. Nick told Ace, Shelly's talking to a guy who's six foot seven and Ace was like, I don't care. And the boys were like, yeah, Ace doesn't care. I'm sorry. Like there's no way that that's-
Starting point is 01:00:30 That he doesn't care. That he doesn't care. And that like, when you see that in real life, that it's not gonna be stark. How tall do you think Ace is? Five, eight. So a foot difference. Why? The guy's six, seven?
Starting point is 01:00:44 He's six, seven. Six, seven is a crazy height. Why, the guy is six, seven? He's six, seven. Six, seven is a crazy height. That's really tall. It's not just like he's a taller guy, Ace is a shorter guy. He is extremely tall. And compared to the other guys on the show, Ace is short.
Starting point is 01:00:55 Right. The memes will kind of go crazy. The memes will go crazy. I think they literally are laughing to themselves in the production room. And it's unfortunate that Ace has sort of, like people have turned on him and don't like him because I don't think any people would make as big of a deal of it as they would if he weren't, like, he was, he's acting short. Like his personality is short. He's being,
Starting point is 01:01:17 like he has a Napoleon complex, I think. So. Yeah. Even though like Napoleon accomplished greatness and like it's, I don't know, I think that term like isn't entirely it's a misnomer Yeah, it's not entirely accurate accurate and where I stand with ace right now Like I don't hate him as much as everyone does either I had a moment where I did dislike him and I still don't understand why he chose amaya at that recoupling and like If I ever talk to anyone from love island, like that's the only thing Well, of course, why'd you vote the way you did? Who was leading the discussions?
Starting point is 01:01:45 Of course, like we're getting down to the, why did Amaya, Ace choose Amaya at that second recoupling? He was trying to play hard to get, I think, with Shelley. He was still in the triangle with Shelley and Austin. Although then you have the question of whether they're like manipulating all of this for the viewers. If they weren't, I think he wanted to show Shelley like, okay, like you do your thing, I'll do mine.
Starting point is 01:02:04 But like, but Shelley didn't do anything to make him feel like, okay, like you do your thing, I'll do mine. And then- But Shelly didn't do anything to make him feel like, okay, you do that. Like, you know, she was really down for him. And if it wasn't for Ulyssa, they would have been the couple. I forgot about that. I saw a tweet that was like,
Starting point is 01:02:15 all of this is Ulyssa's fault. I forgot, she was in a couple with Ace and then Ace was single? Shelly was in a couple with Ace and then Ace was single? Shelly was in a couple with Ace. She chose Ace at the first podium. Okay. But Ulyssa went next and she was able to knock Shelly off. Oh, I see.
Starting point is 01:02:33 And that put Shelly with Austin and Ulyssa with Ace. Okay. Yeah. So they had to- They would have been the couple, like from the jump. Yeah. If not for Ulyssa. I have no memory of who was originally coupled.
Starting point is 01:02:46 Like that stuff leaves my memory so fast. And when someone was like, well, Alondria and Nick did, she did go and kiss him at the first. And then when they're like, ace hates Jeremiah because Jeremiah gave someone his, you Lissa, his cheek. Jeremiah coupled up with Huda early in the first couple. And he liked Huda apparently. So when another girl came to kiss him on his podium,
Starting point is 01:03:10 he gave his cheek, which made him look really good and made Huda be like, oh, okay, like locked in. Love bombing, apparently. And then the other girl that you, and that was Ulyssa, the other guy that Ulyssa had kissed was Ace. She kissed Ace first, he was coupled up with Shelly. Ace went in for the kiss, great. Then she gets nothing from Jeremiah.
Starting point is 01:03:29 So one, it makes Ace look bad. Like, oh, we could have done that. We could have just stood by the girl if we like the one and we're happy with him. And it's like, so of course Ulysses is gonna choose Ace because Jeremiah just said no. So that's what people think is Ace's villain origin story. In addition to having a crush on Huda to begin with,
Starting point is 01:03:45 which I don't think is true. Unless, I don't know, maybe the shorty wants a shorty. Yeah. And also eliminating Jeremiah in that process, people think he just, he was jealous and wanted him out. Yeah. Yeah. But like, why does Ace hate Jeremiah so much? Like what, like, cause he does hate him and he was so fixated on him for like the few days that he was there. Why? People think it's the Ulyssa thing that he like that. I don't think so. What do you think?
Starting point is 01:04:12 I think that he saw that Jeremiah was getting like a lot of the attention and he wanted the intention or he wanted Huda. I don't think it says I agree with the tension. I don't think it's that he wanted Huda, but I could be wrong. I think the Ulyssa thing is making sense. Like he made him look bad. He made him look bad. And it like forced Ulyssa to choose Ace and break up Ace's couple with his already existing girlfriend.
Starting point is 01:04:33 Happy Valentine's Day, Shelly. I see. Okay. That's what I think. Okay. Another episode tonight. Friday. Yes.
Starting point is 01:04:41 Yeah, they said, and they showed us, Kassa's coming back. Yes. So we'll see. We'll see. Now it is time for dear to and they showed us, Kassa's coming back. Yes. So we'll see. We'll see. Now it is time for Dear Toasters. You guys, we did it.
Starting point is 01:04:49 We certainly have time for Dear Toasters. I'm going to do two Dear Toasters with Sliz. I'm ready. Because we did one with Craig. So we're breaking it up. Okay, here we go. I really have to listen. Like when I'm listening on the podcast,
Starting point is 01:05:01 I'm like, I didn't hear what that person said. No, I do that same with Claudia. I might back it up. Like I'm still talking about you, I'm like, I didn't hear what that person said. No, I do that same with Claudia. I'm like, back it up. Like I'm still talking about you, Lissa. Dear Toasters, please help. I'm married to an actual Pete John, but I have consistent dreams about leaving him for a guy I dated years ago.
Starting point is 01:05:15 To be honest, I've always wondered what would happen if I ended up with that guy, but having these dreams is making me feel such guilt I wanna cry. I love my husband because he's so loyal, honest, a great father to our daughter. I almost want to tell one of my girlfriends to get this off my chest,
Starting point is 01:05:28 but I feel like it's such a weird thing. What do I do? I don't think you have to feel guilty at all. I think it's sweet that you do, but like you told your girlfriends, us. And so it's like, it's, I think that this probably happens to a lot of people and I don't think it means that you don't like your husband.
Starting point is 01:05:42 I think it's just like, your dreams hold onto things in a weird way. And if you have some fixation about this, like old love, I think that's probably pretty common, honestly. Probably common. I think like your mind's playing tricks on you. And I don't know how you can like change the things that you dream about. But like I find whatever I'm watching or I'm reading like that, like last night I was dreaming about, oh, I was packing.
Starting point is 01:06:03 So I was dreaming about suitcases. And every time I flipped over, I'm like, the suitcase, the suitcase. Not saying to pack to go somewhere, but if you get into a really intense show or something, or even Love Island, that just sort of starts to, and then you start to think about that when you dream. Do you find?
Starting point is 01:06:15 Yes. Also, if you read romance novels and you think, oh, life is supposed to be that way with a partner or whatever, with your husband, it's not. Marriages can get stale. So if there's something actionable you wanna do, you don't have to, but if you like want to try to avoid these dreams,
Starting point is 01:06:32 I would maybe say like, go on a trip with your husband. I don't know, try and shake it up. Because if you're feeling like maybe that's stale and you feel bad, you're not doing anything wrong. You can't control your dreams. You can't control your dreams. And I would just say like, do not make any decisions based on your dreams.
Starting point is 01:06:47 Your dreams should not guide you to do anything. No, I completely agree. Right, just like a romance novel. It's a fantasy book. Like that's not like, oh, well now I have to change my life and move to a small town to find love. Yeah, you seem thoughtful.
Starting point is 01:07:00 And it's good that you're thinking about it, but I don't think that this is meaningful at all. I agree. And we got to shake up the dream, shake up the subconscious. Yeah. They're definitely just messing with you. Spice things up with your husband.
Starting point is 01:07:13 Oh, yeah. Yeah. Hi, girlies. I have a pretty short to your toasters, but I'm sincerely conflicted. One of my best friends has been dating a loser for the past two years, where she is totally out of his league in every way possible.
Starting point is 01:07:24 She has expressed her doubts in the past, ever since he moved for her she has pretended everything is perfect. We recently found out that every one of her friends from all different friend groups has the same stance that he's a total weirdo, lazy, inconsiderate, uggo, and that they should break up. Do we as friends tell her that everyone hates her boyfriend or is that just totally not our place? Also we are mid-20s so this could be looking at marriage soon. You don't say anything. No. Not unless she asks you again. Like she asked you like back or is that just totally not our place? Also, we are mid 20s, so this could be looking at marriage soon. You don't say anything. No. No.
Starting point is 01:07:46 My opinion. Not unless she asks you again. Like she asked you, like back in the day, before he moved, she would complain about him. Like she would talk about it. Like conversation was open. Right now conversation is closed.
Starting point is 01:07:57 I would not bring it up. And okay, I literally don't care if every single one of her friends doesn't like him and you don't like him. You're not dating him first of all. So it literally doesn't matter what you think. Now he might objectively just be a bad guy and she shouldn't be with him,
Starting point is 01:08:10 but that might not be the case. He might just not be for you or for them, coincidentally not for anyone around you guys, but she's your friend, you trust her. Yeah, she has free will. This is what she's chosen. No one's making her do this. You didn't say anything
Starting point is 01:08:22 that is a complete red flag weirdo. I go lazy. Those adjectives are not that is a complete red flag, weirdo. Ugo, lazy. Those adjectives are not- Honestly, I'm judging you for calling someone weird. What does he do? Who makes you the arbiter of cool? What does he do? Right.
Starting point is 01:08:32 Ugo, excuse me. You don't call people ugly. No. It's not nice. No, and it's irrelevant. He can't control it. Imagine saying, I don't like your boyfriend because he's ugly. He's ugly.
Starting point is 01:08:40 No. Are you 12? The lazy thing, it's sort of irrelevant now. I don't know, if they have kids one day and he's lazy, he's not helping. Even then, I don't think you should say anything. But for right now, it's like, what are they doing? No, and it's like, that's her problem. So what you're worried, I don't know, this gives a little bit like focus on yourself,
Starting point is 01:08:58 mind your own business. Inconsiderate, I do feel like if inconsideration was such an issue, you would have shared an anecdote and I'm not getting any. Well, maybe they wanted to keep it short. I do feel like if this in consideration was such an issue, you would have shared an anecdote. And I'm not getting any, like I'm not here. Well, maybe they wanted to keep it short. Yeah, but it's not, it's pretty much average length. It's like, you know, a nice paragraph. So I feel like you guys are being a little judgmental.
Starting point is 01:09:16 And sometimes like, I think mid twenties are an interesting time because like, some people are getting serious. Some people are not. Some people are like waiting for the perfect person. Some people are realizing that's not a real thing and we're gonna have a make it work moment. Yeah, and you also have to think this through,
Starting point is 01:09:30 I think a lot of people don't, my advice is usually never say anything unless there's like legitimate abuse or something serious. But like what if you say something and then these people get married? And then like you always know that you said to your friend like your husband's lazy and ugly and then- No, and like I think you going with those criticisms
Starting point is 01:09:46 are not real strong criticisms to actually bring to a friend. Like if there were other things that were more serious, and we've seen ones where it's like, I know he cheated on you. Then it's like, do you tell, do you say? And I do think that you do. This is not that, this is your opinion. Nobody asked.
Starting point is 01:10:01 If she does ask, you're welcome to share it if you wanna ruin your friendship potentially, but unless she asks, shut your mouth. Yeah, and I also, I think it's a little bit, not to like totally just shit on this writer, but like- It's hard not to sometimes. It's hard not to, like you don't, like going around and talking to all of this girl's friends
Starting point is 01:10:18 who I imagine you're probably not friends with all of those people. Right, she said, like how did you guys all like get it together without her to come to the conclusion? I don't care for that. I think it's fine to have your opinions and, you know, girls talk and maybe you talk with your mutual friends about it and say, you know, I don't really get along with that guy, but that's not what you said. So I challenge you to be a little bit more optimistic, maybe. And I think this is part of growing up is like realizing that not everyone's going to choose a partner that you would choose for them or that you would choose for yourself.
Starting point is 01:10:45 And just nodding your head, maybe we're not all gonna be like best friends double date all the time, that's not in your future. Like relationships change. That's a sad one to swallow, especially mid twenties. I think not everyone in the group is on that page. I think there's also, I'm not saying that this was where this person
Starting point is 01:11:02 was coming from, but there can always be jealousy. Like I think at this age where a lot of people start to couple up or like, you know, find long-term partners and other people aren't, and it's really hard. And so sometimes you just like your worst self sort of gets in the way of clear thinking. So I don't know. I agree. You know what? We're going to do a third one because I do have a third one. I think it's a good one. And I feel like we have time. OK.
Starting point is 01:11:22 Dear Swirly's, long time toaster first time submission. I love you both so much. I've been married for 10 years and we have time. Okay. Dear Swirly's, long time toaster, first time submission. I love you both so much. I've been married for 10 years and we have three beautiful children. I just found out that he has been talking and sexting with a woman, with women on a website for extra marital affairs. You know the one, A.M. Ashley Madison.
Starting point is 01:11:37 Yeah. Who even knew that was still a thing. Yeah, not me, I thought I shut down. Well, it is. He said he hasn't had sex with anyone and has never met with these women in person. One of the women's husbands reached out to me and told me everything and that I thought I shut down. Well, it is. He said he hasn't had sex with anyone and has never met with these women in person. One of the women's husbands reached out to me and told me everything and that's how I found out. My husband said it was true. Love a confused and mad toaster.
Starting point is 01:11:52 This is really hard because I tend to side with you when you think about a marriage and children that you don't want divorce. Divorce can be so messy. It's so hard on kids. But it's also like, I don't know, how do you trust him? And he didn't independently tell her, he didn't feel guilty and say, by the way, like I have to get this off my chest. I guess glad that he admitted it. He at least came clean, you didn't have to keep digging,
Starting point is 01:12:17 find proof, show it in his face. And I also like, I don't really believe that he didn't meet up with this person. Like what would have stopped him from doing that? Maybe, I don't know. When I did watch Ashley Madison's documentary, I just wanna say like, that was a thing. Like of just men talking to women, sexting,
Starting point is 01:12:33 and not actually getting together with them. It also turned out that a lot of the women profiles on Ashley Madison were bots. It was actually Ashley Madison just like keeping these men engaged. I don't know how much of that there was. The documentary kind of lost me with that. Cause it's like, well, what if they wanted to get together? And then it's I don't know how much of that there was, the documentary kind of lost me with that. Cause it's like, well, what if they wanted to get together?
Starting point is 01:12:47 And then it's about like how much of this was, I think maybe that happened a little bit where they were like creating profiles to keep men engaged. But I think there were also like real live women, but there was a couple of people where it was like, some people had affairs, yes. Other people just used it for like talking
Starting point is 01:13:04 and never got to that next level. I think it's such a, like I imagine that even if you work full time, you are like the number one primary caregiver of the children. I feel like that's often how it is for mothers, even when you think, like it just, it breaks my heart when there's like, you're married 10 years,
Starting point is 01:13:21 you have three children and like, this is what your husband's doing. I understand that like sometimes maybe men feel lonely or I don't know what it is that causes them to do that. But I would say, I guess you should probably try to work on it, whether that's therapy or a rabbi, I don't know, like just talk to somebody because I do think a 10 year long relationship
Starting point is 01:13:39 is worth working on. I agree, worth the effort, the three kids is worth it. I think there are ways, like there are instances where people can change and like be rehabilitated from something like this. Even one of the couples on the Ashley Madison documentary was like really bad. They were a family channel and he was like, I think, I don't even know if he met up with women. I think that he did, but it was like serial cheating and they wound up working through it and staying together and they're in the documentary together and
Starting point is 01:14:04 it was actually a really nice ending. So I'm hoping for that for you. But I think it will require like a lot of work on him alone, on you guys together, like to build back. The trust was one thing, but we got to get him to stop doing it in the first place, you know, before he it's not like he needs to change as a person. And then you need to be able to trust who his new self is. So like, yeah, therapy, consulting with a leader in your community, like someone that you trust, like really working through it.
Starting point is 01:14:32 But I think it's worth the effort. So do I. And I think forgiveness can be found, but it has to be earned in a major way. Agreed. And I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Yeah. Yeah. It's like never fun when you get those, it sounds hard.
Starting point is 01:14:44 Yeah, it does. Definitely. I did not know Ashley Madison was still around doing its Ashley Madison thing. Me neither. Well, shifting to a more positive note, we are ending this episode of Jackson Friends with Miss Lizard P. Thank you so much for coming down here for doing two wonderful shows with me. I hope that you had a nice time. I had such a good time. It was so fun to just have like a girly girl chit chat that hopefully people enjoy. And you've done an amazing job, by the way. Like, I know, like people forget, I forget that you're pregnant. Like you were pregnant, you have two toddlers.

Welcome back to the toast. We are bringing the boom today because I have a very special interview with today's guests. Welcome AJ of the Costco Guys to the Toast, an iconic collaboration. I can't wait for this. It's so awesome.
Starting point is 01:19:52 I'm here on the toast. I mean look at this place. This place is a big BOOM! I completely agree. It's such a boom. How are you doing? Awesome. How's life at Costco Guy? It's great. I mean we have new adventures every day. We get to make people happy all the time. I mean that's the best part about all this Jackie. The best part about all this is when we see people and we see how happy we're able to make them and their faces light up and we get to take pictures and videos with people. I mean that's such a gift. It's the coolest thing ever. It's so cool. Everyone loves you guys. I had the pleasure of meeting you in the wild about a year ago at Costco. My husband went to Costco that morning and he was flipping. He was like, oh my God, the Costco guys were there doing like their videos. And it actually, you guys inspired us
Starting point is 01:20:35 because then I was like, we had been meaning to do a Costco vlog for like months and we just didn't do it. But then we were like, oh, they were filming there. Oh, you know what? We should do that Costco vlog today. Like, okay. So we go back to Costco and my sister and her husband
Starting point is 01:20:46 came too and they love you guys. And you were still there filming. We didn't expect that. We didn't go to like, you know, stalk you, but that's what happened. And we got to meet you and your son, of course, big justice icon and your wife and your whole family.
Starting point is 01:21:01 It's a family business. Yeah, we're all involved now. Do you love working with family? Oh, how could you not? It wouldn't work if we didn't do this your whole family. It's a family business. Yeah, we're all involved now. Do you love working with family? Oh, how could you not? It wouldn't work if we didn't do this as a family. I agree. It wouldn't work. We all have to be together.
Starting point is 01:21:11 We all have to work together. Everyone has an equal part and it's great to be a family out there, especially during traveling because I would never travel and leave them home. Yeah. I just couldn't do that. So that's the big part about it.
Starting point is 01:21:24 So I mean, we just got back from VidCon. We got back from Kids' Choice Awards and we did it as a family. And it's a lot better that way. It's a lot more wholesome that way. And I feel safe that way. Yeah, it's good for your kids. And it's good for you guys to be able to be with your kids.
Starting point is 01:21:37 How's Big Justice? I'm assuming he's in school today. I'm hoping he's in school. Well, we're in June. So school's done. He finished school. You're right. Yeah, he finished school at the end of May.
Starting point is 01:21:46 So Big Justice did very well in school. Yeah, he did very well. He had a private tutor this year. Go off Big Justice. What are his favorite subjects? He loves cakes. I'm bringing you in on this one. He loves math.
Starting point is 01:21:59 He loves math. I got to bring Mom and Justice in on this one. He loves math. He counts every dollar. That's good. That helps on this one. He loves math. He counts every dollar. That's good, that helps for the work. He's running his own Pokemon business. Go off. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:11 So what's he up to, enjoying summer break? He's enjoying summer break. He's probably at a card shop today. He's in the middle of all-star baseball. So we won our first game Monday. We played one inning last night, got rained out, so we gotta go back and finish it today. Wow, good times.
Starting point is 01:22:24 Well, I'm so glad that you were able to come here because the way that this came about was I'm doing guest co-host this month. Awesome. Because my sister's on maternity leave. Congratulations. I had to reach out to all the icons of South Florida and I was like, we have to get the Costco guys on.
Starting point is 01:22:36 That's so cool. So I'm an icon of South Florida. Thank you so much. That is awesome. 1000%. We've had a lot of really exciting people on this show. I think people are going to really flip that you're here. And I want to get to know AJ and the Costco guy like we've never
Starting point is 01:22:47 Seen them before because you were saying you've never done like a format like this like a girly swirly podcast Right. It's about as girly and swirly as I've gotten yet. No doubt So we're gonna like see how girly you really are. Here we go I just like want to get to know you how's being a Costco guy the last year So I'm like not that I had anything to do with it, but coincidentally right after we met you guys, like, oh my God, things popped off. Like you guys were everywhere.
Starting point is 01:23:11 The late night shows, every like video, every creator, you're all over, you're taking over. Costco guys take over. How has the last year been? I think it has a lot to do with how we make people happy. The positivity we bring, the happiness we bring. The booms you bring. Of course, it's all about the boom.
Starting point is 01:23:27 And the boom is the happiness and the positivity. And from that very first Costco guy video, I thought we had something that nobody else had. Because we grew up watching a lot of father and son channels. That's what Big Justice loved watching. And we watched a lot. And I always saw a lot on those channels. I saw that.
Starting point is 01:23:44 It looked as if the father was the main character. And the son kind of had ideas and maybe wanted to talk and the father kind of brushed the son off a little bit and I would be sitting there watching and I would say no wait I want to hear what this kid has to say so that's why part of the vision of our channel was no no no big justice we're going to take the lead and I was going to be the father behind him supporting him every step of the way and as crazy as it sounds out there letting him know, yeah, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead, run crazy throughout Costco, go ahead, shout boom and doom in a restaurant. I'm right here, I got you covered, don't worry about it, we're going to go do our thing. What is your relationship like to Costco now?
Starting point is 01:24:16 Have Costco corporate ever reached out? Yeah, we're in touch with Costco. So you get free Costco? Like I would hope so. No, I'm not too worried about free Costco, I'm happy to support Costco. But we're partners with about 20, maybe 25 brands within Costco. That makes sense. Cause they have like the brands.
Starting point is 01:24:30 And so you go and you spotlight certain brands, you give them the boom. That's right. And Costco has been like friendly towards you guys in terms of like filming in the stores and they don't get. I mean, Costco calls us the Costco guys. So I don't know how much more friendly we could get. That's been Costco's been awesome.
Starting point is 01:24:42 We're more Costco than you. That's so great. So how often do you go to a Costco now? Probably about every 10 days right now. That's what are you feeling like? What's the best product at Costco right now? The double chunk chocolate cookie. Always the Wagyu steak.
Starting point is 01:24:57 The Wagyu steak is always very, very good. I like the New York strip. New York strip is my cut. I like New York strip. Okay. So the New York strip Wagyu cut, you get great Wagyu steak for great prices. So a family could afford to enjoy some Wagyu at Costco.
Starting point is 01:25:09 The seasonal stuff is great right now. So you'll be able to get out there right now with summer here and get some slides and stuff for the kids and maybe get some patio furniture, some picnic tables, things like that, coolers, things you need for the boat and all that. So it's really a great time in the summer here at Costco. It is great time in this I need to go to this make me want to go to Costco Maybe I'll make a stop on my way home every time I see you guys like in the wild or on my screen
Starting point is 01:25:33 I'm like I need to go to Costco. It's where it all goes down at Costco. It goes down at Costco I mean, it's a great place. I mean, I think Costco has the perfect blend of quality and price Mm-hmm. I think that's what it really is. I mean, you get quantities you can't get anywhere else. They come at a great price, they're a great quality, and Costco wins. So when you guys were starting out your channel and thinking about what you wanted to do and how you wanted to do it,
Starting point is 01:25:55 what was the reasoning behind going full Costco and not just the store guys and going to different places? What was the vision behind Costco guys? Costco guys happened. It really, really happened. It wasn't quite the vision that the channel was going to be Costco centralized or anything like that. So one day we were watching that trend happen
Starting point is 01:26:17 that was kind of like, we're husband and wife, he always steals the covers or, you know, we're husband and wife, I gotta cook his steak and all that. So we said, let's do we're father and son. So we did, we're father and son, he comes to all my baseball games, we're father and son, I work my biceps and triceps three days a week.
Starting point is 01:26:32 So from there it evolved and I said, you know what, we do the Costco runs in our house because that was something we started doing because mom and justice had so much on our plate at the time. So we were saying, you know what, we're gonna do Costco. We got Costco, don't worry about a thing. And we were having fun with it, because we were going probably like Monday
Starting point is 01:26:49 at six o'clock, seven o'clock, the police was dead, we were running all over the place, climbing things, having a great time. So from the father son video, we evolved it to, let's just go in there and say, we're Costco guys. Yeah, of course we'd love all that. Yeah, but we're Costco guys, of course we eat the samples, even though we buy the thing every time we're here.
Starting point is 01:27:05 So it just so happened, perfect timing, we get there and we see the big sign, you gotta try our new double chunk chocolate cookie. But it's actually the double chocolate chunk cookie. Oh, but have they officially changed the name yet? No. Because everybody now knows. No, they haven't officially changed the name.
Starting point is 01:27:21 So we still call it the Double Chunk Chocolate Cookie. As you should. As we should. So I think that became one of the top memes in the world for about three months. So we were off to the races. So, so good. It's been so good.
Starting point is 01:27:34 It's been so fun to watch you guys. And you really work as a family. So your wife works in front of the camera with you and behind the camera. Everything. Yeah, whatever it takes at this point. Your daughter, too. So what's everybody's role in the operation? It seems like mama justice gets everyone on schedule where they need to be.
Starting point is 01:27:50 She said that you don't wear a watch. She said you don't believe in time. Very Mariah Carey of you. Is that Mariah's thing? She literally just gave an interview and said that she doesn't believe in the concept of time. Like she will arrive when she arrives. She doesn't celebrate birthday, like to such an extent that she doesn't celebrate her birthday, I can't see you not having a party for your birthday. Well, you know how I feel, Jackie? I feel that wherever I am at that point in time, I bring it.
Starting point is 01:28:13 Yeah. So even if I'm a little late, and it's not like I try to be late, I don't try to be late or anything. You guys were perfectly on time, I just wanna say. Thank you so much. Perfectly on time. Thank you so much, we really appreciate that.
Starting point is 01:28:25 Parking's a little tight around here. They blocked off the back parking lot, which is where I always used to park here. And now I have to parallel park and I don't know how. That's yours out there, the park? Oh no, everyone thought so, no. I have a Tesla and thankfully it parked itself because I couldn't have done it.
Starting point is 01:28:38 All right, so the Tesla parked itself, that's awesome. Yeah, but they test me every time when the back parking lot's not open and I have to like, into the spot and I'm just like sweating. It's a lot, are you they test me every time when the back parking lot's not open and I have to like, skrrt, into the spot and I'm just like sweating. It's a lot. Are you a good driver? I think so.
Starting point is 01:28:49 I could see that. Yeah, I think, yeah, I like to get behind the wheel. By the way, you gotta see the truck we're building. It'll be done in about a week. What kind of truck are you building? It's the big boom mobile. Oh my God. Wait, I need more details.
Starting point is 01:29:01 What is the like, original truck shape? The original truck is, it's a Ford F-150.? The original truck is a Ford F-150. So it's a Ford F-150. We upgraded the motor. We are putting a suspension lift on it. We're putting oversized tires on it. You guys should have been on Pimp My Ride. You got to go with West Coast customs.
Starting point is 01:29:18 Instead of Pimp My Ride, it's Boom My Truck. That's what we're doing here. Wait, and then what's the plan for the truck? Just drive around? Yeah, it's going to be our driver. Boom my truck. Wait, and then what's the plan for the truck? Just drive around? Yeah, it's going to be our driver. We're going to drive around in it, have some fun, and then see where it takes us, make some content with it. Are you going to drive it to pick up big justice from school?
Starting point is 01:29:33 Yeah. That's our truck now. That's your new family car? Yeah. No, I'm obsessed. I need to see a picture after this. All right. I have some pictures of the process.
Starting point is 01:29:42 It's almost on. We're about a week out. Are you so excited? Of course. How long has it been in ideation? Ideation was probably about two months in ideation and then we've been about a month on the build out. So it's been about a three month process.
Starting point is 01:29:56 Is big justice gonna get his permit soon? Ashley is, big justice is only 12. I don't know when people start driving. I got my license at 30. So I'm like, whenever I see a 12 year old, I'm like, they can probably drive and I can't know when people start driving. I got my license at 30. So I'm like, whenever I see a 12 year old, I'm like, they can probably drive and I can't. Big Justice can drive though. Of course he can.
Starting point is 01:30:11 What can he do? I don't know. I haven't found anything the kid can't do. I haven't found anything the kid can't do. So your wife is really like what runs the machine. And then, so you get to just be you and how do Ashley and Big Justice work together? What's their co-working relationship like?
Starting point is 01:30:28 Big Justice loves getting out there, making people happy. He comes up with great ideas. The kid wakes up every morning with that. We gotta do this today. He's a creator. He's a creator. He's a creator. Loves the Pokemon right now.
Starting point is 01:30:38 I mean, he's all over the place with Pokemon, with sports cards. He's really getting into sports cards. He loves that. Ashley is very, very passionate about the business. Ashley is, Ashley won't put anything out until it's perfect. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:51 Like Ashley's content goes through rounds and rounds of editing. Like she wants that thing perfect to the point where I'm like, Ashley, this is good. You gotta put it out now. Yeah, ugh, the plight of being a perfectionist. Right. Don't I know it. But she loves it.
Starting point is 01:31:03 I mean, we were at VidCon. I mean, she took a thousand pictures, she was loving it, actually loves the life. You guys were also just at the Kids' Choice Awards. Kids' Choice Awards. And you got slimed. We got slimed. We got blasted. And apparently, it's not fun.
Starting point is 01:31:14 It is, it's really fun, it is. Getting slimed. After it happened, like, when it happens, you're happy it happened. Yeah, it's iconic. It's iconic. Like, it's a rite of passage. It's a rite of passage, I'm so happy it happened. Now, while you're sitting there and you. It's a rite of passage. It's a rite of passage. I'm so happy it happened.
Starting point is 01:31:26 Now, while you're sitting there and you got the slime all over you, you're kind of thinking, all right, I'm in a suit, I'm slimed, I got no shower, what am I doing? Yeah. So you're starting to think that, the slime dries in about a half hour and you feel fine.
Starting point is 01:31:37 Okay. Yeah. And then you went to an after party. We go to the after party slimed, Ashley's hair stuck to her head. I think we got the worst of it in that row. We got a pretty strong blast of it. Yeah. But that's what you go to the KCAs for.
Starting point is 01:31:52 That's what they're all about. That's what you go for, right. I mean, we came to the after party, we said we got slimed, and people were like, awesome, it was you, you did it. Yeah, that is so fun. I need to ask you about the Rizzler. Oh, of course.
Starting point is 01:32:03 I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't ask about the Rizler. Oh, that's our guy, yeah. How do you know the Rizler? Like, please, how did you meet the Rizler? All right, so Rizler's iconic video, the iconic Black Panther video. So one night, Big Justice comes to me with the phone and he's got TikTok on, he's like,
Starting point is 01:32:17 Dad, you gotta see this kid. So I'm looking at this kid in a Black Panther costume. It says it fits you until you're seven, and I'm seven, you know why the kid's busting out of the costume. So says it fits you until you're seven. And I'm seven. You want the kids busting out of the costume. So I said, we got to meet this kid. I got to reach out to the father. So I just message right there.
Starting point is 01:32:32 I'm like, hey, it's AJ and Big Justice. We absolutely love your videos, love your content. We got to meet up sometime. So Uncle Savasta, Brian, Rizler's father, he hits me right back. He's like, wow, is it really you guys? I'm like, yeah, let's get on FaceTime right now. So I would say within a few minutes of the video,
Starting point is 01:32:48 we got Rizler and his father on FaceTime, being big justice on FaceTime. It was just our first meeting, I'll never forget it. And we were just going back and forth. Wow, I can't believe it's you. Wow, I can't believe it's you. So we're like, all right, we find out that they're up in New Jersey and we says, okay, we're coming to New Jersey
Starting point is 01:33:03 for the summer. First thing we're doing is we're coming to see you. So we make an appointment, we meet at American Dream. We- Love American Dream. Oh my God, I just went- Oh, American Dream is so much fun. When we were in New York, we went twice.
Starting point is 01:33:12 We spent the whole day there. Not enough people know about the American Dream. It's literally heaven on earth. People gotta know more about American Dream, more about Mall of America. We recently went to Mall of America. Bring back malls. Like, they're so awesome.
Starting point is 01:33:23 Bring back malls, right? Yeah, like especially the American Dream. You can ski. You can ski at American Dream. You can do mini golf. It was crazy. My kids had the best time. Well, they have a great idea of American Dream.
Starting point is 01:33:34 So they're bringing a ton of us creators in. Oh, and they have Mr. Beast's burgers. Beast burgers is there. Beast burgers. I had a Beast grilled cheese. Yeah. I need a Costco guy double chunk chocolate cookie to wash it down.
Starting point is 01:33:45 You know, we're kind of working on that. It's been in talks for a long time and that's a real reason why we haven't launched our own cookie yet is because we really want to try to get the Costco deal done. Yeah, oh, I mean, that would just be like so full circle. If we could pull that off. So you met the Rizzler at American Dream.
Starting point is 01:34:00 We meet the Rizzler at Toys R Us. This story is an American dream so far. It's an American dream story. So we meet the Rizzler at Toys R Us. We meet the Rizzler at Toys R Us. This story is an American dream so far. It's an American dream story. So we meet the Rizzler at Toys R Us. We meet the Rizzler at Toys R Us. I'm obsessed. Just listen to that. Now this was before he was the Rizzler.
Starting point is 01:34:11 And they had those horses that you could go on around the, I guess it's more for like- Oh yeah, I think we did that too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's more for like the little kids, but they're like these little like life-sized horses that you could ride around the American dream. No, the place is insane you guys.
Starting point is 01:34:23 And then hit the slopes. There's so much to do. The place is enormous. You can be there for a week. You're not going to run out of things to do. We took in an ice hockey game. It was like a women's ice hockey game was going on. The kids loved it. Oh, it's so fun in that mall.
Starting point is 01:34:37 So now we do our first video with the Rizler. Now, it was at Toys R Us. Video explodes. I think it's at 20 million views. So now we had just met them 10 minutes ago, right? And we're done doing the video and we say, my sister's expecting us for dinner. She lives about a half hour from American Dream. I said, come on, you're coming with us. And we said Rizlar, come on, Big Johnson says Rizlar, come on, jump in with us. So Rizlar now jumps in our car. We're driving away. I call Uncle Savas. I'm like, dude, I'm so sorry.
Starting point is 01:35:03 Like this all just happened. Like I know you just met us a half hour ago. We've got your kid here, but we're all good here. Having a great time. He's like, no, no, no, man. I already feel like family. Let's go. So we arrive at my sister's house and my sister, she like, she compartmentalizes everything. Like tonight is dinner with the family. Tomorrow night is shopping with whatever. So us bringing someone else to the house, like there was a monkey wrench in her whole plans, like that's just her style. So I walk in the house, she's got chicken collards, she's frying everything up, and she's like,
Starting point is 01:35:33 who did you bring to my house? I'm like, no, no, no, Teresa, just wait, just wait. Rizzler comes walking through the door, her jaw drops, she goes, where did you find this kid? I think that's a question everyone's been asking, where did you find this kid? I think that's the question everyone's been asking, where did you find this kid? And it's at the American Dream Mall. It was at American Dream Mall.
Starting point is 01:35:50 And so you guys are just like fast friends and you know when you meet people. We're family now. And like Big Justice and him are just like BFFs. People think he's related to you. I think Buddy and I have like done deep dives on the show, like what is the Rizzler relation to the Costco guys? And it's just like internet friends
Starting point is 01:36:05 turn real life friends, turns family. It's better than family now. And you gotta walk by Big Justice Room sometimes at night. And now the other kid, Tony Cash, is involved. Have you seen him yet? I think I've seen a little bit. But I'm very slow, I'm like an old person, so things reach me late.
Starting point is 01:36:20 So Tony Cash is like the new 12-year-old that could go somewhere between 12 and 57 years old. And so now I walk by Big Justice room at night, right? And they're playing Fortnite. So now just imagine how conic this is. You got Big Justice, you got the Rizzler, you got Tony Cash playing Fortnite, right? And you got Rizzler on FaceTime saying, no, Big Justice, turn right, we got to hide in the fort. And then you got Rizzler and then you got Tony Cash and he's like, guys, we gotta climb to the top of the building, and we gotta smash them with the ogle peen.
Starting point is 01:36:49 And we're just nuts. And it's the three of them just bouncing off each other, playing Fortnite. No, and it's like, they need a live stream up. Oh, I get a live stream and go nuts, yeah. Yeah, for sure. You guys used to do a show, you actually used to do it in the studio. Yeah, we did, we did.
Starting point is 01:37:04 I mean, you do a lot of live streams. How's that for you guys? That's the tough part for us because of our schedule. Because right now, Big Justice is playing baseball. So we never know if they win, when we're going to have the next game. And then we're traveling like crazy. So I mean, we just spent a week out in Los Angeles. We have New York coming up.
Starting point is 01:37:22 We have Texas coming up. I'm going to be wrestling again. Oh, fun. For AEW, for all the wrestling, I am gonna be wrestling again July 12th at AEW All In at Globe Life in Arlington, Texas. Sweet, that sounds so fun. The streaming is tough for us because we don't have a schedule.
Starting point is 01:37:35 Yeah, understood. So then you just like make the videos and that like you can bank, go in content mode, understood. Well, what does self-care look like for the Costco guys? Like how do you wind down? How do you like, do you turn down at all? Like turn off? No, not really.
Starting point is 01:37:53 Turning off makes me nervous. Your wife's like, no, he doesn't. I hate turning off. Yeah. I go until I crash and I go to sleep. And then I wake up the next morning and do it again. What time do you wake up in the morning? I would say about five, maybe between five and six.
Starting point is 01:38:08 Yeah, a really riser. Understood, what were you doing before Costco guys like hit a big? Well, it was crazy. So I was a regional manager for a nationwide mortgage lender. Nice, so different speed. Different speed, you know, always grinding. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:38:22 Always grinding. And that's the interesting thing here, Jackie, is our story is not exactly a rags to riches story. I always grinded. I always provided for the family. We lived in Boca Raton. We always had a good life. This just allows us to really be more of who we are.
Starting point is 01:38:37 Yeah. I don't think as a regional manager for an HY Mortgage on the list, I'm very grateful for the career. I love the company I was with. I wasn't really myself. That's not really what I felt I was born to do. Yeah. This right here, right now, content creation
Starting point is 01:38:50 with my family, pro wrestling, music. This is why, making people happy. Yeah. Making people happy. That's why I was put on this earth. No, I love that. It is the best feeling to like be doing what you love as yourself and with your family,
Starting point is 01:39:02 which I couldn't endorse any further. We didn't get to talk about the music career. You guys dropped a song that was seriously a cultural shift. Yeah. What was that like? How did that come about? It was iconic.
Starting point is 01:39:16 So how it came about is one day we're driving home from lunch, me and Big Justice, and I grew up in the late 80s, huge fan of Run the MC and the Beastie Boys. So we're playing Run the MC, it's tricky. And along the way, he and I were just going back and forth, freestyling, shouting out boom and all that, and I said, I got an idea, we gotta make a song.
Starting point is 01:39:36 So I reached out to a few different TikTok musicians, and I said, look, I have this idea for this song, here's kind of the beat that I had in mind, and I had the beat of We Bring the Boom the whole time. Okay. I was thinking the whole time. Bom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bom, bom. I have it, like I have a video of me giving that beat.
Starting point is 01:39:53 So a couple of TikTok musicians, they said, you know, I have so much lined up right now, so I'm not able to do that right now. And I said, well, we got to kind of move on this. I'll reach out to you for something else. But then I found R.J. Payson, another Jersey guy, a great guitar guy. And he had reached out to us and said, hey, you want to do a song together.
Starting point is 01:40:12 So I was like, R.J., this is the idea I have in mind. And I bring up R.J. right now because R.J. nailed it. Take one. He sent us. We bring the boom. And by the way, Jackie, some of our other music, I think we may have gotten a little complicated with it. So I think our next song, we're really going back to basics. There's a next song.
Starting point is 01:40:29 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. When's it coming? I'm going to say around August 15. Around August 15. Around August 15, and I'm going to give you a little Easter egg on this one. It is our first song that doesn't include the word boom in the title.
Starting point is 01:40:42 Oh, in the title. I'm like, how do you? Yeah, there's going to be a boom in there. It's our very first song that doesn't include the word boom in the title. Oh, in the title. I'm like, how do you? Yeah, there's gonna be a boom in there, but it doesn't, it's our very first song that doesn't include the word boom in the title. Oh, I wonder what it's called. Could you think, could people like guess the title if they like, no?
Starting point is 01:40:53 It's just, okay. No, I'll give you another Easter egg on it. It's a song I probably wrote, I'm thinking right around the time Big Justice was born. So probably around 2013, I wrote the song and found it. And the other day, I was thinking, I was like, wait a minute, I had that song. I go through Dropbox and I'm just like trying words,
Starting point is 01:41:12 I'm trying searches and I found it. And our jaws all dropped, we're like, we have to remake this song. Oh wow, so you've always been musical. Yeah, yeah, I've always loved music. Oh, I love that. And now you're able to incorporate it. So real quick, so RJ Payson nails, we bring the boom on the first try. Okay. So now, this is great, there've always loved music. Oh, I love that. And now you're able to incorporate it. So real quick, so RJ Payson nails
Starting point is 01:41:25 We Bring the Boom on the first try. Okay. So now, this is great. There's more to this. Mava Justice is smiling right now. Okay, so here we go. We're on the toast, so we're about to get toasty here, right? Let's do it, and musical.
Starting point is 01:41:37 We love to sing. We'll do a live rendition of We Bring the Boom. We bring the boom? I would love that. We bring the boom. That's what we do. We bring the boom. That's what we do. We bring the boom. We bring the boom to you.
Starting point is 01:41:50 So now, it's a Thursday, and Ashley was so into her middle school. President of the middle school, straight, Ashley's never gotten anything but an A in her entire school life. Go Ashley, quit. Go Ashley, Ashley's never gotten anything but an A her whole school life.
Starting point is 01:42:06 So she's now so excited that Big Justice is now gonna join her middle school. She's going up to high school. Big Justice was supposed to go to the middle school. We get to the open house. Nobody cared about the school. Big Justice got bum rushed. So we get out of the car.
Starting point is 01:42:20 It's him. They got a cheer ready for him. They had a song ready for him, right? So now he gets there. They're taking a thousand pictures. So we meet with the principal. The principal says, I don't know how to handle this. Like, I've had the child of a celebrity here before,
Starting point is 01:42:32 but I've never had a celebrity here before. Yeah. So right then and there, I say, all right, well, he's done with regular school. This isn't going to happen. Now, Ashley and Mama Justice, it took them a little while to adjust to that. So we get home that night, we have a family meeting, and Ashley is kind of saying,
Starting point is 01:42:49 you know, but the last year of my life, I worked for this and now we're not normal anymore, and now Big Justice isn't gonna go to school without Bitch Impossible, our life has changed forever. So now, everything comes down a little bit. Saturday morning, now we're on to Saturday morning, and I wake up I'm like alright come on. We're going to the studio and mama justice. What do you mean? We're going to the studio I'm like hey, I got it all set up come on
Starting point is 01:43:12 We're going to the studio so now big justice, and I have been preparing for this so now we get into the studio bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb we bring the boom That's what we do we bring the. We bring the boom. That's what we do. We bring the boom. We bring the boom to you. And Mama Justice jaw drops. She was like, this is a hit. I didn't know we were going to the studio to do this. So now right away, Mama Justice has lawyers on the phone.
Starting point is 01:43:38 She's got management on the phone. She's calling everybody she knows in the music industry, right? So now we record our parts. I'm like, all right, Ashley, Mama Justice, it's your time in the booth. What are you talking about? We're going to the booth.
Starting point is 01:43:50 I say, yeah, yeah, yeah, go to the booth. So now Ashley, from Thursday night with, we're not normal anymore, to Saturday in the booth. We bring the boom! That's what we do. I love it. And then she got into it. Oh, she never went back.
Starting point is 01:44:03 She loved it. She's like, maybe it's okay to not be normal anymore. This is the new normal. This is our new normal. So then after that, like after that weekend, like Big Justice couldn't go to regular school anymore. Nah, we have private tutoring now. Too big for middle school.
Starting point is 01:44:13 Yeah, we have private tutoring now. I understand. That makes sense. And that way you can be flexible and really enjoy everything that you've built. I mean, we're on the road 15 days a month right now. Yeah. Yeah, it's, we're gonna be, so we have,
Starting point is 01:44:24 we just got back from LA. Mama Justice is loving the whole trip down memory lane over there. So yeah, we just got back from LA. In a couple of weeks, we're heading out to Texas and then right from there, we're heading up to New York. Okay, great. Well, where can, I mean, everyone already follows you,
Starting point is 01:44:40 but first, anyone living under a rock, where can everyone follow you? Keep up with the Costco guys. Here at Stream New new music August 15th right in time for Charlie's birthday I'm gonna play it at his party yeah how many booms would you give the toast would you say five big booms boom boom boom boom Boom, and make that last one a, ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba Thank you for coming on the show.
