Starting point is 00:00:09 It's Jackson, Claude and neighbor show the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off, swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to The Toast and happy Tuesday. I hope everybody's having a great day. A great day of the twos. I am feeling, you know, I'm just kind of leading with gratitude today. And what are you feeling gratitude for?
Starting point is 00:00:36 Well, I almost LML'd on the way here. LML'd. Lost my life. I almost lost my motherfuckin' fucking life. Well, I lost you. on the road. Okay, let me tell you. Usually, we pull out together. I'm either in front of you or behind you. Yeah, but you like have an obsession with sitting in traffic. I don't have an obsession. You're obsessed with sitting in traffic. I was also like rolling calls. So I wasn't really like looking at where I didn't even notice there was traffic. I was just sort of in it. So I was cruising as one does. And like out of fucking nowhere, the biggest turkey came flying across the street. I literally, it was like one of those commercials. Like I stopped like, like, you know, The Subaru commercials, when it's like they show you like what could have happened if you were an accident. I never stopped so short in my whole life.
Starting point is 00:01:18 I must have been probably a foot away from the turkey. I came so close to killing this turkey. And he was just like flying across the street without a care in the world. My heart was racing. I literally just came back to like normal. Wow. Yeah, it was crazy. It's turkey larky time.
Starting point is 00:01:34 That's what I was going to say. It's turkey lurky time. You have to read the children's story like about turkey lurky. Oh, I know turkey lurky. From... But there is a story, like, about turkey lurky. I'll get it for you. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:50 Because Turkey lurky is just that song from that movie. No, but it originates from somewhere, and I'm pretty sure it's like a children's story. To me, like, it sort of begins and ends with Camp, the film. I believe also it has to do with... What's the one? The chick, like, who hit his head? Humpty Dumpty?
Starting point is 00:02:08 No, that's an egg. The chick... Well, it was going to be a chick. Chick. Chick... Boom chickapot? No. Turkey lurky.
Starting point is 00:02:17 I'm not familiar with the turkey lurky lore at all. Oh, I'm going to get you a present. You know what? Like, I'm good. The good thing about the turkey, though, is like if you had hit the turkey. Dinner. No, you would have been fine. It's not like a deer where it's like if you hit the deer, the deer breaks the windshield.
Starting point is 00:02:32 It's on your lap. Right. Unfortunately, what they say is like if you are gunning for a turkey. Like if a deer comes out of the road. They say about deer, not about turkey. They're like, for your own safety, like you actually should continue to floor it. You actually should go faster. Because if you like stop short, mid-deer.
Starting point is 00:02:49 First of all, the deer is in your lap and the deer is still alive so it's like kicking you. They say like you should definitely try to kill the deer. That's just what they say. Yes, if you, if a deer crosses the road as you're crossing the deer, go faster. It's just funny, like what little like life tips stick with you. That deer thing has always stuck with me. I actually saw TikTok like a couple of months ago that I keep thinking about because it can't possibly be true.
Starting point is 00:03:09 It was from these like two female like self-defense experts and they were just giving like little tips like if somebody tells you this always do this and they're like if someone like holds a gun to you and says like get in the car um first of all i believe this like the chance of your survival drops by like 98% if you go to a second location with them they say that like you should run even though he has a gun because like statistically it's harder to hit a moving target okay and i just like i don't know if i believe that you should run like you think you should get in the car no i don't think you should get in the car either but like there's a gun to your neck mm-hmm like i don't know i just feel like I'm not really seeing like the tidbit.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Like, of course you should run. But like if he has you, you fight. Yeah, but like if you run, you're just right there. I don't know. I don't know that he really, like, I don't know what his intentions are. Honestly, I can't. His intentions are to get you into the moving vehicle. Right.
Starting point is 00:04:01 Not necessarily to kill you. That's true. Oh, that is also what they said. Like a lot of the times, like, they're just not trying to kill some of the moves. They're bad guys, but killing like in public, like, it draws more attention to them. It makes it, like, harder for them to get caught. So, like, they were just saying, like, almost, like, call their bluff. And I was, like, I don't know if they got a risky.
Starting point is 00:04:20 But, like, you might as well because what do you have to lose? Because the other option is getting in the car. Right, right. At that point, like, you unfortunately don't have good options. You don't have much choices. Yeah. Choose yourself. Just funny about, like, like, life survival tips stick with you.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Yeah. Like, they always say, like, if you ever run into a bear, like, walk backwards and clap. And, like, hold your hands up. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know about that one either. I don't know. They were always telling us, like, what to do.
Starting point is 00:04:42 with bears because we went to camp last night I was driving home late I went out I had a day yesterday my college friends came to visit me so we're like having you know a little college reunion they're out in the Hamptons and so yesterday we had lunch and we laid by the pool we went out to dinner we went out like late and I was driving home and like I was seriously driving so slow I was so scared to see a deer night in the Hamptons is really scary is crazy there are no street lights so Rebecca drove with me like halfway and she taught me how to use brights which was great you didn't know how to use brights But I didn't know that like when the signal set has like a green light on. That just means your headlights are on.
Starting point is 00:05:17 And when that turns blue, that means your brights are on. Because I like, if somebody's coming the opposite way, you have to turn the rights on. Of course. But I didn't know when my brights were on when they weren't. And then when I turned them on, I was like, oh. Okay. And then there was light. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:27 So I was really nervous to drive home. But it was another check off the box. It's funny because when we were in college, I didn't drive. I didn't have a car. But like my friends did. And they drove me everywhere. And like it was just like part of life. It was just a fact of life that like I just didn't go anywhere, whatever.
Starting point is 00:05:41 and now like driving my friends it's so crazy because I've never driven them before and it's just crazy to think about like you bitch just had all this freedom when we were in college oh yeah you guys were doing this yeah you were doing this cruising then Rebecca said it was probably good that I couldn't drive or have a car would have gone home every day because I would have never been there I would go to Utica and go to the mall like I just would have always needed it forced you to bloom where you were planted I would have always needed a break it's true or you would like literally drive home like I'm not feeling it let's go home no and I already went home like once a month and that's through hitching rides, you know, train, plane, however I could get there. Yeah. So if I could get myself, I would have gone home all the, even more, which is crazy. So she's right. It was for the best that I had to bloom where I was planted. It's true.
Starting point is 00:06:24 But I'm like, you know, with lifelong college friends. It's crazy that you guys could just like, oh, I'll just go get sushi and Utica. That is also crazy to think about that, like, kids these days, I mean, back in our day, too, but, like, 16-year-olds can just like go places. I know. Not on my wash. No, it's great. I'm happy for them.
Starting point is 00:06:41 just jealous that like I didn't have it sooner, but I guess there was really a reason, you know? Yeah, yeah. They're really was. Sort of forced you. So we're just having a grand old time. That's really cute. I feel like, like such a mom, like my college cats. It's kind of giving like Netflix movie.
Starting point is 00:06:54 It is giving the college moms like all getting together. Yeah. I love that. Just like little reunion going wild. So cute. Mom's gone mild. Went like literally got home from dinner at 1030. I got home from dinner at 10.45.
Starting point is 00:07:06 I was locked out of the house. Yeah, I know. And that's crazy because I haven't conducted my investigation as to Just so you know, I had no part of it because one thing about me and Ben is like, we sleep good knowing that like you every night lock every door and window. Like I leave every door open. I'm like, I'm not worried. And I'm not locking it because I'm like, that's Jackie's job.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Yeah. So I thought for sure there was no way you would get locked out because who would lock you out, but you. I know. And when I left the house, I made sure the door was open. I did check. And then I came back and I was locked out. So I do think that culprit has to be my husband. But he said he said he made sure the door was unlocked for me.
Starting point is 00:07:40 We're talking about the front door. Yeah, I had no part of that. I don't lock doors. Sometimes, like, doors are funny. I just open them. Sometimes doors can, like, have a mind. No, it wasn't a funny door situation. No, but, like, you know, when the interior lock is on and you don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:53 No. The interior lock. Ben's always doing the interior lock. Oh, my God. Ben is always leaving front doors open. Like, it's insane. Yeah, like where you, like, jigger it so that it's, like, clicks. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:04 So someone did that to me, and I don't know what I would have done if no one. The garage. I don't have. the code and then like you would have the code no but like even if i did have the code i would have it would have to be an hour before i did that because you would have flipped no no no i was dead asleep like i that wouldn't have and what if it woke you from your sleep it wouldn't have okay yeah and i would have known that it was like an emergency okay you need the garage code yeah i do i'll tell you but then i'd already lock the garage door so got it okay so you were locked up i was truly locked out i was
Starting point is 00:08:34 going to start throwing rocks at the window. Okay, Juliet. Let me in. Well, that wouldn't have woken me up. No, no, no, for Zach. Yeah, yeah. Zach is a light sleeper. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:44 He is. So, yeah, it was just fun. We're having another girly day today. So cute. And I'm wearing another seamla. I'm wearing shorts. I loved wearing a dress on the show yesterday. I was so comfortable.
Starting point is 00:08:54 There's a little flaw in my system. I'm sweating. Yeah. So I wore shorts today, just like embracing Swirley Summer. Because I knew that there was a blanket waiting for me at the studio. I'm really warm. Yeah. And that's something I'm just struggling with.
Starting point is 00:09:07 But I'm also excited to use this as an opportunity to get more Hillhouse dresses. Because I've always felt like I have enough Hill House. But I only have enough for like six days of work. So I need more. I love Hill House. I know. So cozy. So cozy.
Starting point is 00:09:21 More. I heard they're opening up a store actually in Palm Beach. Oh, nice. They have lots of stores. Everyone's kind of like freaking about it. I mean like Hill House X Palm Beach is like such a big deal. Yeah. That's like Hill House X William Sonoma.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Yes. Which is really like move the needle in my life. made a mahjong set. I did know. I didn't know. I'm O-M-M loyal. I'm I'm oh my mahjong loyal too, but what I've realized, and obviously this is like easy for me to say now that I have 100 sets, like you really only need one. Like you really only need one. It's true. And I love all my sets and like I hope like to one day have like a beautiful display case, like how people have like craft rooms. I'm going to have like, and that's great and all, but like I use one. Yeah. All you need is one. Unfortunately, all you need is one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:04 So that's what's new with us. Yeah. Just really quickly, I wanted to backtrack when we were talking about bears. I feel like something that happened to me. Like, I don't talk about enough. I don't think I've ever brought it up on the podcast. Share your truth. It's like the time I did come face to face with a bear.
Starting point is 00:10:18 I'm being, I knew you weren't going to believe me. No, no, I believe you do. Sure, tell us about it. It was actually when you went to camp in the Northeast, like, it was a big problem. Like, you weren't supposed to leave a lot of garbage out because, like, a lot of times you'd wake up in the morning. All the garbages would be like overturned because, like, the bears were like out in the night looking for food. And one night it was like, it wasn't late, but it was nighttime. And we were like all hanging in the bunk.
Starting point is 00:10:36 And I went to, if you were ever in a bunk, like, you know, like they had like little garbages in the bathroom. But like the big garbage, like if you to throw away like food or whatever, was outside on the porch. And I went to throw something out on the porch. And it was like legit a bear like on my porch. And I just sort of froze. Actually, I'm having deja, I think maybe I have spoken my truth before.
Starting point is 00:10:55 But what I think about like all the, the spot? All the great. No. I acted like a champ. Like, boom. I flew back into the bunk, lock the door. and I told everyone to hunker down. Saved lives.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Yeah, and when I think about, like, the great things I've accomplished in my life, like, coming face to face with a brown bear, I always forget, but, like, I did that shit. The bear was on the porch. Yes, he had, like, so you know, there's, like, a couple of steps up to the porch. Like, he was on the steps.
Starting point is 00:11:17 He was on the steps. Yeah. And, like, it's just you never know how you're going to react in a moment of, like, sheer panic, and I slayed. At a young age, mind you, I must have been, like, 15 or 16. Yeah, that's good to know that you're capable. The year was 2009.
Starting point is 00:11:31 of acting with haste. Exactly. And I was in this bunk. It was when I went to Seneca. It was like a double-decker bunk. So like the, obviously everyone wanted to be on the top floor. But like the top floor went to like the cool girls who had been at camp longer. And so like me and my friends, we were like relegated to the bottom.
Starting point is 00:11:44 Like whatever we had some more fun than those bitches. I didn't want to be on bottom. I wouldn't want to be a... Yeah. Well, like, you know, just like people are like, people are obsessed like having the top bunk. Like when you're a kid. No, thanks. I'm a bottom bunk.
Starting point is 00:11:52 You put your pictures on the bottom. And so like they never knew. And you could see pictures when you're sleeping? They never knew trauma like I knew. They didn't have to deal with the bears. It was like us being left down on the bottom level to just sort of like fend for ourselves and protect the bunk. But I did.
Starting point is 00:12:04 And you protected those ingrates on the top floor. Actually, I threw a T-bone steak up to the second floor. And I said, bear. Get on them. So, yeah, that's sort of like one of the many things I've accomplished. Amazing. Yeah, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Amazing. Wilderness woman. Wilderness woman. Plus, she saved a turkey today. Oh, my God. Literally friend to animals. obviously been campaigning against the butterfly, um, eugenics center happening in our dining room.
Starting point is 00:12:32 The butterflies are thriving, you guys. I heard one died this morning. This morning. But like these butterflies keep dying and then Zach is over here being like, you guys are wrong. They're not dead. Oh, yeah. He looks it up on chat and like, the, we'll be like, the butterfly is doing this and they're like, they're fine.
Starting point is 00:12:47 They're just like, like, figuring out. Figuring out how to flip over. Yeah. I guess we're like three days out. I was whispering today about the dead butterfly. Oh my God. I missed that. I must have been getting ready.
Starting point is 00:12:56 I guess we're three days out, though, from. the freeing of the butterfly. That's a day like that I'll, as an animal rights advocate who's seen Blackfish documentary, that's a day that I'll be celebrating. Seriously. Like, I haven't participated in this abuse. The most performative animal rights activists of all time. Nobody hates worry than me.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Nobody hates their dog more than that. So true. I have not participated in this abuse, but I will be present for the release day, obviously. You've been campaigning for it. Yeah, finally. That's definitely something I'm excited about. Yeah. Because animals are friends.
Starting point is 00:13:30 I agree. Not entertainment. Not food. I would never. I would never eat an animal byproduct. You would never. Not fashion. No, no.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Never. Not a friend. Not a friend. Today's Tuesday, which means we does have to your to-we- We does have. We does have to your toasters. The rumors are true. I deleted Olendra.
Starting point is 00:13:53 And I think we should have- Unfortunately, we don't have Nicolandra updates today. Oh, really? I saw she spoke. I thought you're going to choose it. You're lying. I'll slip it. It might have been like a thread, just being like, you know, we accomplished so much this year. She's talking to, like, her fans who are like seriously ill in the head. They're calming for us because we keep clipping. We're rage beating like the Nicolandria fans. And they just keep calling us like fat white bitches. Like that's what they're calling us. One of them said we were fat white bitches with receding hairlines. Excuse me. I am fat and I am white, even though I am technically an ethno religion, but let's not get into it. I don't have a receding hairline bitch, okay?
Starting point is 00:14:26 Like, let's speak facts, okay? That's crazy. Where do you see such? And when you guys are calling us about, like, we just had babies. Yeah. What's your excuse? Oh, this is all happening on TikTok. Would you like me to read some of our hate comments?
Starting point is 00:14:38 Oh my God. I want to see them. It's funny. No, I hate when you, like, need to see stuff. I need to see stuff. No, I don't know. I don't see it that bad. Let me do.
Starting point is 00:14:45 Because I don't want to read this filth. I was going about my day, having good time. I didn't know we're getting hate. I had no clue. Y'all, this Toast podcast, count your days. I want to say. White women with receding hairlines hating on Elandria. What's new?
Starting point is 00:15:06 Is that a problem for her? The receding hairline. Like, community. Hating on her? I'm not sure. O'Landria's contacting her lawyers. I'm sure she is. Not that bad.
Starting point is 00:15:20 No, no, they're on the toast. You really want me to pull them up here. Why do you guys have so much smoke for O'Landria, but not Nick? I actually think we have equally. You're not paying attention. And we hold O'Landria to do. Pay attention, please. No, but that's why, like, you can't comment on clips of shows that you don't watch.
Starting point is 00:15:36 Hope she sues y'all too. Defamation of character, calling them frauds. That's disgusting. Ugh, the hate, it's exhausting. You would believe. It's invigorating. It's true. You would believe Olandros with Travis Scott before her and Nick were ever being real?
Starting point is 00:15:50 Yeah. No, but I'm not even saying Elandras with Travis Scott. I'm just saying I like the rumor. No smoke for Iris or Papaya breaking up by reunion. I appreciate that they broke up by the reunion. By the way, no one's given papaya more smoke than us. And no one's given papaya less thought than us. Like, we never voted for her.
Starting point is 00:16:07 And Iris and Pepe, they mean? Yeah. Okay. I guess there's like a lot of discourse right now with Iris, T.J. and Pepe. I don't watch Beyond the villa. But the timeline, like, is not 100% legit for Iris. And remember when she left the island with Pepe and then like that day,
Starting point is 00:16:23 DeHimsy caught her outside with it. I think there was like more to it than that. Okay. And there's just like a lot of drama between the losers on Beyond the Villa. But that sort of behavior is like exactly what they were doing on the island where it's like she's between two guys. Right. You're testing connections. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:38 So she's sort of just like finishing out the experiment. I don't really have a problem with that. I don't either. But sure, apples and oranges. Go ahead. Sure. Nicolingria is fraud. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:47 Like what are you talking about? Like I'm holding space for multiple truths. Yeah. But one thing that will always be true was that Nicolandria was never real. No. And it's like we can't talk about Nicolandria's fraudulence because. all these other couples broke up. Like, just like West Wilson can't talk about trans-
Starting point is 00:17:02 womenly sports because of the war. I'm sorry. We're holding space for multiple truths. Uh-huh. I can have multiple conversations and opinions. And I often do. And I guess is that unique? I didn't think so, but maybe it is.
Starting point is 00:17:17 Not for the to-a-one. One thing's for sure. Nicolangria was never real. No. And that's your Nicolangira rage bait for the day. I feel better. Okay. Without further a do-da-do-do-do-do.
Starting point is 00:17:26 it is time for the fast five stories that you do need to know. And the fast five stories that you do need to know are brought to you by Amazon music. They are because Claudia, I was looking at my phone this morning and realized my home screen is actually embarrassing. I have a different app for everything I'm listening to. Music in one place, podcast in another, audiobook somewhere else. It's just too much. I get it. It's very not sweeper friendly.
Starting point is 00:17:48 But let me tell you as the sweeper in charge here, you do not have to live like that. If you're constantly bouncing between apps just to find something to listen to, there's a better way. And it's Amazon music. We've been using Amazon Music Unlimited because it is all the music, podcasts, and now audiobooks in one app. So it just makes things a lot more streamlined and a lot easier. And speaking of audiobooks, guess who just started Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir? It's so good, Turtaleau. I just finished it and there were multiple times where I would get home and just stay in the car listening or maybe drive around a little more to finish the chapter.
Starting point is 00:18:18 The narration is incredible, and you know how picky I am with audiobooks, Turdy. It's very personal. I know. It's absolutely tow certified. I know. I'm sold. So it's exactly the kind of book that makes Erin. friends feel exciting, so whether you're listening to your favorite playlist, catching up on podcasts,
Starting point is 00:18:29 or like Jackie, completely disappearing into an audiobook, having everything in one place just makes sense. Amazon music, music, podcasts, and audiobooks all in one app. Download today to start listening. Today's episode is also brought to you by Roeback. Let's talk about the category of outfit that is deeply under-discust, which is the outfit that can survive an entire day. We are not dressing for one activity anymore.
Starting point is 00:18:50 We're dressing for the possibility that your morning walk becomes errands, errands become lunch, lunch becomes pickleball, and then, suddenly you're at dinner wearing the same thing pretending that was your plan all along. And that's why Roebuck has become a staple for us this summer. It is very cute active wear, but not in a way where you look like aggressively athletic or like you're training for something. It's more sporty, pulled together. And that's really the energy we're trying to give this summer, especially because, yeah,
Starting point is 00:19:13 a lot of days we leave the house for the toast and then lunch and, you know, trips to the Cape, clam bakes. Next thing you know, it's like 6 o'clock and you're having dinner in the outfit you had breakfast in. They have really great scorts, which is such a good summer look, really flattering. The waistbands are super comfortable. They give you a smooth, held in feeling without being tight or annoying. And the colors that they come in are very pretty, classic neutrals, but also fun summer shades that make the whole outfit feel a little bit more styled.
Starting point is 00:19:34 So whether you're golfing, playing tennis, walking, doing school pickup, running errands, traveling, or just trying to look like an eligible bacheloret and an ice coffee establishment, Roeback has a look for you. Use code toast, T-O-A-S-T, on Roeback.com for 20% off your first order through the end of this week. That's R-H-O-B-A-C-K-com. And ladies, if you shop for your man, highly recommend Roeback, one for their golf stuff. Ben says it's amazing. But also they have really just like nice loungeware for men, which I think can be hard to find.
Starting point is 00:19:57 So head to Roebuck.com. Use code toast for 20% off your first order through the end of this week. Today's episode is brought to you by Prolon. Our first story, word on the street is that Brooks Nader has split from Taryn Eggerton amid Baywatch filming. She's living her best single life.
Starting point is 00:22:32 So Brooks and Taryn have called it quits after being romantically linked four months ago. Their relationship was casual, but Brooks ended things with him, a source told us weekly. She's living her best single life right now and is embracing Eurostom in San Trope. The insider adds that Brooke. is having a lot of fun during her downtime from filming Baywatch and juggling additional projects she currently has in the works. She's very busy and is excited to be single. Yeah, I mean, I did not think that this was going to be like the end-all be-all.
Starting point is 00:23:00 But at one point, like they went to Australia together, like, which is where he's from, which is kind of like a big thing to do for like a fling. And they were together a lot. Yeah, more so than any other like hookups. You spend a lot of time together. Well, I'm not surprised that this didn't work out. Like, I'm surprised that it kind of fizzled quickly. it was so short and such nothing.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Yeah, and I was like kind of down. Yeah, no, I don't know why I was just like, was like, this is different. And also because he doesn't seem like someone she would choose. I'm like, well, she must like really like him. Yeah. And no, she doesn't really like him. Must have been fun for Taryn because obviously this is like the hottest woman he'll ever be with. Maybe she does really like him.
Starting point is 00:23:35 She's very much a lover girl, you know. Yeah, she's not like shallow and she's not like, she's like not a slut. Like when on her show she was saying that she got married super young. I think like literally she had sex with just him. Like she has like a lot of boyfriends now, but she's not like slutty. So like for her to like go and travel, like I feel like she actually really liked him. Yeah. So I wonder what happened.
Starting point is 00:23:53 I do think like all of this will be on next love that I need her. I think. Oh, please. Now. Yeah, sure. One thing, like I'm starting to get annoyed. Yeah. Like my patient and I'm not a patient person.
Starting point is 00:24:05 I feel as though I've actually been incredibly patient. You're not a patient. What did you say? Person. Patient? Patient. Patient. Yeah, patient.
Starting point is 00:24:11 Like when you like don't like to wait for stuff. Okay. I didn't know. Yeah, patient. It's a new word of the day. And I feel like I've actually been quite patient with this. And time's up? Yeah, big time.
Starting point is 00:24:22 But what does that mean? How will your impatience present itself? I don't know. I just feel like I used to talk about it really complimentary. Like I can't wait. And now it's like, you know what? I can wait. Like whatever.
Starting point is 00:24:30 I already have. I'll keep waiting. Yeah. And like Hulu has released 1,000 shows since then. House of Tustasy premieres today. Like, but even House of Tastasi, didn't we hear about that like five years ago? It's true. And then she had to like slum it on Vanterpubbilla just to get her own show from Lisa
Starting point is 00:24:45 Bannerpump and now she got it. So I understand that these things take time. And I just will never understand why we couldn't get the second half of the first season of love I neither. Oh yeah. It was filmed and ready to go. Do you see the trailer for House of Stasi? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:57 So I knew this, but like they did like tease a lot. There's like a big fight between Taylor Strekker and Katie Maloney. And like I just like I'm so ready. Like obviously I'm going to stand Taylor no matter what. Like she's my best friend and I was going to have her back. But like she couldn't have chosen a more worthy adversary and like I'm so team Taylor. I don't even really know what happened. I wanted to watch like a true viewer.
Starting point is 00:25:15 I was like, don't tell me. Team Taylor. Like, I don't know what happened, but team Taylor. Of course. I can't stand that, Katie Maloney. Of course. She's also your friend. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:25:24 So I would have had her backwardless, but now she made, at least she wasn't fighting with someone I, like, love, you know? Yeah. She wasn't fighting with Stasi. I would have been like, oh. Now I'm like, no, Team Taylor to, like, die. Or la la. And honestly, good for her for like, I feel like it's, everyone's like,
Starting point is 00:25:38 Katie and Stasi back on TV together. And it's like, well, Katie doesn't do it for me. Like, I get why people are excited. Like the Vanderpump rules lore. Like people love Katie and Stasi. Like, which is a Wiiho, yada, yada. And it's like, obviously, I'm saying, Taylor and Stacey.
Starting point is 00:25:50 What about Kristen? Kristen was on watch her up in live saying she does not speak to Stasi. Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah. They, like, friends aren't, some friendships are just not meant to last forever. Yeah. But not every friendship can or should last forever. No, and the witches of WeHo, like, was dysfunctional at best.
Starting point is 00:26:06 Yeah. It was not meant to last forever. It's not meant to last forever. It's a moment in time. It's a phase in your life, but like, we're on to the next phase. So I don't even think there has to be like major tea. It's just like we have outgrown. each other. We are different people.
Starting point is 00:26:17 And we've grown in different directions. Yes. I think that's like totally fair and it doesn't have to be like contentious. And there's no like will they reunite. It's like it's not like that. We grew apart. Yeah. It's not like we're waiting for the come back together. So also to say like Hulu has turned out
Starting point is 00:26:33 plenty of content in the time that I've personally been waiting. I had a whole baby. Like get it together. Yeah. People put out shit on YouTube quicker. Like. Yeah. I think Love Thainator came out like last September. Like it's truly almost been a year. No, it's been more than that.
Starting point is 00:26:48 No. Really? I feel like I was watching it in September. Like if I can like... I feel like that was like two Septembers ago. No, no, no, no. Really? Oh, my being dramatic.
Starting point is 00:26:55 It's not that bad. Okay. Maybe I'm like being so dramatic. Are you looking it up? August 20, 25. So, okay, like less than a year. Okay, sorry. I don't know why.
Starting point is 00:27:08 Maybe like so much has happened to me personally since then. No, and like, you just like every day have wanted it. Yeah. So every day feels like an eternity. Wow, that's really crazy. Okay, never mind. I'm sorry, really. My bad.
Starting point is 00:27:21 So you'll be more patient, you'll exercise more patience. I'll do my best. Okay. Are you ready for our next story? Some cuppily news. Kiki Palmer gushes over genuine chemistry with Hot On's host Sean Evans after New York City date. So Kiki Palmer was on the Today Show and she gussed over her chemistry with Sean Evans. She said our chemistry is genuine.
Starting point is 00:27:43 I couldn't force that if I tried. We always felt that chemistry. It's life. Essentially, we met at work. We had chemistry, work, husband, work wife. You just have that chemistry with people. Then we hang out. When she was asked about how the internet shipping them as a couple, how that makes her feel, she said, I was gagged that everybody was ready to marry me off. Guys, let it cook. They married your girl off in two seconds. That's funny. She said she's not going to let parisotial fans dictate what she does with Sean. She said, I don't let it define the way that I think. If anything, I'm always trying to contextualize things. A lot of times I feel like people get that about me. You can't just take everything at face value. You have to be critically thinking everything you see. And then, yeah. And then previously she had spoken about it with Jay Shetty. Okay, I'm like kind of scared. Like, it's a lot of pressure.
Starting point is 00:28:26 It's a lot of pressure. And I do feel like they were never seen again. But I do feel like they're seeing each other. Oh, I really hope so. You do. I don't know why. Yeah, I think it's early days. And it's like not in a place where you would go on TV and be like,
Starting point is 00:28:38 oh my God, that's my boyfriend. Even if he is her boyfriend, like it's just early days and you don't want to jinx anything and you don't want to put things out into the public before they're solidified. You want to protect it. And I feel like that, if that's what's happening, that this is what she should be saying. Like, you have chemistry. I love that everybody loves it.
Starting point is 00:28:54 I could also see this, like, being the thing that she says, like, when she's, like, not really into him. Maybe I'm just, like, projecting because I'm scared. I'm, like, I personally have a lot. I'm, like, one of the people she's talking about who's, like, cosplaying. Work, husband, work, wife, like, wasn't great that she said that. Correct. It wasn't great.
Starting point is 00:29:05 It's giving dear toaster. Maybe she doesn't, like, know that those terms have a negative connotation. I don't know, like, Kiki Palmer is very much of this world. She is. That's, like, why people love her. She's so real. But of the corporate world, of like the regular daguer? Maybe not.
Starting point is 00:29:18 Maybe not. You see she had Oprah on her podcast. I did. She's so. I'm so glad like everyone like finally I feel that like understands her talent. Yeah. Took some people longer, but that's fine. It's fine.
Starting point is 00:29:30 She's like, love I neither. Right, right. It will come. Right. So yeah, silently rooting for these two. Not going to be one to put pressure on. No, of course not. I would never.
Starting point is 00:29:39 But just like sort of lapping up every update we get. Like and like pinning a lot of my hopes and dreams. on it. No big deal. No big, in a not big deal kind of way. Yeah. Our next story is amazing news for the cardboard sweepers out there. Cardboard sweepers? What's going on? For the digital sweepers, Peacock will start to be included in YouTube premium subscription
Starting point is 00:29:59 bundle starting in 2027. You guys, this is how it starts, by the way. This is how it starts. Because every TV network at one point, then they formed like cable, you know? Like, that's what's going to happen. Yeah, they all buy each other up now. And then we have like big. You pay like one.
Starting point is 00:30:14 thing to the cable company. Yeah, you pay Netflix and you can watch Hulu and YouTube and that's cable. Oh, that's very interesting. So I have YouTube TV. That's not YouTube premium, is it? I feel like it is because when you buy YouTube. YouTube premium is like for the YouTube app when you want to like skip commercials and be able to like download shit for your flight.
Starting point is 00:30:35 No, but like if I'm paying for YouTube TV. I don't think you get Peacock, honestly. That's crazy. Yeah. Oh, it's a new YouTube premium bundle. Okay, so under a new multi-year agreement between NBC and YouTube, Peacock and Peacock Premium, which includes ads, will be available in a new...
Starting point is 00:30:58 So what's premium about it? In a new YouTube premium bundle in the U.S. You guys, this is just, like, simplify it, okay? Yeah. It sounds like no one's getting, like, a good deal here. Just simplify it. Yeah. Like, if you play Gikigubop and Bipubop, then you can have Bipubu B for dinner.
Starting point is 00:31:12 If you didn't get the seepubap, then you get the seepubab, then you your bleep-up-bop won't have creepupap. It's so true. It's literally so fucking true. Like, just simplify it. Can I have YouTube and Peacock, please? I think that's, like, what you get. But only if you buy YouTube premium, which, like,
Starting point is 00:31:27 which is a new thing. I just want to say, no, it's not a new thing. I just want to say nobody has YouTube premium. It's, like, not a popular thing. So this is how they're like. YouTube premium costs $15.99 a month and provides ad for reviewing on YouTube. I'm sorry, $15 a month to, like, skip ads on YouTube. The ability to play videos in the background,
Starting point is 00:31:44 download for offline viewing. We played for YouTube premium. Do you remember? What? When Shane Dawson and Jeffrey Starr, of course. Did that? Actually, that is true. Did there?
Starting point is 00:31:56 We did, we upgraded because we were going on a flight. And so we wanted to download every episode because we were so obsessed with it. The level of embarrassment, I feel, for being so obsessed. And at least I wasn't alone. Like, it was millions of people. And like normal people. We're normal. We weren't even, like, big YouTube fans.
Starting point is 00:32:14 We weren't makeup people. I never heard of Shane Dawson. Like, and I think this was like also my first foray into Jeffrey. The way I bought YouTube premium. Yes, I did. I bought makeup. I was like streaming every episode the second that I dropped. Like, am I okay?
Starting point is 00:32:30 We were so obsessed with it. Why? I don't know. I think it must have been really good. It was. Considering all of those factors and yet we were still obsessed. And, you know, we're discerning women. And for a really long time, like they held the record for like most sales generated
Starting point is 00:32:42 on a Shopify website in a 24-hour period. Like, it wasn't just us. We are discerning women of taste. So they were obviously doing something. And I just want to say, like, I'm not embarrassed that we did that. I am. It just shows range, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:54 No, and it shows, like, open-mindedness. But it also shows that, like, we, and maybe it's because, like, we were younger back then, but I really feel that, like, I'm sort of above getting, like, swept up in things. And I see, like, even Nicolandria. Like, I see people getting swept up. It's like, I'm not, like, you can't convince me. But you know what? I was convinced.
Starting point is 00:33:11 There was a time. But, like, like. that was the truth right like what was you know it was just like so not us it was and that this ugly like man man was like selling the most popular collab makeup yeah men wear makeup like not him no no no that it was like seriously that it was him but remember that scene when they were like rear so they had all the colors but like they weren't in the palette yet they had them in the plastic little tins and jesh i was screaming it so like how it would be in the palette like the color story i think that's what it was called back then and Shane is watching him and he's like what
Starting point is 00:33:59 like watching michaelangelo paint the assistant jebby's like whoa wow like it's like so traumatic and he's just like moving eyes shadows in square oh my god like that was such an amazing time to be alive. It was. We were having fun. And I do feel certain that like there was something there was that had everyone like swept up and it including us. Yeah, it was a combination of the time where like YouTube drama like was really, really popular. And makeup collabs like between huge companies and these influencers were like insanely popular. It was like very like King Kylie era almost with these crazy colors. So like I get it. I get why we got caught up. But like, Like me now, I could never.
Starting point is 00:34:47 No, I know. I guess it just speaks to, you know, with charity. Yeah, it does, which there's a time and a place. Yeah. For the conspiracy palette. Yeah, I held on to mine for a while. Me too. Collectors item.
Starting point is 00:35:00 Yeah. And let me tell you that big, like, that shit was ugly. Like, first of all, not one color could I use. They were like sparkly greens. No, the sparkly green didn't make it. Right. And then they made it a separate shade because people, were like so mad. And then they remade the palette and they included it. And like that's,
Starting point is 00:35:18 they sold even more pallets from people who had already wrote the first palette because there was one new color. But let me tell you, I thought about it. The palette itself. I thought about it to buy a green color that I've never worn in my life and I never will wear. The palette itself was that's on marketing. It was like a treasure chest with like a lock and. Oh, I didn't have that one. The conspiracy. I got the, um, just the black square. I guess I didn't go crazy. Yeah. And then I did become like briefly obsessed with Jeffrey Star Cosmetics and I do think that the quality was there like I think one of the best pallets like ever made was the orgy palette it was great except for the names of the colors. Everything was like come sucker like it was just insane and it's had big
Starting point is 00:35:56 orgy on top but it was like 30 of the prettiest neutrals like all from like beige to brown like things that I use like I don't use anything besides beige and brown on my eyes and that was like that deserved the hype of the conspiracy palette and it was just like embarrassing my makeup artist Carlin yeah like this is the ugliest thing I've ever seen yeah. Can you buy it? But let me shop the conspiracy palette. And it was like, it was conspiracy themed. It was conspiracy themed because like it was a palette collab with Shane Dawson.
Starting point is 00:36:24 And he like does conspiracies about how like Chuckie cheese recycles old pizzas. Right. Which like, do they? I can't speak on that. You've seen it though, right? No. Oh yes. They like make pies with like slices from other pies.
Starting point is 00:36:39 Yeah. Like if you bought a pie and you didn't eat all the slices, they'll take the slices that weren't eaten and put them in another pie. Obviously, like, it's not great, but there are people that do worse things in their restaurants. No, that's really disgusting. Oh, okay, yeah. And it's terrible. Then you see a picture of a Chucky Cheese pizza pie, and it does look like a mis...
Starting point is 00:36:55 And it's not connected. It's not connected. There's not harmony. There's not, like, cheese bridges between slices. Yeah, where, like, this cheese was broken from that cheese. Yeah. Let me look at a piece of... Here.
Starting point is 00:37:07 Like, sorry, this is really damning. Maybe it was just, like... That is. Maybe it was just, like, one location. Or maybe this like one picture. Yeah. That is so funny. How did we start talking about this?
Starting point is 00:37:20 I don't know. I'll find any opportunity to bring it up. Of course. What was a story? Why we once paid for YouTube premium much. Oh, oh yeah, of course. Also to say, well, I would love to get free peacock, but not, I don't need YouTube premium.
Starting point is 00:37:34 And how do you feel about ads? If I'm paying for a subscription, there is no world in which there should be a subscription that has ads. If you're going to get the free version, of course, yes, give me advertisements. If I'm paying and there's literally one commercial, that's bullshit, that is fucking bullshit. But that's like a new thing now. Yeah. A lot of these services have like multiple tiers.
Starting point is 00:37:55 And some of the tiers are like, yeah, you could pay less, but you still got commercials. I'm sorry, commercials are insane. Yeah. It's wrong. Well, that's like free. Right. But there's a lot of commercials, but that's fine. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:06 And that's why. I like bloop. See, I always buy. I like twatjah blueblah. I always buy like the most expensive. version of a subscription service. And that's why... A big spender.
Starting point is 00:38:18 That's why I cancel them in the off season. Of course. Because, yes, when I'm not using Peacock, I have the most expensive peacock. I think it's like $16 a month. So, yeah, like, cardboard. Take that in your cardboard and smoke it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:29 Yeah. Are you ready for our next story? Mm-hmm. Which is our fourth story. Mm-hmm. So a little more updates in the Page Paul Influencer Gate. Yeah, I saw. And, you know, we had posted a clip about this in
Starting point is 00:38:43 people had a lot of strong responses. Yes, it's very mixed in terms of what people are saying. And the store itself... I think it only proves like how normalized influencer hate has become. Wow. No, for real. And it's like, yeah, there are influencers who are awful, right? Like, they film you without your consent or they come and like ask small businesses
Starting point is 00:39:00 for free stuff. Like, of course. Are we just making generalizations now based on stereotypes of groups of people? Yeah. I don't do that, do you? Right. Like, I thought we were not supposed to do that. I thought that's a bad thing to do.
Starting point is 00:39:11 Right. It's like the same way that like the I always see videos of like a cop like being really mean. Like then they say like, oh, she sued and she got. Does that mean all cops are bad? No. Like we're judging a group of people based on their jobs based on the work of like select individuals. Like that's actually exactly what we were taught not to do. Right.
Starting point is 00:39:27 It's called stereotyping. The store posted an in feed first a picture of the sign and then said our shop is a third generation antique business about to celebrate 100th year doing business on the island next year. In our store we promote art and art. antiques and represent over 40 artisans of all nature and arts and crafts, yada, yada, yada. No offense, but John, I guess that's the owner, didn't even know who Paige Paul was 24 hours ago. He doesn't really do social media. I had to tell him. The no influencer sign isn't about her and never was.
Starting point is 00:39:57 But her comment did not say, assume. No, we assumed it's about her. And I think that, like, she represents the culture. But she never said, like, I'm taking this person. She actually made a great statement on behalf of influencers worldwide. Yes. But so they're sort of focusing on like, look, she thinks it's about herself. She never said that.
Starting point is 00:40:12 This person said, this is a cultural discussion, one to talk about openly and honestly in your own community and neighborhood. Oh, okay. Do you like people filming around you, talking on your streets into tiny microphones, recording themselves in your shop, recording you, incidentally, walking past a ringlight as you quietly make your way to get a coffee at 8 a.m. Recording next to you as you try to eat with friends. The list goes on and on. A statement on influencer culture. And the annoying influencer, sure. Of course.
Starting point is 00:40:37 And Paige responded to this in a company. She was in our comments. I know. see because someone was like, it's annoying, you know, with people are filming and blah, blah, blah, blah. And asking for free stuff. Like, I agree there are things that influencers do that are annoying. There are things that accountants do that are annoying. Like, stop trying to make me pay my tax bill.
Starting point is 00:40:51 Like, I don't know why we're like focusing so heavily on what this particular industry does wrong. So the person commented saying, I feel like the no influencer sign means don't be in here making content. Like, come and be normal. Don't be an influencer in our store. I don't feel like it means if you're an influencer, they don't want you in it at all. But that's what the sign said. She said, they could have made a sign that said that, but they didn't. They could have made a sign that said no.
Starting point is 00:41:10 filming. Right. No content. If you wanted it to be snarky, sure, like you could have made like a start guy about, no they literally said no influence. I'm sorry, you're not going to change my mind about this. They're banning people, not behavior. Like, I don't feel comfortable going into that store. I, like, I couldn't go. I can't go. And the things I would never start like filming and like being obstructive in the store. And I'm the first person to be like, don't get randoms in your content. Don't be. Of course. And I'm so shy about. There is like a code of ethics when you are a person who films in public. And yes, a lot of influencers do not follow that. And a lot of them also like, you know, their shtick is like sort of slap sick, public humiliation.
Starting point is 00:41:44 So like they thrive on being sort of nuisances in public. And yeah, that's all well. And we can have a conversation about that. But that's not what these people were doing. No. So like now you want to change a tune. Like that's how what you're doing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:55 So right. No filming. You were just straight up discriminating. You were. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No content.
Starting point is 00:42:02 No pictures. Right. No ring lights. Yeah. I agree. Like a ringlight is destructive. There are like annoying people. course.
Starting point is 00:42:08 And you know what? They're not even like. influencers. Correct. They're the wannabes. It's so true. Yeah, and then people like, we'll have content. They'll have someone in the background.
Starting point is 00:42:18 They'll like zoom in on that person's reaction. Like, I don't like stuff like that. I hate that. I don't like. People who film other people, it's actually like a big drama right now. I don't know if you saw this guy, like went over to this couple who was like making out in a park, like a public park. It was filming them.
Starting point is 00:42:32 It was kind of giving an astronomer. I saw about it, but please. They're like too high profile lawyers who I believe are having an affair. But it's like, it's like, it's like. it's kind of like their business to have an affair. Yeah. You know? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:42 And it's like with astronomer, it was like, well, don't go to a concert together. No, it was like, it was like, it was unfortunate. Like, like, people go to concerts and it was, like, you can't just, like, walk up to somebody and film them. Like, I'm sorry, I'm actually with the adulterers on that one. Yeah, no, they're like conducting their business. What, say, can't go to the park. Like.
Starting point is 00:42:58 Right. You know? Right. Are you ready for our next story, our fifth and final? I am. You know what? You know what to choose your own adventure. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:06 Would you like to discuss LeBron further? or discuss Megan Markle on Top Chef Australia. Shit. We could do both. No, because we have to do dear toasters. We haven't talked about Megan in a while. And I saw the clip of her. I've ignored this story for so long because I'm like...
Starting point is 00:43:23 They're making it such a big deal. I'm like, yeah. And it's like I feel like sometimes when we pick Megan's stories, people are like, you just want to hate on Megan, like you always paint her in a bad late. So I'm like... So I just won't pick Megan. I just won't pick Megan like because this isn't news.
Starting point is 00:43:35 Like when anyone is a guest judge on anything, like that's not news. Right. And I don't pick Megan. I pick Clark. Let's talk about Megan. Because I saw the video. It like went viral of her actual appearance.
Starting point is 00:43:47 And like the people were freaking out and rightfully. So like it's insane. People are like kind of like freaking out about this. Yes. It's outsized news for a guest judging spot. And like it has gotten to a point where I've actually sat down and thought about it. Because I just kept pressing by Megan's doing Megan. And I'm not going to get in her way.
Starting point is 00:44:02 Of course. But then I was like, I don't know for the 50th time I saw it. And I was like, Megan Markle is a guest host on top. Chef Australia. Master Chef, Australia. Why? So I think, why I think it's interesting is because I feel like they're kind of making a sort of like obvious shift. They've sort of like, you know, exhausted the resources of America. And obviously they can't go to the UK. And Australia is like this huge other world that is like has a lot of popular culture, has a lot of media. And so like, yeah, let's start like farming there. And I feel like she just did that event, remember? And it was in Australia. And now she's on Master's
Starting point is 00:44:40 I feel like they're just going to start, like, milking Australian X. They're taking over the world, one continent at a time. I wouldn't say they're taking over the world because they didn't take over America. They almost did. Like, they almost, I was trying to say, like, the collective, like, switch up on Megan and Harry should be studied because they almost had us, like, by the balls. Like, everyone was obsessed with them. Like, everything they did.
Starting point is 00:45:01 Like, yes, what's my queen? And literally, all it took was with love Megan to make everyone's, that actually was the turning point. And his book was? No, people still, like, ate up the book. No, there was like viral clips of the audiobook. With Love Jam and Confessions of a Female Founder was bad. Yeah. That's like, we've always been like a little bit critical.
Starting point is 00:45:20 But also it's like here's the, what the problem was more so this. It's like they came to us with this story. And everyone was like, oh my gosh, yes, like please be. Privacy and private. And it's like with every move they made that was like antithetical to their mission statement. It just chipped away at what they did more and more. So it wasn't just like one thing. But like even the documentary, it's like, wait, you're putting out a documentary about this story that like all you've...
Starting point is 00:45:45 It's insanely private. You're getting so personal. And we're like, okay, that's a lot. But like, try your truth. Tell your truth. Try your truth. And then it's the book. And then you go back and like, remember the Oprah thing.
Starting point is 00:45:53 And it's like, wait, you guys are literally like doing the opposite of what you said that you wanted. And it's just coming off so hypocritical and phony. And then the more and more and the with love and the podcast, it's like, wait, you guys are actually like the thirstiest people alive. When you said that, like, you were wanted to. to be dehydrated. They overplayed their hand because people in America were like giving them a lot of grace. It was like, yeah, they want privacy. But like, yes, give us the documentary.
Starting point is 00:46:18 So imagine how much shit they had to do for people to like finally, like really turn on them. So they've sort of exhausted all the options. And I think that they're headed west east, wherever I'm. It depends which way you want to go where you're flying from. Right. They're headed to the outback. They are. So, okay, I like that theory because first I was like, this is so not.
Starting point is 00:46:40 The last two public appearances were both in Australia. And not on the same trip. But it's like I couldn't even imagine her being on like Master Chef. America. America as a guest judge. Like that's just like what like random former pop stars do. Like it's just like very random. And it's like one thing that you do in the sea of millions of other little things that you do.
Starting point is 00:46:59 So like the fact that she doesn't do a lot of little things. I'm like, why this? Okay. So say they're taking over Australia. Like why start with Master Chef? Well, I think she likes. Like to the, maybe she learned, like, that's what, with love, Megan, like, wouldn't have been such a flop if it was the first thing she did out of the Brexit gate, Mexico gate. I think that, like, the role of, like, Joanna Gaines homemaker is actually a good lane for her.
Starting point is 00:47:22 She fucked it up in America. So maybe she's, like, starting fresh in Australia with that. You know, she's not trying to be, like, an author or an actor. She's just doing food. Food. Yeah. And she can go to Australia and be billed as, like, the life. style guru food expert.
Starting point is 00:47:42 Yep. Even though we know here, like, it wasn't expert. That is just edible flowers. Yeah, and it wasn't expert. Okay, I also think, based on the crown, so that's where I'm getting my information, like Australia really love Diana. And they're sort of going to go. She definitely fancies herself a modern day Diana.
Starting point is 00:47:58 And they're going to go soak up some of that goodwill. Yeah, yeah. There's goodwill there for them. That's true. The Australian people, like, I believe are very friendly people. And I think they have a lot of love for the crown, but also like they understand the complexities of it. Yes, they love Diana.
Starting point is 00:48:10 That's a good call too. Maybe she thinks that she'll be well received there. Yeah, because they're also just like running out of places. Yeah. But there is a lot of like love to be had there for them that's like lingering from Diana. From Diana. Like the whole Diana left in the outback. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:24 That's beautiful. Yes. So I don't know. Once I started to think about like what she did there, I was like that's really crazy that that's where we're after. Like the woman who was really the most famous woman in the world at one point is like slumming in on this random cooking show. is one of the most famous women in the world because like she's still famous whether or not she's liked or not like she's massive deal this random you would think she would like have different standards yeah and it's just like what's what's the what's the plan here oh I don't think they have you know what I mean like where's the manager oh I don't think they're a manager story and how does this connect to the next movie you know like I just feel like it's just like there's no plan no they're flying by the seat of their hands and at this level and just like I said with her social media like I don't think she has and she doesn't have a social
Starting point is 00:49:09 a team. A team she does it herself and like, where are the professionals? There are a couple of people who do their social medias themselves and absolutely have to stop Blake lively being one of them. Have you ever like watched her Instagram stories? They're fucking crazy. It's a reshare of a story of a reel from a post.
Starting point is 00:49:25 Oh God. With the person, original person's caption and then the reshare is caption and then the caption and then Blake's caption in like funky text and it's so long always. Like she has some of the worst social media ever. And actually when she's obviously clearly trying to be. kind of like come back from from this and just like rebuild goodwill and social media is a great place to do that and she's really not doing herself any favors it's awful her Blake Brown Beauty is going out of business really I haven't heard that's just what I heard I haven't heard totally
Starting point is 00:49:52 alleged unconfirmed I like Blake Brown Beauty it's just what I heard I don't I didn't I don't use it so much anymore because it's too scented but if you like sense yeah like a fragrance sometimes I was craving fragrance let's when I met Jesse Draper and I was jealous of her hair Yeah, because a hair smell like is a perfume. I know, and it's like, but then I have to live with it 24-70. You know what? That's why I like getting a weekly blowout, which yes, thank you for noticing I did get yesterday, because they like scrub the shit out of your hair.
Starting point is 00:50:19 I always use like a nice salon shampoo. And you know what? You do have like a fragrance. My hair smells great too. For like a couple of, because it's a deeper wash than you get at home. My hair smells great. Let's dive into Deer Toasters I weeklyed by segment that's brought to you by honest. Know that. We have a particular brand of advice, and I know you want it. So write into Deer Toasters at gmail.com or head to our website,
Starting point is 00:56:19 the Toastpodcast.com. Always anonymous that goes without saying you guys have been watching the show for eight years. And have we ever slipped up? No. Not once. Until today. Here are the three chosen today. Hey, Swirley.
Starting point is 00:56:29 I need some advice. I just received a full wedding invite to a girl I went to high school with. She was invited to mine a few years ago. We're certainly not like close anymore or only text with each other in the last four years are the addresses to send invites. She's using a website for RSVP, which has you add in your name and then lets you RSVP for your full party. I've tried every variation of my name and my husband's name and we just aren't on the list. Do I text her and say it won't let me RSVP or do I just wait until she texts me to ask if we can come? We received to save the date and an invitation, so I think we're in there somewhere, but I don't know how to awkwardly ask if my name is spelled wrong
Starting point is 00:56:59 or if she forgot to add us. I'm a super non-confrontational person and severely awkward about social mishaps so I'm not sure the best way to approach this. SOS from her girly that doesn't want to make a scene. She got an invitation? She got a save the date and an invitation and like I think on these wedding websites
Starting point is 00:57:11 you have to, you can't just RCP it has say Claudia Oshray and if that name is like in the system it'll say okay you're RASB but she tried all these different variations and like her name's not there and I think she thinks just because they have like this kind of like fake relationship and it's kind of crazy
Starting point is 00:57:22 that she was invited in the first place maybe the girl like changed her mind or uninvited her, but I think that if you were uninvited after receiving an invitation, it would have been a little bit more overt than like your name not adding up. Yeah, I think if she went to the trouble of sending you an invitation, you're invited. And, you know, technology is funky. It's true. Also, that sounds really complicated, like that you have to spell your name exactly correctly
Starting point is 00:57:44 the way that they thought that you would want. So I would just text her and be like, hi, invitation was beautiful. I'm having a hard time RSVP on the website. But Dan and I will be there. So excited to celebrate. Yeah. and if you are uninvited, like, she does have to tell you. So you're sort of giving her the opportunity.
Starting point is 00:57:59 I would say so excited to celebrate because, like, that could mean, like, even if we're not invited. Like, it can mean we're getting drinks one day to celebrate your wedding. Like, yeah, no, I think it's safe for you to assume that you're invited. I agree. I agree. And, like, by the way, it's not like the Oscars. Like, she can calm down. Sometimes people do send a save the date and then you never get the invitation.
Starting point is 00:58:16 It's like, well, you're not invited and things change and you got kicked away. But this wasn't a save the date. It was an invitation. She did get the same the date. And you also had the invitation. So I think you are invited. I don't know why. And don't feel like,
Starting point is 00:58:25 no, if you're coming from a place of like inferiority. Like that, like, you shouldn't, you don't deserve to be invited to this wedding. Like, this wedding is like, whatever. She would be lucky to have you. She'll be lucky to have a girl like you. You know, you're definitely invited, right? Dan and I will be there.
Starting point is 00:58:39 Yeah. Just, yeah, don't be like, is there something wrong? Just say, give your R-S-P-P to her. Got the invitation. So beautiful. I'm having trouble doing the website, but want to let you know, Dan and I will be there. So excited to celebrate.
Starting point is 00:58:52 Yeah, you're going to look. beautiful. Most beautiful ride. Don't like her ass, actually. I take it back. She's a bitch. Keep it to the studs. Hey, girlies. Love you endlessly. Help me get over an ick. I've been with my husband for a decade. We have four kids together. In the last few years, he is taken to sleeping naked, and it slowly escalated to him
Starting point is 00:59:10 walking around naked before bedtime. I'm just like not a naked person. I like to be clothed. I sleep in pajamas. I get changed into at least my robe after showering. I wish I could just not be bothered by this, but I can't unsee it. It's so jarring to see a full. frontal penis so often. Also, when our kids come into our room, he's really naked. He has to get changed under the comforter to quickly cover himself. To me, this is such a turnoff, but he loves it and he feels super comfortable like this. What do I do?
Starting point is 00:59:36 Okay. This is like tough, but not so crazy, but I do like the idea of a robe. Like, you get the naked feeling? You do, and he could be naked sometimes, but his robe is, like, right there and he can always be, like, robed. But how do you, like, tell the person? Because, like, this is the person who's supposed to love you unconditionally, and you're telling them to put their clothes on.
Starting point is 00:59:53 Like, it's just bad. I feel like you can say that to something. To your husband of 10 years. You'd just be like, what's with all the nudity? Yeah, but like you've kind of let it go on too long. That like it's just life now. You can make it about the kids. Yeah, like that they're getting older.
Starting point is 01:00:06 And like you don't want them always naked in the world. Right. Like letting them think that like, oh, I get into like someone's house, I can get naked. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Let me have kids. And also like give him an amazing robe so that like he can sleep in the robe. A silk one that feels just like nothing.
Starting point is 01:00:21 Yeah. Yeah. But then you will get the ick seeing your man in a robe. But a different sort of ick. Yeah. It's just proof like no matter how long you've been married. Like you're not, everyone is susceptible to an ick.
Starting point is 01:00:31 Yeah. What was the last time you got an ick? That's a good question. Yeah, I know. I should start like writing them down. It's not a lot. It's not a lot. Oh, I told you guys.
Starting point is 01:00:43 Like when Ben's supposed to stole the covers for me, I got major ick. Like go to war. Get out of my bed. And actually happened the other night where like he took them and like, I took that. We were both asleep. Actually, I'm just remembering this now. He like grabbed them for me.
Starting point is 01:00:55 And I like grab them back. off. He grabbed the bag. I'm like, oh, you're disgusting. I feel like he went to use a product of mine or something. You know what I mean? That'll do it. And I'm like, no. Get out of here. Get out. Scram. She doesn't want you. A robe.
Starting point is 01:01:10 Look, that sound of that girl. Yeah. Scram. Get out of here. All right. Our third and final, dear Toasters, Dear Jackson turd. I'm a girlie in need of advice. My husband recently lost his mom after a fast and brutal battle with cancer, and there have been some really hard family confrontation since then. Lately, I've overheard him talking to himself in the shower a few different times.
Starting point is 01:01:29 It's almost like he's in the middle of an argument or having a full conversation with someone. I genuinely can't tell if he's just processing everything that's happened or if it's something I should be more concerned about. I don't want to embarrass him and bring it up. Do I casually bring it up or do I leave it alone and it's his way of working out his grief? Sincerely a to a toaster who does not want to overstep. When did she pass? Did it say? Oh, sorry.
Starting point is 01:01:46 Before you like throw away the iPad. Yeah, sorry. I'm done with the iPad. Throw it in the garbage. Um, recently. Okay. I would say like he's working through some stuff. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:55 I would allow him to do so. And don't like listen because obviously that's like kind of weird to hear as an outsider. I would check in on him and say like, how are you doing? Is everything okay? And you can even mention like I've heard you sometimes like talking. You know, do you want to talk about it? It's crazy because like talking to yourself like is can be like very normal. It can also be like a sign of schizophrenia.
Starting point is 01:02:16 Like I think a lot of people say like do it and it's like very healthy. Like I know you only talk to yourself in your brain. Right. I'm always thinking to myself. Thinking. Who isn't? So what's the difference between all of that and saying it? No, of course.
Starting point is 01:02:31 But only like in private. Especially like triggered by a big trauma and the fact that he's doing it in the shower, which like for people, some people sing like it's very cathartic. Oh, you're making, by the me because I said I. We have a viral clip where Jackie was like, I don't talk to myself, but like, no, you're like, I mean, I talk to myself but like in my head. And I'm like, yeah, that's called thinking. One of our most viral clips.
Starting point is 01:02:49 It feels very conversational. Of course. Like that's called having a brain. Like, I just feel like I'm always in conversation. in my brain. You know, there's a difference. Sometimes I'm just thinking like, up in these clouds. And other times I'm like,
Starting point is 01:03:01 lawyering. Other times I'm lawyering. I don't want to be mean, but like you're not special. Like that's what being human is. No, and the thing is, I don't want to be special. Like I don't want that to be like, oh, an oddity. I don't want to be odd. So true.
Starting point is 01:03:14 Special is odd. Agreed. Special is different. I just want to be like more. Yeah, like, why stand out when you were born to fit in? That's like that new trend of like people who are sheep. It's like in a world full of Botox and filler and cosmetic enhancements, this is me. And it's like the person in the crowd.
Starting point is 01:03:34 Yeah. No, in the crowd. Just like a sheep, not the one going against the green. I know. It's like I can't always be this like individual, creative, riddle thinker. As someone who's a maverick, I don't also want to be special. Sometimes I just want to be like a group thinker, you know. And that's how we ended up in the conspiracy theory palette, honestly.
Starting point is 01:03:53 Yeah. Yeah. I don't want to say I want to be a group thing, right? I just like, I just want to be like a regular girl. It's true. I don't want to be a regular girl. I'm glad to know that you guys are loyering with yourselves too. Yeah, we are.
Starting point is 01:04:05 Like, I have in court. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. And I think a lot of people do that in the shower. So the fact that he's doing it in the shower, like actually feels appropriate. Oh, right, back to you. Sorry. I'm not to make it about us.
Starting point is 01:04:17 Sorry, dear toaster. I don't want to do anything. Like, she also said, like, things have been like contentious with family members, and they've been having, like, a lot of uncomfortable. He's lying. Yeah. And you know what? Maybe he's slaying those arguments because of the work he's putting in in the shower. Yeah. And I would just check in. Like, and I would say, mention it. Like, you know, I've heard you talk to yourself. I just want to make sure like everything's okay.
Starting point is 01:04:35 You're welcome to talk to me, but like process how you need to process. No judgment. This is a judgment free zone. 100%. I think it's fine. I think it's fine. I think it's fine. I think it's fine. That's our weekly by segment and that's our show. And that's our show. Thank you so much. Thank you. the faster stories from a monthly part of YouTube to watch you on YouTube and subscribe to the video thumbs up
Starting point is 01:04:51 or also feel like guys our pocket as far back and fans that's bye by to your love you love you love you
