And we're live. Welcome to the program, everyone. We have a really big day, a lot going on. Oh, my gosh, right? I mean, we haven't seen a showdown quite like this since, oh, I don't know the days of 1963, Alabama, but I'm telling you, you know what? California's in trouble because the feds have the legal jurisdiction here. We've seen it historically, and we can go back to the Constitution. We're going to get into all of that, plus AOC's wild comments. I would not take her advice if I were a Democrat right about now. last Democrat to have taken her advice, I do believe, just got hit with an indictment. She's facing up to 17 years in federal prison for what she did. Meanwhile, Disney's got a new disaster on its hands just as the FCC comes in for the kill, right? Some new video has emerged

of one Bob Iger talking about the importance of DEI and this, that, and the other, and I don't think it's a very good thing considering what he's up against there at the Meanwhile, Terry Moran's out. Right about now, I'd be really worried if I were Gavin Newsom. And I'd be really worried because I'd be preparing for some kind of smackdown. Does he have a legal education? It seems like every politician has a legal education. I'm not so sure. I know his ex-exam. wife, Kimberly did. But Gavin Newsom doesn't strike me as the brightest bulb. He's political to a certain extent, but not necessarily the brightest. And he decided to take this one on and it's not good. It's not good because any which way you slice it. We don't have to show all the video. You've probably

seen it elsewhere. But there's a lot of bad stuff going on right now in California. I'm pretty glad I don't live on the West Coast right about now. And he got hit with a doozy, okay, this week because he came forward, he had this emergency request. He wanted the feds out of there. We don't want you taking over our National Guard. We don't want 4,000 National Guard troops. We don't want the Marines here. We don't want any of it. And Donald Trump's like, but wait a second, because you guys aren't actually doing what you need to protect people. You compare and contrast that, for example, with Texas. What did Texas do? They just brought in 5,000 National Guard. They are mobilizing their National Guard in Texas

ahead of this, you know, no Kings Day thing coming up on Saturday because they want to be be prepared for any of these protests. And yeah, you know, California. California's like, oh, bring it on. It's all fine. Well, there's this little thing, right, called Title 10, U.S. Code 12406, and it enables the president to, quote, call into federal service members and units of the National Guard in such numbers as the president considers necessary to execute the laws of the United States. So he just sent another 2,000 out there, plus he sent 700 Marines. So you've got grand total 4,000 National Guard. You've got 700 Marines.

And you know who doesn't like it? One Gavin Newsom. No, he doesn't like it at all because he said, wait a second, aren't I supposed to have a say in this? Well, theoretically, yeah, you should. But, you know, if you're not actually enforcing the federal law and you're refusing to enforce the federal law, well, that's when the federal government's going to come in and trump you, literally.

Now, you know, is it warranted or does this sort of escalate the situation? I mean, whatever happened to the state's rights, I thought that was what you do. Because you tell the state, this is what we're thinking of doing. You know, you don't just send people in. You don't just send troops in. But what do I know? I never run a state. But I don't really, you know, when you come in and everyone is, when you go into the donut shop to look for people and you're dressed in tactical gear,

you're creating an issue. You're creating a problem. You want people to come. You've scared them. Even when people are supposed to be there, when they come to talk to the judge, you're arresting them right after. What is going on here? I think what really matters from sort of a long view here is the fact that he is militarizing and deploying the guard for the purpose of policing Americans' protests activities.

right, our freedom of speech, our freedom of assembly. And there's a very big, stark demarcation between military troops and law enforcement, public law enforcement, civilian law enforcement. And you are an army turned inside to police that citizens can cause chaos, fascism, and fascism. And so I think that's where we're heading, right? Chaos and fascism and, you know, Trump thinks he's a king because he can suddenly call it. No, he's actually trying to do what he can to protect the country. Right?

I mean, here, I'm going to jump into Gavin's argument. We'll give him his due, he and the view, right? So Gavin's argument out in California is that the statute, as it currently stands, 12-406, actually only allows the president to move in with the National Guard, provided that it's in conjunction or with approval, right, of the governor. So the way the language is, it says it goes. through the governors of the states. But here's the thing.

If the governor is not on board with what the federal government is trying to do, then once again, you go back to the power of the presidency to call up the National Guard into Federal Service members and unions of the National Guard in such numbers as he considers necessary to execute the law of the land, the United States. Okay, so here's the whole thing.

Like I went and looked all this up, of course. 12406, National Guard in Federal Service. So basically it reads that whether the U.S. or any of its territories, Commonwealth's possessions, is invaded or in danger of invasion by a foreign nation. Now, don't forget, that's one of the things that they have mentioned, invasion. There is a rebellion or danger of rebellion against the authority of the government of the United States. Well, I guess they're in danger of that as well, right? Because they're basically saying a giant F you, go round up your own, you know, like ISIS

they're trying to arrest people. And you've got the states saying, no, no way, not happening. The president is unable with the regular forces to execute the laws of the United States. Well, that's actually the case, right? Well, then he's able to go in and do this. But this is, do you see what I outlined in red here? Orders for these purposes shall be issued to the governors of the states or in the case of the District of Columbia through the commanding general of the nation, National Guard of D.C. So they're saying it shall be issued through the governors of the state. but that's actually kind of loose. That's where the loosey-goosey comes from through the governor.

So it's not explicitly said, and you can see on the graphic that I put up on the screen, you know, he's sending these 4,000 total, 2,000 additional national guards into California and says the requirement to issue orders through the government, or through the governors, I should say, does not explicitly mandate the governor's consent. And the law is actually silent on what happens if a governor is not upholding federal law. And again, you can go back to, you know, not that we want to go back to these days, but you think about what went down in 1963 in the state of Alabama. And it's a horrible sort of contrast to have to invoke. But that is a case where you did not have Governor Wallace doing what the feds wanted and they were not allowing for integration in the state.

And as a result of that, Johnson had to. to send in the National Guard, regardless of what the Alabama governor said, in order to ensure that the land, the law of the land, was being executed. In that case, you know, you could go back to Commerce Clause. Here, you get the Commerce Clause, you get the Sperms Clause, you get the naturalization clause. And if the government, Congress, makes laws, which they have, saying you cannot illegally be in the country, and they are arresting people who are not only illegally in the country but have also committed crimes and they're trying to deport them and the federal and the state government is in the way well then you are going to have a problem right i mean you're

gonna have a problem and so this whole business about well you know you can't do it you can't do it you can't do it because the state doesn't allow it it doesn't matter in this case the state is irrelevant and you know this is why tom homan's like for goodness sakes i should go and arrest gavin he's not actually going to do that, but you know, the president's not necessarily against it. The California governor has been daring Tom Homan to arrest him. Trump was asked, what do you think? Should he? Should he do it? I would do it if I were Tom. I think it's great. Gavin likes the publicity, but I think it would be a great thing. He's done a terrible job. Watch out Gavin. I know that was hard to hear. He was outside the helicopter, et cetera, but he's like, yeah, you know, I don't think

be such a bad idea. I mean, Gavin wants the publicity. I don't really mind Gavin. I kind of like Gavin. He's just, he's kind of being a jerk in this particular situation, shall we say. And then, you know, you have everybody going on about this king thing. He thinks he's a king. He thinks he's a king. I want to cut to the White House because just moments ago, this just came in, fresh, hot off the presses. The president's like, no, I mean, like, if I were a king, like, actually wouldn't have any problems doing any of this, right? Like, actually, I'd be able to get everything signed into law. The fact that I'm being. have met with roadblocks at every single darn turn.

That kind of proves that I'm not a king. Several no kings protests planned across the country on Saturday as well. What are your thoughts on those? What are they going? No kings? No kings. I don't feel like a king. I have to go through hell to get stuff approved.

A king would say, I'm not going to get this. A king would have never had the California mandate to even be talking to him. He wouldn't have to call up Mike Johnson and Thune and say, fellas, you got to pull this off. And after years, we get it done. No, no, we're not a king. We're not a king at all. Thank you very much. He's not a king. He's not a king because he can't get stuff done that he needs to get done, right? So anyway, court's in session right now. What had happened was the judge was kind of smack and Gavin down saying, you know what, this whole emergency thing to kick the feds out.

That's not going to fly. And so as a result of that, they said, we're going to hear arguments today, June 12th. And so we can anticipate something coming forward rather soon. But as I explained, it's not that it's uncharted territory. I think you just have to go all the way back to 1963 in order to see that, you know, the feds kind of came in and stepped over them. They did also at the time have a very clear order back then on desegregation. And so maybe this will result in some kind of very clear order from Congress, like a clear, clear mandate. If somebody is here illegally and is a criminal, then guess what?

they are out. In the meantime, though, they have to rely on this section, this Title 10 code section 12406, which enables the federal government to kind of jump in there as they need to in this particular case. But back to the Kings thing, because this is actually important. It's going to keep coming up as we go into Saturday. They have this whole No Kings Day, which is being paid for by lots of liberal groups, and it's under the guise of being this completely peaceful thing. Look, if it's completely peaceful, fine. But when you read it, it doesn't actually seem like an attack on Trump. They put an ad. Walmart eras actually put an ad in the New York Times. And it doesn't feel specifically like an attack on Trump. And I think they did that deliberately. But you know what it is. I know what it is.

And, you know, they've been gearing up for this for a while. This no King's thing is like their new talking point. And this is what we heard from Garimendi. And taking control of the National Guard, federalizing it and saying he's going to double the number of guards members who are here on the ground. In your mind, do you think this is just about immigration enforcement and creating law in order, or is there something else going here on here? Well, clearly there's something else going here. As was just reported, the L.A. police and the Sheriff's Department have the situation under control. The federalization of the National Guard and then bringing in the Marines is something different. This is about Trump pretending that he is the king of this nation, that he has the ultimate

power and authority to do anything he wants to do, regardless of law, regardless of tradition, and regardless of the tradition of the state governor in California and every other state, really controlling their own National Guard. Yeah, but you know, I would go back to what the president just said if he really were the king. It wouldn't be that hard. I didn't get stuff done. No, it's just, it's another talking point for them. And don't forget, look, Barack Obama sent millions of people out of the country.

He actually deported more illegal migrants than any other president in history. But you know what? They don't say boo then. Suddenly now it becomes an issue. Oh, it's an issue because it's Donald Trump. You know, what else is an issue? issue, hey, have we got this one? AOC, yeah, totally clueless woman, you know that. She really should have stayed in the barista profession. It might have done her some good, some good.

You might have given her a chance to mature and actually understand sort of Econ 101. And, you know, if that didn't work out for her, maybe she could have gone on to become a business owner, maybe owned her own bar, and then maybe she would have understand economics a little bit better. But, you know, she doesn't. And she also doesn't understand law. And she's out there giving some really inflammatory, bad advice to her colleagues in Congress. And you're sitting there going, wait a second, is she really that clueless to which I would just tell you? Yeah, you know what? AOC, she is. See that? Yeah, that's in part how you know. That's in part how you know. Well, that's her in the Puerto Rican Day parade in her red dress. I guess those dance lessons that she was charging taxpayers

for allegedly. They're going to good good use. She's. gets to be on top of the Puerto Rican Day parade float alongside the guy she wants to see become the next mayor. Anyway, this is what she actually put out. And this is not good. She writes, it is 100% carrying water for the opposition to participate in this collective delusion. The Democrats, for some reason, need to answer for every teen.

Listen up, guys. This is important. Who throws a rock rather than hold the Trump and minister. accountable for intentionally creating chaos and breaking the law to stoke violence. They are in charge. So, wow, she does not want the National Guard or the Marines in California. And she says we should not be apologizing for anybody who's violent. So if you throw rocks, if you loot a business, you're just a team.

doing what a teen needs to do in Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's view, because she somehow, in her, frankly, twisted socialist, communist mindset can justify violence under the appropriate time and place. Again, these are her words, not mine. It is 100% carrying water for the opposition to participate in this collective. delusion, the Dems are, for some reason, needing to answer for every teen who throws a rock rather than hold the Trump administration accountable for intentionally creating chaos and breaking the law to stoke violence. So in her view, there would be no violence if you did

not have Donald Trump coming in with ICE and arresting illegals that have committed crimes. You try and follow that logic, okay? You try, be my guest. I mean, guys, what do you think? This woman is, like I said, I think giving a lot of people in her party some very, very bad advice. You saw that David Hogue, of course, is not going to be running. Again, at the DNC, there's this sort of left-wing socialist arm. He wanted more AOCs out there.

You know the Jamal Bowman, you know the guy, the fire alarm guy? I think she was taking dance lessons to impress him. Remember when she went on the stage and she was, woo-hoo! And she's, like, dancing all over the place. and he did not get reelected. You know why people are not buying into this. They're not buying this brand of insanity because it is what it is. It is insanity.

And you're right, Billy, I'm looking at your lines. You know, not everybody who throws a rock as a teenager. There's plenty of adults that are out there doing it too. She's just saying that to try and couch it and make it seem a little bit softer. But she's effectively, in my estimation, I don't know how she can be so dumb as to ever suggest that this is okay under. circumstances. But you know what she is? Like she is not a bright woman. She happened to be a little bit attractive at the right time and place and was spouting a different narrative. And so she kind of came onto the scene and resonated, right, in this new media world because she's doing these

Instagram things at a time when, frankly, you know, most people in Congress had never heard of Instagram. So that's a big part of her success. But she's not the most measured. She's not the most intelligent and frankly she's given a lot of people some bad advice. Here she was coming out in defense of her friends in Newark, New Jersey. Well, where's she lately? La Monica. You know, I can't go a day without saying it. La Monica. Megiver. I mean, who's named La Monica? I'm sorry, the Monica, the grand, wonderful Monica. Magiver. Okay, La Monica Magiver. Okay, La Monica Magiver. Basically, is facing 17 years in a federal prison. And AOC said she had her back, remember?

Don't lay a hand on my people, don't you dare. You know what? She hasn't said, boo on LaMonica lately. If anyone's breaking the law in this situation, it's not members of Congress. It's the Department of Homeland Security. It's people like Tom Homan and Secretary Kristy Kno. You lay a finger on them, we are going to have a problem.

Well, I really don't see her defending La Monica. I do see her, however, trying to encourage this very, very, very bad behavior. Hey, Cat Crazy, thank you so much, just because I'm so awesome. Thank you. You know, you're pretty awesome too. Cat Crazy's been one of our regulars here from the beginning. And I so appreciate Cat Crazy's patience because, you know, this show has been a, something that's kind of like morphed into being and it changes a lot and it'll keep changing, you know,

and, you know, you guys are just great. You're a wonderful, wonderful supportive group of viewers and I'm so lucky to have you. So thank you for that cat crazy. Anyway, yeah, look at what she's doing. And I think it's immature, it's irresponsible. And again, where is she when La Monica gets hauled, you know, by the grand jury? I mean, for doing this. Just remember, she's the lady in red. That was the mistake. Don't wear red to a protest when there's videotape and it might come back to accriminate you after the fact. What was that move? You see? I mean like, come on. Like at that point, you exit yourself from the situation. For goodness sakes, lady, you are a member of Congress. All right? So, so, uh, there was aOC. Don't you dare touch them? Well, I haven't heard a word from her.

And you know what? Alina charged her. The grand jury just indicted her. Violating title 18. U.S. Code Section 111 for assaulting, impeding, and interfering with law enforcement. I'm kind of wondering, like, is AOC jealous? Did AOC want to get charged or something? Maybe she doesn't want to elevate La Monica anymore. Because La Monica could actually represent a possible threat to AOC in her future. I mean, La Monica is willing to hit the slumber for this. AOC.

I don't see you willing to go to jail. Anyway, she's trying to encourage everybody else to do bad stuff. unbelievable. Trump calls it like he sees it. This is like my favorite bite of the month. My favorite favorite sound bite. Let's play it. That woman was out of control. She was shoving federal agents. She was out of control. The days of that crap are over in this country. We're going to have law and order. Okay. So let's see if we get it, right? In California, thank you so much. All the way from Sweden. Really great to have you. I get the job. I get the job.

I get the joke, sweet for DJD. I get it. Believe me. So listen, I think that the problem that they're now facing is that they have not had to confront the state versus federal law in so long, right? Like you're going back to the early 60s. And so now it's coming to a head. And you can't just live in this world where everybody has their own sort of sanctuary. And you're not actually cooperating with the feds at all. I mean, think about that judge. Remember the judge out in Wisconsin who's like, okay, come here, come here. Somebody who is being accused of a crime. It's actually domestic violence.

Imagine that. And ICE is there waiting to detain him. And she's like, come here, come here, come here. I'll take you out the back. And she takes him out the back. Well, she's actually been put on leave from her job. There is a judge in Wisconsin because the Supreme Court in Wisconsin decided it was really not appropriate, given that you're under federal indictment.

for you to have that job. So one would expect you saw Anna Polina Luna on this show just yesterday, the congresswoman from Florida, and one of the things that she said was she wanted them to throw the book. Remember, she wants them to throw the whole freaking book at La Monica. She has no sympathy for her as a congressperson at all, and she's very determined to make sure that they do something. something. And I would anticipate that coming. We'll see if it happens in this show, actually,

that they're going to ask for La Monica McIver to step down at the very least from all her committees, similar to what we saw, right, with the judge in Wisconsin, because it's simply not appropriate. When you've been indicted like this, grand jury indictment, of course, don't tell La Monica because she's sort of with AOC, you know, the means justify the end somehow. She doesn't see what she did, and you know what she did, right? You know what she did. She does not see that. She doesn't see it as a problem.

Well, Haba said you had declined every opportunity to come to a resolution. You said they wanted you to admit to something you didn't do. What did they want you to admit to? I mean, there was a lot. We've had a week of back and forth with them, and I will say that I did not waver. You know, I showed up there to do my job, and she wanted me to admit to doing things, all of these different list of things that she said that I did. Like what? I mean, from things of impeding, you know, there was some other things in there that she put in there,

but I can't remember exactly what it was, but she wanted. Maybe just one of those little things like impeding. I mean, when you're physically taking yourself, right, and just sort of bumping into everyone like that, kind of seems like impeding. And by the way, I should point out that the feds actually have better video. So they've got the actual video. And I'm telling you, she's looking at the full boat. She's not going to have a lot of sympathy because again, when this comes down to state versus federal law, I'm getting back to it. You know what? Literally, Trump trumps them. He just does because otherwise, how do you have a country? Seriously, how do you have a country? How can it be the United States of America?

If California has this set of rules and Texas has this set of rules and Connecticut has this, you can't actually function that way, especially when it comes to stuff like immigration, which is governed by the supremacy clause, the commerce clause, the naturalization clause, a whole slew of clauses, all right? And guess what? Congress controls that. So Congress actually has to enforce the law, the land. And no Gavin Newsom, you can't do your own thing, which is why it was decided we needed to make sure that we sent in the National Guard, along with some Marines, to help take control of this situation so that you didn't run into another thing like, oh, I don't know, some of the protests we've seen in the past in these very blue states. I'll let Pete Hegseth explain it.

Where in your limited budget, sir, are you going to find in the remainder of this fiscal year, are you going to pull the money to cover these deployments? What holes are being created? Well, Congresswoman, thank you for the question. You are right. We are both originally from Minnesota, which is why I recall 2020 quite well when Governor Walsh abandoned a police precinct and allowed it to be burned to the ground. And also allowed five days of chaos to occur inside the street. streets of Minneapolis. The police precinct ma'am was abandoned and burned to the ground. And because of that, the National Guard was eventually far too late mobilized. And President Trump

recognizes a situation like that improperly handled by a governor like it was by Governor Waltz. If it gets out of control, it's a bad situation for the citizens of any location. So in Los Angeles, we believe that ICE, which is a federal law enforcement agency, has the right to, safely conduct operations in any state and any jurisdiction in the country, especially after 21 million illegals have crossed our border under the previous administration. ICE ought to be able to do its job, whether it's Minneapolis or Los Angeles. Chairman, I have limited time. I asked a budget question.

And they are being... Could the Secretary please address the budget? Thank you. You asked about the situation in Los Angeles, and we believe ICE agents should be allowed to be safe in doing their operations, and we have deployed National Guard and the Marines. to protect them in the execution of their duties because we ought to be able to enforce immigration law in this country, unlike what Governor Walts did in 2020.

Wow. You know, you don't want a situation like we saw in Minnesota in 2020. Now, do you? And if you do not have a local government that can act swiftly enough because of perhaps some political reasons, then you've got to ask yourself, what is going on? And you need to take the proper steps to ensure the safety of the people

because that is what we do, right? As a nation, that is what we do. You know, I want to turn to another story right now because I get a lot of questions on this one, guys. The money behind the protests. We talked a little bit with Alina, with Anna, Paulina Luna, about this just yesterday. There's a lot of money, okay? There's a lot of money.

that makes all this happen. Think about this, right? The party for socialism and liberation. Do you know that this is actually the Communist Party? I kid you not. I kid you not. Okay, here we go. This is from Wikipedia. This thing is the Communist Party. Communism, Marxism, Leninism. It is far left, all right? This is the party that's having a hand in organizing these protests. And there's a guy who is an American named Neville Singhman, who was pointed out by the New York Times back in 2023 of being basically the chief propagandist all over the world for China.

This is the New York Times reporter saying this. I mean, three New York Times reporter. They did a giant deep dive on him, and he's married to the lady who started Code Pink, and Code Pink used to be anti-China because of the way the Uyghurs are treated in China, and then all of a sudden, you know, she meets Neville. The looker that he is, they fall in love.

And what do you know? Millions of dollars start going to Code Pink. And suddenly, miraculously, she changes her tune on the Uyghurs and on China. China's great now. China's awesome now, right? Because they get a mission to do. This is what he does. And he spends like part of the year in Shanghai, according to the New York Times.

And according to the Daily Beast, by the way. Like liberal media is all over this, okay? They know that this guy is out there. And it's like, wow, like, is anybody stopping to think twice about who would like to see us at odds with each other? I mean, think about those Hong Kong protests. Remember that? They blamed us for that.

They totally blamed us for that. They probably blame us for Tiananmen Square as well, okay? So they're saying, well, how can we get at them? Well, we get a ripe liberal population there in California. They know all about California. I mean, hey, Swalwell, Fang Fang. He's a representative from California. Diane Feinstein.

Remember her driver was a Chinese spy? She's out of California. They've been infiltrating this for years. So if they're going to think through, okay, where is our opportune spot? It might just be in California. And so they've encouraged these protests. And what I would say is, hang on, hang on. Okay, so this guy's getting tax breaks to put money into this communist movement

that's doing all kinds of bad, bad stuff in terms of dividing our country. Now, while on the one hand, we're all for the First Amendment, you're welcome to support whatever cause you want. On the other, if you're actually working for the Chinese government, well, then I think we've got to take a little pause, right? Hey, thank you so much from Australia. I got a lot of friends in Australia. I know, Soros as well, Adriano.

It's amazing. Like, the money behind this is actually really scary, and we're going to get to the Waltons too. because the heiress for Walmart, and I suspect maybe she's got some business interests, right? They got to keep trade flowing with China. They don't really like the tariffs because that means profitability is going to be lower at Walmart. Anyway, I would just say this is in particular striking to me because this is somebody who feels very passionately, apparently, about his communist ties.

He's got a wife who must not be that passionate because she's willing to change her tune, right? Code Pink is anti-China and then suddenly sings a different tune when they get a few bucks in the door. This is something that came up with Annapalina Luna yesterday. She told me she is issuing a subpoena for Neville Singman to appear before the U.S. Congress and testify on this. Now, the challenge she's going to have, to be perfectly honest, is he's hiding out in China. So maybe the issue, and she got into this, is if he doesn't actually show up, They're going to hold him in contempt so you can go to jail for that. Hey, Peter Navarro knows that.

Steve Bannon knows that. So if you're not actually going to show up for that subpoena, the next time he tries to enter the country, he's going to get thrown in the slammer. Here's Anna talking about this, the Congresswoman on the House Oversight Committee out of Florida. We now find the money trailed. Mr. Shingham has actually been funding this. But it's a lot darker than that. So Mr. Singham's also married to a woman who actually funds something called Code Pink that's been responsible for a lot of the doxing and then also stalking of members up here in Washington, D.C., but look at the messaging that Code Pink is pushing, also tied to the CCP. And ultimately, what's interesting about this and going into the investigations that we're launching

because I did speak to Chairman Comer on House Oversight. And oversight's going to be sending a request to Mr. Shingham to produce documents and then also to testify to Congress. If he does not show up, he will be held in contempt of Congress. I can promise you that. And he will be processed. under the Department of Justice. But the fact is, is that Mr. Shingham, he also happens to live in Shanghai part of the year. And he is also not a registered foreign agent yet receives money from China.

So that would be, A, making him guilty of a FARA violation, and then also to an agent of China. And so these are all things that Congress should have done a while ago, not just with Mr. Sengen, but other organizations tied to foreign influence, especially being that some of them, like Code Pink, operate here actually within the capital. Wow. So I just want to add to that that Sandra Josh Hawley has just come out as well and said that the Senate will be investigating this in addition to the investigation that Annapalina Luna is taking on at House Oversight Committee. So that's the good news. The bad news is this stuff was going on and on and on, you know, for years and you guys are pointing out it's not just this guy. But what's of special interest to me, and, you know, Soros is kind of his own animal and we can debate his reasons for doing things. But in this, you guys,

particular case, it's the ties to China that really concern me. Okay, if you have the CCP actually backing this and giving him money, and that's what these allegations are, you know, he's got a business that he earns money off of sowing this discord and pushing this propaganda, according to the New York Times and to the Daily Beast. And so if that's the case, then we do have a bit of a situation, as you could say, on our hands. I just want to blow this up so we can look at it a little bit better together. This is the New York Times. article, they're saying, you know, he's a charismatic American millionaire, Neville Roy Singhman. He's known as a socialist benefactor of far-left causes. But what's less known is a hidden

group of nonprofits that he's got or shell companies and that he works closely with the Chinese government medium machine and is financing. It's propaganda worldwide. I mean, that's what really blows me away. Like, how can that be happening? You know, you've got We told you about Code Pink and they suddenly, you know, change their tune because they're suddenly getting financed by her husband. And if he's the key agitator in all this and it's coming from China, then whoa, right? Like, come on, Gavin. Like, work with the president.

Let the president help you to police your streets because this is actually not Trump that you need to be angry at right now, but you need to be angry. at the Chinese influence that's trying to infiltrate your state of California and tear everyone apart. That's the truth of it. But, you know, they're just so political. They're looking at this as a political opportunity. Gavin Newsom thinks he's going to run in 2028 against, I don't know, he's already like taking aim at Vance. He'll take aim at anyone because we don't know who the 28 nominee is going to be. But I'm just telling him, let me be really, really clear. He's seeing it for political purposes and the Chinese are too.

So we need to be five steps ahead of them. we need to be smarter. I'll tell you, who's no dummy? The heiress to Walmart. I mean, this woman owns 1.9% of the company. So she's all about this no king's thing. You see, because she doesn't like the tariffs. And as long as Trump is in office, it's going to be kind of a problem for the Walmart company,

right? Because they've imports so many goods from China. So this whole no king thing is happening and it's going on on the 14th. Well, she decided, this is her. What is her name? Christy. Okay, so she's not actually direct family members. She is the wife or the widow of John Walton who was the son of the Walmart, founder, of course, Sam Walton.

And so she's the one who went out. She has an estimated net worth of $19 billion. She owns a nearly 2% stake in the company. So she decided to get involved in all of this. with this no king's movement. And I'll tell you right now, the company's like, whoa, what did she do? Because this is not good for Walmart. They're freaking out because they know what happened to Target.

You know what happened to Target. They know what happened to Bud Light. You know what happened to Bud Light. So now when you have the Walton family with a large, you know, ownership in Walmart stock coming out saying, we need this no king's day thing, it is going to be a problem. So she took out the full page ad in New York Times promoting this nationwide protest. The ad, which is run by the no king's movement, calls on Americans to mobilize on Saturday, flag day and Trump's birthday in order to,

quote, reject authoritarianism. And, you know, like he said, shall we go back to, you know what he said about, well, gee, you know, if I were a king, I probably wouldn't be having this much headache. Now, would I, right? You know, hey. There are several no kings protests planned across the country on Saturday as well. What are your thoughts on those? What are they going? No kings? No kings.

I don't feel like a king. I have to go through hell to get stuff approved. A king would say, I'm not going to get this. A king would have never had the California mandate to even be talking to him. He wouldn't have to call up Mike Johnson and Thune and say, fellas, you got to pull this off. And after years, we get it done. No, no, we're not a king. We're not a king at all.

Thank you very much. Yeah, that's why court's in session right now because he's not a king. But they're going forward with this anyway. And so back to Walmart, she's, you see, Christy decided that she's going to take a stand. And the question is, is it really for her company because she doesn't want him there? Probably, right? There's a 2% shareholder. Maybe she just doesn't like him anyway. And so this is kind of all working together. But the danger for Walmart shareholders is that you're going to see a big movement backwards. In other words, a lot of people that are very, very much MAGA, define as MAGA, and like this president, they shop at Walmart, but they don't have to shop at Walmart. They can shop elsewhere.

You know what? They can shop on Amazon, for goodness sakes. I don't see Jeff Bezos doing these kinds of things. Actually, Jeff Bezos is really kind of tried to pull it in, rain it in, right? Here's the ad. And, you know, it's caught a lot of attention in MAGA circles. Carrie Lake putting this out, just asking the question, do you shop at Walmart? and I can guarantee you what the answer is from people, they're like, not anymore. I used to shop at Walmart, but not anymore because I don't like what Walmart's doing. Because Walmart's heir, Christy, who is the widow of the man who founded its son, she took out this ad. So I think that there's a real shot already you're seeing all these things online.

And we've been through this before. I mean, Disney has faced this, right? And Bud Light has faced this. And, you know, people put their money where their mouth is. And if they don't like a company because they don't think that their company is, you know, reflecting their values, then they're going to walk. And what do you know? Shares of Walmart, ladies and gentlemen, trading down 1.10%.

WMT is the ticker at $94. and 78 cents a share right now. It had traded down even lower in the session today. So not a very good projection there for Walmart. And I think the fear is, you know what, half the country. Half the country voted for Donald Trump, more than half the country. He won the electoral college. He won the popular vote. And so, you know what? You're going to go out there and you're going to slam them and you're going to slam people that like him. And those people aren't going to want to have a whole lot to do with you. and they're going to make a decision not to shop at your store. So maybe Christy gets this.

I doubt she does. I think it's just shareholders and company executives that are probably in a state of panic right about now. You know, this king thing, this king thing. They just, you know, he's trolled them on it, right? Didn't Leticia James go on and on him? He's no king. This all started.

And then so he tweeted something out where he had like a king hat on it. And they just went crazy. Kathy Hochle, oh my gosh, went crazy. And so then this became kind of a movement. Caroline Levitt, who is doing a phenomenal job as the press secretary, just calling everyone out left and right, was asked about whether or not there would be protests on Saturday allowed in D.C. And you know what?

She's like, hello, we have a First Amendment. We allow for peaceful protests. What we don't allow for us. some of the stuff you've been seeing in California, right? We don't allow for that because then that's tearing in a really dark corner. But of course, you can have peaceful protests for goodness sakes.

What a stupid question. That's what I'm thinking. And she said it. Thanks so much, Caroline. The president warned that any protests on Saturday would be met with force. Can you clarify what kind of protest President Trump does support or find acceptable?

The president absolutely supports peaceful protests. He supports the First Amendment. He supports the right of Americans to make their voices heard. He does not support violence of any kind. He does not support assaulting law enforcement officers who are simply trying to do their job. It's very clear for the president what he supports and what he does not. Unfortunately, for Democrats, that line has not been made clear, and they've allowed this unrest in this violence to continue, and the president has had to step in.

So if there were peaceful protests on Saturday for the military parade, President Trump would allow that. Of course the president supports peaceful protests. What a stupid question. Rickel. Thank you so much, Caroline. Of course, he supports peaceful protest. What a stupid question. That's a dumb question.

She said stupid question. What a stupid question. So that's kind of gone viral. But you know what? She ought to be able to say exactly what she thinks up there. She's had all kinds of run-ins. Finally they just got rid of AP. AP thought it had some kind of, you mean, talking about being a king, right?

It's like your royalty if you're AP. AP thought it had the status and the stature and, oh, I don't know, maybe the royal jeans to be able to sit up there in the front row in the White House press briefing room at all times and travel on Air Force One and this, that, and the other. Jump and Caroline kicked him out. Guess what? Oh, and that was because of the Gulf of America thing.

Remember, they refused to call a Gulf of America and instead kept going with Gulf of Mexico and it became kind of the standoff. And they're like, you know what? We don't need you here. Bye-bye. And poor AP's like, no, no, you can't do that to us. You see, because we are associated press. It's like, they're the King of England, for goodness sakes. And so the administration came back and said, no, we can absolutely, you know, you're here at the pleasure

of the president. And we don't really want you here. This has nothing to do with freedom of the press because guess what? We broadcast these things out to everyone, every single day. You can just go on the White House Twitter feed. You're going to get it. And we'll take all your questions. You can email us a question. Hey, you can even put one of your questions on next. We'll probably answer it. The president will talk to anyone, so guess what? You're not entitled to sit up there in the front row anymore, AP. You're not entitled to come on our Air Force One in the press pool. We're kicking you out. And the whole thing went up through the courts and guess what? The court decided that the president did not have to have AP there. So take that AP, no kings.

there is no king AP or Prince AP or Princess AP, none whatsoever. We've got some more good media stories to get to. Terry, Terry, Terry's out doing his whole new thing. You know, I think he kind of wanted to go out with a bang. Apparently his contract was up anyway. We'll get to that. Ooh, Disney's in more trouble. Major, major blow to MSNBC, ladies and gentlemen, the head of the FBI is suing MSNBC. Uh-huh. Cash Patel. He's not messing around. Do you remember a few weeks ago? They had this guy that came on. He was like an MSNBC analyst. I was like, this is a bizarre thing to say.

Like, this is really, really mean. It was just sort of like going to, you know, for the jugular in a way that was weird. It was like gossipy. They started talking about how Cash Patel is always in nightclubs. He's never in the Hoover building. He's always out in a nightclub. And I'm like, what? Like, you know, I run in these circles. I've never heard that about cash. Like, that was kind of just a weird thing to say. And I was like, wow, what do you have like? Lots of sourcing on that. Have you seen them out at nightclubs? It was just one of those random things that somebody said. And not even with

like a sense of humor. They said it as though it was really serious. And then they put up an article on it. And so that started getting around everywhere. I don't think we covered this. I actually didn't, because I, how do I know? I just know. I just know. I just know when things are wrong, right? Like, you just have a feeling like that is just not right. So we didn't do anything on it.

But MSNBC is a little bit of trouble right now because the head of the FBI is now suing the network for liable. He's saying, you can't say that about me. You had no proof about that. That's totally an untrue story. You're just making stuff up and you're putting it in print and you get a column as it goes on television and starts talking about it. So then they had to issue this little apology.

And now let's circle back to a segment from Friday show. Frank Fuglusey was on that morning during this hour discussing the work of administration officials. At the end of that segment, Faglusi said that FBI director Cash Patel has reportedly been more visible at nightclubs than at his office at FBI headquarters. This was a misstatement. We have not verified that claim. We will be right back. He didn't verify the claim. He said it. Apparently he didn't verify it. Those will be interesting discovery, right? In this process, now, I'm going to say, oh, my God, like our ratings are bad enough and now we get a deal with this they're going to have to defend himself

from one cash patel who is going after frank i think he's suing frank as well he's suing the network frank better hope he's got some kind of protection clause in the network because that was an outlandish claim that was made about the nightclub they're saying so he's suing frank for fabricating a specific lie about him according to court documents namely that reportedly patel has been visible at nightclubs far more than he has been in the seventh floor of the Hoover Building. And what they're saying is, look, he knew it was a lie when he said it. And yet, since becoming director of the FBI, Director Patel, he went on to say, has not spent a single night.

Okay, so they're saying he has not spent a single night in a nightclub. So he has not been in a nightclub, ladies and gentlemen. And yet this reporter decided to go forward with that story anyway. And so now MSNBC is looking at yet another lawsuit. By the way, they're facing an investigation by the FCC because of their DEI stuff. Now they're getting sued by the head of the FBI for liable defamation. Are they still being sued? Are they still in something with Donald Trump?

I mean, I know CBS is. I know that ABC decided to settle. This is like a nightmare for MSNBC. It really, really is. And it comes at a time when, you know, they really can't afford it because they're trying to figure out their way forward in this very challenging and different kind of media. landscape, a media landscape in which they are clearly suffering, clearly suffering. I mean, you look at the ratings there, you look at the ratings there, and it's just abysmal. Here's poor Jen, Saki.

I mean, her numbers are like cut in half from what Rachel was doing, and Rachel was not doing that well, right? So that tells you quite a bit. She's been on this new show. She takes over for Tuesday through Friday. So Rachel comes in for a guest appearance to which she's apparently being paid $25 million a year, a pay cut of a $5 million. She's like, good work if you can get it, right?

Wow. So she's not getting any kind of ratings to justify that. So I would not be surprised if they're looking long and hard at the Rachel Maddow deal and saying, really, can we keep this up, especially once they go public, don't forget, they're spinning off in the Spinko thing to become Versaunt, some fancy French name. They think that'll give them some air of dignity, I guess, when they go public. and there's a tax incentive for Comcast to do this.

But once they go public, you know what? They really have to stand on their own because you're not going to have Mommy and Daddy Comcast, the parent company, standing there to prop you up when you're doing as bad as you're doing. And the ratings suck as badly as they suck, right? So she is down significantly. The numbers are, okay, Saki ranked in just 971 million viewers over the course of the month,

down from Maddo's $1.8,9 million that she earned throughout 2025. It was a 47% drop. So that is a big, big deal. Lots of love from Australia today. Thank you so much, Adriano. You know, it's really remarkable, right, to see how quickly, how quickly they have disintegrated there at one MSNBC. And it's in part because they just don't have any good talent, right? I mean, this is, this is the tradeout.

So they had a woman who looks like Chris, Hayes, but technically she came first. Chris was her protege. She picks guys that look just like her. Guys or girls, I guess. I mean, sometimes you can't really even tell. But she picked out Chris, and Chris is doing okay, like he survived that round of layoffs. Joy Reid did not. A few others did not. Rachel was really upset about it. And they put in Jenzaki, aka Pepperman Patty, who used to be the Biden spokesperson, who very few people actually trust. And you know why they don't trust her? Because she sat up there with a straight face and told us all day long that, you know, this is the greatest Joe Biden never, too. I mean, that was a signature line. Was it not from Joe

Scarborough over on the morning show there? But Jen Saki also was quite good at trying to defend and stand up for Joe Biden and Eddie Turner. So I think that she's lost a lot of stature, a lot of respect. She's probably kind of frightened because there's an investigation going in into the auto pen scandal. So we'll see what comes out of that. But she's an excellent, liar, which is what you have to be. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, I'd be the worst press person ever. People have said that before would you do it. I have had offers to do it.

And I'm like, no. Like, my problem is I really can't tell a lie. Like, and so you may have a spin, but I have my own thoughts. And it's just very, very hard for me. That's just the, so like I'm much, much better doing what I do because I can call it all, right? Like, as I see fit. but Jen Saki is very good at spinning.

And when she took over this job, Rachel Mado did an interview, I believe it was with Us Weekly, where she was touting her and she's going on and on. Oh, Saki's going to be so great, but it was total shade because she's going to be so great because, you know, Jen is so connected. And she's going to be able to have all these guests on and really, you know, get inside the Beltway in D.C. Well, don't you understand? That's what people don't want. They don't want inside the Beltway.

And then she said it was like complimenting herself, on the back, you know, nice little pat on the back for Rachel's saying, you know, I just, I'm just with my team. I get along great with my team, but I'm not really out and about in that circle. And so that was a veiled way of saying, you know what? I'm the real deal. I'm the authentic one. She's the cheap, whatever, who's going to sell whatever, okay? That was what that was. And let's face it, she doesn't have the glasses. or the haircut. So she's struggling, and it makes me wonder, kind of makes me wonder, what their next move is, because they could swap her out, you know, maybe for somebody even cheaper, maybe for somebody that Rachel might like, maybe for somebody who even looks, dare I say,

who just looks a little bit like one Rachel Mato, because, you know, it was going so well with Rachel and then seem to be going okay enough, right, with the other Rachel, Chris Hayes. So why not bring in a third Rachel? And guess what, guys, I found one. Well, actually, they found one. They found one themselves.

And this particular person, who I had not seen in the past, is actually on MSNBC already. So I'm thinking, you know what? You got your new replacement. and hopefully it doesn't cost you 25 mil. Los Angeles is a so-called majority minority city and a majority minority state. There are more people of color that live in Los Angeles than white people at this point.

And many of those people are undocumented. By some counts, 10% of the population of L.A. County, one of the largest counties, the largest county by population in the United States, is undocumented. Maybe as many as a million people. Those people are our neighbors, our coworkers, Our classmates, our friends, our parishioners, fellow parishioners and churches,

they are part of the fabric of the city of Los Angeles. There you go. Okay? Mission accomplished. You can get another Rachel Matto to take over. Tuesday through Friday, you're all set. You know, she was on Monday, and it was pretty wild. She was going on.

She's excellent at these conspiracy theories. I've got to tell you, like, I've never seen anybody quite as good as her at floating these conspiracy theories. I remember it so well during the Russia, Russia, Russia thing. And I'm like, you got to be kidding me. Like, how does nobody call this out? She's on Monday. And she's like, trying to say that these immigration riots and protests are all about taking Trump down and that he's scared and that this is the end of it. And I would just say that's really wrong. Again, if you look at the new poll data that just came out, I mean, even CNN is kind of shocked by this one, guys, because the new poll data shows overwhelmingly that, you know what, people do not want people

that are here in this country illegally, especially if they have been convicted of a crime. This should not be like crazy to understand, right? So a new poll came out, and there's basically this 40-point swing showing that legal immigrants, people who have just come to this country have actually swung by 40 points to the right, and they are very much in favor of Trump's immigration policy. So that doesn't fly for Rachel to be there saying all that Rachel is saying. And I would just get back to, they're going to have to fix this situation at some point, because you can't go off and spin off MSNBC and have such dismal ratings.

You can't just be such a headache where you're getting sued at every turn and investigated it every turn. It's not going to fly. I mean, you know what? You know who knows this? You know who knows this. Disney. That's why they fired that Terry Moran. They just said they just didn't need the guy anymore because he was too much headache. They're trying to get a Hulu deal done. They just bought the rest of Hulu. They're all excited about that. They're trying to make this move into streaming. Good luck. Really? We wish you well. I mean, the more streamers, the better, right? And you do need to get away and diversify away from

your mainstream media content, including ABC. But this guy, Terry Moran, he's going, on to bigger and better things, he says after this ordeal. Hey, they're giving you the big break of a lifetime. You know, you're doing the interview. I picked you because frankly, I never heard of you, but that's okay. I picked you, Terry, but you're not being very nice. He had MS-13 tattoos. We'll agree to disagree.

Everybody has an opinion. How can you not have an opinion? You should have an opinion. If you're so dumb to not have an opinion, then you don't belong reporting on any of this in the first place. But you know what?

If you have an opinion, you still owe it to the country to show both sides. You know, some people say to me, Trish, God, do we have to watch again, The View or Amazon, B, C, or CNN? You really have to show us these clips. And I come back and I say, you know what? We have to see them. because we have to dissect them together, because we have to understand what the other side is coming from. You know what? It makes your argument more powerful when you understand what they're about. But this guy, he was certainly about something. We saw it in that interview. Did we not with Donald Trump?

We saw it all come out. It all hung out until he decided to go on Twitter and it really, really hung out. But it was all sort of there. It's just that he was pretending I am a journalist with a capital J. Watch. Do you think the reputation of the United States has gone down under your presence? No, I think it's gone way up, and I think we're a respected country again. We were left at all over the world.

We had a president that couldn't walk up a flight of stairs, couldn't walk down a flight of stairs, couldn't walk across the stage without falling. We had a president that was grossly incompetent. You knew it, I knew it, and everybody knew it, but you guys didn't want to write it because you're fake news. All right. Thank you. And by the way, ABC is one of the worst. That's okay. Thank you.

And he's bad at his job, okay? Bad at his job. Because when someone comes to you and says, because you're fake news, and he goes, all right. I mean, it's like he's a deer in headlights, right? Like, what do you? The answer is, well, Mr. President, you know, I mean, you can come back at him, right? It's a free country.

Instead, he's like, all right. And so then Trump, sensing the opportunity as only he would, just moves him for the kill and the whole thing unwound. And so maybe he was jilted, maybe he was upset. Maybe that's what caused him to write these terrible things on Twitter about poor Stephen Miller who didn't deserve any of it. You know what? It is so not fair for Stephen Miller.

It's not fair. I know him, I know his wife, by the way, as well, who's just a sweetheart, like an absolute sweetheart. Like, if Stephen comes across is kind of tough, she's the opposite of that. She is just like all sunshine and smiles. And Stephen, you know, like it's a lot. hard for him to smile and he doesn't have any hair anymore and you know he's very dedicated to what he's doing and he doesn't he doesn't you know walk the walk and talk the talk in terms of you know playing around

he's he doesn't want to be charming he wants to get the job done and he gets frustrated with dumb people sometimes i think anyway so this guy goes on about this is terry you know moran saying all kinds of terrible, terrible things about Stephen Miller, and it's really just kind of too bad. So he just shot down his whole career of 28 years. I kind of wonder if he wanted to do it. Like, did he want to? Was that the plan all along? Maybe he knew that ABC was not going to renew his gig because ABC is really stretched financially. I mean, wow, of course they're getting rid of the white guy again, right? Yeah, in the middle of the DEI investigation. But they had to do in this case, right, under these circumstances. I just kind of wonder why everybody else, like Georgie Poo, why

Is Georgie Poo's still there? Georgie, you know, the one on the weekend that cost his network $16 million? You could have gotten rid of him, thank you very much. But nope, they got rid of Terry. Anyway, J.D. Vance writing, an ABC journalist posted this absolutely vile smear on Stephen Miller. It's stripping with hate. Remember the time you watch this?

You don't remember that when you watch ABC's coverage of the Trump administration. Because it's like, tell us what you really think. Okay, now the curtain's been peeled. back, now we know who these journalists are. And that's kind of a problem because nobody trust them at all, at all. Nobody trust them. And so they told Fox News, well, we had to get rid of them because, you know, we are a journalist organization and we can't have people saying things like that on X. And the White House has come out and said, this is disgusting. You know, they're cementing themselves as fake news. We've seen everything on the view. We know that Iger's trying to work with them on the

view saying, hey, hey, hey, you know, caught me some slack. Can you guys maybe cover some entertainment stories or anything other than what you keep covering? And their answer is no. Their answer is no. And I got to say, they're increasingly putting themselves in jeopardy of actually being out of a show all together because as Disney tries to morph into something different, maybe they take the view and they put it on Hulu because who needs it on network television? I mean, frankly, who needs network television? We all know that. Did you cut the cord yet? I did. Okay, this is giving you a little too much insight into how many cable boxes I have. I saved like six or seven hundred bucks a month. Okay, after I cut the cord, I'm like, this is amazing. Why didn't we do this years ago?

well, you know, things are changing. And nobody watches cable television anymore. My parents are visiting right now, and they're all confused, right? Because there is no cable television. And they're very confused because of the commercials that they get during the YouTube stream. And it's like, you know, elephants or something in this like nice white noise. And they're like, but where are the commercials? And I'm like, yeah, this is, you know, welcome to.

And that's a special streaming product. But it's a whole new ballgame. And so Iger, who sometimes. I question really whether or not he should be the CEO of this company is trying to figure out how he fits in in this brave new world and what it means for all of his properties. What's interesting for me is that people's faith in the country is waning. That's the thing that's pissing me off because in fact there's a reason Joe Biden ran the way he did. There's a reason he's running for democracy now because that's really what's at stake.

You worried that you can't pay your bill? Wait, the other guy becomes president, and you won't have to worry about it because you'll be in some camp somewhere because that's his promise. His promise to us is he's going to force people to do his bidding. That's what he said. I'm going to be good on day one, and I'm going to turn into this other person. So here's the deal. This is all up to you.

This is all up to you. We can sit up here till we're green in the face. But this really comes down to the people. So whatever you do, don't vote for Donald Trump. And the American public said, yeah, you know what? I'm going to vote for Donald Trump. And so now he's the president. And so now they're trying to fit this narrative, right, that they had advanced before things.

I know the fact that he's trying to actually have some law and order make sure that things don't spiral out of control in the state of California. Oh, now he's the bad guy. He's the bad guy for doing that. Come on. So they'll go with this, even though their boss is telling them not to and their boss is telling them not to because, again, they've got a mess on their hands at ABC News. And the mess is about to get so much worse because of some sounds that I just found. But before I show you that,

you need to understand the backdrop. Some of you, if your regular viewer of this show, you already know this. Brandon Carr is like on the warpath when it comes to ABC. He already sent Bob a letter before he even came into the office. So like before, it was like right after the election. He sends Bob Iger a nasty letter saying, you know, nobody trusts you guys. And now he's sent another letter. He's got a full on investigation going because they're looking at actually revoking all of the affiliations that they have with their 200 and some on channels around the country. It's a misnomer to actually think that all those ABC affiliates in your hometown or actually ABC, they're not. Why do you think people say they trust their local news the most? They do. It's the network

feed that you're getting from ABC News. ABC, the network only owns about seven O&Os. That's what they call them, owned and operated stations. They own one in New York. They own one in San Francisco. And this is, so there's only seven of them. Everything else is independently owned. And they, it's like being a franchise owner, right? It's like owning a McDonald's and you have to pay all this money to ABC to get their programming. And then you have to run it. You don't have the option. That was always a big deal. So they put these contracts into place. So everybody has to take the view. Not everybody has to take Tamron Hall who's on after. But everybody has to take the view. And everybody has to take world news tonight with David Muir. And everybody has to take the prime time programming and do, do, do,

and you're like at some point, like, why am I paying for this garbage when I know I could put a talk show on for a fraction of the cost myself on my ABC affiliate and it would be a whole lot better? And so Brennan Carr's like, it's not fair to the affiliates. We're going to revoke this. We're the FCC. There's a certain amount of standard that you have to follow. And whether it's, you know, spin and fake news all the time or whether it is being in direct violation of the Constitution because of your DEI insanity, we're going to get you.

Here he is on Fox. Your probe into Disney's DEI policies, their senior counsel writes, this is all about bullying and intimidation. Mr. Carr's most powerful tool is his vote on the commission to approve mergers and acquisitions. Is this about Disney's hiring practices or is it about something else? Yeah, this is about the hiring practices and their employment practices. Look, broadcasters and Disney owns one, ABC, they have an obligation under federal law. We have EEO rules at the FCC, which means you can't make hiring decisions based on protected characteristics, including gender and race.

And the evidence we have so far indicates potentially that Disney and ABC were making employment decisions based on race and gender, including having effectively race-defined affinity groups within the company, we have evidence that they put quotas in place based on specific demographics. If the evidence does, in fact, play out and shows that they were engaged in race and gender-based discrimination, that's a very serious issue at the FCC that could fundamentally go to their character qualifications to even hold a license, but we're going to follow the facts wherever they go. Look, President Trump's been clear we are turning the page on DEI. The first week I was chairman of the FCC, I said we are ending our own promotion of DEI at the FCC.

People will be shocked if they learned the millions of dollars that the FCC alone was spending to promote DEI. We had it listed as our second highest strategic priority. I mean, think about everything the FCC can and should be doing, national security issues, bridging the digital divide, space economy. And we had promoting DEI as our number two strategic priority. Now we're going to focus on our core mission. Yeah, our core mission. Did you hear that? Bob Iger. Okay, so Bob Iger's kind of facing some tough times because Brandon is suing him.

Well, you know, one of the things that Brandon is looking at, I want to point this out before I go to what Bob Iger was saying, is whether or not they had any special affinity spaces and whether they had any discriminatory practices going on. And it doesn't matter that they ended them when Donald Trump became the president. If they were going on beforehand, then the FCC's going all in. All right? So here is the challenge. This is a soundbite posted on X.

Bob Bigger's nemesis. Yeah, he really hates Elon. Remember when he tried to pull all the money away from X? And Elon's like, go F yourself, Bob. Great, great moment on television. The poor reporter, Andrew Ross Sorkin from the New York Times and ZNBC was like, what? And then Elon double.

town. He's like, yeah, you heard me. Go F. You know, if you think you're going to intimidate with me with money, good luck. Anyway, here's Bob Eiger. This is from a couple years ago talking about the importance of all this diversity. So I think that this could come back to haunt him. Well, I mean, Bob and Bob has talked about this eloquently since he's become CEO. I'll say a couple of things about it. You know, we've tended to shy away from politics. And, you know, and, you know, And in doing so, I think we've shied away from talking about issues that aren't political at all, like the issues that we're talking about today. Because we believe in doing so, maybe it looks like it looks like we're taking a stand. Well, in that reality, we should be taking a stand.

By the way, I take responsibility for this. I was CEO for 15 years. And so, you know, I manage the company. I'm just going to add for some context here, and I know it's a little bit hard to hear because he's on some kind of Zoom call. he was the CEO for a while. He stepped down and let Bob Chapik come in, and it was just complete bedlam, because you see the woke stuff had already started. Bob had already put it in place, the first Bob.

And so then they put Chapic in, and Bob was apparently like, you know, hanging out in the hallways, like inviting people to his office for meetings and still sort of kind of running things behind the scenes and allegedly, per multiple reports, undermining poor Bob Chepik, who just didn't know what hit him. And so like it was game over before it started. But this is, I guess, when he was not CEO, and so some of this DEI stuff was going on, let's listen. These public facing processes and, you know, how we were portraying ourselves.

And I think that we have to be less cautious, as Bob, I think was just alluding to about such things and not be concerned. Like just commenting about what happened in Washington last week, that's not political on our part at all. We know that what we saw was fundamentally wrong and that it was rooted in hatred and disrespect and contempt and intolerance. And we should feel free as a company to comment about that without retribution. Another thing I want to say that I've learned these last nine to 12 months is, you know, I'm very proud of a lot of the work we've done in terms of diversity inclusion on screen. When we did Coco, for instance, at Pixar, a great example of that, or Tiana, or, of course, Black Panther is one of the great examples of that. I allowed those things to make me feel a bit complacent in a sense. It's not that I wanted to be that way, but I thought, wow, we did Black Panther.

How great are we? And it caused me to not focus as much as I should have on the culture of the company in the environment. And in the voices that were telling those stories, as opposed to just how they were being portrayed on the screen. So, again, what do you think? Brandon might want to take a look at that one, because if he's concerned about previous DEI programs, if he's concerned that they were actually just putting programming into place

just to placate something because they had a political agenda they wanted to serve, then, yeah, that could come back to haunt them. And we know that they were doing this, in part because of what has come out in Gina Carano's lawsuit, and in part because, did I show you what I saw? This is a couple of years ago. I'm like, you've got to be kidding me.

Some of you guys have seen this. My son wanted to go as dash, you know, for Halloween. So I went online to Disney. And I looked for a boy's costume. Do you see what's on the screen right there? Princess Costums. Those are the first four that came up. I was searching for boys' costumes.

See? I took a picture of it. I made lots of circles. Boys costumes. I underline boys' costumes. And so why am I getting one, two, three, four, five girls' costumes? And then I get a boys? Are you kidding me?

Like, they had an agenda, and it has not served them well financially at all. Now has it. I mean, you have only to look, only to look at what was going up. on there with Snow White, the disaster that Snow White became, it causes me to question whether or not Bob Iger is the guy for the job, right? Like, should he really be in this position? Here's a new article that just came out this week. He's all excited because he's completing the deal with Ulu. And he's also making it clear, and he told CNBC this after telling them two years ago that he was going to exit all those legacy media businesses, that he wants to keep those businesses. He

He wants to keep the businesses because he still thinks there's an opportunity in there. You know, I get news for him. There's not. There we go. Here's the quote. Let's go. I'm going to make it all big so we can look at it together here, guys. All right.

Bob Iger saying, having a broadcast network like ABC is part of that. In other words, having this big distribution. I think that there's a lot more value in a broadcast network. Again, if it's paired very, very seamlessly with a. streaming business. Okay, so he wants to use the content creation and then get it onto the streaming side. But the problem is the way the cable agreements work, that's kind of hard to do. The way the FCC agreements work, that's kind of hard to do. And it's not as lucrative. ESPN, he said, is an obvious example of that. Okay, yeah, ESPN. But ESPN is a completely different story. You know why?

ESPN has something that people want. News, I hate to say it. You know what? It is what it is. I've been in this business my whole life. It is a commodity. and everybody has the news. And so why do you go and watch the news one place versus another? Probably because you like or trust the anchor, the host. Probably because, like in this day and age, you actually want some transparency. So therefore, you know, the David Mirren, you know, he's a very nice guy.

We were once friends, you know, until Trump. It's funny. I'll lose a lot of friends after Trump. But David is a good example of sort of. very tightly wound. Here's my script. Let me read my lines. Let me make sure my hair is absolutely perfect. And that, you know, we have all the graphics and we have all the whizbane. But that whizbang, but that kind of product, I think, is no longer relevant in today's society because there's just too much competition incoming, you know, from the likes of me and other podcasters.

So, you know, they're thinking that maybe this will work on Hulu. No, it's not, you're going to have to completely change. You're going to have to get all new talent. You're going to actually have to be like normal. All right. There's no prompters. There's no prompters with what I do. I mean, I kind of have an outline, right? You guys know where I'm going. I think I put it in the show notes, the things that we're going to be talking about today. But there is, you know, no tightly wound even clock. Have you ever noticed? Yeah, you know, because I say I'm going to be here at 1 and then I'm here at like 107 or sometimes even worse, right? But, hey, it's live, baby, it's live. What I would say, though, is there's no clock in that, okay, I have an A block that lasts

nine minutes and 10 seconds, and I have a B block that's three minutes and two seconds. And like, that's how it works, even in cable, because you have to meet all these hard breaks for commercials. Here, I just go. So it's just completely different and exciting. And I see so many of you guys saying, oh, Trisha is so great over here. You know what? Because you never really got to see the full-on-mey and the other mechanisms, only because, well, I had to send my scripts to get edited. I had it every day, like, and it would

drive me crazy because sometimes they'd come through with ridiculous edits two minutes before air, and I'm like, what am I supposed to? Like, I'm going to fix it now, right? And then it ties you in knots because they're like, what are you supposed to say? Like, if you want to go off prompter, and then they're like, no, no, don't go off prompter. You know what? It's better over here. always being off-prompter, shall we say. Anyway, I would just say, I am losing faith in one Bob Eiger. I really am. I'm losing faith in him because I thought he'd at least be better than Chapic, but I don't think he is, and I don't think he can get the job done. And I think that shareholders have kind of had it. And I think at some point they're going to have to spin off these media

businesses, and I know he's not going to get the money he wants for ABC. It just is what it is. It's a fallen network, okay? Bob, get over it. Cut your life. losses. Keep BSPN because I do think the sports thing will work for you and you can charge enough of a subscription. Disney Plus, maybe, I mean, but you got to get back to what Disney is. Good, wholesome entertainment. Not all this crazy stuff that you keep trying to force feed us. I mean, nobody wants to take their kids to see that. So you got a long ways to go. The cruise business, though, Rob and I have talked about this around 76 research. The cruise business is pretty good, although that's going downhill too. I think they're cutting some costs if you would, even in the

cruise business. This company I don't love. I just don't love it. And I think that they're going to have a lot of challenges. And they should have taken Nelson Peltz's advice way back. He was, you know, trying to help them spiff up the place and earn more money. But they didn't want to take the advice. Bob thought it hard. He lived to see another day. But how many I do not know. I really do not know. Oh, the viral moment. I got to tell you about you guys, this is. unbelievable. I absolutely love this. Let me see if I can find it because, you know, Scott Besson, did you hear the rumor about Scott Besson, our Treasury Secretary? This was unbelievable to me. I didn't know that Scott was such a toughie. I mean,

Scott Besson allegedly might have been the one responsible for the powwow on Elon's face. I don't know if it's true. I don't know if it's true. I don't want to get in trouble for spreading rumors. But apparently, don't mess with Bessent. He's tougher than he looks, okay? Well, there is a Democrat representative from Congress that decided to mess with Bessent. And you know what? He kind of knows the economy inside and out. And he knows what the inflation data is. And he knows what the tariff data is. And he knows what the budget and everything. He's a really, really, really smart guy. and I can tell you that I have friends that have worked with him, and they say he's just one of the best, one of the best minds in finance.

So this little Congress lady, maybe she's not so little, she decides to tackle him on inflation, because I guess some things in her grocery store are higher, even though the overall trajectory is overwhelmingly lower for inflation, which is very, very good news. And so watch this, when he tries to explain just the stats to her, she accuses him of mansplaining. I mean, it's kind of funny, right?

I mean, just, it sort of is. Like, he's actually, he's actually, on background, he's gay and he actually has the highest position of any gay individual in any administration ever. So it's just sort of like, wow, lady. Like the fact that he's male, I guess, is the problem. And the fact that she doesn't know anything about the economy. Here we go.

In fact, we've already seen that prices are rising on many everyday goods. No, Congresswoman, today we had a 1.1 increase. The time is mine. Please don't interrupt me. I mean, she really just humiliated herself with that. And we're just like tired of it, okay? Can we just go back to being a meritocracy where, you know what, you can succeed based on your own merits? It's not our fault. You don't understand the economy. Don't make it about you being a woman. He's not trying to mansplain you. That's what she's accusing of doing. I mean, you hear the whole room go, oh. So she's looking for her 20 seconds of fame, I suppose. Can I show you some inflation data?

Hey, Ms. Sanchez, if you want to take a look at this, it would be behoove you to take a look at this. So here we go. This is just a clip from the Wall Street Journal. Do you see that really high peak? I drew red arrows all over it? That was during the Biden administration. Yep, that was good old Biden,

because you see he printed all that money. He put out a third stimulus check, if you can imagine. He also decided to team up with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi and they printed trillions of more dollars over there. And then you had the Federal Reserve doing the same thing. So it was like triple whammy, right? You just had money coming up, the wazoo out, the wazoo everywhere you looked. So lots of money printing, which led to massive amounts of inflation.

Yeah, that's what happens. And so, you know, that graph shows you how bad it got. You see CPI there and it's got both core and both overall. I like to look at both and I don't have a problem with overall because, you know, it includes food and energy and let's face it, people pay for food and energy, but you want to see how far that's come down. I mean, that's pretty drastic, right? That's like a, you went up the mountain and now we're coming down the mountain. And so we are dealing with low inflation right now. We have very good. employment numbers better than anticipated. And I think that they need to kind of recognize the obvious because when inflation was high, nobody would recognize it. On Morning Joe, they tried to say, but the economy is doing so well. It's so great. And it's not. It's not when people are paying so

much more for everything. The other thing that's kind of cool to look at is that we are taking in some revenue from tariffs. And this is a little bit surprising. We'll see how it all shakes out. of the architecture of one Scott Besant, and we've got $22 billion that we brought in in revenue from tariffs in May. So again, lots of good economic signals there as we look at the market. As we look at the market today,

I told you that Walmart's tanking, right? Up a little bit from where it was earlier. When you see Walmart down the 1% and the overall market trading higher, it's almost like more of a kick in the pants, if you would because it suggests that, you know, and the overall market, is, the broader indices are higher right now, it suggests that, you know, investors are concerned.

They're concerned about this potential boycott for real. I'm looking at shares of Disney. They are also down more than 1%. So that's not a good sign for Disney as well. So some of these companies that just, I think, have sort of fundamental flaws in them because of their political biases are going to continue paying the price.
