It'll come as a relief to Lionesses fans amidst growing social media rumours that Toonie and Lessie, as they're better known, are no longer besties. Hello. Welcome to our brand new podcast. This is the Toonie and Russo show with me, Vic Hope, Ella Toon, Alessia Russo.

We are here. We are here. It is happening. We have a podcast. How exciting. Would you believe it? Listen, the reason this is happening is because I have heard the fans, they were screaming for you to be reunited.

Why a podcast, though? Why did you want to do this? Oh, just to talk about everything and anything, really. Just to have a bit of fun, tell loads of different stories, and, yeah, I think podcasts are the big thing now, aren't they? I'm putting that on a T-shirt. Podcasts are the big thing now, aren't they? Well, you are this football friendship that so many of us have looked to, looked at, loved.

And it is time, it is long overdue that you're back together. We've recorded a couple of episodes already. This is episode zero. Does that mean anything to you? Is it like a pilot of a TV show? I'll be honest, I'm not entirely sure myself. But here we are. But in the episodes that we've recorded, we've covered stuff like what it's like at camp, what you guys were like at school, big prep for games, what gets you motivated, fame, what you were like at school,

going on holiday, that sort of stuff. And I'll be honest, dear listener, it goes in all directions. It goes off topic half the time, doesn't it? Yeah, we do go round in circles sometimes. What do you think it is that makes you such good friends? We are polar opposites, aren't we? Yeah, opposites attract, don't they?
